Was Klaus Eberwein, Found Shot In The Head In Miami Hotel, Supposed To Testify About Clinton Foundation Corruption? Suicided?
[RedStateWatcher] A former Haitian official who was expected to expose the Clinton malpractice and corruption.

Yournewswire.com reported: Klaus Eberwein, a former Haitian government official who was expected to expose the extent of Clinton Foundation corruption and malpractice next week, has been found dead in Miami. He was 50.

Eberwein was due to appear next Tuesday before the Haitian Senate Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission where he was widely expected to testify that the Clinton Foundation misappropriated Haiti earthquake donations from international donors.

According to Miami-Dade’s medical examiner records supervisor, the official cause of death is "gunshot to the head". Eberwein’s death has been registered as "suicide."

Eberwein, who had acknowledged his life was in danger, was a fierce critic of the Clinton Foundation’s activities in the Caribbean island, where he served as director general of the government’s economic development agency, Fonds d’assistance économique et social, for three years.

According to Eberwein, a paltry 0.6% of donations granted by international donors to the Clinton Foundation with the express purpose of directly assisting Haitians actually ended up in the hands of Haitian organizations. A further 9.6% ended up with the Haitian government. The remaining 89.8% ‐ or $5.4 billion ‐ was funneled to non-Haitian organizations.

"The Clinton Foundation, they are criminals, they are thieves, they are liars, they are a disgrace," Eberwein said at a protest outside the Clinton Foundation headquarters in Manhattan last year.

The former director general of Haiti, who also served as an advisor to Haitian President Michel Martelly, was also a partner in a popular pizza restaurant in Haiti, Muncheez, and even has a pizza -- the Klaus Special -- named after him.
According to the Haiti Libre newspaper, Eberwein was said to be in "good spirits", with plans for the future. His close friends and business partners are shocked by the idea he may have committed suicide.

"It’s really shocking," said Muncheez’s owner Gilbert Bailly. "We grew up together; he was like family."
Bailly said he last spoke to Eberwein two weeks ago and he was in good spirits. They were excited about future business plans and were working on opening a Muncheez restaurant in Sunrise, he said.

The Haitian government issued an official notice thanking Eberwein for his service and mourning his untimely death.

#1  Another person dead exposing them.

The trend is too supporting at this point to suggest suicide.

The Clintons and their organization need to be destroyed. Completely.

#2  I don't necessarily subscribe to the "Clinton Curse," but, if true, they are stone-cold killers.

The "Premier" political couple in The United States of America believe murder is an effective and acceptable means of silencing.

Let that sink in.

Pennsylvania murders: Two charged in deaths of four young men
[BBC] Two men are now charged with the killings of four young men in an affluent Philadelphia suburb.

Cosmo DiNardo and Sean Kratz, both 20, each face violentless crime murder charges as well as multiple counts of conspiracy, robbery and abuse of a corpse.

Police have confirmed all four men, missing since last week, were found buried on a farm belonging to Mr DiNardo's family.
Both men have confessed to investigators, according to officials.

The accused men - who told investigators they are cousins - allegedly sold the victims cannabis before killing them separately and burning their bodies on Mr DiNardo's family's farm, according to the Bucks County district attorney.

Investigators found the body of Dean Finocchiaro, 19, who disappeared last Friday, in a "common grave" on the 90-acre farm in suburban Philadelphia.

Mark Sturgis, 22, and Tom Meo, 21, also went up in smoke vanished on 7 July, and Jimi Tar Patrick, 19, went missing two days earlier.

#2  Some hot shots select "gear up" during taxi and the takeoff roll. relying upon the squat switch to keep the tires rolling until rotation. This allows a "cooler" looking takeoff and (depending upon the aircraft and airspeed) minimizes drag -> enhanced climb.

Sometimes, however, a rotation will hiccup (runway surface, wind vector shift, etc.), allowing an aircraft so programmed to settle back on the runway sans "down and locked" with spectacular optics.

Why the Post Office Gives Amazon Special Delivery

[WSJ] A Citigroup analysis finds each box gets a $1.46 subsidy. It's like a gift card from Uncle Sam.
Key point in article:
Amazon is big enough to take full advantage of "postal injection," and that has tipped the scales in the internet giant's favor. Select high-volume shippers are able to drop off presorted packages at the local Postal Service depot for "last mile" delivery at cut-rate prices. With high volumes and warehouses near the local depots, Amazon enjoys low rates unavailable to its competitors. My analysis of available data suggests that around two-thirds of Amazon's domestic deliveries are made by the Postal Service. It's as if Amazon gets a subsidized space on every mail truck.
Amazon does most of the shipping then deliver to local post offices for "last mile" delivery instead of their own brown trucks...What's the problem?

Much more at link.

#2  Except I have no mail delivery at my house - I use a PO Box. So, since January 2016 packages went to the post office and I had to drive downtown and shlep them home. All were late. (And, should you try to sent Prime to a PO box, you are told it can't be done! ) A year of complaints got me nowhere. Then, magically, this January my Prime packages started appearing at my front door again and all is well with the world.

#3  Amazon does most of the shipping then deliver to local post offices for "last mile" delivery instead of their own brown trucks...What's the problem?

Given that Amazon sucked up the cost of transportation and handling up to the 'last mile', its the competitors that are having a problem. Adapt or perish. From a different perspective, it appears the USPS is leveraging their assets to keep their game going. They, USPS, need the business since 1st Class Mail has been cratering.

#7  Given that Amazon sucked up the cost of transportation and handling up to the 'last mile', its the competitors that are having a problem. Adapt or perish.

Yup. The internet, especially Amazon, is the small/medium business' greatest competition. I understand even the big boys are getting a little antsy, such as Wal-Mart dabbling with the idea of a delivery service in addition to their normal on-line activities.

Like Besoeker pointed out, I used to slam my hand when I could find on Amazon/etc. my stock item for 20% less than my distributor's price to me. Judo, baby. Lots of people (speaking locally of course) do not have credit cards, do not use credit cards on-line, do not have the time or talent for searching, so we provide at a minimum fee internet shopping for said groups which includes Amazon. We take the delivery, inspect, send back if damaged, call when in, even deliver if person is unable to make it here.

#8  It should be pointed out that Amazon started this I believe in 2014 where in 2013 Fed Ex and UPS dropped the ball and blew off alot of next day shipments for Xmas. Amazon had to refund quite a bit of money for packages that were not deliverd in time for Xmas. At the same time the post office was really needing business . Having worked in one of the sort centers works like this, trucks come from the fulfillment centers they get unloaded and sorted to zip code then they are sent to those PO for finial delivery. There were even some pallets destined for APO/FPO( we were told they were destined for a freight forwarder) from the names I guess they were headed for the sandbox. Also they are starting to use their own trucks for some high volume areas

#9  I live a few miles from one of Amazon's public pickup points. I don't mind driving down there the next day to pick up a Prime order, it's rather fun to get something that fast for so little extra (or even for less).

Mercer's take on Hiring Another Swamp Creature For The FBI
[Townhall] Christopher Wray, President Donald Trump's FBI director nominee, seems a perfectly nice man. But nothing he has said during confirmation hearings, on July 12, distinguishes him as someone who would reform Barack Hussein Obama’s Islamophilic FBI.

President Trump ran on a quixotic set of ideas about aggressively stopping Islamic terror. Like a fly in amber, the standard operating procedures (SOP) governing the Obama Federal Bureau of Investigation guarantee to preserve the same systemic, intractable failures that unleashed mass murderer Omar Mateen or Syed Farook and bride Tashfeen Malik, to maim and murder dozens of Americans.

From Wray's comments to the Senate Judiciary Committee, we know how he'll bravely break with President Trump but that he's partial to his predecessor, James Comey. To wit, Wray said he sided with Comey in rejecting a domestic surveillance program in 2004, "... not because he knew the substance of the dispute," but because of his affection for Comey.

Given his unalloyed loyalty, Wray'll be unlikely to remove from FBI training manuals the fiction about Jihad being a peaceful pillar of the Islamic faith.

To get a sense of how the outfit being glorified by the Senate panel operates, consider this: You hire a private firm to protect you, only to discover that, as part of your protection plan, your protectors undergo sensitivity training to desensitize them to potential perpetrators and evil-doers, thus giving the latter easy access to you and yours. This "strategy" would endanger your life. The company executing this harebrained scheme, moreover, would be in violation of its contractual obligation to keep you safe. If you came to harm, you'd sue.

But first, fire the fools before they get you killed.

#2  The problem is, 'swamp dwellers' are all that are available at this level and at this point in time. The machinery needs to function, and you sometimes have to go with the 'least bad' option, at least in the near term, and hope you have the option to correct things down the road.

92% of left-wing activists in Berlin live with their parents and one in three is unemployed
h/t Instapundit
The vast majority of left-wing protesters arrested on suspicion of politically-fuelled offences in Berlin are young men who live with their parents, a new report found.

The figures, which were published in daily newspaper Bild revealed that 873 suspects were investigated by authorities between 2003 and 2013.

Of these 84 per cent were men, and 72 per cent were aged between 18 and 29.

More than half of the arrests were made in the Berlin districts of Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg and Mitte, mostly during demonstrations.

A third of them were unemployed, and 92 per cent still live with their parents.

The figures published in the Berlin newspaper said of the offences committed against a person, in four out of five cases the victims were police officers.

In 15 per cent of these cases, the victims were right wing activists.

The new figures were released by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV).

Between 2009 and 2013, the Bild report claims, left-wing assassins attempted to commit 11 murders.

Government
Our Civilization Deserves to Fail
[Townhall] You don’t wish the worst for people or nations that you care about. You don’t want your friend who’s driving drunk to crash his car. You don’t want your cousin who has unprotected sex with a prostitute to get a STD. You don’t want your kid who’s pointing a realistic- looking toy gun at a police officer to get shot. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes."

It’s bad when someone you care about plays those stupid games because it can wreck his life and the lives of the people around him. It’s worse when your country is involved because it can hurt all those same people and their children, along with everyone else in the nation.

That’s exactly the situation we’re in here in our country because the truth we all hate to talk about is that America DESERVES to fail.

I don’t want that to happen. After all, this is the greatest country ever on God’s green earth. We have the most incredible military, the most powerful economy and we’ve done so much for the world. Without us, the bad guys would have won WWI, WWII and the Cold War. We’ve been the indispensable nation.

Are we still?

Today, Americans would rather sit out a war, no matter how important, rather than see our soldiers die as they did during WWI. We weren’t able to deal with less than 4,000 deaths in Iraq while we lost more than 13 times that number in WWI. Our industrial production was the decisive factor in the Allied Victory in WWII. Just to give you one example, when the war started, we had 3,000 planes and by the time it was over, we had produced 300,000. Could we do that again? No. Just no. Do we still have the sort of leadership it took to win the Cold War? The jury is still out on that one, but I doubt it. If the Soviet Union was still around today, half our military secrets would be leaked to it through the New York Times while idiots would laud the leakers improving "transparency in government." Even while Reagan was taking the steps that brought the Soviets down, Hollywood and the Democrat Party were fighting him every step of the way & we’ve gone even further backwards since then.

Along those same lines, Hoover Dam was built in five years. Today, there would be hashing things out with lawyers and environmental rights wackos for that long and it is doubtful that it could be built at all. Remember when we shocked the world by putting a man on the moon in 1969? Well today, we’re no longer capable of going to get the flag we left there. Instead, we’re obsessing over whether men with mental problems who believe they’re women should be treated like real women. There are more educated people than ever before, but fewer people who seem capable of thinking. We’ve gone so far backwards that as the great Thomas Sowell said, "The problem isn't that Johnny can't read. The problem isn't even that Johnny can't think. The problem is that Johnny doesn't know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling."

So what are our politicians doing about these issues? Our country owes trillions of dollars it never intends to pay off; Social Security and Medicare are both in the red and unsustainable; our borders are unsecured; basket-case enemy nations have acquired nuclear weapons; thanks to Obama race relations are at their worst point since the sixties and more Americans hate each other over their political views than any time since the Civil War. So what’s Congress working on? Well, here’s the hot new topic that Congress seems to really care about...

Homeland Security confirms special entry for Russian lawyer
[The Hill] The Homeland Security Department confirmed Friday that Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya was granted special entry to the United States on multiple occasions in 2015 and 2016 at the request of the Justice Department.

It also said Veselnitskaya eventually won a nonimmigrant work visa around the time she met President Trump’s eldest son in New York last summer.

Skipping down a bit.

Homeland’s statement confirmed court testimony and records cited by The Hill on Wednesday that Veselnitskaya was initially turned down for a visa to enter the United States and required the special immigration parole permission as late as January 2016. The court records did not indicate how she entered the country after that time.

A federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's office in Manhattan told the court in a hearing in January 2016 that the "extraordinary circumstances" parole request needed to be approved by Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

Right Scoop - Same topic.

#1  Strange isn't it? A meeting or meetings with U.S. political campaign personnel really doesn't seem to fit the stated purpose of the DoJ approved "extraordinary circumstances" parole request.

Just to be on the safe side, one might suppose Veselnitskaya's communications and activities would have been monitored by DoJ and the FBI for counterintelligence purposes. A timeline of DoJ and FBI's knowledge of the Trump Jr. meeting might be informative.

I believe the phrase 'evil empire' was first applied to the former Soviet Union in 1983 by then U.S. President Ronald Reagan. Encouraging to see the democrats (after 34 years) have become Reagan believers. If not believers, clandestine political exploiters.

a group that joined a powerful jihadist alliance formed in March,
...that would be the Group to Support Islam and Moslems, led by Ansar Dine’s Iyag Ag Ghaly...
was killed in the town of Mougna by Mali's National Guard, a military source told AFP.
Good.
Sangare was behind "several attacks in the area against police and customs checkpoints," the same source said, specifically along the mostly non-existent border with Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
on July 8 and 9.

Sangare's death follows the killing of a dozen jihadists this week by joint Malian-French forces in the troubled north, while an attack by Islamists on Malian soldiers dead left three troops dead and five more still missing.

The French army said in a statement Thursday that fighting "took out several Lions of Islam in the Gao-Ansongo region," between July 10 and July 12, requiring helicopter and drone cover.

Elsewhere, non-jihadist gangs faced off in the region of Kidal on Tuesday, violating a ceasefire as they battled for control around the Anefis area, which they have fought over for two years.

Mali's north is controlled in parts by gangs loyal to Bamako and in others by former rebels who want greater autonomy for the region, while the state is absent from much of the territory.

Head of the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
peacekeeping mission in the country Mahamat Saleh Annadif noted that the festivities between the Gatia pro-government group and the former rebels of the Coordination of Movements of Azawad (CMA) took place as a committee aimed at enforcing a peace accord was in session.

Both sides signed a 2015 peace deal aimed at curbing violence in Mali's north, but both have repeatedly violated a ceasefire.

Several of the peace deal's key planks have yet to be fully implemented, while jihadists continue to roam the north and center of the country, despite being ousted from key northern towns by an ongoing French-led military intervention in 2013.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shouting match, Bart was wondering if fisticuffs would be appropriate at this point...
former rebels still control the city of Kidal.

Palestinian killed in clashes with IDF near Bethlehem
[IsraelTimes] Army says forces came under assault during arrest operation.

Israeli soldiers rubbed out a Paleostinian during festivities in a West Bank refugee camp south of Jerusalem on Friday morning, officials said.

According to the military, during an arrest raid in the Deheishe refugee camp, outside Bethlehem, Paleostinians began throwing large rocks and bombs at the troops.

In response, the soldiers opened fire "in order to remove the threat," the army said.

According to Paleostinian officials, a resident of the refugee camp was shot and killed. He was identified as 21-year-old Ismail Hamamda by the official Paleostinian Authority news outlet Wafa.

Military officials said they were aware of the Paleostinian reports, but would not comment on their veracity.

No soldiers were reported injured, the army said.

The festivities in Deheishe occurred at approximately the same time as a shooting attack by Paleostinian snuffies near the Temple Mount complex in Jerusalem’s Old City.

American Airlines passenger details 'horrifying' flight next to masturbating seat-mate
[FOXNEWS] An American Airlines passenger is speaking out about a "horrifying" ordeal she experienced on a recent flight.

Chloe King, a social media manager from New York City, was en route to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Gay Paree, La Belle France, when she awoke from a nap to learn that the man next to her had been masturbating while she slept, reports the New York Daily News.

In an essay she wrote for Medium, King explained that the woman seated on the man’s other side (he was in the middle seat, King was by the window) saw the man masturbating and informed a flight attendant, who allowed the woman to switch seats.

According to King, the man was informed that he would be locked away
Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un!
upon landing, but King herself was not notified or woken up by the flight crew during the incident. She only learned of the man’s actions after she awoke a bit later, as the plane was descending toward Charles de Gualle. King says at that point, a flight attendant called her to the back of the plane and explained what had happened, because "they just wanted to let me know."

"What they didn’t do was wake me up and move me to a safe place," King wrote in her Medium article, titled "We've Now Reached Creeping Altitude."

King further claims that she wasn’t allowed to switch seats, unlike the other woman who had been seated next to the man.

Note to self: Reporting a case of suspected passenger in-flight wanking could result in upgraded seating.

The People Versus Abdul Aziz
[DAWN] Ten years ago as millions watched the spectacle of the Lal Masjid
...literally the Red Mosque, located in Islamabad and frequented by all sorts of high govt officials. The proprietors, Ghazi Abdul Rasheed and Maulana Abdul Aziz Ghazi, unleashed their Islamic storm troopers on the city, shutting down whorehouses and beating people up who weren't devout enough. The Musharraf govt put an end to the nonsense by besieging the place. Abdul Aziz Ghazi was nabbed while he was trying to escape dressed up like a girl. BBC reported that the corpse count at 173, but other claims, usually hysterical, say there were up to 1000 titzup. Among their number was Abdul Rashid Ghazi. Everyone then said tut-tut and what a nice guy he had been...
siege that brought the capital to its knees, few could have imagined that one day the protagonist of this huge national embarrassment, the man who triggered the killing of 11 Pak soldiers on live television, would ever walk free again. Even fewer now recall that before his unveiling on national television as the burqa-clad would-be escapee, nobody outside the mosque had ever seen Maulana Abdul Aziz
...nutball holy man who runs the Lal Masjid in the heart of Pakistain's capital. After instigating a rebellion against the state in 2007, he was caught trying to sneak away dressed in a burka. He rejects democracy as un-Islamic, which it probably is...

Al shabaab indentified the two commanders as Hussein Hassan Guduud and Calow Madliif who were killed in the ambush attack on the Southwest army convoy.

Iraq
1 dead in bombing attack in Ibrahim bin Ali region
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A policeman was killed and another was wounded as a bomb blast targeted their patrol in western Baghdad, a police source said on Friday.

“A bomb planted on the side of the road in Ibrahim bin Ali region, western Baghdad, exploded on Friday targeting a police patrol, which left one personnel killed and another injured,” a source told AlSumaria News.

“Security troops transferred the victim to forensic medicine department and the injured to the hospital for treatment,” the source, who preferred anonymity, said.

Violence in the country has surged further with the emergence of Islamic State Sunni extremist militants who proclaimed an “Islamic Caliphate” in Iraq and Syria in 2014.

More than 700 Iraqis were killed and wounded during the month of June as result of violence and armed conflicts, according to a monthly count by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) which excludes security members deaths. Baghdad ranked the second place with 22 deaths and 88 injuries.

Bombings and armed attacks are seen on on almost a daily basis against security members, paramilitary groups and civilians since the Iraqi government launched a wide-scale campaign to retake IS-occupied areas in 2016.

According to observers, IS is believed to constitute a security threat even after the group’s defeat at its main havens across Iraqi provinces.

Palmyra artifacts recovered by Syrian Army
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has recovered several artifacts that were stolen from the ancient city of Palmyra by the so-called Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS), the Syrian Arab News Agency reported on Friday.

According to SANA the Syrian Arab Army and competent local authorities completed four major busts in and around the ancient city.

SANA added that the stolen statues were handed over to the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums, as these ancient artifacts date back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries A.D.

General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums considered that the statues had been stolen from the tombs of the southeastern cemetery which was repeatedly looted by ISIS terrorists.

Director of the Museum Affairs at the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums Mohammad Nazir Awad told SANA Saturday that the Directorate received the statues, asserting that the current situation of the statues will be studied and assessed.

Awad added that the directorate has become one of the pioneering institutions in fighting the illegal trafficking of ruins on the global level due to its cooperation with the competent authorities.

Cartel Violence Spills into Texas as Gunmen Storm Past U.S. Border Security
[BREITBART] Two cartel gunmen fleeing from a raging gun battle with Mexican authorities ran through U.S. border security measures twice as they crossed into Texas and back; using their vehicle to ram barriers.

The cartel gunmen were able to cross into Eagle Pass through International Bridge #2 by running the security checkpoints. Shortly after they crossed back through a second bridge that was closed at the time. The gunmen used their vehicle to ram security barriers and later ditched it escape on foot.

The violence began overnight near the rural community of Nava, Coahuila, when authorities received information about two gunmen riding in a late model white Toyota Tundra, information provided to Breitbart Texas by Coahuila law enforcement revealed.

State police officers with a special investigative unit spotted the vehicle along Boulevard Carranza near the intersection with Airport Boulevard in the border city of Piedras Negras. Officers tried to pull over the gunmen but were met with gunfire as they sped off–setting off a high-speed chase.

The gunmen were able to reach the main plaza in Piedras Negras, Plaza de Las Culturas, where they once again engaged law enforcement in a short firefight. As they made their way to the International Bridge #2, gunmen rammed their way through other vehicles and barriers as they used the inbound lanes through Mexican Customs to reach the U.S. side of the bridge.

Coahuila state police officers contacted their counterparts in Texas. Before American authorities were able to apprehend the shooters, they made their way to another international bridge, locally known as Bridge 1. While the crossing was closed at the time, the gunmen were able to ram through the security barriers and make their way back into Mexico.

Breaking: Lynch Ordered Manafort's Phone Tapped During Veselnitskaya Meeting
Things that make you go "Hmmmmm......"
[PacificPundit] Today, Fusion GPS employee Rinat Akhmetshin today confirmed his attendance at a meeting with Donald Trump Jr, Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner along with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya.

Accusations have arisen that the meeting was part of a wider setup to achieve a FISA warrant to wiretap phones of the Trump campaign during 2016. President Trump himself has accused the FBI under Loretta Lynch of wiretapping his campaign.

Now, a former Trump campaign official reports that Paul Manafort’s phone was subject to FISA wiretap during the infamous meeting.

If true, this FISA warrant would have been carried out under Loretta Lynch, Attorney General to Barack Obama. Former FBI Director James Comey has testified under oath to instances of collusion between AG Lynch and the Clinton campaign during 2016, as well as obstruction of justice in the Clinton investigation.

Yesterday, multiple news agencies and President Trump all stated that Veselnitskaya was granted special permission to enter the US by Attorney General Lynch after her visa had been initially blocked.

FISA transcripts of the meeting in June 2016 may have also served the basis of the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia, now headed by Bob Mueller.

Other senior members of the Trump campaign may have participated in the meeting via conference call.
Update: This would have been illegal, as FISA court denied Obama’s June 2016 request.

In May, Reuters reported the FBI was investigating 18 undisclosed meetings between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and individuals who may be associated with Russia.

Also in May, Jack Posobiec broke the news that one of these meetings took place with a member of the Trump family who was not Jared Kushner. This turned out to be Donald Trump Jr.

Nothing at Drudge or Fox on this yet. Lots of circular reporting in Fringelandia.

#1  The Bottom Line is the Dims want full centralized control of the elections.

1) have total centralized control of the election process under the DOJ
2) which Jeh Johnson did try to access an election system but was caught and deflected by the firewall in place in 2016
3) by trying to frame a "corrupt" election on Trump and the Russians
4) by framing Trump Jr, Jared, Manafort claiming they assisted the Russians of accessing the election systems
5) by saying that the voting results were modified by the Russian hacking to favor a Trump win...

which after 6 months NO EVIDENCE OF ANY OF THIS HAS BEEN FOUND. (but if only they could still pull this whole charade off Trump is impeached, the Dims and the establishment Republicans are back in control, the DOJ can now demand control of the elections and non-establishment Pubs would rarely ever win a key election again.

This is how retched and corrupt the Dims and the BSM (bull shit media) have become.

#2  Quite an interesting comment and fact string at FP's #1.

I'm now nearly 2/3 of the way thru Martin Meredith's 'The Fate of Africa.' As Meredeth takes the reader through a 'deep-dive' of the past century and each African despot's near universally tragic political tenure, the single-party corruption and brutal tribal theme is painfully similar. One cannot escape the parallels to our own pre-Trump political process, e.g., corrupt beltway party, and the current attempts by democrats of a political coup d' etat, to include the violence, requisite threats of violence, and mysteriously unexplained deaths.

Safe from what?
I have two sons. They are strong and compassionate—the kind of boys other parents are glad to meet when their daughters bring them home for dinner. They are good boys, in the ways good boys are, but they are not safe boys. I’m starting to believe there’s no such thing.

FEC Shoots Down Democrat’s Plan to Target Conservative Media
[BREITBART] The Federal Election Commission (FEC) has declined a proposal by Democrat Commissioner Ellen Weintraub to undertake new rulemaking regarding alleged foreign influence in the 2016 election to target conservative media including the Drudge Report and Breitbart News, stating it “cannot support proposals that would burden the free speech rights of American citizens based on incomplete information about foreign activities in the 2016 election.”

The FEC has declined to consider new rulemaking over alleged foreign influence in the 2016 presidential election that could target conservative media including InfoWars and Breitbart News.

Vice Chair Caroline Hunter and Commissioners Lee Goodman and Matthew Petersen, further describe Weintraub’s proposal as one that would “‘blunt’ the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizen’s United.” In the opinion of three members who wrote the statement, there is no information currently showing that the FEC’s existing rules that prohibit foreign involvement in U.S. elections are “inadequate to detect, enforce, and punish violations.”

The statement was released by the three Republicans serving as FEC commissioners. Weintraub and Democrat Steven Walther are the other two current members, meaning there is at least a 3-2 majority in the Republicans favor on this issue.

Nisar dismisses speculations of differences with PML-N leadership
[DAWN] Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Friday rubbished the impression that he had developed differences with the PML-N leadership.

"Neither did the minister walk out from the last meeting of the cabinet, nor was there any altercation during the session," a statement issued by the interior ministry said.

The spokesperson urged the media to avoid "illogical speculations and unrealistic comments" regarding the minister.

"A section of media ran baseless news in this regard," the statement read.

"Chaudhary Nisar could not attend the party's parliamentary meeting, held today, due to his personal engagements and this was not the first instance so this should not be misinterpreted," the ministry said, adding that Nisar will present his viewpoint in the next few days on the prevailing situation through media.

Earlier on Thursday, sources had told Dawn that the interior minister lauded the prime minister for presenting himself and his family for accountability, but warned that the party should exercise caution while handling the situation that had arisen after the release of the JIT report.

Three gunnies on a cycle of violence attacked police in al-Badrasheen area of Giza province, 30km south of Cairo, killing two officers and three conscripts, the agency said on Friday, citing a security source.

"A police officer who was near the site of the attack exchanged fire with the assailants, forcing them to flee," the ministry statement said.

Attackers stole the weapons and radios of the victims and tried to set fire to the bodies but fled when they saw people gathering nearby, witnesses said.

No group immediately grabbed credit for the attack but Egyptian security forces have been battling the local affiliate of the Islamic State

of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS, also known as ISIS) in the northern Sinai area and attacks have spread to other parts of Egypt.

Hundreds of soldiers and police have been killed since 2013 in the Sinai Peninsula. At least 23 soldiers were killed last week when suicide boom-mobiles hit two checkpoints in the region in an attack claimed by ISIS.

Israeli police release Jerusalem’s top Muslim cleric
[AA.TR] Israeli police on Friday released Jerusalem’s top Moslem holy man Sheikh Mohammad Hussein who was detained earlier near the al-Aqsa mosque, Paleostine's official news agency WAFA reported.

The mufti was taken into custody from the Bab al-Asbat area (Lion’s Gate) after Friday prayer.

"Israeli police detained my father in a violent manner and took him to unknown destination," Omar, son of the grand mufti, had told Anadolu Agency.

Hundreds of Paleostinians performed Friday prayer in Bab al-Asbat after they were prevented from praying at the al-Aqsa mosque.
Ynet adds:
The police also brought in for questioning Hussein's predecessor, Ekrima Sa'id Sabri, who currently delivers the Friday sermon at the al-Aqsa Mosque.

Sabri served as the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem between 1994 and 2006 and was dismissed by PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
due to his Death Eater views, which were not consistent with the PA's official policy.

Sabri has indirectly expressed his support for terror attacks against Israel over the years, and according to his public statements, he shares many of his opinions with Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",. As a result of his Death Eater views, he has been under the scrutiny of the Israeli defense establishment for some time.

US, Somalia forces raid al-Shabab, kill several
[SHABELLENEWS] United States and Somali military forces raided a rebel-held village in southern Somalia and killed several al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
fighters early Thursday, a senior Somali intelligence official said, as both countries step up efforts against Africa’s deadliest Islamic krazed killer group.

Somali commandos accompanied by U.S. forces in two helicopters raided two locations, the official said. They included a detention center run by al-Shabaab in Kunya-Barrow village in Lower Shabelle region, and an unknown number of detainees were freed.

Troops engaged a small number of krazed killer fighters, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press.

There was no immediate comment from the U.S. Africa Command.

The al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab said via its Andalus radio arm that its fighters foiled an attempted raid by U.S. and African forces.

Earlier this month, the U.S. military said it carried out an Arclight airstrike against al-Shabaab in Somalia and was assessing the results. The Arclight airstrike followed another last month that the U.S. said killed eight gunnies at a rebel command and logistics camp in the country’s south. Somalia President Mohammed Abdullahi Mohammed said a training camp near Sakow in the Middle Juba region had been destroyed.

Key Pak politician warns Islamabad regarding persistent interference in Afghan affairs
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] A key political figure in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa tribal region of Pakistan Mahmood Achakzai has warned Islamabad regarding the persistent interference of Islamabad in the internal affairs of Afghanistan.

Speaking during a gathering in Quetta city, Achakzai said the persistent interferences could have negative consequences that will take Pakistan towards major crisis.

He also warned that such interferences would also have a negative impact and could sabotage the efforts to establish the China and Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

This comes as the Afghan officials have long been insisting that the leadership councils of the Taliban group and the notorious Haqqani terrorist network are based in Peshawar, Quetta, and other parts of Pakistan from where they plan and coordinate attacks in Afghanistan.

The US Department of Defense in its report also said last month that “Afghan oriented militant groups, including the Taliban and Haqqani Network, retain freedom of action inside Pakistani territory and benefit from support from elements of the Pakistani Government.”

The report further added “Although Pakistani military operations have disrupted some militant sanctuaries, certain extremist groups—such as the Taliban and the Haqqani Network—were able to relocate and continue to operate in and from Pakistan. The United States continues to convey to Pakistan at all levels the importance of taking action against all terrorist and extremist groups.”

Pakistan says political incentives key to bring Afghan Taliban to negotiations table
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] As the Afghan officials have long been criticizing Islamabad for supporting the anti-government armed militant groups in Afghanistan, specifically the Taliban and the notorious Haqqani terrorist network, the Pakistani officials have once again started to lobby in favor of the group, emphasizing on consideration of political incentives to encourage the group to reconciliation negotiations.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Nafees Zakaria made the remarks during a press briefing on Thursday.

“Pakistan believes that there is no military solution to the conflict in Afghanistan. The focus should be on a politically negotiated settlement under an Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process,” Zakariza said.

He also added “We believe the focus should be on exploring political incentives that can attract Taliban to negotiations. In the same spirit, Pakistan has welcomed the peace deal with Hizb-i-Islami and we believe that this can serve as a model.”

The Pakistani foreign ministry spokesman was responding to a question regarding the warnings issued by President Ghani to accept peace talks or get ready for the inclusion in the global list of specially designated terrorist groups.

President Ghani said last week that the Taliban group should understand that time is not waiting for them.

“They should wholeheartedly accept the peace process or they should get ready to be included in the international list of the globally designated terrorists,” President Ghani said.

President Ghani further added that the government of national unity has a crystal clear approach and policy towards peace process since the beginning of its formation.

In the meantime, during a meeting with the German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Afghan leader said less time is left for the Taliban group to accept the reconciliation process offers, apparently reiterating the government’s pervious stance that strict military operations policy will adopted along with the efforts to blacklist the group.

President Ghani further added that the priorities of the Afghan government is to reach to a peace agreement with Pakistan first and then with the Taliban group, emphasizing that Taliban is not having a single leadership and apparently gesturing towards the undeclared war being waged by Pakistan as he has consistently been emphasizing upon for a long time.

Chemical in macaroni and cheese tied to birth defects, says study
[FOXNEWS] Your boxed macaroni and cheese might come with a surprise ‐ in the form of harmful chemicals.

The chemicals ‐ known as phthalates ‐ are found in macaroni and cheese dishes that use powdered cheese, according to a new study by the Coalition for Safer Food Processing and Packaging.

Phthalates can pose a risk to small children and pregnant women as they can affect male hormones and have been associated with genital birth defects in infant boys, the New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...
reported. They have also caused learning and behavioral problems in children.

"Although not intentionally added to food, phthalates are ’indirect’ food additives when they escape from food contact materials," the study said. "Phthalates tend to be found at higher levels in highly processed or fatty foods."

The study tested 30 cheese products and found phthalates in all but one of them, it said. But the average phthalate levels were more than four times higher in the macaroni and cheese powder than in hard blocks of cheese, the study found.

#1  Worked for a while during college at a company that made powdered cheese for the boxed mac & cheese product.

Seemingly the worst grades of 'cheese products' (and a bunch of other stuff as noted in the article) was ground and mixed with water, forming a liquid slurry, before it was high-pressure sprayed into huge ovens for drying. Powdered end product was then removed from the oven (that's where I came in) and bagged for transport.

To this day, I can't deal with powdered cheese (or other mass-produced powdered foods) as I know what goes into making it.

Afghanistan
Islamic State's Afghan 'emir' killed in raid, US says
[AA.TR] The leader of ISIS's Afghanistan affiliate was killed in a U.S. raid earlier this week, the Pentagon said Friday.

Abu Sayed, the "emir" of ISIS-Khorasan, was killed July 11 by U.S. forces during a strike on the group's headquarters in Kunar Province
...one of the four N2KL provinces (Nangarhar, Nuristan, Kunar and Laghman). N2KL is the designation used by US and Coalition Forces for the rugged and very violent region opposite Pakistain's Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Northwest Frontier Province. Kunar is the center of the N2KL region. Its population is 95% Pashtun. It is adjacent to Bajaur Agency..
, spokeswoman Dana White said in a statement.

In addition to killing other ISIS-Khorasan members, the raid "will significantly disrupt the terror group's plans to expand its presence in Afghanistan", White said.

"ISIS [ISIS] leaders chose Abu Sayed to lead the group after Afghan and U.S. forces killed the previous ISIS [ISIS]-K leaders - Hafiz Sayed Khan in late July 2016, and Abdul Hasib, in late April of this year," she added, referring to the ISIS in Iraq and Syria, and its Khorasan affiliate.

U.S. forces have been directly involved in anti-ISIS raids in Afghanistan's eastern regions since an offensive in early March with their Afghan counterparts.

The commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, Gen. John Nicholson, said the operation stands as "another success in our campaign to defeat ISIS [ISIS]-K".

"There is no safe haven for ISIS [ISIS]-K in Afghanistan," he said in a statement. "We will continue until they are annihilated."

Syrian Army kills high ranking FSA commander in Daraa
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) targeted a Free Syrian Army
... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund...
(FSA) transport, Wednesday, that was carrying the commander of Regiment 107 in the Dara’a Governorate.

Using a roadside kaboom, the Syrian Arab Army perfectly timed the attack that was to take place along the Sariyah Road in the southern outskirts of Inkhel.

The FSA transport would ultimately get caught by the roadside kabooming, killing the commander of Regiment 107, ’Adnan al-Wadi, and his driver, Ra’ed Najm al-Wadi.

According to a military source in Dara’a, the Syrian Arab Army was able to gather intel regarding al-Wadi’s whereabouts through their large network of spies in the Dara’a Governorate.

Syrian Army 4th Division redeployed from Daraa

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) elite 42nd Brigade (Ghiath Forces) of the 4th Mechanized Division has been given orders that they are to leave the Dara’a Governorate for the Syrian capital of Damascus.

According to an officer from the unit, the 42nd Brigade will be in Damascus for a short period of time before they are deployed to an imperative front in southern Syria.

The officer added that the 42nd Brigade will likely be deployed to either Beit Jinn near the Golan-Damascus border or to the east Damascus suburbs of ’Ayn Tarma and Jobar.

The 42nd Brigade has been deployed to both of the aforementioned fronts before; however, they were pulled back after the jihadist rebels launched a big offensive inside Dara’a City.

Britain
2 men in London carry out 5 acid attacks in 90 minutes
[DAWN] A teenager was tossed in the calaboose
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
by British police after a spate of acid attacks across northeast London left at least one person with life-changing injuries and critically injured several others, BBC reported.

Metropolitan Police say the 90-minute spree of five attacks began late Thursday. Authorities have appealed to the public for more information on the perpetrators.

Two men on a cycle of violence tossed a noxious substance into the face of a 32-year-old moped driver and then jumped on his vehicle and drove away.

The pattern was repeated.

Police said on Friday that the injuries to one man in his mid-20s are considered to be "life changing."

The assaults come just days after a separate incident in which a man appeared in court accused of throwing acid at an aspiring model and her cousin.

Acid becoming weapon of choice among teens in London amid growing attacks

[FOXNEWS] A horrific wave of acid attacks have overtaken London, leaving victims gruesomely disfigured and suffering life-altering injuries amid a growing trend that's seen the corrosive liquid become the weapon of choice for British attackers.

Two teenagers, 15 and 16, were tossed in the clink
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
Friday following an overnight swath of attacks in which men on mopeds injured several people by tossing a noxious substance in their faces.

At least one victim, a man in his 20s, was left with life-changing injuries, police said.

Similar high-profile attacks have been plaguing the British city in recent months. In one assault, a 25-year-old man is accused of throwing acid at an aspiring model and her cousin as they sat in their car.

The number of reported attacks using corrosive liquids rose from 261 in 2015 to 454 in 2016, London police said. Some appeared to be related to gang activity or the theft of cars and cycle of violences.

Most notably, in April, two people were left partially blinded after acid was sprayed at a crowded east London nightclub. A man has been charged and is awaiting trial.

The use of acid in attacks has even spread to children as young as 12 who have been arming themselves with substances "for self-defense."

Heat Street reported in April that students are using acid because it’s much easier to conceal than a knife, with some even placing the liquid in a water bottle. Gang culture has been blamed for the spike in schools.

"A lot of people ain’t got the heart to stab people," a student told The Sun. "It’s just easier to squirt someone."

In February, a student was arrested for an attack that left two teenagers and a man scalded after they were splashed with acid during a soccer match in east London.

London police chief Cressida Dick said officers were concerned by the increase in the "completely barbaric" attacks.

"We will arrest people, we will enforce the law as we can, and we are working very closely with the (government) to try to see if there is any changes in the law required," she told LBC radio.

The spike in attacks has prompted some politicians to call for restrictions on the sale and carrying of corrosive liquids such as sulfuric acid.

#2  A suitable punishment for the acid throwers:

On life television, immobilize them and remove their pants and undies. While holding a bowl up against their wee-wee and balls, Pour acid all over their wee-wee and balls making sure they're completely soaked. Hold/leave bowl in place until it's obvious they can never use them again. Ignore screaming and make sure television audience can hear them.

Lets see how much longer this acid throwing fad will last!

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Mutiny in Donetsk
[ColonelCassad] The Ukrainian 54th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade has been one of the main combat elements involved in repeated attacks on Russian backed rebel positions near the Svetodarsk Arc near the border between eastern Donetsk and western Lugansk.

I haven't been following the fighting closely, on a daily basis that is, but I do monitor both sides' reports from the front.

The Svetodarsk arc is the area that the rebels tried to break through during the Debaltsevo operation in February, 2015, and the area behind which the Ukrainians reinforced to prevent such a breakthrough. It is an area of lakes which would make an attack by the rebels very difficult to break through, and once through, very hard to defend and supply.

At the moment, the Ukrainian military has two combat brigades in the area, both of which have participated in attacks on the areas south of the Arc since the summer of 2016, both attacks of which failed in the face of dug in rebel troops.

Also, in the north attacks the military leadership in both Lugansk and Donetsk have commented how the Right Sector members of the 54th MRB have been driving the attacks.

Since 2015, however, all Right Sector units and other volunteer units have been folded into the Ukrainian military structure, to give the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense more control over what were previously independent -- and unruly -- military units. Independent units have been charged by the rebels with raping and looting, so presumably the move was intended to rein in unruly groups of volunteers.

The volunteer units have a strong political face to them. Some used German SS symbols in their own symbols, and in informal photographs have been seen decked out in swastikas. Some groups' inspiration came from a WWII Ukrainian nationalist partisan named Stepan Bandera, who was known to have collaborated with the Germans in attacks on Soviet forces in the closing days of the war.

Not just the political area, but some groups were composed of criminals released from prison who continued their crimes, this time with government issued weapons. One group in northern Donetsk was so bad, the Ukrainians were forced to launch a military assault on the group to either arrest or kill the elements.

Which researching a story last year I watched a number of videos from the Azov regiment based then in southern Donetsk, around the Mariupol region, in which its commanders were speaking in front of a camera about what their plans were and what was happening at the front

I remember thinking about how young the men were in the video, men who were in their mid 20s planning and carrying out combat operations against the Russian backed rebels.

According to the story by Boris Rozhin, members of a volunteer company within the 54th Motorized brigade refused orders from the brigade commander when their group was broken up and dispersed among other smaller units within the brigade. In nearly all military units, when they have taken heavy losses, this process of regrouping folds experienced troops -- but reduced in strength from combat -- with new units and with fillers to form a new units reduced in size but with maintained or even increased in combat power.

In stories about the attacks in the Svetodarsk Arc, volunteer units have been the main element leading the attack. In at least two of the attacks, I recall reading about how one of the top battalion commanders was drunk when the orders to attack went out, leading me to suspect that volunteer units got the commander drunk, so they could attack.

The amateur characteristics of the fighting has the unmistakable trait of zealots eager to go into a heavy defended area, guns blazing.

It is worth noting that, according to Rozhin, a past commander from the 54th MRB was accused by elements of the volunteer Donbass Regiment of smuggling, which in this part of the world means the commander was delivering goods to the rebels while receiving payment in return. Commanders on both sides, be they large or small formation commanders have been implicated in allowing smuggling through their own lines for goods intended for the political leadership of Donetsk and Lugansk, a charge both rebel governments have vehemently denied.

This forms the backdrop of a long history of enmity between volunteer units and Ukrainian army commanders.

groups.
The heart bleeds... or maybe it was the chili.
The video posted Wednesday shows two purported holy warriors laying on the ground after being tossed from a building, their bodies twitching as they are sprayed with bullets from the rifles of uniformed men.
If you set out to be a merciless soldier of Allah, don't be surprised if other soldiers (of Allah or not) mercilessly shoot your worthless Islamic ass full of holes.
It was posted on the Twitter account of an Iraqi man who routinely publishes dispatches from in and around Mosul ‐ a city that was reclaimed from ISIS by Iraqi forces Monday ‐ Human Rights Watch said. The group said it used satellite imagery to verify that the video was recorded in the Mosul area, but it was not immediately clear when it was filmed.

The Iraqi government said it was investigating the video and that if it is authentic, those responsible would be brought to justice, the BBC reported.

"In the final weeks of the battle for west Mosul, the pervasive attitude that I have observed among armed forces has been of momentum, the desire to get the battle wrapped up as quickly as possible, and a collapse of adherences to the laws of war," Belkis Wille, a senior Iraq researcher at Human Rights Watch, told the BBC.

U.S. Central Command said Monday there are still areas of Mosul that must be cleared of bombs and there are possible ISIS fighters in hiding, but Iraqi forces now "firmly" have control of the city.

Witnesses have been reporting to Human Rights Watch an increasing number of torture incidents and killings of suspected ISIS holy warriors in the Mosul area.

"These reports have been met with congratulations from Baghdad on the victory, only further fostering the feeling of impunity among armed forces in Mosul," Wille told the BBC.

Human Rights Watch said the video of the men being thrown off the building was only one of four posted this week featuring alleged abuses.

Really, you would think those guys would understand the concept of "Do unto others, as you want them to do to you".

Some people just have to learn the hard way.

Do I feel any sympathy for the ISIS guys, not at all, I agree with Frank, those fake human rights groups need to shut up!

Oh BTW, there is no "law of war" in a war!

Germany reaping the whirlwind of infectious diseases admitted to the country along with the migrants
[RefugeeSettlementWatch] As you read this story, do NOT forget that refugees entering the US are being permitted entry even if they have TB. We learned just this week that the state of Minnesota was financially strapped as its health system attempts to cope with infectious diseases in its migrant community.

So although this story involves Germany, you, Americans are not immune!

Just like in Germany the reason you don’t hear about the diseases in the refugee flow to America is because authorities are "downplaying the threat in an effort to avoid fueling anti-immigration sentiments."

And, as I have said repeatedly if Islamic terrorism doesn’t worry you, this should.....

Soddy kop dies in attacks in Qatif
A Saudi policeman has been killed and another wounded following an attack on their patrol vehicle in the kingdom’s oil-rich and Shia-populated Eastern Province as the Riyadh regime continues its heavy-tactics crackdown there.

Saudi Interior Ministry security spokesman Major General Mansour Turki said in a statement published on the official Saudi Press Agency on Friday that the patrol came under fire near al-Rames coast in the al-Nasser district of Qatif at around 10 p.m. (1900 GMT) the previous day.

The statement added that Lance corporal Mohammed Hussein Hazazi lost his life in the shooting, and lance corporal Khalid Ma’aber Hakmi sustained gunshot wounds who was transferred to hospital to receive medical treatment.

Security officials have launched an investigation into the incident.

Syrian Army advances in east Damascus suburb after heavy airstrikes
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has once again advanced in the eastern suburbs of Damascus this week, capturing several sites inside the ’Ayn Tarma Triangle.

Backed by heavy Arclight airstrikes from the SyAAF, the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Elite Republican Guard managed to capture the ’Ayn Tarma Meat Market and several buildings surrounding this after a fierce battle with Faylaq al-Rahman myrmidon.

Meanwhile,
...back at the palazzo, Don Smilzo looked for an avenue of escape. The only window opened a hundred feet above the moat. The nearest of the hired assassins hold a bloody axe.
The window was looking better all the time....

northwest of ’Ayn Tarma, another unit from the 105th Brigade, alongside the Paleostine Liberation Army (PLA) and National Defense Forces (NDF), stormed the myrmidon-held Taybeh District of Jobar, resulting in a series of festivities this morning.

Fierce festivities are still ongoing at several axes in the eastern Damascus today, as the Syrian Arab Army attempts to get the upper-hand in this imperative area near the capital.

Tiger Forces scythe through ISIS lines in Raqqa en-route to Sukhnah -- Map update
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) elite Tiger Forces, backed up by various paramilitary allies, continue to slice through ISIS lines south of Resafa, capturing the town of Khirbet al-Halul and the Kader oil field today.

These latest advances have put the Tiger Forces approximately 5 kilometers away from the town of al-Fahda and its oil field, 11 kilometers away from entering Homs Governonate via Raqqa Governonate, 20 kilometers away from the town of al-Kom and its local lake area and 60 kilometers away from the strategic town of al-Sukhnah.

According to military sources, the Tiger Forces are working on securing the area southeast of Resafa towards the town of al-Zamleh and the highly-strategic Ramilan B’ir area. By accomplishing this specific advance, the SAA would secure the eastern flank of its push towards al-Sukhnah from ISIS counter-attacks.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Entire might of Syrian airpower delivered unto ISIS
[ALMASDARNEWS] Today the entire might of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) was deployed against ISIS throughout Syria. From Hama, to Homs, to Raqqa and Deir Ezzor, the SyAAF mustered every airworthy warplane in its arsenal, loaded them up with bombs, rockets, cannon rounds and missiles and unleashed it upon the terrorist group.

The recent ceasefire established between the United States and Russia in southern Syria has, for the time being, made it possible for the SyAAF to employ all of its combat aviation against the forces of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
Airstrikes by the SyAAF were observed in the eastern Hama countyside (including Abu Hanaya and Salbah), the countryside of eastern Homs (namely Hamimah), rural Raqqa (with bombing reported in al-Shajeri, Khirbet Halul and al-Zamlah) and, finally, the area in and around the strategic city of Deir Ezzor (including al-Kannamat, Huwyjat Saqr and the military airport surroundings).

According to a military source exclusive to al-Masdar News, the Arclight airstrikes led to the death of dozens of ISIS fighters, the destruction of several armored vehicles and Toyota pickups fitted with heavy weapons, scores of artillery pieces and countless trenches.

Most importantly, today was not a one-off. Unfortunately for the terrorist group, as long as the ceasefire remains in effect, it can expect to receive the exact same degree of punishment from above for many more days to come.

Diyala Devastation Digest

2 ISIS troops die in gun fight with Iraqi militia

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Two Islamic State militants were killed in clashes that occurred in northeastern Diyala, the Shia-led paramilitary troops announced.

In a statement on Friday, al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units) said IS fighters attacked a security checkpoint at Imam Wees region, 58 KM northeast of Baqubah, which left two militants killed.

The 110th brigade, according to the statement, targeted IS rest houses in Imam Wees and its vicinity.

On Wednesday, PMUs said six IS militants were killed as a secret meeting for the fighters was shelled in Wadi Thilab region, Naft Khana, northeastern Diyala.

Attacks launched by Islamic State militants against security troops, the pro-government forces and civilians surged over the past few weeks in northeast of Diyala, which urge the Iraqi forces to prevent the militants infiltration between Salahuddin and Kirkuk provinces, especially the regions stretching along Hamreen mountains and Al-Azeem town.

IS holds pivotal regions that link between each of Diyala, Salahuddin and Kirkuk, posing threats to the liberated regions.

PMUs, an alliance of more than 60 mostly Shia militias, are recognized by the government as a national force under the Prime Minister’s command.

In May, news reports quoted sources as saying that the extremist group opened alternative headquarters for its so-called “Nineveh State, “Dijlah State”, “Salahuddin State” and “Diyala State” in Hawija.

4 wounded in bombing attack in Ali Saray

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Four members of one family were wounded in a bomb blast that occurred northeast of Diyala, a local official from the province said on Friday.

“A bomb exploded near Ali Saray village, leaving four civilians, including three women, from one family wounded,” Raheem Aziz, head of Qurret Tabah provincial council, told AlSumaria News.

“Security troops arrived at the accident spot and transferred the injured to the hospital for treatment,” he added.

2 Iraqi militiamen wounded in bombing attack near Sherwin basin

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Two fighters of the Sunni tribal mobilization forces were wounded in two bomb blasts in east of Diyala province, a local source said.

Speaking to AlSumaria News on Friday, the source said “two tribal fighters were wounded as two bombs exploded consecutively on an agricultural road near Sherwin basin, 45 KM east of Baqubah.”

Earlier on Friday, four members of one family were wounded in a bomb blast that occurred northeast of Diyala.

Baghdad ranked the second place with 22 deaths and 88 injuries.

According to observers, IS is believed to constitute a security threat even after the group’s defeat at its main havens across Iraqi provinces.

Two killed in hostage rescue operation after militant attack in Kenya
[SHABELLENEWS] A senior Kenyan government official was taken hostage with five other people by suspected Islamist bully boyz who attacked the vehicle they were travelling in on Thursday, a military front man said.

Maryam El Maawy, from Kenya’s ministry of public works, and three of the party were rescued by military personnel ‐ but the driver and another person were killed during the operation.

Military front man Joseph Owuoth, told Rooters the attack by suspected Somalia’s al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
bully boyz occurred in the coastal district of Lamu.

The vehicle "rolled and burst into flames during the attack", Owuoth said, adding El Maawy had been taken for medical attention at a hospital and the plan was to airlift her to the capital, Nairobi.

Owuoth said the Islamists had escaped to Boni, a forest in the area where they are believed to have a hideout.

On Monday, the Kenya military said it had launched aerial bombardments on the forest after a string of attacks by suspected bully boyz in the area.

Attack on Hindu pilgrims a bid to discredit Kashmiri uprising: FO
[DAWN] The Foreign Office on Thursday pointed the finger of suspicion at Indian authorities in the Amarnath Yatra attack and expressed the fear that it could be a ploy to discredit Kashmiri uprising against occupation.

"Indian agencies have a track record of staging false flag operations. Chattisinghpora massacre of 38 innocent Sikhs in March 2000 is a case in point ... India has for long tried to taint the indigenous Kashmiri movement for self-determination in IoK by equating it with terrorism," FO front man Nafees Zakaria said at the weekly media briefing.

Seven Hindu pilgrims were killed on July 10 in a gun attack while returning from Amarnath. There have been conflicting reports about the circumstances of the attack, which India has blamed on Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
Indian authorities further claimed that two of the suspected attackers, including the alleged criminal mastermind Abu-Ismail, were Paks.

This Week in Guns, July 15th, 2017

By Chris Covert
Rantburg.com

First is a list of five errors concealed weapon carriers make.

The second link is error six. On the upside, the Dear Departed did place second in the South OKC Quick Draw Competition. But seven others were better.

You can always steal thousands of dollars of guns and ammo, and you with your homies let the FBI know about it. Why the FBI for a gun shop invasion? The rapper claimed to be in touch with ISIS. I guess one of the warnings ISIS doesn't give to its prospective shooters is to shut up.

Lastly a retired American special operations guy-turned-politician violates his oath and helps passage of a bill that allows ex parte court hearings as a prelude to taking an individual's guns. I don't know how many times we have seen this. Retired kops and military deciding that their oaths are just words as they join our own homegrown fascists in destroying civil liberties.

#1  Ruger SP101 chambered in .357 Magnum
Some say too heavy for pocket carry.
Others, the magnum round range is wasted in a 3" barrel.
Or there are no sights and the fireball shows an incomplete powder burn.

Mine is DA only, a natural pointer with no hammer spur and Wolff springs.
Went with smaller Pachmayr grips. The OEM grip screw and hard plastic filler were brutal.

On occasion I use a custom pocket holster with belt clip to carry 5-158 gr SWC rounds.
Under 5 ft the fireball and shockwave is a CQC alternative to punching drain holes.

When walking the wilds, I sometimes carry a sequenced mix of ammo:
(1-2) shot rounds (3-4) 125 gr HP (5) 158 gr SWC for snake, coyote, hog and varmit.

HuffPost Plans Field Trip to Visit America
[Breitbart] The liberal HuffPost website has announced a 23-city bus tour to find out what it means to be American today.

The tour, named “Listen to America,” seems to admit that the site has little idea what is going on beyond the liberal coastal elites. It also suggests that HuffPost operates to some degree as a political organization: the trip mirrors the listening tours that some Democratic leaders and potential candidates have undertaken since the 2016 election.
Yes, Brethren and Sistern! It's a Magickal Mysery Tour! Don't believe your lying watches! It's 1968 gain!
The site, which attached a disclaimer attacking then-candidate Donald Trump to every story about him during the 2016 race, suffered a rude awakening on Election Day. The trip aims to address the site’s knowledge gap about the country between the coasts, as well as to repair its image as the sounding board for the wealthy liberal gentry.

Newsweek Dabbles in ‘President Hillary’ Fan Fiction
Hillary Clinton sits behind the resolute desk in the Oval Office, pulling out a large blue binder and a jar of hot peppers—her typical snack as the leader of the free world. It’s 9:30 p.m., and madam president spent the day successfully rallying House Republicans and Democrats behind a health care bill that will improve upon her predecessor’s landmark initiative, the Affordable Care Act. The bill passed an hour ago, but she isn’t anywhere near done fulfilling her duties to the American people.

“I won’t be taking any more calls,” Clinton tells senior adviser Huma Abedin, who is walking toward the door near the grandfather clock. “I want to look through these Russian sanctions one more time. Tell Bill not to wait up for me.”

Abedin, leaning on the half-open door to one of the most powerful rooms in the world, gives one last look at the president before leaving the White House. “You did a good job today, Madam President.”

Dan Rather Resurrects Disgraced Career As Trump Critic
[Daily Caller] Dan Rather
...a former ancherperson, the man who put the BS in CBS News. In 2004 he put on a news story that highlighted dissatisfaction with Lt. George W. Bush in the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam war. This was almost casually--but gleefully--debunked by the Blogosphere at large. Rather's face was rubbed in journalistic mud, four of his staff were fired, and within a short time his 43-year (about the same length as Muammar Qadaffi's) career had settled to the bottom...
, the former CBS News anchor who resigned in disgrace following a retracted hit piece on George W. Bush, has resurrected his career in the Trump era as a consistently harsh critic of the president.

Rather, once again a recurring figure on television, is often found making grave statements about Trump’s Russia ties and battles with the media. Much like the president, Rather has had success at grabbing headlines with emotional and often alarmist social media posts. Rather regularly (sometimes multiple times a day) crafts emotional, anti-Trump Facebook posts that go viral thanks in part to a tense media environment centered around the president.

In August 2016, roughly four months before the election, Rather went on what USA Today described as an "epic Facebook rant" after Trump said the "Second Amendment people" would keep Hillary Clinton
... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, sometimes described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as a crook...
from abolishing the Second Amendment. Many in the media portrayed that comment as a threat. Rather’s Facebook post -- in which he urged journalists to abandon objectivity in covering Trump -- received approving coverage in the media.

UNLV professor punished pro-Trump student with bad grades, resigns
[RedAlertPolitics] Ever since Donald Trump was elected president in November, liberal professors have been taking out their frustrations on their conservative and Trump-supporting students.

At the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, College Republican President Jacob Deaville filed a formal complaint against his professor for discriminatory intent and unfair grading practices all because of his politics. The professor, who Deaville wished to remain unnamed since he was informed of his resignation from UNLV on Friday, taught a summer course called "Summer Cuisine," which he took to fulfill an international cultures requirement for graduation.

While the class was completely apolitical, the instructor singled out Deaville, a rising senior, for his conservative politics after he sent the teacher an email with his College Republican signature embedded at the end. In an interview with Red Alert Politics, Deaville said that he didn’t think much of it when he sent the email before the first day of class with his signature.

"The first thing he did [in class] was come out and make a joke about Donald Trump, and he made it about three or four times until I acknowledged him, and then he continued," Deaville recalled, saying the joke was bizarre. "It had to do with the President’s comments in Israel, saying ’I just got back from the Middle East.’ But he was still in Israel. He made a joke at that. He stared at me until I acknowledged what he was saying."

Even though the joke itself wasn’t enough to accuse the professor for discrimination, all grades made by the professor that required his discretion became gigantic red flags. When it came to multiple choice quizzes, he got over 90 percent correct on all of them.

"I really didn’t think much of it," Deaville continued. "But at the end of the first week, I had a negative-17 in participation."

He explained that he’s never gotten and has never met anyone who had a negative number in participation before because that particular metric is graded on a scale from 0 to 25.

Deaville told Red Alert that he spoke to the professor a number of times to get clarification from the professor on why his grades were being affected. He even recalled an unflattering exchange the professor had with a colleague in front of him during class about his politics, suggesting that the colleague would "never hold" a student’s politics against them.

"I truly believe he had compromised judgement because of his reserved feelings for the president," Deaville said. "He was kind of taking it out on me."

The professor even changed the deadline on an assignment when he knew Deaville was in transit from the CRNC convention in Washington, DC, and reduced his grade as a result.

Deaville said he had enough and filed a formal complaint. The department chair announced on Friday that the professor had resigned and they would be conducting an audit on his grades. Now, he expects his grade to be an A as a result, instead of a B+.

"It doesn’t seem like that big of an issue to go from a B to an A," Deaville said, but agreed that it’s pretty messed up to go from an A to a B for political reasons.

Deaville went on to say that with the professor’s resignation, he does not expect to pursue further legal action.

This incident is just the latest at UNLV after a professor called President Trump a "syphilitic Nazi in the white man’s house." He later apologized for his remarks.

Teens Arrested For Alleged Sex Assault That Thousands Watched On Facebook Live
[FOXNEWS] Three Mississippi teens are facing kidnapping and sexual assault charges in connection to a video that was recorded on Facebook Live and was watched by thousands, authorities said.

Authorities responded to a report of an assault at a Gulfport home late Tuesday. Authorities discovered the video that recorded the alleged sexual assault.

The video begins inside a bathroom with a man demanding oral sex from the woman. Others in the background also demand that the woman performs the sex act, The Clarion-Ledger reported. A female could be heard saying that the alleged victim could not leave until she performed the act.

She said: "She ain't going home” and that the woman is going to perform the sexual acts “until her throat swells up.”

Haleigh Alexis Hudson, 19, surrendered to police on charges of felony kidnapping and sexual assault. She is being held on $400,000 bond. Ezzie Johnson and Kadari Fabien Booker, both 17, were arrested on separate felony kidnapping and sexual assault charges, the Sun Herald reported.

Johnson recorded the alleged sexual and physical assault of a 23-year-old woman at Hudson’s home and will be charged as an adult, Gulfport Police Chief Leonard Papania said in a news conference Wednesday.

Facebook user Tiffany Hailey told The Clarion-Ledger she watched the video in real-time on Facebook and shared a copy of it urging her friends to reach out to the woman who looked like she was in trouble.

"This is gut wrenchingly horrific," Hailey said. "It's really, really, bad."

The video has been removed from the social networking site, but had been shared more than 1,500 times and attained 84,000 views, according to the New York Post.

Papania said he expected the disturbing trend to continue.

“I wish people would look at just how warped our society has become,” he said. “We videotape pain and suffering, then we share it and we view it over and over. And I don’t doubt this story will be dead in two days and everybody [will] move on to something else and you still have a victim of a crime.”

According to The Clarion-Ledger, the victim in the alleged assault has special needs. Papania said the claims will be investigated and said additional charges could come if the claims are substantiated.

Investigators believe Johnson and Hudson knew the victim prior to the incident.

ATC orders seizure of Imran Khan, Tahirul Qadri's assets after no-shows in terrorism case
[DAWN] An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Friday issued orders for the seizure of properties belonging to Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight...
and Pakistain Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri
...Pak politician, and would-be dictator, founder and head of Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran and Pakistain Awami Tehrik. He usually resides in Canada, but returns to Pakistain periodically to foam at the mouth and lead demonstrations. Depending on which way the wind's blowing, Qadri claims to be the author of Pak's blasphemy law. Other times he says it wasn't him...
after the two repeatedly failed to appear in hearings of terrorism cases registered against them.

The ATC also issued notices to this effect to the relevant cop shoppes and revenue boards.

On February 3, an ATC had issued perpetual warrants of arrest against Khan and Qadri in a case related to an attack on a police brass hat during the 2014 dharna which paralysed Islamabad.

ATC judge Sohail Ikram had issued the perpetual arrest warrants after police submitted a report stating that the suspects could not be tossed in the slammer
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
despite a proclamation being issued.

On Sept 1, 2014 during the sit-ins, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Asmatullah Junejo was beaten up by protesters on Constitution Avenue on his first day on the job as SSP Operations of ICT Police.

Secretariat police had started the paperwork but haven't done much else against several PTI and PAT workers for their alleged involvement in vandalism and attacking SSP Janjejo.

The ATC had issued warrants for Khan and Qadri with directions to the police to produce them before the court. Police had later told the ATC that the execution of the arrest warrants against the two politicians could not take place as they were not found at their residence.

Police also submitted a report before the ATC, saying that a police party had gone to the residence of Imran Khan in Bani Gala where a security guard informed them that Khan was not at home and that he did not know where he was.

Heavyweight battle breaks out between Jihadist foes in Idlib
[ALMASDARNEWS] A fierce battle broke-out between the two largest jihadist forces in Syria, Thursday, as two former allies clashed in the Idlib Governorate time of Killi.

The heavy festivities began when a large Harakat Ahrar al-Sham
...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014...
convoy began moving towards a Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham base in Killi; this resulted in the latter opening fire on the former on Thursday.

According to opposition activists, festivities have died down since Thursday evening; however, civilians were maimed during the jihadist infighting.

Tensions have been high in the Idlib Governorate between these former allies, as Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s aggression has forced Harakat Ahrar al-Sham to fortify many areas in anticipation of a large attack by the al-Qaeda affiliate.

Imran following Fethullah Gulen's model to destabilise govt, claims Ahsan Iqbal
Noooooo!!! Not FETÖ!!
[DAWN] Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has alleged that Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
Chairman Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five...
was following The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
's Fethullah Gulen
... a Turkish preacher living in Pennsylvania whom the current govt of Turkey considers responsible for all the ills afflicting Turkey and possibly the entire world...
's model to destabilise the government.

Talking to DawnNews on Friday, the minister compared Imran Khan to Fethullah Gulen who, according to him, harboured a network in the political apparatus of Turkey through which he was trying to control the political system while he himself was in exile.

On the same pattern, Imran Khan was trying to destabilise the government with the help of like-minded officials and supporters, whether they are in the government institutions or politics, Iqbal claimed.

"He [Khan] is also manipulating our democratic process for his interests. He held Dharna 1, in which he used his sympathisers in various departments. Then he held Dharna 2, which was also a failed attempt
Curses! Foiled again!
and to some extent, he also played a role in this case.

"The judiciary told us that our speeches were aggressive. What about the speeches of Imran Khan when he was threatening that he will mobilise the masses against the JIT if it failed to pass a judgement against PM Sharif," Iqbal said.

Blasphemy accusation against PM’s adviser
[DAWN] A pastor has approached the capital’s police, seeking the registration of a case against a member of the federal cabinet on the charge of blasphemy, police and the complainants told Dawn on Thursday.

The complainant has warned that the Christian community could "go to any extent" and had the right to launch countrywide protests if a case was not registered and the accused remain unpunished.

Pastor Yousaf Bhatti, Joint Christian Action Committee President Akram Waqar Gill and Chairman Samuel Yaqoob and All Pakistain Moslem League Islamabad President Javed Akhter Bhatti have nominated an adviser to the prime minister in their complaint.

The complaint states that a couple of days ago, some people (three ministers and the adviser in question) held a presser at the Press Information Department, where one of them compared Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf...
to the Prophet Jesus Christ, adding that this had hurt the sentiments of the Christian community around the country.

The complainants have sought a case under Section 295-C of the Pakistain Penal Code, which deals with "Use of derogatory remarks, etc., in respect of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)". The complainants have asked that the accused be nabbed
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
as per legal procedure and punished according to the law.

When asked why they had sought a case under 295-C, which is specific to Islam, Mr Gill said the police had also pointed this out, but the complainants believed that since all prophets were equal, the adviser should be proceeded against under this section.

Pastor Yousaf Bhatti told Dawn that the cabinet member in question committed blasphemy by comparing the prime minister with Jesus Christ.

"One of them stated that whatever Nawaz Sharif was suffered was similar to what happened to Jesus Christ," he said.

"We will also approach the Supreme Court if police fail to take action against the accused," the pastor said.

Aabpara police confirmed that a complaint had been lodged and the legal process had been initiated. An officer told Dawn on condition of anonymity that the complaint was sent to senior officers of the area and the legal branch for an opinion.

Doubt Surfaces About ‘Suicide' Claim of Clinton Investigator
[Daily Caller] A Wall Street analyst who spoke to Peter Smith the day before he reportedly committed suicide told the Daily Caller News Foundation there were no indications the Chicago businessman and anti-Clinton political investigator was about to take his life.

"He may have been a fantastic actor but I certainly didn’t leave that phone call saying, ’oh shit, the guy’s at the end of his rope,’" Charles Ortel, a Wall Street investment banker and market analyst, told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s (TheDCNF) Investigative Group.

"This does not seem like a settled story. It made perfect sense to me he might have died of natural causes, but little chance he would have killed himself," Ortel said.

Ortel and Smith shared a common interest in the Clintons. Ortel has dug deeply into the financial operations of the Clinton Foundation. He first came to public attention in 2007 by exposing questionable accounting practices at General Electric.

"We had countless discussions," Ortel recalled of his relationship with Smith. "He was using his unique decades of experience in politics to offer me advice how to expose the Clinton Foundation."

The Chicago Tribune reported Thursday that the Minnesota death record states Smith committed suicide in a hotel room May 14.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Round up: Two officers killed in Jerusalem's holiest site
[FOXNEWS] Two officers were killed in an attack by three Paleostinian assailants near a major Jerusalem holy site Friday, Israel’s police chief said.

Police Chief Roni Alscheich said the coppers died of wounds sustained in the attack. He said three Arab citizens of Israel opened fire on police near a gate of Jerusalem’s Old City.

The assailants were later killed in a shootout at a mosque near Luba Samri, police said.

Mickey Rosenfeld, another police front man, told Rooters that authorities are working to identify the attackers. Police said the attackers were armed with 2 Carl Gustav machine guns and a pistol.

Benjamin Netanyahu says the Moslem-administered sacred compound will be shut Friday for security reasons to make sure there are no weapons there. He says the status quo governing the site "will be preserved."

The holy compound is known to Jews as Temple Mount and to Moslems as Noble Sanctuary. It is the holiest site to Jews and the third holiest in Islam. Since September 2015, Paleostinian attackers have killed 43 Israelis, two visiting Americans and a British tourist.

In that time, Israeli forces have killed more than 254 Paleostinians, most of them said by Israel to be attackers.

Waqf official may have aided Israeli-Arab terrorists in Temple Mount attack — report

[IsraelTimes] Police checking if perpetrators had help from Jordanian group that administers site, Channel 10 says; officers raid Umm al-Fahm homes of shooters, break up mourners’ tent

Israel Police made a number of arrests in the wake of the deadly terror attack at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Friday morning, which claimed the lives of two Israeli coppers, and officers were on the hunt for additional suspects who may have helped the three Israeli-Arab perpetrators, police said.

Raids were also conducted on the homes of the terrorists, all from the northern Israeli city of Umm al-Fahm, and a mourners’ tent for the Death Eaters was broken up.

Channel 10 reported Friday that among those detained were at least one official from the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, the Jordan-based organization that administers the Temple Mount, on suspicion that the shooters received help from inside. The channel said the official was seen on security footage behaving suspiciously.

Police also said they placed in durance vile
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
one person, a 22-year-old from the northern city on suspicion he was directly involved in the attack.

Police have not indicated what kind of assistance they believe the Waqf official provided, though Channel 10 said he may have helped the shooters stash the weapons used in the attack. A gag order was imposed on further aspects of the investigation relating to the Waqf.

Channel 10 noted the situation was complicated by the fact that the custodian group answers to Jordan, not Israel.

Channel 2 news said more vaguely that it was possible that the Death Eaters had received help from inside the compound, and that this was one of the reasons why police had ordered the closure of the area, for the first time in decades, will they carried out security checks.

The terrorists, Muhammad Ahmed Muhammad Jabarin, 29, Muhammad Hamad Abdel Latif Jabarin, 19 and Muhammad Ahmed Mafdal Jabarin, 19, used two Carlo-style submachine guns and a pistol to carry out the attack. One of them also tried to stab an officer after being apprehended.

It was not immediately known how the Death Eaters brought the weapons into the holy site. Moslem visitors to the Temple Mount complex go through a less rigorous security check than non-Moslem visitors who enter through the Mughrabi Bridge.

Jerusalem Police chief Yoram Halevi said Friday that officers were sweeping the Temple Mount, with the help of the Waqf, to look for further weapons.

After attack, Netanyahu said to order reopening of Temple Mt. from Sunday

[IsraelTimes] PM reportedly demanding improved security at holy site following Friday’s shootings, in which 3 Arab-Israelis killed two coppers.

Israel rejected a demand by Jordan Friday evening to immediately reopen the mount after it was shut for security reasons in the wake of the attack.

Kamil Shnaan are both laid to rest in their home towns after being murdered in Friday's terror attack at the Temple Mount; Netanyahu: 'This is a sad day in which our brothers from the Druze community pay the heaviest price in our joint mission to defend the security of our country. I salute them and their heroism, and their memory will always be preserved in our hearts.'

Thousands of mourners attended the funerals of Staff Sgt. Maj. Ha'il Satawi, 30, and Staff Sgt. Maj. Kamil Shnaan, 22, of Maghar and Hurfeish, respectively, who were both murdered in a terrorist attack Friday morning at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Satawi is survived by his three-week-old son, his wife, parents and three brothers.

Numerous government officials attended both funerals, including Police Commissioner Roni Alsheikh, Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan, Labor Party Chairman Avi Gabbay, Opposition Chairman Yitzhak Herzog, Minister of Education Naftali Bennett and MK Amir Peretz.

Police Commissioner Roni Alsheikh spoke at Satawi's funeral, saying, "Today you shouldn't have been at the Temple Mount, but you switched with a friend who needed help. That is who you were, ready to volunteer for any mission."

Alsheikh continued, saying, "As usual, you were the first to run to the source of the shooting, and unfortunately for us, you found your death with your head held high, you and Kamil. Ha'il, your friends cannot digest the fact that you are not among the living anymore.

"More and more security missions are falling to the police; police who serve on the frontline on a daily basis. You served in the most sensitive place in the world, in order to preserve freedom of worship. There, vile people decided to thwart this right. We will not allow it."

Through tears, Kamil's father, former MK Shachiv Shnaan, said, "I am proud of my son, who is here wrapped in the flag of the country. I saw the reports about the attack and the headlines, and I did not imagine that I was the father of one of the fallen.

"He did not answer his phone and I realized that something had happened. In the name of the people of Israel, I wish these will be the last of the fallen. My heart is also with the Satawi family and I wish a speedy recovery to our brothers, the Kablan family. Enough of the crying and tears. It is my prayer that the rifle is replaced with the flower."

The provincial government media office in a statement said the civilians, including five children and two women were kept as captives by the terror group in Haska Mina district.

The statement further added that the civilians managed to escape from the captivity of the terror group as they were kept by the gunnies of the terror group as captives.

It is believed the women and kiddies belonged to a ISIS group member who was killed during the operations, the provincial government said, adding that the ISIS group member had taken his family with him after joining the ISIS ranks.

The provincial government also added that the civilians are currently being kept in the custody of the security forces and investigation is underway in this regard.

The anti-government armed Death Eater groups have not commented regarding the report so far.

This comes as the Afghan forces are busy conducting counter-terrorism and clearance operations in some restive districts of Nangarhar as the ISIS loyalists have been attempting to expand their foothold and activities in certain districts of the during the recent years.

The US forces based in Afghanistan have also stepped up Arclight airstrikes against the anti-government armed gunnies in Afghanistan.

The Arclight airstrikes were increased particularly after the former US administration granted broader role to the US forces to resume counter-terrorism operations, a step that was taken after growing instability in the country, mainly due to the insurgency led by the Taliban

Investigators find drugs hidden in cars shipped from Mexico to Lordstown
[WKBN] Police are investigating shipments of drugs hidden in the wheel compartments of new cars, which were shipped to Lordstown.

In all, over 400 pounds of marijuana were seized with a street value of more than $1 million, according to the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.

An investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Youngstown Drug Enforcement Agency, is now ongoing to determine who put the drugs in the cars.

The drugs were initially found in a wheel compartment of a Ford Fusion at a Ford dealership in Portage County. They were discovered during a delivery inspection after the car was taken off a transport carrier.

The vehicle was shipped to Lordstown Rail Solutions, where Sherlocks found that 15 Ford Fusions with marijuana inside had been distributed to dealerships -- including some in Columbiana and Mahoning counties. The marijuana was hidden inside packages compressed to resembled a tire.

Sources told WKBN that each car had about 30 pounds of marijuana in it.

According to the Portage County Sheriff’s Office, the cars were manufactured in Mexico and crossed the Mexican border into Arizona on their way to Trumbull County, where they were dropped off at the rail yard.

Youngstown DEA Agent Bob Balzano said this is not uncommon. Earlier this year, drugs were found hidden in cars in Minnesota.

He believes that someone screwed up and was supposed to pick up the drugs before they made their way to area dealerships. Investigators don’t believe the dealerships were involved, and Balzano said those working at the plant in Mexico may not have even been involved.

Social Security Trust Funds to Be Depleted in 17 Years
[FREEBEACON] The Old-Age and Survivors Insurance and Disability Insurance Trust Funds will be depleted in the next 17 years, according to the Social Security Administration's trustees report.
We were warned about this in the 1980s, the 1990s, the 2000s, and the 2010s. Hopefully President Trump will be able to push Congress to actually do something more than raise the age for receiving full payments, which has only slightly delayed the inevitable.
By 2034 the combined asset reserves of both funds are expected to be insolvent. Alone, the Disability Insurance Trust Fund will be insolvent by 2028.

According to the report, the trust funds have a total asset reserves of $2.85 trillion. Even though the trust fund reserves are growing, the cost of the program will outweigh the revenue by 2022.

"It is time for the public to engage in the important national conversation about how to keep Social Security strong," said Nancy A. Berryhill, acting commissioner of Social Security. "People understand the value of their earned Social Security benefits and the importance of keeping the program secure for the future."

In 2016, the program took in $957 billion in income but still had expenditures as high as $922 billion.

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget suggests policymakers phase in gradual changes that would allow for more time to plan but also promote long-term economic growth.

"The Social Security Trustees continue to underscore the need to address Social Security’s financing shortfall soon," the committee said. "Failure to act would result in all beneficiaries receiving a 23 percent across-the-board benefit cut when the combined trust fund exhausts in just 17 years, when today's 50-year-olds reach the normal retirement age. The SSDI program faces an even more immediate deadline and will deplete its trust fund in 2028."

"Policymakers can still address Social Security's financial problem without making drastic tax or benefit changes, but the window for responsible action is closing," the committee said. "If policymakers are willing to act soon, they can create a plan that strengthens the program’s finances while phasing in changes gradually to give workers time to plan, improving retirement security for vulnerable beneficiaries and promoting long-term economic growth."

I think they will just mandate that the government 'manage it' for you to keep you safe. They already have a precedent in Healthcare. So that everyone gets a fair piece of your hard earned pie.

#8  There is no Trust Fund. Simply collect the same FICA deduction as at present, but on all earned income, without any upper limit. ~15% off the bonuses paid to financial oligarchs will do wonders to keep Social Security.

#9  When Social Security was enacted in the 1930s, the average life expectancy was around 61. Today the life expectancy is around 78. So in the 30s, people might collect Social Security for a few years before dying. Today, people routinely collect it for 20 years or more.

I have never looked at FICA as a savings account. It is just another tax. I helped pay my dad's social security payments until he died. My sons will help pay mine. I don't know who will pay theirs.

#12  My sons will help pay mine.

Except the ratio of working sons to retirees was a good deal higher then than it is now. It's gone from 10:1 to 4:1 to 2:1, and from most dying before they retire to most collecting for an average of two decades, plus supporting non-working widows and orphans. The burden collected from worker paychecks has about doubled from what was taken when I had my first job, I think, and no doubt it will need to increase again to keep current promises, taking with it the ability of the younger generation to pay off college loans and save to get married, buy a house, and all the other costs of adulthood.

#13  But you see, - the kids who will be unable to pay their collage loans, marry, and get a house won't see that as the cause. They will be told that it's because 'the man' is keeping them down or racism or sexism or *phobia or corporate greed and if we would only adopt socialism all will be well...
Posted by: CrazyFool || 07/15/2017 13:06 Comments || Top||

#14  I could have added - to emphasize tw's point - my grandparents had 9 children, my father had five, and I had five. My sons altogether have only given me five grandchildren.

Although the US is nowhere near as bad off as Europe, we are not reproducing at or above the replacement rate. The only reason the US population is increasing is because of immigration (legal and illegal).
