Trump should put RFK Jr in charge of the CIA. Once he reads the files on the Kennedy assassination (or finds they were shredded after the election) he'll clean house with extreme prejudice.

You cannot hate the media enough. Never forget the media hates you.
PBS host Judy Woodruff "apologized" for falsely reporting Donald Trump pressured Benjamin Netanyahu to delay a hostage deal until after the 2024 presidential election.
Gee, that sounds like something the Democrats accused Trump of doing with the Ukrainian president.
I want to clarify my remarks on the PBS News special on Monday night about the ongoing cease fire talks in the Middle East. As I said, this was not based on my original reporting; I was referring to reports I had read, in Axios and Reuters, about former President Trump having...
Woodruff, like any other media member, didn’t take responsibility.
Woodruff blamed other reports she read...except those reports don’t exist.
In her statement, Judy Woodruff says she was relying on Axios and Reuters reporting, that she just wasn’t aware of the denials from Trump and Netanyahu.
But I can’t find any Axios or Reuters reporting that reflects what she says in the video below. https://t.co/PizRNhsCPN
[Yahoo Finance] Services have ground to a halt after a midnight (EST) deadline passed without agreement between rail companies Canadian National Railway Co. and Canadian Pacific Kansas City and union officials over working conditions. Engineering and conducting staff have been locked out.
According to the Railway Association of Canada, some C$380bn (US$279.7m) of goods are moved on the country’s railways each year, ranging from cars to agri commodities and frozen foods.
He said supply chains had already seen disruption as the deadline neared. "I do believe that it will be relatively short term but when you think we've pretty much been on strike for a week. They’ve stopped shipping stuff. By the time you get things up and running, it’s another week. It’s going to take six weeks to get the supply chain back into normalcy. Anybody think about the impact on the US economy? One Canadian route runs from Fargo thru Chicago to Mexico City and the other from Minneapolis to New Orleans. Asked when the impact of the stoppage may start to be seen on store shelves or on menus, Graydon suggested "probably two weeks". He added: "The other challenge is this is getting a lot of media in Canada right now and so what you end up with — very similar to what happened during Covid — is you get consumer hoarding and so the inventory strain is quite significant. Mayor Pete will get right on it, now that he's finished speechifying at the DNC last night about the evils of JD Vance's approach to family matters.

The media has not remembered the effects on US railroads. Any freight car going to or coming from a destination n a Canadian RR is dead in the water. Embargoed.
Many of the rail crossings will be unaffected, but some crossings of US/Canadian railroads are controlled by the Canadian road. If a highway crossing gate sticks down on a Canadian RR in the US, you may wait quite a while to get it 'unstuck'. The Illinois Central - Main Line of Mid-America, is now owned by Canadian National.

A lot of ship-based imports that used to come in via CA ports shifted to BC due to cost and delays to dock. So US-bound goods is now stuck before it even could hit the rails; expect Vancouver and Port Rupert to be jammed soon if not already.
Crucial supply chains are under threat across North America after a rail labour dispute in Canada led to shutdown of freight traffic on the country's two largest railways.
Canadian National Railway (CN) and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC), locked out nearly 9,300 workers after midnight on Thursday (04:00 GMT), after failing to clinch a late deal with the Teamsters union.
Canada sends around 75% of all the goods it exports to the US, mostly over rail. A prolonged dispute could disrupt shipments of a wide range of goods, from grains and beans to potash, coal and timber.
The lockout will also snarl commutes for tens of thousands of people in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, where lines rely on CPKC-owned tracks.
Canada, the world's second-largest country by area, relies heavily on rail transport.
After months of talks, the increasingly bitter negotiations ground to a halt late on Wednesday evening, CBC reported, with both sides accusing the other of refusing to negotiate seriously.
In separate statements, CN and CPKC said they took the steps after months after "good faith" negotiations, which stalled over working conditions like shift scheduling and fatigue provisions.
"Without an agreement or binding arbitration, CN had no choice but to finalize a safe and orderly shutdown and proceed with a lockout," CN said in a statement.
"CPKC is acting to protect Canada’s supply chains, and all stakeholders, from further uncertainty and the more widespread disruption," CPKC said, adding that binding arbitration was the only "responsible" way to move forward.
Paul Boucher, president of Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, said the railways had "shown themselves willing to compromise rail safety and tear families apart to earn an extra buck".
"The railroads don’t care about farmers, small businesses, supply chains, or their own employees. Their sole focus is boosting their bottom line," he said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ...hereditary prime minister of the Great White North... made a last-minute appeal to both sides to keep up their attempts to reach a deal.
"Millions of Canadians, of workers, of farmers, of businesses right across the country are counting on both sides to do the work and get to a resolution," he said in brief remarks, without taking questions.
[BBC] United States border agents have intercepted a truck carrying more than $5m-worth of methamphetamine at the US-Mexico border hidden inside a shipment of watermelons.
The drugs were wrapped in plastic painted in two shades of green to resemble the fruit and placed among real watermelons.
More than two tonnes of methamphetamine - in a total of 1,220 packages - was seized by officers.
Stashing drugs among produce is a common way to smuggle the illicit substances across borders - banana shipments are the most popular but officers have recently found narcotics in Gouda cheese and avocados.
US Customs and Border Protection officials said their officers had stopped a truck hauling a trailer at the border with Mexico in Otay Mesa.
The paperwork suggested the driver was transporting a shipment for watermelons, but a inspection revealed the parcels containing methamphetamine.
Also known simply as meth, it is a powerful and highly addictive stimulant.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Neighbors rushed to help a Seattle dog walker after she was dragged to her death by a convict during a carjacking.
Ruth Dalton, 80, was viciously attacked by Jahmed Haynes, 48, near Martin Luther King Jr. Way East and Harrison Street in the Madison Valley neighborhood just before 10am on Tuesday.
At the time of the violent attack, Dalton - who started her dog walking business 'Grandma's Critter Care' 35 years ago - had several dogs inside her vehicle that she had just walked at a park.
It was there that Haynes, who has eight prior felonies and a history of mental health issues, pushed the elderly woman into the passenger seat, out of the car, and ran her over before driving away in her vehicle.
On Wednesday, SWAT arrested Haynes at his home and found a bloody knife and keys to Dalton's car, the police said. Just five miles away, cops found the lifeless body of her dog Prince and her vehicle.
Not content with murdering Dalton, Haynes had then tortured her beloved dog to death, police say.
Her granddaughter explained that Dalton had started her dog walking business in 1989 to raise money to help Roberts attend a private Christian school.
'She named it Grandma's Critter Care because she would say "Well I'm Melanie's Grandma... and I take care of all the critters",' she wrote.
'And she did in the beginning... it wasn't just dogs and cats! There were birds, reptiles, and even some ferrets!'
Haynes was previously convicted of hit-and-run vehicular homicide in Seattle in 1993, Fox 13 reported.
He remains in jail and is expected to make his first court appearance soon.
Roberts wrote: '8 prior Felony convictions..... he never should have been out on the streets.'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A new analysis shows the 'worst case scenario' for Antarctica's melting glaciers is much less severe than the United Nation's current estimates.
The UN's prediction that the melting of Antarctica's so-called 'Doomsday' glaciers could alone raise global sea levels two feet before the year 2100 has shaped global climate policy since at least 2016, when the estimate was first introduced.
The model — which the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) does admit is 'low likelihood' — projects this melt could raise sea levels up 50-ft by 2300.
But three new, more sophisticated climate models, produced with the backing of the National Science Foundation, now call this UN glacier model 'extreme' and 'unlikely.'
More realistic new scenarios, revealed by these new 'ice melt' simulations, predict the glaciers are not likely to break apart in the feared, cascading chain-reaction.
'We're not reporting that the Antarctic is safe and that sea-level rise isn't going to continue,' study co-author and earth sciences professor Mathieu Morlighem, who researches the physics of glacier ice at Dartmouth University, said.
'All of our projections show a rapid retreat of the ice sheet,' he emphasized.
What Morlighem and his co-authors did do was focus their modeling on the polar continent's 'Doomsday Glacier,' the Thwaites Glacier: a 75-mile-wide, heavily monitored plateau of ice whose collapse could swell oceans catastrophically.
What they hoped to test is whether or not the disappearance of massive portions of this glacier's floating outermost edge, its ice shelf, could trigger a the sliding of Antarctica's land-locked ice into the ocean — where it would raise sea levels rapidly.
'High-end projections,' like IPCC's worst case scenario, Morlighem said, 'are important for coastal planning and we want them to be accurate in terms of physics.'
A dramatically high and unlikely scenario, in other words, could lead a city council in Miami to waste taxpayer money on sea walls that are much higher than needed.
'These projections are actually changing people's lives,' Morlighem noted.
His team developed three ice melt models capable of simulating the Thwaites Glacier's retreat at a higher resolution than the IPCC's latest low resolution model.
The new study, published Wednesday in the journal Science Advances, employed a computer model created by Dartmouth in collaboration with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the University of California at Irvine.
The model, known as Ice-sheet and Sea-level System Model (ISSM), was capable of handling 75,000 individual elements within its simulation at a resolution of about one mile (1.5 kilometers).
Their two other simulations, were similarly complex.
One, named Úa started with initial conditions consisting of 90,000 elements, and a resolution of 0.62 miles (1 km) near the key points in need of modelling, including where the large pieces of the glacier shelf could 'calve' or break off into the sea.
The last model, called STREAMICE, also had a resolution of 0.62 miles (1 km).
All of these models predicted an instantaneous increase in flow speed of up to 3 km/year right after the initial ice shelf collapse, or a doubling of today’s ice flow speed.
The new study also simulated the rate at which the Doomsday Glacier thinned and the speed at which is would 'calve' portions of the glacier and slide those new icebergs into the sea.
But, ultimately, it found that a lost ice shelf would not lead the remaining glacier to retreat inland, nor trigger a runaway breakdown.
'Ice front retreat requires that the calving rate due to cliff failure exceeds this ice speed,' the team wrote, 'which is rarely the case in our simulations.'
But while these findings undermined the projections of the UN IPCC's models, it did not paint a completely rosy picture of planet Earth's southern-most continent.
Glaciologist Dr Dan Goldberg at the University of Edinburgh, a co-author on the new paper who was once a visiting professor at Dartmouth, noted that the Doomsday Glacier is likely to keep retreating inland in unpredictable ways past this century.

[Gateway Pundit] A massive new statue has been unveiled in the United States, with the gargantuan construct not honoring a famous American or historical figure but rather a polytheistic group’s god with the head of a monkey.
The "Statue of Union" was inaugurated Aug. 18 at the Sri Ashtalakshmi Hindu Temple in Sugar Land, Texas.
It depicts the Hindu god Lord Hanuman, one of the religion’s countless deities. Hanuman, a god of strength, devotion and selfless service, is most often depicted with the head and tail of a monkey.
The monument stands exactly 89.7 feet tall, making it the third-tallest statue in the United States, according to the "Statue of Union" website.
World Atlas data backs up this claim, showing only New York City’s Statue of Liberty and the Hallendale Beach, Florida "Pegasus and Dragon" to be taller works.
Plans to build the statue were initially revealed to the public in August 2023.
The statue is a "vision" of Swami Chinna Jeeyar, a Hindu religious leader and ascetic. The Sugar Land statue is one of many swamis from his sect have seen built.

[Bee] CHICAGO — A 34-year-old male identified as Damien Trevor, an out-of-state attendee at the Democratic National Convention, had his hopes dashed Wednesday when he thought he was waiting in line for a delicious burrito from a food truck but accidentally got a vasectomy instead.
"I thought it was weird when they asked me to get on the truck and take off my pants, but I thought, 'eh, this must be a great burrito,'" he recounted.
According to sources, it was not worth it.
"I just wanted a burrito!! No!!!" Damien Trevor reportedly cried after being snipped. "Why does this keep happening to me? This is worse than that time I accidentally got an abortion! Who puts a mobile vasectomy center next to a food truck anyway?"
Witnesses were reportedly empathetic to the plight of Damien Trevor but questioned his intelligence since there was no food signage on the truck. "There was even a sign that said, 'Free Vasectomies Here!' in large letters," said local bystander Joseph Wails as he was getting snipped for free.
"I just thought a vasectomy was some sort of hot sauce," Trevor admitted. "I mean, sure, I thought it was weird when they had me sign a waiver, but I just thought it was gonna be really really hot."
At publishing time, Damien Trevor was at least thankful he wouldn't be contributing to global warming by having any children.

[RedState] Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has formally accepted the Democratic Party's nomination to be Kamala Harris's vice president, giving the keynote speech on the third night of the party's national convention.
Standing on the stage in Chicago, he spoke to party leaders and voters while his family cried and his son Gus shouting "That's my dad!" as the nominee came on stage.
Walz's speech was a familiar one, hitting many of the same notes he has been hitting since he was selected by Harris to be her running mate in this truncated campaign season. He spoke about their party's policies being "neighborly" - caring for each other, helping folks out, etc. - and criticized his opponents.
But the speech was also notable in that it kept up with the party's talking point of the night.
Walz and several of the other speakers of the night emphasized the idea of hope, joy, happiness, and other positive feelings - what younger voters (and media figures trying to stay cool) call "the vibes" - in their campaign and their party.
Walz even recalled his time spent as an assistant coach, calling the race the "fourth quarter," noting the Democrats had been down but now have the ball
Walz has relied on his military record, time as an assistant coach, and his years as a teacher to help build his persona, and he drew from all of it in the speech Wednesday night.
But he will still be facing several challenges in the coming days. He will face Donald Trump's running mate, JD Vance, in a debate, and Vance has focused on Walz's political record and his record of lying about his service, both of which will fall under more scrutiny when the two meet.
Walz's speech capped off the penultimate night of the DNC, with Thursday being the biggest night yet. Walz's running mate, Harris, will accept her party's nomination tomorrow.

That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is call'd the feast of Crispian.
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say "To-morrow is Saint Crispian."
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
And say "These wounds I had on Crispin's day."
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember, with advantages,
What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words—
Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester—
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be rememberèd—
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
[NY Post] Fire her. Now. All the liars.
Social media users trashed President Biden’s Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo for admitting to ABC News on Wednesday that she wasn’t "familiar" with the day’s major revision to the jobs numbers.
ABC News correspondent Kayna Whitworth asked Raimondo what she thought of the jobs numbers revision by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
"I am curious as to your thoughts on today the Bureau of Labor saying that more than 800,000 fewer jobs were actually created than initially reported," Whitworth said.
The reporter played a clip of former President Trump talking about the report at his rally in North Carolina on Wednesday. "The administration padded the numbers with an extra — listen to this one — 818,000 jobs that don’t exist. So they said they existed and they never did exist. They built ’em up so they could say what a wonderful job they’re doing," Trump said.
Raimondo appeared to dismiss the news as Trump spreading misinformation and when asked if the revision could be a liability for Democratic presidential nominee and Vice President Harris, she said no.
"No. When I hear that, first of all, I don’t believe it because I’ve never heard Donald Trump say anything truthful," Raimondo said.
"It is from the Bureau of Labor," Whitworth responded.
"I’m not familiar with that," Raimondo said, despite the report having been released several hours earlier.
Raimondo moved on to tout optimism around Harris’ "pro-business" economic vision for the country. Meanwhile, the presidential candidate has been dinged in recent days for proposing what critics, including from the left, described as government price controls on businesses.
Social media users couldn’t believe that one of the government’s top economic officials wasn’t familiar with the news of the jobs report.
National Review senior writer Charles Cooke commented, "This is the Secretary of Commerce."
Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich wrote, "There’s only so much you can fake or hide before things come crashing down. Biden’s decline, cooking the books on the economy, redefining ’recession,’ etc."
"Holy hell. We are governed by idiots," conservative commentator Ned Ryun declared.
Libs of TikTok creator Chaya Raichik wrote, "This is the Secretary of Commerce btw."
Comedian Tim Young stated, "They think you’re stupid."

Gowd Damn.
Say what you will about Buttgig, at least he knows what the crust of his pie is.
[JPost] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made clear that Israel intends to maintain a presence on the strategic Philadelphi Corridor between Gaza and Egypt.
He is right to stand firm on this issue.
Netanyahu’s detractors, always attributing to him the very worst motivations — in this case, that he does not care whether the hostages live or die — claim he is using this issue to torpedo an agreement that he doesn’t want with Hamas because it could collapse his government. Me, I don't give a f*ck about motivations - all I care about is results.
Evacuating the corridor or relying on the Egyptians or technological solutions to prevent its use as a superhighway for smuggling weapons into Gaza would be a colossal mistake, a mistake the country has already committed once. Netanyahu is correct to define this as a red line.
Much has been written about the need for Israel to learn the lessons of October 7; these lessons are myriad, and we believe a State Commission of Inquiry needs to be established to investigate what led to such a catastrophic failure so those lessons can be learned.
However, the lessons of October 7 are not the only ones Israel needs to learn. It also needs to learn the lessons of September 1, 2005, and the decision at the time — concretized in an agreement with Egypt — to evacuate the Philadelphi Corridor and authorize Egypt to deploy border guards to patrol the corridor on the Egyptian side.
Some members of the security establishment argued that, despite Israel’s full withdrawal from Gaza in August 2005, it should hold on to the corridor to prevent the smuggling of arms and terrorists into Gaza, but then-prime minister Ariel Sharon overruled them.
Sharon argued that maintaining a military presence there was becoming more of a security liability than an asset, as soldiers patrolling the corridor were easy targets for Palestinian terrorists. He also said that keeping soldiers there would be a constant source of friction that could destabilize the region.
Sharon further claimed that only by removing the Israeli presence from the corridor could Israel say — and have the international community recognize — that it had fully withdrawn from Gaza.
That decision has proven disastrous.
The Philadelphi Corridor, as well as the border crossing at Rafah, is the route through which Hamas turned Gaza into an armed stronghold with an arsenal of weapons that would make a small NATO country blush.
Reliance on Egypt to prevent smuggling, either through tunnels or at the Rafah Crossing by bribing poorly paid and unmotivated Egyptian soldiers, was a tragic mistake.
Not only that, but it did not prevent the international community from saying that Israel continues to "occupy" Gaza and that it was the "world’s largest open-air prison."
Those who argued adamantly against this move were cavalierly dismissed as doomsayers and told that if Israel saw that the corridor was being used to smuggle in arms and material, the IDF could easily retake it.
That turned out to be hubris. Israel saw that the corridor had become a highway for arming Gaza, but it did not take action to retake it. Why not? Because doing so is not simple, neither militarily nor in terms of international legitimacy. Now that Israel has retaken the area, it will vacate it again at its own peril.
Not only that, but it did not prevent the international community from saying that Israel continues to "occupy" Gaza and that it was the "world’s largest open-air prison." It's time to realize that Globalist philosophy, currently dominating "the West", is filth.
If the IDF evacuates the area, whatever remains of Hamas after the war will use it — again — to rebuild its capabilities. The Philadelphi Corridor is Hamas’s lifeline. If Israel wants to prevent Hamas from reestablishing itself after the war, it needs to cut off this lifeline, and the only way to do that is for the IDF to be present.
This brings us to another important lesson, although this one is from October 7: Technological solutions to real security problems are not always the answer. One idea floated in recent days to get Israel to withdraw from the Philadelphi Corridor was to rely heavily on state-of-the-art sensors to monitor the area.
Israel relied on state-of-the-art sensors and other technological wizardry on October 7 to defend its borders and prevent terrorist infiltration, but how did that work out?
Israel needs its own boots on the ground to protect itself, and what is true along the border with Gaza and Lebanon is true along the border between Gaza and Egypt. Without an IDF presence along the Philadelphi Corridor, Gaza could once again turn into a killing fortress. IMO, for more than a century Israel (and Israel on the way) fought Arabs with one brain lobe tied behind its back "We must have Peace. Therefore, we'll fight to defend ourselves but try not to endanger the future Peace". Long past time to switch to "it's us or them".

Yes, Timber Rattlers. They're generally non- aggressive and will try to get away from approaching humans. Copperheads will coil and stand their ground. Wearing high-top boots and carrying a stick while walking in the woods is always a good idea.
#4
Of course you don't get any discussion of whether ringneck are venomous or not mind you they are bo threat to humans, Also there gave been envenomations recorded from garter snakes that chewed on some body for over 15 minutes. Also I wonder if some of the western garter snakes might be poisonous since they feed on newts that have a pretty nasty toxin in their skin,. Some snakes do repurposes these tovims hence toys get a real poisonous snake.
#5
My rule of thumb (hasn't let me down yet), treat ALL SNAKES as potentionally deadly. That doesn't mean you must attempt to kill every snake you see.
People also die from bee stings and insect bites. Levels of toxic immunity varies.
Same rule applies to firearms. If you have not personnally cleared it, assume it is loaded. If it leaves your possession (even for 10 seconds), clear the damn thing again.
#6
As a Teen, I used to get $2.50 ea for an adult size cotton mouth, or Timber rattler.
(that's when $1 got you an RC, a Honey Bun and a handful of Squirrel nuts/Zippers or MOO Cows candys)
I'd watch him milked them and kept saying to myself NO way in Hell would I man handle a 5 +ft poisonous snake.
But he told me he made good $$$$ selling venom to some medical place. He also sold the heads and tails. Plus, he bragged he occasionally ate a rattler.
He jokingly said ... The plus side was, His Wife never bothered him, while he was working in his snake shack.

Eh - 9 out of 12, and I was just guessing on some, based on my dad's rule of thumb for ID'ing snakes. My late father was a research biologist - gave the most wonderful nature walks around, when we were kids.
His suggestion was that if it had a noticeable, and well-defined neck, it was venomous. If it was entirely sleek, from head to tail, probably not - but the coral snake was an exception to this guideline.

Having been born and grown up in south Alabama I got them all. I have seen them all. One that wasn't shown was the Eastern Diamondback. Biggest one I ever saw measured 8'-4" long. Snakes aren't poisonous, they are venomous.

Oklahoma Wildlife has a hilarious be snake aware campaign using this point as one of their education gags.

Remembering Ft. Irwin and the warnings about the Mojave Green"According to Emedicinehealth.com , approximately 7,000 snakebites are reported in the United States each year, with five to 10 of those being fatal. What makes the Mojave Green rattlesnake noteworthy is the potency of its venom, which by one estimate is about 16 times as toxic as the Diamondback rattlesnake venom."

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Donald Trump has branded revised jobs data released on Wednesday as a 'massive scandal' - after it was revealed the US economy created 818,000 fewer jobs over the last year than originally reported.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics said the jobs growth data for the 12 months to March was actually 30 percent less than it's initial figure of 2.9 million.
The update, which is based on a more detailed quarterly source, was the largest downward revision since 2009 - coinciding with the global financial crisis.
The figures suggest the labor market started cooling sooner than was originally thought.
Trump accused the Biden-Harris administration of being 'caught fraudulently manipulating job statistics to hide the true extent of the Economic Ruin they have inflicted upon America.'
Revisions of jobs data are done every year, and these figures are not the final numbers, which are due to be released early next year.
Concerns over a slowing labor market triggered a market sell-off earlier this month amid fears the US economy is heading toward a recession.
Job growth in the US badly missed expectations in July and the unemployment rate jumped to the highest rate in almost three years.
Employers added 114,000 jobs last month, which was far below the Dow Jones estimate of 185,000.
The unemployment rate also edged higher to 4.3 percent - the highest level since October 2021.
'We knew when there was a delay that the numbers weren't going to be good,' said Rob Wilson, President of Employco USA, an employment solutions firm.
'This is a big miss by the Labor Department, said Rob Wilson, President of Employco USA, an employment solutions firm.
'For this to happen during an election year is particularly egregious.
'We will never know how much these inaccurate numbers impacted the election, but it's very troubling to know that false data influenced Americans' voting decisions,' he added.
Other economists said the revisions were not a 'shock', given some of the estimates were for a larger decline.
Goldman Sachs economists said they expected jobs growth for the year to be at least 600,000 weaker than the estimates - and that the decline could be as much as a million.
Before the report, the initial figures indicated an average of around 242,000 jobs added per month during the year to March 2024.
Now the monthly pace is more likely to be around 174,000, which is still considered a healthy rate of hiring, Bloomberg reported.
'The revisions aren't a shock, given the estimates were for one million fewer jobs,' Robert Frick, corporate economist with the Navy Federal Credit Union, said in a note.
'This doesn't challenge the idea we're still in an expansion, but it does signal we should expect monthly job growth to be more muted and put extra pressure on the Fed to cut rates.'
Markets edged slightly higher after the data was released, as it reinforced forecasts that the Federal Reserve will likely begin cutting interest rates next month.
Traders are now expecting a quarter-point cut in September, which will bring benchmark borrowing rates down from the 23-year high where they have been since July 2023.
Fed Chair Jerome Powell will take the revised figures into account when he speaks at the annual symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, on Friday.
At its last meeting, the central bank said it is focusing more on the labor side of its dual mandate, which also includes bringing the annual inflation rate down to its 2 percent target.
It's delightfully fitting that on the day the entire financial world was holding its breath for Biden's highly politicized and grossly incompetent Bureau of Labor Statistics to admit it had massively fucked up the jobs data over the past year, that Biden's highly politicized and grossly incompetent Bureau of Labor Statistics fucked up even more.
At exactly 10am ET this morning, the BLS was supposed to publish its annual CES Preliminary Benchmark Announcement revision, an update on how many jobs in the past year were, for lack of a better word, made up (as we reported earlier, it just so happened that the number was 818,000, which was the second biggest annual overestimation of job creation in US history... something that surely was pure coincidence in an election year).
However, 10:01am ET hit... and nothing happened: millions of traders, thousands of economists and countless macrotourists were furiously slamming the F5 key, refreshing the revisions page to see.... nothing change. This went on, and on, and on.... and even though the market actually reacted as if data had been published, it turned out that algos were merely responding to phantom triggers in hopes of triggering momentum ignition up or down. No actual data was reported.

Dorothy Sebastian (born Stella Dorothy Sabiston April 26, 1903 in Birmingham, died April 8, 1957 in Los Angeles, California) was a Ziegfeld Girl and silent film actress who starred with Joan Crawford and Anita Page in a series of MGM romantic dramas including Our Dancing Daughters (1928), Our Modern Maidens (1929) and Our Blushing Brides (1930).
[GEOTV] The Taliban ...the once and current oppressors of Afghanistan... have barred United Nations ...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly... -appointed special rapporteur Richard Bennett from entering Afghanistan, the administration's spokesperson told local broadcaster Tolo, accusing the human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... watchdog of "spreading propaganda".
Bennett was appointed by the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHCR) in 2022 to monitor Afghanistan's human rights situation after the Taliban took over the previous year.
Bennett, who has previously said the Taliban's treatment of women and girls could amount to a crime against humanity, is based outside Afghanistan but has visited several times to research the situation.
The UN Human Rights Council did not immediately respond to request for comment. Bennett could not immediately be reached for comment.
The Taliban administration's foreign ministry spokesperson Abdul Qahar Balkhi told Rooters that Bennett "had been unable to acquire a travel visa to Afghanistan".
"Even after repeatedly requesting Mr Bennett to adhere to professionalism during work... it was decided that... his reports are based on prejudices and anecdotes detrimental to interests of Afghanistan and the Afghan people," Balkhi said.
Taliban administration spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid has previously said the Taliban respect women's rights in accordance with its interpretation of Islamic law and local customs. He told Tolo that Bennett would not be allowed to come to Afghanistan, a rare public barring of an individual foreign official.
"Mr Bennett's travel to Afghanistan has been prohibited because he was assigned to spread propaganda in Afghanistan... He used to exaggerate minor issues and propagate them," Mujahid said, according to Tolo.

[HODHODYEMENNEWS] The US-British coalition aircraft renewed on Wednesday air attacks on Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... , targeting with a series of raids the Hodeidah province, west of the country.
A security source in Hodeidah confirmed that American-British warplanes hit al-Salif District three times.
These attacks come after reports of naval operations by the Yemeni Armed Forces south of Aden and west of Hodeidah.
Media outlets quoted the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) as saying that it had received a report about a new attack 57 nautical miles south of the Yemeni city of Aden and the sinking of a ship this morning, 77 nautical miles west of Hodeidah.
Observers believe that the American-British attacks on civilian objects in Yemen are a desperate attempt to stop Yemen from continuing its decision to prevent Zionist ships from passing through the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean in support of the resistance and support for the Paleostinian people in the Gazoo

[DHAKATRIBUNE] Tarique Rahman ...the elder son of former President of Bangladesh Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam, and Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. He is the Senior Vice Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). His nickname is Pino. There are allegations that Pino took a rakeoff from every foreign investment into the country while Mom was in office... , acting chairman of BNP has been acquitted by a Noakhali court in a sedition case filed with the court.
Noakhali Additional District and Sessions Judge Court Noman Mohi Uddin passed the order on Wednesday.
Court inspector Md Shah Alam confirmed the matter.
He said that the judge has ordered the officer-in-charge (OC) of Char Jabbar cop shoppe to send back the arrest warrant sent in the name of Tarique Rahman in this case.
Earlier on last Sunday afternoon, BNP leaders and activists of Subarnochar held a procession with brooms and shoes against the plaintiff advocate Omar Faruk to withdraw the false case against Tarique Rahman.
It is reported that in December 2014, Tarique Rahman made a speech about former Prime Minister the loathesome Sheikh Hasina ...Bangla dynastic politician and now exiled former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. She was President of the Bangla Awami League since the Lower Paleolithic. She is the eldest of five children of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangla. Her party defeated the BNP-led Four-Party Alliance in the 2008 parliamentary elections. She once before held the office, from 1996 to 2001, when she was defeated in a landslide. She and the head of the BNP, Khaleda Zia showed such blind animosity toward each other that they are known as the Battling Begums. That is probably because Khaleda's late husband was the Pak tool who had Mujib assassinated... 's father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, at an event in London.
Subsequently, on February 28, 2015, Advocate Omar Faruk, President of the Subornachar Upazila Awami League and Chairman of Char Jabbar Union, filed a case against Tarique Rahman at the Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court.
The court instructed Char Jabbar Police Station to take legal action.
On April 4, 2017, Sub-Inspector (SI) Anwar Hossain Bhuiyan of the cop shoppe submitted the charge sheet to the court.
The court then issued an arrest warrant for Tarique Rahman in this case.

This is not the first time Erdan has lashed out at the United Nations. During his tenure, he frequently criticized UN Secretary-General António Guterres ...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years... and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Paleostine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), accusing them of bias against Israel.
Erdan's comments come amid ongoing international condemnation of Israel's genocide in Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of over 40,170 Paleostinians, most of whom are women and kiddies.
The UN Security Council has repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire, but the genocide continues unabated.

The airstrikes targeted the cities of al-Daien, al-Fasher, and al-Tawisha in Darfur, as well as al-Hasaheisa in al-Jazirah state. al-Daien, the historical capital of the Rizeigat tribe and a stronghold of the RSF was particularly hard hit.
Al-Daien's teaching hospital and a displacement centre were struck, resulting in at least 15 deaths and dozens of injuries.
Activists and journalists on the ground reported widespread destruction and civilian casualties, with video footage showing the aftermath of barrel kabooms. The Sudanese military has not commented on the airstrikes.
In response to the aerial bombardment, the RSF launched artillery strikes on civilian areas in al-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state. The shelling caused further deaths and injuries, adding to the mounting humanitarian crisis in the region.

This is how complicated things can get in the Sudan: The Arab Islamist Military Government attacks the Rizayqat center. The Rizayqat are a very large Darfur and Bahr al-Ghazal Arab cattle nomad tribe that for decades was allied with the central government in Khartoum. For years it was used by the Islamists to attack the African South Sudanese. That the central government and Rizayqat are now seemingly at swords point demands explanation. That the Rizayqat have apparently joined forces with the Muslim African tribals of Darfur also demands explanation -- which will not be forthcoming from the useless Sudan Tribune.

South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... 's military leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan on Tuesday ordered the Sovereignty Council to take control of the country's border crossings, a move aimed at streamlining humanitarian aid delivery amid the ongoing conflict.
The decision comes as Sudan prepares to open several border crossings to facilitate the flow of aid to those affected by the fighting. al-Burhan recently approved the opening of the Adr crossing with Chad to address the dire humanitarian situation in Darfur.
A statement from the Sovereignty Council said the move was intended to ''facilitate procedures across border crossings, ensure smooth commercial movement and speed up the clearance of goods.''
Currently, Sudan's land and sea crossings are overseen by the Ministry of Transport. There is only one problem, the central Government does not control that border crossing. What it is implying is that it will cease its bombing and allow aid from Chad/Libya to reach the surrounded El Fasher which has yet to fall to the rebels.

As last-ditch diplomatic efforts continued to halt the 10-month-old war between Israel and Hamas ..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... , the Israeli military said jets hit around 30 targets throughout the Gaza Strip including tunnels, launch sites and an observation post.

The evacuation orders, which the military said were needed to clear civilians from what had become ''a dangerous combat zone,'' were soon followed by tank fire with at least one person killed and several maimed by machine gun fire, medics and residents said.

After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm... ended his latest visit to the Middle East with no clear sign over whether a deal to end the fighting is in sight.
At stake in the talks Blinken had with leaders of ceasefire mediators, Egypt and Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... , as well as in Israel, is the fate of tiny, crowded Gaza, where Israel's military campaign has killed more than 40,000 people since October according to Paleostinian health authorities, and of the remaining hostages being held there.
The war in Gaza began on Oct. 7 last year when Hamas button men stormed into Israeli communities and military bases, killing around 1,200 people and abducting about 250 hostages, according to Israeli tallies.
For the displaced left exposed in Deir al-Balah, the lack of progress toward a ceasefire compounded the misery as they searched for space away from the fighting.
''Where will we go? Where will we go?'' said Aburakan, 55, a displaced person from Gaza City in the territory's north who has had to change refuge five times since October.
''We feel they are closing in. I live a few hundred meters from the threatened areas, and I have been searching since the early morning in vain for a space in western Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis, or Nuseirat,'' he told Rooters via a chat app. So, you can charge your smartphone?
''Unfortunately, we may die before we see an end to this war. All ceasefire talk is a lie.''
Paleostinian and United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... officials say most of the 2.3 million population have become internally displaced by Israel's ongoing military offensive and bombardment that have also flattened swathes of built-up areas across the enclave.

Giving the finger to the USA. Again.
And Blinken is a Jew and a dual citizen, even.
And still, Israel disrespects him and America like this.
Well, it's not like this is anything new.
Yes, Secretary Blinken is Jewish, and even was reared by a Holocaust survivor who escaped the Nazi death march to take refuge in an American tank. But he was born in Yonkers and never took Israeli citizenship.
Nor is there any reason for Israel to respect someone who so clearly prioritizes Israel’s enemies — also America’s enemies, but whatevs.

[ALJAZEERA] At least 13 Paleostinians have been maimed in an Israeli attack on the home of the al-Judaili family in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in central Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... , the Anadolu news agency is reporting.
Four people were taken to the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah in a critical condition, Anadolu added.
The Wafa news agency also reported that a number of people were maimed by Israeli artillery shelling in the Sabra neighbourhood of Gaza City, in the north of the Gaza Strip.

[Regnum] During the session on August 21, the Verkhovna Rada deputies voted to ratify the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), while taking care of the protection of their war criminals, MP Irina Gerashchenko reported on the Telegram channel.
Kyiv ratified the Rome Statute, but took care of its war criminals
"The ratification was supported by 281 deputies. This is truly one of the European integration obligations," she wrote.
The Rada recognized the Rome Statute on the condition that the Kiev regime would not recognize the ICC jurisdiction for seven years after the law came into force if it affected war crimes committed by Ukrainian citizens. Gerashchenko explained this by the desire of the deputies to protect their servicemen from trial while military actions were ongoing.
"We believe that today the authorities should not take steps aimed at demotivating the military. Even fears that Ukrainian military personnel may be extradited at the request of the International Criminal Court demotivate our defenders," Gerashchenko said.
She also recalled that many Ukrainian military personnel, when discussing the ratification of the Rome Statute, called for this issue to be postponed.
Ukraine signed the Rome Statute in 2000. According to the association agreement with the EU, signed in 2014, Kyiv committed to ratifying the document recognizing the ICC.
As reported by Regnum News Agency, in March 2022, the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow does not recognize the ICC and its jurisdiction. The Russian Federation has not ratified the Rome Statute. The official representative of the Kremlin also noted that this court also conducts trials that are kept secret.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called the ICC decisions legally null and void for most states. He recalled that the US also threatened to impose sanctions on members of this court who decided to investigate the crimes of American soldiers in Afghanistan.
In Russia, criminal cases have been opened against ICC representatives. The prosecution targets prosecutor Karim Ahmad Khan, judges Tomoko Akane, Rosario Salvatore Aitala and Sergio Gerardo Ugalde Godinez.
On August 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukrainian soldiers who committed crimes in Donbass, Novorossiya and Kursk Oblast will definitely be punished. He also compared what the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants are doing to terrorism in the Caucasus.
On August 6, the Russian Investigative Committee reported that it was investigating crimes committed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during attacks on the Kursk and Belgorod regions. Ukrainian militants also attacked an ambulance with medics and a civilian vehicle carrying children. Civilians were killed and injured in the attacks.

[DHAKATRIBUNE] With the fall of the previous government, Bangladesh currently finds itself in a particularly precarious position, especially when it comes to rule of law. With cop shoppes around the nation finally coming back into operation, it is now more important than ever for the public to cooperate with law enforcement.
Which is why yesterday's reported storming of the Secretariat by hundreds of students is such a disappointing development.
According to reports, hundreds of students stormed the Secretariat yesterday afternoon demanding the cancellation of the remaining Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams, bypassing police barricades. The circumstances had reportedly deteriorated to the point where law enforcement stationed at the Secretariat gates had to take refuge in a safe area.

[Regnum] For the immune system to function well, it is necessary to include animal proteins, whole grains, vitamins and fiber in your diet. This was stated to a correspondent of IA Regnum on August 21 by a doctor, endocrinologist-nutritionist, therapist, nutritionist with an evidence-based approach, IV-therapist, ozone therapist, specialist in Anti-Age strategy and longevity of 4P-medicine Natalia Lazurenko.
She noted that the human immune system consists mainly of protein structures. Therefore, to maintain its functioning, it is important to eat meat, fish, poultry, eggs and dairy products, since these proteins are irreplaceable and cannot be synthesized by the body on its own.
"Also necessary for strengthening the immune system are fats, which can be obtained from plant products (oils) and products rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, such as fish, algae and flaxseed oil. Vitamins also play an important role in maintaining the immune system. They are catalysts for the body and help to implement a large number of biochemical processes. For example, vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals and reduces inflammation, which is the basis of other diseases. It also participates in the activation of the immune system when it encounters a virus or bacterial agents," the nutritionist emphasized.
She noted the importance of getting enough fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamin D, which ensures the integrity of the body's cells and helps the immune system work more effectively. Sources of vitamin D include cod liver, seafood, and algae.
According to Lazurenko, it is also necessary to pay attention to microelements that trigger many biochemical processes, including the immune response when encountering pathological agents. Iron is one of the main microelements necessary to maintain the immune system. Its source is red meat (beef), beef liver, and turkey or rabbit liver.
Selenium, zinc and copper are also important for the immune system and can be obtained from nuts and whole grains. Fiber, found in whole grains, vegetables and fruits, also plays an important role in maintaining immunity because it affects the functioning of the gut microflora, which makes up more than 90% of immune cells, the expert added.
She clarified that it is worth paying attention to such products as pumpkin, which is a source of vitamin C and microelements, as well as seasonal fruits and berries (cranberries, rose hips).
As reported by the Regnum news agency, nutritionist Nuria Dianova reported on July 28 that when drinking coffee, a person borrows energy from the body and the price for excessive consumption of the drink can be serious. According to the expert, people who are very addicted to coffee may suffer from brain function, as well as other organs, such as the gastrointestinal tract.
In the presence of certain diseases, coffee should be contraindicated, and in a number of others, it should be limited. People suffering from heart rhythm disorders, erosive and ulcerative stomach disease and Gilbert's syndrome (hereditary liver disease) should be especially careful, and they should not combine coffee consumption with medications, as this can interfere with their action, Dianova clarified.
Chief freelance specialist, nutritionist of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region, head of the regional dietary center of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Moscow Region MONIKI named after M. F. Vladimirsky Inna Pichugina said on June 1 that it is recommended to eat no more than one serving of ice cream once every two days. She specified that this amount of ice cream can be eaten in the absence of problems with the digestive organs, throat and vocal cords.

[Regnum] The vicar of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavlo of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl, fell ill during a court hearing. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) reported this on August 21 in its Telegram channel.
It is noted that the hierarch was hospitalized. Doctors provided him with first aid and took him to the hospital.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, Metropolitan Pavlo had heart problems in August 2023. He was urgently hospitalized in one of the cardiology clinics in Kiev, where he underwent surgery.
In 2023, they began trying to evict the UOC monks from the monastery. Metropolitan Pavel was placed under house arrest. He was forced to leave the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and was forbidden to come to the monastery for services.
The SBU brought charges against the metropolitan for inciting interreligious hatred. The priest himself called the criminal case against him an attempt to remove him from the leadership of the monastery.
On August 20, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill banning the UOC in its final reading. The law was supported by 265 deputies with 226 votes required, and will come into force 30 days after its publication. Advisor to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, stated that this law tramples on internationally recognized norms in the area of protecting religious freedom and provides the opportunity for the Kiev regime to widely deploy anti-church persecutions.
[GEOTV] Referring to demolition of Bangladesh founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's statues during the recent protests led by students, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the one who spearheaded an anti-Pakistain movement met his fate.
Infuriated people vandalised several statues, pictures and murals of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman following an end to the loathesome Sheikh Hasina ...Bangla dynastic politician and now exiled former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. -led government who fled to India on board a military helicopter along with her sister.
The Hasina government collapsed on the back of riots — one of the worst in the country's history of 50-odd years. Almost 300 people were killed and thousands of others injured in the recent violence that started in early July.
The protesters launched their rallies last month, demanding the government abolish civil service job quotas. However,
a hangover is the wrath of grapes... the large-scale demonstrations escalated into the worst unrest of Hasina's 15-year rule, with protesters later calling on the 76-year-old to step down.
"What goes around comes around", the premier said while referring to the demolition of statues of Bangladesh former president, who according to him divided Pakistain.
Speaking about other issues at the National Youth Convention in Islamabad, PM Shehbaz said that Pakistain had sacrificed thousands of lives in its fight against terrorism besides suffering an economic loss of $150 billion. "Not just Pakistain, the whole world has benefited from the elimination of terrorism by Pakistain," he added.
The Convention was attended by federal ministers, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission, teachers, vice-chancellors and students from across the country.

[GEOTV] Reiterating its resolve to retaliate against Israel over Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... leader Ismael Haniyeh's killing, Iranian mission to the UN has said that Tehran's response come come in a time and manner that would take the Israelis by surprise, Al Jazeera reported.
"Maybe when their eyes are on the sky and the radar screen, they are surprised from the ground, and maybe a combination of the two," the statement said, adding that Iran's response should not only punish the aggressor for violating its illusory sovereignty but also act as deterrence for others in future.

[REGNUM] On the morning of August 20, Russian media published a photograph of American mercenaries in the Kursk region — members of the Forward Observations Group (FOG) private military company. “The boys in Kursk,” read the caption under the photo, which can be translated as “The boys in Kursk” (Kursk region). The photo, which appeared on Instagram on August 16, shows three mercenaries against the background of an HMMWV armored vehicle. The mercenaries' uniforms have blue identification stripes, and their faces are hidden. But one of them was quickly identified. According to RT, the person in the center of the photo is FOG founder Derrick Bales. He was recognized by his modified M4A1 rifle, as well as the distinctive skull tattoo on his right arm. [HODHODYEMENNEWS] Relations between Egypt and Israel have deteriorated significantly due to disagreements over the deployment of Israeli forces in Rafah and the Philadelphi Corridor on the Egypt-Gazoo

Naturally. Israel wants to prevent weapons and personnel smuggling into Gaza from Egypt, while Egypt wants to profit from it on the way to the righteous Moslem conquest of lands separated from the Ummah in 1967 by a bunch of uppity Jooooos.
During negotiations in Cairo over the past 48 hours, Egyptian officials informed their Israeli counterparts that Egypt would never agree to the presence of Israeli forces at either of the specified locations, regardless of their number, the paper reported citing sources familiar with the matter as saying that
One of the sources clarified that Israeli officials were insistent on maintaining their troops in Rafah and the Philadelphi Corridor, and had pledged to provide satellite imagery to prove that only a limited number of their forces were stationed there.
The Egyptians rejected this proposal and suggested the deployment of American or UN forces at the two sites, a proposal that was turned down by the Israeli side.
They have accused Israel of violating bilateral agreements that prohibit the deployment of Israeli troops in these areas.
It is noted that Israel took control of the Paleostinian side of the Rafah crossing in May, and subsequently its forces entered the Philadelphi Corridor on the border between Gaza and Egypt during the Israeli military operation against Hamas ..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... and other factions in Gaza, in response to Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7.

Israel patrolled that Gaza border region from 1967 until it turned over the Gaza Strip to the Palestinians in 2005. It would just re-assume its former role.
Did Israel notice? They usually don’t when the attack comes from Iraq…
[HODHODYEMENNEWS] The Islamic Resistance® in Iraq has carried out new operations against a vital Israeli military site.
The umbrella group of resistance factions said on Tuesday that it targeted the regime's military site in the occupied Umm al-Rashrash also known as Eilat.
The group added that the operation was in support of Paleostinians and in response to Israel's ongoing genocidal war in Gazoo

The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... The Iraqi resistance group has repeatedly stated that it will continue its anti-Israel operations if the Gaza genocide continues.
Regional resistance groups have repeatedly targeted sensitive and important Israeli bases in occupied Paleostine.
They have also targeted American sites in Iraq and Syria in recent months amid growing anger at the US support for Israel's bloody war on the Gaza Strip.
Israel's genocidal war against Gaza has so far killed more than 40,000 Paleostinians, mostly women and kiddies.
On Sunday evening, the Islamic Resistance® in Iraq carried out operations against Israeli military targets on the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
The Iraqi resistance said that the operations were in support of Paleostinians and in response to Israel's massacres of civilians in Gaza.

1st of all.
It is HAMAS that is refusing to attend truce talks, not Israel.
2nd, GAZANS, have openly & historically supported HAMAS and other Terrorist groups.
3rd, GAZA leaders are the source of these numbers.
Naturally, I question the accuracy of any numbers GAZA presents.
4th, HAMAS does not seem to care about what happens to GAZA either. Since its goal is DEATH TO ISRAEL. So Hamas, any Islamic, JEW or Christian killed just furthers their evil ideology.
5th, Oct. 7th.
The Oct 7th massacre took weeks/months to plan, supply, stage and then execute from GAZA. So it is clear it had to have had serious local support to have accomplished what it did, and as quickly as it was done.
6th, Now let us discuss HAMAS and other Terrorists hiding among women and children, hospital, daycares and schools. Knowing it could/would facilitate their deaths, once the Terrorist deliberately leak, or their locations are discovered.

Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... militia on Wednesday, with one catching fire and becoming immobile. The assault happened while the US-led marine struck Houthi targets in Hodeidah province.
The commercial ship was traveling in the Red Sea when it came under fire from armed boats and projectiles, according to the UN. It is believed the Houthis were responsible.
A report said that on Wednesday morning, the skipper of a commercial ship some 77 nautical miles from the port of Hodeidah alerted the UK Maritime Trade Operations that his vessel was being approached by two boats carrying a number of people.
There was an exchange of fire between armed crew on the boats and the ship’s guards. Two hours later, it was reported that two unidentified projectiles had damaged the ship, resulting in a fire and loss of engine power.
"The vessel is drifting and not under command. The Master also reports a small craft acting suspiciously in the vicinity," said a message from UKMTO, urging vessels in the region to stay alert and report anything suspicious.
Greek shipping minister, Christos Stylianides said the target ship was the Greek-flagged D/X Sounion, traveling from Iraq to Cyprus. The 25 crew members were safe, he added.
On Wednesday afternoon, UKMTO said the captain of a ship traveling in waters south of the city of Aden reported two explosions nearby. There were no injuries or damage caused.
The Houthi militia has not yet grabbed credit for the attacks, although previously this has happened hours or even days later.
The last spokesperson Yahya Sarea did so was on Aug. 7, when he claimed the Houthis had attacked US warships and a merchant ship in the Red Sea.
Since November, the Houthis say they have attacked over 100 ships in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden and other waters with hundreds of drones, ballistic missiles and drone boats with the aim of putting pressure on Israel to end the conflict in the Gazoo

The US has reacted by organizing a coalition of marine task forces, designating the Houthi militia as a terrorist organization, and bombarding Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.
Houthi-run al-Masirah reported on Wednesday that US and UK forces conducted three strikes on the al-Saleef area of Hodeidah governorate but did not provide any details.

Enough with the 'ball bearing' factories. You know you go after their fuel production/distribution infrastructure. No fuel, no move. If you just want to send a message, use Western Union.

Biden has made a lot of comments about civilian fatalities in Gaza.
This probably prevents him from allowing the US military from making the kind of hits that are really needed, whether on fuel supplies, as Proc suggests or on significant command/control targets.

With the US Navy at his disposal, Biden is either unable or unwilling to secure commercial shipping routes on international water ways. I'm guessing he's unwilling more than unable. I hate to think the navy couldn't solve this problem in a day or two if the commander-in-chief would only give the order. This makes America look weak and foolish to the rest of the world. He should be impeached for dereliction of duty, not just for the border but for this scandal as well.

[DHAKATRIBUNE] A clash took place in Faridpur, resulting in one death due to a conflict between BNP's Central Organizing Secretary, Shama Obayet Rinku, and Central Krishak Dal General Secretary, Shahidul Islam's supporters.
The incident occurred at Nagarkanda Bazar in Faridpur on Wednesday morning.
The dear departed was identified as Kabir Bhuiyan, 50.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital, Faridpur, ward master Enayet Hossain Sakhawat confirmed the death.
Some supporters were maimed and are receiving treatment in the hospital.
Shahidul Islam said: "I have heard that someone died in this incident, which is very saddening, and I will look into it. However,
a clean conscience makes a soft pillow... our party has a directive not to include outsiders, so we should avoid doing so."
At least three shops of Shahidul Islam Babul and his supporters were allegedly looted. Shama Obaid's supporters allegedly carried out the attack, vandalism and looting.
There is currently extreme tension in the area. Shama Obaid's supporters have taken full control of Nagarkanda market. All the shops in Nagarkanda Bazar were closed due to the clash.
Meanwhile,
...back at the desert island, Irene was indignant at the thought of doing such a thing without benefit of clergy... Shahidul Islam Babul held a presser at Faridpur Press Club at 5pm calling Shama Obaid a murderer.
At the end of the presser, the leaders and activists started chanting slogans against Shama Obaid.
[NEWARAB] The Paleostinian armed resistance groups decided to resume "suicide operations" within Israeli territories, signalling a new phase in the fighting as Israel's genocidal war continues past its tenth month.
On Monday, the Paleostinian Islamic movement, Hamas ..always the voice of sweet reason... , and the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... grabbed credit for the Tel Aviv explosion on 18 August.
The one where the jacketwallah managed to kill only himself in a premature kaboom? Golly.
"In cooperation with our brothers in al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the PIJ, we have implemented the operation that took place in Tel Aviv," al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said in a press statement sent to The New Arab.
"The Tel Aviv attack came as a response to the ongoing Israeli crimes against our people in the Gazoo

Strip," al-Qassam noted, vowing to resume the "military attacks and explosions" in the Israeli cities.
Israel's police and the Shin Bet internal security agency described the earth-shattering kaboom in Tel Aviv as a "terrorist attack", claiming that the target was a synagogue.

Wiki: Originally, the camp housed 9,000 refugees in tents and then mud-brick structures, which were replaced with cement block structures in the early 1960s. The current population is about twice that of the original refugee population, most of whom are now dead.
The original residents, like other Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip, came from villages and towns in central and southern pre-1948 Palestine.
[NEWARAB] The United Nations ...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks... expressed concern on Tuesday about the rapid deterioration of the economic and security situation in Libya, denouncing the "unilateral" moves by Libyan actors that have "increased tension."
The country of 6.8 million people has struggled to recover from years of conflict after the 2011 Libyan revolution that overthrew longtime dictator Muammar Qadaffy ...Proof that a madman with money will be politely received for at least 42 years until his people get tired of him and kill him...> , and remains divided between a UN-recognised government based in the capital Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... and a rival administration in the east, backed by military strongman Khalifa Haftar ...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all. Actually, he is, but slowly... Now, reemerging bloodshed and power struggles in the vast North African nation have raised fears of a broader escalation, threatening to deal a fatal blow to the UN-brokered political transition and push the war-torn country deeper into turmoil.
"Over the past two months, the situation in Libya has tanked quite rapidly in terms of political, economic and security stability," Stephanie Koury, acting head of the UN's political mission in Libya (UNSMIL), told the Security Council.
"Unilateral acts by Libyan political, military and security actors have increased tension, further entrenched institutional and political divisions and complicated efforts for a negotiated political solution," she added.
She cited a number of events since the beginning of August, including fighting between gangs on the outskirts of Tripoli and attempts to forcibly expel the governor of the central bank.
The American diplomat is acting head of UNSMIL pending the appointment of a successor to Abdoulaye Bathily, who threw in the towel in April, condemning a "lack of political will and good faith" by Libyan leaders.
"In the absence of renewed political talks leading to a unified government and elections, you see where this is heading: greater political, financial and security instability, entrenched political and territorial divisions, and greater domestic and regional instability," warned Koury.
"Libyans are frustrated with the status quo and the toll it is taking on their lives. People struggle to withdraw money from the banks and to meet their daily needs. Many express fear about war once again erupting," she said.

When Italy ruled Libya it divided the country in three parts Tipolitania to the west, Cyrenaica to the east, and the Fezzan to the south. It would be well to reintroduce that arrangement. The Libya that is "deteriorating" is Tripoli, which is basically ungovernable. Thus, create a new Cyrenaican polity with its capital at Benghazi and let Tripoli go to Hell. As for Fezzan, it is not worth governing.

Libya was governed about as well as anyone could expect by Muammar Qadaffy. Sure, he was a scoundrel but Ronald Reagan rendered him harmless in 1983. The current state of that country is the legacy of treacherous meddling by America, Britain and France during the Obama administration. David Cameron and Nicholas Sarkozy headed the governments of Britain and France at the time. The question is: Are Libyans better off now than they were when Qadaffy was in power?
Miss me now?

The miserable condition in western and southern Libya can be laid at the doorstep of Hillary Clinton. M. Qadafy had been (metaphorically) emasculated and was actually making some good economic and political changes in Libya when Washington's idiots backed by Paris and the EU, thought they could play petro-politics. They played "throw out the bastard and we'll take over." They forked-up, and to this day millions have suffered from their stupidity.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken ...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm... returned to Washington empty-handed on Tuesday ending his ninth visit to the region since October without a deal after meetings with officials in Egypt, Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... and Israel.
Speaking to news hounds before flying out of Doha on Tuesday, Blinken said the deal must be done and "we will do everything possible to get it across the finish line".
A day earlier, Blinken said the deal on offer was "probably the best, maybe last, opportunity".
Despite the pressing need to end the bloodshed, hopes are waning amid reports that Netanyahu had admitted he does not believe a deal will be reached and was reluctant to end the war.

[Korrespondent] 18:37 Russian troops are actively using aviation in the Kursk region: today, 17 airstrikes with the use of 27 guided aerial bombs on populated areas of the Russian Federation are already known, the General Staff reported. Air Force Commander Nikolai Oleshchuk, in turn, showed a video of tactical aviation pilots striking enemy concentrations, equipment and positions of Russians who, after the announced evacuation of civilians from the border area of the Kursk region, are actively occupying civilian facilities:
14:53 Radio Liberty journalists visited Sudzha in the Kursk region and in their report told what is happening there:
12:55 The Kremlin believes that the fighting in the Kursk region will last for several months, and is preparing to convince Russians that this is a "new normal," Meduza writes, citing sources close to the Putin administration and the government. According to them, immediately after the start of the Ukrainian invasion, the Russian elites were shocked, but in two weeks "the shock passed, and they got used to it."
In order to calm the anxious mood in society, the Kremlin, according to media reports, intends to prepare Russians for life in the conditions of a "new reality" and "new normality" through controlled media. The main theses will be as follows: the Ukrainian Armed Forces have indeed broken through to Russian territory, they are facing "inevitable defeat", but the return of territories will take time, Russians need to wait. In the meantime, Russian citizens will be offered to "direct negativity and shock into a positive direction" by helping the Kursk region in every possible way.
Meduza also writes that the Kremlin has begun discussing the announcement of a new wave of mobilization due to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive in the Kursk region, but so far there has been no decision and the problem of the shortage of personnel in the border area is being solved by conscripts.
12:03 In the Kursk region, fighting has begun for the next major settlement, Korenevo, writes Bild. The publication notes that the advance of Ukrainian troops is taking place against the backdrop of statements by the Russian leadership that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have allegedly already been stopped, which means that the loss of Korenevo will be a huge reputational blow to Putin personally.
11:52 Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed how they destroy Russian pontoon crossings in the Kursk region:
11:44 The Wall Street Journal writes that several months before the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive on the Kursk region, Russian General Alexander Lapin dissolved the regional defense council, which coordinated the actions of the military and special services, so during the Ukrainian offensive, the Russians were left without a single control center. Then the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation began to compete with each other, figuring out who was in charge. This led to chaos. The WSJ notes that the failure of the defense of the Kursk region was also due to a critical shortage of military personnel in the region.
In November 2022, Lapin was removed from his post as commander of the Central Military District when the Ukrainian Armed Forces recaptured territories in northeastern Ukraine. Later, in January 2023, Lapin became head of the General Staff of the Ground Forces and was responsible for the defense of the Russian border.
08:59 The Russian military command has redeployed some of its units from the direction of Chasovy Yar to the Kursk region to stop the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports. According to analysts, elements of the 11th Brigade, intended to replace or reinforce the forward units, have been redeployed near Sudzha. At the same time, Russians participating in combat operations at the front were not touched.
ISW believes that such redeployments could affect the pace of Russian offensive operations, but this could take several months. In general, the Russian military command does not want to withdraw units involved in combat operations from higher-priority sectors of the Donetsk region.
According to Russian sources, the Russian Armed Forces command has redeployed units of the 30th Motorized Rifle Regiment (72nd Motorized Rifle Division, 22nd Army Corps, Leningrad Military District) to the Kursk Region, which as of mid-July was operating in the north of the Kharkov Region. ISW also cited one of the Ukrainian military observers, who claimed that an unspecified unit of the 4th Tank Division (1st Guards Tank Army, Moscow Military District) was operating in the Kursk Region. However, this unit was probably there even before the start of the Ukrainian Armed Forces operation in the Kursk Region.

^And then the Russians will take off silk gloves and bomb Ukraine to stone age.
#4
^And they have already tried. Simple thing is, they can't. They blew their wad already and only have nukes left and lied about every redline they had for their use. Even if Russia gets a win beneficial to them in this war, they are finished.

^Denial ain't just a river in Egypt our Putin-Loving friends? Wasn't this a two week Special Military Operation a couple years ago? Don't you "talk to people"?

Pyrrhic victory or Pyrrhic defeat. In anything beyond the short term, what’s the difference?
President Putin’s invitation to the unhappy citizens of Christendom to make their home in Russia is an attempt to replace a population that’s been falling since the 1990s as well as create a groundswell of goodwill behind NATO lines.

Well Grom has been slurping down what the Kremlin has been spurting out for a while.
The simple fact of the matter is if the war keeps going this way with a small stream of western support for Ukraine, Russia will win (Barring political issues at home). It is the way Russia has fought for centuries. Throw more bodies at the problem than the enemy has.
The long term survival of Russia is doomed no matter what they do. Demographics is a bitch and there are not enough Russians to maintain a Russian ethnic majority in 2100 and this war is accelerating the issue. (Ukraine is also doomed in the long run unless they win and have a 50 year baby boom).
The main issue for the immediate war is some kool-aid drinkers think Russia has this vast reserve that they are just holding back and will unleash if made mad. They don't. The tank storages are out of tanks that can be quickly activated, they can't build them faster than they are destroyed so it falls to a slow attrition grind. Russia has nothing left to throw into Kursk. The latest unit was a battalion of engineers and mechanics from their rocket launching base. They aren't gonna stop armor. Ukraine is also using the last of their main reserves for this so if Russia does rip a bigger whole in the Donbass Ukraine is screwed.
Conscripts here are from the main Russian population centers and that can put some major pressure on the Kremlin as the main supporters start turning as their sons are made POWs. Conscripting from there only makes the political situation worse. Seems they are happy to let Ukraine expend themselves capturing more territory there while pushing in the south. The calculation being there isn't enough political pressure building to break things before the Ukrainian lines are broken. Both strategies are high risk-high reward.

Tail of Dove Bear, or, "Olly olly in come free!"
"True Russians, indifferent to pain
And demography," Russians explain,
"Have grown rather few...
Which is why we'll need you,
Brother Russians, to green our Ukraine."
Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.
[Korrespondent] 20:21 Russians shelled Konstantinovka in Donetsk region, one person was killed, reported the head of the OVA Vadim Filashkin.
20:00 The Netherlands will purchase and transfer to Ukraine 51 mobile air defense radars manufactured by Robin Radar Systems by the end of 2024, the country's Defense Ministry reported.
19:42 Zelensky reported that he discussed with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew the new law on the spiritual independence of Ukraine, supported by the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, and stressed that "an independent people must also be independent spiritually." "He assured that our state strives to strengthen Orthodoxy in Ukraine and will promote open dialogue between churches," the president added.
18:57 Borrell said lifting restrictions on Ukraine's use of Western weapons would help advance peace efforts. According to the EU diplomat, such a decision would strengthen Ukraine's self-defense, save lives and reduce destruction, and would also help advance peace efforts.
18:23 The Russian prosecutor's office has requested up to 24 years in prison for Ukrainian prisoners of war from Azov, writes Mediazona. Nine women, most of whom worked as cooks in Azov, have been asked to receive 16 to 19 years in a general regime penal colony, while the men have been asked to receive 16 to 24 years in a strict regime penal colony. They are accused of actions allegedly aimed at "the violent seizure of power," participation in the activities of a "terrorist organization," and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out "terrorist activities."
At the same time, a number of those captured by Russia took part in the defense of Mariupol and Azovstal, while others had already left the service at the time of the Russian invasion: they were detained at home or during “filtration.”
17:59 The Murmansk region of the Russian Federation has been attacked by drones for the fourth day in a row, said Violetta Grudina, former coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in the region. There have been no official reports of attacks or drone downings in the region, but today restrictions on the use of airspace were introduced at the airports of Murmansk and Apatity. Publics write that UAVs are storming the Murmansk region in the direction of the Olenya airfield, which is the location of Tu-95 strategic bombers.
17:11 The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) attacked the Savasleyka military airfield in the Nizhny Novgorod region with drones, Ukrainian media write, citing intelligence sources. As a result of the attack, a MIG-31K/I aircraft, two Il-76 aircraft were destroyed and about five aircraft, probably MIG-31K/I, were damaged.
16:28 Czech President Petr Pavel believes that the war in Ukraine should end with negotiations, but not now: "I am more of the opinion that in a few years both sides will understand that it is impossible to continue, and negotiations will take place. In particular, world states should make a significant contribution to this - not only the United States, but also China." Pavel also stated that if the Nord Streams were blown up by Ukraine, they were a legitimate target. At the same time, he emphasized that he has no information about who is behind the explosions of the gas pipelines.
16:04 Russian troops have launched a drone strike on a Kherson suburb, OVA chief Oleksandr Prokudin reported. As a result of the attacks, one person was killed in Antonovka and two were wounded in Kindeyka. Another person was injured today as a result of enemy shelling of the village of Nikolskoye.

14:53 Radio Liberty journalists visited Sudzha in the Kursk region and in their report told what is happening there:
14:38 Russia is preparing another propaganda operation in Europe, this time against Ukrainian refugees, said Vadim Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. According to him, the goal of the operation is to convince Ukrainians who left the country because of the war not to return. "This is a very powerful work that the Russians have started: this includes the creation of various societies, the education of children, the church - this is what is used to make our Ukrainians lose their identity, and even more so - to never return to us," Skibitsky noted.

13:03 The "governor" of the occupied Zaporizhia region signed a "decree" on the "recreation of the Cossack army." According to him, the Zaporizhian Cossacks "have traditionally been one of the strongholds of Russian statehood."
12:50 In the Nikolaev region, as a result of a Russian drone falling on one of the substations, energy equipment was damaged, the regional power company reported.
12:44 The Pentagon believes that the war in Ukraine is heading towards a dead end, Bloomberg writes. Thus, according to the publication, the Defense Intelligence Agency does not see sufficient military resources in either Ukraine or Russia to conduct large-scale offensive operations.
Russia has adopted a strategy of exhausting Ukraine and will be able to hold the captured territory, but does not have enough forces "to threaten a deeper advance into Ukrainian-held territory, for example, in Kharkov." Ukraine still cannot match Russia in terms of ammunition, and a large-scale counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be impossible in the next six months, Washington believes. This report covered the period up to June 30, that is, before the start of the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive in the Kursk region.
