US sanctions Lebanese network over alleged oil, LPG smuggling for Hezbollah
[IsraelTimes] Treasury Department targets three individuals, five companies and a number of tankers it says are involved in fundraising for terror group

US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family...
’s administration issued sanctions Wednesday on a Lebanese network it accused of smuggling oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to help fund the Hezbollah terror group.

The sanctions targeted three people, five companies and two vessels which the US Treasury Department said were overseen by a big shot of Hezbollah’s finance team and used profits from illicit LPG shipments to Syria to aid generate revenue for the group.

Acting Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Bradley Smith, in a statement, said Hezbollah "continues to launch rockets into Israel and fuel regional instability, choosing to prioritize funding violence over taking care of the people it claims to care about, including the tens of thousands displaced in southern Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
."

The Treasury statement named the individuals as Hezbollah official Muhammad Ibrahim Habib al-Sayyed
...Arabic term meaning your/his lordship. Groveling in His Exalted Presence is encouraged...
and Lebanese businessmen Ali Nayef Zgheib and Boutros Georges Obeid, who have all "materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods or services to or in support of, Hezbollah."

Five companies linked to the three men were also slapped with US sanctions, as were a number of oil tankers involved in delivering gas to Baniyas port in Syria.

Matthew Miller, the front man for the US State Department, said Wednesday’s sanctions were part of overall efforts to disrupt Hezbollah’s "illicit revenue generation and isolate the terrorist group’s financial network," adding that the US "will not waver" in pursuing the terror group.

Gallant reveals document from top Hamas commander warning Sinwar of dire losses
[IsraelTimes] IDF strikes Hamas command center in Nuseirat school-turned-shelter, announces earlier killings of Hamas operatives who participated in Oct. 7, guarded hostage Noa Marciano

, Rafa’a Salameh, and addressed to Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and his brother Muhammad, in which the commander described the "difficult situation" in which the terror group had found itself.

Salameh, a criminal mastermind of the terror group’s October 7 massacre, was killed in an Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
in southern Gaza in July that also killed senior Hamas commander Muhammad Deif.

In the letter, he wrote: "Please consider the following: We maintain the remaining weapons and equipment, as we have lost 90-95 percent of our rocket capabilities; and we have lost some 60% of our personal weapons; we have lost at least 65-70% of our anti-tank launchers and rockets," according to excerpts provided and translated by the Defense Ministry.

"Most importantly," he continued, "we have lost at least 50% of our fighters between those who are martyred and maimed, and now we are left with 25%. The last 25% of our people have reached a situation where the people do not tolerate them anymore, broken on a mental or physical level."

Gallant said the document showed "a real hardship that affects Hamas and affects the most senior commanders."

Salameh "cries out for the help of the Sinwar brothers, but of course they cannot save him," Gallant said.

"Why? Because we are continuing the effort that started in October and continues step by step... and reaches all senior Hamas officials. He wrote this to the Sinwar brothers, we will get to them as well," the defense minister continued.

Yahya Sinwar is the leader of Hamas in Gaza, and is considered a criminal mastermind of the group’s October 7, 2023 attack, when thousands of gunnies invaded southern Israel from the Gaza Strip, killing some 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages, starting the ongoing war.

Sinwar was last month appointed as the head of the terror group following the July 31 liquidation of previous leader Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
. His brother Muhammad is a senior commander in Hamas’s military wing.

Gallant’s presentation of the document came on the same day as two Israeli soldiers were killed and several others maimed in a helicopter crash attempting to extract a third, seriously maimed soldier from the battlefield. The crash was not a result of enemy fire.

Gallant also published a video on social media Wednesday from the same facility, showing a photo of Muhammad Sinwar’s children posing in front of a depiction of the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center in the United States. The photo was discovered recently in a tunnel underneath Khan Younis, Gallant said in the video, which was posted on the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Meanwhile,
...back at the barn, Bossy had come up with a new idea, one that didn't involve kerosene...
an Israeli airstrike Wednesday in central Gaza struck a group of Hamas operatives at a command room embedded within a former school. According to the military, Hamas was using the al-Jaouni School in Nuseirat to plan and carry out attacks against troops and Israel. The school has been serving as a shelter for displaced Gazooks.

Hospital officials reported 14 people killed, including two children, in the strike.

The IDF said it carried out "many steps," including using precision munitions, aerial surveillance and other intelligence, to limit civilian casualties in the strike.

"The Hamas terror organization systematically violates international law, brutally exploiting civilian institutions and the population as a human shield for terror activity," the military said.

In recent months, dozens of airstrikes have been carried out against Hamas sites embedded within schools and other sites used as shelters for civilians, according to the IDF.

The IDF also announced on Wednesday that recent airstrikes in Gaza had killed two Hamas gunnies who participated in the October 7 onslaught, one of whom was involved in guarding Cpl. Noa Marciano, an kidnapped soldier who was killed by Hamas at Shifa Hospital and whose body was recovered in November.

A separate dronezap recently killed Ayman Khaled Ahmed Abu al-Yahni, who the IDF said was a member of Hamas’s elite Nukhba force and was involved in attacking the Erez Crossing during the October 7 onslaught, the military announced.

-Land of the Free
Jan. 6 convicts greeted with cheers: ‘There’s a patriot!’
[WashingtonExaminer] When Nashville real estate broker and one-time House candidate Stewart Parks was convicted on Jan. 6 riot charges of trespassing and theft and sentenced to eight months in the Memphis Federal Correctional Institute, he expected the worst.

"When I went in, the plan was I was just gonna keep my head down low and good time my way out," Parks, 31, said. "I wasn’t gonna tell anybody like, ’Hey, I’m Jan. 6.’"

Parks couldn’t hide his status, though, because when he was handed off to a Mexican American inmate leader to get him situated, the prison guard said, "Hey, he’s Jan. 6."

Parks told Secrets, "Right then, my thoughts were, ’Oh, my God, what’s going to happen from here? Are there going to be political opposition groups in the prison that are going to make my life hard?’"

Just the opposite happened, Parks said, in a surprising pattern that others convicted of Jan. 6 charges have experienced.

He said prisoners "welcomed me in." They made "sure I was comfortable and making sure my time in prison wasn’t going to be difficult. So, that was a real shock."

While talking politics in prison was a no-no, gang members of all colors wanted to talk to him about the 2020 election and former President Donald Trump
...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania...
. "I never had a fight or anybody, you know, put my life in danger or say anything insolent or menacing to me because of my involvement with Jan. 6," Parks said.

He said one key reason is that inmates liked Trump for approving judicial and prison reforms, including the First Step Act. Prisoners also said the Federal Bureau of Prisons ran the facilities better under Trump.

"Things were better during the Trump administration, and the inmates felt it," Parks said. In fact, it gave him and the few other inmates convicted in the Capitol riots an elevated position of sorts.

Another reason was that some felt Jan. 6 inmates were political prisoners. "They knew I didn’t belong there," Parks said.

During one walk back to his unit in the prison, he said, "Someone yelled, ’There’s a patriot, that’s a hero.’ And here I am trying to be lowkey, and I just couldn’t keep my head down because, you know, somebody was always yelling and pointing out that they were excited about me being Jan. 6, and they talked positive about the other inmates. I never once heard the inmates in the prison down anybody Jan. 6."

It was quite a different scene a year ago, when he was convicted by U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta. As with others charged in the riots to protest allegations of election fraud and the Electoral College election of President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family...
, Parks was handled like a traitor.

"In Washington, D.C., it was very hostile," he said.

Parks said he wants to appeal his conviction and is eager to see if Trump will make good on his promise to pardon nonviolent mostly peaceful Jan. 6 cases should he win in November.

Unlike some Jan. 6 convicts, Parks hasn’t changed his support for Trump or belief that the 2020 election was tampered with.

While he has returned to running his real estate business, Parks said he is also giving speeches about his experience and urging voters to stay alert for ballot and election fraud.

He believes that Trump is ahead in the polls and will win. He said that if Trump doesn’t, "there will be mass anger like Jan. 6. Yeah, it’s just the nation knows we cannot have another four years of [Vice President Kamala] Harris."

Airstrike targets key Al-Shabaab bases in Somalia
[Garowe] More than 19 al-Shabaab
... the personification of Somali state failure...
hard boyz have been killed in the latest Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
in Somalia, state media reports, noting that the operation was carried out in central regions where the hard boyz have been antagonizing locals within the area.

The airstrikes were activated in Ruunnirgood and Ceeldheer districts in the Galgadud region, where the military has been active for the last two years since the declaration of total war against al-Shabaab hard boys.

The Middle Shabelle region is one of the al-Shabaab strongholds and for the last two years, several Alshabab hard boyz have been killed by security forces. The airstrikes specifically targeted the hard boys, officials said.

"In an aerial operation, a series of airstrikes targeted al-Shabaab holy warriors in the Ruunnirgood and Ceeldheer districts, spanning the Middle Shabelle and Galgaduud regions," state media reports.

"The bombings struck multiple terrorist hideouts, resulting in significant casualties among the holy warriors and the destruction of their vehicles and safe havens," the statement further read, pledging to give further details.

Although the state media did not disclose the military teams involved, more often than not, the Somali National Army conducts such operations against al-Shabaab in the presence of the US Africa Command and the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).

Both the US Africa Command and the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia have been working closely in the elimination of al-Shabaab from strategic areas. So far, several areas have been liberated from the hard boys.

The ATMIS team is set to leave by the end of this year but a new mission dubbed African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) is set to take over. The mission shall be led by Egypt, Somalia insists.

[Garowe] Members of the Æthiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) have reportedly taken over airports in western parts of Somalia, a move that could trigger diplomatic fallout and possible war within the Horn of Africa region.

...Republic of Somaliland is an unrecognised sovereign state in the Horn of Africa, recognised internationally as a de jure part of Somalia. It is located in the southern coast of the Gulf of Aden with approximately 5.7 million residents as of 2021. The capital and largest city is Hargeisa. The government regards itself as the successor state to British Somaliland, which united from 1960 to 1991 with the Trust Territory of Somaliland (the former Italian Somaliland) to form the Somali Republic. Under the Siad Barre regime, Somaliadestroyed ninety percent of Hargeisa Per international law, once you're in, you gotta stay in, no matter how bad it smells....
, a breakaway region of Somalia, which gives it access to 20 kilometers of the Red Sea in exchange for recognition as a sovereign state.

But Somalia has strongly objected to the move, accusing Æthiopia of violation of international laws, illusory sovereignty, and territorial integrity. The matter is still pending with Somalia rejecting Ottoman Turkish-led mediation efforts, which are yet to materialize.

And on Monday, reports emerged that Æthiopian troops had reportedly taken control of all airports in the Gedo region of Somalia. Gedo region is mostly manned by Æthiopian troops working in the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).

Some of the affected airports include the strategic Luuq, Doolow, Bardere, and Garbaharey. The airports are important to the members of the diplomatic Corps, the humanitarian teams, and members of the public who prefer air transport.

This comes as Egypt is set to deploy troops to the border regions, raising tension within the Horn of Africa nation. Somalia had sought help from Egypt, which is also at loggerheads with Æthiopia over the construction of the Grand Renaissance Dam (GERD).

Over the weekend, Æthiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said "We have no desire for conflict or war". Ahmed is a Nobel Peace Prize winner of 2019 but his credentials have been suspect lately due to conflicts in his own country.

Prime Minister Abiy highlighted Æthiopia's peaceful approach towards its neighbors over the past six and a half years, emphasizing the importance of regional stability. He noted that Æthiopia's primary goals are peace, prosperity, and maintaining its illusory sovereignty.

While reaffirming the country's commitment to peace, the Prime Minister also mentioned Æthiopia's readiness to defend itself if necessary. Æthiopia is also battling internal challenges, including inter-tribal wars.

#2  An interesting development. Gedo is a Somalia province located well to the south. and it borders south-southeasternmost Ethiopia. There are, or at least there were, six refugee camps situated in Ethiopia and just across the international boundary. That Gedo has been used by diplomats, etc., is laughable. It may well be that Ethiopia is aware that Moga is so slow, the conquest of southern Somalia from the Islamists may take forever. Thus, it might be helping things along. On the other hand Ethiopia may be looking for a war. Somalia has rejected its move to create a port with Somaliland, and Ethiopia badly needs a port. But for sure, a Somalia-Ethiopia combat is a lose-lose situation.

U.S. Special Operations Commander makes frontline visit in Somalia
[Garowe] The United States has yet again reaffirmed Somalia its support in the fight against al-Shabaab
... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all of which have enough problems without them...
, a group that has terrorized locals for almost two decades, inflicting pain and suffering on innocent civilians and members of the army.
[that would be Shabaab, not US Army]
For the last two decades, the US Africa Command
[comfortably headquartered at Kelley Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany...]
has worked closely in assisting the Somali National Army (SNA) in unleashing against al-Shabaab, securing many strategic locations in the process while dismembering the turbans.

Colonel David Haskell, Special Operations Commander of the US Army, said the US shall not relent in the fight against al-Shabaab, adding that the group’s influence is waning due to strategic cooperation between local forces and friendly partners.

"US government officials expressed strong support for the operation, reaffirming their commitment to assist Somali forces in their efforts to eliminate anti-Khawarij groups," the state media reports.
Could he have misspoken there? Because it’s my understanding that Khawarij (Kharijites ) are heretics, often used to describe Wahhabis and hence Al Qaeda and ISIS-linked jihadis.
The high-ranking delegation led by Major General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhuddin, Commander of the Somali National Army, and Colonel David Haskell, Special Operations Commander of the US Army, spoke while visiting the Middle Shabelle region.

The delegation engaged in strategic discussions with local army officers, focusing on plans to eradicate Khawarij forces of Evil from the region. Major General Muhuddin emphasized the importance of preparedness and collaboration with local communities in the fight against terrorism, state media notes.

The United States Army trains the elite Danab commandos who are critical in the fight against al-Shabaab turbans. The group still controls large swathes of rural central and southern regions of the country, but the army has managed to liberate several strategic areas.

Somalia: Govt troops intercept Al-Shabaab supplies
[Garowe] Security forces in Somalia have intercepted al-Shabaab
... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa...
supplies in the northern parts of the country, officials said, in the latest crackdown which was conducted by the Somali National Army (SNA) stationed within the porous region in the country.

According to reports, security forces in the Mudug region intercepted a vehicle destined for al-Shabaab territories with supplies. The snuffies have been sneaking into military-active regions where operations are being undertaken by security forces.

The vehicle, loaded with food and fuel, was stopped on its way to Dumaye and Dabalo, key areas under al-Shabaab control. The driver and multiple suspects were apprehended, officials said, adding that a thorough probe has been activated.

The vehicle and suspects originated from Galkacyo, within the same region, officials added. The al-Shabaab has been fighting to take over the fragile UN-backed federal government of Somalia, but military operations have put them at bay.

Mudug's police command has initiated an investigation, with legal proceedings to follow for the detained individuals. The al-Shabaab collects taxes from business people and innocent civilians to run their operations across the country.

According to reports, the group collects up to $130 million annually with $24 million used for the purchase of weapons. The remaining amount is used to pay fighters and plan logistics for the hard boys, who control large swathes of rural central and southern regions.

Megyn Kelly Rips Debate Moderators For Joining Kamala Harris
[American Liberty] Shortly after predicting the end of legacy media, former Fox Host Megyn Kelly found herself vindicated following the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. She blasted moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis for what she described as a partisan hack job that completely abandoned their responsibilities as independent parties in a critical conversation designed to help voters make informed decisions in November.

Kelly went on to assert that Muir and Davis were debating Trump alongside Harris, and trying to help her win.

The Daily Caller reports:

Sirius XM's Megyn Kelly scolded ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis for "trying to steal" the 2024 presidential election during the debate Tuesday between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

Trump took to Truth Social after Tuesday night's debate in Philadelphia and accused ABC News of teaming up against him with Harris. Kelly expressed the same view that the moderators and Harris debated Trump "three on one," blasting the network and the media industry for what she says is pro-Democrat bias.

Kelly dismissed what Democrats have called a "victory" as a fluke engineered by the moderators.

Europe
Germany will soon start checks along its 9 land borders
[NPR] Next week, Germany will start introducing checks along all nine of - all of its nine land borders. Leaders want to reduce what they call irregular migration. NPR's Central Europe correspondent Rob Schmitz reports.

ROB SCHMITZ, BYLINE: Germany is located in the heart of Europe's Schengen Area, a border-free zone that typically guarantees the free movement of more than 425 million Europeans. But German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser says so many migrants who don't have legal status in Germany are now arriving each year that introducing checks inside this typically open border area is necessary.

(SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED RECORDING)

NANCY FAESER: (Speaking German).

SCHMITZ: "Until the EU is able to bolster its external borders under the new Common European Asylum System," said Faeser, "we must strengthen our national borders." Faeser said Germany has already rejected more than 30,000 people at its borders over the past year. Still, there have been problems deporting migrants who don't legally reside in the country.

Last month, a Syrian migrant who should have been deported two years ago killed three people and injured eight others in a knife attack at a festival in the city of Solingen. Elections in the German states of Saxony and Thuringen soon after the attack delivered an electoral boost to the right-wing nationalist AfD Party, which campaigns on tougher immigration policy.

(SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED RECORDING)

ALICE WEIDEL: (Speaking German).

SCHMITZ: This week, the co-chair of the AfD, Alice Weidel, said that her party wants to put a stop to the, quote, "murders, rapes and stabbings" on German streets. That is why, she said, Germany needs a new immigration policy that voters will not get from other parties. Weidel is partly in campaign mode. On September 22, the German state of Brandenburg, which surrounds Berlin, will hold its election, and the AfD is leading in the polls. Germany's tighter border controls go into effect next Monday.

Did Someone Leak the Debate Questions to Kamala Harris?
[Townhall] It's a fair question. Why? Because it’s happened before. It’s not some tin foil hat, pie-in-the-sky conspiracy theory: Democrats hired by major news networks have fed debate questions to their party’s presidential nominees. While many analyses and polls are being discussed about the ABC News debate on Tuesday, what about the possibility that Harris got the questions in advance?

To tee this up, let’s not forget that Donna Brazile gave the Clinton campaign the questions before the CNN debate:

Former Democratic National Committee interim chair Donna Brazile acknowledged sending town hall topics to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, calling it a "mistake I will forever regret."

Brazile wrote in an essay for Time magazine that she shared potential topics for a CNN town hall with the Clinton campaign in her role as a Democratic operative and the DNC vice chair.

"My job was to make all our Democratic candidates look good, and I worked closely with both campaigns to make that happen," she wrote. "But sending those emails was a mistake I will forever regret."

WikiLeaks posted emails from Brazile to the Clinton campaign that tipped it off that a woman from Flint, Michigan, would ask Clinton about the situation there for a town hall. Brazile also told the campaign that Clinton would be asked about the death penalty at a separate town hall.

CNN dropped Brazile as a contributor after the revelations. When the email alerting the Clinton campaign about the death penalty question was released, Brazile suggested the documents were "misinformation."

How about a debate where the candidates each submit 5 questions? At the start of the debate.

The questions are not of a personal nature, because this isn't "The View".

The questions are strictly related to how either of the 2 would handle important government situations. Like civil rights, border control, budget controls, taxes, etc. Then themselves explain why they handled each the way they did, while in office, or would if in office.

Allowing a followup comment when each is finished.

Debate Monitors Deliver Great News for Trump With Independents, Devastating News for Harris

[Red State] There's a lot of palaver about who won the presidential debate on Tuesday, both in terms of style and substance.

But ultimately, the person who "wins" isn't the person who can make the most weird faces or have the greatest throwaway line. It's the person who can get the undecideds and the independents

The problem for Kamala Harris is that she had a need to define herself, unlike President Donald Trump. What the independent voters wanted to hear was how Harris is different than Joe Biden, whose policies they have not liked, and what are her policies for the future?

As I noted in a couple of my earlier stories about folks in the CBS and Reuters focus groups, the voters didn't feel they got those answers. CNN also tracked that Trump actually gained points on the most important issue for people, leading her by 20 points on the economy, 23 points on immigration, and six on leadership as commander-in-chief.

1) Trump came off looking like an angry old man. Well, they tried to kill him. I'd be pissed off too but it's not the way to win an election.

2) ABC was most definitely interjecting Democrat propaganda with their real time "fact checking" of almost everything Trump said. But who is checking the checkers?

New study finds associations between use of skin care products and exposure to potential developmental toxicants
[Geo Mason Univ} Use of skin care products is associated with exposure to phthalates and phthalate-replacement chemicals in young children, according to the new and first-of-its-kind study at George Mason University's College of Public Health.

A new study led by primary investigator Michael S. Bloom, professor in the Department of Global and Community Health at George Mason’s College of Public Health, has found that use of skin care products including lotions, hair oils, hair conditioners, ointments, and sunscreen is associated with higher levels of phthalates in children’s urine. The associations depend in part upon the child’s racial and ethnic identity and their sex as assigned at birth. The study was co-authored by two George Mason Master of Public Health alumni, Juliana Clark and Kelly Garcia.

"This is the first study to suggest that different skin care products used by young children may differentially increase exposure to endocrine-disrupting phthalates and phthalate replacements in young children," said Bloom.

Phthalates and phthalate-replacement compounds are endocrine-disrupting chemicals, meaning they may interfere with the body’s hormones. Exposure to these chemicals in early childhood has been associated with neurodevelopmental, reproductive, and metabolic disease concerns in previous studies. Some of these chemicals are often used as carriers for the active ingredients in skin care products; others may be used in plastic packaging.

For the exposed kids, "higher levels of phthalates in children’s urine" suggests said chemicals are being excreted and not retained.

Biden Dons Trump Hat
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] President Joe Biden briefly sported one of former President Donald Trump's red MAGA hats in a move the White House said was to show 'bipartisan unity.'

Biden, Trump and Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, attended multiple 9/11 commemoration ceremonies Wednesday - a day after Trump and Harris first met on the debate stage.

During a chat with firefighters in Shanksville, Pennsylvania - where United Flight 93 crashed - Biden was briefly captured wearing a bright red Trump hat.

Biden's move came 24 hours after he raised eyebrows by saying he would 'do 9/11' as he left the White House for New York on Tuesday night.

'At the Shanksville Fire Station, President Joe Biden spoke about the country's bipartisan unity after 9/11 and said we needed to get back to that,' White House spokesperson Andrew Bates posted to X. 'As a gesture, he gave a hat to a Trump supporter who then said that in the same spirit, POTUS should put on his Trump cap.'

'He briefly wore it,' Bates added.

Police Audio, Report Confirm Haitian Goose-Hunting In Ohio: ‘They All Had Geese In Their Hands’
[Federalist] A recording of a police phone call obtained by The Federalist reveals a local resident reporting a group of Haitian migrants carrying four geese in Springfield, Ohio two weeks ago.

"I’m sitting here, I’m riding on the trail, I’m going to my orientation for my job today, and I see a group of Haitian people, there was about four of ’em, they all had geese in their hand," the caller tells the public services dispatcher in the audio recording of the call.

According to a police report reviewed by The Federalist, the call was placed on Aug. 26, before the Columbus suburb located roughly 50 miles from the state capital became nationally known this week for epitomizing the nation’s migrant crisis. The caller told the dispatcher he saw four migrants in total, two men and two women, each carrying a single goose.

"I was trying to get my phone out and I was trying to make it to this orientation on time," the caller continued. "I’m time crunching here, and I saw that, I’m like, ’Yeah this has got to be reported," he tells the non-emergency police dispatcher.

"How many geese did they have?" the dispatcher asks the caller in the recording.

"Uh, they each had one," he replies.

Europe
'The sooner we bring in border controls the better!': EU civil war over Germany's migrant plan continues as Geert Wilders vows to copy it for the Netherlands and Hungary welcomes Berlin to the '#stopmigration club'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Civil war has broken out in Europe over Germany's new plans to introduce strict border controls - with populist leaders giving their support for similar measures.

Yesterday Germany's government presented rigorous rules on asylum that would see more people turned away at its frontiers, a day after it announced it would start carrying out controls on all its land borders.

While Germany risks alienating the Left with its hardened stance on migration, Dutch politician Geert Wilders vowed to copy the plan for the Netherlands. And Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán shared his support for the measures, welcoming Germany to the so-called #StopMigration club.

The centre-Left German government has also begun exploring strict measures on immigration, including a plan to send asylum seekers to Rwanda for processing, in the wake of high arrivals of migrants from the Middle East and Ukraine.

The so-called 'traffic light coalition' looks to shore up support from voters after the far-right AfD made gains earlier this month as concerns grow over a spate of isolated Islamist attacks in recent months.

Mr Wilders, who triumphed in the 2023 Dutch general election to see his far-right PVV party become the largest in the House of Representatives, backed the policy proposal. He has struggled to gain support within the Netherlands and stepped back from his bid for prime minister in March, citing a lack of support from potential coalition partners, but has found a receptive audience through his staunch position on immigration.

He expressed support for a similar policy to Germany's within the Netherlands, writing: 'If Germany can do it, why can't we? As far as I'm concerned: the sooner, the better.'

Both the far-Right PVV and the Right-wing Liberal VDD parties have shown interest in greater border checks in line with those recently announced by Germany. Migration minister Majolein Faber has already asked military police to begin preparations.

'In the meantime, we are talking to Germany about working together,' she said on social media.

Hungary, surrounded by mountains, has brought in strict policies to limit migration under Orbán - a move the EU has pushed back on, fining Hungary 200 million euros (£170mn) in June after it failed to make changes. Under current legislation, people can only submit requests for asylum outside Hungary's borders, at its embassies in neighbouring Serbia or Ukraine. Those who try to cross the border are routinely pushed back.

Post-election polls suggest asylum and migration are the two key issues for Germans nationwide, and that support for the party is genuine - rather than a protest vote - piling pressure on the coalition government to act.

But Germany's neighbours have already criticised plans to introduce temporary controls into the passport-free Schengen zone.

Donald Tusk, the Polish Prime Minister, said that Germany was acting unilaterally and unfairly in its 'unacceptable' plans that risked breaking European law. He said Germany had introduced a 'de facto suspension of the Schengen agreement on a large scale' in its bid to confront what German interior minister Nancy Faeser called 'irregular migration'.

But Austria has shown support for the checks. In a televised debate ahead of the parliamentary election on September 29, Chancellor Karl Nehammer told national broadcaster ORF that if Germany introduced measures to send more immigrants back across their shared border, Austria would do the same, sending more people eastwards towards the Balkans.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz pledged to 'examine' the case for an overseas asylum processing centre in November last year. He insisted any scheme would be 'in compliance with the Geneva Convention on Refugees and the European Convention on Human Rights.'

But Scholz also recognised plans would be fraught with 'a whole series of legal questions'.

A spokesperson for the Rwandan government welcomed the suggestion, saying they were 'happy to work with anyone on this who shared their desire to find a long-term solution to the migration issue'.
"Give us money"
But the move risks fracturing Germany's 'traffic light coalition'. Within Germany, the Greens, centre-left SPD and liberal FDP fiercely oppose the Rwanda proposals as being both illegal and costly.

'Even if we went ahead with it, it would mean the whole asylum system in Germany – and other European Union countries – would be dependent on one dictator in Rwanda,' Erik Marquardt, an MEP with the Green Party, told i.

'Basically, the EU would be in the hands of [President Paul] Kagame.'

'The problem is not migration. It's Islamism,' Mr Marquardt told i.

'Our approach is to try to find solutions. And the idea that there is one easy solution through just one measure, like sending people to Rwanda, is simply wrong.

'It is basically populism, and it was the same in the UK; the British government decided to put this populism into laws, and it was a big waste of money.'

Poland, while critical of the border checks, shares the claim that Russia has weaponised migration, encouraging asylum seekers to cross over into central Europe with attempted illegal border crossings from Belarus on the rise.

Kirby: 'No use in responding' to a 'handful of vets' on Biden's botched Afghan withdrawal
[FoxNews] On the anniversary of 9/11, White House National Security Council communications adviser John Kirby
“Communications is my specialty!”
dismissed the concerns of military veterans critical of the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, writing in response to a Fox News Digital press inquiry that there's "no use" weighing in on the veterans' views.

"Obviously no use in responding. A ‘handful’ of vets indeed and all of one stripe," Kirby said in a "reply all" email chain Wednesday afternoon that appeared to be intended for White House staffers, but which also included Fox News Digital.

Fox News Digital had reached out to the White House earlier Wednesday afternoon regarding critical comments from four veterans, including Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., who blasted Kirby for his Monday press conference that they said provided "cover" for the Biden administration's 2021 withdrawal.

Included in that initial reachout were quotes from the four veterans, and Fox News Digital asked the White House if it had any comment to include on the vets' blistering criticisms of Kirby and the White House's handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal. The email chain was forwarded to White House staffers on the National Security Council, before Kirby replied to all on the chain that there's "no use in responding."

Kirby's message was sent in error, with him following up with a Fox News Digital reporter, "Clearly, I didn’t realize you were on the chain."
Clearly.
Kirby sent the email while traveling with President Biden on the anniversary of 9/11.

Three on one. Who really won the Trump and Harris debates
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Malek Dudakov
The view from Russia. Remember as you read this, dear Reader, that Russian president Vladimir Putin publicly endorsed Kamala Harris.
[REGNUM] The second presidential debate of this election season took place in the United States. The list of participants has changed. If Donald Trump and Joe Biden were at the first debate, now the latter has been replaced by Kamala Harris. But that is not the only way the events were different.

Compared to the June debates, there was a palpable sense that Democrats were going all out to defeat Trump.

The Trump-Biden debate on CNN was surprisingly well-organized — the host was fair and the questions were polite. That certainly can't be said about the latest debate.

The ABC moderators, on whose air they were broadcast, were too obviously playing along with Harris. They tried to fact-check any of Trump's statements in real time. At the same time, many of Harris's outright false comments went unnoticed and "fact-checked."

Under these conditions, Trump had to debate three people at once: Harris and both hosts.

In general, such a biased attitude was predicted earlier. After all, ABC's media agenda is already 93% positive towards Harris and 100% negative towards Trump. But the latter could have hoped that the moderators would still try to maintain the illusion of objectivity. In the end, this did not happen.

Well, Harris tried to constantly press Trump, presenting herself as an “aggressive prosecutor” who is trying to punish a “criminal.” That’s how her campaign likes to call Trump, even though the latter has managed to successfully fight off judicial pressure from Democratic prosecutors.

During the debates, Trump was forced to constantly respond to Harris' accusations that he was a threat to democracy in the United States.

In turn, Trump himself tried to present Harris as responsible for all the crises that the US is currently facing. Like the rise in inflation, the growth of unemployment in recent months, the influx of migrants, or the rampant crime. And on the external frontier – with the unresolved Middle East crisis and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Kamala was very nervous and clearly overacted her role.

She also constantly made very strange faces in response to any attacks from Trump. But what cannot be denied is that Harris really made an effort and memorized the speech instructions. True, she often answered them inappropriately and not to the questions asked by the hosts.
Oh dear.
The strategy of Harris's campaign was to distance themselves in every possible way from the sad legacy of the Biden era, since there is nothing to be proud of there. Not to say anything about their program, which de facto does not exist. Only on the very eve of the debates did some abstract program appear on Harris's presidential campaign website, and it is a set of general phrases for everything good against everything bad. And thirdly, to devote the debates to criticizing the platform with which Trump is going into the elections.

In general, the thread of the discussion should have been around Trump’s “radicalism,” and not the failures of the Democrats in recent years or the figure of Harris.

This strategy was partly implemented. Trump had to justify himself more often than Harris. And it was clear that he was even surprised by the pressure from Harris that he had to face.

Harris was keen to scare voters with the “horrors” that would await them if Trump won. The tariffs he promised would lead to higher inflation, abortion would be banned, and attacks on ethnic and sexual minorities would intensify. US opponents around the world would strengthen their positions, and Russia would gain the upper hand over Ukraine.

Harris could not offer any reform plan of her own, and she did not want to. Her entire speech was based on the negative – criticism of Trump. And the latter tried to remind Americans how much worse their lives had become during the four years that the Democrats had been in power. And Trump assured voters that with Harris as president, things inside the US would get even worse than they are now.

There were even some completely ridiculous moments when the candidates began to seriously measure each other by the size of the rallies they were holding. Both Trump and Harris are holding multi-thousand rallies of their supporters. However, on the eve of the debates, a scandal broke out about Harris deliberately transporting the same volunteers to her rallies on buses.

Trump was still proud of the fact that he survived the assassination attempt. And he indirectly blamed Harris and other Democrats for what happened, who turned the state machine against him.

Kamala could only laugh nervously in response. She similarly tried to ignore any questions about why Harris changed her views so often. She was for accepting migrants, now she was supposedly against it. She used to support fracking, the extraction of shale oil and gas, now she apparently doesn’t.

But overall, Harris was more successful in achieving what she wanted — she avoided the silly blunders and mistakes that she often makes during public appearances. Kamala, on the other hand, was able to prevent Trump from achieving the confident victory he achieved in the June debate with Biden.

That doesn't mean Harris won. It was a draw, really.

But for the Democrats, even this scenario is not the worst. After all, they were preparing for the worst - that Trump would steamroll Harris. In the end, through their tricks, memorized answers and endless bickering, as well as a refusal to answer questions seriously, they managed to partially hide the weaknesses of Harris's candidacy.

After the fact, scandals began to flare up about Harris allegedly using an earpiece during the debates, into which she was prompted with answers. Therefore, she did not suffer from her usual tongue-tiedness. Such dishonest tricks are quite in the spirit of Democrats who are trying to squeeze the maximum out of the debates for themselves and their presidential campaign.

It was not for nothing that Harris officially supported Taylor Swift immediately after the event. The singer did not perform at the Democratic Party convention and only posted an appeal on social networks calling for voting for Kamala. But this was done now, in order to somehow maximize the effect of the debates.

In a fit of elation, Harris's campaign immediately proposed holding another debate. However, it is not a given that they will take place, given the Trump campaign's obvious dissatisfaction with the moderators' bias. Choosing a new venue will not be easy. This has dealt a severe blow to the reputation of the institution of presidential debates, whose future remains unclear.

The question of the debates' audience and their effect on the presidential race also remains open.

The June debates literally derailed Biden's presidential campaign. Don't expect the same effect now.

Fewer and fewer Americans are watching the debates. In 2016, the audience for the Trump-Clinton debate exceeded 80 million. In 2020, 70 million watched the Trump-Biden debate. But this year, the debates attracted only 50-60 million viewers — only one-fifth of the total number of American adults of 260 million.
I admit to being one of those who did not watch. I chose to do articles for Rantburg instead.
Harris's ratings have been trending downward since late August. Her honeymoon is over, and her lead over Trump is rapidly closing.

If Harris had lost the debates in a landslide, her campaign would have been on the verge of collapse. The Democrats managed to avoid that. But whether they can regain the initiative now is still in question. Harris did not lose the debates – but she did not win either. So in the end, it may turn out that the effect of the debates on the election results will be insignificant.

The case of a participant in the attack by Basayev's militants on Dagestan has reached court
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The case of Stavropol resident Rustam Yarbuldyev, whom investigators believe to have participated in the attack by Basayev's militants on Dagestan, has been referred to court.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, in June 2023, the FSB reported the detention of Rustam Yarbuldyev in Stavropol Krai in connection with the attack on the Botlikh District of Dagestan in 1999.
When was he arrested? Spetsnaz doesn’t turn away from the hunt no matter how long it takes, it seems.
On August 7, 1999, more than a thousand armed fighters from Chechnya under the leadership of  Shamil Basayev  and Jordanian  Amir Khattab entered Dagestan. Fighting continued in the republic for more than a month. Only on September 15, 1999, Russian Defense Minister Igor Sergeyev reported that Dagestan had been completely liberated, according to the "Kavkazsky Uzel" report "Militant Invasion of Dagestan (1999)".

The investigation of the criminal case against Rustam Yarbuldyev, a native and resident of the Neftekumsky District of Stavropol Krai, has been completed. He is accused of participating in a gang, armed rebellion and attempted murder of military personnel, the Russian Investigative Committee reported today.

According to investigators, Yarbuldyev had been a member of a gang created by Basayev  and  Khattab since 1999, and participated in an armed rebellion in the Botlikh region of Dagestan, during which security forces were attacked. As a result, 33 servicemen were killed and another 34 were injured, according to a statement on the department's website.

The criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits, the investigation reported.

"Caucasian Knot" also wrote that Toymaskhan Adzhinyazov and Kaitarb Nasyrov, whom investigators consider to be participants in the attack on the Botlikh region of Dagestan in 1999, rejected in court the charges brought against them for mutiny and attempted murder of the military.

South Donetsk direction: liberation of Vodyanoye and storming of forest belts in the Pobeda area

– In the South Donetsk direction, Russian troops, after recently consolidating along the T-05-24 highway, crossed the road and have been storming Vodyanoye for the past few days.

– Units of the Russian Armed Forces entered the village and after two days of fighting liberated the settlement. Later, footage of the raising of flags in the center and on the outskirts of the settlement was published.

– The enemy is consolidating its positions in the plantings and surrounding areas of the Yuzhnodonbasskaya mine No. 3, preparing it for defense. According to some reports, Russian troops have also taken control of the industrial zone of the Stroydetal plant and the adjacent dachas.

- To the south, the stormtroopers hoisted a flag on the privateer of the Yuzhnodonbasskaya mine No. 1. In the video, the fighters were standing at full height, so the presence of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the nearby waste heap is unlikely. At the moment, the territory of the mine complex is being cleared and infantry groups are being consolidated at the achieved lines.

- At the same time, the Russian Armed Forces are attacking from Pavlovka to the north, bypassing Ugledar from the flank. The advance group managed to cross the Kashgalach River on motorcycles, where it came under fire from Ukrainian formations. At the moment, the outcome of the battle is unknown.

To seize the Russian drilling rig, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine sent a naval landing force of fourteen American Willard "Sea Force" boats with servicemen of the special operations forces of the Ukrainian Navy.

During the battle, the Black Sea Fleet and Russian servicemen carrying out the task of guarding and defending the drilling rig sank eight naval boats and destroyed up to eighty Ukrainian special operations forces servicemen.

Six more Ukrainian boats retreated without even attempting to pick up the wounded Ukrainian servicemen remaining in the water.

The latest “media operation” of the Kyiv regime in the Black Sea, timed to coincide with the arrival of high-ranking representatives of the United States and European countries in Ukraine on September 11, was drowned in blood and took the lives of many dozens of Ukrainian servicemen.

#8  The Russians used to be experts at crossing rivers. Their skill has atrophied since WWII and the fall of the Soviet Union, but they still have damn good equipment. And in all honesty I would be suspect of the US's ability to ford a river under fire. It just isn't a skill that has been needed since 1990.

After lots of pontoon losses, the Russians will learn and then they will put them up faster then they can be destroyed. I think Ukraine missed the window to bag the units trapped behind the river. Been too long.

Algerian opposition candidates legally challenge provisional results of presidential polls
It's traditional...
[AFRICANEWS] The two opposition candidates who ran in Algeria's presidential race legally challenged on Tuesday (Sep. 10) the provisional result while harshly rebuking election officials and disputing the vote count.

Islamist Abdellali Hassani Cherif and socialist Youcef Aouchiche filed appeals with Algeria's Constitutional Court, taking the first step required to challenge the results of the election, which incumbent President Abdelmadjid Tebboune won with a 94.7% share of the vote.

Algerian law provides the court 10 days from the announcement of provisional election results to rule on the appeals. A verdict could require the election authority to recalculate each candidate’s totals without calling into question Tebboune’s victory.

A day before lodging their appeals, both candidates took aim at Mohammed Charfi, the President of Algeria’s National Independent Electoral Authority (ANIE).

"President Tebboune didn’t need this stuffing. We knew he’d be reelected, but with these results, ANIE hasn’t done him any favors," Cherif said. "We want our votes — the votes of the people who voted for us — to be returned to us. I know it won’t change the outcome of the vote, but it will go down in history."

Meanwhile,
...back at the precinct house, Fat Tony demanded his rosco back. He didn't say please...
Aouchiche held a news conference where his campaign manager showed graphics that he said proved the results had been distorted and called the outcome a "shameful and gross manipulation."

"These results, which do not correspond at all to the number of votes communicated to us by the regional delegations of the same ANIE, are a disgrace for the Algeria of 2024, taking us back to the 1970s," he said, referencing a time when the country's only legal political party ran its chosen candidate unopposed.

Britain Allows Ukraine to Fire Storm Shadow Missiles at Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The UK authorities have approved Ukraine's strikes deep into Russia with long-range Storm Shadow missiles. The Guardian newspaper wrote about this on September 11.

“Sources in the British government said that a decision had already been made to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles against targets in Russia,” the article stated.

It is claimed that there will be no public announcement about this at the meeting between British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and US President Joe Biden in Washington on Friday, September 12.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, permission for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to use long-range Storm Shadow missiles to strike deep into Russia would involve the US and Great Britain in a full-scale war, said British politician and Heritage Party leader David Kurten. He called for preventing such a development.

Former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter believes that Ukraine could cease to exist if the Kiev regime attempts to strike at Moscow or St. Petersburg.

Ukrainian militants are using weapons supplied by their allies to strike Russia even without official permission from the West. At the end of August, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for the Crimes of the Kiev Regime Rodion Miroshnik stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have repeatedly used American ATACMS missiles and French-British Storm Shadow cruise missiles to strike Russia. This cannot be done without Western satellites and guidance systems, Miroshnik specified.

In May, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that it is impossible to strike Russian territory with long-range precision weapons without space reconnaissance assets. Representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance countries, speaking about such a possibility, must be aware of what they are dealing with, the head of state emphasized.

Zakharova: New arms deliveries to Ukraine are fraught with uncontrolled escalation

New deliveries of Western weapons to Ukraine are fraught with uncontrolled escalation, the West does not yet understand this, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova at a briefing on September 11.

"The West apparently doesn't care anymore what will happen to Ukraine and Ukrainians. But it probably hasn't dawned on them yet that this is fraught with an uncontrollable escalation," she said.

On September 10, at another meeting in the Ramstein format in Germany, the head of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, called on NATO countries to increase supplies of air defense systems and long-range missiles. He added that there are enough air defense systems in the world, and Western allies need to be more active with Ukraine in this area.

On the same day, Pentagon Press Secretary Patrick Ryder said that the priority of US military support will remain providing Ukraine with air defense systems for a long time. He emphasized that the United States is aimed at satisfying not only Kiev's immediate needs, but also its long-term ones.

Russia has repeatedly called on Western countries to refrain from providing military aid to the Kiev regime. As President Vladimir Putin emphasized in March, no weapons can change the course of the special operation.

Boris Rozhin: On the supply of long-range missiles to Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Text by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin;

[ColonelCassad] Expert of the Center for Military-Political Journalism, author of the Telegram channel @boris_rozhin Boris Rozhin

While the United States has either allowed, or has not allowed, or is about to allow the use of long-range missiles on Russian territory, it is high time to speculate on what options there may be. From my point of view, this is a strategic inevitability caused by the West's desire to turn the tide of the war in Ukraine, since the Ukrainian Armed Forces are inexorably losing territory, personnel, and equipment. Having consistently gone through all the stages of the escalation track, the United States and NATO have come close to the next step, namely, strikes deep into Russia from Ukrainian territory.

Since 2022, I have been confident that everything below the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons can and will be used in Ukraine. The West considers the sovereign policy of the Russian Federation an existential threat to the late Washington world order, and it will try to eliminate this threat by any means necessary. Therefore, the approach to the brink of a nuclear war with direct strikes against Russia fits perfectly into this paradigm. It is important to understand that the enemy is not thinking about how to end the war through negotiations, but about how to win it by military and other means. Not to understand this means being a prisoner of illusions about the enemy's intentions.

The US is confident that Moscow will not use nuclear weapons in this case either, and if so, then there is no reason not to shell Russian territory from Ukrainian territory, causing Russia various damage. Therefore, the question of transferring such missiles (and it is quite possible that they have already been delivered and are awaiting political approval, as was the case with the deliveries of missiles for HIMARS, ATACMS, Storm Shadow) is most likely not worth it, since the missiles are probably already on Ukrainian territory.

Of course, a significant portion of long-range missiles (https://russian.rt.com/ussr/news/1367301-ukraina-atacms-rashod) will be shot down, as HIMARS, ATACMS, Storm Shadow, SCALP-EG missiles and so on are shot down. But some percentage may reach their targets, and we must be prepared for this.

We must prepare for these attacks in advance by implementing measures to disperse aircraft, disaggregate ammunition depots, and ensure the security of headquarters and command posts, as was done in the case of the threat from other long-range enemy weapons. Of course, it is necessary to continue to build up the capabilities of operational-tactical and object air defense, including in the context of combating long-range missiles of Western manufacture.

Will these missiles change the overall dynamics of hostilities in Ukraine? No, they will not. Just as the deliveries of the same ATACMS or the deliveries of F-16 aircraft did not change it. Of course, despite any damage that the enemy will try to inflict, the Russian Armed Forces will continue offensive operations in Ukraine, and targets on its territory will be subjected to increasingly powerful fire damage.

Autumn will be hot.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Jamaa Islamiya resumes rocket attacks on Israel
[An Nahar] Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel.
’s Jamaa Islamiya said Monday that its military wing fired a volley of rockets at Israel’s Beit Hillel military post in the Kiryat Shmona settlement, resuming military action from Lebanon against Israel after several months of apparent suspension.

The group said its attack came after Israel escalated "its aggression against our people and villages in the South and in support of our people in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
and Paleostine as part of the national and humanitarian duties."

Several groups allied to Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
have exchanged near-daily fire with Israeli forces along Lebanon's southern border since war erupted in the Gaza Strip following Hamas's October 7 attacks on southern Israel.

The groups say they are acting in solidarity with Hamas and Paleostinians in the Gaza Strip.

Jamaa Islamiya has carried out "joint operations with Hamas" in Lebanon, according to an official from the small Sunni Moslem movement.

"All forces that operate in south Lebanon coordinate their actions," Ali Abu Yassin, head of Jamaa Islamiya's political bureau, told AFP in March.

The group announced the death of seven of its medics in an Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
in south Lebanon that month and Israel has carried out drone liquidations of several of its commanders.

Mohanad Hage Ali, from the Carnegie Middle East Center, said Jamaa Islamiya was "operating as an extension of Hamas in Lebanon," describing the two movements' relationship as "organic."

Hage Ali says Jamaa Islamiya has "around 500 gunnies" but has played only a "marginal political role" in Lebanon with just one politician in the national parliament.

Jamaa Islamiya and Hamas both come from the same ideological school as the Moslem Brüderbund, a Sunni Islamist group with origins in Egypt.

4 Migrants dead, others missing after boat capsizes off Senegal
[AFRICANEWS] A boat carrying migrants colonists capsized off the coast of Senegal
... a nation of about 14 million on the west coast of Africa bordering Mauretania to the north, Mali to the east, and a pair of Guineas to the south, one of them Bissau. It is 90 percent Mohammedan and has more than 80 political parties. Its primary purpose seems to be absorbing refugees...
over the weekend, leaving at least four people dead and several others missing, local authorities said on Monday.

The artisanal fishing boat left the town of Mbour, nearly 80 kilometers (50 miles) south of the capital, Dakar heading to Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
on Sunday afternoon before capsizing a few miles off the coast, Amadou Diop, the district's prefect told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named.

Local fishermen rescued three people who were brought back to shore by naval authorities.

Senegal’s navy is looking for those missing, Diop said, adding that the exact number of passengers remained unknown.

In recent years, the number of migrants colonists leaving West Africa through Senegal has surged with many fleeing conflict, poverty and the lack of job opportunities. Most head to the Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago off the coast of West Africa, which is used as a stepping stone to continental Europe.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 22,300 people have landed on the Canary Islands, 126% more than the same period last year, according to statistics released by Spain’s Interior Ministry.

Sudanese Army general vows swift victory with new weapons
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
ese Army vowed on Tuesday that his forces were poised for a swift victory against the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, thanks to the acquisition of new advanced weaponry.

Lt. Gen. Yasir al-Atta made the remarks during a visit to the Third Infantry Division headquarters in Shindi, in River Nile State, where he inspected troops and assessed the situation on the front lines.
[it's good for the big boys to give pep talks when they visit the field]
''New, sophisticated weapons have entered the battle,'' he told the soldiers. ''They will make a big difference and will help us destroy the militia soon.''
[cause you can't do shit with what you've got now]
General al-Atta also said that the army would soon launch an offensive from all directions to ''liberate every inch'' of Sudanese territory.

''The end of the militia is near, and the hour of victory is approaching,'' he said.

The general accused the RSF of trying to settle mercenaries from West African countries in Sudan, and he called on the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
to prevent countries from supplying the group with weapons and other aid.
[like he is getting]

The Sudanese government has rejected recommendations from a U.N. fact-finding mission to impose an arms embargo, expand the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court and deploy a peacekeeping force to protect civilians.

Mpox: the DRC receives 50,000 vaccines from the USA
[AFRICANEWS] Congolese authorities said that 50,000 doses of smallpox vaccine from the United States arrived on Tuesday, a week after the first batch arrived from the European Union.

Adults in Equateur, South Kivu and Sankuru, the three provinces most affected, will be vaccinated first, starting on October 2, Cris Kacita Osako, coordinator of the Congolese Committee for the Fight against Monkeypox, told the Associated Press.

Last week, the first batch of smallpox vaccine arrived in the capital of Congo, the center of the epidemic. The 100,000 doses of JYNNEOS vaccine, manufactured by the Danish company Bavarian Nordic, were donated by the European Union through HERA, the Union's agency for health emergencies. A further 100,000 doses were delivered over the weekend.

The 50,000 doses from the USA will be of the same JYNNEOS vaccine.

These 250,000 doses represent only a fraction of the three million doses which, according to the authorities, are needed to put an end to the smallpox epidemics in Congo, the epicenter of the global health emergency. EU countries have pledged to donate a further 500,000 doses, but the timetable for their delivery is unclear.

Since the start of 2024, 5,549 cases of smallpox have been confirmed on the continent, with 643 associated deaths,
[that's an epidemic?]
representing a sharp increase in the number of infections and deaths compared with previous years.Cases in Congo accounted for 91% of the total. Most smallpox cases in Congo and Burundi, the second most affected country, involve children under the age of 15.
[What happened 15 years ago...Oh yeah, Obama]
Last week, the African Centre for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization launched a continent-wide response plan to the smallpox epidemic, three weeks after the WHO declared epidemics in 12 African countries a global emergency.

From the CDC:
JYNNEOS vaccine is approved and recommended by CDC and ACIP for the prevention of mpox and smallpox. During the ongoing clade II MPXV outbreak (i.e., outbreak that began in 2022 affecting predominantly gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men), JYNNEOS has been the main vaccine used in the United States.

ACAM2000 vaccine is approved for immunization against smallpox and could be made available for use against mpox under an Expanded Access Investigational New Drug (EA-IND) protocol. In the United States, there is a large supply of ACAM2000, but this vaccine has more known side effects and contraindications.

#1  Hope it works better than the Covid vaccine, which is to say 'at all'.
I am curious about this quote "affecting predominantly gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men", wondering who exactly the third category is and how they're different from the first two. If you know, don't tell me.

US-made bombs dropped on Gaza's Al-Mawasi 'melted' bodies
[GEO.TV] A probe by Al Jazeera's Sanad agency found that Israel likely used the US-made MK 84 bombs in the attack.

Gaza officials said the 2,000 pound weapons "melted" the bodies of the victims who were in the eye of the attack.

UNRWA says 6 staffers killed in Nuseirat, where IDF struck Hamas operatives in school

[IsraelTimes] The UN Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA says six staffers were killed in Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip on Wednesday, marking what it says is the highest death toll among its staff in a single incident.

There is no immediate comment to UNRWA’s statement from the Israel Defense Forces, which earlier said it struck Hamas operatives at a command room embedded within a UN school in Nuseirat that is being used as a shelter.

Islamists make gains in Jordan vote overshadowed by Gaza war
[The Times of Israel] Jordan's Islamist opposition made significant gains in parliamentary elections, boosted by anger over Israel's war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, initial official results showed on Wednesday.

The Islamist Action Front also benefited from a new electoral law that encourages a bigger role for political parties in the 138-seat parliament, though tribal and pro-government factions will continue to dominate the assembly.

The Front, the political arm of the Moslem Brüderbund, won up to a fifth of the seats under the revamped electoral law, which for the first time allocated 41 seats for parties, according to preliminary figures seen by Rooters and confirmed by independent and official sources.

''The Jordanian people have given us their trust by voting for us. This new phase will increase the burden of responsibility for the party towards the nation and our citizens,'' Wael al Saqqa, head of the party, told Rooters.

Tuesday's vote represents a modest step in a democratization process launched by King Abdullah II as he seeks to insulate Jordan from the conflicts at its borders, and respond to demands for robust political reforms.
Update from the Times of Israel at 9:00 a.m. ET:
Jordan’s leading Islamist opposition party has won 31 out of 138 seats in the kingdom’s parliament, tripling its representation in legislative elections dominated by frustration over Israel’s war against the Hamas terror group in Gaza.

The Islamic Action Front (IAF), a political offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, came ahead of other parties and factions in the legislature after Tuesday’s vote, but was far from clinching a majority, according to official election results released on Wednesday.

The result is a historic win for the Islamists and their largest representation since the Muslim Brotherhood in 1989 gained 22 out of the 80 seats that existed then.

The IAF had 10 seats in the previous parliament elected in 2020 and 16 seats in the 2016 legislature.

The Islamists had sought to capitalize on growing anger over the ongoing war in Gaza among Jordanians, half of whom are of Palestinian origin.

Wael al Saqqa vowed that Jordanians would give Palestinians “financial and other assistance, and be their lungs in the path of liberation and achieving their right to a free state.”

The Muslim Brotherhood has been allowed to operate in Jordan since 1946. But it fell under suspicion after the Arab Spring, which saw Islamists pitted against established powers in many Arab countries.

“The elections reflect the desire for change and those who voted were not necessarily all Islamists but wanting change and had become fed up with the old ways,” Murad Adailah, the head of the Muslim Brotherhood, said.

The Islamists, the only effective grassroots opposition, praised the authorities for not meddling in polls. Adailah told Reuters their win was a “popular referendum” that backs their platform of support for the Palestinian terror group Hamas, their ideological allies, and their demand to scrap the country’s peace treaty with Israel.

The other seats in parliament went to representatives of major Jordanian tribes, leftist parties, pro-government factions, centrists, former lawmakers, and retired military officers.

Twenty-seven women won seats in the legislature, following 2022 reforms that allocated more seats for them and reduced the minimum age for candidates. That reform also expanded the number of seats from 130 to 138 and sought to strengthen the role of political parties in the legislature.

Under Jordan’s constitution, most powers still rest with the king who appoints governments and can dissolve parliament. The assembly can force a cabinet to resign by a vote of no confidence.

The monarch hopes nascent political parties under the new law will help pave the way for governments that emerge from parliamentary majorities.

The voting system still favors sparsely populated tribal and provincial regions over the densely populated cities mostly inhabited by Jordanians of Palestinian descent, which are Islamist strongholds and highly politicized.

Turnout registered 32 percent in the polls that were largely overshadowed by the Gaza war and Jordan’s economic troubles.

The war in Gaza has affected tourism to Jordan, which relies on the sector for about 14% of its gross domestic product.

Compounding the country’s economic woes, public debt has neared $50 billion and unemployment hit 21% in the first quarter of this year.

Jordan in 1994 signed a peace treaty with Israel, becoming only the second Arab state to do so after Egypt, but regular protests have called for the treaty’s dissolution since the war erupted on October 7 when Palestinian terror group Hamas led a devastating attack on southern Israel that killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians.

Israel responded with a military offensive to destroy Hamas in Gaza and free 251 hostages who were abducted by terrorists in the Hamas attack.

Oraib Rantawi, head of the Amman-based Al Quds Center for Political Studies, described the Islamists’ gains in the election as “astonishing in their magnitude.”

The Islamists won “nearly half a million votes,” a figure he said was unprecedented in their history in Jordan.

“Gaza played a major role in this,” he added, as well as a feeling among voters that other competing parties “were created in haste… to reduce the chances of success of the Islamic Action Front.”

60 100 rockets from Lebanon batter north; IDF reservist injured by anti-tank missile
[The Times of Israel] Member of Kibbutz Dan security team suffers serious injuries in attack; Israeli drone strike kills Hezbollah member, wounds another; Air Force hits Hezbollah launch sites

An Israeli reservist soldier was maimed in a Hezbollah anti-tank guided missile attack from Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
on Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces said.

It came as a barrage of dozens of around 100 rockets from Lebanon pounded areas in the north of the country.

The 39-year-old reservist, a member of Kibbutz Dan's local security team, was taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa after being hit by a missile in the community.

The medical center said he was conscious and suffering shrapnel injuries. He was taken for surgery and was listed at death's door.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Helmuth ordered the entire 614th quadrant searched. The Green Lensman must be found!...
more than 60 rockets were launched from Lebanon at northern Israel in the space of around an hour. Then in early evening, another 40 were fired.

A barrage of some 30 rockets was fired from Lebanon at the Western Galilee, impacting open areas near the community of Abirim, the IDF said. Then, another barrage of 30 rockets was fired from Lebanon at the Galilee Panhandle area, impacting open areas near Kfar Szold.

Residents of the upper and western Galilee were ordered to remain close to bomb shelters during the afternoon. There were no injuries in the rocket attacks, which apparently hit open areas.

In the second wave, the IDF said some 30 rockets were launched at the Arab al-Aramshe area, and another 10 were fired at Matat. Many of the rockets struck open areas, although some impacted Matat. There were no injuries in the attacks.

The IDF said it responded with artillery fire at a Hezbollah observation post and other targets in southern Lebanon.

The rockets and missile attack came hours after the IDF confirmed carrying out a dronezap in southern Lebanon's Mays al-Jabal, targeting two Hezbollah operatives.

One was killed and the second was maimed in the strike.

Separately, fighter jets struck a Hezbollah rocket launcher in Marimin, which had been used in previous attacks on Israel, the military said.

Another primed rocket launcher was struck in Rashaya al-Foukhar, the IDF added.

Lebanese media also reported two drone strikes in the area of Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon. There was no immediate comment from the IDF.

20:43 Blinken said that he had discussed permission to use long-range missiles with the Ukrainian leadership and would now report on the results of the talks to Biden. The US President and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will discuss this issue on Friday, September 13. Blinken also said that the US would send additional air defense systems to Ukraine in the coming weeks. In addition, the US Secretary of State said that NATO countries have made it clear that Ukraine's membership in the Alliance is inevitable and the country is on track to join.

20:02 The United States is providing Ukraine with over $700 million to overcome the consequences of Russian aggression, Blinken said. Of this amount, $325 million is allocated for repairing power grids, $290 million for humanitarian aid, and $102 million for demining.

19:16 Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina announced that the new package of military aid to Ukraine will include armored vehicles and drones, as well as the training and equipment of several thousand more Ukrainian troops.

18:55 220 Iranian Fath-360 ballistic missiles have arrived in Russia from Iran via the Caspian Sea, Sky News writes. In turn, The New York Times reports that Russia recently received new supplies of ballistic missiles from North Korea.

18:48 UK Defence Secretary John Healey said Ukraine will receive hundreds of additional air defence missiles, tens of thousands of additional artillery rounds and armoured vehicles by the end of the year.

18:43 The victory plan will be presented at the Second Peace Summit and should force Russia to end the war diplomatically, Zelensky said: "This plan must be presented at the Second Peace Summit to force Russia to end the war diplomatically. If partners support it, it will help Ukraine force Russia to end the war."

18:39 Ukraine received information about Iran's transfer of ballistic missiles to Russia from intelligence services of partner countries, Zelensky said. He added that he does not know the exact number of missiles, nor does he have information about their use: "I will be able to confirm this when there is evidence. As was the case with North Korea. We know so far about the use of a large number of Iranian drones. As for the use of Iranian missiles, there are no other details yet."

18:35 The SBU has announced suspicion against Russian Lieutenant General Konstantin Stepanishchev, deputy commander of the 6th Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation, who planned a "blitzkrieg" to capture Kharkov.

18:32 The British government said it would provide £242 million ($315 million) to Ukraine for urgent humanitarian, energy and stabilisation needs, as well as to support reform, recovery and reconstruction. The funds will be provided over 2024-2025.

London will also provide $484 million in loan guarantees through the World Bank by the end of the year. The funds will be used to fund vital public services, including schools and hospitals, civil servants’ salaries and pensions. This is the second part of a total of $3 billion in loan guarantees that the UK pledged at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London last year.

18:14 Zelensky said that he knows nothing about Scholz's "peace plan" and doubts that it even exists: "There can be no plans for us without Ukraine. I'm not even sure that such a plan exists."

17:56 Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, after announcing new Western sanctions against the country for supplying Russia with ballistic missiles, said that no deliveries had allegedly taken place: "Once again, the US and EU are acting on faulty intelligence and flawed logic - Iran did not supply ballistic missiles to Russia. Period. Those who support sanctions should ask themselves: how can Iran produce and allegedly sell sophisticated weapons? Sanctions are not a solution, they are part of the problem."

17:39 Zelensky reported that he held a meeting in Kyiv with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic. The key topics of the conversation were humanitarian demining, post-war reconstruction and restoration of energy facilities. Croatia announced the 11th package of military aid to Ukraine today.

16:57 The Russian army fired a Tornado-S at Konstantinopol in the Velikonovoselkovskaya community of the Donetsk region - two people were killed, two were wounded, reported the head of the OVA Vadim Filashkin.

16:18 Russians fired at rescuers during the evacuation of civilians in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region, the State Emergency Service reported. Two rescuers from Zaporizhia and Kherson regions were wounded, two armored vehicles were damaged.

15:50 Russia has committed at least 137 thousand war crimes in Ukraine, Zelensky said.

15:43 Lithuania is providing 10 million euros to finance Ukraine's long-range capabilities, in particular for the production of the Palyanitsa drone missile, Rustem Umerov said at the opening of the Lithuanian-Ukrainian Defense Industry Business Forum in Kiev.

15:39 Britain is allocating 30 million pounds to support Ukraine's energy sector, Shmyhal said after a meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy.

15:36 The Wall Street Journal writes that the West demands a "Plan B" from Ukraine with realistic war goals. According to the newspaper, Ukraine has been told that a complete victory over Russia will require hundreds of billions of dollars that the West cannot provide, so partner countries want to see a convincing plan for 2025 that could be presented to their voters tired of the war so that Kiev would continue to receive weapons and aid. The question of what can be considered a victory and what will be needed to achieve it is one of the main topics of the visit to Kiev by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy, the newspaper writes.

14:58 Latvia has announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine, which will include, in particular, armored personnel carriers, Shmyhal said. Latvia will also support Ukraine with energy equipment, provide solar panels to hospitals, and help restore the Chernihiv region.

14:44 Pokrovsk and several other settlements of the Pokrovsk community of Donetsk region were left without water and gas as a result of constant shelling, the city military administration reported.

14:35 In the Kamensky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, as a result of an enemy attack, two people have already been wounded and one has been killed, there is destruction at one of the enterprises, reported the head of the OVA, Serhiy Lysak.

14:29 Turkish President Recep Erdogan, in his video address to the participants of the Crimean Platform, said that Crimea should return to Ukraine in accordance with international law. He stressed that the annexation of Crimea, which Turkey opposed from the first day, further aggravated the suffering of the Crimean Tatars, who survived the deportation 80 years ago.

13:37 Kiev would like India to "moderate" possible talks with Moscow, said Ukrainian Ambassador to New Delhi Oleksandr Polischuk. According to him, India should play a more active role in ending the war in Ukraine if it wants to get a permanent seat on the UN Security Council. According to the diplomat, Ukraine has offered India to hold a second Peace Summit by November 2024, but it is not yet clear whether New Delhi will agree.

13:18 Russians shelled Konstantinovka in Donetsk Oblast again - one person was killed and five were wounded, OVA head Vadim Filashkin reported. Thus, today there are already three dead and five wounded in the city.

13:09 According to the World Bank, about $35 billion will be needed to clear the entire territory of Ukraine of mines. Overall, Ukraine loses $11.2 billion annually due to mined territories, according to a study by the Tony Blair Institute, conducted jointly with the Ministry of Economy. Chernihiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions have lost more than 20% of their GDP. Local budgets of these regions are losing more than $1.1 billion in taxes due to mined territories.

12:50 Peskov said that the decision to strike deep into Russian territory with ATACMS missiles has probably already been made, and they are trying to formalize it through the media. Russia's response to strikes deep into its territory "will be appropriate," Peskov added. According to the Kremlin spokesman, the involvement of the United States and European countries in the conflict is direct, and "the SVO itself is a response to possible strikes deep into Russia." Peskov also said that Biden's call to Putin could not put an end to the war, but the end could be put by "the United States' abandonment of the policy of using Ukraine as an expendable material in an attempt to suppress Russia."

12:46 Zelensky took part in the opening ceremony of the national memorial dedicated to the tragedy of the Crimean Tatar people, and expressed confidence that "certainly" a similar memorial will appear in Crimea. "We are confident that Crimea will be free. This is our common goal, and the whole world is together with Ukraine in this fight today... We are not just fighting for the return of Crimea - we are fighting for the restoration of justice, for the opportunity for every Crimean to return home, to their Crimea, free from Russia and fear," the president emphasized.

The teenagers were promised 5 million rubles (about 55 thousand dollars) for the arson; they received the task on Telegram. The boys poured a flammable substance on the helicopter, lit a cigarette and threw it away, after which the helicopter exploded and burned completely. After this, the schoolchildren fled the scene, but received severe burns, so they sought medical help. In a conversation with law enforcement officers, they admitted that shortly before this, they also set fire to a cell phone tower, for which they received 30 thousand rubles (328 dollars).

Russian publics write that two drones were shot down in the Murmansk Region near the village of Vysoky. Preliminary, the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to attack the Olenya airfield. The distance from the highest point of the Ukrainian border to Russian Murmansk is more than 1,800 km.

10:42 Donald Trump and Kamala Harris held their first and possibly last debate before the US presidential election in November. The candidates repeatedly accused each other of lying. A separate section of the discussion was Russia's war against Ukraine. Read more in the article Ukraine and a Lot of Name-Calling .

09:25 In the Kherson region, 13 people were wounded as a result of Russian shelling over the past day, reported the head of the OVA Oleksandr Prokudin. In addition, today a resident of Veletenske, who came under fire on September 9, sought medical assistance.

09:06 In Donetsk Oblast, on September 10, as a result of Russian shelling, one person was killed - in Gnatovka. Three more people in the region were injured in the past 24 hours, reported OVA head Vadim Filashkin.

08:43 Air defense destroyed 20 out of 25 Shahed-type attack UAVs at night, the Air Force reported. Another five enemy drones were lost on Ukrainian territory, no information about casualties or damage was received. In addition, during the night attack, Russia used one Iskander-M ballistic missile, two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and six Kh-31P anti-radar missiles. Air defense operated in the Kyiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions.

08:31 The General Staff announced the estimated losses of the Russian Federation as of the morning of September 11:

  • tanks - 8642 (+2),

  • combat armored vehicles - 16,938 (+13),

  • artillery systems - 17,936 (+56),

  • MLRS - 1182 (+2),

  • air defense systems - 943 (+1),

  • aircraft - 368 (+0),

  • helicopters - 328 (+0),

  • Operational-tactical level UAVs - 14,990 (+57),

  • cruise missiles - 2591 (+0),

  • ships/boats - 28 (+0),

  • submarines - 1 (+0),

  • automotive equipment and tank trucks - 24,388 (+58),

  • special equipment - 3059 (+6).

07:48 On the evening of September 10, Russians struck Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region with heavy artillery, one person was injured, reported the head of the OVA, Serhiy Lysak.

05:57 US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris criticized her opponent Donald Trump's call to establish friendly ties with Putin during the debate. She said that Trump "would have given up in 24 hours" and "Putin would be sitting in Kiev" and looking further towards Europe. "We need to understand the importance of NATO and what we are doing to support Ukraine. Otherwise, Putin would already be sitting in Kiev thinking about how to attack Poland. You think you are friends with a dictator, but he would eat you for lunch," Harris said.

Trump, in turn, avoided answering the question of whether he wants Ukraine to win: "I want the war to end. I want to save lives because people are dying in the millions. Billions of money are being spent on this war by America. They are not asking Europe for money in this amount." He also once again emphasized that he "knows well" both Zelensky and Putin. "And if I win the election, I will talk to one president, I will talk to the other, and the war will end," Trump assured.

01:14 The White House is "right now" working on lifting US restrictions on Ukraine's use of long-range weapons in the war against Russia, Biden said in response to a question from journalists. The Times writes that part of the US administration already supports such a decision.

Alleged Georgia shooter Colt Gray's mom says son ''not a monster'' in open letter apologizing to victims
Of course he is.
[NYPOST] The mother of Georgia school shooting suspect Colt Gray apologized to the victims’ families in an open letter — all while insisting her son “is not a monster.”

“To the parents and families of those affected by the tragic events at Apalachee High School, I want to say that I am so sorry from the bottom of my heart,” Marcee Gray, Colt’s mother, wrote in the letter which she provided to CNN.

“If I could take the place of Mason and Christian, I would without a second thought,” she said, referring to the two 14-year-olds killed in the mass shooting. She later added that her “heart breaks for the 2 teachers who gave their lives while in the service of teaching and protecting our children.”

The mother continued: “We are all in a living nightmare right now, and I will personally never forgive myself for what has happened.”

“My son Colt is not a monster. He is my oldest baby. He is quiet, thoughtful, caring, funny, and extremely intelligent. Please pray for him and the rest of our family, as I am praying for all of you every moment of every day,” she wrote.

Her letter comes one week after the teen allegedly carried out the shooting that left two teachers and two students at Apalachee High School dead.

Seven others at the Winder, Georgia, school were wounded by gunshots and two more suffered other injuries in the attack, officials said.

In the days since the shooting, it has been revealed that the boy’s mother allegedly warned school officials 30 minutes before the attack.

Marcee Gray made a frantic call to the school counselor just before 10 a.m. the day of the shooting after her son texted her “I’m sorry.”

Authorities said Colt opened fire about 30 minutes after his mother’s warnings.

They said school resource officers tried to track down Colt in his classroom, but stopped a different student with a similar name instead.

Minutes later, Colt allegedly opened fire in the halls of the school.

Colt surrendered after being confronted by a school security officer and was quickly taken into custody.
[Perhaps if he had been approached by an authority figure earlier...]
He has been charged with four counts of felony murder.

His father, Colin — who allegedly bought his troubled son the AR-15 rifle used in the slaughter — was charged with involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder, and eight counts of cruelty to children.

Both the father and son made their initial court appearances on Sept. 6 and did not enter a plea. They are being held without bail, and are next scheduled to appear at Barrow County courthouse Dec. 4.

Relatives have claimed the boy had a troubled upbringing.

The alleged shooter’s mother has had multiple drug and domestic violence arrests, and her addiction ultimately cost her custody of Colt and her other children.

He lived at the time of the shooting with his father, who allegedly berated him and called him names to toughen him up, according to relatives.

“He would call Colt names to his face,” a relative of Colt’s mother told The Post. “Names that no boy wants to hear: sissy, p—y, bitch … just names that were meant to break him down and emasculate him.”

A Transgender Mentally ILL murderer is still a murderer that was well known to the system and appears to have used just as we enter the final stages of the US election cycle.

But, just based on my discussions last Sat., with a few Metro areas 1st responders. There are even more details yet to be released about this whole mess.

But we'll have to wait until after the election and the flushing out of the DOJ.

47 inmates escape from a prison in Liberia
[AFRICANEWS] Dozens of inmates escaped from a maximum security prison outside Liberia's capital over the weekend, authorities said Monday.

The 47 inmates were able to escape because of a breach in the prison security system, the Justice Ministry said in a statement. The prison is in Kakata, a town 55 kilometres (34 miles) northeast of the capital, Monrovia.

The ministry said that it was "deeply concerned about this incident and is taking all necessary measures to ensure the recapture of the escaped inmates.''

The country's national police have also deployed additional officers to assist in the search for the fugitives, the ministry said.

Prisons in Liberia are often severely overcrowded, and inmates lack access to enough food and basic medical care. Last year, a prison in Monrovia ran out of food, and two other prisons briefly stopped taking inmates because of food shortages.

A large number of inmates are also detained without a trial. In November 2022, a U.N. report found that 73% of the nationwide prison population were pretrial detainees.

Soyuz MS-26 with new international crew docked with ISS
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On September 11, the Soyuz MS-26 manned spacecraft automatically docked with the Rassvet module of the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS). This was announced by the Roscosmos state corporation.

The crew included Russian cosmonauts Alexei Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner, as well as NASA astronaut Donald Pettit.

The launch vehicle with the Soyuz MS-26 manned spacecraft was launched to the ISS from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The docking of the spacecraft to the international station was recorded at 22:32 Moscow time. The space mission will last 202 days. During this time, the cosmonauts will have to conduct 42 scientific experiments in the fields of medicine and biology.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, according to Roscosmos, in December 2024, Ovchinin and Wagner will go into outer space. They will install a spectrometer on the surface of the station, which will allow the most accurate measurement of the cosmic radiation background.

On September 7, the Boeing Starliner spacecraft undocked from the ISS and returned to Earth without a crew on board. It landed at the White Sands Test Site in New Mexico. Spent materials and cargo from the ISS were returned to Earth.

Bilawal warns Shehbaz-led govt of consequences for ''victimising political opponents like PTI regime''
Finally noticed that if it can happen to one politician it can happen to another.
Criticising the arrests of PTI politicians on Sunday's crackdown, PPP Chairman Bilawal-Bhutto Zardari has warned the coalition government led by the PML-N of repercussions of victimising political opponents following in the footsteps of the previous Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree...
-led regime.

''If the government's only job is to decide, who should we put behind bars today [because] Khan did this to use and spoiled the [political] climate. If we repay in the same coin then you may be happy for one day but tomorrow you and I will be in the same jail,'' the PPP chief said on the floor of the National Assembly on Wednesday.

The PPP chief also slammed the former ruling party's politicians for not respecting the parliamentary affairs and using the same confrontational tone in the house as they used in public rallies.

''We decide whatever politics we want to do outside the house,'' said the Bhutto scion, adding: ''[...] However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
we have [to play] a responsible role here.''

Canadian FM says she has recently suspended 30 permits for arm shipments to Israel
PM Justin Trudeau, he of the more hair than wit, only likes countries that are ruled by the Left of have fun native costumes for him to dress up in.
[IsraelTimes] ‘We won’t have any form of arms or parts of arms be sent to Gaza,’ says Melanie Joly, adding she ordered review of all weapons contracts with Israel and other countries

Canada has suspended some 30 permits for arms shipments to Israel, including a rare move against a US company’s Canadian subsidiary’s deal with the US government, the foreign minister said Tuesday.

All of the export permits had been approved prior to a January ban on new sales of weapons that could be used in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. -led October 7 terror atrocities in southern Israel.

Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said she had ordered a review of all Canadian weapons suppliers’ contracts with Israel and other countries.

"Following that, I suspended this summer around 30 existing permits of Canadian companies," she said.

A key ally of the United States, which provides Israel with billions of dollars a year in military aid, Canada drew the ire of Israeli leaders when it initially announced it would halt new arms shipments to Israel as of January 8.

Pro-Paleostinian protests against Israel across Canada — at universities, political events and even the Toronto International Film Festival last week — have continued to put pressure on the government to go further.

"Our policy is clear: We will not have any form of arms or parts of arms be sent to Gaza. Period," Joly said.

"How they’re being sent and where they’re being sent is irrelevant," she continued, alluding to ammunition that was meant to have been produced by a Canadian division of US defense contractor General Dynamics for the Israel Defense Forces.

Joly added that the government is in contact about this issue with General Dynamics.

The topic of arms deliveries to Israel has triggered legal proceedings in several countries around the world.

Israel has historically been a top receiver of Canadian arms exports, with Can$21 million worth of military material exported to Israel in 2022, according to government data, following Can$26 million in shipments in 2021.

That placed Israel among the top 10 recipients of Canadian arms exports.

Britannia last week also said it would suspend some arms exports to Israel, asserting a "clear risk" that they could be used in a serious breach of international humanitarian law, a move that was strongly denounced by Israeli leaders.

SpaceX launches all-civilian crew for first private spacewalk
[NEWAGEBD.NET] SpaceX launched its daring Polaris Dawn mission on Tuesday, a multiday orbital expedition carrying a four-member civilian crew for the first spacewalk by non-professional astronauts.

The crew, led by Shift4 Payments CEO Jared Iscaacman, is also aiming to fly deeper into space than any other manned mission in more than half a century, reaching a peak altitude of 870 miles.

’Liftoff of Polaris Dawn!’ SpaceX said on X, alongside a photo of the take-off.

The highlight of the mission will be the first spacewalk composed entirely of non-professionals, who are wearing sleek, newly developed SpaceX extravehicular activity suits outfitted with heads-up displays, helmet cameras and an advanced joint mobility system.

Applause broke out across the mission control centre as the Dragon capsule separated successfully from the main engine and the first glimpses of Earth came into view.

’The Polaris Dawn crew is now in Zero-G!’ SpaceX wrote on X minutes later, as the crew experienced their first taste of zero-gravity.

On the first day of their mission, the craft will travel so high that it will briefly enter the Van Allen radiation belt, a region teeming with high-energy charged particles that can pose health risks to humans over extended periods.

Iraq reports attack on US embassy logistics center
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
More on this story from yesterday.
[Regnum] The logistics center of the US Embassy in the capital of Iraq was attacked. This was reported on September 11 by the Iraqi information portal Shafaq News.

"A security source reported a strike on the US Embassy's logistics center located at Baghdad International Airport," the authors noted.

It is still unclear what was used in the attack: rockets or mortars.

Another strike was carried out on the headquarters of the Counter-Terrorism Agency, located near the airport.

The article did not provide information about the victims.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on the night of February 3, the United States struck 85 targets of pro-Iranian groups in Iraq and Syria. The operation followed an attack on an American base in Jordan, which killed three US servicemen.

US strikes in western Iraq's Anbar province have killed 16 people. Despite US claims that the strikes were coordinated with Iraq's leadership, Iraqi government spokesman Bassem al-Awadi said such reports were false. The Iraqi government called the strikes an act of blatant aggression, and the Syrian authorities also condemned them. The Iraqi parliament called on the government to speed up the withdrawal of Western military contingents from the country.

20 FBI agents raid home of RT employee working in US
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] 20 Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) officers came to search the home of an RT employee working in Miami.

It is noted that the security forces came to her house at about 05:00, when she was sleeping. The woman was not allowed to get dressed, she was beaten and searched.

"They searched the entire body first, I don't know what they wanted, they had a separate warrant specifically for searching the body. They touched everything, so to speak," RT quotes her as saying.

After the search, the agency employee was interrogated for about five hours. According to her, she was asked what kind of person RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan is, "a good person or a bad person."

"They also asked me if Margarita had ever met (Russian President Vladimir ) Putin. And when? I said, 'Well, Google it.' They asked what she liked to eat," the woman said.

She also said she was asked questions about the funding of the news agency and whether the channel received money from the Kremlin. No formal charges were brought against her.

The woman left the United States for safety reasons, the Russian consul helped her buy a plane ticket, and she flew to Russia via a third country.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on September 4, the United States imposed sanctions against the Rossiya Segodnya media group, RIA Novosti, Sputnik, as well as the RT and Simonyan TV channels. Washington explained this decision by the fact that the blacklisted media outlets were allegedly involved in interfering in the American presidential elections.

On September 6, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov called the new US accusations and sanctions against Russia an attempt to put pressure on Moscow and the Russians. He stressed that Russia strongly condemns this line and considers it unacceptable.

On September 6, American journalist Tucker Carlson said that Washington was imposing sanctions on Russian media in an attempt to silence criticism of the Biden administration. The journalist stressed that he did not understand how this could happen, adding that the current American administration had made too many unprecedented decisions.

Hanoi river level hits 20-year high as SE Asia typhoon toll nears 200
[NEWAGEBD.NET] Residents of Vietnam’s capital waded through waist-deep water on Wednesday as river levels hit a 20-year high and the toll from the area’s strongest typhoon in decades rose to at least 179, with neighbouring nations also enduring deadly flooding and landslides.

Typhoon Yagi hit Vietnam at the weekend, carrying winds in excess of 149 kilometres per hour and a deluge of rain that has also brought destructive floods to northern areas of Laos, Thailand and Myanmar.

The Red River in Hanoi reached its highest level in 20 years on Wednesday, forcing residents to trudge through waist-deep brown water as they retrieved possessions from flooded homes.

Others fashioned makeshift boats from whatever materials they could find.

’This was the worst flooding I have witnessed,’ said Nguyen Tran Van, 41, who has lived near the Red River in Hanoi for 15 years.

’I didn’t think the water would rise as quick as it did. I moved because if the water had risen just a bit higher, it would have been very difficult for us to leave,’ Van told AFP.

Hizb ut Tahrir Bangladesh wants withdrawal of its ban
[NEWAGEBD] Leaders of Hizbut Tahrir
...an al-Qaeda recruiting organization banned in most countries. It calls for the reestablishment of the Caliphate...
Bangladesh at a press conference on Monday called on the interim government to withdraw the ban imposed on it by deposed Sheikh Hasina government.

Hizb ut Tahrir organised the press conference at the National Press Club where its central leader Imtiaz Selim said that the Awami League government had imposed the ban on the party unlawfully in 2009.

Imtiaz Selim said that, after the formation of the party in 2007, their party was not involved in any criminal and anti-state activities and Sheikh Hasina government had imposed the ban failing to face us politically.

After the fall of Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, situation has changed and the ban on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is already lifted, Imtiaz said.

So, we hope that the interim government will lift the ban on our party immediately, Imtiaz said.

At the press conference, lawyer Nur Mohammad said that on behalf of Hizb ut Tahrir, they had filed a petition with the home ministry on September 5 in 2024 to withdraw the ban.

Awami League government imposed the ban on the party through a press note on October 22 in 2009, which was not valid as it was not acceptable under section 18(1) of anti-terrorism law 2009, Nur Mohammad said.

Nur Mohammad hoped that the interim government would take steps to withdraw the ban imposed on Hizb ut Tahrir.

Chinese military company's machinery in use at nation's top secret research lab, Oversight Committee says
[FoxNews] The House Oversight Committee says is aware of a machine operated by a Chinese military company that is in use at the nation’s most secretive government laboratories.

"We are aware that there is a BGI machine at Los Alamos," a committee spokeswoman told Fox News Digital.

Situated in rural New Mexico, Los Alamos is one of the most top-secret labs in the country where the atomic bomb was produced under the Manhattan Project in 1943.

The spokeswoman noted the BIOSECURE Act, which passed the House on Monday, would ban the machinery at Los Alamos by prohibiting U.S. taxpayer dollars from flowing to biotech companies that are owned, operated, or controlled by China or other foreign adversaries.

The bill was referred to the Senate Homeland Security Committee, and it’s not clear if and when the Senate plans to take it up.

The Oversight Committee did not say whether it would conduct an investigation into the BGI-linked machinery.

The CCP-linked Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI) is a leading biotech and genomics company in China and has been defined by the Pentagon as a "Chinese military company" and "China’s Biotech National Champion."

BGI Group, which runs a massive gene databank in China and has DNA sequencing contracts with health firms and universities worldwide, has received substantial investment from China’s biggest state investment vehicle, the State Development and Investment Corp (SDIC).

The National Security Commission on AI stated that BGI "may be serving, wittingly or unwittingly, as a global collection mechanism for Chinese government gene databases, providing China with greater raw numbers and diversity of human genome samples as well as access to sensitive personal information about key individuals around the world."

BGI has created a number of new subsidiaries in the U.S. over the past two years to further evade scrutiny.

The Pentagon listed BGI as a "Chinese Military Company" operating in the U.S. and added two of its subsidiaries to a trade blacklist over allegations they conducted genetic analysis and surveillance activities for Beijing. The Department of Commerce said that information "has been utilized in the repression of ethnic minorities in China."

In 2021 BGI created a neonatal genetic test with the CCP that allowed it to collect information from millions of women for research on traits of populations, according to a Reuters report.

In 2022 information security firm Strider Technologies found China has engaged in a decades-long campaign to insert and recruit allied researchers from Los Alamos. The report asserted that between 1987 and 2021, at least 162 scientists who passed through the nuclear research lab returned and worked with the Chinese government. Of these, 15 were permanent staff members, many carrying high levels of security clearances.

In 2022, BGI acquired Complete Genomics, an American genomic sequencing firm, and in 2022, BGI spun off MGI, which went public on the Shanghai stock market, and housed Complete Genomics as a subsidiary of MGI. MGI is still vast majority owned by BGI and entities with ties to the CCP.

Dem Rep. Nadler pictured with head down, eyes closed during testimony from mothers of migrant crime victims
Always a good time to take a nap when you don't give a fcuk.
[FoxNews] Ranking member slammed 'partisan hearing' before mothers testified about their children's murders at hands of illegals.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., is under fire after he appeared to close his eyes and lower his head during congressional testimony on the impacts of migrant crime on victims' families Tuesday – prompting criticism that leading Democrats are not taking the issue seriously and have disrespected those in mourning.

Reps. Chip Roy, R-Texas, and Dan Bishop, R-N.C., skewered the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee after the incident had people in the audience fuming.

The photo, with a box of tissues in the foreground, also shows an aide next to Nadler, looking at his cellphone as mothers who lost their daughters to suspected foreign rapists and killers shared their traumatic stories of loss with the committee.

"One of the ladies that came with me, she took a picture of the Democrats on the other side as we were speaking and telling our stories, us, the mothers, mothers crying, telling our stories – and one of them is sleeping, and the other one's on his phone," said Patty Morin, whose daughter Rachel was brutally raped and murdered after police say an illegal immigrant attacked her on a jogging trail near her home in Maryland.

Cathie Groenewold, a church friend of Morin's who took the photo, said she found Nadler's demeanor deeply offensive.

"I was astounded at the careless attitude of Jerry Nadler and… the man sitting to his right," she told Fox News Digital. "They are pouring out their hearts, these women, who have lost their children to fentanyl and the most gruesome murders you could imagine, and they don’t have the common decency to sit up and give them their undivided attention."

Nadler and other Democrats appeared to treat the hearing as a partisan "stunt," she said.

"I'm sorry, but these women are drawing attention to a serious issue," she said. "It's not a stunt, and they weren't coerced into coming."

Morin's 37-year-old daughter was a mother of five and small business owner. Her alleged killer is a 23-year-old from El Salvador named Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, who is also suspected of killing another woman in his home country and sexually assaulting a woman and her 9-year-old daughter in a Los Angeles home invasion.

At the start of the hearing, the longtime New York congressman began by sharing his condolences with the witnesses.

"I cannot imagine how difficult this loss has been for you," he said.

Then he pivoted to calling the proceedings "one more partisan hearing designed to divide us and to score political points before an election."

Among the eight witnesses, four lost their children in connection with the border crisis.

Sudan's Islamist coalition elects Karti as president
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The Broad Islamic Current, a coalition of Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
ese Islamist groups, has elected Ali Karti as its president, the coalition said in a statement on Monday.
Oh yay — a new Islamist coalition. Still, it’s a poetic name, so they have that going for them.
Karti, a former foreign minister and secretary-general of the influential Islamic Movement, accepted the position and pledged to implement an ambitious program, according to a statement from the coalition.

He has been out of the spotlight since the ouster of longtime President Omer al-Bashir in 2019 and was wanted by authorities during the transitional period. The coalition did not disclose how or where the election took place but confirmed it operates within Sudan.

The coalition's spokesperson, Hassan Abdel Hamid, said their stance in the ongoing conflict is to support the army against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), accusing the RSF of attempting to ''swallow the Sudanese state.''
In an equally poetic Secret Hiding Place? Maybe even a Hidden Lair? I wonder if the juices have found it yet…
He continued, ''We oppose external interventions and reject the proposals of the Coordination of Democratic Civilian Forces 'Tagadum.''

According to a press statement issued by the Current yesterday, the coalition's Presidential Council discussed in its periodic meeting ''the developments in the country and the repercussions of the war launched by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militias and their foreign mercenaries, and their supporters from internal political forces and countries conspiring against our country and people.''

The Broad Islamic Current, formed after the 2021 military coup, opposes the framework agreement and the U.N. presence in Sudan. It comprises various Islamist groups, notably excluding the Popular Congress Party.

The most prominent forces forming the Islamic Current include the Islamic Movement, the Just Peace Forum, the Reform Now Movement, two factions of the Moslem Brüderbund, and the State of Law and Development Party led by preacher Mohammed Ali al-Jazouli, who has been detained by the Rapid Support Forces since the early months of the war.

Hurricane Francine strengthens to Category 2 as it hits Louisiana coast
[GEO.TV] Hurricane Francine strengthened to a Category 2 storm on Wednesday just before it made landfall in Louisiana, threatening New Orleans and the wider Gulf Coast with powerful winds, rain and a storm surge that led to evacuation orders for thousands of people.

Francine packed maximum sustained winds of 100 miles per hour (155 kph) as the eye of the storm reached the southern Louisiana coast near Morgan City, Louisiana, about 90 miles (145 km) southwest of New Orleans, the US National Hurricane Center said.

The hurricane
...as in blow me down!...
center upgraded the storm from Category 1 previously on the five-step Saffir-Simpson scale. It classifies a Category 2 hurricane as producing extremely dangerous winds that will cause extensive damage. Little change in strength was expected before landfall later on Wednesday.

The storm was moving toward the northeast at 17 mph (28 kph), putting not just Morgan City but also New Orleans in the general path. The New Orleans metropolitan area was under a hurricane watch, meaning hurricane conditions were possible.

"It is on our doorstep. After the storm is over, please remain in place," Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry told a presser. "Stay off the roadway."

Morgan City had already set a curfew until 6 a.m. on Thursday, Police Chief Chad Adams told journalists.

The Grand Turk
Türkiye accuses Siemens of ‘political' nuclear plant decision
[RT] Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar has accused German industrial giant Siemens of intentionally delaying the delivery of equipment for the construction of the country's $24 billion Akkuyu nuclear power plant. The facility is set to be the first of its kind in Türkiye, and is being built by Russia’s Rosatom nuclear energy agency.

Speaking to the Anadolu news agency, Bayraktar said Türkiye’s first nuclear power reactor is already more than 90% complete. However, a delay in delivering equipment by Siemens has pushed back the project by several months. The minister claimed that the German company’s decision was taken “with a political attitude on an issue that has no legal basis and is not subject to any international sanctions.”

If Siemens aims to “impose sanctions on Russia, then Türkiye is also seriously affected by this,” Bayraktar added. Ankara has already filed a complaint about the situation “at the highest level,” he stated, insisting that the company should “pay a price” for its behavior.

Bayraktar noted that Siemens is “one of the companies we have been working with for many years,” but that it has “now put us in a difficult situation where we have to seriously question their existence.” In light of the situation, Rosatom has started looking for alternative suppliers and has already placed an order for the necessary equipment in China, the minister added.
"Good Luck"
Ankara had previously projected the launch date of the Akkuyu nuclear facility for October 29 to coincide with Türkiye’s Republic Day celebrations. However, the authorities have since warned that this date is likely to change due to the delay in equipment deliveries from Germany.

The Akkuyu NPP is the first nuclear power plant in Türkiye and is set to include four power units with Russian-designed reactors, each capable of producing 1,200 megawatts.

Hamas says ready to implement ceasefire without new conditions
Golly, that sounds promising!
[GEO.TV] The Paleostinian Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
group said on Wednesday that its negotiators reiterated its readiness to implement an "immediate" ceasefire with Israel in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
based on a previous US proposal without new conditions from any party.
Note: An American proposal, not what Israel has —and has not — agreed to now.
The Paleostinian group said in a statement that their negotiation team, led by bigwig Khalil al-Hayya, met mediators on Wednesday including Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. 's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Egypt's intelligence chief Abbas Kamel in Doha to discuss the latest developments in Gaza.

Talks have so far failed to reach a deal to end the 11-month-old war. Lingering issue include control of the Philadelphi corridor, a narrow stretch of land on Gaza's border with Egypt, persisting.

CIA Director William Burns, who is also the chief US negotiator on Gaza, said on Saturday that a more detailed ceasefire proposal would be made in the next several days.
The Times of Israel:
The Hamas statement said the terror group group remains committed to implementing a ceasefire based on the original US proposal and won’t accept new conditions from any party, an apparent reference to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s insistence on Israeli troops maintaining positions on the Philadelphi Corridor on the Gaza-Egypt border.

The statement made no mention of reported new Hamas demands to free prisoners serving life sentences in exchange for the first group of hostages that include, women children, the sick and the elderly.

CIA Director William Burns, who is also the chief US negotiator on Gaza, said on Saturday that a more detailed ceasefire proposal would be made in the next several days.

The original proposal put forward by US President Joe Biden in June laid out a three-phase ceasefire for ending the war sparked by Hamas’s October 7 terror onslaught in return for the release of Israeli hostages.

Meanwhile, the Kan public broadcaster reported that Cairo believes Netanyahu’s stance on the Philadelpi route is “a political maneuver that will pass with time,” citing a source familiar with the talks.

The report added that Egypt was therefore not weighing any drastic moves, despite it’s anger at Netanyahu.

Mediators have said that Israel’s deployment in the Philadelphi Corridor is the main remaining obstacles to a deal, along with issues surrounding the release of Palestinian security prisoners.

Further harming the process is Hamas’s recent execution of six Israeli hostages, a US official said last week, explaining that they had been negotiating based on a list of hostages that has since shrunk.

It is believed that 97 of the 251 hostages abducted by Hamas on October 7 remain in Gaza, including the bodies of at least 33 confirmed dead by the IDF.

What!!!
HAMAS did not demand Israel convert to Islam?

What has happened? Is it because they are a few 100 miles short of tunnels and a few 1000 supporters short now?

Or, did the Plane Loads of $$$$$ Obama/Biden sent to Iran finally run out.

Maybe Greta T. is on their A$$ for Climate Change damages caused by the war and tunnels?

But seriously.
We all know it is to regroup and a start over, using another group name, with the same goal.

Fact-Finding Mission's mandate. He also accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group of killing more than 27,000 people since the conflict began in April 2023.

On Saturday, the Sudanese government rejected the recommendations of a Human Rights Council fact-finding mission, which called for the deployment of a neutral force to protect civilians in the ongoing war. The government accused the mission of being politically motivated and exceeding its mandate, citing the mission's decision to publish its report and hold a presser before presenting it to the Human Rights Council.

''The mandate of the Fact-Finding Mission should be terminated,'' Tayfour urged, ''and cooperation with regional countries must be strengthened to ensure access to victims and witnesses, the recovery of stolen goods, and the extradition of criminals.''

Speaking at an interactive dialogue session during the 57th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the head of the Sudanese delegation, revealed that the National Committee for Investigating Crimes and Violations of National and International Humanitarian Law had declared 346 individuals runaways, demanding they surrender to authorities. The committee has also reached out to six countries for the extradition of 16 suspects believed to be harboured abroad.
