Iran’s IRGC orders members to stop using all communication devices after Lebanon blasts
I am awstruck.
[IsraelTimes] Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has ordered all members to stop using any type of communication devices after thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by its Hezbollah allies in Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
blew up in deadly attacks last week, two senior Iranian security officials tell Rooters.

One of the security officials says a large-scale operation is underway by the IRGC to inspect all devices, not just communication equipment. He says most of these devices were either homemade or imported from China and Russia.

is concerned about infiltration by Israeli agents, including Iranians on Israel’s payroll, and a thorough investigation of personnel has already begun, targeting mid and high-ranking members of the IRGC, adds the official, who declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter.

"This includes scrutiny of their bank accounts both in Iran and abroad, as well as their travel history and that of their families," the security official says.

Iran’s Foreign, Defense and Interior ministries were not immediately available to respond to the comments made by the security officials to Rooters.

Early Monday morning: IDF warns Lebanese civilians to immediately move away from homes used by Hezbollah to store weapons, IAF airstrikes hit Beqaa Valley
Interesting video at the link showing an overhead view of a building — and what penetrating radar shows inside, underneath the roof and ceiling. I’d be terrified just now, were I stupid enough to be a jihadi.
[IsraelTimes] IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari issues a message to Lebanese civilians in border villages, warning them against Hezbollah’s use of their homes to store weaponry.

"To all the residents of the villages in Leb

, in the near future we will strike terror targets in Lebanon. We call on everyone who is near properties or inside homes where Hezbollah is hiding weapons, we call on you to distance yourselves from them immediately. This is for your safety and protection," he says.

Hagari shows previously unreleased footage of Hezbollah operatives preparing to launch a cruise missile from within a civilian home in a southern Lebanon village. The building was targeted in an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
"Hezbollah puts you and your families in danger. Hezbollah is planning to launch these weapons toward Israel, stay away from them immediately for your own protection," he says.

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, the pastor had finally been wrestled from the pulpit.
Y'got the wrong guy! he yelled just before Sergeant Malone's billy club landed...

Hagari says that the ongoing widespread strikes in Lebanon come after the military identified Hezbollah preparations to launch rockets at Israel.

He says the strikes will continue to "remove the threats."

IDF sends text messages to residents in south Lebanon, Beqaa: Stay away from Hezbollah buildings
[IsraelTimes] People in south Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley are receiving text messages warning them to stay away from buildings used by Hezbollah to store weapons, Hebrew-language media reports.

“If you are in a building that has Hezbollah weapons, stay away from it until further notice,” the text messages read, echoing an earlier message from IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari.

Large airstrikes reported in Beqaa Valley, south Lebanon
[IsraelTimes] Large Israeli airstrikes are reported by Lebanese media in southern Lebanon as well as deep within the country in the Beqaa Valley.

The IDF has said it is carrying out extensive strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon and will provide further details later.

Israeli forces raid Al Jazeera Ramallah bureau with closure order
[IsraelTimes] Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
i Al Jazeera TV said on Sunday morning that Israeli forces stormed its bureau in the West Bank’s Ramallah city with a military order to close it for 45 days.

The Qatar-based channel aired live footage of the Israeli troops raiding the channel’s office and handing a closure order to one of its staff before the broadcast was disrupted.

"There is a court ruling for closing down Al Jazeera for 45 days," an Israeli soldier told Al Jazeera’s West Bank bureau chief Walid al-Omari, the network reported.

"I ask you to take all the cameras and leave the office at this moment," the soldier said, according to the footage, which showed heavily armed and masked troops entering the office in Ramallah.

Recent months have seen a concerted effort by Israeli authorities to crack down on the network, regarded by many as propagating inflammatory anti-Israel and pro-Hamas
..always the voice of sweet reason...
rhetoric.

Omari said the closure order accused the network of "incitement to and support of terrorism," according to Al Jazeera.

"Targeting journalists this way always aims to erase the truth and prevent people from hearing the truth," the bureau chief said.

Al Jazeera correspondent Nida Ibrahim said the network’s West Bank office closure "comes as no surprise" after Al Jazeera was hit with an earlier ban on reporting from inside Israel.

"We’ve heard Israeli officials threatening to close down the bureau," she said on the network. "But we (had) not been expecting it to happen today."

Another Al Jazeera journalist said staff were prevented from reporting on the raid and their cameras were confiscated.

In a statement, the Paleostinian Journalists’ Syndicate condemned the Israeli move, saying "this arbitrary military decision is considered a new violation against journalistic and media works, which has been exposing the occupation’s crimes against the Paleostinian people."

In May, Israeli authorities raided a Jerusalem hotel room used by Al Jazeera as its office after the government decided to shut down the Al Jazeera TV station’s local operations, saying it threatened national security. Israel took the network off the air and blocked its broadcasts following an emergency law passed in April.

The initial Knesset law allowed Israel to ban the TV station for a 45-day period, with further 45-day renewals subject to court approval. The Tel Aviv District Court has renewed the ban four times since then, mostly recently last week.

In a June ruling, the court found that there was a direct and causal connection between individuals who have carried out terror attacks inside Israel and the consumption of Al Jazeera content.

It also determined that there was a "close connection" between Al Jazeera and Hamas, that some Al Jazeera news hounds in Gazoo

had turned themselves into "assistants and partners" with the Paleostinian terror group, and that some of them had even carried out terror attacks.

The shutdown had not affected broadcasts from the West Bank or the Gaza Strip, from which Al Jazeera was still covering Israel’s war with Hamas that began on October 7 when the Paleostinian terror group led a devastating cross-border attack on southern Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking 251 hostage.

IDF intercepts cruise missiles, drones fired from Iraq at north and south
[IsraelTimes] No impacts reported as most threats do not enter Israeli airspace; coalition of pro-Iran armed groups claims responsibility, says acting in support of Gaza

Air defenses intercepted two cruise missiles and two drones fired from Iraq, none of which hit Israeli territory, the military reported Sunday.

A group of Iran-backed Iraqi militias grabbed credit for the attacks.

Mid-morning, a suspected drone that entered Israeli airspace from the east was shot down by air defenses over the southern Golan Heights, the Israel Defense Forces said.

Sirens had sounded in several towns due to fears of falling shrapnel, but there were no injuries or damage in the incident.

Earlier, a drone from Iraq was intercepted as it headed toward southern Israel, setting off sirens in Be’er Ora, close to Eilat. It was shot down before it could enter Israeli airspace, according to the military.

Before dawn, two apparent cruise missiles launched from Iraq were shot down by the military as they headed toward the southern Golan Heights. Both targets were also intercepted outside of Israeli airspace, the IDF said.

"The fighters of the Islamic Resistance® of Iraq targeted on Sunday morning a strategic location in the occupied territories using drones," said the Iraqi coalition in a statement on Telegram, referring to Israel, and adding it was carried out "in support of our people in Gazoo

The same Iraqi group has claimed to have launched numerous drones at Israel amid the war in the Gaza Strip, most of which failed to cross Israel’s border or were downed by air defenses.

It grabbed credit for a drone attack earlier this month, saying it fired the weapon at the port city of Haifa. That too was shot down before it entered Israeli airspace, the IDF said at the time.

Last week an Israeli fighter jet intercepted a drone near the Sea of Galilee that had been launched from Iraq, the IDF said. The drone set off sirens in Tiberias and several other communities.

Europe
Far-right AfD eyes new win in east German state vote
[IsraelTimes] On heels of extremist terror attacks in the country, the anti-immigration party hopes to repeat its recent gains in Thuringia and Saxony, deliver ‘hard blow’ to Scholz’s SPD

Germans began casting ballots Sunday for a regional election in a formerly communist eastern state where the far-right AfD party is narrowly ahead in opinion polls.

The anti-immigration Alternative for Germany has long railed against Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s unpopular coalition government, which faces national elections in a year.

In the state election in Brandenburg, the AfD hopes to replicate the strong gains it made in the east three weeks ago, when it won a parliamentary vote in Thuringia and came a close second in Saxony.

A victory in Brandenburg, which surrounds the capital Berlin, would deliver another setback to Scholz’s Social Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
(SPD), the center-left party that has ruled the state since Germany’s reunification in 1990. Infighting in the government has seen Scholz’s approval ratings take a dive while his defense minister, fellow Social Democrat Boris Pistorius, often tops surveys as Germany’s most popular politician.

ISLAMIST ATTACKS
Around 2.2 million people aged over 16 are eligible to vote in Brandenburg. Polls will close at 1600 GMT.

The state takes in wealthy towns such as Potsdam, with its Prussian-era Sanssouci Palace, as well as thinly populated rural areas and industrial zones, one of which houses a Tesla plant.

Popular SPD state premier Dietmar Woidke has kept his distance during the campaign from his party colleague Scholz, even though the chancellor’s electoral district is Potsdam. But Woidke, in office for over a decade, has thrown down a challenge to voters by saying he will quit if the AfD wins.

However,
some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them...
the latest surveys give the AfD an edge, predicting it will win with 27-29 percent of the vote, even as the SPD has recently narrowed the gap and polled at 25-26 percent.

Even if it wins, the AfD is unlikely to govern because all other parties have ruled out entering into a coalition with it. But its rise has heaped political pressure on Scholz and his governing allies, the Greens and the liberal Free Democrats.

The decade-old AfD has stoked and capitalized on public fears about irregular migration after a string of recent krazed killer attacks with suspected Islamist motives. Germany was especially shocked by a knife rampage that killed three people and maimed eight in the western city of Solingen last month. Police arrested a Syrian asylum-seeker who allegedly claimed allegiance to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. group and had evaded a deportation order.

LEFT-WING KINGMAKER?
A recent survey in Brandenburg found that immigration was the top concern for many voters.

"People are always talking about integration and saying that they are not satisfied with what is happening," one voter, Edeltraud Wendland, 82, told AFP on a Potsdam shopping street. "Of course, we have to help people, but we can’t take in too many of them."

The AfD, besides protesting against migrants colonists, Islam and multiculturalism, also questions climate change and holds pro-Russian positions on the Ukraine war.

This year has also seen the emergence of a second populist party, the left-wing Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW), which is polling at 13-14 percent in Brandenburg. Hailing from former East Germany, Wagenknecht is a veteran opposition politician and frequent TV talk show guest who quit the hard-left Die Linke party to form her own movement. She has described the BSW’s policies as "leftist-conservative" — a blend of economic policies that help workers and the poor and conservative cultural positions, including on limiting immigration.

As in Thuringia and Saxony, Wagenknecht’s party could gain a potential kingmaker role after the election, complicating the task for the other parties who oppose her pro-Russia and anti-NATO

[IsraelTimes] During closed-door meeting with lawmakers, Netanyahu argues putting pressure on Hezbollah could help force Hamas’s Sinwar to the table, predicts ICC arrest warrants coming soon

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told politicians on Monday that he is weighing the so-called generals’ plan to lay siege to northern Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. , promoted by a group of senior IDF reservists.

Speaking to members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, the prime minister also said that "according to the information we have, half of the [97 remaining] hostages in Gaza are alive," a committee member said.
Speaking to members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, the prime minister also said that "according to the information we have, half of the [97 remaining] hostages in Gaza are alive," a committee member said.

His statements would indicate that around 50 hostages could be dead. The IDF has only confirmed the deaths of 33 of those still in Gaza.

At the closed-door session, Netanyahu indicated that the plan for a siege on remaining Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
forces is one of several being examined and which will be brought to the cabinet for further discussion in the coming days.

Presenting the scheme to the committee last week, retired Maj. Gen. Giora Eiland argued that the plan, which is not backed by the United States, would "change the reality" on the ground in Gaza.

"We have to tell the residents of north Gaza that they have one week to evacuate the territory, which then becomes a military zone, [a zone] in which every figure is a target and, most importantly, no supplies enter this territory.

Eiland argued that a siege is not only an effective military tactic but is also compliant with international law. "What matters to [Hamas leader Yahya] Sinwar is land and dignity, and with this maneuver, you take away both land and dignity," he said.

Eiland has been critical of Israel’s conduct of the war in Gaza, telling The Times of Israel last week that as long as Hamas retains control over the distribution of food and fuel, it will be able to replenish its coffers and recruit new fighters.

"You can’t win a war while this is the situation in Gaza," he said. "The slogan that ’only military pressure will bring victory’ has no basis whatsoever. The wars of the 21st century are based on something else. The most important parameter is the population, and those who can control the population win the war."

Netanyahu told the committee that controlling the distribution of humanitarian aid is key to winning in Gaza and that efforts to enlist local tribes had failed.
They had their chance, but were afraid to take it. Oh , well — on with the war.
As such, he said enacting a military regime to run affairs in the territory may be necessary for now, even if it is not his goal.

Likud MK Amit Halevi, a member of the committee, welcomed the Eiland plan, saying that it marked "the right direction" for Israeli policy in Gaza.

"In order to defeat Hamas we must control the land and the population. There is no other way to victory," he told The Times of Israel, arguing that unless Hamas’s civil control is eliminated, the terror group will be able to continue to recruit new fighters.

Such an approach is also "the only chance for a hostage deal" because it will put additional pressure on Sinwar to come to the table and make concessions, he argued.

"If he has food for years and the international pressure is on Israel, why does he need to make a deal?" Halevi said.

According to sources familiar with Sunday’s discussion, Netanyahu declined to address New Hope MK Gideon Sa’ar’s announcement Saturday that he had declined the prime minister’s offer to take over the role of defense minister, replacing Yoav Gallant. In a statement on Saturday evening, the chairman of the hawkish opposition party said he could not take up the position amid the significant escalation of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in Leb

— although he argued that despite critics’ claims, he was qualified for the job.

Netanyahu predicted that the International Criminal Court (ICC) was likely to soon issue arrest warrants for Gallant and him. Earlier this month, ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan called on the court to issue arrest warrants he requested in May for Netanyahu, Gallant and leaders of Hamas "with utmost urgency."

Khan is a "political guided missile," Netanyahu told politicians.

He also denied standing in the way of a Gaza hostage deal, insisting that Hamas is the intransigent party, having demanded 29 revisions to a proposed ceasefire outline, while asserting that Israel had accepted all the conditions laid out by American mediators.

Netanyahu has been widely reported to have added new conditions to those proposed by the Americans, including Israel holding on the Gaza-Egypt border in the first stage of a ceasefire and hostage deal. But US officials have also indicated that Hamas demands remain a major stumbling block to an agreement.

According to Hebrew media reports, the prime minister slammed "fake reports" that he was responsible for preventing an agreement and said that Hamas does not currently want a ceasefire deal. He also raised a new idea for a deal that he said had come up in internal discussions, under which Israel would agree to a series of brief ceasefires in Gaza, with a small number of hostages to be freed in each, Channel 12 news reported.

He also reportedly argued that putting pressure on Hezbollah in the north could help force Sinwar to the table.

ONGOING BATTLE AGAINST HEZBOLLAH
Addressing the current upsurge in hostilities against Hezbollah, he said, "We are talking about distancing Hezbollah from the border and degrading its capabilities. This is not a one-off event. We will continue, but would prefer not to get to all-out war."

Netanyahu’s remarks at the Knesset came only hours after he released a video statement vowing that the Hezbollah would "get the message" after a series of dramatic operations against the Iran-backed terror group in recent days.

Hezbollah expanded its range of rocket attacks in the early hours of Sunday to hit the greater Haifa area and the Jezreel Valley, putting some two million Israelis in range of its strikes.

’s private medical facilities, which house 85% of all hospital beds in the country, are at full capacity following last week’s attacks on communication devices held by Hezbollah members, Sleiman Haroun, president of Lebanon’s Syndicate of Private Hospitals, has said.

Haroun told the anti-Hezbollah news outlet "This is Beirut" during the weekend that hospitals would be unable to handle additional pressure for at least three weeks, as many of those injured require intensive care and multiple surgeries.
Are there any pagers or cell phones or internet-of-things devices — or batteries — in the hospitals? Just asking for a friend.
On Sunday, Israel’s Channel 12 news quoted unnamed foreign security sources as saying the attacks were deemed successful due to the high number of injuries they caused, which placed immense strain on Lebanon’s healthcare system, increasing domestic pressure on Hezbollah.

Israel has not taken responsibility for the attacks but is widely seen as being behind them.

Though the extent and gravity of the thousands of injuries sustained in the attacks remain unclear, the impact on Lebanon’s health system has been undeniable.

Haroun warned that if tensions on the Israel-Lebanon border escalate into a full-scale conflict, Lebanon’s hospitals would struggle to manage another influx of maimed.

He compared the current situation to the aftermath of the Beirut port explosion in 2020, which killed over 200 people and injured 7,000. However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
he said injuries from the recent attacks are generally far more severe, with most victims requiring hospitalization rather than just emergency room care.

Beirut’s Health Ministry has pledged to cover the costs of treating all the injured, promising to disburse funds from the $11 million allocated by the government to deal with the aftermath of the attacks. However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
the outlet pointed out that the cash-strapped government had made similar promises following the 2020 port explosion, but those medical bills remain unpaid.

Lebanese health workers are said to be grappling with the severe nature of many of the injuries, performing complex surgeries to restore faces and limbs. This is Beirut detailed harrowing scenes inside operating rooms, with medical professionals "reconstructing disfigured faces, saving eyes, restoring lips and noses, and repairing shredded skin and muscles."

"In some cases, the entire face was gone," said an unnamed eye specialist, while adding that "collateral victims" were often as gravely injured as the device owners.

Reports of shocking disfigurements have also been corroborated by Lebanese doctors interviewed by The New York Times

...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

, who described gruesome injuries: "Eyes blown out of their sockets. Faces torn to pieces by burning shards of plastic. Hands and fingers so mangled that doctors had no choice but to amputate them."
Frissons for everyone in the newsroom!
Pierre Mardelli, an eye doctor quoted by the newspaper, said he was forced to suture eye wounds without anesthesia. He said the blast seemed to have targeted the eyes of device owners, as pagers sent out error messages for long moments, which would encourage their owners to examine them, before they went kaboom!HEZBOLLAH UNDER PRESSURE

In addition untold millions were spent on Hizbollah's Emdad charity. Over the last twenty years Iranian support continued until the presence of the Trump administration, which led to a drastic reduction of Iranian support. Present Iranian funding for Hizbollah definitely exceeds previous years but fore the moment is anyone's guess.

terror group in Gaza and engaged in daily fighting with the Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon — both Iranian proxies — since Hamas committed its onslaught in southern Israel on October 7, 2023.

The Revolutionary Guards added on Sunday that members of the network of 12 operatives were arrested in six different Iranian provinces, but did not say when.

Tehran frequently claims to foil Mossad operations in the country, but the veracity of such claims is unclear.

The arrests Sunday came in the immediate wake of a series of devastating security breaches suffered by Iranian-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, including the violent mostly peaceful explosion of thousands of pagers, walkie-talkies, and other electronics. Among those hurt in the attacks, widely blamed on Israel, was Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani, who is reported to have lost an eye.

Shortly after the liquidation, The Telegraph reported that the Mossad had enlisted agents from within the Revolutionary Guards to plant explosives in the Tehran guesthouse where Haniyeh was staying.

The Hamas chief was visiting Tehran at the time to attend the inauguration of the country’s new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, who was elected after the president, Ebrahim Raisi, was killed in a helicopter crash in May, along with the country’s foreign minister and five others.

The Iranian investigation into Raisi’s death concluded that the crash was caused by bad weather, although an Iranian member of parliament reportedly said that the late president had carried a Hezbollah pager of the type targeted last week.

Israeli Lawyer Assaf Shmuelevitz Infiltrates IDF During October 7th Attack: Shared Operational Information to Anti-Netanyahu Protest Movement and Likely with the US State Dept.
[Gateway] This is a guest post.

Infiltration of the IDF Southern Command
On the morning of October 7th, during the Hamas attack on Israel, Assaf Shmuelevitz, a young lawyer, infiltrated the IDF Southern Command and gained access to highly sensitive military meetings.

Among these was a critical briefing where Defense Minister Yoav Galant was present. Shmuelevitz was exposed to real-time intelligence on military operations, war strategies, and vital information about hostages and the location of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

The infiltration occurred at a moment when decisions made in these meetings could alter the course of the conflict, highlighting the urgent need to act on collected intelligence in the first few hours of an attack.

Terrifying new crime that's hit 1,100 flights which experts fear could lead to deadly plane crash
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Incidents of GPS spoofing have spiked from only dozens per day in February to over 1,100 in August - a 400 percent increase, according to an OPS Group report.

GPS spoofing occurs when a fake radio signal is used to interfere with and override a legitimate one. It is a cyberattack and is used as a warfare tactic.

Civilian flights were the primary targets of these kind of attacks, but now commercial pilots are seeing a rapid increase in these confusing GPS signals that 'could be extremely dangerous,' American Airlines Captain Dan Carey told The Wall Street Journal.

Ken Alexander, the Federal Aviation Administration’s chief scientist for satellite navigation, said at a pilot union forum: 'If we lose an airplane because of workload issues because of these problems we’re encountering, compounded with an emergency, that is going to be a horrendous event.'

[GatewayPundit] One Citizen Platform Has Found a Way to Catch the Fraudulent Ballots and Illegal Voters Before November 1st – Here’s How They Are Doing It

This week, a group of citizens, attorneys, investigators, writers, former elected officials, tech entrepreneurs unveiled a powerful technology platform to even up the fight with Leftist NGOs stealing U.S. elections.

Their site, StopBogusBallots.com is an initiative of Common Sense Elections, a PAC applying quantum speed technology, innovative, successful legal strategies, top flight investigative talent – to exposing mail-ballots from nonsensical addresses BEFORE the votes get counted.

2024 will be decided by mail-in ballots, from 7 swing states, each of which is currently too close to call.

NGOs are active in each swing state, operating ballot mills registering illegal aliens and other migrants – capturing their ballots – and voting them.

The Common Sense Elections Dark Money Tracking System tracks every NGO influencing U.S. elections – dollars they spend, dollars they receive.

There is no organization in America, who can, with 3 clicks from a phone, expose every connection between the Chinese Progressive Association, Tides Advocacy, down to Leftist street-level GET-OUT-THE-VOTE organizations impacting the 2024 election.

Now there is – and the Common Sense Elections team is publishing the roadmap of influence, from foreign and domestic actors secretly impacting the 2024 election – using Fractal quantum technology.

The first Fractal analysis of Dark Money groups is available today at StopBogusBallots.com.

Common Sense Elections identified over 500,000 ineligible addresses – each – in Michigan, Georgia and Wisconsin, over 1.4 million in Pennsylvania.

These addresses may receive a mail-in ballot which could be intercepted by a Leftist NGO to vote for their candidate.

StopBogusBallots.com does not simply find an anomaly; they cross-search it with property tax records, real-time U.S. postal change of address records, and other databases to challenge a mail-in ballot before it is counted rather than litigate afterward.

The product is a ballot challenge – with full documentation – from an official government document – like a property tax entry – and a street level photo – delivered weeks or days BEFORE the ballots are counted.

In addition to the details of the penetration, there’s this:
CONNECTIONS TO ‘ACHIM LENESHEK’ (BROTHERS IN ARMS)

The involvement of members of the Achim Leneshek (Brothers in Arms) an anti-Netayahu organization in this case adds another layer of intrigue. The indictment reveals that Shmuelevitz brought a former F16 pilot and a former officer, both affiliated with Achim Leneshek, into the base without proper authorization.

These individuals participated in meetings with senior officials, and their presence has fueled speculation that influential political figures are being protected.

Ayala Hasson’s investigative reports further revealed that these individuals, known for their opposition to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judicial reforms, were potentially involved in the espionage plan.

Hasson pointed out that despite their involvement, no charges have been filed against them, suggesting a deeper political motive behind the cover-up. The Achim Leneshek group had been critical of Netanyahu’s government and had even stated that its members would refuse to serve in the IDF due to the judicial reform efforts.

Hezbollah Commanders Eliminated in Beirut Strike Were Plotting October 7-Style Invasion of Israel
[LI] The commanders of Hezbollah’s Radwan Forces, who were eliminated in Friday’s Israeli airstrike, planned an October 7-style invasion of Israel in response to the recent pager blasts, Arab and Israeli media reports indicate.

Senior Hezbollah terrorist Ibrahim Aqil and other top commanders of the Radwan Force had gathered to discuss their so-called "Plan to Conquer the Galilee" when four Israeli missiles hit their underground hideout below a parking lot in central Beirut.

Aqil, the mastermind of the 1983 Marine Barracks bombing, and 20 other Hezbollah commanders were killed in the precisely targeted Israeli airstrike, eliminating the entire command structure of the Iranian-trained Radwan Force.

Always helpful to put a face with a name.

#5  Tens of thousands is a start — we’ve been getting reports of 200,000 for years. On the other hand, it was around q decade ago that Bibi went to the UN with maps of where Hezbollah had weapons stashes in schools, mosques, and private homes. So it’s just a matter of working the map.

I’ve been waiting a long time for this — the secondaries are going to be epic.

Did Covid ‘Vaccines' Caused 74% of ALL Deaths?
[SlayNews] An explosive study has sent shockwaves through the medical and scientific communities after finding that Covid mRNA shots are "directly" linked to 74% of all recorded deaths.

The damning study uncovered evidence in autopsy data showing that Covid injection contributed to a staggering 73.9% of all deaths around the world.

.However, the study has been met with unprecedented censorship. A quick internet check shows it has a very high "Fact Check Count". Which most avoids list the name of the study so that a person read it themselves.

The research team behind the study was made up of some of America’s leading oncologists, cardiologists, doctors, and scientists, including:

Nicolas Hulscher
Paul E. Alexander
Richard Amerling
Heather Gessling
Roger Hodkinson
William Makis
Harvey A. Risch
Mark Trozzi
Peter A. McCullough

The archived pre-proof of the study is titled A Systematic REVIEW of Autopsy findings in deaths after covid-19 vaccination, in the Dutch journal Elsevier Forensic Science International, which has been around since 1972.

Kass: Who'll Stay in Chicago Now?
[JohnKassNews] No wonder that Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson continues to suffer those crippling panic attacks of his.

Chicago is falling apart. He’s completely out of his depth. He was unequipped for the job and his campaign was all about slogans, Marxist rhetoric from his allies in the Chicago Teachers Union, and race. Now those who can are in a rush to leave. He’s falling apart. His administration is falling apart. And the city is falling apart rapidly.

Forget the fake news "joy" of the Democratic National Convention that oozed out to promote Kamala Harris. She won’t help the city. And forget the corporate media cheerleaders who’ve tried to paper-over the city’s infected wounds to promote Democrat power. I spent 40 years covering the city’s politics.

Throughout all those years, the joke in Chicago was that any time things looked bad, at least we weren’t Detroit. But now that’s an insult to Detroit which is on the ascent. And the people of both cities know it. The city’s self-inflicted wounds are septic now.

Chicago, the city of my birth, the great city of great restaurants and earthy but realistic politics, is now a city that is unaffordable and unsafe. The public schools prepare Chicago schoolchildren only for prison, not success in life. Public transportation is dangerous and filthy and smells like a urinal. Only the poor use it or those who have no other choice. The city government is a billion dollars in debt. And the public schools are a billion in debt. Where’s the money? Johnson has no clue.

And now things will get worse beginning today. Chicago, already plagued by violent crime, will get worse beginning Sunday. That’s because Johnson let the contract for the revolutionary crime-fighting technology called ShotSpotter to lapse without a replacement. Although it alerted police to gunshots and helped police make arrests, Johnson derided it as "walkie talkie on a stick."

Johnson campaigned against it, loudly insisting that it led to "over-policing" which is code used by leftist Democrats to refer to arrests of black youths by police. It’s a racial thing with him. And with all those who backed him politically.

Black aldermen, representing black residents who are most often the victims of violent crime, have tried to keep ShotSpotter alive, knowing that it could lead to more arrests of racial minority gang members, but Johnson has promised to veto any plan to save it. And corporate media types tie themselves up in knots trying to explain a simple, but terrible truth:

The mayor of Chicago would rather protect the violent over his citizens. He’d rather embrace repeat gang offenders than the people who need his protection. As the corrupt corporate media becomes anxious and defensive about Johnson’s self-destructive reasoning, like the clownish leftist fools mocked by Matt Walsh in "Am I a Racist?" a great city is dying.

Now Johnson’s approval rating is an abysmal 27 percent makes him the most unpopular mayor of a Democrat Convention city in decades.

He has lost allies in the Chicago City Council by not paying attention to what is important: The people of his city. They want to be safe as possible. But he wants to get rid of the ShotSpotter technology that helps police make quick arrests. Johnson apparently doesn’t like that and his political inexperience and buffoonery allowed the City Council to organize against him.

Johnson from happier days leading CTU strikes

Johnson is like an insect that has been pinned. He’s stuck between his political ideology, trying to serve his masters (or mistresses) of the Chicago Teachers Union, and political survival, hence all those panic attacks.

And obviously the schools don’t educate the children. They can’t even read or do math at grade level, a national disgrace, but now more panic attack news for the mayor: News reports that the schoolteachers were told to give passing grades to illegal migrant children who are squeezing the native born out of classrooms.

Violent crime on the increase—not decreasing as the liars of corporate media keep prattling on about. Crime is up 40 percent over 2019 levels. And we already know that Chicago is the murder capital of America.

Some of you may have noticed something about this column written by a longtime Chicago newspaper man. I’ve put in links to Wirepoints.org and the Illinois Policy Institute, but not the Chicago Sun Times or my old paper the Tribune. Why not? The Trib went woke and broke and neither paper covers crime as they used to.

Fran Spielman and Tim Novak of the Sun Times know what they’re doing. And the Tribune’s Jason Meisner and Ray Long understand political corruption and its corrosive nature. But street crime is as problematic for the papers as ShotSpotter is for Johnson. It is to be avoided politely lest they offend prominent and wealthy Democrats like Gov. Commodius Maximus.

But the website CWB Chicago does cover crime. They cover it very well. For example, CWB has documented another terrible truth: Since 2020, there have been 387 people arrested for murder and attempted murder while they were out on bail for other violent crimes.

And the establishment corporate media? Crickets.

Why do the metropolitan papers avoid street crime? My theory, they’d rather avoid dealing with repeat minority criminal offenders. And they’d rather avoid calling the architects of the chaos to account: Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans and the Soros prosecutor, outgoing Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx (D-Jussie Smollett).

The papers thunder on about ShotSpotter but leave Toni Preckwinkle alone? The political coverage by the papers is corrupt and embarrassing. But at least the people of Chicago now know where they stand—in the gutter.

Yet CWB Chicago and Wirepoints.org and Illinois Policy address the crime issue thoughtfully. And Blocklub Chicago. But the papers? Who reads the papers anymore? For the columnists? I don’t think so.

We used to read the papers on the el, remember? But who uses the CTA now? A city won’t last long if it doesn’t educate the kids or offer public transportation. Especially if that public transportation isn’t safe. Who takes public transportation? Not reasonably well off-old guys like me. And not the top CTA brass Poor women use it, poor people without options, kids who are trying to get home from school, and lost souls.

CTA boss Dorval Carter lives his protected life. The governor and the Chicago City council want him gone. But Johnson protects him. Johnson leaves Dorval Carter—who doesn’t take CTA—alone. Carter is still here drawing a fat salary, still playing the race card and not using public transportation and getting away with it.

Why?

You could also ask that of official Chicago:

Why?

They knew what had to be done—keep the public safe, keep violent predators behind bars, give the children a reasonable chance at an education, clean the urine and the smell from the CTA and make it safe, protect the downtown from the Black Lives Matter rioters of 2020. And they didn’t do it. Instead, they played race card politics and make speeches about guilt and in their world everyone is a victim.

The real victims? The taxpayers and the law abiding. The people who play by the rules are the victims.

Politicians knew what would happen. Success in the big-city political trade involves understanding and manipulating human nature. And yet they did nothing.

I can imagine the Democrat machine hacks out there, the new political hacks from CTU and SEIU tweeting up a hissy fit about what I’ve written here, but they can’t silence me now. Don’t they understand simple economics? Without graybeards who can pay for a decent meal and entertainment, those old guys going downtown taking their wives out on a weekend, would there still be restaurants or theater?

No.

A few years ago I spoke to some very nice people at a dinner engagement in the Gold Coast. These were people with real money. They loved Chicago and didn’t ever want to leave. Betty and I never wanted to leave, either.

But the others at the dinner were isolated and insulated from street crime in Chicago, and they also bought homes in Naples and Marco Island Florida and other civilized places. In my after-dinner talk dinner, I asked them if they planned on ever moving back to Chicago.

Just raise your hands, I said.

No one raised their hands.

So who’ll stay in Chicago now? Only those who are financially tied to it, and those who can’t afford to leave.

But others? They’ve got options, too.

Just this week, my daughter and I watched "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" - a John Hughes movie that he described in interviews as a love letter to Chicago. Chicago as it was.

Government Corruption
Warnock ‘very concerned' about Georgia elections board ruling requiring hand-counting of ballots
[Washington Examiner] Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) voiced his concerns about the Georgia State Election Board ruling on Friday that will require ballots in Georgia to be hand-counted by election workers the night of the election in addition to the normal machine tallies that take place.

Speaking on Inside with Jen Psaki Sunday, Warnock said he is "very concerned" about this ruling, linking it to former President Donald Trump’s efforts to "find" votes in Georgia in 202

"I’m very concerned, Jen. All of us should remember that famous phone call, a man from Florida, calling in to Georgia saying he needed 11,780 votes. He didn’t get it. And apparently, these members of the state board of elections whom he calls pit bulls are out there doing his bidding and trying to create a scenario in which they can declare by fiat who the winner of Georgia is. ... This is how voter suppression happens, undermine votes a little bit here, a little bit there," he said.

The Georgia senator then claimed that this effort from the elections board is evidence that Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democrats are "winning" in Georgia.

"The news that Georgia voters ought to be paying attention to is this: The fact that they’re doing this means that they know we’re winning. They know that the momentum is with Kamala Harris, and this effort to turn the democracy on its head ... it won’t stand," Warnock said.

#2  ^ Ditto.

We here in GA know and the court records and even Videos of the Poll Worker, Mules and even Vans showing up after 12 Mid with newly "found" ballots.

Hell even Court records show Fulton County alone showed well over 17K more votes cast, than the number registered voters.

Posted by: NN2N1 || 09/23/2024 6:08 Comments || Top||

#3  If I understand this correctly, "hand-counting" means that after the paper ballots are tabulated by machine, the ballots themselves are counted to make sure the number of ballots run through the tabulators matches the total number of ballots cast.

When Hillary ran for Prez and lost, the City of Detroit tried to do a recount. This effort was abandoned because, for too many precincts, the number of actual ballots did not match the written count on the boxes they were stored in.

tl;dr: they are counting sheets of paper, not the votes *on* the paper.

Johnson Shrinks Again As Congress Reaches Shutdown Deal Without 'Proof Of Citizenship' SAVE Act
[ZERO] House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Sunday unveiled a 90-day band-aid to avoid yet another government shutdown which fails to include the SAVE Act, which would have required proof of citizenship at the time of voter registration - despite Donald Trump calling on Congressional Republicans not to pass a spending plan without "every ounce" of the proposal.

So, instead of playing chicken over the key issue of election integrity, the new continuing resolution (CR) - negotiated by both parties - would keep the government funded at current levels through Dec. 20, setting the stage for yet another funding fight before Christmas recess.

It includes an additional $231 million to help the Secret Service protect candidates during this election season and into next year after Donald Trump was almost assassinated twice.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Biden says working to avert wider war
Yes you are, my dear. And here is a nice chocolate pudding for you for saying so.
[GEO.TV] US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
has stated that his administration is working to prevent the conflict in the Middle East from escalating. His remarks come amid escalating festivities between Israel and Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel.
''We're going to do everything we can to keep the wider war from breaking out and we're still pushing hard,'' Biden told news hounds upon his return to the White House.

Israeli attacks in Lebanon have claimed the lives of at least 70 people over the past week. Since last October, the corpse count in Lebanon has exceeded 740, marking the most significant escalation between Israel and Hezbollah since the 2006 war.

Snow falls unexpectedly in South Africa, paralyzing traffic on roads
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Traffic on a number of highways is completely paralyzed due to unexpected snowfall in the Republic of South Africa (RSA). This was reported on September 21 by the local TV channel SABC News.
Bad luck.
Snowfall has hit parts of southern and southwestern South Africa, with the country's meteorological service describing the snowfall as "devastating". Traffic has been partially or completely disrupted on a number of highways in the affected areas. According to the South African National Roads Agency, several aid agencies are providing emergency assistance to road users trapped in the snow.

"The Sani Pass, Busmansnek and Mononch border crossings, which connect South Africa and Lesotho, have been closed due to inclement weather from 21 September until further notice," said South African Border Agency spokesperson Meme Mogotsi.

In addition, the Johannesburg-Durban expressway is closed. In some areas of the country, the cold has caused power grids and water pipes to fail. South African authorities have specified that the army will be called in to eliminate the consequences of the snowstorm in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. Multidisciplinary rescue operations will be launched as soon as it is safe.

According to forecaster Luthando Masimini, the weather will most likely clear up by the morning of September 22. At the same time, snow may give way to rain, the probability of which is estimated by meteorologists at 30%.

Snowfall is quite rare in South Africa; the last time snow fell here was in July 2023, and before that, the country's residents had only seen snow in 2012.

Earlier, Regnum news agency reported that in August, in the Momsky and Eveno-Bytantaysky districts of Yakutia, in the mountainous area where reindeer are usually grazed, there was snowfall for two days in a row.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
War correspondent Steshin calls the murder of Russell Bentley in the DPR a coincidence
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

To reiterate: Russell Bentley was an American convicted drug smuggler and former federal fugitive from Minnesota.

[Regnum] The murder of war correspondent Russell Bentley, call sign Texas, on the outskirts of Donetsk on April 8 occurred as a result of a “devilish” coincidence, war correspondent Dmitry Steishin wrote in his article for kp.ru.

He recalled that Bentley lived in the most shelled area of Donetsk. On the day of the tragedy, he was filling out documents at the Petrovsky district administration. The incoming air strikes began, and Bentley rushed to help the wounded. It is assumed that he was mistaken for an enemy.

"A man speaking with an accent, wearing a Stetson cowboy hat, who gave his call sign as Texas, could not help but provoke an unhealthy reaction in those who were assessing the damage after the shelling. And one thing led to another," Steshin noted.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on September 20, the Investigative Committee completed the preliminary investigation into the criminal case of Bentley's murder. The head of the department's media relations department, Svetlana Petrenko, clarified that the investigation was conducted against Russian servicemen Vitaly Vansyatsky, Vladislav Agaltsev, Vladimir Bazhin and Andrei Iordan. Depending on the role of each, they are accused of group abuse of power, use of violence and torture that resulted in the death of the victim, as well as concealment of a particularly serious crime by moving remains.

Bentley arrived in Donbass in 2014 and joined the militia, after which he fought in the Vostok battalion and took part in the battles for the Donetsk airport. Texas said that he was impressed by the courage and fortitude of the Donbass residents who resisted Ukrainian militants. He was also actively involved in volunteer activities and was awarded DPR awards. In March 2022, Bentley reported that he had raised $100,000 to help the residents of Donbass who suffered from Kiev's aggression.

International-UN-NGOs
Pakistan set to raise Palestine, Kashmir and Islamophobia issues at UNGA
Very good. It’ll keep the powerless talk shop busy while the putative grown-ups wheel and deal elsewhere.
[GEO.TV] Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be attending the upcoming 79th Session of the United Nations
...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly...
General Assembly (UNGA) wherein he will highlight Paleostine, Islamophobia
...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do...
and other issues during his address slated for September 27, the Foreign Office said in a statement on Sunday.

The premier, set to attend the UNGA session from September 23 to 27, will underscore the importance of addressing long-standing issues on the agenda of the UN Security Council (UNSC) such as Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
(IIOJK) and Paleostine.

The prime minister, a day earlier, reached London for a short tour from where he would depart for New York on Monday (tomorrow).

"Departing for New York to represent Pakistain at the 79th UN General Assembly. Looking forward to a busy week full of engagements. We will present Pakistain's perspective to the world," the PM said in a post on X.

Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was also scheduled to travel to the US for the UNGA session, however, his trip was cancelled hours before PM Shehbaz left for London.

"In view of some important upcoming diplomatic engagements and the ongoing preparations for the 23rd meeting of the Council of the Heads of Governments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Deputy PM and FM [Ishaq] Dar will not proceed to New York for the 79th session of the UNGA," an FO spokesperson said.

Sources told The News that the decision for the cancellation of the foreign minister's trip to New York was taken on Friday afternoon in a meeting at the FO.

Expanding on PM Shehbaz's trip, the FO said that the premier will not only reaffirm Pakistain's commitment to multilateralism and support for the UN's role in fostering global peace, security, and prosperity but will also accentuate the importance of addressing the inequities in international economic relations and reforming the international financial architecture during his time in New York.

The premier will also highlight the country's priority to place people at the heart of the domestic and global development agenda.

He will express Islamabad's commitment as an incoming member of the UNSC for the year 2025-26, to work with all UN member states to uphold the UN Charter, preventing conflict, fostering peace, and promoting global prosperity, the FO added.

Furthermore, PM Shehbaz would urge the international community to take decisive measures in addressing climate change and countering the rising tide of Islamophobia.

Moreover, the premier will attend several high-level meetings on the sidelines of the UNGA Session including the "High-Level Meeting on Existential Threat posed by Sea-level Rise," and the UNSC's open debate on "Leadership for Peace".

The prime minister's schedule also includes bilateral meetings with several world leaders, including the UN secretary-general and UNGA president.

Indian man 'linked' to pagers that blasted in Lebanon
[GEO.TV] Name of Indian-origin Norwegian businessman Ranson Jose is surfacing in media for his company's alleged link in selling the pagers that went kaboom! in Leb

The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, while investigation on the matter is underway.

As per Hungarian news site Telex, Jose is founder of Norta Global, based in Bulgaria. The Indian-origin man himself lives in Norway.

Meanwhile,

vigilance around house of Ranson's parents in Kerala, India, has been stepped up, Indian media reported.

The 36-year-old suspect had moved from India to Norway 10 years ago along with his brother, the media added.

As per Rooters, the company website, that has been deleted now, advertised services including consulting, technology integration, recruitment and outsourcing.

8 Democrats Join Republicans in House Resolution to Overturn Federal EV Rule
[Epoch Times] The U.S. House of Representatives on Sept. 20 voted to overturn a Biden administration rule that sets tougher emissions standards for car manufacturers. The resolution says the rule would artificially constrain consumer vehicle choice and weaken U.S. manufacturing and energy security.

The joint resolution that passed in a 215—191 vote—with eight Democrats in support and one Republican in opposition—would nullify the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) new restrictions on emissions from cars, light trucks, pick-ups, and vans for model years 2027 to 2032.
Yes, make the Democrats go on record defending their destructive stupidity, knowing that the Senate and President Biden will ignore it. Something to tee up again next term, assuming either President Trump wins and the Republicans have majorities in both houses of Congress or the Republicans win veto-proof majorities in both House and Senate to overcome President Harris.
Although the rule does not explicitly impose an electric vehicle (EV) mandate, it is expected to force manufacturers to electrify more of their fleets to comply.

The resolution passed with the support of Democrat Reps. Henry Cuellar, Vicente Gonzalez, and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Texas, Yadira Caraveo of Colorado, Don Davis of North Carolina, Jared Golden of Maine, Marcy Kaptur of Ohio, and Mary Sattler Peltola of Alaska.

One Republican, Rep. Brian Fitzgerald (R-Pa.), voted against the measure.

Ahead of the vote, the White House announced its opposition to the resolution, contending that it would prompt uncertainty in the U.S. auto market and supply chains and cede the electric vehicle and battery markets to China.

Macklemore chants ''F--k America'' to cheers at concert benefiting Hamas-connected UN agency
[NYPOST] The rapper Macklemore told a crowd of Seattle concertgoers ''F— America,'' according to video of his recent ''Paleostine Will Live Forever'' performance shared on X.

''Straight up, say it. I'm not gonna stop you. I'm not gonna stop you,'' Macklemore said, appearing to reference chants from the crowd. ''Yeah, F— America,'' the Grammy-winning performer said, sending the crowd into cheers.

Portland Public Schools bars teachers from ''personal or political'' classroom displays
[NYPOST] Portland Public Schools has adopted a new rule barring teachers from displaying their personal views on a ''political or personal issue'' in the classroom.

According to The Oregonian, the new guidance was ''quietly'' adopted under an administrative directive on August 24.

''Content on classroom walls, bulletin boards or otherwise displayed in the classroom must be related to the curriculum or district sponsored pursuant to [the district's academic freedom policy],'' the rule says. ''Those spaces cannot be used for an employee's personal expression whether that is related to a political or personal issue.''

Portland Public Schools told Fox News Digital that the new rule has been in the works for a year and ''acts as a reminder to all of our student-centered mission and also reminds our staff to use District spaces for educational purposes.''

''The AD is content neutral, and we believe supports the goal of remaining focused on creating a rich educational environment for students,'' the statement said.

''Personal expression by employees is not in furtherance of PPS's academic purposes. Academic purposes, of course, will vary depending on the course content. Displays should be focused on student's needs and tethered to the curriculum, not on the personal views of the teacher,'' the statement continued.

The spokesperson confirmed that the new guidance does not bar teachers from displaying pro-LGBTQ or pro-Black Lives materials in the classroom.
Because child grooming and bloody Communist revolution are neither personal nor political, unlike that creepy conservative and racist, Jew-loving stuff. Got it.

Police K-9 dies in line of duty during fiery South Carolina shootout
[FoxNews] Officer Mikka died and an officer was wounded after the suspect opened fire in rural Lee County

A search for a suspect ended in a fiery shootout in South Carolina that left a law enforcement officer wounded and a police K-9 dead.

K-9 Mikka was killed during a standoff in Lee County on Friday afternoon, following a chaotic standoff with a suspect wanted in the shooting of a McBee Police Department officer on Thursday night.

Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) responded to Lee County as part of a multi-agency search for an armed and dangerous subject, identified as Altson Modlin, 27, according to the Horry County Police Department.
He looks clean-cut and pleasant in the photo at the link, so he probably wasn’t on drugs or schizophrenic.
McBee Police Chief Tim Knight said Molidin fired at the officer "more than 60 times," WPDE reported.

Following the shooting in Chesterfield County, a search spanning multiple counties occurred and Modlin was located around 10 a.m., when a deadly shootout ensued, officials said.

Lee County Sheriff Daniel Simon said law enforcement officers were following Modlin's car when they ran into live fire from him from an assault-style rifle, News19 confirmed.

Simon confirmed to WPDE that one of his deputies was grazed by a bullet by shots fired at officers on the scene of the standoff.

Simon said a patrol car burned after it was struck by bullets.

"Shots that actually hit the vehicle. The vehicle ignited and caught fire, and, you know, she obviously couldn't get out of the vehicle," Simon explained to News19. "The officers couldn't get to the vehicle to open the door, because they, like I said, they were under duress. They couldn't get to the vehicle."

Tragically, the officer couldn't get to K-9 Mikka inside the car due to all the shots fired, and the dog died in the fire, Simon told WPDE.

Authorities said nearly 200 law enforcement officers and 10 agencies were in Lee County to assist with the standoff.

Qualcomm approached Intel about a takeover: report
[NYPOST] Qualcomm made a takeover approach to chipmaker Intel in recent days, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Intel's shares closed up 3.3%, while Qualcomm was down 2.9%.

Intel has been attempting to turn its business around by focusing on its chip foundry unit and artificial intelligence processors, but its shares have plummeted in recent months as it cut jobs, suspended its dividend and faced a high-profile board member resignation.

A deal was far from certain, the WSJ report said, adding that even if Intel is receptive to an offer from Qualcomm, a deal of that size would attract antitrust scrutiny.

To get the deal done, Qualcomm could intend to sell assets or parts of Intel to other buyers, according to the report.

Aqil's replacement as Radwan force was trained in Iran
Good to know.
[Ynet] According to the Al-Hadath network in Saudi Arabia, Ibrahim Aqil, who was killed on Friday in Beirut along with the top commanders of Hezbollah's elite Radwan unit, will be replaced by his deputy - Ali Reda Abbas. Ali Mussa Daqduq, who previously established a Hezbollah-operated unit on the Syrian Golan Heights will act as his second in command. His son was killed there in an Israeli airstrike.

According to the Saudi outlet, Abbas who is known as Abu Hussein Barish will be named the new commander of the Radwan Force.

...Over the years Abbas held numerous military positions, was trained in Iran and was one of Hezbollah's notable operations officers in southern Lebanon.

Al-Daqduq, was accused of kidnapping and killing five American soldiers in Karbala, Iraq in 2007. He returned to Lebanon after being released from prison in 2012 after an Iraqi court acquitted him of involvement in those crimes.
Released not because he didn’t do it, perhaps, but because he has friends in high Iranian places.

It is interesting that that the Al Qaeda founding in Khost, Afghanistan in August 1988 renamed its Sunni Muslim founders and leaders with the nom de guerre Abu (usually followed by a location or something of personal significance). It seems that the Shiite have followed this practice, proving once again thier position as junior grade Muslims.

Italy''s conservative leader Giorgia Meloni has overseen 64% plunge in illegal immigration, foreign minister boasts
Congratulations, guys!
[NYPOST] Under Italia's conservative Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, the nation's level of illegal immigration has plunged 64% after she cracked down hard on smugglers and worked with Italia's neighbors to stop the flow, the country's foreign minister boasted.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Sunday that her success shows that enforcing tough border policies is possible — it just takes hard work.

''It's not easy. We've worked hard to achieve this goal,'' Tajani told Maria Bartiromo on Fox News' ''Sunday Morning Futures.'' ''We are very happy for this. We are not against legal immigration, rather against illegal immigration.''

''We are working with an agreement with Tunisia, with Egypt, with Libya. We are working with the North African countries for reducing the boats coming —[and] fighting against the crime.''

Bad neighbor? New Mexico governor criticizes Texas for securing her border, nearly a year ago
[JustTheNews] Michelle Lujan Grisham is Texas' only neighbor who refused to respond to Abbott's call for help to secure Texas' border at the height of the border crisis.

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham recently expressed outrage over "Texas' latest move" installing barriers in an area where they have been for nearly one year.

A KRQE News report claiming Texas Army National Guard troops were erecting concertina wire fencing along the Rio Grande River near El Paso "on the riverbank that faces not Mexico, but New Mexico west of El Paso."

A British publication reported, "Which Mexico are you? New Mexico furious after Texas installs razor wire along its border."

Other news reports appear to have made similar claims.

Texas' OLS barriers bordering New Mexico aren't new. They've been there since October.

Soldiers have erected barriers through Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's border security mission, Operation Lone Star. The area in question is near West Paisano Drive in El Paso, Texas, extending near the Anapra, N.M., bridge, which The Center Square observed last May.

"Texas has been so successful in securing our southern border, migrants are now illegally crossing into New Mexico, and then into Texas," Gov. Abbott's press secretary Andrew Mahaleris told The Center Square. "To be clear, Texas began installing barriers on the border of New Mexico last October. This barrier has proven to be effective in deterring migrants who illegally crossed into the United States."

Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, told The Independent, "Abbott's latest move was a 'political stunt' that will have 'will have no meaningful impact on our nation's broken immigration system'" and Abbott "seems to be pushing to make Texas its own country without regard for his neighbors."

She made the claim after Texas Department of Public Safety OLS officers took down a human smuggling ring tied to Mexican cartels, Nuevo Cartel De Juarez and La Linea Cartel, operating out of El Paso County and in Lujan Grisham's state in Sunland Park. They seized weapons, body armor, and ammunition and arrested alleged human smugglers, The Center Square reported.

The FBI has warned that the region near El Paso is a major human smuggling and kidnapping destination, located across the river from Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, where rival gangs and cartels are fighting for control of a multi-billion-dollar human and drug smuggling enterprise. The Santa Teresa, NM, CBP station is the busiest in the El Paso CBP sector, The Center Square reported. Texas DPS officers are also catching human smugglers and illegal border crossers after they enter New Mexico and then enter El Paso, OLS officials told The Center Square.

Lujan Grisham is Texas' only neighbor who refused to respond to Abbott's call for help to secure Texas' border at the height of the border crisis.

Her other neighbor, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, was among the first 12 governors to pledge support, The Center Square reported. He's also been calling for border security measures with Republican governors since September 2021.

In a joint statement, the first dozen governors participating in OLS said, "President Biden has abandoned his constitutional responsibility to secure the border... The illegal flow of criminals, drugs, and contraband moving across our border creates an untenable situation for all states … Republican governors are providing support where Biden failed."

Stitt deployed Oklahoma National Guard troops to Texas because it was "in the best interest of Oklahoma and the nation to take decisive action to address the federal government's utter failure to secure our southern border," he said.

Texas' other neighbor, Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, agrees. One of his first acts after he was elected was to travel to Texas to see how he could help. In February, he asked the Louisiana legislature for their support to participate in OLS and got it, The Center Square reported. Receiving their support, Landry said, "is one of the proudest days I can even ever have imagined to see, all these great men and women here who are dedicated to public safety and to the security not only of the state of Louisiana but of the nation."

"Texas has always been a great neighbor to us," Landry continued. "If they're calling, we should heed that call," adding that legislative leaders "all agreed that we should do that."

Louisiana cities were combating crime "we can directly trace to a border that is wide open that is letting the cartel do as they please into this country. Because the federal government will not act, because the president will not do his job... then the states are going to act."

With the help of partnering states, Texas OLS operations began shutting down illegal border crossings, forcing cartel operations west into New Mexico, Arizona and California, The Center Square first reported.

Since March 2021, OLS officers have apprehended more than 520,600 illegal border crossers, made more than 47,000 criminal arrests, with more than 40,800 felony charges, and seized more than 543 million lethal doses of fentanyl—enough to kill everyone in the United States and Mexico combined, according to the latest data from Abbott's office.

"Every individual who is apprehended or arrested and every ounce of drugs seized would have otherwise made their way into communities" across America, Abbott argues. "With the support of half of America's governors, Texas continues to step up and deploy every tool and strategy to stop the unprecedented illegal immigration at our southern border."

Sri Lanka elects Marxist lawmaker as next president after political and economic upheaval
Interesting times once again for those poor Sri Lankans. Ah well — it looks like they’re going to be another demonstration of why communism doesn’t work.
[NYPOST] Marxist politician Anura Kumara Dissanayake won Sri Lanka's presidential election, the Election Commission announced Sunday, after voters rejected the old political guard that has been widely accused of pushing the South Asian nation toward economic ruin.

Dissanayake, whose pro-working class and anti-political elite campaigning made him popular among youth, secured victory over opposition leader Sajith Premadasa and incumbent liberal President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who took over the country two years ago after its economy hit bottom.

Dissanayake received 5,740,179 votes, followed by Premadasa with 4,530,902, Election Commission data showed.

Zakharova: Russia will not participate in 'peace summits' on Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Russian side does not intend to participate in the so-called "peace summits" on Ukraine, which have nothing to do with the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on the evening of September 21.

Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova
"Representatives of Russia have not participated in any meetings within the framework of the "Bürgenstock process" and do not intend to participate. This process itself has nothing to do with the settlement," her comments, published on the website of the Foreign Ministry, read.

Zakharova called such “peace summits” another manifestation of fraud by “the Anglo-Saxons and their Ukrainian puppets,” specifying that another such event is intended to push through the unviable so-called “peace formula” of the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, as an uncontested basis for resolving the conflict, to gain support for it in the world, and, on his behalf, to present Russia with an ultimatum to capitulate.

"We will not participate in such 'summits'. But we do not reject the political and diplomatic settlement of the crisis, we are ready to discuss truly serious proposals that take into account the situation "on the ground", the emerging geopolitical realities and the corresponding initiative formulated on June 14 by the President (of Russia) Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Without Russia and taking into account its interests, it is impossible to achieve a fair and sustainable settlement," the diplomat noted.

She emphasized that Kyiv and Western countries do not think about this because they need an armed conflict, which is confirmed by the invasion of Ukrainian formations into the border area of the Kursk region and permission for Western weapons strikes deep into Russia, which Zelensky is asking for.

"This is a continuation of terror against the population of our country. We will not talk to terrorists," Zakharova concluded.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on September 21, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry denied reports about the alleged participation of Russian representatives in online meetings with Kiev in preparation for the second summit in Switzerland. She emphasized that the Russian Federation will not participate in such fraudulent initiatives.

On September 20, Zelensky announced his alleged intention to end the conflict with Russia. According to him, this supposedly requires strengthening Ukraine as much as possible and holding a second “peace” summit.

Moscow has repeatedly noted that it is ready for a peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine, provided that all of the demands of the Russian Federation set before the start of the special operation are met, as well as provided that the new territorial realities are recognized. Thus, on September 20, member of the State Duma Defense Committee Viktor Zavarzin stated that Russia will not negotiate a settlement of the conflict on Kiev's terms. He added that the Russian president had previously outlined the conditions for the negotiations.

On September 6, Putin reaffirmed Russia's readiness for dialogue if Ukraine shows a desire in deeds, not in words, but first it is necessary to drive Ukrainian militants out of the border area of Kursk Oblast. The head of state recalled that the current Ukrainian government is illegitimate, since Zelensky's presidential term has ended, and he canceled the elections, citing martial law.

Netanyahu's New Front: Israel and Hezbollah Exchange Massive Blows
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Kirill Velesov
A good summary. See also here and here.
[REGNUM] On the night of September 22, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported a successful attack on 290 Hezbollah sites in Lebanon. According to the Israelis, 400 of the Shiite movement's rocket launchers were hit.

The next round of escalation in the Middle East, which already reeks of gunpowder and blood, was triggered by the mass detonation of electronic devices belonging to members of the Lebanese Hezbollah on September 17 and 18.

At that time, a mass detonation of pagers, radios and other electronic devices killed at least 37 people and injured more than 3,000. Israel officially denies any involvement in the explosions.
I don't think that's true. They just offered a "No comment"
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened Hezbollah, saying that in just a few days, Israeli forces had carried out a series of attacks that the enemy could not even imagine. “If Hezbollah has not gotten the message, I promise you, they will,” he assured.

Earlier, the head of the Israeli Defense Ministry, Yoav Galant, also announced his readiness to continue military operations against Hezbollah. During a visit to the country's Air Force command post, he said: " Our actions will continue until the goal is achieved: when we safely return the residents of northern Israel to their homes."

However, Hezbollah understood the Israeli message in its own way. Several hours after the Israeli attack, an air raid siren woke up residents of Haifa, Nazareth, and Migda Hemek. At about 5 a.m. Moscow time, Hezbollah armed units fired more than 100 rockets at northern Israel.

The attack targeted military-industrial complex factories that specialize in the production of electronic communications equipment and devices. These enterprises are located in the Zovulon area, north of the city of Haifa. Hezbollah called the strike a response to the sabotage of September 17 and 18 and the massacre of children and women in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Air Force base in Ramat David was also hit. Two waves of Fajr-1 and Fajr-2 rockets were launched from Lebanese territory. The Lebanese allegedly conducted aerial reconnaissance of the area using drones back in July.

"We have never seen anything like this, not even in 2006. We all assumed that there would be a response from Hezbollah, but we didn't think it would be so strong, especially when there is the Iron Dome that is supposed to protect us," a resident of Kiryat Bialik, a suburb of Haifa, told the weekly Maariv.

In turn, the Israeli side reported that most of the air targets during this attack were intercepted by air defense systems. Only a few people received minor shrapnel wounds.

The day before, due to the ongoing rocket attacks in the northern regions of Israel, the country's authorities introduced a special situation. According to IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari, the special regime will be in effect north of Haifa. Citizens of the country will be able to continue working and studying where there is an opportunity to take refuge in shelters. Mass events are now prohibited.

Meanwhile, the number of victims of the Israeli Air Force strike on the suburb of Lebanon's capital Beirut continues to grow. Earlier, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported 45 dead. By the evening of September 22, the country's Civil Defense Authority had already reported 50 dead. The fate of another 11 people is still unknown.

On September 20, the Israelis fired four rockets at the Dahiya area. The target of the attack, according to Galei Tzahal Radio, was a bunker housing the movement's special operations commander, Ibrahim Akil. At least 15 of his comrades were killed along with him.

The U.S. State Department is urging its citizens to leave Lebanon while they can still board commercial flights due to the unpredictable nature of the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. "The U.S. Embassy may be unable to assist American citizens who choose to remain," the statement said.

Earlier, the Pentagon reported the arrival of a US Navy group led by the aircraft carrier USS Truman CVN75 in the eastern Mediterranean Sea on September 23.

Politico, citing sources in the US presidential administration, reports that American authorities fear the start of a full-scale military conflict. The latest attacks on Lebanon, American officials believe, are a prelude to the start of a military campaign.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog also declared his country's reluctance to enter into a new war. "However, Lebanon has become hostage to the terrorist organization and, at the same time, the political party Hezbollah," he said in an interview with the British television channel Sky News.

Director of the Center for Middle East and Central Asian Studies Semyon Bagdasarov believes that the current Israeli cabinet will not win the war in Gaza. Therefore, Netanyahu needs a second front to sweeten the bitterness of failures in Palestine and improve his precarious position within Israel itself.

"Netanyahu will not win in Gaza in any case. He understands this himself, so he is trying to find happiness elsewhere," the orientalist believes.

The number of trained Hezbollah fighters, according to the organization's Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, is about 100,000 people. This will greatly complicate Israel's military actions in the event of a transition to a ground operation, the price for which could be prohibitively high.
Or possibly not, depending. Where did Hezbollah source their guns and bullets and cars? What about their pretty uniforms?

#2  "The State Department is urging its citizens to leave Lebanon..., due to the unpredictable nature of the conflict... Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
1944: Two days of 'neutrality'. How the Estonian president escaped from our army
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Andrey Zvorykin

[REGNUM] On the morning of September 22, 1944, units of the 8th Rifle Corps of the 2nd Shock Army entered Tallinn – or rather, stormed in. In 24 hours, the Soviet riflemen covered a distance of 100 kilometers. The surprise factor worked.

The Tallinn operation of 1944, carried out from September 17 to 26 with the aim of defeating the enemy on Estonian territory and liberating Tallinn, part of the strategic Baltic operation of 1944. Residents talk with Soviet tank crews who liberated Tallinn.

The fighters captured 25 Nazi planes, 185 guns, and in the port, a dozen and a half ships on which the Nazis kept prisoners of war and civilians ready to be sent to the Reich.

The 8th Rifle Corps was called Estonian, and not without reason. In this almost 20,000-strong unit - with the 221st Tank Regiment and the Tazuya Air Squadron attached to it - 70% of the personnel were, in fact, Estonians.

This in itself refutes the established idea that the inhabitants of the Baltic republics who were capable of holding arms either joined the “forest brothers” or “collaborated” with the Nazis in menial jobs, or even in the ranks of the Estonian SS Legion.

The fighters who liberated Tallinn were commanded by Lieutenant General Lembit Pern, an ethnic Estonian, although originally from the Stavropol region. His predecessor in this post, Major General Jaan (Ivan Markovich) Lukas, had been a career officer in the army of the “bourgeois” Estonian Republic until 1940.

But in modern Estonian – and more broadly, Western – historiography, liberation from Nazism is presented as a Soviet (read: Russian) invasion followed by the restoration of the pre-war “occupation.”

It is claimed that the Red Army did not drive out the Nazis in the Baltic operation, but stopped an attempt to restore Estonia's independence. Which, to put it mildly, is not entirely true.

SWING FOR THE EIGHTH STRIKE
By September 1944, the Red Army had been victoriously advancing west for more than six months, also known as "Stalin's Ten Strikes."
Oh! Nothing to do with baseball, which explains why I was so confused. My apologies — carry on.
By this time, the entire territory of the country within the pre-1939 borders had already been liberated, as well as the Moldavian SSR, Romania, Bulgaria, most of the Lithuanian SSR, and part of Poland.

The Baltic offensive operation, which became the eighth strike, began to be prepared in the winter of 1944.

Lembit Pern recalled in his memoirs, “ In the Whirlwind of the War Years ”:

On February 20, at a meeting in Krasnoye Selo, the commander of the Leningrad Front, General of the Army (future Marshal) Leonid Govorov, set the task: by May 1, the 8th Estonian Rifle Corps must be fully prepared for entry into battle on Estonian territory.

Andrei Zhdanov was also present at the same meeting as a member of the front’s military council.

According to Pern’s memoirs, he “gave a high assessment to the open letter “Why We Fight for Soviet Estonia,” published on December 7, 1943, which was signed by 382 officers who had previously served in the Estonian bourgeois army and transferred to serve in the Red Army.”

The declared goal was to restore the pre-war status quo: Estonian statehood in the form of a Soviet republic.
No doubt Estonia would have liked to have a different goal, but never mind.
"ESTONIA, IN CASE OF WAR, WILL SIDE WITH RUSSIA"
Let us recall that Estonia, like the other two Baltic republics, became part of the USSR in 1940.

After the German invasion of Poland, this region could well have become next in Adolf Hitler's plans to expand "living space" to the east.

By that time, Lithuania had already felt some of the German aggression, having given up Klaipeda – or, in German, Memel – to Hitler in March 1939, even before the start of World War II.

In June of the same year, the three Baltic states hastened to conclude non-aggression pacts with Germany.

As the Western patrons of the Balts, Britain and France, withdrew, the region found itself in the Third Reich's gravitational field.

Winston Churchill, who was then in opposition, lamented: "Hitler managed without difficulty to penetrate deep into the weak defenses of the belated and half-hearted coalition directed against him."

Taking into account the possible appearance of the Wehrmacht somewhere near Narva already in 1939, the Soviet Union could not afford to “surrender” the Baltics.

In August 1939, after Moscow's negotiations with London and Paris on collective security had failed, the USSR concluded a non-aggression pact with Germany (the last in a series of similar agreements by the Germans). According to the Molotov - Ribbentrop Pact, Estonia and Latvia were in the Soviet Union's sphere of influence.

The pact allowed the Soviet Union to gain time, and the Baltic peoples to remain untouched by World War II for the time being.

From September 28 to October 10, 1939, non-aggression treaties were signed between the USSR and the three republics, which included agreements on the deployment of Soviet military bases on the territory of the latter.

Yes, not all Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians sympathized with the Bolsheviks (although, on the other hand, one can recall the Latvian Riflemen, Litbel, the first Latvian SSR, the Estonian Labor Commune and the Tallinn Uprising of 1924).

But, firstly, in 1939, Moscow assured that it would not interfere in the politics of the “bourgeois republics” – or more precisely, right-wing authoritarian regimes.

And secondly, the prospect of integration into the Reich could please the Ostsee (Baltic) Germans, but not their former subjects - the indigenous peoples.

As early as 1938, the Czechoslovak ambassador to Latvia reported:

"It is easy to see that the majority of the Latvian people are anti-German. Such anti-German sentiments date back to the times of the Baltic barons... In the event of war, Estonia... would rather side with Russia than with Germany."
It must be remembered that to the Nazis all Slavs were Untermenschen — slated for genocide immediately following the Jews, whereas Soviet Russia merely wanted to eradicate the capitalists, the bourgeoisie, the native military caste, the aristocracy, and the intellectuals, leaving the obedient and leaderless working class intact.
Hitler did not hide his plans - in May 1939, at a meeting in the Reich Chancellery, he declared: “For us, it is a question of expanding living space and ensuring supplies, as well as solving the Baltic problem.”
See?
The German blitzkrieg in France in May–June 1940 and the de facto end of the war in Western Europe (and thus the transfer of the Wehrmacht to the East) forced the Soviet leadership to take the next step – the Sovietization of the Baltics, including Estonia. And it cannot be said that this process did not meet with support “on the ground.”

In post-war Estonia, the events of June 1940 were known as the June Revolution. Dictator President Konstantin Päts agreed to Moscow's demands to accept additional troops and ensure a change of government.

On June 19, Prime Minister Jüri Uluots resigned. On the evening of June 21, after a series of mass pro-Soviet rallies, Johannes Vares-Barbarus, a modernist writer and left-wing politician, was appointed the new Prime Minister. On August 25, Estonia joined the USSR as a union republic.

Sovietization lasted exactly one year.

"TO PREVENT CLAIMS TO THE CREATION OF STATES"
On August 28, 1941, Tallinn was occupied by the Wehrmacht, and the Germans occupied all of Estonia by early September. The "new order" can be judged by the instructional letter from Reich Minister for the Eastern Territories Alfred Rosenberg to the head of the Reichskommissariat Ostland (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus) Heinrich Lohse dated June 21, 1941:

"The Reich Commissioner of the Ostland must prevent the emergence of claims to the creation of Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian states independent of Germany. It is also necessary to constantly make it clear that all these areas are subject to German administration."

At the same time, as everywhere in occupied Europe, there were collaborators. Dr. Hjalmar Mäe, appointed to lead the “Estonian self-government” under the command of the General Commissioner of the Estland District, SA Obergruppenführer Karl-Sigmund Litzmann, “assisted” in organizing 25 concentration camps on Estonian territory.

During the work of the “self-government”, the Nazis and their accomplices from the paramilitary organization “Omakaitse” (“Self-Defense”) destroyed 61,000 disloyal civilians, 64,000 Soviet prisoners of war and actively participated in the “solution of the Jewish question”.

However, when the recruitment of “volunteers” for the Estonian SS Legion began in the spring of 1943 (they managed to recruit 5,300 volunteers, with a large number of deserters), the collaborators were not entrusted with the task - this was done by German officials of the Reichskommissariat.

In February 1944, amid a series of defeats on the Eastern Front, the occupiers rebranded themselves – instead of “self-government,” former Estonian politicians who had collaborated with the Reich were allowed to create the “National Committee of the Estonian Republic” (NKE). It was then that former Prime Minister Jüri Uluots emerged from oblivion – the Germans entrusted him with the leadership of the committee.

Modern Estonian historians emphasize that in April 1944, Uluots was elected acting president of Estonia at an underground meeting. But he was more notable for his agitation for joining the 20th SS Volunteer Infantry Division (1st Estonian). Incidentally, in 1999, the agitator Uluots was included in the list of the hundred greatest Estonians of the 20th century.

Estonian SS men had previously "distinguished themselves" in punitive expeditions in the Pskov region and Belarus - in shooting civilians, looting, destroying several Belarusian villages and mass deportation of "Ostarbeiters" for slave labor in Germany. Now they had to "defend" Estonia from the advancing Red Army.

HOW THE GERMANS MADE A STRATEGIC MISTAKE
In July 1944, the Red Army successfully advanced towards the former Soviet-Estonian border.

On July 24, the prelude to the liberation of Estonia began – the Narva operation. The enemy, fearing encirclement, began to retreat from the region to the fortified Tannenberg line.

On July 25, the 2nd Shock Army of the Leningrad Front under the command of Lieutenant General Ivan Fedyuninsky, with the support of the Baltic Fleet, crossed the Narva River. The city of Narva was liberated the following day, and by July 30, Soviet troops had reached the heavily fortified Tannenberg line, which halted the offensive.

By September 6, south of the Narva direction, the Tartu offensive had achieved success, leading to the liberation of the city of Tartu in southeastern Estonia and the creation of a second bridgehead suitable for an offensive deep into enemy territory.

The Germans expected that the Narva direction would be the main one for the Red Army. More of our troops were concentrated there (136,000 people), and Narva was much closer to the capital of Estonia, Tallinn.

But the Soviet command had a different view of the situation: the Red Army’s plan was to encircle the Wehrmacht units in Estonia.

For this purpose, the entire 2nd Shock Army, consisting of more than 100,000 people, over a thousand guns and about 4,000 armored vehicles, was secretly transferred to the Tartu direction on the eve of the start of the operation.

Here our troops were confronted by part of the German Army Group North, the Narva operational group, consisting of two corps, the main part of which defended the Narva Isthmus (the transfer of the 2nd Shock Army was not noticed by the Germans).

The operation began on September 17, 1944. After the first Soviet attacks, the German command realized its strategic mistake, and therefore on the same day the Germans began evacuating troops from Estonian territory.

By the evening of September 20, General Filipp Starikov's 8th Army and the 2nd Shock Army, advancing from the Narva and Tartu directions, joined forces in the area of the city of Rakvere, having advanced 70 kilometers. The next day, the offensive on Tallinn began.

And at that very moment, on September 18, Jüri Uluots proclaimed “Estonian independence.”

On September 20, the main Wehrmacht forces left Tallinn. The capital of the republic was in the hands of the NKE for two whole days. "President" Uluots appointed his subordinate Otto Tief as prime minister (his government is now considered legitimate).

The Tief cabinet managed to do the following: hang a small national flag in the city center on the Long Hermann tower next to the large Reichskriegsflagge - the German military flag, declare "neutrality in the current war" and even publish two issues of the newspaper "State Herald".

It was not possible to assemble a national army for a good reason: all those who wanted to “fight Bolshevism” fled towards Latvia along with the retreating Wehrmacht.

Therefore, on September 22, Soviet troops occupied the city without resistance. "President" Jüri Uluots managed to escape to neutral Sweden on September 20, the rest of the government was less lucky. Six people were arrested, five of them were sentenced to various terms, Jaan Maide, the chief of staff of the collaborationist "Omakaitse", appointed "commander-in-chief of the Estonian army", was shot for collaborating with the Nazis.

During the subsequent military actions, units of the Estonian pro-German militia, numbering about 2,000 people, nevertheless attempted to attack the Red Army, but to no avail. By September 26, the entire territory of the Estonian SSR, except for the Moonzund Islands, was liberated. Soviet troops entered Latvian territory, where they joined up with units of the 3rd Baltic Front of Colonel General Ivan Maslennikov fighting there.

BANDERA'S SLOGAN AGAINST THE BRONZE SOLDIER
In a week, Soviet troops managed to occupy the entire territory of mainland Estonia (they advanced about 40 kilometers per day); success was achieved due to the competent interaction of all types and branches of the military.

The Germans, despite significant losses, still managed to evacuate most of their troops to Latvia, where they would be surrounded in the Courland pocket until May 1945. But this was already agony.

The defeat of the Nazis and their collaborators in 1945 cannot be “retroactively cancelled”. But the memory of the joint fight against Nazism can be formatted. The attitude of the post-Soviet authorities of Estonia towards the Bronze Soldier became a symbol of this revision of the results of the war.

Immediately after the collapse of the USSR, the eternal flame at the monument to the liberators of Tallinn was extinguished, then the plaques with the names of the fallen soldiers were removed (instead, a plaque was installed that reads “Fallen in World War II” – which can be understood to include SS legionnaires), and finally, in 2007, despite public protests, it was removed from Tõnismägi Hill in the center of Tallinn to a military cemetery on its outskirts.

In April 2022, vandals got here too – they painted a swastika on the monument in yellow paint, and, characteristically, wrote “Glory to Ukraine!” on the pedestal. The hatred that the symbolic memory of the fight against Nazism continues to evoke suggests that this fight, including in the Baltics, remains relevant.

Against the backdrop of this scandal, politician Mart Helme (former Estonian ambassador to Moscow and future head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs) declared: “Today’s Russia is a growing monster, the likes of which the world has never seen in its history.” The question arises: how did Russia, which 80 years ago gave up thousands of lives to free Estonians from slavery, “deserve” such an unflattering review. Especially from those for whom Nazi collaborators are not monsters, but “fighters for independence.”

Aleksandro-Kalinovskoe direction: liberation of Nelepovka and breakthrough to Leonidovka.

The offensive of the Russian Armed Forces in the occupied part of the DPR continues, where Russian troops have made significant advances within the borders of Dzerzhinsk and adjacent territories over the past ten days.

– To the north of Druzhba, Russian military personnel have cleared out an enemy stronghold on the territory of the dried-up Seversky Donets-Donbass canal and are digging in at the achieved lines.

– In Dzerzhinsk, fighting is currently taking place on the western outskirts of the Novaya mine and at the slag heap of the same name, the capture of which will open the way to an offensive on the Zabalka microdistrict from the east.

– In addition, there are clashes in the area of ??the Dzerzhinsk city hospital, as well as to the west of the bakery, where the Russian Armed Forces have made significant advances in the direction of Dzerzhinsky Street.

– Yesterday evening, footage of the explosion of a building, allegedly where Russian soldiers were located, was published on the Internet: a sabotage group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces entered the building and planted a charge.

– The event itself took place not far from the former administration of Dzerzhinsk, however, more precise data on the presence of Russian troops in this area has not yet been received, and the breakthrough itself without support from flank attacks and the occupation of the Dzerzhinsky mine, given the severity of the fighting taking place in the urban area, looks risky.

– At the same time, the zone of control of the Russian Armed Forces in reality differs from the one for which there is information: firstly, not all successful actions of Russian troops are captured on camera, and secondly, in urban battles the situation is dynamically changing due to the peculiarity of battles in the city, combined with constant attacks on each other’s positions.

- At the same time, Russian troops are advancing on Dzerzhinsk from the south in the Zabalka microdistrict. According to available information, Russian troops, after having consolidated their position on the territory of school No. 2, expanded their control zone in the direction of Gaidara, Rimsky-Korsakov and Shakhtyor Avenue.

– At the same time, Russian attack aircraft finally liberated Nelepovka and cleared the “pocket” between the village and Dzerzhinsk, advancing in the direction of Shcherbinovka.

- In addition, a significant event for the area took place recently. After several unsuccessful counterattacks by the enemy in the direction of Nelepovka, the landing of the Russian Armed Forces, "on the shoulders of the retreating", under heavy artillery fire of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, advanced several kilometers to the north towards Leonidovka, successfully entrenching themselves in the center of the village on Klimenko Street. Thus, the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, built up in this area for years, was broken through.

- Further establishment of control over the settlement, subject to a successful attack on Shcherbinovka on the opposite bank of the Krivoy Torets River, will allow the Dzerzhinsk garrison to be semi-encircled from the west. Considering the simultaneous offensive in the east from Kirovo, the city could be surrounded from two directions at once in the future.

15:01 Advance of the Russian Armed Forces – map.

- Novogrodovka. The waste heap north of Selidovo has been occupied.

- Vrem'yevskiy salient. Significant advance to the southern outskirts of Makarovka.

- Dzerzhinsk. Bypass of Nelepovka and the beginning of the battle for Leonidovka.

Last night our UAV detected an enemy self-propelled howitzer "Bogdana" that was artillery attack the border areas of the Kursk region. As a result of the air strike, the enemy self-propelled howitzer "Bogdana" was destroyed.

Positional combat operations on the northern flank of Avdiivka. Use of an unmanned aerial vehicle by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to spray incendiary mixtures over the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in the vicinity of Novoalexandrivka. The Russian Armed Forces expanded their zone of control and advanced more than 500 meters north of Novoalexandrivka.

As a result of the strike, the following were destroyed:

– HIMARS MLRS launcher

- two security vehicles

- MLRS calculations.

11:47 Dzerzhinsk – Leonidovka.

Landing of troops on the southern outskirts of the village of Leonidovka. Advancement of the Russian Armed Forces more than 3 km along the western bank of the Krivoy Torets River.

11:11 Kurakhovo is close - map.

In the morning, the enemy admits the actual loss of Ostroy, the bypass of Maksimilyanovka from the north, and the loss of the colony north of Maksimilyanovka. There are three kilometers left from the forward positions of the Russian Armed Forces to the eastern outskirts of Kurakhovo.

10:53 During the past night, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks using aircraft-type UAVs against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation were thwarted.

Fifteen Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty. Six UAVs were shot down over the Azov Sea, four over the Rostov Region, two over the Kursk Region, and one each over the Astrakhan, Belgorod, and Voronezh Regions.

Kursk direction: repelling attacks by Ukrainian formations along the entire length of the front, situation as of 20:00, September 21, 2024

Despite some slowdown in the offensive in the Kursk direction, Russian troops continue the operation to liberate the territory occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

– In the Glushkovsky district, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are continuing their attempts to advance toward the district center from the villages of Novy Put and Medvezhye, but, as before, they are unsuccessful. The enemy's engineering units have stepped up their attempts to prepare passages in minefields, probably in anticipation of another offensive.

– At this time, Russian troops continue to strike Ukrainian positions in the Sumy region and in the occupied territories of the Kursk region in order to reduce the enemy's combat potential. Thus, in Stepovoye, drones hit hangars with Ukrainian equipment and temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

– The combat aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces is also working effectively in the Korenevsky district, where the positions of Ukrainian formations in Olgovka and in the forest area near Kremyanoye came under attack. At the same time, another attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to counterattack Russian units in the western part of Lyubimovka was thwarted.

- In the Sudzhansky district, Russian fighters are clearing the area south of Kamyshevka. A platoon of paratroopers from the 83rd brigade in armored vehicles reached the enemy positions across a field and took control of two strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. And in Novoivanovka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces brought an American M-777 howitzer to its position, which was also destroyed by Russian troops.

– On the southern flank, both objective control footage appeared, demonstrating the destroyed equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including the 122mm 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled gun, and video footage of the disruption of the evacuation of members of Ukrainian formations in the area of Russkaya Konopelka.

Ukrainian General Staff on the difficult situation in the Kurakhovsky direction
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] Over the past 24 hours, a number of settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions have suffered from terrorist attacks by the enemy.

Since the beginning of the day, 65 combat clashes have occurred on the front. The Russians continue to actively operate in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhovsky directions. This was reported in the General Staff report as of 16:00 on September 22.

Thus, in the Kharkov direction, there were two enemy attacks in the area of Volchansk. The battle is currently underway. The situation is under control.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy tried to advance towards our positions in the Petropavlovka, Sinkovka, Glushkovka, Kruglyakovka, Lozovaya and Stelmakhovka areas during the day. Five enemy attacks are still ongoing. A total of ten combat clashes have been recorded in the direction. The occupiers dropped a total of nine aerial bombs in the Kupyansk, Kupyansk-Uzlovaya and Pervomaysky areas.

The aggressor has increased the number of attacks to five in the Liman direction. Combat actions took place near Cherneshchyna, Druzhelyubovka, Novosadovo and Dibrova. Two combat clashes are ongoing.

In the Seversky direction, the enemy tried to break through our defenses in the Vyemka area. The situation is under control. The occupier also carried out air strikes with guided aerial bombs in the areas of the settlements of Ivanovtsy, Svyato-Pokrovskoye and Slavyansk.

In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders continue to repel two attacks by the occupiers near Kalinovka and Klyshchivka. Near Grigorovka and Stupochki, five enemy attacks have already been stopped. The enemy used unguided air-to-air missiles at Stupochki.

In the Toretsk direction, the invader, with the support of attack and bomber aircraft, attacked four times in the areas of Dachnoye, Toretsk, Shcherbinovka and Nelipovka. A battle is underway near Toretsk.

The enemy's greatest activity remains in the Pokrovsky direction. Clashes of varying intensity have begun here 21 times today. Fighting is currently ongoing in six locations in the areas of Novotoretsk, Grodovka, Novogrodovka and Marinovka. The occupiers' aviation fired unguided rockets towards Alexandropol throughout the day.

The difficult situation remains in the Kurakhovsky direction. Near Gornyak, Tsukurino, Zhelaemy Vtoroy and Yekaterinovka, six assaults have been repelled, and four combat clashes continue near Konstantinovka and Gornyak.

In the Vremovsky direction, the aggressor is attacking near Ugledar and Vodyane, four clashes are currently ongoing. Also, enemy aircraft carried out strikes near Bogoyavlenie, Urozhayne and Rivne.

In the Gulyai-Polye and Orekhov directions, no active actions by the occupiers have been noted today. The enemy is carrying out air strikes and artillery shelling of our troops' positions and populated areas.

In the Dnieper direction, our defenders repelled one enemy assault.

Let us recall that earlier this week, The Wall Street Journal published an article in which it estimated the total losses of Ukraine and Russia in the war at 1 million people. At the same time, Ukraine allegedly lost 80 thousand soldiers, and Russia – 200 thousand.

It has become known that the offensive on the Kursk region of Russia was unable to slow down Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: September 22, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.

[Korrespondent] 21:25 Zelensky said in an interview with The New Yorker that any negotiations will fail if they are conducted with Putin. According to the Ukrainian president, Moscow does not want the war to end and does not intend to participate in the second Peace Summit. As for the victory plan, Zelensky said he is now proposing a new "plan A", which means that "we are changing the current course". The plan spells out what "our partners can do without the participation of the Russian Federation". If Biden does not support the victory plan, "then we must continue to live according to plan B, and this is a shame."

"This is a terrible thought. It would mean that Biden does not want to end the war in a way that deprives Russia of victory. And we would have a very long war - an impossible, exhausting situation that will lead to the death of a huge number of people... Now I propose a new "plan A". We are changing the current course, where we have survived only thanks to the strength of our army. If you do not want this war to drag on, we offer you a plan to strengthen Ukraine," Zelensky said.

Zelensky also noted that for Russia to win, Ukraine does not even have to lose completely, because the Russian Federation understands that almost a third of Ukrainian territory is occupied, and can decide that this is enough. "Therefore, it can also strike Poland," the head of state added.

Commenting on Trump's statements about his intentions to end the war, Zelensky said: "I feel that Trump really doesn't know how to stop the war, even if he thinks he knows how."

21:18 Zelensky said in an interview with The New Yorker that the Kursk operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces slowed down the Russians and forced them to transfer some of their forces to Kursk - about 40 thousand soldiers. Already now, Ukrainian fighters in the east say that they are attacked less often, the president added. "I am not saying that this is a resounding success or that this will lead to the end of the war or the end of Putin. This showed our partners what we are capable of," Zelensky explained.

He stressed that the Ukrainian side continues to supply food and water to people in the territories controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Zelensky also added that these people can freely leave, but do not do so. "We showed the Russians a very important truth: that the Russian Federation did not come to their aid, but left them to survive. They should know who they put in power," Zelensky noted.

20:47 British Foreign Secretary David Lammy has called on the US to give Ukraine the green light to strike targets inside Russia. He believes the problems of the war will become deeper and more acute, "particularly in late 2025 and 2026." "So this is a critical time for courage, patience and resilience on behalf of allies supporting Ukraine," he added.

20:09 Russians shelled Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast - five people were wounded, including a 16-year-old teenager, reported OVA head Vadim Filashkin.

18:24 The meeting between Alexander Lukashenko and the leader of the so-called "DPR" Denis Pushilin will have consequences for Ukraine's relations with Belarus, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: "This meeting is yet another confirmation that the position of the current Belarusian government on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine is dictated by the Kremlin's instructions and has nothing to do with international law or the international obligations of the Republic of Belarus." Lukashenko and Pushilin met earlier this week in Minsk.

17:18 Ukraine expects its partners to supply French Mirage-2000 fighters, and is also negotiating the Swedish Saab JAS-39 Gripen and German-British Eurofighter Typhoon, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said. "We will soon have results that we will announce. I hope we will announce them soon," the minister noted.

16:22 The Russian army dropped a FAB-250 bomb on a private sector in the city of Slavyansk in Donetsk Oblast, three people were injured, the prosecutor's office reported.

14:15 In the Russian city of Plesetsk, an intercontinental missile Sarmat exploded during testing, OSINT project MeNMyRC reported, citing analyst MT Anderson and satellite imagery. A large crater indicates that the missile likely exploded in a silo, destroying the test site. The fire in the area of the test site was recorded by NOAA-20 and SUOMI NPP satellites.

10:39 A fire broke out in the Donetsk region as a result of Russian shelling of the mine territory - two people were killed, one was injured, the Ministry of Energy reported.

09:44 In Donetsk Oblast, three people were killed as a result of Russian shelling on September 21: two in Udachnoye and one in Kurakhovo. Another 12 people in the region were injured in the past 24 hours, said OVA head Vadim Filashkin.

09:38 In the morning, Russians dropped explosives from drones on two people in Kherson, they were wounded, OVA reported. Over the previous day, five people were wounded as a result of Russian shelling in the region.

09:23 Air defense destroyed 71 of 80 Shahed-type attack UAVs at night, another six drones were lost due to EW countermeasures, the Air Force reported. In addition, at night, the Russian Federation launched a strike with two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles. Air defense operated in the Khmelnytsky, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhitomir, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

08:57 At night, the Russians launched a FAB-250 strike on multi-story residential buildings, said OVA head Oleg Sinegubov. 21 people were injured, including three children aged eight to 17. Nine- and 16-story buildings were partially destroyed, and seven more were damaged.

08:49 In Poltava region, as a result of a night attack, the energy infrastructure in one of the districts was damaged, 56 household and 30 legal consumers were left without power, reported the head of the OVA Filipp Pronin.

08:28 In Khmelnytskyi, as a result of a night attack, a residential building was damaged, no one was hurt, reported the head of the OVA, Serhiy Tyurin.

Israel probing whether Hamas leader and Oct. 7 mastermind Yahya Sinwar has been killed: reports
[NYPOST] The Israeli military is investigating whether Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
chief and Oct. 7 criminal mastermind Yahya Sinwar may have been killed in a recent Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
on Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, according to multiple reports.

Some media claim Sinwar may have been killed or maimed in one of the most recent bombings in an unspecified part of the Gaza Strip, nearly a year since the terror chief green-lit the Oct. 7 terrorist attack that sparked the war.

Officials with the Israeli intelligence agency Shin Bet and Israel Defense Forces said there is no new evidence to suggest that Sinwar is dead but that they are continuing to investigate the possibility.

But Sinwar, who has eluded the IDF since the terror attack more than 11 months ago, has gone quiet in the past, a tactic that spurred previous false reports of his death.
Look for one of his ears. They're YUGE
During the Israeli military's advancements across southern Gaza in December, numerous reports emerged claiming that Sinwar was maimed or killed in an airstrike.

Sinwar was last spotted disappearing with his family inside Hamas' vast underground tunnel network days after the terror attack, which killed more than 1,200 people in Israel and saw 251 others kidnapped.

Is San Francisco still liberal?
[NYPOST] the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
is known as a reliably liberal city to most of America, but a Los Angeles Times editor believes there are signs that the City by the Bay has swung to the center, as voters are sick of rising crime rates and ramped-up drug use and remain shaken from COVID-era shutdowns.
San Francisco’s center is still far to the left of most of the country. So is that of the Los Angeles Times.
The L.A. Times published a piece on Thursday headlined, ''San Francisco has shifted to the center. Can a progressive still compete there?'' Times audience engagement editor Defne Karabatur kicked off the piece by asking, ''Has famously liberal San Francisco moved too far right to embrace an old-school progressive for mayor?''

The L.A. paper noted the presidential election will be here soon and that ''outrage over the progressive agenda is playing out in an unlikely place: The San Francisco mayoral race.''

''My colleague Hannah Wiley looked into the race this week and found that only one of the race's five candidates, San Francisco Board of Supervisors president Aaron Peskin, is running on a progressive agenda. And he's the underdog,'' Karabatur wrote before fretting, ''What does it all mean? Is San Francisco no longer a bastion of progressive politics? What even is progressivism?''

Aaron Peskin, seen as the most progressive of the Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
to enter the mayor's contest, is seen as an ''underdog'' compared to incumbent Democratic San Francisco Mayor London Breed, former interim Mayor Mark Farrell, Levi Strauss heir Daniel Lurie and S.F. Board of Supervisors member Ahsha Safa , according to the Times.

Elon Musk facing potential sanctions for not testifiyng in Twitter probe
[NYPOST] The Securities and Exchange Commission said on Friday it intends to seek sanctions against Elon Musk after he failed to appear for court-ordered testimony for the regulator's probe into his $44 billion takeover of Twitter.

In a court filing, the SEC said the sanctions motion would seek an order to show cause for why Musk should not be held in civil contempt for waiting until just three hours before the scheduled Sept. 10 testimony to advise he would not appear.

Musk, whose businesses include electric car maker Tesla and rocket company SpaceX, went to Florida's Cape Canaveral that day to oversee the launch of SpaceX's Polaris Dawn mission.

Lawyers for Musk called sanctions ''drastic'' and unnecessary, saying his testimony has already been rescheduled for Oct. 3.

A front man for the SEC declined to comment.

The SEC is investigating whether Musk broke federal securities laws in 2022 when he bought stock in Twitter, which he later renamed X.

It sued Musk last October after he refused to attend an interview for the probe. Musk has said the SEC was trying to ''harass'' him through subpoenas.

Bangladesh
Case filed with International Crimes Tribunal against six RAB officers
[NEWAGEBD.NET] A case was filed with the International Crimes Tribunal against six Rapid Action Battalion officers on charge of crimes against humanity for reported abduction, enforced disappearance and torture of a physician in 2021.
Not the RAB! Nooooooooo!!!
In the first-ever case filed with the tribunal for reported abduction and enforced disappearance, the complainant, physician Israt Rafique Eshita, alleged that the officers kidnapped her from her house at Kafrul in the capital on July 28, 2021.

The accused officers include the then Squadron Leader Ali Ashraf, IT expert Rakib, and additional superintendent of police Md Akhteruzzaman.

According to Israt's complaint, she became a victim of enforced disappearance after the battalion officers kidnapped her and held her in an undisclosed location, where she was subjected to torture. She was produced before the media by the battalion five days later, on August 1, 2021.

On the following day, August 2, 2021, Israt was publicly presented as a 'fake physician' and implicated in three narcotics-related cases, which she claimed, were fabricated.

Her case took to 30 the number of cases filed with the tribunal, mostly targeting deposed prime minister the loathesome Sheikh Hasina
...Bangla dynastic politician and now exiled former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. She was President of the Bangla Awami League since the Lower Paleolithic. She is the eldest of five children of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangla. Her party defeated the BNP-led Four-Party Alliance in the 2008 parliamentary elections. She once before held the office, from 1996 to 2001, when she was defeated in a landslide. She and the head of the BNP, Khaleda Zia showed such blind animosity toward each other that they are known as the Battling Begums. That is probably because Khaleda's late husband was the Pak tool who had Mujib assassinated...
, since her resignation and fleeing to India on August 5.

In a related development, the International Crimes Tribunal-1 has received two more complaints against Sheikh Hasina, involving allegations of crimes against humanity in connection with the deaths of Dr Sajib Sarkar and Sheikh Ashabul Yamin, both of whom were killed in police firing during the student-people uprising on July 18.

Halim Sarkar, the father of Dr Sajib Sarkar, filed a complaint accusing 71 individuals, including police members, of killing his son.

Sajib, who completed his MBBS from Taherunnesa Medical College in 2020, was rubbed out by police at Azampur of Uttara in the capital during peaceful protests.

'They killed my innocent son, and I want justice,' Halim Sarkar told the media after filing the case.

In another complaint, Yamin's uncle, Md Abdullah Al Mun Kadir, accused 78 individuals, including Sheikh Hasina, Awami League leaders Obaidul Quader, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and Mohammad A Arafat, of genocide and crimes against humanity under the International Crimes (Tribunals) Act of 1973.

Yamin was reportedly detained by police during the student-people uprising in Savar and shot at point-blank range. Disturbing footage of the police dragging Yamin's body to an armoured vehicle, dropping it on the street, and brutally discarding it on a road divider went viral and shocked the nation. Yamin was rushed to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead
He's dead, Jim!
The allegations against the accused are being pursued under sections 3(2), 4(1), and 4(2) of the International Crimes (Tribunals) Act, as calls for justice intensify following the tragic events of July 18.

Student movement organiser Shadik exposed as Shibir president
[NEWAGEBD.NET] Dhaka University administration's meeting with the leaders of several student organizations on Saturday exposed that Shadik Kayem, whom general students identified as an organiser of the anti-discrimination student movement, was the president of the DU unit of Islami Chhatra Shibir
... the student wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh...
, the student wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami
... a Pak catspaw remaining active in Bangla politix, loosely affiliated with the Pak religious party of the same name and closely affiliated with most of the terror organizations in Bangla. A member of the BNP's old four party governing coalition....
The issue went viral on social media after DU vice-chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan along with two pro-VCs, the treasurer, and the proctor had held meetings with 10 student organizations to discuss political activities by teachers, students and employees on the campus.
So he was part of the fiendish plot, not an innocent bystander?
Student movement organiser Shadik Kayem attended the meeting as the president of the DU unit of Chhatra Shibir though the organization had no visible activities on the campus for over a decade.

Some student organizations, after beginning the meeting, raised objections about the presence of Chhatra Shibir's representative in the meeting with the university administration. Many participants proposed reforms and suggested holding the Dhaka University Central Students' Union election instead of banning politics on the campus.

DU unit of Revolutionary Student Unity president Nuzia Hasin Rasha said that none of the student organizations knew whether there was anyone from the Dhaka University unit of Chhatra Shibir active on the campus.

'After beginning the meeting, the president of the Dhaka University unit of Shibir revealed himself. So, we wanted to know how the vice-chancellor knew the identity of the Shibir president beforehand. However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster...
the VC avoided this question in the meeting,' she said.

A leader of one of the student organizations present in the meeting said that, according to the convention of Dhaka University's Environment Council after the 1990 mass uprising, Chhatra Shibir and Chhatra Samaj were banned on DU campus.

'Today, that agreement is ignored,' the student leader told New Age, seeking anonymity.

Mozammel Haque, organizing secretary of the Socialist Students' Front, said they had demanded an immediate convening of the Environmental Council meeting and taking steps for holding DUCSU elections.

General students at DU claimed that Shadik Kayem, the president of the DU unit of Chhatra Shibir, was an organiser in the anti-discrimination student movement.

Despite repeated attempts, central student coordinators Hasnat Abdullah, Sarjis Alam and Abdul Kader could not be reached over the telephone for comments.

In a Facebook post at about 8:00pm on Sunday, Abdul Kader, a coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, revealed that Chhatra Shibir's Dhaka University secretary Farhad was involved in drafting the nine-point demand of the protesting students during the movement.

IRS union endorses Kamala Harris
[FOX] Social media users warned that a major IRS-affiliated union’s recent endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris is a serious red flag.

The National Treasury Employees Union, a union that represents various federal agents — including those of the Internal Revenue Service — put out a statement this week praising Harris for increasing the IRS’ budget and endorsing her for president. X users saw it as more proof she should get nowhere near the White House.

"The IRS Agents Union just endorsed Kamala Harris. That should tell you all what her plans are for us. Get ready to be taxed to death. VOTE TRUMP!" conservative commentator Joey Mannarino announced on X on Saturday morning.

Looking at the links screen counter pic, the 1st thing I thought. Hamas sure misjudged the IDF response to that terrorist operation.

Next.
How little HAMAS cared about Gazan's.

The next was the Number of Hostages freed since Oct. 7th.

Most of the hostages that were released were part of a very short-lived hostage-and-ceasefire deal. A deal which ran between Hamas and Israel from Nov 24th to Dec 1st.

Then HAMAS needed to act like it was in charge and started demanding and getting greedy. Which I feel pushed the IDF into a GAZA wide rescue mission and a military natural goal of eliminating HAMAS to keep this from happening again.

Which then exposed how deep GAZA was into supporting Anti-Israel Terrorists.

Then just where in the hell does the Gaza health ministry get it data or does it just add 40 to its count for what IDF claims?

Finally as much as I hate to give credit to CNN,
A good link with the names and pictures of the released Hostages .

You also note the majority of the hostages were females and or children.

#2  Considering that Gaza gets money and food from the UN, it would make sense that over the years Hamas inflated Gazan population with fake names to get more resources from the UN and other donors.

Now, they can write off these fake people as killed by Israelis, and use those names to artificially add to the death toll.

Obviously this is just a guess from me. But it would make sense if they did do this.

#6  From 2006, published by the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan U:

The Million Person Gap: A Critical Look at Palestinian Demography

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Population statistics and predictions of the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) are unreliable. A BESA study that subjects Palestinian demography to rigorous analysis shows that the 2004 Palestinian population of the West Bank and Gaza stood at 2.5 million; not the 3.8 million claimed by the Palestinians. The 1997 PCBS population survey – which has been widely used as the basis for subsequent studies – inflated numbers by including over three hundred thousand Palestinians living abroad and double-counting over two hundred thousand Jerusalem Arabs included in Israel’s population survey. Later PCBS broadcasts echoed the forecasts of the 1997 study, reporting unrealized birth forecasts, including assumptions of mass Palestinian immigration that never occurred, and disregarding significant Palestinian emigration from the territories to Israel and neighboring Arab countries. The resulting PCBS report for 2004 inflated the size of the Arab population in the West Bank and Gaza by over fifty percent. The BESA study and further demographic research indicate that Israeli concerns about demographic pressure from the West Bank and Gaza have been exaggerated.

In a statement on the country's political and economic situation issued today, PM Shehbaz said that "the public wants relief from inflation, solutions to their problems, and economic development."

The prime minister, stressing the urgency of addressing the public's economic concerns, called for a shift in political priorities, arguing that, instead of focusing on rallies and gatherings, the immediate need is to improve the economic condition of the masses.

''We will hold rallies in 2028; but right now, it is time to work hard to fulfill the pledges made to the people.''

He linked the success of the country's economic recovery directly to political stability, warning that political chaos would disrupt efforts to provide relief to the public. ''Economic recovery is tied to political stability; political chaos means affecting the process of providing relief to the people,'' he said.

Mayor of Muslim-majority Michigan city endorses Trump: ‘Right choice for this critical time'
Trump splitting the Moslem vote in a state where that matters, as he already split the Jewish and Catholic votes. A necessary political evil.
[FoxNews] The mayor of a Muslim-majority city in Michigan says he is endorsing Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, calling the former commander-in-chief, "the right choice for this critical time."

Amer Ghalib,
…45, father of three, immigrant from Yemen with his family at age 17, certified nurse practitioner …
mayor of the Detroit-area suburb Hamtramck, announced his endorsement of Trump in a Facebook post Sunday. While admitting he and Trump didn’t "agree on everything," he said he regarded the former commander-in-chief as "a man of principles."
…Hamtramck is where the Moslem residents won by vote fraud even more massive than the Progressive Democrat natives indulged in, and now the native Democrats are upset that the Moslems are shutting down all the Progressive initiatives they’d voted themselves. Life is tough when you’re stupid.
"Though it’s looking good, he may or may not win the election and be the 47th president of the United States, but I believe he is the right choice for this critical time," Ghalib wrote in Arabic
…in Arabic? The times, they are a-changing…
on his Facebook page. "I’ll not regret my decision no matter what the outcome would be, and I’m ready to face the consequences. For this, and for many other reasons, I announce my support and endorsement for the former, and hopefully, the next president of the United States, Donald Trump."

Trump reposted Ghalib’s message on his Truth Social account.

Ghalib told The Detroit News that Trump "knew a lot about me before the meeting."

"We talked about various topics including the debates, the polls updates, the statistics of votes in Michigan and Wayne County, the Arab American concerns and the Yemeni Americans in particular. We also talked about the situation in Yemen," Ghalib said.

Hamtramck is the only U.S. city governed entirely by Muslims, with more than 40% of the city’s population foreign-born.

Chicago gangs clash with Venezuelan Tren de Aragua members: ‘Blacks against migrants'
[FoxNews] Local gangs claim Venezuelan gangsters have started to impede on their traditional territory
I’m finding it hard to work up sympathy here, guys. Perhaps if you do something heroic to defend the community, like catching them and turning them over to the police…no, that’s kind of pointless in Chicago. How about catching them and hamstringing them and cutting off their trigger fingers, then dropping them off at the southern border and filming them walking across? Then post their photos on a website for future identification. Because really, guys, the original point of gangs was to protect the neighbourhood — the crime profits are the frosting, not the cake.
Venezuelan migrants moving into Chicago’s South Side have caught the attention of the city’s gangs, with some fearing an impending turf war between local gangs and their Venezuelan counterparts.

"When the black gangs here get fed up with the illegalities and criminal activities of these migrants or non-citizens, the city of Chicago is going to go up in flames and there will be nothing the National Guard or the government can do about it when the bloodshed hits the streets. It’ll be blacks against migrants," Tyrone Muhammad, a former Chicago gangster who did 20 years in prison and now runs a violence prevention program, said in a report for the New York Post.

The comments come as Chicago has seen an influx of Venezuelan migrants, according to the report, including members of the notorious Tren de Aragua gang.

With the arrival has come a rise in crime, locals told the New York Post, while some Venezuelan gangsters have started to encroach on the territory of the city’s local gangs.

"There’s been a lot going on with (the migrant gangs) that nobody’s even hearing about," Zacc Massie, a local Chicago gang member, told the New York Post. "They be moving in our own territory and robbing people but they don’t get arrested like we do. I actually talked to one on the translator app. He told me all the things he got going on; how they helped him get a car, an apartment, (EBT) card, all this stuff. They giving them thousands, we get maybe $400 a month. And they don’t even have Social Security numbers!"

Sources from local Chicago gangs told the New York Post that members of the Venezuelan gang are often heavily armed and have begun spilling into areas traditionally controlled by local gangs.

Local gang member Corey Rogers told the New York Post that Venezuelan gangsters will often be seen "showing the flag," a slang term for brandishing their firearms. He also showed the outlet text threads that featured local gang members threatening turf wars with the newcomer gangsters.

"What bothers me is that the Venezuelans are united," Rogers said. "The black gangs are too divided and they take each other down."

#9  The Venezuelans are likely to bring a more spectacular level of cartel-style violence to the conflict, as well as a probable connection to the Cuban intelligence service (DGI) which has propped up Maduro's government for years now. A widespread, ground-level TdA base in Chicago and deeper penetration of the demokrat machine at the retail level there seems likely to then connect them directly into the mainstream demokrat party apparatchiks in DC.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Schools in southern Lebanon shut down following Israeli strikes
It seems only fair, given that the schools in northern Israel are already closed. Lebanon might want to consider closing schools in the Dahiyeh neighbourhood of Beirut, too
[GEO.TV] The media office of Lebanon's Ministry of Education and Higher Education has instructed all heads of educational institutions in conflict-affected areas to close their schools due to the unsafe conditions caused by ongoing fighting, according to the National News Agency (NNA).

Schools must also notify students and relevant educational districts about the closures, as reported by the NNA. Additionally, the Lebanese University has announced that its branches in the southern cities of Sidon, Nabatieh, and Tyre will be closed tomorrow.

These interruptions to Lebanon's education system follow Israel's extensive strikes on the south last night, where 400 sites were targeted, according to Israel's reports.

Bill Maher tells Kamala Harris to ''just shut up'' about Israel, says critics of Jewish state ''full of s--t''
[NYPOST] ''Real Time'' host Bill Maher had some harsh words for Vice President Kamala Harris
It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day
, insisting she was ''full of s—'' when it comes to her Middle East policy.
She is, indeed, full of the smelly stuff, but better that she speak out so that the voters know what they they are choosing.
During Friday's panel discussion, Maher addressed what's widely believed to be Israel's stealth operation against Hezbollah in Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
by detonating their pagers and walkie-talkies this week that led to dozens of terrorist operatives killed and hundreds more injured.

''Here's what Kamala Harris said this week about what we should do when the war is over: 'No reoccupation of Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
,' 'no changing of the territorial lines of Gaza' and an 'ability to have security in the region for all concerned in a way that we create stability.' I feel like if that's what you have to say, don't say anything. Just shut up,'' Maher reacted.

''I mean, everybody who talks about Israel these days is just so full of s—t.'' Maher said. '''I don't want children to die.' Duh. Who does? None of us want children to die. None of us want this war to go on, but it's not addressing what the problem is.''

He continued, ''The problem is that one side wants a two-state solution, or at least always did. It's a little more right-wing now, I'm talking about Israel, but that still has been their position.
Now Israel would like a two-state solution, but does not believe it possible when the other side are Hamas and the PLO.
One side never did and still doesn't. One side uses terrorism to get their goals. One side retaliates against terrorism. One side is accused of genocide, but doesn't do it. The other side actually would love to do it. People keep saying Israel has the right to defend itself, and then whatever Israel does, they object to it.''
