Government Corruption
Every Tragedy Caused by Government Is Done with the Best of Intentions
[American Thinker] A prediction: When it becomes incontrovertible that forced vaccinations and lockdowns have done more harm than good, all the people in power who have caused this harm will excuse their totalitarian madness by claiming they "had the best of intentions."

Oh, we had the people's best interests at heart, really.

We were only trying to save lives.

Nobody could have predicted all this harm.

Followed, in short order, by a final self-indulgent We're the real victims here for caring too much."

It will be the latest painful example in a long line of human tragedies that arose only because the ruling elite controlling the levers of government responded to a perceived problem in the world by exploiting it for their own enrichment, re-engineering it to become more toxic and painful for ordinary people than it otherwise would have been, and then applauding their own efforts as "heroic" and "wise" examples of good governance, contrary to all evidence suggesting otherwise.

President Johnson's "war on poverty" caused more poverty, deepened the dependence upon government welfare of those most economically vulnerable, and initiated a collapse in marriage rates and two-parent families that continues to this day.

President Nixon's "war on drugs" subsidized the monopoly power of drug cartels south of the border, helped create a schizophrenic national security policy that at times aligned American strategic objectives with those of the same global drug czars designated enemies, and produced a U.S. incarceration rate that still leads the world.

President Bush's "war on terror" in response to the worst attack on U.S. soil since Pearl Harbor not only led to two of the longest wars in U.S. history without producing clear-cut long-term victories but also initiated a mass surveillance state that is now used against Americans by the FBI, NSA, and U.S. military to target constitutionally protected political beliefs.

President Obama's insistence that "health care is a right" that required the government to take over an entire industry (and close to one fifth of the economy) has only exacerbated the costs of medical treatment, increased the cost of insurance, wrecked the financial viability of rural hospitals, politicized the work of medical professionals, and destroyed the doctor-patient relationship by inserting the government's eyes and ears into every treatment room.

And in every one of these examples, the ruling elite who convinced ordinary Americans to go along with their plans "had the best of intentions." Sure, the powers of government agencies increased. Sure, people were left with less control over their own lives. Sure, a tremendous amount of predictable, as well as unexpected, harm fell on the very Americans those plans were ostensibly created to protect. But "nobody could have known," right? The "experts were unanimous" in their conclusions. The government was "just trying to save lives." Anybody who questions the government's "good intentions" is an "extremist."

You'll notice that each and every time the ruling class executes this strategy, a number of themes reappear:

(1) The government gives itself unprecedented powers in order to combat a terrifying emergency that must be stopped.

(2) The emergency never actually goes away, and in fact, the greater the level of institutional failure, the more necessary it becomes for the government not only to maintain its newfound powers, but also to regularly enhance those powers in its endless efforts to be successful.

(3) Anybody who attempts to warn that the government's ill conceived and impetuous actions will only lead to more varied and severe harms is immediately demonized as imbecilic, uncaring, or selfish.

Who could be against wars on poverty, abusive drug use, or terror? Who could possibly argue against health care or against doing anything required "even if it saves only one life"? It's an emergency! If intergenerational poverty and government dependence is rising, it must be because we have not yet spent enough money on the problem. If drugs and violence continue spilling over the border, there must be another law or dedicated police force or stimulus check that will fix America's cultural and spiritual malaise. If we haven't won the war on terror, it's because we will always find someone new to call a "terrorist," even if that person wears a red MAGA cap.

Britain
Panic Hoarding Gasoline Begins As UK Plunges Towards "Winter Of Discontent"
[ZERO] One day after oil giant BP warned about rationing gasoline and diesel at UK service stations, Brits began to panic buy fuel as the government tried to calm fears.

Lines of cars and trucks are spilling over into the streets at service stations across the country. A BP spokesperson said Thursday that a truck driver shortage has resulted in its inability to transport fuel from refineries to its network of service stations. These words spooked the public, which could cause a more severe shortage due to the hoarding.

The scenes of long lines at gas stations bring back memories of the 1973 Opec Oil Crisis, the 2000 fuel shortage, and the virus pandemic disruptions amid fears the country is diving headfirst into a 1970s-style "winter of discontent" of shortages and socio-economic distress.

On Friday afternoon, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps told Brits on Sky News that there was no fuel shortage and for "everyone to carry on as normal." His soothing words weren't enough to stop the buying panic, which is expected to continue into the weekend.

Arizona audit flags thousands of suspect ballots, kicking issue to state's attorney general
[Just The News] Long-awaited and engulfed in controversy from start to finish, the Arizona Senate's election audit gave America a split decision while leaving the question of whether illicit ballots were improperly cast or counted to the state’s attorney general.

The audit released Friday afternoon through painstakingly technical testimony concluded the final count of votes in the state's largest county of Maricopa showing President Joe Biden won Arizona was accurate, but it also included tens of thousands of ballots that were suspect and require more investigation.

The more than 50,000 ballots flagged by auditors for more investigation involved concerns ranging from people voting from addresses from which they had already moved to residents voting twice. The total in question was nearly five times the 10,400 vote margin that separated the two presidential candidates, giving Donald Trump's troops fresh reason to call for more scrutiny.

The job of resolving the question now falls to Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, a Republican who has ambitions of winning a U.S. Senate seat in 2022.

Brnovich immediately seized the opportunity, announcing his office's election integrity unit would review the questionable ballots to determine if further action was warranted.

"I will take all necessary actions that are supported by the evidence and where I have legal authority," Brnovich tweeted a short while before the final official audit results were to be released. "Arizonans deserve to have their votes accurately counted and protected."

#1  Not mentioned: the nearly 75,000 more mail in ballots received than sent out. Ga. District 14 Rep takes on Dem over abortion on capital steps
[Insider] Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia accosted Democrats on the steps outside the House of Representatives over their support for abortion, prompting an eventual screaming match between the congresswoman and Rep. Debbie Dingell of Michigan.

The exchange began as Greene exited the House chamber following the passage of the Women's Health Protection Act, which would codify Roe v. Wade into law and ensure abortion access regardless of future Supreme Court rulings. The bill is unlikely to reach the 60 votes necessary to pass the Senate.

"The border's wide open," Greene yelled toward a group of Democratic congresswomen, including Dingell and Reps. Melanie Stansbury of New Mexico, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, and Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania. The congresswomen then moved back inside.

-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
A Massive Subterranean ‘Tree' Is Moving Magma to Earth's Surface
[QuantaMagazine] Réunion, a French island in the western Indian Ocean, is like a marshmallow hovering above the business end of a blowtorch. It sits above one of Earth’s mantle plumes — a tower of superheated rock that ascends from the deep mantle and flambés the bases of tectonic plates, the jigsaw pieces that make up the ever-changing face of the world. The plume’s effects are hard to miss: One of the island’s two massive volcanoes, the aptly named Piton de la Fournaise or "peak of the furnace," is one of the most hyperactive volcanoes on the planet.

But the plume’s modern-day punch is nothing compared to its past.

Government Corruption
It Gets Worse: Look Who Worked Together to Frame Donald Trump With Fake Russia Hoax
[PJ Media] How much more frightening will this conspiracy get? Now, according to court documents reported by JusttheNews.com, we learn that The Dark Lord himself, George Soros, paid for his own investigator to work for the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee to plant the fake Trump-Russia story—and that then-Senator John McCain let him do it.

We know that the upper reaches of the U.S. government, including President Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton and their FBI, were a part of the effort to Get Trump. Bruce Ohr at the Department of Justice was in on it. The intelligence community played along with "CIA director John Brennan report[ing] to President Obama that Clinton herself approved the scheme in order to deflect attention away from her use of a private email server." Biden’s national security adviser knew and lied about it. Democrat party-connected cyber sleuths using government contracts to gain access to secret data tried to frame and plant fake news about Donald Trump being a Russian secret agent. All of these apparatchiks put their expertise and privileged government positions into the service of Hillary Clinton for President in 2016.

They leveraged their positions to destroy Trump and change an election—and in so doing sold out America.

It was by any means necessary.

I’m beginning to wonder if the only thing Hillary didn’t do was hire hit men.

John Solomon and Lee Smith write at JusttheNews.com:

The revelation that a committee led by the Republican McCain and Democratic Sen. Jack Reed of Rhode Island engaged a nonprofit with significant partisan ties is certain to reverberate in Washington and further the GOP narrative that the Russia collusion allegations were more a political dirty trick than a legitimate counterintelligence concern. Mueller concluded there was no evidence Trump and Russia colluded to hijack the 2016 election.

How did it work?

George Soros personally paid for an investigator, former FBI analyst Dan Jones, to frame Trump through his political organization called The Democracy Integrity Project (TDIP).

A Soros spokesman told The Hill in 2019 that the billionaire philanthropist wrote a sizable check from his personal funds in fall 2017 to TDIP in hopes it would continue "investigation and research into foreign interference in American elections and European elections." That spokesman said Soros later learned that Fusion and Steele, who had previously worked for the Clinton campaign, had done some work for TDIP.

They all worked together to destroy Trump by smearing him with the fake scandal.

Soros infused his TDIP group in to continue "the work started under the Clinton campaign by Fusion GPS and former MI-6 agent Christopher Steele seeking to link Trump to Russia collusion. Its tax filings show it raised $7 million in 2017 to start its work."

It was par for the course for Soros. Stories of Soros’s meddling in elections around the world are legion. When he’s not tanking markets or creating fake revolutions, he and his minions are opening borders, destroying reputations, and making the world safer for assisted suicide, hard drugs, and released inmates to prey upon the law abiding.

Government Corruption
Hillary Clinton Gets Brutal Belfast Reception: Protesters Howl 'War Criminal,' 'Scumbag'
[Western Journal] Left-wing protesters gave former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton an icy reception Friday as she visited a university in Northern Ireland to collect the title of chancellor.

The BBC reported Clinton showed up at Queen’s University in Belfast where she collected a historic title: the school’s first female chancellor.

Clinton, who the U.K. Daily Mail reported had just collected an honorary doctorate in civil law at Oxford University in England, said during remarks that Queen’s University is "special" and that she was excited to help "tell the university’s exciting story."

Apparently, the school’s administrators think highly of failed 2016 presidential candidate and former first lady. But not everyone was pleased to see Clinton pay a visit to campus or collect such a high honor.

Saving Privately Milley and The Invisible Government
[News With Views] Over the years, and particularly after the events of September 11, 2001, and the popularization of the Internet, even the most gullible American citizen has suspected that there must be a secret reason why more often than not our government acts against the best interests of the American people, as well as helps our enemies and betrays our friends. Just a handful of scholars, however, have seriously studied the phenomenon.

The ones who have done so concluded that the U.S. Government has been hijacked by a group of rich, powerful individuals, who have been using it to advance their own private interests. This super-elite of a few hundred immensely wealthy and powerful individuals has been called different names: the Power Elite, the High Cabal, the Secret Team, the Secret Government, the Insiders, the Usurpers, the Invisible Government.

Probably the first author who rightly pointed to the Council on Foreign Relations as the true source of the invisible Government of the United States was Emanuel Josephson in his 1952 book Rockefeller "Internationalist": The Man Who Misrules the World. [1] Josephson titled Chapter XIII of his book, "The Council on Foreign Relations: "Foreign Office" of the Rockefeller Empire. The Invisible government."[2]

A few pages below he added, "So consistently have high, policy-making positions in the government been filled from the ranks of the Rockefeller’s Council that it can be called the invisible government of the United Sates."[3]

Another author who identified the CFR as the center of the invisible government of the United States was Dan Smoot in his 1962 book The Invisible Government.[4] Smoot, a former member of the FBI Headquarters staff in Washington, D.C., expressed his conviction,

"I am convinced that the Council on Foreign Relations, together with a great number of other associated tax-exempt organizations, constitutes the invisible government which set the major policies of the federal government; exercises controlling influence on government officials who implement the policies; and, through massive and skillful propaganda, influences Congress and the public to support the policies. I am convinced the objective of this invisible government is to convert America into a socialist state and make it a unit in a one-world socialist system." [5]

Later, John Stormer in his book None Dare Call it Treason,[6] Gary Allen in None Dare Call it Conspiracy,[7] and Phoebe Courtney in her The CFR, Part II,[8] further identified the CFR as the center of the invisible government of the United States. [9]

India-Pakistan
With winter months approaching, Pakistan changing behaviour rapidly on infiltrations
[OneIndia] A second attempt to infiltrate bully boyz into Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
signals that Pakistain has changed its position despite saying that it was following the ceasefire truce with India.
They feel like they won in Afghanistan, so now's the time to employ similar tactics in Kashmir.
It has become clear now that this increase in the number of activities cannot take place without the blessing of the local army commanders of Pakistain. Lt. General Pandey said that it is just not possible that such number of activities can take place without the complicity and connivance of local Mighty Pak Army commanders.

An operation was launched on Sunday after a group of 6 bully boyz sneaked in. However the operation was called off three days later as the bully boyz could not be traced. Lt. Gen Pandey said that three bully boyz had however been killed in a shootout on the Line of Control when they were trying to infiltrate into north Kashmir's Uri Sector on Thursday morning.

The Army has now said that there has been a definite change of behaviour by Pakistain in the past one month. Officials OneIndia spoke with said, while this could not be directly connected with the developments in Afghanistan, there is a definite attempt by Pakistain to enhance activity in the Valley.

The Army says that they anticipated that before the winter months, there would be a concerted effort to push in the terrorists. In the past few weeks, we have been getting credible inputs of lot of activities in the launch pad areas and plans to carry out infiltration, the manifestation of which we saw in Uri and the second on Thursday, Lt. Gen Pandey said.

He also said that the current level of peace and stability, the tourist footfall, in fact the visit of large number of ministers to the Valley is ranking across. The intent of sending the small weapons in terms of pistols and grenades is to ensure that you are arming the so-called hybrid terrorist, the youth who are studying in the day in the evening they are given a task to hit, he also added.

Lt Gen Pandey however did not link the developments in Afghanistan to the infiltration attempts. We had anticipated this change in behaviour starting September and October and this has started to manifest on the ground he also said.

Olde Tyme Religion
In Bangladesh, ‘Religious Zealots’ Attack, Shave Head of Teen Baul Singer
[BenarNews] Three men have been arrested on suspicion of forcibly cutting the long hair of a 16-year-old singer in northern Bangladesh, police said Wednesday, in the latest case of hardline Moslems harassing performers of a traditional Bengali folk genre.

A group of five Bangladeshis assaulted and shaved the head of the teenage Baul folk musician Mehedi Hassan on Saturday in the Shibganj sub-district in Bogura district, about 128 miles northwest of Dhaka, police said.

Singing Baul songs is not an offense, said Sirajul Islam, chief of the Shibganj sub-district police. But Islamic hardliners in Moslem-majority Bangladesh see these wandering Baul minstrels — influenced by Hinduism, Buddhism and Sufi Islam — as apostates and heretics.

Iraq
Over 300 prominent Iraqis publicly call for full peace with Israel
[IsraelTimes] Unprecedented event in Erbil features Sunni and Shiite leaders and activists demanding that Baghdad join Abraham Accords; Lapid: Event in Iraq is a ’source of hope and optimism’.

Hundreds of Iraqi leaders and activists gathered in the country’s Kurdistan region on Friday to publicly call for full normalization with Israel.

The group, which includes Sunni and Shiites, youth activists and tribal leaders, said the next step after the dramatic announcement would be to seek "face-to-face talks" with Israelis.

The 312 Iraqi men and women issued their statements from a hotel in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region. The conference was organized by the New York-based Center for Peace Communications, which works to advance engagement between Arabs and Israelis, and to protect activists supporting normalization.

The Times of Israel is covering developments from the conference as they happen.

One of the speakers explained that the group believes in peace with Israel "so that we might live in a stable region that brings conflicts to an end. We believe in it because we want our region to be a peaceful one, in which Israel is an inseparable part of the panoramic whole, and in which all peoples have the right to live in security."

"We demand that Iraq join the Abraham Accords internationally," wrote Wisam al-Hardan, leader of the Sons of Iraq Awakening movement, in The Wall Street Journal on Friday. "We call for full diplomatic relations with Israel and a new policy of mutual development and prosperity."

The Sons of Iraq formed organically in 2005 as tribal leaders in Anbar province and ex-Iraqi Army officers allied with US forces to fight al-Qaeda.

"Some of us have faced down ISIS and al-Qaeda on the battlefield," wrote Hardan. "Through blood and tears we have long demonstrated that we oppose all hard boys, whether Sunni jihadists or Iran-backed Shi’ite militias. We have also demonstrated our patriotism: We sacrificed lives for the sake of a unified Iraq, aspiring to realize a federal system of government as stipulated in our nation’s constitution."

Calling the expulsion of Iraq’s Jews “the most infamous act” in the country’s decline, Hardan said Iraq “must reconnect with the whole of our diaspora, including these Jews.”

“We reject the hypocrisy in some quarters of Iraq that speaks kindly of Iraqi Jews while denigrating their Israeli citizenship, and the Jewish state, which granted them asylum.”

Hardan also said that Iraq’s laws criminalizing contacts with Israelis are “morally repugnant.”

He wrote that while countries like Syria, Libya, Lebanon and Yemen are mired in war, the Abraham Accords represent a hopeful trend of “peace, economic development, and brotherhood.”

Seven working groups will be formed in the wake of the conference to address ties between Iraq and its Jewish diaspora, trade and investment, educational reform, repealing anti-normalization laws, peace communications in Iraqi media, artistic collaborations, and supporting peace activists in other Arab countries that don’t recognize Israel.

Texas on Thursday officially added Ben & Jerry’s and its parent company Unilever to a list of companies that boycott Israel over the former’s decision to cease the sale of its products in West Bank settlements, a further step on the path to the state divesting some $100 million from the companies.

"Effective today, the Comptroller’s office has added Ben & Jerry’s and its parent company, Unilever, to the Texas list of companies that boycott Israel," Texas’s comptroller Glenn Hegar’s office said in a statement.

Europe
Sixth migrant dies on EU's eastern border with Belarus
[Rudaw] The migrant corpse count on the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
's eastern border with Belarus rose to six on Friday with the death of an Iraqi man, as Polish campaigners warn of a humanitarian crisis.

Thousands of migrants colonists - mostly from the Middle East - have crossed or tried to cross into the European Union from Belarus in recent months.

"A group of migrants colonists from Iraq was detained last night 500 metres from the border with Belarus," the border guard service said on Twitter.

"One of the men died (probably of a heart attack) despite having received assistance from the patrol and an ambulance team," it said.

He is the fifth to die this week, and the sixth since August.

The EU has accused Belarus of orchestrating the influx of migrants colonists in retaliation against EU sanctions over the regime's crackdown on dissent.

Most irregular migration into the EU is through the Mediterranean and the flow is unprecedented for the eastern EU states of Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

Non-governmental organizations have criticised Poland for imposing a border state of emergency that prevents charities from helping the migrants colonists by banning all non-residents, including journalists.

Campaigners also accuse Poland of implementing a pushback policy, preventing the migrants colonists from making asylum claims and forcing them back.

Asked about the pushbacks earlier this week, deputy interior minister Maciej Wasik said Poland was using "all legal means" to protect its border.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said the government was "sensitive" to the fate of migrants colonists.

"We are trying to help and save the life and health of all the illegal migrants colonists who have crossed the Polish border and who are found in time," he wrote.

- 'SHOCKED AND DISMAYED' -
The latest death comes after four people were found dead on Sunday in four different places along the 400-kilometre Belarus-Poland border - three inside Poland and one on the Belarus side.

Belarus last month also said it had discovered a dead Iraqi man near its border with Lithuania.

The UN refugee agency and the International Organization for Migration earlier this week said they were "shocked and dismayed" by the deaths.

"Groups of people have become stranded for weeks, unable to access any form of assistance, asylum or basic services," they said in a statement.

"UNHCR and IOM call for immediate access to those affected, in order to provide life-saving medical help, food, water and shelter, especially in light of the approaching winter," they said.

The organizations also said pushbacks "endanger lives and are illegal under international law".

Marysia Zlonkiewicz, from the refugee assistance group uchodzcy.info, on Thursday warned of a "humanitarian crisis" on the border as temperatures drop and urged the government to allow non-governmental organizations access.

Polish border guards this week said they detected 3,500 attempted or successful crossings in August.

So far in September, the number is more than 5,000.

Iraq
Civilian injured in Turkish bombardment of northern Duhok: mayor
[Rudaw] A civilian was injured on Friday morning in a suspected Ottoman Turkish bombardment in northern Duhok, which sees frequent intense festivities between Ottoman Turkish forces and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

"A civilian named Sabit Hussein, 55, was injured and he is at death's door now," Kani Masi mayor Sarbast Sabri told Rudaw.

Hussein was injured in Hirore village and has been transferred to a health center in Begova for treatment.

Ottoman Turkish forces targeted Hirore village from positions in Kani Masi, according to Sabri.

In April, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
launched the twin operations Claw-Lightning and Claw-Thunderbolt in northern Duhok against the PKK, an gang fighting for greater rights for Kurds in Turkey. Ankara considers it a terrorist organization.

There have been more than 400 military incursions into the Kurdistan Region so far this year, endangering innocent civilians, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) coordinator for international advocacy Dindar Zebari said in a statement on Wednesday, without naming any nation or group. Zebari listed villages, including Hirore, that have been subject to attacks by Ottoman Turkish and Iranian forces, pursuing Kurdish opposition groups.

Civilian populations and the environment have been severely damaged by the Turkey-PKK conflict. Thousands of acres of land have been scorched, and people’s houses and livestock have been hit. Several civilians have been killed and one family in Hirore is suffering from health problems following a suspected chemical attack.

The KRG has repeatedly called on Turkey to respect its illusory sovereignty and for the PKK to cease using Kurdistan Region territory to launch attacks on its neighbor.

UN updates named death toll for Syria war
[AlAhram] The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) included only fatalities identifiable by a full name, with a place of death and an established date, from March 2011 to March 2021

The war in Syria has killed 350,209 fully identified individuals, according to a new count published Friday by the United Nations
...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly...
, which warned the real total of deaths would be far higher.
The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) included only fatalities identifiable by a full name, with a place of death and an established date, from March 2011 to March 2021.
"The others are ...less dead"
"We assess this figure of 350,209 as statistically sound, based as it is on rigorous work," High Commissioner Michelle Bachelet told the UN Human Rights Council.

"It is not -- and should not be seen as -- a complete number of conflict-related killings in Syria during this period.

"It indicates a minimum verifiable number, and is certainly an under-count of the actual number of killings."

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the benchmark for counting victims of the conflict, published a report on June 1 raising the corpse count to 494,438 since the start of the violent mostly peaceful crackdown on anti-regime protests in 2011.

The Observatory revised up by 105,000 its previous corpse count from March 2021, following months of investigation based on documents and sources on the ground.

UN rights chief Bachelet said more than one in 13 victims on the OHCHR count was a woman -- 27,727 -- while almost one in every 13 was a child -- 27,126.

She said the greatest number of documented fatalities was in the Aleppo governorate, with 51,731 named individuals killed.

Other locations with heavy corpse counts were Rural Damascus (47,483), Homs (40,986), Idlib (33,271), Hama (31,993) and Tartus (31,369).

'UNIMAGINABLE SUFFERING'
Bachelet said OHCHR had received records with partial information which could not go into the analysis but nonetheless indicated a wider number of killings that were not yet fully documented.

"Tragically, there are also many other victims who left behind no witnesses or documentation," she said.

OHCHR has begun processing information on those alleged to have caused a number of deaths, together with the civilian and non-civilian status of victims, and the cause of death by types of weaponry.

"Documenting the identity of and circumstances in which people have died is key to the effective realisation of a range of fundamental human rights
...which often include carefully measured allowances of freedom at the convenience of the state...
-- to know the truth, to seek accountability, and to pursue effective remedies," said Bachelet.

The former Chilean president said the Syrian people's daily lives "remain scarred by unimaginable suffering... and there is still no end to the violence they endure".

Bachelet said the count would ensure those killed were not forgotten.

"Behind each recorded death was a human being, born free and equal, in dignity and rights," she said.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
62 Children Died in NE Syria Camp this Year
[AnNahar] Two children die every week in al-Hol, one of the overcrowded Syrian camps where families with suspected links to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group are stranded, Save the Children said Thursday.

The charity said many countries, including EU states, were abandoning thousands of children in their desert limbo, vulnerable to violence, fires, malnutrition and illness.

Save the Children said a total of 40,000 children from 60 different countries were living in dire conditions in the camps of Roj and al-Hol in northeastern Syria.

"Many of the world's richest countries have failed to bring home the majority of their children stuck in" the two displacement camps, the group said in a statement.

It said 62 children had died of various causes so far this year, including violence, disease and accidents.

Save the Children said a total of 73 people, including two children, were murdered in al-Hol alone so far this year.

The remote camps managed by the Kurdish forces that control the area were meant to house the families of men who were tossed into the calaboose over suspected ties to the Islamic State group.

However they also hold many families who simply fled IS occupation of their homes in Iraq and Syria. Some have been there for more than four years.

Save the Children interviewed several children trapped behind the fences of al-Hol, where they live like prisoners and from which their governments are unwilling to repatriate them.

"I cannot endure this life any more. We do nothing but wait," said one 11-year-old Lebanese girl who was interviewed in May and was since reportedly killed during a failed escape attempt in a water truck.

The charity said La Belle France had 320 children held in both camps but had only repatriated 35. The United Kingdom has 60 and only brought four home.

"What we are seeing here is governments simply abandoning children, who are first and foremost victims of conflict," said Sonia Khush, director of Save the Children's Syria response.

She said 83 percent of repatriation operations so far had been to Uzbekistan, Kosovo, Kazakhstan and Russia.

The Kurdish authorities running the area consistently said they did not have the capacity to organise trials for all the detained foreign suspects nor support their families.

La Belle France and other Western countries have been wary of the impact mass repatriations could have on domestic security and public opinion.

Joe Biden Complains American 'Trillionaires' Not Paying Enough Taxes
[BREITBART] President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity, except maybe for abandoning Afghanistan...
referred to "trillionaires" not paying taxes on Friday, even though no American is worth a trillion dollars.

"I’m running to change the dynamic of how the economy grows," Biden said. "I’m tired of trickle-down. Trillionaires and billionaires are doing very, very well. You all report it."

There are currently no trillionaires in the United States.

According to Forbes list of richest Americans, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is America’s wealthiest person with a net worth of $177 billion.

The president spoke about raising taxes on the wealthy after an event promoting coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)

vaccine booster shots at the White House.

He claimed his policies for a permanent childcare tax credit were not costing the government any money.

"It’s not," Biden said. "It’s reducing taxes, reducing taxes, not increasing taxes."

He again pressed the issue of taxes as a moral issue, noting corporations were not paying enough.

"I just think it’s about just paying your fair share,’ he said, adding that it was "just wrong."

He claimed his $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill was about cutting taxes not raising them.

British Funeral Director: COVID-19 Deaths Were Inflated, Mass Vaccination Came Before ‘Huge Explosion' In Death Counts
[NationalFile] [John O’Looney, a British funeral director] says that he repeatedly saw people labeled as COVID deaths, even if they died of natural causes, of terminal cancer, or being hit by a car. All COVID deaths.

He says it is his belief that thousands of elderly people in the U.K. were euthanized with the sedative Midazolam and then labeled as coronavirus deaths. But he also says that overall in 2020, the death rate compared to past years was about the same, or even down.

He did see a huge explosion in deaths, but it wasn’t in 2020. It was in early 2021, and it happened almost the moment mass vaccination began. Then, from April through the summer, he says it was one of the quietest periods he’d ever seen. There weren’t enough deaths to keep the lights on.

Now, he says the death rate is rising again. And the people coming in, he says, are from all age ranges. They aren’t just old people. The causes of death, he says, are heart attacks, blood clots, strokes, and multiple organ failure. Almost all these people, he says, are vaccinated. He saw a man, a barber, who died at age 23 just after getting the second shot.

Blockbuster: NIH Study Concludes Ivermectin Works!
[MAGA Institute] Because we’ve come to expect nothing but cover-ups and anti-science diktats from NIH and its subdivisions, NIH has published on its website and article in the July-August issue of the American Journal of Therapeutics that concluded that "large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin."

The study authors continued, "Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally."
Overexcited headline. The actual journal article can be found here. Here are key bits from the abstract of this review of previous published research:
DATA SOURCES:
We searched bibliographic databases up to April 25, 2021. Two review authors sifted for studies, extracted data, and assessed risk of bias. Meta-analyses were conducted and certainty of the evidence was assessed using the GRADE approach and additionally in trial sequential analyses for mortality. Twenty-four randomized controlled trials involving 3406 participants met review inclusion.

THERAPEUTIC ADVANCES:
Meta-analysis of 15 trials found that ivermectin reduced risk of death compared with no ivermectin (average risk ratio 0.38, 95% confidence interval 0.19–0.73; n = 2438; I2 = 49%; moderate-certainty evidence). This result was confirmed in a trial sequential analysis using the same DerSimonian–Laird method that underpinned the unadjusted analysis. This was also robust against a trial sequential analysis using the Biggerstaff–Tweedie method. Low-certainty evidence found that ivermectin prophylaxis reduced COVID-19 infection by an average 86% (95% confidence interval 79%–91%). Secondary outcomes provided less certain evidence. Low-certainty evidence suggested that there may be no benefit with ivermectin for “need for mechanical ventilation,” whereas effect estimates for “improvement” and “deterioration” clearly favored ivermectin use. Severe adverse events were rare among treatment trials and evidence of no difference was assessed as low certainty. Evidence on other secondary outcomes was very low certainty.

CONCLUSIONS:
Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.

Dr. Fauci's NIH approved hydroxychloroquine 15 years ago to cure coronaviruses
[Tech Startups] SARS-CoV-2 is one of the seven coronaviruses identified by CDC. The sixth and the seventh of the coronaviruses are: SARS-CoV (the beta coronavirus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS) and SARS-CoV-2 (the novel coronavirus that causes coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19) respectively.

Why all of a sudden hydroxychloroquine is considered an unsafe drug? After all, hydroxychloroquine is still being used to treat lupus patients. To answer this question, we have to back to the month of March 2020. It all started back after President Trump threw his support for the drug and opened the floodgates of criticisms after he touted the drug as a potential game-changer. Many in the mainstream media accusing him of promoting an unsafe drug. When asked about President Trump's tweet, Dr. Anthony Fauci said: "the anecdotal reports … may be true," and that the President's message of "hope for people" with #coronavirus is "not unreasonable" & "not incompatible" with total confirmation."
So after a cautious - scientific, even - initial response to Trump's statement, Fauci subsequently went all in with the anti-Trumpers and the media.
According to NIH own study conducted in 2005 titled, "Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread," chloroquine, a sister drug to hydroxychloroquine, was found to be "effective in preventing the spread of SARS CoV in cell culture."
From the NIH study -
Results
We report, however, that chloroquine has strong antiviral effects on SARS-CoV infection of primate cells. These inhibitory effects are observed when the cells are treated with the drug either before or after exposure to the virus, suggesting both prophylactic and therapeutic advantage.
Seems like some researchers might've built on the 2005 work. If they could get funding.

Norway Opts Out of the Pandemic Club
[Epoch Times] Norway will end all COVID-19-related restrictions starting Saturday, Sept. 25, the government announced, joining a growing list of countries and states that have removed pandemic curbs.

"It is 561 days since we introduced the toughest measures in Norway in peacetime ... Now the time has come to return to a normal daily life," Prime Minister Erna Solberg told a news conference on Friday.

The virus can now be considered as one of several respiratory illnesses with seasonal variation, said Geir Bukholm, the assistant director for the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, according to local media. In Norway, COVID-19 has been classified as a generally dangerous disease, but the official classification could change soon, he said.

"This is because the vast majority of those at risk are protected," Bukholm said, referring to the country’s vaccination campaign. According to the Norwegian Institute for Public Health, about 67 percent of the population is fully vaccinated.
However, there are some travel restriction.
Nearby Sweden earlier this month announced it will remove most of its COVID-19 restrictions.

An announcement from the Swedish government on Sept. 7 said that restrictions on public venues such as restaurants, theaters, and stadiums will be removed on Sept. 29.

ICMR drops Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine from Covid-19 treatment guidelines
[OneIndia] The National Task Force on Covid 19 has dropped Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine from revised "clinical guidance for management of adult COVID-19 patients".

The studies showed no clarity with relation to mortality benefit, no effect on length of stay, clinical recovery in case of Ivermectin medicine.

Meanwhile, the WHO panel also recommends against the use of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine in patients with COVID-19 regardless of disease severity.

The latest guidance adds to previous recommendations for the use of interleukin-6 receptor blockers and systemic corticosteroids for patients with severe or critical COVID-19.

The WHO Guideline Development Group (GDG) panel recommends treatment combining casirivimab and imdevimab for two specific groups of patients with COVID-19.

The first recommendation is based on new evidence from three trials that have not yet been peer reviewed.

The trial show that casirivimab and imdevimab may reduce the risk of hospitalisation and duration of symptoms in those at highest risk of severe disease, such as unvaccinated, older, or immunosuppressed patients.

The second recommendation is based on data from another trial which shows that the two antibodies probably reduce deaths and the need for mechanical ventilation in seronegative patients.

This study showed that treatment with Casirivimab and imdevimab led 49 fewer deaths per 1,000 in the severely ill and 87 fewer deaths in the critically ill patients.

For all other COVID-19 patients, any benefits of this antibody treatment are unlikely to be meaningful, the panel noted.

Casirivimab and imdevimab are monoclonal antibodies that when used together bind to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, neutralising the virus's ability to infect cells.

Joe Biden Blames His Failures on 'What I Inherited' from Donald Trump
[BREITBART] President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family, the guy who bungled Afghanistan...
made excuses for his administration’s failures on Friday by blaming former President Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
"Take a look at what I inherited when I came into office, when I came into office the state of affairs, where we were," Biden said, repeating a familiar complaint by new presidents struggling in their first year of office.

The president spoke about the ongoing migrant and border crisis, his disastrous exit from Afghanistan, and growing Democrat infighting over his multitrillion-dollar agenda at the White House after a speech on coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
boosters.

"Remember I said it’s going to take a year to deliver everything I’m looking at here," Biden said to news hounds who questioned the chaotic direction of his presidency.

Biden acknowledged that his administration was still getting people out of Afghanistan, after withdrawing troops, but made the excuse that it was always going to be difficult to end the war.

"There’s no picturebook way to say, okay, the war has ended, let’s get everybody out and we’ll go home," Biden said. "No war has ever ended that way other than there’s been surrender and it’s a totally different circumstance."

The president also said he "took responsibility" for pictures of border agents on horses confronting Haitian migrants colonists on the Southern border, but blamed "those people" for damaging America’s reputation around the world.

He also claimed he did not look at his falling approval polls, despite discussing them with news hounds on September 11th.

"That’s why I don’t look at the polls. Not a joke," he said. "Because it’s going to go up and it’s going to go down, it’s going to go up, and hopefully at the end of the day I’ll be able to deliver on what I said I would do."

Biden promised that by the end of 2021, things in the country would be better.

"There’s a lot, I’m sure, along the line that there’s things I could have done better," he said. "But I make no apologies for my proposals, how I’m proceeding, and why I think by the end of the year we’re going to be in a very different place."

Taliban to Seek Funds for Families Harmed by Intl Forces
[ToloNews] Noor Mohammad Motavakil, a member of the Cultural Commission of the Information and Culture Ministry of the caretaker cabinet, on Friday told TOLOnews the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
will ask all countries involved in the Afghan war to pay compensation to victims’ families.
"we will distribute according to Islamic Law....after subtracting shipping and handling fees...and a little somethin' somethin' for the El Supremo and entourage"
Motavakil’s remarks followed a United Kingdom defense ministry announcement on Thursday saying the UK will pay war compensation to the families of victims harmed during UK forces Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s.

According to Motavakil, the Taliban has a list of all those who suffered from airstrikes in the last 20 years, and if the compensation is paid they are ready to distribute it to the victims’ families.

"Britannia has said it is ready to pay the compensation and we welcome this. Other countries involved in the war also should be ready and pay the compensation before the Islamic Emirate demands them to do so," he said.

According to the UK defense ministry, the UK has paid out £688,000 for 289 civilian deaths between 2006-2014, an average of £2,380 per person.

The UK defense ministry said compensation was set by legal principles, including past and future losses and local customs.

"I expect other countries to also pay war compensation to the harmed Afghans, as did Britannia," said Omid Qasimi, a Kabul resident.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pound, the little lost dog had finished eating the rat terrier...
members of a family that was targeted by a US airstrike on August 29 in Kabul, in which 10 members of the family were killed, called on the international community to offer compensation for the financial and human losses they suffered.

During this attack a house in Kabul was targeted and the US first said it had eliminated ISIS members who were trying to attack Kabul airport. However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
weeks later the Pentagon said all the victims were civilians and apologized to the family.

Durham Indictment Shows Clinton Likely Worked With Top Google Exec To Fabricate Russia Hoax, Says Google Whistleblower
[National File] In the bombshell felony indictment made public this week, Special Prosecutor John Durham alleged that agents of the 2016 Clinton campaign knowingly concocted false allegations that President Donald Trump was receiving secret hi-tech communications from the Kremlin-linked Alfa Bank. The Durham indictment further alleged that Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann intentionally spread that hoax to the FBI, Democrat-friendly media and another undisclosed federal agency under false pretenses.

Moreover, the Durham indictment identifies the mastermind of the operation to create spread and spread the Alfa Bank Hoax as a Big Tech executive, who allegedly "exploited" privately-held data of several large tech companies to create a false "narrative" about Trump-Russia collusion. This person may be Eric Schmidt, the former Executive Chairman of Alphabet, the parent company of Google.
World's largest spying and data analysis company known for close cooperation with America's largest spying and data analysis agency.
The white paper was allegedly the brainchild of one Clinton campaign confidant, who the Durham indictment refers to as Tech Executive-1, who "claimed to have been previously offered a position in government in the event Hillary Clinton won the Presidency" and "exploited his access to non-public data at multiple Internet companies to conduct opposition research concerning Trump ... By virtue of his position at Internet Company-1 and other companies, Tech Executive-1 maintained direct or indirect access to, and the ability to provide others access to, large amounts of internet and cybersecurity data, including DNS data," emphasis added by National File.

The Durham indictment refers to three tech companies which Tech Executive-1 leveraged influence over on behalf of the Clinton campaign:

Internet Company-1 "offers various Internet-related services and products, including Domain Name System ("DNS") resolution services"; Internet Company-2 "among other things, collected DNS data from various points on the internet"; and Internet Company-3 "received data that had been collected by Internet Company-2 or its parent company, and then used and analyzed that data in order to advise its private sector customers on cybersecurity and business risks."

It is unclear who the executive is, but Eric Schmidt seems to fit the description. At the time, he was Executive Chairman of Alphabet Inc, the parent company of Google, and an unofficial advisor to the Clinton campaign, who founded start-up The Groundwork to serve as a top-tier tech contractor for the campaign.

Alphabet is the parent company of Google, which owns the largest public DNS service in the world. Alphabet also had an ownership stake in Crowdstrike, which provided cybersecurity services to the DNC and took a leading role in investigating alleged Russian cyber-attacks against the DNC as well as the Clinton campaign.

Emails from 2014 published by Wikileaks revealed that John Podesta, chairman of the Clinton campaign, believed that Schmidt "clearly wants to be head outside advisor".

Exclusive: Dan Crenshaw Says Some Democrats ‘Quietly' Interested in Cutting Catch and Release for Illegal Aliens
[Breitbart] Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) says he is "quietly talking to Democrats" about cutting the Catch and Release process that many border crossers and illegal aliens utilize to be released and live illegally in the United States.

In an exclusive interview Thursday with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Daily, Crenshaw told Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow that allowing federal immigration officials to hold border crossers and illegal aliens for an extended time, rather than being forced to release them into the interior of the U.S., would be a "simple" fix to illegal immigration with massive impact.

The issue stems from the 1997 Flores Settlement Agreement, which judges have since expanded, where federal immigration officials are limited to holding child border crossers in custody for no longer than 20 days — regardless of whether or not they are accompanied by adults.

As a result, adult border crossers have used Flores by bringing children with them as they come to the U.S.-Mexico border in the hopes to claim "credible fear" and eventually get released into the U.S. interior with only the promise that they will show up to asylum hearings in the future.

"You just have to increase the number of days that we’re allowed to hold migrants ... until processing," Crenshaw said.

"Right now, that limit is 21 days, and because it’s 21 days, and this is for family units, this is why they bring kids with them because it guarantees them that Catch and Release status because you can’t hold them past that 21 days," Crenshaw continued. "And you can’t adjudicate a fake asylum claim in 21 days, you need 60 to 90 days."

There are some Democrats, Crenshaw said, that he is "quietly" speaking with to support bipartisan legislation that would allow federal immigration officials to hold adult border crossers with their children for longer than the 20-day period that Flores requires.

"I’m quietly talking to Democrats asking ’Is there anybody who will at least change this one thing and add money for more immigration judges and facilities?’ So you know let’s make the process work ... I’ve gotten some interest on that," Crenshaw said.

"I’m going to work that," he continued. "It would be a very simple one-page bill but would massively change what we’ve got going on right now."

Sudanese authorities have taken control of lucrative assets that for years provided backing for Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw,, shedding light on how the country served as a haven for the Paleostinian holy warrior group under former leader Omar al-Bashir
...Former President-for-Life of Sudan He came to power in 1989 when he, as a brigadier in the Sudanese army, led a group of officers in a bloodless military coup that ousted the government of Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and eventually appointed himself head cheese. He fell out with his Islamic mentor, Hasan al-Turabi, tried to impose shariah on the Christian and animist south, resulting in its secessesion, and attempted to Arabize Darfur by unleashing the barbaric Janjaweed on it. Sudan's potential prosperity has been pissed away in warfare that has left as many as 400,000 people dead and 2.5 million displaced. Hee was overthrown by popular consent in 2019. Omar has been indicted for genocide by the International Criminal Court but nothing is expected to come of it...
The takeover of at least a dozen companies that officials say were linked to Hamas has helped accelerate Sudan's realignment with the West since Bashir's overthrow in 2019. Over the past year, Khartoum has won removal from the U.S. state sponsors of terrorism (SST) list and is on course for relief of more than $50 billion in debt.

Hamas has lost a foreign base where members and supporters could live, raise money, and channel Iranian weapons and funds to the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip, Sudanese and Paleostinian analysts said.

Seized assets detailed by Sudanese official sources and a Western intelligence source show the reach of those networks.

According to officials from a task force set up to dismantle the Bashir regime, they include real estate, company shares, a hotel in a prime Khartoum location, an exchange bureau, a TV station, and more than a million acres of farmland.

Sudan became a centre for money laundering and terrorism financing, said Wagdi Salih, a leading member of the task force - the Committee to Dismantle the June 30, 1989 Regime and Retrieve Public Funds.

The system was "a big cover, a big umbrella, internally and externally", he said.

A Western intelligence source said techniques were used in Sudan that are common to organised crime: Companies were headed by trustee shareholders, rents collected in cash, and transfers made through exchange bureaux.

Hamas investments in Sudan began with small-scale ventures such as fast food restaurants before venturing into real estate and construction, according to an official on the task force.

An example was Hassan and Alabed, which started as a cement company and expanded into large real estate developments.

The task force says it was in a network with about 10 other large companies with interlinking share ownership connected to Bashir ally Abdelbasit Hamza that moved large sums through foreign bank accounts.

The biggest was Alrowad Real Estate Development, established in 2007 and listed on Khartoum's stock exchange, with subsidiaries that the Western intelligence source said laundered money and traded in currency to finance Hamas.

Hamza was placed in durance vile
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
in April for 10 years on corruption charges and sent to the Khartoum prison where Bashir is being held. The task force said he had assets worth up to $1.2 billion in his name. Hamza's lawyer, who also represents Bashir, could not be reached for comment.

A second network, worth up to $20 million, revolved around the broadcaster Tayba and an associated charity named Almishkat. It was run by two Hamas members who got citizenship and amassed businesses and real estate, according to Maher Abouljokh, the caretaker brought in to manage Tayba. The TV channel was funnelling money from the Gulf, laundered millions of dollars, and had clear links to Hamas, said Abouljokh.

Contacted by Rooters, Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri
...a senior spokesman for Hamas. Zuhri gained notoriety in 2006 when he dropped his money belt containing somewhere between 640,000 and 900,000 euros, which was confiscated by Paleostinian security and customs officials at a routine border crossing from Egypt to Gaza. The news brought competing Hamas and Fatah forces to the crossing checkpoint for an epic face-making and hollering contest...
denied the group had investments in Sudan, but acknowledged an impact from Sudan's political shift: "Unfortunately, there were several measures that weakened the presence of the movement (Hamas) in the country (Sudan) and limited political ties with it," he said.

A former U.S. diplomat who worked on Sudan under the Trump administration said shutting down the Hamas network was a focus in negotiations with Khartoum. "We were pushing on an open door," he said.

The United States gave Sudan a list of companies to shut down, according to one Sudanese source and the Western intelligence source. The State Department declined to comment.

Many Hamas-affiliated figures went to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
with some liquid assets but left behind about 80% of their investments, the task force official said.

Sudan's transitional leaders "consider themselves the exact antithesis of Bashir in regional terms," said Sudanese analyst Magdi El Gazouli. "They want to sell themselves as a component of the new security order in the region."

"The coup against al-Bashir caused real problems for Hamas and Iran," said Paleostinian analyst Adnan Abu Amer. "Hamas and Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
had to look for alternatives - alternatives that had not been in place because the coup against al-Bashir was a sudden one."

There is change in strategy from across the border: IGP
[GREATERKASHMIR] Inspector General of Police Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain.
Zone Vijay Kumar on Thursday said that feeling frustrated over the prevailing peaceful atmosphere in J&K, "there is change in strategy from across the border".

"The prevailing peaceful atmosphere, rising number of tourist arrivals, visit of union minister and peaceful situation after death of Syed Ali Shah Geelani have brought frustration among the handlers across the border," Kumar told newsmen during a joint presser with GOC 15 corps, Lt Gen D P Pandey.

"There is change in strategy from across the border," he said.

Hailing the people for "their maturity after the death of Geelani", IGP Kashmir said new the strategy from across the border is to carry out attacks here by "hybrid bully boys". "85 percent attacks on police and other people were carried out with pistols," he said, adding that till today 97 pistols have been seized.

The Kashmir Police chief said: "Pakistain is pushing small weapons (Pistols) so that killings with labels like informers are carried out."

He said that more measures have been taken to prevent killings.

Kumar said that they have asked their personnel to adhere to the advisory. "Most of the coppers killed this year were unarmed and it seems a pattern," he said adding that in Kulgam SOG cop went out of camp and was shot. "Our PSI sahib was shot from behind and his party was only some meters away."

The senior police officer said that they were behind "hybrid bully boys".

"When we arrest one OGW and we get to know about five others," he added.

Biden: Those mounted Border Patrol agents will pay; DHS considers eliminating horse patrol

[HOTAIR] "Those people will pay," Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body....
promised, making the Border Patrol a bigger target for the president than the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
, apparently. Biden got confronted in his presser this morning over the border crisis, with one news hound pressing him to explain how his promises of humane treatment square with the images seen from Del Rio. Biden seized on the misinformation about alleged whippings by the Border Patrol’s mounted units, promising "consequences" for the agents in question:

Our pal Guy Benson notes the contrast between Biden’s assessment of American law enforcement and the "business"-minded people currently reinstating amputations in Afghanistan:
First, how appropriate is it for Biden to threaten these agents with "consequences" before any due process takes place, let alone some due diligence? All of this nonsense has been driven by photographs that don’t show anyone being whipped at all, a point that the photographer himself makes to anyone who will listen to him:

The photographs, which were taken Sunday, appear to show agents on horses with a whip in hand. The photos caused outrage because from certain angles, it appears to show Border Patrol whipping migrants colonists, but photographer Paul Ratje said he and his colleagues never saw agents whipping anyone.

"Some of the Haitian men started running, trying to go around the horses," Ratje said.

Ratje is a photographer based in Las Cruces and has been in Del Rio since Friday. He said took the photographs from the Mexican side.

"I’ve never seen them whip anyone," Ratje said. "He was swinging it, but it can be misconstrued when you’re looking at the picture."

Or it can be misconstrued deliberately for a president who’s desperate for a distraction. Biden’s using the Border Patrol agents as scapegoats to distract from the border crisis Biden and his administration created. It’s as simple as that, and Biden is getting cover for that distraction campaign by national media outlets who prefer narratives to truth. Biden’s need for a distraction intersects nicely with their preference of a narrative that immigration enforcement is by its nature racist and inhumane. Ergo, we have this absurd disgrace.

The union representing these Border Patrol agents will no doubt push back hard on this false narrative and presidential smear. Will those same national media outlets report this when the narrative collapses? I’ll believe it when I see it.

DHS Secretary Alejandros Mayorkas Considers Eliminating Border Horse Patrol Citing 'Systemic Racism'

[BREITBART] Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandros Mayorkas signaled he would consider getting rid of the Border Horse Patrol entirely, citing their behavior as the "worst elements" of "systemic racism
...the idea that the nation is racist to the core, always was, and always will be. 330 million Americans live in Selma, Alabama in 1965, and we're never, ever leaving...
" in the United States.

During the daily press briefing at the White House, Mayorkas was repeatedly questioned about images captured on the border of agents on horses confronting Haitian migrants colonists, which outraged Democrats and civil rights activists.

"Those images painfully conjured up the worst elements of our nation’s ongoing battle against systemic racism," Mayorkas said.

When asked if he would get rid of the horse patrol unit entirely, Mayorkas said he would "take a look" at the possibility.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
1 Palestinian killed, 12 reportedly injured by gunfire as protesters clash with Israeli forces near Nablus
[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] One Paleostinian has died and at least 12 have reportedly been injured as Israeli troops fired at a group protesting against the building of Jewish settlements in the towns of Beita and Beit Dajan near Nablus.

On Friday, Paleostinian media reported the locals had clashed with the Israeli Army in towns around Nablus in the occupied West Bank, citing sources within the Paleostinian Red Islamic Thingy (PRC).

Paleostinian news agency SAFA said protestors had attended Friday prayers before heading toward the village of Beita, an Israeli settlement that has been the focus of near-daily demonstrations. The protesters shouted slogans highlighting their opposition to the occupation, SAFA reported.

Israeli troops responded by firing stun grenades and rubber-coated rounds. Some reports also suggested that live fire was used. Local media said that at least 12 were maimed by the gunfire and another 18 suffered from exposure to tear gas.

The Paleostinian Ministry of Health said in a Facebook post that one protester was killed after being shot in the head, despite being rushed to hospital. The young man was identified by AFP as Mohammed Ali Khabisa, 27.

Videos shared online also appear to show a protester being hurried into the back of an ambulance.
The Times of Israel adds:
Beita residents have been holding regular protests near neighboring Evyatar for the past several months in protests of the illegal outpost’s establishment on what they say is private Paleostinian land. Israeli authorities have not yet determined whether that is the case, but have not objected to the outpost’s illegal establishment.

The wildcat community initially consisted of several dozen Israeli families and homes, but the former agreed to vacate in a July agreement with the government, which saw the outpost illegal structures remain intact and the army establish a permanent presence on the hilltop.

Meanwhile,
...back at the hoedown, the fiddler suddenly struck a sour note. The dancing stopped abruptly. Everyone looked at Bob...
the protests continue. More than 700 Paleostinians have been injured and with Friday’s reported death, the number of Paleostinians killed since the unrest erupted in May climbed to at least eight, according to the Paleostinian health ministry.

Turkish forces and affiliated armed factions target al-Tawila village west of Tel Tamr, NE Syria
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Turkish shelling force residents of Syria's Hasakah to sleep in the open

[NPASYRIA] In the village of al-Mujaibra in the countryside of Tel Tamr town, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria, Ahmad al-Shelo examines his destroyed house as a result of the bombing by Ottoman Turkish forces and Ottoman Turkish-backed armed Syrian factions, which are stationed on the outskirts of the village.

For more than a month, dozens of villages north of Tel Tamr have been witnessing intensive shelling on the frontlines between areas held by Ottoman Turkish-backed factions and those held by Forces of both Tel Tamer and Syriac Military Councils which are affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

So far, the shelling resulted in the destruction of several houses, properties, and the killing and injury of dozens of residents.

"We sleep in the open"
Days ago, shrapnel scattered and an artillery shell, which did not explode, fell down among the debris of al-Shelo’s house.

"Here we do not feel safe, because shells may fall on us any time," al-Shelo said.

"Despite having no faceless myrmidons in the village, shelling continues and targets our possessions, as you see," he added.

"Those, who are stayed in the village, spent the night in the agricultural lands for fear of losing their lives inside their houses," al-Shelo stated.

Despite signing two separate ceasefire agreements between with both Russia and the US in 2019 following the its invasion on Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Tel Abyad, the families in villages near frontlines are worried about their fate in light of the Ottoman Turkish escalation in the region.

"The almost daily bombardment, which has been going on for about a month, has no specific timing. Sometimes it takes place throughout the night and other times during the day."

Additionally, the shelling targeted vital, service, and education facilities in the countryside of Tel Tamr including power stations and lines causing them to went out of service.

Most of the shells fall down and do not explode raising residents’ fears regarding their lives and their children’s lives since most of them graze sheep and cultivate their lands on the outskirts of the village, according to al-Shelo.

"These bombs, when they are fired, light up the sky and turn night into day," he noted, holding remnants of an exploding light bomb in his hand.

As a result of the successive Ottoman Turkish shelling, dozens of families in the northern villages left their houses and headed towards the town of Tel Tamr and different cities in the Jazira region.

This is taking place in a time when IDP camps in Hasakah, which are overcrowded, refuse to receive new families, according to families.

Meanwhile,
...back at the laboratory the smoke and fumes had dispersed, to reveal an ominous sight...
both the Syriac and Tel Tamr Military Councils ban the move between the villages near the frontlines as a result of targeting transportations.

As for al-Dardara village, one kilometer from al-Mujaibra, it is witnessing an almost daily bombardment.

More than two-thirds of the village was destroyed, as well as the school and the service council building, local military officials indicated.

Ten days ago, the young man Jihad Ali was maimed by shrapnel of a shell that fell near him while he was grazing his sheep in the vicinity of his village.

Ali tried to protect himself from the shelling, but a shell fell near him, "wounding my leg as a result of the scattered shrapnel," he added.

"For about a month, we have not stayed in the village, we came to inspect our houses, on a daily basis, and then we return to sleep in the open," he added.

-Land of the Free
Civilization Requires Deterrence - VDH
[Epoch Times] Deterrence is the ancient ability to scare somebody off from hurting you, your friends, or your interests‐without a major war.

Desire peace? Then be prepared for war. Or so the Romans believed.

It's an easily understood concept in the abstract. But deterrence still remains a mystical quality in the concrete since it is only acquired with difficulty and yet easily forfeited.

The tired democracies of the 1930s learned that lesson when they kept acquiescing to Hitler's serial aggressions.

Hitler's Germany foolishly later attacked a far stronger Soviet Union in 1941, given Moscow's lost deterrence after its lackluster performances in Poland and Finland, its pact with the Nazis, and its recent purges of its own officer corps.

Deterrence is omnipresent and also applies well beyond matters of war and peace. The current crime wave of murder and violent assault in our major cities is the wage of loud efforts to defund the police and contextualize crimes as somehow society's rather than the criminal's fault.

As a result, lawbreakers now believe there is a good chance that robbing people or hurting or killing them might result in monetary gain or at least bloody satisfaction. They no longer fear a likely sentence of 30 years in prison. So, they see little risk in hurting people. And innocents suffer.

Rep. Jim Banks: Joe Biden Skirting Own Taxes While Pushing for Higher Taxes on Americans
[Breitbart] Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) said Friday a government report suggested that President Joe Biden avoided paying payroll taxes; Biden’s $3.5 trillion infrastructure bill would raise taxes on Americans making over $50,000 per year.

Banks, the chairman of the RSC, said that a Congressional Research Service (CRS) report implied that Biden improperly avoided paying Medicare taxes. This might raise the possibility that Biden could owe the IRS as much as $500,000 in back taxes.

Biden and first lady Jill Biden put more than $13 million in income through S corporations and counted less than $800,000 of it as eligible for Medicare taxes, the Wall Street Journal reported in 2019.

"The CRS report doesn’t name Biden but analyzes cases in which the IRS won a judgment against taxpayers who paid themselves suspiciously low salaries from S corporations and counted most of the revenue as "distributions" exempt from the Medicare tax," the New York Post noted.

The report follows as Biden and congressional Democrats continue to push their $3.5 trillion infrastructure bill, which according to the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT), would raise taxes on Americans making more than $50,000 annually.

The House Ways and Means Committee draft of the bill would end Biden’s use of S corporations to avoid Medicare taxes.

US House of Representatives rejects proposal to end US presence in Syria
[NPASYRIA] On Friday, the US House of Representatives rejected an amendment proposed by the Democratic Congressman Jamaal Bowman aiming at ending the presence of US forces in Syria, a year after the legislation was activated.
Jamaal is the newest member of the AOC Squad.
The activation of the amendment required the approval of the majority of the Congress members, but 286 members of the House of Representatives voted to reject it and 141 supported it.

Meanwhile,
...back at the game, the Babe headed for second base. He almost made it. Then Sheila slapped him....
187 Republicans and 99 Democrats voted to reject the Bowman’s amendment to remove US forces from Syria.

The amendment also included a proposal to prevent the allocation of a special budget for the US forces’ presence in Syria in preparation for their final withdrawal after a period of six months to a year.

On September 23, the US Department of Defense allocated a budget of $177 million approved by Congress for training and arming efforts against the Islamic State

Yesterday, on Thursday, the US House of Representatives adopted a bill presented by the Representative Ro Khanna, to end US logistical support provided to Saudi Arabia

New Iranian fuel ship arrives Lebanon
[NPASYRIA] Yesterday, on Thursday evening, the National News Agency (NNA) in Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch. In 2020 Hezbollahblew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate faci8lity exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that...
said that Hezbollah announced, in a statement, the arrival of the second ship loaded with fuel coming from Iran

On August 19, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...
, the secretary-general of Hezbollah, announced the departure of a ship carrying fuel from Iran to Lebanon, noting that the second ship would sail from Iran in a few days.

Earlier yesterday, the Iranian Mehr News Agency
...And if you can't believe Mehr News Agency who can you believe?...
(MNA) reported that the fifth convoy of Iranian diesel tanks crossed the Syrian border into Lebanon.

A new convoy of diesel trucks entered Lebanon through the Syrian border on September 22, according to al-Mayadeen TV.

On September 16, activists posted a video of trucks loaded with diesel crossing the Lebanese-Syrian border on social media.

On September 19, the ship tracking website Tanker Trackers announced the move of a third Iranian oil tanker towards Lebanon.

Tanker Trackers tweeted that the third tanker carrying Iranian fuel, designated for delivering fuel to Hezbollah in Lebanon, is loaded and on the way to Lebanon.

Lebanon is witnessing a shortage of energy supplies, a sharp rise in food prices and the most severe financial crisis in its history.

The Central Bank recently announced the lifting of fuel subsidies, which aggravated the financial and economic situation in the country, while the World Bank described the crisis in Lebanon as the worst on the global level in a century and a half.

Chipotle customer threatens staff with a rod: 'Somebody better give me my food!'
[NYPOST] This is the moment a hungry Chipotle customer whips out a rosco gun and shouts, "Somebody better give me my food!" after being told the restaurant is closing soon.

Surveillance video, released by police Wednesday, shows the woman threatening a cashier at a Chipotle in the Roosevelt Mall in Philadelphia last Saturday night.

Police said the unidentified woman was waiting in line to order just before 5 p.m. when the manager announced the store was closing soon.

The manager said all remaining customers had to place their orders online because the restaurant was short on staff.

The footage shows the woman slowly pulling out a black handgun from her bag and waving it at employees behind the counter as she demands to speak to the manager.

#1  A couple things about this story: We've been told for a long time that Chipotle customers are the hippest, most chill fast food customers there are. So what's this deal? And, yeah, I do know lots of jobs are going wanting and food products are in short supply due to covidian market distortions, but closing at 5 pm? Seems a bit odd.

#2  I'd wager their better food sales are over lunch and if you can only crew one shift, that's the one, the 9-5. Not sure what the closing procedures are, but I bet they start no later than 4. Personally I would probably have the crew show up at 10 so there is the extra hour after 5 for cleaning/tomorrow prep without the overtime costs.

Then again, I was in fast food joint which I swear was running a skeleton crew on purpose, counting on the patience and covid protocol understanding of the customer to wait 30 minutes.

#4  ....Interestingly, this is the second major shipbuilding contract the French have lost recently. They were bidding for what became the Constellation class FFG, but the Italian variant of the French design was cheaper and more aligned with what we needed, not to mention the Italians already had a yard here in the states with a terrific work record and could get underway immediately.

What I'm hearing from a few friends as far as the Aussie sub contract goes is that there were a lot of problems, and the French really didn't seem too interested in fixing them. There were in turn two big issues at the front:

1) The cost of these beasts kept going up, and though the Aussies expected that to a certain extent, the French attitude was to smile, shrug their shoulders, and keep adding up the charges.
2) French SSNs need refueling every seven to ten years - and the French weren't discussing any options other than to bring them back to France for 36 months at a minimum (more if the French Navy's own boats were in line first) and then pay even more charges. Although the Australians could certainly build the infrastructure to do it themselves, that's still more expense and the only reason their native Greens Etc. are letting them get away with SSNs in the first place is because China's not smart enough to shut the hell up and leave them alone. Otherwise the protests would be loud and never-ending. Current US and UK boats though have life-of-the-boat reactors - they are good for 25 to 30 years with no refueling and only need minor mechanical and software upgrades.

The Aussies didn't take well to being told that their only option was to keep paying more and more and more...and the French couldn't figure out when to put a clamp on the prices. The only people for the French to be angry at are the ones in the mirror.

#6  Well, the yards in Cherbourg could get to work on developing the next generation of Israeli missile boats. Again.
Posted by: ed in texas || 09/25/2021 11:45 Comments || Top||

#7  Mike, the Aussie Boats the French were going for weren't nuke boats; they were French Barracuda (Suffren) boats without reactors, and AIP installed instead. The test stand drive unit that had been built for demo couldn't deliver the power promised for time. So they were going to add a diesel for surface charge. In which case, why AIP?
Meanwhile, project cost had doubled, with more in sight.
At same time, as China secured more of the South China Sea, the utility of a littoral sub decreased. And AIP boats are littoral service, they don't have the legs for sustained blue water use. The power curve works against them.
So, because of the distances involved, the Aussies arrives at needing nuke powered boats.
And for TSM's question, the answer is 1 half constructed, zero delivered. Delivery had been pushed back to 2028 or longer.

#10  It doesn't make sense from a cost or schedule standpoint to build the subs in Australia. If the Aussies choose the Virgina subs, then it more sense to build the subs in the US and then have the Aussies build the FREMM class or even the Hunter class frigates for the US Navy. Do what each does best and maximize savings and schedule.

Tunisia's Saied Strengthens Presidential Powers in Decrees
[AnNahar] Tunisian President Kaïs Saied issued presidential decrees bolstering the already near-total power he granted himself two months ago.

Wednesday's decrees include the continuing suspension of the Parliament's powers and the suspension of all politicians' immunity from prosecution. But the text published in the official gazette went even further — now freezing politicians' salaries.

They also state Saied's intention from now on to rule by presidential decree alone and ignore parts of the constitution. Laws will not go through the parliament, whose powers are frozen, granting him near-unlimited power.

On July 25, Saied sacked Tunisia's prime minister, suspended parliament and assumed executive authority, saying it was because of a national emergency. His critics called it a coup.

For law professor Mouna Kraiem, the new emergency measures amount to "the establishment of a dictatorship in the full sense of the word."

Saied has denied wanting to be a dictator, saying that he eventually aims to put his political reforms to the public in the form of a nationwide referendum. But his political critics remain skeptical of this intention.

The July event came after years of economic sluggishness, but were triggered by a day of violent mostly peaceful protest and a rise in coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)

Chad plans to double army size to deal with security challenges
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Chad's transitional government said on Friday that it plans to drastically increase the size of its army to deal with security challenges, including threats from turbans and armed rebels.

Defence Minister General Daoud Yaya Brahim told parliament that the army has begun the process of increasing the total number of troops to 60,000 by the end of 2022, from 35,000 currently.

"We have already started the process with the recruitment and training of soldiers and non-commissioned officers. The objective is to build elite unites capable of adapting to the asymmetric warfare our Sahel countries are facing," Brahim said.

Chad, alongside neighbours Nigeria, Cameroon

, are battling turbans linked to al-Qaeda and ISIS.

The Chadian army is also fighting rebels in the north of the country. Former President Idriss Deby was killed in April while visiting troops on the frontline fighting the Libya-based rebels.

Brahim told parliament that the army would be seeking more funding in the next budget for defence spending.

Fort Bliss woman soldier assaulted at Afghan refugee camp
This is the second tale of Afghan refugees behaving badly in as many days. See yesterday’s story here.
[KVIA ABC affiliate] The FBI is investigating the assault of a female Fort Bliss soldier by several male Afghan refugees at the Army's Doña Ana Complex camp where thousands are currently being housed, officials told ABC-7 on Friday.

"We can confirm a female service member supporting Operation Allies Welcome reported being assaulted on Sept. 19 by a small group of male evacuees at the Doña Ana Complex in New Mexico," said Lt. Col. Allie Payne, director of Public Affairs for Fort Bliss and the 1st Armored Division.

She said the assaulted soldier had received medical care and counseling. In the wake of the attack, Payne said additional security measures - including improved lightning - were being implemented at the Doña Ana Complex.

But sources with knowledge of the case told ABC-7 that the soldier was attacked around midnight last Sunday by at least three Afghan men near her car after she arrived at the complex for duty.

The assault wasn't sexual in the nature, the sources said, adding that the woman soldier's injuries didn't require hospitalization and she was physically doing fine as of now.

Oklahoma dad hops into action when he sees man touching boy inappropriately at bus stop
[FOXNEWS] A father in Oklahoma City tackled a local pastor who was seen inappropriately touching his son at a bus stop, leaving the suspect with a cracked skull and a bloody mugshot.

"There’s hardly any words that are camera appropriate," witness Lisa Ward said of the incident. "It’s just sickening."

Oklahoma City Police arrested the suspect, Michael Coghill, on Wednesday, after he was recorded on camera touching a nine-year-old boy at a bus stop and was confronted by the boy’s father, according to News9. The police department, however, could not confirm to Fox News that the boy's father was the one to confront the suspect due to the Open Records Act.

Local residents said that Coghill is a local pastor in the area.

The boy told police that Coghill would often jog near the bus stop and had stopped by the area on more than one occasion, according to the police report obtained by Fox News.

The boy said Coghill had visited the bus stop on Monday and touched him in a way that made him uncomfortable. The boy also told his parents about the incident on Monday, and the father accompanied the boy to the bus stop on Wednesday, according to local reports.

"He knew the time he would be there every day," Ward told News9 of Coghill. "That was the hardest part, the most disgusting part."

The victim’s father sat in his car waiting to see if Coghill would make an appearance and touch the child inappropriately. As the boy made his way to the stop, Coghill stopped his jog and approached the boy, according to the police report.

"While he was watching the school bus stop, our suspect ran by him, ran past the bus stop where the children were waiting. Turned around, came back and stopped where he touched the child," Sgt. Dillon Quirk with the Oklahoma City Police Department said.

Coghill was seen placing his hand on the child’s side, before he moved his hand to the backside of the boy. The father recorded the incident, which was given to police, and proceeded to tackle Coghill.

Coghill's skull was fractured and his orbital socket cracked on the left side of his face.

"He was in the cop car all bloody," Ward added.

Coghill is a pastor at Lakehoma Church of Christ, which issued a statement condemning the abuse.

"We were heartbroken to learn of the incident involving one of our adult ministers, and our hearts go out to the child and family involved. We were shocked at this news as he had a clean background check, and we have received no reports or claims against him during his tenure. Church leadership has no tolerance for any type of abuse and is meeting tonight to discuss next steps. We will cooperate with authorities as needed," the statement said, according to News9.

#2  Dad is a natural conservative -- someone who expresses disgust for and willingness to punish perversion -- and a Jacksonian who takes care of the home team first.

Walter Russell Mead on the latter:

The most powerful driver of Jacksonian political engagement in domestic politics, similarly, is the perception that Jacksonians are being attacked by internal enemies, such as an elite cabal or immigrants from different backgrounds. Jacksonians worry about the U.S. government being taken over by malevolent forces bent on transforming the United States’ essential character.

They are not obsessed with corruption, seeing it as an ineradicable part of politics. But they care deeply about what they see as perversion—when politicians try to use the government to oppress the people rather than protect them.

And that is what many Jacksonians came to feel was happening in recent years, with powerful forces in the American elite, including the political establishments of both major parties, in cahoots against them.

Many Jacksonians came to believe that the American establishment was no longer reliably patriotic, with “patriotism” defined as an instinctive loyalty to the well-being and values of Jacksonian America. And they were not wholly wrong, by their lights.

Many Americans with cosmopolitan sympathies see their main ethical imperative as working for the betterment of humanity in general. Jacksonians locate their moral community closer to home, in fellow citizens who share a common national bond. If the cosmopolitans see Jacksonians as backward and chauvinistic, Jacksonians return the favor by seeing the cosmopolitan elite as near treasonous—people who think it is morally questionable to put their own country, and its citizens, first.

Man tries to storm JetBlue cockpit, attacks attendant, asks to be shot
[NYPOST] A passenger aboard a JetBlue flight from Boston to Puerto Rico tried to storm the cockpit before choking a flight attendant — and shouted at the pilot in Arabic and Spanish to shoot him, officials said.
"The White Zone is for loading and unloading. The Green Zone is for diplomacy. The Gray Zone is for conundrums."
Flight 261 was about an hour from San Juan late Wednesday when Khalil El Dahr became enraged
...those Irish can be so temperamental...
after a phone call he tried to make was unsuccessful,
"We're sorry. The number you have dialed is non-existent. Please hang up and make the people around you suffer."
according to an FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
affidavit obtained by ABC News.
With the Feebs involved there's no telling what actually happened.
Some 25 minutes later, he "pulled himself out of his seat and rushed toward the flight deck yelling to be shot" in Spanish, the document says.
"Shoot me! Shoot me!... Stop that! I didn't say touch me!"
The heroic
...Gary Cooper in a dress...
flight attendant pushed El Dahr into a space between the front row and the galley, the feds said.
[Shove!] "Stay, boy!"
"Say! That's my feet he's sprawled on!"
"Sorry. Put your shoes on. He's a biter!"

When the crazed man saw the cockpit door being opened by a pilot, he grabbed the flight attendant by the collar and tie, grasped the overhead compartment for leverage and kicked the crew member in the chest, the affidavit says.
[KICK!]
"Ow!"
"Thanks for gettin' off my feet!!"
"Shuddup!"
"At least spit my shoes out! They cost a lotta money!"
“Shuddup!"

He then allegedly yelled again for the pilot to shoot him.
"Shoot me! Shoot me!"
"Why?"
"I missed a Zoom call!"
"Sorry. I don't have a gun with me. We're not allowed to take them outta the cockpit. We got a lotta forms to fill in when we do."
"Oh."
[PUNCH!]
"Ow! Hey! I'm bleeding! What the hell was that?"
"Knuckle dusters. There's no paperwork with them."

"While El Dahr was yelling, he was still holding the JetBlue (flight attendant) by her tie.
"Gurk?"
This resulted in the tie tightening and ultimately prevented the JetBlue FA from breathing," the affidavit reads.
[Swoon!]
[COLLAPSE!]

The flight attendant managed to break loose from the man and prevented him from reaching the cockpit.
[SNIP!]
"Hey, you!"
"You carry scissors?"
"You never know, do ya?"
"Don't run with them. Take my advice!"
"Shuddup!"
"You got shoe polish on your chin!"
"Shuddup!"
[TACKLE!]

But the struggle continued until six or seven crew members finally immobilized El Dahr using makeshift restraints, including the flight attendant’s tie, which they wrapped around his ankles, and seatbelt extenders they used around his torso, the document says.
"DOG PILE ON THE RABBIT!
"DOG PILE ON THE RABBIT!"

El Dahr, who also was restrained with flex cuffs, was then tied to a seat in the back of the plane for the rest of the flight.

Another flight attendant told authorities that the passenger demanded in Spanish and Arabic
...an interesting combination. Is he some sort of hyphenated American or a legal or illegal visitor from elsewhere? Is he a known wolf or nutter? On drugs? So much is not mentioned in any of the articles I could find on the subject, though one hopes the answers are written down in his FBI file ...
to be shot and killed — and that at one point he yelled "Allah."
"I told him this is Jet Blue. if we shoot one, then all the steerage passengers are gonna want put out o' their misery!"
"Mrp?"
[pluck.]
"What was that you tried to say?"
"I said, thanks. I'm over it. I sometimes have these spells. I'm Arab, you know. It's genetic. I'm much better now. Let me up? I really gotta pee!"
"Shuddup." [stuff!]
"Mrp!"

El Dahr faces felony charges of interfering with a flight crew, Special Agent William Lopez of the FBI’s San Juan Division said in the affidavit.
"Nossir. We ain't allowed to shoot you without fillin' in forms. But we can put you up for a few years pretty easy."
Reports of unruly passengers on US airlines have taken off this year — spiking by 500 percent thanks largely to passengers who refused to wear masks on flights during the pandemic, according to a report from the Federal Aviation Administration.

Hundreds of people protested in Kabul on Friday, demanding that the US release billions of dollars in central bank reserves blocked outside Afghanistan as the new Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
government struggles to contain a deepening economic crisis.

The well-organized demonstration, featuring banners with messages printed in English, came as Taliban officials stepped up demands for more than $9 billion in foreign reserves held abroad to be handed over.

"We want them to unfreeze this money as it’s only Afghanistan’s money," said Nooruddin Jalali, a member of the Afghan Moslem youth association NAJM, who attended the protest.
Khaama Press points out:
The all-male protest was well protected by the Taliban fighters and was staged in the middle of Kabul city.
Tolo News names names:
The Afghan Society of Muslim Youth in a gathering on Friday asked the international community and world charity institutions to keep assisting Afghanistan.

Abdul Wahed Hemat, head of the society of Muslim youth, said: “If you are a supporter of human rights, you should keep helping Afghanistan.”
