Atlanta hate hoax: Author of KKK notes turns out to be black woman
[HotAir] This happened in a suburb of Atlanta called Douglasville. At least seven black families in one subdivision began receiving letters that claimed to have come from a man who described himself as a member of the KKK. This local news report from March describes the letters as containing “frightening and racist terroristic threats.” One man who received one of the letters told the station it described killing whole families, murdering children and burning down the homes of the recipients.

After the report in March and efforts by the police to find the person leaving them, the letters stopped for six months.

[Detective Nathan] Shumaker and Andre Futch, another detective who worked the case, went door to door to check doorbell cameras and gather any clues they could. The detectives also walked the neighborhood several times and handed out flyers to Brookmont residents.

“By mid-March, we really didn’t have anything to go on,” Shumaker said.

Had the suspect simply stopped at that point, police might never have caught anyone. But then another letter was delivered on Sep. 6. That led to a clue which was enough for the detectives to get a search warrant for the home of 30-year-old Terresha Lucas. It turned out the person behind the racist notes directed at black families was a black woman.

Terresha Lucas, 30, was arrested Wednesday and charged with eight counts of terroristic threats and acts. She made her first court appearance Thursday morning and was denied bond, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News.

#2  KKK/UKA as we know it actually cease to exist in 1987-87.

Lawyers Morris Dees of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC)and Beulah Mae Donald, the mother of Michael Donald, sued the KKK/UKA (aka United Klan's of America) and won.

The Alabama all-White jury found the KKK/UKA responsible and ordered them to pay $7 million.

However, the KKK/UKA did not have sufficient assets and funds to pay the fine. So, The KKK/UKA sold off their assets and were still short $Millions for the Lawsuit Settlement.

NOW A LEGAL QUESTION TO PONDER
Since the KKK/UKA came up short on the total Lawsuit settlement amount.

Does that mean the Southern Poverty Law Center and the estate (or descendants) of Beulah Mae Donald technically the last owners, or still owners, of the KKK/UKA ....

So is the KKK/UKA now/was Black-American owned ?

[Breitbart] A Colorado woman in dire need of a new kidney has been denied a transplant at UCHealth because she and her donor have not received a coronavirus vaccination.

Leilani Lutali is suffering from stage five renal failure and met a willing donor in Jamiee Fougner at a bible study ten months ago, CBS 4 reports. Though the women wish to go through with the operation, they have run into issues regarding UCHealth’s coronavirus vaccination policy.

China-Japan-Koreas
China Manipulating Google, Bing Search Results To Advance Covid-19 Conspiracy Theories
[ZeroHedge] China has been taking advantage of a 'data void' in order to flood social media platforms with Chinese-backed conspiracy theories regarding the origins of Covid-19, which in turn affects algorithmic results from popular search engines such as Google and Bing, according to the Washington Post, citing a Tuesday report by the Alliance for Securing Democracy (ASD).
"data void" created by American news and social media companies suppressing Covid's Chinese origins.
The Chinese posts have almost exclusively focused on a theory that Covid-19 was created in a lab at Fort Detrick, home to the US Army's Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) - which will ring a bell for anyone who read The Hot Zone, and was then purposefully spread throughout Wuhan, China during the October 2019 Military World Games.

By saturating social media platforms with this theory, it now crops up when people search for other things via popular search engines.

What’s particularly noteworthy about the campaign, researchers said, is that the officials have tapped into a highly effective means for spreading misinformation and disinformation: filling the Internet with misleading content on issues where there’s a dearth of reliable information. The result is that when users search for these more obscure topics — when they type "Fort Detrick" into Google or Bing — they are more likely to see Chinese-backed conspiracy theories.

...

According to the report, news search results for Fort Detrick across Google, YouTube and Bing were "dominated" by state-run Chinese media such as CGTN and the Global Times at various times since May. Researchers called the outlets "central to Beijing’s information operations." -WaPo

"It gives an advantage to those who are trying to promote this conspiracy because they continue to publish on it over and over and over and over, so that when someone who's not familiar with the term just Googles it ... you tend to get the conspiracy theorist’s point of view," said Bret Schafer, a media and digital disinformation fellow at ASD who co-authored the report.

Key witness in FBI case against Assange held in custody to stop his ‘crime spree' in Iceland
[RT] A man whose testimony the FBI uses to justify extraditing Julian Assange from Britain has reportedly been arrested in Iceland after police requested his detention to halt his ongoing crime spree, local media reports.

Sigurdur Thordarson, also known under the moniker ’Siggi the Hacker’, was placed into custody in Iceland last month, the newspaper Stundin said, citing his lawyer. A judge agreed with the police that if Thordarson remained free, he would continue an ongoing spree of crimes in the European nation. He is now kept in the highest-security prison in the country, Litla-Hraun, the report said.

There is a provision in Icelandic law that allows indefinite detention of a convicted felon if there is a reasonable suspicion that the individual has been reoffending and will continue to do so unless arrested. It has a high legal bar and is rarely used in practice, but was applied in Thordarson’s case, Stundin reported. It mentioned earlier confessions of dubious financial machinations made by Thordarson during an interview he gave the newspaper.

Thordarson is a dubious character, whose prior convictions were related to financial fraud and his soliciting of sexual favors from minor boys. Yet his credibility — or lack thereof — is essential for the ongoing US bid to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange from Britain.

Cherman car park unveils 'diversity' spaces reserved for LGBT drivers or migrants
[MAIL] A car park located in Hanau, Germany, has unveiled dedicated parking spaces reserved for LGBTQ and migrant drivers.
Mixing LGBTQIIA...and Muslims. Awesome. Then they can get together on the roof for gravity parties
Hanauer Parkhaus GmbH (HPG) built three 'diversity' parking spaces in an underground car park in Hanau city centre, which will cater only to LGBTQ individuals and migrants.

Thomas Morlock, the chairman of the supervisory board of HPG and a city councillor, said at the inauguration of the parking spaces that the aim was to help people who feel 'a special need for protection'.

It is not immediately clear how the authorities intend to monitor whether people who park in the spaces are in fact part of the LGBTQ community or migrants, though HPG said a camera would monitor the car park.

Good news: Mild COVID-19 induces lasting antibody protection
[Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis] Months after recovering from mild cases of COVID-19, people still have immune cells in their body pumping out antibodies against the virus that causes COVID-19, according to a study from researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Such cells could persist for a lifetime, churning out antibodies all the while.

The new warrant: how US police mine Google for your location and search history
[Guardian] It was a routine bike ride around the neighborhood that landed Zachary McCoy in the crosshairs of the Gainesville, Florida, police department.

In January 2020, an alarming email from Google landed in McCoy’s inbox. Police were requesting his user data, the company told him, and McCoy had seven days to go to court and block its release.

McCoy later found out the request was part of an investigation into the burglary of a nearby home the year before. The evidence that cast him as a suspect was his location during his bike ride — information the police obtained from Google through what is called a geofence warrant. For simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time, McCoy was being investigated and, as a result, his Google data was at risk of being handed over to the police.

Geofence location warrants and reverse search warrants such as the ones McCoy dealt with are increasingly becoming the tool of choice for law enforcement. Google revealed for the first time in August that it received 11,554 geofence location warrants from law enforcement agencies in 2020, up from 8,396 in 2019 and 982 in 2018.

It’s a concerning trend, argue experts and advocates. They worry the increase signals the start of a new era, one in which law enforcement agencies find ever more creative ways to obtain user information from data-rich tech companies. And they fear agencies and jurisdictions will use this relatively unchecked mechanism in the context of new and controversial laws such as the criminalization of nearly all abortions in Texas.

"As long as the data exists, all it takes is a creative law enforcement officer to say, ’Hey, we can get a warrant or we can send a subpoena for this particular subset of the data that’s already being harvested’," said Caleb Kenyon, the defense attorney who represented McCoy, to the Guardian. "They’re coming up with everything they can to do their job. That’s all it takes for the next type of [reverse] search warrant to come about."

DRAGNET SEARCH WARRANT
Lawyers such as Kenyon and privacy experts argue geofence and other broad warrants such as those that ask companies to sift through keywords people searched for are akin to a general warrant, made illegal by the fourth amendment right against unreasonable searches and seizures. Unlike other kinds of search warrants, which are targeted and seek information about people who law enforcement has probable cause to believe has committed a specific crime, these warrants don’t have a particular person in mind.

In other words, with reverse search warrants law enforcement is still looking for their suspect and they’re asking tech companies to give them a list of people to investigate. For geofence warrants, anyone in a certain place at a certain time becomes a suspect and is subject to further investigation which could mean giving police even more of their user data. For keyword search warrants, another relatively new mechanism to obtain user information that has emerged, anyone who searched for a certain phrase or address becomes a suspect.

New rifle computer systems extend AI revolution to infantry soldiers
(October 6, 2021 / JNS) The Israeli defense company Elbit unveiled a new artificial-intelligence-powered system last month to transform assault rifles into digital combat machines that are far more lethal and effective.

The system, called Assault Rifle Combat Application System (ACRAS), is "a step-change in the lethality, mission effectiveness and survivability of dismounted soldiers in both day and night," said the company.

It provides infantry and special operation forces with combat capabilities not available to them before, such as measuring ranges to targets without a laser, automatic ballistic correction, detection of enemy fire sources, video motion detection and even the ability to shoot around the corner and from the hip.

The system presents data through the rifle’s sight or an optional digital eyepiece display.

Government Corruption
The CIA Blames Incompetence for Losing Dozens of Agents but Is That the Real Story?
[Red State] Yesterday, the New York Times ran a story that was frightening in a couple of aspects. First, it reported that the C.I.A. had sent a top-secret cable to all stations warning them that "troubling" numbers of agents and informants were being rounded up by our opponents and either executed or flipped into double agents.
The message, in an unusual top secret cable, said that the C.I.A.’s counterintelligence mission center had looked at dozens of cases in the last several years involving foreign informants who had been killed, arrested or most likely compromised. Although brief, the cable laid out the specific number of agents executed by rival intelligence agencies — a closely held detail that counterintelligence officials typically do not share in such cables.

The cable highlighted the struggle the spy agency is having as it works to recruit spies around the world in difficult operating environments. In recent years, adversarial intelligence services in countries such as Russia, China, Iran and Pakistan have been hunting down the C.I.A.’s sources and in some cases turning them into double agents.

Acknowledging that recruiting spies is a high-risk business, the cable raised issues that have plagued the agency in recent years, including poor tradecraft; being too trusting of sources; underestimating foreign intelligence agencies, and moving too quickly to recruit informants while not paying enough attention to potential counterintelligence risks — a problem the cable called placing "mission over security."

The large number of compromised informants in recent years also demonstrated the growing prowess of other countries in employing innovations like biometric scans, facial recognition, artificial intelligence and hacking tools to track the movements of C.I.A. officers in order to discover their sources.

While the C.I.A. has many ways to collect intelligence for its analysts to craft into briefings for policymakers, networks of trusted human informants around the world remain the centerpiece of its efforts, the kind of intelligence that the agency is supposed to be the best in the world at collecting and analyzing.
Ominously for a story focusing on sloppy handling of secret information, the existence of the cable and its contents only stayed hidden for a few days.

It has been widely reported that the C.I.A.’s covert networks in Communist China have been largely rolled up. Back in May 2017, the C.I.A. admitted that it had lost at least 18 agents inside of China. The operative word there is "admitted," as the known body count quickly ballooned to at least three dozen. There was a brief spasm of counterintelligence work on our side (see Former C.I.A. Agent Busted for Passing Secrets to China and Arrested C.I.A. Officer Possessed Names of Covert Agents and Sit Down for This One — Former C.I.A. Officer Arrested as Chinese Spy: You’ll Never Guess Who Hired Him) and then things went back to normal, see While Eric Swalwell Was Sleeping With a Chinese Spy Adam Schiff Put Him in Charge of C.I.A. Oversight.

At the same time that Chinese assets were roaming free inside the C.I.A., the C.I.A. ignored the compromise of a communications system that it wished rather than knew or even believed to be secure and that cost at least 30 agents their lives. Yesterday, my colleague Jennifer Van Laar posted on the curious correlation between the loss of most of our covert operatives inside China and Hunter Biden’s bromance with Taiwanese businessman and suspected ChiCom agent Michael Lin. Biden and Lin became business associates, and Lin flew with Biden of Air Force 2. Read Are Hunter Biden’s China Travels With Michael Lin Related to the Loss of 30 C.I.A. Assets? for more details.

#4  AP - CIA creates working group on China as threats keep rising

WASHINGTON (AP) — The CIA said Thursday it will create a top-level working group on China as part of a broad U.S. government effort focused on countering Beijing’s influence.

The group will become one of fewer than a dozen mission centers operated by the CIA, with weekly director-level meetings intended to drive the agency’s strategy toward China. The CIA also announced that it would ramp up efforts to recruit Chinese speakers and create another mission center focusing on emerging technologies and global issues such as climate change and global health.

Seems reasonable to conclude that the Chinese accessed Crackhead's communications and various laptops at least a decade ago -- probably when his corrupt dad became VP if not earlier, and certainly by the 2000's.

Pfizer Whistleblower: Officials Tried to Cover-up Fact That Fetal Stem Cells Were Used to Develop Vaccine
[American Greatness] Leaked Pfizer internal emails exposed by Project Veritas Wednesday night revealed that the drug company used fetal stem cells to develop its COVID-19 vaccine, and tried to hide that fact from the public, particularly Catholics who are bound by their faith to avoid products that violate church teaching on abortion.

Pfizer insider, Melissa Strickler discussed with Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe how corporate executives instructed staff to be secretive about the use of human fetal tissue in laboratory testing of the COVID vaccine.

The whistleblower works as a "quality auditor" for Pfizer, according to Project Veritas.

Pfizer’s Chief Scientific Officer, Philip Dormitzer, admitted in one email that aborted fetus tissue was used in the company’s vaccine program, but he told employees to stick with Pfizer’s PR talking points that failed to disclose the truth.

"HEK293T cells, used for the IVE assay, are ultimately derived from an aborted fetus," Dormitzer wrote. "On the other hand, the Vatican doctrinal committee has confirmed that they consider it acceptable for Pro-Life believers to be immunized. Pfizer’s official statement couches the answer well and is what should be provided in response to an outside inquiry."

Vanessa Gelman, who serves as Pfizer’s Senior Director of Worldwide Research, urged staff to avoid talking about the human fetal cells in the company’s vaccine program.

"From the perspective of corporate affairs, we want to avoid having the information on fetal cells floating out there," Gelman said.

"The risk of communicating this right now outweighs any potential benefit we could see, particularly with general members of the public who may take this information and use it in ways we may not want out there. We have not received any questions from policy makers or media on this issue in the last few weeks, so we want to avoid raising this if possible," she said.

Facebook whistleblower accuses tech titan of ignoring foreign espionage operations
[Washington Examiner] Chinese spies are using Facebook to find Uyghur Muslims around the world, according to a whistleblower who argues the tech titan’s neglect of such behavior is a national security risk to the United States.

"My team directly worked on tracking Chinese participation on the platform surveilling, say, Uyghur populations in places around the world," Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen told a Senate Commerce subcommittee this week. "You could actually find the Chinese based on them doing these kinds of things."

Those remarks sent a jolt through lawmakers, who came prepared for a discussion about "protecting kids online," as the hearing title promised.

Sen. Dan Sullivan, an Alaska Republican who also sits on the Armed Services Committee, presented Haugen with an open-ended question about authoritarian exploitation of Facebook. She underscored that multiple foreign intelligence services have used the company to their advantage.

"We also saw active participation of, say, the Iran government doing espionage on other state actors," Haugen said. "So, this is definitely a thing that is happening, and I believe Facebook’s consistent understaffing of the counterespionage, information operations, and counterterrorism teams is a national security issue."

#3  Liar. The risk is an order of magnitude higher for boys and young men.

Here's an honest summation of the key finding:

Researchers find a higher than expected risk of myocarditis in young men after full vaccination

"Males between 16 and 29 years of age have an increased risk of developing heart problems after receiving a second dose of coronavirus vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNtech or Moderna, according to a large new analysis published on Wednesday in the New England Journal of Medicine.

"The study, conducted in Israel, estimated that nearly 11 of every 100,000 males in that age group developed myocarditis, inflammation of the heart, a few days after having been fully vaccinated. That figure is higher than most earlier estimates.

"Boys between 16 and 19 years of age had the highest incidence of myocarditis after the second dose, according to a second study in the journal. The risk of heart problems in boys of that age was about nine times higher than in unvaccinated boys of the same age."

#4  From the article:

he incidence of myocarditis is 2.13 cases per 100,000 vaccinated, with 98% of them having a mild to moderate disease without any impairment of heart function.
One person suffered from a serious illness that required hospitalization, after which he recovered. The rare side effect occurred more after the second vaccine dose, 69% more than after the first, in men more than in women, and more between the ages of 16 and 29.

So you can both be telling the truth, Diogenes, though it pains me to credit the New York Times in any way ever.
Posted by: trailing wife || 10/07/2021 13:02 Comments || Top||

#5  Um... no. The questions are clear and straightforward:

Does the vaccine pose a significant risk to the health of our young men?

Is that risk significantly greater than the risk to unvaccinated young men of being hospitalized with COVID?

The answers are YES and YES.

The risk of vaccine-induced myocarditis to a young man is on the order of 1:10,099.
Per CDC data the risk to unvaccinated young men of being hospitalized with COVID is on the order of 1:50,000.

Whatever one's views on this issue -- I'm not anti-vaccine, myself -- the hard empirical truth is that the Pfizer vax poses a significant risk to the health of our young men that is at least as great as COVID risk. That is undeniable fact.

We will all get along better when and if the extremists stop distorting the data to confirm their pre-existing biases and/or serve their agendas.

#7  Since there's a lot of discussion of the costs of COVID, I guess it's worth asking - If a young person at very low risk for COVID winds up needing treatment for myocarditis from age 15 til an early death, won't that maybe cost more than a mild case of COVID?

#9  Btw, lest we let the NYT off the hook, this characterization is misleading:

"The study ...estimated that nearly 11 of every 100,000 males in that age group developed myocarditis, inflammation of the heart, a few days after having been fully vaccinated. That figure is higher than most earlier estimates."

The official estimate from the CDC itself was about 1:10,000. That was released over the summer and made available on the CDC's own website and disclosed also in the public hearings held over the summer. Many intelligent and data-literate parents of young men saw and remembered this figure, compared it to the historical COVID figures and concluded, reasonably, that the vaccine posed a greater threat to their sons' health than COVID does.

Again, I don't necessarily agree with their choice, but these people's refusal to vaccinate their sons is in this case, based on this empirical data, an entirely RATIONAL and UNDERSTANDABLE decision. Let's stop demonizing them.

KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR: Why LeBron Is Wrong About "Honoring" Vaccination Hesitancy
h/t HotAir
I’m a huge fan of LeBron James, both as one of the greatest basketball players ever and as a humanitarian who cares about social injustice. I have written his praises many times in the past and undoubtedly will in the future. I admire him and have affection for him. But this time LeBron is just plain wrong—and his being wrong could be deadly, especially to the Black community.

After Golden State Warrior Andrew Wiggins received criticism for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine for personal reasons, his teammate Draymond Green said the public needs to "honor" that decision: "There is something to be said for people’s concerns about something that’s being pressed so hard," he stated. "Why are you pressing this so hard? You have to honor people’s feelings and their own personal beliefs." To which LeBron responded that he "couldn’t have said it better myself." Actually, it couldn’t have been said worse.

On the surface, it appears that Draymond and LeBron are arguing for the American ideal of individual freedom of choice. But they offer no arguments in support of it, nor do they define the limits of when one person’s choice is harmful to the community. They are merely shouting, "I’m for freedom." We’re all for freedom, but not at the expense of others nor if it damages the country. That’s why we mandate seatbelts, motorcycle helmets, car insurance, education for our children. For example, seatbelt compliance is at 88% in the U.S., but that 12% that doesn’t comply results in 47% of car accident fatalities (17,000) and costs U.S. employers $5 billion a year, and those costs are passed on to us. They made the choice, but we survivors are left to deal with the grief and the price tag.

The only support for Draymond’s statement is his belief that when people "press hard" there’s something inherently wrong with their opinion. There is no logic to that statement. If I press hard against institutional racism, if I press hard against police brutality, if I press hard against recent laws making it harder for minorities to vote, if I press hard against child porn, if I press hard in support of MeToo am I automatically wrong? On the contrary, the passion of those urging vaccines might suggest there’s some urgency to their opinion. That the situation is serious and we need to take immediate action to protect people. That thousands are dying every day, mostly among the unvaccinated. That the Black community, where vaccine hesitancy is high, are dying at a disproportionately higher rate than whites . That publicly talking about honoring opinions that contribute to their deaths is irresponsible.
But it's good self-promotion at low risk - after all, a millionaire professional athlete is unlikely to die of Covid even if not super healthy - the quality of treatment/availability of mAb etc... make a lot of difference

Very interesting. Please, tell me your opinion on overtaxing, a shortage of workers, and the devaluation of the dollar due to Covid protocols as it affects the price of products. To be clear, products still available.

The story here, if you are normal and don't give a tune for the NBA, is that a few weeks ago the official policy was that for the players, the shot was optional. Then some big names like Wiggins said publicly that he already had the covid so he didn't need the shot, and, in short, for his situation, it was an unnecessary medical procedure.

Well, that is triple plus wrong think as we can't have non-binary decisions, make medical decisions based on your current condition, or bring light to the Black community's overall opinion on the matter.

So now you have the NBA losing its shit and calling in favors, and working to make the shot mandatory for players on threat of penalties and bench time.

It is interesting. Month ago it was shut up and play ball and we'll let it slide. Now that someone spoke out of line, NBA brings out the heavy fist.

The ship's name alone did that. Izumo is an old and honored name in Japanese naval history - the first Izumo was the first truly modern warship in the old IJN, and as such holds a place like our Monitor or the RN's Warrior. Giving her that name, the Japanese were quietly letting everybody know that they were back at sea, and in the big leagues again. Tough lil' boat she was, too - was still in service in WWII as a training ship and almost made it, finally sunk by the USN at Kure in the summer of '45.

Of course, even better is the name they gave to Izumo's sister ship.

Kaga.

India-Pakistan
A change of guard in the ISI and what it would mean
[OneIndia] Pakistain's ISI chief, Lt. General Faiz Hameed is likely to be replaced by Lt. General Nadeem Anjum. An official notification is likely to issued after October 10.

The move comes at a time when Pakistain is busy with the Afghanistan. It was Lt. Gen Hameed who had played a crucial role in the formation of an interim government in Afghanistan led by the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
. He was also at the forefront of the negotiations when there was a falling out between some members of the Taliban and Haqqani Network.

Lt. General Hameed is likely to be appointed as the Corp Commander of the GOC XI Corps of the Pakistain Army. Established in 1975, this decision is deployed in the Khyber-Pakthunkwa province.

While this post would put Lt. Gen. Hameed in a good position to succeed Pakistain Army chief General Qamar Bajwa, there are speculations that he may want to stay on as the ISI chief until November 29 2022, the date on which General Bajwa retires. The current army chief of Pakistain was given an extension of three years in January 2020.

While Hameed expects an elevation to the post of Army chief, in terms of seniority, Lt Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Lt Gen Azhar Abbas and Nauman Mahmood are ahead of him.

However for Lt. General Hameed to be elevated as COAS the precedent is that he must serve as a corps commander first. Lt. General Mahmood has been commanding the XI Corps that is stationed in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistain's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire...
since December 2019. Any decision relating to Hameed would be taken post October 10 as three three-star generals would be retiring in the next one week. They include Lt. Gen. Majid Ehsan, Inspector General Arms (IG Arms), GHQ Rawalpindi; Lt. Gen. Aamir Abbasi, Quarter Master General, GHQ Rawalpindi; and Lt. Gen. Drone spotted in Pathankot: Alert sounded
[OneIndia] A search operation has been launched after a drone was spotted near the Jaitpur post in the Bamiyal sector in Pathankot, Punjab.

The Border Security Force jawans shot up the drone. Four to five rounds were fired before the drone disappeared. A high alert was sounded following the incident and search operations are underway.

It may be recalled that a drone was spotted in Pathankot in July. A month before that a drone attack took place on the Indian Air Force base in Jammu.

Drones have become the latest menace for the security agencies. Several drones have been spotted and investigations have shown that Pakistain based operatives have been using drones to send in arms and ammunition into India. A major incident of drones being sent to drop off arms and ammunition had been reported in Punjab

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
3rd tanker of Hezbollah-run Iranian oil reaches Syria en route to Lebanon
[IsraelTimes] In violation of sanctions on Tehran, fuel to be taken overland into Leb
...The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady days of human sacrifice to Baal Moloch...
, which is in an ongoing economic crisis.

A third tanker containing a shipment of Iranian oil destined for Lebanon docked in Syria’s Baniyas port on Wednesday, an online oil shipment tracking service said.

The service said the Fortune tanker, registered in Iran, had arrived at the northern Syrian port — the same docking point for previous shipments.

Dozens of trucks carrying Iranian diesel have arrived in Lebanon in recent weeks — deliveries organized by the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group.

The overland delivery through neighboring Syria violates US sanctions imposed on Tehran after then-president Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
pulled America out of a nuclear deal between Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. and world powers in 2018.

The shipments are being portrayed as a victory by Hezbollah, which stepped in to supply the fuel from its Iranian patron while the cash-strapped Lebanese government grapples with months-long fuel shortages that have paralyzed the country.

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati has said the shipments violate Lebanon’s illusory sovereignty and are not approved by his government.

Israel has said it will not interfere with the shipments.

Lebanon’s ongoing economic crisis is rooted in decades of corruption and mismanagement by the ruling class and a sectarian-based political system that thrives on patronage and nepotism.

Severe shortages in fuel have resulted in crippling power cuts and hours-long waits at gas stations.

Hezbollah’s leader, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...
, announced in August that Iran was sending the fuel to Lebanon to help ease the crisis. The first Hezbollah-commissioned Iranian oil tanker arrived in the Syrian port of Baniyas in September and the diesel was unloaded to Syrian storage places before it was brought overland to Lebanon by tanker trucks, where it was welcomed with celebratory gunfire.

Hezbollah, often accused of operating a state-within-a-state, has been taking part in Syria’s civil war alongside government forces. It manages its own crossing points along the Lebanon-Syria border, away from formal border crossings.

Nasrallah said that the tanker did not offload its cargo directly in Lebanon to avoid embarrassing authorities and risking sanctions on Lebanon.

While the oil delivery was seen as a victory for Hezbollah, the group is facing growing internal criticism for increasingly pulling Lebanon into Iran’s orbit and for defending its political allies who resist change rather than push for reform.

Palestinian charged with attempted murder over terror stabbing in Jaffa
[IsraelTimes] Prosecutors say 30-year-old Mohammed Haroub shouted ’Jew, Jew’ as he tried to kill victim, who was not Jewish.

Prosecutors on Wednesday filed an indictment against a Paleostinian man for the alleged terror stabbing in Tel Aviv on the eve of Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, during which a man was seriously hurt.

Mohammed Haroub, 30, was charged with "a terrorist act of attempted murder, a terrorist act of aggravated assault," and illegally entering Israel from the West Bank.

Prosecutors said Haroub stabbed the victim with a screwdriver, assuming he was Jewish.

"The defendant, who believed that the plaintiff was a person of Jewish descent, approached him without being noticed, shouting at him in Arabic ’Jew, Jew,’ hit him over the head with a bottle of water next to him, and stabbed him with the screwdriver in his upper body, with the intention of causing his death," a statement from the Justice Ministry said.

The victim, a 49-year-old man from East Jerusalem, shouted back at the assailant in Arabic during the attack that he was not Jewish, but Haroub ignored his calls, the indictment read.
"That's just what a Jooo would say!"
Haroub only expeditiously departed at a goodly pace after he thought the injuries he had caused the victim would lead to his death, prosecutors charged. Police arrested him nearby shortly after the stabbing.

The court extended Haroub’s remand until the end of the legal proceedings.

Israel and the West Bank saw a spate of stabbing attacks in September, apparently in solidarity with six Paleostinian security prisoners who beat feet from Gilboa Prison and were all later rearrested.

Iran suspected behind cyberattack on Mideast aerospace, telecom firms
[IsraelTimes] Cybereason firm says MalKamak group used Dropbox to issue commands to its Trojan; findings show similarities to previous known Iran-backed hacks.

Security researchers on Wednesday published a report tying cyberattacks on a number of aerospace and telecommunications companies, mainly in the Middle East, to Iranian state-sponsored groups.

MalKamak, a cyberespionage group believed to be tied to other known Iranian government-sponsored groups such as Chafer APT (also known as APT39 or Remix Kitten), was responsible for the recent hack attack, US-Israeli cybersecurity firm Cybereason reported.

The company did not name specific victims, but said they mainly included a "select few" companies in the Middle East, with others in the US, Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and Russia. Though Israel was not mentioned, Israel’s Channel 12 news reported that Israeli companies were among the list of targets in the Middle East, without providing a source or details.

According to Cybereason, the end goal of the hack was the theft of information about their infrastructure, technology, and critical assets.

The Iranian group used a remote access Trojan called ShellClient, which had been in use since at least 2018, to obtain information from the companies. Cybereason said the threat was still active as of September.

The Trojan itself is controlled via the Dropbox file-sharing platform, which apparently made it difficult to detect.

Commands are sent to the Trojan, which is disguised as a legitimate Microsoft program, to first set it up and identify system information and what antivirus software is installed.

Then, still using Dropbox, the hackers send another set of commands to change the Trojan into a persistent program on the victim’s computer, with administrator privileges.

Cybereason said its team compared its observations with previous campaigns that were attributed to known Iranian actors, "and was able to point out some interesting similarities between ShellClient and previously reported Iranian malware and threat actors."

Numerous suspected Iranian cyberattacks on Israel were reported in recent years, including one that targeted its water infrastructure in 2020.

Attack robots were used during Zapad-2021 exercise first time
[TASS] Drills to practice new methods of conducting combat operations were central to the Russian-Belarusian strategic exercise Zapad-2021, in which some new weapon systems, such as attack robots, were used for the first time, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Wednesday.

"Central to the exercise were new forms and methods of conducting combat operations with due regard for the special features of current local wars and armed conflicts. Many things were tested in practice," Shoigu said while reviewing the results of the exercise.

In part, he said that for the first time an airborne battalion of the newest BMD-4M combat vehicles was parachuted at night in bad weather.

"Twenty one Ilyushin-76MD military transport planes parachuted 30 combat vehicles of a new generation," Shoigu said.

"It allowed for creating a 3D image of virtual combat space, thus making it possible to more accurately study the situation and drastically reduce the time commanders need to make decision," Shoigu said.

For effective fire adjustment and also for meeting the needs of reconnaissance groups unmanned aerial vehicles were used on a wide scale.

"A system of putting out of order a swarm of a hypothetical enemy's attack drones at a distance was employed successfully," Shoigu said.

At proving grounds near Kaliningrad attack robotized systems Platforma-M were used for the first time.

"Remote-controlled tracked robots performed quite well in coping with the task of destroying enemy manpower in urban conditions. At the Mulino proving ground (the Nizhni Novgorod Region - TASS) reconnaissance and fire support robots Uran-9 and Nerekhta were used in the combat formations of combined arms units," Shoigu said.

"Military command and control bodies practiced operation in the field at five proving grounds in Belarus and nine proving grounds in Russia. The Baltic Fleet's forces were dealing with their combat training tasks in the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Finland," he added.

Herzog, German president discuss Israelis held by Hamas amid ceasefire talks

[IsraelTimes] President Isaac Herzog meets with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Ukraine ahead of the memorial ceremony this evening marking 80 years since the Babi Yar massacre, when tens of thousands of people, mostly Jews, were murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators.

Both are due to speak at the ceremony and a statement from Herzog’s office says the two noted the "powerful symbolism" of them meeting today.

Herzog and Steinmeier also "talked at length about the matter of the State of Israel’s captured and missing [citizens] in the Gazoo

Strip and other places," according to the statement.

Germany has previously been linked to efforts to broker a prisoner swap between Israel and the Gaza-ruling Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, terror group, which is holding a pair of Israeli citizens who entered the Strip and the bodies of two soldiers killed in the 2014 war. The statement says Herzog acknowledged this while meeting with Steinmeier.

Israel and Hamas have been holding indirect talks to firm up a shaky ceasefire since 11 days of fighting between the sides in May. Israel has vowed not to allow a full reconstruction of Gaza without a prisoner swap.

Germany raids Islamic money-laundering network accused of sending cash to Syria

German police carried out large-scale raids in 25 cities Wednesday in connection with a suspected money-laundering network alleged to have funneled millions in ill-gotten gains abroad.

Duesseldorf police said the raids, which began in the early hours, involved more than 1,000 officers and took place in the states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony and Bremen.

Eleven people were arrested, including a 39-year-old Syrian man who is accused of membership in Syria’s Nusra Front holy warrior group, police said.

The raids are part of an investigation into a so-called hawala network widely used in Moslem countries, in which individuals rather than banks act as brokers for money transfers.

Duesseldorf police said the money laundered since 2016 came from a broad range of sources, including criminal activity such as armed robbery and extortion.

"According to initial estimates the volume of transactions in the period under investigation was about 140 million euros ($162 million)," police said in a statement.

German public broadcaster WDR reported that the laundered money included funds from drug trafficking and at least some of it was sent to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
and Syria, where it may have been used to fund bully boy groups.

Police said the suspects are also accused of illegally obtaining benefits. Officers seized valuables such as luxury cars, gold, jewels and high-end watches worth more than 2 million euros.

(NCRI) says that the drones are being manufactured at eight plants in Iran, sometimes using materials smuggled from abroad, and then sent to countries like Iraq and Syria where they are assembled and then deployed.

The NCRI, the political wing of the People’s Mujahedin (MEK), which is banned in Iran, says it based its findings on reports from the network of supporters the MEK claims to maintain inside the country.

It supplies images that it claims are of drone production plants but it isn’t immediately possible to independently verify the claims.

The Quds Force, which was led by commander Qassem Soleimani

and seeking to strike Western targets.

The NCRI says the Quds Force is "chiefly using various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for its terrorist operations as well as for supplying its proxies in the region."

"To an extent, the regime is trying to compensate for its outdated and decrepit air force with this technology," it adds.

It says that to produce the drones Iran has been smuggling some of the main parts, such as engines and electronic components from China as well as raw materials from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
and South Korea.

It says there is now a specialized UAV Command among the five command units of the IRGC Aerospace Force. The UAV Command has several groups that are stationed at various bases across Iran.

MoI Rejects Amnesty Intl Report Over Daikundi Killings
The Talib government responds to this story from yesterday that did not appear in either Khaama Press or Tolo News.
[ToloNews] Amnesia Amnesty International on Tuesday reported that their investigation findings show that Islamic Emirate forces unlawfully killed 13 people in Daikundi province on August 30.

According to Amnesia Amnesty International, 11 of the victims were former members of security and defense forces and two of them, including a woman, were civilians.

Agnès Callamard, director of Amnesia Amnesty International Afghanistan, called on the Islamic Emirate to stop such killings. "The Taliban
...Arabic for students...
must immediately cease these cruel acts of Dire Revenge and ensure employees of the former government and their families can live safely in Afghanistan. The new government must make clear that such grave violations will not be tolerated, and that those responsible will be prosecuted," Callamard said.

Reacting to the report, Interior Ministry front man Saeed Khosti said the report is not factual nor impartial and the view of the Islamic Emirate is not included.

"This report is incorrect because the view of the Islamic Emirate is not included. It was investigated unilaterally. There should have been documented evidence, and there is not," Khosti said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shouting match, the spittle had reached unprecedented levels...
a number of Daikundi residents who fled to Kabul said justice should be served, and that many people have been displaced due to insecurity in the province.

"When the Islamic Emirate forces arrived in Daikundi, I was not at home, but my wife and children were. They forced them out of the house and set on fire to our house," said Ghulam Hazrat, a resident of Daikundi.

"Due to the bad security situation, 300 families were forced to leave their homes only in our district. They (Islamic Emirate forces) were killing everyone and taking them away," said Ali Ahmad, a resident of Daikundi.

The Amnesia Amnesty International report comes as a number of Daikundi residents claimed they were forced by people calling themselves members of the Islamic Emirate to leave their houses.

In budget turning point, Biden conceding smaller price tag
[APNEWS] President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
and congressional Democrats’ push for a 10-year, $3.5 trillion package of social and environmental initiatives has reached a turning point, with the president repeatedly conceding that the measure will be considerably smaller and pivotal politicians flashing potential signs of flexibility.

In virtual meetings Monday and Tuesday with small groups of House Democrats, Biden said he reluctantly expected the legislation’s final version to weigh in between $1.9 trillion and $2.3 trillion, a Democrat familiar with the sessions said Tuesday. He told them he didn’t think he could do better than that, the person said, reflecting demands from some of the party’s more conservative politicians.

Biden used those same figures during a Friday meeting in the Capitol with nearly all House Democrats, according to that person and a second Democrat familiar with the gathering. Both Democrats would describe the meetings only on condition of anonymity.

FBI Raids Headquarters of NYPD Union That Publicly Opposed Biden
[Western Journal] FBI agents on Tuesday raided the New York headquarters for the Sergeants Benevolent Association, a union for active and retired New York City Police Department members that strongly supported then-President Donald Trump in the 2020 election.

The 13,000-member union is New York’s second-largest police union, CNN reported. While it is unclear exactly what investigators were looking for, the outlet reported a search warrant was executed early Tuesday.

The outlet also reported a home on Long Island in the community of Port Washington was also visited by agents as part of an investigation. The home reportedly belongs to SBA President Ed Mullins.

There is no word yet regarding what that investigation might be related to.

Carlson expands on Dem's 'replacement theory,' calls it 'electorate packing' with Jennifer Rubin providing receipts
[BIZPACREVIEW] Fox News’ Tucker Carlson offered up more evidence on Tuesday to support the argument that "Replacement Theory" is a real strategy of the Democratic party. On the network’s "Tucker Carlson Tonight" he began the segment by saying, "We made the point a lot on this show because it’s true that the entire purpose of the Democratic Party’s immigration policy is to change the population of the United States in a way that guarantees they win every election going forward."

"This is effectively electorate packing. It’s an assault on democracy. It devalues your vote," he asserted.

He described the peculiar but now all-too-common tactic of the Left in which they denounce anyone who calls attention to their actions — in this case, anyone who suggests that replacement theory is real — call them the usual, often profanity-laced names, then after a few days they say the quiet part out loud because they just aren’t that good at hiding the ball.

Biden Admin Paying Contractors Millions A Day To Not Build Border Wall
[DAILYWIRE] Rodney Scott, the former chief of the United States Border Patrol, said during a Fox News interview on Tuesday evening that the Biden administration, the guys that caused the debacle in Afghanistan
...the collection of boodlers, grifters, hangers-on, and self-proclaimed experts affiliated with the Biden Crime Family. Entrusted with an entire nation as the result of a suspicious election, they set about happily implementing stuff they absorbed in college, all of which blew up and splattered the rest of us...
has been paying contractors millions of dollars a day to not build the border wall along with U.S.-Mexico border, even as the administration faces an illegal immigration crisis.

When asked by Fox News anchor Bret Baier about what actions the Biden administration took on the border wall after they took over in January, Scott responded that they issued a presidential proclamation that put in place 60 day pause on the construction.

"We’re supposed to do an in depth study and then come up with a plan going forward," Scott said. "As Border Patrol did its part, everything, that was done within about two weeks, several briefings later, there really had not been any decisions made, it went well beyond the 60 days. Many of those projects today are just still on hold. So we’re paying contractors, for a while it was almost $5 million a day between DOD and DHS."

"Wait, $5 million a day to not build the wall?" Baier asked.

"To not build a wall," Scott answered.

"There are stacks and stacks of border wall panels, there’s hundreds of miles of fiber optic cabling, there’s hundreds of cameras that were being installed with that, that are just sitting, there’s no action being taken," Scott continued.

"So what do they say when the briefing is well, this really helps us, if we could just plug this in, if we could just finish this thing, what did they say?" Baier asked.

"We’re not building more wall. There’s no conversation," Scott responded. "There’s no there’s no adult dialogue, if you will. It’s just it’s just a black and white decision. The administration said we’re not doing it. So we’re not doing it. That money is just trickling away to those contractors for not doing work each day."

CODE RED: General (ZSU-24) Donahue Is on a Seek and Destroy Mission
[Red State] Over the weekend our Managing Editor, Jennifer Van Laar, broke the story of a huge scandal by reporting on the 2-ton war trophy Major General Christopher Donahue placed in the last C-17 out of Kabul. Even a C-17 has weight and cargo limits, so the war trophy reportedly displaced up to 50 people — human beings who were told/ordered to exit the aircraft so the Hilux and its accessory, a Russian anti-aircraft gun, could be loaded.

Now that the story has broken all hell has broken loose to find Jennifer’s source or sources. The Pentagon is embarrassed not because one of its Major Generals displaced human beings for a war trophy, but rather because the Army got caught doing it.

Al-Shabaab executes two men by firing squad in southern Somalia
[Garowe] Somalia-based al-Shabaab
...... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them...
turbans on Tuesday executed two people in Lower Jubba, in the latest killings targeted people believed to be against their divisive
...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled...
agenda aimed at taking over the Horn of Africa nation.

The execution took place at Jamame District in Lower Jubba, where the turbans have almost absolute control. The two men, reports indicate, were accused by the turbans of being sorcerers, and or, serving in government, a claim that could not be established.

The two, Mohammed Mowlid Aden and Abdullahi Hassan Omar, were accused of being government soldiers and sorcerers respectively by the al-Qaeda linked group. Witnesses say they were executed in front of at least 100 locals from the region.

According to reports, both men have lived in Jamame, a farming community some 70 km [43 miles] north of Kismayo
...a port city in the southern Lower Juba province of Somalia, at the extreme southern end of the country (always assuming Somalia can be called a country). It is the commercial capital of the autonomous Jubaland region....
, the interim administrative capital of Jubaland. Kismayo was one time an al-Shabaab stronghold before being liberated by AMISOM troops in 2012.

This is not an isolated incident given that al-Shabaab has in the past executed several men in the past, either by beheading or firing squad, in districts across the south and central Somalia where it has absolute control.

For almost 14 years, both the Somali National Army [SNA] and AMISOM troops have been fighting to dislodge the Death Eater insurgency group from parts of Somalia's fertile areas. The group uses strategic regions to extort taxes from locals.

Usually, al-Shabaab does not give victims access to their legal counsels and instead, it tries and executes them without being heard. It's this strategy that has led to the death of dozens of people who are condemned unheard.

Afghanistan
Afghan Electric Company to Sell Off Property of Former Govt Officials
[ToloNews] Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) on Wednesday said it is preparing to sell off the properties of a number of former government officials and local prominent people who have not paid their electricity bills, in some cases for years.

DABS announced the decision on Tuesday and has also stated that Afghanistan owes $62 million to four neighboring countries for imported electricity.

Safiullah Ahmadzai, acting operational director of DABS, said that after the procedure is finalized and approved by the caretaker cabinet, the company will start selling the properties of the indebted officials and local powerbrokers who have left Afghanistan.

According to DABS, the total amount of electricity bills owed to the company is around 500 million Afs.

"We are working on a procedure. A policy should be established to receive payments for the electricity bills from these people. Based on the policy, we might sell their properties or we will find alternative options," said Ahmadzai.

To what extent will the sale of properties aid DABS in paying the electricity costs?

Amanullah Ghalib, the former director of DABS, said: "This will address the problem in the short term. An amount of money will be collected to pay the electricity cost--at least an installment. But in the long run, it cannot resolve DABS’ problem."

Residents of the country welcomed DABS’ decision, saying the company should do all it can to prevent the cutoff of imported electricity.

"Their properties should be sold. They have left the country and will not return. The poor people have paid bills and now electricity should not be cut off for them," said Rohullah, a Kabul resident.

"Their property should be sold to pay their electricity bills," said Shafiq, a resident of Baghlan province.

DABS also said its revenue collection has dropped by 70 percent since the fall of the former government.

Paris attack survivors relive horror of 'playing dead' at Bataclan
[AlAhram] Survivors of the 2015 Islamic State massacre at the Bataclan concert hall in Gay Paree on Wednesday told the trial being held over a night of bloodshed in the French capital they "played dead" on the ground for hours to avoid being shot.

A total of 130 people were killed in synchronised suicide kabooms and mass shootings at venues across Gay Paree on the night of November 13, 2015, including 90 rock fans watching US band Eagles of Death Metal perform at the Bataclan.

Twenty people are on trial over the bloodshed, including the sole surviving member of the IS cell behind the attacks, Salah Abdeslam.

Did anyone listen to Jen Psaki yesterday say Kerry didn't say what everyone heard him say?

Kerry gets accused of this a lot. Remember back when Barry and McCain were itching for a shooting war with Russia and Iran - well, I think they were looking for a reason to provide air cover for their rebel forces to overthrow Assad - and Kerry accidentally said something to the effect, "Well, if they turn in their chemical weapons.." and Team Assad was like, "Deal!", and all the air went out of the orc drums, even though UK and France had fast tracked and passed war resolutions already and were just waiting on US Formalities?

Good Times.

Kabul Seeks Diplomatic Approach to Reduce Tensions With Dushanbe
There would be no reason for Tajikistan tension, were the Taliban not such generous hosts to their longtime Tajik jihadi guests across the border in Badakhshan province, Jamaat Ansarullah. See here about that generosity.
[ToloNews] The Ministry of Information and Culture said that diplomatic efforts were underway to reduce tensions between Afghanistan and neighboring Tajikistan.

A member of the cultural commission of the ministry, Rohullah Omari, on Wednesday called Tajikistan a good neighbor, but said Kabul will not allow Afghanistan’s soil to be violated by any country.

"The Foreign Ministry is in touch with all countries and is working for the facilitation of good ties," he said. "We will have discussions with Tajikistan on all issues."

Reportedly travel between the two countries at the border is no longer possible.

Stranded people say that they have spent several days trying to get across the border.

"The refugees come from Badakhshan to Takhar and from here they want to go to Shirkhan port but Shirkhan port is also shut and they are engaged in these problems," said Fawad, a displaced person.

"The tensions that exist between Afghanistan and Tajikistan are not in anyone's interest," said international relations expert Hamid Obaidi. "Resolving this is possible through mutually-recognized policy and neighborly gestures."

Sisi praises sacrifices of Sinai's people against Israeli occupation on anniversary of October victory
And a great victory was had by all.
[AlAhram] President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi praised the sacrifices made by the people of Sinai during times of war and peace, and the support they provided to the Egyptian Armed Forces against the Israeli occupation of the peninsula (1967-1981).

El-Sisi also pledged his continuous support for the citizens in the peninsula and his commitment to developing the entirety of Sinai.

The president's comments came during a cultural symposium titled ’October 1973 - Crossing to the Future’, which was organised by the Armed Forces as part of the celebrations for the 48th anniversary of the October War victory on Wednesday.

Egypt achieved victory in the October 1973 war against Israel, paving the way for the return of the occupied Sinai Peninsula to the homeland after a peace deal was signed with Israel.

During the symposium, Major General Samir Farag, the former head of the Army Morale Affairs Department, stressed that Egyptian soldiers shocked Israel with their bravery during the 6th of October War.

"After the October war, Israeli leaders admitted that the Egyptian soldiers they faced in 1973 were not the same soldiers of 1956 or 1967," Farag said.

Egypt’s victory during the October War eventually led to Israeli forces withdrawing from the Sinai Peninsula on 25 April, 1982 after 15 years of occupation that ended when a peace treaty was signed between Egypt and Israel in 1979.

In 1981, Tel Aviv provoked a diplomatic crisis with Cairo by refusing to hand back the Taba region in South Sinai to Egypt using false border maps.

Egyptian diplomats, historians, and legal experts managed to reclaim Taba, however, after an intense legal battle before an international judiciary to prove that the area was Egyptian territory.

Mofid Shehab, a member of the Taba National Committee and a member of its judicial defence panel before the International Court of Arbitration, was also honoured during the event today.

Shehab, a professor of international law in Cairo University, said that Egypt resorted to international arbitration to restore illusory sovereignty over its entire territory after the glorious October War because "we were not willing to give up an inch of Egypt’s land."

Ended in a mandated cease-fire when the UN realized that their Arab 'brothers' (and the Syrians to the north) were getting their *sses handed to them.

To be fair, the Egyptians fought much better in '72 than they did in '68, due the new improved soviet equipment and training.

I prefer the theory in Kenneth M. Pollack's Arabs At War:
...The Egyptian High Command wargamed the initial three days against the Israeli Army for years until they got it "right". What seemed to be improved Egyptian 'combined arms maneuver' was a series of orders in the nature of: "Move two(2) kilometers East and shoot at the charging Israeli tank column that will appear there..." issued before the fact. When the Egyptians actually had to dynamically respond their army operated about the way that you would expect... poorly.

Citing unnamed Israeli sources, the report says the request was relayed to the Prime Minister’s Office last week, with acting US Ambassador Michael Ratney phoning PMO officials to say the Biden administration wants plans for new settlements to be reduced in scope.

Ratney also reportedly raised concerns about possible future construction in the so-called E1 corridor between Jerusalem and the Ma’ale Adumim settlement.

An unnamed senior US official tells the news site that the administration has been in contact with Israel about settlements every week since Biden hosted Bennett at the White House in late August.

"President Joe Biden

Calvert, who is a member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, told Fox News last week that he obtained information from intelligence sources that said the bomber was one of the 7,000 prisoners housed at Bagram prison, from which he was released by the Taliban terrorist group.

Court upholds Trump law limiting state tax deductions
[NYPOST] A federal appeals court Tuesday unanimously rejected a suit filed by ex-Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo
...former Dem dynastic governor of Noo Yawk, the son and heir of the late Mario Cuoma and formerly married to a Kennedy. Acclaimed for his leadership during the COVID epidemic, he managed the nation's highest corpse count while successfully hiding the returns and writing a book praising himself. Among the nation's horniest politicians, he had about a dozen allegations of sexual harrassment and groping against him when he resigned...
to overturn a tax overhaul law approved by former President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
in 2017 that limited federal deductions on state and local taxes. The $1.5 trillion law imposed a $10,000 cap on itemized SALT deductions that taxpayers could write-off on their federal returns, which provided Trump and the then-Republican-led Congress more revenues to pay for other federal tax cuts.

The SALT cap largely affects the wealthiest taxpayers in high tax Democratic states in the Northeast — New York and New Jersey, and Connecticut, as well as Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,.

The Trump tax reform cut taxes for wealthy Americans and dramatically slashed the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent. But many low and moderate income taxpayers also benefited from the Trump-era federal tax cuts.

One study even concluded that New Yorkers overall benefitted from the Trump tax changes, undercutting Cuomo’s claims that it damaged residents.

New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland joined New York in what many experts believed was a long-shot bid to overturn the federal law that limited the SALT deduction. Cuomo and other plaintiffs claimed the law was unconstitutional and trampled on state’s rights and illusory sovereignty.

In a 3-0 decision, the judges for the US Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit in Manhattan disagreed, delivering a stinging defeat to New York and other plaintiff states.

"What really propels the plaintiffs’ view that Congress is constitutionally foreclosed from eliminating or curtailing the SALT deduction is their position that, until 2017, Congress had never done so. We disagree that the Constitution imposes such a constraint on Congress," said Circuit Judge Raymond Lohier.

"They point us to nothing that compels the federal Government to protect taxpayers from the true costs of paying their state and local taxes. We reject the Plaintiff States’ contention that the Constitution mandates the SALT deduction."

Cyprus said to suspect Azeri man of terror in alleged plot against Israelis
[IsraelTimes] Cypriot authorities are probing an Azeri national on suspicion of carrying out a terror attack as part of an alleged plot to assassinate one or more Israeli businesspeople in Cyprus, according to Israel’s Channel 12 news.

During a hearing at which the suspect’s remand is extended by six days, Cypriot police reveal they are also investigating the suspect for attempted murder, belonging to a criminal organization, conspiracy to commit a crime and being in the country illegally, among other charges.

The suspect’s lawyer tells the Israeli network that his client denies any terror links and has nothing to hide.

The lawyer also denies any Iranian connection to the alleged plot, despite Israel’s government blaming "Iranian terror" for the reported liquidation attempt.

"The investigating unit has not proven these things to us," the lawyer says.

The network further reports the Mossad intelligence agency believes seven Israelis were targeted as part of the plot — businessman Teddy Sagi and six people who work with him.

Biden announces that there’s a ‘real possibility’ that Senate Democrats will have to revise the filibuster to a simple majority vote in order to overcome Republican obstructionism — but Sen. Manchin uninterested

(D-W.Va.) signaled on Oct. 6 that he won’t support carving out an exception to the filibuster for the federal debt limit, meaning Democrats don’t have enough votes to employ the so-called nuclear option.

"I’ve been very, very clear where I stand on the filibuster. I don’t have to repeat that. I think I’ve been very clear. Nothing’s changed," Manchin told news hounds in Washington.

Some Democrats want to nuke the filibuster to boost the debt ceiling because they’re refusing to use reconciliation to address it, and Republicans oppose their current plans on the limit.

President Joe The Big Guy Biden

Tunisia police seize equipment used by pro-Ennahdha channel
[AlAhram] Tunisian security forces on Wednesday seized broadcasting equipment used by an unlicensed television station close to the Islamist-inspired Ennahdha party, the country's media authority said.

Zitouna TV, considered close to Ennahdha and its ally al-Karama, both of which oppose a July power grab by President Kais Saied, had been operating illegally, the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA) said.

"Broadcasting equipment was confiscated today from the Zitouna channel following a decision," HAICA president Nouri Lajmi told AFP.

"Zitouna has been broadcasting illegally for years and has not received a broadcasting licence as it has not respected the legal framework."

Nasreddine bin Hammouda, head of production at the Zitouna Network that produces programmes for Zitouna TV and other channels, said "security forces accompanied by members of the HAICA raided the headquarters of Zitouna Network... and began confiscating equipment".

"Nobody told us it was forbidden to work with Zitouna TV," he said.

The channel was still on air, he added.

Saied in July suspended parliament, sacked the Ennahdha-supported government of Hichem Mechichi and removed MPs' immunity following months of growing public anger over an ongoing economic crisis and failings in managing the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic.

Hichem El-Senoussi, a member of HAICA, told AFP that decisions had been taken a month ago against Zitouna TV and other channels that had "failed to comply with orders to stop broadcasting".

Zitouna TV started broadcasting in 2012, following the fall of longtime dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in an uprising the previous year.

In 2015, some of its equipment was seized but it continued operating.

El-Senoussi said the HAICA had repeatedly ordered the channel to close, but that it had been "supported by political actors including Ennahdha", preventing the orders from being implemented.

Tunisian authorities on Sunday arrested Zitouna TV presenter Amer Ayad on charges of "plotting against state security", his lawyer said, along with an al-Karama MP who appeared on Ayad's show and criticised Saied's moves.

It was the latest detention of a politician after Saied lifted their immunity.

Military justice arrested al-Karama's head Seifeddine Makhlouf on September 22 for "undermining the dignity of the army", his lawyer said at the time.

IDPs in Washokani camp, northeast Syria, complain about the lack of food baskets distributed by NGOs, as families often receive one food basket every two months
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Two years of displacement from her hometown, Anoud al-Jassem, 69, an IDP from the countryside of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), who resides with her family in Washokani camp near Hasakah city in northeast Syria, still remembers everything she left behind.

The displaced woman, sitting in front of her tent with her disabled daughter and other displaced women from her region, said that she left behind her warehouses of wheat, barley, cumin, electricity generators, tanks of water and diesel, and all its possessions, including a house, land, and others.

The old woman, who suffers from many diseases, the most noticeable are herniated disc, diabetes and blood pressure problem, added that "We just took our clothes we were wearing when we were displaced."

On October 9, 2019, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
and its affiliated opposition factions invaded Sere Kaniye and Tel Abyad, causing the displacement of 300,000 indigenous people.

The people of the two cities are distributed among tents and shelters in northeast Syria. They live in harsh living conditions amid lack of humanitarian aid.

Washokani camp, which was established by the Autonomous Administration on October 24, 2019, on the outskirt of the town of al-Tweina, 13 km west of Hasakah, houses 2,317 families, a total of 15,158 people, distributed among 1,986 tents, according to the camp management.

Riyad Mer’i, official of the Relations Office at Washokani camp, said that food baskets have not been distributed for the past two months, as "the organizations justified this by the lack of sufficient budgets."

According to Mer’i, the provided aid does not meet 20% of the needs of the IDPs of drinking water and food.

Over the last period, organizations that were providing services in the camp, have stopped distributing these services and headed towards the areas of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa, according to Mar’i.

"Three children bit the dust in the camp in the summer due to the high temperatures," Meri’ told North Press.

Meri’ pointed out that many NGOs have evaded their "moral and humanitarian" responsibilities towards the IDPs of Sere Kaniye, "as a result of the Syrian government’s failure to recognize this camp and the failure of the UNHCR to provide aid to the displaced."

Afghanistan
Will Chinese PMCs appear in Turkestan?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
By Evgeniya Kim

[Regnum] Beijing discussed with Kazakhstan the possibility of deploying its security structures in the country.

China is not confident that the Taliban will abide by the agreements reached. Vasily Kashin, an expert at the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and an expert on the Chinese military-industrial complex, spoke in an interview with IA REGNUM about the prospects of a Chinese military presence in Afghanistan and the countries of Turkestan.

IA REGNUM: The topic of Chinese private military companies (PMCs) in Turkestan has been discussed for many years. Could the Chinese military appear in the region in the near future in connection with the events in Afghanistan?

There were no Chinese PMCs in the countries of Central Asia and there are none.

What the residents of Tajikistan are frightened with are not PMCs. On the territory of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of Tajikistan, there are posts, and from time to time units of the army or the People's Armed Police of China enter the territory to block alternative routes to the XUAR of the PRC.

This is done within the framework of the 2016 agreement between the chiefs of the General Staffs of the PRC, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan. According to the current agreements, China periodically entered the territory of the Wakhan corridor of Afghanistan and GBAO.

The PRC does not have PMCs, it has PSCs that are engaged in armed guards abroad. In China, there are companies that escort cargo on ships in the Horn of Africa. Other companies are guarding Chinese assets in troubled regions - in the Middle East and Africa. And there are joint security structures, some of whose employees are local residents.

Beijing did discuss, at least with Kazakhstan, the possibility of the presence of its security structures in the country to protect investment projects. But the idea of hiring purely Chinese structures did not materialize.

The PRC takes into account the growth of anti-Chinese sentiments, especially in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Their approach to the presence of guards at their facilities in other countries will be very careful and, most likely, will be implemented in the form of joint security organizations or the hiring of local security structures.

But this has nothing to do with the Taliban.

IA REGNUM: Now an information campaign is unfolding - the PRC is accused of cooperation with the Taliban(an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation). What is the actual degree of Beijing's influence on the decisions of the new Afghan leadership?

The position of the PRC on the Taliban is similar to that of Russia. Beijing has its own channel to communicate with the new government in Afghanistan through Pakistani intelligence. But at the same time, China does not have much influence on the Taliban and there is no confidence that its members will comply with the agreements reached.

This is clearly seen in the way the PRC is strengthening its troops in the western part of the country, stepping up work within the SCO and through bilateral cooperation with Russia.

IA REGNUM How do you assess the fighting efficiency of the current PLA?

Chinese military power is now on the rise. They got involved in military competition with the United States. At the same time, it is important to note that Beijing's focus of military development and priorities related to rivalry with the United States is rather far from Central Asia.

The fastest growing branch of the Chinese armed forces is the naval forces. Until recently, the grouping of troops in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China was one of the most poorly equipped, with a huge amount of antique weapons.

But shortly before the collapse of the American government in Afghanistan, Beijing began active rearmament of troops in the XUAR. By the time the Taliban came to power, the level of equipment of troops in the western part of China was pulled up to the level of armament of the army in other regions of the country.

Germany repatriates women and children with links to IS
[DW] Eight women with ties to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
have been brought back to Germany and held in jug. More than 20 children have also returned, but it is "the mothers who will have to answer for their acts," Heiko Maas said.

Germany's Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said late Wednesday that eight women who had joined the so-called Islamic State (IS) terror group have been repatriated from Syria.

Twenty-three children had also been brought back to Germany.

Maas said: "The children are not responsible for their situation... the mothers will have to answer for their acts."

AUTHORITIES WILL INVESTIGATE REPATRIATED WOMEN
The aircraft carrying the women and kiddies landed at Frankfurt International Airport late Wednesday night.

Upon arrival the women were taken into custody and are under criminal investigation.

Germany had arranged the repatriation along with Denmark, which received three women and 14 children as part of the mission, according to Maas.

The foreign minister said that he was "happy" to have brought the people back to Germany, especially the children who he said "were in particular need of protection."

REPATRIATED GROUP HAD BEEN HELD IN NORTHERN SYRIA
Before returning to Germany the women and kiddies had been held at a detention camp in Roj in northeastern Syria.

Last month it was reported that two children were dying each week in the Roj and al-Hol detention camps. Families of IS fighters were taken to these facilities after the terror group's final stand in in Baghouz, which signaled its collapse.

As IS loses control of its so-called Caliphate, the question on what to do with imported muscle and their families has become more pertinent for governments.

There has been a level of reluctance to accept the return of people who had been involved with the terror group, largely due to concerns around the potential threat they pose and negative public opinion.

Amazon leaving Seattle
[DONSURBER.BLOGSPOT] Bloomberg reported, "Amazon CEO, citing ’rougher’ patch with Seattle, looks to ’burbs."

This is not white flight. Seattle has become coyote ugly crazy and Amazon CEO Andy Jassy wants to leave before he has to gnaw off his leg to get out of the trap.

Shades of Boeing and the Seattle Supersonics.

Bloomberg's story said, "The world’s largest online retailer is by far the biggest private employer in Seattle with more than 50,000 workers. That distinction has proved a headache in recent years, with some residents and government officials blaming the company for exacerbating homelessness and traffic."

Seattle has turned Amazon into its whipping boy, blaming the company for problems the city creates.

Jassy spoke at an event hosted by technology news site GeekWire.

He said, "I’d say the last five years, the city council has become less enamored with business or with Amazon. It’s just been rougher."

The city wanted to burden Amazon heavily with taxes. The company and others fought it back, Then the company backed a slate of city council candidates who lost.

It is time to vamoose.

The story said, "The company, which is wrapping up construction of an expanded Seattle headquarters campus, has since shifted its expansion planning toward neighboring cities like Bellevue and Redmond. Bellevue, just east of Seattle, 'is where most of our growth will end up being,' Jassy said. He added that he wouldn’t be surprised if Amazon opened other offices in additional cities in the region."

Jeff Bezos, who no longer runs the business, started Amazon in his garage in Bellevue in 1994, across the lake from Seattle. A return to its roots may be in good order.

Seattle's hostility to business led to Boeing's departure for reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
in 2001. The company was founded in Seattle in 1916. It decided last year to shutter its last factory in Seattle.

50 years ago, real-estate agents Bob McDonald and Jim Youngren put the words, "Will the last person leaving SEATTLE -- Turn out the lights" on a billboard at S 167th Street and Pacific Highway S near Sea-Tac International Airport.

At the time, Boeing was going through a rough patch as it cut employment from 100,800 employees in 1967 to a low of 38,690 in April 1971, when the sign went up. The purpose of the sign was to inject a little humor and therefore hope in a bleak situation. Within 6 months, Boeing had recalled 15,000 laid off workers.

But that was how business cycles work. The goose that lays the golden eggs occasionally takes a few months off.

No, to really kill business, you need a government that is hostile and frankly jealous of success. In 22 short years, the garage business became the top retailer in the country. Seattle is doing everything it can to force Amazon out.

The CEO finally got the hint because when it comes to Democrat policy, there is no such thing as unintended consequences. Seattle wants Amazon out. So be it.

Borne the Battle #258: Army and Air Force Veteran Fannie Griffin McClendon, Centenarian, 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion
[VAtagePoint] In 1945, warehouses in Birmingham, England, were brimming with unsent postal mail intended for U.S. soldiers at the frontlines. At the same time, African American organizations pressed the War Department to create more opportunities for African American Women’s Army Corps members to serve. Tackling two issues at once, the War Department started recruiting African American women and formed the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. The job was expected to take six months. The "Six Triple Eight" did it in three.

Retired Air Force Major Fannie Griffin McClendon was one of these women to take up the monumental task of ensuring soldiers on the frontlines received mail sent to them by their loved ones, regardless of rain, sleet, "buzz bombs," racism, and sexism. Indeed, throughout her time in the 6888th Battalion and later as a commander with Strategic Air Command, she faced and overcame many instances of racism and sexism thrown at her. This ranged from men who refused to serve under her because she was a woman. Focusing on her vital duties to the country, McClendon knocked down barriers and shattered glass ceilings at every corner of her military career.

[AlAhram] The migrants colonists likely drowned. The U.N. migration agency has said that more than 1,100 migrants colonists have been reported dead or presumed dead in numerous boat mishaps and shipwrecks off Libya's coast so far this year.

At least 17 bodies, likely of Europe-bound migrants colonists, have washed ashore in western Libya, the Libyan Red Islamic Thingy said as authorities began to vaccinate migrants colonists in the North African country on Wednesday against the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
, in cooperation with the United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
The bodies were found Tuesday near the western Libyan town of Zawiya, the Red Islamic Thingy's branch in the town said, and were handed over to authorities for burial.

Libya was plunged into turmoil by the NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Originally it was a mutual defense pact directed against an expansionist Soviet Union. In later years it evolved into a mechanism for picking the American pocket while criticizing the cut of the American pants...
-backed 2011 uprising that toppled and killed longtime dictator Muammar Qadaffy
...Proof that a madman with money will be politely received for at least 42 years until his people get tired of him and kill him...
. The North African nation has since emerged as a popular, if extremely dangerous, route to Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
for those fleeing poverty and civil war in Africa and the Middle East.

Oil-rich Libya is largely governed by local militias, many of which profit from the trafficking. Rights groups say migrants colonists traversing Libya have been tortured, raped and subjected to forced labor at the hands of traffickers and inside official detention centers.

U.N.-commissioned Sherlocks found that the practice of arbitrary disappearances and violence against migrants colonists inside Libyan prisons could amount to crimes against humanity.

Meanwhile,
...back at the fist fight, Jake ducked another roundhouse, then parried with his left, then with his right, finally with his chin...
Libyan health authorities started to vaccinate migrants colonists in the country against the coronavirus, in cooperation with the U.N. migration agency. The campaign kicked off at a health facility in Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
, where several migrants colonists got their first shot of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine.
A waste of effort, only marginally better than saline solution.
Federico Soda, the head of the International Organization for Migration in Libya, was present at Wednesday's kickoff of the vaccination drive. ``This is a health issue for the migrants colonists that we are extremely concerned about,`` he said. ``But it's also a public health issue ... to overcome the pandemic.''

It was not immediately clear how the authorities would go about vaccinating thousands of migrants colonists held in detention centers across Libya. Tens of thousands of others live openly in Libyan cities and towns.

Libya has reported more than 34,400 cases of COVID-19 and 4,720 deaths, but the tally is likely much higher in part due to limited testing as in other impoverished countries.

Afghanistan
Taliban arrest 4 IS members as extremist threat grows
[AlAhram] The Taliban
...Arabic for students...
arrested four Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
members and seized their documents and weapons north of the Afghan capital, the group's chief front man said Wednesday.

Zabihullah Mujahid said the operation was carried out Tuesday night by special unit forces in the Pashai area of Pagham district in Kabul province. He provided no additional details.

The arrests came as the Taliban leadership, which assumed control of the country after seizing the capital on Aug. 15, grapples with a growing security threat from the group known as Islamic State Khorasan, an IS affiliate. The holy warrior group has ramped up attacks since the Taliban consolidated power following the U.S. exit. It has grabbed credit for attacks including two deadly bombings in the capital in the last month.

IS claimed it targeted Tuesday night a vehicle carrying Taliban members with an bomb in District 1 in Kunar province
... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country.....
, northeast of the capital, killing and wounding those onboard. It said a Taliban reinforcement patrol rushed to the area to help but IS fighters clashed with them, killing and wounding ``many.''

IS re-emerged in Afghanistan in 2020 after being weakened by a heavy U.S. bombing campaign directed against them in the eastern part of the country in 2019. The group grabbed credit for Sunday's bombing at Kabul's Eid Gah Mosque which killed five civilians. It has also grabbed credit for the horrific bombing on Aug. 26 that killed more than 169 Afghans and 13 U.S. military personnel outside the Kabul airport.

The Taliban have since launched many raids to root out IS cells.

Separately, two witnesses and a hospital official said two Taliban members were shot and killed and three civilians were maimed when unknown button men shot up a Taliban patrol in a vegetable market Wednesday morning in the northeastern city of Jalalabad. The hospital official said the hospital received two dead bodies and two maimed men.

They spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the subject.

Jalalabad has emerged as a flashpoint in the rivalry between the Taliban and IS, with numerous attacks taking place there since the takeover.

Romanov wedding - will there be a monarchy in Russia?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

I believe the short answer to be no.

[Regnum] For Russian ambitious and fetishists, for the "elite" who understands "elitism" as superiority over other people, the wedding of the offspring of the Hohenzollern-Romanov family was a vanity fair. It is noteworthy how individual members of the near-political beau monde like Lyudmila Narusova, Pavel Astakhov, and Natalia Narochnitskaya rushed to touch the "saint."
Lyudmila Narusova is a member of the Russian Federation Council, its senate, if you will.
But in the political dimension, this wedding was, of course, not about the past, but about the future.

Every monarchist who was asked the question whether Gosha Hohenzollern would become a Russian autocrat answered in the style of "Why not." That is, they want to say "yes", but they are afraid to seem ridiculous or to give out plans, or they understand that, with all their desire, this will not happen.

In fact, of course, these and other Romanovs have no chance of rule. It would never occur to anyone in the modern Russian government to move and share capital.
Capital in this context is resources. When Nicolas II died he was the wealthiest man in the world.
Then why put on a play? The most conservative part of the political class has several reasons for this.

First, it is useful to keep the topic of monarchy in a positive way in the information and public field. For capital, which needs to be passed on from generation to generation, feudalism is actually more convenient than capitalism: you do not need to prove your rights in courts, pay taxes. For ignorant and apolitical people, the Hohenzollern-Romanov couple is presented as simply "loving each other" young people, without claims to the throne and property. Both points are false; propagandists of the monarchy like Zurab Chavchavadze and Konstantin Malofeev will make claims for the newlyweds.

Secondly, the family of German collaborators will advantageously set off a real Russian candidate for autocracy with their absurd personalities, no matter who they become, it will be easier against them than without them. Not today, but in the future: for the idea of a monarchy to be accepted by more Russians, clericalization must be allowed to work and the level of education of people must be lowered - both processes are actively going on.

Thirdly, it is necessary to weave a part of modern Russia into the reactionary networks of the European aristocracy - there is access to capital, "traditionalists", the fascist underground, as well as elements of terrorism, such as the "standard-bearer of Tradition" Sixt-Heinrich Bourbon-Parma , whom Malofeev regularly brings to Moscow.

On the basis of today's ultra-right networks in Europe and Russia, it will be possible to build a Holy Alliance, as in 1815 following the Vienna Congress. Even two hundred years ago, the Holy Alliance was a reactionary organization with a sharply outlined clerical-monarchical ideology, created with the aim of suppressing revolutionary sentiments in Europe.
Aleksandr II's adherence to the clerical/monarchial ideology led him straight to confrontation with the west at Crimea in 1854.
In June 2014, in Vienna, in a secret atmosphere, K. Malofeev and A. Dugin actually held a meeting of leaders of the ultra-right and monarchist circles of Europe. Subsequently, such meetings were held annually in the complex "Constantinople" near Moscow K. Malofeev.

What are the chances of success for this transnational group of fanatical clerics, monarchists and far-rightists? For Russian society, their ideas today sound very wild. For most Russian capital groups and interests, the idea of a monarchy is also absurd: the bourgeoisie in Russia overthrew the autocrat back in February 1917.
(The month Aleksandr abdicated and a provisional government was set up, prior to the Oktobr Revolution)
However, the ruling class, if it needs to remain in power for decades, plays with the monarchist idea that is quite beneficial. The ideology of conservatism was officially declared precisely for the preservation of power, the rest of the "traditional values" are just decorations for the people.

The answer to the question whether there will be autocracy in Russia - under this or another concept - today cannot be found even in power. To a large extent, it will depend on the economic situation - the crisis will increase the chances, and on the degree of contact with reality among the ruling class.

#1  ...On the other hand, why not?

Consider -
*Russia has traditionally had an autocratic form of government, which for whatever reason seems to suit them.
*Vlad knows he can't stay there forever, and he knows perfectly well that he's not the most popular guy in the world.
But royalty of any stripe tends to be well liked. Imagine a nationalist Russia, buoyed up by a new constitutional monarchy (with Putin as the Red Gray Eminence)led by Czar Gyorgi I and buttressed by the Orthodox Church. The people will probably love it, the foreign press will have new royals to play with, and Vlad gets to keep running the place while a young, constitutional, and respectable monarch is out front smiling.

#7  I think Mike has the shortest line between 2 points. What the Hell, they already have an autocrat. But one way or the other, I lived long enough to see the Soviet Union GONE, and not simply bleeding demised like the parrot but so gone there was a Romanov prince married in a cathedral in St Petersburg.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Tens of thousands in Gaza line up for Israeli work permits as rumors swirl
[IsraelTimes] Tens of thousands of Paleostinians lined up outside chambers of commerce across the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip on Wednesday, hoping to get permits to work inside Israel after rumors circulated that more would be issued to residents of the territory ruled by the Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, terror group.

Gaza’s more than 2 million Paleostinian residents have lived under an Israeli and Egyptian blockade since Hamas seized power from rival Paleostinian forces in the coastal region in 2007. Israel says the closures are needed to contain the terror group sworn to its destruction, and to prevent it from importing weaponry and materials to manufacture arms and attack tunnels.

An Israeli security official said authorities decided to allow in 7,000 workers in September but were only able to issue 4,500 permits. They are now taking applications for the remaining 2,500, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
in line with regulations. The permits were for businesspeople, rather than day laborers.

Sharif al-Faqawi, one of the workers lining up for a permit, said he shares a single room with his wife and eight children.

"We hope the crossings will be open so we can work and feed our children," he said. "When I go north (into Israel), at least I will be able to feed them and build a future for them."

Israel and Hamas have fought four wars since 2008, the most recent in May of this year. Hamas has demanded the easing of the blockade as part of an informal cease-fire brokered by Egypt. Israel has lifted some restrictions since the end of the 11-day May war while warning that any broader easing depends on continued calm.

Hamas recently organized a workshop to discuss the management of natural resources in what is now Israel once the terror group "liberates" historical Paleostine.

Critics saw the event as evidence of Hamas’s disconnection from the daily hardships endured by Paleostinians in Gaza, where employment hovers around 50%.

Tens of thousands of Paleostinians from the West Bank also work in Israel, where wages are much higher, mainly in construction and agriculture.

Pfizer Scientists Say Natural Immunity Is Superior and Big Pharma Is Suppressing Info for Money
[PJMEDIA] James O’Keefe and Project Veritas has struck again and this time, it looks like undercover honey pots took some Pfizer nerds out for dinner and got them talking about stuff The Man doesn’t want you to know—specifically, that natural immunity is better than the COVID vaccine. Duh. We all know this. But the Ministry of Truth is trying to bury knowledge we’ve all had since birth and pretend that none of our grandparents knew how to treat a respiratory virus.

Project Veritas’s new undercover video exposes Pfizer scientists admitting what we all already know. Get ready for this one. It’s illuminating. (I can’t be the only one who feels a little bad for these lab geeks who think they’re out on a date with a pretty girl. They’re never going to trust women again. And I hope they don’t get fired. They seem like decent dudes.)

Nick Karl, a biochemist at Pfizer, said, "When somebody is naturally immune— like they got COVID— they probably have...more antibodies against the virus because what the vaccine is...that protein is just on the outside." He continued explaining, "It’s just one antibody against one specific part of the virus. When you actually get the virus you’ll start producing antibodies against multiple pieces of virus, not only the outside portion but the inside portion, the actual virus so your antibodies are probably better at that point than the vaccination."

Two other scientists had the same things to say. "You’re protected most likely for longer since it’s a natural response," said Chris Croce, senior associate scientist at Pfizer.

Scientist Raul Khandke concurred, saying, "We’re like bred and taught to be like [the] vaccine is safer than actually getting COVID...you cannot like talk about this, it’s not in public. If you have antibodies built up, you should be able to prove that you have those built up."

Croce added, "I feel like I work for an evil corporation...basically our organization is run on COVID money now." Croce then talked about how paranoid Pfizer is about this information getting out there. "There’s eyes and ears everywhere. You don’t talk about anything that could possibly implicate you or Big Pharma. Even when you shut the door to the office, it’s like, ’who’s listening?'"

#6  Big Pharma Is Suppressing Info for Money

At 20$ per shot (as compared to 50K $ per hospitalization or 2100$ per monoclonal) what big money we're talking about?

p.s. The report is these guys' speculation. It's not based on experiments etc... And, while these guys maybe tops in their narrow specialization - they see diddly squat of the big picture.
The story of multiple proteins is bullshit. If that biochemist actually studied immunology, he'd know that while an initial immune response involves thousands of lymphocyte clones, eventually only one remains - and provides immune memory. That's known as affinity maturation

pp.s. The whole emphasis on antibodies is bullshit. Antiviral immunity is based on T cells: T killer cells that kill virus infected cells. And T helper cells that direct them (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T_helper_cell).

#7  #5 Lets get two things straight.
(a) There was nothing wrong with Israel having business with South Africa. By now, 20+ years after Apartheid was abolished, it should be clear to everyone that it was the lesser evil.
(b) You people always talk about Fauci financing the Wuhan experiments (EcoHealth received $3.7m from the NIH, $600,000 of which was given to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.). Well, research such as was carried in Wuhan, should cost tens of millions. So USA 600K maybe financed coffee & donuts for personnel.

Several Malian soldiers die in jihadi attack
[DW] As many as 16 soldiers have been killed and 10 others injured in an attack in central Mali involving an improvised bomb (IED), health and security sources said on Wednesday.

The attack, near the village of Bodio in the Mopti region, comes as the Sahel country continues efforts to suppress a nine-year Islamist insurgency. The rebellion has cost the lives of thousands of soldiers and civilians since it broke out in the country's north in 2012.

Mali's army had earlier said five soldiers had been killed and eight maimed, but local officials raised it, saying dozens of jihadis had also been killed.

In its statement, the army said soldiers had fought off a "complex IED attack."

Central Mali has become a main arena for violence amid the insurgency, which has raged on despite the presence of French and UN troops. The rebellion has also spread to neighboring Burkina Faso
