[KhaamaPress] NBC News reported that ISIS-Khorasan has recently intensified its recruitment efforts, aiming to launch attacks in the U.S. and the West.
The report, published on Sunday, cites U.S. officials and analysts, highlighting ISIS’s efforts to attract dissatisfied Moslems for terrorist attacks in the U.S. and Europe.
Counterterrorism experts have pointed to the arrest of an Afghan immigrant plotting an Election Day attack in the U.S., as well as plots in La Belle France, Sweden, and other countries, as evidence of the growing ISIS-K threat.
The report states that ISIS has spread propaganda in 12 languages, including Persian and Pashto, targeting the Moslem diaspora in the U.S. and Europe.
ISIS aims to exploit the feelings of isolation and alienation experienced by Afghans and Moslems in the West. According to experts, the group’s focus on disillusioned Afghan communities in Western countries is unsurprising.
ISIS’s propaganda on platforms like TikTok portrays the group as the only "true Islamic military organization" fighting against foreign influences like the U.S. in Moslem countries.
A Soufan Center researcher noted that ISIS propaganda emphasizes U.S. military interventions and portrays America as a "declining empire," further fueling anti-Western sentiments.
U.S. officials have noted that as attention shifts to the Israel-Gazoo

[IsraelTimes] Celtic fans defaced bleachers with ‘Fuck Hersh’ graffiti after losing 7-1 to Borussia Dortmund; an Israeli player left the team in March because of anti-Israel sentiment

Posts on social media showed the railing at Borussia Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park defaced with graffiti reading "Fuck Hersh" after Celtic’s 7-1 loss in the UEFA Champions League. The graffiti was likely a reaction to the overwhelming solidarity exhibited by German soccer fans with Israeli hostages in general and with Goldberg-Polin in particular, who was a fan of the Hapoel Jerusalem soccer team.
German club SV Werder Bremen commemorated Goldberg-Polin with a large banner in September after his body was recovered from Gaza alongside five other hostages. In July, while Goldberg-Polin was still alive in captivity, the team displayed a banner of him outside their stadium that read "Let Hersh Free."
Bayern Munich hosted hostage families at a game in November, and FC St. Pauli hosted former hostage Liam Or in March after he was released from captivity during a temporary truce in November.
Celtic fans are known for their anti-Israel sentiment, even though several Israeli players have played for the team in recent years. In March, Israeli forward Liel Abada left the team because of pressure from compatriots to cease playing for fans who regularly displayed banners reading "Free Paleostine" and "Victory to the resistance." While Celtic fans regularly use symbols of Paleostinian nationalism when cheering on their team, the fans of their rival, Rangers FC, often respond by waving Israeli flags.
Goldberg-Polin was kidnapped by forces of Evil from the Nova music festival near the Gaza border on October 7, 2023 ; terrorist fire left him without an arm. He was executed in captivity alongside five other hostages in August. Their bodies were found a few days later by Israeli forces, which led to an intensification of mass protests calling for a deal to release the remaining hostages.

The offensive targeted key al-Shabaab hideouts in the Yaaqle area of Middle Shabelle and various rural locales in Galgadud, effectively disrupting the murderous Moslems' activities and destroying essential military supplies. NISA's statement highlighted that these actions have severely curtailed al-Shabaab's mobility within these strategic regions.
This military engagement follows closely on the heels of another successful operation by Somali forces in Qeycad, southern Mudug region, where 30 al-Shabaab fighters were killed, further demonstrating the government's intensified efforts against the Islamist group.
Somali officials noted that these operations were launched based on precise intelligence regarding al-Shabaab's movements, indicating a proactive approach to countering the insurgency with support from international partners.

[IsraelTimes] The commander of the IDF’s 401st Armored Brigade, Col. Ehsan Daqsa, was killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip earlier today, the military announces.
According to an initial IDF probe, Daqsa’s tank and another tank were hit by explosive devices during operations in Jabaliya.
Daqsa is one of the most senior officers to have been killed in the fighting in Gaza.
Another officer was seriously wounded in the same incident.
Daqsa, 41, was from the Druze town of Daliyat al-Karmel. He took command of the 401st Brigade in June. Daqsa also was decorated with a citation from the head of the Northern Command for his involvement in the Battle of Ayta ash-Shab in 2006.
[IsraelTimes] Daliyat al-Karmel mayor Rafik Halabi says his Druze town is “wearing black” after the death of Col. Ehsan Daqsa, the commander of the IDF’s 401st Armored Brigade.
“With sorrow, pain, and much grief, Daliyat al-Karmel, the IDF, the Druze community and the State of Israel say goodbye to one of its heroes,” Halabi writes in a post on X.

[IsraelTimes] The US notes the uptick in humanitarian aid that Israel has allowed into northern Gaza after an “unacceptable” two-week halt on all assistance reaching that part of the Strip at the beginning of the month, adding that the subsequent increase must be sustained.
“We note the resumption of deliveries this week into northern Gaza, including through the vital lifeline from Jordan, with 129 trucks entering northern Gaza this week, after an unacceptable slowdown since October 1st,” says National Security Council spokesperson Sean Savett.
“That number must further increase over the coming week, and we are grateful for Jordan’s leadership in organizing these deliveries,” he adds in a statement, adding that the US is working to boost aid into Gaza and appreciates the airdrops of assistance that the UAE has constructed in recent days.
The US sent a letter to Israel on October 13, warning that it has 30 days to take significant steps to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza or risk the continued supply of some offensive weapons.
[IsraelTimes] Israel says 114 trucks carrying humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom and Erez crossings yesterday.
The Israeli body overseeing humanitarian aid, COGAT, says that while 21 trucks were collected from the Gazan side of the Kerem Shalom crossing by international organizations, some 600 trucks worth of aid were still waiting for collection.
COGAT says a convoy of 24 trucks crossed through Gate 96 into northern Gaza.

[IsraelTimes] Channel 12 news reports that the Shin Bet security agency sent out an urgent warning to several official bodies including the Israel Police and the National Security Council hours before Hamas launched its brutal massacre on October 7, 2023.
According to the report, the Shin Bet sent out the alert at 2:58 a.m., around three hours before terrorists breached the Gaza border fence to begin their rampage through southern Israel.
The Shin Bet alert noted suspicious SIM activity from several Hamas cells in Gaza, which it said could indicate an impending attack, Channel 12 reports.
No action was taken as a result of the alert, according to the report, and the Shin Bet declines to comment.
The government and top military leaders have contended that they had not been warned about an imminent invasion at the time, despite several reports that have surfaced in the past year of red flags raised about Hamas’s plans to launch a major offensive.

How often when dealing with Palestinians is there No Suspicious Activity happening?
Had the IDF responded, I imagine State Department and US would continue selling the world the Palestinians are peace partners for another half century.
I would like to see all the dispatches from US diplomats that advanced: give the Palestinians Gaza and Work Permits... and they promise not to kill you.
I imagine a huge pressure campaign by the US and State was occurring behind the scenes to downplay Palestinian Aggressions.
[IsraelTimes] The THAAD missile defense battery is reportedly now operational in Israel, sent by the US military to protect the country in case of an Iranian reaction to an expected Israeli reprisal attack.
Around 100 US troops were expected to be deployed to operate the system, which is considered a complimentary system to the Patriot system but can defend a wider area, capable of hitting targets at ranges of 150-200 kilometers (93-124 miles).
The Kan broadcaster reports that the system is now operational in Israel, while the Saudi-owned Al Arabiya outlet quotes sources as saying that three batteries are functioning.
Iran has been bracing for an Israeli retaliation after its October 1 attack, which it said came in response to Israeli strikes in Lebanon last month that killed the top leadership of the Hezbollah terror group, an Iranian proxy, and a July blast in Tehran that killed Hamas politburo head, Ismail Haniyeh.

[IsraelTimes] SodaStream’s ex-CEO adds reward to PM’s promise of immunity for those who return living hostages, says valid until midnight Wednesday; flyers dropped over Gaza purportedly by IDF
An entrepreneur offered a financial reward on Saturday to Gazooks who return living hostages to Israel, as flyers dropped over the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip purportedly by the IDF offered immunity to those who lay down arms.
In a video message delivered in English with Arabic subtitles, former SodaStream CEO Daniel Birnbaum promised $100,000 to anyone who returned living hostages to Israel.
"This year was a terrible year. It’s time to wrap things up, it’s time to move on," he said in the video that was posted online.
Referencing Netanyahu’s promise of immunity, Birnbaum said that in addition, "anyone who delivers from Gaza a living Israeli prisoner will receive $100,000 that would be paid either by cash or by bitcoin as you prefer."
He added that the offer would only be valid until midnight on Wednesday night and provided a phone number where he could be reached over Telegram or WhatsApp.
"Don’t wait. It’s time for you to take control of your life and build a future for yourself, for your family, and for your community. Do it today," he said.
Speaking to Channel 12 news on Sunday, Birnbaum said his offer stemmed from his desire to do more to help the hostages.
"For more than a year, I’ve been asking myself what I can do for these families, for the hostages, and now I see my chance, so I decided to seek out the hostage holders myself and make them an offer they cannot refuse," he told the outlet.
He added that in the first 12 hours since he had posted the video, he had already received more than 50 messages in Arabic.
Many of them, he added, were from people issuing threats, cursing him, or sharing pornographic content, which he said was expected, but some were potentially genuine and were being investigated by security services.
Birnbaum also said he had been approached by other people who wanted to help and that some had offered to add to his financial rewards, but he didn’t say who they were.
The offer came as leaflets purportedly dropped by Israel Defense Forces planes in southern Gaza on Saturday showed a picture of slain Hamas ..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... chief Yahya Sinwar, with the message "Hamas will no longer rule Gaza," and urged the release of the hostages, echoing language used by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a few days earlier.
"Yahya Sinwar has ruined your lives. He hid in a dark tunnel and was eliminated when he attempted to flee in panic. Whoever lays down their weapons and hands over the hostages will be allowed to leave and live in peace," read the Arabic leaflet, according to images that circulated online.
Though attributed to the IDF by Rooters and bearing the army’s logo in the corner, the leaflets were designed differently to previous notices from the Israeli military circulated in both Gaza and more recently in southern Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... , which are often also published on social media.
The leaflets also pointed Gazooks to a Telegram channel with no messages and two Israeli cellphone numbers, but didn’t specify who could supposedly be reached by calling or messaging them.
The messages’ wording was similar to a statement made by Netanyahu on Thursday after Sinwar was killed by Israeli soldiers operating in Rafah, in the south of Gaza near the Egyptian border, the previous day.
It is believed that 97 of the 251 hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 remain in Gaza, including the bodies of at least 34 confirmed dead by the IDF.
Hamas released 105 civilians during a weeklong truce in late November, and four hostages were released before that. Eight hostages have been rescued by troops alive, and the bodies of 37 hostages have also been recovered, including three mistakenly killed by the military as they tried to escape their captors.
Hamas is also holding two Israeli civilians who entered the Strip in 2014 and 2015, as well as the bodies of two IDF soldiers who were killed in 2014.
In the many months of failure to reach another hostage deal, Sinwar was often said to be the obstacle to an agreement that would see the remaining hostages returned, leading many to hope that his killing on Thursday could pave the way for a deal to be reached.
Others, however, were not so optimistic with some hostages’ relatives expressing their concerns that with Sinwar gone, there would be no one in Hamas to negotiate with.
Israeli reports on Saturday also said Israel was concerned that Hamas would murder hostages as Dire Revenge for Sinwar’s killing, and Netanyahu was said to have convened emergency security consultations at the IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv to discuss how to prevent this.
[IsraelTimes] Lebanese civilians in Hezbollah strongholds told to seek shelter as Israel strikes Al-Qard Al-Hassan, an unlicensed bank accused of helping terror group move money
Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s targeted branches of an association accused of financing the Hezbollah terror group late Sunday and early Monday, Lebanese state media reported, as Israel appeared to expand its campaign against the Iran-backed group and degrade its ability to fund operations.
At least 11 strikes were reported in Beirut’s southern suburbs, with more attacks tallied in southern Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... and the northeastern Beqaa Valley region, all Hezbollah strongholds, as panicked civilians tried to reach shelter.
Most of the strikes targeted branches of al-Qard al-Hassan, an unlicensed gray-market bank seen as one of the group’s main sources of cash.
Israel said earlier in the evening that it was launching a campaign against Hezbollah’s funding networks, warning civilians to get away from any al-Qard al-Hassan facility.
"We will strike many sites in the coming hours, and more sites overnight. In the coming days, we will reveal how Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... finances Hezbollah’s terror activity using civilian institutions and associations as a cover," IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said Sunday night, shortly before the sorties began.
Hundreds of Beirut residents fled their homes as explosions echoed across the Lebanese capital, including near Beirut’s international airport, which sits adjacent to the southern Beirut suburb known as Dahiyeh where Hezbollah is largely based.
Rooters witnesses saw dense plumes of black smoke billowing in the air after at least 10 blasts. Eyewitnesses, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said a building located in the Chiyah neighborhood in the southern suburbs of Beirut was reduced to rubble and the few people in the area had fled ahead of the earth-shattering kaboom, resulting in no casualties.
An unverified video online appeared to show a multi-story building collapse following a strike on it.
Panicked crowds clogged the streets and caused traffic jams in some parts of Beirut as they tried to get to neighborhoods thought to be safer, witnesses said.
Al-Qard al-Hassan, which is sanctioned by the US Treasury Department, has more than 30 branches across Lebanon, including 15 in densely populated parts of central Beirut and its suburbs.
There was no immediate statement from al-Qard al-Hassan, Hezbollah or the Lebanese government.
Asked by journalists whether the branches could be considered military targets, a senior Israeli intelligence official said: "The purpose of this strike is to target the ability of Hezbollah economic function both during the war but also afterwards to rebuild and to rearm ...on the day after."
The strikes came after Israel said it had hit dozens of targets during air raids on Lebanon earlier Sunday, as Hezbollah claimed numerous rocket strikes over the border and festivities with Israeli ground troops.
Around 200 rockets were fired at Israel over the course of Sunday, causing damage but no casualties, the Israel Defense Forces said.
Israel was also targeted by drones apparently fired from Iraq on Sunday and early Monday. The IDF said it downed one drone "from the east" over Syria. A second drone, claimed by Iran-backed militias in Iraq, was shot down after crossing into Israel and triggering warnings in a pair of northern Jordan Valley settlements in the West Bank.
About 70 projectiles were fired from Lebanon into Israel Sunday within a matter of minutes, the military said, adding it had intercepted some of them.
In many cases, rocket impacts sparked fires, including a large blaze near Rosh Pina, in the Safed area.
Hezbollah also claimed an attack against Haifa. AFPTV images showed puffs of smoke in the sky above the port of Haifa as air defenses intercepted rockets and a siren wailed.
The Israel Fire and Rescue Service reported that fragments from an interceptor missile fell on a residential building in the western part of Haifa, causing some damage to the two-story property but no injuries.

The Blue Helmets have repeatedly alleged targeting by Israeli troops, a charge rejected by Israel, which says the peacekeepers should evacuate to avoid being caught in the crossfire.
In a visit to northern Israel on Sunday, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told troops of the IDF’s 98th Division that the military was stepping up strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon, destroying places the group "planned to use as launchpads for attacks against Israel."
Earlier Sunday, the Israeli military said it hit the "command center of Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters" and underground weapons facility in south Beirut. The IDF said Sunday its strikes in southern Lebanon killed more than 65 Hezbollah operatives, including a number of prominent figures.
On Saturday night the military had similarly reported striking weapons stores and a "Hezbollah intelligence headquarters" in the area.
Hezbollah meanwhile claimed it had downed an Israeli Hermes 450 drone Sunday, without saying where. There was no comment from the IDF.
After suffering nearly a year of cross-border attacks, Israel launched a major offensive against Hezbollah in September with catastrophic consequences for the group, decimating its leadership and crippling much of its capabilities. The offensive is aimed at creating conditions that will allow tens of thousands of residents of northern Israel to safely return home, after Hezbollah began launching cross-border attacks on October 8, 2023 in support of the Gazoo

The attacks on northern Israel over the last year have resulted in the deaths of 29 civilians. In addition, 43 IDF soldiers and reservists have died in cross-border skirmishes and in the ensuing ground operation launched in southern Lebanon in late September.
Two soldiers have been killed in a drone attack from Iraq, and there have also been several attacks from Syria, without any injuries.
Since its beginning last month, the Israel-Hezbollah war has killed at least 1,470 people in Lebanon, according to an AFP tally of Lebanese health ministry figures. Many of them are thought to be Hezbollah operatives.
Hezbollah has named 516 members who have been killed by Israel during the ongoing skirmishes, mostly in Lebanon but some also in Syria. Another 94 operatives from other terror groups, a Lebanese soldier, and dozens of civilians have also been killed. These numbers have not been consistently updated since Israel began the campaign in September, but the IDF estimates that more than 1,500 Hezbollah operatives have been killed in the conflict.

[IsraelTimes] Polish police are investigating antisemitic signs that were spotted among banners that pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel students hung outside a Krakow university building that they have occupied for over six months, local media reported Thursday.
The Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper said the signs, including one reading “Jews to the gas,” were spotted Monday morning on a wall outside the Collegium Broscianum, which houses the sociology and philosophy departments of the Jagiellonian University, Poland’s oldest university, which has a long history of antisemitism.
A university spokesman apologized for the incident, saying the institution swiftly removed the signs and alerted the local police, who confirmed investigating the “incitement to hatred on national grounds.”
Academy for Palestine, the student group occupying the building, denied putting up the signs, calling them a “provocation,” the news outlet reported.
Citing a police spokesperson, Dziennik Polski reported that the anti-Israel encampment at the university’s Collegium Broscanium had cleared the premises on Tuesday per an agreement reached with university authorities on September 30.
In return, the university said it will try to avoid cooperating with research that could be used to develop Israel’s military, and will assess further cooperation with Israeli academia.
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says it foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons into Israel from Egypt on Saturday, using a drone.
Soldiers monitoring surveillance cameras spotted a drone that crossed over the border and the IDF dispatched troops of the Caracal Battalion to the scene.
The soldiers opened fire at the drone, knocking it down, the IDF says. The drone was found to be ferrying eight handguns and magazines, the military adds.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The former vice chairman of Target has issued a dire warning to American consumers and retailers ahead of the holiday shopping period.
Gerald Storch predicted that the seasonal shopping period between Thanksgiving and Christmas would be weighed down by economic and political uncertainties this year.
'It's very clear that consumers are running out of money,' he told Fox Business.
'They're increasingly stressed by inflation and the exhaustion of their pandemic-era savings... they're spending less than the growth of inflation,' he told the program on Thursday.
The former Target exec pointed out that a quirk in the calendar means Thanksgiving falls later than usual this year, meaning the shopping period will be shorter too presenting a tough climate for retailers.
[FoxNews] One witness appeared to undercut the USSS account of killing Crooks
The deadly shooting at former President Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania on July 13 was a "preventable" incident stemming from a lack of proper planning and communication between law enforcement agencies, according to a new report.
The House Task Force investigating the attempts on Trump’s life is releasing their interim findings on Monday, with a final report expected by Dec. 13.
"Although the findings in this report are preliminary, the information obtained during the first phase of the Task Force’s investigation clearly shows a lack of planning and coordination between the Secret Service and its law enforcement partners before the rally," the report said.
U.S. Secret Service (USSS) personnel at the event "did not give clear guidance" to state and local authorities about how to manage security outside of their hard perimeter, nor was there a central meeting between USSS and the law enforcement agencies supporting them the morning of the rally – two findings presented as key failures in the 51-page report.
"Put simply, the evidence obtained by the Task Force to date shows the tragic and shocking events of July 13 were preventable and should not have happened," the report said.
A would-be assassin’s bullet clipped Trump, Republicans' 2024 nominee, in the ear while he was addressing supporters at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, over the summer.
Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, opened fire on the rally from a rooftop just outside the event’s security perimeter, killing one attendee and injuring two others in addition to Trump.
The Monday report underscores the mountain of scrutiny that USSS has grappled with since the shooting, with lawmakers on both sides questioning how Crooks was able to fire eight shots before being killed by a single bullet to the head.
The task force found that Crooks "had been under scrutiny by the Secret Service’s state and local partners" for roughly 40 minutes before "information about a suspicious person" reached the USSS command post.
It said three local law enforcement officers noticed Crooks around 5 p.m. ET, each "independently" deducing his "behavior and manner were suspicious."
Back-and-forth ensued among local and state units, with communication made more difficult by a lack of a central command system with USSS.
The report later said that from around 5:38 p.m. to 5:51 p.m., "a series of calls and messages about Crooks’s description and movements reached the Secret Service."
The document also referenced prior testimony by a witness from the Butler Township Police Department whose colleague spotted Crooks on the roof just before he opened fire.
That witness said their colleague fell from the roof – which he was tenuously gripping – while shouting "THERE’S AN AR! AN AR! AN AR! A GUY WITH AN AR!"
"To date, the Task Force has not received any evidence to suggest that message reached the former President’s USSS detail prior to shots fired," the report said.
The report also quoted a witness from the Butler County Emergency Services United (ESU) whose account of shooting Crooks appears to undercut the USSS’s assertion that one of its snipers killed the gunman.
"He fired a single shot from a standing position at Crooks, who was in a prone position on the roof. Butler ESU Witness 5 told the Task Force that he believes his shot hit Crooks," the report said.
Crooks’ autopsy suggests he was only hit by a single bullet which proved fatal, the report noted. Former USSS Director Kimberly Cheatle previously said a USSS counter-sniper killed Crooks, and the report said "there is no evidence to date to the contrary."
"The autopsy found no evidence of an entry wound from a second bullet," the report said.
His bloodwork was also "positive for antimony, selenium, and lead," with the latter element potentially coming from Crooks’ time spent at a firing range, according to the report.
The report also points to logistical issues – particularly on the part of USSS – in the hours before the rally took place.
For instance, there were two command centers set up for the event, with a witness testifying that no one from the Butler Police Department was invited to the USSS’ hub.
Butler ESU Commander Edward Lenz also told Task Force staff that a sniper from his unit advised a USSS agent to pick up a radio communication device from their command center to be able to keep in contact with local and state authorities – but the agent never retrieved it.
The report said ESU snipers, who were not positioned to monitor the building Crooks fired from but were inside the complex, were also not informed of any plan to keep an eye on the facility itself.
"Local law enforcement told the Task Force that the Secret Service did not give any guidance to Butler ESU and Beaver ESU regarding the placement, role, and responsibilities of their snipers… they understood their assignment to be overwatch of the rally venue," the report said.
Local and state law enforcement held two briefings on the morning of the rally, but USSS "did not participate in either briefing," the report said.
USSS held its own briefing at 10 a.m. that day, but the report suggested local units were not invited.
Indeed, one Pennsylvania State police officer "was invited to the 1000 USSS briefing by one USSS agent, then subsequently asked to leave by another."
In the conclusion of its report, the Task Force indicated it would continue its efforts to interview officials and review new details as they emerge, and reaffirmed its goal to investigate both the July 13 incident and the Sept. 15 assassination attempt against Trump at his West Palm Beach Golf Course.
The Task Force was commissioned by House leaders after a unanimous vote in the chamber.
[IsraelTimes] With many in the north living in older homes without reinforced rooms, some residents spend small fortunes to construct fortified rooms as war with Hezbollah intensifies.
The houses in the older neighborhoods, built before the 1990s, are not fortified, and the residents — either founding members or young renters — rely on communal shelters. Most of them, however, either won’t or can’t make it to the shelters with just seconds of warning. Meanwhile, some kindergartens need fortification, but the state only funds those under the auspices of the Education Ministry.

[IsraelTimes] Seven Israelis have been arrested on suspicion of spying for Iran, having carried out hundreds of tasks for Tehran, prosecutors say.
The suspects are all Jewish residents of Haifa and the north and include a soldier who deserted the military, as well as two minors. The adult suspects are named as Azis Nisanov, Alexander Sadykov, Vyacheslav Gushchin, Yevgeny Yoffe and Yigal Nissan.
The suspects are accused of photographing and collecting information on IDF bases and facilities, including the Kirya defense headquarters in Tel Aviv and the Nevatim and Ramat David air bases, as well as Iron Dome battery sites.
The Nevatim base was targeted in both Iranian missile attacks this year, and Ramat David has been targeted by Hezbollah.
The suspects are also accused of receiving maps of strategic sites from their handlers, including of the Golani base hit in a deadly drone strike earlier this month.
Prosecutors say police and Shin Bet investigators found that the suspects carried out a series of different tasks for Iranian intelligence agencies, and were in contact with Iranian agents.
In return for their actions, the suspects were paid hundreds of thousands of dollars, some of it in cryptocurrency, investigators say.
According to prosecutors, some of the suspects have spied for Iran for two years, and all of them have carried out espionage activities since the start of the war.
The State Attorney’s Office says it is one of the most serious cases that has been investigated in recent years.
Prosecutors say they intend to file an indictment against the seven suspects for security offenses on Friday, and will request that they are held in detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
[Washington Examiner] The Biden-Harris administration announced on Monday sweeping changes to Obamacare rules to require the coverage of over-the-counter contraceptives, an effort billed as part of a broader effort to back abortion rights, which have been a central focus of Democrats in the 2024 election cycle.
The proposed rule from the Department of Health and Human Services, along with the Treasury and Labor Departments, would require that health insurance providers completely cover the costs of all birth control methods, including condoms, spermicide, and emergency contraception. Now I'm buying your rubbers.
[Axios] How Israel decimated Hamas and Hezbollah leadership in three months
One by one, Israel has tracked, targeted and eliminated the leadership of its greatest regional enemies in a sprawling decapitation operation with little precedent in modern history.
Why it matters: The killing of Oct. 7 mastermind Yahya Sinwar this past week capped an astonishing three-month streak in which a succession of top Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, as well as several Iranian generals, were taken out by Israel.
The series of killings, a year after the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attacks, has dealt a crippling blow to the so-called "axis of resistance" Iran has been building, arming and funding for years.
While the death of Sinwar marked the most important symbolic victory, it was distinct in that it was not a targeted assassination — and not the product of a sophisticated operation or pinpoint secret intelligence.
Driving the news: One of Israel's top goals since the start of the war has been to kill the leaders of Hamas and any militants involved in the Oct. 7 attacks.
A special unit inside Israel's domestic intelligence service, the Shin Bet, was formed to do exactly that.
U.S. intelligence services and special operation units worked with the Israelis for months to hunt down Sinwar and his deputies, investing a huge amount of intelligence and operational resources.
Time and time again, the forces got close to Sinwar inside the Hamas tunnels in southern Gaza — but time and time again, he managed to evade them.
When Sinwar was finally caught, it was pure coincidence.
The Israel Defense Forces unit that closed in on the house he was hiding in didn't know the identity of the militants with whom they were exchanging fire.
The 19-year-old soldier who killed the most wanted man in the Middle East only discovered his historic accomplishment in hindsight.
Flashback: As the fighting with Hezbollah on the northern border escalated in the days after Oct. 7, Israel also started targeting senior commanders of the Iranian-backed Shia militia.
Israel took out several Hamas and Hezbollah commanders in the first six months of the war. But a major breakthrough came in mid-July with the killing of the commander of Hamas' military wing, Mohammed Deif, in an airstrike in southern Gaza.
It was the first time Israel had managed to kill one of the architects of the Oct. 7 attacks.
Two weeks later, Israel conducted an airstrike in Beirut and killed Hezbollah's top military commander, Fuad Shukr — the biggest blow to the militia since Israel's assassination of its previous military commander, Imad Mughniyeh, in 2008.
Another Israeli assassination was carried out less than a day later — this time in Tehran, where a bomb exploded in an Iranian government guesthouse and killed Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.
In mid-September, Israel launched an unprecedented clandestine attack against Hezbollah — remotely detonating thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies.
The explosions left thousands of Hezbollah members killed or wounded, among them several senior officials.
Over the next few days, Israel carried out a series of unprecedented airstrikes that destroyed large parts of Hezbollah's rocket and missile arsenals and killed many of its senior and mid-level commanders, including its head of military operations, Ibrahim Aki, and a dozen of the elite Radwan Force's top commanders.
Zoom in: The attacks reached their height in late September with the assassination of Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah in his bunker with many of his senior deputies.
Among those killed were Hezbollah's southern front commander, Ali Karaki, and the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps commander in Lebanon, Brigadier Gen. Abbas Nilforoushan.
It took less than a week for the IDF to assassinate Nasrallah's successor, Hashim Safi al-Din, in an airstrike on Hezbollah's intelligence headquarters.
The militia's head of intelligence, Hussein Hazimah, known as "Mortada," was also in that bunker. Neither of their bodies has been found to this day.
The big picture: The series of assassinations and other military operations in the region helped restore much of Israel's deterrence, which was shattered on Oct. 7.
Israeli officials say most of Hamas' and Hezbollah's military leadership has been eliminated, and much of the political leadership is dead or on the run.
Still, while the decapitations have made it far more difficult for Hamas and Hezbollah to function, the groups are far from destroyed or willing to surrender.
The final bit is a record of Jake Sullivan fretting that the stupid Israelis have no exit plan, which is not the same as them not telling him their thinking.
[Bee] DETROIT, MI — Sources within the fundraising wing of the Trump campaign report that they recently raised several million dollars in fewer than 12 hours after Trump introduced the new catchphrase "How much would you pay not to hear Kamala talk?"
According to Doug Jameson, a Trump staffer, the phrase has been incredibly effective at getting average Americans to cough up some cash for Trump. "As it turns out, people are really, really motivated by the prospect of not having to listen to Kamala Harris for the next four years," Jameson said. "I can't believe we didn't think of this earlier — the donations just keep rolling in."
According to Trump, the phrase is one of the best catchphrases he's ever come up with.
"I was listening to Kamala talk, and it was so painful, and I wondered how much money I would pay to not have to listen to her," said Trump. "And I realized I would pay a lot of money, so much money. And so I had maybe the best idea anyone has ever had, that we should ask everyone to just donate the amount they would pay to not have to hear her talk ever again. Let me tell you folks, the dollars, they are coming in so fast, it's so fabulous. Very good. So much winning!"
At publishing time, the Trump campaign had doubled the amount of donations coming in after adding another catchphrase: "How much would you pay to not have to watch Tim Walz wave for the next four years?"

[Stars & Stripes] INDOW ROCK, Ariz. — John Kinsel Sr., one of the last remaining Navajo Code Talkers who transmitted messages during World War II based on the tribe’s native language, has died. He was 107. Navajo Nation officials in Window Rock announced Kinsel’s death on Saturday. Tribal President Buu Nygren has ordered all flags on the reservation to be flown at half-staff until Oct. 27 at sunset to honor Kinsel.
"Mr. Kinsel was a Marine who bravely and selflessly fought for all of us in the most terrifying circumstances with the greatest responsibility as a Navajo Code Talker," Nygren said in a statement Sunday. With Kinsel’s death, only two original Navajo Code Talkers are still alive: Former Navajo Chairman Peter MacDonald and Thomas H. Begay.

Might this be the surprise the Dems are planning to interrupt voting? Suspicious timing...

I don’t know how secret it is — I searched Directive 5240.01, and the first thing that popped up was a PDF of the thing, dated September 27, 2024. See here.
The second item is a/the same thing dated August 27, 2007. The third is a factcheck on the subject from a blogger who claims to have triggered the outcry. Then the DOD manual on the subject from 2016.
I started reading the first link, which rapidly made my eyes cross as badly as insurance information or investment prospectuses. How you military types get from something like that to actually fighting a war is beyond me. Still, if some of you would be so kind as to review the thing in comparison to previous versions and report back, we’ll know if this is actually worth fussing about.

The Insurrection Act has been on the books since the beginning of the old republic. Nothing new here.
However, your military is still small compared to the oversize of the armed public (as the Founders intended). They can only control where they have footprints.

If the demoncrats tried, most of the military is still right leaning and heavily supports Trump. Most likely they would turn their guns on the government as it would be an unlawful order.

[BBC] It's Thursday night in the White Swan where, in one corner, songs by Cliff Richard, Derek and the Dominoes and Rick Astley are among those being belted out through the speaker - and by some of the less sober punters.
At the other, quieter end - huddled around a table of half-full glasses of Stones beer and alcohol-free Guinness - are Paul Haynes, Bill Munden, Ken King, Peter Thirlwall, Brian Ayres and Dick Cotton.
None of them can imagine being anywhere else in the world right now, as Thursday night has been pub night every week for the last 56 years.
The group, all now in their early eighties, reckon they've scarcely missed two dozen meet-ups since 1968.

Rye stated "The responsibility of saving democracy should be on the largest demographic in this country that is white men and white women."
[ZH] On Sunday Russia's defense ministry (MoD) announced that over 100 Ukrainian drones were downed over several regions of Russia overnight, as Kiev's cross-border drone operations have persisted and even been ramped up. Some apparently made it through, however.
The military and its anti-air defense systems had thwarted "an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using an aircraft-type UAV against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation," the ministry said.
Most of the inbound drones were intercepted over the Kursk region, scene of Ukraine's cross-border ground assault which has been unfolding since August.
In particular the MoD tallied that it intercepted or destroyed 110 UAVs, and nearly half of these were downed over Kursk not far from the border.
Dozens of other drones were intercepted over Lipetsk Region, and Nizhny Novgoro and Oryol Regions. One was also downed near Moscow.
The intended targets of the Saturday night attacks included more energy infrastructure and military sites and likely airports.
But there are reports that some of the drones made it through Russian defenses, including on Russia's "largest explosives factory". Located in Nizhny Novgorod, the sprawling state-owned complex appears to have been hit:
A source in Ukraine's SBU security service told Newsweek that drones belonging to the agency, as well as Kyiv's special operations forces and its GUR military intelligence arm, "struck the Sverdlov plant" in the city of Dzerzhinsk overnight, just west of the regional capital in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region.
Nizhny Novgorod Regional Governor Gleb Nikitin said on Sunday that air defenses and electronic warfare systems had repelled a drone attack around the "industrial zone" in Dzerzhinsk. He did not specify the target of the attack.
Several Russian Telegram channels, often used as sources of information in lieu of official statements, reported that Ukraine had targeted the Sverdlov explosives, chemicals and ammunition factory in Dzerzhinsk.

Yep, that's how a surged attack works. Give 'em lotsa targets to shoot at, they can't get 'em all.
You'll note the target got hit.

[JustTheNews] Many Americans assume FEMA is only focused on helping respond to disaster, but they are wrong.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is taking fire for its increased focus on migrants, and diversity, equity and inclusion polices while its response to recent hurricanes is under scrutiny.
Many Americans assume FEMA is only focused on helping respond to disasters, but a closer look at FEMA’s recent internal documents, spending, and public actions shows that FEMA has broadened its focus to handling the flow of migrants into the U.S. and attempting to double down on DEI initiatives on gender, sexuality and race.
FEMA’s 2022-2026 strategic plan, an overarching document created by agencies to lay out their priorities, named its first goal not as disaster relief, but instead diversity, equity and inclusion.
In its first goal, the plan promised to “Instill equity as a foundation of emergency management.”
It’s second named priority is to “lead whole of Community in climate resilience.”
FEMA’s “readiness” comes in as the third goal in the plan.
“Diversity, equity, and inclusion cannot be optional; they must be core components of how the agency conducts itself internally and executes its mission,” the plan reads.
FEMA makes clear in its plan that equity, which includes racial identity, will be taken into consideration when distributing aid, highlighting that there should be “equitable and fair distribution of assistance to all those affected – especially those disproportionally impacted."
The “especially” signifies a belief in the DEI community that certain groups, including transgender people or minorities, suffer more from natural disasters.
FEMA has also hired Montage Marketing Group to “elevate diversity and engage employees in creating an inclusive workplace.”
Those efforts included kicking off an “Inclusive Diversity Council” and promoting Transgender Day of Remembrance.
FEMA’s drift in focus took center stage after U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told reporters during the agency's response to Hurricane Helene, which devastated portions of North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia, that while FEMA had enough funds to respond to deadly Hurricane Milton, it may not have enough to finish this hurricane season.
“We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have,” Mayorkas told reporters at the time. “We are expecting another hurricane hitting. FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.”
His comments come after reporting showed that in April of this year, FEMA announced $640 million in new funding, $300 million of which was for helping immigrants settle in the U.S. The other $340 million of that funding was set aside to be awarded as grants to cities also for migrants.

Then it doesn't need to have a job. Fire everyone, hire new leaders from things like the Cajun Navy and the other people who get SH** DONE. We need a new law, any government employee failing to do the job they are paid not only is fired, but a decade in prison and a $250,000,000 fine to recoup any money spent on them to boot. They are barred from ANY future employment by any government or government paid agency and forever loss of ALL Clearances.
[Breitbart] According to a source within CBP, flights carrying 153 mostly Special Interest Aliens (SIA) from San Diego, California, arrived in Laredo, Texas. Most will be processed and released to non-government charity shelters across the Lone Star state. The source said the migrants flown into Texas on Immigration and Customs Enforcement aircraft will be released to a local Catholic Charities shelter in Laredo once processed.
The migrants will likely be moved to the city of San Antonio’s Migrant Resource Center, where many will stay at the FEMA-reimbursed shelter while shelter staff members make commercial air travel arrangements for them. Once the arrangements are completed, the source says the group of mostly Special Interest Aliens will likely fly to other parts of the United States.
The source says the ICE flight manifests showed 90 Special Interest Aliens arrived at a processing center in Laredo last week. The SIAs on the flight included 51 migrants from Turkey, 20 from China, nine from Jordan, four from Egypt, two from Uzbekistan, two from Bangladesh, and one each from Somalia and Pakistan. The flight also carried 35 Vietnamese nationals, 12 Indian nationals, two Nepalese citizens, and one each from Cameroon, Jamaica, and Costa Rica, countries not considered Special Interest Countries by the Department of Justice.
The source, not authorized to speak to the media, told Breitbart Texas the migrant processing is an arduously slow task due to the language barriers that require the use of telephonic interpreters. The source says there has been a surge in Special Interest Aliens encountered at several locations across the southwest border. As reported by Breitbart Texas, the small border city of Eagle Pass, Texas, a mere 120 miles north of Laredo, has recently seen an increase in the arrest of migrants from countries on the DOJ list of Special Interest Countries.
According to the source, many of the migrants received from California were single adult males and females. The source also said it is concerning that Texas is already experiencing more special interest migrants.
“We hope that this is Kamala Harris’ last gift to the Border Patrol in Texas, but I fear there will be more to come between now and November,” the source emphasized.
Many of the migrants considered Special Interest Aliens are crossing the border illegally and hail from countries subject to travel warnings by the U.S. State Department due to terrorism. Regardless, the source says, “Most will be released shortly unless we uncover significant intelligence indicating they pose a threat to the United States. That is unlikely.”
According to the source, the migrants flown to Texas from California who are not considered Special Interest Aliens will also likely be released. For some, the lack of strong diplomatic relations with their home countries under the Biden-Harris administration will make a return of the migrants difficult, if not impossible. Complicating the matter for migrants who can be returned is the lack of necessary resources to conduct the removals.
“When you spend your time flying migrants on ICE aircraft inside the United States and not back to their home country, you just don’t have the ICE air platforms available to remove them to countries that will accept the returns,” the source lamented.
An exclusive Breitbart Texas report revealed that more than 61,000 Special Interest Aliens were encountered by the Border Patrol in fiscal year 2023. The number of migrants from Special Interest countries climbed by more than 140 percent from the previous fiscal year, when more than 25,500 were encountered along the southwest border. More than 86,000 Special Interest Aliens have illegally entered the United States in the previous two years.
According to a 2019 DHS fact sheet, the term “Significant Interest Alien” is defined as follows:
Generally, an SIA is a non-U.S. person who, based on an analysis of travel patterns, potentially poses a national security risk to the United States or its interests. Often such individuals or groups are employing travel patterns known or evaluated to possibly have a nexus to terrorism. DHS analysis includes an examination of travel patterns, points of origin, and/or travel segments that are tied to current assessments of national and international threat environments.
This does not mean that all SIAs are “terrorists,” but rather that the travel and behavior of such individuals indicates a possible nexus to nefarious activity (including terrorism) and, at a minimum, provides indicators that necessitate heightened screening and further investigation. The term SIA does not indicate any specific derogatory information about the individual – and DHS has never indicated that the SIA designation means more than that.

[GEO.TV] A total of 87 people were killed or missing under the rubble after an Israeli attack on Saturday on northern Gaza's town of Beit Lahiya, the Palestinian health ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
More than 40 others were injured, it added.
The Israeli military said they were checking the report.
[IsraelTimes] Military says it hit terror target using precision munitions, denounces Palestinian reports that 73 killed as Hamas propaganda
An Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... in the northern Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... city of Beit Lahiya on Saturday night hit a Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... target using precision munitions, the military said, rejecting Paleostinian reports that as many as 73 people were killed.
In a statement on the overnight strike, the military said: "The numbers published by the Gaza information office — which acts as a communications arm of Hamas — are exaggerated."
Those numbers "do not line up with the information available to the IDF, the precision munitions used, and the precise damage done to a terror target, of the Hamas terror organization," it said.
The IDF called on the media to "be careful with the information published by Hamas officials," noting that "this is an active combat zone."
"The IDF operates in a precise and targeted manner and does everything it can to avoid attacking uninvolved civilians," the statement concluded.
The statement — which did not provide further information about the strike — was referring to claims by the enclave’s civil defense agency front man that "civil defense crews recovered 73 deaders and a large number of maimed as a result of the Israeli air force targeting a residential area."
The IDF, meanwhile, said it continued to operate in northern, central and southern parts of Gaza.
"The troops eliminated dozens of gunnies during close-quarter encounters on the ground and aerial strikes" across Gaza, it said.
WAFA, the Paleostinian Authority news agency, said Israeli strikes Sunday killed seven people — including a child — in Beit Lahiya, two people near Gaza City and four people near Rafah, in the Strip’s south. The army did not specifically comment on those reports.
Israel has been at war with the Hamas terror group in Gaza since October 7, 2023, when thousands of Hamas-led gunnies invaded southern Israel, killing some 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages.
The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says more than 42,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the fighting so far, though the toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel said it had killed some 17,000 combatants in battle as of August, in addition to 1,000 gunnies killed inside Israel on October 7.
Israel has said it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stresses that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas including homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques.
Israel’s toll in the ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza and in military operations along the border with the Strip stands at 357.
[GEO.TV] Gunmen in Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... (IIOJK) raked a construction site work camp with bullets, killing seven people and wounding several others, Indian media reported Monday.
The attack on Sunday is one of the worst this year targeting civilians.
The contested territory's chief minister, Omar Abdullah, called the attack late Sunday "dastardly and cowardly", while India's interior minister Amit Shah vowed those responsible would face the "harshest" response.
Attackers targeted workers from outside the Himalayan region, who were reported to be building a tunnel connecting IIOJK with the far northern Ladakh region, AFP reported.
Among the seven killed was a doctor, the Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency reported on Monday, adding several others were maimed.
Abdullah, who was sworn in as the region's chief minister on Wednesday after its first local elections for a decade, said he strongly condemned the attack on "non-local labourers".
Soon after the attack, Abdullah confirmed two people had been killed but had warned there were also "a number of injured labourers, both local and non-local".
Shah called the killings "a despicable act of cowardice", in a statement.
"Those involved in this heinous act will not be spared, and will face the harshest response from our security forces," Shah said.
The attack took place Gagangir in Sonamarg region, where Nitin Gadkari, India's minister of roads said the "innocent labourers" had been working on a "vital infrastructure project".
Gunmen fired automatic weapons at the camp from forested hills around, Indian newspapers reported.
Nine Indian Hindu pilgrims were killed and dozens more maimed in June when a gunman opened fire on a bus carrying them from a shrine in Reasi district.

[GEO.TV] Two fresh cases of the wild polio ...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set. Currently the disease is only found in Pakistain and Afghanistain... virus type-1 (WPV1) have been confirmed in Sindh, raising the total number of countrywide cases to 39 so far in 2024, said the National Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).
The emergence of the new cases shows the extent of deterioration with regards to the poliovirus crisis in Pakistain.
Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI) officials, on Sunday, told The News that the two new victims are kids — a boy from Mirpurkhas and a girl from Sanghar. Both are the first known instances of the disease in their respective areas this year.
According to the PEI officials in Islamabad, Sindh is experiencing an increase in virus transmission, particularly after multiple environmental samples from Mirpurkhas tested positive for WPV1 earlier this year. After Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... recorded 20 cases, Sindh has now confirmed 12, while five have been diagnosed in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and one each in Punjab ...1. Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2. A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3. A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots
.... and Islamabad.
At least three children have also died due to the disease this year in Pakistain, according to National EOC sources. These victims belonged to Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...

The EOC sources said the child, Abdullah, who died of poliovirus hailed from Karachi's Bin Qasim Town in the Malir district. While the other two children belonged to Balochistan's Killa Saifullah and Quetta.

Where on earth did he get the idea that Tehran is safe??
[NAHARNET] Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem ... the Grand Vizier of the Hezbullies... has been residing in Tehran after fleeing Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... on an Iranian plane over two weeks ago, the UAE-based Erem News outlet reported, quoting an anonymous Iranian source.
Qassem reportedly left Beirut on October 5 on the aircraft used by Tehran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi for a state visit to Lebanon and Syria. His transfer was ordered by top leaders of the Islamic Theocratic Republic for fear of liquidation by Israel, the source said
Qassem has delivered three speeches since the death of Hezbollah leader Sayyed ...Arabic term meaning your/his lordship. Groveling in His Exalted Presence is encouraged... His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah ...The late, lamented satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...> . While the first was recorded in Beirut, the second and third were delivered in Tehran, the source said.

He'd be safer in D.C.
Also he could get a lucrative job requiring top security clearance in the Biden/Harris administration.

Very violent "protests" in Berlin today. Several police officers were brutally attacked (from behind).
There's are four-letter-word for these Keffiyeh thugs:
RAUS!
And yes, release the dogs.

I wanna see a return of the German police that all the anti-nuke protestors complained about in the 80's. The ones that after their protest got broken up, decided to hold an anti-police brutality protest and in the words of the news anchor, "The West German police went out to break some heads."
[NY Post] And Kamala still can't provide proof: coworkers, location, or W-2. Nicely done
Wearing an apron and a red tie, the former president served up some fries and political shade against his rival during a behind-the-counter stint at McDonald’s Sunday, which drew a monster crowd to the Feasterville-Trevose, Pa. fast food restaurant.
McDonald’s has long been one of Trump’s favorite chains, but his visit to the Golden Arches Sunday doubled as an effort to re-up his doubts over Vice President Kamala Harris’ claims that she worked there in the 1980s.
Well over a thousand MAGA-Donald’s faithful lined Street Road in Lower Southampton Township in an effort to meet Trump and say “hail to the chef” at the McDonald’s in critical Bucks County, outside Philadelphia.
Kamala Harris, 60, has repeatedly maintained that she worked at the fast food joint while studying for undergrad and used the tale to highlight her middle-class roots, seeking to juxtapose it with her billionaire foe.
Her campaign has specified that she worked the cash register, fry station and ice cream machine at a McDonald’s on Central Avenue in Alameda, California, in 1983, during the summer between her freshman and sophomore year at Howard University.
“Part of the reason I even talk about having worked at McDonald’s is because there are people who work at McDonald’s in our country who are trying to raise a family,” Harris told MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle last month. “I worked there as a student.”
“I think part of the difference between me and my opponent includes our perspective on the needs of the American people and what our responsibility, then, is to meet those needs.”
She has no idea how hard he worked for his father managing rental properties as a kid.
Trump and his allies have harped on how her 1987 resume made no mention of her purported stint at McDonald’s as well as the overall lack of proof that she did. Her campaign has shot back, accusing him of making a baseless allegation.
Gromble+Dribble4342 gives us a links to ABC News’ take on the story, which drones on rather about how President Trump provides no evidence for his misinformed claims, and The Hill, which is skeptical of the political stunt.

You miss the point, as was once said here, "Trump isn't our candidate, he's our murder weapon" People are tired of the government being a bunch of idiots pissing on us and saying we should be grateful for the rain.
No, more like you go to war with the army you have. Trump is about the only candidate that the people were given who wasn't a member of the UniParty. Need a public reading of the Declaration of Independence cause we're long beyond the point those authors were willing to put up with.
[ABCnews] Two crew members who were missing following the crash of a fighter jet in mountainous terrain in Washington state during a routine training flight have been declared dead, the U.S. Navy said Sunday.
The EA-18G Growler jet from the Electronic Attack Squadron crashed east of Mount Rainier on Tuesday afternoon, according to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Search teams, including a U.S. Navy MH-60S helicopter, launched from the air station to try to find the crew and crash site.
Army Special Forces soldiers trained in mountaineering, high-angle rescue and technical communications were brought in to reach the wreckage, which was located Wednesday by an aerial crew resting at about 6,000 feet (1,828 meters) in a remote, steep and heavily wooded area east of Mount Rainier, officials said.
The aviators' names won’t be released until a day after their next of kin have been notified, the Navy said in a statement Sunday, adding that search and rescue efforts have shifted into a long-term salvage and recovery operation as the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
“It is with a heavy heart that we share the loss of two beloved Zappers,” said Cmdr. Timothy Warburton, commanding officer of the aviators’ Electronic Attack Squadron. “Our priority right now is taking care of the families of our fallen aviators. ... We are grateful for the ongoing teamwork to safely recover the deceased.”
Locating the missing crew members “as quickly and as safely as possible” had been top priority, Capt. David Ganci, commander, Electronic Attack Wing, U.S. Pacific Fleet, said Thursday.
The EA-18G Growler is similar to the F/A-18F Super Hornet and includes sophisticated electronic warfare devices. Most of the Growler squadrons are based at Whidbey Island. One squadron is based at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan.
The “Zappers” were recently deployed on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower.
The search took place near Mount Rainier, a towering active volcano that is blanketed in snowfields and glaciers year-round.
The first production of the Growler was delivered to Whidbey Island in 2008. In the past 15 years, the Growler has operated around the globe supporting major actions, the Navy said. The plane seats a pilot in front and an electronics operator behind them.
“The EA-18G Growler aircraft we fly represents the most advanced technology in airborne Electronic Attack and stands as the Navy’s first line of defense in hostile environments,” the Navy said on its website. Each aircraft costs about $67 million.
Military aircraft training exercises can be dangerous and sometimes result in crashes, injuries and deaths.
In May, an F-35 fighter jet on its way from Texas to Edwards Air Force Base near Los Angeles crashed after the pilot stopped to refuel in New Mexico. The pilot was the only person on board in that case and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Last year, eight U.S. Air Force special Operations Command service members were killed when a CV-22B Osprey aircraft they were flying in crashed off the coast of Japan.

[ColonelCassad] We are publishing declassified FBI documents that shed light on the role of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn in the confrontation between the USSR and the West. These materials show how American intelligence agencies monitored the writer’s life after his expulsion from the Soviet Union in 1974.
After Solzhenitsyn left the Soviet Union, he became an instrument in the fight against communism in the West. His works, such as The Gulag Archipelago and Cancer Ward, were actively published in the West, and the royalties from these books reached an impressive sum of six million dollars. These funds came thanks to Western publishers who saw his work as a powerful tool for undermining Soviet ideology.
The FBI received information about Solzhenitsyn’s movements through confidential sources. For example, the agency monitored his plans to visit Vermont in 1976 to participate in a public speech. The FBI was interested in ensuring Solzhenitsyn's safety, fearing the possible risks associated with his popularity and anti-Soviet statements. Although there were no direct threats to his life, Solzhenitsyn was always under close scrutiny, which underlines his political importance in the Cold War.
The FBI documents also allow us to conclude that the West used Solzhenitsyn as a powerful ideological weapon against the Soviet Union. His speeches, such as the one in Taiwan in 1982, where he emphasized the importance of resisting communism and cited Taiwan as an example of a successful fight against totalitarianism, were widely used to strengthen anti-Soviet sentiments in the international community.
Declassified FBI documents show that Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was more than just a writer and critic of the Soviet regime. He became an important figure in the global political game, where the West used him to undermine the USSR.
Which has been said for many years.Actually, Bushin laid all this out back in the ‘90s.

[Regnum] At least three people were killed and eight more were injured when unknown gunmen opened fire on a crowd of several hundred people celebrating the victory of a team of former school graduates in a football game in the US state of Mississippi. This was reported on October 19 by the Associated Press.
The incident occurred early in the morning of October 19, a few kilometers from the city of Lexington in Holmes County. According to preliminary information, two unknown people opened fire on a crowd of 200 to 300 people. The crowd was celebrating the victory of the school's senior football team. The event took place in an open area several hours after the end of the game.
As local Sheriff Willie March said, the shooting was preceded by a fight between some men at the celebration, the reasons for the conflict are unknown. At the sound of gunshots, people became scared, began to run away, a crush arose, preventing them from quickly leaving the scene of the shooting. As a result of the incident, three people died, two of them were 19 years old, the third was 25 years old.
Eight victims were airlifted to nearby hospitals. The shooters are being sought, an investigation has been launched, and the circumstances of the tragedy are being established.
An unnamed spokesman for the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation explained that the shooters' motives remain unknown. It is noted that shootings have become more frequent in Holmes County, and the local sheriff doubts that the young men could be fighting over territory or drugs.
Earlier, Regnum News Agency reported that on the evening of October 12, a shootout occurred near the state university in Nashville (Tennessee, USA), as a result of which one person died and nine were injured. The incident occurred after a party, and the shooting began while returning home. One of the victims was a child.
In September, an 11-year-old teenager was arrested in the US state of Florida after he made threats to commit mass murder at several schools. After his arrest, the teenager called his threats a joke, but police officers searched his home. As a result of the search, airsoft rifles and pistols, dummy ammunition, and several bladed weapons were seized from the teenager.

The sheriff has identified the three victims as 25-year-old Martel Gibson, 19-year-old Shundra Chestnut, and 19-year-old John Jenkins. Youts
Deputies said several other victims injured were airlifted to local area hospitals.

According to investigators, in 2022, Rostov Region resident Ramil Yakubov contacted his brother, who lives abroad and is involved in the activities of the terrorist organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don found Ramil Yakubov guilty of financing terrorism and sentenced him to 10 years and six months of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony, Bloknot Rostov-on-Don reported tonight, citing the court's press service.

[Korrespondent] 21:23 Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that he had spoken to Putin on the phone for the first time in two and a half years and thanked him "for providing Serbia with sufficient gas this winter." He also "expressed hope, as he did two and a half years ago, that Serbia will not impose sanctions against the Russian Federation."
21:10 Ukraine has clear information that people are being supplied to Russia from North Korea - "and these are no longer just workers for production, but also military personnel," Zelensky said in an evening video address. "In fact, this is the entry of another state into the war against Ukraine... If the world remains silent now and if we have to face soldiers from North Korea at the front as constantly as we defend ourselves from "shahids," then this will definitely not benefit anyone in the world and will only prolong this war. A war that must be ended fairly and as soon as possible," the president emphasized.
The head of state also noted that this week Kyiv received support from partners in the "victory plan" - in particular, from France, Lithuania and other EU allies. "There are very good signals from the United States - we hear the rhetoric, its changes. We are expecting the arrival of the team from Washington to work on the points of the victory plan at all working levels," Zelensky added.
20:18 France will transfer another 12 Caesar self-propelled guns to Ukraine at the expense of Russian assets, Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said. According to him, France "returned" 300 million euros in interest from frozen assets to buy military equipment for Ukraine at the end of the year. Lecornu also noted that inviting Ukraine to NATO depends on the next US administration: "Everything depends on which administration will be in the White House. In principle, we in France are not against it. But we also have to be innovators."
18:32 An examination of the North Korean KN-23/24 missile shot down in Ukraine has revealed numerous recently manufactured Western components, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said: "Putin and Kim still have access to them. We call on our allies to give a decisive response, to strengthen sanctions and export controls, to strengthen our air shield."
17:11 The IMF forecasts in its report that the war in Ukraine will last until the end of 2025 at best. "The war is expected to continue over the next year, creating pressure on rising costs and opening up additional financing needs," the document says. At the same time, experts are confident that Ukraine will be able to maintain basic economic growth during this period.
"In line with the opinion of security experts and government budget planning, the program now envisages a gradual end to the war in the last quarter of 2025 in the baseline scenario and by mid-2026 in the negative scenario," the report says.
16:29 South Korean satellite records movement of North Korean troops to Russia. South Korea's National Intelligence Service reported that North Korea has decided to send about 12,000 troops to Russia to support its war against Ukraine and has already deployed 1,500 special forces in Vladivostok.
In addition, South Korean intelligence identified a North Korean missile engineer who was stationed at Russian positions near the front line in eastern Ukraine and observed missile launches into Ukrainian territory. The program found a more than 80% match between the man in the photo from Ukraine and the engineer who accompanied Kim Jong-un on an inspection of a weapons factory last August.

[Regnum] A woman and three men were injured in an attack by a knife-wielding assailant in northwestern Germany. This was reported on October 19 by the Peiner Allgemeine Zeitung (PAZ) newspaper.
The incident occurred on the evening of October 19 in the town of Fahlstedt in the federal state of Lower Saxony. It is specified that a woman aged 78 and three men aged 18, 66 and 73 were injured. All four received serious injuries of varying severity and required urgent hospitalization. Several ambulances and a rescue helicopter arrived at the scene.
The police officers who arrived at the scene detained the suspect, a 32-year-old man, who offered no resistance. He was taken to the police station. The man's motives for the act remain unknown; he had not previously come to the attention of law enforcement agencies and has no criminal record.
Earlier, Regnum reported that in Germany at the end of August, a high-profile attack by a Syrian citizen armed with a knife on people during a festival in Solingen took place. As a result of the attack, three people were killed and eight were injured. The incident sparked serious debates in society on the topic of migration and the tightening of migration policy.
All four people had swept the walkway on Grünen Allee with a broom or were in their front gardens when they were suddenly attacked indiscriminately by the Vallstedter (32) with a knife. Both the perpetrator and the victims are Germans. All those involved - victims and alleged perpetrators - live in the same house, as police spokesman Malte Jansen confirmed.
"They knew each other, but it was not an act of relationship," says a family member of one of the victims.
The 32-year-old was questioned at the Peiner police station. Jansen says: "After initial interrogations, there are indications that the suspect could have a mental illness.
So possibly nuts versus Sudden Jihad Syndrome — or possibly both. Let us together await enlightenment.
The investigation into the background is ongoing.” The Vallstedter was presented to a judge at the competent Braunschweig district court on Sunday to decide whether he will be in pre-trial detention. At the request of the Braunschweig Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect was subsequently detained and taken to a prison.
According to the police spokesman, the 32-year-old "was not conspicuous before and had no criminal record".
Local mayor Hans-Jürgen Mintel did not know the alleged perpetrator either. Therefore, he could not say whether the 32-year-old, who is said to have committed the crime, has psychological problems. He only knows that the alleged perpetrator lived very withdrawn. "I once had a beer with one of the victims," he then pushes.

[Breitbart] As a new surge at the border in the small town of Eagle Pass begins to grow, U.S. Customs and Border Protection detention buses are delivering migrants daily in larger numbers to a non-government shelter. Breitbart Texas drone footage shows one bus delivering nearly 50 migrants to the Mission Border Hope shelter on Friday. The group of migrants consisted of several family units and single adult migrants.
The shelter is currently housed in a new location, a 20,000-square-foot building that received up to 1,000 migrants or more from CBP daily during its peak operation in September and December of 2023. According to a source within CBP who is familiar with the daily migrant releases and operation of the shelter, more than 250,000 migrants have been released to the shelter during its operation.
The United Methodist Church operates the shelter using Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funds to provide food, shelter, and transportation away from the border for the migrants. According to the U.S. Department of Treasury, more than $13 million of FEMA Shelter and Services program funds have been obligated for use by the Mission Border Hope shelter in Eagle Pass under the Biden-Harris administration.
As reported by Breitbart Texas, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has bused more than 100,000 migrants from this shelter and others in Texas border cities to Washington D.C., New York City, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. On Friday, some migrants were being picked up by private vehicles outside the shelter while others were loaded on commercial conveyances for transportation to another shelter located in San Antonio, Texas. The network of federally funded shelters operates to move the migrants to other cities across the United States.
FEMA’s shelter and services program obligated more than $1 billion in federal funds in Fiscal Years 2023 and 2024 to reimburse the network of shelters across the United States for expenses related to migrants released at the southwest border.
As election day nears, the source within CBP, not authorized to speak to the media, says a noticeable increase in migrants, including Special Interest Aliens and unaccompanied migrant children, has appeared in the small border town in recent weeks. As reported by Breitbart Texas, a resurgence of large single migrant groups crossing into Eagle Pass occurred in late September.
In the previous seven days, nearly 160 unaccompanied migrant children were sent across the border into Eagle Pass by their parents or other family members. The unaccompanied migrant children, most between the ages of 5-17, hailed from several Central and South American countries, according to the source within Customs and Border Protection. On Wednesday, Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol troopers interdicted 57 unaccompanied migrant children in a single group of more than two hundred migrants fording the river.
As reported by Breitbart Texas, the large groups crossing almost daily into the small Texas border town have included dozens of Special Interest Aliens from across the globe. The groups crossing into the city have been found to contain migrants from Iran, Egypt, Turkey, and several Western African countries.
The CBP source says the migrant increases are likely to continue and are expected to rise as the election grows closer.
“We are seeing an increase in the Special Interest Aliens and unaccompanied children,” the source stated. “These are demographics we have no way of returning. Absent any derogatory information discovered during processing, they will be released.” the source says.
According to CBP, nearly 250,000 migrant apprehensions have occurred in the Del Rio Sector of the Border Patrol. According to the source, almost 80 percent of all apprehensions within the sector occur within the city of Eagle Pass.
[IsraelNationalNews] International Criminal Court (ICC) Chief Prosecutor Karim Kahn,
…more formally Karim Asad Ahmad Khan KC, thenkyooveddymuch, whose place of birth depends on who is telling the story…
who is seeking arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, has been accused of harassing a female co-worker, the Daily Mail reported.
…even though his current wife is a datin, a Malaysian duchess, as well as a lawyer in her own right? The man plays with fire!
The Mail's investigation found that the accusations were made in the weeks before Khan announced that he was seeking to arrest Israel's leaders. A female ICC official told a colleague of the harassment she allegedly was subjected to, and the colleague reported the incident to the ICC's senior managers.
The Independent Oversight Mechanism (IOM) questioned the woman, who decided not to file a formal complaint against Khan. The IOM did not open a full investigation and made several recommendations to "safeguard everyone's rights."
Khan denied the report, saying that he and the ICC are facing "a wide range of attacks and threats."
He claimed, "I absolutely can confirm there is no truth to suggestions of misconduct."
Paivi Kaukoranta, President of the Assembly of States Parties, the group that oversees the ICC, confirmed in a statement that the accusations were made by a co-worker against Khan.
'Following the conversation with the alleged victim, the IOM was not in a position to proceed with an investigation at that stage," Kaukoranta said. "The Court has a zero-tolerance policy towards prohibited conduct, such as harassment, including sexual harassment, discrimination and abuse of authority. Any reports of misconduct are taken very seriously, with full respect for the presumption of innocence, as well as the duty of care towards ICC personnel." Well, at least, Karim isn't after children like his brother.

[JustTheNews] The Biden-Harris administration laid out a clean hydrogen roadmap in June 2023, which included $9.5 billion in funding from the 2021 infrastructure law. Critics say it's another example of taxpayer dollars wasted on the administration's failed climate agenda.
So much for the Green New Deal.
Proponents of a transition away from fossil fuels have pinned their hopes on green hydrogen to address the challenge of “clean” energy for industry, but critics have long argued the staggering costs would make the plan go up in smoke. With projects here in the U.S. and across the globe failing, and research confirming the costs are too high, critics’ predictions are turning out to be true.
“You tell people it can’t work. You write about it. And then two years later, it fails. And then people act surprised,” energy analyst David Blackmon, who publishes his work on his “Energy Absurdities” Substack, told Just the News.
The Biden-Harris administration laid out a clean hydrogen roadmap in June 2023, which included $9.5 billion in funding from the 2021 infrastructure law. “Given its potential to help address the climate crisis, enhance energy security and resilience, and create economic value, interest in producing and using clean hydrogen is intensifying both in the United States and abroad,” the roadmap declared.
"GREEN HYDROGEN"
While wind and solar can at certain times produce electricity, that’s only about 20% of the energy people consume. Industry and transportation make up the rest. Using wind and solar to power heavy industries — such as steel, ammonia and concrete — is a challenge. The energy demand is enormous. Steel production, for example, requires temperatures in excess of 2,900 degrees Fahrenheit.
Proponents of net zero hoped to address the challenge with hydrogen-based technologies. Hydrogen can be produced in a number of ways, but it’s not an energy source. It’s an energy carrier, meaning you have to use energy to make the product, which can then be converted back into energy. And you lose about 50% to 80% of the energy used in the process.
Almost all hydrogen production today comes from processes using natural gas. "Green hydrogen," however, splits water into hydrogen and oxygen using a process called electrolysis powered by electricity that’s most often produced with wind and solar.
Water use is one of the big challenges of green hydrogen. On his Substack, energy expert Robert Bryce reported on a project in Texas that plans to suck 433,000 gallons of water per day — enough to fill more than four Olympic-size swimming pools each week — from an aquifer. A local group is fighting to stop it.
In “Green Breakdown,” energy researcher Steve Goreham explains there are other challenges. The gas degrades metal through a process called hydrogen embrittlement, which means transporting the gas by pipeline risks explosions.
The other problem is the amount of electricity that would be needed. Citing figures from the International Energy Agency, Goreham estimates that producing all the requisite primary chemicals would require between 12,000 and 17,500 terawatt hours of renewable electricity. This is between three and more than four times the total amount of electricity produced in 2023 by all wind and solar farms across the globe.
Even if that much wind and solar could be used to produce enough hydrogen to replace fossil fuels in industry, the cost would be prohibitive, according to a Harvard study published in Joule last week.

Forget that the thermodynamics and chemistry of splitting water to H2 and O consumes more energy than it produces and focus on how the process makes you feel about yourself.
#2
Carter Lake and others here us hyro electric process to make electricy then use electric pumps to pump water back into the lake and begin the process over.

Thirty years ago, Scientific American investigated the hydrogen energy 'source' and concluded the only way it was practicable was if you use cheap nuclear power to make it.
I guess the clowns in DC now were too young to read then.

The real life version of hydrogen production cracks methane (CH4), trapping the resultant H2, leaving whole lotta carbon to be dealt with. Also, they burn a bunch of methane to power the whole thing.
Don't let them tell you hydrogen tech is clean.
It's just dirty somewhere else.

[NAHARNET] Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s were targeting Beirut's southern suburbs on Sunday night, after the Israeli army warned that it would target Hezbollah's al-Qard al-Hassan financial institution in Haret Hreik, Shiyyah, Ghobeiri, Choueifat, Tahwitat al-Ghadir and Burj al-Barajneh.
The Israeli army also warned that it would strike neighborhoods in Baalbek, Hermel and Haret al-Fikani in the Bekaa.
Israel's military had earlier announced that it would attack a "large number of targets" linked to al-Qard al-Hassan.
The registered nonprofit NGO is sanctioned by both the U.S. and Saudi Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula, largely made up of sand and oil rigs. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Formerly dictatorial and steeped in Olde Tyme Religion, deferring to Salafist holy men on all issues, it has now done a 180 and is making a serious effort to modernize, so as not to be left in the sand by its Gulf Arab neighbors. The holy men have been shoved to the background and the nation is now still dictatorial but somewhat Frational. That doesn't make them trustworthy, but it's a start... and provides financial services but is also used by ordinary Lebanese.
Israel's announcement came a day after U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin called civilian casualties in Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. "far too high" in the Israel-Hezbollah war, and urged Israel to scale back some strikes, especially in and around Beirut.

I love the final paragraph from your link, Skidmark:
The campaign against financial institutions appears to be a fourth stage of the war. In the first stage, lasting about 11 months, the IDF simply returned fire, or targeted weapons depots and isolated Hezbollah commanders. In the second stage, the IDF attacked the full senior hierarchy of Hezbollah, including in Beirut. In the third stage, which began in late September, the IDF launched a ground operation. In the fourth stage, it is attacking Hezbollah’s money sources.
[NAHARNET] The Lebanese Army said three soldiers were killed in an Israeli strike on Sunday on their vehicle in southern Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... . There was no immediate comment on that from the Israeli military, which said it struck more than 100 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon in the past day and continued ground operations there.
Lebanon's army has largely kept to the sidelines in the war. The military is a respected institution in Lebanon, but isn't powerful enough to impose its will on Hezbollah or defend the country from an Israeli invasion.
Israel's military said Hezbollah fired more than 170 rockets into Israel on Sunday. Israel's Magen David Adom rescue service said three people were slightly injured from a fire sparked by a rocket attack on the northern city of Safed.
Israel has increased strikes on southern neighborhoods of Beirut known as the Dahieh, a crowded residential area where Hezbollah has a strong presence. It is also home to many civilians unaffiliated with the holy warrior group.

Thanks ever so, dude, for running interference for Iran and its little sock puppet. Are you quite, quite sure they wouldn’t like a bit of a hudna that they’d fully intend to break later anyway? Honestly, show some understanding of those you’re white knighting.
[IsraelTimes] An unnamed US official tells the Axios news site that Beirut and the international community are unlikely to accept Israel’s proposal for a ceasefire in Lebanon.
The report says the proposal would “dramatically undermine Lebanon’s sovereignty.”
Israel’s demands include being able to actively enforce the disarming of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon and to maintain unfettered access to Lebanese airspace.
The White House and Israeli embassy in Washington refused to comment on the report.
The demands were included in a document drawn up by Israel and passed to White House envoy Amos Hochstein ahead of his trip to the region today aimed at brokering an end to the fighting, Axios reports, citing US and Israeli officials.
According to the US news site, Israel wants to be able to conduct “active enforcement” of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which requires that the Lebanese Armed Forces be the only force with arms in southern Lebanon. It also seeks freedom of operation over Lebanese airspace, something which it currently enjoys on a defacto basis.
Israel says the resolution has gone largely unenforced since it was passed in 2006, allowing Hezbollah to build up a formidable arms cache and defensive capabilities, with neither UNIFIL peacekeepers or the LAF willing to challenge the Iran-backed terror group.
Israel has repeatedly attempted to portray its offensive in southern Lebanon as it essentially stepping in and doing UNIFIL’s job for it.
“We are talking about 1701 with increased enforcement. Our main message is that if the Lebanese army and UNIFIL do more, the IDF will do less and the other way around,” an Israeli official is quoted saying.
The site reports that the US supports bolstering UNIFIL’s mandate and the LAF to better oppose Hezbollah.
[BombThrower] The Omniwar Symposium was well worth watching in full. It hits many points I’ve been covering for years now, from transhuman ambition to religious inversion. Even so, there was plenty of new material for me to sink my teeth into. All the presenters are admirably learned and articulate, so the info went down easy.
Their overarching thesis posits an all-encompassing assault by elite powers on mass populations—the fat cats against “the people.” This is a global war, waged alongside various inter-elite geopolitical conflicts. In the long view, the omniwar is a struggle to establish a technocratic hegemony. It is a fight to crush our freedoms. It is a war against humanity.
[NAHARNET] Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on Sunday that the military was stepping up its strikes targeting Hezbollah in southern Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... near the Israeli border.
"Not only are we defeating the enemy, but we are destroying them in all the villages along the border, in the places that Hezbollah planned to use as launchpads for attacks against Israel," Gallant told troops during a visit to the border.
The Israeli military presence in the border area was "overwhelming the terrorists," he said.
Gallant's comments came after Lebanese official media reported 14 Israeli strikes within minutes on the border village of Khiam, and as Israel kept hammering Hezbollah targets elsewhere in Lebanon.
The defense minister said the intense military action in Lebanon since late September could eventually allow Israelis displaced by the violence to return home.
"Our goal is to completely clean the area (of Hezbollah) so that Israel's northern communities may return to their homes and rebuild their lives," Gallant said.
He also said that Hezbollah prisoners captured by Israeli forces "have informed us of the great fear felt" among group members, adding that "Hezbollah is collapsing."
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant tells IDF troops that Hezbollah operatives captured and interrogated by Israel are “terrified” and that the Iran-backed terror group is “collapsing.”
“The prisoners tell us what’s happening, that they’re terrified because they know that they don’t have what it takes to deal with what’s happening. Not in terms of strength, combat ability, precision or determination,” he tells troops of the IDF’s 98th Division.
“This whole great formation they call Hezbollah is collapsing.”
The IDF last week published footage of an alleged member of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan forces being interrogated about the terror group’s plans in southern Lebanon and the current state of its operations.
“We are moving from a situation of defeating the enemy village by village, to destruction — blowing up the tunnels and the ammunition depots, and dismantling Hezbollah,” he tells troops.
“The result is that in every place that Hezbollah was waiting and preparing to raid [Israeli] border town, there are IDF soldiers.”
“Our goal is to completely clean this area so that residents can return to their homes and their lives,” he says, referring to Israel’s recently added war goal of returning tens of thousands of northern residents who have been displaced since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack, when Hezbollah began attacking northern Israel on a near-daily basis the day after.

[PJMedia] Law enforcement has accused the notorious Venezuelan migrant gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) of recruiting illegal adolescent minors to commit crimes in New York City's Times Square.
The New York Post reported that the foreign gang is using these little thugs, some as young as 11 years old, to commit terrifying crimes against tourists and residents right in the heart of the city.
About two dozen of these young alien criminals have formed the rat-like gang, which is operating out of Manhattan shelters funded by city taxpayers to pull off their armed robberies in Times Square. The gang of illegal alien minors calls themselves the “Los Diablos de la 42,” which in Spanish translates to “Little Devils of 42nd Street.”
The 21 or so gang members have allegedly committed over 50 different crimes, despite police not arresting or charging even one member, said the NYPD. Since arriving in New York, TdA has escalated its activities from purse snatchings to blatantly committing gunpoint robberies against locals and tourists alike, due to the effective lack of response from the authorities.
“They kind of had a graduation of sorts, and a progression where originally it started as snatches and then went to strong-armed robberies, and then started brandishing knives in a pack format,” explained Detective Bureau Assistant Chief Jason Savino.
“You have individuals that are brazen,” Savino said, “We know they have access to guns, evident by the fact that they’ve done gunpoint robberies and they’ve been brazen enough to showcase pistols in and around their social media."
“This is the first formulated group that we found where this group of about 20 individuals that, in pack format, hang out every day, they post on social media, they boast about their crew,” he added.
“You see little pockets in and around Times Square and in and around the shelters," he continued. "But as far as a true threshold, it’s been limited to shelters.”
The juvenile thugs are controlled by an older gangster, who recruits younger gang members to carry out robberies and has them bring back the stolen property.
Savino told the Post that members of the gang are getting away with their crimes and avoiding jail time because of their juvenile status and lenient New York State bail laws.
“It’s a product of bail reform,” Savino said. “We tried to try some in criminal court, somewhat unsuccessfully.”
TdA has taken advantage of the Biden Administration's open-border policies to illegally enter the country and criminally infest city centers across the country. The Venezuelan criminal gang gained notoriety nationwide when it seized and violently occupied residential properties on American soil.
Meanwhile, authorities in New York are beginning to worry that a gang war could break out between TdA and the established New York-based gang, the Latin Kings. The Latin Kings have had a longstanding rivalry with the newcomers after a member of the gang allegedly shot and killed a TdA member.
The NYPD said that the likelihood of an all-out gang war is now dangerously close, as the Venezuelan gang builds up its presence in the city.
[JustTheNews] Title 32 of U.S. Code gives governors power over National Guard personnel in their respective states.
A bipartisan group of 124 members of Congress, led by Sen. John Hickenlooper, D-Colorado, sent a letter to the House and Senate Armed Services Committees urging it to adopt language in the fiscal year 2025 National Defense Authorization Act to protect the power that governors have overseeing National Guard forces in their states.
“Should Congress strip governors of the ability to manage National Guard units within their states, it would risk fundamentally altering the Guard’s mission and identity, as well as set a concerning precedent whose impacts may be broader than anticipated,” wrote the lawmakers.
Title 32 of U.S. Code gives governors power over National Guard personnel in their respective states. However, Legislative Proposal 480 would move Air National Guard units with space missions into the U.S. Space Force without consent from governors.
Yet, the House NDAA included language to require gubernatorial consent to allow this transfer, protecting the Guard’s Title 32 mission.
"For 120 years, National Guard forces have served under governors’ command in all 50 states and territories," a release said. "These service members fulfill important functions in the national defense, as well as Title 32 missions in their communities. The U.S. Air Force proposal disregards this longstanding tradition of the National Guard, as well as the choice by members of the Guard to serve in the branch and state of their choosing."
All 55 state and territorial governors oppose LP 480, as do many prominent Colorado lawmakers and the National Guard Association of the United States and Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States.
The letter comes as Hickenlooper was among 86 members of Congress to call on the Department of Defense to retract LP 480. Along with 31 other lawmakers, he also submitted an unsuccessful NDAA amendment to only permit the transfer with gubernatorial approval.
Colorado has a large Space Force presence, including the most National Guard members conducting space missions of any state.

They should not be part of the NG rather force structure transfer to the Reserves. DoD won't do that because of manpower restrictions that set the size of each service. They want to hide it under the NG. However, they run into the complications of the Constitution (which all authoritarians hate) -

[Regnum] A new hurricane, which was named "Oscar", has formed in the Atlantic Ocean. This was reported on October 19 by the US National Hurricane Center (NHC).
An interactive map on the government agency's website states that the wind speed in the hurricane zone is reaching about 36 meters per second. It is moving west, covering 19 kilometers every hour. about 12 mph
The NHC and other U.S. agencies have not yet issued a severe storm warning for the hurricane.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on the evening of October 9, another hurricane (Milton) hit the coast of the American state of Florida. In anticipation of it, the authorities carried out a mass evacuation, affecting more than 5.5 million people. This operation became one of the largest in the history of the state.
Milton caused powerful tornadoes and heavy rains in Florida. The hurricane caused major destruction in the state. In October, another powerful hurricane, Helene, hit the US. Hundreds of people died.

This storm has already been demoted from Hurricane to Tropical Storm. It will likely dissipate in the N Atlantic in the next 3 days.
It is quite unlikely that a tropical storm will make landfall in the US in the next two weeks. I would guess well below 1%.
There will, however, likely be a tropical storm in the East Pacific in the next few days but almost certainly it will come nowhere near making landfall in the US.

[Regnum] Russian T-14 Armata and T-90M Proryv tanks are among the top five best armored combat vehicles in the world, according to the American publication The National Interest. The corresponding material was published on October 19.
"Today, these five tanks are truly considered the best modern main battle tanks in service," the article says.
Among the advantages of the T-14 Armata tank, developed by Uralvagonzavod, the authors note an unmanned turret with a remotely controlled 125-mm smoothbore gun with automated reloading. The relatively small dimensions of the tank reduce the likelihood of being hit by enemy fire, which increases the safety of the crew. The main problem of the innovative T-14 is its high cost.
The upgraded T-90M Proryv tank, despite the fact that its configuration is similar to previous models, is distinguished by increased protection, mobility and firepower. The combat vehicle is equipped with a fundamentally new turret, a powerful engine, a 125mm smoothbore gun 2A46M and a modular dynamic protection system Relikt.
Also in the top five tanks were the American M1A2 Abrams, the South Korean fourth-generation K2 Black Panther, and the Israeli Merkava series tank, the latest version of which entered service in 2023.
As reported by Regnum News Agency, The National Interest columnist Brandon Weichert previously noted that the T-72B3M tank modernized by Russian designers, based on the experience of a special military operation, showed the failure of the West's approach to developing combat vehicles. It was noted that, taking into account all the improvements, the combat vehicle demonstrated high efficiency in real combat conditions and turned out to be cheaper to mass-produce than the T-90 Vladimir, which became the best-selling main battle tank in the world in the first decade of the 21st century.
In March, Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov confirmed that the T-14 Armata tank is in service with the Russian army. According to him, the Armata is much more functional than existing tanks, but the high cost of the combat vehicle does not yet allow it to be used in combat.

This in spite of the fact that Russian tankers prefer the T72B3M over the T90, 'cause, well, they can actually get them. And the parts, cause they all break.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhinis in italics.
[ColonelCassad] October 8th marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of Marina Tsvetaeva, a Russian poet of the Silver Age, writer and translator. In this regard, I remembered my old post on VKontakte: From the diaries of M.I. Tsvetaeva, 1918:
...A knock on the door. I fly down and open it. A stranger in a papakha hat. From a coffee-colored tan - white eyes. (Then I looked closer: blue.) Gasping.
- Are you Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva?
- Me.
- Lenin was killed.
- Oh!!!
- I'm coming to you from the Don.
Lenin was killed and Seryozha is alive! I throw myself on your chest.
__________
The evening of the same day. The communist lodger Zak, running into the kitchen:
- Well, are you satisfied?
I lower my eyes - not out of shyness, of course: I'm afraid to offend with too much obvious joy. (Lenin is killed, the White Guard has entered, all the communists have been hanged, Zakse is the first)...
The refined poetess herself admits that she dreams of hanging the man she just talked to. And not just him! Well, it happens...
There is no point in moralizing about the discouraging cruelty of the best representatives of our creative intelligentsia. This is an ordinary, completely standard situation of a civil war in any country. Alas.
However, if one side of this confrontation behaves like this ("noble, educated and cultured"!!!), then the other side is not forbidden either...
And then they were offended when, after the assassination attempt on Lenin and the murder of Uritsky, the Red Terror began. And what about me?
[ZeroHedge] NexFundAI, introduced by the US FBI in May 2024, is an Ethereum-based crypto token created as part of a covert sting operation, Operation Token Mirrors.
The NexFundAI token was designed to act as bait, targeting individuals and organizations engaged in fraudulent cryptocurrency activities, particularly pump-and-dump schemes. In these scams, manipulators artificially inflate a token’s value, attracting unsuspecting investors, only to dump their holdings once the price peaks, leaving investors with losses.
NexFundAI mimicked the look and behavior of a legitimate cryptocurrency, allowing the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation to attract market manipulators. Fraudsters were lured into engaging with the token, performing illegal actions like wash trading, where multiple trades are conducted by the same party to create a false impression of trading volume. This tactic inflates the token’s value and deceives investors into thinking there’s a growing demand.
In the end, NexFundAI helped the FBI collect hard evidence against 18 individuals and implicated companies like Gotbit and ZM Quant, who were involved in orchestrating sham trades across more than 60 crypto tokens. By July 2024, the FBI had built a case strong enough to file charges, leading to the arrests of key figures in these schemes.
Did you know? Over $25 million in assets were seized as a result of the NexFundAI sting, and the investigation helped reveal new methods scammers were using to manipulate crypto markets.
THE EVOLUTION OF CRYPTO STING OPERATIONS
Crypto sting operations evolved from traditional physical setups to sophisticated digital stings, with the FBI leveraging blockchain monitoring and targeting scams like Silk Road, Ponzi schemes and initial coin offering (ICO) fraud since the rise of Bitcoin in the early 2010s.
[APNEWS] The United States is investigating an unauthorized release of classified documents that assess Israel's plans to attack Iran, three U.S. officials told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named. A fourth U.S. official said the documents appear to be legitimate.
The documents are attributed to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency, and note that Israel was still moving military assets in place to conduct a military strike in response to Iran's blistering ballistic missile attack on Oct. 1. They were sharable within the ''Five Eyes,'' which are the U.S., Great Britannia, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
The documents, which are marked top secret, were posted to the Telegram messaging app and first reported Saturday by CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for... and Axios. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.
The investigation is also examining how the documents were obtained — including whether it was an intentional leak by a member of the U.S. intelligence community or obtained by another method, like a hack — and whether any other intelligence information was compromised, one of the officials said. As part of that investigation, officials are working to determine who had access to the documents before they were posted, the official said.

[Breitbart] Russian air defenses shot down more than 100 Ukrainian drones Sunday over Russia’s western regions, Moscow officials said, while 17 people were injured in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih in a ballistic missile attack.
The Russian Defense Ministry said 110 drones were destroyed in the overnight barrage against seven Russian regions. Many targeted Russia´s border region of Kursk, where 43 drones were reportedly shot down.
Social media footage appeared to show air defenses at work over the city of Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region, close to a factory producing explosives.
Local Gov. Gleb Nikitin wrote on social media Sunday that four fire fighters had been injured repelling a drone attack over Dzerzhinsk’s industrial zone, but did not give further details.
Such large-scale aerial attacks are still relatively rare over Russia 2 1/2 years after Moscow launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
A similar attack at the end of September saw Russia’s Ministry of Defense report the destruction of 125 drones across seven regions.
Meanwhile, 17 people were injured in Ukraine’s Kryvyi Rih after the city was hit with two Russian ballistic missiles, officials said Sunday.
The attack late Saturday evening damaged homes and businesses, said local administration head Oleksandr Vilkul.
The Ukrainian air force said that Russia launched 49 drones and two Iskander-M ballistic missiles in total overnight. It said 31 of the drones were shot down over 12 regions, including the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, while another 13 disappeared from radar – suggesting they were knocked out by electronic defenses.
In a statement on social media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia had launched some 800 guided aerial bombs and more than 500 attack drones over Ukraine in the past week alone.
“Every day, Russia strikes our cities and communities. It is deliberate terror from the enemy against our people,” he said, renewing calls for continued air support from the country´s allies.
“United in defense, the world can stand against this targeted terror.”
