[NYPOST] Lancaster County officials announced an investigation Friday after election workers found some 2,500 voter applications that they suspect are fraudulent.
Two batches of applications were dropped off last-minute at the county elections office to meet Pennsylvania’s Oct. 21 voter registration deadline, officials reported at a Friday news conference.
District Attorney Heather Adams said Sherlocks found problems with 60% of the voter registration forms they’ve reviewed so far, including incorrect addresses, false identification information, false names and names that don’t match Social Security information.
"Staff noticed that numerous applications appeared to have the same handwriting [and] were filled out on the same day," Adams said.e
"It appears to be an organized effort," she went on, linking the phony applications to paid canvassing by one or two organizations that conducted recent county registration drives and are believed to be active in two other counties.
"It doesn’t seem that it’s any one party. In some cases, they’re registering in different parties," Lancaster County Commissioner Ray D’Agostino said, emphasizing that the real concern is the increased risk of voter fraud.
Yep. Once the names are in the system, how they vote is what matters, not which party they’re registered for.
"Concerns were raised during the staff’s normal process to review and enter applications into the Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors System and law enforcement was alerted," county election officials said.
[FoxNews] The whistleblowers were required to sign NDAs to access briefings on 'sensitive reporting'
GOP lawmakers are calling for transparency about the protection of whistleblowers in the ongoing investigation into the two assassination attempts against former President Trump.
In a letter penned to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, senators Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Ron Johnson, R-Wis., expressed concern after whistleblowers revealed that Secret Service employees were required to sign nondisclosure agreements (NDAs).
The whistleblowers alleged they were required to sign NDAs to access briefings on "sensitive reporting" relevant to their work to protect former President Trump.
Photos, shared in the letter to Mayorkas, showed screenshots sent to Secret Service agents requesting them to sign a NDA.
The senators are now requesting that DHS reveal the scope of the NDAs and if employees were required to sign statutorily-required anti-gag language.
In their letter, the senators referred to the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act (WPEA).
The WPEA states that "no federal agency nondisclosure policy, form, agreement, or related documents may be implemented or enforced if it does not contain specific language notifying the employee of their rights to disclose waste, fraud, abuse, or misconduct to Congress, an Inspector General, or the Office of Special Counsel (OSC)."
Senators Grassley and Johnson also requested that the DHS provide the threat assessment used to justify sending the NDAs.
They also requested that the agency share how the requirement altered and affected Trump's and any other government officials' protective details.
The senators highlighted the need for DHS to provide transparency about whistleblowers' rights.
"The importance of whistleblowers knowing their rights under the law cannot be stated enough, and federal agencies should encourage their employees to disclose allegations of waste, fraud, and abuse through all appropriate channels," they said. "Federal agencies cannot conceal their wrongdoing behind illegal non-disclosure policies and related actions."
Fox News Digital has reached out to the DHS for comment.
[Bee] With the presidential election less than two weeks away, top Democrats warned the American people that it could be some time before we know who the winner is because it may take at least four years to count all of the ballots.
Though other, far less-developed countries have been able to count all ballots by hand in much shorter periods of time, Democrats stressed the very real likelihood that counting all the ballots in swing states would probably last until the 2028 presidential election.
"You just can't rush this type of thing," said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. "We're talking about a very complicated process of counting. It starts with 1, proceeds on to 2, then 3, and so on. These numbers get very large. When you run out of fingers and toes, it gets even more confusing. Plus, you have to account for the fact that we'll need to wait and find out how many votes we need to come up with. I'm afraid we won't know who the winner of the presidential election is until everyone starts voting to elect the following president."
Political experts agreed that the chances of knowing who won on election night were slim. "You can't expect counting to happen quickly like it's something people have been doing since they were babies," said one analyst. "Asking the most advanced country in the world to be able to count ballots in less than four years is unreasonable."
At publishing time, election officials in swing states assured the public that everyone would almost certainly know the results of the presidential race by the time George R.R. Martin publishes The Winds of Winter.

Of the more than 28 million votes cast nationwide, 16 million of them are mail-in ballots and nearly 12 million are in-person early votes, data provided by the Election Lab show.
I wonder how many of the mail-in papers had the same return address?

[NYP] A Holocaust survivor has denounced Vice President Kamala Harris in a Trump campaign video for endorsing claims that former President Donald Trump is a "fascist" akin to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
"Adolf Hitler invaded Poland when I was 9 years old. He murdered my parents and most of my family," 94-year-old Jerry Wartski says in the clip exclusively obtained by The Post and set to be released Friday.
"I know more about Hitler than Kamala will ever know in a thousand lifetimes," adds Wartski, rolling up his shirtsleeves to reveal his Auschwitz prisoner number.
Holocaust survivor Jerry Wartski is denouncing Vice President Kamala Harris in a video set to be released Friday for claiming former President Donald Trump is like Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
"For her to accuse President Trump of being like Hitler is the worst thing I ever heard in my 75 years living in the United States," he goes on, adding that Harris "owes my parents and everybody else who was murdered by Hitler an apology for repeating this lie."

The man’s indictment of Kamala’s closing argument was powerful. I am not sure to what extent the clip will be used. In Ohio, the ads are blocks of pro and anti- Sherrod Brown spots. He is cutting pro-Trump ads even though he voted for impeachment. Watching television is currently at assault levels.

don't know about abortion drugs sounds like a wild claim set to discredit the legit criticism of these dangerous products.
They do, however, contain DNA contamination at far higher levels than regulatory agencies even permitted for previous gene therapy drugs - and this is made more dangerous by the lipid nanoparticles which naturally envelop this just like they do the target RNA, meaning it goes directly into your cells instead of being destroyed outside.
That's why an Australian council recently voted to send warning letters to all its medical centres and to the government calling for them to be suspended
Once inside the cell, the DNA contamination can cause cancer.

[Korrespondent] 22:36 Russians attacked Kiev with drones, a fire broke out in an apartment building in Solomensky district and apartments on the 17th, 18th and 19th floors of a 25-story apartment building were partially damaged, the State Emergency Service reported. Residents of the building are being evacuated, information about the victims is being clarified, said the head of the Kyiv City State Emergency Service Sergey Popko. In addition, debris fell in an open area in the Shevchenkivsky district, according to preliminary data, without casualties.
21:17 Zelensky said in an evening video address that civil society will be involved in working on an internal "victory plan." The president also said that he had instructed the development of a technological headquarters format: "The highest priority is drones, of course. Including drones that can shoot down "shahids" and other attack drones." In addition, Zelensky instructed the Main Intelligence Directorate, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, "to especially address the issue of releasing civilians from Russian captivity - the results are currently insufficient."
18:08 Scholz called on India to help in the political settlement of the war in Ukraine: "Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine affects Germany and India in many ways. No one can turn a blind eye to this conflict. That is why I insistently advocate that India should advocate for a lasting and just peace."
17:10 North Korea will soon send a second group of its soldiers to Russia for the war against Ukraine, Bloomberg writes, citing South Korean intelligence. Moscow plans to supply the North Koreans with weapons and combat uniforms, as well as fake IDs so that they appear to be residents of Russia's eastern regions.
16:49 Deputy Foreign Minister of North Korea Kim Jong-gyu stated that "if" the DPRK decided to send its military to Russia, it would comply with international law. At the same time, he noted that the DPRK Foreign Ministry has no direct relation to the activities of the country's Defense Ministry, and stated that he does not feel the need "to confirm anything separately."
16:27 Russia produces only 30% of the ammunition it uses in the war against Ukraine, with North Korea supplying another 60% and Iran supplying 10%, Bloomberg writes. According to the agency, North Korea has already supplied Russia with 8 million 122mm and 152mm artillery shells, about 100 Hwasong-11 missiles and Bulsae-4 ATGMs.
16:21 Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Ukraine had asked for weapons that Warsaw had bought from South Korea, but he had refused: "There is no scenario in which we would hand over to anyone weapons that we recently bought for billions of zlotys from the pockets of our taxpayers. These weapons must serve the security and defense of the Republic of Poland."
16:15 About 2,000 soldiers from the DPRK are already heading to the west of Russia to the border with Ukraine after completing training in the Far East, the Japanese agency Kyodo reports, citing a source among the Ukrainian military. According to him, the advance group consists of about ten officers.
14:56 Agence France-Presse writes that Zelensky refused to allow UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to visit Ukraine after his participation in the BRICS summit in Russia.
14:28 Syrsky denied Putin's statement about the alleged encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine called this "blatant disinformation that does not reflect the real situation." According to Syrsky, Ukrainian troops continue active operations in the Kursk direction, destroying the enemy's combat potential for the third month in a row.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, from August 8 to the present, Russian troops in the Kursk region have lost 17,819 people , of which 6,662 were irretrievable losses, 10,446 were medical losses, and 711 were captured. During this period, the Russian army also lost 45 tanks, 256 armored combat vehicles, 565 vehicles, 99 artillery systems, and five multiple launch rocket systems.
14:09 Peskov called the Wall Street Journal's information about contacts between Putin and Musk false. The Kremlin spokesman said that Putin and Musk called each other only once, before the invasion of Ukraine, their conversation was "introductory in nature", they talked about the future and technologies. After that, there were no contacts. Peskov believes that this is a "plant" related to the US elections.
14:01 On the night of October 25, the Defense Forces hit an enemy Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system and destroyed the 9S36 radar target illumination and missile guidance station of the Buk-M2 air defense missile system. The targets were located in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, several dozen kilometers from the line of combat, the General Staff reported.
13:22 Ukraine, through the mediation of Qatar, received from the Russian side lists of missing servicemen, as well as letters from Ukrainian prisoners of war to their relatives, Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets reported. The parties also discussed the possibility of accelerating the process of exchanging prisoners of war and providing assistance to civilians who find themselves in difficult life situations, in particular assistance in restoring personal documents.
13:03 The first North Korean troops will be used by Russia in combat zones as early as October 27-28, Zelensky said, citing intelligence data. "This is an obvious escalatory step by Russia, which is significant, unlike all the disinformation that has been heard in Kazan these days. The actual involvement of North Korea in combat operations should be met not with closed eyes and confused comments, but with tangible pressure on both Moscow and Pyongyang for the sake of compliance with the UN Charter and punishment for escalation," the head of state emphasized.
The president also said that he had heard Syrsky's report on the situation at the front, with special attention to the Pokrovsky, Kurakhovsky and Limansky directions. "It's tough in Donetsk, but our combat brigades are holding their positions and doing everything possible to destroy the occupier," Zelensky added.
In addition, the president commented on the progress of the Kursk operation: "We are implementing our tasks. The buffer zone on Russian territory protects Ukraine from Russian attempts to expand the war in the east of our country and ensures tangible Russian losses. The commander-in-chief reported on the fulfillment of tasks by our units in certain areas of the Kursk region."
12:50 Putin said that Moscow is "ready to seek reasonable compromises to resolve the Ukrainian crisis," but that "any outcome of the settlement must be in Russia's favor and be based on the realities on the battlefield." Putin also praised the West for changing its "rhetoric on the situation in Ukraine, and for beginning to realistically assess the situation." He added that the degree of confrontation between Russia and the West is not decreasing, and that they continue to supply weapons to Ukraine.
Putin also said that Turkish partners have repeatedly approached Russia with proposals for initiatives allegedly from the Ukrainian side, but when Russia agrees to consider such initiatives, "Kyiv refuses them, this has happened twice."
12:34 Erdogan, after visiting the BRICS summit in Russia, said that "Putin is striving for a permanent ceasefire." According to the Turkish president, this was also confirmed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Istanbul. Erdogan also said that he discussed the exchange of prisoners between Moscow and Kiev with Putin in Kazan, and Ankara will continue diplomatic efforts.
12:25 Russians are shelling Selidovo in Donetsk Oblast with CABs, drones, and artillery, but are not destroying it completely - probably in order to use the city's infrastructure and geographic location in the future for an offensive on Pokrovsk, said Vitaly Milovidov, press officer for the 15th Brigade of the Kara-Dag National Guard.
"Selidovo is a very large city with many basements where it will be possible to quarter a huge number of personnel and hide equipment. In fact, Selidovo will improve their logistics and allow them to bring in more manpower and equipment in order to conduct further assault operations on Pokrovsk," explained Ruslan Mikula, an analyst for the Deep State monitoring project.
11:36 German defense concern Rheinmetall reported that it has transferred another 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. The Marder 1A3 version supplied by Rheinmetall to Ukraine is equipped with additional laser rangefinders, which allows it to effectively and accurately hit targets. The total number of combat vehicles sent to Ukraine under the so-called "ring exchange" agreement will reach about 200 units, of which more than 100 are Marder 1A3 models.

Most of the enemy drones were shot down in the Odessa and Kyiv regions, the Air Force reported. In addition, 16 Russian drones were lost.
09:57 The Wall Street Journal writes that Elon Musk has been in regular contact with Putin since late 2022. According to sources, Putin and Musk discuss personal matters, business, and geopolitical tensions in private conversations. This worries the White House, since Musk has access to certain classified information, and the United States is heavily dependent on the space developments of SpaceX.
In addition, after 2022, Musk communicated with several Russian officials, including the first deputy head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation, Sergei Kiriyenko. Also, according to the newspaper, Putin asked Musk not to activate Starlink satellite communication terminals in Taiwan in late 2023 in order to do a favor to the leader of the PRC, Xi Jinping.
09:33 The head of the Zaporizhia OVA Ivan Fedorov called to "prepare for the worst" this winter: "We must prepare for the fact that there will be no electricity at all. Maybe they don't like it, because we operate with such categorical things. But let's prepare for the worst. It will be better - it will be super." According to Fedorov, in Zaporizhia there may not be a centralized power supply to water pumping stations, and cogeneration units will be installed at all major boiler houses of the city.

[ZeroHedge] Israeli Forces Attack Iran With "Precise Strikes On Military Targets" In Retaliatory Response
Israel attacked Iran early Saturday morning local time with what it's referred to as "precise strikes on Iranian military targets," weeks after the Islamic Republic fired around 180 ballistic missiles towards Israel on Oct. 1. Blasts were reported near the headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
In a rare announcement, the Israeli military said its strikes are underway, and that their "offensive and defensive capabilities are fully mobilized," while the WSJ reports that Israel gave the US advance notice.
"We were aware in advance," said a US official.

According to unconfirmed reports, several explosions have been heard in Tehran. According to journalist Reza Rashidpour, five large explosions were heard in the city within around 10 seconds, while Iranian Air Force jets have taken off in the western part of the country, the NY Times reports.

— Israel News Pulse (@israelnewspulse) October 25, 2024
According to the Times:
Residents of Tehran reported hearing multiple explosions in and around the Iranian capital, and Iranian state media sites said the explosions were near or at Imam Khomeini international airport.
Maryam Naraghi, an Iranian journalist, said she heard large explosions in the eastern part of Tehran, where she lives. “It was the sound of bombs and explosions,” she said. “It was very close to where I am in the eastern part of the city.” The area includes military bases and the secretive military site Parchin.
Another Iranian journalist, Reza Rashidpour, said five massive explosions were heard in Tehran within about 10 seconds. He said Iranian air force jets had taken off in the western part of the country.
Iranians have also reported hearing explosions in Isfahan, Mashhad, and Kurdistan province, while two senior Arab officials told NBC News that the initial strike on Tehran targeted barracks and a weapons depot.
Tehran has threatened to target Gulf states and other US allies if their territories or airspace are used to attack Iran - while Israel assured the US that it wouldn't strike Iran's oil or nuclear facilities.
As Axios reports, US and Israeli officials believe Iran will respond military - but hope it will be 'constrained' in order to put an end to the tit-for-tat (ok).
Driving the news: The U.S. military boosted its forces in the region in the last few weeks ahead of Israel's possible attack on Iran.
U.S. officials said the goal was to deter Iran from responding and help Israel defend itself from another Iranian missile barrage.
President Biden and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin decided to deploy a THAAD missile defense system in Israel with a crew of U.S. military operators.
That means U.S. soldiers could actively engage in the fighting between Israel and Iran on Israeli soil.
On Friday, several hours before the Israeli strike, CENTCOM announced that U.S. Air Force F-16s from the 480th Fighter Squadron based at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany had arrived in U.S. Central Command's area of responsibility.
Meanwhile, the FBI is investigating a leak of top secret US intelligence documents that revealed part of Israel's upcoming strike on Iran.
Israel struck several targets across Syria and Iraq as part of its wide-reaching response to Iran on Saturday.
In Syria, Israel struck military targets across the center and south of the country, Syrian media confirmed.
There were early reports of explosions outside Damascus, which the Syrian Military said was a result of Syrian air defense interceptions.
"Around 02:00, [Israel] carried out an air strike against several military sites in the southern and central region of Syria. The air defense confronted the missiles and shot down some of them. Tests of the results of the attacks are still ongoing."
The attack was reportedly an attempt to "blind" Iranian early warning radars.
EXPLOSIONS IN IRAQ
Explosions were reported in Basra, in southern Iraq, but soon after, Iraqi officials denied this, saying that they had actually occurred across the border in Iran.
Basra is a stronghold for Iraqi Shia, having been the site of numerous Shia uprisings during the Saddam Hussein era.
The Iraqi Transportation Ministry announced it was suspending all air traffic until further notice, following the reports of strikes.

Over 100 Israeli Aircraft participated in tonight’s Series of Precision-Strikes against Military Targets inside Iran, including F-35 Stealth Strike Fighters, according to the Jerusalem Post. This would be the Largest Attack by Israel against Iran in History.
The Fars News Agency is reporting that Iranian Military Base to the West and Southwest of Tehran have been Targeted by Israeli Strikes, with Air Defenses claimed to have been Active attempting to Intercept the Attacks.
According to the Washington Post; tonight’s Israeli Precision-Strikes inside Iran are targeting Iranian Military Assets, mainly Missile Manufacturing Facilities and Air Defense Sites, with them expected to last several more hours

Its been confirmed F35's used into the first WAVE, they have KC135's for refueling in the area. Jordan, has opened its airspace to Israel!
Possible first wave target list:
It appears like the first rounds of Israeli strikes in Iran are focusing on military targets in Tehran and around the country. This @FDD map marks some of the likely targets. We will know more in the coming hours. pic.twitter.com/f0wCutjZQs
U.S. and Israeli officials said that three waves of strikes took place. The first waves focused on Iranian air defense system and the second an third waves focused on missile and drone bases and productions sites
Tonight’s attack by Israel on Iran suggests the use of radar spoofing, as evidenced by the Iranian anti-aircraft guns (SPAAG) engaging with no visible targets in the air. The SPAAG's attempts to engage nonexistent threats indicate a potential manipulation of its radar systems, likely designed to create confusion and divert attention from actual incoming threats.
As of now, multiple Iranian military positions/bases have been struck by Israel as the attack continues.
several Strikes reported against Dezful Military Airport and a
nearby Surface-to-Air Missile Site
Smoke seen rising from an IRGC Air Defense Base near the Town of Khojir in the Tehran Province.
According to Israeli Defense Officials; tonight’s Strike Campaign against Military Targets inside Iran has now Ended, with over 20 Sites being Targeted in Three Waves carried out by the Israeli Air Force.

The Mystery of today’s Tanker Activity over the Mediterranean has been Solved, with U.S. Central Command announcing the arrival of F-16CJs with the 480th Fighter Squadron from Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany to Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. F-16CJs and the 480th… pic.twitter.com/jDtcNGfrZJ— OSINTdefender (@sentdefender) October 25, 2024
From another tweet
💥 Ah, the pieces are coming together now. The tanker activity over the Mediterranean was all about getting these F-16CJs from the 480th Fighter Squadron safely into position at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. And these aren’t just any F-16s—these are SEAD specialists, tasked with the Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses. When the 480th shows up, it means the U.S. is gearing up to neutralize potential anti-air threats, clearing the skies for further operations if necessary.
🌌 This deployment is a clear message to Iran and its regional allies. With tensions skyrocketing, the arrival of SEAD-capable aircraft tells everyone that the U.S. isn’t merely monitoring the situation; it’s prepared to act decisively to protect American and allied interests. By placing these jets in Saudi Arabia, the U.S. is strategically positioning its forces to respond to threats across the region, from the Persian Gulf to Syria to Israel’s northern border. The 480th’s F-16CJs will be ready to dismantle surface-to-air missile systems, radar installations, and other defensive assets if hostilities break out.
🚨 And let’s be clear: this move is as much about deterrence as it is about preparation. SEAD operations are among the first steps in any air campaign, signaling that the U.S. is ready to create an environment where its aircraft can operate freely. Iran and its proxies have significant air-defense capabilities, and the arrival of SEAD specialists suggests the U.S. is prepared to neutralize those defenses if red lines are crossed.
So, what’s the takeaway? With these F-16CJs now in place, the U.S. has upped the ante. This is a powerful show of force that should make any adversaries think twice about escalating. The skies over the Middle East just got a lot more complicated—and a lot more dangerous for anyone who might challenge U.S. or allied aircraft.

Who's running our country? Easy. The same gang who always runs the country under various administrations: the Deep State. The Antony Blinken and Jake Sullivan duo is a close second.

Just for the record, FDR wasn't running the war the last few months. Basically, Marshall and King were running the war. However, the overall strategy and implementation had already been put in place.

No-One running the GIVERnment for the last four years is just more justification for Trump and Musk to shut down most departments and wasteful bloated programs.

[Breitbart] Approximately 34.3 tons of fentanyl that made it to the United States via the southern border have been seized since President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris took office — enough to kill more than all the people on Earth.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) released the shocking statistics on Thursday, using data from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
CBP, which began tracking seizures of all kinds of drugs in FY 2021, said they seized about 37.4 tons of fentanyl in total within the last four fiscal years — “enough to kill roughly 15.6 billion people,” according to the RNC’s figures.
The deadly synthetic opioid is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. Just just two milligrams of it — similar to 10 grains of table salt — is considered a lethal dose by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
The amount of fentanyl seized across the United States in September alone was the equivalent of roughly 491 million lethal doses, the RNC said.
One person dies of a fentanyl overdose in the United States every seven minutes on average, the Washington Post reported.
The number of Americans killed by the drug has jumped 94 percent since 2019, according to the publication.
According to the Biden-Harris administration’s own DEA administrator, Anne Milgram, cartels are “killing Americans with fentanyl at catastrophic and record rates like we’ve never seen before”:
[GEO.TV] Armed assailants have attacked three prison vans carrying several Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... (PTI) politicians, government workers and cops detained in the D-Chowk protest case, a spokesperson for federal capital police said on Friday.
The unidentified attackers carried out a gun attack on three prison vans transporting "82 accused, including PTI members of provincial assembly (MPAs), government officials, and coppers, to Attock jail" after a court hearing, the spokesperson added.
PTI MPAs among fleeing inmates rearrested after gun attack on prison vans in Islamabad
One of the prison vans was transporting PTI MPAs Anwar Zaib, Liaquat, and Yasir Qureshi.
According to the Islamabad police, the PTI politicians among other inmates managed to flee from the prison vans following the armed assault, however, they were rearrested by the cops.
The armed attack occurred at Sangjani Toll Plaza, the police said, adding that it was like an ambush as the gunnies had already taken position before the arrival of the vans at the toll plaza.
The attackers burst tyres of the vans and later opened fire on the cops, leaving four coppersmaimed who were swiftly shifted to the hospital.
The pictures of the incident, obtained by Geo News, showed that a police mobile van in the prison vans’ convoy was also damaged in the attack.

[Regnum] Recently, there have been many false rumors in the American media, so the Kremlin no longer considers the US press authoritative. This was stated at a briefing on October 25 by the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov.
This is how he commented on the article in The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) about Russia allegedly transferring satellite data to Yemeni rebels to attack merchant ships in the Red Sea.
“We are not in the habit of reading these publications first thing over coffee, because we no longer perceive them as authoritative newspapers that tell only the truth,” the Kremlin representative emphasized.
On October 25, the WSJ reported that Russia allegedly provided Yemeni Houthis with satellite data to attack merchant ships in the Red Sea. According to one of the newspaper’s sources, the data was transmitted via members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) who were in Yemen. According to the newspaper’s sources, this helped the rebels significantly “expand the scope of their strikes.”
Also during the briefing, Peskov refuted the WSJ publication about contacts between Putin and American businessman Elon Musk.
As reported by Regnum News Agency, in October The Wall Street Journal published an article about Ulyanovsk Region Legislative Assembly deputy Viktor Bout allegedly participating in negotiations with Yemeni Houthis on arms supplies. The parliamentarian called this publication a fabrication.
He explained that in the absence of significant media personalities, American media outlets are using the brand of the "arms baron" that they once promoted, known to the masses, and his name. According to him, all this is being done in order to attract more public attention to their publication and raise the publication's currently sagging ratings.
Peskov previously noted that the Kremlin had studied this WSJ publication and was inclined to classify it as fake or informational attacks on Russian deputies.
In July, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the work of the American media with facts ridiculous. Commenting on the material of the American newspaper The New York Times, the diplomat noted that the facts testifying to the Kiev regime's abuse of the civilian population in Donbass were presented by Russia, but the US media are doing everything to ignore this truth.
The Intelsat 33e satellite, which was launched in 2016 and provides communications across Europe, Asia and Africa, experienced "an anomaly" on Saturday, Intelsat said in a news release. Attempts were made to work with Boeing and repair the satellite, but on Monday, the U.S. Space Force confirmed that the satellite had exploded. And ROSCOSMOS was right on top of the story
Russia’s space agency, Roscosmos, said it had recorded "more than 80 fragments" of the destroyed satellite. Analysis of the pieces’ trajectory determined that the destruction of the satellite was "instantaneous and high-energy," Roscosmos said.
[JustTheNews] According to the local elected officials, a batch of 2,500 ballots is suspected to have large numbers of fraudulent registration forms.
In a fresh blow to Americans' confidence in elections, prosecutors in a key Pennsylvania county said Friday they had uncovered a large-scale scheme to submit fraudulent voter applications that were collected at shopping malls and other locations.
Lancaster District Attorney Heather Adams told a news conference that detectives have found about 60% of some 2,500 election registrations submitted in recent days to the county's election office were fraudulent.
"At this point, it is believed that the fraudulent voter registrations are connected to a large-scale canvassing operation for voter registrations that date back to June," Adams said.
The prosecutor said that while detectives continue to review applications they have confirmed fake names, identifications and signatures were used to submit applications and create potentially fake voters. In some cases, real voters' names were used but the voter said they neither approved nor signed the registrations.
"At this point we have confirmed violations of our crime code," Adams said.
She added that she was aware of at least two other counties that may have similar concerns about recent voter applications dropped off in large batches.
"Staff noticed that numerous applications appeared to have the same handwriting (and) were filled out on the same day," Adams said during the press conference.
“The confirmed indicators of fraud that detectives came across were inaccuracies with the addresses listed on the applications, fake and false personal identification information, as well as false names," she continued. "Also, applications that had names that did not match the provided Social Security information."
Lancaster is a politically influential county in the battleground state and home to a large Amish population that both parties have courted.
Pennsylvania's State Department, which oversees elections, praised Lancaster County for its quick actions.
"The Department has been in contact with the county and is offering support in its ongoing investigation. The Department applauds the efforts of the election staff for their diligent work in spotting this potential fraud and bringing it to the attention of law enforcement," the agency said in a statement.
"The Department guidance in cases like this is for counties to immediately contact law enforcement, which is exactly what Lancaster County officials did," the statement added.
The scheme uncovered in Lancaster County mirrors a similar operation that Michigan police uncovered in 2020 in Muskegon that was referred to the FBI, which has yet to announce any arrests or charges.

[GEO.TV] Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... (PTI) big shot Omar Ayub has categorically refuted rumours of any deal in relation to the release of party founder Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who anti-establishment Pak premier, who was hounded out of office, arrested, jailed, and will likely be hung by his political opponents... 's wife, Bushra Bibi.
Ayub, also the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, was addressing journalists in Sargodha on Friday, saying: "Bushra Bibi's release is not part of any deal."
He said that Imran's wife was kept in wrongful confinement and "now she is in a safe place". He further added that the Toshakhana case against the PTI founder was also false.
The politico's statement comes a day after Bushra, whose incarceration continued at the Adiala jail in a separate Toshakhana-2 case filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), was released from jail after spending around nine months behind bars.
She was initially held after being sentenced to 14 years in prison in January 2024 in the original Toshakhana case.
She was released a day after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted her bail against surety bonds worth Rs1 million in the new Toshakhana case.
The former first lady was arrested after a court on January 31 convicted and sentenced the couple to 14 years in prison after finding them guilty of retaining and selling state gifts in violation of government rules (Toshakhana case) while Khan was in power.
Her release was expedited compared to the usual legal process, as typically, when a robkar (release order) is issued, the imprisoned person is released within two hours. However,
a hangover is the wrath of grapes... Bushra Bibi was released in just 20 minutes.

Yes, yes — the country, not the state. Nonetheless, may the best candidate win.
The parliamentary elections in Georgia on October 26 will be truly fateful for the country. Georgians are making a choice not only in favor of certain domestic political, economic and social measures, but also determining the geopolitical future of the country. Most importantly, they have a chance to choose between peace and war.
In fact, this is what the leadership of the ruling party “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia” has been trying to explain to the population since 2012.
The current leadership has made war and peace the main issue of its election campaign. In September, businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili, founder of the Georgian Dream, went to Gori, which suffered greatly during the 2008 war. There, he promised to hold a “Nuremberg Trial” for the instigators of the war in South Ossetia and assured that Tbilisi would find the strength to apologize for the fact that Mikheil Saakashvili’s government, on instructions from outside, “enveloped Ossetian sisters and brothers in flames.”
Ivanishvili recently said that the West offered former Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili to start a war with Russia for 3-4 days. Ivanishvili's party uses photographs of war-torn cities in Ukraine in its campaign videos and banners. On one side of the stand are the ruins of Mariupol with the caption "No to war", and on the other side are rebuilt buildings and churches in Georgia with the caption "Choose peace".
Comparisons between war and peace are needed so that society can make the “right choice,” says Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. Kobakhidze presents the absence of new conflicts as the ruling party’s main achievement.
THE MAIN OPPOSITIONIST
The opposition, led by Saakashvili's party, renamed Unity - National Movement, uses any excuse to accuse the authorities of betrayal and collusion with Russia.
Its main election tool is to present the current government as “pro-Russian” (which is extremely toxic after the events of 2008), and businessman Ivanishvili as a “Russian oligarch.”
The laws on foreign agents and the ban on LGBT* propaganda adopted in parliament were called nothing less than “Russian” by Saakashvili’s supporters and their allies.
The country's president, French citizen Salome Zurabishvili, also uses these terms. Saakashvili is arrested and ill, and there is no bright figure among his fans - so she became the leader of the opposition.
Although Zurabishvili won the presidency in 2018 on the back of Georgian Dream, she has since made a U-turn, turning the presidency into a platform for criticizing the ruling party.
Thus, she fiercely criticized the law on foreign agents and expressed support for street protests. In her opinion, the ruling party's visual propaganda was made in a "KGB forge", and Zurabishvili calls Russia Georgia's main enemy: Moscow is allegedly waging a hybrid war against Tbilisi and preventing it from joining the EU. The president accuses the Georgian Dream of ignoring the "Russian threat".
According to experts, Zurabishvili expects to become the new prime minister if the opposition wins. It has already begun to unite dissatisfied forces around itself, offering them to sign the "Georgian Charter". The country's president proposes to repeal laws that hinder European integration.
MANY OPPONENTS
The main struggle in the elections was between the Georgian Dream on one side and four opposition alliances on the other.
The flagship of the opposition is a coalition of Saakashvili's Unity-National Movement party, along with two smaller parties, Strategy Agmashenebeli and European Georgia. Their campaign is clear even without reading the text, as the main points are printed on sheets of paper similar to an EU passport. Along with joining the EU, they call for improving the welfare of citizens, protecting pensioners, and cracking down on the "price mafia."
The second bloc is the "Coalition for Change". Its stronghold is the "Akhali" party, created by the former director general of the opposition TV channel "Rustavi 2" and former chairman of the "United National Movement" Nika Melia. The latter "became famous" for organizing the storming of parliament in the summer of 2019.
Then a Russian delegation headed by State Duma deputy Sergei Gavrilov arrived in Tbilisi to take part in the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (IAO). The opposition raised a fuss because Gavrilov, as the event's chairman, sat in the chair of the speaker of parliament. The authorities were accused of seating a representative of the "occupying country" in the place of honor, and mass rallies began in Georgia.
After that, there was chaos in the government, prime ministers and ministers resigned one after another. The trail of that story lasted until 2021. When the Georgian Dream began investigations and Melia and 10 of his supporters were arrested, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia did not agree with this decision and resigned.
The Coalition for Change also includes the Droa and Girchi – More Freedom parties, and the electoral list is headed by a person – a symbol of the demonstrations against the law on foreign agents, Nana Malashkhia. In March 2023, she waved the EU flag under a stream of water cannon. The main goal of this coalition is accession to the EU.
The third opposition coalition is Strong Georgia, its core is built around Mamuka Khazaradze's Lelo party. It is allied with Ana Dolidze 's For the People, Aleko Elisashvili 's Citizens and Levan Tsutskiridze's Freedom Square. For the sake of solidity, the alliance included former Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, although his name is not on the party list, as he does not want to engage in parliamentary activities.
The financial bigwigs are behind this alliance. Khazaradze is the head of the country's largest bank, TBC Bank. He entered politics after his bank came into conflict with the country's authorities, and the Anaklia deep-water port project that he and his business partner Badri Japaridze were implementing was stopped. At the moment, Khazaradze and Japaridze are in a semi-legal position, since a criminal case for fraud was opened against them two years ago.
The alliance calls its election campaign "The Path of Ilia", named after the famous Georgian writer Ilia Chavchavadze. It contains proposals to create 200,000 jobs and increase pensions, as well as a number of anti-Russian measures - restrictions on the sale of land to Russian citizens, a ban on cars with Russian license plates entering the country, and a ban on flights from Russia.
Gakharia, who resigned, defected to the opposition and heads the fourth bloc: “Gakharia is for Georgia.” Although he positions himself as a fighter against the Georgian Dream, Gakharia still has a “black mark”: in June 2019, when 200 demonstrators and journalists were injured during the dispersal of rallies near the parliament, Gakharia was the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The party’s stronghold is made up of the same defectors from the Georgian Dream.
Gakharia positions his party as a force independent of Saakashvili's supporters and contrasts it with the National Movement. Gakharia promises to strengthen democracy, a European future, create jobs, fight corruption, expand women's rights and get rid of "Russian occupation". The Georgian president tried to unite Strong Georgia with the bloc of former Prime Minister Gakharia, but the alliance failed.
PRE-ELECTION FORECASTS
The opposition decided to come out against the Georgian Dream as a whole. To avoid the risk of not getting into parliament due to the five percent barrier, the opposition political forces created alliances.
But will the four opposition alliances together be able to win a majority of votes? Opinion polls give very different forecasts.
The pro-government TV channel Imedi, citing the results of the GORBI company, estimates the chances of Georgian Dream at 60.2%. Saakashvili's Unity can claim 15.4%, the Coalition for Change - 9%. Strong Georgia and Gakharia - For Georgia with 3.3% and 2.9% remain on the sidelines.
Opposition sources have the opposite picture. Edison Research estimated the odds as follows: Georgian Dream - 34%, Unity - 18%, Coalition for Change - 14%, Gakharia for Georgia - 11%, Strong Georgia - 10%, Labor Party - 5%. That is, together the opposition parties have more than half the votes.
The poll by the Mtavari TV channel looks roughly the same: Georgian Dream has 35%, and the four opposition blocs have a combined 52%.
The results will show who will actually win the parliamentary elections on October 26. All forces are hoping for a high turnout. Although Georgian Dream believes in its success, its executive secretary Mamuka Mdinaradze warned against the euphoria that arose after the Imedi poll. Supporters of the ruling party should not celebrate success prematurely.
“Our supporters are 80% motivated, and if we have potentially a million votes, then if the remaining 20% with low motivation do not come to the elections, we will not get a constitutional majority, but an absolute catastrophe,” he said.
Gakharia also asked all supporters to go to the polls. If the number of voters exceeds 2 million people, the Dream will receive no more than 30%, since its ceiling is 600 thousand votes, the former prime minister claims.
FOREIGN INTERESTS
It is an obvious fact that the EU and the US have done and are doing everything to ensure that the opposition wins. The EU has already announced that it is suspending Georgia's European integration. The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, explained this decision by the government's actions, which "distance the country from the European path and indicate a shift towards authoritarianism." The European Union suspended grants to Georgian municipalities in October.
The US has already imposed several packages of sanctions against security officials, representatives and leaders of the Georgian Dream party. In July, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the freezing of financial aid to the Georgian government in the amount of more than $95 million.
Despite the establishment of pragmatic relations with Russia, the refusal to join sanctions and the opening of air traffic with Russian cities, joining the EU and NATO are priorities of the Georgian Dream. So, the suspension of European integration should harm the reputation of Ivanishvili's party.
The second obvious fact is that the opposition will never admit its defeat.
The West has already prepared the ground for this. On October 1, observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) were outraged that some NGOs were not allowed to monitor the elections.
Ten days later, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) released a report suggesting the elections would be "undemocratic." There is allegedly a lack of trust in state institutions on the part of the opposition, and the rights of association and expression are insufficiently protected. ODIHR complains of "intimidation tactics" against the opposition by the government.
The Kobakhidze government has no illusions about Western interference. Will it really remain passive in the elections if they personally threatened Kobakhidze with reprisals and helped the opposition prepare an assassination attempt on Ivanishvili?
Saakashvili's party has vast experience in accusing the authorities of falsifications in parliamentary and municipal elections. They will definitely use such an instrument this time. The "falsification" argument should become a trigger for new large-scale protests, the ultimate goal of which is a repeat of the "Rose Revolution" of 2003.
But if this does not help, we cannot rule out the scenario of a civil war, which, as the Ukrainian experience shows, occurs as soon as demonstrators are killed. The opposition is already rehearsing a scenario with a sacred victim: the day before, Gakharia accused the Georgian Dream of attacking a member of his party, Levan Gogichaishvili, at one of the metro stations.
RUSSIA IS CAUTIOUS
Keeping the pragmatic Georgian Dream in power is entirely in Russia's interests. The ruling party there is establishing ties between the countries, fighting against the destructive attempts of the West to turn Georgia into another "anti-Russia" and giving hope for a peaceful solution to the problems of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The arrival of Saakashvili's supporters leads to the risk of another war and the opening of a "second front".
Despite all its sympathies for Ivanishvili's party, Russia, unlike the West, knows how to restrain its emotions. This is understandable: due to the high level of anti-Russian sentiment, Moscow's support would have the opposite effect and harm the prestige of the Georgian Dream.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reiterates that Russia has no intention of interfering in the elections and is not doing so. However, senior government officials are warning the republic of future disasters.
Thus, the head of the SVR, Sergei Naryshkin, expressed hope that the people of Georgia will make the right choice, despite pressure from the West. In August, the SVR prepared a report that the US was preparing a "Maidan" in Georgia. Russia would like to prevent attempts at a color revolution, Naryshkin said at the time.
The situation in the South Caucasus is already quite difficult for Russia. Armenia is rapidly moving towards Europe and is becoming increasingly anti-Russian. If border Georgia returns to the same path, Moscow's influence in the region will weaken significantly.

[Breitbart] A United Nations helicopter was hit by several rounds of gunfire while flying over Haiti on Thursday, forcing the chopper to land in the capital of Port-au-Prince.
U.N. officials declined to comment on the incident on the record. A U.N. source anonymously told the Associated Press (AP) that no one was injured by the attack, which was one of the more brazen assaults launched against international observers and peacekeepers by the gangs running amok in Haiti.
The AP’s source said the helicopter was carrying three crew and 15 passengers at the time of the attack.
Another source provided CNN with photos showing “at least eight bullet holes on the helicopter’s fuselage, and what appears to be its rotor system.” These photos showed the helicopter was clearly marked as a U.N. aircraft, specifically belonging to the World Food Program (WFP).
“Humanitarian air transport is essential to delivering a response across Haiti,” the WFP said in a statement. Air transport is necessary, in part, because gang attacks have made Haiti’s roads so dangerous.
The WFP canceled its planned helicopter flights for Friday and a source told CNN that U.S. airlines are considering halting flights to Port-au-Prince again, as they did for three months after a surge of gang violence in March.
Two armored vehicles belonging to the U.S. Embassy in Haiti were attacked on Tuesday by gunmen belonging to the 400 Mawozo and Chen Mechan gangs. As with the helicopter incident, no injuries were reported from the attack.
“The United States maintains its strong condemnation against ongoing gang violence aimed at destabilizing Haiti’s government and jeopardizing a future of peace and security for the Haitian people,” the State Department said when confirming the attack.
The Miami Herald quoted a source who said one of the vehicles targeted by the gangsters belonged to the U.S. chief of mission in Haiti. This armored car was not hit by any of the gunfire, but the other one was struck by several rounds, shattering its back glass.
The Miami Herald noted that gang boss Jimmy “The Barbecue” Cherizier has mentioned the U.S. Embassy in weird and threatening ways in some of his recent social media videos. In one of those videos, he claimed he was invited to a meeting at the embassy and was offered a U.S. visa. The State Department denied both of those claims.
CBS News reported on Thursday that twenty members of the U.S. embassy attack were evacuated following the car attack in Port-au-Prince.
[Breitbart] Washington Post editor-at-large Robert Kagan resigned from his job on Friday after the paper announced that it would not be endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election.
Max Tani, a media editor with Semafor, wrote in a post on X that Kagan had confirmed to him that he had “resigned from the Post following” the paper’s decision to not issue an endorsement of either Harris or former President Donald Trump. To spend more time with his wife, Victoria Nuland?
In an opinion piece written by William Lewis, a publisher and chief executive officer for the newspaper, the Post explained that they were “returning to” their “roots of not endorsing presidential candidates.”
The Washington Post will not be making an endorsement of a presidential candidate in this election. Nor in any future presidential election. We are returning to our roots of not endorsing presidential candidates.
As our Editorial Board wrote in 1960:
“The Washington Post has not ‘endorsed’ either candidate in the presidential campaign. That is in our tradition and accords with our action in five of the last six elections. The unusual circumstances of the 1952 election led us to make an exception when we endorsed General Eisenhower prior to the nominating conventions and reiterated our endorsement during the campaign. In the light of hindsight we retain the view that the arguments for his nomination and election were compelling. But hindsight also has convinced us that it might have been wiser for an independent newspaper in the Nation’s Capital to have avoided formal endorsement.”
Former executive editor for the Washington Post, Marty Baron criticized the newspaper’s decision to not endorse a candidate as being “cowardice” and wrote that Trump would “see this as an invitation to further intimidate” Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos.
The non-endorsement of Harris in the election comes after the Los Angeles Times, the hometown newspaper of Harris, also refused to endorse a candidate, despite previously endorsing President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former President Barack Obama.
Harris has also faced non-endorsements from the Teamsters Union, even though polling showed that nearly 60 percent of the Teamsters members supported Trump, while 34 percent expressed support for Harris.

Instaprof has a theory that this is the Clintonistas revenge. It's payback for the Obama sect of the party and 2008. Thinking that Kamala losing big will undermine that part of the Party.

Funny none seemed interested in resigning after they printed bull about the laptop, Russian election lies, or ignoring Biden’s dementia….. I could go on but Rantburgers know what I am saying.
[PJMEDIA] A 17-year-old in Peoria, Ariz., has been arrested over his plans to load up a drone with explosives and send it into the Phoenix Pride parade. He was hoping to "bomb 2024 Pride Parade and take over USA" and said that he had ordered bomb-making equipment. He was, however, discovered and stopped before he could carry out his attack. Still, you should have heard about a terror plot of this magnitude, yet the establishment media is maintaining near-radio silence about it.
Now, foiled attacks always get less attention than ones that are successful, and that’s why you likely haven’t heard about this particular plot, but there is another reason as well: the perpetrator was not a "white supremacist" gun nut who could be easily shoehorned into the left’s standard narrative about supposed "right-wing" violence.
Instead, Marvin Aneer Jalo was an Islamic jihadist, coming at a time when the left’s alliance with Islamic groups is fraught with tension over the Biden-Harris regime’s failure to betray Israel as thoroughly as Moslem leaders have been demanding they do, as well as over social issues, with many Moslems furious over the left’s unshakeable determination to embrace and normalize every fantasy, delusion and perversion that comes down the pike. So this was just the worst time for a Moslem to plot to blow up a Pride Parade, and that’s why you’re likely to hear about this plot only here.
AZFamily reported Wednesday that Jalo was arrested last Friday, the first day of the LGBTQEIEIO Pride Parade in Phoenix. Due to the gravity of his plans, he is "being charged as an adult with terrorism and conspiracy to commit terrorism, both class 2 felonies." It seems that the precocious young fellow "started communicating in internet chat rooms in 2023 with people he described as holy warriors who were recruiting him."
The "extremists" in question were jihadis from the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS), and Jalo was more than willing to be recruited. He "reportedly posted that they could ’bomb 2024 Pride Parade and take over USA.’" The "take over USA" part was more than a little grandiose, but they certainly could have carried out the plot to bomb the Pride Parade. Jalo also "later said he was having supplies shipped to him to make explosives."
On his phone, the aspiring jihad terrorist had "numerous photos of firearms and an instructional video depicting an ISIS fighter making the explosive Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP)." That’s another reason why you won’t hear much, if anything, about this plot. Up until Tim Walz ...Kamala's smarmy-looking running mate, governor of Minnesota, who decided to retired rather than to deploy with his National Guard unit, then claimed to have been in Iraq and Afghanistan. One man's socialism is another man's neighborliness.... and Adam Kinzinger discovered their love for guns, however inept they are at handling them, the left’s sole interest in firearms involved strategizing about how to circumvent the Second Amendment and take them away from law-abiding civilians. If Jalo hadn’t been a jihadi, leftist media organs would have given this story massive attention as yet another indication that Americans can’t be trusted with weapons.
But Islamic jihadists who use firearms, or just save photos of them for future reference, don’t qualify to become part of the left’s exhibit on how bad guns really are. Moslem leaders are enraged at Kamala Harris who got her start in politix between former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's' knees for the Biden-Harris regime’s continued claims to support Israel; though the regime has betrayed Israel left and right, this never seems to placate them. The leftist establishment doesn’t dare risk enraging Moslem voters further by giving any notice to a jihad plot, much less to one against a Pride Parade.
Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs (D-Of Course), meanwhile, was a parade grand marshal and issued this pro forma statement: "I’m shocked and horrified at the alleged plot to attack innocent Arizonans and members of the LGBTQ community who attended the Phoenix Pride festival, and I’m grateful for the swift actions taken by law enforcement to prevent a potential tragedy. Arizonans must come together to reject hate wherever we find it. I was proud to serve as Grand Marshall of the Phoenix Pride parade this year, and I’ll continue to stand with the LGBTQ community in the face of bigotry and violent mostly peaceful extremism."

[MAIL] Israel launched a series of retaliatory strikes on Iran early on Saturday morning, while blasts also reportedly hit Syria and Iraq.
IDF forces announced on social media it was conducting 'precise strikes' on military targets in Tehran in response to what it called 'the continuous attacks from the regime in Iran against Israel.'
Several hours later, the Israeli military announced that it has completed its strikes on the Iranian capital, saying: 'Our planes have safely returned home. The retaliatory strike has been completed and the mission was fulfilled.'
The strikes hit roughly 20 sites over the course of the night, according to the New York Times.
It came in retaliation for Iran's attack on October 1, in which around 200 ballistic missiles were fired at Israel - in Iran's second direct attack on Israel in six months.
Hot Air has more about the targets here, with multiple updates.

Hezbollah called on media unions and syndicates to condemn the Israeli crime and to work in a bid to final criminal complaints against the Zionist enemy.
''We are fully confident that this crime won't prevent free and honorable media outlets from covering the Israeli aggression and revealing truth of the heroic epics secured by the resistance fighters,'' the statement read.
Hezbollah, meanwhile, offered condolences to al-Manar Channel and al-Mayadeen Network over martyrdom of their staff members, wishing speedy recovery for those who were maimed.
Al-Manar cameraman Wissam Qassem as well as camera operator Ghassan Najjar and engineer Mohammed Reda of al-Mayadeen Network were martyred at dawn on Friday in Israeli attack on their guesthouses in Hasbaya.

[NewsFront] 23:00 There is an advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the area of the settlement of Kremknaya Balka and the settlement of Novoselidovka. 21:20 Information about the assault in Selidovo:
The fifth day of the assault on one of the key cities of the Pokrovsk agglomeration is coming to an end. The enemy, out of fear, is already preparing to defend Pokrovsk and even Pavlograd.
Enemy: Syrsky has completely lost control over the situation in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhovsk directions.
Highway E-50 to the fork to Pokrovsk. We got a little closer to the fork. The highway is under constant fire 24/7, the enemy will not be able to physically get through it (if they are lucky, of course). We are standing on the approaches to the fork, if we get there, we will cut off the Pokrovsk-Selidovo connection.
Air raid to the settlement of Vishnevoe. Just like E-50, under constant fire. Retreating along it is not the best option for the AFU, besides, in the settlement itself our assault forces are actively fighting.
City limits: 11th microdistrict, practically below us, the enemy is retreating in a hurry to a one-story building on the western outskirts of the city. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trapped, all attempts to escape from the city are lethal due to the fact that the only route (to Vishnevoe is not an option, not at all) is the E-50 retreat to Pokrovsk under heavy fire.
The area south of Selidovo, the village of Novodmitrovka, Vishnevo. Assault operations continue. We can say for sure that full control over the eastern part of Novodmitrovka has been established, the flag of the Russian Federation has been hoisted.

For years Israel has been hunting Iranian arms transshipped via in Syria for Hezbollah, the Syrian Arab Army being completely unable to stop them, even with Russian anti-aircraft equipment. No point in Syria trying to more directly fight an unwinnable battle
[REGNUM] A year later, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is expanding its borders.
In early October 2024, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a ground operation in southern Lebanon. Even though the advance in some areas was only a few hundred meters, the operation caused enormous damage to the Land of the Cedars.
Moreover, it demonstrated Israel's unwillingness to stop hostilities, which means the risk of the current conflict spreading to other territories is quite high.
ANOTHER POTENTIAL FRONT COULD BE SYRIA (SAR).
Since last autumn, the expert community and the media have been talking about the possibility of military actions spreading to its territory. However, the country's authorities are exercising maximum caution and are not escalating.
Although Syria is a member of the Iranian "Axis of Resistance" project, Damascus is trying in every way not to get involved in the current conflict. The army is not involved in combat operations, and support for the Palestinian and Lebanese "resistances" is mostly declarative.
Moreover, unlike the Lebanese Hezbollah, which began striking Israeli targets as early as October 8, 2023, the pro-Iranian militias located in the SAR practically do not strike the territory of the Jewish state, and most of their attacks are concentrated on American military bases.
The chosen political course of the Syrian government has become the reason for various rumors.
Thus, the Israeli publication Be-hadrei Haredim published an article about how Syrian President Bashar al-Assad allegedly sent a message to Iran and Hezbollah. It says that Syria does not want to be drawn into the war in Lebanon. This information immediately became the reason for various rumors about Damascus distancing itself from Tehran.
IS SYRIA DISTANCING ITSELF FROM IRAN?
First of all, the information presented in the pages of the ultra-Orthodox Hasidic newspaper should be divided into two. The authors are passing off wishful thinking as reality.
Today, there is no talk of Syria distancing itself from Iran, nor is there any reduction in the Islamic Republic’s influence within the country.
Over the 13 years of the internal Syrian armed conflict, Tehran has been able to deeply penetrate many spheres of life in the SAR.
In addition to the military presence that is most often discussed, Iran has seriously entrenched itself in the economy. Key economic facilities of the state have come under its control. Iranian goods are present on the shelves of almost all Syrian stores.
In addition, Tehran has formed a network of various cultural and social structures working with the local population and creating a layer of Iranian-oriented citizens.
Moreover, Syria has a direct dependence on Iran in the energy sector.
The SAR has been experiencing an energy crisis for several years now, due to a fuel shortage. The reason is that more than 80% of Syrian oil is produced in the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria (AASVS), which is controlled by the Kurdish authorities. After the United States imposed a de facto embargo on Damascus on exports from the Euphrates region, there is an acute shortage of fuel in areas under government control.
Under current conditions, Syria is dependent on external energy supplies, most of which are provided with the help of Iran.
It is noteworthy that the course chosen by the Syrian authorities in the current conflict seems to suit Tehran.
A few days after the start of Israel's ground operation in southern Lebanon, the Iranian Foreign Minister visited Damascus. In his statement, Abbas Araghchi deliberately did not mention Syria among the parties to the conflict, mentioning only the Palestinian and Lebanese "resistance". The position presented is consistent with the words of the late Hassan Nasrallah.
The former Hezbollah Secretary General said that Syria is unable and unwilling to participate in military operations. However, its role is limited to indirect support, which involves ensuring the transit of cargo for the Lebanese party through its territory.
Thus, the members of the "Axis of Resistance" understand the real capabilities of Damascus and do not demand that it enter the conflict. Therefore, it is hardly possible to say that Syria has distanced itself from Iran. Most likely, its position was coordinated with a key ally.
SYRIA'S POSITION
Hassan Nasrallah accurately explained the political course chosen by Damascus.
After 13 years of its own armed conflict, the Syrian economy is unable to withstand intensive military operations, and therefore the SAR leadership does not want to participate in them. Today, the country already has a lot of unresolved problems, and the key one is the severe socio-economic crisis.
The SAR army is exhausted and does not have the ability to fight on its neighbor's territory as during the First Lebanon War.
Moreover, the escalating conflict in the Land of the Cedars has already caused great damage to the Syrian economy.
Hundreds of thousands of refugees have moved to the SAR. According to the UN, as of October 20, their number exceeded 420 thousand people. Moreover, more than half are Syrians who fled to Lebanon several years earlier, escaping from the civil war.
In addition, existing trade relations were disrupted.
Beirut is a major hub for Damascus's imports. But today, cross-border trade has slowed significantly after Israel destroyed several border crossings.
The disruption of supply chains has caused prices to rise for many categories of goods, but most of all for fuel. A liter of gasoline is sold at 25,000 lira (about $1.50). At the same time, the jump in fuel prices has had an indirect impact on the cost of other essential goods.
Given the overall situation in Syria, the government's reluctance to get involved in a confrontation with Israel is understandable.
Damascus is interested in survival, and participation in the conflict will completely destroy the existing fragile peace. Meanwhile, Assad can present his course as agreement with the proposal of the Arab countries. Earlier, the media reported that the UAE asked the SAR to remain neutral and refrain from escalation.
The Gulf monarchies have long sought to reduce Iran's influence in Syria and synchronize its foreign policy in accordance with their course. At the current stage, the Arabian states advocate non-intervention in the conflict and its de-escalation.
Given the ability of the Syrian authorities to balance between several centers of power, it is quite likely that Damascus will try to turn the current situation to its advantage and use it to speed up the process of normalization with Arab countries.

[Regnum] In the Russian military-historical archive, one of the first decrees of Emperor Peter II, signed by him in 1727, was replaced, the Telegram channel " 112 " reported, citing an informed source.
The substitution was discovered by the deputy director of the archive, Vasilisa Denisova. "The decree of Emperor Peter II to the Military Collegium on the removal of Famentsyn from the post of commandant of St. Petersburg and the appointment of Prince G. A. Urusov in his place. September 9, 1727" is a dummy, the material says.
It is not yet known who and when replaced the document. Law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation, the authors also noted.
Thank goodness they noticed. Here’s hoping the original is quickly found and is unharmed.
Peter II (grandson of Peter I, son of Tsarevich Alexei) was born in 1715 and ascended the throne in 1727. Three years later he died of smallpox.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, earlier in October, Moscow residents received an additional opportunity to search for information about their ancestors and compile a family tree - they can be found in the capital's Main Archive, which published documents from 1812 in the virtual museum "Moscow - with care for history."
Earlier, an archive was discovered in Moscow that could have belonged to the writer and journalist Vladimir Gilyarovsky. The materials were handed over to the city's cultural heritage department by one of Moscow's historians. He acquired the archives at a book stall. Among the artifacts found were letters addressed to Gilyarovsky, business cards, notes written in his hand, articles, essays, and reviews.

Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
