[DC] The Supreme Court allowed Virginia on Wednesday to remove individuals identified as noncitizens from the voter rolls.
The justices paused a lower court order preventing officials from removing around 1,600 individuals who the state said "self-identified" as noncitizens.
Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Ketanji Brown Jackson and Elena Kagan would not have granted Virginia’s request, according to the order. Of course

Disenfranchising natural born citizens by allowing foreign expatriates to vote in our elections should be a hangable offense.
Laws need to be reviewed. What we are seeing is unconscionable. Leadership and Organizers needs to held accountable. We need to stop tolerating the people who would destroy us.
[JustTheNews] The report published Monday by the watchdog office warned that the deficiency—which includes limited authority and poor understanding of procedures—could result in "unnecessary injury or loss of life" in the event of a physical threat.
The Department of Homeland Security Inspector General found that Federal Protective Service Protective Security Officers, the key force responsible for security in federal buildings, were often unprepared to deal with physical threats, like active shooters or other attacks.
The report published Monday by the watchdog office warned that the deficiency—which includes limited authority and poor understanding of procedures—could result in "unnecessary injury or loss of life" in the event of a physical threat at the federal buildings guarded by the force.
During several post visits from 2019 to 2022, inspectors found the officers in different buildings did not always know proper procedures, like how to respond to active shooters or bomb threats. Additionally, investigators found the officers did not always have the required equipment to respond to physical threats, noting missing weapons or gear on some site visits.
The inspector general also warned that federal regulations often prevent officers from actively responding to a threat and instead require that they wait for and take orders from other law enforcement.
The assessment comes as Americans are increasingly concerned about political violence both before and after the contentious 2024 presidential election. New polling data finds 4 in 10 Americans are specifically concerned about potentially violent attempts to overturn the results of the election.
The watchdog office recommended that the Federal Protective Service implement "training and supervisory monitoring" to improve the officers' knowledge.

, how about you start upholding election laws instead of spending all your time gaslighting the rest of us about how safe and secure our elections are? We The Voters of this state would really appreciate it. Exactly one week from now, we will finally vote to restore Trump back to the White House to bring these crooks to justice.

As long as voting machines are used in elections there will be legitimate concerns about election integrity, especially if said machines are controlled by Democrat Secretaries of State. Voting machines should be outlawed throughout the United States.

Paper ballots and in person voting on a specific election day together with transparent public vote counting are a reasonable insurance against material fraud that changes outcomes.
Any deviation from this tried and true recipe will enable fraud and erode the ability of Western nations to peacefully transfer power.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The White House launched into panic mode on Tuesday night after Joe Biden branded Donald Trump supporters 'garbage'.
The president was speaking to a Latino advocacy group when he made the gaffe that drew instant comparisons to Hillary Clinton's infamous dismissal of Trump voters as 'deplorables' in 2016.
'Just the other day, a speaker at [Trump's] rally called Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage,"' Biden, 81, told a Latino advocacy group.
'The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters, his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American. It's totally contrary to everything we've done, everything we've been.'
In a desperate attempt to clean up the president's mess, a White House spokesman issued a damage-control statement that added an apostrophe to the word 'supporter's' to imply that Biden was only referring to one person - comedian Tony Hinchcliffe who made a joke about Puerto Rico being an 'island of garbage.'
But Biden's gaffe sparked immediate fury from MAGA fans, with Trump himself saying he thought it was 'worse' than Clinton's now-infamous 2016 rant.
Biden said in a cleanup statement: 'Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump's supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage — which is the only word I can think of to describe it.
'His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That's all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don't reflect who we are as a nation.'
However, people on both sides of the aisle were either perplexed or outraged with the president's statement.
Trump seized on Biden's gaffe as news of it broke during the Republican candidate's rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Tuesday night.
'Wow, that's what [Biden] says… garbage. I think it's worse [than deplorables],' Trump told thousands of fans.
'Please forgive him for he knoweth not what he say. Honestly he doesn't. And I'm convinced that he likes me more than he likes Kamala.'
Democrats immediately began distancing themselves from the president.
Trump's allies also quickly piled on criticism of Biden's comments. His running mate, JD Vance, made several tweets furious about the incident, writing: 'Kamala Harris and Joe Biden ought to be ashamed of themselves.'
He added: 'A mother mourning her son who died of a fentanyl overdose is not garbage. A truck driver who can't afford rising diesel prices is not garbage. A father who wants to afford groceries is not garbage.'
Trump's campaign social media account posted the video and commented: 'When Joe wakes up and wonders why his intern tweeted this — we will leave this here as a reminder.'

'Well Done': An APB Is Put Out for 'Dr.' Jill After Joe Biden's Latest Kamala Harris Sabotage
"I love that every time Kamala gets a little head of steam, worth about 2 hours of a news cycle, Biden swoops in with some bonehead move and changes the narrative.
[FoxNews] A bill by Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., would shut down a slew of Biden-era moves to allow migrants into the U.S. or to be protected from deportation, as Republicans look to a potential political upheaval next year to change the direction of U.S. immigration policy.
Banks is introducing the End Executive Branch Amnesty Act, which would take aim at the Biden administration’s use of humanitarian parole to allow migrants into the U.S., and to limit the use of Temporary Protected Status to protect them from deportation.
The Biden administration, as part of its efforts to expand lawful pathways for migration to curb the ongoing migrant crisis at the border, has used parole to allow in 1,450 migrants a day using the CBP One app at the border. It has also allowed over 500,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela into the U.S. to fly into the U.S. using a separate program.
The Biden administration says those programs have worked to limit migration and provide an orderly process at the border. Republicans have claimed that the moves represent an abuse of parole to allow in otherwise inadmissible foreign nationals. The CHNV program was briefly paused after DHS found evidence of fraud from sponsors.
"It is a key element of our efforts to address the unprecedented level of migration throughout our hemisphere, and other countries around the world see it as a model to tackle the challenge of increased irregular migration that they too are experiencing," Homeland Security Secretary Alejando Mayorkas said earlier this year.
Separately, the Biden administration has used Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to allow migrants from countries facing conflict and hardship to remain protected from deportation, including countries like Venezuela and Haiti.
Critics have pointed to towns like Charleroi, Pa., Springfield, Ohio, and Logansport, Indiana as examples of parts of the country that have struggled with an influx of migrants who have been paroled.
Banks’ bill would restrict TPS designations by requiring Congress to approve them for 12 month terms, and requiring additional moves by Congress to extend them.
The bill would also limit parole to a hard cap of 1,000 a year, significantly reduced from the hundreds of thousands allowed currently. Parole would also only be allowed for limited circumstances like emergency medical cases.
The bill would also impose stricter eligibility and placement criteria for unaccompanied children amid reports of UACs being lost track of by authorities. Meanwhile, the use of DHS documents like Notices to Appear and CBP One app would be barred from being used for airport security checks.
While the bill would face a tough challenge in a Democratic-controlled Senate and would almost certainly be vetoed by President Biden or Harris, the bill would likely draw significant support in Republican-controlled chambers and executives.
"The Biden-Harris administration has abused the laws on the books to grant millions of non-citizens legal status. Republicans must restore our immigration system to Congress’s original intent and ensure parole is only used as a last-ditch humanitarian measure to help foreign nationals in times of catastrophe," Banks said in a statement.
Banks mentioned Logansport, which is in his state of Indiana, and which has seen an estimated 5,000 Haitian migrants in a few years -- in addition to the millions who have crossed the southern border.
The bill comes with days left before Election Day, and with Vice President Harris and former President Trump dueling over who is the better candidate for border security and immigration. Harris has pointed to a recent but sharp drop in border encounters under the Biden administration and has hammered Trump for failing to back a bipartisan security bill to increase funding for the border. Trump claims that the border crisis is due to the Biden administration's rolling back of his policies, and has promised to restore many of them and launch a campaign of mass deportation.

If Republicans take over both houses of Congress on Jan. 3, the most straightforward thing they could is impeach both Biden and Kamala for the "high crime" and/or "misdemeanor" of the regime's border fiasco. Just railroad it through.

Residents of Baalbek are rushing out of their homes after the IDF ordered Lebanon’s main eastern city and its outskirts evacuated for the first time in more than a month of war.
The Israeli army urged residents of Baalbek and surrounding villages to leave immediately, warning it is preparing attacks on Hezbollah targets.
The main roads out of the city are jammed with vehicles as civilians flee in panic.
Civil defense vehicles drive around the city urging everyone to leave immediately over loudspeaker.
“The city is almost empty,” the correspondent says about an hour after the evacuation warning.

It's honourable that Israel warns civilians to flee
but won't the Islamists also just flee? then you'll only be bombing the infrastructure?
They have been great at precision targeting the organisational heads with walkie-talkies and so forth I guess that means the bombing is just for the buildings?

My question, too, Anon1. But the IDF have been killing enough Hezbollah senior and midlevel officers that clearly they aren’t escaping despite the warning. Maybe they’re refusing to leave out of pride?

The board’s vote came after it received about 300 public comments urging the district, which encompasses six counties, to stop promoting the shots.
Just before the board voted, members heard presentations from cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough, pathologist Dr. Ryan Cole, pediatrician Dr. Renata Moon and obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. James Thorp on safety concerns related to the COVID-19 vaccines.
Dr. John Tribble, the board’s only physician, invited them to speak.

Rather than get vaccines on an ad hoc basis, maybe we could employ the economies of scale and get all the vaccines at once in one big super-shot. It would either kill you or give you super resistance to *everything*. Might even get some super-powers if they mix in a little radioactive spider venom.
[LawEnforcementToday] WASHINGTON, DC - As days pass, it appears that whoever was charged with vetting Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz either didn’t do their homework or didn’t care. At the same time, it’s been revealed that the daughter of a Chinese Communist Party official had an affair with Walz while he was teaching in China in the late 1980s, it’s been revealed that a Department of Homeland Security official told colleagues that Walz’s selection "feeds into" activities conducted by China "with him and local government." He further warned that Beijing could use Walz to exert influence on U.S. policy, Fox News reports.
[IsraelTimes] German prosecutors say they have charged a 25-year-old man with plotting a deadly Islamist attack on a Jewish institution.
The German suspect, who was arrested in May and who was not named, was allegedly ready to die and planned to release a video blaming Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s support for Israel for the attack.
Two co-accused, men aged 18 and 25, have been charged with aiding and abetting the murder plot targeting a Jewish institution in either Frankfurt or Heidelberg.
Prosecutors say the main suspect flew to Turkey in April with the intention of crossing to Syria to join Islamist fighters, but then abandoned the plan and returned to Germany. Back home, the man from the Heilbronn area in southwest Germany allegedly exchanged ideas with the 18-year-old, a dual German-Turkish citizen, about what was meant to be a deadly attack.
“The motive was hatred of people of the Jewish faith,” prosecutors in Stuttgart say.
When police moved to arrest the main suspect in May, he allegedly attacked them with knives and was shot in the arm and leg. He was charged in September with attempted manslaughter.
The third suspect, also a 25-year-old German from around Heilbronn, is accused of driving the main suspect to the airport for the Turkey flight and of being aware of his plans.
Okaaaay…The timing of this is exceedingly odd. First, the attack was fully thirty years ago, so why announce a reward now? And second, why announce it less than a week before election day, when the Biden-Harris administration has been doing their best to protect Iran and Iran’s catspaws from Israeli retaliation for current attacks? The only thing I can think of is that the IDF came across compelling evidence of Hezbollah culpability as they took possession of Hezbollah files in one of the tunnels — and managed to pressure the administration into offering a reward for information.

"It was an extremely tragic day of indescribable pain for the families of the victims. Hopefully, at some point, those responsible can be brought to trial," she added.

[REGNUM] On October 27, Bulgaria held its seventh parliamentary elections in the last two years. The degree of tension is indicated by the fact that one of the parties stumbled over the barrier when entering the latest protocols of the election commissions into the CEC system.
Thus, the final result of the small Eurosceptic party "Greatness" fell to 3.999% (with a passing threshold of 4%), as a result of which it will lose its parliamentary faction.
WINNERS AND COALITIONS
The formal winner of the election race was the center-right bloc "GERB - Union of Democratic Forces" (GERB-SDS) headed by former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov. In the People's Assembly of the 51st convocation, its supporters will receive 69 of 240 mandates.
Their objective ally is the second-place winner, another pro-Western bloc, Continue Changes – Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB). This left-liberal alliance won 37 seats.
It is obvious that the votes of these two pro-Western political forces are not enough to form a coalition. To overcome the protracted political crisis, they clearly need a third partner.
Previously, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) acted as such. Its specificity lies in its reliance on national and religious minorities (mainly ethnic Turks and Muslim Bulgarians).
While the leadership of the liberal pro-Western parties in Bulgaria was undisputed, the DPS limited itself to the role of an informal situational ally. But as the support of the "Westerners" weakened, their former junior partner began to claim equal status. Moreover, in the last elections, in June 2024, the DPS even received a "silver" result, overtaking the PP-DB in popularity.
But the image of the pro-Turkish party of the democratic coalition does not correspond at all. Not only is the honorary president of the DPS the oligarch Ahmed Dogan, who is odious to the liberal public, but also the official leader of the movement Delyan Peevski has been convicted of corruption. In the US and UK, the latter is officially a figure in the "Magnitsky list".
After the previous parliamentary elections, when there was talk of creating a pro-Western coalition, the Anglo-Saxon-oriented PP-DB bloc openly stated that it would not join the alliance if Peevski was a member. Largely because of this, the liberals failed to agree on a coalition government four months ago.
When the new election race began, a very timely split occurred in the DPS. It was caused by an attempt by the old leaders, led by Dogan, to get rid of Peevski. However, he received unexpectedly large support in a number of local branches of the party and the parliamentary faction. Behind the desire to remove Peevski was the desire to make the formation of a “Euro-Atlantic” coalition in the 51st People’s Assembly less problematic.
However, the initiators of this plan clearly miscalculated. Peevski developed such an energetic activity that the association he headed, "DPS - New Beginning" (DPS-NN), was able to obtain the fourth result in the elections - 30 seats. Dogan's supporters, who went to the elections under the brand "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" (APS), received only 19 mandates.
Thus, if we add up the resources of GERB-SDS, PP-DB and APS, the three of them have 125 votes. This is barely enough to form a coalition (at least 121 mandates. - Ed.). Moreover, the process of disengagement of the two wings of the DPS has not yet been completed, and Dogan may experience an outflow of supporters.
STRENGTHENING THE PRESIDENT
Despite all the tension, the parliamentary elections that took place were notable for their low turnout. Less than 39% of voters came to the ballot box. Moreover, a certain portion of them, according to a number of observers, were “bought votes.”
For example, even before the vote, a statement was circulated by the Bulgarian hacker group "Elfi" about the planned mass purchase of voters' votes. The operation was allegedly being prepared by a community of 200 people led by Peevski. Moreover, all 200 names were made public. A significant part of the list consisted of people with a criminal past.
Law enforcement agencies failed to detect major voter fraud, but apparently it was not without it. According to the findings of the Alpha Research company, the Roma voted especially actively for Peevsky's movement. In the total number of votes cast for DPS-NN, the share of representatives of this ethnic group was 25%, despite the fact that its representatives are usually not distinguished by an active civic position.
Thanks in large part to the phenomenal success of Peevski's newly formed political party, the leader of the victorious political bloc Borisov has another coalition option. In addition to GERB-SDS, DPS-NN, it could include the Socialist Party and the populist party "There is such a people".
Borisov himself hinted that such an option is not excluded in his first speech after the results were announced. According to the former prime minister, his party is ready to cooperate with all political forces represented in parliament, with the exception of Vozrozhdenie.
The Revival Party is considered the largest "pro-Russian" force in Bulgaria and took third place in the recent elections, receiving a faction of 35 deputies. Moreover, the gap with second place was minimal. In a number of electoral districts in Bulgaria, the Russophiles came in second, and at some point it seemed that the Russophiles could bypass the left-liberals from PP-DB on a national scale. However, third place is also a serious success for Revival.
At foreign polling stations, the Bulgarian diaspora in Russia and Moldova voted especially actively for this party. "Renaissance" was preferred by 64% of Bulgarians, who mainly live compactly in the Taraclia region of Moldova and in Gagauzia. So it is not difficult to predict the preferences of the Bulgarian community already in the second round of the presidential elections in the Republic of Moldova on November 3.
Thus, the process of creating a ruling coalition in the newly elected Bulgarian parliament promises to be difficult. The reduction in the number of parliamentary parties slightly improves the starting positions of the participants due to the redistribution of the votes of "Greatness", but does not guarantee success.
The most important circumstance is that Borisov’s liberal partners from the PP-DB do not want to see him as prime minister.
Borisov considers this unacceptable, but he clearly has to give in to something. After all, time in Bulgaria is clearly not working in favor of the parliamentary republic.
With each new legislative elections, which fail to produce a viable coalition to form a "real" and not "service" government, the number of supporters of strengthening the role of the head of state increases. Especially since President Rumen Radev is already the most popular Bulgarian politician.
Liberal analysts fear that the rotation of members of the Constitutional Court scheduled for November could lead to the emergence of a pro-presidential majority in it.
After this, it is quite possible that restrictions on the appointment of “service” (temporary) prime ministers by the head of state will be lifted.
The pro-presidential political “March 3 Movement” (named in honor of the Day of Bulgaria’s Liberation from the Ottoman Yoke by Russia) is also at a “low start”, which could significantly change the political situation in Bulgaria as early as 2025–2026.

[IsraelTomes] Trump running mate appears to suggest Israel would support a war with Iran, highlights growing presence of GOP isolationist wing that is now represented on the presidential ticket
Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance indicated Saturday that US and Israeli interests won’t always overlap,
…that makes sense…
tying this stance to his opposition to a war with Iran.
Against the backdrop of Israel’s recent retaliatory strike against Iran, Vance was asked during a podcast interview on "The Tim Dillon Show" how the Trump administration would handle what could turn into a major war in the Middle East
Vance began his answer by stressing that Israel has the right to defend itself before adding — "But America’s interest is sometimes going to be distinct."
"Sometimes we’re going to have overlapping interests, and sometimes we’re going to have distinct interests. And our interest very much is in not going to war with Iran. It would be a huge distraction of resources. It would be massively expensive to our country," added the running mate of former president Donald Trump ...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down... Vance did not go as far as to say that Israel backs a war against Iran,
…The Little Satan has been fighting a shadow war against Iran since about 1980. Not because they want to, but because the alternative is to be wiped out. America doesn’t face the same risk, though Iran would dearly love to conquer The Great Satan, too…
but his decision to stress his opposition to a potential war with Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... immediately after arguing that US and Israeli interests don’t always overlap suggested that Jerusalem would support such a war.
The remark highlighted the growing isolationist wing within the Republican Party that, in Vance, is now represented on the presidential ticket as well. The argument also appeared to run counter to ones voiced by more hawkish members of the GOP who have urged Israel to retaliate massively against Iran, including by targeting its nuclear facilities, in what could trigger all-out war.
Vance went on to argue that pro-Israel Americans were even "more militaristic" than Israelis in their response to Hamas ..a regional Iranian catspaw,... ’s October 7 onslaught.
"The Israelis were like, ’Okay, Hamas just attacked us. We’re gonna go really screw Hamas up... There’s a humanitarian side of that, and we want to try to minimize civilian casualties.’ But you had Americans saying, ’This attack happened on Putin’s birthday, so we need to go to war against Russia. And the Iranians funded part of this, so we need to go to war with Iran,'" Vance said.
"I don’t want Iran to get a nuclear weapon, and I think we should be... using all the influence we have to encourage them to not have a nuclear weapon... But we just have to be smart about it," he continued.
"This is where smart diplomacy really matters," Vance explained, pointing to the Trump administration’s brokering of the Abraham Accords in 2020.
He described the normalization agreements Israel signed with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco as an alliance of countries that "kind of hate each other" but decided to collaborate because they have a shared enemy in Iran.
Instead of the US starting a war with Iran, "let the Israelis and the Gulf Arab states provide the counterbalance to Iran," Vance maintained.
"America doesn’t have to constantly police every region of the world. We should empower people to police their own regions of the world. One: We would save a lot of money. Two: We’d save a lot of focus."
As long as that means America wouldn’t micromanage the Israeli effort like the Biden-Harris administration has insisted on doing, I’m all for it.
The Republican vice presidential nominee went on to argue that Vice President Kamala Harris once a marijuana-busting Caliphornia DA talks publicly about trying to minimize Paleostinian civilian casualties while advancing a policy "that maximizes those casualties."
"They say that they’re pro-Israel, but they’ve pursued the pathway that has prolonged the war as long as possible, which is bad for Israel. They seem to be sleepwalking us into a war with Iran. It’s the dumbest of all possible worlds," he added.

Looking at Iran's word and deeds since 1979, objectively Iran is a mortal enemy of the US and all Western nations.
Iran doesn't want war, Iran wants to transform the entire world into an Islamic slave empire, which would necessitate the elimination of any non-Islamic polity.
Even though the Soviet Union's official (insincere) doctrine for Soviet-Western relations had been "Peaceful Coexistence" since Khrushchev the Soviet threat was still correctly recognized.
Iran hasn't accepted coexistence since 1979.
The choice for Western nations is appeasement and submission or war, symmetrical or asymmetrical.
Vance should be asked if he would subjugate US residents to elements of Sharia law in order to temporarily avoid conflict with Iran.

I've said it for decades. There are really only 2 revolutionary powers in the world.
#1 is the USA
#2 is Iran
But the USA claim to be revolutionary for human freedom
Iran is for Alan to be the only god permitted for all with the top Shia in Iran the only spokesman for Alan.
The comments were among several expressions of alarm by the Biden administration regarding the humanitarian situation in the northern Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip, as a 30-day deadline for Israel to address such issues or risk continued US security assistance nears its halfway mark.
The IDF issued a statement saying it was aware of reports about the Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... and was looking into the matter. The army did not deny being behind the strike but did caution against trusting the unverified death count provided by Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... authorities.
The Beit Lahiya area was given an evacuation order earlier this month, as the IDF launched a new offensive in the northern Gaza city. The military is also operating in nearby Jabalia and Beit Hanoun, as it seeks to quash a resurgence of Hamas activity in those areas.
Miller said Tuesday that over a year since the October 7 atrocities, Israel has succeeded in decimating Hamas’s leadership and military capabilities so that the terror group can no longer carry out another such attack, but doing so "came at great cost to civilians in Gaza."
"It is critically important... that Israel... find a way to end this campaign in a way that brings the hostages home and in a way that ensures their security, and not just continuing endless perpetual conflict," Miller said.
He clarified that the US was not calling for Israel to unilaterally withdraw from Gaza in a manner that would leave a power vacuum, as that would allow Hamas to regain control over the Strip.
Instead, the Biden administration has pushed for the Paleostinian Authority to replace Hamas in the post-war management of Gaza. Nearly half a dozen Arab countries have offered to assist in securing the Strip after the war if Israel agrees to allow the PA to gain a foothold in the enclave.
But the idea has been flatly rejected by Netanyahu, who likens the PA to Hamas, very little progress on so-called "day after" planning for over a year.
Also Tuesday, US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield expressed her horror over reports from humanitarian agencies that no food assistance has reached the northern Gaza cities of Jabalia and Beit Lahiya in nearly a month.
"The United States has made clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu that one year into this conflict, Israel must address the catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza; that the United States rejects any Israeli efforts to starve Paleostinians in Jabalia, or anywhere else," she said in her remarks to UN Security Council session on the war in Gaza.
The US envoy didn’t go as far as to accuse Israel of intentionally starving Paleostinians, but her decision to raise the issue appeared to underscore the administration was taking the allegations seriously.
"Israel’s words must be matched by action on the ground," Thomas-Greenfield continued. "Right now, that is not happening. This must change immediately."
While recognizing Hamas’s use of civilian infrastructure, Thomas-Greenfield said the US was also demanding that Israel publicly address the "harrowing reports" that the IDF was arresting medical staff at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.
"The US has stated clearly that Israel must allow food, medicine, and other supplies into all of Gaza — especially the north, and especially as winter sets in — and protect the workers distributing it," said the ambassador, appearing to reference an October 13 letter to Israel in which the US warned that continued supply of offensive weapons is at risk if Jerusalem doesn’t take a series of significant steps to improve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza within 30 days.
The letter noted that the implementation of Knesset legislation banning UNRWA from operating in Israel and severely hampering its work in Gaza and the West Bank risked Israel’s compliance with US law, which bars the transfer of offensive weapons to countries that block the delivery of humanitarian aid.
The two pieces of Knesset legislation were passed on Monday, drawing immediate fury from Washington, which urged Jerusalem to freeze the laws that are set to be implemented in 90 days.
Netanyahu declared that Israel is prepared to work with the international community to ensure that aid can still reach Gazook civilians, but a US official speaking to The Times of Israel on Monday called the offer "disingenuous," saying that Jerusalem should’ve had a plan in place for how to replace the services UNRWA provides before outlawing it.
While Israel has worked to gradually limit UNRWA’s role in the delivery of humanitarian aid, in favor of the World Food Program, UNICEF and other agencies, UNRWA is still heavily involved in the Strip’s humanitarian operation, running shelters, clinics and warehouses.
An IDF official says the target of yesterday’s attack on a five-story building which Gaza health officials said caused scores of deaths was a spotter with binoculars in the building, and that the intent was not to destroy the structure.
The military official agrees to provide details only on condition of anonymity, citing military protocol and the ongoing investigation into the incident.
The official says the building was not known to be a shelter for civilians, and that it collapsed as a result of the strike on the spotter.
The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry claimed yesterday that at least 70 people were killed in the first of two strikes on the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya, asserting that more than half of the victims were women and children. The ministry’s casualty tolls do not differentiate between civilians and terror operatives.
The official says there are discrepancies between the numbers of victims reported by authorities in Gaza and what Israeli intelligence indicates, and that the victims included known terror operatives.
Oh yeah — that.
The official does not provide detailed evidence to support that assertion.
The army has repeatedly said it targets military targets and terror operatives, accusing Hamas of operating among civilians and using them as human shields. It has highlighted numerous steps it takes to mitigate harm to civilians, while acknowledging that errors have occurred.

[IsraelTimes] Defense Minister Yoav Gallant says Hezbollah maintains only some 20% of the rocket and missile capabilities that it had before the war.
"I estimate the remaining capacity of the missiles and rockets to be in the order of 20%, and also it is not organized in the way that it used to be organized, in a way that [Hezbollah] could fire [large] volleys," he says during a visit to the IDF Northern Command base in Safed.
"There is a deep connection between our strike in Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... and what is happening to Hezbollah. Iran understands that Hezbollah does not have the ability to respond, and Hezbollah understands that it cannot rely on Iran," Gallant adds.
[Jpost] In the wake of Israel passing two bills that essentially block the activity of the UN Relief and Works Agency in areas under Israeli control, UNRWA’s work is under scrutiny.
Many circles worldwide have condemned Israel’s actions. UNRWA is a "lifeline," the UK says. UNRWA has claimed Israel’s vote is against the UN "charter." The organization is "irreplaceable," the head of the World Health Organization said on Monday.
What is most interesting about UNRWA is that the organization exists at all. Established by a UN General Assembly resolution in 1949, it began its work in 1950 toward providing direct relief and work programs for "Palestine refugees" — meaning, at the time, the hundreds of thousands of Arabs who had fled the fighting in British Mandate Palestine and, later, areas that became part of the State of Israel in 1948.
...The UN stepped in to try to help the situation. The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was established only in 1950, essentially meaning that the UN’s focus on Palestinian refugees predates its interest in other refugees around the world.
This largely explains why the Palestinian refugees became a unique issue and how the UN ended up perpetuating their refugee status and essentially adopting the Palestinians as a singular cause.
What has UNRWA done since its founding? The organization has 58 recognized refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank, and Gaza. Since UNRWA’s establishment, the number of "refugees" has increased. Today, for example, there are some 900,000 registered "refugees" in the 19 UNRWA camps in the West Bank.
The UN estimates that around one-third of the overall number of people considered "refugees" live in the 58 camps, meaning that many of them have moved to towns and other areas. In some cases, such as in Lebanon, they are often restricted to the camps.
UNRWA maintains not only the camps but also a large number of facilities linked to the camps and refugees. For instance, UNRWA says it has 155 facilities in Gaza, where it enabled 1.5 million internally displaced people to shelter in January 2024. There are eight refugee camps in Gaza; the Khan Yunis camp, for example, has almost 100,000 people registered in it.
IT’S WORTH thinking of UNRWA not as the organization it was after its founding, when it provided essential services that were actually needed, but rather as the empire of perpetual suffering that it has become.
This is a crucial point; UNRWA, as an organization, including the refugees it deals with, is larger than approximately 80 of the countries that are members of the UN. Despite the good intentions that may have been behind its creation in 1950, UNRWA has transformed into something entirely different. The only reason to maintain an organization like UNRWA, which keeps millions of people dependent, is to use them as a proxy against Israel.
In retrospect, it’s important to look at UNRWA as an organization that was created to thwart the establishment of Israel. The UN approved the Partition Plan for British Mandate Palestine in 1947. Israel declared independence in 1948.
...The concept of UNRWA is to keep Palestinians dependent, living in refugee camps generation after generation, while using its young men as foot soldiers to fight Israel. Winding down the camps and having the people live normal lives and believe in two states and peace could have potentially resulted in peace. However, the UNRWA mandate was never to embrace peace, two states, and coexistence. (a) Anyone who really cares about "Palestinian Refugees" would work toward them building new lives in their places of refuge.
(b) There was an equivalent number of Jewish refugees from the Arab world.
The UN, however, did very little to help the Jewish refugees — the world Jewish community and Israel funded and handled their resettlement in Israel on their own.

I’m confident UNWRA staff and management would be perfectly happy if the conflict ended because Israel was erased — that’s what they’ve been training their refugees for, after all.

New footage from the October raid shows Hassan Aqil Jawad, the leader of Hezbollah's forces in Ayta ash Shab, being confronted by armed Israel Defense Force soldiers inside the dark tunnel, the Times of Israel reported.
The surprised terrorist leader, who was only wearing underwear at the time of the raid, can be seen slowly walking down a dark corridor before raising his hands and surrendering to the Jewish soldiers.
Jawad then drops to the ground and proceeds to slowly crawl toward the IDF troops before they take him into custody.
Jawad and several of his other operatives hiding in the compound — who were also detained in their underwear — were brought back to Israel for interrogation.
The commander of Hezbollah’s forces in southern Lebanon’s Ayta ash-Shab was captured by troops of the Golani Brigade some two weeks ago, the IDF announces.
According to the military, Golani troops, with prior intelligence, located a tunnel shaft in a Hezbollah command center in Ayta ash-Shab, where several operatives were holed up.
Among them was the commander of the Hezbollah forces in the village, Hassan Aqil Jawad.
The operatives surrendered to the troops, and they were detained and questioned by field interrogators of the Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504.

Hassans mother always advised never going to bed in dirty underwear... now he knows why.
Pretty sure getting world wide coverage of surrendering to the IDF in your underwear is a quick way to get taken off the future leadership promotion lists.

It’s good to see Israel so quickly taking care of her wounded warriors.
[IsraelTimes] The Defense Ministry’s Rehabilitation Department says it has received some 12,000 soldiers since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
According to the Defense Ministry, some 5,200, or 43% of those received by the rehab centers amid the war are suffering from PTSD.
Some 14% are defined as having moderate to severe injuries, including 23 with severe head injuries, 60 amputees, and 12 who lost their eyesight.
Among the 12,000 soldiers, around 66% are reservists.
The ministry says that some 1,500 soldiers have been maimed twice in the war, meaning they returned to service after being treated by the rehab department and were maimed a second time.
The rehab department is also working with some 62,000 maimed veterans from previous wars. It forecasts that by 2030, the center will be treating some 100,000 people, at least half of them suffering from PTSD.
It’s been a while since we checked out India — it looks like it’s business as usual in Jammu.
[OneIndia] A terrorist hiding in a village in the Akhnoor sector of the Jammu region was killed during a fresh shootout that erupted on Tuesday morning as security forces launched their final assault against faceless myrmidons holed up in the area, officials said.
So far, two forces of Evil have been killed and efforts are on to neutralize their third associate still hiding in the forest area near the Assan temple in Jogwan village, they said.
One of the three forces of Evil who fired at an army ambulance that was part of a convoy moving near the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday morning was killed by the evening in an operation launched by the special forces and NSG commandos. After a night-long lull, the security forces pushed for a final assault against the holed-up forces of Evil around 7 am in the Bhattal Area of Khour, leading to a fresh shootout, officials said.
A couple of deafening explosions followed by intense firing continued for over an hour before the second terrorist was killed, the officials said, adding intermittent exchange of fire was going on with the third trapped ultra.
A four-year-old valiant Army dog, Phantom, died after being hit by a bullet during the operation. In a first, the Army has also pressed its four BMP-II infantry combat vehicles for surveillance and strengthening the cordon around the attack site, while helicopters and drones were also deployed to locate the hiding terrorists.
[GEO.TV] Lebanese state media said Tuesday that Israeli tanks have rolled into the outskirts of the village of Khiam, their deepest incursion yet into south Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... in the ground operation launched last month.
The official National News Agency reported the entry of "a large number of tanks belonging to the Israeli occupation army" into the eastern outskirts of Khiam, some six kilometres (nearly four miles) from the border with Israel.
Hezbollah, for its part, said it targeted Israeli troops south and southwest of Khiam on Tuesday with rocket and artillery fire.
Hezbollah claimed to destroy two tanks using guided missiles and to have targeted Israeli troops south and southwest of Khiam with rockets and artillery. Lebanon’s National News Agency says Israeli forces carried out a series of air attacks on Khiam today and launched a large-scale sweep “using heavy and medium weaponry.”
There was no immediate comment from the IDF on any operations in that area.
Earlier today, the IDF said it demolished an underground Hezbollah command center and another bunker where explosives were stored underneath a village in southern Lebanon.

[IsraelTimes] Iran’s government plans to raise its military budget by around 200%, the country’s Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani says, according to state media.
The planned defense budget increase is part of a budget proposal that has been submitted by the government to parliament for approval.
“A considerable raise that amounts to 200% has been witnessed in the country’s defense budget,” Mohajerani said, giving no further details.
The statement comes as Israel and Iran have entered direct conflict, with Israel on Saturday striking Iran in retaliation for an Iranian missile barrage against Israel on Oct. 1.
Iran also backs multiple proxy groups in the region, including terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah.
[IsraelTimes] Police and the Shin Bet say they recently arrested an Umm al-Fahm
…home of the militant Northern Branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in Israel…
resident on suspicion of planning a terror attack on behalf of ISIS.
According to an investigation, Abed al-Rahman Mahajna pledged allegiance to the terror organization and its leader multiple times in recent months and was involved in the rioting that took place amid unrest across the country in May 2021, during the Gaza operation Guardian of the Walls.
Police found in Mahajna’s possession documents detailing explosives preparation and a will expressing his desire to die as a martyr.
The Haifa District Attorney’s Office filed charges against him today.
“This case joins a series of arrests made against Israeli citizens who planned to carry out terrorist activities in Israel,” a senior Shin Bet source says. “The trend of Israeli citizens being involved in terrorism and espionage is extremely grave, and the defense establishment will act with a firm hand against those involved.”
This is all a tempest in a teapot. Watching wedding videos from that region (northern Caucasus) which which do include even Muslim wimmin, we can see wimmin of all ethnicities, modestly but elegantly dressed as they perform dances to help celebrate the nuptials. Very eye catching.
[KavkazUzel] The ban on hijabs in schools was discussed at a meeting of State Duma deputies from Chechnya with a colleague from the Vladimir region. Adam Delimkhanov promised to achieve the repeal of the "provocative order."
As the "Caucasian Knot" reported, the Mufti of Chechnya, Salah Mezhiev, called the ban on wearing hijabs in educational institutions in the Vladimir region unconstitutional, and the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus, which he heads, called for a legislative ban on regions adopting such decrees.
The Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus (CCMC) has spoken out against the ban on wearing religious clothing in schools. However, it had previously approved the ban on wearing the niqab. The Coordination Center reminded that it is necessary to separate the hijab and the niqab. On July 13, the center appealed to the President of Russia and the State Duma with a request not to adopt the bill of its Deputy Speaker Vladislav Davankov on the ban on religious clothing. The muftis of the North Caucasus stated that this decision violates the rights of believers. The government rejected the bill.
State Duma deputies from Chechnya met with Vladimir Region deputy Igor Igoshin to discuss the ban on wearing Muslim clothing in schools in the Vladimir Region, State Duma deputy from Chechnya Adam Delimkhanov reported today on his Telegram channel. He emphasized that the meeting was held on the instructions of the head of Chechnya.
"The ban on the hijab in the Vladimir region is a gross violation of the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of religion. Covering up this discrimination with concern for appearance in educational institutions is an absolute provocation. Such measures can cause mistrust of state institutions, increase the feeling of alienation among religious citizens and lead to disunity. The rights of believers are values without which the sustainable development of the country is impossible. There is no doubt that we will achieve the lifting of this ban and will fully defend the rights of Muslims," he said.
"The outcome of the meeting was a decision to work together to achieve the repeal of the provocative order," he emphasized.
A ban on schoolchildren wearing elements demonstrating religious affiliation, including niqabs and hijabs, was introduced in the Vladimir region to prevent conflicts between students after appeals from parents, said Vladimir Kuimov, deputy governor of the region. According to him, a similar order existed before, but now the regional Ministry of Education and Youth Policy has decided to clarify it by mentioning Islamic attributes in the document.
"We have had various cases. They emphasize their religious affiliation. And it is not about the school and the teachers, the issue is among the children. Children react differently. On this basis, some conflict situations occur, therefore, absolutely within the law, the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy decided to clarify its own order," RBK quoted him as saying today.
Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.
[Korrespondent] 21:50 South Korean intelligence reported that the North Korean soldiers sent to Russia are mostly in their 20s, with some of them even in their teens. "Their combat capabilities should not be underestimated, as they have already undergone basic combat training as an assault corps. The combat capabilities of soldiers who have not encountered the peculiarities of modern warfare, such as the Russian-Ukrainian one, may be unknown," the report said. They were previously described as special forces, but perhaps that was to drive up the price demanded for their rental.

According to sources, the Pentagon and relevant circles in the US are increasingly concerned about the threat of a shortage of air defense missiles, which are being used up faster than new ones can be produced. This is fraught with significant problems for the US if a war also starts in the Pacific region.

It is known that traffic has been blocked near Gorky Park in the city - this is a recreational area where the Russians place warehouses for storing weapons and equipment. [IsraelTimes] Spain’s Interior Ministry says it is canceling a contract to buy ammunition from an Israeli firm, widening a Spanish pledge not to sell weapons to Israel to include purchases too.
Cadena Ser radio earlier reported that the Guardia Civil police force had agreed to buy more than 15 million 9-mm rounds for six million euros ($6.48 million) from Guardian LTD Israel.
Spain said it would stop arms sales to Israel in October 2023 when Israel’s war with Hamas started in Gaza, after the terror group’s brutal onslaught in southern Israel.
“The Spanish government maintains the commitment not to sell weapons to the Israeli state since the armed conflict broke out in the territory of Gaza,” it says in a statement. “Although in this case it is an acquisition of ammunition, the Interior Ministry has initiated the administrative procedure to cancel the purchase.”
The ministry says Israeli companies will also be excluded from any outstanding tenders.
The contract was tendered in February and awarded on Oct. 21, with two of the three lots awarded to an Israeli company, it adds.
[IsraelTimes] Israel’s attack on Iran likely damaged a base run by the paramilitary Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that builds ballistic missiles and launches rockets as part of its own space program, satellite images analyzed by The Associated Press today show.
The damage at the base in Shahroud raises new questions about Israel’s attack early Saturday, particularly as it took place in an area previously unacknowledged by Tehran and involved the Guard, a powerful force within Iran’s theocracy that so far has remained silent about any possible damage it suffered from the assault. Iran only has identified Israeli attacks as taking place in Ilam, Khuzestan and Tehran provinces — not in rural Semnan province where the base is located.
Satellite photos earlier analyzed by the AP of two military bases near Tehran also targeted by Israel show that sites there that Iran uses in its ballistic missile manufacturing have been destroyed, further squeezing its program.
High-resolution satellite images from Planet Labs PBC taken for and analyzed by the AP show the damage at the Guard’s Shahroud Space Center in Semnan, some 370 kilometers (230 miles) northeast of the Iranian capital, Tehran. Semnan also hosts the Imam Khomeini Space Center, which is used by Iran’s civilian space program.
The images show a central, major building at the Shahroud Space Center had been destroyed, the shadow of its still-standing frame seen in the image taken this morning. Vehicles could be seen gathered around the site, likely from officials inspecting the damage, with more cars than normal parked at the site’s main gate nearby.
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says that fighter jets struck Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror operatives in the Khan Younis humanitarian zone.
According to an IDF statement, the military used precision munitions and other measures to reduce civilian casualties. The statement also says terror groups are “systematically using” civilians and civilian infrastructure such as the humanitarian zone “to plan and carry out terror.”
[NYPOST] A 74-year-old Pennsylvania resident was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill former President Donald Trump ...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania... a day before his Penn State rally, declaring: ''I'd like to shoot that guy.'' Sounds like a case of aggressive senility kicking in.
Paul J. Gavenonis — who uses she/her pronouns, according to the Centre County Public Defender Office — was nabbed after she was overheard making the alleged threats while trying to buy a parking pass at the university's transportation office last Friday, the Lexington Herald Leader reported. My pronouns are ipse and ipsum. I expect everyone to know them and use them and I'll be oh, so offended if you don't.
’Tis true you are the very Platonic ideal of a Fred Pruitt.
''I hate Donald Trump. I'd like to shoot that guy,'' Gavenonis allegedly said after making a gun-racking motion with her hand. I think Kamala Harris is a walking example of the Peter Principle, and I'd like to see her voted out of office and retired to the obscurity of MSNBC.
She also allegedly described climbing to the top of a building, saying ''you can't take a gun in or the students will see it,'' according to an arrest affidavit. I can see the headline now: "Seventy four year old man or woman or something climbs to top of building, scares children"
An alarmed staffer alerted cops amid fears the parking pass could potentially get Gavenonis closer to Trump's rally at the university. The former president held the rally on Saturday, October 26, 2024, just 10 days before the election. That's Saint Godwin's Day! Blasphemy! He must be... ummm... retired to obscurity!
When Penn State police and the Secret Service later questioned the suspect, Gavenonis allegedly laughed when asked if she believed she could kill the Republican presidential candidate. ''Probably. Yeah,'' Gavenonis is alleged to have said. "I'm of uncertain gender, ain't I?"
''Frankly, I hope somebody would get him,'' she added, according to the affidavit. "Wanna read my manifesto?"
Gavenonis allegedly also told agents she had a rifle at her home. "What kind of rifle?"
"A big one!"
It wasn't immediately clear if the alleged perp was trying to purchase the parking pass to gain access to the rally, or if she had plans to attend. Likely he/she/it is a nut. But nuts sometimes murder people.
The Kansas City Star reported the suspect is a registered Democrat. And everyone was just so surprised!
Gavenonis was charged with making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. And being obnoxious and scaring the freshmen.
She is currently being held without bail in Centre County Prison. "Lemme outa here or I'll kill youse!"
"Shuddup! I'm tryin' to sleep!"

[IsraelTimes] Lawmakers vote 29-7 to pass into law a bill prohibiting the establishment of diplomatic missions in Jerusalem that are not embassies.
The legislation, an amendment to the the Basic Law: Jerusalem, Capital of Israel, is sponsored by MKs Ze’ev Elkin (New Hope) and Dan Illouz (Likud) and stipulates that no new consulates will be established in Jerusalem, while the government will encourage the establishment of foreign embassies in the city.
The bill will not affect the status of already existing diplomatic missions in the Israeli capital.
“Jerusalem is the core of our sovereignty,” Illouz states, asserting that the new law “makes it clear once and for all that Jerusalem is ours and is not for sale. It’s a historic law that joins other historic laws passed in recent days.”
Elkin says that “those who wish to establish a foreign mission in Jerusalem will have to act according to this law and the mission will be obligated to provide service to the residents of the State of Israel. Jerusalem is the eternal and indivisible capital of the State of Israel and no country will be allowed to challenge our sovereignty in the united Jerusalem.”
Most countries do not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and base their embassies in Tel Aviv, often opening smaller consulates in Jerusalem. Currently, five countries — the US, Guatemala, Honduras, Kosovo and Papua New Guinea — have embassies in Jerusalem.
Not accusing Israel, for a change. How gracious of them to admit other possibilities.
[IsraelTimes] The UN peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon says its Naqoura headquarters were hit by a rocket, setting a vehicle workshop on fire. In a post on X, UNIFIL points a finger at Hezbollah “or an affiliated group” as the likely attacker, as the rocket was fired from the north.
“We remind Hizbullah and all actors of their obligations to ensure the safety and security of UN personnel and property,” says UNIFIL. “Any deliberate attack on them is a grave violation of international humanitarian law and of Resolution 1701.”
UNIFIL has accused the IDF of injuring its forces on several occasions. Israel has called for peacekeepers to withdraw from the battle zones until Israel’s ground campaign against Hezbollah is over.
The peacekeeping force says it has opened an investigation into today’s rocket fire.
No UNIFIL peacekeepers were seriously hurt, but some suffered minor injuries, says UNIFIL. Earlier, Austria said that eight of its troops were lightly wounded in the impact.
Earlier today, a report was received regarding damage caused to UNIFIL’s Headquarters in the area of Naqoura, southern Lebanon. An examination determined that Hezbollah launched a rocket from the Hallousiyyeh El Faouqa area which hit the @UNIFIL_ Headquarters.
… UNIFIL reported a number of casualties resulting from the rocket impact on its headquarters.
The Hezbollah terrorist organization continues to systematically violate international law, endangering both Israeli civilians and international organizations operating in the region.
[NYPOST] The teenager accused in a stabbing rampage that killed three girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in England has been charged with producing the deadly poison ricin and now faces a terror offense for possessing a jihadi training manual, police said Tuesday.
Axel Rudakubana,
…more fully Axel Muganwa Rudakubana, the Wales-born, Moslem son of Christian immigrants from Rwanda who fell prey to previously undiagnosed Sudden Jihad Syndrome and attacked a girls’ Taylor Swift dance party in Southport with a knife …
18, who is charged with murdering three girls and stabbing 10 other people in July, produced the deadly poison ricin that was later found in his home, Merseyside Police said. Police also found he had a computer file with an al-Qaeda training manual titled: ''Military Studies in the Jihad Against the Tyrants.''
Ricin is derived from the castor bean plant and is one of the world's deadliest toxins. It has no known vaccine or antidote and kills cells by preventing them from making proteins.
Police stressed that the July attack has not been classed as a ''terrorist incident,'' which would require a motive to be known.
Rudakubana, who police said was born in Wales, already faced three counts of murder over the July deaths of Alice Dasilva Aguiar, 9, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Bebe King, 6, in the seaside town of Southport in northwest England.
Southport is near Liverpool. Separately, note the contrast between his childhood image and how he appeared in the courtroom in August.
He also has been charged with 10 counts of attempted murder for the eight children and two adults who were maimed.
The stabbings were used by far-right activists to stoke anger at immigrants colonists and Moslems after misinformation spread on social media identifying him as an asylum seeker and misreporting his name.
Violence spread from Southport and led to rioting across England and Northern Ireland that lasted a week.

[NYPOST] The daughter of a Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, resident and German-Iranian dual citizen who was executed by Tehran on Monday slammed the Biden-Harris administration and German government for their alleged incompetence in saving him.
Gazelle Sharmahd posted a video of herself Monday night — dressed in all black — as she silently mourned her father, Jamshid Sharmahd's, death while tying her hair back in a similar fashion to female protesters in Iran's Women, Life, Freedom movement.
Gazelle criticized the silence from President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant.... , Vice President Kamala Harris former senatrix from California, 2020 Dem presidential hopeful and ultimately Joe Biden's intended successor , Secretary of State Antony Blinken ...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm... and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, whose governments she labeled ''incompetent and corrupt.''
''What have they (#US & #German) done for 4 years when their German-American national was kidnapped in Dubai and taken to Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... by force?'' Gazelle posted on X.
''As an American-German national was brutally and shamelessly kidnapped, tortured, held hostage for 4 years and (if confirmed) murdered by the biggest terrorist Organisation in the world, apparently for retaliation of Israeli strikes on the regime, this must have immediate and unmistakable grave consequences for them now,'' she added.
Iranian officials announced that Jamshid, a dissident who lived in Glendora outside L.A. with his family, was executed Monday morning after the Islamic republic found him guilty of planning a 2008 attack on a mosque that killed 14 people and maimed over 200 others, in a trial slammed by Amnesty International as a sham.
Gazelle and her family have long disputed the claims from Tehran, spending years advocating for Jamshid's release after he was kidnapped during a flight layover in Dubai in 2020.
He was notably excluded in the 2023 deal that saw $6 billion — which are currently frozen — handed to Tehran in exchange for five prisoners because as the 20-year US resident was not an American citizen.
The heartbroken daughter has long-claimed that her father, a green card holder, should have been included in the deal over the Levinson Act — named after former FBI agent Robert Levinson who disappeared in Iran, which provides protections to US citizens and US nationals taken hostage abroad.
[NewsMax] The Biden administration's FBI and Department of Homeland Security reportedly warned state and local law enforcement agencies of domestic snuffies seeking to disrupt the general election.
The two government agencies issued a Joint Intelligence Bulletin, which was reviewed by NBC News.
The bulletin identified potential targets, which include candidates, elected officials, election workers, media members and judges involved in election cases.
The outlet said potential threats include physical attacks and violence at polling places, ballot drop boxes, voter registration locations, rallies, and campaign events.
The bulletin said three domestic murderous Moslem attacks and two disrupted plots have been aimed at government and election officials since Jan. 6.
"The United States remains in a heightened, dynamic threat environment and we continue to share information with our law enforcement partners about the threats posed by domestic violent mostly peacefulsnuffies in the context of the 2024 election," DHS spokesperson Mayra Rodriguez told NBC News in a statement.
"Violence has no place in our politics, and DHS continues to work with our partners to evaluate and mitigate emerging threats that may arise from domestic or foreign actors."
Federal intelligence agencies regularly provide reports such as the Joint Intelligence Bulletin.
Earlier this month, CBS News reported a bulletin warned of potential violent mostly peaceful extremism and hate crimes committed in response to the one-year anniversary of the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas ..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... gunnies on Israel.
The agencies found that the one-year mark of the attack "as well as any further significant escalations" in the Israel-Hamas war "may be a motivating factor for violent mostly peacefulsnuffies and hate crime perpetrators to engage in violence or threaten public safety."
The latest Joint Intelligence Bulletin was among several intelligence documents obtained through public records requests by Property of the People.
Ryan Shapiro, executive director of the nonprofit group focused on government transparency, said the violence warnings "are not typical election threat intelligence."
"The documents are unmistakably a product of a radically heightened threat environment," Shapiro added, NBC News reported.
The latest bulletin said such things as letters containing white powder and online harassment and threats recently have increased, according to the FBI.
The bulletin also mentioned perceived election fraud, immigration, LGBTQ issues, child sacrifice abortion, and the liquidation attempts against former Donald Trump ...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down... as reasons for recent calls for violence.
[Breitbart] Americans should prepare for “unrest’ if former President Donald Trump completes the greatest political comeback in modern American politics, Democrats told the Wall Street Journal on Monday.
The potential for Democrats to perpetrate political violence undermines their narrative that Republicans, and especially the America First movement, are a threat to democracy.
“I think there’ll be some violence. I think there’ll be workplace fights. There’ll be fights at kids’ birthday parties. I think they’ll be protests and will turn violent,” Mark Halperin recently told Tucker Carlson.
Resistance groups, according to the Journal’s Joshua Chaffin and Valerie Bauerlein, believe citizens should be “bracing for unrest” if Trump wins:
Across America, more than a dozen progressives in various positions of influence told The Wall Street Journal that they are dreading the prospect of Trump’s return to power, and dismayed that half the country might see a completely different reality than they see. Some are bracing for unrest. On a recent evening, more than 200 people joined a Zoom meeting titled Mass Training For Women’s Safety Teams—hosted by a Women’s March veteran who noted its timing amid “escalating political violence.”
Others are channeling their nervousness into action: They are planning to attend Women’s Marches scheduled in Washington and beyond on the Saturday before the election. In Boston, they are joining pill-packing parties, where volunteers fill boxes with abortion kits to mail to women in red states with strict limits. “We feel like we’re doing something,” said Erin Gately, a 47-year-old physician assistant who last time took to the streets to protest after Trump’s election, but says this time she would focus on tangible actions like protecting reproductive rights.
…
Laurie Woodward García, a South Florida activist, founded People Power United during Trump’s presidency to champion progressive causes, and, in her words, “stand up to fascism.” Her biweekly online seminars, some scheduled for after the election, explore the consequences if a President Trump were to enact Project 2025, a conservative policy agenda he has distanced himself from. Each session has drawn about 500 viewers.
“We’ve looked at different countries,” Melissa Fiero, a Democrat activist told the Journal. “I really think it’s going to be that bad if he wins.”
Halperin described how some Democrats might react, outside of violence, if Trump defeats Vice President Kamala Harris. “It will be the cause of the greatest mental health crisis in the history of the country,” Halperin told Carlson:
I think tens of millions of people will question their connection to the nation, their connection to other human beings, their connection to their vision of what their future for them and their children could be like. And I think that it will require an enormous amount of access to mental health professionals. I think it’ll lead to trauma in the workplace, … I think there’ll be alcoholism. There’ll be broken marriages:

Harris-Walz banners outside a polling location? Isn't there a defined buffer of "no politicing"?
In Ohio the campaigns are permitted to put lawn signs X’ from the polling place, with nothing allowed beyond that. At my polling place, the trailing daughters’ elementary school, we usually have a few people from each party standing on the sidewalk just beyond that limit, handing out sample ballots and answering any last questions voters might have about their candidates and ballot issues — very quiet and dignified. But given how fraught this election is, I can see more excitable voters getting together to chant at the opposition… or idiotic high school kids who can’t yet vote acting out. Machete Boy should be slapped down so he learns to think before acting.
[IsraelTimes] Heavily outnumbered, four Gideonim fighters engaged gunmen who planned to drive pickup trucks into central region; battle held up attackers until IDF arrived
A small group of coppers from an elite counter-terrorism unit battled against Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Lions of Islam at a key location during the October 7 attack of last year, preventing them from penetrating deep into central Israel, the commander and members of the unit said in a Sunday report.
Two members of Unit 33, known as Gideonim, were seriously injured in battle at the Black Arrow war memorial near the Gaza border.
In an interview conducted at the location, three members of the unit, including its commander, told Channel 12 how the events unfolded on that day, when Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... led thousands of Lions of Islam in a cross-border attack on southern Israel that killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians.
Due to security protocols, the officers could not be identified in the report or reveal their faces.
The terror assault began with a 6:32 a.m. massive rocket barrage at the country, after which Lions of Islam blasted gaps in the security boundary with the Gaza Strip. Driving through the breaches in vehicles, the button men roamed through southern Israel, overrunning military posts and communities where they massacred or kidnapped those that they found.
The Unit 33 commander, who was identified in the report only by the Hebrew initial "Ayin," said he was at home when his wife woke him to tell him there had been a rocket barrage from Gaza and something unusual was going on.
Watching television updates, he said he saw a video of Lions of Islam riding pickup trucks in the border town of Sderot, where they killed at least 38 people, 18 of them coppers from the local station.
For Ayin, that was already what he termed "Stage C" of the four levels of penetration security forces had prepared for, in which "A" is a border fence breach, "B" is Lions of Islam reaching nearby border communities, and "C" when they go beyond that into cities. "Stage D," he explained, would mean Lions of Islam reaching major Israeli cities, such as Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.
"To me, it looked like somewhere between ’C’ and ’D’," Ayin said.
He immediately ordered all unit members to gather in the center of the country, prepare their gear, and then mount their armored vehicles.
In a moment of grim prescience, Ayin described how he took a photo of the gathered members of the unit, having already sensed "that I won’t see them together."
Most of the unit then headed south, toward the chaotic areas where hundreds of Lions of Islam were lying in ambush along the roads.
Already an hour after they were scrambled, members of the unit made contact with Lions of Islam on Route 232 and found themselves in a firefight, while also managing to help injured civilians to safety.
A group of four unit members, Ayin among them, arrived at the Black Arrow memorial, about 900 meters from the Gaza border. Unbeknown to them, the gathering of Lions of Islam that they happened upon had been planned for the purpose of pushing further into the country.
Ayin described a convoy of some 30 pickup trucks and other vehicles carrying heavily armed Lions of Islam arriving at the site.
He quickly instructed the officers with him to stay hidden until backup could be brought in.
However,
nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits... the officers were already surrounded by terrorists, who opened fire on them, injuring two. The officers shot back, killing Lions of Islam and pinning down others even as ever more button men arrived.
As the officers tried to hold their position, taking fire from two sides, reinforcements from the army arrived and the Unit 33 members found themselves caught in the crossfire.
Moving to safer cover, they were able to direct the army reinforcements to fire at the Lions of Islam until eventually they were overcome by the Israeli forces.
The action apparently prevented scores of Lions of Islam from reaching far into the country, the Channel 12 report said.
Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin is in italics.
[ColonelCassad] Linus Torvalds Shows His Face - He Hates Russians and Supports Their Expulsion from Linux Developers
Linus Torvalds has shown his attitude towards Russians and Russian programmers, calling them "Russian trolls". The day before, 11 Russian specialists were expelled from the Linux developer community, and Torvalds fully supported this, stating that the decision will not be reversed.
Linux creator Linus Torvalds has openly stated that he fully supports the removal of Russians from work on the Linux kernel. The day before, as reported by CNews, 11 specialists with Russian roots were excommunicated from this work on the project. It was not Torvalds himself who did this, but one of the largest Linux maintainers, who replaced Torvalds six years ago as the head of the community.
Commenting on what happened, Torvalds, a native of Finland and a US citizen, did not mince words at all. He called the 11 Russians who can no longer work on Linux literally “lots of Russian trolls” and added that the decision to exclude them from the community will not be reversed.
Torvalds has previously made harsh statements about programmers from various countries, saying, for example, that they have “shit-for-brains” or scolding them for being too literate. But this is the first time in many years that Torvalds has openly stated his dislike for specialists from Russia.
To be fair, there are historical reasons some Finns loathe the land of the Rus.
WHAT TORVALDS SAID
The creator of Linux clearly and distinctly stated his position on both the Russian participants of the Linux community and how they were treated. “Okay, a bunch of Russian trolls are out. It is completely obvious why this change was made, and it will not be reversed,” he said.
But Torvalds did not stop there. "Using a few random anonymous accounts to try to 'plant' it via Russian troll factories won't do anything. And for the information of truly innocent bystanders who aren't troll factory accounts, these 'various compliance requirements' don't just apply to the US."
"Various compliance requirements" is the reason 11 Russians were suspended from working on Linux. The community's top brass hasn't said anything more specific yet.
Torvalds concluded his statement with the following comment: "I'm Finnish. You thought I would *support* Russian aggression? Apparently, it's not just the lack of real news, but also the lack of knowledge of history."
See?
In this case, it's completely unclear how Torvalds' nationality, world history, and the fact that he openly supports the removal of Russian citizens from the FOSS community who hold a mouse and keyboard, not a gun, are connected.
While opaque to the writer, it’s obviously clear to Mr. Torvalds. Perhaps the writer should exert himself to do a little research.
By the time the material was published, 11 Russians had been removed from working on Linux with Torvalds's not-so-tacit consent. But neither Linus himself nor his assistant Greg Kroah-Hartman, a US citizen and one of the key Linux developers who initiated the removal, said that this would be the limit. In other words, the likelihood that the persecution of Russian FOSS developers in the Linux community will continue is off the charts.
It is also important to understand that among these 11 people there are employees of large Russian IT companies. First and foremost, this includes the developer of the Aurora OS, Rostelecom-owned Open Mobile Platforms.
The list also includes employees of SberDevices, a company that produces smart gadgets for Sberbank, NetUp (provides solutions and services for communications providers), and Metrotek, a manufacturer of control and measuring devices, telecom equipment, and electronics. Along with them, the door was shown to an employee of Moscow State University.
When I read about this a couple of days ago, I smiled to myself, as I remembered the stories about the need to switch from the corrupt corporate Windows to the free and democratic Linux.
Here again, there is the problem of dependence on Western software and Western digital infrastructure. Which the West takes advantage of, using such dependencies where possible.
In the case of operating systems, this problem will be with us for a long time.
It rather depends on what the Gaza mission is, given that UNWRA aids and abets — and is staffed by — Hamas. Certainly UNWRA jeopardizes Israel’s mission to exist and thrive. And also the hope of Gazan Palestinians to live in peace with their neighbours on both sides.
[NEWARAB] UK Middle East Minister Hamish Falconer voiced concern that Israel's parliamentary vote on UNRWA jeopardises humanitarian efforts in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Speaking to BBC World Service, he emphasised the UK's intent to urge Israel to reconsider its stance on UNRWA, both publicly and in private.
Falconer rejected the notion that UNRWA should be dismantled or replaced, underscoring the agency's vital role in supporting Paleostinian communities.
In other words, Minister Falconer agrees with the UNWRA’s core value that Jews are icky and the world would be a better place if the Palestinians were properly trained to kill them all.

Perfidious Albion (who imported more than a million Arabs into area given to it by League of Nation to establish Jewish national home) gotta perfid!
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The MV Ruby, which was damaged en route from Russia to the Canary Islands and loaded with explosive ammonium nitrate, has stopped at the port of Great Yarmouth in the English county of Norfolk. This was reported by the Sky News channel.
The October 28 report states that Port Director Richard Goffin confirmed the vessel was moored. He said the hazardous cargo was being transferred to another vessel. Port staff are monitoring safety and intend to ensure the MV Ruby continues on its way.
MP Roger Gale, who is negotiating with Deputy Transport Minister Mike Cain and a number of officials, noted on the social network X (former Twitter) that the issue of sanctions was discussed during the meeting. It was emphasized that the ship "does not belong to Russia and does not fly the flag of the country", therefore, international law and restrictions were not violated.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, in early October, the MV Ruby, under the flag of Malta and in need of repair, was unable to enter European ports for several weeks due to a ban imposed by authorities who feared the Russian fertilizers the ship was carrying. In August, it left the Russian seaport of Kandalaksha in the Murmansk region, and some time later ran aground and sustained damage that prevented it from continuing its journey to African ports.
On board are about 20,000 tons of ammonium nitrate - a component not only of fertilizers, but also of explosives. The authorities feared a repeat of the man-made disaster in Lebanon, where in August 2020, more than 2,800 tons of ammonium nitrate exploded in the port of Beirut, leading to the deaths of more than 200 people.
[DHAKATRIBUNE] Adviser Mohammad Nahid Islam has said that he had left a video message calling for armed struggle in case of defeat or a mass killing carried out by the loathesomeSheikh Hasina ...Bangla dynastic politician and now exiled former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. She was President of the Bangla Awami League since the Lower Paleolithic. She is the eldest of five children of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangla. Her party defeated the BNP-led Four-Party Alliance in the 2008 parliamentary elections. She once before held the office, from 1996 to 2001, when she was defeated in a landslide. She and the head of the BNP, Khaleda Zia showed such blind animosity toward each other that they are known as the Battling Begums. That is probably because Khaleda's late husband was the Pak tool who had Mujib assassinated... 's government on August 5.
Nahid, who has been one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement leading the mass uprising, made this remark as a special guest during a prayer and discussion session in memory of martyr Nasib Hasan Rian.
The program was held at the Health Ministry conference room on Tuesday.
In the video, he said: ''If a massacre occurs today (on August 5), we will call for armed struggle. We might not return, but you all will continue to fight. I had sent a video to some journalists. If I don't return today, if we do not achieve victory today, then this is our last message. We were all prepared for death, and we still are."
Nahid said that everyone was ready to become deaders during that time.
''Nasib announced on Facebook and erupted into the streets, telling his family that he might die today (on August 5). For those of us in the field, this was our reality."
[ENGLISH.ALMANAR.COM.LB] Media reports indicated that Israeli occupation forces had withdrawn from the areas they had advanced to in various villages and towns on the southern border with occupied Paleostine, especially Houla, Markaba, Mays al-Jabal, Blida, and Odaisseh. "Honest they did. We seen 'em!"
The Israeli occupation army withdrew its vehicles from the Lebanese areas it had entered as part of its ground offensive that began nearly a month ago.
UNews Press Agency quoted media reports as saying that the Israeli army redeployed its forces inside the Israeli settlements, 5 to 10 km away from the Lebanese border, on Monday, attributing the move to fears that the resistance will target the Israeli forces with concentrated rocket barrages and combat drones, which will inflict heavy losses on them. Uh huh
The Islamic Resistance® drones conducted an aerial scan of the front edge areas in southern Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... , confirming the withdrawal of Israeli forces behind the border. The aerial photos showed the Israeli army closing some of the gaps it had opened in order to infiltrate through them into Lebanese areas.
The Zionist occupation forces failed to impose its control on the Lebanese towns it had invaded because of Hezbollah attacks on its officers, soldiers, tanks and vehicles.
The Islamic Resistance® Operations Room had issued a summary of the latest developments of the confrontation with the Zionist enemy, affirming that 90 Zionist soldiers have been killed and 750 others have been injured in the ground battle.

Another tentacle of the PLO’s Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement works to drive Zionists out of the public square.
[IsraelTimes] strong>Letter vows signatories won’t work with entities complicit in ‘overwhelming oppression’ of Palestinians; Howard Jacobson pans ‘staggering’ attempt to silence writers
Irish author Sally Rooney is among some 1,000 authors and literary professionals who signed a pledge to boycott Israeli cultural institutions, the UK’s Guardian newspaper reported Monday.
Authors Arundhati Roy and Rachel Kushner
…I have tried to read their writings, but cannot see the appeal. What some call lyrical others deride as self-consciously pompous — but at least they can preen themselves on loudly claiming all the “right” opinions…
also signed the letter vowing to boycott Israeli cultural institutions that “are complicit or have remained silent observers of the overwhelming oppression of Palestinians.”
”Come, Culture Leaders — let us all flatter our consequence and be old-fashioned Mean Girls together!”
According to the report, the signatories pledge not to work with Israeli publishers, festivals, literary agencies and publications that are “complicit in violating Palestinian rights,” including “whitewashing and justifying Israel’s occupation, apartheid, or genocide.”
The campaign was organized by the Palestine Festival of Literature.
Since 2008 a project of the Palestinian Authority — formerly known as the PLO — in the West Bank, because Hamas in uninterested in anything not oriented toward Allah and jihad.
Other leading authors panned the letter.
Booker Prize-winning author Howard Jacobson said he had “scarce belief that one writer, that one person from the artistic community, should dream that he or she has a right to silence another. It is staggering,” the UK’s Times newspaper reported.
Award-winning author Lionel Shriver charged that the letter aimed to “intimidate all authors into withdrawing their work for consideration at Israeli publishing houses and refusing to participate in Israeli festivals,” the Times said.
Rooney is a long-time Israel critic who has refused to allow her Israeli publisher to translate her books into Hebrew.
UK Lawyers for Israel, a legal advocacy group, posted to social media platform X that the letter “makes false allegations against Israel and commits its signatories to engage in a discriminatory and illegal boycott of Israeli cultural institutions.”
In a missive to the Publishers Association, UKLFI said the letter is “plainly discriminatory against Israelis,” citing the UK Equality Act 2010 and other discriminatory legislation from around the world.
“This boycott is plainly discriminatory against Israelis. The authors do not impose similar conditions on publishers, festivals, literary agencies, or publications of any other nationality,” the UKLFI wrote.
The development came against the backdrop of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
Though to be fair, this kind of anti-virtue signaling goes on no matter what might be happening in the real world; what they object to is the Jewish state itself, not whatever Israel might or might not be doing at the moment.

[NEWARAB] Hamas senior official Sami Abu Zuhri ...a senior spokesman for Hamas. Zuhri gained notoriety in 2006 when he dropped his money belt containing somewhere between 640,000 and 900,000 euros, which was confiscated by Paleostinian security and customs officials at a routine border crossing from Egypt to Gaza. The news brought competing Hamas and Fatah forces to the crossing checkpoint for an epic face-making and hollering contest... said on Tuesday that the group was open to discuss a deal that secures an end to the war in Gaza and a complete Israeli army pull-out.
The terror group appeared to stick to its previously issued demands on Tuesday, however, when senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri confirmed that the group had been examining various options but reiterated that it would not accept any proposal that did not stipulate the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
“The movement has confirmed it is open to any deal or ideas that ends the suffering of our people in Gaza and achieve a permanent ceasefire, and the occupation’s withdrawal from all of Gaza Strip,” he said in a televised address.
He added that any agreement must end the blockade of the Strip, allow unrestricted relief aid and the reconstruction of Gaza, and achieve a swap of Israeli hostages in Gaza for Palestinian security prisoners in Israel.
The demands were largely in line with those presented by the terror group over the last year.

[Townhall] On Monday, just eight days away from Election Day, Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt received a letter from an attorney for the Republican National Committee. It contained a number of reminders about how voters should be treated in the state as they attempt to cast their ballots.
"Voters consistently report to us that at Boards of Election Offices across the Commonwealth, they are told that 'computers are down,' the site will be closing early, they are not accepting any more voters, and that mail ballots will not be counted. Pennsylvanians deserve the same effortless experience boasted about by Governor Shapiro but county offices appear unable or unwilling to provide it," attorney Linda Kerns wrote.
"No voter should be turned away, told an office is closing early, or told they cannot be accommodated if they appear during the posted business hours. If a voter visits a Board of Election Office to request, fill out, and return a mail ballot anywhere in the Keystone State during the posted office hours, they should be provided the opportunity. No one should be told to go home. If they get in line before the posted closing time, each voter should be able to request, fill out, and return their mail ballot," Kerns continued.
Then, when Trump supporter Val Biancaniello told folks to stay in line at her polling location, she was arrested. RNC Chairman Michael Whatley posted the video.
A supporter of President Trump's was arrested today for encouraging people to stay in the early voting line and cast their ballots freely in Pennsylvania.
This follows reports from across the commonwealth that voters are being turned away in conservative areas.
A supporter of President Trump's was arrested today for encouraging people to stay in the early voting line and cast their ballots freely in Pennsylvania.

"Thank you for sharing this video. That is me in the video being handcuffed and taken away. I broke NO laws. On the other hand, the Bureau of Elections worker telling everyone in line that they 'should only be in this line if you have a pressing reason to vote' is VOTER SUPPRESSION. No one requires a 'pressing need' to vote by mail, that is why it is called 'no excuse mail in voting.' The election bureau worker also announced to the long line of voters 'the wait is two hours and then we are going to put you in a second line, and then a third line,'" Biancaniello posted in response on X.
"Can you imagine if we said this to a long line of Democrat voters? I did not break any laws, though they tried to convince me I did. They put me in handcuffs, took me to a holding room where I was patted down, and then I was handcuffed to a bench. Eventually, the officer took the handcuffs off and walked me out of the building telling me I am getting a citation for disorderly conduct. I will fight that. I broke NO laws. I encouraged people to stay in line and vote. There are plenty of witnesses who know the truth. Please vote! #SwampTheVote! If they took me away in handcuffs, you could be next!" she continued.
Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, Butch shot Black Bart's knife out of his hand...... the RNC is demanding Pennsylvania gets its act together.
