Knesset passes law to deport relatives of terrorists, including Israeli citizens
[IsraelTimes] Lawmakers give final approval to legislation that would allow the government to deport the family members of bandidos bandidos hard boys who are Israeli citizens, passing the bill in the two final Knesset plenum readings it must clear to become law.

Sixty-one MKs vote in favor of the measure, with 41 opposing it.

The controversial legislation, sponsored by Likud MK Hanoch Milwidsky, gives the interior minister the power to expel a first-degree relative of someone who carried out an attack if he or she had advance knowledge and either: (a) failed to report the matter to the police or (b) "expressed support or identification with an act of terrorism or published words of praise, sympathy or encouragement for an act of terrorism or a terrorist organization."

The bill expressly applies to Israeli citizens, who would retain their citizenship even after being expelled from the country. It stipulates that after receiving information regarding an individual, the minister will convene a hearing during which a suspect will have the right to present a defense. The minister will then have 14 days to make a decision and sign a deportation order.

Both the Justice Ministry and the Attorney General’s Office have raised concerns about the legislation, which stipulates that those being expelled would be sent either to the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

Afghan man charged in Germany for killing police officer in Islamist knife attack
[IsraelTimes] Prosecutors say man who attacked anti-Islam rally in western city of Mannheim in May harbors ‘sympathy’ for ISIS and ‘shares its ideology’

An Afghan man has been charged with killing a police officer and wounding several others in an Islamist-inspired knife attack earlier this year that shocked Germany, prosecutors said Wednesday.

The attack in the western city of Mannheim in late May took place just before the scheduled start of a rally organized by Pax Europa, a campaign group against radical Islam.

The suspect, named as Sulaiman A., harbors "sympathy" for the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group and "shares its ideology," federal prosecutors said in a statement.

He showed up at the city’s market square armed with a large hunting knife and intended to carry out an attack on those he considered "infidels" or unbelievers, they said. He "pounced on a police officer who had rushed to the scene and stabbed him forcefully and deliberately in the head and upper body," the statement said.

The officer died as a result of his severe injuries. The other victims also suffered injuries, some of them potentially life-threatening, the prosecutors said.

At the time of the attack, Der Spiegel magazine reported that Sulaiman A. was a 25-year-old who was born in Herat
...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
, Afghanistan, and lived in Hesse state.

The stabbing revived debate in Germany about deporting serious criminals even if they come from countries deemed unsafe, including Afghanistan and Syria.

In August, Germany carried out its first deportation of Afghans convicted of criminal offenses to their home country since the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
took power in August 2021.
Khaama Press adds:
Germany’s Federal Prosecutor’s Office announced on Wednesday that Afghan asylum seeker Suleiman Atayi
Ah hah! A full name for better identification!
has been formally charged with the murder of a German police officer and injuring several others. According to the prosecutor, Atayi has shown “sympathy” and “ideological alignment” with ISIS.

Suleiman Atayi, a 25-year-old from Herat, Afghanistan, allegedly attacked an anti-Islam rally in Mannheim earlier this year in mid-June, killing one police officer and injuring five civilians.

In a separate incident, a 22-year-old Afghan man attacked police with a knife in mid-June on the island of Rügen in northeastern Germany.

Trump's election victory is a nightmare for Germany
[DW] The German government is bracing itself for an extremely difficult transatlantic relationship. A scenario for which it is not really prepared.
Could Trump’s election have been the final straw that caused the fall of the current German government?
A nightmare has taken hold of the German government: Donald Trump
...So far he's been unkillable, and they've tried....
. It had clung to the hope that Kamala Harris
once a marijuana-busting Caliphornia DA
would follow in the footsteps of Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
and continue the tradition of transatlanticism and multilateralism. That is, until Trump won the election surprisingly early and decisively.

Now the German government is ill-prepared, says Henning Hoff from the German Council on Foreign Relations: "It was a mistake to rely so completely on the Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
," Hoff told DW. "The special relationship that the chancellor cultivated with President Biden was perhaps a little too lopsided. The fact that there haven't been any contacts at all in the Trump camp will now come back to haunt him."

Memories of Trump's first presidency, from 2017 to 2021, are still very clear in Berlin. At the time, Trump cast doubt on NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
and threatened to withdraw US troops from Germany. He criticized Germany and other NATO countries for benefiting from US military protection without contributing enough to their own defense.

Henning Hoff believes that it is now important for the German government to "make up for its failures." "A much stronger signal is needed to show that the Europeans, especially the Germans, are truly prepared to shoulder a greater burden of their defense. If we continue to fumble along and argue — we have the dedicated funds (for the Bundeswehr), so the defense budget need only increase minimally — then we won't be able to impress anyone in Washington, not now and certainly not under Trump."

Trump backers, former officials being considered for top posts in 2nd administration
Everybody is full of advice so that President Trump can hit the ground running as soon as he is formally sworn in.
[IsraelTimes] Lebanese-American businessman, who is the father-in-law of Trump’s daughter, says he’ll be point man for Lebanon to negotiate end of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah

Donald Trump will begin the process of choosing a cabinet and selecting other high-ranking administration officials in the coming weeks following his presidential election victory.

Here are the top contenders for some of the key posts overseeing defense, intelligence, diplomacy, trade, immigration and economic policymaking. Some are in contention for a range of posts.

Scott Bessent, potential treasury secretary
Bessent, a key economic adviser to Trump, is widely seen as a top candidate for treasury secretary. A longtime hedge fund investor who taught at Yale University for several years, Bessent has a warm relationship with the president-elect.

While Bessent has long favored the laissez-faire policies that were popular in the pre-Trump Republican Party, he has also spoken highly of Trump’s use of tariffs as a negotiating tool. He has praised the president-elect’s economic philosophy, which rests on a skepticism of both regulations and international trade.

John Paulson, potential treasury secretary
Paulson, a billionaire hedge fund manager and major Trump donor, is another top contender for treasury secretary. The longtime financier has told associates he would be interested in the job.

A longtime proponent of tax cuts and deregulation, Paulson’s profile is broadly similar to that of other potential members of Trump’s economic team. He has publicly supported targeted tariffs as a tool to ensure US national security and combat unfair trade practices abroad.

One high-profile fundraiser hosted by Paulson in April raked in over $50 million for the former president.

Larry Kudlow, potential treasury secretary
FOX Business Network personality Larry Kudlow, who served as director of the National Economic Council for much of Trump’s first term, has an outside shot at becoming his treasury secretary and would likely have an opportunity to take a separate economics-focused position if he is interested.

While he is privately skeptical of broad tariffs, there is publicly little daylight between the policies Kudlow advocates and those of the president-elect.

Robert Lighthizer, potential treasury secretary
A loyalist who served as Trump’s US trade representative for essentially the then-president’s entire term, Lighthizer will almost certainly be invited back. Though Bessent and Paulson likely have a better shot at becoming treasury secretary, Lighthizer has an outside chance, and he might be able to reprise his old role if he’s interested.

Like Trump, Lighthizer is a trade skeptic and a firm believer in tariffs. He was one of the leading figures in Trump’s trade war with China and the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, with Mexico and Canada during Trump’s first term.

Howard Lutnick, potential treasury secretary
The co-chair of Trump’s transition effort and the longtime chief executive of financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald, Lutnick is in the running for treasury secretary.

A bombastic New Yorker like Trump, Lutnick has uniformly praised the president-elect’s economic policies, including his use of tariffs.

He has at times given elaborate, unvarnished opinions about what policies will be enacted in Trump’s second term. Some Trump allies had privately complained that he too often presented himself as speaking on behalf of the campaign.

Richard Grenell, potential national security adviser
Grenell is among Trump’s closest foreign policy advisers. During the president-elect’s first four-year term, he served as acting director of national intelligence and US ambassador to Germany. When Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in September, Grenell sat in on the private meeting.

Grenell’s private dealings with foreign leaders and often-caustic personality have made him the center of multiple controversies, a fact that might make another Senate confirmation process a challenge, depending on the composition of the upper chamber. However, he is considered a top contender for national security adviser, which does not require Senate confirmation, and a Senate-confirmed post is not out of the question.

Among the policies he has advocated for is setting up an autonomous zone in eastern Ukraine to end the war there, a position Kyiv considers unacceptable.

Robert O’Brien, potential secretary of state
O’Brien, Trump’s fourth and final national security adviser during his first term, maintains a close relationship with Trump, and the two often speak on national security matters.

He is likely in the running for secretary of state or other top foreign policy and national security posts. He has maintained close contacts with foreign leaders since Trump left office, having met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel in May.

His views are somewhat more hawkish than some of Trump’s advisers. He has, for instance, been more supportive of military aid for Ukraine than many of his Republican contemporaries, and he is a proponent of banning TikTok in the United States.

Bill Hagerty, potential secretary of state
A US senator from Tennessee who worked on Trump’s 2016 transition effort, Hagerty is considered a top contender for secretary of state. He has maintained solid relations with essentially all factions of the Republican Party, and could likely be confirmed with ease in the Senate.

He served as US ambassador to Japan in the first Trump administration at a time when the president touted his warm relationship with then-Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Hagerty’s policies are broadly in line with those of Trump. Earlier in the year, he voted against a major military aid package for Ukraine.

Marco Rubio, potential secretary of state
Rubio, a US senator from Florida and 2016 Republican presidential candidate, is also a top secretary of state contender whose policies hew closely to those of Trump. Like Hagerty, he was a contender to be Trump’s 2024 running mate.

Rubio has long been involved in foreign affairs in the Senate, particularly as it relates to Latin America, and he has solid relationships throughout the party.

Mike Waltz, potential defense secretary
A former Army Green Beret who is currently a US congressman from Florida, Waltz has established himself as one of the foremost China hawks in the House of Representatives. Among the various China-related bills he has co-sponsored are measures designed to lessen US reliance on critical minerals mined in China.

Waltz is on speaking terms with Trump and is widely considered to be a serious contender for secretary of defense.

Mike Pompeo, potential defense secretary
Pompeo, who served as CIA director and secretary of state during Trump’s first term, is considered a top contender for secretary of defense but could land in various slots involving national security, intelligence or diplomacy.

While he flirted with a Republican primary challenge against Trump, Pompeo never pulled the trigger, and he is now back on friendly terms with the president-elect after a period of awkwardness. He stands out as possibly the fiercest defender of Ukraine among Trump’s close allies, a position that puts him at odds with most high-ranking figures in his potential boss’s camp.

Tom Cotton, potential defense secretary
A Harvard College and Harvard Law School-educated Army officer-turned-US senator from Arkansas, Cotton is well-liked among Trump donors and is a serious contender for secretary of defense. Like Hagerty, he emerged as a dark-horse contender to be Trump’s running mate in the final weeks of the vice presidential selection process in June and July.

Cotton represents the shrunken hawkish wing of the Republican Party, having consistently supported military aid for Ukraine.

Keith Kellogg, potential candidate for national security posts
A retired lieutenant general who served as chief of staff to the National Security Council under Trump, Kellogg has Trump’s ear and is a contender for several national security-related positions, though it is unclear precisely where he would land.

During the campaign, he presented Trump with a plan to end the war in Ukraine, which involved forcing both parties to the negotiating table and ruling out NATO membership for Ukraine for the foreseeable future, among other measures.

Tom Homan, potential homeland security secretary
Homan, who served as the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement for a year and a half during Trump’s first term, is a contender for secretary of homeland security. Trump made cracking down on illegal immigration the central element of his campaign, promising mass deportations.

Trump frequently praised Homan during the campaign, and Homan often hit the trail to rally supporters. During Trump’s first term, Homan was a leading advocate of the administration’s controversial child separation policy, during which children of immigrants who had entered the country illegally were detained separately from their parents.

Chad Wolf, potential homeland security secretary
Wolf, who served as Trump’s acting secretary of homeland security for roughly 14 months during his first presidency, may have a shot at heading back to DHS.

Wolf loyally carried out Trump’s hardline immigration policies, and he deployed federal agents to Portland, Oregon, to control protests during the riots that followed the murder of George Floyd, a Black man, by a white police officer.

He may have some strikes against him. He resigned on January 11, 2021, just days after the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

Trump has expressed misgivings about bringing back those who resigned in the final days of his term. Wolf, however, cited the legal controversy around his appointment as DHS secretary – rather than the Capitol attack – when he stepped down. Multiple judges ruled that his appointment by Trump, which effectively circumvented the Senate, was illegal.

Mark Green, potential homeland security secretary
A former Army flight surgeon and the current chair of the House Homeland Security Committee, Green is considered by some Trump allies in Washington as a contender for the top job at DHS. His supporters describe him as a Trump loyalist and immigration hardliner who also has significant legislative experience.

Green was nominated by Trump during his first term to serve as secretary of the Army, but he withdrew his name as past statements, which were widely seen as transphobic and Islamophobic, drew more scrutiny.

John Ratcliffe, potential attorney general
A former congressman and prosecutor who served as director of national intelligence during Trump’s last year in office, Ratcliffe is seen as a potential attorney general, though he could also take a separate national security or intelligence position.

The president-elect’s allies view Ratcliffe as a hardcore Trump loyalist who could likely win Senate confirmation. Still, during his time as director of national intelligence, Ratcliffe often contradicted the assessments of career civil servants, drawing criticism from Democrats who said he politicized the role.

Mike Lee, potential attorney general
A US senator from Utah, Lee is widely seen as another top candidate for attorney general. Though the former prosecutor declined to vote for Trump during the 2016 election, he later became an unwavering ally, and he has become something of an intellectual hero among some factions of Trumpworld.

Lee was a key figure in attempts by Trump and his allies to overturn his 2020 election loss to Democrat Joe Biden, and has spread unfounded conspiracy theories about the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

Susie Wiles, potential chief of staff
One of Trump’s two co-campaign managers, Wiles is seen as the odds-on favorite to be Trump’s White House chief of staff.

While the specifics of her political views are somewhat unclear, she is credited with running a successful and efficient campaign. Supporters hope she would instill a sense of order and discipline that was often lacking during Trump’s first term, when he cycled through a number of chiefs of staff.

Brooke Rollins, potential chief of staff
The former acting director of Trump’s Domestic Policy Council, Rollins is also a contender for chief of staff.

Trump has a close personal relationship with Rollins, and often compliments her in private settings.

She was generally considered one of Trump’s more moderate advisers while in office. Among other policies she supported during Trump’s first term were criminal justice reforms that lessened prison sentences for some relatively minor offenses.

Kash Patel, potential candidate for national security posts
A former Republican House staffer who served in various high-ranking staff roles in the defense and intelligence communities during Trump’s first term, Patel has frequently appeared on the campaign trail to rally support for the candidate.

Some Trump allies would like to see Patel, considered the ultimate Trump loyalist, appointed CIA director. Any position requiring Senate confirmation may be a challenge, however.

Patel has leaned into controversy throughout his career. In an interview with Trump ally Steve Bannon last year, he promised to “come after” politicians and journalists perceived to be enemies of the president-elect. During Trump’s first term, Patel drew animosity from some more experienced national security officials, who saw him as volatile and too eager to please the then-president.

Massad Boulos, point man to Lebanon
Boulos, a Lebanese-American businessman and Trump surrogate, revealed in a recent interview days before the election that he will serve as the US point man for Lebanon in the incoming administration, tasked with negotiating with Beirut to secure a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

“I will be responsible for negotiating with the Lebanese side in order to reach an agreement, and Trump will appoint someone familiar with the Israeli file to negotiate with the Israelis,” Boulos told the Lebanese broadcaster Al-Jadeed in what appeared to be one of the first revelations regarding now President-elect Trump’s personnel.

Boulos joined the Trump inner circle after his son Michael married the former president’s daughter Tiffany in 2022. He helped Trump make significant inroads in the Arab American in yesterday’s election.

He will apparently assume half of the role currently filled by US President Joe Biden’s special adviser Amos Hochstein, who has been tasked with negotiating with both Israel and Lebanon. He successfully brokered a maritime boundary deal between the sides in 2022, but has not yet succeeded in brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah since the terror group began conducting cross-border attacks on October 8, 2023.

Boulos told Al Jadeed in another interview that Trump will fulfill his recent promise to “end the destruction in Lebanon” through a “comprehensive regional peace agreement.”

“Trump is committed to ending the war before he enters the White House,” he added, without elaborating.

An Israeli official and a former Trump official told The Times of Israel last month that the former president told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when they met in July that he wants the Gaza war wrapped up by the time he enters office.

“People see that Biden and Harris failed to end the wars and failed to even return the American hostages from Gaza… Lebanese Americans are migrating to Republican Party and to Trump because they feel that Trump is their only hope to end this war, and end all the wars… so we can start talking about rebuilding Lebanon and Gaza,” Boulos said.

#12  What if a president-elect was incapacitated after the election?
If a president-elect was to die, timing is again important.

Under the Constitution, it is electors meeting in state capitols who technically cast votes for the presidency. While some states require that they vote for the winner of the election in their state, in others they have leeway.

The CRS memo, which cites several congressional hearings on the subject, suggests it would clearly make sense for a vice president-elect to simply assume the role of president-elect, but the law itself is murky.

Under the 20th Amendment, if a president-elect dies, his or her running mate, the vice president-elect, becomes president.

There could be some question, for instance, about when exactly a person becomes president-elect. Is it after the electors meet in December, or after Congress meets to count Electoral College votes on January 6?

Teen killed by Hezbollah rocket in north; another hits area near Ben Gurion Airport
[IsraelTimes] Heavy barrages fired at central Israel, north; debris hits car in Ra’anana; IDF chief says military must prepare to expand Lebanon ground op; fighter jets strike southern Beirut

An Israeli teenager was killed by a Hezbollah rocket in the north on Wednesday, after the terror group also fired rockets twice throughout the day at central Israel, demonstrating it maintains the capability to launch long-range attacks even as the Israeli military pursues its ground operation in southern Lebanon.

A barrage of rockets at northern Israel Wednesday evening killed a teenager, whose body was only discovered hours later in Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk near Acre. The Magen David Adom ambulance service said that a farmhand who found the body led medics to the site, where they located the victim suffering from severe shrapnel injuries and declared him dead at the scene. He was later identified as Sivan Sade, an 18-year-old from the kibbutz who was working in the fields.

The IDF said that Hezbollah fired more than 150 rockets at Israel throughout Wednesday, including a barrage of 25 rockets at the Western Galilee and the Haifa Bay area.

In the late morning rocket barrage targeting central Israel, the IDF said 10 projectiles were fired from Lebanon, with most intercepted, but one rocket struck an area near Ben Gurion Airport. Debris from an intercepted rocket also hit an empty parked car in Ra’anana. No injuries were caused in the attack.

Sirens rang out again shortly after 4 p.m. east of Tel Aviv. The IDF said they were caused by a single rocket that was intercepted.

Some flights experienced delays and disruptions as a result of the rocket attacks. The Israel Airports Authority said the airport was “open and working normally for arrivals and departures.”

Projectiles were also lobbed by the terror group at Israel throughout Tuesday, including a drone launched from Lebanon that set off sirens in Metula and Kfar Giladi and was shot down by the IDF, and two rockets fired from Lebanon that were intercepted after they triggered sirens in Haifa and surrounding communities.

The attacks on northern Israel since October 2023 have resulted in the deaths of 40 civilians. In addition, 61 IDF soldiers and reservists have died in cross-border skirmishes and in the ground operation launched in southern Lebanon in late September. Two soldiers were killed in a drone attack from Iraq, and there have been several attacks from Syria, as well, without any injuries.

Over 200 Gazans, both patients and caregivers, evacuated via Israel for medical care
[IsraelTimes] WHO works with COGAT to transport Gazans to Ramon Airport near Eilat for treatment in UAE and Romania, in largest such operation in months

Israel and the World Health Organization said Wednesday that more than 200 Gazans, both patients and their caregivers, were evacuated to the United Arab Emirates and Romania on Wednesday for medical treatment.

In total, the group numbered 231 people, according to COGAT, the Israeli defense ministry body responsible for civil affairs coordination with the Palestinians.

“This is the largest number of patients and caregivers who have left through the Kerem Shalom crossing in recent months,” COGAT said in a statement.

The operation was carried out in cooperation with the UAE, the European Union and the WHO, it added.

The WHO said the “patients included those with autoimmune diseases, blood diseases, cancer, kidney conditions and trauma injuries.”

The patients were transferred from Gaza via the Kerem Shalom crossing into Israel, and then to Ramon Airport near Eilat in southern Israel.

In a joint operation with the UAE and EU, we facilitated the safe passage of 231 patients and caregivers from Gaza to receive medical treatment abroad today.

The WHO’s representative in the Palestinian territories, Rik Peeperkorn, had said Tuesday that those on the evacuation list were among up to 14,000 people currently waiting in Gaza to be evacuated for medical reasons, amid the ongoing war there between Israel and the Hamas terror group.

Peeperkorn said Tuesday that fewer than 5,000 people had been granted medical evacuations out of the territory since the war began last year, when Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023.

In October, the High Court of Justice ordered the government to draw up a formal procedure for the evacuation of sick and injured Gazans.

The ruling followed a June petition by three human rights organizations, filed after Egypt shut down the Rafah Border Crossing for such evacuations when Israel took control of the crossing in May.

Before Egypt shut down the crossing, some 50 Gazan civilians had been evacuated for treatment daily, since the beginning of the war, according to the left-wing Physicians for Human Rights NGO in Israel.

Iran sentences 4 people to death on charges of spying for Israel
A little more about this story from yesterday.
Three defendants accused of aiding alleged Israeli assassination of nuclear scientist in 2020; fourth involved in unspecified espionage case

Four people were sentenced to death by a revolutionary court in northwestern Iran over charges of spying for Israel, the semi-official Fars news agency reported on Wednesday.

Fars said three of the defendants — whose nationalities it did not give — were accused of helping Israel’s spy agency Mossad move equipment used in the 2020 assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Fakhrizadeh was viewed by Western intelligence services as the mastermind of a covert Iranian program to develop nuclear weapons capability. The Islamic Republic has long denied any such ambition.

The Jewish Chronicle newspaper reported in February 2021, citing intelligence sources, that Fakhrizadeh was killed by a one-ton gun smuggled into Iran in pieces by Mossad agents, both Israeli and Iranian nationals.
Oh my. That must have taken a lot of ingenuity to conceal.
Israel declined to comment at the time of his killing, and on Wednesday an Israeli government spokesman said in response to the Fars report: “We never comment on such matters. There has been no change in our position.”

Fars said the fourth defendant sentenced to death was linked to another unspecified espionage case.

Iran does not recognize Israel’s right to exist. Khamenei has previously called Israel a “cancerous tumor” that “will undoubtedly be uprooted and destroyed.”

Barack Obama's Diversity Agenda Drowned by Donald Trump's Pro-American Wave
[Breitbart] President Donald Trump’s pro-American coalition defeated President Barack Obama’s pro-diversity agenda on Tuesday.

“This is obviously not the outcome we have hoped for,” Obama grudgingly admitted in a passive-voice statement on Wednesday that dodged his role in Trump’s victory:

America has been through a lot over the last few years — from a historic pandemic and price hikes resulting from the pandemic, to rapid change … These conditions have created headwinds for democratic incumbents around, the world, and last night, shows that America is not immune.

Obama’s fingerpointing tried to hide his decades-long push to impose a radical, pro-diversity, pro-immigration agenda on ordinary Americans. But he made that agenda the centerpiece of his prime-time speech at the Democrats’ National Convention in August:

No nation, no society has ever tried to build a democracy as big and as diverse as ours before, one that includes people that, over decades, have come from every corner of the globe …

Our allegiances and our community are defined not by race or blood, but by a common creed, and that’s why, when we uphold our values, the world is a little brighter. When we don’t, the world is a little dimmer, and dictators and autocrats feel emboldened, and over time, we become less safe.

“That is what this election is about,” he declared to his audience of progressive politicians, donors, activists, and establishment journalists.

Only Breitbart News noted the radical nature of his well-written, well-delivered convention speech.

In contrast, Trump pushed a unifying campaign focused on restoring prosperity and peace for all Americans.

“You can’t lead America if you don’t love the American People,” Trump tweeted October 30.

“It’s all about the American Dream,” Trump told a roomful of business elites and billionaires in September at the Economic Club of New York. “We will make housing much more affordable… [and] we will get [mortgage rates] back down to 3 percent … [so] young people will be able to buy a home again and be part of the American dream,” he said, adding:

We don’t talk [about the] American Dream with these [Democratic] people in office. they don’t want to talk about the American dream because they are the exact opposite.

Obama has been pushing his diversity-first policy since well before he was elected president in 2008.

His anti-American view is now a litmus test among progressives, regardless of the massive pocketbook and civic damage done to ordinary Americans.

“Undeniably, immigration is changing our nation,” Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) told media host Joe Rogan on November 2. “It’s very clear that immigration has remade Texas … generally it’s for a good thing,” he added.

“I’m all for just like, open the f… border,” Democratic organizer Kevin Oyakawa allegedly told an undercover journalist in Ohio.

“In my mind, the fates of black and brown were to be perpetually intertwined [and would become] the cornerstone of a coalition that could help America live up to its promise,” Obama wrote in his 2006 autobiography, “The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream.”

“At some point, there’s going to be a President Rodriguez, or there’s going to be a President Chi … its politics will reflect who we are,” Obama said during a 2014 interview at MSNBC/Telemundo interview. “That’s not something to be afraid of, that’s something to welcome,” he said.

That diversity-first agenda is fiercely pushed by Obama’s ally, homeland security chief Alejandro Mayorkas.

Mayokas has been working for Obama as a pro-migration deputy since 2009. For example, he helped launch Obama’s legally contested “DACA” amnesty for child-age illegal migrants in 2012.

In 2021, Mayorkas took over the border security job in President Joe Biden’s administration. Since then, Mayorkas has pulled in roughly 8 million southern migrants, in addition to the legal inflow of roughly 5 million immigrants and temporary visa workers.

Obama’s pro-diversity migration policy wrecked Biden’s administration — and allowed Donald Trump to regain the presidency. For example, the New York Times reported in May 2022:

“Immigration is a growing vulnerability for the president,” [Biden pollster] John Anzalone and his team warned in a package of confidential polling, voter surveys and recommendations compiled for the White House. “Voters do not feel he has a plan to address the situation on the border, and it is starting to take a toll.”

Within a month, there was another stark warning. “Nearly nine in 10 registered voters are also concerned about increasing inflation,” said another memo obtained by The New York Times.

Unsurprisingly, growing pluralities and majorities of ordinary Americans reject this elite-imposed chaotic, wealth-shifting diversity. They voted for Trump’s MAGA vision in 2024.

Trump’s defeat of Obama’s diversity agenda is especially painful for Obama because he regards Trump as an uncouth blowhard compared to his urbane style.

Some of Obama’s allies recognized the colossal risk he was taking with the party’s other goals, and with the lives of 330 million Americans. For example, Yasha Mounk, a pro-diversity author who was touted by Obama, admitted in a 2022 interview:

We have no real example of democracies that managed to sustain deep ethnic and religious diversity while treating people fairly, which is the aspiration that our society now has. And we have lots of examples in history of ethnic and religious diversity going wrong, both in democracies and in non-democratic societies leading to genocide, leading to civil war, leading to terrible forms of exploitation, domination like slavery. So, I think there is good reason to think that there is a special challenge to sustaining diverse democracy. And I think we can see some of that in our politics. We can see how fears about demographic change incite the cultural divisions that characterize the United States and many other democracies today.

Mayorkas shares the same pro-diversity, pro-migration ideology — nas has eagerly formed a political alliance with investors to jointly import more migrants.

He has repeatedly explained that he supports more migration because of his migrant parents, his sympathy for migrants, and his support for “equity” between Americans and foreigners.

He also justifies his welcome for migrants by saying his priorities are above the law, and by claiming that the “needs” of U.S. business are paramount — regardless of the cost to ordinary Americans, the impact on U.S. children, or Americans’ rational opposition.

Who lame duck Joe Biden blames for Kamala's catastrophic defeat as Democratic party tears itself apart after Trump victory
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The people surrounding Joe Biden blame Nancy Pelosi for Kamala Harris' election loss as Democrats have begun to bicker over who caused the party's disaster.

It came as the president, 82, reacted to Harris' concession speech at Howard University Wednesday.

The blame game went into overdrive last night, as Biden confidantes told senior White House reporters they hold the former Speaker of the House responsible for him being pushed out of the race.

'Bidenworld' sources claim that not only should the president have stayed in the race but that he would have won the white working-class voters who Harris largely ceded to Donald Trump.

The claim that Pelosi got him out of the race is comparable to how Biden blames Barack Obama for demanding he not run in 2016 against Hillary Clinton.

However, there was also a sense of treachery within the president's ranks, as sources told CNN Senior White House correspondent Kayla Tausche that he himself 'was more deeply unpopular than anyone grasped.'

Other Democrat insiders have blamed Tim Walz for being too left wing, too folksy, and too tainted by the Kenosha riots, while others blamed every demographic possible.

Not enough white women showed up, too many black men switched to Donald Trump since 2020, and Hispanic voters abandoned the party.

Media analysts also speculated Joe Biden should have pulled the plug on his candidacy well before his disastrous debate performance.

This would have either given Harris more time to establish herself, or allowed for an open primary to select a stronger candidate, they argued.

Earlier Tuesday, Biden seemed to begin the peaceful transition of power by offering an olive branch to Trump.

Later, he offered his reaction to Harris' teary-eyed concession speech.

'What America saw today was the Kamala Harris I know and deeply admire. She's been a tremendous partner and public servant full of integrity, courage, and character,' he wrote.

Biden has called Trump to congratulate him for his dominant victory over Harris and invited him to the White House.

The 81-year-old commander-in-chief extended the olive branch to the president-elect a week after calling his supporters 'garbage' and hours after he was confirmed as his successor.

The White House confirmed Biden and Trump spoke on the phone on Wednesday afternoon and 'emphasized the importance of working to bring the country together' as well as a 'smooth transition'.

Trump's spokesperson Steven Cheung confirmed that the once again president-elect had accepted.

'President Trump looks forward to the meeting, which will take place shortly, and very much appreciated the call,' Cheung said in a statement.

#7  Media analysts also speculated Joe Biden should have pulled the plug on his candidacy well before his disastrous debate performance.

This would have either given Harris more time to establish herself, or allowed for an open primary to select a stronger candidate, they argued.

An open primary may well have resulted in the nomination of a more viable candidate than Harris who was utterly without qualifications and tainted by her association with the failed policies of Joe Biden. But it seems lately the Democrats have been operating behind closed doors in back rooms instead of being out in the open, transparent and truly democratic.

Who knows what would have happened in 2016 if Biden had been allowed to go for it before his cognitive decline started? Could he have beaten Hillary in the primaries and gone on to beat Trump?

Then in the 2020 primaries when it was apparent that Bernie Sanders would win, the party bigwigs met in a back room and compelled all of the candidates except Biden to drop out of the race. They must have offered Sanders a helluva deal to get him to quit. Either that or they held a gun to his head.

In a general election the Marxist Sanders would have lost but at least his defeat and Trump's victory would have cleared the decks for Democrats to nominate a better candidate this year.

Now it seems the back room, authoritarian, anti-democratic methods of the cabal that has been running this country have finally caught up with them. Anti-democratic policies deny natural selection. They prevent the survival of the fittest and so we get candidates like Harris who was so eminently unfit that they couldn't cheat big enough to get her to the White House.

Interesting take.

The Matrix is doing a Grrrta How Dare You! campaign against the audience of voters who usually vote D but jumped to Trump.

Don't know if its a hangover from the final week of campaigning insult theme or if this was a planned response knowing a week ago Harris was likely cooked.

STEAL CONFIRMED: Joe Biden and The Case Of The Disappearing 15 Million Votes!
[WLT Report] Perhaps the most fascinating thing to come from this election is also perhaps the most unexpected....

We may have just received absolute confirmation that 2020 was stolen.

A bunch of posts are going viral on Twitter/X right now from Democrats saying "The math doesn’t add up! How can the total number of voters be less this year than in 2020?"

Like this one from "Deb":

And on one level, they’re right....

The math DOES NOT add up.

To believe what we’re being told, we have to believe that Joe Biden got 81 million votes in 2020, and this election was expected to be bigger with even more turnout, and yet Kamala Harris only gets 66 million votes?

Where did the other 15 million go?

And for Trump, he also got about 3 million less votes this year than in 2020.

So something doesn’t add up, I agree with that.

But the Democrats are too dumb or ignorant to realize what this is actually telling us....

It’s actually confirming in broad daylight that 15 million votes from people who do not exist were added into the 2020 election to rig it.

It’s the classic FRAUD image we’ve all seen posted so many times over the last 4 years:

[Motley Fool] The large conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) (BRK.B 5.36%), run by investing legend Warren Buffett, reported its third-quarter earnings results over the weekend. The report is a big deal for shareholders and all market watchers who are curious to see what moves Buffett and his team of investing experts made during the quarter because they indicate their overall view of the market.

Another reason investors watch Buffett is because he runs a $300 billion-plus equities portfolio that invests in some of the most popular stocks in the market. While the 13F report detailing Berkshire's exact stock holdings at the end of the third quarter won't be available until around Nov. 14, Berkshire's earnings report offered some clues about Buffett and Berkshire's investing decisions in the third quarter.

Based on these clues, we can determine that Berkshire sold hundreds of millions of shares of his two favorite stocks -- Apple (AAPL -0.33%) and Bank of America (BAC 8.43%) -- and piled into an ultra-safe asset yielding close to 5%.

Berkshire sold 334 million shares of Apple and Bank of America
How do people know that Berkshire sold all of these shares if we don't have its 13F filing? Berkshire's earnings reports detail the fair value of the company's five largest holdings in its stock portfolio, given their material impact on the equities portfolio and the company. You then can find the historical stock price on the last day of the quarter and calculate the share amount.

Here is where things stood at the end of the second quarter on June 30. (I'm using stock prices from June 28 because June 30 was a Sunday.) The numbers are in thousands:

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Was an Israeli F-35 Shot Down By Iranian Radar?
[WarriorMaven] I don't think so, but...

Analysts have been puzzled by the limited nature of Israel’s October 25/26 attack on Iran. Various theories have been presented. Certainly, the NSA intelligence leak of October 17 had an effect, forcing the Israelis to initially cancel the attack. They then proceeded with an alternative plan.

Now, anecdotal information from Israeli sources suggests that the F-35s flying fighter escort for the strike package found themselves locked by engagement radars over Iraqi airspace. That means the Russians and Iranians could have shot them down at long range. It might have been several hundred miles, at the edge of the capability of ROCKS ALBMs that Israel meant to use on the enemy radar sites. This was a shock to the Israelis. According to this theory, the Israelis were so unnerved that they launched their missiles, turned around, and went home

It also accounts for the sober expressions Netanyahu and Gallant wore in the Israeli command bunker. The senior Israeli officers around the table were wringing their hands and biting their nails.

Navy fires commander of San Diego Leadership and Ethics Command
[Task & Purpose via MSN] Capt. Lester Brown, Jr. was relieved of his duties as Navy Leadership and Ethics Command San Diego’s commanding officer. He had assumed command in September 2022.

Officials did not immediately say why Brown was relieved other than for a "loss of confidence in his ability to command," phrasing used in nearly all public announcements of a military leader’s firing.

Furious Amish in Pennsylvania get 'revenge' at the polls
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Pennsylvania's traditionally private Amish community registered to vote in 'unprecedented numbers' after government agents stormed a local farm early in the year.

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture raided Amos Miller's farm on January 4, sparking outrage among the state's Amish population, a source familiar with the matter told The New York Post.

'That was the impetus for them to say, "We need to participate,"' the source said. 'This is about neighbors helping neighbors.'

The raid by state officials came after reports of children falling ill from raw dairy products purchased at the farm in Bird in Hand, Pennsylvania.

'If you think about Amish people and their connection to nature, I mean, some of these people work in the fields barefoot to be closer to the earth,' the source told The Post.

While exact numbers of Amish voters remained unclear as of Tuesday night, horse-and-buggy rigs spotted at polling locations in the state.

This comes as Donald Trump won Pennsylvania, the biggest 2024 election swing state.

Conservative activist Scott Presler, known for his outreach to Pennsylvania's Amish community, has been credited for the voter turnout.

Pressler has been engaging with voters by emphasizing local issues, particularly regarding agricultural practices and religious freedoms, the Express Tribune reported.

Beyond the Amish community, Presler has expanded his campaign to include union laborers and hunters, emphasizing job security and Second Amendment rights.

His engagement with these diverse voter groups has earned him widespread recognition among supporters.

Dr. Jan Halper-Hayes expressed gratitude for his efforts on X, writing: 'If Trump wins Pennsylvania, we all owe it to this man! @ScottPresler Registered's 180,000 Amish first time voters. He worked tirelessly! Please send a thank you to Scott!'

MAGA stars gloat they can 'finally' admit Project 2025 will be Trump's agenda
[Daily Mail, whee America gets its news] America's top conservatives are gloating that 'Project 2025' will be enacted in the new Donald Trump era, despite the former president disavowing the agenda during the campaign.

Project 2025 is a hardline conservative manifesto setting out a program for government written by his allies.

Trump and JD Vance have shrugged off suggestions that the agenda is on the table for them but conservatives like Matt Walsh and Steve Bannon reveled in the opportunity to push the policy goals after the election.

'Now that the election is over I think we can finally say that yeah actually Project 2025 is the agenda,' Walsh wrote Wednesday.

Speaking on his podcast, fresh out of prison former Trump advisor Bannon gave Walsh a shout out and wholeheartedly agreed. Bannon was just recently released from a four-month prison sentence in Connecticut for contempt of Congress.

He was convicted in 2022 on two counts of defying subpoenas issued by the congressional investigation into the January 6 attack when Trump supporters ransacked the U.S. Capitol in 2021.

Project 2025 was overseen by the conservative Heritage Foundation, a thinktank stuff with alumni from the Trump administration and allied groups.

It sets out a blueprint for Trump in office, including proposals that he has already adopted, such as strengthening the southern border and decreasing federal involvement in education.

But it also calls for a ban on a widely used abortion pill, the abolition of the Department of Homeland Security, and scrap dietary guidelines.

Trump has repeatedly rubbished any suggestion it will provide a blueprint for his administration, saying he had 'nothing to do with it' during last month's presidential debate.

Authors of the manifesto include Russ Vought, who was budget director in the Trump White House, and JD Vance, Trump's running mate, has ties to Kevin Roberts who oversaw the whole project.

Most recently, Trump transition team leader Howard Lutnick has thrown cold water on the idea that it'll be used in the White House.

Lutnick also disowned Project 2025, the document produced by a stable of former Trump administration figures that the Trump campaign has said repeatedly does not represent Trump or his campaign.

'Project 2025 is an absolute zero for the Trump-Vance transition,' said Lutnick.

Government Corruption
Nolte: Corrupt Special Counsel Jack Smith to Exit DOJ, Drop Cases
[Breitbart] Corrupt Special Counsel Jack Smith, the Keystone Cop who has serially failed to throw Donald Trump in prison or undermine his reelection chances, will not wait for incoming President-elect Trump to fire him (as Trump has understandably promised to do). Instead, since a special counsel cannot prosecute a sitting president, Smith will leave the Department of Justice before Trump is sworn in as the 47th president. The (phony) cases against Trump will also be dropped.

Since November 2022, Smith has sought to put Trump in prison using four felony accounts that laughably claim Trump conspired to steal the 2020 presidential election.

Smith also filed 40 felony counts against Trump over the documents the former president held at his Mar-a-Lago home. A judge dismissed that case. Smith had plans to file an appeal to reinstate the charges. That won’t happen now.

I asked my colleague Joel Pollak his thoughts, and he was kind enough to send this:

Trump has faced four criminal cases — two at the federal level, and two at the state level. One federal case, the “documents” case, was dismissed in federal court in Florida in July after Judge Aileen Cannon agreed with the defense that Smith’s appointment as Special Counsel was constitutionally invalid. (Smith is currently appealing her ruling.) The other case, the “January 6th” case, is still pending in the District of Columbia, where Smith had to refile it after Supreme Court rulings on presidential immunity and the relevant law.

As of Wednesday, the Department of Justice is dropping both cases, anticipating that Trump would fire Smith immediately upon taking office, as he has power to do, ending the Special Counsel’s prosecutions.

At the state level, there are two cases — one in New York, and one in Georgia. In New York, Trump is set to be sentenced on November 26th on 34 felony counts of business fraud. It is unclear what his sentence will be, or whether it would be suspended; his conviction is almost certain to be overturned on appeal. As president, he would probably have the power to pardon himself for federal crimes; it is an open constitutional question as to whether he could pardon himself for state crimes. In Georgia, Trump’s prosecution has been delayed until next year, thanks in part to ethical questions over the conduct of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (who won reelection on Tuesday). There are motions by the defense to dismiss the entire case.

Trump also faces civil cases. Two of the more prominent case are both in New York: one is his civil fraud case, and the other is his sexual misconduct case. The fraud case is currently on appeal in New York, and the state’s appellate judges have shown skepticism thus far about the massive fine that New York Attorney General managed to slap on Trump for allegedly inflating his wealth in loan applications. The latter case, involving suddenly-remembered allegations by writer E. Jean Carroll, is also being appealed; Trump was found civilly (not criminally) liable for “sexual abuse” (though not for rape) and also for defamation.

To allow the country to move forward, I’d be fine if Trump agreed to pardon Hunter Biden in exchange for Joe Biden and the governors of these states (where relevant) agreeing to pardon Trump.

Trump’s stunning and historic victory Tuesday night was, at least in part, a rebuke of this obscene and fascist lawfare persecution. This sort of arrangement would get Joe Biden off the hook of pardoning his own son and allow our next president to fulfill his mandate with a clean slate.

The country deserves to move on from this nonsense, which will, in turn, allow our government to focus its time and energy where it belongs — on the American people.

DC: Trayon White Cruises To Reelection After Getting Caught On Camera Allegedly Taking Wads Of Cash In Bribes
[DC] A Democrat D.C. City Councilmember previously charged with bribery overwhelmingly won his reelection Tuesday night.

Trayon White Sr. won his race with around 76% of the vote, according to the D.C. Board of Elections.

White was charged with bribery this past August.

He allegedly agreed to accept $156,000 in cash payments in exchange for using his position to pressure government employees at the D.C. Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services ((DYRS) and the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) to extend multiple city contracts, according to the Department of Justice.

"Because the investigation into the alleged bribery scheme involved contracts that could soon be awarded and other potential official acts that could be taken, our Office took swift steps to address the alleged crimes we were investigating," U.S. Attorney for D.C., Matthew M. Graves, stated.

"What you need me to do, man? I don’t, I don’t wanna feel like you gotta gimme something to get something. We better than that," White told a confidential source when offered an envelope with $15,000 in cash, according to an arrest affidavit from the FBI’s D.C. Field Office.

However, White allegedly took the envelope and put it in his pocket.

White was accused of making anti-Semitic comments in 2018 after he suggested that Jewish bankers — the Rothschilds — controlled the climate, The Washington Post reported. He later apologized for his comments.

White also donated $500 to a Nation of Islam event that same year, according to The Washington Post.

IDF says Gaza polio vaccination campaign has been completed
[IsraelTimes] Israel says that the Polio vaccination campaign in Gaza conducted in recent weeks has been completed, with some 1.1 million vaccines administered and a vaccination rate among children of over 90 percent.

According to the Coordinator of Government Affairs in the Territories (COGAT), a Defense Ministry agency that coordinates the provision of humanitarian aid into Gaza, 211,170 children were vaccinated in northern Gaza; 379,361 children were vaccinated in central Gaza; and 517,070 were vaccinated in southern Gaza.

COGAT says the campaign was carried out in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF, and that the Israeli agency facilitated tactical humanitarian pauses in the fighting in Gaza in order to facilitate the distribution of the vaccines.

The vaccination drive that has just been completed is the second in three months, after an initial campaign was undertaken and completed in September.

That drive came after an unvaccinated 10-month-old baby from central Gaza contracted polio and suffered partial paralysis in September, the first case of the disease in the enclave in 25 years.

To ensure the success of the campaign, COGAT says it and the aid organizations involved facilitated the entry of polio specialists to Gaza, as well as the delivery of medical and logistical equipment, refrigeration equipment to store and transport the vaccines, and essential vitamins.

“The State of Israel, through COGAT, will continue to act in accordance with international law, addressing the medical situation of civilians in Gaza,” COGAT says.

Sweden charges 3 over explosives planted at Israeli defense firm
[IsraelTimes] Swedish prosecutors charge three men for their alleged involvement in planting explosives outside an Israeli military technology firm in Gothenburg, court documents obtained by AFP show.

Two insulated flasks packed with plastic explosives were found outside the offices of Elbit Systems, known for its unmanned aerial systems, in Sweden’s second-largest city on June 4.

The national bomb squad removed the objects and no damage or injuries were reported.

Two of the accused, a 17-year-old and a 24-year-old, were charged with “aggravated unlawful threat” and “attempted destruction causing public endangerment” for placing the explosives at the scene.

The third suspect, 29, is accused of storing the explosives in his home and transporting them to his two accomplices near the scene.

All three suspects have denied the charges.

The action was directed at “the company’s security guard, representatives and employees” and aimed to cause “serious fear for their and others’ personal and property safety,” prosecutor Johan Uden says in the charge sheet.

Since the October 7, 2023, Hamas assault on Israel and the subsequent war, there have been several incidents targeting Israeli interests in Sweden.

The Swedish intelligence agency Sapo in late May accused Iran of recruiting members of Swedish criminal gangs to commit “acts of violence” against Israeli and other interests in Sweden.

Two Zionist settlers injured in run-over operation in Ramallah
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Two Zionist settlers were wounded in a run-over operation near the ''Shilo'' settlement junction, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian media reported on Wednesday.

The media sources said that the driver—the perpetrator of the operation—was killed by Israeli occupation forces.
From the Times of Israel:
Terrorist shot dead by local civilian carrying handgun; medics also treat several people at scene suffering from acute anxiety

Two civilians were lightly injured on Wednesday in a car-ramming and stabbing attack near the West Bank settlement of Shiloh. The Palestinian terrorist was shot dead by an armed civilian in the vicinity.

Medics at the scene said that the attacker was shot after crashing his car into a bus stop at the Shiloh Junction and getting out with a knife, details the Israel Defense Forces confirmed in a statement.

According to the Binyamin Regional Council, a local resident killed the assailant with his handgun.

Magen David Adom said it treated two civilians, a 26-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy, who were lightly hurt in the attack, before taking them to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus.

Several others were treated for acute anxiety.

Since October 7, the high tensions in the West Bank have seen troops arrest some 5,250 wanted Palestinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,050 affiliated with Hamas.

According to the Palestinian Authority health ministry, more than 716 West Bank Palestinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were gunmen killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops or terrorists carrying out attacks.

During the same period, 41 people, including Israeli security personnel, have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank. Another six members of the security forces were killed in clashes with terror operatives in the West Bank.

Ilhan Omar secures reelection, defeats pro-Israel opponent
[NEWARAB] Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar
...Somali-American Dem representative from Minnesota. She was apparently married to her brother and may be her own grandmaw on her mother's side. She is a member of The Squad, and would like to make the country look a lot more like Mogadishu...
of Minnesota secured re-election to the US House of Representatives, overcoming a pro-Israel Republican opponent and reinforcing her role as a prominent progressive voice in the US legislature.

Omar claimed her third term representing the 5th District, which covers Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs, with a decisive 76.4 percent of the vote over Republican challenger Dalia al-Aqidi's 23.6 percent, according to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named.

"Tonight, Minnesota's Fifth District showed the country what we believe in," Omar said in a statement. "I am so grateful that my constituents placed their trust in me and voted to send me back to Congress for a fourth term."

Her victory follows a challenging primary earlier in the year, when pro-Israel groups, including the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), backed an attempt to unseat her.

Omar successfully overcame this opposition, raising $1.6 million compared to her primary opponent Don Samuels' $535,000.

Her resounding win against al-Aqidi affirms her constituents' support despite attempts to unseat her.

Palestinians dismayed by Trump's win, their leaders urge peace
[NEWARAB] Paleostinians, locked in war with Israel for more than a year, expressed fear at Donald Trump
...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania...

..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
group and the Paleostinian Authority urged him to act for peace.

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip, Abu Osama, who has been displaced by unrelenting Israeli bombardments, called Trump's election victory a "new catastrophe in the history of the Paleostinian people".

"Despite the destruction, death, and displacement that we have witnessed, what is coming will be more difficult, it will be politically devastating," Abu Osama told Rooters.

More than 43,300 Paleostinians have been killed in more than a year of war in Gaza, most of them civilians, Hamas health authorities in the enclave say. Much of the territory has been laid to waste.

The war erupted after Hamas-led fighters attacked southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages to Gaza, according to Israeli tallies. Hamas says its attack came in response to Israel's decades long occupation of Paleostine and siege on Gaza.

Hamas said the U.S. election was a matter for the American people but it called for an end to the "blind support" for Israel from the United States.

"We urge Trump to learn from Biden's mistakes," Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri

Zuhri gained notoriety in 2006 when he dropped his money belt containing somewhere between 640,000 and 900,000 euros, which was confiscated by Paleostinian security and customs officials at a routine border crossing from Egypt to Gaza. The news brought competing Hamas and Fatah forces to the crossing checkpoint for an epic face-making and hollering contest...
told Rooters.

Abu Zuhri said Trump would be tested on his statements that he can stop the war within hours of taking office as U.S. president.

President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
's administration has provided Israel with unflinching diplomatic support and military aid even as Secretary of State Antony Blinken
...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm...
worked on ceasefire proposals. Trump's future policy is not yet clear although he was supportive of Israel in his previous term as president.

Israel strikes Beirut burbs after Hezbollah chief speech
[NAHARNET] Strikes hit south Beirut on Wednesday about an hour after Israel issued evacuation warnings for three areas of the main Hezbollah bastion, AFPTV footage showed.

One of the strikes triggered a loud explosion which was heard across much of the capital, witnesses said.

Israeli military front man Avichay Adraee had warned residents to evacuate the southern suburbs of Burj al-Barajneh, Laylaki and Haret Hreik in a post on X.

"You are located near facilities and interests affiliated with Hezbollah, against which the (military) will act in the near future," Adraee said, as a speech by Hezbollah's new leader Naim Qassem
... the Grand Vizier of the Hezbullies...
was being broadcast.

Earlier Wednesday, Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
's official National News Agency reported Israeli air strikes on the Bekaa Valley in the east and the southern city of Nabatiyeh.

An AFP correspondent in the eastern city of Baalbek reported intense strikes in and around the city.

Israel's army had issued evacuation warnings for Nabatiyeh but not for the Bekaa Vally.

The Israeli army said Hezbollah had fired about 120 projectiles across the border.
More from the Times of Israel:
The IDF said that Hezbollah fired more than 150 rockets at Israel throughout Wednesday, including a barrage of 25 rockets at the Western Galilee and the Haifa Bay area.

Meanwhile Israeli fighter jets carried out strikes in southern Beirut targeting Hezbollah infrastructure, following a day of long-range rocket fire on Israel, while the IDF chief of staff said the military must prepare to expand the Lebanon ground operation.

In a statement, Hezbollah claimed to have targeted the IDF’s Tzrifin base, located south of Ben Gurion Airport, in the morning attack. The bases house a number of IDF units, including several training schools and a logistics center.

On Wednesday evening, the IDF announced that Israeli fighter jets had struck a series of Hezbollah sites in Beirut’s southern suburbs earlier in the day. According to the IDF, the targets included Hezbollah command rooms, weapon depots and other infrastructure. All of the Hezbollah sites were located “in the heart of a civilian population,” the military said, accusing the terror group of using human shields. Before the strikes, the IDF issued evacuation warnings to civilians in the area.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said Wednesday that the military must prepare to expand the ongoing ground offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

“Alongside the diplomatic attempt to reach agreements in Lebanon, we need to continue formulating the plans for the continuation of the fighting in Lebanon, including expanding and deepening the [ground] maneuver, and we will activate these plans as needed,” Halevi said during an assessment, in remarks provided by the IDF.

He added that the IDF “continues to strike Hezbollah targets according to plan in the entire region, in southern Lebanon, the Beqaa Valley, Beirut and Syria.”

Meanwhile, Lebanese rescuers pulled 30 bodies out of the rubble after a late-night Israeli strike on an apartment building in the town of Barja, Lebanon’s Civil Defense service said Wednesday. It remained unclear if there were any survivors or bodies still trapped under the rubble following the Tuesday night airstrike, which came without warning. There was no statement from the military and the strike’s intended target also was unknown. Civil defense official Mostafa Danaj said some of the neighbors have reported there are still people missing.

The military has said that it only targets terror infrastructure in Lebanon and that Hezbollah routinely uses residential buildings to store arms.

Barja, a town just north of the port city of Sidon in central Lebanon, has not been regularly targeted so far in the conflict.

Amid the ongoing operation, the IDF on Wednesday called on civilians near four buildings in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh to immediately evacuate ahead of airstrikes. Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman, published maps alongside the announcement, which call on civilians to distance themselves at least 500 meters from the sites.

“You are located near Hezbollah facilities and assets, against which the IDF will operate in the near future,” Adraee said.

The Lebanese health ministry announced on Monday that the country’s death toll in the Israel-Hezbollah war had crossed 3,000. The figure does not distinguish between civilians and combatants. The IDF estimates that some 3,000 Hezbollah operatives have been killed in the conflict. Around 100 members of other terror groups have also been reported killed in Lebanon.

Slotkin wins over Mike Rogers in tight Michigan Senate race to hold seat for Democrats
[Washington Examiner] Michigan’s open Senate seat will stay in Democratic hands after Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) defeated Republican Mike Rogers in one of the most competitive races of the 2024 cycle.

Slotkin won by a thin margin, securing 48.6% of the vote compared to Rogers’s 48.3%, according to the Associated Press.

Her victory, called Wednesday afternoon, continues a streak of Democratic dominance in statewide races. No Republican has won a Michigan Senate seat since 1994.

In this case, a win for Slotkin is a win for republicans and the nation.

It also denies Republicans additional breathing room in a chamber they will control next year. Slotkin will replace retiring Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), a titan of Michigan politics who rose to Senate Democrats’ No. 3 leadership post.

Michigan had one of the only competitive Senate races without an incumbent this cycle, making it a top target for Senate Republicans. In the final days of the campaign alone, the leading super PACs for each party spent almost $20 million on advertising in the state.

#2  Yes, Aegis (6 shadow company) hired the Congressman's (former FBI agent and HPSCI Chair's) wife. Great boost for Aegis business development. Smoke in the TeePee over State Department contracts led to both of them resigning and 'spending more time with the family.' Articles on the mini-scandal have mostly disappeared from Google.

From Aegis to Aspen to P2P
Rogers’ early experience includes working with the departments of Transportation, Defense and U.S Customs and Border Protection.

Among her top career experiences is her work growing the D.C. office for London-based risk management and security company Aegis LLC, where she was president and CEO 2006 to 2011.

“I pitched the idea to establish a U.S. company to the British board of directors, which included Britain’s last five-star general,” Rogers said. “After serious deliberation and questioning, the board agreed. I responded, ‘Great! Now, we need to find someone to do it.’ The board laughed and responded, ‘Well, that would be you.’”

Within five years, the D.C.-based operation had expanded from two people to just under 1,000.

New Los Angeles DA vows to reverse predecessor''s ''social experiments''
[POLITICO] Los Angeles' newly elected district attorney is vowing to take a tougher-on-crime approach and rebuild trust within an office in open rebellion against progressive George Gascon, whom voters have resoundingly ousted.

Nathan Hochman, a Republican-turned-independent former prosecutor and defense attorney, cruised to a victory early Wednesday morning on a message of reversing what he's called Gasc n's ''social experiments'' and tapping into state laws that allow district attorneys to take a heavier-handed approach to prosecuting property crimes.
Woo hoo!
He's the latest in a wave of centrist and conservative DAs who've unseated progressive incumbents on the West Coast.

But Hochman stopped short of casting his campaign as a repudiation of criminal justice reform, instead focusing his campaign squarely on Gasc n and promising to restore a district attorney's office that has been roiled by internal rancor over Gasc n's progressive policies. The DA faced sharp criticism amid a spike in property crimes like car thefts and shoplifting.

That message permeated his watch party in Beverly Hills throughout Tuesday night. Videos played on large screens featured crime victims and their families telling stories about how Gasc n had abandoned them, interspersed with critiques from prosecutors who say the office's policies have obstructed their jobs and forced hundreds of staff members to leave.

''I have worked for five different district attorneys, both Democrat and Republican,'' said Jessie McGrath, a Los Angeles County deputy district attorney. ''But the level of mismanagement and incompetence that I have witnessed over the last three and a half years from this administration has been staggering.''
Yeah…
Gasc n offered a defiant concession message Wednesday morning as he trailed by more than 20 percent.

''The rightward shift across America last night is heartbreaking,'' he said in a statement. ''Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
have a long road ahead, but the work is more vital than ever and our commitment will not waver.

''Nevertheless, I have called Mr. Hochman and wish him the best as Los Angeles County's next District Attorney,'' he continued. ''I'm deeply proud of what we've accomplished over the past four years and grateful to the communities who have been and will always be the heart of criminal justice reform.''

Trump spokesperson: He wants to see Israel’s wars end soon with decisive victory

Speaking to Israel’s Channel 12 TV in the wake of Trump’s win, Elizabeth Pipko is asked about Trump’s comments in his victory speech where he declared, "I’m not going to start wars, I’m going to stop wars."

"He wants the wars to end as soon as possible, but he wants it to end with a decisive victory [for Israel]," Pipko says trying to allay fears in Israel that Trump could force Israel to halt the fighting against Hamas

Pipko also says that the Biden administration has not been "decisive" in its support for Israel.

She declines to comment on whether Trump will give Israel a green light to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, saying that it was up to the incoming president to express his views on that subject and that he would do so when he takes office in January.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: November 6, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.

[Korrespondent] 21:42 Zelensky announced that on Thursday, November 7, he will take part in the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest. "We will discuss security challenges in Europe, as well as new opportunities for all partners. There will be a number of meetings, a number of agreements with European leaders," the president announced.

18:57 European leaders will gather in Budapest on November 7-8 to discuss Trump's victory and the war in Ukraine. The European Political Community summit will take place on November 7, with an informal meeting the following day. Both events will be hosted by Viktor Orban. He insists on changing the EU's strategy on Ukraine after Trump's victory. According to the Hungarian prime minister, after Trump's return to the White House, American aid to Kiev may be suspended, so "there are serious doubts" whether Europe will be able to cope with this on its own.

17:38 Law enforcement officers are investigating 49 criminal cases on the facts of the murder of 124 prisoners of war by Russians on the battlefield, the Prosecutor General's Office reported. They noted that the rapid increase in cases of murders of Ukrainian defenders during their surrender began at the end of last year and has reached unprecedented proportions this year. Most of the cases have been recorded in the Donetsk region.

16:19 The Atesh partisan movement reports that its agents have recorded the movement of a Palantin electronic warfare column, consisting of seven mobile systems, from St. Petersburg towards the border with Ukraine to combat drone attacks.

15:06 Since November 1, the duration of basic combined arms training has increased from 30 to 45 days in all training centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said Igor Palahnyuk, a representative of the General Staff. He specified that the new basic program has increased by 78 hours. In particular, fire training has increased by 33 hours, and the number of training exercises - from 23 to 45.

14:27 The Russian Foreign Ministry has announced its readiness to cooperate with the Trump administration, but on the condition that Russia's goals in the war in Ukraine are achieved: "Russia will work with the new administration when it "settles" in the White House, firmly defending Russian national interests and focusing on achieving all the goals of the special military operation." The statement said that Moscow "has no illusions" about Trump, "who is well known in Russia," since the American elite, "regardless of party affiliation, adheres to anti-Russian attitudes and a line of containing Moscow."

13:12 GUR drones have hit enemy ships in the Caspian Sea for the first time, Ukrainian media write, citing sources in the special services. As a result of the special operation, the Russian flotilla in the Caspian Sea was defeated. The distance from the Ukrainian state border to the target is about 1,500 km. In particular, the Tatarstan and Dagestan missile ships were probably hit, and small missile ships of Project 21631 could also have been damaged.

12:24 Peskov, commenting on Trump's election as president, said that "the US is an unfriendly country that is directly and indirectly involved in the war against Russia," and that "the Ukrainian conflict cannot be ended overnight." At the same time, he once again repeated that Moscow is ready for dialogue, but the US is currently demonstrating the opposite position.

12:16 Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak said that Zelensky and his team had a "good meeting" with Trump in September. "Then we managed to discuss in detail the plan for Ukraine's victory, the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States, and ways to end the war. The presidents also had good working relations during Donald Trump's first term. It is important that Ukraine has bipartisan support in the United States," Yermak said.

12:01 Trump said during his nightly speech that he intends to stop wars in the world: "They said: he will start a war. I am not going to start a war, I am going to stop wars."

11:29 In Zaporizhia, one of those wounded in yesterday's Russian strike has died. Thus, the death toll has risen to eight, said OVA head Ivan Fedorov.

10:55 The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, reported that a port was attacked in the Russian city of Kaspiysk.

10:17 Zelensky congratulated Donald Trump on his "impressive" victory in the US elections: "I appreciate President Trump's commitment to the "peace through strength" approach in global affairs. It is this principle that can really bring a just peace to Ukraine closer. I hope that together we will bring it to life. We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under the decisive leadership of President Trump. We count on continued strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States."

09:34 Zelensky signed laws extending martial law and general mobilization for 90 days - until February 7, 2025.

09:25 Drones attempted to attack the main base of the Russian Navy's Caspian Flotilla in Dagestan, local publics write. Head of the Republic of Dagestan Sergey Melikov reported that a drone was shot down in Kaspiysk, but local residents report that there were several of them. Publics note that this is the first time drones have attacked Dagestan.

09:19 In Kharkiv, the number of casualties as a result of yesterday's Russian drone strike on the Shevchenkivskyi district has increased to two, reported the head of the OVA Oleg Sinegubov. Another three people were injured as a result of the enemy attack in the village of Kapitolovka in the Izyumsky district and two died in the village of Glushkovka in the Kupyansky district.

09:03 Over almost three months of the Ukrainian Armed Forces operation in the Kursk region, as of November 5, the enemy's losses in personnel amount to 20,842 people, of which 7,905 were eliminated, 12,220 were wounded, and 717 were taken prisoner, Syrsky reported. During this period, 1,101 units of enemy weapons and military equipment were destroyed, including: 54 tanks, 276 combat armored vehicles, 107 guns and mortars, five MLRS and 659 units of automotive equipment.

Russia has now concentrated about 45,000 troops in the Kursk direction and is trying to increase their number, including by bringing in troops from North Korea. About 2,000 Ukrainian servicemen have been awarded state awards for their heroism and successful actions during the Kursk operation.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also recalled that in May of this year, intelligence confirmed the enemy's plan to attack in the Sumy direction from the Kursk region to create a so-called buffer zone in the north of Ukraine - this was supposed to be a continuation of the Russian operation in the Kharkov direction. That is why a decision was made to conduct an offensive operation ahead of the curve with the transfer of military actions to the enemy's territory in the Kursk region.

08:17 In the Kherson region, five people were wounded as a result of Russian shelling over the past day, reported the head of the OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin.

07:56 The General Staff announced the estimated losses of the Russian Federation as of the morning of November 6:

  • personnel - about 702,900 (+1250) people,

  • tanks - 9214 (+6),

  • combat armored vehicles - 18,592 (+11),

  • artillery systems - 20,170 (+20),

  • MLRS - 1245 (+0),

  • air defense systems - 996 (+0),

  • aircraft - 369 (+0),

  • helicopters - 329 (+0),

  • Operational-tactical level UAVs - 18,366 (+57),

  • cruise missiles - 2631 (+0),

  • ships/boats - 28 (+0),

  • submarines - 1 (+0),

  • automotive equipment and tank trucks - 28,333 (+55),

  • special equipment - 3588 (+1).

07:44 Air defense destroyed 38 out of 63 Russian drones (Shahed and unspecified type) in Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Zaporizhia regions at night, the Air Force reported. Another 20 enemy drones were lost, two remain in Ukrainian airspace. In addition, at night, the Russian Federation struck Odessa region with two guided air missiles Kh-59 and Kh-31P.

07:21 In the Nikolaev region, as a result of a nighttime enemy attack on the energy infrastructure, some subscribers were de-energized, reported the head of the OVA Vitaly Kim.

07:08 In Zaporozhye, the number of victims as a result of yesterday's Russian strike on a critical infrastructure facility has increased to 25, seven people have died, reported the head of the OVA Ivan Fedorov.

Europe
‘Trump Shock': European Media in Meltdown Over Trump's Victory
The poor darlings.
[LegalInsurrection] The European mainstream media is in a meltdown this morning after President Donald Trump’s historic victory in the U.S. election.

"Why do they vote for Trump?" the leading German news Tageszeitung asked. How could the majority of American voters "support a man like Trump, who insults political opponents, offends allied countries, questions the electoral system, and also advocates anti-worker policies?" the newspaper wondered.

"On paper, the Democrats’ program for the middle class is better than the Republicans’. But why are the Democrats receiving less and less support from this group?" the clueless German daily asked.

German magazine Der Spiegel covered the news with the headline "The Trump Shock."

"After Donald Trump’s election victory, the U.S. is facing a political turning point," the weekly added.

The German establishment fears that Trump will make them pay more for their own defense and raise tariffs to drive down the massive trade deficit. "What will happen" when Trump enters the White House?" the German weekly Der Stern asked Wednesday.

"68 percent of people in Germany fear Donald Trump’s election victory. Because, unlike Kamala Harris, he is threatening major changes in how he deals with Germany," the weekly worriedly, though rightly, concluded.

Even while reporting Trump’s historic comeback, the BBC couldn’t refrain itself from calling the incoming U.S. president a ’convicted felon’ and accused him of having ’extreme ideas.’

"It’s not hard to see why he is a deeply polarising figure," the UK broadcaster commented. "Throughout the campaign, Trump used incendiary rhetoric — making crass jokes and threatening vengeance against his political enemies."

The British newspaper Guardian sounded heartbroken while reporting on Kamala Harris’ election night watch party on the Howard University campus in Washington. "The Scene at Howard University had echoes of Hillary Clinton’s loss in 2016 as the US appears poised to return Trump to power," the newspaper sobbedly recalled.

"The crowd that gathered was excited. The music pulsed. Members of Harris’s AKA sorority, wearing pink and green, danced together," the Guardian noted. "As Donald Trump began to carve out an expected early lead on Tuesday evening, jitters set in."

Biden-Harris paying billions to 'radical left' climate change groups and Chinese communist party: report
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The Biden-Harris Administration
…only for a few more weeks. Hurrah!
has been slammed for giving $41 billion to fund nonprofits that 'spread radical, left-leaning ideology' to eliminate fossil fuels.

A new report blasted the White House for subsidizing a shift to green energy tech 'which relies upon supply chains dominated by the Chinese Communist Party,' although financial analysts who cover the US energy sector dispute those claims.

The Delaware Valley Citizens Council for Clean Air received funding to phase out fracking and 'make biking, walking, transit, and electric vehicles the primary' sources of transportation — a plan that stresses the need for green energy.

Another $10 million grant was given to West Harlem Environmental Action, Incorporated (WE ACT), which called for the halt on new natural gas operations to continue 'fighting false solution infrastructure.'

'Simply put, the EPA is awarding taxpayer dollars to special interest groups committed to a radical energy agenda to "educate" others,' House Republicans said.

While the US currently produces one third of its solar panels domestically, it faces fierce competition from China — which produces roughly 98 percent of the world's solar wafers, lowering prices of the tech globally.

Today under Biden, the US imposes a 39 percent tariff on all such solar components imported from China.

But the US energy sector nevertheless does import solar cells, wafers and polysilicon from the Asian nation, totaling a record $12 billion in 2023 from China and its major export hubs in Malaysia, Vietnan, Thailand and Cambodia, according to Reuters.

Republicans overseeing the House Energy and Commerce Committee, however, zeroed-in on what they called a lack of oversight within the EPA to ensure that $41.5 billion in nonprofit grants funded by Biden's 2022 Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) were properly used.

In a public statement, Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) said, 'It couldn't be more clear: The Biden-Harris administration rewards its environmental special interests at the expense of the American people.'

'Equally as alarming,' Representative Rodgers noted in the joint-statement, 'is how these policies benefit the Chinese Communist Party — the world's worst polluter.'

Approximately $2.8 billion managed by the EPA's Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights (OEJECR) was one specific spending concern in the report.

Another was $50 million given to the Climate Justice Alliance (CJA) that focuses on the 'social, racial, economic and environmental justice issues of climate change,' according to its website.

CJA's work under the EPA grant system would include MEER, a project to reduce climate change with land-based mirrors to reflect light directly back into space, and Rust Belt Harvest, 'harvests and distributes surplus urban fruit and vegetables in Buffalo, NY.'

'The influx of new funding and explosion of new programming discussed above will tax the EPA's oversight and financial awards monitoring capabilities,' the committee's report argued.

And yet, as of August 2024, a total of $89 billion from the IRA — more than twice the $41 billion proposed for EPA grants to 'progressive' nonprofits — has already been spent on US manufacturing investment, according to MIT and the Rhodium Group.

Alongside the EPA grants, over $200 billion has been earmarked for investment in domestic US green tech factories and manufacturing — nearly 500 percent more than the money dedicated to these nonprofits — as part of the Biden's 2022 IRA.

One brand new $1.9 billion electric vehicle battery plant, announced for Marshall County, Mississippi this past January, was praised as 'truly life changing to constituents' by Republican state senator Neil Whaley.

Rare Bees Nuke Mark Zuckerberg's Plan For Atomic-Powered AI Data Center
[ZeroHedge] At an all-hands meeting last week, Mark Zuckerberg reportedly told Meta workers that plans to build an AI data center powered by nuclear energy were scrapped after rare bees were discovered on the proposed site.

Meta's proposed AI data center project with an existing nuclear power plant operator fell apart over environmental and regulatory challenges, according to a Financial Times report, citing two people familiar with the meeting.

The people gave no details about which nuclear power plant Meta planned to build an AI data center in an adjacent lot. They noted that Meta continues to search for locations to tap into carbon-free energy.

Here's more from the report...

Zuckerberg told staffers at the all-hands that, had the deal gone ahead, Meta would have been the first Big Tech group to wield nuclear-powered AI, and would have had the largest nuclear plant available to power data centres, two people said.

One person familiar with the matter said that Zuckerberg has been frustrated with the lack of nuclear options in the US, while China has been embracing nuclear power. China appears to be building nuclear reactors at a fast clip, whereas only a handful of reactors have been brought online over the past two decades in the US.

Incredible power demand growth from AI data centers has sparked a nuclear power revival in the US (but no fast enough when compared with China):

  • Amazon To Invest More Than $500 Million In Small Modular Nuclear Reactors To Power AWS

  • Nuclear Names Surge After Three Mile Island Planned Restart To Power Microsoft Data Centers

  • Nuclear Is Back: US Closes On $1.5 Billion Loan To Resurrect Holtec's Palisades Nuclear Plant

  • Sam Altman-Backed Nuclear Startup Oklo Signs Agreement With Dept. Of Energy For Next Phase Of Siting In Idaho

While we may not always see eye to eye with Zuckerberg, we share his concerns about China outpacing the US in nuclear power development. It's alarming that Western lawmakers, wearing climate crisis blinders, have pushed de-growth global warming and climate policies that only stifle industrial output and fuel inflation, while providing China a clear runway to eclipse the West's economy due to its total disregard for such policies.

It's safe to say that when the Communist Party in China builds coal power plants, concerns about bees are likely the last thing on their minds.

Govt. approves recruitment of 1,500 soldiers for Lebanese Army — Naharnet
[NAHARNET] The caretaker Cabinet on Wednesday approved granting the Defense Ministry a treasury loan to recruit 1,500 soldiers for the Lebanese Army.

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati had announced at the Oct. 24 Paris conference that his government had decided to recruit more troops and could deploy 8,000 soldiers in the south as part of a plan to implement a ceasefire and U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701.
And who's gonna pay for that?
He added that war-hit Lebanon would need international financial support to equip and train the army.

The European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, told reporters in Paris that the 27-nation bloc would give the Lebanese Army 20 million euros ($21.59m) this year and 40 million euros ($43.18m) next year.

Iran says student in underwear protest moved to ‘specialized care center’
[IsraelTimes] An Iranian student who stripped to her underwear in Tehran in protest at alleged harassment over her clothing was transferred to a center of “specialized care,” Iran’s embassy to Paris says.

“The student in question suffers from psychological fragility and was transferred by an ambulance of the emergency social services to a specialized care center,” it says in a statement, without giving further details on the nature of the center.

Concern has grown over the whereabouts and welfare of the young woman, with activists worried authorities could confine her in a psychiatric institution.

UCP is investigating the executions of 124 Ukrainian Armed Forces prisoners by Russians
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] Ukraine Investigates 49 Cases of Russian Murders of 124 Prisoners of War.

In Ukraine, 49 criminal cases are being investigated regarding the murders of 124 prisoners of war at the front.

Law enforcement officers are investigating 49 criminal cases on the facts of the murder of 124 prisoners of war on the battlefield. This was reported by the head of the Department for Combating Crimes Committed in the Context of Armed Conflict of the Office of the Prosecutor General Denis Lysenko on air at Suspilne on Wednesday, November 6.

According to him, the rapid increase in cases of killings of Ukrainian defenders during surrender began in late 2023 and reached unprecedented proportions this year. Most cases were recorded in the Donetsk region.

The day before, two more cases of killing Ukrainian prisoners of war during surrender were registered in Donetsk Oblast. These events took place on October 23 in the eastern part of the city of Selydove, when three prisoners of war were killed, and on November 1 near the urban-type settlement of Vyshneve in the Selydove territorial community, when three more prisoners of war were shot by the occupiers.

Meanwhile, in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces captured a Russian captor who witnessed the murder of Ukrainian prisoners of war and the posthumous beheading of them, the Ukrainian Airborne Assault Troops reported.

A serviceman of the 155th separate marine brigade of the Russian Pacific Fleet admitted that in October 2022, while serving a sentence in one of the colonies, he agreed to sign a contract with the private military company Wagner. As part of its units, he first participated in the assault on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Soledar and Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. In June 2023, he joined the "march" on Moscow, organized by the then leader of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin.

According to the captor, in June of this year he signed a new contract and joined the 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Federation. In August, when the brigade was transferred to the Kursk Region of the Russian Federation, he took direct part in the fighting as an assistant grenade launcher.

At the end of September, in the area of the village of Glushkovo, he witnessed the murder of two Ukrainian prisoners of war. According to the Russian, the unit commander gave the order for the execution and subsequent cutting off of their heads from their bodies. The prisoner of war named him, as well as the names of the soldiers who directly carried out this crime.

Let us recall that earlier in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian fighters destroyed an assault group from a Russian brigade involved in the execution of Ukrainian prisoners.

Chinese scientists have built a 'real-life DEATH STAR': Terrifying Star Wars-inspired weapon focuses microwave beams to wipe out enemy satellites
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Chinese scientists claim to have created a 'real-life Death Star' capable of devastating enemy satellites in orbit.

The science-fiction-inspired weapon combines pulses of microwave radiation into a single powerful beam - just like the planet-destroying lasers shown in Star Wars.

In order to merge, the electromagnetic pulses must hit the exact same target within 170 trillionths of a second.

That requires levels of timing more precise than the atomic clocks on advanced GPS satellites - a feat previously thought to be impossible.

However, the weapon has now completed experimental trials for potential military applications thanks to breakthroughs in 'ultra-high time precision synchronisation'

Makhachkala Airport Suspends Operations After UAV Attack on Kaspiysk
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Makhachkala airport has suspended operations in order to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights, Rosaviatsiya press secretary Artem Korenyako reported on November.

“The airport is temporarily not accepting or sending flights,” Korenyako wrote on his Telegram channel.

The restrictions were introduced at 08:35 Moscow time; flight safety is the top priority, he added.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on the morning of November 6, air defense systems intercepted a drone over the city of Kaspiysk in Dagestan. The head of the republic, Sergei Melikov, said that the details of the UAV attack were being established and an operational headquarters was working. There were no reports of casualties or damage. This was the first time a drone attack was recorded in Dagestan.

-Great Cultural Revolution
All is lost. Western liberal media crushed by Trump's victory
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Gevorg Mirzayan

[REGNUM] Donald Trump's victory, and a confident victory at that, which made it impossible to correct the vote either through the "rebellion of the dead" (stuffing on behalf of citizens who died in recent years) or through the "Moldovan diaspora" (mass carousels at polling stations and uncontrolled counting), predictably became the main news of the American media. The overseas press is trying to answer three important questions: how did it happen, who is to blame and how will it all end?

The media agrees that the Democrats underestimated Trump.

“They thought Trump had sunk in his defeat by Biden. They were sure that the arrogance and stupidity he had displayed during his reluctant exit from the presidency had destroyed him politically. They saw him as little more than a sideshow — a malignant character in exile at Mar-a-Lago. A disgraced loser with no prospect of returning to power,” The New Yorker writes.

But Trump was no loser. The Associated Press said the Republican rose and won at the expense of “disillusioned voters.”

"He attacked his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, with language that was often misogynistic and racist, pushing an apocalyptic vision of a country overrun by violent migrants. And that crude rhetoric, coupled with an image of hypermasculinity, resonated with angry voters, especially men, in a deeply divided country," the AP writes.
Goodness. Such unprofessionally emotional language.
In essence, the American majority, which did not share the ideas of ultra-liberalism, felt occupied by a radical minority. They realized that their interests were of no interest to anyone - and as soon as they had a protector in the person of Trump, they voted for him.

Yes, some voted because they liked him personally.

"Most Trump supporters believed the narrative that he was the unfair victim of a corrupt political, legal and media establishment," The Hill notes.
The logic error of believing that it is narrative rather than reality that matters.
That is, the same victim as they themselves, but who can at the same time protect them.

"Trump's supporters see him as a unique figure whose crude, sometimes vulgar and often racist rhetoric positions him as the scourge of political correctness," CNN points out.

After all, as The Wall Street Journal notes, “Trump’s victory is due to his ineradicable habit of saying what he really thinks.”

However, there were also those who did not like Trump, but by voting against him they expressed their protest against the ultra-liberal occupation that is destroying the very foundations of America.
I believer Mr. Mirzayan meant to write …by voting for him…
"His bold plans to upend the country's political system resonated with tens of millions of voters who feared the American dream was becoming increasingly out of reach," The New York Times notes.

And to achieve it, as these tens of millions believe, the entire old world must be destroyed.

"Americans Just Vote to Burn It All Down," Slate sums up.
Oh no. What Americans want, at least those who voted for Donald Trump, is to preserve and renew what existed before President Biden, et al did their best to eradicate it.
As The Hill notes, Trump became the second Republican president in 36 years to win not only the electoral votes, but also the popular vote — that is, to achieve greater support from the electorate than his Democratic opponent.
As far as we know, anyway. The level of documented fraud in 2020 makes it impossible to know what the final score actually was.
The Democrats themselves (who, of course, refuse to believe that Trump won because of ultra-liberal excesses and the elites' contempt for the population) are now facing a long period of appointing the guilty. The Hill predicts that the blame for the defeat will now begin to be shifted.

In particular, they will look for someone to blame for Biden's untimely withdrawal from the race. Of course, the outgoing president will be named as one of the culprits.
Didn’t Nancy Pelosi proudly claim credit at the time for rescuing Democratic presidential ambitions by driving President Biden to retire from the field?
“Biden’s legacy will no longer be defined by his success in removing Trump from power in 2020, but by his hubris in seeking a second term… which paved the way for his political rival,” CNN points out.
Why should he have not, when all involved assured the world that he was supremely able, unlike that mentally failing OrangeManBad?
But, in addition to Biden, the leadership of the Democratic Party, which failed to take responsibility and remove Biden from participating in the election through legal procedures, will also be held responsible.
What legal procedures are available to prevent someone from running for office? Nuts do it all the time.
"The party's lack of desire to hold a competitive primary against Biden will be questioned by those who believe such a primary would either strengthen Harris's position or produce a better candidate," the publication assures.
Only the latter is possible. As we have now twice seen, the lady is incapable of running successfully for office at the national level.
The Democratic Party leadership will also be criticized for the fact that, having organized, according to The New York Post, a palace coup against Biden, it was unable to put forward a sensible alternative. That is, any other candidate except Harris, who, in her thirst for the White House, refused to give way to more passable candidates.
Who could they propose? Governor Newsom? AOC? Senator Bernie Sanders? Unfortunately for them, they have no bench at all, let alone a deep one.
“Donors commissioned polls that showed the only candidate who would be weaker than Biden was Kamala Harris,” The Washington Post recalls.

As a result, as expected, “the country rejected the first DEI (embodying the ideas of tolerance. - Ed.) candidate for president,” writes Newsweek.

"A ridiculous and unqualified woman, chosen solely on the basis of her race and gender, whose only argument was that she was not Donald Trump," the publication clarifies.

A significant portion of the American media agrees that Trump's opponents need to prepare to live in a different America.

“A country where millions of our fellow citizens voted for a president who knowingly encourages hatred and division. Who lies — brazenly, shamelessly — every time he appears in public. Who plotted to overturn the 2020 election,” the Atlantic’s authors do not hide their emotions.

The problem, Vox argues, is not just Trump's immorality but his intentions, since "throughout the campaign, Trump has shown himself obsessed with two ideas: exerting personal control over the federal government
…so he can drastically shrink it, a heretical thought…
and exacting 'retribution' against the Democrats who defied him and the prosecutors who indicted him."
Those who so completely and vindictively break the law need to be punished as a discouragement to others.
The authors of the publication predict that the Republican will replace the entire professional capital bureaucracy with political appointees and turn Washington into "Budapest-on-the-Potomac." That is, he will adopt authoritarian practices that, they say, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban uses.
Or just get rid of half of it altogether, like President Javier Milei of Argentina.
There will be no one to stop Trump.

"His Republican critics in Congress have largely been defeated or resigned. The federal courts are now filled with judges he appointed," the Associated Press writes.

Moreover, journalists recall the recent decision of the Supreme Court (a third of whose judges are Trump appointees) on the immunity of the head of state for decisions made in office.

"Trump's new mandate will raise new concerns that he plans to follow through on his belief that presidents wield nearly unlimited power.
You mean governing with a phone and a pen like Presidents Obama and Biden? Except a shrunken government will give the president less power.
He has (...) spoken openly about using America's governing institutions and even the military to punish his enemies. He has promised to launch mass deportations of illegal and even some legal immigrants, which could spark legal battles," CNN points out.
Last time he was in office the illegals self-deported. I am eager to see if that process will wait as long as next week to become noticeable.
Trump’s future foreign policy vectors also receive attention, albeit much less. CNN laments that abroad, Trump is likely to “once again turn the United States into one of the world’s greatest sources of unpredictability,” and that “the mercurial foreign policy that reflects his explosive nature will further undermine Washington’s position as the head of the rules-based Western democratic world order.”

In general, the liberal Western media is experiencing apocalyptic sentiments.

“A second Trump term is an existential threat to the United States. The next four years will be the most serious threat to American democracy since the Civil War. If it survives them, it will likely emerge battered and battle-scarred,” Vox concludes.

#2  When these people say “democracy” they do not mean “the will of the people expressed at the ballot box”

They changed the definition

They mean “the institution we and our elite friends control: the spy agencies and the ecosystem of non-profits and front groups like the NED and Atlantic council, the State Department, the bureaucracy like the DHHS and niaid,”

fauci is “the democracy”
Nuland is “the democracy”
The politicised fbi is “the democracy”

Hezbollah says tens of thousands of fighters ready to battle Israel
[NEWARAB] Hezbollah said Wednesday that tens of thousands of its bully boyz were ready to fight Israel, adding that the US election result would have no bearing on the war in Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel.
The Iran-backed group's leader also warned that nowhere in Israel would be "off-limits" to attacks, as the Israeli military said about 120 projectiles had been fired across the border on Wednesday.

The Israeli military struck Hezbollah's main bastion in the southern suburbs of Beirut after issuing an evacuation warning.

Israel and Hezbollah have been trading fire since October last year when Hezbollah said it was opening a "support front" for Gazoo

. The violence dramatically escalated when Israel widened its war on Lebanon in mid-September.

Efforts to end the war in Gaza have yet to bear fruit, and the war in Lebanon has killed over 3,000 people, according to the Lebanese health ministry. Most of the civilian toll has been accounted for in the past six to seven weeks.

"We have tens of thousands of trained resistance combatants" ready to fight, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem
... the Grand Vizier of the Hezbullies...
said
from Tehran
in a televised speech marking 40 days since his predecessor His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The late, lamented satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...>
was killed in a massive Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
south of Beirut.

The address was aired after Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
's victory in the US election was announced, but had been recorded earlier.

He said the result in the race between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris
former senatrix from California, 2020 Dem presidential hopeful and ultimately Joe Biden's intended successor
would have no impact on any possible ceasefire deal for Lebanon.

"We don't base our expectations for a halt of the aggression on political developments," he said.

"Whether Harris wins or Trump wins, it means nothing to us.

"What will stop this... war is the battlefield" he said, citing fighting in south Lebanon and Hezbollah attacks on Israel.

Earlier on Wednesday, Hezbollah said it targeted a military base near Israel's main airport close to commercial hub Tel Aviv, an attack that Israel's Airports Authority said did not disrupt operations.
The Times of Israel adds:
In a pre-recorded televised address, Qassem says that the war will only end once Israel stops its “aggression” against Lebanon, and only at that point will the terror group agree to indirect negotiations, under the mediation of its ally Nabih Berri, president of the Lebanese Parliament.
Your conditions are acceptable.
Qassem does not indicate a ceasefire in Gaza as a precondition for a halt to its war against Israel.

Qassem claims that the terror group is conducting a defensive war of attrition and has been preparing for a long confrontation since the end of the Second Lebanon War in 2006. He further claims that Hezbollah has “tens of thousands of jihadis that are ready to die as martyrs,” strengthened by their Islamic ideology, their training and their weapons.

Qassem further accuses Israel of aiming to defeat the terror group as a first step toconquering Lebanon, and subsequently to “change the map of the Middle East.”

In response to the Israeli “aggression,” Qassem says that the terror group will continue firing rockets and drones at Israel, and that the launches of the past days are only a taste of what is to come next.

Touching on the heavy toll the war has imposed on the Lebanese civilian population, Qassem claims that it is the “price to pay for victory” and denies that there are frictions between displaced Shiites and other groups inside Lebanon, despite evidence to the contrary.

Qassem also comments on the abduction of a top Hezbollah naval operative in north Lebanon by Israeli commandos last week, saying that it was a “humiliation” for Lebanon and demanding explanations from the Lebanese Armed Forces and UNIFIL, in particular from the German contingent, which mans a naval patrol.

Supreme Court of the Russian Federation upheld Strelkov's sentence for calls to extremism
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has upheld the sentence of Igor Girkin (pseudonym Strelkov ) in the case of public calls for extremism, the court ruling says.

This decision was made after considering the cassation appeal of the convicted man’s lawyers.

“The cassation appeal will be dismissed,” the members of the panel of judges noted.

The court session was held on November 6 behind closed doors. Journalists were allowed to attend the reading of the operative part of the decision.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, Girkin was arrested in July 2023. In January 2024, the Moscow City Court sentenced him to four years in a general regime penal colony in January. The court ruling stated that Girkin called for extremist activity through the Internet.

At the end of May, the Court of Appeal upheld Girkin's sentence. The defense called the sentence unfounded and illegal. The prosecution insisted that the sentence should remain unchanged.

In mid-July, it became known that Girkin had been transferred to the IK-5 penal colony in Kirovo-Chepetsk. Former security officials serve their sentences in this facility.

From May to August 2014, Girkin commanded the Armed Forces of the Donetsk People's Republic. In May 2014, he was appointed Minister of Defense of the DPR. In August of the same year, Girkin was dismissed.

Liberation of Kyiv. The most famous regrouping of the Great Patriotic War
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Video is translatable into English. And Rozhin is correct. The battles that ensued after the Dnepr River crossings near Lutezh are the most important maneuvers of the Great Patriotic War.

[ColonelCassad] Military historian Alexey Isayev on the operation to liberate Kiev and the military trickery of the Red Army command with the transfer of an entire tank army from bridgehead to bridgehead.

Liberation of Kiev. The most famous regrouping of the Great Patriotic War

Abstract:

The area north of Kiev was initially underestimated by the Soviet command as an operational direction in the Battle of the Dnieper in September 1943.

Here it was necessary to overcome not only the Dnieper, but also the Desna, and on the right bank of the path of attack further to the west lay the Irpen and Teterev rivers. The wooded terrain was not conducive to the use of mechanized units, which were the Red Army's strength. On the contrary, the command of Army Group South gathered considerable infantry forces in this area under the command of the 4th Tank Army.

In early October, the 5th Guards Tank Corps of A. Kravchenko advanced to the Lyutezh bridgehead occupied by the 38th Army. Its actions immediately sharply enlivened the battle north of Kiev. The Lyutezh bridgehead's finest hour came at the end of October 1943, when even nature itself supported the plans of the Soviet Headquarters.

Military judge reinstates plea deals for 9/11 mastermind KSM, two other terrorists in shock ruling
[NY Post] A military judge ruled Wednesday that plea deals sparing accused 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and two other terrorists the death penalty must remain in effect.

The stunning move comes three months after Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin revoked the shocking plea deals handed out to Mohammed and two alleged accomplices by the Office of Military Commissions in July.

The order, issued by Air Force Col. and Judge Matthew McCall in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, was first reported by the Associated Press and has not yet been posted publicly.

Family members of the victims of the heinous terror attack, which killed nearly 3,000, were outraged by the judge’s ruling.

"I am livid that this judge overturned the decision and is allowing these defendants to take a plea deal," retired police officer, Jimmy Smith, whose wife Moira was killed on Sept. 11, 2001, told The Post.

"They committed the highest crime in this country and they should receive the worst punishment which in this case is the death penalty," Smith argued. "Also I don’t believe in coincidences, they waited to release this decision until after the election. They overturned it before to help the Democrats in the election."

Dan D’Allara, twin brother of NYPD officer John D’Allara who was killed on 9/11, told The Post that President-elect Donald Trump should use his executive powers to ensure Mohammed and his accomplices are put to death.

"The first Executive Order President Trump should sign is an Executive Order of Execution for the 5 admitted 9/11 plotters", D’Allara said. "They are cowards and they killed a lot of innocent people that day and are continuing to kill people going forward."

New York City Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry described Wednesday’s ruling as "shameful" and called for an immediate fix.

"This is yet another shameful twist in a case that has seen far too many," Hendry said. "The cycle of revicitimizating our hero 9/11 families needs to end. Our government needs to find a way to fix this immediately."

"Justice cannot wait any longer," he added.

The pre-trial agreements pertaining to Mohammed — the accused principal architect of the al Qaeda attacks — and two alleged co-conspirators, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin Attash and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi, spare the men the death penalty in exchange for guilty pleas in the government’s long-running effort to prosecute the alleged terrorists.

The trio has been held at the US military prison in Guantanamo Bay since 2003.

The deals initially offered by the Office of Military Commissions in July sparked a furor among family members of 9/11 victims and survivors of the attacks, with many slamming them as a miscarriage of justice and preferring that the alleged 9/11 co-conspirators face trial.

Austin, 70, subsequently announced that he had relieved the official responsible for signing off on the widely criticized plea agreements from authority and would instead assert his own authority in the matter.

"There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t think of 9/11 and the Americans that were murdered that day; also those who died trying to save lives and the troops and their families who gave so much for this country in the years following that,"

Austin told reporters of his decision. "I’m deeply mindful of my duty to all those whose lives were lost or changed forever on 9/11, and I fully understand that no measure of justice can ever make up for their loss."

"So this wasn’t a decision that I took lightly, but I have long believed that the families of the victims, our servicemembers, and the American public deserve the opportunity to see military commissions — commission trials carried out in this case," he added.

Lawyers for the alleged terrorists slammed the defense secretary’s move as "corrupt," arguing that they were "years" in the making and made in "good faith."

"We have had an unprecedented act by a government official to pull back what was a valid agreement," Walter Ruiz, a lawyer for al Hawsawi, said during a hearing in Guantanamo Bay, according to CNN.

"For us, it raises very serious questions about continuing to engage in a system that seems so obviously corrupt and rigged," he added.

Kathy Vigiano, a retired police officer and widow of Detective Joseph Vigiano, who died on 9/11, told The Post that while she can’t fathom that the alleged terrorists are not going to put to death, she now hopes they are at least locked up for life.

"It’s unbelievable to me that these terrorist won’t get death," Vigiano said. "I can only hope that they get life without the possibility of parole."

Iraqi resistance conducts more strikes against Israeli targets — Hodhod Yemen News Agency
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced on Wednesday two more strikes against Israeli targets in the occupied territories.

In separate statements, the Iraqi resistance group said drone strikes hit vital targets in southern occupied territories and in Haifa.

In the statement, the resistance explained that ''the operations are part of its ongoing resistance against the occupation and in support of our people in Palestine and Lebanon. They are also a response to the massacres committed by the occupiers against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.''

The statements emphasized the continued escalation of operations against Israeli strongholds, stating that attacks will persist at an increasing pace.

On Tuesday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted six vital Israeli sites in Haifa port, northern and southern regions of occupied Palestine, using drones.

IDF withdraws 252nd Reserve Division from Gaza after 3 months
[IsraelTimes] The IDF’s 252nd Reserve Division has been withdrawn from the central Gaza Strip after over three months of operations in the Netzarim Corridor area.

The responsibility for the corridor has now been handed over to the 99th Division.

The IDF says the 252nd Division killed hundreds of terror operatives and demolished over 10 kilometers worth of tunnels and dozens of tunnel shafts during their operations in the area.

The Netzarim Corridor is built around a road south of Gaza City, enabling the IDF to carry out raids in northern and central Gaza while allowing Israel to control access to the north for Palestinians seeking to return after fleeing south.

In recent months, the IDF has been expanding the corridor, reaching as far as the outskirts of Gaza City’s Zeitoun Neighborhood to the north, and the Wadi Gaza stream to the south.

Lebanon files UN complaint against Israel over Hezbollah pager blasts
Is this likely to accomplish anything effective?
[IsraelTimes] Lebanon says it has filed a complaint with the United Nations’ labor agency
…why does the UN have one of those?
over deadly attacks on communication devices held by Hezbollah operatives across the country in September, which it blames on Israel.

Lebanese Labor Minister Mustafa Bayram claims the attack was an “egregious war against humanity, against technology, against work,” saying his country has filed the complaint with the International Labour Organization in Geneva.
"I can't make the peace sign without my fingers!"
“It’s a very dangerous precedent,” he tells journalists in the Swiss city at an event organized by the UN correspondents’ association ACANU.

In September, before Israel launched a ground operation in Lebanon following a year of non-stop cross-border attacks by the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group, thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah exploded, killing dozens of people and injuring thousands more across Lebanon, in what has widely been reported as a successful Mossad operation.

Israel has not officially taken responsibility for the attacks, but Bayram says it is “widely accepted internationally… that Israel was behind this heinous act.”

“In a few minutes, more than 4,000 civilians fell, between martyrs and injured and maimed,” he says, speaking through a translator, while avoiding mentioning that the attack was directed against terror operatives, not civilians.

Among the victims not killed, he says many people “lost their fingers; some have totally lost their eyesight.”

“We are in a situation where ordinary objects, objects you use in daily life, become dangerous and lethal,” he claims.

“If left unchecked, this crime could become normalized,” he says, adding that filing the complaint is meant “to prevent such crimes from happening in the future.”

What does it feel like to drive through Jabalya, northern Gaza, with the IDF?
[Jpost] On November 5, I spent a day with the Israel Defense Forces in northern Gaza. The trip took me from the border of Israel and Gaza into the heart of Jabalya, where the IDF has been fighting Hamas for the last month. Jabalya is a large, sprawling neighborhood north and northeast of Gaza City. It has a refugee camp that dates back to 1948, and the camp became the heart of a dense urban neighborhood.

Egypt joins Turkey’s call for UN arms embargo on Israel
I had such high hopes for President General al-Sisi, once upon a time.
[IsraelTimes] Egypt joins a call led by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
and backed by dozens of countries urging the United Nations
...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly...
to halt arms deliveries to Israel, citing concerns over their use.

The call comes as Israel battles Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
in the Gazoo Strip while also fighting a war against Hezbollah in Leb.

A foreign ministry statement says Egypt has joined the call as part of "international efforts to pressure Israel to cease its continuous violations of international law and international humanitarian law."

It also aims to stop "Israeli violations" against Paleostinians and protect civilians, the statement reads.

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon on Monday accused Turkey of "malice" after Ankara submitted a letter signed by 52 countries calling for a halt in arms deliveries to Israel.

Egypt was the first Arab country to sign a peace treaty with Israel in 1979, followed by Jordan in 1994.

In 2020, the Abraham Accords, mediated by the United States, saw the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco recognize Israel.

At least 38 people have been killed in multiple attacks around Baalbek
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

… Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem
... the Grand Vizier of the Hezbullies...
says he does not think ’political action’ will end the war with Israel.

At least 38 people have been killed in multiple attacks around Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley as Israel ramps up strikes on eastern Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, according to the regional governor.

Bachir Khodr, governor of the Baalbek Hermel governorate, said on Wednesday that about 40 Israeli strikes on the province killed 38 people and injured 54 others.

Meanwhile,
...back at the cheese factory, all the pieces finally fell together in Fluffy's mind...
at dusk, more Israeli strikes hit Beirut’s southern suburbs. This came after the Israeli army issued forced evacuation warnings for three areas in southern Lebanon.

Israeli military spokesperson said on X that residents in the southern suburbs of Burj al-Barajneh, Laylaki and Haret Hreik must leave, adding, "You are located near facilities and interests affiliated with Hezbollah, against which the [military] will act in the near future."

An hour after the warnings, there were at least four Israeli strikes in the area. There was no immediate report on possible casualties and what was targeted.

"When the enemy decides to stop the aggression, there is a path for negotiations that we have clearly defined — indirect negotiations through the Lebanese state and Speaker [of parliament Nabih] Berri," said Qassem in a recorded address marking 40 days since his predecessor, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The late, lamented satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...>
, was killed in a strike.

"We have tens of thousands of trained resistance combatants," the Hezbollah chief added.

Meanwhile,
...back at the cheese factory, all the pieces finally fell together in Fluffy's mind...
Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Wednesday that Israel’s attacks on Lebanon were becoming "crimes against humanity".

Mikati told Lebanon’s cabinet that Israel was obstructing international efforts to end the fighting and that he held the international community responsible for Israel’s "relentless war" against his people.

Speaker of the House Berri met United States and Saudi ambassadors in Lebanon on Wednesday to discuss political developments, his office said without elaborating on details.

US efforts to stop the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, which included a 60-day ceasefire proposal, lost momentum last week in the run-up to the US election, in which former President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
was re-elected.

According to the Israeli army, since Wednesday morning, 120 rockets have been fired from Lebanon to Israel.

Earlier in the day, Hezbollah said it targeted a military base near Israel’s main airport near Tel Aviv. The Israel Airports Authority said the attack did not disrupt operations.

Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health said that since the fighting began last year, more than 3,000 people have been killed in Israeli strikes on Lebanon, with the majority occurring in the past six weeks.

Former AG Bill Barr says prosecutors should drop Trump cases: ‘Do the right thing'
[The Hill] Former Attorney General Bill Barr encouraged prosecutors to drop pending charges against President-elect Trump, saying the public "have rendered their verdict."

"The American people have rendered their verdict on President Trump, and decisively chosen him to lead the country for the next four years," Barr said in an interview with Fox News, after the White House race was called for Trump.

"They did that with full knowledge of the claims against him by prosecutors around the country and I think Attorney General Garland and the state prosecutors should respect the people’s decision and dismiss the cases against President Trump now," he added.

Trump was convicted in New York on 34 felony charges related to hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels and still faces indictments in three other trials. His actions to block the peaceful transfer of power after his 2020 loss sparked federal charges as well as a case in Georgia, while the former president also faced federal counts for retaining classified documents at his Florida estate, before the case was indefinitely postponed by the judge.

Trump is set to face sentencing in the New York case later this month but has also sought to toss the case after the Supreme Court ruled that former presidents retain broad immunity after leaving office.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) under a second Trump administration is widely expected to move to drop both federal cases against the president-elect.

The GOP presidential nominee also pledged to fire special counsel Jack Smith, who is overseeing the election interference cases, "within two seconds."

While I agree, the Prosecutors & Judges involved were political and not legal code based.

To avoid a legal system precedent, the cases should be independently reviewed and clearly shown to be politically based, and not legal code based.

Above all, it must be an open, fair and honest review to avoid it looking like a Banana Republic Political Revenge move.

Then EVERY person involved and/or failed to adhere to their Oath Of Office should be indited, banned from Government, and/or have their Licenses to practice law revoked.

Malaysian [Fat Leonard] jailed for US Navy corruption scandal
[BBC] US jails Fat Leonard in Navy's biggest bribery scandal

A Malaysian businessman has been sentenced to 15 years in jail for his role in the US Navy's biggest corruption scandal and for skipping a previous sentencing hearing.

Leonard Glenn Francis, known as "Fat Leonard", pleaded guilty in 2015 to bribing senior Navy officials with millions of dollars in cash, prostitutes, luxury travel and top-shelf liquor and cigars.

In exchange, Francis said he received classified information and was able to overcharge the Navy $35m (£27m) for his company's services to the 7th Fleet based in the Indo-Pacific.

He had been due for sentencing in 2022 but he escaped in September that year by cutting off his ankle bracelet, and was recaptured within days.

The US Attorney's Office said Tuesday's sentence reflected admissions in his 2015 guilty plea, his "extensive cooperation with the government", and his guilty plea earlier on Tuesday for failing to attend the original sentencing hearing.

The court also fined the 60-year-old $150,000 and ordered him to pay the US Navy $20m in restitution.

His company, Singapore-based Glenn Defense Marine Asia, was also sentenced on Tuesday to five years probation and was fined $36m.

US officials said the scandal had weakened public trust in some Navy leaders and its fallout will be long-felt.

Francis was arrested in California in 2013 and he pleaded guilty to bribery and fraud charges in 2015.

After his escape in September, he was recaptured days later in Venezuela while trying to get to Russia.

His case came to be known as the Fat Leonard scandal because of Francis' rotund frame at that time.

Francis was returned to California last December under a prisoner swap between the US and Venezuela that saw Washington release an ally of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in exchange for 10 American detainees.

"Leonard Francis lined his pockets with taxpayer dollars while undermining the integrity of US Naval forces," said US Attorney Tara McGrath in a statement.

"The impact of his deceit and manipulation will be long felt, but justice has been served today," McGrath said.

The bribery and corruption that Francis had "fostered" within the US Navy over many years was "aggravated and egregious", but under custody, he helped investigators uncover "unprecedented levels of corruption" in the establishment, the US Attorney's Office said.

Francis provided investigators with detailed information on hundreds of sailors, from petty officers to admirals.

“Mr. Francis’ sentencing brings closure to an expansive fraud scheme that he perpetrated against the US Navy with assistance from various Navy officials," said Kelly Mayo, Director of the defence department's Office of the Inspector General.

"Mr. Francis’ actions not only degraded the 7th Fleet’s readiness but shook the Fleet’s trust in its leadership who furthered his corrupt practices,” Kelly said.

Palestine Action vandals stole the wrong statue in university raid - grabbing head of CBE-winning professor who played in FA Cup final rather than bust of Israel's first president
What idiots. These things are usually labelled so that the students, ignorant darlings that they are, will learn who is held up before them as examples.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Pro-Palestinian activists who claimed to have 'beheaded' a bust of Israel's first president also mistakenly stole a statue of a CBE-winning professor.

Campaigners from Palestine Action were filmed on Saturday violently smashing their way through a glass cabinet with hammers before grabbing a pair of statues.

They said that both portrayed Chaim Weizmann, but it has been revealed that one was actually a professor who pushed for women's education.

The group later posted an image of one of the statues without a head and declared the 'first bust of Weizmann is dead'.

The University of Manchester said they believe the decapitated figure was Weizmann, but the other is of Harold Dixon, a former professor of chemistry.

Prof Dixon specialised in the cause of mine explosions, and used this knowledge in the First World War as the Deputy Inspector of High Explosives for Manchester.

He was also an amateur footballer who played for Oxford University in the 1873 FA Cup Final and an early supporter of women's education in physics.

Prof Dixon spent much of his life living in Fallowfield, more than 3,000 miles away from Israel. It's not yet known which sculpture Palestine Action has 'beheaded'.

The group shared a post on X on Tuesday (November 5), showing one of the sculptures without its head, alongside the comment: 'First bust of Weizmann is dead. Soon, his zionist project will be too!'

In a previous post on Wednesday, both busts were shown wearing a keffiyeh, a Palestinian scarf. The group wrote: 'Weizmann is now under Palestine Action's control.'

The group shared video footage over the weekend of the moment the two busts were taken from the university. GMP has been investigating the incident this week and no arrests have been made so far.

Politician and life peer John Woodcock, known as Lord Walney, said the chilling action by the activists 'may be interpreted as incitement'.

He said: 'The latest provocation from Palestine Action - 'beheading' the statue of President Weizmann while the memory of terrorist atrocities on 7 October is fresh and hostages are still held. It may be interpreted as incitement.

'It is certainly designed to terrorise British Jews.'

Advocacy group Campaign Against Antisemitism denounced the incident as 'macabre' and said the authorities had failed to clamp down on a group now 'terrorising' the Jewish community. A spokesperson said: 'Palestine Action is now carrying out a macabre mock beheading.

'It is a criminal enterprise operating freely in the UK and terrorising the Jewish community.

'The authorities have been too lax on Palestine Action. Given the events of this weekend, it is clear that Palestine Action will only continue to escalate its campaign of criminality, and the authorities are failing to stand in its way.

'Whether that's due to an unwillingness to take action or an inability to do so due to the constraints of existing legislation, the result is that a group of petty vandals continue to terrorise the British public and, in particular, the Jewish community and its institutions.

'This has got to change. We are talking to the Government and our legal team is reviewing existing legislation to assess its effectiveness in tackling what has become essentially a criminal organisation that wrecks businesses and charities, and terrorises the Jewish community.

'The police and the Government must take urgent steps to ensure that Palestine Action faces enforcement action.'

Prior to becoming an Israeli statesman, Weizmann was a renowned biochemist and a lecturer at Manchester University during the early 1900s.

Palestine Action took responsibility for the stunt, saying on X they had 'abducted' the busts. In the campaign group's X page, formerly Twitter, it said: 'Palestine Action abduct sculptures of Israel's first president, Chaim Weizmann, from the University of Manchester.

'Weizmann secured the Balfour Declaration, a British pledge written 107 years ago, which began the ethnic cleansing of Palestine by signing the land away.'

A day later, an image appeared of the busts, one wrapped in a red keffiyeh, the other in a white one, with the group saying 'Weizmann is now under Palestine Action's control'.

On Monday, the group posted again on X, showing a video of the busts which were now defaced with the words 'Smash' and 'Zionism' written on each of them in red paint.

Just hours later, the group have beheaded one of the busts.

In a longer statement posted on its website, Palestine Action said on Saturday: 'Today, Palestine Action have marked, by taking two sculptures of Israel's first president, Chaim Weizmann, from its display case at University of Manchester.'

The statement went on to say: 'Over several meetings, Weizmann who as 'the rocks of Judea, obstacles that had to be cleared on a difficult path', lobbied Balfour into assisting the Zionist colonisation of Palestine.

Duncan Ivison, the President and Vice-Chancellor at The University of Manchester said: 'On the evening of Friday, 1 November, intruders to the Chemistry Building smashed the window of a display cabinet and stole a bust of former University of Manchester academic, Chaim Weizmann, who later became the first President of Israel. It was one of several incidents committed around the country.

'We have notified the police, who are investigating. This was an act of vandalism and makes no contribution whatsoever to a better understanding of the current conflict in the Middle East.

'Over more than a year, we have seen peaceful protests on campus and the exchange of strongly held views. We welcome this as part of our fundamental role as a university – a place dedicated to the discussion of often difficult ideas and beliefs.

'Alongside our deep commitment to academic freedom is our commitment to the values of community, tolerance and respect. Freedom and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do.

'We regularly host many events which discuss all sides of the current conflict in the Middle East, including a debate last week in Whitworth Hall. Although attempts were made to stop the event, it proceeded in full, and as difficult as the discussion was, different perspectives on the conflict were aired and debated, as they should be.

'We know these issues are of great concern to our University community, particularly those with friends, family or close ties to the region, and we express our sympathy for all those caught up in the escalating conflict, as well as our hope for peace.

'None of these discussions are easy. They can cause discomfort and pain to many in our community. However, it is crucial in a free society that they occur, within the law, and always with the aim of seeking mutual understanding, and not vilification or hate.'

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police told MailOnline earlier this week: 'Shortly before midnight last night (1 November 2024), we received a report of a burglary at a university building on Oxford Road, Manchester.

Officers have attended the scene and liaised with the university and their security team as part of their ongoing enquiries.

RFK Jr. says ‘entire departments' at FDA ‘have to go'
[The Hill] Former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is slated to hold a potentially big role in a new Trump administration, said Wednesday there are "entire departments" within the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that "have to go."

"In some categories... there are entire departments, like the nutrition department at the FDA... that have to go, that are not doing their job, they’re not protecting our kids," Kennedy said during an interview on MSNBC.

"We don’t know what I’m going to do. I talked to the president about it yesterday, and he asked me what I wanted, and I said, we’re developing a proposal now," Kennedy said during a separate interview with Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, who asked if Kennedy is getting the job of Health and Human Services secretary.

That job would require Senate confirmation. Republicans appear likely to have a majority in the Senate of at least 52 seats, but it is unclear how easy it would be to get Kennedy confirmed. There has been plenty of speculation that Kennedy would serve in a role that does not require Senate confirmation.
I don’t think he has large-organization managerial experience, so better if he remains an advisor, leaving the day-to-day to someone more suited.

#3  If RFK Jr can release the data we know they collected on the clot shots

Then Australia will have no choice but to also retreat from mandated jabs

We are still being forced to have them under threat of our jobs and it all came from here

It only needs one big country to free the data and we will all have to follow because then our countries cannot keep lying to the people

SO many dead and injured — SO many cancers because of this repurposed gene therapy bullsh*t

#11  My next book purchase. Coincidence on the title? I think not.

“'n Boer maak 'n plan” is a South African phrase that translates to "a farmer makes a plan". It's often used to describe creative and determined logistical solutions. For example, a moving company might use the phrase to describe a system they created to move large items out of a house without damaging the walls or furniture.
The word “Boer” is Dutch for “farmer”. The Boers were a group of white people who emigrated to South Africa, mainly from Holland. They were skilled in guerrilla warfare, but eventually surrendered to the British in 1902. The descendants of the Boers are called Afrikaners, and today they make up over half of South Africa's white population.
