Kamala Harris Wows 'Em In Paris
Ahhh - who am I kidding? It's a train wreck!
[Twitchy] - Vice President Kamala Harris’ approval rating is around 28 percent according to a recent USA Today poll, and as a result, the White House has been working to make the VP a little more relatable and likable. The rehab effort has caused Harris to sway too far in the other direction, and the French version of "likable Harris" is something else:

Fight 'White Language Supremacy,' Prof Will Grade on 'Labor' Not Results
[PJMedia] “White language supremacy” is the problem, and destroying grading standards is the solution, at least according to one Arizona State University English professor.

Asao B. Inoue is a professor of Rhetoric & Composition at ASU and he is urging his fellow (xello?) teachers to fight “white language supremacy” by implementing “labor-based grading” which “redistributes power in ways that allow for more diverse habits of language to circulate.”

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Who is Seth Kenney? 'Rust' shooting investigation focuses on 'armorer mentor'
[Meaww.com] Hannah Gutierrez Reed, 24, wasn’t the only weapons wrangler involved in the 'Rust' tragedy, but a second gun expert called Seth Kenney was also part of the set. Kenney owns a licensed Lake Havasu City, Ariz., weapons and props rental company. Late in September, Kenney was added to the 'Rust' crew as an 'armorer mentor' for Gutierrez Reed, claimed an internal 'Rust' crew list shared with the Los Angeles Times. The 'Rust' tragedy involved cinematographer Halyna Hutchins being killed after actor Alec Baldwin's prop gun misfired.

Kenney, 51, recommended Gutierrez Reed for the armorer job, sources told the Los Angeles Times. According to six people who are familiar with the matter, Kenney also supplied the guns used in 'Rust'. Two sources said Kenney provided the Colt .45 that Baldwin fired that day.

WHO IS SETH KENNEY?
How large of a role Kenney played as Gutierrez Reed's 'mentor', however, is unclear. A number of longtime prop masters have claimed that they have never heard of such a position and that the employment of an 'armorer mentor' for a film or TV production is very rare. According to one longtime armorer, supervisory roles are usually called a 'key armorer' or 'weapons master'. A more common title, according to another prop master, would be 'armorer assistant' for the more junior person.

Kenney was an entrepreneur in San Clemente over two decades back. Back then, Kenney, along with his then-wife, was part-owner of several San Clemente businesses, including a stationery store, Cheers; a gift shop, Summer House; and the Del Mar Bicycle Co., which Seth Kenney ran, a 1996 article in The Times claims. Kenney has been working in the film industry for at least a decade, and was listed as a 'weapon's consultant' on the 2015 Shia LaBeouf film 'Man Down'.

Kenney worked at the Hand Prop Room from 2011 to 2016, where he handled the store's weapons arsenal. He also dealt with prop masters for shows such as AMC’s 'The Walking Dead', and movies such as 'Django Unchained'. "He’s very knowledgeable in the field. He’s a personable person, very good at educating individuals who aren’t so good at weapons," said an individual who was not authorized to speak publicly. "He customized the weapons for whatever load you’re needing, which is very precise, he’s one of the very few who know how to do that. He provided weapons to hundreds of productions when he worked there."

Later, however, there were issues between Kenney and the Hand Prop Room’s owners over alleged misconduct and missing guns. Following the falling out, the Hand Prop Room filed suit against Kenney in Los Angeles County Superior Court in May 2016. It accused Kenney of taking some of its weapons in an attempt to start a competing business. It also accused Kenney of trying to siphon off its clients for his own business.

Back in January 2016, Kenney had formed his own company called PDQ Media Arm & Prop in Georgia. In its lawsuit, the Hand Prop Room claimed that Kenney was trying to poach one of its longtime customers -- the prop master of 'The Walking Dead'. They accused Kenney of opening his own firm in April 2016 while he was still employed with them. However, the case was dismissed in 2017 after the Hand Prop Room asked for it.

#3  Face it, he will skate. He might even qualify for an insanity plea.
He should have never been allowed near a gun of any type. His contempt for 'guns' blinded him. The most rudimentary level of gun safety training would have informed him that 'every gun is presumed loaded'.

No, the gun did not misfire. It fired. It worked exactly as it was supposed to. Why there was live ammunition on a film set I'll never know.

#10  This whole thing is disgusting. If anyone but a prominent lefty celebrity had shot someone who later died of the gunshot, they would long since have been in jail charged with murder.

The only reason I can think of why this is stringing out so long is that the DA is considering whether indicting Alec Baldwin would help or hurt a run for state Attorney General in the future.

#12  I don't think the feds would normally be involved, no charges, let alone any of the restrictions that come with being out on bail. You of course would maybe see US Marshals in a high-profile flight to avoid prosecution situation, but that's not the case here.

#13  the employment of an 'armorer mentor' for a film or TV production is very rare.

That is because the position of armorer is a grown-up job with some life-or-death responsibilities. If you mess up, people get hurt/dead. Presumably, Gutierrez-Reed got the job via apprenticing with her famous in-the-business dad. The presence of an armorer mentor suggests she was not quite ready for the job.

Normally, the armorer works for the prop master who is in charge of all props on the set. Two separate people, lots of stuff to keep track of. In this case, as I understand it, HGR was filling both roles. Likely this did not increase attention to detail in the armorer role. Although, the bean counters were pleased.

China delivers the biggest stealth warship it has built to Pakistan
[OneIndia] China has delivered to Pakistan the largest and most warship with stealth capabilities. The Chinese state media reported that the commissioning of the warship highlights the Sino-Pakistan all weather strategic cooperative partnership.

The PNS Tughril is the first of the four Type 054 frigates being constructed for the Pakistan Navy, is a technologically advanced and highly capable platform with enormous surface to surface, surface to air and underwater firepower, besides extensive surveillance potentials, the Global Times reported.

Designed and built by the China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, the frigate was delivered to Pakistan in a commissioning ceremony in Shanghai. Compared to the previous ships the new one has better air defence capabilities. It is equipped with a new radar system and a large amount of missiles with a longer range, Zhang Junshe, a senior research fellow at the PLA Naval Research Academy, told the Global Times.

US-trained Afghan pilots and other personnel boarded a US-brokered flight out of Tajikistan
[TWITTER]

“It's a relief,” said David Hicks, a retired US brigadier general who is helping lead a charity called Operation Sacred Promise working to evacuate and resettle Afghan air force personnel.

The Afghan personnel in Tajikistan represented the last major group of US-trained pilots who fled abroad and were still known to be in limbo.

The group of evacuees included a US-trained Afghan pilot at an advanced stage of pregnancy, who had expressed fear for her unborn baby in an interview with.

The group flew to Tajikistan in military aircraft at the end of the war, was detained by Tajik authorities and had been awaiting a US relocation - hoping the transfer to the Middle East will lead to eventual US resettlement.

Rooters detailed accounts from the pregnant pilot and other members of the group about their frustrations with their detention, and was first to report US plans to relocate them.

The Pentagon estimated that the expected group of evacuees totaled about 191 - larger than the more than 150 Afghans previously known to be at two sites in Tajikistan. It did not explain the figures.

Afghan air force personnel flew dozens of military aircraft to Tajikistan and to Uzbekistan in August as the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
swept to power.

In September, a US-brokered deal allowed a larger group of Afghan pilots and other military personnel to be flown out of Uzbekistan to the United Arab Emirates.

Even before the Taliban's takeover, the US-trained, English-speaking pilots had become prime targets of the Taliban because of the damage they inflicted during the war. The Taliban tracked down the pilots and assassinated them off-base.

Afghanistan's new rulers have said they will invite former military personnel to join the revamped security forces and that they will come to no harm. But pilots who spoke with Rooters say they believe they will be killed if they return to Afghanistan.

Luciferase, an enzyme produces bioluminescence is used in the COVID vaccine process and antibody test
[Substack] Luciferase is INCLUDED in the mRNA sequence of the Moderna patent! And the corporate media is wrong. Does this surprise anybody?

The corporate press has already admitted that Luciferase was used in the testing phase of the vaccines as well. So it’s listed in the mRNA sequence of the Moderna patent AND it’s used in the testing of the vaccines.

1) Go to the MODERNA website.

2) Click: the PATENTS page.

3) Click: PATENT US 10,703,789

4) Do a keyword search for: Luciferase.

The new COVID-19 antibody test is called SATiN and it uses Luciferase. No, I’m not kidding. Just click here to see for yourself.

Let me repeat that information: the antibody test is called SATiN.

"We basically incubate those three little molecular biological pieces with a prick of blood," Stagljar says. "And if there are antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 in the blood, these antibodies will ’glue’ the three parts of luciferase into a functional molecule that will start shining."

In other words, you need to have COVID-19 antibodies present to make the enzyme glow. When the glow occurs, the researchers can then measure the amount of light emitted with an instrument called a luminometer. The more antibodies a person has, the brighter the luciferase will shine.

There’s something very wrong here. You know it and I know it. You don’t have to be a Christian to understand: names matter. It’s not an accident that they’ve given this name to this test. It’s a warning.

Newsmax White House Reporter Emerald Robinson Banned from Twitter for Posting ’Wrongthink’ on COVID Vaccines

Making me wonder if the antibody test is seeing the experimental mRNA injection and artificially jacking up the SATiN antibody count?

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Newsom resurfaces after two weeks, says he chose trick-or-treating over COP26 summit
[WShingtonExaminer] Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Gov. Gavin can't be Bee'd Newsom
...the Mitt Romneyesque mayor of San Francisco as it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of California as it transforms itself into Cinderland...
resurfaced Tuesday after two weeks out of the public eye, saying he skipped the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Scotland to go trick-or-treating with his family — and work on pressing state issues.

The last time Newsom communicated with the public was Oct. 27, when he flexed his muscles after receiving a COVID vaccine booster shot. His absence led to speculation by some he possibly suffered an adverse reaction to the vaccine.

But he reemerged Tuesday to talk about the phenomenal economic recovery of California following a year of lockdowns and subsequent exodus so massive the state lost a House seat.

"I’ve been on this damn treadmill ... crisis to crisis. Wildfires, COVID, the recall," Newsom said. "I signed up to go to Europe, I was ready to go, and I had this dinner, and the kids had an intervention. They couldn’t believe I was going to miss Halloween."

Newsom said Halloween is more significant for his children than Christmas, and he woke up the next morning "with a knot in my stomach." That’s when he canceled the trip and went trick-or-treating dressed up as a pirate instead. He also took his children to his office for a week at the Capitol.

"We would all do well taking some time away from social media," Newsom said.

Newsom closed his talk on a personal note, addressing the booster shot many speculated had felled the Golden State’s controversial governor.

"Get that booster shot. It’s safe, it will save your life," he said. "Literally, the flu shot is what I’m a little sore [from in my arm], not the booster shot."

My father got Bell’s palsy at age 42 by driving in his convertible with the windows open much too early in a Buffalo, NY spring — no vaccine necessary. For the rest of his life (he died a week after his 90th birthday) one side of his face sagged visibly.

Hamas hands death sentence to two alleged collaborators with Israel
[IsraelTimes] Terror group has sentenced 8 alleged Israeli spies in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip to death over the past month

A Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, military court announced on Tuesday that two Gazooks had been sentenced to death for allegedly collaborating with Israel, raising the total number of death sentence
...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead...
s for suspected Israeli spies in Gaza to eight in the past month alone.

The two accused were both sentenced to death by hanging. The Hamas military judiciary identified them as residents of Gaza City aged 57 and 46.

A third Paleostinian man was sentenced to death for drug dealing, Hamas judicial officials said in a statement. Another 11 Paleostinians were handed various prison sentences for drug trafficking and spying for Israel, although officials did not specify how many were convicted of each offense.

The Hamas terror group has ruled the Gaza Strip since 2007, when it took over the enclave in a bloody coup from its rival, the Paleostinian Authority. The Islamists have since dealt harshly with those accused of being Israeli spies.

Based on figures from the B’Tselem rights group and including the fresh cases, some 15 death sentences have been issued this year. At least one of the defendants was tried in absentia.

Hamas has sentenced over 130 people to death since 2007; in practice, it has executed some 25 people, according to B’Tselem. The international community has condemned the practice.

There's a heroin shortage now that the CIA isn't in charge of opium production in Afghanistan any more? What a weird coincidence.

It's a mystery. I guess we'll never know.
It seems to me that a heroin shortage is better than the reverse, though it’ll be a tad uncomfortable for the users. And the CIA, of course, but let us not begrudge them their well-earnt discomfort.

In the mid-1960s, Stockwell dropped out of show business, becoming active in the Topanga Canyon hippie subculture as a close friend of visual artists George Herms and Wallace Berman, fellow child actor and "dropout" Russ Tamblyn, and musician Neil Young.[22][23] "I did some drugs and went to some love-ins," he later said. "The experience of those days provided me with a huge, panoramic view of my existence that I didn't have before. I have no regrets."

He reunited with Bakula in a 2014 episode of NCIS: New Orleans, titled "Chasing Ghosts," and the following year appeared in the film Entertainment (2015).

It was reported in January 2017 by his ex-wife Joy, that he had suffered and recovered from a stroke in 2015 and was retired from acting.

Al-Shabaab militants arrested in southern Somalia
[Garowe] At least 12 al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
bandidos Lions of Islam were arrested in Baidoa on Sunday, authorities in the southern city of Somalia have confirmed, adding that the individuals are currently being probed to give more details about their discreet mission.

Baidoa is the regional administrative capital of Southwest state which has been struggling with rising numbers of bad boys, who control large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.

Mohamud Mohammed Hassan, who is the commander of the intelligence and security agency of Southwest told state media that his forces managed to arrest the terrorist network during the operation.

"We arrested 12 al-Shabaab bandidos Lions of Islam in an operation aimed at ensuring the security of Baidoa town in the Bay region. We are committed to safeguarding our people and candidates during the federal parliamentary elections," Hassan said, adding that the bandidos Lions of Islam were trying to create fear and threat in Baidoa town before they were arrested by the forces.

He added: "We acted swiftly and got hold of them for further interrogation and action. We have established rules that deal with such Lions of Islam and trust me, they will be arraigned in court soonest as prescribed in the rule of law."

The al-Shabaab bandidos Lions of Islam did not comment on the latest security operation in the region but this crackdown comes ahead of parliamentary election in Southwest State, further causing fears that the group may disrupt the exercise.

Al-Shabaab bandidos Lions of Islam have been fighting to topple the fragile UN-backed Somalia administration for over a decade, forcing Somalia to ask for a backup from the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...

#5  Confession: My French class in high school was a long time ago, 57 years now. I clearly remember my French teacher weeping after she reviewed my French SAT achievement test results in 1966. I was somewhere in the 500's (after four desultory years of French). Math and English were respectable, 760 and 800 (1560 as scored today). After ten years in the Army, they were good enough to get me into Harvard Class of 1981 (it was different back then, academic opportunity abounded, fantastic approachable professors (a few assholes admittedly) non-intrusive staff). Now, my kids won't go there unless it is free plus a stipend. One got his post-doc there, via Marvin Minsky (yeah, I know, but things are very flexible post-doc wise). #9  Where's Clemenceau when you need him?

Paraphrasing his joke about President Felix Faure, who died in office in 1899 while receiving a Clinton from his mistress -- here the subject & object are reversed for Madame Skanque La Pompeuse:
"Elle voulait être César, elle ne fait que Pompée

* “Faure died suddenly from apoplexy in the Élysée Palace on 16 February 1899, while engaged in sexual activities in his office with 30-year-old Marguerite Steinheil. It has been widely reported that Felix Faure had his fatal seizure while Steinheil was fellating him, but the exact nature of their sexual intercourse is unknown and such reports may have stemmed from various jeux de mots made up afterward by his political opponents.

“One such pun was to nickname Mme Steinheil “la pompe funèbre” (wordplay in French: “pompes funèbres” means “death care business” and “pompe funèbre” could be translated, literally, as “funeral pump“).

George Clemenceau’s epitaph of Faure, in the same trend, was “Il voulait être César, il ne fut que Pompée” (another wordplay in French; could mean both “he wished to be Caesar, but ended up as Pompey”, or “he wished to be Caesar and ended up being blown“: the verb “pomper” in French is also slang for performing oral sex on a man).

Clemenceau, who was also editor of the newspaper L’Aurore, wrote that “upon entering the void, he [Faure] must have felt at home.”

“In 1898 (and for the first few years of the following century) the French automobile industry was the largest in the world. President Faure was not impressed. Invited to address industry leaders at what, in restrospect [sic], is recorded as the first Paris Motor Show, Faure told his audience, “Your cars are very ugly and they smell very bad” (“Vos voitures sont bien laides et sentent bien mauvais!”)”

Sweden’s government announced that Sweden is going to increase military spending by almost 40% in the next five years and also double the number of people conscripted into its armed forces. The level of funding to the Armed Forces will have increased by SEK 27.5 billion, compared with 2020. In total for five years, 79 billion will be allocated to military defence during the period. The navy will get an extra submarine, increasing the number to five, and the corvette fleet will be updated, while the army and air force will get upgraded weapons systems. This agreement is accorded between the government parties, the Centre Party and the Libera Party. This decision shows that in comparison to 2014, in 2025 the military defence funding will be increased by 85%. - cite.

Turkish airstrikes hit northern Duhok, no casualties: mayor
[Rudaw] Ottoman Turkish Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on Tuesday hit northern Duhok province, an official told Rudaw. The area sees frequent intense festivities between Ottoman Turkish forces and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

"It was Ottoman Turkish airstrikes" that targeted Shelaza village in the Kani Masi area, mayor Sarbast Sabri told Rudaw.

The outskirts of the village were bombed three times between 10 am and noon. "Civilians were not hit in the bombardment," Sabri said, but does not yet have information of material damage.

In April, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
launched the twin operations Claw-Lightning and Claw-Thunderbolt in northern Duhok against the PKK, an gang fighting for greater rights for Kurds in Turkey. Ankara considers it a terrorist organization and has regularly pursued the group across the border.

Civilian populations and the environment have been severely impacted by the conflict. Thousands of acres of land have been scorched, and people’s houses and livestock have been hit. Several civilians have been killed and one family in Hirore is suffering from health problems following a suspected chemical attack.

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has repeatedly called on Turkey to respect its illusory sovereignty and for the PKK to cease using Kurdistan Region territory to launch attacks on its neighbor.

Taliban to investigate former MP’s torture
Will it turn out that the torturers were “pretend” Talibs, or will it be only a pretend investigation followed by a pretend punishment of the real Talib perpetrators?
[KhaamaPress] The ministerial meeting of the interim cabinet of the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
directed investigation of the torture of the former Member of Parliament Allah Gul Mujahid.

The acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan Muhammad Hassan Akhund directed intelligence bodies to investigate the case and bring to justice the culprits.

The decision is made after a video of Allah Gul Mujahid being tortured and ill-treated went viral on social media.

The video shows, Allah Gul Mujahid is seated hand-tightened in the trunk of the truck, surrounded by a group of Taliban affiliates who are accusing him of various crimes and felonies.

The Taliban affiliates are also seen to be mildly beating and cursing him.

Allah Gul Mujahid was reportedly arrested after he defied a warrant from the Taliban who had asked him to go to the district office of Deh Sabz district of Kabul but officials have not commented on the issue yet.

Allah Gul Mujahid was a former Mujahideen commander who was not only warning the previous government but also the Taliban.

The incident took place in the city of Hormaksar. The car of Yemeni correspondent of Al-Sharq TV channel Mahmoud al-Atmi was blown up in the coastal district of Abyan. The explosion killed the correspondent's wife, Yemeni journalist Rasha Abdullah. Al-Atmi himself was seriously injured and was hospitalized in critical condition.

Representatives of the UPC, created in 2017, note that in recent weeks there has been a deterioration in the situation in the southern provinces of Yemen. So on October 30 at the airport in the city of Aden, which is called the temporary capital of Yemen, as a result of a terrorist attack, 12 people were killed. The internationally recognized interim government blamed the Ansar Allah Houthi rebels for the attack.

Earlier, IA REGNUM reported that at least 29 people were injured or died as a result of rocket attacks by the Houthis in the Al-Juba area in the Yemeni province of Marib.

Brian Williams is quitting MSNBC when his contract is up in December
[Page Six] One less paid LIAR
Bye-Bri.

Brian Williams has announced he’s quitting MSNBC next month after nearly three decades with NBC News.

Williams, 62, had been working in the relative hinterlands of the NBC news family for years, scrabbling to turn “The 11th Hour” into a hit following his six-month suspension in 2015 when it came out that he’d falsified details of stories that he’d covered, including one about taking enemy fire while riding in a helicopter in Iraq.

In a note seen by Page Six: he wrote to staff Tuesday: “Following much reflection, and after 28 years with the company, I have decided to leave NBC upon the completion of my current contract in December.

#2

Yes he was a very good Anchor/journalist in his earlier years.

But as some may remember. He was outed for lying and then demoted for fabricating a collection of stories during the Iraq War. Which got him sidelined for 6 months. On return booted out of NBC, exiled to the MSNBC (2015-->2021) group, never to regain his past fame and viewership.

Note: This happen back in a time when the media still had "some" integrity standards.

Half-Naked Knifeman Reportedly Shouting 'Allakhu Akbar' Injures Police Officer in Oslo, Gets Shot
[Sputnik] A man armed with a knife injured a police officer in Bislett, a neighbourhood in north-central Oslo on Tuesday morning and was later rubbed out by police, local media reported, citing officials.

The officer's injuries were not critical, a front man for the local police said.

"The perpetrator launched a physical attack against the police, harming a police officer who had to fire shots in self-defence," police inspector Egil Jørgen Brekke told national broadcaster NRK.

A video has emerged online, showing a half-naked knife-wielding man attacking a person in the patrol car.

The identity of the attacker has not been revealed. The newspaper Nettavisen, however, identified the perpetrator as a 33-year-old Russian citizen, who has previously been convicted of a knife attack on an open street in Grunderløkka district in Oslo in June 2019. He was subsequently sentenced to compulsory mental health care after attempting to kill one person and threatening to kill several others with a knife. The man himself claimed that he does not remember what happened that morning, Nettavisen reported.

The police said they have no knowledge of other victims in connection with the incident in Bislett.

"None other than the police officer and the perpetrator were directly involved. We know that the message that originally went out was that the perpetrator ran after a person with a knife, but there is nothing so far that indicates that there were more injured or more victims," police inspector Egil Jørgen Brekke said at a presser, as quoted by national broadcaster NRK.

According to the police, there is currently nothing that indicates that the incident in Bislett was an act of terror.

"The motive for the action is unclear, and it is too early to conclude. We investigate broadly. The police don't rule out anything, but so far nothing indicates that terror was the motive," Egil Jørgen Brekke said, while admitting that the perpetrator was known to the police from before.

However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster...
Nettavisen reported that the perpetrator quoted the Moslem creed during the attack and shouted "holy shit! Allahu akbar".
That sounds like motivation to me. Unless he said it like “God bless you,” after a sneeze...
Norwegian Police Security Service PST has been informed about the case and is in dialogue with the Oslo Police District about this case, PST senior adviser Anett Aamodt told Nettavisen.

The Olso police assured that locals don't have to fear for safety after the incident.

"For us, this appears as a stand-alone act, so that there is no reason to fear for the safety of the city for others. This is a person who is known to us in the past and who has a history. Based on that, we believe that there is nothing to indicate that it is an act of terrorism," Egil Jørgen Brekke said to the press.

Barely a month ago, Danish citizen and Moslem convert Espen Andersen Bråthen was arrested for killing five people in the Norwegian town of Kongsberg. According to local media, Bråthen had converted to Islam and became subsequently radicalised. He has been known to the Norwegian police since 2017 and was described by a close friend as a "ticking bomb". Furthermore, he had several convictions, including a restraining order for death threats against family members. However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster...
the media largely presented him as suffering from mental illness, as he was subsequently handed over to health authorities.

Metallurgist pleads guilty to fraud after falsifying steel-test results for Navy submarines
[FoxNews] Tests were intended to show steel would not fail in submarines' collisions or in certain 'wartime scenarios'.

A metallurgist in Washington state pleaded guilty to fraud Monday after she spent decades faking the results of strength tests on steel that was being used to make U.S. Navy submarines.

Elaine Marie Thomas, 67, of Auburn, Washington, was the director of metallurgy at a foundry in Tacoma that supplied steel castings used by Navy contractors Electric Boat and Newport News Shipbuilding to make submarine hulls.

From 1985 through 2017, Thomas falsified the results of strength and toughness tests for at least 240 productions of steel — about half the steel the foundry produced for the Navy, according to her plea agreement, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Tacoma. The tests were intended to show that the steel would not fail in a collision or in certain "wartime scenarios," the Justice Department said.

There was no allegation that any submarine hulls failed, but authorities said the Navy had incurred increased costs and maintenance to ensure they remain seaworthy. The government did not disclose which subs were affected.

Thomas faces up to 10 years in prison and a $1 million fine when she is sentenced in February. However, the Justice Department said it would recommend a prison term at the low end of whatever the court determines is the standard sentencing range in her case.

In a statement filed in U.S. District Court on her behalf Monday, her attorney, John Carpenter, said Thomas "took shortcuts."

"Ms. Thomas never intended to compromise the integrity of any material and is gratified that the government’s testing does not suggest that the structural integrity of any submarine was in fact compromised," Carpenter wrote. "This offense is unique in that it was neither motivated by greed nor any desire for personal enrichment. She regrets that she failed to follow her moral compass – admitting to false statements is hardly how she envisioned living out her retirement years."

Thomas' conduct came to light in 2017, when a metallurgist being groomed to replace her noticed suspicious test results and alerted their company, Kansas City-based Bradken Inc., which acquired the foundry in 2008.

Bradken fired Thomas and initially disclosed its findings to the Navy, but then wrongfully suggested that the discrepancies were not the result of fraud. That hindered the Navy’s investigation into the scope of the problem as well as its efforts to remediate the risks to its sailors, prosecutors said.

In June 2020, the company agreed to pay $10.9 million in a deferred-prosecution agreement.

When confronted with the doctored results, Thomas told investigators, "Yeah, that looks bad," the Justice Department said. She suggested that in some cases she changed the tests to passing grades because she thought it was "stupid" that the Navy required the tests to be conducted at negative-100 degrees Fahrenheit.

#4  Why -100? Guessing to test brittleness?

Thomas criticized a particular test that was conducted at -100 degrees Fahrenheit (-73 degrees Celsius) on the grounds that it was a "stupid requirement" and a "stupid number" to test because nothing operated at -100F in the water.

"Metal shrinks as it transforms from liquid to solid (known as solidification shrinkage) and undergoes additional thermal contraction as it cools to room temperature. Cast parts are therefore designed with shrinkage allowances to result in parts of the desired dimensions. Cast steel, for example, will shrink about ¼ in. per foot and produce rough-looking castings. Shrinkage allowances are known for various metals and an experienced mold designer will take the shrinkage into account when designing a mold. For more information on casting in general please refer to our article on Types of Casting Processes.

Shrinkage can also cause defects in cast products which can lead to failure, leakage, and so on. Sometimes these defects appear on the surface of the casting and can be detected visually or through dye penetrant or similar non-destructive procedures. Sometimes the defects are internal to the casting and require X-ray inspection or destructive tests to uncover. These defects are collectively known as open- and closed-shrinkage defects."

Donor funding to PA dropped 85% since 2008, World Bank says
[JPost] Like it's a bad thing. Trump and Kushner saw how this worked against peace
Donor funding fell by 38% in the last year, after standing at $488 million in 2020. The Word Bank blamed the sharp decline in 2021 on the lack of donations from Arab countries in the Gulf.
If you want to be friends with Israel, you can’t support the Palestinian Authority or Hamas.
Direct annual donor funding to the Palestinian Authority has dropped by a billion dollars over the last thirteen years, according to a World Bank report issued Tuesday that warned the PA faced a $1.36 billion deficit this year.

The PA’s financial situation "remains fragile due to high public spending and very low external financing," the World Bank wrote in the document that was released in advance of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee meeting in Norway on November 17.

The group of 15 countries and international entities oversee donor funding for the Palestinians, including for humanitarian projects. It is also one of the few forums that bring Palestinians and Israelis together in direct dialogue.

According to the World Bank, direct donor funding to the PA has dropped by 85% in the last 13 years, from $1.2b. in 2008 when it was at an all-time high, to $184 million this year — an all-time low.

Donor funding fell by 38% in the last year, after standing at $488m. in 2020. The World Bank blamed the sharp decline in 2021 on lack of donations from Arab countries in the Gulf, a delay in European Union financial support, and low contributions to the World Bank’s Multi Donor Trust Fund.

Aid resumption to Afghanistan unlikely: World Bank
[KhaamaPress] President of World Bank David Malpass said that it is unlikely for them to resume direct aid to Afghanistan citing challenges in the payment system of the country.
As good an excuse as any to not throw good money after bad.
The World Bank suspended its financial aid to Afghanistan at the end of August this year after the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
took over the entire country.

Speaking at the Center of Strategic and International Institute David Malpass said that there is not the ability to have money actually flow given what the government is doing in Afghanistan.

The Taliban are not only deprived of the foreign aid from World Bank and similar organizations but also of the billions of assets now frozen in the central banks of the United States.

Though the US has lifted sanctions on humanitarian aids to Afghanistan, the Taliban have repeatedly been asking for the release of over $9 billion assets of Afghanistan.

Not only the Taliban and people of Afghanistan but Pakistain, Russia, and China have also demanded the money to be unfrozen as they belong to the people of Afghanistan, not the government.

International aid organizations have also demanded the money to be spent on humanitarian spares through them to prevent the worst humanitarian disaster awaiting the people in Afghanistan.

Russian Kommie deputy facing elk poaching charges
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[RIA Novosti] The Communist Party plans to submit a report on the incident with the deputy Valery Rashkin after November 8, when the regional week ends, Nikolai Ivanov, chairman of the central control and audit commission of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, told RIA Novosti.

"The party is investigating, examining the situation around Valery Fedorovich Rashkin," he said.

The politician added that the party statement on the Rashkin case will be ready after all the deputies return from the regions, after the end of the regional week.

"Now the deputies are in the regions, and the central committee, too, and the control and audit commission. This will be after the 8th ... then, accordingly, we will return to this issue," the parliamentarian added and noted that a report will be drawn up following the results of the proceedings. for the party.

Earlier, the Committee for Hunting and Fisheries of the Saratov Region told RIA Novosti that Rashkin was caught with a dead elk carcass in a car. According to the deputy himself, he found the carcass while walking in the forest, and decided to take it home with him. However, not far from the car, the inspectors found the skin and other parts of the animal.

A criminal case on illegal hunting has been opened on the fact. In the current qualification, the case involves up to two years in prison, but, as the lawyers explained to RIA Novosti, in the future the charge may be toughened, and the sanction will be up to five years.

Police make largest arms dealer bust in Israeli history
[JPost] The arrest follows a year-long covert operation in Israel's Arab sector.

Police officers made the single largest arrest of illegal arms dealers in Israel’s history after a year-long covert operation, the Israel Police announced on Tuesday morning.

The operation resulted in the seizure of 40 rifles, 13 pistols, two machine guns and two explosives linked to a cell phone. A total of 65 suspects from 25 different localities across Israel were arrested, among them a father and his three sons who operated a family arms dealing business.

The raid saw the use of approximately 1,000 police officers, including from the special forces and Border Police.

The operation, coined Operation Ocean, was made possible through the use of an undercover operative who had formerly been a criminal. The operative was recruited by the police in August 2020 and began his assignment in November, police said. The operative himself made 48 different arm purchases, which included 25 AR15-type rifles, one MAG machine gun, seven Kalashnikov-type rifles and 13 high-quality pistols.

"We are fighting a war to protect the daily life of all citizens of this country," OC Israel Police Northern District Assistant-Chief Shimon Lavi said in a statement on Monday morning, soon after the operation was revealed. "It is a war against the intrusion of criminal elements who try and succeed in getting their hands on public funds. It is a war against the extortion of business owners."

Five terrorists detained in Indonesia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] Indonesian police have detained five suspected terrorist group members in East Java, Indonesian law enforcement spokesman Ahmad Ramadan said during a news conference.

The detentions reportedly took place in several areas of the province. The detainees are suspected of smuggling weapons, training militants for a terrorist organization, as well as links with Islamists. During the searches, the police seized some donations that could have been used to fund the militants.

It is noted that the investigation into this case is ongoing. The terrorist group is suspected of a series of bombings in Indonesia. In particular, it is alleged that Islamists were involved in the bombings of two nightclubs in Bali, which killed 202 people.
That’d be Al Qaeda-linked Jemaah Islamiyah (JI), Abu Bakar Bashir‘s old outfit. Then in 2014, as leader of Jemaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD), he pledged allegiance to ISIS, so it could be that the five are JAD/ISIS rather than JI/Al Qaeda. Perhaps another source will have that information at some point.

Awful. Really Awful News.

Syria Shrapnel Hurts Lebanese Woman, Damages Homes during Israeli Raid
[AnNahar] Parts from Syrian anti-aircraft missiles fell Monday night in the northeastern Lebanese village of Sahlat al-Maa near the Syrian border, lightly wounding a woman and damaging several homes, the National News Agency said.

Syria's military said the anti-aircraft missiles were used to shoot down missiles fired by Israeli warplanes while flying over neighboring Lebanon Hezbollahstan
...In 2020 Hezbollah blew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate facility exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that. And it ain't never coming to trial...
Israel carried out Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on central and western Syrian provinces, wounding two soldiers and causing material damage.

Syrian air defenses shot down most of the missiles, the Syrian military said.

The strikes came amid an increase in reported attacks by Israel on Syria in recent weeks.

Israel has staged hundreds of strikes on Iran-linked military targets in Syria over the years but rarely acknowledges or discusses such operations.

Israel has acknowledged, however, that it is targeting bases of Iran-allied groups, such as Hizbullah
...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory...
Israel says an Iranian presence on its northern frontier is a red line, and it has repeatedly struck what it has described as Iran-linked facilities and weapons convoys destined for Hizbullah.

Group of Brooklyn Jews reportedly visit Damascus with support of Syrian regime
Truly we live in an age of miracles.
[IsraelTimes] A group of Jews from Brooklyn recently visited the Syrian capital Damascus with the support of the Assad regime, the Kan public broadcaster reports.

The 12 Jewish New Yorkers are natives of Syria who left the country decades ago, according to the report.

One group member claims the visit was partially to receive dental treatment because it is far cheaper in Syria than the US.

The visitors reportedly met privately with a handful of Jews who still live in Damascus and received a request to meet with senior government officials, although that meeting did not materialize.

The New Yorkers were welcomed by the city residents.

"Everyone understood from our language that we were Syrian Jews, everyone remembered us," one visitor tells Kan.

"We went to shops in every place. They got to know us and said to us, ’Welcome, this is your country, why aren’t you coming back? Look what happened to the country, please come back.’"

Two hoards were found during excavations in the central square of Derbent
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] A large number of coins in the form of two treasures were found by archaeologists following the workers who were improving the city square in Derbent and stumbled upon a complex of the 11th-12th centuries.

"During the excavation of the archaeological complex of the XI-XII centuries, copper coins were found in the central square of the city of Derbent. The complex itself was discovered in the course of a comprehensive improvement of the city square," the press service of the Derbent administration reported.

Two hoards with a large number of coins were located in one of the investigated rooms. One hoard was a collection of coins, while in the second they were scattered across the floor. The coins will be exhibited in the Derbent Historical, Architectural and Archaeological Museum-Reserve, the press service of the mayor's office said.

"In Derbent, it is a rather unique case that such a number of coins were left in a dwelling," Interfax quotes Kydyrali Shaushev, a researcher at the Scientific and Production Center for Tourism and Local History, Kydyrali Shaushev.

The "Caucasian Knot" wrote earlier that in October scientists from the Novosibirsk Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences found tools and objects of the Early and Middle Paleolithic era in the Derbent region of Dagestan

White Brits are more likely to die within a year from brain cancer than any other ethnic group, according to new study
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Study found white Brits more likely to die in a year from brain cancer than other ethnic groups

  • King's College London researchers conducted the study on 24,319 people

  • Patients from three other ethnic groups had decreased risk of death compared to white Brits
While the results of the study show an undeniable link between ethnicity and survival rates, there are other factors to consider that may play a role in such notable death rates.

Ms Wanis explained: 'It is probably too early to speculate on what may lie behind these differences, but a number of factors may be involved.

'These include how early people ask their doctors about symptoms, how early in the disease a diagnosis is made, better reporting, lifestyle and cultural factors, deprivation, tumour characteristics and behaviour, and treatment options.'

Ms Wanis is now in discussion with her colleagues about how they can investigate these factors in more detail, including how they can incorporate data from patient representatives to explore areas like the accuracy of death registration for patients in ethnic minority groups compared to others.

Egyptian FM: Abraham Accords good for peace
[JPost] Speaking about Egypt’s role, Shoukry said that his country has tried to fill that gap through collaborations with the US and the EU.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said on Tuesday that Egypt has welcomed the Abraham Accords as a positive development, "one that should be encouraging of Israel to proceed to engage in peace negotiations."

Shoukry spoke with Ambassador James Jeffrey at the Wilson Center as part of his visit to Washington.

"The potential of regional integration, the disappearance of the perceived threat, is, I’m sure, reinforcing to the approach toward resolving the Palestinian Israeli conflict, definitively and finally," he said.

"Egypt led the way, more than 40 years ago and creating peace opened the door for Jordan and, subsequently, unfortunately much later, came the Abraham Accords, which is again in the same line," Shoukry continued. "We believe that dispelling the ideas of a potential threat is the way forward to achieve comprehensive peace across the region, and we hope that it will have that impact, but we recognize and have recognized over the last two years that there is a lack of engagement on both of the Israeli and the Palestinian side."

Speaking about Egypt’s role, Shoukry said his country has tried to fill that gap through collaborations with the United States and the European Union.

Three killed in suspected Turkish drone attack in Qamishli: sources
[Rudaw] Three people were killed after a car was hit by a suspected Ottoman Turkish drone in Qamishli, northeast Syria (Rojava) on Tuesday, according to sources.

Hawar News Agency (ANHA), a news outlet affiliated to the Kurdish administration in Rojava, reported that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
targeted a vehicle in the al-Hilaliye district in Qamishli. ANHA had initially reported that it was a car explosion.

Three people who were on board were killed in the attack, but it is not clear if they were civilians, a local source told Rudaw English, adding that the armored vehicle belonged to a commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Siyamend Ali, head of media for the People’s Protection Units (YPG), said in a tweet that "three people were martyred as a result of a drone attack against a vehicle in al-Hilaliya neighborhood in Qamishli by the Ottoman Turkish invading state today."

Local security forces (Asayish) said in a statement on Tuesday that three "civilians" were killed in the "Ottoman Turkish drone attack," identifying them as Yusef Gilo, Mazloum Gilo and Mohammed Gilo.

Rudaw has learnt that Mazloum Gilo is the brother of an SDF commander who was not on board when the armored vehicle was targeted. The other two are close relatives of the brothers.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said the vehicle was most likely a military one.

Ankara has neither confirmed nor denied its role in the incident.

Turkey often targets Kurdish YPG in Rojava with drones and artillery. The YPG makes up the majority of US-allied SDF in the region and several members of both forces have been killed in recent months as a result.

Three members of the SDF were killed in a Ottoman Turkish drone attack in Kobane in late October.

A little more about the Cyprus murder plot
Follow up to this report from two days ago. Only new information.
[AnNahar] Cypriot police have formally charged an Azeri man
...Orkhan Asadov, who claims to merely be the expensive muscle for an anonymous Muslim loan shark named Mohammed with a preference for Israeli borrowers, despite the Glock handgun and silencer in his car, the Russian passport, and the Hezbollah photos on his phone. His henchmen were four Pakistani food delivery drivers, one of whom is linked to an Iran-backed Shiite Pakistani paramilitary in Syria, and a Cypriot of Lebanese descent ...
on suspicion that he planned to carry out the contract killings of Israelis living in Cyprus, a law enforcement official said on Tuesday.

The official said that the 38-year-old suspect will go on trial next month on eight charges including conspiracy to commit murder, belonging to a criminal enterprise and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. The suspect also faces a terrorism-related charge.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to release details about the case, said the Azeri's arrest last month during which a pistol was found in his possession came in the 'nick of time' as police believe he was about to carry out the killings.

Police had acted on a tip-off about the suspect's activities from a "foreign agency," the official said.

At least two pistols seized by police have been linked to the Azeri man. One of the weapons was handed over to police by the Lebanese suspect.

The Azeri man had been living on both sides of Cyprus' ethnic divide and would often shuttle between the breakaway Ottoman Turkish Cypriot north and the internationally recognized Greek Cypriot south, the official said.

Authorities have kept court proceedings under wraps, barring journalists from attending and releasing no information about the case. The trials of all six suspects will be held behind closed doors.

Satellite signals suggest oil tanker seized by Iran freed
[IsraelTimes] Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
has not acknowledged releasing the Vietnamese-flagged vessel, which it captured on October 24; Ship suspected of trying to transfer sanctioned Iranian crude oil to Asia

Satellite tracking data and other signals on Wednesday suggested a Vietnamese oil tanker earlier seized by Iran had been freed by the Islamic Theocratic Republic, ending the latest maritime confrontation involving Tehran amid stalled negotiations over its tattered nuclear deal with world powers.

The Sothys left a position off Iran’s Bandar Abbas port and had reached international waters in the nearby Gulf of Oman early Wednesday, the data analyzed by The News Agency that Dare Not be Named from MarineTraffic.com showed. The vessel appeared anchored there, but there was no information about its crew.

Iran did not acknowledge releasing the vessel and its mission to the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Vietnamese officials could not be reached for comment, though its officials earlier acknowledged trying to obtain more information about the seizure from Iran.

The US Navy’s Mideast-based 5th Fleet did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Iran’s powerful paramilitary Revolutionary Guard troops on Oct. 24 took control of the MV Sothys, a vessel that analysts suspect of trying to transfer sanctioned Iranian crude oil to Asia. US forces had monitored the seizure but ultimately didn’t take action as the vessel sailed into Iranian waters.

Iran later celebrated its capture of the vessel in dramatic footage aired on state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
, the day before the 42nd anniversary of the 1979 seizure of the US Embassy in Tehran.

The Sothys had been on the radar of United Against a Nuclear Iran, a New York-based advocacy group long suspicious of the Islamic Theocratic Republic. In a letter dated Oct. 11 addressed to the Vietnam Maritime Administration, the group said its analysis of satellite photos showed the Sothys received a ship-to-ship transfer of oil in June from an oil tanker called the Oman Pride.

The USTreasury identified the Oman Pride in August as being used to transport Iranian oil as part of a smuggling scheme to enrich the Guard’s expeditionary Quds Force. That Iranian oil ends up being sold into East Asia, the Treasury alleged, without identifying a specific country.

Iran’s seizure of the Sothys would be the latest in a string of hijackings and explosions to roil the Gulf of Oman, which sits near the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf through which a fifth of all traded oil passes.

The US Navy blamed Iran for a series of limpet mine attacks on vessels that damaged tankers in 2019, as well as for a fatal drone attack on an Israeli-linked oil tanker that killed two European crew members earlier this year. Just a few months ago, Iranian hijackers stormed and briefly captured a Panama-flagged asphalt tanker off the United Arab Emirates.

Tehran denies carrying out the attacks, but a wider shadow war between Iran and the West has played out in the region’s volatile waters since then-President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
withdrew the US from Iran’s nuclear deal in 2018 and imposed crushing sanctions on the country.

Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe on Hannity about FBI raid: ‘Process is the punishment’
[YouTube] Follow up to the FBI raids on Project Veritas reporters after PV turned Ashley Biden’s misplaced diary in to the authorities.

James O’Keefe: “I woke up to a pre-dawn raid -- banging on my door. I went to the door to answer the door and there were 10 FBI agents with a battering ram, white blinding lights. They turned me around, handcuffed me and threw me against the hallway. I was partially clothed in front of my neighbors. They confiscated my phone. They raided my apartment…So, I've heard the phrase, ‘The process is the punishment.’ I didn't really understand what that meant until this weekend. And Sean, I wouldn't wish this on any journalist.”

James O’Keefe: “These are about certain principles that are so fundamental. Our First Amendment in this country. I'm calling upon all journalists to take a stand against this. A source comes to us with information. I don't even decide to publish it. If they can do this to me, if they can do this to this journalist and raid my home and take my reporter notes, they'll do it to any journalist. This is about something very fundamental in this country. I don't know what direction this country is going in, but journalists everywhere have to rise up because we broke no laws here. They could do it to me. They'll do it to anybody.”

#11  Was this message from The Big Guy recorded in the little girl's diary?

Tiptoe, thru the window, by the window
That is where I'll be
Come tiptoe thru the tulips with me

Oh tiptoe, from the garden
By the shadow, of the willow tree
And tiptoe, thru the tulips, with me.

Knee deep, in flowers we'll stray
We'll keep the showers away
If I kiss you, in the garden, in the moonlight
Will you pardon me
And tiptoe, thru the tulips with me

Still, it is a very strange item for an adult to have, which a thief would have to know what it is and is it worth it considering there may not be anything worth exposing which, considering recent behavior, a fake truthy diary was created by the FBI to try and sell to PV, in order to trap PV.

Afghanistan
Taliban to West: Release frozen funds, or be flooded with wave of migrants
[JustTheNews] Millions of Afghans could face starvation this winter, according to director of U.N.'s World Food Program.

With Afghanistan facing a humanitarian crisis this winter in the wake of the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from the country, Taliban
...Arabic for students...
officials are warning — or threatening — that unless Western governments and financial institutions release frozen foreign reserves and aid funds, the West could be flooded with a tide of Afghan migrants colonists.

Roughly $430 million is being held at the German Commerzbank and $94 million in the Bundesbank, Germany's central bank. Another $660 million is being held by the Bank for International Settlements, a conglomerate of worldwide central banks located in Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...
The bulk of the contested funds, roughly $9.5 billion held by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, is frozen by the U.S. Treasury Department and is unlikely to be released any time soon.

In 2020, Afghan reserves including gold and U.S. dollars held in U.S. and European banks totaled $9.6 billion, according to the World Bank.

"Total reserves comprise holdings of monetary gold, special drawing rights, reserves of IMF members held by the IMF, and holdings of foreign exchange under the control of monetary authorities," the World Bank explains.

Since the Taliban takeover, the World Bank has withheld financial aid. The International Monetary Fund has also withheld drawing rights to $347 million.

The IMF is "guided by the views of the international community," the fund said in August. "There is currently a lack of clarity within the international community regarding recognition of a government in Afghanistan, as a consequence of which the country cannot access the Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) or other IMF resources."

At the end of August, Taliban leaders attempted to access its central bank's reserves, only to learn that they couldn't access them, the Financial Times reported.

"The money belongs to the Afghan nation," Afghanistan's Finance Ministry spokesperson Ahmad Wali Haqmal told Rooters. "Just give us our own money. Freezing this money is unethical and is against all international laws and values."

, the "situation is desperate, and the amount of cash is dwindling," Afghan Central Bank board member Shah Mehrabi told Rooters.

Delegation Led by Acting Minister Muttaqi to Visit Pakistan
Ensuring that Pakistan’s generals and senior politicians will have the Afghan hinterland sanctuary that they schemed so hard to get against a future successful Indian military invasion.
[ToloNews] Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi will lead a delegation heading to Pakistain on Wednesday, the foreign ministry said today.

This is the first time since the collapse of the former government that a delegation of the Islamic Emirate is officially visiting Islamabad.

The Foreign Ministry front man Abdul Qahar Balkhi said ministers and working groups from the ministries of finance and trade will be in the delegation.

"A senior delegation led by FM Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi will travel to Pakistain on Nov 10. Delegation will discuss enhancing ties, economy, transit, refugees and expanding facilities for movement of people, and will include Ministers and working groups from Finance and Trade Ministries," he said in a tweet.

Anaamullah Samangani, deputy front man of the Islamic Emirate, said the visit is being made following a visit to Kabul by Pak Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi
...a Pak political shape-changer. He is undistinguished except for his habit of periodically needing to have his lips reattached...
last month.

According to Samangani, Muttaqi will met with senior Pak officials on a number of issues.

"In this visit, talks will be held with different Pak officials on expanding ties between the two countries, economic and transit and easing people's travel in crossings between the two countries," he said.

Meanwhile,

According to Kabulov, Russia, the United States and Pakistain will attend and no one has been invited from Kabul to the meeting.

The last Troika meeting was held in Moscow in October during which delegates from Russia, Afghanistan and Pakistain attended while the United States did not.

Biden admin sending court docs to tens of thousands of migrants released into US
[FoxNews] The Biden administration is launching an effort to send court documents to tens of thousands of immigrants who crossed the border illegally and who were released into the United States as authorities struggled to cope with the enormous influx of migrants hitting the border each month.
Each one sealed with a kiss? How do they know where to send the things?
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokesperson confirmed to Fox News that ICE is sending charging documents to migrants who were either paroled or released under prosecutorial discretion by Customs and Border Protection (CBP.)

The move was first reported by CBS News, which reported that approximately 78,000 migrants will be sent notices to appear in court.

Migrants who are released into the interior are typically given an NTA, which directs them to show up at an immigration court to begin their proceedings at a specific date. However, the timely process was abandoned in many cases as Border Patrol faced record high migrant encounters.

As a result, they began processing migrants into the interior with Notices to Report, which tell migrants to check in with a local ICE facility within 60 days, and does not formally enroll them in immigration proceedings.

The Associated Press reported that as of Sept. 10,, CBP had released 107,817 without formal notices to appear in court. Of those, 29,863, or 28%, did not report to ICE in the time period.

Additionally, the administration has been using parole powers to release more than 30,000 migrants into the U.S. Federal law says parole authority is to be used on a case-by-case basis for "urgent humanitarian purposes" and "significant public benefit." Typically only a handful of parole cases are granted by officials, but the Biden administration has been using it more broadly.

The documents being sent to those in question will direct them to their local ICE field office and have their case reviewed, as well as have their fingerprints and photographs taken. They will also be given a court date to comply with, and if they do not it could open them up to deportation.

"Action will be taken against those that do not appear consistent with the law and Department priorities. By mailing out these charging documents, ICE is initiating removal proceedings in a timely way," the spokesperson said.

ICE has communicated to released migrants via mail for decades, and says that it will issue other charging documents in person as appropriate.

The push to get legal documents into the hands of those who have quickly been released into the U.S. comes at the same time as the Biden administration has been dramatically reducing the ability of ICE to arrest and deport many of those in the country illegally.

In September, the administration formalized February guidance that limits agents to targeting three categories of illegal immigrant -- recent border crossers, national security threats and aggravated felons., Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has ended worksite enforcement raids, and last month issued a list of "protected areas" where agents are not allowed to conduct enforcement operations -- including schools, medical facilities, recreation centers, rallies and COVID-19 vaccination areas.

....Would that it could be so. If we defaulted on our debt to China, the shockwaves would send the entire planet into recession - or worse. And then we'd have to face the reality that without our debt to keep the Chinese even remotely honest, they would feel that they had nothing to lose.

#6  China is awash in trillions in bad loans. They have been papering it over with foreign currency and investors. But it can't go on forever especially with economies still shaky with the Coof running through them and the shutdowns.

What can't go on forever won't and it looks like the end game is coming. While China will be hurt, especially with the food shortage from the floods and factory shutdowns, the investor nations will be hurt the most as their economies tank into depression. They rely too much on raw and manufactured goods from China and the marketplaces, along with bond markets will be ruined.

It will be very, very interesting times.
