Three Soldiers Killed, Three Injured in Somaliland Mine Explosion
[ShabelleMedia] A roadside mine explosion in Somalia’s Dayniile district overnight claimed the lives of at least three soldiers and left three others maimed, according to local sources.

The incident took place as government forces inspected the aftermath of the blast.

The target of the attack was identified as the vehicle of Abdi Bile, being driven by soldiers from the 77th brigade who were engaged in training exercises at a local camp. The bomb, strategically placed, detonated when the vehicle passed by.

While no group has officially grabbed credit for the attack, suspicion falls on al-Shabaab
... the personification of Somali state failure...
, an Islamist bully boy group known for orchestrating such incidents.

This attack marks a return to violence in the capital area, which had recently seen a period of reduced explosive incidents.

Somali security forces have been actively conducting operations in the region, attempting to stabilize the area and prevent further attacks by krazed killers.

Two Al-Shabab Suspects Arrested for Mogadishu Businessmen Killings, Third Still Sought
[ShabelleMedia] The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) said it has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the murder of three businessmen in Mogadishu’s Darusalam neighborhood last month.

Following a meticulous operation, NISA confirmed the arrest of two individuals suspected of being operatives for the al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
, who are believed to have orchestrated the deadly attack on October 28, 2024.

The arrests were announced during a press briefing by NISA, where officials detailed how intelligence and community cooperation led to the apprehension. The suspects, Ali Hilowle Ibrahim and Ahmed Samatar were captured in a joint operation involving various security forces in the capital.

NISA’s statement also revealed that a manhunt is currently underway for a third suspect involved in the killings, indicating that the agency has not let up in its efforts to dismantle terrorist networks. "Our forces are diligently working to ensure the apprehension of all individuals linked to this heinous act," stated a NISA statement.

Jaffa light rail attacker to be charged with murder, terror acts
[IsraelTimes] Second Palestinian terrorist was shot to death at scene of Oct. 1 attack in which 7 were killed; 3 West Bank residents previously indicted for aiding the terrorists

An indictment is set to be filed against one of the two Paleostinian men suspected of perpetrating a Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
terror attack in Jaffa on October 1 that left seven people dead and 16 maimed, Israel Police and the Shin Ben security agency announced on Thursday.

According to the joint statement, the State Attorney’s Office will charge Ahmed Himouni, 25, from Hebron in the West Bank, with acts of terrorism and murder.

During the attack, the two terrorists, one armed with a rifle and the other with a knife, attacked civilians on the Tel Aviv light rail, then got off and continued their rampage on foot along Jerusalem Street in Jaffa.

The second attacker, Mohammad Mesek, 19, also from Hebron, was killed at the scene by a municipal security officer and armed civilians who shot the two terrorists. Himouni was maimed.

The owner of a taxi company and two taxi drivers were indicted earlier this month for driving the two into Israel.

The three indicted individuals were accused of driving the terrorists, whom they knew didn’t have entry permits into Israel, to Tel Aviv. Those indictments were on charges of causing death by negligence and causing death by recklessness.

The investigation found that the gunnies had been transported from Hebron to Bethlehem and then to East Jerusalem by a network of Paleostinian drivers, according to the Ynet news site, some of whom were charged earlier this month.

Ynet added that the gun used in the rampage was purchased in Hebron with the intention of carrying out attacks in Israel.

According to the earlier indictment, the gunnies had originally planned to carry out their attack at a crowded venue, such as a sports stadium. While passing by the Bloomfield stadium, one of the gunnies asked the driver if there was a game on that evening, ostensibly to see if he could carry out a mass terror attack at the venue. There was no game being played that night.

Before carrying out the attack, the gunnies entered Jaffa’s al-Nuzha Mosque, stashed their bags in the mosque’s bathroom, and warned worshipers not to leave.

Ynet reported on Thursday that new footage mentioned in the indictment showed the two leaving the mosque, throwing ammunition over the fence, and exiting to the street in search of victims.

In another piece of footage, the gunnies could reportedly be seen running toward the light rail, where they boarded a train and attacked passengers, then getting off and continuing to shoot and stab people on the street in Jaffa.

The seven civilians murdered in the attack were Victor Shimshon Green, 33; Revital Bronstein, 24; Shahar Goldman, 30; Inbar Segev Vigder, 33; Nadia Sokolenco, 40; Ilia Nozadze, 42, a Georgian citizen; and Jonas Chrosis, 26, a Greek citizen.

Soros-Backed Dark Money Giant Bankrolled the Fiscal Sponsor of US-Designated Terror Financier Samidoun, Tax Forms Show
[FreeBeacon] Tides Foundation’s donors include George Soros and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund

The Tides Foundation, a left-wing dark money giant backed by George Soros
...either Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Auric Goldfinger come true...
and other progressive billionaires, bankrolled the fiscal sponsor of the Samidoun Paleostinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, an anti-Semitic group sanctioned in the United States for providing financial support to terrorists, according to newly released tax forms.

The foundation reported in its latest Form 990 tax return that it granted $286,000 to the Alliance for Global Justice in 2023, a group best known for serving as the fiscal sponsor of Samidoun. The Treasury Department in October sanctioned Samidoun as a "sham charity" that provided material support to a Paleostinian terrorist organization that participated in the Oct. 7 Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
terrorist rampage in Israel. Canada levied its own sanctions against Samidoun as well in October, labeling the group a "terrorist entity" under its criminal code.

Founded in 1998, the Alliance for Global Justice let Samidoun borrow its charitable tax privileges to operate and raise funds in the United States without obtaining its own organizational credentials. In other words, the Alliance for Global Justice and Samidoun are legally indistinguishable. It’s unclear if the group continued to serve as Samidoun’s fiscal sponsor after the Treasury Department sanctioned the terrorism financier in October.

The Tides Foundation said the purpose of its grant to the Alliance for Global Justice in 2023 was to support a "sustainable environment." It’s unclear if the Tides grant went to support Samidoun or one of the several dozen other fiscally sponsored organizations operating under the Alliance for Global Justice’s tax ID.

The Treasury Department in October described Samidoun as a "sham charity that serves as an international fundraiser for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine (PFLP) terrorist organization." The PFLP cut its teeth in the late 1960s by hijacking and opening fire on commercial airplanes, and later participated in the Oct. 7 attacks in Israel. It leverages Samidoun as a front organization in both Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and North America to bankroll its terrorist activities, the Treasury Department said in October. Samidoun is also banned in Germany for its overt support of Hamas terrorism.

Samidoun’s U.S. leaders don’t shy away from their terroristic tendencies. Its leaders, Charlotte Kates and her husband, Khaled Barakat, explicitly endorsed terrorism against Jews during a lecture in March before the anti-Israel student group Columbia University Apartheid Divest, the Washington Free Beacon reported. The Treasury Department sanctioned Barakat in October for his "fundraising and recruitment" efforts for the PFLP’s "terrorist activity against Israel," adding that he has publicly acknowledged Samidoun’s affiliation with the terrorist network.

Tides and the Alliance for Global Justice did not return requests for comment.

Major donors to the Tides network include liberal billionaire financier George Soros, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Ford Foundation. In 2023, the Tides network raked in nearly $800 million, according to its audited financial statements.

The Tides network is hardly the only liberal dark money giant to bankroll the Alliance for Global Justice. In 2021, Tides and the New Venture Fund, the largest branch of the Arabella Advisors dark money behemoth, donated more than $9 million to the Alliance for Global Justice. The Arabella Advisors network donated an additional $1 million to the Alliance for Global Justice in 2022, the Free Beacon reported.

The Arabella Advisors network distanced itself from Samidoun after the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks, telling the Free Beacon that Samidoun "is not and has never been a client of Arabella Advisors" and that it "unequivocally condemn[s] terrorism and violence against civilians."

The Tides network has offered no such denunciation of the terrorism financier.

Four Counties In MI Find Over 26K Votes Days After The Election—Several Seats Flip From Democrat To Republican, Including One MI House Seat
[GatewayPundit] On Friday, the state of Michigan, which arguably has the most untrustworthy Secretary of State in America, added 26,662 unreported votes to its unofficial vote total from four counties after canvassers reportedly discovered the stunning discrepancies.

Kent County, formerly a red county, discovered a whopping 13,795 unreported votes. Kalamazoo County, home to Western MI University and Kalamazoo College, discovered 6,691 previously unreported votes. Calhoun County blamed their discovery of 4,602 votes on a "software glitch." When northern Michigan’s Leelanau County’s results were first revealed, it looked like Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
had won almost every race, which would solidify the belief that Democrats were able to turn the popular vacation community solidly blue. But not so fast—days after the Nov. 5 election, 1,574 unreported votes were discovered that had not added to the original count, flipping almost every race thought to have been won by a Democrat to a Republican candidate.

In Leelanau County, several key races, like the three Leelanau County board of commissioners spots, showed Democrats sweeping Republicans at the polls. The important local drain commissioner, which previously showed the Democrat winning by a landslide, was flipped to give the Republican candidate a resounding victory.

We spoke with the newly elected drain commissioner, Tim O’Non, whose race flipped from Democrat Faith Hoekstra to Republican. Although Leelanau County claims they discovered 1,574 unreported votes, Timothy O’Non somehow picked up 1,736 new votes for a total of 8,736 votes over his Democratic opponent Faith Hoekstra, whose vote count currently sits at 8,093.

On Friday, Tim O’Non spoke with the Leelanau County Clerk, Michelle Crocker, who informed him that instead of losing his race, he was now winning by a small margin. Tim’s wife, Republican Trustee candidate Kerry O’Non, has now also been declared the winner of her race by ten votes, with 452 votes being awarded to Republican Jolyn Arins, whose new vote total is 458.

Michelle Crocker, the Leelanau County Clerk for decades, told Mr. O’Non that the tabulator had a "software glitch" and that the votes that would typically be uploaded into the final count didn’t happen. "She didn’t see any issues with their procedures," Tim O’Non told us, adding that he respects the county clerk who has served for three decades.

Leelanau Enterprise was first to report on the over 1,500 ballots that were not recorded in the initial Nov. 5 general election, stating that the new vote discovery could change the outcome of three Leelanau County board of commissioners races and may show that the Republican Party reclaimed the board majority.

Republican candidates Mark Walter, Will Bunek, and Alan Campbell now appear to be the winners of the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th districts. Previously, their Democrat opponents – Scott Perry, Lois Bahle, and incumbent commissioner Kama Ross – were the unofficial winners of these races.

Moreover, these results suggest some township races may have different outcomes than previously reported. And Faith Hoekstra, the Democrat who appeared to be winning the race for county drain commissioner, is now behind Republican candidate Tim O’Non in the unofficial results, with O’Non at 8,736 votes to Hoekstra’s 8,093 votes.

Leelanau County’s unofficial election results page was updated Friday evening at about 7 p.m. to include over a thousand ballots that were not recorded, according to county Clerk Michelle Crocker. The total number of ballots cast increased from 16,253 to 17,827, which was enough to shift the scales in several elections.

Voters in Centerville Township were asked to choose two trustees from a field of four candidates. The candidates with the most votes initially appeared to be Democrats Paul Winston and Rolf von Walthausen. But with the early in-person votes, the winners are Republicans Jolyn Arens and Kerry O’Non, with 458 votes and 452 votes respectively, according to the unofficial results from Friday.

Leland Township also voted for two trustees. Wednesday morning’s unofficial results showed that Republican Steve Scales and Democrat Kathryn Dawkins received the two most votes. But as of Friday evening, another Republican, Mariann Kirch, surged past Dawkins for the second most votes, with Kirch receiving 799 votes to Dawkins’s 775 votes.

#1  Democrat commissioners in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, voted on Thursday to allow undated and misdated ballots to be counted as defeated Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey gears up for a recount in the race he lost to Republican Senator-elect Dave McCormick.
Bucks County Commissioners Diane Ellis-Marseglia and Robert Harvie moved to allow for undated or misdated ballots to be counted in the crucial swing county, despite a Nov. 1 state supreme court ruling that undated or misdated ballots cannot be counted. The commissioners voted to do so as the Casey-McCormick Senate race heads to a recount, with McCormick leading by about 25,000 votes, according to The Associated Press. More lawfare in the works. The Democrats truly don't care what the law says.

IDF says it hit 30 Hezbollah sites in Beirut, Palestinian terror targets in Damascus
[IsraelTimes] Strike in Syria said to kill 15 people; military issues evacuation orders to residents in targeted parts of Lebanese capital; over 140 rocket launchers destroyed in past week

Israeli warplanes on Thursday hit Hezbollah sites in Beirut after the military issued warnings to residents in targeted areas to evacuate their homes, saying they were located near assets belonging to the terror group. Footage shared by Lebanese media showed one of the strikes in the vicinity of Beirut’s international airport, as a passenger plane was seen taxiing in the background.

Islamic Jihad carried out the October 7 onslaught alongside Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
, and its operatives have also been involved in launching attacks on Israel from Lebanon, alongside Hezbollah.

In Lebanon, the IDF said strikes targeting Hezbollah command centers, weapon depots and other infrastructure were carried out overnight and in the morning.

It said over 30 Hezbollah sites in the Dahiyeh suburb had been targeted over the past two days.

The sites were located "in the heart of a civilian population," the IDF said, accusing the terror group of using innocents as human shields.

The IDF also issued new evacuation orders for Lebanese civilians in the vicinity of two buildings in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Thursday afternoon, ahead of airstrikes against Hezbollah assets. Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language front man, published maps alongside the announcement, which called on civilians to distance themselves at least 500 meters from the sites.

The IDF said Thursday that in the past week, airstrikes had destroyed more than 140 Hezbollah rocket launchers.

Among the launchers hit were some used to fire barrages at northern and central Israel on Wednesday.

Five people were killed in strikes on the towns of Bazourieh and Jumayjimah, Lebanese media reported.

On the ground in south Lebanon, IDF commandos located a multiple-rocket launcher belonging to Hezbollah, the military said. The Commando Brigade, operating under the 91st Division, has been operating in recent days at several "new targets" in southern Lebanon.

The IDF said the commandos found and destroyed a rocket launcher with 32 barrels aimed at Israel, along with other weapons. It also said an airstrike killed two senior commanders in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan unit who were responsible for anti-tank units and operations in the coastal area.

Separately, it said some 200 Hezbollah operatives were killed over the past week during the fighting in southern Lebanon and in airstrikes.

The IDF published footage of some of the strikes.

Additionally, the army said troops from the 188th Brigade operating in southern Lebanon had uncovered major weapons depots belonging to the Radwan unit.

Among the arms discovered were anti-tank weapons, sniper rifles and rocket launchers primed to fire at communities in northern Israel. All the arms were destroyed.

A barrage of five rockets was launched from Lebanon at Haifa on Thursday afternoon. The IDF said most of the projectiles were intercepted, while the rest struck open areas. There were no reports of injuries or major damage.

The previous night, the IDF said it shot down a drone "from the east," usually a reference to Iraq, as it headed toward Israel, hours after downing a UAV over Syrian skies.

In both incidents, the military stressed the drones never entered Israeli airspace and were intercepted over Syria.

Channel 12 reported Thursday that a response from Beirut to a Lebanon ceasefire proposal from the US could come within the next 24 hours.

Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer was in Washington this week to meet with Biden administration officials on the finishing touches to the proposal, including written guarantees that Israel has freedom of action against Hezbollah threats in Lebanon.

Amid intense fighting, The Washington Post reported Wednesday that Israel was pushing ahead with efforts to forge a ceasefire there, as a foreign policy "gift" for the incoming Trump administration.

"There is an understanding that Israel would gift something to Trump ... that in January there will be an understanding about Lebanon," an Israeli official told the Post, speaking on condition of anonymity

Ali Hassan Khalil, the political aide to Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Knobby Berri

...perennial Speaker of the Lebanese parliament, head of the Amal Shiite party aligned with Hezbollah, a not very subtle sock puppet of the Medes and Persians...
, on Wednesday said Lebanese negotiators had reached a preliminary understanding with US envoy Amos Hochstein on a framework for a ceasefire.

In an interview with the broadcaster Al Jazeera on Wednesday evening, Khalil said that this proposal was conveyed to the Israeli side through Hochstein, though Lebanon had yet to receive any response or any suggested amendments from Israel.

He said any potential deal must be firmly based on UN Resolution 1701, adopted in 2006, to help the Lebanese army keep its southern border area with Israel free of weapons or armed personnel other than those of the Lebanese state.

Khalil said Lebanon had no objection to US or French participation in overseeing ceasefire compliance.

Israel has vowed to push Hezbollah away from the border and restore security to its communities near the boundary after over a year of deadly rocket and drone fire from the Iran-backed terror group that forced the evacuation of some 60,000 residents from the north of the country.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Education organization says 5 Gaza schools are run by Hamas men employed by UNRWA
[IsraelTimes] IMPACT-se says refugee agency has ‘deep ties’ to terror groups and has taken no meaningful steps to curb hateful content in curriculum

A Middle East education monitoring group on Thursday accused the UN Palestinian refugee agency of “deep ties” to terror groups, highlighting in a report the hateful curriculum of five UNRWA schools it said are run by senior Hamas members in the Gaza Strip.

The Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-se) said the Palestinian refugee agency “has taken no meaningful steps to address the glorification of violence or antisemitic rhetoric in these schools,” claiming many of its staff members who have participated in Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad activities remain on the payroll.

Citing information released by the Israel Defense Forces, the 71-page report detailed activities at five Gaza schools it said are run by terror group members who are also employed as senior educational officers at UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.

The report lists the Al Zeitoun Boys Preparatory and Elementary Schools, whose principal Mohammad Juma Shuwaideh, is allegedly a squad commander in Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade; the Al-Maghazi Boys Preparatory School B, where both the principal Khaled Said Mustafa Al-Massri and deputy principal Ahmad Samir Mahmoud El Khatib are allegedly squad commanders in Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade; the Al-Mughraqa Boys Elementary School, whose principal, Raed Khaled Abu Mukhadda, is allegedly a Hamas operative in the Deir al-Balah Battalion; Nuseirat Boys Preparatory C School, headed by Mahmoud Faez Sarraj, allegedly a Hamas military wing operative in the Nuseirat Battalion; and Ahmad Abdel Aziz Boys Preparatory School, led by Mahmoud Ahmad Hamdan, allegedly a Hamas member who openly promoted the violent “March of Return” border Gaza border protests.

Among the examples provided by the report was a blackboard in a fifth-grade classroom at the Al-Zeitoun School that featured an image of Dalal Mughrabi, one of the perpetrators of the 1978 Coastal Road Massacre that killed 38 Israelis, along with text describing her as a “fighting leader” and “hero.”

IMPACT-se said that Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, a late extremist Islamic preacher and namesake of Hamas’s military wing, was also venerated by educators as a “martyr” and “hero” in the class.

The watchdog said content at the Al-Maghazi School called a firebombing attack on an Israeli bus a “barbecue party,” and noted materials, such as maps, erasing the Jewish state or referencing Israeli cities as Palestinian.

A question on an exam paper with an UNRWA logo was also found reading, “Liberating the Al-Aqsa Mosque and making sacrifices for it is an obligation for all Muslims.”

The Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem is under the administrative control of the Jordanian Waqf. Many Palestinian terrorists claim to be motivated by concern for Al-Aqsa, and the Hamas terror group called its October 7, 2023, massacre in southern Israel the “Al-aqsa FLood.”

IMPACT-se said that “content promoting hatred of Israel is gratuitously inserted into grammar exercises in a virtual self-evaluation exam prepared by UNRWA’s Gaza education department.”

The report alleged, as it has done in past reports, that contrary to the refugee agency’s claims, the number of members who have participated in terror activities is not “a few isolated cases” and its links to terror are “endemic.”

“This latest IMPACT-se report emphasizes that by promoting violence and demonizing Israel, UNRWA schools in Gaza foster the kind of hatred that fuelled the atrocities of 7 October 2023,” IMPACT-se said in a statement. “These latest revelations about Hamas’s central role in UNRWA schools further reinforce that UNRWA’s educational system is not fit for purpose.”

IMPACT-se’s CEO Marcus Sheff said his organization was “deeply concerned, although not surprised,” by the findings.

“UNRWA has repeatedly failed to act, despite mounting evidence and repeated warnings of the deep influence of terror groups on UNRWA’s schools. This is not just about accountability, but about protecting young minds from an education that fuels hatred and extremism,” Sheff said, according to IMPACT-se’s statement.

The organization, based in the UK and Israel, has since the late 1990s monitored school curricula around the world, with a particular focus on the Middle East.

For years, IMPACT-se has been sounding the alarm over what it says is anti-Israel incitement contained in Palestinian textbooks, including the systematic erasure of Israel’s existence and the glorification of violent jihad and martyrdom.

Israel has long had a combative relationship with UNRWA, which it argues has perpetuated the Palestinian refugee crisis by allowing the status to be passed down through generations. Frustration with UNRWA in Jerusalem has picked up over the past decade as Israel has found the Gaza-ruling Hamas terror group embedded within the agency’s infrastructure.

That anger has peaked since Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, in which a number of UNRWA staffers were found to have participated, including kidnapping and killing Israelis. Israel has alleged that 10 percent of the UN agency’s staff in Gaza have ties to terror groups — a charge the agency says it has no evidence of.

Two weeks ago, the Knesset passed a bill banning UNRWA from operating from Israeli territory and prohibiting Israeli government agencies from working with UNRWA. The bill takes effect in three months.

The UN has said nine UNRWA staff members may have been involved in the attack and had been fired. A Hamas commander in Lebanon killed in September by Israel was found to have had a UNRWA job.

Last month, UNRWA confirmed that a Hamas Nukhba commander killed in an Israeli strike, who led the killing and kidnapping of Israelis from a roadside bomb shelter near Kibbutz Re’im on October 7 last year, had been employed by the agency since July 2022.

In February, the IDF revealed the existence of a subterranean Hamas data center directly beneath UNRWA’s Gaza Strip headquarters. The IDF has also repeatedly targeted Hamas command centers and gunmen hiding out in UNRWA schools.

#1  All UN are terrorism promoting. What you see with UNRWA is the final stage. The intermediate stages are promoting Muslim immigration (future "Palestinian" analogs) into non Muslim countries.

US hands ceasefire proposal to Beirut as IDF officer killed in southern Lebanon
[IsraelTimes] Two soldiers hospitalized after drone impact in Eliakim, as IDF says Hezbollah rocket barrages have recently waned somewhat

An IDF officer was killed and another officer was seriously maimed during fighting in southern Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
on Thursday, the military announced, as a Hezbollah drone maimed two soldiers in northern Israel. The casualties came as Israel continued to pound Hezbollah targets in Lebanon — as well as in Syria — while the sides continued to look toward a possible ceasefire.

Lt. Ivri Dickshtein, 21, from Eli, was killed during an exchange of fire with Hezbollah operatives on Thursday, the army said. Dickshtein, a platoon commander in the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion, had led his platoon in an offensive in a village in southern Lebanon. Amid the operation, the troops entered a building where they encountered at least five Hezbollah gunmen. The platoon commander was killed and another officer was seriously wounded during the gun battle. Another soldier was also moderately hurt in the incident. According to the probe, all five Hezbollah operatives were killed in the exchange.

In Israel, a drone launched from Lebanon impacted near the northern town of Eliakim, some 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the northern border, wounding two soldiers. The drone had set off sirens for more than half an hour along Israel’s northern coast, including in Haifa. The two soldiers were admitted to Rambam Hospital in Haifa with shrapnel wounds. They were in moderate condition, the medical center said.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported that the US ambassador to Lebanon had submitted a draft for a proposed truce in Lebanon to the country’s speaker of parliament, Nabih Berri. US ambassador Lisa Johnson met with Berri, a Hezbollah ally and the typical conduit for diplomacy with the group, on Thursday to submit Washington’s first written proposal in at least several weeks, two senior Lebanese political sources said.

“It is a draft to get observations from the Lebanese side,” one of the sources told Reuters. Neither source could provide details on the contents of the proposal.

On Thursday, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar spoke with his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot, and told him that there was “progress” in attempts to reach a ceasefire in Lebanon that would allow Israelis to return to their homes safely. According to the Foreign Ministry, Sa’ar stressed that implementation of any agreement must be ensured, including keeping Hezbollah away from the border and preventing it from rearming through Syria.

Sa’ar stressed that “the international community has a role to act so that Lebanon will once again belong to the Lebanese people and not to the Iranian regime.”

Also Thursday, Energy Minister Eli Cohen said Israel was closer to reaching a ceasefire agreement than it had been since the start of the war, but that it must retain freedom to act inside Lebanon should any deal be violated. Lebanese officials told Reuters that “direct enforcement” by Israel had not been formally floated to Lebanon, but that it would be rejected by Beirut.

“The idea that Israel can enforce at any time — that is unthinkable,” one of the political sources said.
Israel tried, but it is not yet to be.
UN peacekeeping chief Jean-Pierre Lacroix said that “redeployment of the Lebanese armed forces is an absolutely central element to any durable settlement” in southern Lebanon. Lacroix, who oversees the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, said the UN intends to bolster its peacekeeping mission there to better support the Lebanese army once a truce is agreed to, but will not directly enforce a ceasefire.

“I think that has to be very clear. Implementing the [2006 UN Resolution] 1701 is the responsibility of the parties,” says Lacroix. “UNIFIL has a supportive role, and there is a lot of substance in that supporting role.”

The IDF said Thursday it had seen a decrease in the number of rockets fired by Hezbollah at Israel in the past week, down to under 100 a day on average, compared with 150-200 a day last month and in the months before that. The military believes Hezbollah is struggling to carry out major barrages, as most of its rocket stockpiles have been targeted and dozens of its commanders have been killed. Before the war, the IDF had assessed that Hezbollah would fire thousands of rockets per day in an escalation.

Lebanon’s state media reported Thursday that an Israeli airstrike killed at least nine people and wounded five others in Baalbek city in northeastern Lebanon.

Throughout the day, sporadic airstrikes targeted Beirut’s southern suburbs in a clear uptick in attacks on the area over the past two days, with the IDF issuing evacuation warnings for several locations and buildings in the suburbs Israeli fighter jets struck several Hezbollah weapons depots in the Hezbollah stronghold, following evacuation warnings, the IDF said. The sites were located “in the heart of a civilian population,” the military noted, accusing the terror group of using innocents as human shields.

The United States voiced concern on Thursday over Beirut-area fighting.

“You’ve heard us say time and time again that we do not want to see these kinds of [military] operations in Beirut, especially as it relates to densely populated areas,” said US State Department spokesman Vedant Patel when asked about the strikes.
Everybody has heard. Not that it made any difference.
Israel has struck more than 300 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon in the past week, including 40 in Beirut, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said Thursday evening.

“We are striking… from Dahiyeh to Damascus,” he said in a press conference, referring to the southern suburbs of Beirut as well as the Syrian capital. The targets in Lebanon included weapons depots, commander centers and rocket launchers, according to Hagari.

The IDF spokesman noted: “We have identified that there are rockets and other weapons Hezbollah is launching at Israel that were manufactured in Syria, and were transferred to Hezbollah from Syria.”

Hagari vowed that the IDF will target “all attempts to transfer weapons from Syria to Hezbollah and strike any infrastructure we identify in Syria that is being used to manufacture weapons for Hezbollah.”

On Thursday, Syria’s state-run SANA news agency reported fresh Israeli airstrikes in the al-Qusayr area, near the border with Lebanon.

Also Thursday, UNIFIL said two or three unknown people fired approximately 30 shots in the direction of its peacekeepers on Thursday. The UNIFIL soldiers fired back and moved to safety. No one was hurt in the incident and an investigation was launched, UNIFIL said in a statement. It implied the shooters were Lebanese.

“We remind the Lebanese authorities of their responsibility to ensure the safety and security of peacekeepers who are carrying out sensitive and important work on Lebanese territory,” the UN force added. “We have requested the Lebanese authorities undertake a full and complete investigation of this incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.”

Elon Musk met Iranian UN envoy in bid to defuse tensions under Trump — report
[IsraelTimes]
The second Trump administration is certainly going to be interesting.
Elon Musk, the tech billionaire closely allied with US President-elect Donald Trump
...So far he's been unkillable, and they've tried....
, met Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
in a bid to defuse tensions between Tehran and Washington, The New York Times

...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

reported Thursday.

The newspaper quoted anonymous Iranian sources as describing the meeting between the world’s richest person and Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani as "positive."

The two met for more than an hour at a secret location on Monday, the newspaper said.

Neither the Trump transition team nor Iran’s mission to the United Nations immediately confirmed the encounter, with the Iranian mission saying it had no comment.

The meeting, if confirmed, could offer an early indication that Trump is serious about diplomacy with Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and not choosing the more hawkish approach favored by many conservatives in his Republican Party as well as Israel.

It would also show again the extraordinary influence of Musk, the owner of Tesla and X who has been a near constant presence at Trump’s side, reportedly joining him on telephone calls with world leaders.

Trump in his last term in office tore up a deal on Iran’s nuclear program negotiated under his predecessor Barack Obama
How much damage could he do in four years?... Eight, then...
, instead pursuing a policy of "maximum pressure" that included working to force other nations not to buy Iran’s oil.

But Trump has cast himself as a great dealmaker and during his latest campaign has voiced an openness to diplomacy, despite his avowed support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, one of whose Likud party allies said Wednesday that Israel is expecting the president-elect to take a hard line on Iran.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, considered a relative moderate within the holy manal state, on Thursday told the visiting head of the UN nuclear watchdog that Tehran wanted to clear up doubts about the country’s "peaceful" nuclear program.

Iran’s ambassador also urged Musk in their meeting to seek US sanctions exemptions and conduct business in Tehran, the Times said, citing an Iranian Foreign Ministry official.

Elon advertises for cost-cutting help
Ready to hit the ground running on Day 1.
[IsraelTimes] Along with foreign policy, Trump has put Musk and another wealthy entrepreneur, former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, in charge of a new "Department of Government Efficiency" tasked with overhauling the federal bureaucracy.

The new initiative has raised questions about conflicts of interest given the extensive interactions between Musk’s businesses and the government.

An account for the program has been created on X, formerly Twitter, where it asked applicants to apply through a direct message.

"We need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting," said a post on X, adding that "Elon & Vivek will review the top 1% of applicants."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Hezbollah’s war with Israel cost Lebanon at least $8 billion — World Bank
[IsraelTimes] Report says losses concentrated in commerce, tourism, hospitality and agriculture, in addition to damage to physical structures; final costs expected to be far higher
One imagines that the value of Hezbollah’s tunnels is included under physical structures, and that Lebanon will not bother paying to rebuild them — at least during the first pass.
More than a year of conflict between Hezbollah and Israel have cost Lebanon more than $5 billion in economic losses and damaged nearly 100,000 homes, the World Bank said on Thursday.
Number that will only increase until Hezbollah finally surrenders and negotiates a hudna — or a proper peace treaty, now that Donald Trump will be president.
Since September 23 of this year, Israel has been conducting a ground operation in southern Lebanon to dismantle Hezbollah’s infrastructure and push the terror group back from the Israeli border, after a year of near-daily cross-border attacks that drove some 60,000 residents of northern Israel from their homes.

Hezbollah-led forces began attacking Israeli communities and military posts along the border on October 8, 2023, with the group saying it was doing so in support of Gaza following the October 7, 2023, Hamas terror onslaught in southern Israel.

The World Bank report provided estimates for damage in Lebanon between October 8, 2023, and October 27, 2024, saying “the conflict has caused $5.1 billion in economic losses,” with damage to physical structures amounting to “at least $3.4 billion” on top of that.

The losses are “largely concentrated in the commerce and tourism and hospitality sectors… as well as in the agriculture sector,” the report said.

“The final cost of damage and losses for Lebanon associated with the conflict is expected to significantly exceed those presented in this assessment,” the report said.

The conflict has also “damaged an estimated 99,209 housing units” — mainly in Lebanon’s south near the border with Israel — totaling $2.8 billion in damages, it said.

In late September, Israel dramatically ramped up its bombing across Lebanon, with strikes now regularly hitting Beirut’s southern suburbs, towns in southern Lebanon and parts of the eastern Bekaa Valley, including the border with Syria.

Eighty-one percent of damaged and destroyed houses are located in the Tyre, Nabatieh, Saida, Bint Jbeil and Marjayoun districts.

The World Bank estimates that the conflict cut Lebanon’s real GDP growth for 2024 by at least 6.6%.

Lebanon had already been reeling since 2019 from an intense economic crisis that pushed most of the population into poverty.

“This compounds five years of sustained sharp economic contraction in Lebanon that has exceeded 34 percent of real GDP, losing the equivalent of 15 years of economic growth,” the World Bank said.

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) estimated in October that the war would wipe nine percent off Lebanon’s national wealth as measured by GDP, with the scale of hostilities and economic fallout set to surpass the last war in 2006.

The consequences of the war are also expected to persist for several years, the UNDP said, with Lebanon’s GDP likely to contract by 2.28% in 2025 and 2.43% in 2026.

Inside Israel, the economy is also feeling the impact of a year-long war, first with Hamas in Gaza and then with Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The Central Bureau of Statistics said last month that gross domestic product rose by an annualized 0.3 percent in the second quarter, far below economists’ expectations, which had ranged from 2.3% to 5% for the quarter.

Also in October, the Bank of Israel trimmed its economic growth estimate in 2024 to 0.5% from a prior estimate of 1.5%. In total, direct war costs have ballooned to an estimated NIS 250 billion ($66 billion) since October 7 last year.

Nancy Pelosi Files Campaign Paperwork for 2026 Reelection
[Breitbart] Even a tick knows when to disengage from its victim
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has filed to run for reelection in 2026 even as she is reportedly doing “terrible” after President-elect Donald Trump’s massive victory and Republicans taking the Senate and retaining the House majority.

The 84-year-old career politician, whose district covers San Francisco, has been in the House since 1987 and remains so after winning a 20th term last week.

She made her thoughts clear on the election outcome by saying Democrats might have fared better if President Joe Biden had exited the race sooner and gone before the party turned on him.

Pelosi told the New York Times that “had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race.”

She was speaker of the House twice: from 2007 to 2011 and from 2019 to 2023 and now she plans to stay at the very highest level of government by filing for a 2026 return, according to the Federal Election Commission.

Israel Katz confirms issuing of 7,000 IDF draft notices to haredi recruits
[Jpost] Defense Minister Israel Katz approved the distribution of 7,000 IDF draft notices to haredi (ultra-Orthadox) recruits, Israel's Defense Ministry said on Friday morning.
One understands Bibi’s political calculations to maintain his government, but this is long overdue.
It added that the recruitment notices will be sent out gradually, beginning on Sunday, and based on IDF considerations.

Katz's approval came after the IDF announced on Thursday that it planned on issuing 1,000 new draft notices to eligible haredi men on Sunday as part of the 7,000 that it will issue over the next six to eight weeks.
The real enemy of the ultra-orthodox is not the Left but Religious Zionists.
The Defense Ministry said that the goal of the recruitment is to enable the integration of haredim into the IDF to ease the burden on conscripted soldiers and reservists while preserving the observations of the Torah world.

He also said that the "IDF would do everything possible to provide the haredim with a supportive framework that ensures their ability to fulfill their missions in the military while maintaining their religious lifestyle."

HAREDI DRAFT COMPLEXITY
Katz's approval comes after he replaced former defense minister Yoav Gallant last week. Notably, Gallant had also approved the recruitment of haredi drafts earlier this month.

Katz's decision also follows general opposition from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his haredi coalition partners to changes of policy other than solidifying the existing blanket exemption from military service.

Furthermore, 3,000 draft notices went out in an earlier round this past summer, which resulted in just under 300 new draftees. Due to this low turnout, the IDF more than doubled the number of notices in this round, hoping to reach higher total numbers.
Courtesy of Skidmark, the Times of Israel adds:
Netanyahu’s ultra-Orthodox coalition partners have pushed for the passage of a law regulating military exemptions for yeshiva students and other members of the Haredi community, after the High Court ruled in June that the dispensations, in place for decades, were illegal and violate the principle of equality.

The ultra-Orthodox United Torah Judaism and Shas parties have accused both Gallant and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara of being the main obstacles to a bill enshrining the decades-long Haredi draft exemption.

Following Katz’s decision to forge ahead with issuing the draft orders to Haredim, a senior UTJ official was quoted by Hebrew media as saying: “It turns out it’s not the attorney general or Gallant — the Likud has decided to declare war on the ultra-Orthodox.”

The IDF announced Thursday that it had seen a significant increase in the number of ultra-Orthodox men who have been drafted into the military this year so far. However, it is still far from reaching its conscription goals.

The military has said that it currently requires some 10,000 new soldiers — 75 percent of whom would be combat troops — but can only accommodate the enlistment of an additional 3,000 ultra-Orthodox soldiers this year, due to their special needs. This would be in addition to some 1,800 Haredi soldiers who are already drafted annually.

Over the summer, the IDF Personnel Directorate sent out 3,000 draft orders to Haredi men aged 18-26. Out of those 3,000 men, less than 10% showed up at induction centers.

The dispute over the ultra-Orthodox community serving in the military is one of the most contentious in Israel, with decades of governmental and judicial attempts to settle the issue never achieving a stable resolution. The Haredi religious and political leadership fiercely resists any effort to draft young men.

Many ultra-Orthodox Jews believe that military service is incompatible with their way of life and fear that those who enlist will be secularized.

Israelis who do serve, however, say the decades-long arrangement of mass exemptions unfairly burdens them and their families, a sentiment that has intensified since the October 7, 2023, onslaught and the ensuing war, in which more than 780 soldiers have been killed and some 300,000 citizens have been called up to reserve duty.

Gunman opens fire in front of Israeli consulate in Istanbul (VIDEO)
[RT] A lone gunman discharged his weapon near the Israeli consulate general in Istanbul on Thursday, leading to a tense confrontation with the Turkish police, local media have reported.

The suspect fired a pump-action shotgun in the air five or six times in front of the diplomatic mission, news outlets reported. Officers used an armored vehicle as a shield, footage from the scene shows.

Officers discharged several warning shots, before the armed individual agreed to surrender, according to the media. He was later identified as a 33-year-old man with the initials A.S. He was in possession of a machete, three magazines of various capacities for his firearm, and had four rounds left, the police said.

The suspect said he wanted to protest against the Israeli military operation in Gaza, which is a red-button issue in the predominantly Muslim nation. A.S. has a criminal record with seven convictions, officials said, including a gun violation and battery.
Did they arrest him or give him a medal and a parade?

[Jpost] Anbar was eliminated alongside other Islamic Jihad terrorists who reportedly fired rockets toward Israel and its military troops.

Israel's military killed terrorist Alkaman Abed Elslam Khalil Anbar, who held a significant role in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's Gaza City Brigade, the IDF announced on Friday morning.

According to the IDF, Anbar's position in the Islamic Jihad's Gaza City Brigade placed him responsible for the terror group's fire array that directed rockets toward Israeli territory.

It also noted that Anbar was a significant figure in the group's weapon manufacturing processes.

Anbar's elimination occurred through the intelligence direction of the Israeli Security Agency, the IDF said. He was hit during an Israel Air Force strike.

The IDF also added that Anbar was eliminated alongside other Islamic Jihad terrorists who reportedly fired rockets toward Israel and its military troops.

IDF CONTINUES GAZA STRIP OPERATIONS
The IDF said that since Thursday, it has been continuing its operational activity in several areas of the Gaza Strip, including Jabalya, Beit Lahia, and Rafah.

During these operations, it reportedly directed aerial strikes and located large quantities of weaponry, including explosive devices, machine guns, and additional terrorist equipment.

IDF planning to re-demolish home of terrorist involved in deadly West Bank attack after it was rebuilt
[ToI] That HELOC is never gonna get repaid
In a rare move, the IDF is planning to demolish the home of a Palestinian gunman who killed an Israeli soldier at a checkpoint near Jerusalem last year, after the home was rebuilt following its first demolition earlier this year.

Overnight, IDF troops operated in the West Bank city of Hebron to measure the home of Abdelqader Qawasmeh ahead of its demolition.

Qawasmeh was one of three members of the Hamas terror group who attacked the “tunnels” checkpoint on the West Bank’s Route 60, south of Jerusalem in November 2023, killing Cpl. Avraham Fetena, a Military Police soldier.

The IDF says the home was mapped out “ahead of the demolition of the house after it was rebuilt after its previous demolition.”

As a matter of policy, Israel demolishes the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out deadly terror attacks. Rarely does Israel re-demolish homes that are rebuilt.

Tennessee Official Warns: Venezuelan Gangsters
[ZeroHedge] The American people are expressing joy about President-elect Trump's selection of Tom Homan as the incoming "border czar" to combat Biden-Harris' illegal alien invasion at the open southern border, which has been linked to thousands of armed Venezuela prison gang Tren de Aragua members storming communities nationwide.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director David Rausch is the latest official to warn about TdA members taking over his cities. He said these illegal alien criminals have been spotted in all major cities in Tennessee.

Local media outlet WVLT News quoted Rausch, who warned that TdA members have been involved in human trafficking within the state.

"They are back in all of our major cities. They are running human trafficking operations, and that's where they start," said Rausch.

Rausch told Governor Bill Lee on Tuesday that the foreign prison gang was active across the state in 2023, but after a number of arrests, activity slumped. However, he said, in just the past few months, TdA activity has surged once again.

The TBI director said TdA members were also involved in organized retail theft and drug crimes within the state.

"They will not hesitate to attack their opponents in public or in broad daylight," Rausch warned.

A recently leaked US Army North Division report showed an estimated 5,000 TdA members running amok nationwide.

Tennessee voters shifted toward Trump in last week's presidential election, signaling frustration with the globalist in the White House.
Trump 64% to Harris 34.5%. That’s pretty significant frustration.

DHS inspector general [suddenly] highlights four 'management and performance' challenges facing department
[JustTheNews] The department's responsibilities and missions include protecting the United States' borders, securing cyberspace and infrastructure, and countering terrorism.

The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of the Inspector General on Wednesday released a report that highlighted four major "management and performance" challenges facing the agency.

The 85-page report
…written in white hot passion, a distillation of all that has frustrated them for at least the last four years, if not considerably longer…
found that the four challenges; transparency, accountability, efficiency, and sustainability, reflect vulnerability in the department's "programs, operations, and responsibilities."

The department's responsibilities and missions include protecting American borders, securing cyberspace and infrastructure, and countering terrorism.

"These challenges may hinder its ability to advance essential missions and protect the Nation and its citizens," the inspector general's office wrote.
“We can be useful. Please don’t fire us!”
The report also highlighted the actions the department has already taken to respond to the challenges, as well as the actions it should take or is taking to address the concerns.
“Very, very useful! But even if you do fire us, at least you’ll know all, O Trump transition team.”
"These challenges are not wholly representative of all vulnerabilities confronting the Department," the office added.
“… at least you’ll know all most much…”

Newsom storms DC seeking federal emissions waivers before Trump takes office
[JustTheNews] California’s emissions standards have been adopted by states covering nearly half of America’s new light-duty vehicles and over a quarter of new heavy-duty vehicles, meaning the waivers – or their denial – could have a major impact on national transportation.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is in the nation’s capital seeking federal waivers for eight of California’s emissions policies. Without the Republican-opposed waivers, California could be unable to enforce its multi-state emissions policies that are more strict than the federal standard.

The United States Clean Air Act authorizes California to set and enforce emissions standards more strict than the federal standard, so long as the Environmental Protection Agency grants the state a waiver for each new standard. The first Trump administration attempted to revoke California’s EPA waivers, a move that was held up in court and never definitively ruled on.

“There is no Clean Air Act process for revoking a waiver – which makes sense because governments and industry rely on waivers for years after they are granted to deliver clean vehicles and develop clean air plans,” argued the California Air Resources Board, the state’s emissions regulator, at the time. “This system works, and there is no ‘off switch.’”

California’s emissions standards have been adopted by states covering nearly half of America’s new light-duty vehicles and over a quarter of new heavy-duty vehicles, meaning the waivers – or their denial – could have a major impact on national transportation.

“California’s zero-emissions truck mandate is a draconian policy that will disrupt supply chains, increase prices, and put our economy at risk,” said Congressman Jay Obernolte, R-California, on X. “The EPA should reject this waiver to protect jobs and ensure practical solutions”

Due to California serving as the main port of entry for sea-borne Pacific trade and as a major thoroughfare for trade between the United States and Mexico, California heavy-duty transportation standards would have a significant effect on the entire American supply chain.

States covering 40% of new light-duty vehicles and 26% of new heavy duty vehicles have voluntarily adopted California’s emission standards. Most of the multi-state standards fall under policies that have not yet been granted an EPA waiver, leaving their futures in jeopardy.

The two main multi-state rules are the Advanced Clean Cars II and Advanced Clean Fleets rules, which each require rapid adoption of zero-emissions vehicles for passenger and heavy duty on-road transportation.

Additional California rules under EPA waiver consideration are a ban on gas-powered yard equipment and a requirement that ships in California ports use emissions filters the Coast Guard said it would not enforce due to their propensity to ignite major fires. Other rules include separate phase-outs of diesel-powered trains, diesel-powered refrigeration in cargo trucks, some diesel-powered agricultural and construction equipment, and new heavy duty vehicle standards.

If the Biden administration approves the waivers, Congress still has the authority to review the waivers within 60 legislative days. With Republicans set to retake the Senate and maintain control of the House, Newsom may have already waited too long to aggressively push for the EPA waivers.

How Trump can fix the broken intelligence community
[Washington Examiner] On Jan. 20, President-elect Donald Trump will reenter the White House with a once-in-a-generation mandate to reform our bloated federal bureaucracy. No part of Washington needs reform more urgently than the Intelligence Community (IC). Today, the IC is broken. But if Trump wishes to remake the IC, rendering it more effective while getting it out of partisan politics, there’s a way to do so successfully.

First, Trump should implement payback smartly. Trump, who holds grudges, wants to settle scores with the IC after its mistreatment of him during his last term in office. He’s right to feel as he does. In a manner that was unprecedented in American history, some intelligence bosses colluded with Democrats to smear Trump as a Russian pawn. This culminated in the infamous collaboration between IC bigwigs (mostly retired), Democrats, and tech moguls, to suppress discussion of Hunter Biden’s notorious laptop on the eve of the 2020 election.

Now that he’s back in power, Trump will want to punish the 51 former intelligence officers who suggested that Hunter’s laptop was the product of Russian intelligence service agitprop. What would be an appropriate response? Trump could yank the 51 individuals’ security clearances. That would effectively toss them off the lucrative consulting/contractor gravy train that most retired IC bigwigs enjoy. This would make it clear that IC senior officials — the equivalent of military general officers — cannot play partisan politics while remaining affiliated with the IC in any way. This should apply to everyone in the IC, regardless of party.

But Trump is also inheriting an IC that’s been ruled by Democrats for 12 of the past 16 years. And it shows. President Barack Obama’s cadres, who largely ran the White House under Joe Biden, must be purged. They have "their" people in leadership positions throughout our spy agencies. Everybody in the IC knows who they are. Tell every one of them that their services are no longer required. Start fresh, there are plenty of talented, nonpartisan intelligence officers ready to take their places. All this can be done without Congress. It should be done quickly.

Canadian teenagers arrested for plans to bomb Ottowa Jewish community
[Jpost] Two teenagers from Ottawa plotted to bomb a pro-Israel rally in Canada, before they were arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, according to Global News this week.

The boys were arrested in December and February over a terror plot targeting Ottawa's Jewish community.

“They are alleged to have formed a plan last fall to violently attack Jewish persons in Ottawa, possibly through the detonation of an explosive device at a pro-Israel rally,” Global News stated, citing the Department of Justice.

According to Global News, one of the boys was in possession of acetone, oxidizer and metal ball bearings. These are often used to construct bombs.

Global News quoted Canada's Integrated Terrorism Assessment Center as saying that the plot was linked to ISIS, but was likely "accelerated" following Hamas's massacre of October 7.

“Although radicalization of these individuals reportedly began prior to the October 2023 Hamas attack, at least one of the individuals was reportedly in contact with DAESH overseas and the arrests occurred during a period of DAESH calls to violence in response to the conflict.”

Rand Paul Introduces Healthcare Freedom Legislation
[Breitbart] Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced legislation Thursday aimed at increasing healthcare access and giving Americans more alternatives to Obamacare and employer-sponsored health insurance.

“As Americans’ health care costs continue to rise, my plan puts more power in the people’s hands, getting rid of unnecessary restrictions, expanding access, and trusting Americans to make the decisions that are best for them,” Paul, an ophthalmologist, said in a written statement.

Africa Subsaharan
South Africa Refuses to Help Thousands of Illegal Miners Trapped in Sealed Mine Shaft
[Breitbart] The government of South Africa said on Thursday it will not assist a group of illegal miners who became trapped in a mine shaft with minimal supplies after police sealed off the entrance.

The miners can leave at any time, provided they are ready to be placed under arrest by the police waiting for them outside.

The illegal gold mine has been targeted by a police operation called Vala Umgodi (“Close the Hole,”) which aims to crack down on unlicensed digs by sealing off the mine entrances employed by illegal crews to obtain food, water, and other supplies.

The miners are known as zama zama, a Zulu phrase that means “take a chance.” Many of them are illegal migrants from other countries. Mineral-rich South Africa has a large number of illegal mines, spread across a vast area that is difficult to police. Zama zama miners live underground for weeks or months at a time to escape detection, relying on local suppliers to pass them food, water, cigarettes, tools, and other supplies through small tunnels.

The operation in Stilfontein, a town in South Africa’s North West province, is one of the largest “Close the Hole” exercises to date. According to police reports, roughly a thousand zama zama miners have already emerged from tunnels in the Stilfontein area and been arrested – but almost 4,000 more could be holed up underground.

“We feel that the numbers are being exaggerated. We have deployed maximum resources to this case including our intelligence operatives, who are on the ground who have engaged with all stakeholders. We have managed to estimate the numbers to be between 350 and 400,” police spokeswoman Athlenda Mathe said on Thursday.

Hundreds of people trapped underground is still an alarming situation, especially since no one is quite certain how long the miners have been down there. Some Stilfontein residents are pleading with the authorities to send supplies into the mine, but they have adamantly refused.

“We have taken a decision that no police officer, no soldier or government official will go down to an abandoned mine. There is a high risk of loss of life,” Mathe said, citing reports of “hazardous gasses” underground.

“We have consulted with the mining company and the Department of Mineral Resources, and they are telling us that it is unsafe. It is inhumane to allow people to go down there,” she said.

Mathe added the police have reason to believe the miners could be heavily armed. Hundreds of firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition have been seized in police operations against zama zama miners since December, along with about $275,000 in cash and $1.75 million worth of uncut diamonds.

One reason for the ramped-up “Close the Hole” operation, which began in mid-October, was a rash of reports from locals that the illegal miners were committing robberies and rapes in the area. Gangs of miners have also been known to engage in fierce turf battles.

“As a caring government, we have gone to great lengths to allow these illegal miners to resurface, and it seems as though they are refusing,” Mathe said, accusing the illegal miners of attempting to “blackmail” the government by making their situation appear more dire than it really was.

“We are told by intelligence that they are refusing to resurface. No one is trapped,” she declared.

“We are not sending help to criminals. We are going to smoke them out. They will come out. Criminals are not to be helped. We didn’t send them there,” said Cabinet Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni at a press conference on Wednesday.

The most recent group of five miners to surrender on Wednesday were sick and weak from malnutrition. Busi Thabane, who works for a charity called the Benchmarks Foundation, told the BBC on Thursday that the situation in the Stilfontein mines has become a “humanitarian crisis.”

“It’s not as easy as the police make it seem – some of them are fearing for their lives. For many of them, it’s the only way they know how to put food on the table,” she said of the miners.

“Those people must come out because we have brothers there, we have sons there, the fathers of our kids are there, our children are struggling,” a local woman said. Other residents said at least one dead body has been pulled from a blockaded mine shaft.

The South African Human Rights Commission is threatening to investigate the police for cutting off food and water to the miners, but some South Africans are praising the police operation on social media for taking a tough stance against lawlessness.

“I love this. Finally, our government is not tiptoeing on these serious matters. Decisiveness will help this country,” said an approving social media post quoted by the BBC.

DOD 'Scrambling,' Wiping Evidence of DEI as Trump Readies to Cut Woke Generals
[Breitbart] Bye CQ!
The Pentagon is in “absolute disarray” with “generals scrambling” due to the incoming Trump administration’s plans to fire woke senior military leaders who prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) over combat readiness, according to sources.

One source compared it to a hornet’s nest being kicked over and that “DEI pages are starting to disappear off the main websites.”

“They’re being archived as we speak. They are full-bore focused on cleaning up anything DEI-related,” the source said.

Another source said people are trying to find out if they are on the list to be cut. “They are in panic mode,” the source said.

The scramble to hide evidence comes as President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team has begun gathering names of senior officers who pushed DEI.

One source familiar with the plan told Breitbart News that an executive order has been drafted to create a panel to recommend those senior officers for elimination and that the EO is “definitely” going to Trump’s desk.

“This is for real. This [EO] has made the cut,” the source said, adding that it is possible that it is still being revised and consulted with incoming leaders at the Pentagon.

Indeed, a member of the Trump transition team has already begun reaching out to troop advocates for names, including Army whistleblower retired Green Beret Lt. Col. Pete “Doc” Chambers. Chambers served for 39 years in the Army and retired after he was told not to give his troops informed consent for the COVID vaccine.

Also working on gathering names is another Army whistleblower, retired Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Samuel Shoemate, who was investigated by woke officers for running a whistleblower website and his advocacy for troops who did not want the COVID vaccine, as previously exclusively reported by Breitbart News.

Sources said, however, the EO is focused on DEI — not COVID — and that its purpose is to “reorient the U.S. military away from the woke ideology and priorities that has been foisted upon it” as far back as the Obama administration.

“The purpose of the EO is to restore the military leadership focus on keeping the country safe and when necessary, fighting the country’s wars…not these extraneous factors [such as] “white rage” and gender identity…just this full range of left-wing woke priorities that have impacted recruitment in the military and retention in the military and a person’s prospects of promotion in the military” the source familiar with the plan said.

The source said the people who worked on the EO have “stellar military policy credentials” both on the policy and legal side. “It was people who know what they’re talking about.”

Shoemate, who is soliciting names of senior military officers from his vast network of service members and veterans, said in a phone interview with Breitbart News, “They are interested full speed on DEI.”

“They want to lop off the head of the Marxist snake. And so that’s the primary criteria that I’m trying to focus on,” he said.

Shoemate said he is differentiating between officers who have promoted DEI to the detriment of the force, and those who simply have gone along with it.

“We’re looking for those who have aggressively pursued DEI policies, and then potentially been the worst about retaliation against troops for the COVID mandate and stuff like that.”

Among those names are officers who are listed in the Declaration of Military Accountability, drafted by a mixture of currently serving and former members of the military.

Shoemate said so far, there are more than a dozen names from the Navy alone, and they are still working through the Air Force and the Army.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Charles “CQ” Brown will also be on the list, for his advocacy for DEI.

“Trump’s taking out the chairman. That’s gonna happen,” Shoemate said.

Advance Auto Parts to Close over 700 Stores by Mid-2025
[Breitbart] Advance Auto Parts will close more than 700 locations and four distribution centers by mid-2025 after sales decreased from 2023, company officials said Thursday.

The North Carolina-based auto parts company, which had 4,781 across North America as of October 5, announced in its third quarter report that 523 corporate stores and 204 independent locations are to be shut down.

The stores scheduled to be shuttered account for more than 15 percent of all Advance Auto Parts locations across the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The company’s press release also highlighted “distribution network optimization,” as executives plan to close four distribution centers as well.

Net sales from continuing operations totaled $2.1 billion in the third quarter of FY 2024 — a $100 million decrease from the same quarter in FY 2023.

On November 1, the company sold its automotive parts wholesaler and distributor company Worldpac to global investment firm Carlyle for $1.5 billion.

“We are pleased to have made progress on our strategic actions, including the completion of the sale of Worldpac and a comprehensive operational productivity review of our business,” said Advance Auto Parts president and CEO Shane O’Kelly said in a statement Thursday. “We are charting a clear path forward and introducing a new three-year financial plan, with a focus on executing core retail fundamentals to improve the productivity of all our assets and to create shareholder value.”

Shocking cost of weekly groceries in every state with some Americans spending over $300
[Daily Mail, where Amierca gets its news] The number one issue in exit polls in the election was the economy, and now a map lays bare the burden inflation has put on families across the country.

Visual Capitalist, an online publication that produces data-driven content, used Census Bureau data to map the average amount households spend on a week's worth of groceries in every state.

On average, Americans pay $270 per week on groceries, which adds up to $1,080 per month.

Since August 2020, grocery prices have increased 20 percent, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

This is the steepest inflation that the US has seen since the 1970s.

The COVID-19 pandemic, conflict in the Ukraine and other economy-wide inflationary pressures such as high energy costs have contributed to grocery price increases, according to the USDA.

States where people are paying the most for groceries include Hawaii, Alaska and California. In these states, households spend between $298 and $334 on average during their weekly trip to the market.

Even the those with the lowest weekly grocery bills - Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska - are still spending more than $200 per week, with the average cost ranging from $221 to $235.

Shipping is the primary reason for grocery bills skyrocketing in Alaska and Hawaii - two non-mainland states.

That is because the states do not produces enough food locally to offset import costs, according to Visual Capitalist.

On average, Alaskan households spend $334 per week at the grocery store, and Hawaiians spend $329 per week.

Alaska residents do get a break on taxes, however. The Last Frontier does not have a state-wide sales tax, and individual income and inheritance aren't taxed either.

California is close behind with residents of the Golden State spending roughly $298 for a week of groceries.

There are some surprising states near the top of the list, too.

Despite the fact that the cost of living is relatively low in Mississippi, New Mexico and Arizona, high food prices earned these states spots in the top half of the ranking.

On average, households in Mississippi spend $291 per week on groceries, those in New Mexico spend $286, and those in Arizona spend $272.

Given, US Food companies import or purchase lots of food items in from their and various contracted farms OUTSIDE the US.

Given the US exchange rate histories with those countries, fails to justify the ##% Digit Price increases and Shrinkflation.

What caused it?
Was it US Fuel Prices caused by the Biden Admin to appease the Eco-Greene?

Was it the use of Fertilizers that Liberal Eco-Greene raised hell about and state & Fed's jumped on?

Was it the Farmers being villainized, slap & fined for growing food and meat to feed us?

The strange collection of food processing plant fires
or the collection "accidental processing issues"?

Maybe the Democrat Political Agenda goals, in conflict with even basic supply logic, played a role?.

Some blame Covid. But, it only increased purchases, and allowed these companies to empty the shelves of items and then repackage them in smaller sizes and charge more.

I'm voting GREED.

#2  The consumer (using Yankee dollars) now finds him or herself in direct competition with the consumer using government subsidized food stamps.

If the food stamp recipient recieves $1200. per month in benefits, that precisely what he will spend. Nothing will be returned to the gov't.

The food industry is keenly aware of the dollars available. Demand drives the prices. Much the same with the $65,000. F-150. If sales remain relatively strong, don't expect the price to be greatly discounted.

Woman helps make daring rescue of dozens of horses trapped in California's Mountain Fire
[FoxWeather] When the Mountain Fire erupted in southern California’s Ventura County on Nov. 6, residents had only minutes to flee with their lives and their belongings — whatever they could grab. But dozens of horses remained trapped in the encroaching flames.

Robyn Fisher tells FOX Weather she had to race through smoke and flames to rescue several horses threatened by the fast advancing Mountain Fire that burned in Southern California earlier this month.

When the Mountain Fire erupted in southern California’s Ventura County on Nov. 6, residents had only minutes to flee with their lives and their belongings — whatever they could grab.

But for equestrian communities threatened by the encroaching flames, the situation was far more complicated and help was urgently needed.

Robyn Fisher was one of many who answered the call for help. The equestrian owner and trainer at R Farms raced into the fire zone when she heard several horses were in danger and needed transport to safety.

The first stop was a facility where flames were burning across the street.

"It was a lot more dire than I had anticipated," Fisher told FOX Weather. "Little did I expect it to be as dire and smoky and escalated as it already was. I was quite nervous... I mean, all you could see was orange smoke around us."

She was able to quickly get four horses into her trailer.

"And I thought that I was being smart by going out the driveway in the opposite direction. But it actually was worse," she said. "And I ran into a fireman and I stopped and I said, ‘I can't turn around. What do I do?’"

She said the firefighter told her to stay in the middle of the road and "whatever you do, do not stop. And if you have shavings in the trailer, make sure your windows are closed."

Her assistant, Tony, guided her through the thick smoke that obscured the way out.

"He pulled out his phone and called up the navigation in front of us, and he was telling me when to turn, when to go straight and that kind of stuff because all I was seeing was smoke and feeling the heat," she said. "And I thought that I had made a huge mistake and was actually going to go up in flames."

She said she just did barely escape the flames - a fate not afforded to another horse rescue team just minutes behind her.

"There was another rig following me, and they loaded up four more horses. They actually were not as lucky as me," she said. "They did the same exit that I did and were probably 2 to 3 minutes behind me and their rig caught on fire, and they actually had to unload the horses and run them down the street in hand."

Iran to Open Clinic to Treat Women Who Refuse to Wear Hijab
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] In Iran, women who refuse to wear the hijab will begin to receive psychological assistance. This was announced on November 14 by the head of the Iranian Women and Family Department of the Headquarters for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Mehri Talebi.

"A psychological clinic aimed at preventing the removal of the hijab will open in Tehran for teenagers, young men and women," Al Arabiya TV channel quotes Talebi as saying.

She said the clinic would educate potential patients about the ins and outs of wearing the hijab and provide "scientific and psychological" treatment for the urge to remove the hijab.

At the same time, patients will be in the clinic "on a voluntary basis," the official claims. Thus, Talebi noted, the institution's activities will promote "dignity and modesty."

As reported by Regnum news agency, on November 9, Akha Daryaei, a student at the Islamic Azad University in Tehran who stripped down to her underwear on November 2 in protest against wearing the hijab, was placed in a psychiatric hospital.

Government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said she had been transferred from the police station to a rehabilitation centre, but did not specify what treatment she had been given. Mohajerani said the student was a "problem person" who needed treatment. She was not allowed to return to university and any further decisions could only be made after treatment, she added.

A university spokesman, Amir Mahjob, said the girl had been under intense psychological pressure and suffered from a mental disorder, as established at the police station. According to human rights activists, the Iranian authorities have repeatedly declared women who disagree with the government's ideology to be mentally unstable. There have been cases of forced hospitalization, notes the IranWire publication.

Attempt to enter Kupyansk. Dangerous breakthrough of Russians
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] Russians tried to break into Kupyansk.

On the afternoon of November 13, a column of Russian armored vehicles managed to break through to the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region; Ukrainian military officials say that the force was later destroyed.

On November 13, Russian troops, using several armored vehicles, attempted to enter Kupyansk, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the enemy. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the Ukrainian troops stopped the occupiers' advance on the city, destroyed all armored vehicles and eliminated a significant part of the manpower. "Kupyansk is completely under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the statement said.

THE IMPORTANCE OF KUPYANSK
Kupyansk is an important railway and transport hub in the Kharkiv region. It was occupied at the beginning of the full-scale war, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated it in the fall of 2022.

The city, located on both banks of the Oskol River, became a fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and potentially left the opportunity to prepare offensive operations deep into the Russian-occupied territory of the Luhansk region, primarily in the direction of the cities of Svatovo and Kremennaya.

Therefore, it was especially important for the Russian army to drive the Ukrainians out of Kupyansk and the eastern bank of the Oskol in general in order to secure their captured territories. The Russians began implementing this plan in the fall of 2023.

Since then, Russian offensive operations have continued both near Kupyansk itself and south of the city, where the Russian army managed to reach the Oskol River in October of this year and cut through the Ukrainian bridgehead.

As for the city itself, for a long time the fighting was conducted at a distance of 7-9 km from its eastern outskirts. Russian aviation also destroyed it with daily air strikes.

ATTEMPT TO BREAK THROUGH
On November 13, it became known about the first attempt by the Russian Federation to invade directly into the borders of Kupyansk.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that from 14:30 on Wednesday, Russian troops began trying to break through the Ukrainian defense in the Kupyansk direction. “The enemy’s assault groups attacked the positions of the Ukrainian defenders in four waves. In total, the enemy used about 15 units of equipment. In particular, tanks, combat armored vehicles and the UR-77 mine clearing unit,” the General Staff said in a statement.

Moreover, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, some Russian soldiers were dressed in uniforms of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Such actions violate the laws and rules of warfare and are a war crime, the General Staff notes. Russian official sources have not commented on these statements by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to DeepState, the Russians attacked in two columns that advanced from the Liman Pervy area. That is, the Russian armored groups covered about 9 km to Kupyansk.

The first column consisted of two armored trucks (MT-LB), an infantry fighting vehicle, and a tank. The composition of the second column is unknown, as it attacked Ukrainian positions after dark.

As DeepState writes, one MT-LB was shot down in the forest on the way to Kupyansk, another managed to break through to its eastern outskirts and was destroyed in the Zaoskolye area on Nekrasov Street. About 15 Russian military personnel landed from it, ran away and hid in neighboring houses.

A Russian tank was destroyed on the same street. According to DeepState, some of the Russian military were also found and eliminated. The reinforcements sent by the Russian command were also destroyed, the Ukrainian project claims.

DEFENSE ISSUES
The question arises: how did the Russian column almost unhindered overcome the defensive line and break into the city, which should have been reliably protected from all sides?

DeepState analysts point to the “strange” placement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ combat formations in the forest area north of Kupyansk.

"In recent months, the contact line has become a mystery for all units. The combat formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the enemy were simply scattered throughout the forest, rotations were carried out on both sides, and the war in the forest looked "strange," the Ukrainian project's review says.

DeepState is asking law enforcement agencies to respond to the actions of the brigade command responsible for this section of the front.

Ukrainian military blogger Oleksandr Karpyuk (Serg Marco) believes that the reason for the breakthrough in the Kupyansk direction was the shortage of mining units in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They should have mined the enemy assault groups' approach routes in advance. He also points to the shortage of FPV drone crews that could attack the enemy during the assault.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Why the New White House Won't Help Netanyahu Take the West Bank
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Leonid Tsukanov

[REGNUM] Arguing ahead of evidence. I don’t know which way President Trump will fall on this particular question, but he and Bibi are coordinating their response, whatever it will be.
Newly elected US President Donald Trump has not yet moved into the White House, but his Israeli allies have already mentally tried on the vector of the future policy of the Republican administration to suit their own interests.

In the highest offices of Israel, there is a conviction that Trump's second presidential term will be a continuation of the first, which means that it is possible to continue to act within the framework of the previous logic.

For this reason, the West Bank of the Jordan River (WBJR), where Israel has been engaged in a “creeping expansion” for years, occupying disputed lands with settlers, has been in the spotlight in recent days.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, one of the apologists for settlement control over the ZBRI, does not hide the fact that he sees Trump's presidency as an "important opportunity" to apply Israeli sovereignty to semi-legal settlements. Moreover, he wants to achieve full control over these territories as early as 2025.

However, Trump apparently thinks otherwise.

DISPUTED COAST
The conflict over the status of settlements on the West Bank has been going on since the second half of the 1960s, when the territory came under Israeli control following the Yom Kippur War.

Since 1995, following the signing of the Oslo II Accords between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization, parts of the West Bank have been controlled by the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), which was created as a result of these agreements.

However, this does not prevent the Israelis from actively developing the ZBRI by creating new Israeli settlements, thereby further blurring the status of the disputed territories.

Under the current government, the “settlement expansion” has reached record levels. Since the beginning of 2023, the Israeli government has legalized more than 12,000 buildings in disputed territories, and by the middle of that year, it had agreed on a plan to create new settlements.

Moreover, at least four of them were planned for construction in the ZBRI zones previously abandoned by the Israelis, which violated the long-standing status quo between Tel Aviv and the relatively neutral PNA.

However, the project's progress was hampered by criticism from the United States. Moreover, a number of Israeli public organizations associated with the settlers were even subject to sanctions.

However, with the arrival of Trump, the hawks have hoped to give new impetus to the advancement in the West Bank.

"BEST FRIEND"
The return of the Republicans to the White House was awaited with poorly concealed impatience in Israel. Under the Democrats, the dialogue between Washington and Tel Aviv went into a nosedive, especially after the outbreak of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

For almost a year, the United States tried in vain to impose its vision of a regional settlement on the Israelis, while Israel sought an opportunity to torpedo the inconvenient “deal.”

And although Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to balance publicly between the Democratic and Republican wings until the very end, already during an official visit to Washington in July 2024, the Israeli establishment made a final bet on the "elephant party." Especially since it was the Republicans who provided the lion's share of support for the actions of the Israeli army in the enclave.

Trump was remembered by Netanyahu as “Israel’s best friend,” who did much to strengthen the Jewish state’s regional ambitions. It was he who, in 2017, was among the first to upset the balance of interests between the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.

Trump recognized Jerusalem as the country's capital and supported Israeli claims to the disputed Golan Heights, declaring them part of Israel's territory in 2019. In addition, in 2019, Washington deliberately distanced itself from the topic of Israeli settlements in the ZBRI, calling the issue "an internal matter of Israeli jurisdiction," which made it easier for Tel Aviv to legalize the houses being built.

After all, it was at the instigation and with the energetic participation of Trump that a new stage of Arab-Israeli normalization took place, providing Tel Aviv with the opportunity to do business with the Gulf sheikhs.

PRO-ISRAEL TEAM
Hints of the White House’s imminent “pro-Israel turn” can also be seen in the first appointments to Trump’s team. Most of the high-ranking officials – be it Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio, future National Security Advisor Mike Walz, or the nominee for the post of US Ambassador to the UN Elise Stefanik – either have close ties to the Israeli government or support the political course taken by Tel Aviv.

The candidacy for the post of US Ambassador to Israel is also highly symbolic: it is conservative Mike Huckabee, known for his ardent support of Israel’s “settlement expansion.”

The Israeli leadership also tried to "play to the beat" by appointing former settler leader Yechiel Leiter as ambassador to Washington. However, this appointment did not generate much enthusiasm among Republicans.

OTHER PRIORITIES
Israeli politicians' belief in Trump's readiness to promptly support expansion in the West Bank is based solely on the logic of his previous management decisions, and also partly on his election promises to "more decisively support" Tel Aviv.

Of course, the Israelis will get far more support from the White House than the Democrats. But expansionists are missing the changed regional landscape in which Trump must navigate.

First of all, it is important for the Republican to maintain working contacts with two ardent opponents of Israeli “settlement expansion” – Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Trump expects to use their resources for further settlement of the conflict in Gaza, as well as for soft containment of Chinese economic expansion in the Middle East.

Secondly, Trump is not eager to expose another regional partner, Jordan, to additional risk. With the onset of the Gaza crisis, it has already faced unrest among Palestinians living in the kingdom, and destabilization of the situation in the ZBRI does not bode well for the Jordanians.

Finally, it is not in the interests of the new US administration to give Iran an additional point of pressure on the domestic political situation in Israel, especially since the issue of maintaining a balance of interests in the ZBRI is relevant not only for the PNA, but also for a number of Arab parties from the so-called “Joint Arab List”.

It is quite remarkable that Trump had been signaling his unwillingness to get involved in the West Bank story on the Israeli side long before he was elected president, and upon moving to the White House, he will most likely remain in the same position.

Of course, it cannot be ruled out that the new US president will nevertheless make an exception for his “old friends” and publicly remind them that, from the US position, the situation in the ZBRI is an internal matter for Israel. However, such a public pass will most likely require the Netanyahu government to make concessions to the US in other areas – primarily in matters of completing the operation in Gaza and in Lebanon.

Russian scientists have discovered an unknown tomb near the Pyramid of Cheops
Direct translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] A unique tomb, previously unknown, was discovered in Egypt by scientists from the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences near the famous pyramid complex in Giza. TASS reported this on November 13.

It is specified that the Russian expedition led by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Eleonora Kormysheva discovered a rock tomb in the eastern part of the Giza necropolis, 300 meters from the Pyramid of Cheops. The researchers managed to clear a small hole through which the burial chamber can be seen. Archaeologists are preparing to completely open the entrance to it.

"The tomb dates back to the Old Kingdom, to the reign of the 5th dynasty of Egyptian pharaohs. On the walls there are preserved inscriptions and reliefs depicting the owner of the tomb and his wife at a sacrificial table, as well as their full-length statues carved into the rock," Kormysheva said.

It is specified that a small hole has been cleared, through which the remains of a wooden painted sarcophagus, whole ceramic vessels (usually supplies with which the deceased was supposed to go to the other world were placed in such vessels), as well as other objects, are visible in the burial chamber. Now archaeologists are preparing to completely open the entrance to the burial chamber.

Earlier, Regnum News Agency reported that Egyptian archaeologists discovered a bronze sword of Pharaoh Ramses II during excavations in the province of El-Buheira. Archaeologists also discovered a number of adobe structures, including military barracks, weapons depots and food storage facilities. They were attributed to the era of the New Kingdom, the heyday of ancient Egyptian statehood (around 1550 - 1100 BC).

Boeing cutting 17,000 jobs to ‘adjust its workforce' after labor union strike
[NY Post]The other shoe drops
Boeing said it is issuing layoff notices to employees who are included in the aerospace giant’s broader workforce reduction plan.

The approximately 17,000 employees included in the cuts were notified this week and are expected to leave the company in mid-January, Boeing said.

The cuts, which come after a labor union strike, equate to 10% of its workforce.

“We are adjusting our workforce levels to align with our financial reality and a more focused set of priorities,” Boeing said in a statement to FOX Business.

CEO Kelly Ortberg, who took over in August, told staff in a memo last month that the job cuts would include executives, managers and employees.

“Our business is in a difficult position, and it is hard to overstate the challenges we face together,” Ortberg told staff, saying that the situation “requires tough decisions, and we will have to make structural changes to ensure we can stay competitive and deliver for our customers over the long term.”

The company has about 170,000 employees worldwide, many of them working in manufacturing facilities in South Carolina and Washington state.

The company also announced the end of production of its 767 aircraft in 2027 after it completes the current orders for 29 jets.

Once again union leadership demands cost the rank and file jobs. Remember International Harvestor?

#2  NN2N1,

They don't care. My father turned off the lights at a shipyard where he'd worked for 19 years because the union was demanding a four hour work week and a 2 year contract. The Navy and Coast Guard were willing to commit years of work and construction if they would approve a 4 year contract, but the union president had delusions of Godhood.

They closed the doors in the spring of 83, and the union's first response was to convince the excreable Howard Metzenbaum to introduce a bill forcing the yard to reopen under the union's terms.

When that didn't work, the union convinced itself that it was all a trick, and they kept meeting every week for nearly twenty more years before they gave up.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Huckabee Reveals Whats on the Table for the Paleostinians, And the UN Is Going to Lose Its Ever-Loving Mind
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Israel could have America's backing to annex the West Bank under a Trump administration, according to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who President-elect Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons...
has named to be his ambassador to Israel.

After his selection was announced, Huckabee spoke to Israel's Army Radio about his nomination, according to the Times of Israel.

During the interview, he was asked if the West Bank — land formerly claimed by Jordan that Israel won during the 1967 Six-Day War — could be annexed by Israel.

''Well, of course,'' Huckabee said. ''I won't make the policy. I will carry out the policy of the president.''
Exactly so, Mr. Ambassador.
Citing Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital and his action to move America's embassy to Israel there, Huckabee noted no other president had been as helpful as Trump ''in securing an understanding of the illusory sovereignty of Israel.''

''No one has done more than President Trump, and I fully expect that will continue,'' Huckabee said.
Staking out a negotiating position that shows Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas just how serious his situation is — unlike the current administration, which daily for four years has demonstrated the opposite.
Huckabee would not rule out a role for Israel in rebuilding whatever emerges from the ruins of Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
after the war against Hamas
..always the voice of sweet reason...
ends.

''Well, I haven't had time to process that,'' he said. ''I don't want to make any comments about policy because those won't be mine to make.''

President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body....
has opposed annexing the West Bank and has endorsed the creation of a Paleostinian state at some future date.

Huckabee said, he was ''a frequent visitor to Judea and Samaria,'' using the Biblical term for the West Bank.

''I also very much believe that the people of Israel deserve a secure and safe country, and anything I can do that will help accommodate, that is going to be a great privilege for me,'' he said.

Pro Palestinians in Amsterdam started causing trouble again, 281 arrested
[X]

281 detained at pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel protest for defying Amsterdam ban

[IsraelTimes] Demonstrators chant ‘Amsterdam is saying no to genocide’ and ‘Free Palestine,’ days after Israeli soccer fans in the Dutch city were hunted down by gangs of masked assailants

Dutch police detained 281 anti-Israel, pro-Paleostinian protesters rallying in central Amsterdam on Wednesday in defiance of a ban imposed after violence against Israeli soccer fans last week.

Dozens of demonstrators, some with Paleostinian flags, chanted "Amsterdam is saying no to genocide" and "Free Paleostine."

Police in riot gear encircled the group and they were detained and put on buses.

Dutch authorities said later Thursday they were investigating reports of police violence against the protesters. Online footage seemed to show coppers beating protesters who had already been released after being taken away from the site of the protest.

Violence erupted in the Dutch capital before and after last Thursday’s soccer match between Ajax Amsterdam and Maccabi Tel Aviv, with Israeli fans hunted down and attacked by gangs of masked assailants.

Police with expanded stop-and-search powers in the Dutch capital have detained or removed hundreds of demonstrators since last week’s festivities under emergency measures imposed until Thursday.

"We say: Free Paleostine. Stop killing innocent people. Stop killing the children," said demonstrator Max van den Berg, 32, calling on the Netherlands to halt its support for Israel.

Home Front: Politix
Many Pennsylvanias Now – This Revolution Has Only Just Begun
[AND Magazine] Trump won. He is filling out his Cabinet. For those in the America First movement, this is all very good news. Still, we should not delude ourselves as to the scope of the task ahead not just in Washington, DC but around the country. This has only just begun.

Republicans of all stripes have been very happy to stand on stage next to Donald Trump wearing MAGA hats and talking about "draining the swamp". That does not mean they really believe any of what they said. The swamp remains deep not just in DC but in state capitals around the country. Many of the creatures that inhabit it are Republicans.

Let’s take Pennsylvania, the state that stopped Kamala’s campaign dead in its tracks for example. Harris was defeated by the power of a grassroots movement that has been spreading across the Commonwealth for years and long since transcended traditional political boundaries. This was a true guerilla war in which mass mobilization won the day.

The turnout in rural largely white counties was in many places close to 100% and overwhelmingly those people voted for Trump. Trump’s victory, though, was not a matter of white backlash. Take a look at places like Hazleton, an old coal town that is now two-thirds Hispanic. Every precinct in Hazleton went for Trump with 60-70% of these voters voting for Trump’s America First agenda. Take a look at Philadelphia where unprecedented numbers of black Americans lined up in support of that same platform.

Why did these people vote for Trump? It boils down to what it always does in politics — ’kitchen table" issues. The voters in Hazleton and all across Pennsylvania voted for lower taxes, smaller government, lower prices, safer streets, and border security. They voted against the "woke agenda", transgender madness and government censorship.

These people also understand the magnitude of the struggle they are in. Trump’s victory was a significant milestone in the fight by Pennsylvanians and all Americans to retake control of their country. It was not the end of anything, however. When the battle of Trenton was over, and the Hessians had surrendered Washington told his generals to get the troops ready to march immediately. They protested that they and their soldiers were tired and needed rest. His response is legendary. “What can you be thinking? That we have won the war?”

We just won a battle. The war is a long way from over.

Pennsylvania’s elections are a mess. Mail-in voting and Supreme Court decreed drop boxes have combined to create a bizarre overly complex system that no one fully understands and is impossible to police. This time we managed to have a reasonably secure election but only by using a system held together by the equivalent of bailing wire and chewing gum. That system needs fixed urgently.

In Harrisburg, the Republicans who claim to be supporters of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement passed the bill that created the current mad system. In the aftermath of the 2020 election, they did exactly nothing to rectify their mistake and, in fact, ridiculed those who criticized the system as conspiracy theorists and election deniers. Even today they sit passively and watch the electoral chaos with detachment.

This is not about one election or any one state. This is about many Pennsylvania’s now. This revolution has only just begun.

This article is written by retired CIA Case Officer and author, Charles Faddis. Worth reading whatever your political leanings.

There is a video at the link too:

We know NOW just how desperate Kamala was in Pennsylvania.

HOLY EFF! Lancaster, Pennsylvania officials BUSTED a large-scale voter registration scam with thousands of applications with the same handwriting, fake signatures, false addresses, etc

They discovered the same scheme in other Pennsylvania counties.

District Attorney Heather Adams revealed that the applications came from canvassers who were paid to obtain voter registrations, adding that "The majority of the applications were from residents in the city of Lancaster... The canvases themselves took place at various shopping centers, parking lots of grocery stores and businesses, sidewalks and parks."

"We are aware of at least two other counties that receive similar applications that are currently being investigated."

If you listen closely, the DA said the Clerk received the applications at or near the deadline to register to vote. That means the bad actors waited till the last minute so no one would notice. They would've used the fraudulent applications to commit mail-in ballot fraud without getting caught.

We better check the entire state of Pennsylvania, and we better see arrests NOW.

Government Corruption
150,000 employees across various federal agencies owe 1.5 billion in overdue taxes.
[X] Taxes for thee but not for me? That averages $10,000 owed apiece, but the idea that IRS employees should be exempt from making payments that the rest of us must is unconscionable. A good thing that Vice President Kamala Harris will never be president.

Two Israeli soldiers injured in West Bank car-ramming operation
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Two Israeli soldiers were maimed on Wednesday evening in a Paleostinian car-ramming operation at the junction of Deir Qaddis village and Ni'lin, west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

The Hebrew media said that two soldiers were lightly injured after a driver accelerated his car and hit them near Deir Qaddis village.

A large number of Israeli troops spread in the area following the operation and launched a manhunt for the driver, who managed to flee the scene.
... as though they had never been...
The IOF also blocked several roads in western Ramallah following the incident.

Cyber
Internet Disconnection Exercises
Direct Translation via Google Translate.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin;

[ColonelCassad] In December 2024, Russia will hold exercises to disconnect the Russian segment of the Internet from the global network. The reasons are obvious - in the event of a full-fledged war with NATO, they will try to bring down the entire network infrastructure of Russia connected to the western part of the global network in the shortest possible time.

Therefore, in the conditions of a hot war with the West, we will have to exist within the framework of our segment. Testing such scenarios is an urgent need, even without references to the need to test the resilience of our segment of the Internet in the face of ongoing cyberattacks on our network infrastructure.

It remains only to wish that the exercises are successful and do not collapse the services people need in the process, including those used in the interests of the actions of our troops in Ukraine.

It is also worth noting that the DPRK lives in a mode of complete disconnection of the overwhelming majority of the population from the global network.

We (if we do not consider scenarios of direct war with the USA and NATO) are not going to disconnect from the global network and are rather guided by the Chinese experience, which has extensive experience in regulating access to the network for its citizens and cutting off unwanted services, organizations and individuals from access to the Chinese segment.

P.S. By the way. Regarding restricting access to YouTube. As expected, it works - VK Video and Rutube are gaining new authors and audience, but YouTube in the Russian Federation after the start of "degradation". The number of content authors since the start of "degradation" has decreased by 34%, and the total volume of content by 22%. Actually, everyone understands that you can turn on a VPN, but many are just too lazy.

Europeans have figured out how to reject Africans imposed by Brussels
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Vladimir Dobrynin

[REGNUM] Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez recently came up with an initiative to attract 250,000 migrants from several African countries to the country. According to the head of the government of the Iberian kingdom, Spain needs the labor force of immigrants so much that without the help of citizens of Mauritania, Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso and Niger, the country faces economic collapse.

The Prime Minister’s statement does not shine with novelty or originality – in many EU countries, it is precisely economic necessity that is used to explain the EU’s open-door policy for outsiders from the Middle East and North Africa, proclaimed several years ago.

It seems that the migration crisis of 2015-2016, when about a million refugees arrived in Germany alone – job seekers (in reality, seeking high social benefits), taught Europeans nothing. Brussels continues to put pressure on the members of the “Commonwealth of Twenty-Seven”, implementing its program of replacing the native population of European states with migrants.

Spain is one of the most ardent fans of hosting uninvited guests in this matter. The country's population, frankly, is not happy with this policy, but the opinions of ordinary citizens do not always make it onto the pages of publications. Except perhaps in the comments of readers.

And even those are preserved in small quantities only to demonstrate “pluralism.” But in such a way that the reader cannot think that there are more dissenters than agreeers.

If you look closely, the new initiative of the leader of the Spanish Socialists, who is currently at the helm of the country, is nothing more than an attempt to legalize illegal immigrants. According to Pedro Sanchez, all those wishing to enter Spain to work can be controlled, letting them into the country on a work visa for a certain period and ensuring their return home.

In principle, the idea is sound, but, according to the opposition, it is practically impossible to implement. Especially considering that only the first three states from the list officially have more than three million job seekers.

According to representatives of the People's Party, the existing police force is not enough to monitor the 250,000 migrants and their compliance with the conditions.

A quarter of a million “newcomers” per year is not a one-time event, but a permanent practice, calculated for the period up to 2050. And an additional set of police officers to monitor them will be a big problem, since this will create a large additional burden on the budget.

And, as the OKDiario publication notes, there is no guarantee that the police will be able to catch those who, after their work visa expires, decide to go into hiding rather than return to their home country.

There are currently at least 150,000 illegal immigrants living in the Iberian kingdom, sources in the Ministry of Internal Affairs told the publication. And it is impossible to deport so many people home: they easily dissolve in their diasporas, which provide them with work that pays them "off the books."

Several years ago, the European Commission discussed reducing the flow of Africans wishing to settle in Europe. The idea was voiced of creating, so to speak, centers for assessing the professional qualifications of migrants in the territory of states that issue human resources for the EU.

There were also proposals to allocate money to countries whose citizens were especially active in fleeing to Europe. The funds had a specific purpose - opening businesses and recruiting personnel, that is, distracting some potential migrants from the idea of making a dash across the Mediterranean to the land that Josep Borrell called the "Garden of Eden." The calculation was that if they earned good money in Africa, they would not go to conquer Europe.

Neither idea stood the test of practice, and the allocated money, as often happens, disappeared without a trace in the vast African expanses.

Pedro Sanchez, by the way, turned out to be one of those who believed to the very end that investments in the Sahel region would bring good luck and dry up the flow of illegals to the Old World. Suffice it to say that at the end of August of this year, he visited Mauritania, presenting its authorities with €500 million as aid for economic development. The money was accepted there with gratitude. And with the hope that the Europeans would send more.

"It is worth remembering that the Sahel is a region where jihadism has flourished. And therefore the danger of radical residents of this zone penetrating into Europe is pushing the latter to seek any methods to block the routes from Africa to Europe. Including using financial plugs," OKDiario notes.

If we approach the migration problem from the point of view of Spain's real needs for labor, the statement about the need for a quarter of a million guests is surprising. The country already has 2.5 million people officially unemployed (the population of Spain is 47 million people). And if we add those who are scraping by on short-term contracts but are not formally recognized as unemployed, then the poor fellows number as many as three million.

It is also impossible to explain the attraction of foreigners by the economy: the law on minimum wages, adopted in 2023, requires that hired workers be paid at least 1080 euros, regardless of whether the enterprise is private or public.

For the Spaniards, this is a very acceptable salary (by the way, it is paid 14 times a year), local residents would gladly take up the vacancies. Moreover, according to the law, they have a preferential right: an entrepreneur can hire a foreigner only if “their own” do not want to take a specific job.

Thus, it turns out that Sanchez's idea of hiring 250,000 foreigners annually is nothing more than an "excuse" for Spain, invented for the EU authorities. Madrid has seemingly indicated its intention to follow the EU migration policy, but it can refuse at any moment, citing pressure from the population and the impossibility of controlling a quarter of a million foreign temporary workers.

The outspoken Trump critic announced the rally on MSNBC earlier this week.

''While Trump supporters will be on one side of Washington watching him take the oath of office, I will be at the nation's capital working to keep the dream alive,'' Sharpton said. ''There has never been a more important time to peacefully organize and mobilize.''

In 2017, the largest anti-Trump rallies in Washington were held one day after his inauguration. Among them was the Women's March, which garnered thousands of protesters. Sharpton was among those who participated at an affiliated rally in New York.

13 more Soros DAs out; of 75 identified, 50 now gone
[X]

… San Francisco's tough-on-crime DA crushed her progressive opponent two-to-one.

California's Prop 36, restoring tough penalties for drugs and theft, passed with historic 70% support.

The voter revolt crossed party lines - more than half of Harris voters backed tougher crime measures, rejecting policies championed by Soros-funded prosecutors.

The shift is dramatic: Of roughly 75 Soros-linked DAs identified in 2022, over 30 have left office and 20 have been replaced by traditional prosecutors, from Virginia to Florida.

As one winning campaign put it:

FBI Says They Thwarted A '9/11-Style' Terror Attack Plot on US Soil
This looks more like another small fry wannabe talking big to impress his new best friend than a well-planned, multiple jihadi 9/11-style attack. As Europe reels under multi-city riots with Jew hunts, we in America have much to be grateful for.
[Townhall] The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) foiled a "9/11-style" terror attack plot that was meant to unfold on U.S. soil.

Anas Said, 28, of Houston, Texas, is accused of plotting a terrorist attack in the city and trying to provide material support to ISIS.

FBI Houston says the now-thwarted plot was part of Said's plans to commit various violent mostly peaceful acts on behalf of ISIS.

According to authorities, Said admitted to researching how to conduct an attack on local military recruiting centers, offering up his home as a safe sanctuary to ISIS operatives, bragging about carrying out a "9/11-style" attack if he had the resources, and attempting to produce ISIS propaganda.

Said was taken into custody on Nov. 8 at his Houston apartment complex, the location where he allegedly devised the scheme.

FBI officials announced Said's arrest at a news conference Thursday morning.

"Today is a great day. We've taken a suspected terrorist off the streets of Houston," FBI Houston special agent in charge Douglas Williams told news hounds.

U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani explained that Said was born in Houston but moved to Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, his family's home country, and spent "a good part of his childhood" there.

Hamdani said when agents confronted Said, he threw his cell phone against the ground in an attempt to smash it.

A search of Said's devices revealed pro-ISIS images and messages, including communications with the official media outlet for ISIS, according to Hamdani. Said allegedly created at least five videos and two images that he sent to an ISIS social media and web designer for distribution.

Said's laptop allegedly contained files of instructions on how to prepare C4 explosives, use a remote detonator, and prepare other various explosives.

Said has been on the FBI Houston Joint Terrorist Task Force's radar since 2017. Authorities noticed Said because he ordered two stickers with pro-ISIS messaging: one displaying the ISIS flag and another showing a silhouette of a man holding a rifle with the caption, "Winning the Islamic Nation."

"Our early investigation determined Said frequently viewed ISIS literature and other online propaganda," Williams said.

When the FBI questioned Said in 2018, he claimed that he did not support ISIS killings. However,
denial ain't just a river in Egypt...
he admitted to visiting ISIS media websites and said the terrorist organization was "waking people up." Said was questioned four times by the FBI that year in relation to the pro-ISIS sticker purchases.

Then, the October 7 Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
attack on Israel spurred Said toward violence, Williams said, and he was accordingly pushed to the top of the FBI's priority list of national security threats.

Said allegedly also wanted to target a Jewish group in Houston that supports Israel by impersonating a donor to meet with the organization's director and assaulting them if they didn't acquiesce.

Williams said Said confessed to wanting to use explosives to commit a mass killing in the Houston area. His strategy involved joining the U.S. military just so he could carry out violence once inside their ranks, Williams stated.

An undercover FBI agent allegedly asked Said if he would make and use an boom belt.

"If I did, it would be very easy. I would shave my beard and hair, put on a military uniform for camouflage, and go inside and push the button. Everything will turn into grilled meat," Said allegedly said.

Court documents show Said is also connected to a separate plot to harm former President George W. Bush, according to Austin-based TV station KVUE. Said allegedly told the undercover FBI agent he had offered to house men who "attempted to enter Texas to kill 'Bush,' but that plot was not successful."

Said also allegedly said Bush and President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
were "too old" to kill and that "it would be wasteful to use a bullet on them."

Said has a detention hearing on Thursday afternoon in federal court.
Fox News adds:
Despite Said's alleged crimes, he doesn't have any negative feelings about the U.S., said Zuniga.

"I would not say that at all," he said. "I think that he is certainly passionate about protecting his Islamic religion. I don't think he has any particular animosity toward the United States itself."

In a 2019 FBI interview, Said claimed "he no longer consumed radical Islamic propaganda and only used the internet for schoolwork and for watching sports," according to the memo.

That wasn't true, according to the DOJ.

"On or about October 18, 2023, pursuant to legal process, FBI received information from Meta Platforms, Inc. ('Meta') regarding 11 Facebook accounts used by the Defendant that showed he continued to support ISIS and the violent attacks carried out in its name," according to the DOJ.

His family members "expressed their concerns" in FBI interviews, and "subsequent analysis of the Defendant’s electronic devices revealed multiple encrypted messaging applications containing records of his efforts to create and disseminate propaganda that glorified ISIS’s ongoing violence, the evidence underlying the material support offense charged in the indictment," the department alleged.

Said allegedly refused to comply with FBI agents who executed a search warrant against him last Friday, and he smashed his cellphone.

Maybe I've become tainted and skeptical of FBI since Obama's shake up of its core.

Because, I remember the days. When I read,

and I was immediately cheering the agency for keeping America Safe?

Now I find myself peeking behind the curtain, wondering if it's Deflection, PR Hype, or a Rewrite of the actual events.

Somali pirate from Minnesota sentenced for holding US journalist hostage
[Fox9] A Somali pirate from Minneapolis has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in holding an American journalist hostage.

A Somali pirate from Minnesota has been sentenced to federal prison for his role in holding an American journalist hostage for nearly three years.

WHAT WE KNOW
In a blurb on Tuesday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said Abdi Yusuf Hassan, of Minneapolis, and Mohammed Tahlil Mohammed, of Somalia, received a 30-year prison sentence for hostage taking, terrorism and firearm offenses related to the 977-day captivity of American freelance journalist Michael Scott Moore.
Mr. Moore is a German journalist with dual American citizenship who went to Somali to research a book on piracy. No doubt by the time his ransom was paid he knew a great deal more on the subject than he’d intended.
Officials said Hassan and Mohammed played "significant roles in Moore’s captivity" and abused their positions within the Somali government. Hassan served as the Minister of Interior Galmudug
...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. Galmudug is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation, but rather considers itself autonomous within the larger Somali federalism, for what that's worth...
providence in Somalia, where he was responsible for police and security forces.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, Butch clutched at his other shoulder......
Mohammed was a serving officer in the Somali army.

WHAT HAPPENED?
In January 2012, Moore was taken from his vehicle while traveling in Somalia to research piracy and the economy. Officials say Moore was held in various locations during his time in captivity, including a hijacked ship with 28 other crew members from Vietnam, China, the Philippines, and Taiwan. His captors would move him between safehouses, keep him under armed guard, and chain him at night to prevent escape.

The captors made several proof-of-life videos requesting large ransom payments, and Moore was eventually released in September 2014 after it was paid, according to the DOJ.

The blurb says Hassan was directly involved in the ransom negotiations and directed the production of the videos. He also "served as an overall leader of the pirates" and used his home as a base of operations.

In February 2023, Hassan and Mohammed underwent a three-week trial, and a federal jury found them guilty.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
"For nearly three years, Michael Scott Moore was held hostage in Somalia by pirates. He was beaten, chained to the floor, and threatened with assault rifles and machine guns. Hassan and Mohammed were key players in that hostage-taking. Both abused their positions in Somalia’s government—Hassan, as a security bigshot, and Mohammed as an army officer—by keeping a U.S. citizen captive to satisfy their own greed. Today’s sentences demonstrate our resolve to hold those who take Americans hostage accountable for their crimes," said U.S. Attorney Damian Williams.
Shabelle Media adds:
Mohamed, 43, is from Mogadishu, Somalia. Hassan, 56, is a naturalized U.S. citizen of Minneapolis, Minn., who served as Somalia’s Minister of the Interior. They kept Moore for 977 days. In addition to a prison term, both were sentenced to one day of supervised release.

According to the Justice Department, Hassan and Mohamed were “key players” who played “significant roles” in the hostage-taking.

Hassan, a senior government official and Mohamed, an ex-Army officer, kept Moore in order to “satisfy their own greed,” says Williams.o

The U.S. government contends Hassan’s government role as Interior Minister made him responsible for police and security forces in Somalia’s Galmudug province where Moore was allegedly being held in captivity.

Moore, then a 45-year-old U.S.-German dual citizen was kidnapped by an unspecified armed group in January 2012 while conducting research on piracy for a book on a grant from the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting.

He is the author of Sweetness and Blood, a 2010 about the history of surfing, and The Desert and the Sea, his 2018 memoir about his captivity in Somalia.

He was driving in the Galkayo vicinity when his vehicle was “suddenly surrounded by a group of heavily armed men carrying assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers,” officials say.

Hassan, the federal government claimed, served as “overall leader” of the group of Somali pirates to extort ransom money from Moore’s elderly mother. He also directed production of “proof-of-life” videos that Moore was forced to take part in to prove he was still alive.

Moore reportedly got pulled from his vehicle, beaten with weapons, and drove away in another vehicle to a secluded area where he was held with two Seychellois fishermen abducted in October 2011 off the Somali coast.

Meanwhile, Mohamed was a Somali Army officer and a supervisor of the group of pirates holding Moore who moved their hostage multiple times around the plagued nation on the East African continent. He was held in various locations in the vicinity of Hobyo, Somalia for roughly three months

He was held along with 26 Asian sailors later freed and returned home to their native Vietnam, Taiwan, Cambodia, Indonesia, China and the Philippines.

Moore was forced to witness things such as torture and had been under constant threat of bodily injury. The kidnappers provided Moore with next to no information. His only access to the outside world was limited to just a radio.

But in court proceedings, Moore reportedly requested the court be lenient when in Mohamed’s sentencing. “‘Gentle” was a word Moore supposedly used to descrilbe Mohamed, according to Mohamed’s lawyer.

“Mr. Moore confirmed that Mr. Mohamed was kind to him throughout his ordeal,” Susan Kellman, an attorney for Mohamed, told The Hill in an email.

Following a ransom payment, Moore’s Somali captors did release him in September 2014. The effort to obtain Williams’ release was an interagency government effort between the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI and its various branches.

Five dead and wounded during infighting in occupied Shabwah
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Violent festivities broke out on Wednesday with various types of medium and heavy weapons, leaving nearly five dead and maimed in Shabwah provinces, which are under the control of UAE-backed factions in eastern Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
Informed sources said, ''Clashes renewed between bully boyz of the Al Dahmar and Al al-Bahri tribes in the city of al-Alia Bayhan following confrontations between them last week.''

The confrontations broke out between tribal bully boyz in the al-Runa region, leaving two people from the Dahmar tribe dead and another from the Al al-Bahri, amid appeals to stop the bloodshed among the rustics.

Today's confrontations came after festivities broke out between tribal bully boyz last week in front of the Bayhan security directorate gate, which left two people dead and two others injured.

The Shabwah districts are witnessing unprecedented security chaos due to the absence of state authorities and the encouragement of conflict between rustics by the leaders of the factions brought in by the UAE from the west coast.

Europe
France: Pro-Palestinian French fans attack Israeli fans, game ends in 0-0 tie
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

After physical altercations in stands at Paris match, Israel holds France to 0-0 tie

[IsraelTimes] Guards quickly separate sides; crowd size of 16,611 marks lowest turnout for French national team since the Stade de France opened, with many staying away due to security fears

Security personnel intervened after physical altercations broke out at the Israel-La Belle France Nations League game at the Stade de La Belle France on Thursday night, with some French fans booing the Israeli national anthem before the start of the match.

After the scuffles broke out, security created a buffer zone separating two sections, one of which had a number of Israel supporters waving blue and white flags. The incident was over within minutes.

The game ended in a 0-0 draw — a highly impressive achievement for Israel, which earned its first point in the competition. La Belle France, who secured a place in the quarterfinals with the tie, were the defeated finalists in the 2022 World Cup.

French authorities stepped up security ahead in Gay Paree ahead of the match, hoping to avoid a repeat of the violence a week earlier in Amsterdam, where assaults on Maccabi fans sparked outrage and were widely condemned as antisemitic.

Around 4,000 police and members of the security forces patrolled inside and outside the Stade de La Belle France and on public transport. A further 1,600 civilian security personnel were also on duty.

Some 100 Israel fans defied a warning from their government against traveling for sports events, sitting in a corner of the 80,000-capacity stadium which was barely a fifth full as many stayed away due to security fears. The 16,611 attendance was the lowest for Les Bleus at the Stade de La Belle France since it opened in 1998.

Around 600 members of the Jewish community in La Belle France were also among those at the game, traveling to the stadium in buses with a police escort.

French-Jewish fans Menachem Cohen, 18, and Dov Ber Cerf, 21, said the booing heard each time Israel charged with the ball went far beyond the usual levels of home team support.

"We came because we wanted to show that we support Israel, that we are not afraid of anyone, and we won’t be intimidated by anyone. There’s a God [to protect us], and all will be okay, God willing," they said.

Attending the game were French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Michel Barnier, former president Nicolas Sarkozy
...23rd President of the French Republic. Sarkozy is married to singer-songwriter Carla Bruni, who has a really nice birthday suit...
, former French president Francois Hollande
...the Socialist president of La Belle France, an economic bad joke for la Belle France but seemingly a foreign policy realist...
, Israel’s Ambassador Joshua Zarka and many other French officials.

"We will not give in to antisemitism anywhere, and violence — including in the French Republic — will never prevail, nor will intimidation," Macron told BFMTV, after the government defied calls from some French politicians to postpone the match or move it to another city.

Macron called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before the game to assure him that French authorities had taken the necessary security measures for the match to pass off smoothly, the president’s office said.

An elite police unit guarded the Israeli team from the moment they arrived on French soil. Israel coach Ran Ben Simon said the security had been "extraordinary."

"We want to thank the security people for protecting us," he said in a post-match presser.

Earlier Thursday, several hundred pro-Paleostinian demonstrators attended an anti-Israel rally north of Gay Paree in Saint-Denis, where the Stade de La Belle France is located.

That came after a larger protest on Wednesday against the holding of an "Israel is Forever" gala in the French capital. Clashes broke out with police firing tear gas and some protesters damaged the window of a restaurant.

Al-Ikhbariya: Israel hits bridge in Syria near Lebanon border
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
I’d give near certain odds that the IDF was hunting, and hit, Iranian arms headed for Hezbollah.
[Regnum] Israeli aircraft struck one of the bridges in southwestern Syria in the Al-Qusayr region near the border with Lebanon. This was reported on November 14 by the Syrian TV channel Al-Ikhbariya.

“Information was received about an Israeli strike on one of the bridges in the El-Qusayr area on the border with Lebanon,” the TV channel reported.

At the same time, the radio station Sham FM reported on the damage caused by the strike.

As reported by Regnum news agency, on the evening of November 14, the SANA agency reported that the Israeli army struck the area of the Syrian city of El-Qusayr in the province of Homs near the border with Lebanon.

On the night of November 3, the Israeli Air Force attacked settlements in Lebanon on the northern border with Syria. As a result of the attack, a bridge linking the Hermel region of the Baalbek-Hermel province and the Akkar region was destroyed.

On the night of November 8-9, the IDF Air Force attacked targets southeast of the city of Aleppo in Syria. Several Syrian soldiers were injured in the attack. According to Al Hadath TV channel, the strike was carried out on the As-Safira industrial zone. Journalists noted that military enterprises and defense warehouses are located there.

Great White North
Surrey, BC, Canada ‘Go back to Europe - we are the owners of this Country’
[PUBLISH.TWITTER] Is the Sikh Khalistan movement moving entirely to Canada instead of trying to overthrow the Indian government? Pakistan will be so disappointed.

Perhaps that nonsense has something to do with this — I can’t find any other connection:
India Renews 2023 Extradition Request To Canada For Khalistani Leader Arsh Dalla

[OneIndia] India has announced plans to renew a 2023 extradition request to Canada for Arsh Singh Gill, also known as Arsh Dalla, a Khalistani radical and designated terrorist who is among over two dozen criminals and turbans sought by India.

Reports indicate that Dalla was recently apprehended in Canada, prompting India to push once again for his extradition.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed the move, referencing reports from November 10 regarding Dalla's arrest and the Ontario court's decision to schedule a hearing. "Given Arsh Dalla's criminal history in India and his involvement in illegal activities in Canada, it is anticipated that he will be extradited to face justice in India," Jaiswal stated.

Dalla has a criminal record involving more than 50 cases of murder, attempted murder, extortion, and terrorism, including financing terror activities. In May 2022, Interpol issued a Red Notice against him, and in July 2023, India formally requested Canada for his provisional arrest, which Canada initially declined. Later, India supplied further documentation to support the extradition request.

In an effort to verify Dalla's residency in Canada and his financial links with India, a separate request was submitted under the bilateral Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty in January 2023. Canada's Department of Justice later asked for additional details, which were promptly provided in March 2024.

Arsh Dalla, who reportedly fled to Canada, allegedly collaborated with Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar-then chief of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF)-to recruit youth and establish terror networks for extortion purposes. Nijjar was killed in June 2023 in Surrey, British Columbia. In January 2023, India's Ministry of Home Affairs officially labeled Dalla an "individual terrorist" under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

Originally from Dala village in Moga district, Punjab
...1. Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2. A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3. A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots
...
.
, Dalla is believed to operate out of British Columbia and remains wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Punjab Police. The NIA has placed a bounty of ₹10 lakh on his capture, as India intensifies efforts to bring him back to face charges.

#1  Lots more about the miscreant from the Indian Express:

Who is Arsh Dalla, the Khalistani separatist arrested by Canadian Police?
Dalla is on the list of the most wanted terrorists in India and has been charged in various cases of targeted killings and extortion.

IAF hit secret Iranian nuclear research facility during October operation - report
[Jpost] The Israel Air Force allegedly struck one of Iran's secret nuclear research facilities as part of an operation that took place at the end of October, according to a Friday Axios report that cited former and current US and Israeli officials.

According to the report, the attack caused significant damage to the site in the Parchin military complex, about 20 kilometers southeast of Tehran.

The strike dealt a severe blow to Iran’s nuclear development efforts, the officials cited in the report claimed.

The facility was allegedly part of the Iranian Amad nuclear weapons program until 2003. It was then used for testing explosives needed to set off a nuclear device, the report added, citing the Institute for Science and International Security.

IRAN DECLINES TO COMMENT
Axios also noted that a former Israeli official briefed on the strike said Israel destroyed sophisticated equipment that was required and necessary for the nuclear devices.

Additionally, the report said that Iran has allegedly denied using nuclear weapons. It also mentioned that the Iranian mission to the UN declined to comment on the Axios report.
"One former Israeli official briefed on the strike said it destroyed sophisticated equipment used to design the plastic explosives that surround uranium in a nuclear device and are needed to detonate it."

Iran claims to have brought its military nuclear program to a halt in 2003, and yet the Taleghan 2 building at Parchin "was used for testing explosives needed to set off a nuclear device, according to the Institute for Science and International Security."

"They conducted scientific activity that could lay the ground for the production of a nuclear weapon. It was a top-secret thing. A small part of the Iranian government knew about this, but most of the Iranian government didn't," a U.S. official told Axios.

What's interesting is that Israel knew about a nuclear weapons research facility that most of the Iranian government did not.

There's also the small matter of Iran's missile production, which was hobbled in the same October air raid that destroyed Iran's Parchin Military Complex. Three weeks ago, "multiple reports citing Israeli, American and Iranian officials," plus satellite imagery, revealed that Israel's Oct. 26 air raid "crippled Iran’s ability to produce long-range ballistic missiles."

"The Axios news site cited Israeli sources and a US official as saying Iran can’t produce the mixers [for solid rocket fuel] on its own and must acquire them from China, which may take more than a year," and that it would "take two years to repair the factory."

Whatever missiles Iran has on hand now is about all they'll have for a while.
