Some Muslims who voted for Trump upset by his pro-Israel cabinet picks
[IsraelTimes] US Moslem leaders who supported Republican Donald Trump
...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down...
to protest against the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s war on Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? "Trump won because of us and we’re not happy with his Secretary of State pick and others," says Rabiul Chowdhury, a Philadelphia investor who chaired the Abandon Harris campaign in Pennsylvania and co-founded Moslems for Trump. Moslem support for Trump helped him win Michigan and may have factored into other swing state wins, strategists believe.

Trump also nominated Mike Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor and staunch pro-Israel conservative who backs Israeli occupation of the West Bank and has called a two-state solution "unworkable," as the next ambassador to Israel.

He has picked Republican Representative Elise Stefanik, who called the UN a "cesspool of antisemitism" for its condemnation of deaths in Gaza, to serve as US ambassador to the United Nations

Rexhinaldo Nazarko, executive director of the American Moslem Engagement and Empowerment Network (AMEEN), says Moslem voters had hoped Trump would choose cabinet officials who work toward peace, and there was no sign of that.

"We are very disappointed," he said. "It seems like this administration has been packed entirely with neoconservatives and extremely pro-Israel, pro-war people, which is a failure on the side of President Trump, to the pro-peace and anti-war movement."

Nazarko says the community would continue pressing to make its voices heard after rallying votes to help Trump win. "At least we’re on the map."

Rola Makki, the Lebanese American, Moslem vice chair for outreach of the Michigan Republican Party, shrugs off the criticism.

"I don’t think everyone’s going to be happy with every appointment Trump makes, but the outcome is what matters," she says. "I do know that Trump wants peace, and what people need to realize is that there’s 50,000 dead Paleostinians and 3,000 dead Lebanese, and that’s happened during the current administration."

Syrian state media reports Israeli airstrike in upscale Damascus district
[IsraelTimes] Syria’s state-run SANA news agency reports an Israeli airstrike in the upscale Mezzeh district of the capital Damascus.

No further details are given.
From Grom’s comment, to make it searchable in the Rantburg archives:
Two senior officials from the Islamic Jihad terror group were eliminated in an Israeli strike in Damascus, Syria, on Thursday, the terror group confirmed.

Rasmi Abu Issa served as head of Islamic Jihad's foreign relations team, and Abdul Aziz al-Minawi was part of the terror group's political bureau.

"IAF fighter planes, guided by the Northern Command, attacked a number of military buildings and command centers belonging to Islamic Jihad in Syria," the IDF confirmed Thursday.

"Islamic Jihad, led by its leaders who sit outside of the Gaza Strip, carried out the October 7 massacre alongside Hamas, and has continued to carry out terror attacks against the State of Israel ever since."

A statement by Syria's Defense Ministry said, "Israel attacked at around 3:20 p.m. a number of residential buildings in Al Mazzeh and in the Qudesia area in the suburbal area of Damascus. Fifteen people were killed and sixteen were injured, among them women and children."

Iraq
UK crime agency collaborates with Kurdistan on migration
[Rudaw] The United Kingdom is collaborating with the Kurdistan Region to combat "organised immigration crime" as Kurdish groups have come to dominate deadly smuggling routes into Britannia, a British official told Rudaw.

"We maintain a positive relationship with law enforcement partners in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and work with them against a range of shared threats, including organised immigration crime," a spokesperson for the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) press office told Rudaw via email on Wednesday.

Kurdish criminal groups control the increasingly lucrative cross-Channel migration routes, according to the NCA, which said in its 2023 assessment that the groups are mainly based in northern Europe.

Last Tuesday, a French court sentenced 18 people, mostly Kurds from the Kurdistan Region, to prison terms of up to 15 years for operating a smuggling network that transported people across the English Channel. In May, Kurdish police in Sulaimani arrested a Kurdish man accused of heading an organized crime group that smuggled people into the UK.

The NCA spokesperson said that in addition to working with Kurdish law enforcement, they also "target and disrupt organised crime groups at every step of the route, in source countries, in transit countries such as Greece, Italia and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
, near the UK border in La Belle France and Belgium, and those operating inside the UK itself."

The spokesperson added that they have "around 70 ongoing investigations into networks or individuals in the top tier of organised immigration crime or human trafficking, those inflicting the highest harm, and who are the most difficult to reach. Some of these sit right at the top of the NCA’s priority list."

Every year, tens of thousands of people from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region seek to escape endless crises of lack of employment, political instability, and corruption by joining thousands of others from scores of countries taking perilous routes to Europe. The UK is a popular destination for many people, but crossing the English Channel is dangerous and can be deadly.

Feryal Clark, a British Labour MP, told Rudaw in July that the UK needs better policies to deal with immigration.

"The bottom of the English Channel and the seas are littered with the hopes and dreams of immigrants colonists, people who have taken the horrible, horrible journey. It is unacceptable. We need a fairer, better way of dealing with immigration. We need to have legal routes, as we had for Ukraine, as we had for Afghanistan, where people can apply in the country where they’re in, and travel without having to take this perilous journey," she said.

Around 20,000 people from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region migrated out of the country in 2023, with at least nine of them losing their lives on the dangerous and illegal smuggling routes, according to the Summit (Lutka) Foundation for Refugees and Displaced Affairs.

Afghanistan
Over two million Afghan migrants return home in past year
[KhaamaPress] The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) released a report stating that over the past year, 2.2 million Afghan migrants have returned to Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan.

On Wednesday, November 13, USAID, quoting the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), reported that these returnees arrived between August 15, 2023, and September 2024.

According to the report, 734,817 Afghan migrants returned from Pakistan alone.

USAID noted that of these returnees, 588,000 received assistance to help with their resettlement.

Previously, the Afghan Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation had also reported that around 2 million Afghan migrants had returned from Iran and Pakistan in the past year, while approximately seven million Afghans remain in other countries.

The report comes amid an increasing trend of Afghan migrants being expelled from Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey, with hundreds of families being deported daily.

Recently, Iranian officials warned that by the end of this year, around 2 million undocumented Afghan migrants would be expelled from Iran.

US spends over $14 billion on Afghan evacuation and resettlement: SIGAR
[KhaamaPress] The U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) announced that the United States has spent over $14 billion in the past three years on relocating and resettling Afghans in the U.S.

The Washington Times reported on Sunday, November 10, that this $14 billion was allocated to evacuation flights and resettlement programs for Afghan refugees in the United States.

According to the report, since the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
regained control on August 2021, the U.S. has not only spent billions on evacuation and resettlement but also sent over $3 billion to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

John Sopko, the U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, told the newspaper that "the United States remains the largest donor to the Afghan people."
Why?
Sopko noted that while Afghanistan continues to need humanitarian aid, what he described as "harassment of aid groups" has led to the shutdown of over 80 humanitarian operations in the country.

The U.S. continues to play a major role in supporting Afghan refugees and providing humanitarian assistance, even as challenges persist within Afghanistan under Taliban control.

Dutch government teeters over handling of antisemitic attacks on Israeli soccer fans, but does not fall
[IsraelTimes] Junior minister Nora Achahbar said to have quit in protest of ‘racist’ comments made blaming Moroccan immigrants for violence against Tel Aviv fans, her party could leave coalition

The Dutch cabinet met in an emergency session on Friday amid reports the coalition could implode over the government’s handling of violence last week against fans of an Israeli team visiting for a soccer match, local media reported.

Nora Achahbar quit on Friday as junior finance minister after prominent ministers accused Dutch youths of Moroccan descent of attacking the Israeli fans in Amsterdam around the November 7 match between Dutch side Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv, local media cited sources in the cabinet session as saying.

The violence was roundly condemned by Israel and Dutch politicians, with Amsterdam’s mayor saying "antisemitic hit-and-run squads" had attacked Israeli fans.

Israeli officials said 10 people were maimed in the Thursday night violence carried out by local Arab and Moslem gangs against Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer fans. Hundreds more Israelis huddled in their hotels for hours, fearing they could be attacked. Many said that Dutch security forces were nowhere to be found, as the Israeli tourists were ambushed by gangs of masked assailants who shouted pro-Paleostinian and anti-Israel slogans while they hunted, beat and harassed them.

Social media footage also showed Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters chanting anti-Arab slogans and pulling down a Paleostinian flag before the game.

Achahbar, a former public prosecutor who was born in Morocco, felt comments by several ministers about last week’s events had crossed a line, with hurtful and possibly racist comments about the attacks on the Israeli fans, the De Volkskrant daily reported.

Her resignation triggered Friday’s crisis cabinet meeting in which other cabinet members of her centrist NSC party also threatened to quit, broadcasters NOS and RTL said, citing government sources.

If Achahbar’s center-right NSC party does leave the government, the other three coalition members could continue as a minority government, or call early elections.

The coalition is led by the anti-Moslem populist PVV of Geert Wilders, which came top in a general election a year ago. It was installed in July after months of tense negotiations.

Wilders has repeatedly said Dutch youth of Moroccan descent were the main attackers of the Israeli fans, although police have given no details about the background of the suspects.

Wilders last Wednesday blamed Moroccans for attacks on Israeli soccer fans, claiming that "we saw Moslems hunting Jews" and added it was fueled by "Moroccans who want to destroy Jews." He said those convicted of involvement should be deported if they have dual nationality.

Party leaders were seen joining the meeting at the official residence of Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof in The Hague. Caterers brought dinner in, media said.

Schoof said on Monday the incidents showed that some of the youth in the Netherlands with an immigrant background did not share "Dutch core values."

Opposition politicians accused Wilders of pouring oil on the fire. Wilders, whose party became the biggest in last year’s election, also sowed some dissent within the four-party coalition with his comments.

The leader of the Green-left-Socialist opposition, Frans Timmermans, lauded Achahbar even before any move was announced.

"In this government, racist remarks are the order of the day. This government is not for all Dutch people," he said.

NSC acting leader Nicolien van Vroonhoven said "we will see" if the party wanted to continue in the government coalition.

"We have had to swallow quite a bit, it’s difficult," Van Vroonhoven told news hounds at the gates of Schoof’s official residence in The Hague.

Asked if Achahbar had handed in her resignation, Van Vroonhoven said "it looks like it, but we are going to look into it."

"The minister is expected to hand in her resignation later today [Friday] after unhappiness with incidents within the cabinet after the violence in Amsterdam involving the game between Ajax and Tel Aviv Maccabi," public broadcaster NOS said.

"Last Monday, during the cabinet meeting, things reportedly got heated, and in Achahbar’s opinion racist statements were made," it said.

"Achahbar reportedly indicated then that she, as a minister, had objections to certain language used by her colleagues," NOS added.

Other NSC cabinet members had not ruled out quitting, NOS said, citing unnamed sources.

Wilders’s Freedom Party won the most seats in Dutch elections a year ago, but the coalition it formed will lose its majority if the NSC, with its 20 seats in the 150-seat lower house, pulls out of the government.

The ruling coalition led by Schoof has 88 seats in parliament between the NSC, Wilders’ Freedom Party (PVV), the Liberal VVD and the farmer-friendly BBB party.

Neither Wilders nor Achahbar were available to comment as the cabinet meeting was ongoing on Friday afternoon.

After all that:
Dutch PM says deal reached to defuse government crisis after junior minister resigns

[IsraelTimes] A government crisis in the Netherlands has been avoided following a tense emergency meeting, as a cabinet member resigned over comments by the head of a hard-right coalition party about the assailants who attacked Maccabi Tel Aviv fans in Amsterdam last week.

Nora Achahbar unexpectedly quit on Friday as junior finance minister, triggering an emergency meeting in which other cabinet members of her centrist NSC party also threatened to quit.

But Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof later announces his cabinet has reached an agreement, resulting in only the resignation of Achahbar but not of others.

The Moroccan-born Achahbar quit the government after Geert Wilders blamed Moroccans for the violent attacks, saying “we saw Muslims hunting Jews” and added they were fueled by ”Moroccans who want to destroy Jews.” He said those convicted of involvement should be deported if they have dual nationality.

and the Tehran-backed terror group.

Strikes were seen hitting sites on several occasions in Beirut’s southern suburbs, a Hezbollah stronghold known as Dahiyeh after evacuation warnings were issued about half an hour before the attacks.

The IDF has carried out dozens of Arclight airstrike

s in Beirut in recent days.

During a strike on Friday in the Tayouneh area several miles from central Beirut, an News Agency that Dare Not be Named photographer captured images of what appeared to be an Israeli bomb heading toward an 11-story residential building just before the subsequent explosion. There were no immediate reports of casualties but the bomb hit a lower level of the building, turning much of it to rubble, after the IDF issued an evacuation order for the vicinity of the building, saying it was used by Hezbollah.

The IDF also continued to hit Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon. Overnight, the IDF struck several buildings and command centers belonging to Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh, the military said.

According to the IDF, the overnight strikes followed a day that saw 120 Hezbollah sites targeted in Lebanon, including weapon depots, command centers, cells of operatives and numerous rocket launchers. Some of the rocket launchers were used in an attack on Haifa on Thursday.

The strikes came as the IDF’s 36th, 91st and 146th divisions began operating in new areas of southern Lebanon. The military said the ground forces located Hezbollah rocket launchers and other weapons, as well as demolishing a tunnel during recent operations.

Separately, Israeli fighter jets hit several land crossing roads in Syria on Thursday night, which the IDF says were being used by Hezbollah to smuggle weapons into Lebanon from Iran. Several routes and border crossings between Lebanon and Syria have been struck by the IDF in recent weeks, amid efforts to counter Hezbollah’s weapon smuggling attempts.

HEZBOLLAH TARGETS HAIFA AREA
The Lebanese terror group kept up its rocket fire at Israel.
Of course. They’re deep into use it or lose it territory now.
A barrage of five rockets fired Friday by Hezbollah lightly maimed three foreign workers in their 40s in the Haifa area. Several of the rockets were intercepted, however, one fell at the construction site where they were working. The Magen David Adom ambulance service said all three were conscious and aware of their surroundings and were taken to Rambam Medical Center for treatment.

Earlier, rocket sirens were activated overnight in the northern coastal city of Nahariya and several nearby communities. There were no reports of injuries. Two rockets fired at the Haifa Bay area at around 7 a.m. were successfully intercepted, the IDF said. No injuries were reported in that attack.

As Gaza fighting continues, Hamas urges Trump to pressure Israel to end Gaza war; PIJ releases hostage video
[IsraelTimes] Security council to consider resolution calling for permanent ceasefire, release of all hostages; Israel sent formal response to US letter on Gaza aid issue

GAZA FIGHTING CONTINUES
Amid the ongoing fighting in the enclave, a recent Israeli airstrike in Gaza City killed several Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror operatives, the IDF said Friday. According to the military and Shin Bet, the airstrike killed Alkaman Abd as-Salam Khalil Anbar, who was responsible for Islamic Jihad’s rocket firing array in Gaza City. The IDF said Anbar was responsible for rocket attacks on Israel from Gaza City, as well as being a “significant figure” in the terror group’s weapons manufacturing processes.

Other Islamic Jihad members, involved in rocket fire on Israel and troops in Gaza, were killed in the strike, according to the military.

Meanwhile, the IDF said it was continuing to battle Hamas operatives during an operation in the Strip’s northern towns of Jabalia, Beit Lahiya, and Beit Hanoun. Troops with the 162nd Division also located numerous weapons during the operation, the military said.

The war in Gaza began on October 7, 2023, when thousands of Hamas

-led turbans invaded southern Israel from the enclave, killing some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking 251 hostages, amid acts of brutality and sexual assault.

The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says more than 42,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the fighting so far, though the toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel says it has killed some 18,000 combatants in battle as of November and another 1,000 turbans inside Israel on October 7.

Israel has said it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stresses that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas including homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques.

Israel’s toll in the ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza and in military operations along the border with the Strip stands at 375.

It is believed that 97 of the 251 hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 remain in Gaza, including the bodies of at least 34 confirmed dead by the IDF.

A senior Hamas official said Friday that the terror group is "ready for a ceasefire" in Gaza and urged US President-elect Donald Trump
...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down...
to "pressure" Israel to "end the aggression."
An amusing thought.
The comment came the same day Hamas ally Palestinian Islamic Jihad released a propaganda video of Israeli hostage Sasha Trufanov, and as the UN Security Council prepared to consider a resolution calling for a total ceasefire and the release of all hostages.

Speaking to AFP, Hamas political bureau member Bassem Naim said, “Hamas is ready to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip if a ceasefire proposal is presented and on the condition that it is respected” by Israel.

He added, “We call on the US administration and Trump to pressure the Israeli government to end the aggression.”
Are you sure you want to get President Trump involved? He tends to speak bluntly…
The Gaza terror group has said it will not accept any ceasefire deal that does not entail a complete and permanent Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and has previously rejected several ceasefire proposals that it deemed insufficient in that regard.
Yes, President Trump will definitely have thoughts on the subject. Ah well, y’all can think of it as a learning experience.

It is unclear when the video was made. In the clip, Trufanov says that he is aged 28; however, he turned 29 earlier this week, his second birthday in captivity.

In the nearly two-minute-long video, Trufanov — in a statement almost certainly dictated by his captors in the Gazoo Strip — asks Shas chairman Aryeh Deri to convince the government to agree to a deal for the hostages’ release, reminding him of the Jewish obligation to free all captives.

Terror groups have previously issued similar videos of hostages in what Israel says is deplorable psychological warfare. Most Israeli media did not carry the video clips.

Negotiations to free the hostages and reach a Gaza ceasefire have been at a virtual standstill for several months with no apparent horizon for a real resumption of talks.

UN TO CALL FOR CEASEFIRE
Nevertheless, the UN Security Council’s 10 elected members circulated another draft resolution demanding "an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire" in Gaza along with the "immediate and unconditional release of all hostages."

The Council’s 10 elected members — Ecuador, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...
, Algeria, Guyana, South Korea, Sierra Leone and Slovenia — circulated the draft after reaching the agreement. The United States, Israel’s closest ally, holds the key to whether the Security Council adopts the resolution. The four other permanent members — Russia, China, Britannia and La Belle France — are expected to support it or abstain.

In an interview with The Times of Israel last week, Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon criticized an earlier draft that has since been lightly edited in a bid to gain American support. The earlier draft split the two demands for a ceasefire and hostage release into separate paragraphs, which were merged into one in the updated version. That was enough to convince the US to abstain on a similar resolution adopted by the Security Council in March, which called for an immediate ceasefire during Ramadan.

In June, the Council adopted another resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire based on the parameters that were being negotiated by the US, Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
and Egypt, which envisioned a three-staged hostage release deal that would bring an end to the conflict between Israel and Hamas. But talks on this framework have all but fallen apart since then. The US and Egypt are still working to negotiate a hostage deal, and Washington is hoping that Qatar’s decision to ask Hamas officials to leave Doha will spark a breakthrough in negotiations. So far, though, none has come to fruition.

Accordingly, Security Council members are once again working on their own ceasefire resolution. Such initiatives have not made an impact on the ground in the past, but members hope that they will add pressure on the warring parties to end the conflict.

Danon told The Times of Israel last week that his office opposed the draft resolution because it doesn’t explicitly condition ending the war on the release of the hostages. The US argued in March that merging the two demands into the same sentence was enough for it to interpret the text as a conditional relationship between the ceasefire and the hostage release.

The draft also demands immediate access for Gaza’s civilian population to humanitarian aid and services essential for their survival. Additionally, it "underscores" that UNRWA, the UN agency helping Paleostinian refugees, "remains the backbone of the humanitarian response in Gaza."

The Knesset passed two laws last month effectively banning UNRWA’s operations in Israel and the Paleostinian territories, which take effect in 90 days. Jerusalem’s anger at the UN body has peaked since Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, in which dozens of UNRWA staffers were found to have participated, including kidnapping and killing Israelis. In February, the IDF revealed the existence of a subterranean Hamas data center directly beneath UNRWA’s Gaza Strip headquarters. The IDF has also repeatedly targeted Hamas command centers and button men hiding out in UNRWA schools.

The issue of humanitarian aid more broadly has been a frequent source of strain between Israel and the US. In a Thursday call between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken
...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm...
and new Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, Blinken asserted a need to expand aid into the enclave, after the US announced earlier this week that Israel made enough progress on the issue to remain in compliance with US law. Last month, the US gave Israel 30 days to take a series of steps to alleviate the Gaza humanitarian crisis in order to avoid violating US law, which bars the US from transferring offensive weapons to countries that block aid from civilians.

While Israel failed to meet several of the demands listed in the letter, the US appeared to give Jerusalem a pass after the administration saw its leverage dissipate due to Donald Trump
...The cad! Twice caught beating wimmin!...
’s election victory, given that the president-elect would have surely reversed any move to withhold weapons from Israel upon returning to the White House.

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan
…who will soon be unemployed…
revealed Friday that Israel has submitted a formal response to the letter. The response, which ostensibly laid out the steps Israel has taken and plans to take to address the issue, will likely be used by the Biden administration to adjudicate Israel’s compliance with US law moving forward.

Eight killed in stabbing attack at vocational college in eastern China

[Reuters] A former student went on a stabbing rampage at a vocational college in eastern China on Saturday, killing eight people and wounding 17 others, police said, adding it appeared the suspect was angry over not getting his graduation certificate and failing an exam.

The knife attack took place at the Wuxi Vocational College of Arts and Technology in Yixing, part of Wuxi city in the eastern province of Jiangsu. The suspect was apprehended at the scene and confessed to his actions, police added.

"According to preliminary investigations, the suspect, surname Xu - male, 21 years old, a 2024 graduate of the college - attacked others after failing an exam and not receiving his graduation certificate, as well as being dissatisfied with his internship compensation," a statement by the Yixing Public Security Bureau said.

It added that efforts were underway to treat the injured and investigate the case.

The incident came just days after a mass killing in the southern city of Zhuhai in which a driver rammed his car into a crowd at a sports centre, killing 35 people and severely injuring 43 in one of the deadliest attacks in contemporary Chinese history.

Pennsylvania Democrats openly admit to counting illegal ballots in McCormick-Casey race
[FoxNews] Ongoing disputes in the Senate race between declared winner Dave McCormick (R) and incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D) concern whether disqualified ballots should be counted

As the contested Pennsylvania Senate race barrels towards a $1 million recount, Democratic officials in a few blue counties are openly admitting to counting disqualified ballots in defiance of state law and court orders.

The Associated Press has called the race for Republican Sen.-elect Dave McCormick, who currently holds a 26,000 vote lead over incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey. But Casey has refused to concede and insisted that every vote be counted. The close margin – within one percentage point – triggered an automatic recount under Pennsylvania law.

Yet the critical question is which votes should be counted? The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled before the election that mail ballots lacking formally required signatures or dates should not be included in official results. However, Democratic officials in Philadelphia and surrounding Bucks, Centre and Montgomery counties are ignoring that court order.

"I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country," Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia, a Democrat, said Thursday as she and other Democrats voted to reject a GOP-led challenge to ballots that should be disqualified.

"People violate laws anytime they want. So, for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention. There’s nothing more important than counting votes."

Officials estimate there are fewer than 80,000 provisional ballots left to be counted across the Keystone State, less than two percent of the vote, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. While the chance that Casey could make up his deficit is small, his attorneys and McCormick's have repeatedly clashed at county commissioner meetings this week as local officials have debated over whether to count small handfuls of ballots.
Might not make a difference for the senators race, but very likely some local seats will change parties as a result.
Democrats insist they are acting in good faith in believing that rejecting someone's vote because of a clerical error violates their constitutional rights.

In Montgomery County, for example, officials deliberated for 30 minutes over whether about 180 provisional ballots without secrecy envelopes should be counted. The Inquirer reported that several of these votes came from the same precincts, suggesting an error made by poll workers.

Democratic board chair Neil Makhija voted to accept the ballots so that voters would not be disenfranchised. But other members of the board, including one Democrat and a Republican, voted to reject the ballots on the advice of county attorneys who determined the law clearly states they should not be counted.

"We’re talking about constitutional rights and I cannot take an action to throw out someone’s ballot that is validly cast, otherwise, over an issue that we know ... is immaterial," Makhija said during Thursday's meeting. The board ultimately voted to count a total of 501 contested ballots.

Similar disputes over hundreds of votes have played out in Bucks, Chester and Delaware Counties.

Separately, there is ongoing litigation over undated mail ballots or those submitted with an incorrect date on the outer envelope. Several local Democratic officials have said an incorrect date should not be grounds to disqualify a person's vote. Lower courts have agreed with that reasoning, but Pennsylvania's high court has determined the law requires correct dates for mail ballots to be counted.

The McCormick campaign and Republican National Committee have asked the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to reaffirm its Nov. 1 decision to stop Democrats from including undated mail ballots in their final tallies. The Casey campaign and the Pennsylvania Department of State have countered with legal motions arguing that the counties should be left alone and that the high court need not intervene as the challenges work their way through the appellate process.

The open defiance of court precedent has prompted Republicans to cry foul.

"Let’s be clear about what’s happening here: Democrats in Pennsylvania are brazenly trying to break the law by attempting to count illegal ballots. They are doing this because they want to steal a senate seat," Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley wrote on X.

He said the RNC has filed four lawsuits contesting county decisions on undated ballots and vowed to "fight for as long as necessary" to ensure that McCormick's victory is upheld.

"This is the exact kind of left-wing election interference that undermines voter confidence," Whatley said.

Democrats have defended their actions and pointed out that McCormick himself had argued to count contested ballots when he trailed celebrity heart surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz in the 2022 Republican primary for U.S. Senate.

In that case, McCormick’s lawyer told a state judge that the object of Pennsylvania’s election law is to let people vote, "not to play games of ‘gotcha’ with them."

There are potentially thousands of mail-in ballots with wrong or missing dates on the return envelope across the state, though most counties have not moved to count them.

A state-mandated recount must be finished by noon on Nov. 26. Officials have said they do not expect the process to change the outcome of the race by more than a few hundred votes.

Both McCormick and Casey were in Washington, D.C., this week. Casey participated in official Senate business and cast votes on the floor while McCormick attended new member orientation and met with other members of the new Republican majority to vote for conference leadership.

Deep State Creep John Brennan Has the Nerve to Question Tulsi Gabbard's Fitness for National Security Role (VIDEO)
[Real Clear Politics] JOHN BRENNAN: Clearly, Tulsi Gabbard has taken actions and made statements over the past several years that raise serious questions about her common sense, judgment, and political sympathies. Cozying up to Putin as well as to Bashar al-Assad shows she doesn't have the type of perspective needed for someone who is going to head up these 18 intelligence agencies.

As Tom Nichols said, she doesn't have any qualifications. The Director of National Intelligence is a serious and complex position that requires someone who actually understands the intelligence community. It’s like an orchestra conductor for all the different agencies and departments involved in the intelligence process. I don’t think she understands the instruments involved in this orchestra, nor has she had any experience at the strategic level of running and leading a large, complex organization.

The Director of National Intelligence is, according to legislation, the President’s principal intelligence adviser, responsible for ensuring the President’s daily brief is put together in a sound and forthright manner. This person also puts together the budget and sets the priorities for the intelligence community. This appointment is sending shockwaves not only in the United States but also around the globe. Is this really someone Donald Trump is going to entrust with the care and leadership of the intelligence community? An unserious pick for a serious position.

Defense Department fails seventh consecutive audit but says on path to pass by 2028
[JustTheNews] A breakdown of the audit found that 15 of the 28 standalone financial audits received a failing grade, while nine of them passed. One received an "acceptable" or "qualified" opinion, while the other three remain pending.

The Defense Department on Friday failed to pass the seventh consecutive audit of its finances, but said it is making progress in having a clean audit by 2028.

The Pentagon has never successfully passed the audit of its $824 billion budget since it was required in 2018, but the Marine Corps passed its own audit in February. A total of 1,700 auditors worked on the 2024 audit, which cost about $178 million.

A breakdown of the audit found that 15 of the 28 standalone financial audits received a failing grade, while nine of them passed. One received a "qualified" opinion, while the other three remain pending. The department as a whole received an "disclaimer of opinion," which means it did not provide enough financial information to form an opinion.

"Despite the disclaimer of opinion, which was expected, the Department has turned a corner in its understanding of the depth and breadth of its challenges," Pentagon Comptroller Michael McCord said in a statement. "Momentum is on our side, and throughout the Department there is strong commitment—and belief in our ability—to achieve an unmodified audit opinion.

"The path forward is clear," he continued. "Significant work remains and challenges lie ahead, but our annual audit continues to be a catalyst for Department-wide financial management reform, resulting in greater financial integrity, transparency, and better-supported warfighters."

McCord also noted that significant progress was made in five crucial areas, including addressing material weaknesses, improvements in system controls, “moving the needle” on physical assets, leadership engagement and use of data analytics, according to Stars and Stripes.

“This means that the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, the Air Force and [the Defense Information Systems Agency] have gotten their house in order on all their funding, or cash, as some people might think of it,” McCord said. “For context, the department has improved from less than 7% to over 82% of its funding being free of material weaknesses since I returned to this job (in June 2021).”

The comptroller added that he believes the 2028 goal of passing the audit is still achievable, but that the department would need to improve faster and stronger.

The Defense Department is the only Cabinet-level department to have consistently failed its annual audit.

Caribbean-Latin America
China megaport paves way into Latin America as wary US looks on
[BBC] As the world waits to see how the return of Donald Trump will reshape relations between Washington and Beijing, China has just taken decisive action to entrench its position in Latin America.

Trump won the US presidential election on a platform that promised tariffs as high as 60% on Chinese-made goods. Further south, though, a new China-backed megaport has the potential to create whole new trade routes that will bypass North America entirely.

President Xi Jinping himself attended the inauguration of the Chancay port on the Peruvian coast this week, an indication of just how seriously China takes the development.

Xi was in Peru for the annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation Forum (Apec). But all eyes were on Chancay and what it says about China's growing assertiveness in a region that the US has traditionally seen as its sphere of influence.

As seasoned observers see it, Washington is now paying the price for years of indifference towards its neighbours and their needs.

"The US has been absent from Latin America for so long, and China has moved in so rapidly, that things have really reconfigured in the past decade," says Monica de Bolle, senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington.

"You have got the backyard of America engaging directly with China," she tells the BBC. "That's going to be problematic."

Even before it opened, the $3.5bn (£2.75bn) project, masterminded by China's state-owned Cosco Shipping, had already turned a once-sleepy Peruvian fishing town into a logistical powerhouse set to transform the country's economy.

China's official Communist Party newspaper, the People's Daily, called it "a vindication of China-Peru win-win co-operation".

Peru's President Dina Boluarte was similarly enthusiastic, describing the megaport as a "nerve centre" that would provide "a point of connection to access the gigantic Asian market".

But the implications go far beyond the fortunes of one small Andean nation. Once Chancay is fully up and running, goods from Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and even Brazil are expected to pass through it on their way to Shanghai and other Asian ports.

China already has considerable appetite for the region's exports, including Brazilian soybeans and Chilean copper. Now this new port will be able to handle larger ships, as well as cutting shipping times from 35 to 23 days.

However, the new port will favour imports as well as exports. As signs grow that an influx of cheap Chinese goods bought online may be undermining domestic industry, Chile and Brazil have scrapped tax exemptions for individual customers on low-value foreign purchases.

As nervous US military hawks have pointed out, if Chancay can accommodate ultra-large container vessels, it can also handle Chinese warships.

The most strident warnings have come from Gen Laura Richardson, who has just retired as chief of US Southern Command, which covers Latin America and the Caribbean.

She has accused China of "playing the ‘long game’ with its development of dual-use sites and facilities throughout the region", adding that those sites could serve as "points of future multi-domain access for the [People's Liberation Army] and strategic naval chokepoints".

Even if that prospect never materialises, there is a strong perception that the US is losing ground in Latin America as China forges ahead with its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Outgoing US President Joe Biden was among the leaders at the Apec summit, on his first and last visit to South America during his four-year term. Media commentators remarked that he cut a diminished figure next to China's Xi.

Prof Álvaro Méndez, director of the Global South Unit at the London School of Economics, points out that while the US was taking Latin America for granted, Xi was visiting the region regularly and cultivating good relations.

"The bar has been set so low by the US that China only has to be a little bit better to get through the door," he says.

Of course, Latin America is not the only part of the world targeted by the BRI. Since 2023, China's unprecedented infrastructure splurge has pumped money into nearly 150 countries worldwide.

The results have not always been beneficial, with many projects left unfinished, while many developing countries that signed up for Beijing's largesse have found themselves burdened with debt as a result.

Even so, left-wing and right-wing governments alike have cast aside their initial suspicions of China, because "their interests are aligned" with those of Beijing, says the Peterson Institute's Ms de Bolle: "They have lowered their guard out of sheer necessity."

Government Corruption
Daughters of Malcolm X sue FBI, CIA and NYPD for $100M over 1965 assassination
[FoxNews] Malcolm X was killed Feb. 21, 1965, at the Audubon Ballroom in Upper Manhattan while speaking to several hundred people

The daughters of slain civil rights leader Malcolm X are suing the FBI, CIA and New York Police Department, accusing all three agencies of having roles in the 1965 assassination of their father.

The $100 million lawsuit, filed Friday in Manhattan federal court, claims the agencies were aware of and failed to stop the killing. Attorney Ben Crump, who represents the daughters and the Malcolm X estate, said the federal government and various agencies all conspired to kill the civil rights leader.

The lawsuit alleges there was a "corrupt, unlawful, and unconstitutional" relationship between law enforcement and "ruthless killers that went unchecked for many years and was actively concealed, condoned, protected, and facilitated by government agents," leading up to the murder of Malcolm X.

"The government's fingerprints are all over the assassination of Malcolm X," Crump said during a news conference. "We believe we have the evidence to prove it."

Malcolm X’s wife, Betty Shabazz, the plaintiffs "and their entire family have suffered the pain of the unknown" for decades, the lawsuit states.

"They did not know who murdered Malcolm X, why he was murdered, the level of NYPD, FBI and CIA orchestration, the identity of the governmental agents who conspired to ensure his demise, or who fraudulently covered-up their role," it states. "The damage caused to the Shabazz family is unimaginable, immense, and irreparable."

Attorneys also cited the killing of other Black leaders, such as the 1969 killing of Black Panther leader Fred Hampton by Chicago Police officers while he was asleep in a Chicago apartment and COINTELPRO, a series of covert FBI operations aimed at discrediting and disrupting political groups perceived as subversive.

Fox News Digital has reached out to the CIA. The FBI and NYPD told Fox News Digital the agencies don't comment on pending litigation.

Malcolm X, born Malcolm Little in Omaha, Nebraska, was killed Feb. 21, 1965, at the Audubon Ballroom in Upper Manhattan while speaking to several hundred people. He was shot 21 times. His wife and daughters were among those in the audience.

Three men were convicted of crimes in the death but two of them were exonerated in 2021 after investigators took a fresh look at the case and concluded some evidence was shaky and authorities had held back some information.

Mustafa Hassan, who said he was a part of Malcolm X’s security detail at the ballroom, said he tried to stop an armed man, later identified as Thomas Hagan, a.k.a. "Talmadge X Hayer," from fleeing.

Police officers intervened to stop Malcolm’s followers from beating Hayer. Hassan claimed he heard officers asking each other, "Is he with us?"

Malcolm X preached a more radical message than his contemporary, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. He gained prominence as a major voice of the Nation of Islam, advocating for Black people to claim their civil rights "by any means necessary."

He eventually split from the militant group, which branded him a traitor.

Arabia
Pentagon Shocked by Houthi 'Amazing' Arsenal
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Yemeni movement Ansar Allah (Houthis) is armed with the most modern weapons, including missiles that can shock. This opinion was expressed by US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Armament Support Bill LaPlante.

"I'm an engineer and a physicist, and I've dealt with missiles my entire career. What I've seen the Houthis do in the last six months is just shocking to me," Axios quotes him as saying.
I agree. Who wouda thunk a bunch of inbred 8th century illiterates could light a fuze and back away without catching their hair on fire? Aiming is clearly beyond them, but there are miracles beyond even Allah’s ability to bring to pass. Though given what IDF just did to Iran’s manufacturing capacity, the Houthis haven’t much longer to demonstrate their hair-burning talents. How much longer before the Persian Gulf is reopens for traffic, dear Reader?
In addition, as Laplante noted, the Houthis are becoming "scary."

These comments, as the portal notes, come against the backdrop of the fact that Ansar Allah, having acquired powerful arsenals, threatens virtually every ship passing the Yemeni coast, and both civilian and military vessels could come under attack.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, on November 12, the head of the Ansar Allah movement, Yahya Saria, announced a successful attack on the American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea. According to Yemeni media, the operation lasted eight hours. In addition to the aircraft carrier, the Houthis attacked two American destroyers in the Red Sea. Saria noted that the movement will continue to carry out such attacks until Israel ceases hostilities in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
They did attack. Not successfully, but they did attack.
On November 13, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder acknowledged that the Houthis had indeed carried out an attack on US Navy ships in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
That's very interesting and all, but I think the past year (and preceding years) has demonstrated that non-nuclear missiles don't win wars. They're harassment weapons. Actually winning takes combined arms: Infantry, armor, artillery, and now intelligently guided drones, backed by air and naval power as appropriate, and impeccable logistics Thinking on the part of the people running things helps. Generals should concentrate on how to best kill people and break things rather than on how many Polynesians made E4 in the last quarter.

#2  Nice thought but that isn’t in the cards. They have shot down 14 Reapers so far and motivated two destroyers to RTB before going Winchester. If the US brought naval assets to bear necessary to create serious pain it would simply provide an amalgamated target.

Europe
Police say 40 arrests made at tense France-Israel soccer match in Paris
[IsraelTimes] Police made 40 arrests at a tense soccer match between La Belle France and Israel in Gay Paree but the city’s police chief says on Friday that the huge security operation had "worked very well."

The Nations League game at the Stade de La Belle France on Thursday took place under intense security after fans of Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv were attacked in Amsterdam last week.

Around 4,000 police and members of the French security forces patrolled inside and outside the stadium, assisted by 1,600 civilian security personnel.

Stewards had to intervene at one point to stop fans of both nations from clashing in the stands, an AFP news hound saw.

Videos posted on the X social media platform showed fans, some with Israeli flags, running along the rows of seats at the stadium while other supporters whistled and booed before members of the security team separated them.

"A fight broke out which was immediately contained by the stewards," Gay Paree police chief Laurent Nunez told La Belle France 2 television.

"The match went very well from a security point of view."
"The beach at Anzio was very pleasant that year, except for the invasion."

UN Manager Claims WAR is the Only Way to Make Serious Cash, Says ''Lazy” Staff Were Rooting for Nikki Haley for U.S. President over Trump
[ProjectVeritas] Key Quotes from Gagan Vaseer, Program Management Officer, United Nations:
  • “The only way you make money in the UN is if you go to war… you get paid more.

  • “There’s a lot of lazy people. 90% [of United Nations employees] are squatting. I could point to people every single day in the building who don’t work.”

  • “Look at… what’s happening in the Middle East. They can’t figure it out because [the UN is] … a very archaic organization.”

  • "What is the UN? It’s an amorphous body of nothingness.”

A United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
manager of peacekeeping has just said the quiet part out loud: war is good for UN employees. Gagan Vaseer, UN Program Management Officer for innovation and peacekeeping, told a Project Veritas journalist that UN employees only rake in serious cash when wars are raging around the globe. To make things more interesting, he revealed that their preferred Presidential candidate was none other than Republican Warhawk Nikki Haley
...Trump administration's former ambassador to the UN. First woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, Haley was the youngest governor in the U.S., a distinction formerly held by Jindal. She is a Republican, which really grates on the Dems...
In a meeting with a Veritas investigative journalist, Vaseer pulls back the curtain on the UN’s supposed political neutrality, revealing that behind the scenes, employees favored Crooked Hillary Clinton
...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away. —and more recently, Nikki Haley—for President. According to Vaseer, the United Nations is firmly opposed to Donald Trump

’s presidency and doesn’t want him in office.

The United Nations (UN) was founded to maintain peace, foster friendly relations among nations, and promote global cooperation. But according to Vaseer, the UN is failing to deliver on these goals. He claims the organization is inefficient, outdated, and that ninety percent of its employees are "lazy" and "squatting" - collecting paychecks off the suffering of the world.paid more." - Gagan Vaseer, Program Management Officer, United Nations

He paints a picture of the United Nations headquarters in New York, where the majority of employees "don’t work," are never evaluated, and can’t be fired as they coast toward retirement. "They’re just taking up space," he says.

As wars continue to rage in the Middle East, Vaseer offers little hope for a UN peace solution, stating, "They can’t figure it out because [the UN is]... a very archaic organization."

Perhaps not coincidentally, Vaseer reveals that UN employees earn more during wartime, creating a perverse incentive for them to keep conflicts simmering rather than working to resolve them.

Established in 1945 in the wake of World War II, the formation of the UN was intended to correct the failures of the League of Nations, which had been powerless to prevent the war. However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried...
U.S. involvement in the UN has been contentious from the start. Alger Hiss, an American diplomat and key architect of the UN who also served as its first secretary-general, is infamous for being one of the most notorious American traitors in history—having betrayed the U.S. as a Soviet spy.

With over 190 member states and countless agencies, the UN is often criticized for being too large and fragmented to effectively solve global issues, such as conflict, poverty, and human rights

abuses.

Vaseer echoes this criticism describing the UN as "amorphous body of nothingness" that lacks clear purpose and fails to deliver on its promises.

This week, President-Elect Donald Trump appointed Congresswoman Elise Stefanik as the incoming U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. In an online statement, she declared, "I stand ready to advance President Donald J. Trump’s restoration of America First peace through strength leadership on the world stage on Day One at the United Nations."

However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried...
Vaseer told Project Veritas that the United Nations does not align with Trump’s America First agenda. It remains to be seen how the "lazy" employees at the UN will respond to a shift in U.S. leadership under Trump and Stefanik.

Other Islamic Jihad members, involved in rocket fire on Israel and troops in Gaza, were killed in the strike, according to the military.

CNN's shocking low ratings revealed as staff brace for mass layoffs
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Legacy media network, CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
, suffered its worst rating in a key demographic for the first time in a quarter of a century as employees fear more layoffs are coming.
Excellent business decision. Look how well it worked for K-Mart.
A critical demographic for network news channels are those aged 25 to 54, and on Tuesday - a week after the 2024 presidential election - CNN averaged 61,000 viewers in that range. It was the smallest of audience viewers in that demographic since June 27, 2000, when Bill Clinton
...former Democratic president of the U.S. Bill was the second U.S. president to be impeached, the first to deny that oral sex was sex, the first to have difficulty with the definition of the word is...
was in the White House.
Could there be a reason for that?
It also pulled in bad numbers for its daytime programming - shows that run between 9 am and 5 pm - with an average 60,000 viewers in the demographic on Tuesday.
I think mostly in hospital waiting rooms and airports...
This was the worst for a non-holiday week since 2014, according to Fox News.
And the reason is...?
Overall daily viewership for daytime programming sat at 403,000 for the liberal outlet, whereas its competitor and conservative outlet Fox News brought in around 2.2million.
So becoming less liberal and a wee bit more conservative might pull in a couple more viewers?
Primetime coverage - between 8 pm and 11 pm - also saw struggling viewership numbers with an average of 483,000 since Election Day. Fox News brought in 3.4 million, according to the network.
Ted Turner is probably turning over in his grave if he's dead yet.
CNN's Election Day coverage also waned compared to previous cycles, with a huge downfall in viewership as it fell below MSNBC for the first time since the company launched, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
If nobody's buying the junk you sell, try different junk.
CNN brought in 5.1million viewers, while MSNBC had 6.01million. Meanwhile,
...back at the barn, Bossy had come up with a new idea, one that didn't involve kerosene...
Fox News led with 10.32million, according to THR.
Slightly less mass by at least one:
On Monday evening, Chris Wallace, the veteran newsman, CNN anchor, and ultimate Washington establishmentarian, called the network’s talent chief Amy Entelis to inform her that he intended to leave at the end of his contract. Minutes later, to the consternation of his bosses and presumably their P.R. department, he gave a reporter at The Daily Beast the green light to publish a precooked exclusive about his departure. The piece asserted that the 77-year-old broadcaster was walking away from a seven-figure contract to find a new home in “streaming or podcasting,” which, as Wallace told the reporter, is “where the action seems to be.”

…The truth is always more nuanced, of course, though in some cases it’s also more simple.

…In Wallace’s case, CNN C.E.O. Mark Thompson was planning to cancel both of his shows: Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace, the weekly interview series that was originally supposed to air on CNN+ and now airs on Max—until Friday, when it will air its final episode—and the Saturday morning panel discussion program, The Chris Wallace Show. Instead, Thompson and Entelis intended to offer Wallace a new role as an analyst, which would have resulted in a significantly diminished compensation package and, presumably, far less air time.

…The most recent broadcast of The Chris Wallace Show drew 450,000 viewers and just 85,000 in the advertiser-coveted 25-to-54-year-old demo—an audience size at which it’s increasingly hard to justify most of the talent salaries at CNN.

The hate Americans first ‘fart cushion’ strikes a bakery. Video at link
[NYPost] NYC pols demand Whoopi Goldberg
…who became “Jewish” for business reasons, even though she can’t stand those people…
apologize for false Staten Island bakery slam — as store is flooded with orders

Staten Island leaders demanded Whoopi Goldberg apologize for falsely claiming a Big Apple bakery refused to serve her sweet treats because of her lefty politics — as the family-run business was inundated with orders.

"The View" co-host sparked widespread outrage this week when she alleged that the beloved 145-year-old Holtermann’s Bakery on Staten Island declined to make her a batch of Charlotte Russe desserts due to her political beliefs.

"Recently someone took to the national airwaves and defamed, frankly, this family business," borough president, Vito Fossella, fumed at a news conference held outside the bakery on Friday.

The bakery has insisted they were having mechanical issues with their 60-year-old boiler when Goldberg initially tried to place the Nov. 13 order so she could celebrate her 69th birthday on-air — and that her political beliefs had nothing to do with it.

The uproar unfolded when Goldberg first put the bakery on blast during Wednesday’s broadcast.

"Now, I should tell you, Charlotte Russe has no political leanings, and the place that made these refused to make them for me," the liberal-leaning host alleged to her audience, without divulging the name of the bakery.

"They said that their ovens had gone down, all kinds of stuff, but folks went and got them anyway, which is why I’m not telling you who made them."

Now, in the wake of Goldberg’s disparaging remarks, owner Jill Holtermann said they’ve been flooded with orders from across the country.

"I really am overwhelmed," Holtermann told The Post. "I’m so happy to have the support. Just to have people come out and talk and build up my business."

The owner said she’s had people calling up from as far as Alabama and Tennessee so they can donate orders of baked goods to nearby schools and first responders in a bid to drum up business.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Yogi Exonerated!
[MSN] Four Los Angeles-area residents were arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 13 on suspicion of insurance fraud and conspiracy after allegedly falsely claiming a bear got into their vehicles and damaged them.
BooBoo was not involved although the perpetrators made a big booboo.
There was no bear, rather, a person in a bear costume was seen in video footage provided with insurance claims.

Dubbed "Operation Bear Claw," the California Department of Insurance began an investigation after an insurance company suspected fraud when the suspects, residents of Glendale and Valley Village, in January reported a bear had gotten into their Rolls-Royce Ghost in Lake Arrowhead.
No pic-a-nic basket was found.
Video footage was provided to the insurance company. The footage was reviewed by investigators, who determined the video showed a person in a bear suit. A biologist from the California Department of Wildlife also reviewed the footage, concurring with investigators that the footage "was clearly a human in a bear suit," according to a news release from the Department of Insurance. After executing a search warrant, detectives found the bear costume in the home of the suspects.
Mr. Ranger vouched for Yogi's whereabouts.

Ben & Jerry's sues Unilever, accusing it of silencing pro-Palestinian stance on Gaza
I think that's a fine idea. Everyone should be reminded just what their overpriced product stands for. Unilever doesn't, naturally, since they make their living selling it.
[TIMESOFISRAEL] Ice cream brand Ben & Jerry's alleged in a lawsuit filed Wednesday that parent company Unilever has silenced its attempts to express support for Paleostinians in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
war, and threatened to dismantle its board and sue its members over the issue.

The lawsuit is the latest sign of the long-simmering tensions between Ben & Jerry's and consumer products maker Unilever. A rift erupted between the two in 2021 after Ben & Jerry's said it would stop selling its products in what it termed ''Occupied Paleostinian Territory'' because it was inconsistent with its values, a move that led some investors to divest Unilever shares.

The American ice cream maker then sued Unilever for selling its business in Israel to its licensee there, which allowed marketing in the West Bank and Israel to continue. That lawsuit was settled in 2022.

In its new lawsuit, Ben & Jerry's says that Unilever has breached the terms of the 2022 settlement, which has remained confidential. As part of the agreement, Unilever is required to ''respect and acknowledge the Ben & Jerry's independent board's primary responsibility over Ben & Jerry's social mission,'' according to the lawsuit.

''Ben & Jerry's has on four occasions attempted to publicly speak out in support of peace and human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
,'' according to the lawsuit. ''Unilever has silenced each of these efforts.''

Current information on the situation on the front line: November 15 (updated)
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[NewsFront] 21:00 Soldiers from the 114th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Guards Army of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a MaxxPro armored personnel carrier with ATGM.

19:56 The Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Commander-in-Chief Syrsky’s orders are very late, and the General Staff is busy “plugging holes” instead of developing a common strategy.

"One person cannot make all the decisions. When he goes to zero (to the front line - ed.) and commands one operational-strategic group of troops, everything else stops," Ukrainian officers said in a conversation with the publication "Babel".

18:58 Enemy reports: "in the Kurakhovo direction, Ukrainian troops retreated from the settlement of Dalnee. At the moment, the Ukrainian army is systematically retreating to Uspenovka in order to hold the flanks to the west of the Kurakhovo-Uspenovka road."

18:37 Russian Geran drones strike targets in Sumy

18:27 Advance of the Russian Armed Forces in Kupyansk –map.

18:15 Tankers of the "Center" group of forces evacuated a captured tank of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Krasnoarmeysk direction.

The evacuation of the combat vehicle took place in two stages. First, the tank crews conducted an engineering reconnaissance of the evacuation area and the approach route to the tank to ensure the safety of personnel and the equipment used. Then they towed the captured equipment to a safe area, where specialists inspected it and determined further actions.

17:52 Destruction of a camouflaged Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicle by a crew of an attack FPV drone of the North troop group in the border area of the Kursk region.

17:24 Assault units of the Russian Armed Forces have advanced significantly west of Selidovo.

17:10 During the performance of combat missions in the border areas of the Kursk region, the crews of the Su-35S multi-role fighters worked air cover in a given area of operations for bomber and attack aircraft, as well as army aviation helicopters, when carrying out air strikes against armored vehicles and personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

15:34 Situation near the Oskol River, Kupyansk sector of the front:

Assault operations by units of the 1st Tank Army of the Russian Armed Forces continue in the Kolesnikovka area. Over the past 24 hours, several more enemy strongholds in the greenery have been captured.

The enemy tried to counterattack a couple of times – unsuccessfully. The northern outskirts of Kolesnikovka are a conditionally “gray zone”. The main battles are taking place in the nearby forest belts.

13:56 Russian paratroopers' UAV crews destroyed Ukrainian Armed Forces communications repeaters and disrupted the control system of Ukrainian military units in the border areas of the Kursk region.

13:34 In the Boguslavsky direction of the Russian Armed Forces fought off an attack of the enemy south of Kruglyakovka, destroying an armored fighting vehicle and nine Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen.

In the same direction, Russian forces advanced into the settlement of Kopanki, occupying eight buildings. There is a high probability that the settlement will be completely liberated in the coming days.

13:10 Destruction of equipment and dugouts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by FPV drone crews from the Testing Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies of the Russian Ministry of Defense "Rubicon".

12:31 Artillery crews of the separate guards motorized rifle brigade of the "Southern" group of troops are landing precise strikes on military facilities, positions, fortifications, military equipment and manpower of Ukrainian formations in the Donetsk direction of the special military operation.

11:09 Confirmations are coming in from the field that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are leaving the village of Dalneye and are retreating with fighting towards Uspenovka, a large stronghold. Most of Dalneye is already in the hands of the Russian Armed Forces, but full control of the village has not yet been established.

Active clashes continue in the area. The Russian Armed Forces are also trying to gain a foothold in the northern part of Novaya Ilyinka."

10:50 122mm BM-21 Grad MLRS crews of the Northern Fleet naval infantry from the Dnepr troop group at any time of the day perform fire missions to destroy armored vehicles, fire weapons, ammunition depots and fortified positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the right bank of the Dnieper.

French court orders release of Lebanese terrorist who killed Israeli, US diplomats
[IsraelTimes] A French court on Friday ordered the release of pro-Paleostinian Lebanese terrorist Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, tossed in the clink
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
for 40 years for the 1982 killings of two foreign diplomats, prosecutors said.

The court said Abdallah, first detained in 1984 and convicted in 1987 over the murders, would be released on December 6 provided he leaves La Belle France, French anti-terror prosecutors said in a statement to AFP, adding that they would appeal.

"In (a) decision dated today, the court granted Georges Ibrahim Abdallah conditional release from December 6, subject to the condition that he leaves French territory and not appear there again," the prosecutors said.

But his release remains conditional on the outcome of the appeal by prosecutors, to be heard at a hearing on a date yet to be set.

Abdallah, a former member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine (PFLP), was sentenced to life in prison for his involvement in the murders of US military attaché Charles Robert Ray and Israeli diplomat Yacov Barsimantov.

Barsimantov’s killer, a woman wearing a white beret, fled into the Gay Paree subway after shooting him in the head in front of his wife and children at their apartment building. The diplomat was the second secretary for political affairs at the embassy.

Abdallah shot Ray, an assistant military attaché, outside Ray’s apartment building the same year.

Washington, a civil party to the case, has consistently opposed his release but Lebanese authorities have repeatedly said he should be freed from jail.

This was Abdallah’s 11th bid for release.

Abdallah, now 73, had been eligible to apply for parole since 1999 but all previous applications had been turned down, except in 2013 when he was granted release on the condition he was expelled from La Belle France.

However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
the then-interior minister Manuel Valls refused to go through with the order and Abdallah remained in jail.

The court’s decision on Friday is not conditional on the government issuing such an order, Abdallah’s lawyer, Jean-Louis Chalanset, told AFP, hailing "a legal and a political victory".

"It’s not surprising that the prosecution is appealing, since they want him to die in prison," he added.

One of La Belle France’s longest-serving inmates, Abdallah has never expressed regret for his actions, claiming he was a fighter" and not a "criminal"

Yes, but then in 1979 Mr. Abdallah moved from the PFLP to the equally Marxist-Leninist Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Faction (LARF), which he led until France arrested him in 1984.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
The Intifada Was Globalized in Amsterdam
[GATESTONEINSTITUTE.ORG]
by Alan M. Dershowitz and Andrew Stein
  • There is no moral or legal equivalence between non-violent mischief — such as tearing down flags and shouting racial insults — and committing life-threatening assaults upon people based on their religion and ethnicity. The anti-Israel rioters were hunting down Jews...

  • Muslim extremists have a long history of hurling spears in response to non-violent insults. Recall the numerous deadly attacks — shootings, stabbings, bombings and lethal fatwas—against those who allegedly insulted the prophet by picturing him or authoring books about him. There was also violence against those who burned Korans or otherwise demeaned Islam. Even cartoons provoked deadly responses.

  • The law in no Western nation grants the victims of non-violent insults the right to respond by violence. If a Jew were to physically assault the many Muslims who have repeatedly demeaned Judaism or its nation-state during recent protests, they would be appropriately punished, as some have been.

  • [W]e are likely to see more anti-Israeli and anti-Jewish pogroms in other parts of the world as antisemitism moves from the fringes to the mainstream.

  • Protestors — both pro- and anti-Israel — have the right to express their views verbally and even symbolically, but they have no right to attack individuals or groups based on religion, ethnicity or national origin. Those who engaged in physical assaults — and many were caught on video — must be prosecuted and, if convicted, imprisoned or deported. A clear line must be drawn between lawful, even if immoral, protests, and criminal violence.... It is a bright-line distinction that many in the media are deliberately trying to blur.

  • The U.S. has a stake in stopping this violence: the call to "globalize the intifada" is not limited to Europe. Those who advocate globalization are inciting violence against Americans of Jewish heritage. The incitement may be too general to be denied First Amendment protection against criminal punishment, but the single standard demands that universities apply the same standard to calls for intifada than they would to calls for lynching of blacks or assaulting of gays. The real difference is that no university student or faculty member would ever call for the latter, and if they did, they would be disciplined or expelled. Yet today it is entirely acceptable, indeed expected, that radical students will call for the lynching and assaulting of Jews and Israelis. That, after all, is what an intifada entails.

Report: Lebanese officer bars Iranian delegation from leaving the airport in sign of widening rift
[IsraelTimes] The Lebanese army’s head of security at Beirut’s airport directed his officers to search a security team that was accompanying Ali Larijani, a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International reports.

The Iranian team refused to be searched, citing diplomatic immunity, leading the airport security head to shut down all gates surrounding the VIP lounge where the Iranians were residing, preventing them from leaving the airport, according to the report.

The incident appears to point to growing frustration in Lebanon over Iran’s alleged meddling in its internal affairs through Tehran’s ongoing support for Hezbollah.

Whoopi Goldberg Throws Support Behind Anti-Trump Sex Strikes
[BREITBART] Whoopi Goldberg threw support behind calls for sex strikes — in response to President-elect Donald Trump's landslide victory in the 2024 election — during an unhinged rant on The View in which she lectured all men in America, telling them they're not going to ''get any'' if they speak out of line.
Question of the day: Who'd wanta hump Whoopi Goldberg?
''A lot of women are preparing themselves for the impact of the incoming administration which has led to this growing mantra from male right-wing incels: 'Your body, my choice,''' Goldberg said on The View, bizarrely suggesting that Trump's second administration is somehow an attack on women while also oddly lending authority to mere internet trolls seeking to rile people up on social media.

Trump's transition team aims to kill Biden EV tax credit
[Reuters] President-elect Donald Trump's transition team is planning to kill the $7,500 consumer tax credit for electric-vehicle purchases as part of broader tax-reform legislation, two sources with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

Ending the tax credit could have grave implications for an already stalling U.S. EV transition. And yet representatives of Tesla (TSLA.O) - by far the nation's biggest EV maker - have told a Trump-transition committee they support ending the subsidy, said the two sources, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, one of Trump's biggest backers and the world's richest person, said in July that killing the subsidy might slightly hurt Tesla sales but would be "devastating" to its U.S. EV competitors, which include legacy automakers such as General Motors (GM.N).

Shares of Tesla ended nearly 6% lower at $311.18, while shares of smaller EV rival Rivian (RIVN.O) closed down 14% at $10.31. Lucid (LCID.O), another EV maker, tumbled 5% to $2.08.

Repealing the subsidy, a signature measure of Democratic President Joe Biden's Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), is being discussed in meetings by an energy-policy transition team led by billionaire oilman Harold Hamm, founder of Continental Resources, and Republican North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, the two sources said.

The group has met several times since Trump's Nov. 5 election victory, including at his Florida Mar-a-Lago club, where Musk has also spent considerable time since the election.

[ColonelCassad] The Center for Countering Disinformation Shamefully Wipes Off the Posts of a Kremlin Agent

No longer a "Kremlin agent": The Center for Countering Disinformation of Ukraine under the National Security and Defense Council has deleted posts accusing current nominee for the post of US intelligence director Tulsi Gabbard of working for Moscow.
*Blink* I must have missed that when it happened. Oh well.
On April 6, 2022, the CCD claimed that Gabbard "works for the Kremlin's money" and that she "has been repeatedly accused of ties to Putin."

On November 9, 2023, the center wrote that Gabbard was manipulating, claiming that Zelensky "has taken control of the media, banned opposition parties and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church."

On February 16, 2023, the CCD said Gabbard "used to express pro-Russian rhetoric."

On June 25, 2024, the center wrote that Gabbard was trying to discredit Zelensky with statements about his "so-called illegitimacy."

This morning, all four posts were deleted.

Weaklings and wimps. You should have stood your ground!

#1  Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz said that Tulsi Gabbard, Donald Trump’s controversial pick for director of national intelligence, “is likely a Russian asset.”
Asked in a Friday MSNBC appearance about Gabbard’s prospective nomination to a position that would come with extensive access to classified information, the Florida Democrat did not mince words.
“Tulsi Gabbard is someone who has met with war criminals, violated the Department of State’s guidance and secretly, clandestinely went to Syria and met with [Syrian President Bashar al-]Assad, who gassed and attacked his own people with chemical weapons,” she said. “She’s considered to be, essentially, by most assessments, a Russian asset.”
Pressed on her own view of Gabbard, Wasserman Schultz doubled down. “I consider her someone who is likely a Russian asset,” the congresswomen said.

Pro-Palestinian vandals invade home of University of Washington president, carve Hamas symbols
[JPost] You tolerate this shit, you suffer the consequences
“Free Palestine” and “blood on your hands” were spray painted onto University of Washington President Ana Mari Cauce's property.

Pro-Palestinian vandals invaded the home of University of Washington President Ana Mari Cauce, on Thursday, damaging her car and leaving pro-Hamas symbols, the university confirmed in a statement.

University spokesperson Victor Balta said in an email Thursday evening that “several masked perpetrators” invaded Cauce’s home, where they slashed the tires to her car and painted “pro-Hamas symbols” across multiple surfaces. IAF hit secret Iranian nuclear research facility during October operation - report
[Jpost] The Israel Air Force allegedly struck one of Iran's secret nuclear research facilities as part of an operation that took place at the end of October, according to a Friday Axios report that cited former and current US and Israeli officials.

According to the report, the attack caused significant damage to the site in the Parchin military complex, about 20 kilometers southeast of Tehran.

The strike dealt a severe blow to Iran’s nuclear development efforts, the officials cited in the report claimed.

The facility was allegedly part of the Iranian Amad nuclear weapons program until 2003. It was then used for testing explosives needed to set off a nuclear device, the report added, citing the Institute for Science and International Security.

IRAN DECLINES TO COMMENT
Axios also noted that a former Israeli official briefed on the strike said Israel destroyed sophisticated equipment that was required and necessary for the nuclear devices.

Fifth Column
Trump to universities: Stamp out antisemitism or lose accreditation
[Jpost] Trump added that any colleges that permit antisemitic violence will be seen as violating the Civil Rights Law.

All American universities must end campus antisemitism or they will lose accreditation, President-elect Donald Trump promised during a rally against antisemitism in Washington.

To “defeat antisemitism and defend Jewish citizens in America,” Trump said he would inform every college president that if they do not “end antisemitic propaganda,” they would lose accreditation and federal support.

“We will not subsidize the creation of terrorist sympathizers, and we’re not going to do it – certainly on American soil,” he said.

Trump added that once in the Oval Office, he would inform all educational institutions that if they permit violence or harassment against Jewish students, they will be “held accountable for violations of the civil rights law.”

“It’s very important – Jewish Americans must have equal protection under the law, and they’re going to get it,” he said. “At the same time, my administration will move swiftly to restore safety for Jewish students and Jewish people on American streets.”

TRUMP'S ACTIONS TO COMBAT ANTISEMITISM
In his first term as US president, Trump issued an executive order on combating antisemitism by adding Jews to the list of protected minority groups under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.

He has also offered Rep. Elise Stefanik, the Republican representing New York’s 21st district, the position of US ambassador to the UN. Stefanik has been one of the leading lawmakers against US campus antisemitism.

[X] Concrete steps like this will start persuading some anti-Trump voters that while he is the new Hitler, he’s actually doing [whatever one thing it is] right.

#1  While I agree, we need to stamp out antisemitism.

We must also keep in mind the LEFT could "STAGE" massive fake antisemitic events on Conservative Colleges campuses to place them on such an accreditation hit list.

Because, we have clearly seen that the Fed's have their own 5th column of Left Wing (D) / antisemitic staff.

#2  Antisemitism is (as always) just a symptom. IMO, 90% of these kids should NOT be in college.

p.s. Faculty who abolish math courses because "African-Americans"/Latinx "can't handle them" - should be burned alive.

#3  We must also keep in mind the LEFT could "STAGE" massive fake antisemitic events on Conservative Colleges campuses

They stage them on Progressive campuses now, NN2N1. The problem is that Progressive university administrations let it happen, allowing their Jewish an Zionist students and faculty to be harassed verbally and physically instead of calling in the police to arrest them all, then expelling the students who partake in the LARPing. That won’t be a problem on conservative campuses.

#4  The Left has spent decades baking antisemitism into the system. It's going to very difficult and painful for the universities to comply.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Three Activists Charged with Burning Cross KKK Hoax to Benefit Black Mayoral Candidate
[NATIONALREVIEW] Local news outlets in Colorado Springs received a shocking email in late April of last year: A photo and video of a burning cross and a campaign sign of mayoral candidate Yemi Mobolade, a native of Nigeria, defaced with the N-word in red spray paint.

''What has this city come to?!'' read the email, signed only by ''Citizens of Colorado Springs.'' This, according to the email, was ''another one of their tactics to keep Yemi out.''

The writer then opined on who was likely behind the racist message: supporters of Mobolade's opponent, center-right Republican Wayne Williams. ''Candidate Wayne Williams is pushing hard to win this candidacy and I'm completely appalled by how his following and members are carrying out this nonsense.''

Local TV news ran with the story the next day. ''Some of the video in this story may be difficult to watch,'' one anchor warned viewers.

''What's going on in Colorado Springs?'' asked a Rocky Mountain NAACP front man. ''Why is an African American who is running for mayor receiving these types of threats. It's 2023.''

The Colorado Springs NAACP president said she viewed the racist messaging as an attempt to intimidate voters. ''We don't take this as a hoax,'' she told a local Fox news hound.

It was a hoax, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, which charged three local activists this week with using instruments of interstate commerce to convey false information and ''to intimidate someone by means of fire,'' according to charging documents.

This latest alleged hate-crime hoax was perpetrated just four years after former Empire star Jussie Smollett

...Cable TV actor whose primary talents seemed to be being black and being homosexual. In a bid for national attention, he paid a pair of Nigerian brothers to rough him up a little so he could claim that two large, white, MAGA hat-wearing men had shouted This is MAGA country! while thumping him at 2:30am on a bitter cold night in Chicago and throwing bleach on him, presumably to lighten him up. The story quickly unraveled, and he became a laughingstock and the poster boy for pretend victimization and attention whoredom...

famously staged a hate crime against himself, claiming in January 2019 that he was attacked by two men in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
who used racist and homophobic slurs and declared the deep-blue Windy City to be ''MAGA country.''

In mid-August, a Denver mom filed a lawsuit against the city's school board and two activists after one of the activists falsely accused her of calling him a ''dumb n*****'' at a board meeting and tried to get the police to file criminal charges against her.

In Colorado Springs, Derrick Bernard Jr. (aka Phoenixx Ugrilla), 35; Ashley Danielle Blackcloud, 40; and Deanna Crystal West (aka Vital Sweetz and Sage West), 38, are accused of conspiring to stage the phony hate crime and then alerting the media to prop up Mobolade's ultimately successful campaign. Bernard, who communicated with Mobolade several times before and after the election, also seemed to expect to benefit from the effort, texting Blackcloud on the day of the runoff election to apply for a city job because, he wrote, ''I want favors quicker than later.''

According to the indictment, Bernard, Blackcloud, and West were all affiliated with a nonprofit multi-media outlet, Family Flavors the Slide World Broadcast Network, which is dedicated to ''Activism, Community, & FAMILY!!'' according to an online profile.

The indictment indicates that Bernard hatched the plan to stage the hoax hate crime the day after the April 4, 2023 mayoral election, which sent Mobolade and Williams to a runoff. He texted Blackcloud, saying he wanted to talk ''in person'' and that ''Ima just talk to you bout a few plans.''

He would later tell Blackcloud in Facebook messages that Mobolade ''really won already'' and that the runoff was only being held ''bc they ain't tryna let an African win.''

''I can't let the klan retake the city,'' he wrote, according to the indictment.

In mid-April, Bernard also sent Mobolade a Facebook message: ''I know it's crunch time sir but look — I spoke with some of my friends in other places and theirs [sic] a plot amidst — I'm mobilizing my squadron in defense and for the final push. Black ops style big brother. The klan cannot be allowed to run this city again.''

Between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on April 23, 2023, Bernard, Blackcloud, and West worked together to deface the campaign sign with red spray paint, set the cross on fire, and film it on an iPhone 13, according to the indictment. Authorities later found a red spray paint can in the passenger compartment of Blackcloud's car, the indictment says.

Around 7:30 p.m. that night, Bernard texted Mobolade ''I guarantee the finish.'' A little over an hour later, Blackcloud and West drove to the parking lot of a large retail store, used the store's wi-fi, and created a new Gmail account. That account was then used to email a photo and video of the defaced sign and burning cross to local media, nonprofits, government officials, Mobolade's campaign, and to their own media group.

At about 10:55 p.m. that night, Bernard spoke with Mobolade on the phone for about five minutes, according to the indictment.

In a statement at the time to local media, Mobolade said he didn't know if the images were real or ''staged/created.'' ''Either way, it's reprehensible.''

On May 16, 2023, Mobolade, a businessman, pastor, and political independent, won the election with 57 percent of the vote, routing Williams, a city councilman and former secretary of state. Bernard texted him that day, congratulating him, adding that ''we got you through it all brother'' and ''Another time though, we'll handle business.''

In a prepared statement to National Review, Mobolade denied knowledge or involvement in the alleged crime.

British fighter jets escort Russian Tu-142 over North Sea
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The British Air Force scrambled two Eurofighter Typhoon fighters to escort a Russian Tu-142 anti-submarine aircraft flying over the North Sea near the UK’s airspace. This was reported on November 15 by the Daily Mail newspaper, citing data from the Ministry of Defence.

"Two Typhoon fighter jets from Lossiemouth in Scotland followed a Russian Tu-142 maritime surveillance aircraft, known as the Bear-F in NATO countries, as it flew over the North Sea yesterday," the publication said.

The publication added that several days earlier, the British navy had noticed Russian naval ships passing through the English Channel. According to the UK Ministry of Defence, this is the second time in the last three months that Russian ships and aircraft have been spotted near the island nation within a week.

The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet commented on this information. Previously, the department has repeatedly stated that all flights of Russian army aircraft are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on November 12, the multipurpose frigate Admiral Golovko, a carrier of hypersonic anti-ship missiles Zircon, conducted exercises in the English Channel. The crew practiced air defense and anti-submarine defense, rescue operations using deck aviation, avoiding dangerous targets, and anti-terrorist actions.

In September, the German Air Force scrambled a Eurofighter Typhoon to escort a Russian Tu-142 and its Su-30 fighter jet. Germany claimed that the Russian Aerospace Forces planes allegedly flew without warning or transponder signals.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Archives on Nazi accomplices' cruelty in Kherson during WWII released
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The FSB Directorate of Russia for the Kherson region, together with the Archives Department of the Governor's Administration and the regional government, have released archival materials on police brutality in the region during the Great Patriotic War. The historical documents were shown on Friday, November 15, by the Kherson News Agency.

The published records include interrogation protocols of the region's residents after its liberation in the spring of 1944, as well as their statements to the state commission for the investigation of the crimes of the Nazi invaders.

Thus, a resident of Verkhniye Serogozy, Tatyana Krivtsova, wrote that her husband was arrested by the occupation administration and sent to a camp in Simferopol, where he was subjected to abuse. Soon he was sent to Sevastopol for hard labor, where he was tortured and poorly fed. The woman never learned the subsequent fate of her husband, but believed that he was killed by the Nazis.

Another statement was then written by Ksenia Kurakova, the wife of Dmitry Kurakov, who was a partisan in Nizhnie Serogozy. According to her information, the police appointed by the Germans arrested the man in May 1942 and placed him under arrest in Nizhnie Serogozy. There he was beaten so much that he could not walk on his own. Then he was sent to Genichesk, where on June 11, 1942, Ksenia was able to meet him. The next day, Kurakov died.

"The head of the gendarmerie told me: 'Your husband is a partisan, hide your family.' In all likelihood, the Nazi henchmen killed him and took my husband away from me," the woman noted.

As reported by the Regnum news agency on November 1, the FSB published archival documents on the identification and capture of Ukrainian nationalist, SS man and punisher Vasily Malazhensky, who was a member of the OUN (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists - a terrorist organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) and operated in Volyn and Yugoslavia. The special service cited excerpts from a report that was received in December 1967 by the head of the Investigative Department of the KGB under the Council of Ministers of the USSR as part of the investigation of the crimes of Ukrainian punishers. It states that in the summer of 1943, Malazhensky, together with the gang of another punisher Bily, took part in an attack on the villages of Gurov and Vyhranka in the Ivanychiv district of the Volyn region, where Poles lived, on July 11, 1943. At that time, the criminals shot more than 100 civilians and plundered their property.

Malazhensky then voluntarily joined the Ukrainian punitive battalion that was part of the Wehrmacht. He took part in suppressing the anti-fascist uprising in Warsaw. After that, he took part in punitive operations against the partisans of Yugoslavia and military actions as part of the 14th SS Volunteer Grenadier Division "Galicia" against units of the Red Army in Austria.

The KGB learned of Malazhensky's crimes in January 1967. That same year, Poland handed over investigative materials incriminating him in the crimes he had committed. The Lviv Regional Court heard the criminal case against the Nazi on December 8–15, 1967. He was sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment (the first five years of which were in prison).

As reported by the Regnum news agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 27, at the opening ceremony of a memorial in memory of the civilians of the USSR who were victims of the Nazi genocide during the Great Patriotic War, said that Russia would make every effort to completely exterminate Nazism. There is no statute of limitations on Nazi crimes. Each one will be investigated.

Court fines man who burned toys at Crocus terror attack memorial
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] A Muscovite who set fire to toys at a memorial to the victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in the Desyonovskoye settlement in New Moscow in April has been sentenced to a fine. The decision was made by the Shcherbinsky Court of Moscow at a hearing on November 15.

“The court believes that the objectives of the punishment will be achieved by imposing a penalty in the form of a fine,” the court’s decision says.

The court found that the man set fire to the memorial during a night walk with his dog on April 5. Seeing the stuffed toys left by people in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack, piled next to the stone memorial to soldiers who took part in local conflicts, he took out a lighter and set them on fire.

At the time of the arson, the Muscovite was in a state of alcoholic intoxication. According to the case materials, the man thought that a fire should supposedly burn at the memorial in memory of the victims.

He failed to set the objects on fire right away. When one of the toys caught fire, he put it in the general mass, and then the neighboring ones caught fire. He did not watch them burn, but continued walking the dog.

The stone was damaged in the form of soot and smoke. Cleaning service employees spent two hours removing the dirt.

As the judge noted, the arsonist led an immoral lifestyle due to systematic alcohol consumption.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, the terrorist attack in Crocus took place on the evening of March 22. A group of terrorists burst into the concert hall filled with people, opened fire, and then started a fire. As a result of the terrorist attack, 144 people were killed and 551 were injured. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened several criminal cases, including under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist attack"), under which 12 people were arrested.

In a number of Russian cities, people organized spontaneous memorials of flowers, toys, and lit candles in memory of the victims. One of these memorials appeared in New Moscow. On the night of April 5, a fire broke out there, the toys burned, and the stone was covered in heavy soot. Commenting on this event, Regnum editor-in-chief Marina Akhmedova said that burning the memory of the victims is more than vandalism.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 243.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Destruction or damage of military burial sites, as well as monuments"). On April 8, police detained a suspect in the arson - a 49-year-old Muscovite.

Caspian Flotilla to be Reinforced with Ships with New Weapon System
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Ships with a new weapons system will be included in the Caspian Flotilla, taking into account the exclusion of any threats from maritime directions. This was stated on November 15 by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Alexander Moiseyev, in his congratulations on Caspian Flotilla Day.

"Today, the Caspian Flotilla's combat strength includes the latest ships equipped with high-precision weapons and support vessels. They effectively solve problems of any complexity. In the near term, the Caspian Flotilla will continue to be equipped with new ships and new weapons systems," Moiseyev said.

He noted that the renewal of the flotilla will allow the Navy to perform its functions at the proper level. In addition, the flotilla will also acquire a comprehensive and self-sufficient basing system. The development of coastal infrastructure is also in the plans, the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy added.

“The aviation and coastal components of the flotilla will also continue to develop, taking into account the exclusion of any threats from sea directions,” Moiseyev emphasized.

At the same time, the admiral noted that the history of the flotilla’s creation is inextricably linked with “significant achievements for the benefit of the Fatherland.”

In 1696, the Boyar Duma issued a decree "There shall be sea vessels." In November 1722, a military flotilla and a military port were created in Astrakhan to protect the Caspian Sea coast, Moiseyev recalled.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on July 28, congratulating the Russian military on Navy Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the important role of sailors and officers in achieving the goals of the special operation. Russian sailors are fighting bravely, defending Sevastopol and other Black Sea and Azov ports. During the special operation, more than 30 thousand Russian sailors and officers were awarded high state awards, the president said.

The head of state also announced the final stage of development of a number of medium- and shorter-range strike systems, including those that enhance the capabilities of the Russian Navy's coastal forces.

On July 30, the Russian Navy began scheduled exercises to use the forces of the Baltic, Northern, Pacific fleets and the Caspian flotilla. The combat training involved about 300 surface ships and boats, submarines and support vessels, up to 50 aircraft, more than 200 units of military and special equipment, over 20 thousand military and civilian personnel of units and formations.

The crews of ships, naval aviation units and coastal troops of three fleets and the Caspian Flotilla completed over 300 combat exercises with the practical use of weapons in just a few days.

International-UN-NGOs
Zone of Silence: The UN Decided to 'Forget' About Murdered Russian Journalists
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Andrey Zvorykin

[Regnum] On average, a journalist is killed or goes missing around the world every four days. A total of 162 media workers were killed in 2022–2023 worldwide. This is almost 40% more than in 2020–2021. These figures are presented in a recently published draft report by UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay.

The head of the UN structure is going to present this document in the middle of next week. Then the council of the "International Program for the Development of Communication" (a specialized UNESCO project, which is supposed to support the press around the world) will meet in Paris.

A quick glance at Azoulay's report suggests that the international organization under the auspices of the UN is taking the issue head-on. It emphasizes that the impunity of those responsible for the deaths of unarmed journalists is giving rise to new violence.

And as UN Secretary-General António Guterres has repeatedly noted, about 90% of journalist murders go unpunished. From 2006 to 2024, more than 1,700 press workers were killed worldwide, which means a global threat to freedom of speech and people's right to access information.

But when you begin to take a closer look at Audrey Azoulay's report, compiled on the basis of data from Western and pro-Western non-governmental organizations, questions begin to arise: is UNESCO's own approach objective and is there not selectivity in the selection of information?
An interesting question. It’s the UN — what are the odds?
Thus, it is claimed that in 2022, the year the CBO began, the highest death toll among journalists was recorded in Latin America and the Caribbean (61 people), with Arab countries in second place (35 people). Journalists from Haiti, Pakistan, Honduras and Bangladesh are mentioned as having died. The report for the previous year, 2023, includes media workers from Mexico, Guatemala, etc. It is possible that both the collected figures and the statistics by country are close to reality.

But Russia and Russian reporters, we emphasize, are not mentioned even once. It turns out, if we believe the UNESCO report, in 2022-2023 not a single domestic war correspondent, investigator or journalist died.

But it was in 2022 that journalist and political scientist Daria Dugina was killed in a terrorist attack, behind which stood the Kiev regime. A few months later, producer and journalist Oleg Klokov died when the VSSU shelled a civilian crossing over the Dnieper in Kherson.

In the spring of 2023, war correspondent and writer Maxim Fomin (Vladlen Tatarsky) was blown up in St. Petersburg. And in this case, just as in the case of Dugina's murder, the terrorist was " led " by the SBU. The head of the Ukrainian special service, Vasily Malyuk, actually did not hide his department's involvement in the crime.

In July 2023, in the same Zaporizhia region, during the shelling of the village of Pyatikhatki with Ukrainian cluster munitions, RIA Novosti war correspondent Rostislav Zhuravlev was seriously wounded. The journalist soon died from his wounds.

A year ago, a correspondent for the Russia 24 TV channel, Boris Maksudov, was killed on the front line in the Zaporizhia region. Moreover, we are not talking about an accidental death during shelling or combat; the “arrival” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack drones was targeted, precisely at the point where the unarmed target, the Russian film crew, was located.

We have mentioned colleagues whose deaths received the greatest media resonance. In total, more than thirty Russian journalists have died due to the fault of the Kyiv regime.

The sad list continues to grow. At the end of April this year, Izvestia war correspondent Semyon Eremin died while on duty in the Zaporizhia region. While filming a report, the journalist was fatally wounded as a result of an attack by a Ukrainian FPV drone. Semyon Eremin was 42 years old, and shortly before his death, he had a daughter.

The death of the Izvestia war correspondent does not fit into the time frame of Audrey Azoulay's report - 2022-2023. But you won't find the names of Dugina, Maksudov or Fomin on these pages either.

True, the director of UNESCO expressed condolences in connection with the death of Rostislav Zhuravlev, but this employee of the Russian news agency, a native of Yekaterinburg, for some reason was included in the list of deceased representatives of the Ukrainian media.

How can one explain such “blindness” or, to put it mildly, selective attention of an international humanitarian organization?

It has become known how Izvestia correspondent Semyon Eremin died
According to a statement from the UN's New York office, Moscow allegedly "does not provide access" to confirm information about the murders of Russian media employees. This assertion was made on November 14 by the Chairman of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Renaud de Villaine.

This is a lie, the very same distortion and concealment of information that the head of UNESCO declares the fight against in his report.

Note that this report itself refutes Mr. de Villena's statement. On page 10 it states: when the office of UN Secretary General Guterres submitted requests to the Russian leadership for information about the deaths of seven Russian journalists, in all cases Moscow responded and informed.

On the other hand, the Russian side dutifully submitted to UNESCO all documents with requests for disclosure of information about the death of our journalists. But all these attempts were demonstratively ignored by the secretariat of Madame Azoulay.

So on November 21–22, when the UNESCO report is presented in Paris, the thirty Russian journalists who died in the conflict zone will again be demonstratively “forgotten.”

This is despite the fact that in previous similar UNESCO reports, the death of any journalist for any reason was taken extremely seriously, even to the point of demanding investigations into accidental deaths in domestic fights.

The principle of "I see it here, but I don't see it there" applies not only to Russia. The Azoulay report estimates the number of Arab journalists killed as a result of Israeli strikes on Palestine at 24, which is clearly an underestimate.

According to available public data, at least 97 employees of Palestinian publications and television channels fell victim to these attacks.

This hushing up of some data to the detriment of others becomes especially hypocritical if we consider that Israel is not a member state of UNESCO, unlike Russia, which regularly pays membership fees to the organization. And, accordingly, Israel, unlike Russia, has not responded to a single request from the organization related to the deaths of journalists on its territory.

The fact that the head deliberately did not include (and did not “accidentally forget”) the mention of Russian journalists in her report means that Ms. Azoulay and the entire UNESCO leadership violated the basic principle of impartiality and equidistance. This principle, we recall, is spelled out in paragraph 5 of Article VI of the UNESCO Charter. But the current leadership of the UN structure has clearly decided to play along with the Kiev regime, or rather its Western patrons.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have repeatedly carried out targeted attacks on Russian journalists. President Vladimir Putin also drew attention to this. The First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, pointed out that the Kiev regime openly boasts that it is involved in the murders of Russian journalists.

One of the conclusions at the end of Aubrey Azoulay's report is: " The rise in killings in countries experiencing conflict is alarming, as these threats against journalists can turn conflict areas into 'zones of silence', creating an information vacuum for local populations and the world at large."

The authors obviously forgot to point out that their own actions are also aimed at achieving the same goal - to create "zones of silence", which the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics have long since become for the Western world, which Odessa was and still is for the world on May 2, 2014, and which the Kursk and Belgorod regions are now for the world.

The fact that the leadership of an “unbiased and equidistant” international structure is constructing a biased and advantageous information picture for the West is no longer surprising – neither Russia nor other countries for whom the globalist “order”, supposedly “based on rules”, is unacceptable. Organizations that were once created for the sake of building a fair world order have long ceased to be such; there is no longer any room for objectivity in them, and therefore hope remains only in one’s own strength.

Kursk imam on banning niqabs: we in Russia walk around with uncovered faces
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Marina Akhmedova

[REGNUM] The head of the Kursk Muslim community, Imam Isa Salimsultanov, told the editor-in-chief of the Regnum news agency, Marina Akhmedova, how in the first days of the invasion, the Ukrainian Armed Forces met militants dressed in Russian uniforms, how he is moving towards his goal of loving the Motherland even more, and why he advocates for a ban on niqabs.

— Isa, when the Ukrainian Armed Forces invaded the Kursk region in August, you were one of the first to rush to help civilians. How did you learn about the offensive? How did you understand that it was large-scale?

— My main activity is related to the spiritual and moral care of Muslims in the Kursk region. We also visited soldiers, border guards and conscripts who profess Islam. Therefore, we learned about the invasion first-hand — from the military.

On the night of August 6, there were reports that worried everyone. But we still did not understand the scale of what had happened. The media first wrote about 25 armed militants, then that there were 200. There had been attempts at invasion before, but they had been stopped immediately. But then no one understood what was happening. So I decided to go there to understand.

When we arrived at the scene, we saw shelled settlements and refugees. Only then did we understand the seriousness of the situation.

— When you arrived and realized that large-scale military operations were taking place, did you not feel the desire to flee from there as quickly as possible?

- It didn't arise because I wanted to know what was going on. I met our military several times that day, but they couldn't really explain anything.

At some point I reached a populated area where there was not a single living soul - only abandoned and shot-up cars. I drove a little further and saw a store from which soldiers in Russian uniforms were coming out. I got out of the car and approached them.

We said hello. I asked what was going on. They said everything was under control, and then asked who I was. I said, "My name is Isa, I am an imam and a representative of the Kursk Muslim community. People are calling me and asking what's going on here. So I came to take a look."

They demanded to see my documents. This is normal for the military, I showed them my license. Then they asked to show me the keys to my Range Rover. At this point I started to worry. I asked: "Why do you need them?" And at that moment one of the soldiers started talking to another in Ukrainian.

— What did you feel at that moment?

- It's hard to say. I wondered why they speak Ukrainian.

— So you didn’t immediately realize that they were VSSU officers?

— No. It was a split-second situation. Everything became clear later, when one officer said to another: "Maybe I should shoot him in the leg?" and pointed a gun at me — a regular Russian Kalashnikov assault rifle. They took my keys, threw them in the grass, and told me not to go get them. They went around the corner, got into their pickup truck, and drove away.

I found the keys, got into the car, drove to the next street and saw two women with bags in their hands. They were in a complete panic. I asked: "Are you okay? Where are you going?" They said: "We need to go to Kursk." I took them with me, left the village and went to Lyubimovka.

In Lyubimovka I met special forces from Akhmat, whom I had known before. Among them were wounded. Only then did I understand how serious everything was. They had no time for me, and I, with my panic, had no time for them. The women in the car were also crying... I drove them to Kursk, dropped them off, and then sat in the car for a long time and thought about all this.

— What were you thinking?

— I realized that Ukrainian militants had attacked the Kursk region. And that I remained alive only because I was not destined to die. I even warned my assistant that I would arrive late.

- Do you think they didn't kill you because you weren't destined to die that day?

- Of course. They are not the ones who kill. If a person's life ends, he will die anyway.

- Why weren't you destined to die?

- It wasn't my decision. And besides, if I died, it would just mean that my life was over. But if I'm alive, it means that my mission isn't over. And the threat to life shouldn't stop me from fulfilling my goal.

- What is your goal?

— To benefit my people and my country. To love my homeland and learn to love it even more.

- You speak the right words. I have to clarify: "my people" - who is this?

— Those who suffered from this attack. My homeland is Russia. All my life I have been taught to love the homeland. And to the best of our ability and capabilities, we will learn to love it.

— You said “learn to love.” Because it’s difficult?

— You see, when you see people who love their homeland more than you do, your love for your homeland seems insignificant.

— Have you met such people?

— I have met many times. For example, among those who raised me. My teacher was the first to teach me to love my homeland, despite all the dangers.

- And who is this man?

- Akhmad Khadzhi, today he is the Mufti of the Republic of Dagestan. He said that the threat of death will not shorten our lives.

— He said that our Motherland is Russia?

- Yes.

— Did he say that sincerely?

- Certainly.

— Did he explain to you why you should love her?

- So it's the same as loving your parents.

— But there are people in Dagestan who believe that the North Caucasus was forcibly annexed to Russia.

— There are such people in the rest of Russia too, our opinion does not change because of them. We have our own Motherland, for which we are ready to sacrifice our lives.

— Are you ready to sacrifice your life for Dagestan or for Russia?

— What does Dagestan have to do with it if Ukrainian militants attacked the Kursk region? I didn’t rescue a single Dagestani from there. And I didn’t go there for the sake of the Dagestanis. I saved ordinary residents of the region, with whom I spent my best life and with whom my children are growing up. They are mostly Orthodox Christians.

For two months, I was constantly traveling to the combat zone, sometimes several times a day. Sometimes I had to stay there overnight, because at night we couldn’t turn on the headlights, so that a Ukrainian drone wouldn’t spot us — there were no electronic warfare systems or detectors in Kursk at that time.

Let me repeat, we did all this for the sake of Christians who are in no way connected with Dagestan.

— You said that on the first day of the invasion you sat in the car for a long time and realized what had happened. At what point did you feel fear?

— This was the first such case. There were many such moments. For example, when we were driving with Channel One journalists, a drone exploded next to us, and fragments hit the car.

— But after the first incident, you decided to help people?

“I made this decision a long time ago, when I became an imam.

— But you didn’t think then that a war would start in the Kursk region?

— The war has nothing to do with it. If some natural disaster happened, we wouldn’t sit at home either. We would help people, knowing that something bad had happened to them. If I knew that my neighbor’s children had disappeared, I would start doing something, not just sympathizing. And I know that I can help.

- How can I help? You're not superman.

- No one is born a superman, we are all born as simple people. Only in the course of your life can you do something important. First of all, you must be useful to people. Being an imam does not mean being useful only to Muslims. If you profess traditional Islam, you will be useful to everything around you.

- And if all this inspires you with a feeling of rejection?

— Rejection happens when we do something for our ego. You wouldn't risk your life for the sake of your comfort. And people aren't ready to die for money.

Until our main troops arrived in the Kursk region, only a few volunteers entered the combat zone. Our soldiers were performing their main task - stopping the enemy, they had no time for civilians. Civilians did not fully understand what was happening. There were even cases when Ukrainian soldiers entered populated areas in Russian uniforms and only after securing their positions did they change their dog tags on their hands.

Yes, you can't prepare for it. But you still have to do something.

— Are you doing all this for the sake of people or for the sake of the Almighty?

- These things are interconnected. The Almighty has given me the opportunity to preach his faith, helping people. When I stand before Him and He asks what I did on earth, I don’t want to answer: “I just sat in the mosque and prayed.” What is the meaning of my religion then?

— Is it possible to help people simply for the sake of your faith, without loving them?

- It's a rhetorical question. How can you help people without loving them? People will quickly leave. Yes, you can do it if you're ordered to. But as soon as control weakens, you'll stop doing it. No one forced us to go there. People only found out about us after the twenties of August.

— I wrote about you in my Telegram channel then.

— Most likely, thanks to this, a lot of people began to find out about it.

When the Ukrainian Armed Forces surrounded Sudzha, I recorded a video message in which I called on people to urgently leave the city because it was very dangerous there. After that, I was heavily criticized and accused of panicking. But I did this after the incident with the Ukrainian servicemen. I tried not to talk about that incident at all, so that they wouldn’t worry about me and prevent me from going to evacuate people.

Only when our troops stopped the enemy and went on the counter-offensive, I began to gradually reveal the details. Including with your help.

“I was very glad to learn about a Muslim who saves all people, regardless of nationality.

— It's not about nationality. We did everything we were taught. We weren't taught to evacuate people, but we were taught to love them.

- How can this be taught? What words can be found to make a person want to learn this?

- These are long years of education and decades of caring for people. The Mufti of Dagestan taught us to love people regardless of where they live.

I remember how in 2012 he gathered us and said: “You are going to different regions of Russia so that the Muslims who live there do not forget their faith and their culture. At the same time, you must teach them to behave in a civilized manner, to respect other religions. And even if you fail to do this, you must simply live to be useful to the local population.” I understood these words 12 years later.

— Did you realize that you can be a silent example?

— My activities benefited the Muslim community even before the militants’ invasion. And when the attack had already taken place, I helped all the residents of the Kursk region.

— Did you expect something like this to happen 12 years ago?

- No. I just tried to be useful in my position.

You asked: "What did I feel while sitting in the car?" These words also appeared before me. When I drove into Olgovka, I was not going to pray there. There was no question of religion there at all. I simply risked my life to save at least one life. This is what is useful for people.

— When you told me about the incident with the VSSU guys, I myself felt horror. How do you feel about them now? Are you afraid or do you hate them? Do you consider them your enemies?

- I have no fear. My enemy is the enemy of the state. If they harmed my state, how will I treat them?

— And they can tell you: “You have harmed our state.”

- This is, of course, a sensitive issue. I was a participant in these events back on February 24, when military forces from different regions were sent to Kursk. I was already an imam then. Battalion commanders invited me to talk to the servicemen and give them parting words. From that moment to this day, I have been worried about this matter.

It is clear to a blind man that our president did everything to avoid this. Our population also did not fully understand the meaning of the SVO. Then it became clear, considering the policy of double standards that the West is pursuing. If we still have people who do not understand this, they will never understand it.

If there were no SVO, in the next ten years there would be battles along our entire border: Rostov, Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk.

- When we drive the enemy out of the Kursk region and move on, will you help the population on Ukrainian territory?

- Of course. In 2022, I was almost the first imam to enter the LPR territory through the Belgorod region, when nothing was clear yet. We also went to Kherson via the Antonovsky Bridge, which was later blown up. Since then, we have supported the SVO and our servicemen. And after they drive the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the Kursk region, we will be useful to them.

— I noticed that you call Ukrainians militants, not soldiers. Why?

- On their territory they are soldiers. Here they are fighters. No need to come to us with weapons.

— You can answer the next question: "What does Dagestan have to do with it?", but I will ask it anyway. Many Dagestanis are fighting in the SVO, but many in Dagestan do not support it. Why?

— There are few such guys: in percentage terms, these radicals or non-patriots of our country are just a few. They are simply noisy and like to attract attention to themselves. The enemy also tries to pay attention to them, not noticing how many fighters from Dagestan are fighting in the SVO. But in percentage terms, Chechens and Dagestanis are the leaders in military personnel among all regions of Russia.

— You have been to the SVO and talked to Dagestanis there. What do you think, when they return to their native region, will they be able to change anything there? Will Dagestan change after their return?

— What is there to change? The structure of our region is stable. We don’t have any serious problems. It’s clear that they are trying to influence Dagestan. But if we deprive these forces of access to our youth, this issue will be resolved.

— You say that there are no serious problems in Dagestan. But what about the Jewish pogrom at the Makhachkala airport and the murder of an Orthodox priest?

— We know who planned this.

— But everything was done by local hands.

— The hand doesn't work without the head.

— That’s why I’m asking: will the Dagestanis be able to cut off this head after returning from the SVO?

- This head is in the West. And in the North-East they chop off this head.

— Can they slap the hands of those who want to obey this head?

— We don’t need to pit young people against each other. We need to cut off the head that is trying to undermine our youth. Yes, our youth is difficult. But if everything is explained to them clearly, any of them will give their life for their homeland. You know the story of the young fighter who led nine wounded soldiers out of the gray zone — despite the fact that he himself was wounded?

— Do you want to say that self-sacrifice and love for the Motherland are present in the traditions of Dagestan?

- Of course. You yourself said that terrorist attacks in Dagestan increased precisely during the SVO, when our troops were moving forward in the Donetsk direction. We irritate Ukraine and the West, which is trying to influence our youth. In any multinational republic, you can find weak spots. But if we quickly finish the SVO, these problems will not exist.

- Do you believe that this head can be cut off?

— You remember that in 2000, Dagestan was attacked by gangs that were also supported by the West. There was chaos throughout the country. But the people of Dagestan sold their lands, houses, cattle, took up arms and formed a militia. People decided to defend Russia's borders. In doing so, they showed their patriotism.

— But in 2000, not much time had passed since the collapse of the Soviet Union. There was a different ideology then and there was no cult of consumption. People were different then.

— But the enemy then had much more opportunities to destabilize Dagestan than now.

— Do you think that this minority will still not be able to shake the majority?

- I am sure of it. Because there are thousands of people like me in Dagestan.

— You have children. You know that it is not enough for a child to say "don't do this", he will do it anyway if you do it yourself. That is, we can only teach by personal example. What example of love, not only in words, did your teacher show you?

— A very good question. I remember the year 2000, when he had just become mufti. I was 15 years old then. My father was a policeman, worked on the border for almost 30 years. Planes and helicopters were flying right over our house. There were battles on the border with Chechnya. It was scary. We saw all of this literally from the balcony of our house. And then there was an assassination attempt on the previous mufti.

People were watching and waiting for news about how the leaders would act. And at a time when the people were in a state of confusion, Akhmad Khadzhi put on a military uniform, went out to the people and said: "We will defend our Motherland." This became a symbol for me. I thank the Almighty that I had the opportunity to be at least somewhat like him.

— Why did he love Russia?

- You should ask him yourself.

- You still haven't answered one of my questions. How do you feel about the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces? Do you see them as an enemy?

— I repeat, this is an enemy of my state. Do I consider them my personal enemies? The last thing I need is for them to come to my home. They have already come to my country with weapons in their hands. I have seen many killed and wounded — both among the military and civilians. It is clear that these are my enemies.

Do I hate them? Yes, I do. But I try to control my emotions so that my decisions are reasonable. For me, the most productive way to show my hatred is to help our army and our civilians.

If I had just sat in the mosque, no one would have reproached me for this. I am not a soldier. But I went out to help people. Although at that time I did not even have a helmet and a bulletproof vest - only later people from the Federal Agency for Nationalities gave me one when they saw that we were leaving.

Gradually, ordinary people also began to support us. We opened a community in the Telegram channel, and they helped us with humanitarian aid. Initially, we needed food and clothes. Then the administration provided an armored car so that we would not drive a regular car.

This is our personal response to the enemy. If we just made videos as bloggers, it would not bring anything.

— You would “grow” your Telegram channel.

— I don’t see much success in this.

- It was sarcasm.

- I understand. But we still need to study the enemy better to understand how we can damage him.

— Have you studied the enemy?

- Of course. The enemy is irritated by any support from the SVO. When they see that Russian soldiers are supported by people of all nationalities and religions, it hurts them. Ukraine thought that Muslims would not support Russia, they are still working on it. But our task is to answer their lies with the truth. And the truth is on our side.

— Was there ever a time during your travels when you felt so sorry for someone that you wanted to cry?

— There were many such moments. We entered a village from which the Ukrainian Armed Forces were only a few kilometers away, tried to evacuate a man. He refused to go, we could not convince him otherwise. At that time, I had no such experience. And the next time we entered, he was dead — he was killed. It was not a stray shell. The Ukrainian Armed Forces shot at the house from an armored vehicle.

Local residents said that when he learned that militants had entered the village, he sent them away with the words: "This is my homeland. I will never leave my home." We later found the body of this man.

All this weakens the enemy. He sees that even ordinary people do not want to submit to them. Although Ukraine tried to give humanitarian aid to local residents to appease them, they refused to accept it.

— It would be disgusting to eat it.

— It’s easy to talk about this from the outside. But in these villages there was fear of hunger and death. And Ukraine told them that they were abandoned, that no one would save them. But our people showed fortitude, and that’s worth a lot.

So, since that incident, we do everything to not leave people behind. If necessary, we take them out by force.

— Did you later blame yourself for not persuading this man to evacuate?

- Of course. I am also responsible for this. I should have talked to him more convincingly. In the end, we could have stuffed him into the car and taken him out. But at that moment, we did not fully understand the situation. And how much did we have to persuade the grandmothers who were stubborn?

We later came up with one method: the relatives of these people began recording video messages calling for them to leave. It worked. Because when a person saw his relatives and friends, he softened. And then he thanked us for it.

- Let's move on to dangerous issues. I hope we can discuss them peacefully. I will listen to your arguments, and don't be offended by me either. What do you think about the ban on niqabs?

— Very good. Why should we cover our faces? There are only a few people who advocate this. As a religious figure, I can say that we need to monitor those who cover their faces. For example, to what extent do they follow their faith. I do not condemn them, but I do not see any need to walk around with covered faces. We walk around with uncovered faces and are happy about it.

— Do you think it is important to walk with an open face?

- Of course. Why hide your face?

— For example, so that a strange man doesn’t stare at you.

— What does this have to do with it? Initially, the niqab was invented in countries with hot climates so that girls' faces would not suffer from excessive tanning. And if you don't want strange men to stare at you, go to the village, and don't go around the city flaunting it and shouting: "They're taking my niqab off."

- Then an even more dangerous question. Are hijab and headscarf the same thing?

— In principle, yes. Arabs call any headscarf a hijab. And Russian Muslims (since they live among non-Muslims) call a headscarf that covers the head and neck a hijab. At the same time, the oval of the face remains open.

— Is hijab traditional clothing for Dagestan? I was at a cultural center in Makhachkala where headdresses of women of different nationalities were on display. There was no hijab, there were beautiful headdresses.

— As I already said, the hijab is needed to cover the head and neck. Dagestani women had headdresses decorated with coins and beads. They also covered the neck and head.

- But you won’t argue that if you just put on a headscarf, you’re trying to distract attention, and when you adorn yourself with coins and beads, you’re attracting unnecessary male attention.

— Such headdresses could not attract special attention to Dagestani women, because at that time everyone dressed like that. Dagestani women simply tried to cover their necks and heads, and how they did it was not important.

— And what do you think about the fact that a unified school uniform will be introduced in Russia, and girls from religious families will wear headscarves instead of hijabs, since both Christian and Muslim women can wear headscarves?

— I have an acceptable attitude.

- Why don't you argue?

— Because if a person professes traditional Islam but is dissatisfied with something, he can adequately say so. If a girl covers her head with a regular scarf, there will be no problem. And those who want to find a problem in this will find one. In any case, they will try to stir up religious discord here. Therefore, we must focus on the opinions of people who have an academic degree in each field.

- What does your teacher think about this?

- I didn't ask him about it. But I think his opinion will coincide with mine 100%.

— One more question. The problem of migration is being hotly discussed now. There are concerns that the average Russian will take out some of the negativity on the native Russian Muslims.

— I am not an expert on migration policy. But we will accept any decision of people who are trying to preserve our culture and social stability in this area. I trust our president. I am sure he wants the best for Russia. And if everything is good in Russia, then everything will be good for us too.

- You said "our culture". What did you mean?

— The culture and traditions of the peoples of Russia, we are a multinational country. Every nation in Dagestan has the opportunity to study its history. Another thing is that young people do not always want to do this.

Islam also says: “Allah Almighty created us as different nations so that we could recognize each other.” And in Russia we have no problems with this.

I understand that your questions in this area are sensitive. But I am 100% convinced that no nation here is discriminated against in religion or culture. If a person wants to walk around with green hair and tattoos, no one will do anything to him for it.

— And you can’t be a quad biker?

— I don’t fully understand this topic. Perhaps it’s the parents’ fault. There are always people who haven’t achieved something in life and now they’re trying to somehow attract attention to themselves. If parents pay due attention to their children, the children will try to be like good people, not like animals.

— If in 2000 your teacher had not put on a military uniform and gone out to defend his country, would you now be helping the residents of the Kursk region?

- If my teacher hadn't done that, I might not be alive. The entire nation of Dagestan could have died. We didn't have an army as such back then. You know how tough the battles were for Botlikh. It's a very painful subject for us.

It seems like a trifle, but it is still being decided in the first minutes. If the Mufti of Dagestan had not united the people, there would have been chaos and panic. He showed the way. And in the case of the Kursk region, we are also following this path.

- Why are you sure that we will throw the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the Kursk region? There are a lot of them.

— “A lot” is a relative term. They have very large losses. If they try to hold on to a small territory with such large losses, they will pay a high price. Any country looks at what it gains and what it loses. So, Ukraine has occupied the same amount of territory in two months of fighting as we occupy in a day. They will have to pay dearly for this adventure if they do not leave the Kursk region. And if they refuse to leave at all, our troops will come to them from the Sumy region and surround them. God willing, that will be the case.

Oh, you’ll get an answer all right—after she tells you about her nephew’s wedding, her cat’s peculiar eating habits, and why they don’t make tea kettles like they used to. By the time she’s done, the scammer will have aged faster than their victim ever could.

And it works! O2 reports that Daisy has kept some scammers on the phone for an astonishing 40 minutes. That’s nearly an episode of Bake Off spent listening to her passion for knitting scarves for pigeons. One unlucky fraudster reportedly hung up after Daisy gave him some “personal” details—like a bank account number that spelled out “NO-MONEY-FOR-YOU.”

The genius behind Daisy is a custom-trained AI that’s programmed to generate lifelike responses in real time. She hears what the scammer says, cooks up a response with the cunning of a master troll, and speaks back in a voice that would convince anyone she’s about to invite them over for tea and biscuits. It’s like ChatGPT, but if ChatGPT had a fondness for tangents about gardening.

Murray Mackenzie, Director of Fraud at Virgin Media O2, describes Daisy as a scammer’s worst nightmare. “We’re essentially weaponizing British politeness,” he said, probably while sipping tea and feeling very pleased with himself. Daisy doesn’t just waste scammers’ time—she actively ruins their day. And for the millions of people constantly worried about falling victim to fraud, that’s a win.

If you’re in the UK and get a scammy call, you can report it to 7726 for free, and maybe Daisy will step in to “help.” Just picture the scammer furiously taking notes as Daisy prattles on about how she thinks her account number starts with a 4…or maybe it’s a 7…or was that her library card?

Eva Longoria reveals she has fled ''dystopian'' America with her family and is now living in Mexico and Spain
[DAILYMAIL.CO.UK] Eva Longoria fled 'dystopian' America and is 'privileged' to now be living in Mexico and Spain with her family.
Eva Longoria? Wow. Who'da thunkit. Anybody know who she is?
The Texas born actress, who has spent her 'whole adult life' in California, says she feels the American 'chapter in my life is done now' and no longer wants to live in Los Angeles, alleging the city has been 'changing'.
Spent her 'whole adult life' in California? That does explain a lot.
Longoria, who has Spanish citizenship, and her producer husband Jose Baston, a native of Mexico, have been living abroad with their six-year-old son Santiago while she works on her CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
miniseries Searching for Spain - a follow up to last year's Searching for Mexico.
I know right where it is: About 150 miles south of where I sit right this moment. I'll do a CNN miniseries called "Finding Mexico" for CNN if they'll give me lotsa money. I know where Spain is too, if they have even more money.
The Desperate Housewives actress, who campaigned hard for Kamala Harris
Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's' former mistress
to win the presidential election, fears that if Donald Trump 'keeps his promises' the US will be a 'scary place'.
I ain'ta scared o' no Trump. I somehow managed to survive Sleepy Joe and Jill.
'I get to escape and go somewhere,' the Flamin' Hot director, 49, told Marie Claire magazine. 'Most Americans aren't so lucky. They're going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.'
Escaping to Messico seems like going from the frying pan in the cabinet directly into the fire, but maybe that's just me.
It comes as Trump has started to fill key posts in his second administration and sent shockwaves through the Republican party on Wednesday night with his announcement that he'll nominate Matt Gaetz as his Attorney General.
As opposed to "respected jurist" and Obama Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland. Right.
Keeping with the trend to stock his Cabinet with MAGA allies rather than veteran professionals in their requisite fields, Trump also named Elon Musk for a new cost- and waste-cutting role, Fox News host Pete Hegseth to run the sprawling Defense Department, and Tulsi Gabbard - who infuriated critics with claims about 'biolabs' in Ukraine -
... and for leaving the Dems...
to be Director of National Intelligence.

China-Japan-Koreas
North Korea leader orders mass production of suicide drones
Even in faraway Afghanistan they keep a wary eye on the mad dog of Communist China.
[KhaamaPress] North Korea
...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...
n leader Kim Pudge Jong-un
...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished...
has issued an order for the mass production of kamikaze/suicide drones following successful tests of these drones. The directive highlights North Korea’s growing focus on enhancing its military capabilities.

According to North Korea’s state news agency, Kim stated on Friday, November 15, that there is an escalating global race to utilize drones for military purposes. He emphasized the urgent need to update military strategies in light of these advancements.

The introduction of kamikaze drones has become increasingly prevalent in conflicts such as the Russia-Ukraine war and the Middle East, according to Rooters. These drones are shaping modern warfare by offering strategic advantages.

Kim’s directive comes shortly after signing a strategic partnership agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
. The timing suggests a connection between the mass production order and the evolving military cooperation between the two nations.

Reports from South Korea, NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
, and the U.S. indicate that approximately 10,000 North Korean special forces have been deployed to support Russia in the Ukraine war. These forces have reportedly been involved in battles in the Kursk region, with casualties among their ranks.

North Korea’s increasing military support for Russia, including the deployment of special forces and the mass production of kamikaze drones, adds a new layer of complexity to the Ukraine conflict.

The strategic partnership between North Korea and Russia signals a shifting geopolitical landscape, with Pyongyang taking a more active role in global conflicts. This growing alliance not only intensifies the war in Ukraine but also challenges the existing balance of power, prompting heightened vigilance among Western nations.
