Pakistan Army kills four militants, including commander, in Khyber region
[KhaamaPress] The Pak Army reported the killing of four krazed killers, including one of their commanders, in the Khyber region of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The army’s public relations office announced on Thursday, November 28, that these bully boyz were killed during an operation in the "Bagh" area of Khyber.

The Pak Army identified the slain krazed killer commander as "Bator." The army also mentioned that three other bully boyz were maimed during the operation.

Meanwhile,

announced that one security officer was killed in a landmine explosion in the Turbat
...The turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) is a relatively large species of flatfish in the family Scophthalmidae. It is highly prized as a food fish. It is a valuable commercial species, acquired through aquaculture and trawling. Turbot are farmed in Bulgaria, Canada, France, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, Chile, Norway, and China. Turbot has a bright white flesh that retains this appearance when cooked. Like all flatfish, turbot yields four fillets with meatier topside portions that may be baked, poached, steamed, or pan-fried. It has been called The King of the Sea because of its exquisite flavor.

Turbat is a city in Pakistain located in southern Balochistan. It has nothing to do with the fish. Its primary industry appears to be murder. Don't go there, not even to visit

region of the province.

The escalation of violence in Pakistain has raised alarm, as attacks on military personnel and officials have been intensifying. In the first 20 days of November alone, 55 Pak officers were killed in various krazed killer attacks, highlighting the growing threat to national security.

These increasing krazed killer attacks, particularly in regions like Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, have exacerbated tensions within Pakistain. The military’s ongoing operations against Death Eaters have faced fierce resistance, and the mounting casualties among Pak officers underscore the severity of the situation.

The spike in krazed killer activity is part of a broader trend of instability in Pakistain, with bully boyz targeting both security forces and civilians. The rise in attacks has put immense pressure on the country’s security apparatus, forcing authorities to reconsider their strategies for countering bully boy groups.

IDF says it struck Hezbollah rocket launcher in southern Lebanon after spotting activity
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says it carried out an airstrike against a mobile medium-range Hezbollah rocket launcher in southern Lebanon a short while ago.

The drone strike was carried out after the military says it identified activity and movement of the truck-mounted launcher.

“The IDF is deployed in southern Lebanon and operating to remove threats that threaten Israel and are violations of the ceasefire agreement,” the military adds.

Gaza medics say at least 40 Palestinians killed over past day in strikes; IDF says it is striking terror targets
[IsraelTimes] Military strikes killed at least 40 Palestinians overnight and today in the Gaza Strip, many of them in the Nuseirat refugee camp at the center of the enclave, medics say, after tanks pulled back from parts of the camp.

The casualty numbers could not be independently verified, and do not distinguish between civilians and combatants.

Medics say they had recovered 19 bodies of Palestinians killed in northern areas of Nuseirat, one of the enclave’s eight long-standing refugee camps.

Later, an Israeli air strike killed at least 10 Palestinians in a house in Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip, medics say.

Others were killed in the northern and southern areas of the Gaza Strip, medics add.

There is no fresh statement by the IDF, but on Thursday it said its forces were continuing to “strike terror targets as part of the operational activity in the Gaza Strip.”

Europe
Despite threats and a ban, 2000 Christians and Jews celebrate Israel in Amsterdam
[IsraelTimes] Some 2,000 pro-Israel protesters gathered outside Amsterdam’s city hall on Thursday night after Mayor Femke Halsema nixed the originally planned rally in the capital’s Dam Square, reportedly concerned that the site could not be properly secured.

The central Dam Square is where pro-Paleostinian and anti-Israel demonstrations have taken place with greater frequency over the last few weeks following the violent mostly peaceful attacks on Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters on November 7 — though with far fewer attendees than Thursday evening’s pro-Israel crowd.

"This is how ’never again’ becomes ’yet again,’ by taking rights away from Jews bit by bit," said Jewish former politician Rob Oudkerk. "’Yet again’ is Mayor Halsema, who bans us from Dam Square."

Several speakers bitterly complained of what they called Halsema’s unwillingness to protect Jews in the heart of the city.

The city’s "security triangle" — consisting of the mayor, the local chief of police and Amsterdam’s chief public prosecutor — had banned the gathering, saying that the safety of the pro-Israel protesters could not be guaranteed after antisemitic riots earlier this month.

Israeli officials said 10 people were maimed in the November 7 violence, perpetrated by Arab and Moslem gangs against visiting and local fans of the Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer club after a match against Amsterdam’s Ajax. Hundreds more Israelis huddled in their hotels for hours, fearing they could be attacked. Many said that Dutch security forces were nowhere to be found as the Israeli tourists were ambushed by gangs of masked assailants who shouted pro-Paleostinian and anti-Israel slogans while they hunted, beat and harassed them.

Led by Christians For Israel, some 20 Protestant and Jewish organizations at first rejected the security triangle’s decision to prohibit pro-Israel demonstrators from gathering at Dam Square, but finally agreed on the alternative location.

Solidarity with Israel and Dutch Jews was shown in a celebratory fashion by the protesters next to the "Stopera" (Amsterdam’s city hall doubles as an opera house), a stone’s throw away from a large statue of Baruch Spinoza, Holland’s most influential philosopher.

Small groups of counter-protesters — not more than a few dozen — were kept away from the largely Christian crowd that had come to the Dutch capital mainly from small and mid-sized towns in what is known as Holland’s Bible belt. There they were joined by Jewish citizens from Amsterdam and other sympathizers.

"My savior [Jesus Christ] was a Jew, the apostles were Jews, the Bible is a Jewish book. Antisemitism and anti-Zionism are deeply anti-Christian," said Protestant minister Klaas-Jelle Kaptein, from the island fishing town of Urk.

In a speech, Yanki Jacobs, a local Chabad rabbi, asked if there was a future for Dutch Jews in light of recent events. "My answer is, if there is a future for the Netherlands, there is a future for Jews in the Netherlands," he said. "If Dutch society has enough strength to fight hatred, my answer is a resounding ’yes.’ But we need people who speak out."

Addressing the crowd directly, Jacobs said, "That is what you are doing and I am grateful to you."

The crowd was a sea of Israeli flags and signs saying "Never again." One banner read "Stop Jew hunters," referring to the phrase "Jew hunt" used in social media groups by some perpetrators of the November 7 attacks here.

A group from Urk carried a banner saying, "Benjamin Netanyahu, welcome on Urk," mocking a statement by Dutch Foreign Affairs Minister Casper Veldkamp in which he announced that the Netherlands would comply with the recently issued ICC warrant against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for alleged war crimes and arrest him were he to land on Dutch soil.

Veldkamp, a former ambassador in Tel Aviv, was then harshly criticized when a day later he received and shook hands with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Last week, a planned trip to Israel by Veldkamp was canceled in "mutual agreement" with the Israeli government, according to the Dutch Foreign Affairs Ministry in The Hague. But Jerusalem maintains that Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar unilaterally canceled the trip after Veldkamp’s endorsement of the ICC warrant.

Geert Wilders, leader of the largest coalition party, the far-right Party for Freedom, said Veldkamp’s meeting with Araghchi while "Netanyahu is taboo" was "hypocritical."

Notably, at Thursday evening’s protest against antisemitism, many Persian flags were flown by opponents of the Islamist regime in Tehran who expressed their solidarity with Israel.

The most emotional speech of the night came from Holocaust survivor Deborah Maarsen-Laufer. Born in February 1942, she was the youngest survivor of the Ravensbruck Nazi concentration camp.

"Borrie," as Maarsen is affectionately known in the Dutch Jewish community, referred to the three minutes of speaking time the organizers had given her.

"A lot can happen in three minutes. Three minutes were enough for the Nazis to take my parents, my sisters and me from our house 80 years ago. On October 7, three minutes were enough to turn a place where young people danced into hell. And three minutes were also enough for youths on scooters to hunt for Jews in our Mokum," she said, using the traditional nickname for Amsterdam that has roots in the Hebrew word "makom," meaning place.

"In these historic antisemitic times in which part of the people assume a passive-aggressive attitude [to Jews] or looks away, it is priceless that another part refuses to do so and shows its unreserved affection," Lenny Kuhr, the Dutch Jewish winner of the 1969 Eurovision contest, told The Times of Israel.

Kuhr has become a more and more vocal defender of Israel after a theater in the city of Leiden banned her from performing in March, claiming that "people like her openly support genocide." The performer, whose two daughters live in Israel with their families, sang part of her recently written song "Light" for the crowd.

A group of some 15 keffiyeh-wearing and mostly masked counter-protesters yelled "Zionism down" from the other side of the River Amstel that gives the Dutch capital its name, trying to reach the protest by claiming to coppers that they were part of it "as vehement opponents of antisemitism."

Police, some on horseback, quickly surrounded and later dispersed the group, as they did with other small anti-Israel groups and individuals at the beginning of the demonstration. Halsema had banned a larger counter-protest after far left and Moslem youths attacked pro-Israeli Christians at a commemoration of the October 7, 2023 massacre in Israel.

Groups of Moslem youths were not seen at the site of the protest, however, and confrontations between far-left counter-protesters and police remained mostly nonviolent mostly peaceful. The pro-Israel crowd was largely well-behaved, and hundreds thanked coppers as they left for the busses that waited in Amsterdam’s outskirts to take them back to their towns.

As two men wearing Israeli flags left the square in front of the Stopera, one told The Times of Israel he was a refugee from Aleppo, Syria. David, born Dawud, said he converted to Christianity after arriving in the Netherlands in 2014.

"I am here to support Jewish people, they are the nation of God," David said, adding one message for the citizens of Israel’s neighbor states: "Love, not hate!"

Shameful: After debate, Oxford Union votes Israel is ‘apartheid’ state committing ‘genocide’
[IsraelTimes] Controversial event at prestigious UK university results in 278 votes in favor, 59 votes against; Arab Israeli speaker removed after he calls audience ‘terrorist supporters’

A controversial debate held by the Oxford Union that discussed whether Israel is an "apartheid state responsible for genocide" devolved into a yelling match between speakers and attendees on Thursday. The event took place under tight security, as protesters demonstrated outside the building.

After the debate, the union voted on the proposition, "This House Believes Israel is an apartheid state responsible for genocide," with 278 votes in favor and 59 votes against.

The Oxford Union is a student society located in Oxford, England, and is made up almost entirely of students at the prestigious Oxford University, widely regarded as one of the best institutes for higher education in the world.

Thursday’s debate featured several prominent speakers on both sides of the topic, including pro-Israel advocates Natasha Hausdorff, a British lawyer, Jonathan Sacerdoti, a British journalist who covers the UK and Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
for i24 News, as well as Arab Israeli activist Yoseph Haddad, and former Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
member-turned Israeli spy Mosab Hassan Yusef.

Arguing against Israel were US political scientist and anti-Israel activist Norman Finkelstein, Israeli-American activist and author Miko Peled, Paleostinian-American author Susan Abulhawa, and Mohammed El-Kurd, a Paleostinian writer and poet.

According to Oxford University’s student newspaper, Cherwell, the debate featured intense heckling and argument, with one audience member calling Sacerdoti a "sick motherfucker" and a "genocidal maniac" while the journalist was giving his position.

Cherwell reported that Peled said during the debate, "What happened on October 7th was not terrorism — these were acts of heroism of a people who were oppressed," and called for a Paleostinian state "from the river to the sea."

The ongoing war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
was sparked by Hamas’s October 7, 2023, massacre, which saw some 3,000 gunnies burst across the border into Israel by land, air and sea, killing some 1,200 people and seizing 251 hostages, mostly civilians, many amid acts of brutality and sexual assault.

For her part, Abulhawa told the crowd that she "came to speak directly to Zionists: we let you into our homes when your own countries turned you away. You killed and robbed and burned and looted our lives, you carved out our hearts."

The Paleostinian poet El-Kurd argued that Zionism is "irredeemable and indefensible," and said that if the union voted in favor of calling Israel an apartheid state committing genocide, "it means that this body is catching up to the moral clarity of the global majority. It is about time and about 70 years too late."

Speaking against the proposition, meanwhile, Haddad was kicked out of the chamber for lack of decorum after calling the audience "terrorist supporters" when they booed him during his argument. As he was escorted out, the Arab-Israeli activist put on a shirt with the face of slain Hezbollah leader His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The late, lamented satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...>
with the caption, "Your terrorist is dead."

Pro-Israel speaker Hausdorff called the debate a "dark moment in the Oxford Union’s history," and said that the accusation of genocide against Israel is a "slur being alleged against the real victims of genocide in this case."

Yusef, the disowned eldest son of the co-founder of Hamas who has become a pro-Israel activist, reportedly told the crowd, "Paleostinians are the most pathetic people on planet Earth," and insisted that Paleostinians are "a false identity"

At the end of the debate, the union voted in favor of the resolution 278 to 59, officially labeling Israel as apartheid and genocidal.

The union has a track record of contentious debates on Israel. In 1962, for instance, it debated whether "The Creation of the State of Israel is One of the Mistakes of the Century." Decades later, the students were still debating whether, as a 2008 motion put it, "This house believes that the State of Israel has a right to exist."

Over the years, union members have also overwhelmingly backed motions accusing Israel’s supporters of "stifling Western debate."

But anti-Israel activists haven’t had it their way on every occasion. In 2015, for instance, the US lawyer Alan Dershowitz won a debate on whether the BDS movement against Israel was wrong.

Two years before that, the union rejected a motion that argued Israel is "a force for good in the Middle East," although pro-Israel students delighted in the narrowness of their defeat, suggesting that "to get nearly 40 percent support for Israel at a British university in this day and age is a triumph."

Let me see if I understand the underlying Oxford Ivy League logic here?

They say an ISLAMIC faith terrorist group and its regional followers.
All SWORN to the elimination of ANY faith other than ISLAM are the victims.

Because the terrorists and their supporters got their asses handed to them for kidnapping, raping and murdering women and yes even raping children under 12 on a regular basis. A faith promised an afterlife of sleeping with a ## of temporary virgins for raping and murdering women and children of any other faith?

But the Oxford Union votes overwhelmingly (82+%) that those defending themselves from terrorists are to blame and are genocidal?

NOTE: Given the fact, just attending Oxford costs over $75k a year. It is clear the Oxford Union has 278 Uber-Rich $$ Dumbass Elite Liberals, in a bad need of a 1am wake-up call.

#4  The King and Country Debate was a debate on 9 February 1933 at the Oxford Union Society. The motion presented, "That this House will under no circumstances fight for its King and country", passed with 275 votes for the motion and 153 against it. The motion would later be named the Oxford Oath or the Oxford Pledge.
It became one of the most controversial topics held within the Union, driving debate between the older and younger generations about patriotism and pacifism, and whether this motion would actually help or hurt war prevention efforts.
Winston Churchill claimed that the Oxford Oath affected certain decisions made by Adolf Hitler during the World War II. American pacifists would take their own version of the pledge, and several anti-war strikes would take place with the pledge as the main drive.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
In 1st speech since truce, Hezbollah chief claims victory, says will work with Lebanese army
[IsraelTimes] Terror leader, whose predecessor Nasrallah was eliminated along with most other Hezbollah leaders in recent weeks, denies group was weakened, vows to implement ceasefire commitments

The head of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, pledged on Friday to coordinate closely with the Lebanese army on the ceasefire deal with Israel, which he said the terror group had agreed to “with heads held high.”
Did he say that from a bunker in Tehran? I thought so
Qassem also declared that Hezbollah had achieved a “great victory” against Israel that “surpasses that of July 2006,” referring to the last time the terror group went to war against Israel.

“We won because we prevented the enemy from destroying Hezbollah… [and] from annihilating or weakening the resistance,” Qassem said.

It was Qassem’s first address since the ceasefire came into effect on Wednesday, more than a year after Hezbollah launched near-daily rocket and drone attacks on Israel. The terror group in Lebanon said its attacks were a show of support for Palestinians amid the war in the Gaza Strip sparked by the Hamas terror group’s devastating October 7, 2023, onslaught. The relentless attacks forced the displacement of some 60,000 residents of northern Israel.

Qassem said Hezbollah had “approved the deal, with the resistance strong in the battlefield, and our heads held high with our right to defend [ourselves].”

The truce, brokered by the United States and France, includes an initial two-month ceasefire in which Hezbollah terrorists are to withdraw north of the Litani River, about 20 kilometers from the boundary between Israel and Lebanon, and Israeli forces are to return to their side of the border. The buffer zone would be patrolled by Lebanese troops and UN peacekeepers.

Israeli officials have said forces will be withdrawn gradually as it ensures that the agreement is being enforced. Israel says it reserves the right to strike Hezbollah if it violates the terms of the truce.

“The resistance will be ready to prevent the enemy from taking advantage of Lebanon’s weakness along with our partners… first and foremost the army,” Qassem said in a televised speech.

Iran plans new uranium-enrichment expansion with 6,000 more centrifuges — IAEA report
[IsraelTimes] Tehran says the move is a response to a resolution passed against it by the nuclear watchdog’s Board of Governors last week

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
has informed the UN nuclear watchdog that it plans to install more than 6,000 extra uranium-enriching centrifuges at its enrichment plants and bring more of those already in place online, a confidential report by the watchdog said on Thursday.

The ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency report seen by Rooters details what Iran meant when it said it would add thousands of centrifuges in response to a resolution against it that the IAEA’s 35-nation Board of Governors passed last week at the request of Britannia, La Belle France, Germany and the United States.

More enrichment capacity means Iran can enrich uranium more quickly, potentially increasing the nuclear proliferation risk. Iran denies seeking nuclear weapons but Western powers say there is no civil explanation for enriching uranium to up to 60% purity, close to the roughly 90% that is weapons grade, which no other country has done without producing a nuclear bomb.

The only enrichment level specified for new centrifuges was 5% purity, far from the 60% Iran is already producing. The lower purity, particularly at its Fordow site, could be seen as a conciliatory move by Iran as it seeks common ground with European powers before the return of US President-elect Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
, though enrichment levels can be changed easily later.

Iran already has well over 10,000 centrifuges operating at two underground plants at Natanz and Fordow and an above-ground pilot plant at Natanz. The report outlined plans to install 32 more cascades, or clusters, of more than 160 machines each and a massive cascade of up to 1,152 advanced IR-6 machines.

At the same time, the number of cascades Iran plans to install vastly outnumbers those that are already installed and that Iran said it would now bring online by feeding them with uranium feedstock, which the IAEA verified it had yet to do.

"The Agency has determined and shared with Iran the changes required to the intensity of its inspection activities at FFEP (Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant) following the commissioning of the cascades," the report said, referring to Iran’s plan to bring eight recently installed IR-6 cascades there online.

Fordow is particularly closely watched because it is dug into a mountain and Iran is currently enriching to up to 60% there. The only other plant where it is doing that is the above-ground Pilot Fuel Enrichment Plant at Natanz.

Just before last week’s quarterly meeting of the IAEA board, Iran offered to cap its stock of uranium enriched to up to 60%, but diplomats said it was conditional on the board not passing a resolution against Iran.

Although the IAEA verified Iran was slowing enrichment at that highest level and called it "a concrete step in the right direction," the board passed the resolution regardless, repeating a call on Iran to improve cooperation with the IAEA.

Thursday’s report said Iran had finished installing the last two cascades of IR-2m centrifuges in a batch of 18 at its vast underground Fuel Enrichment Plant at Natanz, and that it planned to bring all 18 online, though the IAEA verified on Nov. 26 that no uranium had been fed into them.

Iran also told the agency it intended to install 18 extra cascades of IR-4 centrifuges at that Natanz plant, each with 166 machines, the report said.

At the above-ground pilot plant at Natanz, Iran informed the IAEA it planned to take various steps that suggested it would increase the number of full, rather than small or intermediate, cascades there, which could produce more enriched uranium.

It also said it planned to install one cascade of up to 1,152 IR-6 centrifuges at that pilot plant, which could be the biggest cascade by far in Iran yet.

British and French intelligence chiefs on Friday expressed concern over Iran’s nuclear program, as European officials met with senior diplomats from Tehran for talks on the matter.

In a speech in Gay Paree, the United Kingdom’s foreign intelligence chief said Iran’s nuclear ambitions pose a major global security threat, even after setbacks dealt to its terror group allies Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
and Hezbollah by Israel.

"Iran’s allied militias across the Middle East have suffered serious blows," said Secret Intelligence Service chief Richard Moore. "But the regime’s nuclear ambitions continue to threaten all of us."

#5  One such and remotely possible vendor is:

ETC Ltd
With locations in the United Kingdom, Germany, The Netherlands, France and USA . See their collection of U-235/238 centrifuges.

ETC’s gas centrifuge enrichment process uses a large number of rotating cylinders (like the Iranian setup) which are interconnected.

IF this is the vendor, then it seems the EU & USA have been selling the equipment to the Iranians to make it possible for them to nuke non-Islamic nations.

Interview: Blacklisted for Israel support, author draws strength from Holocaust survivor mom
[IsraelTimes] Bestselling writer Lisa Barr – targeted by hecklers and review bombers – vows that though she wants to ‘curl up in a ball’ after Oct. 7, she will ‘fight back constructively’.

Bestselling author Lisa Barr never expected to call her newest novel “eerily relevant” to modern times. Historical fiction, “The Goddess of Warsaw” is a compelling tale of Warsaw Ghetto resistance, old Hollywood and revenge as a final means toward justice.

In the wake of the October 7, 2023 Hamas onslaught on southern Israel, Barr, a former Jerusalem Post reporter, found herself on a list of “Zionist authors” to be blacklisted and the subject of heckling detractors. Over a year later, Barr said she sees common denominators between the past and present on a daily basis.

“When October 7 happened and I was in the throes of edits for this book… Well, a lot of writers get to escape in their work, but for me, there was no escape,” Barr said in a phone interview with The Times of Israel.

In recent months, there has been a veritable crescendo of antisemitism within the literary establishment. Author Sally Rooney and more than 1,000 writers and publishing professionals recently signed a letter pledging to boycott Israeli cultural institutions that “are complicit or have remained silent observers of the overwhelming oppression of Palestinians.”

Signatories pledge to not work with Israeli publishers, festivals, literary agencies and publications that are “complicit in violating Palestinian rights,” including operating “discriminatory policies and practices” or “whitewashing and justifying Israel’s occupation, apartheid or genocide.”

Unexpectedly, Barr said she found herself taking strength from the character she’d created.

“The Goddess of Warsaw” is a page-turner telling the fictional story of Bina Blonski, a Jewish actress-turned-resistance fighter in the Warsaw Ghetto, and her transformation into Lena Browning, a Hollywood femme fatale with a secret past who uses her time off-screen to hunt Nazis and execute vigilante justice.

“I have drawn strength from Lena, born Bina,” Barr said. “I’ve drawn strength from her in everything, from what I am writing to what I am living in my real life. I am choosing not to be silent about what is going on now, just like my character made those same choices.”

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Hamas terrorist opens fire at Israeli civilian bus in West Bank; 8 wounded, 3 seriously
[IsraelTimes] Palestinian gunman, who used M-16 assault rifle, shot dead by troops; Al-Qassam Brigades names him as Samir Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, 46; IDF rules out possibility of second gunman

At least eight people were maimed, three of them seriously, when a Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
terrorist shot up a civilian bus near the West Bank settlement of Ariel on Friday. The assailant was rubbed out by security forces.

According to the Magen David Adom ambulance service, four people were hit by gunfire, including three at death's door and one in moderate condition. Another four people were lightly maimed by broken glass, MDA said.

The military said that four of the maimed were soldiers and all were lightly injured.

Hebrew media outlets reported that one of those seriously maimed in the attack was the bus driver, Hassan Elsachen.

The al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, grabbed credit for the shooting, naming the gunman as Samir Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, 46, from the village of Einabus near Nablus. Hussein was a member of the Brigades, Hamas said.

The IDF believes the terrorist did not act alone, and that other accomplices may have provided the M-16 assault rifle and vehicle with which he carried out the attack.

However,
a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package...
a military source said the army had ruled out the possibility of a second terrorist after scanning the area around the Gitai Avisar Junction, where the attack took place.

According to an initial IDF probe, Hussein had set out from the Nablus area, driving from the Tapuah Junction to Gitai Avisar — a route with no internal checkpoints. Hussein stopped his car on the side of the road, about 150 meters away from a bus stop, and shot up the bus while approaching it on foot, the army said.

IDF troops stationed in the area returned fire, killing him shortly after the attack began, according to the probe.

The West Bank, which is controlled by Israeli security forces, has seen a sharp rise in violence since the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
war began on October 7, 2023, when thousands of Hamas-led Death Eaters stormed southern Israel to kill some 1,200 people and take 251 hostages.

The onslaught was followed by sharp restrictions on Paleostinian movement in the West Bank and wide-scale counterterrorism operations there. On Wednesday, the Shin Bet said it thwarted an arms shipment to the West Bank by Iran, Hamas’s benefactor.

Since the Hamas onslaught, Israeli troops have arrested some 5,250 wanted Paleostinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,050 affiliated with Hamas.

According to the Paleostinian Authority health ministry, more than 716 West Bank Paleostinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were button men killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops or Death Eaters carrying out attacks.

During the same period, 41 people, including Israeli security personnel, have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank. Another six members of the security forces were killed in festivities with terror operatives in the West Bank.

Security forces operate at home of terrorist who carried out West Bank shooting today

[IsraelTimes] Members of the IDF, Border Police, and Shin Bet operated at the home of Samir Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, the Hamas terrorist who carried out a shooting attack earlier today near the West Bank city of Ariel.

In a statement, the military says the troops questioned suspects and searched for “additional findings in the area.”

The sites in Wadi Hauran in Anbar province were identified as belonging to "ISIS detachments" in a joint operation by the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency, Ministry of the Interior, and the Counter-Terrorism Service, under the command of the Joint Operations Command.

strongholds. The attacks resulted in the destruction of multiple vehicles used by the turban group, according to local reports.

The airstrikes were a direct response to an earlier assault by al-Shabaab on a Somali government military base in Hawadley, which reportedly led to numerous casualties among the Somali National Army. Sources within the military confirmed that the attack on their base was one of the deadliest in recent months, prompting the swift aerial counteraction.

The tension in Hawadley, which falls within the Balcad district, has not subsided. There are continued reports of skirmishes between government forces and al-Shabaab turbans, with both sides vying for control over strategic points in the area. The turban group’s control over the road connecting Balcad to Jowhar has severely restricted movement, disrupting not only local trade but also the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Residents in the area described a volatile atmosphere, with sporadic gunfire and the constant threat of further attacks. "Life has become very unpredictable here," said Abdi Mohammed, a local shopkeeper in Hawadley. "The road to Jowhar, which is crucial for our daily supplies, is practically a no-go zone now."

The ongoing conflict in Middle Shabelle reflects broader challenges in Somalia’s fight against al-Shabaab, an al-Qaeda affiliate that has been battling the government and African Union

forces for over a decade. Despite efforts by the Somali government, supported by international partners, to reclaim territories from the holy warriors, al-Shabaab continues to demonstrate resilience, launching frequent attacks to undermine government control and sow chaos.

Center for Countering Digital Hate: Ending 'disinformation' while taking aim at Musk, conservatives
[JustTheNews] Perhaps lesser known than media watchdogs NewsGuard and Media Matters for America, CCDH is still powerful in helping decide what information reaches American news media consumers.

This story is the fourth in a four-part series this month by Just the News on watchdogs who promote censorship.

On Nov. 4, one day prior to the 2024 presidential election, a headline on the increasingly left-leaning news aggregating site The Drudge Report screamed: “Misleading claims have been viewed more than 2 billion times on X.”

The headline linked to a CNN story based on an analysis by the Center for Countering Digital Hate, the British-American nonprofit whose stated purpose is to stop the spread of disinformation and hate speech and that has targeted liberals but appears more intent on the so-called "de-platforming" of conservative-leaning thought leaders and news outlets.

The story is based on analysis from the group's researchers of 87 posts on X by the social media site's owner, Elon Musk, the libertarian-minded billionaire entrepreneur who backed Republican Donald Trump in his Nov. 5 presidential victory. The researchers found the election-related posts to be “false” or “misleading."

In this final installment of a four-part series on the so-called Censorship Industrial Complex, Just the News takes a look at the Center for Countering Digital Hate, perhaps lesser known than media watchdogs NewsGuard and Media Matters for America, but nevertheless powerful in helping decide what information reaches American news-media consumers.

MAGIC WORDS
Though the Drudge website linked to a CNN story, the study was also picked up by a dozen other outlets, including Reuters, NBC News and The Washington Post, all of which reported the CCDH findings as though they were unimpeachable. Such conclusions are frequently reached when the legacy media reports anything with the magic words “study” or “research” attached – as long as the results fit the progressive narrative.

But some of Musk’s posts highlighted by the CCDH as false contained verified statistics, and many were his opinion or a prediction, so only time will tell whether at least some are either factual or misleading.

The CCDH typically uses reliably left-wing “fact-checkers” and “experts” to tag claims it dislikes as falsehoods (and to defend open immigration, it uses the libertarian Cato Institute).

“If the Democratic Party big government machine wins this election, they will ban voter ID nationwide, not just in California,” is one example of a highlighted post by Musk. To prove Musk wrong, the CCDH fact-check says that 36 states require voters to show some form of ID and the 14 others use “other methods to verify the identity of voters.”

To boost its assertion, the CCDH cites DW.com, a left-of-center website operated by an international broadcaster in Germany that acknowledges that it does not dispute a story by The New York Post stating “welfare offices in 49 states are handing out voter registration applications to illegal aliens,” but adds that there’s “no evidence of widespread noncitizen voting fraud.”

NOT ABOUT FREE SPEECH
Then The Federalist published a response to the controversy headlined: "Corporate Media Wants To Silence The Federalist Because It Can't Compete.”

“In an apparent collaboration with a leftist activist group from the United Kingdom, the eerily named “Verification Unit” of NBC News lobbied Google to demonetize the website you’re reading right now,” The Federalist wrote. “A producer with the NBC News Verification Unit, bragged about getting The Federalist demonetized by having Google remove its ability to make money off its ad platform. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the exact sort of ‘fake news’ (NBC News) and the CCDH claim to fight.”

“Despite the clever naming of activist groups like the CCDH, this isn’t about ‘hate’ speech, which these days is anything that goes against the current claims of radical leftist neo-Marxists,” The Federalist continued. "It also isn’t about free speech. This is the left’s latest attempt to rig a battle of ideas that, despite numerous advantages, it’s still losing. It’s about who can say what, in what way, about whom, and which groups The Anointed have declared to be strictly ‘off-limits’.”

Since the dustup with The Federalist, and with X, the CCDH has actually grown in stature by expanding into the U.S. as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, allowing it to raise funds and operate in the U.S.

Last year, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, sent a letter to Ahmed asking him how and to what extent the CCDH is involved in the Executive Branch’s effort to coerce and collude with companies to censor speech. Jordan asked Ahmed to supply documents and communications regarding interactions with the U.S. government and social-media companies, and to disclose its funding.

In a press release about Jordan’s ongoing investigation is a link to an article from Breitbart News stating the CCDH is partially funded by “a shadowy Swiss investment group that is funding communist China’s bid for global dominance” called Oak Foundation.

“The foundation funds a wide variety of left-wing causes, including efforts opposing the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws, voter registration and mobilization efforts for Democrat-leaning demographic groups, and a broad spread of left-wing environmental groups,” Breitbart News reported.

The Oak Foundation did not respond to a request for comment from Just the News, who has not been able to verify the underlying allegations.

The CCDH responded to Jordan’s request with a letter from an attorney who noted that Ahmed wasn’t one-sided, because he was invited by Trump’s special envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism.

The attorney acknowledged that the CCDH “seeks to communicate robustly and candidly with social media companies,” and highlighted a meeting between Ahmed and Microsoft CEO Linda Yaccarino. The letter states that the CCDH is funded entirely by private donors and has never received money from the U.S. government.

only half the territory that Russia now occupies. And for that opportunity to lose twice as much of their homeland, they paid with tens of thousands of innocent lives.

We did this to control the $11 Trillion of minerals under the Donbas.

We did it to grind down the Russian war machine on the grist of Ukrainian teenagers.

We did it to hand out hundreds of billions of dollars to U.S. hedge funds, who are, as we speak, carving up rights to Ukraine’s fertile soil and vast mineral resources.

The truth is, the United States has never stood with the people of Ukraine. That is simply a jingle, an ad campaign broadcast to those who have never been there, designed just to sell taxpayers on the appeal of prolonging war for profit. We have cost Ukraine her territory. We have cost Ukraine her children. The war hawks and the bankers are no friends to Ukraine."

Federal loan to struggling EV automaker under fire
[JustTheNews] All-electric automaker Rivian Automotive has announced that it received a “conditional commitment” for a $6.6B loan from Department of Energy.

If finalized, the loan would be used to aid in the construction of a $5B Rivian plant just outside Atlanta, Georgia.

Politicians from both sides of the aisle were quick to react to the announcement Monday of additional funding going to what they’ve labeled a “failing company.”

“Biden is forking over $6.6B to EV-maker Rivian to build a Georgia plant they’ve already halted,” said Vivek Ramaswamy, who will be leading President-elect Donald Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency, along with Elon Musk, CEO of X and Tesla Motors. “One ‘justification’ is the 7,500 jobs it creates, but that implies a cost of $880k/job which is insane. This smells more like a political shot across the bow at Elon Musk and Tesla.”

With its first plant currently operating in Illinois, the California-based vehicle startup company officially closed on the 1,800-acre lot in Georgia in Nov. 2023.[JustTheNews] All-electric automaker Rivian Automotive has announced that it received a “conditional commitment” for a $6.6B loan from Department of Energy.

Acquired to be the location for a second “next-generation manufacturing facility” producing upwards of 400,000 vehicles a year, the company halted construction plans earlier this year after financial troubles. Over the course of the year, shares in Rivian have dropped about 50%, while the Michigan-based Center for Economic Accountability labeled the project the "Worst Economic Development Deal of the Year" for 2022.

Georgia also promised over a billion dollars in incentives for the company, The Center Square previously reported.

Rivian said the loan will accelerate the company's "growth and leadership of electric vehicle design" as well as benefitting the electric vehicle industry throughout the United States.

“This loan will help create thousands of new American jobs and further strengthen U.S. leadership in EV manufacturing and technology,” said Rivian founder and CEO RJ Scaringe in a statement. “This loan would enable Rivian to more aggressively scale our U.S. manufacturing footprint.”

The funding will come from the Department of Energy’s Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing Loan Program, which has also historically loaned both General Motors and Tesla money.

Jo Jorgensen, the 2020 Libertarian candidate for president, called out the loan.

“Electric vehicle startup Rivian Automotive has snagged up to $6.6 billion in funding from the U.S. government to grow its production capability,” she said. “Related news-Rivian is ranked among the worst brands for reliability in 2024. Per usual, our federal government is leading the race to the bottom!”

Earlier this month, the company’s quarter three financials signaled even more financial troubles for Rivian.

In the third quarter, it had a negative gross profit of $392 million, producing only 13,157 vehicles and "delivering" only 10,018. That means the company had a loss-per-vehicle of nearly $40,000.

"They should at least be required to get to positive gross margin with existing models before being given billions for future models," Musk said of the loan announcement.

Bulgarians on trial in UK spied on US base in Stuttgart, prosecutors say
[Stars&Stripes] STUTTGART, Germany — U.S. European Command headquarters was among the targets of a spy ring accused of passing information to Russia over a three-year span, according to British prosecutors trying three Bulgarian defendants. EUCOM’s Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, where Ukrainian troops have spent time with U.S. forces, was surveilled along with various other sensitive locations around Europe, prosecutors said Thursday. Katrin Ivanova, 33; Vanya Gaberova, 30; and Tihomir Ivanov Ivanchev, 39, are also accused of carrying out espionage in England, Austria, Spain and Montenegro, British newspaper The Independent reported. All three are based in the U.K. and deny the spying accusations.

"They sought to gather information for the benefit of Russia ... about various targets, both people and physical locations, information of particular interest to the Russian state," prosecutor Alison Morgan said in opening statements Thursday, according to the newspaper. Morgan told jurors at London’s Old Bailey that a five-person team of Bulgarians directed by an Austrian agent for Russia had carried out six significant operations, including one to spy on Patch Barracks in late 2022, Reuters reported. Charles Prichard, a spokesman for EUCOM, said Friday that the command is following developments in the case but directed questions about the proceedings to British authorities.

"As for the type of activities alleged in the case, for operational security reasons we will not discuss specific force protection measures. We continue to remain vigilant and take appropriate actions — including training — to ensure the safety and security of our people," Prichard said.

While California Governor Gavin Newsom had publicly vowed to resist any attempts by Trump's administration to force policies promoting freedom on residents of the state, he warned that Trump's tariff could cripple California's already debt-ridden economy.

"Trump, who promised to be a dictator on day one, is going to impose these tariffs as a way to punish the People's Republic of California," Newsom said. "We won't stand for it. I've already contacted my good friend Xi Jinping and he's going to send Trump a strongly worded letter."

Trump imposed the tariffs in response to looming trade disputes with California. The Golden State exports most of the United States's avocado oil, tofu turkey burgers, red wine, organic bamboo salt water crackers, and paper clips. Despite the U.S. demand for such goods, Trump pledged to stand firm.

"American products for American patriots!" Trump said in a post to his Truth Social account. "We will not allow the majority of the products we consume here in the United States to be produced over there in that communist hell hole. We also urge the brave people of California to stand up against their oppressive regime and fight for freedom."

At publishing time, Trump had also announced that he would impose tariffs on Canada, but only for maple syrup because no one really cares about anything else coming out of Canada.

Three Easy Ways to Help the Asheville Area
[Garden & Gun] The gumption, grit, and resilience of Western North Carolina is on full display following the impact of Hurricane Helene. The region, known for its vibrant arts, food, and outdoors scenes, is currently in the process of reopening, and though the road will be long, signs of hope are appearing: Asheville and Black Mountain, among other communities, have been designated safe to begin planning a visit, and the iconic Biltmore welcomes the public back, just in time for the holiday season. Here are three ways you can help them from afar.

Helping Asheville’s Hospitality Industry Weather the Storm

Powered by artists, chefs, brewers, and makers, Asheville has evolved into an international destination in recent decades. FEMA estimates that 40 percent of small businesses don’t reopen after a disaster, so to ensure Asheville beats that statistic, Explore Asheville, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit, has launched the Always Asheville Fund. This initiative offers emergency grants to small, independent travel and hospitality businesses in Asheville and Buncombe County. By donating, you can help the area’s resilient small businesses get back to showcasing their vibrant city.

Shop Local, Save Local

October typically brings droves of foliage admirers to Western North Carolina. But Hurricane Helene disrupted that tradition. To help local boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and other independent retailers make up the lost income, you can patronize their online shops or visit Love Asheville From Afar, a website that showcases wares from more than five hundred local businesses, from family-owned yarn shops to ceramic arts purveyors. So you can knock out your holiday shopping while doing a little good.

Tune In to Help

Garden & Gun is offering additional support by pledging a portion of all sales of G&G Vinyl Volumes 1 and 2 to the Always Asheville Fund. These albums, which highlight some of the South’s most talented voices, were produced in partnership with Explore Asheville (and in the case of Vol. 2, with AVLFest and Wicked Weed Brewing) and pressed by Asheville’s Citizen Vinyl. This holiday season, give the gift of great music—and help this remarkable community thrive again—with G&G Vinyl.

German Security Services Warn of Jihadist Attacks on Christmas Markets
[LI] German security services fear Islamic terror attacks at this year’s Christmas markets across the country. On Thursday, Germany’s Interior Minister Nancy Faeser urged "great vigilance" during the Christmas celebrations in public.

Germany’s domestic intelligence agency (BfV) warned that Islamic terrorist groups could target Christmas markets because they represent "Christian values" and are seen as an "embodiment of Western culture and way of life," Germany’s public broadcaster DW TV reports.

In recent years, Christmas season in Germany has been marred by Jihadist terror threats. Last year, German police arrested two Islamic State-linked suspects for plotting to bomb a Christmas market in the city of Leverkusen. In 2016, an illegal Muslim migrant drove a truck into a Berlin Christmas market, killing 12 people and injuring 48.

Think of all those Liberals that demanded OPEN BORDERS.
The DC Deep State and its MSM have been constantly telling us Islam is actually a PEACEFUL Religion.

My rebuttal has been from day one.
All it takes is 1 Islamic cleric to preach the Muhammad hatred of 1,400+ years ago and soon the usual "Death to _____" terrorist groups start up.

Telling the migrants who don’t want to won’t do any good — they’re the ones who won't listen short of bastinadoes on the soles of their feet.

[LI] Tech Billionaire Tells Joe Rogan the Govt. Plan ’to Control AI’ is Why He Left WH Meeting, Endorsed Trump

"They [Biden officials] said don’t even start startups — there’s just no way that they can succeed — there’s no way that we’re going to permit that to happen."

Perhaps one of the most welcome surprises of the 2024 election cycle was the large number of Democrats and/or progressives who threw their support behind President-elect Donald Trump. The cumulative damage to the U.S. after four years of progressive rule, the deceitful way it had been implemented, and the speed with which it occurred, left even some lifelong Democrats disaffected. Silicon Valley venture capitalist Marc Andreessen was among this group.

During a Tuesday interview with podcaster Joe Rogan, Andreessen described the moment he decided to leave the Democratic Party. In the spring, he had participated in a series of White House meetings about the future of AI. Over the course of their discussions, Biden officials fleshed out "their plan to control AI through government regulatory capture." Horrified by the administration’s intentions, Andreesen walked out and endorsed Trump.

What had left the tech billionaire so spooked? Andreessen explained:

US mercenary firms compete for 'huge contracts' to control security in north Gaza
[Cradle] Israel is examining the launch of a "pilot program" that could see US private security firms replace the army in northern Gaza to "accompany food and medicine convoys" for Palestinians who remain in the devastated region, according to a report by Israeli daily Globes.

Among the top competitors for the multi-million dollar contract are Constellis, the direct successor to infamous mercenary company Blackwater, and Orbis, a little-known South Carolina company run by former generals that has worked with the Pentagon for 20 years.

Officials say the pilot program for north Gaza aims to "prevent Hamas or other gangs from taking over the aid trucks and free the IDF soldiers from the dangerous mission."

In recent weeks, Gaza's interior ministry established a new police force
..the Interior Ministry being a wholly owned subsidiary of Hamas…
to deal with groups of bandits and gangs that have been raiding humanitarian aid shipments and blackmailing international organizations in the southern Gaza Strip.
So Hamas police will protect the aid orgs and shipments from Hamas raids? Brilliant, Sherlock! How do you think of such things?
The UN has said these gangs are likely "benefiting from a passive if not active benevolence" or "protection" from the Israeli army.
A vile blood libel.
In October, a third US security firm — Global Delivery Company (GDC) — which describes itself as "Uber for warzones" — claimed to be working with another firm to create and manage "humanitarian bubbles" in Gaza.

GDC is run by Mordechai Kahane, an Israeli businessman who worked with Israeli intelligence during the war on Syria to arm extremist groups seeking to topple the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Place of death of Polish General Marchak
Direct Translation via Gogle Translate. Edited.

Text taken from the Telegram channel of @ukr_leaks

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin is in italics.

[ColonelCassad] The collapsed bunker of the ATO headquarters in the area of Chasov Yar, where in March 2024, Polish General Marchak was killed by an Iskander strike.

Friends from the 98th Airborne Division sent a video from Chasy Yar. The ATO-JFO headquarters bunker simply collapsed.

And I so wanted to get to the place where I spent 2 months in 2017.

Yes, the forest is empty. The Ukrainian Armed Forces militants abandoned their positions when our troops began to encircle them from three sides.

Apparently, it was here in the second half of March 2024 that Polish General Adam Marczak, who coordinated the activities of foreign mercenaries in the Chasy Yar area, was liquidated. The buried command post was hit by an Iskander OTRK missile. Along with Marczak, several more NATO officers were destroyed + a certain number of Ukrainian ones.

It was a good strike on the decision-making center.

Black Friday Kunstler Forecast
The choice is Mr. Zelensky’s, and has been for months as his forces, armaments, and prospects dwindle. He could suspend hostilities, go to talks, even raise a white flag and put an end to the needless suffering. Under no circumstances will he get the Donbas or Crimea back. I doubt that Russia wants to take over the rest of Ukraine, considering the cost of having to support it indefinitely. Better that it should remain a sovereign state and look after itself — but neutral, demilitarized, and, if you like, de-Nazified. You understand that these will be Russia’s final terms? And that there is nothing unreasonable about them?

In short, the hypothetical coup would fail, and the Ukraine war will end, and Mr. Trump will get inaugurated if he is careful to avoid the blob’s assassins until January 20. As for Rep. Jamie Raskin’s scheme to prevent a Trump swearing-in on account of him being “an insurrectionist,” you can file that under “dumb-shit grandstanding.” So, the new government will come in, the new department chiefs will get into office, and the leviathan will get the therapeutic treatment it deserves.

Enemy UAVs were shot down in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Odessa regions. 41 drones were lost, probably due to active counteraction by the Defense Forces' electronic warfare systems; one drone returned to the Russian Federation.

9.25 Ukrainian intelligence officers destroyed the Russian Zoopark radar system with FPV drones. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. The system was destroyed by fighters from the Krylia unit, which is part of the Active Actions Department of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. The cost of the destroyed radar is about one billion hryvnia.

07.44 Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov arrived in North Korea on an unannounced visit.

07.29 Rostov Oblast of the Russian Federation was massively attacked by drones on the night of Friday, November 29; in the northwest of the region, Russian occupiers were allegedly able to "suppress and eliminate 30 drones using electronic warfare."

04.25 The city of Tuapse in the Krasnodar region of Russia was attacked by a UAV on the night of Friday, November 29. Local residents wrote about a dozen drones, air defense work and explosions. A photo from a surveillance camera also appeared, showing thick smoke over the sea. The city has an oil refinery, which has already been attacked by Ukrainian UAVs more than once.

01.56 Near the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinskaya in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, a fire broke out at an oil depot after a UAV attack. Numerous videos of fires have appeared on social networks.

Zelensky appoints Drapatiy as commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Pavlyuk was dismissed from his post by the head of the Kiev regime Volodymyr Zelensky, who appointed the commander of the Kharkiv group of forces, General Mykhailo Drapatiy, to this position. This was reported on November 29 in the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian leader.

In addition, Zelensky appointed Colonel Oleh Apostol as the new deputy commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrsky. As the head of the Kiev regime explained, the personnel changes were made following a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's headquarters together with Syrsky. The reasons for the dismissals were not given.

“The main task is to significantly increase the combat capability of our army, ensure the quality of training of military personnel and introduce innovative approaches to managing people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Zelensky explained the personnel decisions.

Later, the head of the Kyiv regime published decrees on the appointment of Drapatiy and the dismissal of Pavlyuk.

In Russia, Drapatiy was put on the wanted list in September 2023. He was charged in absentia in connection with the fact that under his command, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out more than 70 shellings of populated areas of the DPR and LPR. As a result of the shelling, 154 people were killed and wounded. In May of this year, he was again put on the wanted list.

Earlier, Regnum reported that on September 20, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov fired two deputy heads of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) Kirill Budanov (included in the list of terrorists and extremists by Rosfinmonitoring) without his knowledge. It was claimed that the decision was made in the office of the head of the Kiev regime in order to weaken Budanov's position.

In November, former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, retired General Serhiy Krivonos, suggested that Syrskyi could face imminent dismissal. He made this conclusion due to criticism of the military leader by MP Maryana Bezuhla, whom the Ukrainian authorities use as a "litmus test" of public opinion.

Terror Networks
Three 'narco-submarines' are seized along with drugs worth $8 billion in global raid
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Three 'narco-submarines' trafficking $8 billion worth of drugs from South America to Australia have been intercepted by the Colombian navy in what was a a six-week-long global drug bust.

The latest phase of Operation Orion resulted in the seizure of 1,400 tons of drugs, including 225 tons of cocaine and 128 tons of marijuana, navy official Orlando Enrique Grisales told reporters in a press conference on Wednesday.

More than 400 people were arrested in the crackdown in October and November that involved the security agencies of the United States, Brazil, Spain, the Netherlands and several other nations.

Grisales said officials also seized a semisubmersible vessel on its way to Australia with Colombian cocaine, revealing a 'new route' of trafficking with sophisticated boats that can cover the distance of some 10,000 miles without needing to refuel.

'The first was discovered in Colombian watersm and thanks to the maps it carruedm we identified the route', Grisales said.

The last submarine to have been intercepted during the bust was found off the coast of Clipperton Island in the eastern Pacific.

A kilogram of cocaine is sold for up to $240,000 in Australia, said the official - about six times more than the price in the United States.

The operation also uncovered previously-unknown alliances between cartels from Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru with groups from Europe and Oceania.

'It is not just a pyramid structure as the cartels once were. Today they are organized crime networks joined together,' said Grisales.

Colombia is the world's biggest cocaine producer and exporter, mainly to the United States and Europe.

Meanwhile, Australians are the highest per capita users of cociane in the world, according to the OECD.

Last year, the South American country set a new record for cocaine production and cultivation of the coca leaf it is made from.

It comes after Royal Navy commandos intercepted a narco-sub and seized two-tonnes of cocaine worth a staggering £1600 million back in September.

Royal Marines based on patrol ship HMS Trent made the historic bust during a patrol in the Caribbean.

Britain
Jewish children, teens violently attacked in London: 'streets are no longer safe'
[FoxNews] 'Over the past year, we have repeatedly warned of the dangerous consequences of Jew-hate going unchecked,' group says

The latest targets of antisemitic attacks spreading through Western Europe were Jewish teens and children in the United Kingdom. On Thursday, two buses carrying students from a London Jewish school were attacked at a bus stop by a swarm of around ten teens from a nearby school who wielded large rocks, the Jewish Chronicle reported.

Four teens boarded one of the double-decker buses and went to the second level, where they began to swear at students and give them the middle finger. One 12-year-old student, who professed he was "scared" by the attack, described how the teens "were swearing at us, saying ‘F--- Israel, nobody likes you. F--- off, you bitches. They were filming us like they were enjoying it. There were lots of people in the street and nobody tried to stop them," the student told The Jewish Chronicle.

After the four teens got off the bus, they began to throw heavy rocks at the buses. An 11-year-old student recalled, "I don’t know where they got the rocks from – maybe they had them in their bags. None of us knew what to do." She reported that some students ran off the bus, but she remained aboard. "They were swearing at us and filming us," she explained. "We don’t know what they are going to do with that video or why they did what they did."

"This incident did not take place in a vacuum," a spokesperson from the British organization Campaign Against Antisemitism told Fox News Digital. "Over the past year, we have repeatedly warned of the dangerous consequences of Jew-hate going unchecked."

Citing the Campaign Against Antisemitism’s findings that "69% of British Jews are less likely to show visible signs of their Judaism in public," the spokesperson explained that "the simple truth is that our streets are no longer safe for British Jews and their children. . . . It is time for arrests and those who break the law must face consequences."

Antisemitism has seen a startling rise in the UK in the aftermath of Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023 terror attacks. Citing CST statistics, the BBC reported that 1,978 antisemitic incidents occurred during the first six months of 2024, up from 964 during the same period in 2023. The number may be higher, as the Metropolitan Police’s data reporting was obstructed for three months due to technical difficulties.

The Campaign Against Antisemitism has recorded the emotional toll of the past year for British Jews. According to their research, "42% of British Jews considered leaving Britain" over the last two years on account of antisemitism. The number rose to 85% when considering antisemitism in politics. The organization also found that only "26% of British Jews think the Crown Prosecution Service does enough to protect the Jewish community."

Thursday’s school bus attack follows another startling act of violence. On Nov. 25, a man on an East London balcony launched glass bottles at a group of Jewish teenage girls walking to a rehearsal, the Jewish Chronicle reported. One of the Jewish teenagers was hospitalized with "serious but non-life changing head injuries." The incident is being investigated as a "potential antisemitic crime." The spokesperson from the Campaign Against Antisemitism told Fox News Digital that the victim was "visibly Jewish."

In 2023, 4,103 antisemitic incidents were recorded in the UK, with more than half of them, 2,140, occurring in London.

Amichai Chikli, the Israeli Minister for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism previously called London "the most antisemitic city," on account of the "atmosphere created by Hamas supporters."

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Dancing to the music in his head
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Strange footage shows Vladimir Putin's legs twitching uncontrollably at a public event yesterday amid rumours he has Parkinson's disease.

The 72-year-old Russian leader appeared unable to control his movements as he gave an hour-long speech at a podium in Astana, Kazakhstan.

In the clip, the twitching seems to start in his left foot before affecting both his legs and feet.

Putin then took a wider stance but continued to rock back onto his heels and move his legs.

The Russian leader has been plagued with rumours about his health in recent years - despite the Kremlin vehemently denying the claims.

Last week, Ukraine's internal affairs spokesman Anton Geraschenko claimed during an eight-minute video address, Putin showed signs of serious health problems.

He said that the footage, in which Putin threatened the West with long-range missiles, appeared to have been manipulated, with his hands barely moving.

Analysts suggested the changes could have been made to hide the effects of Parkinson's disease that causes the body to shake.

I think if he'd been worried about appearances he could have used a box-like wooden podium that would have concealed his legs. This article sounds like wishful thinking. We've been hearing rumors for years that Putin is a drunk or that he has cancer and he's about to die or Parkinson's or whatever. And yet there he is, alive and well.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Biden's cease-fire in Lebanon is just another of his empty ‘successes'
[NY Post]"Smell of desperation....or Legacy Desperation"
With the IDF striking Thursday against terrorists moving to launch another attack, the wheels are already coming off the supposed Israel-Hezbollah cease-fire.

And predictably so, since (as with every Team Biden "success") it’s far, far less than it seems — and significantly a gift to Iran.

First, Hezbollah is not in fact part of the accord: It’s formally an agreement between the governments of Israel and Lebanon — the latter of which is a joke, an impotent bystander.

What the deal envisions — both the IDF and Hezbollah pulling out of Lebanon south of the Litani River — was supposed to happen back in 2006 at the end of that Israel-Hez war; there was even a UN resolution (1701) saying so and declaring a "permanent ceasefire."

Israel pulled out; Hezbollah never did. Indeed, it dug in deeper — literally so, with a network of terror tunnels far larger than Hamas’ excavations in Gaza.

And Hez has launched sporadic attacks on Israel out of south Lebanon ever since, with the rocket and missile fire alone spiking up to the thousands after Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, terror invasion.

The United Nations left enforcement of 1701 to the Lebanese government, which then as now couldn’t sneeze without Hezbollah’s permission, and to UNIFIL — the UN peacekeeping force that’s done absolutely nothing to keep the peace in Lebanon for decades.

And those same toothless marvels are now in charge of enforcing the Biden "achievement," though now the United States and maybe France promise to monitor compliance.

Not that either Washington or Paris will send in troops to enforce compliance.

OK, Hezbollah has a veto over anything Beirut does, so Lebanon’s agreement indicates some Hez buy-in.

After all, the terror group’s masters in Iran put out the word that Hezbollah should agree to a cease-fire well before Biden and his envoys set out to produce one.

The IDF has devastated the terror group and its assets these last two months, among other things, taking out so many Hezbollah leaders that the fighters on the ground are likely on their own, with limited if any communications with the higher-ups in Beirut and Tehran.

Iran wanted a cease-fire to end the destruction of its proxies.

Israel, meanwhile, might have wanted to settle for the gains it’s made so far (and certainly has little appetite for fully conquering Lebanon to "finish off" the terror group) and focus on getting the remaining hostages back from Hamas.

But reports out of Israel are that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is claiming that Biden’s diplomats left him no choice: If he didn’t agree to this deal, Washington would cut off weapons shipments to Jerusalem even though it’s at war on seven fronts with Iran and its proxies.

That’s entirely believable, since the prez would like to leave office on a high note — and his minions immediately turned to pushing Israel for another cease-fire with Hamas.

Biden wants to be able to claim he left a peace behind, so Democrats can blame any return to hostilities on Team Trump.

In other words, it’s all about building a "narrative," not about addressing any of the grim realities on the ground, especially not Iran’s role as the master and funder of Hezbollah and Hamas, as well as of the Houthis in Yemen and other "death to Israel" forces in Syria and Iraq.

Which makes it a textbook "success" not just for Biden, but for the entire modern Democratic Party: No wonder they keep losing.

Attack on Aleppo: Militants' sudden success in Syria has two reasons
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
See today’s posts, including this one here, here, here, and here.
by Dmitry Polyakov

[REGNUM] On the morning of November 27, the armed forces of the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, an organization banned in Russia), with the support of Syrian opposition formations, launched an offensive on the positions of government troops. The militants' operation was called "Containing Aggression," and its goal was to restore the borders of the Idlib de-escalation zone. To some extent, the event signifies the "defrosting" of the Syrian conflict.

For almost five years, the status quo was maintained in Syria. In March 2020, the last major operation, “Dawn over Idlib 2,” was completed.

As a result, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) established control over part of Idlib province, significantly reducing the de-escalation zone of the same name. After that, no territorial changes were observed, and clashes between militants and government forces were local in nature.

The current offensive is changing the military and political situation in northern Syria. In just one day, militants were able to cut off the M5 highway, which connects the north and south of the country. Fighting is already taking place within the city limits of Aleppo, which poses a threat to the "northern capital."

The offensive also expanded southeast of Idlib, reaching areas of Saraqib, a key city for controlling the M5 highway, which was only captured by government forces in 2020.

Interestingly, the militants' attack began just hours after a ceasefire was established between Lebanon and Israel. Given that HTS militants have been shelling government positions almost simultaneously with Israeli airstrikes over the past month, this has raised some questions about possible coordination between the parties in the current operation.

But most likely, the sequence of actions is explained by tactical considerations. Syrian militants took advantage of the moment when most of Hezbollah fighters are in southern Lebanon and cannot be quickly transferred to neighboring Syria. However, in essence, this aspect is secondary. The offensive, its pace and tactical successes are determined by two main factors.

THEY PREPARED THOROUGHLY
It is important to recall that the active phase of the armed conflict in Syria ended in 2018, when government forces occupied three de-escalation zones: Eastern Ghouta, northern Homs, and the Southern Zone in the provinces of Daraa and Suwayda. And after the last full-scale military operation ended in March 2020, the status quo was established in the country.

Due to the lack of military actions that somehow supported the combat capability of the Syrian army, its rapid decline began. This process was also influenced by the deep socio-economic crisis in the country, which negatively affected the overall condition of the troops.

Over the past five years, no action has been taken to improve the quality of the armed forces. The exercises did not practice modern methods of warfare that would be adequate to the conditions of the Syrian campaign.

A sign of the general decline was the deterioration of the security situation, especially in the central regions of Syria, where the Islamic State (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) has become active again.

The problem has become systemic, and it is precisely here that the reasons for the ineffective defense against the advancing forces in the current operation lie.

In Idlib, the situation was completely different.

Over the past five years, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham has successfully centralized its presence in the region.

Most of the disparate formations were brought together under a single military command called Al-Fatah al-Mubin. Groups that did not want to integrate fell into disgrace.

In addition, the HTS militants have been constantly training, taking into account the realities of modern warfare. For example, in the current offensive, the militants are effectively using strike and FPV drones. All this has greatly contributed to the rapid pace of their offensive and tactical success.

It is noteworthy that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham announced the need for the operation several months ago, which was explained by internal reasons. Today, there is a high level of discontent among residents in Idlib with the actions of HTS and the Syrian Salvation Government controlled by it. The region has faced constant protests.

This is why a military operation could quell popular discontent and increase support for HTS. Most residents of the province share opposition views, so an attack on government positions could be welcomed by them.

THE TURKS COULDN'T HELP BUT KNOW
To fully understand the situation, it is important to say that today the north and northwest of Syria are divided into two zones. One of them is under the control of the Syrian Interim Government (SIG) and the other is under the control of the Syrian Salvation Government (SSG). Both political bodies are opposition forces.

It is noteworthy that these zones are actually Turkish protectorates, where Turkish troops are present. Moreover, many opposition structures are financed by Ankara. For example, the "Syrian National Army" (SNA) has actually become a "proxy force" of Turkey. And its units are also participating in the current operation.

All this indicates that Ankara could not have been unaware of the militants' impending offensive. Especially since shortly before the start of the fighting, Turkey transferred short-range air defense systems to Idlib.

It is quite possible that the operation is an attempt to put pressure on Damascus by Ankara, especially in the matter of normalizing relations. Thus, the topic of restoring ties between the two countries has been raised for several years now. The process was initially launched at the end of 2022, but was completely stopped in the spring. An attempt was made to reboot the process this summer, but it was also unsuccessful.

The main obstacle to the talks is the hardline position of the Syrian government. As a precondition for normalization, Damascus demands that Ankara withdraw its troops from northern Syria.

The current militant offensive may be a demonstration that Turkey still plays a key role in the Syrian conflict. The military and political situation in the north and northwest of the country depends on it.

In addition, there is a possibility that Turkey will take advantage of the current situation and launch its fourth operation in the north-east of the SAR. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan first announced it in the spring of 2022, but it has not yet been carried out.

Ankara constantly talks about the need to unite all Turkish protectorates into a single security zone. This is precisely the stated goal of the future operation.

In the north of the Aleppo province, there is also an enclave of Kurdish autonomy with its center in Tel Rifaat, which creates problems for both Turkey itself and the pro-Turkish opposition. This direction may become the most likely for a potential operation. In addition, there are indirect signs confirming this version - in recent days, Ankara has been actively strengthening its group in the Afrin and Azaz regions.

HTS militants seize central Aleppo
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:

See today’s posts, including this one here, here, here, and here.
[ColonelCassad] They held it even during the siege, but now they surrendered it without a fight.

Just note that the city of a million people was surrendered to the SAA practically without a fight. As of 2023, almost 3.9 million people lived there.

Blaming Iran or Russia here is pointless if the Syrian army simply did not defend the second largest city in the country, surrendering it to an enemy group that was not the largest in general, which was many times smaller in numbers than the group that unsuccessfully stormed Aleppo in the summer and fall of 2016.

Of course, Russia could not hold the city without the Syrians, considering that there were only SSO and VKS there. There were no our regulars or Wagner there in any significant numbers.

Just as there were no Lebanese from Hezbollah, who at the most critical moment of the militants' offensive in 2016 through Ramuseh stood to the death at a cement plant and did not let the enemy through. The main forces of Hezbollah are now busy in Lebanon. Iranian proxies are mostly deployed in other regions of Syria. They needed 5 days to deploy in the Aleppo region, which of course no one gave them.

The consequences of what happened for Syria will be serious. The Kurds in Tal Rifat will get it, the situation for the IRGC will become more complicated, and the pressure on our positions in Latakia will most likely increase.

And the question hangs in the air - where will the happy runaway in Aleppo province stop?

And what else can be surrendered in the same miraculous way. The number of those willing to check this out in the near future will clearly increase.

Syria Loses Aleppo

Syria is in the process of losing control of Aleppo.

Not only has the entire countryside west of Aleppo been lost, but also part of the western quarters of the city, which were taken with such difficulty in 2016.

Syrian troops for the most part do not offer resistance and simply flee, abandoning equipment and ammunition. There are cases of bribery of a number of Syrian commanders. The Republican Guard division simply fell apart without any serious pressure.

Individual counterattacks and resistance centers do not cancel the simple fact of the collapse of a large section of the front, in which a huge hole now gapes. Who is to blame for this - the debriefing is yet to come.

There are almost no Russian troops there (only the special forces and aviation are working), as well as not very many Iranians and Lebanese, so holding the front is problematic. The HTS and SNA can afford to lose several hundred militants. The capture of Aleppo will write off everything, especially since they have already collected a lot of trophies, and they will recruit more cheap meat.

There is a high probability that in the near future the enemy will occupy either part or the entire city. If the SAA holds at least part of eastern Aleppo, this will be a hook for subsequent operations to restore control over the city. I really hope that they will succeed in at least this.

In the event of a complete loss of the city, this will be the biggest defeat for the SAA since 2016, as well as a serious image blow to Russia and Iran.

A kind of remake of Palmyra-2016.

If the city is lost, it will be difficult to return it, not to mention the fact that it will be worked over by aviation and artillery once again.

The city's population is now saving itself, the governor has already said what will happen to the Kurds in Aleppo, as well as in the Tal Rifat area, an interesting question.

Overall, the situation is difficult.

Russian Aerospace Forces Eliminated at Least 200 Militants in Aleppo and Idlib in 24 Hours
[Regnum] At least 200 militants of the terrorist organization Jabhat al-Nusra and other groups were eliminated within 24 hours by the Russian Aerospace Forces in the Syrian provinces of Aleppo and Idlib. This was announced at a briefing on November 29 by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria, Captain 1st Rank Oleg Ignasyuk.

“The Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides has recorded a continued escalation of the situation in the Syrian Arab Republic as a result of the terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) and other radical opposition armed groups launching a joint offensive against the positions of Syrian government forces in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib,” Ignasyuk said.

The operation to repel the aggression of extremist groups continues. The Russian Aerospace Forces are carrying out missile and bomb strikes on the equipment and manpower of the militants, as well as on the command posts, artillery positions and infrastructure of the terrorists.

Earlier, Regnum News Agency reported that militants entered several areas of the Syrian city of Aleppo, where large-scale clashes with the Syrian government army began. Armed groups are seeking to seize a research center located in one of the remote areas of Aleppo. The fighting in Aleppo has become the largest in Syria since March 2020, when Turkey and Russia mediated a ceasefire agreement in the country.

On November 27, armed groups of Syrian militants launched an offensive against the Syrian army positions in the Aleppo region. They captured 13 settlements and the largest base of the government army.

Later, Syrian militants announced that they had captured the city of Urm al-Kubra, located 20 km from Aleppo. During the fighting, 37 representatives of the Syrian Armed Forces and allied units were killed.

Al-Mayadeen TV reported on November 29 that government forces had launched a counteroffensive against the positions of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) militants in Aleppo and Idlib. Government forces had liberated the city of Al-Bakoum.

Among the militants who attacked Aleppo were many foreign mercenaries
Numerous foreign mercenaries have been identified among the militants who attacked the Syrian provinces of Aleppo and Idlib. This was reported on November 29 by the command of the Syrian armed forces.
How many are ISIS remnants or Turkic tribals hired by the Turkish army as paramilitary auxilliaries years ago, as opposed to jihad tourists?
“Our armed forces continue to repel attacks on the Aleppo and Idlib fronts, which were undertaken by terrorist groups <…> their formations are based on a large number of units of foreign mercenaries,” the command said in a statement on its official Facebook page (a product of the Meta company, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

The department also reported that the army had transferred reinforcements to Aleppo and Idlib to repel attacks by militants. Government troops managed to regain control of a number of territories. Representatives of the Syrian Armed Forces emphasize that the operation will continue until the enemy is completely driven out of the territories it has captured.

Aleppo, the second most important city in Syria, was completely liberated from militants in December 2016 with the active assistance of the Russian Armed Forces.

Syrian militants break through to several districts of Aleppo - media
Militants entered several areas of the Syrian city of Aleppo, where large-scale clashes with the Syrian government army began. This was reported on November 29 by the Turkish publication Anadolu.

Anti-government groups have entered the city from the west and are trying to take control of it. According to several media outlets, armed groups are trying to seize a research center located in one of the remote areas of Aleppo.

The Syrian army command confirmed the deployment of reinforcements to Aleppo and the neighboring province of Idlib to repel terrorist attacks. The fighting in Aleppo has become the largest in Syria since March 2020, when Turkey and Russia mediated a ceasefire agreement in the country. Representatives of the Syrian Armed Forces emphasized that the operation will continue until the enemy is completely driven out of the territories it has captured.

In Syria, militants shelled residential areas of the cities of Nubbol and Zahra
In the Syrian province of Aleppo, militants shelled residential areas of the cities of Zahra and Nubbol. This was reported on Friday, November 29, by the Syrian state broadcasting agency.

“Armed terrorist groups fired mortars at residential areas of Nubbol and Zahra in the north of Aleppo province,” the media writes.

The settlements of Nubbol and Zahra, where predominantly Shiite Muslims live, were encircled by terrorist gangs in 2012. In 2016, the Syrian army, with the support of allied forces, managed to unblock the city and take it under full control.

Satellite Analysis Shows Enormity Of Secretive Oil Shipping Hub Funneling Iranian Crude To China-Imagine That!
[ZeroHedge] A recent report in Bloomberg has collected and analyzed five years of satellite images monitoring the South China Sea off Malaysia to detail something which should come as no surprise: Iran and China's sanction-busting activity regarding Iranian oil exports has been going strong.

The working assumption of the report is that it is Washington's responsibility - and that of its global allies - to better monitor and enforce sanctions. Bloomberg is essentially calling on American Empire to better enforce its stranglehold on the Islamic Republic. But this is precisely what President-elect Donald Trump is vowing to do when he enters the Oval Office in January.

Trump's pledged 'maximum pressure' campaign on Iran is likely to have huge repercussions for Beijing as well, given as the world's biggest buyer of oil China would face a squeeze on its flow of cheap Iranian crude to its shores. Iranian crude has been estimated to make up about 13% of its supply imports.

Trump's national security advisor pick, Mike Walz, has pledged to stop or greatly reduce Iran's petroleum revenue, which the US says will have positive benefits for the Ukraine and Gaza wars from a US policy perspective.

He said the incoming administration will strongly engage China toward reducing its purchases of Iranian oil. But the aforementioned Bloomberg investigation shows that business is booming.

"Forty miles east of the Malaysian peninsula sits the world’s largest gathering point for dark fleet tankers. Aging ships, often operating under flags of convenience and without insurance, come here daily to transfer cargo away from prying eyes. It’s how billions of dollars of sanctioned Iranian oil finds its way to China annually — even though the country, officially, hasn’t imported a drop in more than two years," the report begins.

"A Bloomberg analysis of nearly five years of satellite images from the hotspot shows the vast size of the shadow industry that’s developed as the US has tightened its sanctions on Iran," the report continues.

"It’s impossible to gauge precisely how much oil is moving via this channel. But even making conservative assumptions about tanker size, the data suggest some 350 million barrels of oil changed hands in this hotspot in the first nine months of this year," Bloomberg speculates.

"Taking into account the average oil price for 2024 and the discount applied to sanctioned crude, that amounts to more than $20 billion. The true value is likely far higher."

One approach the Trump administration could take is to go after those Chinese companies involved in the 'illicit' trade through secondary sanctions:

For Tehran, in need of revenue and desperately short of willing buyers, the South China Sea gambit is a means of survival. For China, which isn’t bound by and doesn’t recognize US-imposed curbs on Iran, the gymnastics of this network of intermediaries and shell company-owned vessels offers a way for its small refineries to access cheap oil. It also conveniently shields key Chinese corporations from secondary sanctions. (The US can restrict or exclude entirely access to its financial system for any company or person found trading with Iran.)

The government of Malaysia appears to have been looking the other way as well:

The maritime hub is a direct threat to Western efforts to curb revenue going to Tehran, Moscow and Caracas and an illustration of why sanctions are so hard to enforce. US President-elect Donald Trump has said he plans to increase pressure on Iran upon returning to office, but these extensive networks that move dark oil around the globe typically operate without the overt involvement of large entities. The situation was a source of frustration even for the current US administration, which called on Malaysia to do more to tackle gaps such as this one, with little success.

As for these failed "Western efforts" at enforcement, Washington, London, Brussels and Paris might just have to face up to the reality that they cannot control all trade which happens in the world. When they go 'imperial' against the Global South, these countries will push back harder, only finding better avenues and ways to navigate, to thwart and circumvent sanctions.

As of noon Friday ET:
Assad Loyalists and Russians in Headlong Retreat After Surprise Rebel Offensive on Aleppo

[RedState] A surprise offensive by a coalition of anti-Assad groups has captured the key city of Aleppo and sent Assad's troops and their Russian auxiliaries into a retreat to find more defensible lines. The offensive is led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, a faction that until 2017 was considered to be a subsidiary of Al Qaeda. It is allied with several Turkish-backed militias during this offensive. Official reports place the insurgent forces inside Aleppo, but social media reports indicate that Aleppo has fallen except for isolated pockets of resistance.

Russian aircraft flying in support of the Assad regime have responded in the most Russian way possible. They are bombing population centers held by the "Free Syrian Army."

Video and imagery of dead Russian troops, both special forces and private military corporations, are appearing.

The situation is very unclear, but it appears that Assad's army has evaporated in the area of the offensive. It remains to be seen if those troops can be rallied and a defensive line reestablished or if Assad will soon be heading for exile in some place that doesn't have an extradition treaty with France.

As of 7 p.m. Israel/Syrian time:
Jihadists, Turkish-backed allies enter Aleppo in lightning assault on Syrian regime
[IsraelTimes] Alliance led by Al-Qaeda’s former Syria branch take control of some 50 towns and villages in Assad regime’s biggest loss of territory in years

Jihadists and their Ottoman Turkish-backed allies reached Aleppo, Syria’s second-largest city, on Friday, as they pressed a lightning offensive against forces of the Iranian- and Russian-backed government.

The fighting is some of the deadliest in years, with 255 people killed, according to the Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Most of the dead have been combatants but the toll also includes 24 civilians, most killed in Russian air strikes. SOHR, which relies on a network of sources inside Syria and is of unclear funding, has been accused in the past of inflating regime losses.

The offensive began on Wednesday, the same day that a fragile ceasefire took effect in neighboring Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
between Israel and Iran-backed terror group Hezbollah.

By Friday, the jihadists and their allies had wrested control of more than 50 towns and villages in the north, according to the Britannia-based Observatory, in the government’s biggest loss of territory in years.

They then entered western districts of Aleppo, a city of some two million people that was Syria’s pre-war manufacturing hub.

"Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
(HTS) and allied factions... were able to enter the outskirts of the al-Hamdaniya and New Aleppo neighborhoods... after carrying out twin suicide kabooms with two booby-trapped cars," the war monitor said.

HTS, a jihadist alliance led by al-Qaeda’s former Syria branch, shelled a student residence in the city, killing four civilians, state media reported.

Syrian and Russian warplanes launched intense air strikes on the rebel enclave around Idlib, where the jihadists are based, carrying out 23 raids, according to the Observatory.

Army reinforcements have arrived in Aleppo, a Syrian security official told AFP, requesting anonymity to discuss sensitive matters. An army statement said troops had repelled the assault on the city and retaken some positions.

The United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said "more than 14,000 people —- nearly half are children — have been displaced" by the violence.

Aleppo resident Sarmad, 51, told AFP he could hear "the sounds of missiles and artillery shelling around the clock."

On Thursday, the jihadists and their allies cut the highway linking Aleppo to the capital Damascus, some 300 kilometers (185 miles) south, the Observatory said.

INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS
Kremlin front man Dmitry Peskov on Friday described the situation in Aleppo as "an infringement on the illusory sovereignty of Syria."

He expressed support for "the government of Syria to quickly restore order in this district."

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi pledged "continued support for the government, nation and army of Syria," in a phone call with his Syrian counterpart Bassam al-Sabbagh, according to a statement.

The Idlib area has been subject to a Ottoman Turkish- and Russian-brokered truce since 2020. The ceasefire has been repeatedly violated but had largely held.

An AFP correspondent in the rebel enclave saw jihadists advancing in tanks as intense exchanges of fire took place in an area just seven kilometers (a little over four miles) from Aleppo. AFP images showed abandoned army tanks and other military vehicles.

The correspondent said the jihadists and their The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
-backed allies took orders from a joint operations command.

Analyst Nick Heras, of the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy, said the fighters were "trying to preempt the possibility of a Syrian military campaign in the region of Aleppo."

According to Heras, the Syrian government and its key backer Russia had been preparing for such a campaign. Russia intervened in Syria in 2015, turning the tide of the civil war that broke out four years earlier in favor of the government, whose forces at the time had lost control of most of the country.

’TOTALLY UNPREPARED’
Other interests are also at stake.

As well as Russia, Syrian President Bashir al-Assad has been propped up by Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. and allied groups, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah. Iran-backed militias have a heavy presence in the Aleppo region after providing crucial ground support to the army in its recapture of rebel-held areas of the city in 2016.

Heras said anti-government forces are "in a better position to take and seize villages than Russian-backed Syrian government forces, while the Iranians are focused on Lebanon."

Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman said government forces "were totally unprepared" for the attack.

"It is strange to see regime forces being dealt such big blows despite Russian air cover and early signs that HTS was going to launch this operation," Abdel Rahman said.

"Were they depending on Hezbollah, which is now busy in Lebanon?"

Another rumor tied to situation

Syrian authorities close Aleppo airport, cancel all flights — military source
[IsraelTimes] Syrian authorities have closed Aleppo airport and canceled all flights, a military source tells Reuters, as Syrian rebels opposed to President Bashar Assad say they reached the heart of the northern city of Aleppo.

Rudaw adds the Kurdish perspective:
Clashes between rebels and the army in Syria’s most populous city Aleppo and its countryside have claimed the lives of over 250 people, including civilians, according to a war monitor. Damascus said the escalation serves the objectives of Israel.

"Inshallah, the liberators will enter Aleppo," Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
(HTS) leader Abu Mohammad al-Jolani said in a video published by opposition media outlets on Friday evening.

He issued directives to his fighters before entering the city, including asking them not to enter people’s houses or commit violations.

The jihadist HTS are leading rebel forces in a surprise offensive launched on Wednesday, seizing territory from government troops for the first time in years. They entered the city of Aleppo on Friday afternoon after taking several villages, according to Syrian opposition media.

The Syrian army said in a statement that they continue to "confront the large-scale attack launched by the armed terrorist organizations" and claimed that the rebel groups have used heavy and medium weaponry as well as drones. It also said that a large number of imported muscle are among them.

"Our armed forces have inflicted heavy losses on the attacking organizations, resulting in hundreds of dead and injured terrorists. Dozens of vehicles and armored carriers have been destroyed, and 17 drones have been shot down and destroyed," the army claimed.

As of Friday, the festivities have claimed the lives of 255 people: 144 rebels, 87 Syrian soldiers and pro-government militia, and 24 civilians, according to a tally by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

HTS, a former branch of al-Qaeda, is the prominent force among dozens of rebel factions in the northwest. The group, which has been internationally recognized as a terror organization, controls large swathes of Idlib as well as parts of Aleppo, Hama, and Latakia provinces.

The festivities have driven large numbers of people from their homes.

Kurdish authorities in northeast Syria (Rojava) called on their institutions to "facilitate the passage of people" fleeing the conflict.

Farhad Shami, spokesperson for the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), told Ronahi TV that they are following the developments and said their arch-enemy The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
is behind the HTS-led offensive.

"Our mission is to protect our people and territories... The SDF will act as needed," he added.

Kurdish forces of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) control one neighbourhood in Aleppo as well as Tal Rifaat north of the city, located within a small region of Afrin. Hundreds of thousands of Kurds who fled Turkey’s 2018 military offensive in Afrin are still living in camps in Tal Rifaat.

Rudaw English asked a senior Rojava official about the possibility of a Ottoman Turkish attack on Tal Rifaat.

"Everything is possible now. Tal Rifaat is under threat," said the official, who did not want to be named due to the sensitivity of the matter.
Rebel commander in the Jaish al-Izza rebel brigade

Mustafa Abdul Jaber said the speedy advance was due to insufficient Iran-backed manpower in the broader province. Iran’s allies in the region have suffered a series of blows at the hands of Israel as the Gaza war expanded to the Middle East.

Opposition sources in touch with Turkish intelligence said Turkey had given a green light to the offensive. But Turkish foreign ministry spokesperson Oncu Keceli said Turkey sought to avoid greater instability in the region and had warned that recent attacks undermined de-escalation agreements.

David Carden, UN Deputy Regional Humanitarian Coordinator for the Syria Crisis, said:
“Relentless attacks over the past three days have claimed the lives of at least 27 civilians, including children as young as eight years old,” he told Reuters. “Civilians and civilian infrastructure are not targets and must be protected under International Humanitarian Law.”

Syrian state news agency SANA said four civilians including two students were killed on Friday in Aleppo by insurgent shelling of university student dormitories. It was not clear if they were among the 27 dead reported by the UN official.

Russian and Syrian warplanes bombed the area near the border with Turkey on Thursday to try to push back the insurgent offensive.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said “more than 14,000 people –- nearly half are children — have been displaced” by the violence.

And why does Trump need to do anything at all about Syria? Let them be Syrians, whatever that is, as long as they stay in Syria and don't come here.
