Louis Vuitton Store, so probably was.

Not that it was REALLY worth that much, but the retail pricing says it is.

Does that include the 800+ Martin Luther King Jr. renamed streets?

Not that MLK was racist. Just the "racist" reason it was used by the Democrats to rake in Black votes.

BTW: The North and Western states need to catch up.
Because over 70% of those streets are in 8 Southern US States.

We Are ‘Ready to Defend Our Country,' Says Ukrainian Official amid Russian Build-up
[National Review] Halifax, Canada — A top adviser to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky declared that his country is ready to stare Russian president Vladimir Putin, amid a massive buildup of Russian troops and military equipment that the U.S. and its allies worry might foreshadow a further assault. Kyiv is already fighting a deadly conflict against Russian-backed forces occupying vast swaths of the eastern part of Ukraine.

"Are we afraid of Russia’s aggression? No. We have paid a huge price for this. Fourteen thousand of our citizens have died in this war," said Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of Ukraine’s national-security and defense council, at the Halifax International Security Forum this evening. "Putin will not have an easy walk by our country. We are ready to defend our country."

The Ukrainian official, a top adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky, was addressing reporters on the sidelines of the annual meeting after planned appearances by the Ukrainian foreign and defense ministers at the forum were scrapped as Kyiv anticipates a potential Russian attack.

Hundreds protest Rittenhouse acquittal across US
Putting today’s tweets into perspective.
[Yahoo] Law enforcement in Portland
...a formerly lovely city in Oregon, governed by an unholy alliance of communists, anarchists, and incompetents. In 2017 the city was named as the fifth most business-friendly in the nation. It took only three years for the city to degenerate to the point where it became a national embarrassment, with antifa and Black Lives Matter bullying taxpayers and occasionally shooting one as an example to the others...
declared a riot Friday night as about 200 demonstrators protested the acquittal of a teen who killed two people and injured another in Wisconsin.

The protesters were breaking windows, throwing objects at police and talking about burning down a local government building in downtown Portland, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said. The crowd had dispersed by about 11 p.m., KOIN TV reported.

Government Corruption
Whistleblower Videos Capture Pennsylvania Election Officials Destroying Evidence
[Federalist] A complaint alleges Pennslyvania election officials were tearing tapes 'into pieces and placing ... them into the trash stating they will have a campfire to burn the data.'

Several residents of Delaware County Pennsylvania (i.e. SW Philadelphia) filed a sprawling lawsuit Thursday against the former Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar, Delaware County, the Delaware County Board of Elections, and more than a dozen individual election officials. The lawsuit followed Wednesday’s night release of videotapes taken by a whistleblower capturing concerning behavior by several election officials in the Keystone state.

A source familiar with the lawsuit provided access to the tapes, noting the then-unnamed whistleblower had come forward with video evidence purporting to show Delaware County, Pennsylvania election officials destroying records from the November 2020 general election. The videos were also filed with the complaint and a bevy of exhibits the plaintiffs maintain support the allegations contained in their 91-page complaint.

The complaint, filed by Delaware County residents, Ruth Moton, Leah Hoopes, Gregory Stenstrom, as well as the Friends of Ruth Motion campaign, prevented both detailed alleged violations of state election law during the November 2020 election and claims of a conspiracy after the election to hide the numerous problems and illegalities that occurred during the last presidential election.

While the minutia of the election law recited in the complaint may escape the public’s notice, allegations that the defendants conspired to destroy or alter election data, materials, and equipment, "to prevent the discovery of the fraudulent results of the November 3, 2020 election, and the violation of various state and federal election laws," when coupled with the videos, may finally awaken the sleeping masses to the cause of election integrity.

A May 21, 2021 request for 2020 election data and information submitted to Delaware County under Pennsylvania’s Right to Know Law served as an impetus for the alleged conspiracy and cover-up, as the complaint told the story.

A week later after the Right to Know request, a conversation is captured between two individuals, identified by those with knowledge of the lawsuit, as James Allen, the Director of Election Operations for Delaware County, and Jim Savage, identified by Delaware County’s directory as the Chief Custodian/Voting Machine Warehouse Supervisor.

In that video provided to The Federalist, Allen is heard telling Savage, "Then get rid of the pads and the second scanners."

"We can’t talk about it anymore," Savage replies, with Allen questioning, "Why?" "It’s a felony," Allen countered.

The complaint added more texture to this video, alleging that Savage then "encouraged a private conversation to continue the conversation of the removal of the pads and scanners due to other Delaware County employees and [contract employee] Regina Miller," being present.

The following month the whistleblower filmed a conversation she had with another Delaware County official, James Ziegelhoffer, according to a source with knowledge of the lawsuit. Ziegelhoffer, also known as Ziggy, held the position of "Judge of Election" for the Western Precinct in the Media Borough.

This tape purports to capture Ziggy saying, "What we have here . . . is evidence. Right? Let them figure that out."

The whistleblower interjects, "Yes, but what I don’t understand and this makes — honestly this makes me nervous. Is why tapes were being thrown away?"

Ziggy begins to deny the claim, "No, no tapes were," when the Whistleblower cuts him off:

"No, you guys have been throwing away tapes ... so what tapes are you throwing away? Like why?"

"They’re all unidentifiable," he counters before the whistleblower interrupts again:

"But it’s been that way since the November elections, so why would you throw anything away. Because you have to save it for 22 months," the unnamed source is heard saying in the video, a reference to federal retention mandates.

"Yes there are tapes that are being tossed," Ziggy finally acknowledges, but adds, "but they are of no audit value."

A third video appears filmed in the same large room and captures a man identified by individuals with knowledge of the lawsuit as a Delaware County lawyer, Tom Gallager. As Gallager tears the tapes from the voting machines and discards them, the whistleblower can be heard asking: "Tom, why do you have to rip it up? Makes you feel better?"

"At this point," Gallager replies, "I don’t want anybody to pick it up, and thinking we threw stuff away."

"We’re gonna have a little campfire going," Ziggy adds.

Chicago mayor needs to dump police boss if ‘crime pandemic' isn't addressed, critic says
[FoxNews] Mayor Lori Lightfoot claims the "root causes" of crime are complex -- and accuses a city alderman of being "ill-informed" about the topic.

During the past month or so, thieves have struck at least seven times at stores in the city’s most upscale neighborhoods, according to the station.

George Cardenas, a city alderman, says such incidents are part of a "crime pandemic" sweeping the city. That pandemic also includes a murder rate that is up 3% so far over last year and 59% over 2019, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

That rise in murders comes despite Chicago police Supt. David Brown making a murder-rate drop one of his chief goals after taking the job in April 2020, the newspaper reported.

Chicago has also seen nearly 4,000 people shot this year, also an increase from last year. And carjackings are up more than 30%, with more than 1,800 such incidents this year, the Sun-Times reported.

Cardenas is calling on Mayor Lori Lightfoot to dump Brown and his leadership team if the situation doesn’t improve soon.

"They need to step it up in a big way and stop this crime pandemic themselves," Cardenas told the Sun-Times last week. "They need to find a way to recruit more people. That’s on them. The mayor can only do so much."

"You’ve got to make changes when things aren’t working out," he added later.

Lightfoot, however, dismissed the criticism from Cardenas, blaming the city’s crime problem, in part, on the coronavirus pandemic.

The crimes have occurred mostly in the Magnificent Mile area, the popular shopping and tourism area that includes Michigan Avenue and nearby streets in the downtown section.

Other crimes have taken place in the Near North Side district, a short distance away from the Magnificent Mile.

Lightfoot, a former Chicago Police Board president, supported Brown for the city’s top police job after his predecessor, Eddie Johnson, was found drunk inside his vehicle in 2019.

But some city aldermen have complained that Brown has been too low-profile during important incidents such as a police-involved shooting of a 13-year-old boy.

The mayor defended her appointee by noting that all city crime was down under Brown, except for murders, shootings and carjackings, the Sun-Times reported.

Science & Technology
Flying Cars: What, How, When, and Why?
[Quillett] Futurists and science fiction writers were discussing the possibility of flying cars even before the appearance of cars and highways. As a concept, they have existed for nearly a century. Today, "flying cars" are an esoteric topic and an ambiguous term that refers to something more than simply a car that can fly. The idea has evolved and it is still evolving. For decades, the idea lacked interest and funding, but it has experienced a resurgence of attention over the last decade. Its comeback is the result of research into electric car technology and autonomous vehicles, and of interest from tech-billionaires who are willing to create start-ups to support their development.

Although flying car technology has been around for nearly a hundred years, these machines face an uncertain future. The current models are noisy, expensive, require heavy batteries, and present safety and security issues for passengers and anyone in their path. Assuming engineers can overcome the technical hurdles, are there compelling reasons to develop flying cars? And are their benefits greater than their potential risks?

Where is my flying car?

Talk of flying cars in the 1930s suffered from unfortunate timing, says J. Storrs Hall. In his new book, Where Is My Flying Car?, he argues that research stalled because the Great Depression, and then World War II diverted a good portion of the available engineering talent.

The earliest prototypes included the convertible and domed versions of the autogyro. For propulsion, they used autorotation, whereby a headwind turns a rotor and causes the vehicle to rise into the air. In 1949, the Aerocar was introduced—a hybrid airplane and automobile that could be driven on roads by folding up the wings and detaching the propeller. The Aerocar was granted civil certification in 1956, but there were not enough interested buyers to justify mass production. Consequently, only six Aerocars were built.

California Nordstrom ransacked by 80 looters in ski masks with crowbars and weapons: Witness
[FoxNews] About 80 looters in ski masks ransacked a Nordstrom location outside of San Francisco, in a scene described by witnesses as "insane" and like something "out of a movie."

"We probably saw 50 to 80 people in ski masks crowbars a bunch of weapons. They were looting the Nordstrom's right here. And I thought they were going to start beating cars. I had to start locking doors lock the front door lock the back door," local PF Chang's manager Brett Barrette told KGO.

"There was a mob of people," Barrette added to CBS SF. "The police were flying in. It was like a scene out of a movie. It was insane."

The incident unfolded before 9 p.m. on Saturday evening in Walnut Creek, which is about 25 miles outside San Francisco. A local reporter tweeted footage of the scene and said about 25 cars pulled up outside of the Nordstrom before running in, grabbing merchandise and fleeing.

Science & Technology
Vaccinated English adults under 60 are dying at twice the rate of unvaccinated people the same age
[ALEXBERENSON] And have been for six months. This chart may seem unbelievable or impossible, but it's correct, based on weekly data from the British government.

The brown line represents weekly deaths from all causes of vaccinated people aged 10-59, per 100,000 people.

The blue line represents weekly deaths from all causes of unvaccinated people per 100,000 in the same age range.

I have checked the underlying dataset myself and this graph is correct. Vaccinated people under 60 are twice as likely to die as unvaccinated people. And overall deaths in Britain are running well above normal.

I don’t know how to explain this other than vaccine-caused mortality.

The basic data is available here, download the Excel file and see table 4:

#1  I don't get this.

The death rates here, if I read it correctly, come to about 100 for the vaxxed and about 40 for the unvaxxed for each 100k in population.

The overall death rate in the UK (and most of the world) is about 500-1000 for every 100k in population.

I'm not sure how to age average this because I don't know the demo profile of the UK nor the death rate by age but these two pieces of info would be needed to try to figure this out.

Also, in persons under 60, there may be a tendency for less healthy people to be vaxxed sooner than healthy people and since the death rate is 'all causes', that might be a factor.

#4  LG,
This is being reported in all countries with a high vax rate.
Using the 2017-2019 US death rate as a baseline, 2020 had a similar death rate. The 2021 US rate of death is already higher than the previous year. This, in many countries is being attributed to the vaccine injuries. Vaccine Injuries are reactions to the (usually second dose) jab within the first two weeks. The second dosers are considered unvaxed until two weeks after the second dose, thereby referred to as an unvaxed death.
As people start their third dose there will be more vaccine reactions and death. More lock downs and masking because of the booster.

Top US admiral warns about China threat at Halifax forum
[ABC] HALIFAX, Nova Scotia -- The head of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command said Saturday the United States and its allies need to operate with a greater sense of urgency amid rising tensions and China’s increasingly assertive military actions.

Adm. John C. Aquilino reaffirmed America’s commitment to achieving a free and open Indo-Pacific region during meetings with allies at the Halifax International Security Forum.

"Look at what the Chinese have said. President Xi (Jinping) has tasked his forces to be at a level of military parity with the United States by 2027. Those are his words," Aquilino said in a meeting with journalists.

Aquilino said the U.S. and its allies need to work together more frequently in international waters to build interoperability so they can operate together quickly if needed.

"We need to deliver capabilities sooner and faster," he said

Tensions have heightened as the Chinese military has dispatched an increasing number of fighter jets near the self-ruled island of Taiwan, which Beijing considers part of its territory. China has threatened to use force to unite with it if necessary.

This week Chinese coast guard ships also blocked and sprayed water at two Philippine boats carrying supplies to a disputed South China Sea shoal in a flare-up of long-simmering territorial disputes in the strategic waterway

Navy sailors forced to take out loans after being shorted on pay
[FOX] Some U.S. Navy sailors have been forced to take out loans over months-long delays in pay to some service members who earned increases in their housing allowances this year due to recent marriages or moving somewhere with a higher cost of living.

"This is happening a little bit of everywhere," Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Vice President Gillian Gonzalez said in an interview with Military.com. "It doesn't seem to hit one geographic area more than another."

Gonzalez recounted that her group has seen an uptick in loan applications from sailors who are struggling to keep up with living expenses but did not have an exact figure on the increase.

-Great Cultural Revolution
The 'Diversity' Road to Mediocrity
[PJ] When you are looking for a scientist, an engineer, a designer, or an artist, if the most brilliant, accomplished, and talented candidate is a white male, reject him! White males are not "diverse," are "privileged oppressors," and "overrepresented," so instead hire a member of a "marginalized. underserved minority," such as a person of color, a female, an LGBTQ++ individual, a poor or disabled person. Never mind if the person hired is weaker at the job; "social justice" will have been served. The examples are staggering.

The competition for the 2021 Australian National Jazz Awards for piano was carried out via blind auditions using audio recordings, with the names, faces, and voices of the competitors not disclosed. The ten short-list candidates were all men. Female jazz performers went ballistic, denouncing the results as sexist and unfair. They demanded that blind auditions be done away with and that a quota for female winners be implemented. In other words, the female critics demanded that merit be rejected in favor of enforced parity of the sexes.

An even more egregious case is the competition for the prestigious fellow status for the American Geophysical Union. One committee was appointed to nominate candidates in the cryosphere (Earth’s snow and ice) section. Some of the candidates were described by the female member of the committee as "truly, amazingly deserving." But the nominees, suggested by peers in the Union, were all men. This was too much for the diversicrats on the committee, who felt that "social justice" demanded the nomination of more females, more blacks, and more non-Americans. So the Committee refused to nominate a winner.

The claim made by diversicrats was that there is "implicit bias" against outgroup members, i.e. people who are not white males. It is alleged that members of oppressed victim groups, such as females and people of color, are not recognized for their accomplishments. A study in Scientific Social Studies concluded that prizes in 141 of the world’s top scientific competitions between 2001-2020 went to 2011 men and 262 women. This is a disparity that violates the "equity" argument that all census categories of race, sex, sexuality, etc., must have equal outcomes.

That this disparity is due to "implicit bias" is now claimed about all scientific prizes, such as the Nobel Prizes in science, three percent of which have been given to females, and none to black scientists. The fact that 26% of all scientific Nobel prizes went to Jews, who make up 0.02 percent of the world’s population, raises doubts about the implicit bias thesis, given the almost universal prejudice and widespread discrimination against Jews, who are by far the greatest recipient of religion-directed hate crimes. The alternative hypothesis that awards to Jews and others are based on scientific accomplishments is forbidden by diversicrats.

In just about every institution in what used to be Western Civilization, white males are personae non gratae. Job ads often exclude white men from applying, as is seen in many ads for university positions. This is also true in business. For example, one of the world’s largest investment companies, State Street Global Advisors will require special permission to hire white men as part of the company’s new diversity hiring initiative, according to the company’s head of inclusion, diversity, and corporate citizenship. The company said that "All of our leaders have to demonstrate at their annual appraisals what they have done to improve female representation and the number of colleagues from ethnic-minority backgrounds." The company plans to triple the number of Black, Asian and other minority staff in senior positions by 2023, and if executives don’t meet the quotas, they will face reduced bonuses. No requirement is specified for achievement, merit, or potential.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
How Israel built the world's most accurate military machine
Very long — you’ll want a cup of coffee and a comfy chair to read the whole thing at the link, dear Reader, but here are the highlights:
[Jpost] 2014 was a turning point for the IDF in its battle against Hamas' tunnel systems. Here's how they managed to attack the Gaza Strip with such precision during Operation Guardian of the Walls.

The tunnels were dug by hand and jackhammers, as heavy machinery was out of the question – it would have attracted too much attention from the drones constantly hovering in the skies above.

Every battalion had its assignment and was responsible for the burrowing in its area of operations. Budgets were allocated according to a detailed plan, and deadlines were set for each stage of the project.

One dead, three injured in terrorist attack in Jerusalem's Old City
[Jpost] One person was killed and three were injured in a terrorist attack in Jerusalem's Old City at the foot of the Arab market descending to the Western Wall.

One man was killed and four others were injured in a shooting attack in Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday morning.

Magen David Adom rescue services said that two of the injured were civilians and two were border police officers. One man was taken in critical condition to Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus with head wounds and was later pronounced dead.

A second civilian sustained moderate-to-severe wounds and the border police officers had light injuries.

The attack, that took place at the Chain Gate in the Old City, was the second in less than a week.

Police officers at the scene opened fire at the shooter, an east Jerusalem Palestinian, and killed him, according to police. He was later identified as Fadi Abu Shkhaydam, a 42-year-old resident of Shuafat camp in East Jerusalem and a known Hamas member.

Bar Lev who arrived at the scene of the attack said that Abu Shkhaydam came to pray at the al-Aqsa mosque on a daily basis and that on Sunday he arrived with a Beretta M12 and started shooting.

"There was a difficult incident this morning that was dealt with quickly and professionally by the men and women of the Israel Police," Bar Lev said. The terrorist is affiliated with Hamas' political wing who regularly prayed in the Old City, and whose wife escaped abroad three days ago. He used a standardized weapon that is uncommon in Israel," he said.

It's clear that much of their energy comes from a critical mass of violent felons assembling in cities where they either have recently been or soon will be released for their crimes. Normal policing.

Arresting the likes of Grosskreutz or Huber or JumpKick when they're stopped and found to be in violation of parole, or gun ownership rules, for example -- simple ordinary policing will degrade these savages' ability to attain critical mass in a locality. Like roaches or rats, these vermin will scuttle away from low-opportunity targets toward friendly havens in the Soros-Soviet cities.

Government Corruption
Amid bias rebuke, FBI raids homes of GOP election clerk, conservative activists in Colorado
[Just The News] Even as the Department of Justice Inspector General released a report this week criticizing the politicization of the department, the FBI on Tuesday raided the homes of a Republican election official and several of her associates in Mesa County, Colo., in connection with a dispute about efforts to preserve 2020 election files.

In collaboration with state and county law enforcement, the FBI raided the homes of Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters, Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert's former campaign manager Sherronna Bishop, and two others.

The FBI operations targeting skeptics of the 2020 election results follow the bureau's raids earlier this month on the homes of conservative guerrilla journalist James O'Keefe and several of his associates with Project Veritas.

Numerous elected officials, reporters, and the American Civil Liberties Union have voiced their concerns about potential infringement of press freedom by the FBI and Justice Department in the O'Keefe raid. These fears were exacerbated when information collected in the raid was published in the New York Times, which has been defending itself against a lawsuit filed by Project Veritas.

Deliveryman Distracts, Shoots Two Armed Robbers
[Breitbart] A deliveryman in Philadelphia’s Mayfair neighborhood shot two alleged armed robbers Saturday after distracting them by telling them the money was in his car.

WPVI reports that the deliveryman had dropped off something at his own home at approximately 12:15 a.m. Saturday when alleged "armed teens" confronted him and demanded his money.

The deliveryman told them he kept the money in the car, and the teens turned their attention to the vehicle. As they did, the deliveryman pulled his own gun and opened fire, shooting two of them.

A third teen fled the scene.

NBC 10 notes that the two wounded teens were taken to the hospital and listed as critical.

The deliveryman is a concealed carry permit holder.

Turkey bombards Ain Issa town in north Syria
[NPASYRIA] On Saturday, Ottoman Turkish forces and affiliated armed factions bombed M4 Highway west of Ain Issa town, north Syria.

The villages of Hoshan, Khalidiya and M4 Highway were subjected to artillery and missile attacks, military source of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said.

The indiscriminate shelling started an hour ago, and damaged houses.

"In the eastern countryside of the town of Ain Issa, in particular in the village of Sherkrak, the mercenary snipers of the Ottoman Turkish occupation created additional problems for the residents of the area, who have become the target of the mercenaries, especially when they go out to the farms. This prevents the residents from cultivating their lands and getting their daily food," the SDF announced on November 10.

How California Teachers Recruit Kids Into LGBTQ Clubs
[Epoch Times] A leaked audio recording revealed California teachers mocking parents over concerns about homosexual and transgender indoctrination at school, said a source who attended a recent teachers union conference in Palm Springs.

The recording, obtained by The Epoch Times, captured two seventh-grade teachers, Kelly Baraki and Lori Caldeira from Buena Vista Middle School in Salinas, Calif., telling other teachers how to recruit students into LGBTQ clubs, also known as "Gay-Straight Alliance" (GSA) clubs, at school.

"It was horrifying to listen to not just one teacher but really all of the teachers in all of these seminars, excoriating parents," said the source, who goes by the pseudonym Rebecca Murphy.

Murphy attended the California Teachers Association (CTA) conference in late October. She told The Epoch Times the teachers "mocked" parents for their concerns, and suggested they know better than parents about what's best for their children.
Coast to coast, the same opinion of parents.

Takis Mag: Cancel Away!
NEW YORK—I’ve never met anyone named Othello, certainly not in Venice nor in Cyprus, but perhaps there are men by that name in Africa. The only one referred to as Othello, but always behind his back, was the greatest of all Russians, Alexander Pushkin: “As jealous as Othello but twice as dark,” was what les mauvaises langues in court called the great poet. Pushkin had a great-grandfather general who was Ethiopian.

I’ll get back to Othello in a jiffy, but first a few words about marital jealousy and Pushkin. The poet got a bee in his bonnet early on after marrying the beautiful but coquettish Natalia because she flirted, harmlessly but nevertheless disastrously. Innocent flirting might be fun in the English shires where men are more interested in killing birds and chasing foxes, but not where hot-blooded Russians are concerned.

That’s where the Dutch ambassador’s bum-boy and adopted son, George D’Anthes, who swung both ways, comes into the story. The palace buzzed with gossip as D’Anthes danced nonstop with Natalia and flirted with her outrageously. Pushkin immediately challenged him to a duel, but the Dutch ambassador tried to cool him down and had his bum-boy son ask Ekaterina, Natalia’s sister, to become his wife. In no time Georgie Porgie became Pushkin’s brother-in-law. The Tsar declared the case closed.

The poet did not fall for it, however—and rightly so. He challenged again and presented himself ready to fight without a second. D’Anthes the coward—he was an officer and familiar with weapons—shot first, mortally wounding Alexander the great. Like most cowards, D’Anthes lived to a ripe old age and died in Paris early in the 20th century.

So far so bad, as far as sexual jealousy is concerned. It certainly did in Pushkin, who should have known all about Othello and that psychopathic swine Iago, who at least got his comeuppance. Now Othello is back in the news, but not that American students have suddenly discovered Shakespeare. To the contrary, they think the Bard should not be taught because he’s all the things they hate and that I like, but we know all that already.

No, the reason Othello is back in the news is because at the University of Michigan, a Chinese-born professor showed the sensitive ones a film of Othello starring Laurence Olivier. Larry appeared as the melancholy Moor in blackface makeup; students were “offended” and all hell broke loose. The irony is that the professor who showed the clips was himself a victim during the Chinese Cultural Revolution and had been roughed up by the Red Guards.

Former terrorist turned Intelligence agent kidnapped in Mogadishu
[Garowe] An agent working with Somalia's National Intelligence Security Agency [NISA] was reportedly kidnapped in Mogadishu, the Somali capital, just amid an ongoing probe into the missing of another agent, Ikran Tahlil.

Moalim Abdullahi Dilip, who previously worked with the al-Shabaab
...... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all of which have enough problems without them...
and the IS-Somalia holy warriors, was allegedly kidnapped on Tuesday night by suspected al-Shabaab terrorists, before being taken to an unknown destination.

Sources privy to the incident said the kidnappers cut his iron sheet house before bundling the agent into a waiting car and subsequent vanishing. It's not clear why the kidnappers specifically targeted him.

To date, the federal government of Somalia is yet to issue an official statement with regard to abduction. However,
women are made to be loved, not understood...
senior sleuths from NISA are said to have visited the scene of the crime before moving out.

Abdullahi, reports indicate, was born 34 years ago and joined al-Shabaab in 2008 when the group had just been born. He worked as a translator owing to his understanding of Somali, Arabic, and English languages.

Later in 2014, he defected to IS-Somalia where he was recruited by the group founder in Somalia Abdulqadir Mumin. In ISIS, Abdullahi headed the media department where he produced propaganda videos for the group.

But after a short stint with IS-Somalia holy warriors, Abdullahi joined the government having been recruited by NISA just like many other former Death Eater defectors. He has been a critic of the holy warrior groups and has often appeared for interviews on state TV.

His disappearance comes amid an ongoing probe into the missing of Ikran Tahlil, another spy agent whose abduction caused ripples in government. While NISA pronounced her death, blaming al-Shabaab, the holy warrior group dissociated itself from the alleged murder.

US defense chief: If Iran not serious about nuclear talks, we’ll look at all options
[IsraelTimes] Pentagon head vows to prevent Tehran getting nukes, says Washington committed to diplomatic outcome but will examine alternatives if Tehran isn’t willing to engage
Who now believes his strong words will translate to strong action before it is too late?
America’s top defense official vowed Saturday to prevent Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to counter its "dangerous use" of suicide drones in the Mideast, as negotiations remain stalled over Tehran’s tattered atomic deal with world powers.

United States Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s comments in Bahrain at the annual Manama Dialogue appeared aimed at reassuring America’s Gulf Arab allies and Israel, as the Biden administration, the guys that caused the debacle in Afghanistan
...the pack of self-imagined masterminds of strategy and intrigue at the service of the Biden Crime Family and a grateful nation...
tries to revive the nuclear deal which limited Iran’s enrichment of uranium in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions.

"The United States remains committed to preventing Iran from gaining a nuclear weapon. And we remain committed to a diplomatic outcome of the nuclear issue," Austin told an event put on by the International Institute for Strategic Studies.

"But if Iran isn’t willing to engage seriously, then we will look at all of the options necessary to keep the United States secure," he said.

"Iran should be under no illusion that it will manage to undermine the relationship between the US and other countries in the region," Austin said, according to the Walla news site.

Austin’s remarks come after the US’ chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan raised concerns about America’s commitment to the Middle East, as defense officials say they want to pivot forces to counter perceived challenges from China and Russia.

"Let’s be clear: America’s commitment to security in the Middle East is strong and sure," Austin said, according to Rooters. "But Iran’s actions in recent months have not been encouraging — especially because of the expansion of their nuclear program."

The defense chief reiterated that in the opinion of the Biden administration, diplomacy is "the tool of first resort."

IDF foils attempt to smuggle drugs, ammunition into Israel from Lebanon
[IsraelTimes] In latest bust Saturday, 41 bags of an unnamed drug and one package of ammo seized; worth hundreds of thousands of shekels.

Israeli troops foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs and ammunition worth hundreds of thousands of shekels into Israel from Lebanon Hezbollahstan
...the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity™, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade...
on Saturday afternoon, the military said.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, soldiers monitoring an area near the town of Metula spotted a suspect smuggling packages into the country, and dispatched troops to the scene.

Forces seized 41 bags of an unnamed drug and one package of ammunition, with an estimated street value of hundreds of thousands of shekels. The drugs and ammunition were handed over to the Israel Police.

A military spokesperson said troops and coppers were continuing to search for the suspect, who expeditiously departed at a goodly pace.

Earlier this year, Israeli security forces foiled several smuggling attempts of hashish and firearms into Israel from Lebanon, potentially on behalf of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, according to the military.

Hezbollah has long maintained control over the area adjacent to the border with Israel and is unlikely to have been unaware of such smuggling operations.

The terror group is known to fund its activities through drug sales around the world, including producing large amounts of hashish in eastern Lebanon.

Also Saturday, troops foiled an attempt to smuggle 120 kilograms (265 lbs) of cocaine and marijuana worth tens of millions of shekels into Israel from Egypt.

The Israeli-Egyptian border has been used for years as a smuggling location, particularly for marijuana, but for other drugs as well.

The IDF updated its rules of engagement last week to allow soldiers to more easily open fire at suspected thieves and smugglers, in a bid to crack down on crime.

Under the IDF’s new open-fire regulations, troops will be permitted to use deadly force in cases of thefts of weapons and ammunition from military bases, break-ins at bases and firing ranges, and smuggling attempts along the Israeli-Egyptian border, according to the military.

In the past, soldiers could only open fire in those circumstances if their lives were in immediate danger, a fact that was generally known by criminals.

Tales From the Border (Ep. 4): Serbia — Camped in the woods
[DW] Tales From the Border Episode Four takes us to an informal migrant camp in the woods not far from the Serbian border with Croatia. Here we meet a group of men — mostly from Syria and Iraq — who have decided to leave the official camps to squat in an abandoned house in the forest.

While they cook over a campfire, the men talk about how the police and army from various countries work to push them back, and their journeys after leaving their home countries. Many talk about trying to cross the border into Romania, which is also not too far away from the camp, after they realized that the way through Croatia and Hungary is almost completely impossible.

Some men have tried to cross more than 40 times in five months over various borders.

Belarus: Poland warns of 'changed tactics' amid illegal migrant crossings
[DW] Polish authorities have arrested three individuals, including one German citizen, for helping migrants colonists trying to illegally enter the EU. The crossings come after two border camps were cleared.

Polish officials said on Saturday that 195 migrants colonists had attempted to illegally cross the border with Belarus, adding that Warsaw expects the crisis to continue long term.

The number of illegal crossings had, however, been reduced from previous days. Some 250 people attempted to cross on Thursday and 501 had tried to cross on Wednesday.

"The foreigners were aggressive — they threw rocks, firecrackers and used tear gas," Poland's border guards said.

"Eighty-two foreigners were ordered to leave Polish territory. Two Ukrainian citizens and one German citizen were detained for aiding and abetting," they added.

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said in a local radio interview that the migrants colonists, who were allegedly aided by Belarusian authorities, had changed their tactics and were trying to cross in smaller groups of people at various points of the border.

"We have to prepare for the fact that this problem will continue for months. I have no doubt that that will be the case," Blaszczak said.

Tensions between Belarus and Poland, along with the EU, have been running high over the crisis for weeks.

The EU and Poland accuse Belarus of artificially creating the crisis by luring people, mostly from the Middle East, with promises of an easy crossing into Europe.

LUKASHENKO DENIES RESPONSIBILITY FOR CRISIS
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko told British broadcaster BBC on Friday that it was "absolutely possible" his forces had helped people cross into the EU, but he denied orchestrating the crisis.

"We're Slavs. We have hearts. Our troops know the migrants colonists are going to Germany... Maybe someone helped them," Lukashenko said. "But I didn't invite them here."

The Belarusian government said it had cleared the migrant camps that had built up on the border, with Polish police and border guards confirming that the area was empty.

The migrants colonists were moved to a shelter, and the Iraqi government has offered to repatriate those who wish to leave, but many have said they plan to stay and still hope to get to the EU.

Belarus is said to be providing food and medical treatment to migrants colonists at the center, but there are still complaints about hygiene standards at the site.

CALLS GROW FOR GERMANY TO TAKE MIGRANTS COLONISTS IN
The chairwoman of the Jusos, the youth group of Germany's Social Democratic Party SPD, has called for Germany and the EU to take in the migrants colonists.

"We must not continue to see refugees only as objects of Alexander Lukashenko. By doing so, we betray all the foundations on which our society is built," Juso chief Jessica Rosenthal said.

The SPD is expected to form Germany's next government with smaller parties, the climate-friendly Green Party and business-focused Free Democratic Party (FDP). Rosenthal called on the likely new coalition government to respond to the crisis in a humane way.

"Before children die at the border, we must be ready to take in people and provide for them," Rosenthal said.

Poland said that at least 11 migrants colonists have died since the crisis began over the summer.

Dunja Mijatovic, the human rights
...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you...
commissioner at the Council of Europe, said on Friday that the humanitarian situation along the border was "alarming" and demanded an end to Poland's returns of migrants colonists to Belarus.

"I have personally listened to the appalling accounts of extreme suffering from desperate people ... who spent weeks or even months in squalid and extreme conditions in the cold and wet woods due to these pushbacks," she said in a statement.

"All pushbacks must end immediately," Mijatovic added.

Poland confirms Belarus migrant camp empty
[DW] All migrants from the improvised camp on Polish border have now "voluntarily relocated" to a nearby logistics center, according to Belarusian officials. However, Poland reported more isolated border crossing attempts.

United States Ambassador to the United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
Linda Thomas-Greenfield appeared on Saturday to wade into the issue of rights groups outlawed by Israel, when she said Washington "support[s] Paleostinian NGOs’ role monitoring human rights abuses wherever they occur."

Israel in late October declared six civil groups to be linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine (PFLP). The announcement sparked a firestorm of coverage and condemnations, as most of them received European and international funding.

On Saturday, Thomas-Greenfield, who recently completed a visit to Israel and the West Bank, tweeted: "This week, I had the chance to meet with civil society leaders in Ramallah. I was inspired by their work to advance democracy, human rights, and economic opportunity for the Paleostinian people.

"We support Paleostinian NGOs’ role monitoring human rights abuses wherever they occur."

Thursday saw European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
High Representative Josep Borrell declare that Israel had yet to send definitive proof that the six banned Paleostinian organizations were linked to the PFLP.

"We are asking for answers from the Israeli government, and we have not yet received convincing answers," Borrell said in a closed-door meeting of international donors to the Paleostinians in Oslo.

Borrell’s speech, like others given at the conference, was not public. The Times of Israel received a transcript of the address from another official.

Israeli officials have doubled down on the designation despite international criticism, repeating that there is "ironclad" classified evidence that proves the organizations’ terror links.

The six Paleostinian organizations in question — al-Haq, Addameer, the Union of Agricultural Work Committees, Defense for Children International — Paleostine, Bisan, and the Union of Paleostinian Women’s Committees — are prominent and well-established groups.

In late October, Defense Minister Benny Gantz issued orders that classified all six as terror groups. After an investigation by the Shin Bet, Israeli authorities alleged that the PFLP had used the organizations to successfully channel funds from European donors to the terror group.

The PFLP, which avowedly seeks to destroy Israel, has a long history of violent mostly peaceful attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians. The US, the EU, and much of the international community classify it as a terrorist organization.

While in Ramallah, Thomas-Greenfield pressed Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
on the issues of human rights and payments to security prisoners in Israeli jails, according to her office.

She "emphasized the importance of respecting human rights and avoiding actions that undermine the prospects of a two-state solution, such as settlement activity, evictions, incitement to violence, and payments to individuals imprisoned for terrorism," a US readout said.

"We do not accept in any way the classification of six Paleostinian civil organizations as terrorist by the occupation authorities," Abbas told Thomas-Greenfield during their meeting, according to the official PA news outlet Wafa.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards seize foreign diesel-smuggling boat in Gulf, detain crew
[IsraelTimes] Powerful paramilitary unit does not specify date the vessel was captured, or the nationality of the boat and its 11 crew members; says incident took place in Iranian waters.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said Saturday they had seized a boat smuggling diesel in the Gulf and arrested its 11 foreign crew members.

"Thanks to our intelligence services and in a coordinated operation, our navy seized a foreign vessel with 11 crew members in our territorial waters," said Guards’ Colonel Ahmad Hajian, according to state television

Hajian did not specify either the date of the seizure, the nationality of the boat or its crew, or further details about the vessel and its origin.

"After the inspection, more than 150,000 liters [approximately 40,000 gallons] of contraband diesel were seized and the 11 foreign crew members were brought before a court," he added.

The incident comes in the wake of a series of attacks on commercial vessels in the sea lanes serving the Gulf, where a large portion of the world’s oil is produced and shipped.

On November 10, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the release of the Vietnamese-flagged MV Sothys tanker which they had seized in October in the Sea of Oman.

The United States Navy has blamed Iran

for a series of limpet mine attacks on vessels that damaged tankers in 2019, as well as for a fatal drone attack on an Israeli-linked oil tanker that killed two European crew members earlier this year.

Just a few months ago, Iranian hijackers stormed and briefly captured a Panama-flagged asphalt tanker off the United Arab Emirates.

Tehran denies carrying out the attacks, but a wider shadow war between Iran and the West has played out in the region’s volatile waters since then-US president Donald Trump

Death toll of Sudan protests rises to 40
[AlAhram] The corpse count in Sudan from anti- military takeover protests since last month's military takeover has risen to at least 40, medics said Saturday after a teenager shot in the head days earlier died.

Sudan's top general Abdel Fattah al-Burhan on October 25 declared a state of emergency, ousted the government and detained the civilian leadership.

The military takeover upended a two-year transition to civilian rule, drew wide international condemnation and punitive measures, as well as provoking people to take to the streets.

Protests on Wednesday provoked the deadliest day so far, with the toll of those killed now standing at 16, according to medics.

"One martyr passed away... after he succumbed to severe wounds after being hit by live rounds to the head and the leg on November 17," the independent Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors said. He was aged 16, it added.

Most of those killed on Wednesday were in North Khartoum, which lies across the Nile river from the capital, medics said.

Police officials deny using any live ammunition and insist they have used "minimum force" to disperse the protests. They have recorded only one death, among demonstrators in North Khartoum.

ABUSES AND VIOLATIONS
On Friday, small groups of protesters rallied in several neighbourhoods after prayers against the military takeover, especially in North Khartoum, where people were seen building barricades across the roads. Security forces sporadically fired teargas to disperse them.

The United States on Friday condemned the deadly crackdown.

The Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA) have urged protesters to keep up their campaign, reporting Friday that security forces had "stormed homes and mosques" in North Khartoum.

The SPA is an umbrella of unions which were instrumental in the months-long demonstrations that ousted president Omar al-Bashir
...Former President-for-Life of Sudan He came to power in 1989 when he, as a brigadier in the Sudanese army, led a group of officers in a bloodless military coup that ousted the government of Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and eventually appointed himself head cheese. He fell out with his Islamic mentor, Hasan al-Turabi, tried to impose shariah on the Christian and animist south, resulting in its secessesion, and attempted to Arabize Darfur by unleashing the barbaric Janjaweed on it. Sudan's potential prosperity has been pissed away in warfare that has left as many as 400,000 people dead and 2.5 million displaced. Hee was overthrown by popular consent in 2019. Omar has been indicted for genocide by the International Criminal Court but nothing is expected to come of it...
in April 2019.

Burhan, the top general, insists the military's move "was not a coup" but a step "to rectify the transition" as factional infighting and splits deepened between civilians and the military under the now-deposed government.

He has since announced a new civilian-military ruling council in which he kept his position as head, along with a powerful paramilitary commander, three senior military figures, three ex-rebel leaders and one civilian.

But the other four civilian members were replaced with lesser known figures.

In a statement, the Internal Security Forces said they raided a "tourist resort" in the Qalamoun area of north Lebanon on Thursday after being tipped off.

They found "82 people, including men, women, and children, who were planning to head to Europe via sea in an illegal manner for a fee of $5,000 per person," the statement said.

The statement did not specify their nationality or intended destination.

But the Republic of Cyprus, a European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
member just 160 kilometers away, is a common destination for would-be migrants colonists trying to flee Lebanon which is mired in economic and political crisis.

The ISF said it arrested a 31-year-old Lebanese national who it identified as one of the smugglers behind the operation.

It said further investigations are underway.

The number of people attempting to make deadly sea crossings out of Lebanon has surged since the country's financial crisis began in 2019.

Most of the would-be migrants colonists are already refugees who fled the war in neighboring Syria but an increasing number of Lebanese nationals are also attempting the perilous journey.

Around 80 percent of Lebanon's population is estimated to be living under the poverty line, as defined by international organizations.

The Lebanese pound has lost 90 percent of its value against the dollar on the black market.
Al Ahram has more here.

Ukrainian defense chief denies Russian military action imminent
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] There will be no major "invasion" of the territory of Ukraine from the Russian Federation. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov in an interview with the Voice of America.

"I don’t believe that," Reznikov said. "Because, let's not forget, we have learned to defend ourselves in eight years of this war. Our armed forces (AFU) are at a high level, especially the Ground Forces."

Recall that the Ukrainian authorities, trying to absolve themselves of responsibility for the outbreak of the civil war in Donbass, have been calling Russia an “aggressor country” since 2014. Note that Russia is not really a party to this conflict.
My personal working theory as to why the Russians are transporting trainloads of older equipment is that they are having problems with metal corrosion and rust while in storage.

Plus with Ukraine shrilly pointing out the sneaky f*ckin' Russian© plan for an invasion, what better way to irritate them and the West than by placing those vehicles in nonactive concentrated vehicle parks in bordering oblasts.

Just my two kopeks...

Good. Now do the 73,000 already in the U.S.
The officials have said that returning to Afghanistan is an option for the Afghan refugees and acknowledged the US government is considering other potential options.

Hundreds of Afghans are stranded in a military base in Kosovo who was evacuated during the chaotic evacuation of the US in August.

The total number of Afghans evacuated to the US from August 15 until the end of August amounted to 70,000.

Afghan refugees who are still living in Kosovo are the people who have failed the security screening and have not been settled in any country yet.

Though no Afghan has so far been returned from any country, front man of the State Department Ned Price said that the Afghan refugees in Kosovo are more likely to be settled in the US or a third country.

FBI Still Searching for Jimmy Hoffa
[NY Post] The FBI is investigating the possibility that union boss Jimmy Hoffa’s body is buried in a former landfill in Jersey City under the Pulaski Skyway, a report said.

The search was sparked after a tip passed down from a worker who said he buried Hoffa in a steel drum just outside the former PJP Landfill, now Skyway Park, the New York Times said.

An FBI spokesperson confirmed to The Post that agents had conducted a "site survey" under the Skyway last month after obtaining a search warrant, but wouldn’t say if the search had anything to do with Hoffa, the mob-connected Teamsters leader whose July 30, 1975, disappearance has become the stuff of legend.

Afghanistan
Back Pay Owed Govt Employees to be Paid: Officials
[ToloNews] The government on Saturday announced that it would pay three months' worth of overdue salaries to employees in one round.

A front man for the Ministry of Finance, Ahmad Wali Haqmal, said that the payments were begun on Saturday. "Only one months' worth will remain unpaid in this fiscal year after we pay the salaries of the past three months. After that we will pay the salary of the next month," he said.

According to the ministry, only the employees of the ministries of health, higher education and the academy of science of Afghanistan will receive extra pay for specialized skills.

The ministry said that it has collected over 27 billion Afs in revenue from customs and taxes.

"The Islamic Emirate collected about 27 billion Afs in revenue. Our income will increase day by day," said Miraj Mohammad Miraj, an official at the Ministry of Finance.

Afghanistan relies mainly on foreign aid to support its government institutions and development projects.

However the Finance Ministry said that it has been planning to support the national budget with domestic income as the foreign aid is suspended.

‘I’ve 8 children and am willing for them to die, but not return’: Kurdish migrant
[Rudaw] Hundreds of migrants colonists including Kurds from Kurdistan Region are bunking in a logistic centre near Belarus’ border with Poland, sleeping in tents and on wooden pallets in a warehouse-like building that they were brought to after Belarusian authorities cleared the main camps on the border.

"Life is very good here. They provide us with food, water and everything. In Kurdistan, we were queuing for benzene and gas and here we queue for food and the toilet. There’s no difference. I have eight children and I am willing for them to die, but not return," he said.
"We don’t want to return to Kurdistan at all. If Kurdistan was nice, we would stay there," a Kurdish migrant told Rudaw at the centre, adding that only a few elites live well in the Kurdistan Region.

"We’ve been staying here for three nights and we were in the forest for 12 nights," said another Kurdish migrant. "We’ll stay here until the last breath."

Economy
Workers Returning Back to the Office Across US
[Epoch Times] Foot traffic in American workplaces reached the highest levels since the pandemic and related lockdowns began, with back-to-office trends strongest in metros like New York, Boston, and Austin.
Austin will be thrilled to be placed in such heady company.
Tech companies along with media and telecom outperformed other industries in office desk bookings last month. However, real estate companies saw 15 percent fewer employees return back to work, and a staggering 50 percent of health care workers chose not to return. Vaccine mandates could be a reason for this absence.
Not to come back to work, or to continue to work from home?
The survey also revealed an interesting detail as people return from the pandemic‐Monday has now surpassed Friday as the least popular day to work in the office.
Well, that's certainly significant!
According to data collected by Kastle Systems from 2,600 buildings and 41,000 businesses across 47 states and 10 major cities, the weekly average occupancy rate currently stands at 39 percent and climbing.

As of Nov. 10, Austin led the roost with 55.3 percent occupancy, with Houston and Dallas following at 52.3 and 49.8 percentages respectively. Outside of Texas, Philadelphia was at 37.3 percent, followed by Los Angeles and New York hovering around the 35 percent mark.
Texas leads the way! I wonder about Florida?

Work from home has saved corporate America $$$ 100's of Millions. eg. With NYC average office space currently running at $56.46 per square foot. WFH is lowering the employee operational costs and saving Corporate HQ.

So, pretty soon HOPEFULLY restaurants won't be able to use their BS claim of staffing shortages to run a 5,000 sq/ft / 100 seat restaurant location as a drive-thru?

Because I refuse to waste good $$$$ to eat cold food at home 20+ mins later.

FBI conducted violent home raid on America's Mom Founder
[CFP] Sherronna Bishop, founder of America’s Mom
(voting integrity group)
— FBI raided her home with a battering ram and she was handcuffed in her front yard because of her political activism and support for Trump.

"I’m a very public figure. I make myself available to anyone who has questions, be it law enforcement, elected officials or regular everyday people... I have always been available, and yet they chose to come to my home in this way, break down my door, terrorize my family, and put me in cuffs, and I cannot help but think this was a major intimidation move because they did not do this with anyone else that was on that warrant."

Come 2023, IF the new (R) lead Congress is allowed to take office.

Given the well earned perceived public view that the DOJ/FBI fails to apply US LAWS in a equal non-political manner, and their POLITICAL application of force.

A detailed “ALL Hands” review of the leadership needs to be done and the few violators reeled in quickly.

Also a maybe a strengthen rewrite of the loyalty Oath of Office for all employees and agents. A new oath requiring equal NON-POLITICAL law enforcement and providing a means of private reporting of staff in violations the IG.

Note: I suspect, in all actuality we are looking at likely less than 100 violators out of 30,000+/- that need to be criminally charged to flush out the Political Hacks and fix things.

They have a great deal more on enhanced video which the public will never see. Some of that video they probably use to blackmail public figures, like congressmen and supreme court justices.

How Did Ordinary American People Become Domestic Terrorists in The Eyes of The Deep State
[The Last Refuge] Barack Obama and Eric Holder did not create a weaponized DOJ and FBI; the institutions were already weaponized by the Patriot Act.

Instead, what Obama and Holder did was to take the preexisting system and retool it so the weapons of government only targeted one side of the political continuum. This point is where many people understandably get confused.

In the era shortly after 9/11, the DC national security apparatus was constructed to preserve continuity of government and simultaneously view all Americans as potential threats. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) were created specifically for this purpose.

What Barack Obama and Eric Holder did with that new construct was refine the internal targeting mechanisms so that only their ideological opposition became the target of the new national security system. This is very important to understand as you dig deeper into this research outline.

Grab a cup of your favorite beverage, and take a walk with me as we outline how this was put together. You might find many of the questions about our current state of political affairs beginning to make a lot more sense.

#1  After many hours of specific questions and answers on specific examples, I realized why our nation is in this mess. That is when I discovered the fourth and superseding branch of government, the Intelligence Branch.

They are not simply the "fourth branch", they are the Deep State.
Posted by: Besoeker || 11/21/2021 0:33 Comments || Top||

#2  A confused and confusing analysis. Lots of solid and interesting observations, but this author struggles to weave them into a coherent account of how, why and what exactly has evolved. He starts by accusing Obama and Holder and then immediately shifts into a narrative whereby the "pillars" were put in place by "engineers" in 2006-2007 -- according to somebody's (surely not Obama-Holder's) "designs" -- and "in the background."

If this isn't confusing enough, the metaphors make your head spin. Branch, I get, but he shifts back and forth from branch to pillars, to octopus tentacles, thence to siloes, to some vaguely engineered artifact....

All of which, in a way, reinforces one of his main insights: nobody in or out of government has a clue what these people at FBI and DOJ are up to or why. A terrifying thought.
Posted by: Merrick Ferret || 11/21/2021 7:17 Comments || Top||

#3  Deep state is more than intelligence agencies, sheesh. They are the unelected government with the real power, and they barely acknowledge the elected government. State, Pentagon, federal agencies. None of them are accountable and they consider the American people as a dangerous threat.

#4  Because.... "The People are Revolting"__ Mel Brooks
Posted by: Mercutio || 11/21/2021 8:51 Comments || Top||

#5  The purpose of the "Deep State" is to perpetuate and expand the Deep State. Anyone who threatens that is considered an enemy. That includes about 95% of the people that still believe in the Constitution and the rule of law. If you understand that, everything becomes much simpler.
Posted by: Old Patriot || 11/21/2021 14:47 Comments || Top||

#6  Repeal the Civil Service Act and reinstitute the patronage system (although it's de facto in effect but only for one party). Then it becomes responsive every election cycle.
Posted by: Procopius2k || 11/21/2021 16:10 Comments || Top||

#7  The so-called US "Intelligence Branch", weren't they the same people who, during the Cuban Missile crisis, were ignorant that the USSR subs off Cuba had nuclear torpedoes on board and whose onboard command had full authority to use? That "Intelligence Branch"?
