Ammo shortage shows no sign of improving: Smith & Wesson
[FoxNews] Ammunition inventories that were depleted during the pandemic are showing no sign of improving, according to Smith & Wesson Brands CEO Mark Smith.

Gun sales in the U.S. have soared over the past 15 months as people sought protection in response to the wave of civil unrest that occurred following the death of George Floyd as well as an increase in socially distant outdoor activities amid COVID-19 lockdowns.

Firearms enthusiasts also stocked up to prepare for the possibility of stricter gun regulations during the Biden administration.

The unprecedented demand for firearms has made it difficult for manufacturers to keep ammunition on store shelves.

"It's widely known the ammunition shortages continue," said Smith & Wesson CEO Mark Smith. "There is still a lot of interest in firearms."

Smith & Wesson said it shipped nearly 2.5 million units last year, up 70% from 2020.

Strong demand continues in 2021.

NICS background checks have climbed 6.8% year over year to almost 1.63 million through the first five months of 2021. Last year they soared 40% to a record 39.695 million.

Background checks are indicative of sales trends but don’t translate directly to sales. For example, customers can purchase multiple firearms at once and only be the subject of one background check.

A survey of 1,800 customers conducted in April by market research firm Southwick Associates found three-quarters of respondents encountered out-of-stock issues when trying to purchase ammunition. That was down slightly from the four in five customers who faced the problem in 2020.

Portland Police's Entire Rapid Response Riot Team Resigns After Officer Charged, Antifa Released

You want the cops gone? Deal. Portland’s entire Rapid Response Team, cops who volunteer for riot control duty, voted unanimously to resign on Wednesday, effectively leaving the city in the hands of antifa. The riot cops’ decision follows the criminal indictment of one of their own for assault, stemming from a riot in August 2020, a police source told The Post Millennial.

On the night of August 18, 2020, antifa skirts threw a Molotov cocktail firebomb into the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Department Headquarters as the Rapid Response Team struggled to contain the riot. Rapid Response Officer Budworth hit a rioter from behind with a baton, as seen in a video with no context whatsoever.

In a statement released after the indictment, District Attorney Mike Schmidt said, "In this case, we allege that no legal justification existed for Officer Budworth’s deployment of force, and that the deployment of force was legally excessive under the circumstances."

"Now that the riot team is no more, we have no clue what’s going to happen. We don’t have enough patrol officers to be pulled from the road to handle huge crowds," a Portland police officer told The Post Millennial. "We are only backups with no gear like the riot team has."

"So, what typically happens, is the riot team gets called out to be prepared for a huge protest. Then patrol officers from all three precincts are on standby which gets activated when the protest starts. This means all patrol calls go to ’priority calls only,’ basically only active assaults, shootings, and person crimes only get responded to. All other calls hold indefinitely until the protest is over or the next day," sources told The Post Millennial.

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office charged Rapid Response Team Officer Corey Budworth with one misdemeanor count of fourth-degree assault on Tuesday. This comes after DA Mike Schmidt has been heavily criticized for his ultra-liberal approach to prosecuting hockey pad-clad rioters in the past year.

Companies will be able to take over your DREAMS with commercials, scientists warn in letter calling for laws to ban them
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Nearly 40 dream researchers published an op-ed letter warning the public of companies taking over their dreams with commercials.

This technology, called targeted dream incubation (TDI), uses specific audio and visual stimuli, such as a movie, to induce specific imagery and sounds into the brain that people then see in their dreams.

'Our dreams cannot become just another playground for corporate advertisers,' the letter reads, urging the U.S. Federal Trade Commission to revisit its policies banning subliminal advertising to include ads that creep up in your sleep, too.

Couple who pointed guns at BLM protesters plead guilty
[DW] Mark and Patricia McCloskey will give up the guns they used to threaten Black Lives Matter protesters in St. Louis but will not go to jail after pleading guilty to misdemeanor charges.

A gun-toting couple who went viral after pointing guns at Black Lives Matter protesters last year pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges on Thursday.

Patricia McCloskey agreed to a charge of harassment and a $2,000 (€1,680) fine, while her husband, Mark, was fined $750 for fourth-degree assault. The weapons the couple used — a military-style rifle for the husband and a handgun for the wife — are also be forfeited and destroyed.
I seem to recall that the guns had been disabled so they would be safe to bring out in the courtroom for a trial. If so, losing them would not be a major loss.
Neither will face jail time.

However,
a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth...
the wealthy couple can still legally own firearms and, as professional lawyers, can still practice law.
A weak slap on the wrist.
Mark McCloskey described the outcome as a "good day" for him and his wife. He also agreed with the prosecutor that he had placed other people "in imminent risk of physical injury."
With non-working guns? I s’pose they could have been used as clubs, or thrown at the crowd in extremis...
"I sure as heck did, that's what the guns were there for. And I'd do it again anytime a mob approaches me ... because that's what's kept them from destroying my house and my family," he said from the courthouse steps.

WHAT HAPPENED AT THE BLM MARCH LAST JUNE?
The couple pulled out their guns and confronted Black Lives Matter marchers when they approached their mansion in St. Louis. At the time, the protesters were walking over private property owned by a trust, which is funded by residents of the area. There was no evidence that any of the protesters threatened the couple.

Prosecutor Richard Callahan has said the marchers simply made a "wrong turn."
His boss, St. Louis circuit attorney Kim Gardner, is one of the Soros district attorney investments.
"There was no evidence that any of them had a weapon and no one I interviewed realized they had ventured onto a private enclave," he said.

The couple was previously indicted on felony charges of unlawful use of a weapon and evidence tampering, for allegedly altering the pistol Patricia McCloskey was holding.

Callahan later amended the charges to misdemeanors and dropped the tampering count. He said the misdemeanor plea was reasonable adding that the McCloskeys called the police, no shots were fired and no one was hurt.

"But I think that their conduct was a little unreasonable in the end,'' he said. "I don't think people should view this case as some type of betrayal or assault on the Second Amendment. We still have the Second Amendment rights. It's just that the Second Amendment does not permit unreasonable conduct.''

HOW DOES THE CONFRONTATION PLAY INTO US POLITICS ON THE LAM?
The incident went viral online, with both sympathizers of then-President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
and the supporters of Black Lives Matter discussing the couple's actions. Many view them as heroes. Missouri's Republican Governor Mike Parson pledged to pardon the couple if they were convicted.

In May this year, Mark McCloskey announced he was running for US Senate.

In a campaign video, McCloskey claimed that an "angry mob came to destroy my house and kill my family" but he took "a stand against them."

"I will never back down," he says in the ad.

If a Mob or Radical Group known to be DESTRUCTIVE, Physically Abusive, Destructive to private Property, Looters and Arsonists came on the property in a aggressive manner. Then failed to heed verbal warnings to cease trespassing and continued towards owner, owners house or the owners family. 1 Warning shot into the ground. Then whatever steps needed to protect family, property and themselves.

Google "Can you shoot a trespasser in Missouri?"
It appears that, in Missouri, you can legally shoot and kill a trespasser if they are on private property, whether or not they are threatening you or committing a crime at the time. Jul 9, 2020" So Missouri Laws appears to be on the owners side also.

#2  Justice has gone totally amok in this country. McCloskey's should have been applauded for showing restraint in a bad situation and defending themselves and their property. And what of BLM that night? What about Soros-inserted Kim Gardner and her legal shenanigans? Did any on them have to stand before lady justice? What-a-crock. Heading towards a banana republic rapidly. Maybe, we are already there.

#3  The way I heard it the guns were disabled when the incident occurred and the prosecutor 'repaired' them for the trial.

Murray's Empirical Wisdom Confirms ‘Into The Cannibal's Pot's' Analytical Truths
Ilana Mercer on USA race problem
[TownHall] - My 2011 book, "Into the cannibal’s Pot: Lessons For America From Post-Apartheid South Africa," rests on two axiomatic truths, and I excerpt (pp 40-41 & 126-128, 2011):

"In all, no color should be given to the claim that race is not a factor in the incidence of crime in the US and in South Africa. The vulgar individualist will contend that such broad statements about aggregate group characteristics are collectivist, ergo false. He would be wrong."

"Generalizations," I continued, "provided they are substantiated by hard evidence, not hunches, are not incorrect. Science relies on the ability to generalize to the larger population observations drawn from a representative sample. People make prudent decisions in their daily lives based on probabilities and generalities. That one chooses not to live in a particular crime-riddled county or country in no way implies that one considers all individual residents there to be criminals, only that a sensible determination has been made, based on statistically significant data, as to where scarce and precious resources—one’s life and property—are best invested." ("Into The Cannibal’s Pot," pp 40-41)

In short, generalizations about certain group characteristics are, in aggregate, valid. These, however, do not contradict the imperative to treat each and every individual as an individual.
When you can afford it.
..."Free market economists have long since insisted that the rational, self-interest of individuals in private enterprise is always not to discriminate. ’The market is color-blind,’ said Milton Friedman. ’No one who goes to the market to buy bread knows or cares whether the wheat was grown by a Jew, Catholic, Protestant, Muslim or atheist; by whites or blacks.’ As Thomas Sowell put it, ’prejudice is free, but discrimination has costs.’" (ITCP pp. 126-128)

Inherent in these arguments, I had argued, in 2011, is that, while not untrue, they are incomplete, mere half-truths:

"Arguably, however, [our] good economists ... are still offering up a half-truth. Rational self-interest does indeed propel people, however prejudiced, to set aside bias and put their scarce resources to the best use. But to state simply that ’discrimination is bad for business’ [and that a pure, free-market meritocracy would solve the problem of racial underrepresentation] is to present an incomplete picture."

"This solecism stems from the taint the word ’discriminate’ has acquired," I posited. "The market ... is discriminating as in discerning—it is biased toward productivity. Hiring people on the basis of criteria other than productivity hurts the proprietor’s pocket. Thus, we can be fairly certain that, absent affirmative-action laws, the market would reflect a bias toward productivity." (Into The Cannibal’s Pot, p. 127.)

And the clincher:

"In other words, what the good economists [and good conservatives] are loath to let on is that a free market is a market in which groups and individuals are differently represented. Parity in prosperity and performance can be achieved only by playing socialist leveler," I wrote. (ITCP pp. 126-128.)

Murray’s work agrees—and amplifies this point, writing on June 6, 2021, that, "refusing to confront race differences in means ... leads in a straight line to thinking that the only legitimate evidence of a non-racist society is equal outcomes.
For some strange reason, nobody demands equal outcomes as pertains to NBA or NFL.
... the logical conclusion is that the state must force equal outcomes by whatever means necessary."

Chinese Defector's Identity Confirmed, Was Top Counterintelligence Official
[Red State] We now know the name of the Chinese defector who has been working with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) for a few months and what his position within the Chinese military and government was, among other details.

Matthew Brazil and Jeff Stein at Spy Talk reported on the "rumor," and gave the name and background of the rumored defector:

Chinese-language anti-communist media and Twitter are abuzz this week with rumors that a vice minister of State Security, Dong Jingwei (董经纬) defected in mid-February, flying from Hong Kong to the United States with his daughter, Dong Yang.

Dong is, or was, a longtime official in China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS), also known as the Guoanbu. His publicly available background indicates that he was responsible for the Ministry’s counterintelligence efforts in China, i.e., spy-catching, since being promoted to vice minister in April 2018. If the stories are true, Dong would be the highest-level defector in the history of the People’s Republic of China.

RedState’s sources confirmed that the defector is, in fact, Dong, that he was in charge of counterintelligence efforts in China, and that he flew to the United States in mid-February, allegedly to visit his daughter at a university in California. When Dong landed in California he contacted DIA officials and told them about his plans to defect and the information he’d brought with him. Dong then "hid in plain sight" for about two weeks before disappearing into DIA custody.

RedState’s sources say that Chinese officials did demand that the United States return Dong, but Blinken didn’t exactly refuse; at that time Blinken wasn’t aware that Dong was with the US government, the sources say, and told China that the US didn’t have Dong.

It’s only in the last three to four weeks that anyone outside DIA knew about the defector, according to RedState’s sources. Prior to that time, DIA was vetting the information provided and confronting Langley officials with what they’d learned without divulging the source.

Experts quoted in the Spy Talk piece essentially say that the defection is just a rumor and that rumors happen all the time, but that if it’s true it’s a big deal but "not game-changing." Based on conversations with sources familiar with the information Dong has already provided and its quantity and reliability, that’s simply not the case. Not only does Dong have detailed information about China’s special weapons systems, the Chinese military’s operation of the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origins of SARS-CoV-2, and the Chinese government’s assets and sources within the United States; Dong has extremely embarrassing and damaging information about our intelligence community and government officials in the "terabytes of data" he’s provided to the DIA.
Which the Biden Administration will promptly bury.

In addition, Dong has provided DIA with the following information:

Models of predicted COVID-19 spread and damage to the US and the world

Financial records detailing which exact organizations and governments funded the research on SARS-CoV-2 and other biological warfare research

Plus:

Names of US citizens who provide intel to China

Financial records showing US businessmen and public officials who’ve received money from the Chinese government

#5  Suspect. A man in 'spy catching' knows all about defectors and double and triple sided tale tattlers and plants and traps. If China wanted to plant a disinformation source it'd be him. And he would have to come with verifiable data, mostly on his American counterparts, which could be confirmed with only a slight digging. His China info will remain unverifiable and might even contain overestimation of Chinese 'special weapons systems'.

While Biden's administration plays 'hide the Dong' with him, he will help you dismantle your own networks in east Asia, forcing you to start from scratch. But to the Chinese players you can't do anything, not for biowarfare, not for spying, nothing.

Assuming of course any of this is true.

I think, we have here a looser in internal power struggle who had to flee for his life, and trying to buy sanctuary - doesn't mean his info is 100% reliable.

#9  What is telling for me is that he chose the DIA, and they insulated him from CIA, FBI, State, DoJ DHS and the rest of the alphabet soup agencies. If he is authentic, it would make sense if those agencies are deeply penetrated/compromised, and he wanted to get away from immediate visibility. It also supports my own sense that the DIA animus that goes back to Flynn and Obama, and the massive silencing job they did on him was because he knew things at DIA that were very very damaging. If he is a false flag deep disinformation agent, wouldn't he be more interested in the deeper effects that would have across the wider spectrum of the 17 intel agencies instead of the narrow focus of the DIA? It is a wilderness of mirrors and the risk of an James Jesus Angleton massacre is possible, but while this is highly visible now, it also may be a gift to reveal how deep the rot has gone. Who knows what internal CCP politics may have prompted his defection?

#10  Who knows what internal CCP politics may have prompted his defection?

Maybe this: Corruption is rife in China’s state-directed economy, and it may have washed up on Dong. “He worked closely with Zhang Yue, who's now serving 15 years imprisonment for corruption," Dr. Han said. “Zhang was a confidant of Ma Jian, former MSS executive vice minister, who is also in prison for corruption.”

Taliban Close Key Routes in Paktia: Residents
[ToloNews] Residents and members of the provincial council in Paktia, a province in eastern Afghanistan, on Wednesday reported that the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
has blocked a number of key highways connecting the center of the province to some districts including Zurmat and Zazai Aryoub.

The public is not able to travel to their home areas and supply routes for security forces have been cut off, residents said.

Security forces in Paktia said operations will soon be launched to reopen the routes.

"The ordinary people are facing lots of problems in their movements, they cannot go to the bazaar or consult a hospital," said Samiullah Afghan, a resident of Zurmat district in Paktia. "There are patients in people’s homes, the people in Zurmat want the government to take swift action and reopen the routes," he said.

"If Zurmat district falls it will have a major impact on the security in both provinces, either Paktia or Paktika
...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo...
," said a resident.

Local officials said that if the present situation continues, security will worsen in neighboring provinces including Ghazni and Paktika.

"Road closures have a significant impact, including social and economic consequences, and also a political impact," said Jannat Khan Samkanai, the secretary of Paktia's provincial council.

"We call on the government to reopen the way as soon as possible and to ensure the delivery of services to the people," said Mohammadu-rahman Qaderi, a member of the Paktia provincial council.

"We have launched a joint clearance operation between the national army, NDS and national police. The operations will cover both sides of the highway around Gardiz and Zurmat. God willing, the entire highway will be cleared very soon," said Nisar Ahmad Wardak, the head of Paktia's security department.

Past 24 Hours Sees Fighting in 200 Areas in Afghanistan
[ToloNews] Statistics by the internal security commission of the Wolesi Jirga indicates that the Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANDSF) has engaged with the Taliban

Meanwhile,
...back at the abandoned silver mine, a triangular dorsal fin appeared in the water. Then another...
Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense in a statement said that 148 Taliban fighters have been killed in fighting with Afghan cops, and more than 160 others were maimed.

The Taliban claimed to have killed over 50 security force members and maimed dozens more.

The Taliban also claimed that they had taken over a key military base in the Shinkai district of Zabul.

In the meantime, footage went viral on social media showing the Taliban apparently accompanying a convoy of security forces in the Shinkai district of Zabul.

Amrullah Saleh, the First Vice President of Afghanistan, said the footage was a "pre-planned intelligence secret," and, in such moments, there is no need to disclose secrets of the operations in the name of freedom of expression and pave the way for the enemy to take advantage of the issue.

"Thoughtless speakers can say whatever they want. There is no doubt the country is passing through difficult days. At the same time, casualties among the ignorant and abhorrent group (Taliban) are three times higher than our security forces. Do not trust in propaganda," said Saleh in a Facebook post.

"You must represent the courage and determination of the security and defense forces of the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Afghanistan. You must be the spokesmen of the bravery and resistance of the country’s forces. Whatever was written about Zabul so far has not been real," added Saleh.

"The question of why are they accompanying the Taliban, there is something vague behind it politically," said Nasrullah Ziarmal, a former military officer.

"This shows that the collapse (of the outpost) occurred due to a deal," said Shabanah Khoshal, a civil society activist in Zabul.

"The head of security and the deputy governor went there to help and all the military equipment was left behind for the enemy-- this was a political surrender," said Atta Jan Haqbayan, the head of Zabul provincial council.

The Taliban claimed they have seized all of the entire military equipment from the base.

"The equipment left behind is not useable," said Abdul Matin Hassankhel, deputy commander of the 205 Atal Army Corps.

The Taliban also claimed to have taken over a military base in Bagahwi village of Sar-e-Pul

province in northern Afghanistan and to have seized over 50 different types of military equipment.

Meanwhile,
...back at the abandoned silver mine, a triangular dorsal fin appeared in the water. Then another...
Sibghatullah Selab, the deputy head of the Faryab provincial council, said that the center of Shireen Tagab district had fallen to the Taliban this afternoon.

He said that the Taliban had sent a message to the security forces in the area to lay down their arms and surrender.

According to Selab, the Taliban have transferred the soldiers to an unknown location.

He said that the Taliban took 160 pieces of military equipment, including vehicles such as "Humvees and Rangers."

TOLOnews’ news hound did not manage to obtain a comment from the 209 Shaheen Army Corps.

Over the past two months, the government has lost 30 districts to the Taliban, which makes up 8 percent of the country.

Previously, the US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) said that 210 districts, which makes up 54 percent of the entire territory in Afghanistan, are under the control of the government, 132 districts are contested and 46 districts are under Taliban control.

The fallen districts are Oba in Herat

The population is half Pashtun, the remainder Tadjik and Pashai. It had a repution for great wealth until it was conquered in the tenth century by Abu Mansur Sabuktigin.
He conquered it and set fire to the places in its vicinity which were inhabited by infidels, and demolishing the idol-temples, he established Islam in them, He marched and captured other cities and killed the polluted wretches, destroying the idolatrous and gratifying the Musulmans. "Those who are planning the war, their planning has lots of shortcomings, supply is not taking place properly," said Mohammad Radmanish.

With the expansion of war in 24 provinces of Afghanistan, the fundamental question is how to prevent the present situation?

"The government should put aside its internal problems and should consult everyone so that we move out of this situation," said MP Khan Agha Rezayee.

In Balkh province, reports say the Taliban has detonated a Humvee full of explosives near the police headquarters in Dawlat Abad.

Afghan forces clear 2 districts off from Taliban in northern Faryab province: MOD
[KhaamaPress] The Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced that 45 members of Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
members were killed and 67 members were maimed in the Dawlatabad and Shrintagab districts of Faryab Province.

The statement by the ministry said that there was heavy fighting in recent days between the security forces and the Taliban in this province.

The latest tweet from Fawad Aman, Deputy Spokesperson of Ministry of National Defense stated that the Taliban suffered heavy causalities during the military operations in Faryab province.

He added that the the two districts have been cleared off from Taliban.

So far, it has been the third attack that the Taliban failed to capture the districts, according to Fawad Aman.

However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
the Taliban have not yet commented about this operation so far.

23 Commandos Killed Attempting to Hold Dawlat Abad Center: Source

[ToloNews] At least 23 members of an Afghan Army’s special forces unit were killed while fighting the Taliban in the northern province of Faryab on Wednesday, a security official who wished not to be named said on Thursday.

The clash started in Dawlat Abad district after commandos and local troops launched a clearing operation, according to the source.

“At least 23 commandos were killed and six policemen were wounded in the clashes,” the source said.

The security forces retreated from the center of the district after heavy clashes and are stationed in Qaramqol district in Faryab following the clashes, the source said.

One of those killed, Sohrab Azimi, 27, was a special forces officer who had received military training in the US as well as in Turkey. He was the son of retired Gen. Zahir Azimi, a former spokesman for the Ministry of Defense.

In a social media post, Azimi confirmed his son’s death in the fighting and said he is “proud of his martyrdom.”

Azimi said that his son and his son's colleagues did their duty proudly and courageously and sacrificed their lives to defend the country.

He also blamed officials for not providing support during the operation.

“His blood is not more than the other sons of this nation. I am proud that he performed the duty given to him until the end. He took the district and raised Afghanistan’s flag, and to keep it he fought until he died,” Zahir Azimi said.

“It was expected that reinforcements would be sent to the area for their support, but unfortunately it didn't happen,” he said. “The clashes escalated and they were surrounded at the place where he was killed with some of his friends and others who were injured--they were shot and killed by the Taliban.”

Sohrab worked in the support section of the special forces, but when the district fell to the Taliban he took charge of a group of 35 commandos to fight the Taliban in the district on Tuesday morning, local sources and security sources said.

“They were pushing back the Taliban from the center of the district but the Taliban was attacking the security forces and security force members were killed,” according to sources.

“The commandos sent their vehicles outside the area to bring army soldiers, and in the meantime, the Taliban attacked the commandos,” the sources added.

The center of Dawlat Abad district has fell to the Taliban a week ago following heavy clashes.

in western Afghanistan and managed to burn some parts of the police headquarters after five hours of fierce fighting with Afghan cops.

Local officials in Herat said the Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANDSF) fought bravely and repulsed the Taliban attack.

"Lack of coordination between the security forces is a serious problem. There is a need for a unified command and control center to provide morale to the security forces. The Taliban are using these gaps and then launching attacks," said Ghulam Habib Hashemi, a member of Herat’s security committee.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shattered spaceship, Fffflirgoll the Arcturan slithered stealthily toward the control room, where the humans had barricaded themselves...
family members of soldiers stranded in Taliban areas have raised concerns over the soldiers' health conditions.

"My children are crying the whole day, they ask for their father. My husband has been serving in Oba for three months, he was maimed two times," said Maryam, the wife of an Afghan Army Officer in Herat.

"My cousins, my uncle and my nephew are among the soldiers maimed in Oba, they are stuck there, no one is there to reach out to help them," said Bashir Ahmad, a relative of a maimed officer in Oba.

Local officials in Herat pledged that soon they will transfer the maimed troops from Oba.

"We are working to transfer the maimed soldiers from Oba to Herat city and to send additional forces to Oba to control the district," said Abdul Saboor Qane, the governor of Herat.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
3 Arab men charged over Jaffa firebombing that seriously hurt boy during riots
[IsraelTimes] 2 accused of attempted murder, 3rd indicted as accomplice to multiple attacks including mistaken assault on Arab home.

Two men were charged with attempted murder and one man as an accomplice in connection with several firekabooms in Jaffa last month, including one that left a 12-year-old Arab boy seriously injured, Tel Aviv prosecutors announced on Thursday.

Ahmad Daoud, 21 and Rizak Jarboa, 35, are accused of the attempted murder of Muhammad Gintazi, while 38-year-old Raed Jarboa was indicted for aiding them in the attack, which also injured Gintazi’s 10-year-old sister.

The three, all Arab residents of Jaffa, were accused of planning and carrying out attacks on Jewish homes in the city’s Ajami neighborhood "out of a nationalist motive," with the attack on the Gintazi family home a case of mistaken identity.

The indictment said Daoud and Rizak Jarboa prepared the Molotov cocktails in the presence of Raed Jarboa, before the two took the Molotov cocktails and attacked nearby homes to "cause the deaths of Jews."

The three were also charged with additional offenses including arson, attempted arson, obstruction of justice and weapons offenses in connection with the firekabooms they allegedly carried out on a number of homes in the city.

Muhammad Gintazi suffered burns to 18 percent of his body in the May 14 attack and suffered smoke inhalation. Doctors have since said his condition has improved. He and his sister are both traumatized by the attack and the family home was seriously damaged.

The attacks came as violence spread across Israel’s mixed Jewish-Arab cities following festivities between Jerusalem police and Paleostinian rioters in and near the al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount — Judaism’s holiest site and Islam’s third-holiest — and amid the planned eviction of Paleostinians from homes in Sheikh Jarrah, an East Jerusalem neighborhood.

The violence also sparked an intense 11-day battle between Israel and terror groups in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. after Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, fired rockets at Jerusalem.

The announcement of the indictments against the three came hours after police arrested Sheikh Yusuf Albaz, 63, a holy man in the central city of Lod on suspicion of incitement to violence, weeks after ethnic riots rocked the mixed Jewish-Arab city.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Naked Tennessee woman armed with ax accused of vandalizing Walmart
[FoxNews] A Tennessee woman was arrested Tuesday after she was found partially naked and using an ax inside a Walmart, authorities said.

Officers in Knoxville responded to the giant retailer after a caller said a naked woman was throwing items at employees and defecated on herself, according to a police report.

Nashea Brown, 35, was found in the sporting goods section with an ax and a knife tucked into her bra, police said. The officers ordered her to drop the ax but she allegedly refused to comply.

One officer attempted to use a Taser but it was ineffective. Another officer used their Taser and Brown was taken into custody.

She is charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and vandalism up to $1000. She is being held in the Knox County jail.

The store estimated more than $500 worth of property was vandalized.

The latest school shooting involved a Wakandan 17 year old who beat up his multi racial girlfriend. He was found hiding in a bathroom when police officers arrived. He was wearing a hoody with a pouch and was sitting on the floor. When told to stand and show his hands he refused. One officer moved to pick him up and he resisted. He stood up but refused to remove his hands from the pouch. The officer took hold of one arm and the Wakandan took out a pistol and fired. He missed the officer and the other officer, who is black, fired and killed the Wakandan. The Democrat Mayor went nuts, demanding release of the body cam immediately. The police commisioner refused until the investigation was complete. The house where the girlfriend lived was attempted to be set on fire in retaliation for her mom calling the police. "Diversity" and multiculturalism are no longer tenable. It would be a different story if our elite institutions and ruling class were not so completely captivated by this insanity, but they are.

Let's be honest with each other. Wherever the Wakandan element is involved, we no longer have due process, fair elections, rule of law, commitment to reason, pursuit to truth, free speech.

Either we abandon these foundational principles, or we separate from these lunatics.

We cannot live together with them in the same civil society -- because that society, that civilization we hold so dear, is expressly what they seek to destroy.

We're beyond healing now. These bastards truly want to rip up what this nation built and became from 1776-2009. They hate us, they hate our heritage, our history values achievements -- they hate our civilization.

No way to get the toothpaste back in the tube now. Ballots are useless -- the system's hopelessly rigged thanks to absentee balloting and all the associated nonsense.

So we either
1) give in, grovel, confess our 'privilege' etc
or
2) fight fire with fire
or
3) leave them to their Blue shitholes and preserve and renew our society in the Red states and communities

#17  This is basic a Broken Window problem. Reinstitute active policing backed by strict judges, get the Progressive nonsense out of the schools and the workplace — again, backed by strict judges — and the mad and bad 10% of all races causing problems will no longer exercise their vicious whims on the 90% who’ll be happy not to misbehave when the environment doesn’t encourage misbehaviour (or 20/80 — the exact numbers aren’t as important as the general approach).

Oh, and train girls as well as boys to defend themselves and others when attacked, with the promise that they won’t be punished for it if their skin is the wrong shade. This standing back and filming on phones is no doubt useful for the police when they eventually get there, but does nothing to stop the attacker’s attack.

I disagree that it’s too late, though the Blue communities and states are going to continue their program of self harm for a while longer before those who stayed behind realize they are the only cause of all their problems.

Iraq
Coalition hands over military equipment to Iraq to fight ISIS
[NPASYRIA] On Thursday, the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS handed over the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service $6 million worth of weapons and equipment among its efforts to support combating ISIS.

A statement released by the Coalition said, it handed over ammunition, weapons and vehicles worth of $6,5 million to Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service.

The equipment aims at supporting Iraq in its mission to defeat ISIS, the statement added.

On June 15, the G7 states said, they will continue to support efforts to combat ISIS in Iraq and achieve stability in the liberated areas.

#2  Rudaw reports the stuff was given to the Peshmerga, not the Iraqi army:

The Peshmerga recently received more than $1 million worth of weapons and equipment from the international coalition, according to Iraq’s Security Media Cell.

"The equipment will support Iraq in its mission to defeat Islamic State [ISIS] terrorist gangs, and is part of the Training and Equipment Fund Program to Combat ISIS that has been implemented since 2014,” the cell tweeted on Wednesday morning.

The delivery, on June 14, consisted of several trucks of equipment, mostly guns, Rudaw English understands. The Peshmerga are reportedly due to receive more aid from the US-led coalition in the coming days.

Coalition spokesperson Col. Wayne Marotto confirmed the delivery, saying the Counter ISIS Train and Equip Fund (CTEF) supports the ongoing fight against ISIS.

On Thursday, the international coalition handed over $3 million of weapons and equipment to the Peshmerga forces, state media reported.

In January, the United States Department of Defense gave $12.5 million worth of military aid to Peshmerga forces at Erbil International Airport. Sources from the Peshmerga ministry later told Rudaw that the aid was to go directly to the ministry, and not to party-affiliated brigades.

Peshmerga forces have consistently fought the Islamic State (ISIS) since it took swathes of Iraq and Syria in 2014, and are a key ally for the coalition.

At least 1,700 Peshmerga fighters were killed and around 10,000 injured in the fight against ISIS from 2014 onwards.

#3  ^ Those rugged boys and girls can use all the help they can get.

Same aid fund I think is divvied up into both. Maybe Iraqi officials get $3 million and Peshmerga get $3.5 million in gear. Just as long as Erdogan's [The only Caliph in NATO] finest don't pry them from their dead fingers.

The Coalition declared $6.5 million in gear was given to the Iraqi CT effort. But Iraqi press reported the Ministry of Interior received $2930410 worth of ammo, weapons and equipment. RUDAW says the Peshmerga get $3 m of gear. There is no way some of it wasn't pilfered by Iraqi officials to sell to ISIS, but the important thing is the Kurds will have a fighting chance.

Britain
Security guard says he didn’t confront 2017 Manchester bomber for fear of being called racist
[IsraelTimes] Security teams at Britannia’s Manchester Arena "should have prevented or minimized" the impact of the 2017 terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert that killed 22 people, a public inquiry finds.

The suicide kaboom, as concert-goers were leaving the show, was perpetrated by 22-year-old Salman Abedi,
...one of the more notable members of the Manchester Libyan jihadi crowd. The parental generation ties back to the al-Qaeda-aligned Libyan Islamic Fighting Group in the 1990s, while the kids pledged to the even more romantic ISIS. Not that it makes much difference in the end — the networks overlap personnel-wise, it’s just a matter of the name on the checking account paying their expenses...
a Mancunian of Libyan descent.

In a report examining security measures at the venue in northwest England, inquiry chairman John Saunders says Arena operator SMG, security provider Showsec and British Transport Police all missed opportunities to either prevent or mitigate the attack, which took place on May 22, 2017.

"The security arrangements for the Manchester Arena should have prevented or minimized the devastating impact of the attack," he writes.

"Salman Abedi should have been identified on 22nd May 2017 as a threat by those responsible for the security of Arena and a disruptive intervention undertaken.

"Had that occurred, I consider it likely that Salman Abedi would still have detonated his device, but the loss of life and injury is highly likely to have been less," he adds.

The inquiry had heard that an officer from British Transport Police was supposed to be present in the foyer of the arena at the end of the show, where the bomb exploded, but nobody was there.

A Showsec security guard also told the inquiry that he had a "bad feeling" when he saw Abedi around five minutes before the attack, but did not approach him for fear of being called a racist.

"I felt unsure about what to do," says Kyle Lawler, who was aged 18 at the time of the attack. "I did not want people to think I am stereotyping him because of his race."

Lawler says he had tried to radio the control room, but that he gave up as he could not get through due to radio traffic.

DC Elects Incarcerated Murderer To Office In Nation's Capital
An inmate at the DC Jail on Tuesday became the first incarcerated person ever elected to office in the nation’s capital.

Joel Caston was elected on Jun 15 to be the advisory neighborhood commissioner for District 7F07, which includes the correctional facility, a women’s shelter, and a recently-opened luxury apartment building, NBC News reported.

Caston, 44, has been incarcerated for 26 years.

He was locked up at 18 for the murder of 18-year-old Rafiq Washington, whom he was convicted of shooting in the parking lot of a Chinese restaurant in DC, The Washington Post reported.

Caston has spent more than four years of his sentence incarcerated at the DC Jail in the southeast quadrant of the city.

That makes him one of the jail’s longest-tenured inmates, according to The Washington Post.

The DC Jail houses 1,400 male and female inmates.

In July of 2020, DC changed the law to allow incarcerated people in the city to vote, and that brought attention to the fact that the seat on the Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) district where the DC Jail was located had been vacant since 2013, The Washington Post reported.

Terrorist killed in Nowgam encounter in J&K
[OneIndia] An unidentified bad boy was killed in an encounter with security forces in Nowgam area of Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
's Srinagar on Wednesday, police said.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Wagoora in Nowgam late on Tuesday night following information about the presence of gunnies there, a police official said.

The search operation turned into an encounter in which one bad boy was killed. The identity and group affiliation of the slain bad boy are being ascertained, he said.

Search operations are underway in the area as security forces had received information about the presence of two bad boys, the official said.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Putin's strategy succeeds in Geneva
Direct translation of the article. Edited
by Avigdor Eskin

[Regnum] The Kremlin's LHP strategy is a success. The abbreviation does not mean what you think, but “the line of the main enemy”. This is how the American direction was designated in some Soviet institutions in pre-perestroika times.

The meeting in Geneva with Biden was a confirmation of the effectiveness of Moscow's long-term policy towards the West. All observers talk in detail about the return of ambassadors, about the resumption of negotiations on the reduction of strategic weapons, about the possible expansion of cooperation in the antiterrorist sphere, and even about Antarctica. But the main news was the recognition again of Russia as the second world power, with which they speak the language of equals. Not overtaking everyone in the amount of produced China, but economically moderate Russia.

The manifestation of a new atmosphere in Geneva can be viewed as an awareness by the Americans of the need to reduce the degree of tension with the Kremlin due to the growing competitiveness of China. This is a motivating factor, no doubt. But the general heading remains the recognition of Russia as the second most important world empire.

Recognition does not mean agreeing with the Kremlin's policies or renouncing the role of the first and foremost in the world. But the transition to the language of discussing mutual interests in the tone of the detente of the seventies - this is what President Putin has been striving for over the past ten years. All this can be framed with reservations and objections, but Biden's public rejection of the vocabulary of threats and ultimatums heralds new opportunities in US-Russian relations.

All this does not mean an immediate lifting of sanctions or a solution to the problem of Crimea and Donbass. Mutual tactics will be distinguished by gradualness and "bargaining" on each item. One should not expect from Washington a sincere and complete recognition of Russia as an equal. But instead of dismissive arrogance, Americans are beginning to return to exchange-style conversations with Soviet Moscow in the old days.

We note right away that the US 45th President Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated (and even after Biden came to the White House) a sincere desire for constructive and friendly relations with Vladimir Putin's Russia. But, by his own recent admission, the state apparatus with the Democratic Party prevented him from promoting the policies he believed in. Now we see no prerequisites for a friendly atmosphere. This is a recognition of mutual interests and a business discussion of them.

There is a fashionable theory among political scientists that it is the hawkish republicans who can successfully negotiate with Moscow or Beijing. They say they do not have an itchy Republican hawkish opposition. So it was during the years of Nixon's rapprochement with Brezhnev in ancient times.

According to that logic, it was during the rule of Donald Trump that positive changes were to be expected. But in the United States, a coalition of the democratic opposition with the special services has emerged against the 45th president, using the Russian factor to discredit him. In the role of itching and tormenting hawks, the democrats, usually inclined to detente, together with the state system, acted. This completely destroyed all Trump's good undertakings with regard to Russia.

But Joe Biden is not put in a wheel. The shadow of his son's dark deeds in the Burisma company and the recordings of Biden's conversations with Petro Poroshenko at that time could lead to dire consequences for both, but without any “Russian trace”.

Biden will love the role of Richard Nixon in the early seventies. It is logical to assume that signs of good intentions may follow from Moscow in dealing with internal opposition and in the degree of "bite" of the controlled cyberspace aces.

It is dangerous to engage in long-term forecasts now. We can definitely sum up: Putin's tough and active policy turned out to be justified. Consistent with Russian interests.

Lashkar's plot to kill Hindu leaders, journalists: 3 operatives sentenced to 10 years in jail
[ONEINDIA] A special court of the National Investigation Agency has convicted and sentenced three Lashkar-e-Tayiba operatives to 10 years rigorous imprisonment in connection with the Nanded Lashkar case.

Those convicted are Mohammad Muzammil, Mohammad Sadiq and Mohammad Akram.
The first Moe is named for a powerful emetic.
The case was first registered at the ATS Kalachowki, Mumbai following the recovery of firearms and subsequent arrest of the accused.

The probe found that the accused are members of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Harkat-ul-Jihad-i-Islami.

The case was then handed over to the NIA.

The probe revealed that Akram went to Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century...
under the guise of seeking employment as a driver with the help of another accused, Mohammad Abdul Majeed, a native of Hyderabad.

He settled in Riyadh and during his stay he was introduced to many members of the outfit including Abdul Hanzala, who is absconding.

Investigations also revealed that Akram and the other accused persons had held conspiracy meetings at Riyadh and Dammam to carry out assassination of Hindu leaders, journalists, politicians and coppers in various parts of India.

Akram was then sent back to India to execute the plan in cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Nanded.

He was assigned the job to identify suitable targets.

In June 2021, they had travelled to Hyderabad to meet one Obaid-ur-Rehman for the identification of suitable targets and plan the attack, the NIA said.

After years of delays, Jordan said to nix Red Sea-Dead Sea canal with Israel, PA
[IsraelTimes] Report says kingdom will pull the plug on pipeline and instead focus on internal desalination project.
They’ve taken long enough to get to the inevitable. Because for Jordan’s rulers, working with outside Palestinians would give the local lot dangerous ideas, while working with the Joos is too icky for words.
Jordan has decided to cancel a highly touted joint project with Israel and the Paleostinian Authority for a canal linking the Red Sea and the Dead Sea, after years of the plan stagnating, the Kan public broadcaster reported Thursday.

According to the report, Amman has decided to finally pull the plug on the joint pipeline, citing unnamed sources saying there was "no real Israeli desire" for the plan to go ahead.

Instead Jordan will reportedly focus on a potential internal project that will see water pumped from the Red Sea and desalinated at a facility in Aqaba.

However,
a hangover is the wrath of grapes...
even if donors are found to fund that internal water supply project, it will take time to build and the kingdom will in any case still have a shortfall that requires continued purchase of some 50 million cubic meters of water per year from Israel supplied under the peace agreements between the two countries, Kan said.

The Red Sea-Dead Sea canal project had long been delayed by bureaucratic hurdles, financing difficulties and environmentalist objections, compounded by Israel’s lack of a functioning government for two years.

The project was further harmed by diplomatic tensions between Israel and Jordan although newly installed Foreign Minister Yair Lapid appeared to court better ties on Monday, praising King Abdullah as "an important strategic ally" and promising to work with him.

After being talked about for years, an agreement on the canal was signed in 2013 with the aim of helping to alleviate Jordan’s severe water shortage while helping replenish the fast-shrinking Dead Sea.

According to the plan, a desalination plant in Jordan would provide much-needed drinking water to the region while its leftover brine would be pumped north to the Dead Sea to replenish the fast-shrinking lake, while also producing green energy
... the attempt to produce energy without using fossil fuel. The preferred methods are solar, wind, geothermal, phlogiston, philosophers' stones, and rattling bears' teeth. The approach with the most promise involves attaching generators to perpetual motion machines, but using Words of Power to summon energy-rich demons may also work. The green in the term refers to the vast number of dollars that have been thrown at the problem since 1973 with indifferent results...
through the use of water turbines.

Israel was to see very little economic gain from the canal project, which would have cost the country around $1 billion, but as well as the environmental impact on the Dead Sea, there was also the strategic aim of the pipeline helping to maintain Jordan’s stability.

A devastating drought in Syria, from 2006 to 2011, is credited with helping to fuel the deadly civil war there, as farmers moved to the cities, where unemployment intensified discontent, which was further exacerbated by food shortages.

Jordan is one of the most water-starved countries in the world. It draws nearly 60 percent of its water from underground aquifers, extracting at twice the rate that the groundwater can be renewed. The rest comes from rivers and streams.

In the capital, Amman, water is supplied to rooftop tanks once a week; other areas of the country are supplied even less frequently.

According to one estimate, Jordan’s water is enough to sustain two million people, in a country that has close to ten million — a figure swelled over the past decade by 1.5 million refugees, most of them fleeing civil war in neighboring Syria.

#1  to make the Red to Dead project work, would require much better tunnel machines than we now have as the work would be along 150 miles of difficult geology (also the environmentalists will oppose it vigorously)

Covid Emergency at US Embassy in Afghanistan
The U.S. Embassy in Kabul on Thursday ordered staff to avoid leaving their quarters to cope with a surge of Covid-19 cases that has filled intensive care units and led to multiple evacuations and the death of at least one staff member.

An internal management notice reviewed by The Wall Street Journal described a chaotic situation at the embassy. Some 114 coronavirus cases have been confirmed among staff, it said.

The rapid spread of the illness has stretched medical facilities, according to the notice, forcing health units to create temporary wards to deal with an influx of patients. The intensive care unit at the U.S. military hospital that supports the embassy is at full capacity and several staff members have been evacuated.
-1. How could people not be vaccinated by now in the embassy.
2. Obviously, this is not just at the embassy but country-wide.

#8  From yesterday:
So don't say "Urbanism doesn't work". Say "American cities become liberal hellholes".

Urbanism works, until it doesn't.

Every city is the product of manufacturing or/and service. The Legacy Cities are a product of both.

*Service is trade route hub or/and government

The rest of the population is there to support those enterprises.

Centers of Learning, traditionally, need a gathering of information, a library, and a conductive environment, food shelter and curiosity. Information hubs were best found in major trade hubs.

That is, population density is irrelevant to the quality of a Center of Learning, other than perhaps enough people to care for the daily chores of said learners.

Traditionally.

My kids laugh at me when I tell them that to do my school work, I had to go the the library and know the Dewey Decimal System.

I laugh at them, because the have the entire knowledge of human history in their pocket and they are using it for cat memes, and can't even figure out the proper way to say meme.

So no. Cities are not pre-requisites for science, technology, or arts; they just tend to share the same location.

It ticks me when City People think they are the end-all fountain head, when in reality they are the end product. I'm not hating on cities, or city people, or even city culture. I'm just noting that connections are important.

And the problem with Urban Theory is not just an American problem.

The you in this case being the Democratic voters and Democratic government officials.
[Maga Institute] STRONG WORDS
Yes, I will grant you that this is forceful rhetoric, but perhaps it's not strong enough to get your attention. Have you watched how the United States Commander-in-Chief is mentally deteriorating? Not one of you can honestly answer that in the negative. So, then what is your excuse for letting him continue in that role?

First, you have yourself totally to blame for putting him in that position in the first place when you knew he did not legally win the 2020 presidential election. Everybody in America and around the world saw hundreds of thousands of people turn out for Trump rallies while Biden and Harris neither one of them could even draw a half a dozen people at a time. Yet you claim they got 80 million votes and Trump got far less? You know we don't believe those lies!

But your culpability in stealing this election will be far less than if you allow an incompetent person to have control of America's nuclear arsenal. I'm not saying anything that our enemies around the world don't already know. They don't even need counterintelligence or spies. All they have to do is watch YouTube and listen to Joe Biden stand there with his constant deer-in-the-headlights look.

U.S. urges 'very substantial' prison term for Michael Avenatti over Nike extortion
[NEWS.YAHOO] The once high-flying Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, lawyer Michael Avenatti deserves a "very substantial" prison sentence for trying to extort millions of dollars from Nike Inc, U.S. prosecutors told a judge.

The Wednesday night recommendation came one week after Avenatti's lawyers said their client should spend no more than six months behind bars plus one year of home confinement.

U.S. District Judge Paul Gardephe is scheduled to sentence Avenatti on June 30 in Manhattan.

Probation officers recommend eight years in prison for Avenatti, and prosecutors said federal guidelines recommend more than 11 years.

Lawyers for Avenatti did not immediately respond on Thursday to requests for comment.

Avenatti, 50, became famous in 2018 when he represented adult film actress Stormy Daniels in lawsuits against then-U.S. President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
He was convicted of threatening to publicly accuse Nike of secretly paying families of college basketball prospects unless it paid him and another lawyer up to $25 million for a probe and his client, youth basketball coach Gary Franklin, $1.5 million.

Jurors also convicted Avenatti of defrauding Franklin by not telling him he wouldn't settle without a probe.

Avenatti "betrayed his client and sought to enrich himself by weaponizing his public profile," prosecutors said. "This was an egregious abuse of trust."

In letters to Gardephe, Nike maintained that Avenatti's accusations were false, while Franklin said Avenatti's actions "destroyed my reputation in my community."

Avenatti's lawyers have said their client has suffered enough during his "epic fall and public shaming," including three months in a Manhattan jail and ridicule by Trump and the former president's media supporters.

They also said a recurrence was impossible because Avenatti would never again practice law.

Avenatti was convicted in February 2020.

He still faces two trials in California on charges he stole millions of dollars from clients and committed tax and bank fraud, and another trial in Manhattan for allegedly defrauding Daniels out of money from a book contract.

Avenatti has pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
to all charges.

Seattle Cops Threatened With Termination Unless They Hand Over Personal Communications
[PJMEDIA] Six Seattle coppers are being threatened with termination unless they turn over personal communications in the wake of their visits to Washington, D.C., to attend the Jan 6th Trump rally.
Oh. This isn’t a question of their behavour on the job, but thoughtcrime while on vacation.
The Office of Police Accountability (OPA) has asked for private communications even after the officers were cleared of any wrongdoing associated with the Capitol riot.

Two of the officers posted pictures on social media showing they attended the Trump rally that day. Four more came forward voluntarily to confirm their attendance. Each officer was on vacation, and none were in uniform.

But the investigation that cleared the officers wasn’t enough for the OPA. They carried out a "pro-active investigation" on their own and are demanding the coppers turn over their personal information or face termination.

San Francisco cops say viral Walgreens shoplifting incident is par for the course
[NYPOST] the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
has become a shoplifter’s paradise — with thieves like the one caught on video looting a Walgreens emboldened by relaxed punishment for the crime as businesses shutter, cops say.

The Walgreens heist, which happened right in front of a security guard, renewed the debate over a controversial city law called Proposition 47.

"What happened in that Walgreens has been going on in that city for quite a while," San Francisco police Lt. Tracy McCray said on Fox News’ "America’s Newsroom" Wednesday.

"I’m used to it," McCray continued. "I mean, we can have a greatest hits compilation of people just walking in and cleaning out the store shelves and security guards, the people who work there, just standing by helplessly because they can’t do anything."

Cops and prosecutors are at odds over Proposition 47, a 2014 referendum that lowered the penalty for stealing goods worth less than $950 from a felony to a misdemeanor.

McCray said the law only emboldens criminals.

Off-Duty Jersey City Officer Brutally Beaten By 10 Men
[DAILYVOICE] An off-duty Jersey City police officer was hospitalized after being beaten by a group of 10 men in a racially-motivated attack over the weekend, authorities said. The 42-year-old white officer was bleeding form his head and face when his colleagues were flagged down near Grove Street and Newark Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.

The officer was assaulted by a group of 10 males, who were also shouting racially motivated insults at the victim, she said.

The unnamed victim identified himself as an off-duty police officer multiple times throughout the assault before losing consciousness, Wallace-Scalcione said.

He was transported to a local hospital with severe head trauma, where he was treated and released.

Two executions in South Carolina are BLOCKED until the state can form a firing squad so that the inmates are able to choose how they die
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • The state's Supreme Court on Wednesday blocked the planned executions of Brad Sigmon and Freddie Owens until they can choose how they die

  • Under new capital punishment law, inmates are able to choose death by electrocution, lethal injection or firing squad

  • Sigmon and Owens both chose lethal injection, but the state doesn't have the necessary drugs for that method of execution

  • Corrections officers have also not yet assembled a firing squad, therefore electrocution would be the only option

Texas Border Patrol finds 33 illegal immigrants packed in a U-Haul with temperature above 100 degrees
[FoxNews] The U.S.-Mexico border has been closed since March 2020 because of the pandemic and it’s not known when it will reopen. However, it’s forcing cartels to change their drug trafficking tactics as they’re now recruiting American’s to do the job.

Texas Border Patrol agents busted yet another human smuggling operation, this time involving 33 illegal immigrants packed inside a 100-degree U-Haul van with zero ventilation.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents made the discovery over the weekend outside a McDonald's restaurant in the west Texas town of Van Horn.

The immigrants inside the U-Haul truck were suffering from heat-related maladies and around a dozen needed medical treatment, but none died, according to a local station.

"Had our heroic agents not been able to free these trapped undocumented migrants, we could have seen 33 miserable deaths in this event," Border Patrol's Big Bend Sector Chief Sean McGoffin told KVIA. "Smugglers do not care what type of misery they put people through as they take their money."

No additional details were provided. Fox News has reached out to Border Patrol’s Big Bend Sector seeking comment.

The discovery came less than a week after agents intercepted another U-Haul truck carrying 27 illegal immigrants.

Like those found in Van Horn, the temperature inside the truck was blistering hot, 106 degrees. None of the immigrants were wearing personal protective equipment.

Economy
Jobless Claims Exceed Expectations - Unexpectedly!
[Washington Examiner] The number of new applications for unemployment benefits rose 37,000 last week to 412,000, the Labor Department reported on Thursday.

The number of new jobless claims represents the number of people who filed for unemployment in the previous week. The new figure was more than forecasters' expectations of 359,000 new claims. The number is also higher than the week before, which saw 375,000 filings.

Weekly jobless claims are being watched closely as the U.S. economy recovers because recent monthly jobs reports have been less than stellar and have added to concerns that the country could be in the throes of a labor shortage.

The economy fell slightly short of expectations last month and added 559,000 new jobs, a number that was below the 650,000-consensus level but was still far more positive than the surprisingly bad report from the month before. Only 278,000 jobs were added in April, a figure way below predictions of nearly 1 million additional jobs.

Iran increases penetration in Syria through economic projects: economic expert
[NPASYRIA] Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
expands and increases its power in Syria through several projects to secure the export of Iranian goods for fear of an embargo by the Gulf states, said an economic expert on Thursday.

Searching for activating the agreements comes as an attempt to support the Iranian economy that has been witnessing a significant decline for more than a year, George Tabra, a pseudonym for a professor at the Faculty of Economy at the University of Damascus, told North Press.

"Iran is a country close to self-sufficiency, meaning that Syria is unable to meet any of Iran’s needs, but the agreements are in favor of passing Iranian goods to Syria," he added.

Tabra pointed out that the rail link project between Syria and Iran passing through Iraq is for securing the export of Iranian goods in the first class, for fear of an embargo by the Gulf states.

These agreements will enhance the Iranian control and presence in Syria with no good for Syria, according to the expert.

Yesterday, talks between ministers of the Syrian government and president of the Joint Syrian Iranian Economic Committee, Muhammad Islami were held.

The talks focused on the implementation of the rail link project, activation of free trade, exchange of goods, barter system and money transfer, according to official media outlets of the Syrian and Iranian governments.

Police arrested an imam in the central city of Lod on Thursday on suspicion of incitement to violence, weeks after ethnic riots rocked the mixed Jewish-Arab city.

Sheikh Yusuf Albaz, 63, an imam at Lod’s Great Mosque, was questioned by investigators in the Lahav 433 unit. He was later released to house arrest by the Rishon Lezion Magistrates’ Court. However, his release was postponed after police requested a 24-hour delay while the force files an appeal against the decision at the district court.

Chicago mayor declares racism a 'public health crisis' and directs $10mn in Covid funds to campaign contributors 'equity zones'
[RT] Mayor Lori Lightfoot
...the diminutive and vacuous Heronner da Mare of Chicago. When the corpse count rises she blames the guns, which are banned anyway. A racist to the bone, Lori sez that people with the same skin tone all think alike, not quite getting the implications for a city with a population less than thirty percent black...
has deemed racism a "public health crisis" in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
, vowing to allocate nearly $10 million in federal coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
relief money to create "equity zones" around the city and improve her "anti-racist" policies.
Lightfoot announced the new initiative on Thursday, arguing the new health "equity zones" will help to address Chicago’s "legacy of systemic racism." "At almost every single point in our city's history, racism has taken a devastating toll on the health and wellbeing of our residents of color — especially those who are black," the mayor said.

That's why I am declaring racism as a public health crisis and looking forward to doubling down on both ongoing and new collaborations with city officials and community leaders to address the racist policies that have wreaked havoc on our black and Latinx communities.

The move comes days after the city health department issued a report finding that the life expectancy for black residents is shorter by more than 9 years compared to those of other racial groups. It also found a higher prevalence of certain diseases, such as diabetes, in the African-American community.

Aiming to address the "racial life expectancy gap" and "improve anti-racist policies," the city will dole out $9.6 million in federal Covid-19 relief funds to create six "equity zones" around Chicago, selecting a series of healthcare facilities and community organizing groups to lead the charge.

While Lightfoot’s office said the funds will be used to "create community-based stakeholder coalitions" and "improve community and individual wellness," the exact function of the "equity zones" remains unclear. Ayesha Jaco, executive director of West Side United, one of the groups receiving relief dollars, described the project as an "extension" of the city’s Racial Equity Rapid Response Team, established to tackle Covid-19 in "high-risk communities." That included efforts to boost "vaccine confidence" and access, as well as helping residents schedule appointments for immunizations, among other things.

Government forces shell opposition in Syria's northwest
[NPASYRIA] On Thursday, the de-escalation zone in northwest Syria witnessed a mutual bombing between Syrian government forces and Ottoman Turkish-backed armed opposition groups.

The government forces targeted sites of the opposition in the towns of Kansafra, Ain Laroz and al-Bara of the Zawiya Mountain in the southern countryside of Idlib, with artillery shells, military sources of the opposition told North Press.

Another targeting with rocket launchers and mortar shells affected the opposition in al-Ziyadiya and al-Mashik towns in Ghab Plain, west of Hama, the sources added.

The shelling coincided with the flight of Russian warplanes and reconnaissance over Idlib, Hama, Latakia and Aleppo.

On the other side, the al-Fath al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes several gangs, targeted gatherings of government forces in Saraqib town, east of Idlib.

The military escalation between the government forces and the armed opposition groups comes despite the passage of more than a year of the ceasefire entry into force.

Suspect in 'unprovoked' stabbing of Asian woman was freed from jail days earlier
[NYPOST] A 94-year-old Asian woman was stabbed multiple times in an "unprovoked" attack in the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
by a burglary suspect who was released from jail nine days earlier, according to police and court records.

Daniel Cauich, 35, was wearing an ankle monitor when he was arrested Wednesday on charges including attempted homicide, elder abuse and committing a felony while on bail or release, NBC Bay Area reported, citing police.

Cauich, who had reportedly been arrested five times last year on burglary charges, was sprung by a judge on June 7 to await his trial after his most recent arrest for burglary on May 18, according to court records cited by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Authorities said Cauich was taken into custody without incident less than two hours after the elderly victim was stabbed several times in front of her apartment.

"Officers also located a knife near the scene of the crime believed to have been used in the commission of the stabbing," police said in a statement. "At this time Sherlocks believe the attack was unprovoked and are working to determine if race was a motivating factor in the incident."

The victim, Anh Taylor, was recovering at a hospital Wednesday and is expected to survive, according to NBC Bay Area. She had surgery on her wrist, which was badly cut during the attack, a news hound for the station tweeted.

"A man seemed like he had bumped her into a wall and then I heard her scream," a San Francisco woman identified only as Jasmine told NBC Bay Area. "When I ran over, I saw blood gushing all over. I said, ’What happened?’ She said, ’I don’t know, he stabbed me.’"

In September, Cauich was one of three suspects arrested in a string of burglaries in San Francisco’s North Beach section, where homes were robbed of bicycles, police said.

Cauich was convicted on multiple burglary charges in March, receiving a one-year jail sentence along with probation. He ultimately served more than 100 days before being released early in April, the Chronicle reported, citing court records.

Five years earlier, Cauich was arrested along with his brother in the fatal stabbing of a 55-year-old man, but a judge dismissed the case in February 2019 upon finding no sufficient cause to believe he was guilty. A third suspect in the case remains in jail awaiting trial, the newspaper reported.

Palestinian teen shot by IDF, allegedly while throwing explosive, dies
Follow up to this report from yesterday.
[IsraelTimes] A 16-year-old Paleostinian who was shot by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank, allegedly after hurling an bomb at them, died of his injuries on Thursday.

The Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday a group of dozens of Paleostinians was making its way toward troops at the Evyatar illegal outpost when one charged at them and threw a suspicious object, which went kaboom!. An IDF soldier fired first in the air and then toward the suspect, who was hit and critically injured. There were no Israeli casualties, the army said.

According to the Paleostinian Authority’s Wafa news agency, the teenager, a resident of nearby Beita, south of Nablus, died in the hospital early Thursday of a gunshot wound to the head. He was identified as Ahmad Zahi Bani Shamsa.

Three other Paleostinians were killed by Israeli fire during different festivities between Beita residents and Israeli forces in recent days, including another teenager, 15-year-old Mohammad Hamayel.

The area around Beita has seen repeated festivities between Israeli forces and Paleostinians in recent weeks following the reestablishment of a new West Bank outpost known as Evyatar on land close to the town. Paleostinians have hurled stones at troops and burned swaths of land, while Israeli soldiers have responded with riot dispersal munitions and live bullets.

The land on which Evyatar was reestablished in April historically belonged to the adjacent Paleostinian villages of Beita, Kablan and Yitma, though residents have been barred access to it for decades for what the IDF has said were security reasons.

The outpost has quickly grown over the last two months, swelling to roughly 40 buildings for dozens of families. The outpost’s Facebook page boasts that Evyatar prevents contiguity between the surrounding Paleostinian villages while connecting the Israeli settlement of Tapuah to the Za’atara Junction and Migdalim settlement.

On Sunday, the head of the IDF’s Central Command issued a "demarcation order" barring additional construction in Evyatar and ordering all inhabitants to vacate the site and remove their belongings by next week.

Evyatar has already been razed several times since it was built in 2013 after the murder of Yitzhar resident Evyatar Borovsky in a stabbing attack at the Tapuah Junction.

Little Late Camels have been in the USA since about 1855

In 1855, under the direction of then-Secretary of War Jefferson Davis, Congress appropriated $30,000 for "the purchase and importation of camels and dromedaries to be employed for military purposes." Davis believed that camels were key to the country's expansion westward; a transcontinental railroad was still decades away from being built, and he thought the animals could be well suited to haul supplies between remote military outposts. By 1857, after a pair of successful trips to the Mediterranean and the Middle East, the U.S. Army had purchased and imported 75 camels. Within a decade, though, each and every one would be sold at auction.

NIA charges Kerala man who helped set up ISIS province in forests of South India
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency has filed a chargesheet against an ISIS terrorist from Chennai. The case was first registered by the Q Branch CID, Chennai against Syed Ali, a resident of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

The case arose following the arrest of a few persons who had conspired at Salem and Chennai who had fraudulently activated SIM cards by using multiple identity documents of various persons without their knowledge and consent.

The probe found that the SIM cards were used by the accused for terrorist activities. The NIA later took over the probe and found that the SIM were supplied to ISIS operatives Khaja Moideen and Liyakath Ali. Moideen along with the others had used these SIM cards to organise conspiracy meetings, recruit persons, collect prohibited arms and ammunition, procure jungle training equipment, raise funds and harbour their associates.

They were also making and testing IEDs, used the dark web for communications with their foreign based handler as part of the preparations to wage Jihad. They were also trying to establish a province of the ISIS in the forests of South India, the NIA said.

The NIA said that Syed Ali alias Vinjani (Scientist) is highly tech-savvy. He had assisted Moideen in using the dark web, encrypted communication to communicate with a foreign based handler and had also participated in conspiracy meetings and arranged safe hide-outs. In order to further this conspiracy, he had also procured kabooms and gadgets to experiment with IEDs.

IRS Denies Tax-Exempt Status to Church Benefiting Republican Values
[Epoch Times] An IRS official denied tax-exempt status to a Texas group that encourages church members to pray for state and national leaders, regardless of their party affiliation, because it benefits "the private interests of the [Republican] Party."

"You do not qualify as an organization described in IRS Section 501(c)(3). You engage in prohibited political campaign intervention," wrote Stephen A. Martin, director of the IRS Office of Exempt Organizations Rulings and Agreements, in a May 18 letter (pdf) to Christians Engaged, the Garland, Texas-based prayer group recognized by Texas officials as tax-exempt.

"The Bible teachings are typically affiliated with the [Republican] party and candidates. This disqualifies you from exemption under IRS Section 501(c)(3)."

Christians Engaged President Bunni Pounds said in a statement issued by the First Liberty Institute: "We just want to encourage more people to vote and participate in the political process. How can anyone be against that?"

First Liberty Institute is appealing Martin’s decision on behalf of Christians Engaged.

"The IRS states in an official letter that Biblical values are exclusively Republican. That might be news to President Joe Biden, who is often described as basing his political ideology on his religious beliefs," First Liberty Institute counsel Lea Patterson said in the statement.

NOOOOOO!!
[PJMedia] Megan Rapinoe among ’trailblazing’ women replacing Victoria’s Secret angels

If James Bond were real, he’d be dead before the opening credits.
I thought she wanted to look like a man.
But you know — and maybe even love — the routine.

Most every Bond movie opens with Bond finishing up his previous, off-screen adventure with some daring stunt, followed by the sexy opening credits and the new movie’s new theme song.

At the end, after Bond is done saving the world from some unlikely villain, he beds the woman with the unlikely name in some unlikely locale.

Cue the main theme and closing credits.

Insanity Wrap used the word "routine" to describe the contrivances of a typical Bond movie, but they’re really anything but.

Bond movies sell a fantasy, an escape from routine.

There’s nothing believable about an unkillable secret agent with a license to kill, whose corny lines somehow always get the women into bed with him.

Women, as they say, want Bond, and men want to be Bond.

The fact that no man is Bond (and, sadly, no woman is actually Plenty O’Toole) isn’t important.

People enjoy the fantasy. People need the escape.

Does every woman who buys something for herself look like a Victoria’s Secret Angel? No, but that’s beside the point.

And when a man buys something for his woman from Vicky’s, that doesn’t mean he’s dating an Angel. That’s beside the point, too.

Victoria’s Secret is in the same business as Eon Productions — the company behind the Bond movies. They sell fantasy.
Seeing Rapinoe in Victoria Secret is not any fantasy of mine.
Part of that fantasy is the models — affectionately known as "Angels" — who are as nearly as unlikely human specimens as James Bond.

So when our friend and colleague Stacey Lennox forwarded us a report that crybaby National Women’s Soccer League star Megan Rapinoe would be modeling for troubled fantasy retailer Victoria’s Secret, Insanity Wrap got a bitter little laugh out of it.

When Stacey went on to say, "One of my followers asked why they were replacing pretty models with ’eye broccoli,'" we actually, literally, really howled.

We aren’t certain that fashion mag Marie Claire meant to be so indelicate, but they headlined the story with "Victoria’s Secret is replacing angels with advocates."

Fantasy is no longer allowed. You’ll get your lingerie and a lecture, instead.

Not even George Lazenby and Later Roger Moore combined were enough to destroy the Bond movie franchise, but Insanity Wrap is certain that replacing Angels with Advocates will be the final nail in Vicky’s swiftly closing casket.

Israeli tanks destroy outpost used by Iranian proxies on Syrian border — report

[IsraelTimes] Syrian media says strike hit observation post near al-Qahtaniah, used by Hezbollah and other Tehran-linked groups; follows IDF attack on Syrian military base nearby.

Israeli tanks shelled an observation post used by an Iran-aligned militia in the Syrian Golan early Thursday morning, Syrian media reported.

According to Syria’s Enab Baladi outlet, the outpost near the village of al-Qahtaniah in the Quneitra region was destroyed in the attack.

The Israel Defense Forces refused to comment on the matter, in line with its policy of not officially acknowledging specific strikes in Syria, save for those that are in retaliation for attacks against Israel.

According to Enab Baladi, the observation post, which was located some 150 meters from the border, was officially under the control of the 90th Brigade of the Syrian military’s 1st Corps, but was often used by Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and its proxies, notably the Lebanese terrorist militia Hezbollah. Israel has long maintained that this Syrian unit works closely with these Iranian-backed groups.

A Syrian activist from the area told the outlet that the outpost was regularly visited by a leading Hezbollah commander who goes by Jawad Hashem, and whose father — known as Hajj Hashem — is officially tasked with leading Hezbollah’s efforts along the Syrian-Israeli border, known as the Golan File.

Late last month, IDF drones reportedly dropped flyers near the border with a photograph of Jawad Hashem and several top Syrian officers, warning residents of the area that "Hezbollah is using you." In the past, such flyers have been dropped as warnings ahead of attacks on Hezbollah posts along the border.

On June 1, the IDF said it destroyed another Syrian regime observation post that was established on the Israeli side of the buffer zone in the Golan Heights. The military "destroyed a forward observation post of the Syrian army that was set up in an Israeli area west of the Alfa line in the Golan Heights," front man Avichay Adraee wrote on Twitter at the time, referring to the Israeli side of a UN-patrolled buffer zone between both countries.

He said troops attacked and blew up the post, adding that Israel would not "tolerate any attempt to violate the illusory sovereignty" of the Jewish state. The site is on the Syrian side of the border fence, but still technically in Israeli territory.
