US Navy destroyer captain was FIRED for bullying subordinates by repeatedly calling them 'f***ing retarded', 'useless' and 'stupid'
  • Fired US Navy commander Frank Azzarello's abusive language and insults towards his subordinates 'crossed professional lines and constituted harassment'

  • That conclusion was drawn by a recently released command investigation

  • Azzarello was relieved of his duty in January on destroyer USS Forrest Sherman reportedly for taking home a seized enemy rifle as a trophy for his ship's wardroom without following procedure

  • But a the command investigation found he referred to his junior officers as 'f–king retarded,' 'useless' and 'stupid'

  • Azzarello's lawyer said the investigation contained 'false allegations' and the junior officers were 'inadequately trained before the ship's deployment'

US warplanes fly first combat missions off foreign aircraft carrier since World War II as Marine Corps F-35B jets take off from HMS Queen Elizabeth to fight ISIS in the Middle East
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • US planes haven't flown combat missions from a foreign warship since 1943, when they took off from Britain's HMS Victorious in the South Pacific during World War II

  • US F-35B jets took off from the HMS Queen Elizabeth this weekend, itself the first aircraft carrier of Britain's to see combat action in a decade

  • The mission against ISIS is part of the US's Operation Inherent Resolve, as well as the UK's Operation Shader

  • Military officials did not specify the location or target of the combat strikes

  • Royal Navy carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, a $5billion ship, is taking on the 'lion's share' of operations in Iraq

  • Commodore Steve Moorhouse said the UK is carrying out most of the missions to wipe out remnants of ISIS

  • US forces are instead focusing on withdrawing its remaining troops from Afghanistan after two decades

  • Russian warplanes have also been keeping tabs on state-of-the-art F-35 jet aboard the 65,000-tonne ship

Michael Flynn: 2022 won't be 'free and fair election' if 2020 issues aren't resolved
[Just The News] Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn argued Tuesday that 2020 voter fraud issues will reemerge in the upcoming midterms, saying "election integrity is not something that's gonna go away,"

"There's one thing I learned in my political persecution, the truth will come out — it will come out, and it is coming out," Flynn told the John Solomon Reports podcast. "And actually the people of this country, that's all they want. If it was just mistakes made, people will forgive — the American people will forgive mistakes."

Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI only to have President Trump pardon him after the Justice Department asked U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan to dismiss the charge.

"But if there's corruption, criminal activity, and malfeasance, to use your words, then the American people are not — they're going to be very unforgiving," continued Flynn, a member of the 2016 Trump campaign, then his first White House national security adviser. "So it's better to come out sooner than later because if it comes out later, I'm afraid that the American people will ... take actions into their own hands."

He spoke amid GOP-led audits of 2020 presidential election votes in Arizona's Maricopa County and in Georgia's Fulton County.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran likely had failed rocket launch, preparing for another
[FoxNews] ran likely conducted a failed launch of a satellite-carrying rocket in recent days and now appears to be preparing to try again, the country's latest effort to advance its space program amid tensions with the West over its tattered nuclear deal.

Satellite images, a U.S. official and a rocket expert all confirmed the failed launch, earlier this month, at the Imam Khomeini Spaceport in Iran's Semnan province. The attempt comes as Iran's space program has suffered a series of high-profile losses, while its paramilitary Revolutionary Guard runs its own parallel program that launched a satellite into orbit last year.

Iran’s Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi later Wednesday denied Tehran had a failed satellite launch, but offered no explanation for the activity at the spaceport. Iran's mission to the United Nations did not immediately respond to a request for comment early Wednesday.

Shin Bet reports dramatic increase in West Bank attacks on Israelis
[JPost] - A month after Operation Guardian of the Walls, the IDF continues to struggle to maintain calm in the West Bank. With Israel’s attention focused on the Gaza Strip, the flames of violence in the West Bank are at risk of exploding.

According to data released by the Shin Bet, there were 592 attacks in the West Bank and another 178 in Jerusalem in the month of May, compared to a total of 104 in April (80 in the West Bank and 24 in Jerusalem). The May attacks included 401 firebombings, 33 pipe bombs, 87 arson attacks, 47 small-arms fire, two grenade attacks, one vehicular attack and others.

One Israeli civilian, Yehuda Guetta, was also killed in a shooting attack at the Tapuach Junction in early May by 44 year-old Muntasir Shalabi.

Most of the attacks that took place were not carried out by groups, but by lone wolves. Those kinds of attacks, the IDF has admitted, are much more challenging to thwart than attacks planned by groups. If you don’t have an organization you don’t have the signature of the preparedness of the specific attack. Despite the challenges, the great majority of attacks have been thwarted by security forces.

...Along with the high number of attacks against Israeli targets, a report by Ynet news found that 34 Palestinians were killed over the past month, "more than during any month in the past 10 years."
lets make it 340, and see that happens

The British are no less dependent on Putin and his cronies' billions than we are on Chinese money. Not just cheap Chinese manufacturing and Treasury purchases but also Chinese flight capital, investment, students' tuition payments, real estate purchases etc in this country

Great Prototype.
I see some legitimate immediate uses.

Some off the cuff estimates:

Delivery/parcel/Human lift at about 180 lbs
8 rotors (2x8 16 or 4x8 32 blades)
Estimated speed 0-10 mph
Estimated lift height 0-100+/- ft.
Estimated run time 15-20 mins Max.
Appears to use hand control, NOT Auto weight balancing Gyro controlled.
Appears Not to be Fly by Helmet/Eye controlled.
Cost to build estimate $2,500 to $5,000

POSSIBLE ISSUES:
Not safe over pedestrians
Likely violated a volume of FAA registration & flight regs.
Person likely subject to arrest for Public Endangerment and maybe Federal issues also.

'We're at your door, open it': How Secret Service swooped on Hunter after he accidentally paid Russian prostitute $25K after night at Chateau Marmont on account 'linked to dad Joe Biden', reveals laptop
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Text messages and receipts obtained by the New York Post show that Hunter Biden may have accidentally spent his father's money on an escort in 2018

  • The woman's name was Yanna, an escort from Emerald Fantasy Girls

  • He had spent a number of nights in May, 2018 with the woman at Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont and owed her $8,000, according to the NY Post's report

  • Receipts on his laptop obtained by the Post show, however, that transactions he thought had failed started going through, leading to overcharges of $25,000

  • Hunter would later get most of the money back, but he is soon contacted by someone identified as Robert Savage III, a former Secret Service agent

  • Texts between the two indicate that Savage is concerned about an account related to 'Celtic' a code name for Joe Biden when he was vice president

Battle for Yemen's Marib Leaves 90 Dead in Two Days
[AnNahar] Fighting between Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
i loyalists and Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
s
seeking to take the strategic northern city of Marib has killed 90 fighters in two days, pro-government military sources said Tuesday.

The Iran-allied Lions of Islam escalated their efforts to seize Marib, the government's last stronghold in northern Yemen, in February, and the fighting has killed hundreds on both sides.

Control of the oil-rich region would strengthen the Huthis' bargaining position in peace talks, but the battle has also raised fears of a humanitarian catastrophe, as many Yemenis had fled to the area to escape fighting in other parts of the country.

On Tuesday, loyalist officials told AFP that pro-government forces had repelled Huthi attacks north of the city in festivities that left 63 rebel and 27 loyalist fighters dead since Monday.

That came despite relative calm in recent weeks amid efforts by the United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
and Washington to reach a ceasefire.

One loyalist official told AFP that Huthi attacks had hit a "high rate" since Monday.

Yemen's conflict flared in 2014 when the Huthis seized the capital Sanaa, prompting a Saudi-led military intervention to prop up the government the following year.

The fighting has killed tens of thousands and left some 80 percent of Yemenis dependent on aid, in what the UN calls the world's worst humanitarian crisis.

Al-Shabaab captures town in southern Somalia after UPDF exit
[Garowe] A contingent of Ugandan People's Defense Forces [UPDF]
...are they anything like the Mighty Uruguanans?
exited from Marianguwaay Forward Operating Base in Lower Shabelle, handing over the land to the federal government of Somalia, but only for al-Shabaab
...... the personification of Somali state failure...
snuffies to take control of the town.

The Ugandan troops who serve in AMISOM were relocated as part of troops realignment to give more effective security to main supply routes and general public areas, the mission said in a statement, Tuesday.

Marianguwaay Forward Operating Base was formed in 2014 to ease movement between Barawe and Marka towns in Lower Shabelle. The exit of the troops effectively meant it was officially closed down and the land handed over to the government.

Brig. General Don Nabasa presided over the exit ceremony on Sunday in presence of Governor of Lower Shabelle, Abdikadir Murshid Sidi, and the Deputy District Commissioner of Barawe, Ibrahim Abdinoor.

Also present were the AMISOM Deputy Chief Operations Officer Lt. Col. Alemayehu Abera Kitila, the AMISOM Joint Support Operations Centre [JSOC] Officer, Maximillian Okech, and the Force Spokesperson Lt. Col. Daniel Mugoro.

"The recently concluded sector commanders conference guided by AMISOM Concept of Operations harmonized several tasks for execution by Sector I, which included the relocation of troops from Marianguwaay Forward operating Base to another area to beef up security. This will enhance operational efficiency as we pursue the AMISOM mandate," Nabasa said.

"Marianguwaay has been one of the most peaceful areas. I extend my gratitude on behalf of AMISOM and Sector I to the local leaders and the community for cooperating with our troops," he added.

The governor of Lower Shabelle Abdikadir Murshid Sidi noted that the presence of the AMISOM troops and those from the Somali National Army [SNA] had significantly weakened the al-Shabaab hard boys, who had been controlling hives swathes of the southern parts of the country.

"You have helped us reach great milestones. The transfer of security responsibilities from AMISOM to Somali Security Forces is as a result of efforts and sacrifices made by our African brothers in the fight against terrorist group al-Shabaab," said Sidi.

Ahead of the relocation, AMISOM troops conducted a cleanup that involved removing structures and leveling the ground to restore the environment in line with AMISOM’s environmental standard operating procedures.

"We have cleaned everywhere to leave the environment the way we found it when establishing this FOB. Now we are set to leave for the next destination," said the commander of the Uganda Battle Group 31, Colonel Francis Aragamoi.

Since 2014, AMISOM troops have jointly operated in the general area of Marianguwaay, significantly improving the security situation of the area before the need to take up security responsibilities elsewhere in line with the ongoing AMISOM and SNA Reconfiguration Plan and the revised Concept of Operations [CONOPS] 2018-2021.

But the exit of Ugandan troops seems to have left a big gap given that al-Shabaab snuffies immediately retook the town after years of being flushed out, sparking debate on the preparedness of the Somali National Army [SNA] which is supposed to take over security responsibilities in the country.

Eyewitnesses said the hard boys, who are keen to topple the fragile UN-backed Somalia administration, stormed the town moments after the exit of UPDF, further raising their traditional black flag in the town. The town is now under their full control, witnesses added.

Governor Sidi, who had earlier on commended efforts by security forces, seemingly blamed the SNA troops got delaying in moving to the town. According to him, initial arrangements dictated that SNA troops were to report immediately, but they failed to show in time.

Hebron activist says he was arrested by PA over online criticism
[IsraelTimes] Issa Amro, who has been tried in both Israeli and Paleostinian courts, says he was accused of cybercrime for calling out alleged corruption in the Paleostinian Authority.

A prominent Hebron activist said he was arrested on Monday night and held in jail over a Facebook post that accused the Paleostinian Authority leadership of corruption.

Issa Amro,
...in 2015 he was director of Youth Against Settlements, a Hebron-based Paleostinian activist group, so that’s probably still true ...
a community organizer from the Tel Rumeida neighborhood of Hebron, said he was summoned by Paleostinian police for questioning. Amro said he was released — and then subsequently arrested again and detained overnight.

"I asked why they arrested a certain activist, rather than arresting those who are corrupt. Instead, they arrest those who oppose them," Amro said in a phone call.

Amro said he was detained under the PA’s controversial 2018 cybercrimes law, which allows individuals to be arrested for "slandering" government institutions online. Human rights groups argue the PA has abused the practice to arbitrarily arrest its political opponents.

According to the Paleostinian legal advocacy group Lawyers for Justice, at least 23 West Bank Paleostinians were arrested by the PA for "political reasons" between May 2020 and May 2021.

Amro is a longtime critic of both Israel and the PA who has faced charges in both Israeli and Paleostinian courts. In 2017, Amro spent a week in prison for his criticism of Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
He was also handed a three-month suspended sentence last year by an Israeli military judge, after being convicted of participating in demonstrations without a permit and assault, for pushing an Israeli civilian security guard.

The Hebron activist also recently met with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during the diplomat’s visit to the West Bank as part of a group of Paleostinian civil society leaders.

Government Corruption
Congress is against SpaceX because they can't use it as a ‘jobs program’
[ArsTechnica] Congress isn’t happy about SpaceX’s lunar lander and may vent this week: "I would simply say, Congress supports SLS and Orion."

What makes Wednesday's hearing before the House intriguing is that key US Representatives have signaled that they will not follow the Senate's lead. As part of its version of the Endless Frontier Act, the House Science Committee skipped authorizing funds for a second lunar lander. A US Representative from Seattle, near where Jeff Bezos' Amazon and Blue Origin companies are based, offered a stinging rebuke, telling The Wall Street Journal, "If Jeff Bezos wants to explore space, that’s great, but I don’t think he needs federal dollars."

So it seems clear that the House will not just throw more money at NASA for a second lunar lander. At the same time, the House is fairly hostile toward SpaceX and commercial space. The chair of the House Science Committee, Dallas Democrat Eddie Bernice Johnson, said she was "disappointed" after NASA selected SpaceX as its sole provider of a lunar lander in April.

WILL EBJ GET HER WAY?
Johnson's opposition was not a huge surprise. Last year, she and then-US Representative Kendra Horn issued a joint statement expressing concerns about NASA's plans to rely on a "commercial" provider for a lunar lander. NASA wanted to issue a fixed-price contract for the lander instead of a cost-plus contract. NASA explained that it had used fixed-price contracting as part of its Commercial Crew program, and it proved to be a cheaper and faster method. The agency seemed justified in this, as SpaceX Crew Dragons now safely ferry astronauts to and from the International Space Station.

However, many in Congress have opposed this approach. They cite a desire for NASA to have more "oversight" over these contracts as a rationale for favoring cost-plus contracts. Yet an often unstated rationale likely has more sway over Congress. Under a cost-plus contract, Congress retains some control over who gets space jobs and in which states. Under fixed-price contracts, these decisions are left up to the contractors themselves.

Here is Johnson, in 2020, expressing her concerns about funding the lunar lander with a fixed-price contract: "The multi-year delays and difficulties experienced by the companies of NASA’s taxpayer-funded Commercial Crew program—a program with the far less ambitious goal of just getting NASA astronauts back to low Earth orbit—make clear to me that we should not be trying to privatize America’s Moon-Mars program, especially when at the end of the day American taxpayers, not the private companies, are going to wind up paying the lion’s share of the costs."

Given this backdrop, Wednesday's hearing, called to discuss NASA's budget request for fiscal year 2022, will be worth watching. Nelson's goal will be to secure some funding for Artemis, as he would like to have some competition to spur the program forward.

Johnson, meanwhile, is likely to be unhappy. After Congress appropriated so little funding for a lander in last year's budget, NASA said, 'Fine, we'll take the lowest cost option,' which was SpaceX. To make things worse, from her perspective, NASA ignored her preferred solution for going to the Moon, which was to bypass the commercial lander approach entirely. She supports the SLS rocket, the Orion spacecraft, and big government space programs that supply a lot of jobs. She made this clear during a hearing in 2016, when the prospect of using lower-cost commercial vehicles for space exploration came up.

“To all those NASA and contract employees I would simply say, Congress supports SLS and Orion,” she said. “And we will continue to do so no matter what."

Newly sanctified Tunisian cemetery for migrants filling fast
[AlAhram] In all, around 600 sets of remains are interred in the two cemeteries for migrants colonists. Only three have names

Most of the headstones have dates but no names. Row after row of palest white, practically gleaming in the Mediterranean sun.

The cemetery in Zarzis is nearly exactly as Rachid Koraichi pictured it when he sketched his vision of the ``Garden of Africa'' that would be the final resting place for hundreds of anonymous men, women and kiddies whose bodies have washed up on the shores of this coastal Tunisian city in recent years.

For him, it was a duty ``to make a burial ground, one with presence and intelligence, so that one day the families, the fathers, the mothers, the tribes and the countries know that their children are in a heavenly place, the first step to heaven,`` Koraichi told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named.

Zarzis is a port city where migrants colonists bound for Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
frequently wind up after their boats go astray in the Mediterranean's uncertain currents. One of its cemeteries is already filled with those who died trying to make the crossing. Zarzis residents refused to bury migrants colonists in the local Moslem cemeteries.

So Koraichi decided that the newly dead needed their own burial ground and he bought a plot of land in honor of his brother, who himself drowned in the Mediterranean while trying to migrate to Europe. ``They died in the same waters, they died in the same sea and were taken by the same salt,'' he said.

His cemetery officially opened June 9 with a plan for 600 graves, but he had already been accepting bodies since 2019, soon after he bought the land. It is already one-third full. Koraichi pays for the burials out of his own pocket.

He planted a small garden in the midst of an olive orchard, dotted with pomegranate trees and fragrant jasmine and interspersed with glazed tiles and winding walkways.

In all, around 600 sets of remains are interred in the two cemeteries for migrants colonists. Only three have names.

``For too long, humanity has shown its powerlessness, even indifference, when men and women drown and there are too many who look away,`` Audrey Azoulay, UNESCO's director general, said on a visit to the region June 9 to donate a statue to the cemetery.

As for the belongings that wash up in Zarzis after the shipwrecks, many of them are collected in a nearby museum. Clothes, toys, scraps of identity documents _ in all more than 125,000 shards of lives lost trying to reach Europe over more than two decades.

Mohsen Lihidheb, the museum's founder, is particularly troubled by the shoes, worn over months and years of walking.

``These are the shoes used during the crossing of the Libyan desert which was not easy,`` he said. ``They did not manage to get new shoes in the rich countries, but died in the sea wearing these shoes.''

Since the beginning of this year, 677 people have died on the stretch of central Mediterranean coastline from Libya into Tunisia trying to reach Europe, according to the International Organization for Migration. That figure has risen considerably since last year's slowdown in migration due to the pandemic, despite Europe's efforts to block departures.

Iraq
Almost 200 families return home from al-Jada camp
[Rudaw] Almost 200 families in al-Jada camp have returned to their homes in djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
and Salahaddin, the Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displacement said on Monday.

Minister Evan Faeq Jabro said that 90 displaced families in the camp returned to Mosul, with another 93 families returning to the Sayeed Gharib area of Salahddin.

"The return of the displaced families came after being checked in coordination with the security forces and local authorities, and they were sent to their original areas of residence with all their belongings," Jabro said.

Al-Jada, in Nineveh province, is one of just two camps still open in areas under federal Iraqi control. The camp mainly houses families with suspected links to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. group (ISIS), and received ISIS-affiliated families from al-Hol camp in Syria late last month.

Last year, the Iraqi government began a push to close 17 camps around the country, three years after the defeat of ISIS, including in the Kurdistan Region. The government has been criticised for this policy. Rights monitors say returns must be voluntary.

Many displaced Iraqis are reluctant to return home because of continuing violence in their home areas, a lack of reconstruction, and little in the way of basic services. Some who voluntarily left the camps to salvage their homes and livelihoods have been forced to return to the camps, unable to piece together the basics.

Underwear Inspired by George Floyd - video
[MoonBattery.com] With liberals ascendant, every aspect of the world around you will be politicized, right down to your underwear. If the repellent Megan Rapinoe replacing Adriana Lima at Victoria's Secret doesn't convince recalcitrant counter-moon-bats that resistance is futile, maybe Marks and Spencer underwear inspired by George Floyd will do the job:

The chain has expanded its collection of neutral or nude-coloured underwear so it comes in five shades designed for different skin tones instead of focusing on lighter hues.

M&S the UK's biggest bra and knickers retailer said the range was partly inspired by the global conversation on racial inequality following the horrific death of Mr Floyd in Minneapolis, US, last year.

They don't make horrific deaths like they did back in the days of crucifixion, impalement, drawing and quartering, et cetera. If Floyd's demise was so nightmarish, why do his fellow lowlifes keep taking fentanyl?

M&S's political correctness goes beyond the Black Lives Matter pandering we have come to expect from virtually every corporation:

The retailer is also trying to improve its lingerie range with a collection of post-surgery bras for women who have had a mastectomy and by using representative models.

By "representative," they mean "physically unappealing." At least we no longer have to worry about adolescent boys thinking impure thoughts as they leer at ads for ladies underwear. More likely, they will become horrified into a life of abstinence.

Paul Joseph Watson weighs in on this latest "cynical marketing ploy to attract free media advertising by pandering to woke imbeciles":

(ISIS) liquidation squad in al-Hol camp on Monday, according to a statement from the forces.

The men arrested, all Iraqi nationals, were ISIS members who fled from Anbar to Syria in 2017 after liberation operations carried by Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), according to the SDF. They arrived at al-Hol in 2019.

ISIS leaders outside of the camp informed the SDF that the group had assassinated people in al-Hol, it added.

Al-Hol is home to around 61,000 people, mostly women and kiddies with suspected links to ISIS bully boys. Nearly half the camp’s residents are Iraqis, according to data provided to Rudaw English by Sheikhmus Ahmed, who supervises the administration of Rojava’s IDP and refugee camps.

A number of Iraqis have been killed in the camp this year.

The SDF published confessions in which the men claim to have carried out two successful liquidations, in addition to a third failed attempt
...Curses! Foiled again!...
One man, Masroul Sami, said they assassinated a woman named Ala’a that worked for the SDF intelligence service.

"In the Ala’a operation my supervisor Jarrah called me from a strange number. I was afraid to answer the call, so he sent me a WhatsApp message saying the number belonged to him," he said, adding that his supervisor lived in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
"I did it for money, I was poor and alone in the camp with no job," said Salem Najem.

ISIS controlled swathes of Iraq and Syria in 2014 but was territorially defeated in 2017 and 2019 respectively. However,
a hangover is the wrath of grapes...
it still remains a threat to both countries, especially in border areas.

Afghanistan
Taliban capture Afghanistan's main Tajikistan border crossing
[AlAhram] The crossing is marked by a 700-metre US-funded bridge that opened in 2007 with the aim of boosting trade between the central Asian neighbours

The Taliban
...Arabic for students...
captured Afghanistan's main border crossing with Tajikistan, officials said Tuesday, with security forces abandoning their posts and some fleeing across the frontier.

The seizure of Shir Khan Bandar, in the far north of Afghanistan, about 50 kilometres (30 miles) from Kunduz city, is the most significant gain for the Taliban since the US began the final stage of its troop withdrawal in May.

"Unfortunately this morning and after an hour of fighting the Taliban captured Shir Khan port and the town and all the border check posts with Tajikistan," said Kunduz provincial council member Khaliddin Hakmi.

Separately, an army officer told AFP: "We were forced to leave all check posts... and some of our soldiers crossed the border into Tajikistan.

"By the morning, they (Taliban fighters) were everywhere, hundreds of them," he added on condition of anonymity.

Taliban front man Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed the Death Eaters had seized the crossing, across the Pyanj River.

"Our Mujahideen are in full control of Shir Khan Bandar and all the border crossings with Tajikistan in Kunduz," he told AFP.

Amruddin Wali, another provincial council member, said officials "lost contact" with the area on Monday night.

The crossing is marked by a 700-metre US-funded bridge that opened in 2007 with the aim of boosting trade between the central Asian neighbours.

- 'FULL CONTROL' -
It is a sprawling dry port capable of handling up to 1,000 vehicles a day.

"There were 150 trucks loaded with goods in Shir Khan Bandar when it fell and we don't know what's happened to them," said Massoud Wahdat, a front man for the Kunduz provincial chamber of commerce and industries.

"It would be a huge financial loss."

Fierce fighting has raged across Kunduz province over the past few days, with the Taliban and Afghan forces engaged in battles Monday on the outskirts of Kunduz city itself.

The Taliban have taken up positions on highways that connect the city to neighbouring provinces, officials said.

The Taliban have repeatedly attempted to capture the city and held it briefly twice before -- in September 2015, and again a year later. With a significant population of Pashtun, Kunduz had been a stronghold of the Taliban before they seized power in the 1990s. The city's location makes it a key transit point for economic and trade exchanges with Tajikistan.

Since early May, the Taliban have launched major offensives targeting government forces across the rugged countryside, and claim to have seized at least 87 of the country's 421 districts. Many of their claims are disputed by the government, and independent verification is difficult -- especially in areas that frequently change hands.

Afghan government forces, however, said they would soon launch a massive offensive to retake lost territory.

"The central command is in full control and all security forces and the military resources have been mobilized against the enemy," General Ajmal Shinwari, front man for security forces told news hounds.

"You will soon witness our advances across the country."

Iranian-backed groups exploiting children in Syria's Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor countryside
[NPASYRIA] Every morning, Muhammad al-Dakal, a minor from the Syrian government-held city of Madan in the southeast Raqqa countryside, headed to a construction workshop in order to make money to secure a living for his mother and two younger siblings.

Following ten hours of work, he returns to home wearing muddy clothes and gives his daily wage of 2500 Syrian pounds (SYP) to his mother.

Al-Dakal’s case is similar to those of his peers, who are working in construction workshops for low wages in the government-held areas in both the eastern countryside of Raqqa and western countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

Afghanistan
Hundreds of Public Forces Deployed to Guard Mazar-e-Sharif
[ToloNews] Lawmakers from Balkh province in Afghanistan’s parliament and prominent political figures in Balkh on Tuesday said that hundreds of public uprising forces have been deployed in the main areas of Mazar-e-Sharif city to protect the city from a possible attack by the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...

The only way to create a country instead of a conquest is for the locals to stand up on their hind legs to protect it.
They said that the Taliban has been pushed back from the main gates of Mazar-e-Sharif, and they pledged that security will be maintained at any cost.

This comes as the Taliban has already taken control of seven districts centers in Balkh. In recent days, hard boyz were seen intensifying their attacks in the outskirts of the city of Mazar-e-Sharif.

"If there are assurances about the delivery of weapons and other supplies to our people, there are more than 10,000 young people who are ready to defend Balkh and the north," said Abbas Ibrahimzada, the head of Hizb-e-Wahdat-e-Naweein Afghanistan party.

On Monday the centers of Balkh, Chimtal, Kashinda, Sholgara and Dawlatabad districts fell to the Taliban. Later on the Taliban intensified attacks near Mazar-e-Sharif city.

"In Dasht-e-Shor, people loyal to Hizb-e-Wahdat-e-Naween have established three to four checkpoints—also toward Balkh district, Jamaat-e-Islami
...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
and Harakat-e-Islami have pledged to mobilize the people toward the Nasaji area," said Raees Abdul Khaliq, a member of parliament.

The political or group affiliations of those who have shown a willingness to operate under the public uprising forces have not yet been confirmed, but Mohammad Farhad Azimi, the governor of Balkh province, said that hundreds of them are supporters of political parties.

"The enemies of the country tried to infiltrate here to Mazar-e-Sharif, we will fight until the last drop of our blood and will defend our country," said Samiullah, a member of the public uprising force.

The 209 Shaheen Army corps has said that security forces have retaken the center of Balkh from the Taliban. The Taliban has denied this claim.

Officials in Balkh said that Afghan forces will soon launch a clearance operation to retake the territories lost to the Taliban.

Eight years under Hezbollah's rule: al-Qusayr today
[ENGLISH.ENABBALADI.NET] Every time Abu Somer travels from Homs to Damascus while transporting vegetables, he tries to overlook a huge road sign erected 20 kilometers south of Homs, informing drivers taking the international highway (M5) linking Homs and Damascus, that they are approaching the al-Qusayr city’s junction.

Abu Somer described to Enab Baladi the feelings he develops whenever he approaches his city that he fled years ago. He said, "I make my car go faster when I come near the al-Qusayr bridge. My heart aches every time I pass that road."

Abu Somer was forced to leave the city of al-Qusayr eight years ago and could not return because the Lebanese Hezbollah militia established a headquarters in the neighborhood containing his house.

Left aims to defeat another pipeline, but Native American business leaders defend construction
[FoxNews] Matt Gordon, vice president of his family’s construction company in Mahnomen, Minnesota, and a member of the White Earth Nation tribe, was troubled when environmental protesters – some claiming to speak for Native Americans – vandalized his company’s equipment.

Gordon Construction is among the Native-owned companies that are contracting with the Canadian energy firm Enbridge on the construction of Line 3, a pipeline carrying oil from Canada into the United States. But climate activists – emboldened by stopping the Keystone XL Pipeline – have made Line 3 their new target.

Earlier this month, hundreds of activist descended on the construction site and many of them vandalized contractor equipment, broke into construction trailers, damaged environmental safeguards intended to control erosion and attempted to trap workers while occupying the site, according to Enbridge.

Senate Republicans Block Democrats’ Sweeping ‘Voting Rights’ Legislation
[NationalReview] Senate Republicans on Tuesday used their filibuster power to block debate on Democrats’ sweeping federal elections bill, dealing a fatal blow to one of President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem mschine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family......
’s early major agenda items.

The measure failed in a 50-50 vote along party lines. However,
a clean conscience makes a soft pillow...
even without Republicans’ use of the filibuster, the bill would have failed to pass as Democratic Senator Joe Manchin
...Dem senator-for-life from West Virginia. Manchin is one of the approximately one Dem senators who exhibits more integrity than Jello, often even representing his constituents...
of West Virginia voted to advance to debate but said he would vote against the measure unless a number of changes were made.

Ahead of the vote, a number of Democrats acknowledged that the test vote to advance the so-called "For the People Act" was sure to fail in the face of solid Republican opposition. The measure would have needed to garner 60 votes to advance.

Earlier on Tuesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki
...a valley girl who woke up one morning and found she was spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of State under Obama. A new American success story, under Biden she became spokeswoman for the whole administration, and she was even able to get her sister a job...
said, "What we are measuring, I think, is, is the Democratic Party united? We weren’t as of a couple of weeks ago."

She then conceded that the vote would fail.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) said on Tuesday before the vote that the bill was "really an effort for the federal government to take over the way we conduct elections in this country." He called it a "solution in search of a problem."

"Finally today we will put an end to it here in the Senate," he added. "The American people can be relieved that the federal government — at least in this area — is not going to expand and supplant the states, which have been involved in conducting elections throughout the history of our country."
He only does a few things that we want, but those few he does very well.
Instead of attempting to gin up Republican support for the vote, Democrats focused on getting their members on board with a more limited alternative proposal by moderate Democratic Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia which included a list of voting and campaign finance changes.

The proposal put forth by Manchin, who had argued the For the People Act was too partisan, suggested making Election Day a public holiday, offering 15 consecutive days of early voting for federal elections, and allowing automatic voter registration through state departments of motor vehicles.

The moderate Democrat also supports requiring voter identification but allowing alternatives such as utility bills to serve as proof of identity.

However,
a clean conscience makes a soft pillow...
McConnell criticized Manchin’s proposal and Abrams’ endorsement at the time, saying, in reality, it "is no compromise."

"It still subverts the First Amendment to supercharge cancel culture and the left’s name-and-shame campaign model," he said. "It takes redistricting away from state legislatures and hands it over to computers. And it still retains S. 1’s rotten core: an assault on the fundamental idea that states, not the federal government, should decide how to run their own elections."

Without Republican support, Democrats would need to eliminate or alter the filibuster. However,
a clean conscience makes a soft pillow...
it is unlikely Democrats could rally enough support from their members to do so, as moderates including Manchin and Senator Krysten Sinema of Arizona have expressed unwillingness to support such an effort.

#1  Dems will now try to sneak in HR4.
Some Republicans are already opposing the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, H.R. 4, as an alternative to the For the People Act, referred to as H.R. 1 in the House and S.1 in the Senate.

"If you put the federal government in charge of everything, again, they will gut things like voter ID laws, they're going to make it more difficult to maintain accurate voter files, they're going to require ballot harvesting," Republican Sen. Ron Johnson told Just the News.

Conservatives view H.R. 4 as H.R. 1 in disguise.

"I think that we should resist any temptation to have a federal takeover of elections, and whether that's called H.R. 1 or H.R. 4 doesn't particularly matter to me," Jason Snead of the Honest Elections Project told Just the News. "I think that right now, what you see on the progressive left is the treatment of H.R. 4 as the backup plan."

India-Pakistan
Mishandling rape culture
[NATION.PK] Pakistain is considered as the six most dangerous country in the world for women and the statistics of crimes such as rape, domestic violence, sexual harassment, forced marriages give a clear proof of this statement. The fact that our subsequent governments, in a profound delinquency, could not make effective laws for the protection of women and never really focused on devising systematic strategies to bring them into execution, reinforced this notion in the minds of the perpetrators that no matter what they do, laws cannot bound them. This kind of behavior provides more impetus to the sex offenders to commit repeated crimes without any fear of accountability. The history is enough as a reference, that in Pakistain the widespread social evils, especially the act of rape has been trivialized to an extent that one can easily identify the lack of seriousness on the part of the government to tackle the issue. An international non-governmental organization, Human Rights Watch, had issued an extensive report on the performance of the government and the relevant strategies adopted by it while fighting off the rape culture. The report mentions some of the factors contributing to the horrendous crime including the inability of the society in properly defining the act of rape; the even-handed laws and ineptness of the criminal courts; dispassionate police officials and incompetent law enforcement agencies; absence of medicolegal officials for examination, and an undue societal pressure. The cases are found to be under reported and the conviction rate is even lower, under 3% across the country. The low level of conviction rate is clear evidence that the government is not planning to deracinate this evil by taking stringent actions in the right direction. There is some lacking that has been staying here since the eruption of this evil that could not be deciphered by the concerned authorities. The government cannot justify its lack of performance by merely stating that it has successfully issued an ordinance dealing with the rape cases and established special courts to penalize the perpetrators. It should understand that the absence of proper legislation was one out of a myriad of reasons as stated in the report.

The overhauling of the entire system in order to make Pakistain a rape free country has become the need of the hour that can only be possible by creating a sense of urgency among the stakeholders. As per the report published by Human Rights Watch, there is a general bias in the criminal justice system of the country where in the past the occurrence of rape cases had been rejected, taking the matter as something "not serious" and just a product of social and religious norms. Also, the courts have found to be overturning the rape cases on the grounds that the victim has only her "words" as an evidence and not "bodily marks" of violence. Such kind of rulings needs to be considered by the respective officials as a lesson when resolving the rape cases. One single negligence can break the hopes of so many victims that expect justice to be delivered properly.

Another matter of great concern appears to be the behavior and dealings of police officials with the women who consult them for registering the complaints of violence. Most of them see the victims as "real culprits" and regard their critical condition as something being fabricated to escape any trauma they face. Due to the prevalence of patriarchal code of "honor" in our country, police officials condemn women for dragging the "family matter" to cop shoppes and courts and advise them to solve it at home. As a result of this patriarchal norm and stigma attached to it, the police become determined to believe that women need no legal protection against this "offence" that they do not even regard as "offence" simply because the legal agencies and the society are not ready to accept it. The societal misunderstanding about the issue and the general unacceptance by the legal authorities have complicated the process of conviction, making it easy for the perpetrators to escape any legal action. The role of civil society activists in raising the awareness about this serious crime among the general public has become extremely crucial now. People need to know what really rape is, its causes and the steps needed to purge society off this crime.

Euro 2020 host Paola Ferrari in underwear controversy after 'Basic Instinct' moment
[NYPOST] Italian TV presenter Paola Ferrari went viral after many thought she’d accidentally flashed the whole of Italia.

The face of Italian Euro 2020 coverage has been compared to Sharon Stone in "Basic Instinct" after an X-rated leg-crossing incident — but she denies that she wasn’t wearing underwear, unlike Stone in the blockbuster movie.

Rai presenter Ferrari was dressed in a long black gown with her legs crossed on the show.

At one point, she switched legs, and some viewers suggested the 60-year-old had gone commando.

But the experienced journalist has quashed the rumors, explaining she "prefers health and hygiene."

"It has gone viral, they are using more VAR (for this incident) than on the field at the European Championships," Ferrari said. "It happened but it’s nothing serious."

Sexual Exploitation Racket Exposed At Mozambique Women's Prison
[All Africa] Wardens at Mozambique's largest women's prison are forcing inmates to perform sexual acts and punishing those who refuse, according to a local anti-corruption organization. In a report published on June 15, 2021 by the Centre for Public Integrity, guards at the Ndlavela Women's Prison in Maputo are forcing inmates to perform sex acts with clients for between U.S.$50 and U.S.$250 cash, which the wardens pocketed.

The women are transported from the prison 'three or four times a week' and taken to guesthouses. Those who complied were offered special treatment in jail, but those who did not were "tortured," the CIP said.

Following the report's publication, Justice Minister Helena Kida has visited the prison and ordered an urgent government inquiry, the findings of which are expected in two weeks.

Pennsylvania House approves election reform bill as veto threat looms
[Just the News] Gov. Tom Wolf is threatening to veto the measure once it reaches his desk.

An election reform bill cleared the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on Tuesday as Gov. Tom Wolf reaffirmed his plans to veto the measure once it reaches his desk.

"I want election reform, too," he tweeted, confirming that he will reject the proposal in its current form. "But House Bill 1300 isn’t it."

The lower chamber approved HB 1300 after Democrats’ said its enhanced I.D. requirements would suppress voters and "make it easier for Republicans to cheat."

"As if the bloody attempted coup on Jan. 6 was not enough, now the losers of the 2020 election want to legislate voter suppression," said State Government Committee Minority Chairwoman Margo Davidson, D-Upper Darby. "Let's get real. This bill is going to be vetoed, and it should be rightfully vetoed because it makes it harder for people to vote and easier to cheat."
She (I presume) was looking in the mirror when saying that.
Rep. Seth Grove, R-York, sponsored HB 1300 earlier this month after he chaired 10 hearings in the State Government Committee that investigated election administration issues. He said he tried, multiple times, to engage the administration on the bill’s components, but no one ever returned his calls.

Jason Gottesman, a spokesman for the House Republican Caucus, reiterated the nonexistent negotiations, saying Tuesday that Wolf "was offered at least three good faith attempts to engage in substantive discussions on this bill to find compromise."

Europe
France: Muslim Migrants Far More Impacted by Deadly Cases of Coronavirus
[Breitbart] Immigrants colonists from Moslem backgrounds have been far more affected by deadly cases of the Wuhan coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
than French natives, according to La Belle France’s National Institute for Demographic Studies.

While exact numbers on deaths by ethnicity and religion are not available in La Belle France as the law forbids the collection of such data, the National Institute for Demographic Studies (INED), along with the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), claim that various factors point to Moslem immigrants colonists being far more affected by deadly cases of the virus, according to newspaper Ouest La Belle France.

A study released by the INSEE in April measured the number of coronavirus deaths by country of origin and found that there were far more fatal cases of the virus among immigrants colonists, as opposed to native-born French,

Michel Guillot, a researcher at INED, noted that excess mortality from the virus among those from North Africa was 2.6 times higher than native French, and for sub-Saharan immigrants colonists, it was 4.5 times higher.

"We can deduce that, indeed, immigrants colonists of the Moslem faith have been much more affected by the Covid pandemic," Guillot said.

M’Hammed Henniche, president of the Union of Moslem Associations of 93 (UAM93) in the heavily migrant-populated Gay Paree no-go suburbs of Seine-Saint-Denis, said he received hundreds of calls from Moslems looking for help after their loved ones had died since the start of the pandemic.

Mr Henniche also noted that many members of his community worked in jobs that did not permit them to work from home, increasing their risk of catching the virus.

Moslem cemeteries had also filled at a rapid pace in parts of La Belle France, with some areas unable to keep up with the demand for burial plots, largely due to the fact that before the pandemic, 80 per cent of Moslems were buried outside the country and travel restrictions have prevented sending bodies overseas for burial.

Since the start of the pandemic, some countries have noted larger numbers of coronavirus cases among immigrant communities. In Sweden, a December report noted that nearly half of the people in intensive care units due to the virus were immigrants colonists.

In April of last year, Swedish media noted that the heavily migrant populated no-go Stockholm suburbs were the most affected by the virus, with the Somali community, in particular, seeing large numbers of cases.

Afghanistan
ANDSF Recaptures Three Districts in North as War Intensifies
[ToloNews] The Afghan government on Tuesday said that the Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANDSF) recaptured three strategic districts from the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
: Balkh district in Balkh, Dushi district in Baghlan and Ali Abad district in Kunduz.

However,
a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth...
local sources said that over the past 24 hours the Taliban has captured several districts from the ANDSF in the country.

The districts which fell to the Taliban are Gul Tapa, Ali Abad and Chahardara districts in Kunduz, Baghlan-e-Markazi and Nahrain districts in Baghlan, Khamab and Qarqin districts in Jawzjan, Jaghato in Maidan Wardak, Lajmangal and Ahmadkhel in Paktia, Shajoy in Zabul, Maiwand in Kandahar and Choora in Uruzgan.

In the northern part of the country, fighting continues in these quiet provincial capitals: Kunduz city in Kunduz, Maimana in Faryab, Taluqan in Takhar, Pul-e-Khumri in Baghlan and Sar-e-Pul
...a city and eponymous province in northern Afghanistan, population about 500,000. Demographically it is majority Tadjik and Uzbek. There are small Pashtun, Arab, and Hazara communities, of which the Hazaras mostly don't bother anyone...
city in Sar-e-Pul.

Local sources said that the war has now reached the outskirts of Kunduz city. They said that the security forces have also withdrawn from the Sher Khan Bandar port area, which borders Tajikistan.

With the fall of 13 district centers in the past 24 hours, the total number of centers taken by the Taliban in the past two months is 70.
"Currently the war is raging in Sher Khan Bandar, we do have sufficient weaponry in Kunduz," said Baseera Rasouli, an MP from Kunduz.

"Kunduz is under attack from three or four directions, the situation is distressing, the shops are locked," said Imamuddin, a resident in Kunduz.

The fighting in Kunduz is displacing people.

"We have been destroyed, there is no way to go to Kabul or other areas," said Ainuddin, a resident of Kunduz city.

"Special operation units have changed and are in control of the situation, we are now at the frontline," said Mohammad Ali Yazadani, the commander of Special Operation Corps.

According to reports, fighting is also underway between the ANDSF and the Taliban in suburbs of Pul-e-Khumri city.

"Pul-e-Khumri city will not fall, at any cost. The people should carry on their business and duties with a peaceful mind," said Safiullah Mazlom, the head of the Baghlan security department.

Fighting was also reported in the city of Maimana in Faryab and Taluqan in Takhar.

"If the central government does not concentrate, we will witness a human tragedy and human catastrophe," said Lotfullah, a resident in Takhar province.

"Faryab is on the verge of collapse, the people of Faryab are very concerned," said Darwish, a resident in Faryab.

"If the central government does not take action, we will lose Samkanai, Janikhel and all of Paktia," said Taj Mohammad Mangal, a member of Paktia's provincial council.

"All problems will be resolved very soon," said Ajmal Omar Shinwari, a front man for the ANDSF.

With the fall of 13 district centers in the past 24 hours, the total number of centers taken by the Taliban in the past two months is 70.
...out of a total of 421.
Khaama Press adds:
Dushi is a key and strategic territory within Baghlan province that connects nine provinces in the north and north-east with the capital and central provinces of Afghanistan.

Indonesia says no to establishing diplomatic ties with Israel
Hokay. Your loss, Bub.
[NATION.PK] Indonesia said it has not yet considered establishing diplomatic relations with the new Israeli government, according to an official in Jakarta on Monday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to Israeli Ambassador to Singapore Sagi Karni's statement that Tel Aviv is willing to work with Southeast Asia's Moslem majority nations to establish ties.

"(Peace is) Indonesia's main focus at this time, and we hope for the revival of the grinding of the peace processor," said Abdul Kadir Jailani, the ministry's Director General of Asia Pacific and Africa.

Karni’s statement, which claimed that the true nature of the conflict is between Israel and Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, and not the Paleostinian people, is an attempt to distort the facts, he commented.

Jailani stressed that the root of the Israeli-Paleostinian problem is the occupation and expropriation of Paleostinian rights and land.

"This is very clear. These facts have been well established since decades ago," he said. "As the root of the problem is colonialism, Indonesia believes that the only way (to resolve it) is to respect the rights of the Paleostinian people according to international parameters."

'Compromising' fetish pics led Colorado dad to kill teen son, prosecutors claim
[NYPOST] An enraged Colorado father killed his 13-year-old son after the boy found "compromising" photos of him eating feces from a diaper

The murder trial of Mark Redwine, 59, began Monday with opening statements by prosecutors who claim he flew into a rage when his teenage son, Dylan, may have mentioned or shown him the sordid photos the night he was killed in November 2012, the Denver Post reported.

"A damaged relationship, exposed with compromising photographs, photographs in the hands of a 13-year-old who is disgusted by it, which triggered a violent mostly peaceful rage in the defendant," prosecutor Fred Johnson said.

Spending a little oil money to hire a PMC to deal with the miscreants buys some time to build an army and it deals with the current crop of bad guys. You'd want a well-equipped PMC though, capable of heliborne assault. A gunship or two, or some artillery would come in handy. As an extra bonus, since you are paying them, they aren't likely to overthrow your ass.

In response, attendees recited the pledge during the public comment period, FoxNews.com reported, causing the mayor to declare them out of order.

"To tell members of the public they are not allowed to say the Pledge of Allegiance during public comment and threaten to have them removed that it was one strike in you’re out policy violates every single one of their first amendment rights," trustee Molly Barela said in a statement to Fox 31.

Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert also supported those who recited the Pledge of Allegiance and called out the mayor over what she called "an anti-American disgrace" on Twitter. "Mayor Fuhrman should resign and purchase a one-way ticket to China where he won’t have worry about hearing the pledge!"

Texas Border Crossers in for Nasty Surprise from Nebraska
[TRENDINGPOLITICS] Nebraska Republican Gov. Pete Ricketts has had enough of illegal immigrants flooding into his state and he’s about to take major action.

Ricketts plans to send over two dozen Nebraska State Patrol Officers to Del Rio, Texas, to assist officers with the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.

“Nebraska is stepping up to help Texas respond to the ongoing crisis on their border with Mexico,” Ricketts said in a statement.

“The disastrous policies of the Biden-Harris administration created an immigration crisis on the border. While the federal government has fallen short in its response, Nebraska is happy to step up to provide assistance to Texas as they work to protect their communities and keep people safe,” he added.

Israel’s Agriculture Ministry begins placing mobile bomb shelters in agricultural areas near Gaza
In Israel security is a team effort.
[IsraelTimes] The Agriculture Ministry says it has begun placing mobile bomb shelters in agricultural areas near the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip, following last month’s fighting between Israel and the coastal enclave’s Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, rulers.

The ministry says it has purchased over 100 mobile shelters as part of the rollout and says they will be placed in agricultural areas where there is a higher concentration of workers such as barns, greenhouses and packing centers.

In a statement, Agriculture Minister Oded Forer says the shelters "will make it possible to safeguard settlement in the Gaza periphery communities that maintain the state’s borders and allow them to continue their daily work."

During the 11 days of fighting in May, two Thai workers were killed when a projectile struck the packing house where they were working in a community near Gaza.

California 'assault weapons' ban repeal blocked by 9th Circuit
[FoxNews] The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily blocked a federal district court ruling that would have repealed California's assault weapons ban.

In a Monday panel decision in Miller v. Bonta, the appellate court put the June 4 order from District Court Judge Roger Benitez old hold as the court awaits the outcome of another case. Benitez had ruled that the ban violated the Second Amendment.

"The district court’s June 4, 2021 order and judgment are stayed pending resolution of Rupp v. Bonta," the court said. "The stay shall remain in effect until further order of this court."

The Rupp case, which also deals with the assault weapons ban and has already been briefed before the Ninth Circuit, had also been put on hold as the court handles other Second Amendment cases that could effect it.

Benitez's district court order had ruled the assault weapons ban to be unconstitutional, stating that people had a right to possess modern weapons. Benitez likened the AR-15 rifle to a Swiss Army Knife as being "a perfect combination of home defense weapon and homeland defense equipment," in contrast to militaristic, "extraordinary" weapons like bazookas and machineguns.

"Under no level of heightened scrutiny can the law survive," Benitez said.

While the court awaits a decision in the Rupp case, briefing in the Miller case is put on hold, although the Ninth Circuit did grant a request by the State of Arizona to file an amicus brief opposing California's motion to stay Benitez's ruling for the entire duration of the Miller appeal.

For now, the 9th Circuit is telling the parties to stand by and file a status report 14 days after the court issues a ruling in the Rupp case.

India-Pakistan
A broken democratic system
[NATION.PK] The inexcusable conduct of (most of) our parliamentarians in the national assembly, earlier this week, followed by ’compulsive intervention’ from powers that be—resulting in orderly speeches thereafter—has lay bare the rotten core of legislative enterprise. It has demonstrated, beyond all reasonable doubt, that the people elected to the corridors of our political power represent the worst of our society. Their language and mannerism (in public eye!) exudes a crassness that is scarcely found even within the lowest ebbs of our culture. This includes people like Ali Nawaz Khan, who speak in a manner that would repulse any listener. Or the likes of Rohail Asghar, who think that Bulley Shah’s language and culture includes cuss words. These people do not represent who we are as a nation. And yet, term after term, our democratic ’system’ continues to elect such abominable creatures to corridors of public power. Let me rephrase that: we, the people, continue to elect such individuals to corridors of public power.

In the circumstances, it is pertinent to ask why the likes of Rohal Ashgar, Ali Nawaz, and other chips of the same block are elected as politicians. Why does our ’system’ not weed them out? Despite having a sprawling legislative framework (of Article 62, Article 63 and the Election Act, 2017), why are such individuals qualified to contest and win political office? Does the fault rest in our stars? Or, instead, does it rest with a ’system’ that is inherently broken?

In light of these developments, much has been said about the constitutional and legal construct of our (democratic) electoral ’system’. The ability of our constitutional fabric to deliver on its democratic promise has been questioned. At the core of this debate is one elemental question: is our democratic ’system’ working, or do we need to rethink the fundamentals of our constitutional democracy?

Africa Horn
SNA commandos capture Al-Shabaab bases in Somalia
[Garowe] At least 14 al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
bases were captured by the Somali National Army [SNA] commandos commonly called Danab Special Forces,
...there are about 1,500 soldiers in the Danab battalions, trained by US Africa Command in Djibouti...
state media reported, in the ongoing crackdown against the turbans who control large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.

For the past seven months, the Somali National Army has been carrying out operations against al-Shabaab in various parts of the country, at times working under the command of Chief of Defense Forces Gen Odowaa Yusuf Rage, who is a renowned infantryman in the army.

By last week, the turbans suffered huge losses, with over 300 members dying in Middle and Lower Shabelle regions, where they have been running local administrations. Hundred of others have also been arrested and are due to appear in the military courts.

And in yet another major victory, the turbans lost at least 14 bases to the at on Monday, with the army destroying them during an operation. Several weapons and Improvised Explosive Devices [IEDs] were recovered, state media added.

"Somali National Army’s commandos [DANAB] destroyed secret bases belonging to al-Shabaab murderous Moslems in a planned security operation in Middle Sh. region on Monday afternoon, SNA commanders reported," state media said. "14 Shabaab hideouts in the region have been destroyed in the past 3 weeks."

A number of al-Shabaab strongholds have been retaken by the military, which is now building a strong local administration ahead of African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Mission Forces' exit from the country. The African troops will leave by the end of 2021 upon full implementation of the Somali Transition Plan [STP].

But despite the gains, al-Shabaab managed to retake Marin Gubay in the Bay region of Southwest, following the unprecedented withdrawal of the Ugandan People's Defense Forces [UPDF] who have been guarding the town just in the outskirts of the ancient town of Barawe.

Lower Shabelle governor Abdulkadir Mohamad Nur Sidi told VOA that Somali government forces should have replaced AMISOM, which did not happen. It's not clear why the SNA troops failed to report to the bases in time as scheduled earlier before the UPDF exit.

However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
the governor is confident that the operations by the military have yielded fruits in the region, adding that the terror group has been significantly weakened. According to him, the Somali army is ready to take security responsibilities in the country.

"The Governor of Lower Shabelle, Abdikadir Sidi, says that Somali National Army joint operations with AMISOM had weakened the murderous Moslems in the region, making it necessary for Somali Security Forces to take over security responsibilities," state media added.

SDF arrests 17 ISIS members in Syria's Deir ez-Zor
[NPASYRIA] On Tuesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested 17 members of ISIS sleeper cells, with Global Coalition air support, in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

The SDF said on its official website that it confiscated weapons and ammunitions that 17 members of ISIS cells had in al-Basira town, 30 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor.

The festivities lasted for an hour after raids carried out by the Global Coalition’s helicopters to combat ISIS, a military source from al-Basira told North Press.

A civilian was maimed in Hiwayja Fhiman in the countryside of al-Basira on the banks of the Euphrates, when he was standing in front of his house and ISIS button men opened fire indiscriminately after finding out where three of their members are hiding, the source added.

The maimed was transferred to al-Fayha’ Hospital in the town for treatment.

The source added that the SDF deployed scattered checkpoints in al-Basira and Abriha and imposed a curfew on the towns until a further notice.

On Monday, ISIS claimed the liquidation of a civilian on charges of dealing with the SDF near the oil tankers in the town of Thiban in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zor.

For months, eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor has been witnessing intensive kidnappings and liquidations of the SDF, employees of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), notables, Sheikhs and civilians.

On June16, the SDF arrested three ISIS members in the town of al-Shuhail in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor

Government Corruption
What happened when Trump tried to stop U.S. funding for the Communist Chinese Wuhan Lab
[Sharyl Attkisson via Rantingly] Listen to top scientists and editors from esteemed medical journals and you can’t help but conclude there is such a thing as a "scientific establishment." And it’s been as corrupted by politics and misinformation as many in politics and the media.

This phenomenon was never more important than during the Covid-19 pandemic when so many voices are shouting "Follow the science!" and when perfectly valid opinions and scientific findings are being censored, silenced and controversialized by Big Tech and some in the media.

All of this helps explain what happened last year when President Trump took what seemed to many to be the perfectly reasonable step of ordering a halt to U.S. taxpayer funding of the Communist Chinese research lab in Wuhan that could have been the source of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In April 2020, the Chinese had refused to provide samples, allow an inspection of the Wuhan lab, or otherwise cooperate on steps necessary to help figure out the pandemic and its origins. When Trump got word that the U.S. was sending taxpayer money to the lab and its scientists, he ordered it stopped. Funds were blocked to the nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance that was responsible for dispensing some U.S. taxpayer money to the Wuhan lab.

What happened when the funding stopped?

The scientific establishment kicked into action.

Scientists told the press— which dutifully reported it— that the funding cuts were political in nature. Uncalled for. Going to cost lives.

The backlash was so strong that most people probably don’t know this, but not long after the funding was cancelled, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) reinstated the grant to EcoHealth Alliance.

At least there were some conditions this time. Under orders from Trump, the China bat coronavirus part of the grant was suspended pending the Wuhan Institute of Virology granting a request for an outside inspection.

NIH also made the project contingent upon getting responses from the Chinese to outstanding inquiries regarding the lab's practices and the Covid-19 outbreak. NIH also wanted EcoHealth Alliance to obtain a virus sample from the Wuhan lab.

EcoHealth Alliance and its leader Peter Daszak criticized the commonsense conditions saying they made their crucial research "impossible." The press covered the story in lockstep, in a one-sided on-narrative fashion. Here’s what NPR said: "The U.S. government has suddenly terminated funding for a years-long research project in China that many experts say is vital to preventing the next major coronavirus outbreak."

As for the theory that Covid-19 could have originated at the Wuhan lab, the same NPR story dismissively wrote: "As noted in an NPR story published last week, many scientists have discounted that theory as nearly impossible."

But as I’ve reported, many scientists did not discount the theory as "nearly impossible." Numerous scientists directly involved in the genetic analysis, and in related projects, had already concluded the Chinese lab was the most likely culprit, and genetic analysis by U.S. government scientists had already revealed hallmarks of man's intervention within the virus. You just didn’t hear about it much on the news or online because the discussion wasn’t allowed.

Of course, the "experts" the media were citing were often the very conflicted scientists involved in controversial research with the Chinese to begin with. This was not disclosed in most of the news reports.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Emergency crew rescues sex doll after mistaking it for drowning woman
[NYPOST] They issued an SOS = save our sex doll. A team of emergency rescue divers was flummoxed after responding to the scene of a nude "drowning woman" — only to discover that it was actually a floating life-sized sex doll.

The uproarious gaffe was chronicled on Twitter by YouTuber Natsuki Tanaka, who had initially believed she was witnessing a real-life rescue in the city of Hachinohe off of Japan’s Northeast Coast, Kotaku reported.

"While filming a fishing video, I thought a dead body floating in the water had washed up, but it was a blow-up doll," Tanaka wrote about the strange scene, which occurred last week.

The influencer — yes, she has more than 272,000 subscribers on YouTube — added that someone else had mistakenly phoned the authorities over the "drowning" woman, prompting a "Blues Brothers"-esque army of emergency services to arrive, ready to rescue what they thought was a person in peril.

Indeed, accompanying photos show multiple fire and rescue brigades, police, and an ambulance working to dredge the dummy from the water in front of a crowd of onlookers.

Thankfully the adult toy was "rescued safely," according to Tanaka.

Pelosi: Very pleased to talk with Israeli Foreign Minister @YairLapid to congratulate him on new position and new government, Lapid’s goal improving relations with Dems
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Lapid says a key goal as FM is revamping Israel’s ties with Democratic Party
It’s his job to try, and he’ll get points just for not being in Bibi Netanyahu’s government, but he’s up against the fact that it’s the Jew-hater wing of the Democratic Party that’s growing.
[IsraelTimes] Foreign Minister Yair Lapid says "reinvigorating Israel’s relationship with Democrats is one of his central objectives" in his new position, according to a readout from a call he held with the Democratic Majority for Israel.

Lapid "emphasized his enthusiasm for working closely with the Biden administration and conveyed his deep appreciation for the warm reception the new Israeli government received from the administration, as well as for its unwavering commitment to Israel’s security," the DMFI readout reads.

The new foreign minister also "indicated that Israel will continue to find ways to benefit all the people of the region and narrow the conflict with the Paleostinians."

DMFI is an organization that seeks to strengthen support for Israel in the Democratic Party
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
. It is led by Mark Mellman, who has served as Lapid’s senior strategist since the Yesh Atid chairman entered politics.

Pompeo Calls for ‘Pipehitters': Time for ‘People Who Care About America Deeply' to ‘Be Engaged'
[Breitbart] Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Breitbart News he is calling for “pipehitters” to get engaged all across America in the battle for the soul of the country.
Big Pulp Fiction fan
“A pipehitter — it’s really straightforward,” Pompeo said when asked to define the term, which comes from military jargon. “A pipehitter — there’s lots of pipehitters out there. These are just people who work hard, who tell the truth, who keep their faith, who are fearless, who aren’t going to be canceled, who are going to take a little bit of time on a Tuesday night to go to a city council meeting or on a Wednesday night to go to their church’s chili cook off. These are people who care about America deeply. They’re willing to suffer some costs to defend the things we all care about. Frankly, pipehitters get stuff done. It came from a phrase — a guy who worked for me at CIA, I asked him about a young lady and said ‘how is she? Is she good for this new position.’ He said, ‘sir, she’s a pipehitter. She’s a pipehitter. She gets stuff done. She is determined. She is focused and she knows what the mission is and she’s going to stop until she’s got it completed.’”

Pompeo’s interview on Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM 125 the Patriot Channel comes after he this week launched Champion American Values (CAV) PAC, designed to help GOP candidates win elections everywhere from U.S. Senate and House races to governor’s races all the way down to local elections. Pompeo just came in fourth — behind Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former President Donald Trump, and Sen Ted Cruz (R-TX) in that order — in the Western Conservative Summit straw poll of approval ratings among potential GOP presidential candidates in 2024.

Terror Networks
IS increases terrorist operations in MENA in May
[AlAhram] In its most recent edition, the Terror Index of the National Centre for Studies argued that the fight against krazed killer groups, especially IS, is far from over.

During the month of May, "the operational activity of terrorist groups and organizations active in the region has sharply increased", according to the monthly report on the state of terror in the Middle East and North Africa that is put out by the National Center for Studies (NCS).

This is the third month that the NCS reported an increase in terror activities in the region. In May, the NCS reported 208 attacks by terror groups, compared to 198 attacks during the month of April, 182 attacks during March, and 83 attacks in February.

According to the report, over 80 percent of the May attacks hit countries that suffer from "political instability", with Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia featuring the highest percentage of attacks.
According to the report, over 80 percent of the May attacks hit countries that suffer from "political instability", with Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia featuring the highest percentage of attacks.

The increase in the rate of attacks comes against the backdrop of the US’ withdrawal of its troops from the region and the parallel wish of terror groups to push back against the pressure of Western-supported anti-terror operations.

Moreover, the report noted that the continued state of political tensions in the region, including the tension between Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and Israel, have also contributed to the agitation of krazed killer activities.

This said, the NCS report noted that governments of the region have invested a lot more time and effort in upgrading their anti-terror combat tactics. This, the report added, has certainly helped with launching pre-emptive attacks on krazed killer groups.

Still, the report noted that terror groups, especially IS, are trying to make a comeback after having been defeated in a few spots around the region.

Turkey will take the lead in securing Kabul Airport: Report
Is Turkey planning to be the last man standing in Afghanistan? An act supporting a future brotherly Islamo-fascist regime once the Taliban retake the place? How does this relate to the formation of Great Turan, Turkey’s plan for a Turkic-speaking emoire?

decided to work together to assure the Ottoman Turkish mission is established, by the US president’s September 11th deadline to withdraw all US troops from Afghanistan, during their first bilateral meeting on Monday.

Ankara expressed that in order to take the leading role, other allied countries were asked to help financially, logistically, also with troops. Erdogan told news hounds on Monday at the conclusion of a series of meetings with NATO leaders that Turkey is seeking Pakistain’s and Hungary’s participation in the new mission in Afghanistan once the US-led NATO force leaves.

According to sources, Hungary indicated interest in participating in the mission during a meeting between Erdogan and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on the sidelines of the NATO summit earlier this month.

Although no official deal has been signed between Ankara and NATO over undertaking this responsibility, Erdogan’s and US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s statements, however, suggested that the two countries were close to reaching an agreement. Therefore, on Wednesday or Thursday, a US delegation will visit Ankara.

Seven Russian Warships Are Doing Something Weird Near Hawaii
[PopularMechanics] A large Russian Navy task force, including the flagship of Moscow’s Pacific Fleet, is cruising pretty far from home: just south of Hawaii. The U.S. government, meanwhile, appears to be preparing for a major missile defense test. It sure seems like the two incidents are related

The Russian fleet consists of the guided missile cruiser Varyag the frigates Marshal Shaposhnikov and Admiral Panteleyev, and the Steregushchy-class frigates Sovershenny, Gromkiy, and Aldar Tsydenzhapov.

The tip-off to the Russian task force’s presence is the Marshal Krylov, an unarmed missile range instrumentation ship. The 692-foot-long ship is designed to sit downrange of a long-range missile test and observe with its Ship Globe (NATO nickname) missile-tracking radar. The Krylov also boasts balloon and surface/air search radars, the Tayfun-2 satellite communications system, and the Shtorm communications suite.

As of press time, the Russian ships’ last publicly known location, 35 nautical miles south of Honolulu, is 4,100 miles from their home port of Vladivostok. The Russian fleet rarely sorties this far east in strength; in fact, Varyag last traveled this far when it visited San Francisco in 2010.

This visit hasn’t gone unnoticed. As the satellite images below purport, there are three Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers escorting the Russian flotilla, as well as a Sentinel-class Coast Guard cutter

We also know now the Russians were responsible for the two times in the last week the Pentagon’s Pacific Air Forces command scrambled a pair of F-22 Raptors from Hawaii. In both cases, the scrambles were in response to Russian Tu-95MS "Bear" long-range bombers flying to the vicinity of—but not actually toward—Hawaii. The bombers were likely flying from Ukrainka Air Base in eastern Siberia.

What’s prompting the Russian fleet’s visit? Marco Langbroek, a highly respected Dutch space watcher, has pieced together geographic information from international governments’ Navigation Warnings, which tell mariners to avoid certain areas—defined by latitude/longitude coordinates—for a set period of time.

The information Langbroek has assembled suggests the U.S. government is conducting a missile defense test involving a simulated ballistic missile launched from the Pacific Spaceport Complex on Kodiak Island in the Gulf of Alaska. This test will also coincide with a launch, likely of an interceptor missile, from Kwajalein Atoll in the Pacific. The intercept, if successful, would take place northwest of Hawaii.

A number of U.S. missile test and support ships are operating in the central Pacific. M/V Pacific Collector and M/V Pacific Tracker are two ships designed to observe missile defense tests at high altitude, collecting data to support further research.

The identity of the Sovereign is unknown. Another ship in the line above, the USNS Worthy, is a missile range instrumentation ship based at Kwajalein Atoll. The southernmost ship, the Coast Guard Cutter Frederick Hatch, is a Guam-based, 154-foot-long fast response cutter and one of the newest in the Coast Guard.

Here’s Pacific Tracker, whose location unknown, but is likely near its home port of Portland, Oregon. Note the large domes designed to protect radar from the elements

The Russian task force is unusually large, and is probably meant to send a message to the relatively new Biden Administration. That message? As much as the rapid buildup of the Chinese Navy and China’s aggressive foreign policy generates worries, the Russians want to remind everyone they’re also a major naval power in the Pacific.

As for the test, we’ll likely know within the next 48 hours what exactly happened—and whether or not it was successful.

#6  It appears the test should be postponed until the Russian spy ships retreat back to their base.
Maybe it will be necessary for unexplained work place incidences (like the ones happening to Iran) to occur to their ships to get them to turn back home.
It appears future tests must occur without safety warnings to reduce spying opportunities.
This is why the US warned Turkey against deploying and operating S400 air defense system near Syria and Iraq.
The Russians and the Chinese should be kept from opportunities to practice and to improve their systems by tracking and observing our systems.

In 1815 Kaumualii, King of the northern Hawaiian Islands of Kauai and Niihau, asked Russia to give his kingdom protectorate status and aid it in the fight against Kamehameha I, the king of the other islands of the Hawaiian archipelago.
Kaumualii promised Russia land for a trading post and settlement. The Russians built three military forts and began exploration of the valley of Hanalei in Kauai.
However, in 1817, under pressure from the Americans, Russian settlers were expelled from the islands. Fort Elizabeth, whose ruins were declared a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1966, is a reminder of the Russian presence in Hawaii.

So, since Joe has been revisiting "old, bad U.S. history", he thought it over and decided to tell Putin, in his "secret letter @ G7"....

'Nasty what we did to Russia back then, treated Slavs like Slaves, we need to square things up,
You drop your Naval Fleet by the Hawaiian Islands after the summit, and we we "pass the place back over to you"... reperations for 'swindling you out of Alaska.'

We are just so happy we can help Joe out. More surprises on the way

Afghanistan
Travel on Afghan Highways Increasingly Dangerous
[ToloNews] Amid fighting around the country, passengers in northern and southern provinces are worried about the growing security threats on most of the major highways.

A number of travelers in the north of the country said that the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
has set up checkpoints in several areas along the Baghlan-Kunduz Highway.

"The state opponents have captured all highways; now, they have reached up to Dushi in Baghlan province, therefore most of the drivers are faced with problems," said Wahidullah, a driver on Baghlan-Kundoz Highway.

Zabihullah, a passenger in the north, said: "There are four Taliban checkpoints, from Panjshanba Bazaar to Khenjan, they have parked big trucks in the street and they stop every car that comes."

The four major highways of the country, including Kabul-Kandahar, Kabul-North, Kabul-Gardiz, and Kabul-Jalalabad are insecure these days, as the Taliban has escalated their attacks on districts and cities across the country.

Among the four major highways in the country, Kabul-Jalalabad Highway is still partly safe in comparison to others, say drivers.

Najibullah, who drives on the Kabul-Kandahar Highway, said: "Passing from Arghandeh, there are Taliban up to Kandahar, they stop everyone and do a body search."

Samiullah, a traveler on the Kabul-Kandahar Highway, said: "None of the roads are safe and in a good condition, all bridges are destroyed, the Taliban stop people everywhere they find them and do a body search of them."

Passengers and drivers say that sometimes government vehicles are being targeted and attacked by the Taliban fighters while they are traveling on these highways.

"We were stranded in the highway up to 10 PM, then the Taliban released us," said Nazir, a driver on the Kabul-North Highway.

"The situation is not good, the Taliban harass passengers," said Mansour, a passenger on the Kabul-North Highway.

Meanwhile,
...back at the cheese factory, there was only one thought in the mouse's mind: I can do this! I can do this! Then the trap sprung...
several passengers on the Kabul-Kandahar Highway said that sometimes festivities between the Taliban and security forces leave people and drivers stranded for hours.

In addition to the presence of the Taliban, the extortion by government forces is another problem that highway drivers complain about.

Spiro Mounds: North America's lost civilisation
An now for something happily different:
[BBC] A treasure lost to time: Looters destroyed America's largest collection of Native American relics. Now, many have been reunited in a new museum exhibit.

The story of the long-forgotten Spiro settlement seems particularly timely. It tells of a people desperately trying to adapt to a changing climate that would ultimately destroy their society. And at a moment when interest in Indigenous communities is growing, it's a chance to marvel at the craftsmanship and sophistication of a forgotten nation whose trade routes snaked thousands of miles across the continent. Spiro's treasures include engraved conch shells from the Florida Keys, copper breastplates from the Great Lakes and beads from the Gulf of California.

Spiro was home to a ceremonial centre for a loosely aligned confederation of mound-building nations called the Mississippian Culture. Together it included about 3 million people from more than 60 tribes, speaking 30 different languages.

The other principal cities were in Etowah, Georgia; Moundville, Alabama; and Cahokia, Illinois, near St. Louis, which was the biggest. These settlements rose to prominence beginning in the 800s during a period of favourable weather patterns that allowed them to create stable, agriculture-based societies, said Dennis Peterson, an archaeologist and manager of the Spiro site. Traditionally, women tended crops like corn, beans, squash and sunflowers, while men hunted small game. Spiro, located on the Arkansas River, sat at a natural passage between the east and west, and grew as a trade centre.

But around 1250, the rains became less predictable during a period known as the Little Ice Age. The cities began to crumble. To save itself, Spiro's priests made a desperate attempt to "restart the universe".

Archaeologists say the leaders rebuilt an existing royal burial mound, filling the hollow chamber with the most powerful ritual objects they had including rare minerals, feathered capes, axes and other weapons. The hope was that the ceremonial burying of sacred property would return the city to its previous state, bringing back the steady rains and long growing seasons that had let Spiro flourish.

But the drought cycle continued, and by 1450, the mound city was abandoned. The residents drifted off, their descendants joining today's Caddo Nation and the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes, whose territories once included parts of the US states of Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

Were these mounds named after

Spiro T Agnew

Because this is where her buried
the political bodies after
being Governor of Maryland ?

(Agnew won national recognition for speeches in which he denounced Vietnam War protesters and other opponents of the Nixon administration with colourful epithets such as “nattering nabobs of negativism” and “hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history.” Agnew was despised by most Democrats and sometimes drew censure even from Republicans, as he did for accusing Vice President Hubert Humphrey, the Democratic Party candidate for president in 1968, of being “soft on communism.”)

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Gunmen affiliated with an Iranian faction killed a fisherman east of Syria’s Deir ez-Zor after he was accused of smuggling
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

On Tuesday, button men affiliated with an Iranian faction killed a fisherman in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor after he was accused of smuggling between the areas held by the Autonomous Administration and the Damascus government.

A source in the pro-Iranian ninth regiment in the town of Aldwair, 80 km east of Deir ez-Zor, said that the 36-year-old Muhannad al-Ali, lost his life by the bullets of the regiment members stationed near the Euphrates.

He told North Press that the regiment’s button men tried to frighten the fisherman because they suspected him of smuggling.

However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
a relative of the murdered young man said that there is no truth to these accusations, and that "he was a fisherman and nothing more."

The pro-Iranian groups have controlled the areas of the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, west of the Euphrates, since ISIS was defeated there in late 2018.

On June 10, a member of the pro-Iranian Hashimioun faction lost his life during an attempted robbery in the town of Abu Kamal on the Syrian-Iraqi border.

The body of a farmer and his son found two hours after they were kidnapped by ISIS in Diyala
[NINANEWS] A security force found the body of a farmer and his son after they were kidnapped by ISIS, northeast of Baquba, the center of Diyala governorate.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / today that a security force found the body of a farmer and his son near a dump in the village of al-Aithah, east of Muqdadiya, northeast of Baquba, two hours after they were kidnapped by ISIS while they were in an orchard on the outskirts of Shouk al-Reem village, north of Muqdadiya.

The areas north of Muqdadiya are hot spots for ISIS and still contain outposts, hideouts and detachments that launch attacks from time to time./

Washington Post is condemned for video urging Americans to set up 'white accountability groups'
  • [Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] The video is the latest in a podcast series called The New Normal hosted by Nicole Ellis

  • It aired on Friday, and suggests white people segregate themselves into groups to discuss how white people have harmed people of color over history

  • One expert on the episode, Resmaa Manakem, suggests people take part in these groups for years before they can confront people of color

  • Trauma therapist Ilyse Kennedy said she took part in one such group and said it was important for white people to feel 'a period of deep shame'

  • The episode faced backlash, with one saying the suggestions were akin to a 'pseudoreligious movement' and constituted 'neoracism'

#9  Red Guard Struggle Sessions

During the Cultural Revolution of Communist China (1966-1976), a favorite tactic of Mao’s fanatical followers was the “struggle session”. If the Red Guard (the youthful fans of Chairman Mao who believed in his infallibility) thought that you were “counterrevolutionary” or that you were not radical enough, they would surround your house and drag you out into the town square. There you and others equally accused of imaginary crimes were screamed at (and beaten) by the Red Guard. Of course your relatives and neighbors would join in, because they would not want to fall into disfavor with the politically correct mob.

They would scream at you that you were a “running dog of capitalism” or that you were an “imperialist” or that you were “rightist”. You would be subjected to “criticism/self criticism” time: they would criticize you and you were expected to agree with the mob and criticize yourself. Or else.

More at link. Substitute "running dog of capitalism" with "white supremacist" or "imperialist" with "nazi" or "rightist" with "racist" and it sounds a lot like we're already there.

Look I don't support murderous IRAN, Radicalized Islam, its supporters, or those waging terrorism against the USA in any shape or form.

But the US Gov. shutting down Websites because "it claims it fails its fact checks, or has issues with what is said..." is granting itself a greater authority for more than likely down the road greater Internal USA abuses.

I agree with the rule of Law and War comment.

Then declare war making Radicalized Islam and websites promoting terrorist or illegal activities (eg. ANTI-FArt & BLOM) against
USA LAWS.

A Law thus making supporting such activities, when done or supported in speech even by elected officials Illegal and a treasonous Subversive offense.

Thus a RULE OF LAW that stands between the People and the usual overreaching few in Government with an agenda.

Note: I am sure many of you have read of the many ongoing efforts by the Coup admin trying to pass laws and reg's directed at and against conservatives. eg. The Domestic Terrorist Act.

So What if a Government decided to start shutting down Pro-USA Websites and Blogs that counter the far Left Political agenda of Pro-Black Anti-White Racism and violation of the Bill of Rights?

So yes I am looking down the road and I can see this as a 21EEE foot in the door for the Coups efforts to silence Conservative free speech sites arbitrarily based on political disagreement without a court order.
