Orlando Magic player drops Vaccine truth bomb… This is outstanding (video)
[Citizen Free Press] "I’ve had Covid already, so our understanding of antibodies and natural immunity is still evolving. With my age group and physical fitness level it’s not necessarily a fear of mine. Taking the Vaccine, it opens me up to the rare chance of having an adverse reaction to the Vaccine itself. I don’t believe that being Unvaccinated means being infected or being Vaccinated means uninfected. You can still catch Covid with or without the Vaccine."

Southeast Asia
Attack on FOB 4: The Worst Day in US Army Special Forces History
[Sandboxx] Even before the U.S. military deployed significant forces to Vietnam, Army Special Forces operators were on the ground advising and training South Vietnamese troops. From the late 1950s to the early 1970s, Green Berets fought and trained in Southeast Asia.

Out of the approximately 3.2 million American troops that deployed to Vietnam, 20,000 were Green Berets, who participated in thousands of missions that ranged from reconnaissance patrols to company-size raids to covert cross-border operations. For its courage and aggressiveness, the Army Special Forces Regiment paid a heavy price, losing approximately 900 men in the jungles and paddies of Southeast Asia.

But August 23, 1968, is by far the worst day in terms of casualties for the Special Forces Regiment not only in Vietnam but throughout its storied history.

Although most Green Berets served in their operational detachments throughout the country, a few hundred joined a highly classified outfit, the innocuous-sounding Military Assistance Command Vietnam-Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG).

MACV-SOG was established in 1964 as a covert joint special operations organization tasked with conducting cross-border operations in Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and North Vietnam—where U.S. troops weren’t supposed to be according to successive administrations.

SOG was composed of Army Special Forces operators, Navy SEALs, Recon Marines, Air Commandos, and a loyal cadre of local mercenaries.

August 23, 1968.

Forward Operations Base (FOB) 4, a top-secret special operations base, was brimming with life. The day before, dozens of Green Berets had appeared in front of their promotion boards, while SOG was holding its monthly staff meeting on base with commanders and intelligence and operations officers from all operations bases present. Many Green Berets from both groups had stayed on FOB 4 overnight. Meanwhile, a SOG command and control staff had recently relocated from the Da Nang Air Base to FOB 4, further swelling the numbers of Green Berets in the base. No one suspected that in the next hours they would be fighting for their lives in what ended up being the worst day in Army Special Forces history.

Located on the north side of Marble Mountain, a natural feature with five peaks interspersed by flat land, FOB 4 was a staging point for many top-secret cross-border operations.

Couple Celebrating Their 50th Anniversary Died In An Amtrak Train Derailment
[NPR] SAVANNAH, Ga. — Don Varnadoe spent months watching videos about train trips on his office computer in preparation for a special cross-country vacation to celebrate his and Margie Varnadoe's 50th wedding anniversary.

He phoned his co-workers in coastal Georgia, where he sold real estate for decades, from the first leg of their trip Friday to let them know it was turning into a dream vacation.

"He had called the office and said how excited they were," said Robert Kozlowski, managing broker at Coldwell Banker Access Realty in the port city of Brunswick. "They were in Washington, D.C., and headed west."

A day later, the couple died when an Amtrak train they were on derailed in rural Montana.

They were among three people who died along with a 28-year-old Illinois man named Zachariah Schneider, according to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office in Montana. Schneider was a software developer and big Green Bay Packers fan. He was traveling to Oregon with his wife, who survived.

Sen. Warren: ‘We Should Be Proud of President Biden' for Afghanistan Evacuation
[Breitbart] On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s "The Last Word," Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said that her takeaway on the evacuation of Afghanistan from the Senate’s hearing earlier in the day was that the evacuation "was actually an amazing undertaking" where "our military was able to get about 124,000 people out. They left no American-owned equipment behind."
...except for a billion or trillion dollars worth of stuff neatly lined up. And files and files of information about the Afghans who supported the Coalition effort in any way. We did get that many people out, though most of them were not American citizens or green card holders — or even the people we’d promised to get out.
And "We should be proud of President Biden and proud of our military."

Host Lawrence O’Donnell asked, "What was your takeaway from the hearing about the evacuation from Afghanistan?"

Warren responded, "That it was actually an amazing undertaking. It was done under chaotic circumstances.
...which need not have been chaotic, had they only used the Trump evacuation plan. Or even bothered to make one of their own.
Because the government had collapsed. Because the army had melted away, the Afghan Army, and that, even in the midst of all of that, our military was able to get about 124,000 people out. They left no American-owned equipment behind. They managed to execute that. And, yes, it was at risk. We lost a young woman from Massachusetts. I’m working now on trying to get the Congressional Medal of Honor for the people who we lost right at the end. But we knew it was a risky undertaking and the military performed. We should be proud of President Biden and proud of our military."

Anti-seizure medication improves cognitive function in some Alzheimer's patients
[MED Press] An inexpensive anti-seizure medication markedly improves learning and memory and other cognitive functions in Alzheimer's patients who have epileptic activity in their brains, according to a study published in the Sept. 27th issue of JAMA Neurology.

"This is a drug that's used for epilepsy," says Keith Vossel, MD, MSc, director of the Mary S. Easton Center for Alzheimer's Disease Research at UCLA, and the principal investigator on the clinical trial. "We used it in this study for Alzheimer's patients who had evidence of silent epileptic activity, which is seizure-like brain activity without the associated physical convulsions."

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the leading cause of dementia worldwide. Early symptoms include short-term memory loss, decline in problem solving, word-finding difficulties, and trouble with spatial navigation. Among Alzheimer's patients, an estimated 10-22% develop seizures, while an additional 22-54% exhibit silent epileptic activity.

Dr. Vossel showed in earlier studies that patients who experience silent epileptic activity in their brains have a more rapid decline in cognitive function. The researchers chose to test the anti-seizure medication levetiracetam, which was approved by the FDA in 1999 and had also performed well in animal models of Alzheimer's disease. Now available as a generic, levetiracetam costs around $70 per year. The dose tested in the trial was 125 mg twice a day, far less than a typical dose used for epilepsy.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
General Curtis LeMay Wanted Something Besides the SR-71 Blackbird
[National Interest] The SR-71 Blackbird is one of the most famous planes ever used by the U.S. military. It is believed to be the fastest plane ever flown. Also, it was never shot down in combat.

A new report looks at how the Blackbird almost didn’t get to that prominent place in aviation history.

According to Aviation Geek Club, it all happened in 1961. Gen. Curtis LeMay, then the vice chief of staff of the Air Force, approached Lockheed Martin’s Kelly Johnson and asked for something specific: an update of the A-12 Oxcart, to create "an extended range deep penetration bomber that the Russians could not stop."

Also, he wanted a "two-seat version of the A-12," which was meant to "survey the damage after World War III."

This request led to the YF-12 prototype interceptor, several of which were ordered during the 1960s. The creation of the interceptor eventually led to an order for the XB-70 Valkyrie Mach 3 strategic bomber.

However, both bomber aircraft were canceled and the Blackbird’s rise came soon afterward.

"The worries about World War III were subsided when the US found out, that the Russian’s nuclear arsenal buildup had been exaggerated and that they were not on the brink of developing a supersonic bomber. But this was the beginning and this led to the Skunk Works building 31 SR-71s," according to the Aviation Geek Club.

LeMay is known for the role he played during the Vietnam War. It was then when he suggested that the United States "bomb them back into the Stone Age."

Government Corruption
Jim Bovard: He Thought I Was an Undercover Fed
[Libertarian Institute] From the early 1990s onward, I was exposing FBI crimes, lies, and cover-ups. FBI director Louis Freeh publicly denounced me after I wrote a Wall Street Journal piece on the FBI’s killing of an innocent mother holding her baby at Ruby Ridge, Idaho. I continued hammering FBI abuses in the Journal, Playboy, American Spectator, and other publications.

One of the FBI’s biggest blunders occurred when it falsely accused a hapless security guard of masterminding an explosion at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Richard Jewell heroically saved lives by detecting and removing a pipe bomb before it exploded. But the FBI decided that Jewell had actually planted the bomb and leaked that charge to the media, which proceeded to drag Jewell’s life through the dirt for eighty-eight days. The FBI did nothing to curb the media harassment long after it recognized Jewell was innocent. I flogged the FBI’s vilification of Jewell in my 2000 book, Feeling Your Pain: The Explosion and Abuse of Government Power in the Clinton-Gore Years.

In August 2001, I took a brief vacation in the mountains of western North Carolina. My then spouse was leafing through a tourist guidebook and swooned over a chalet inn she saw that was far off the beaten path. Alas, the directions to that hideaway were not worth a plug nickel. After futilely roving that zip code for an hour, I pulled up in front of a hardware store in Whittier, a one-stoplight hamlet, to cuss and recheck the map.

I stepped out of my car and fired up a cheap cigar as I leaned against the front hood of my Ford. Ninety seconds later, a big ol’ bald guy wearing bib overalls came bounding out of the hardware store and asked in a booming voice: "What part of Maryland you from?"

"Rockville," I replied.

1st of all The FBI CIRG still has a lot of good agents that far the few out-weight the career brown nosing ladder climbers.

While Ruby Ridge and the Olympic Bombing are both examples of why there needs to be a clear re-written Operational Scope and Mission framework issued, that DE-Politicizes the DOJ and all related Federal Agencies.

Plus an Independent IG review to shake-up and get these agencies back to doing their original mission as respected Law Enforcement and NOT politically used weapons.

Let Us Not Forget

WACO, the Atlanta Prison Riot, Fast and Furious or any of the other handful of White House politically controlled FBI/ATF/DEA/DOJ Major Screw-ups or the dozens of clear violations of US Law and the US Constitution.

BTW: After looking at the dates some of these Issues came to light.
A person might see that many happened around various White House / Congressional Incidents and helped Deflect media and Political attention.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Man who killed Florida deputy caught, sheriff laments not shooting him
[NYPOST] Florida police arrested an ex-Marine in the killing of a sheriff’s deputy — but the sheriff lamented cops never had "an opportunity" to shoot the runaway.

Patrick McDowell, 35, on the run since the fatal shooting of Nassau Deputy Joshua Moyers last week was nabbed Tuesday at a Callahan sports field concession stand, Sheriff Bill Leeper said.

"I’ll just say I wish he would have gave us an opportunity to shoot him but he didn’t, he crawled out like a coward," Leeper said during a news conference. "He’s in jug and he’s gonna pay for what he did for Deputy Moyers."

McDowell is accused of shooting Moyers twice during a traffic stop on Friday, then going on the lam — setting off a five-day manhunt where he evaded capture by reportedly shooting a police dog.

Authorities in pursuit of McDowell had fired shots at the runaway, hitting him in the leg and grazing his head, the sheriff said.

Police finally caught up with McDowell Tuesday, with tips he was trying to get help to treat his wounds without going to a hospital where he feared he’d be detected.

They surrounded a ballpark concession stand and bathroom, where McDowell said he wanted to give himself up.

"He came out of the bathrooms," Leeper said. "Had him get down on the ground and crawl. He crawled like a baby, like the coward he is."

A police dog attacked him on the arms after the sheriff said McDowell didn’t "fully cooperate" with SWAT team commands.
We called on the dog to stop after 20 minutes or so. He was a mess...
Authorities cuffed McDowell using Moyers’ handcuffs, Leeper added. There are people cops believe helped McDowell avoid police the last few days, and the sheriff said more arrests can be coming in relation to the massive manhunt.

McDowell’s father, Richard, was "glad no one else got hurt," he told News 4 Jax. The father had previously told First- Coast News that his son had returned from Iraq and suffered from mental health issues and substance abuse.

#1  How dumb. This is a satellite photo, not a surface search radar. Stealthy doesn't mean magic invisiblity.

#2  It's a SAR radar image taken from orbit. The overhead aspect would be the best case for a radar to detect the ships as most effort would be made to reduce the side, and slightly above, radar reflection.

#7  You can hide the boat from radar reflection if you know what angle the radar is coming from. The big problem is the wake. Less surface at the waterline, less wake. Hence the work being done on catamarans with subsurface propulsion pods.

India-Pakistan
ISIS recruitment drive in overdrive mode since Kabul airport attack
[OneIndia] The rise of the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
in Afghanistan is being closely watched by the world.

However there is also a lurking danger of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
Khorasan Province (ISKP) raising its ugly head in Afghanistan and spreading its tentacles in other parts of the world.

The deadly attack at the Kabul airport recently is a sign that the ISKP is capable of striking big. Analysts and experts OneIndia spoke with say that the Taliban may have downplayed the threat, but the fact remains that the Taliban is not a united faction and the ISKP may over the months get stronger with disgruntled cadres joining the outfit.

The manner in which the ISKP struck at the airport is very similar to the attacks that the Taliban would carry out when it was not in power. Investigations have revealed that the ISKP used sticky bombs during the attack and this is very similar to the Taliban style of operation.

While the rise of the Taliban is a huge matter of concern, analysts say that the strengthening of the ISKP is a matter of greater worry. The ISKP nurtured global ambitions, while the Taliban would by and large stay at home and operate. The ISKP in the Indian context is even more dangerous since it has managed to recruit scores of Moslems especially from Kerala. Such attacks such as the one that took place in the Kabul airport may well breathe life into fence sitters who the ISKP is trying to recruit.

While the ISKP and Taliban have been at loggerheads, there is also a chance that the former may be allowed by the latter to operate in specific zones by the latter. For instance, Pakistain's ISI may well use it as a proxy to carry out attacks in India. The ISI may also fund the ISKP heavily as the outfit is in dire need of funds after its finances began to dwindle.

Afghanistan watchers say that it is never right to write off the ISKP. The Taliban continues to be a broken unit and as we have seen in the past, many from the group have joined the ISKP. If such attacks continue to take place, it would only add more life to the ISKP and there is a good chance and many from the Taliban or Pakistain based terror groups will join the outfit.

The ISKP remains an extremely dangerous entity and in the Indian context it is a matter of concern.

The Intelligence Bureau would continue to keep its focus closely on states such as Kerala and Tamil Nadu. As has been said recently, since the Kabul airport attack took place, the chatter on the social media and other messaging applications have only increased. An IB officer says that they are monitoring the web closely and are doing everything they can to ensure that the recruitment drive does not go into overdrive mode with the ISKP trying to up its game in Afghanistan.

Home Front: Politix
The Collapse of Biden's World
[PJMedia] Despite his vow to "build back better," China is forcing all of Joe Biden’s moves. The Asian giant’s decision to pursue its own climate policy, consisting largely of more industrialization with green trimmings, effectively kills the Paris accords, so long a part of the progressive platform. How could it not? Beijing produces more emissions than the EU and U.S. combined.

"In 2019, China’s emissions not only eclipsed that of the US — the world’s second-largest emitter at 11% of the global total — but also, for the first time, surpassed the emissions of all developed countries combined ... When added together, GHG emissions from all members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as well as all 27 EU member states, reached 14,057 MMt CO2e in 2019, about 36 MMt CO2e short of China’s total."

Not only is climate change DOA, but the post-WW2 alliance structure is in the ICU. China’s naval expansion pushed Washington to undercut the planned Australian purchase of French conventional submarines in favor of U.K.-U.S. nuclear designs. "For Mr. Macron, the [AUKUS] submarine debacle demonstrates that the NATO alliance is debilitated to the point of dysfunction through lack of trust. The glue has gone. Without transparency — and in the submarine deal there was none — alliance, in the French view, becomes an empty word."

The "glue" that held NATO together was fear of the Soviet bear. But that once formidable bruin is mangy and supplanted by the much more formidable CCP dragon. The decline of European alliances reflects the strategic primacy of Asia. The irony was that up until Kevin Rudd became PM, Australia actually wanted to become part of Asia. But Chinese expansionism changed all that and stirred in the Aussie breast the old but not wholly forgotten memories of alliances with the English-speaking world.

But the ultimate blow to Biden’s Global World has been to its economic underpinnings. China had been going broke gradually, then all of a sudden. "The roots of the crisis date to [Chinese] tax reforms in 1994 which bolstered central government coffers but left local governments reliant on land financing for revenue." By China’s own reckoning, the country’s vaunted economic growth rested on three huge bubbles that, once exploded, could threaten the Party’s own legitimacy. "This year, Xi has set out to reform the ’three huge mountains’ of housing, education and healthcare to rein in soaring costs for city dwellers as a way to shore up legitimacy as the ’people’s leader’, analysts said."

The Communist Party encouraged the bubbles in order to tax them. But now, with the stream of new business finally exhausted and the entire edifice threatening to collapse like a house of cards, Chairman Xi has suddenly rediscovered Maoism.

For a long time, analysts chalked Chinese President Xi Jinping’s homages to Mao Zedong to "political stagecraft," but a Wall Street Journal examination of Xi’s recent writings and speeches suggests they should be taking him much more seriously. It now appears Xi is "forcefully" trying to get China back to Mao’s socialist vision, the Journal writes....

"Xi does think he’s moving to a new kind of system that doesn’t exist anywhere in the world," Barry Naughton, a China economy expert at the University of California, San Diego, told the Journal. "I call it a government-steered economy."

Like Indiana Jones, Xi is pursued by three giant rocks and hopes to reach the socialist bunker leaving Western markets to take the brunt of the impact. As Jason Zweig observed, it was too much to hope that Wall Street should have known better.

Government Corruption
Biden DHS Secretary Opposes Wall Because It's A 'Proud Tradition' For People To Cross Border Illegally For Asylum
[TRENDINGPOLITICS] The Democrats keep saying the quiet part out loud.
That's because they've gone so long without any accountability they're not even trying to hide their corruption.
During a Sunday morning interview with far-left Fox News anchor Chris Wallace, Biden DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft
...the gang of subgeniuses trying to pass themselves off as the adults in charge of the series of calamities characteristic of the administration of a mentally challenged geriatric case...
opposes the border wall because it’s a "proud tradition" for the United States to let people in illegally through the southern border.
Sure. General Pershing made a name for himself escorting them... No. Wait... But he was on horseback and he didn't whip anyone.
"Why did you allow them in the country in the first place? Why didn’t you build — forgive me — a wall? Or a fence, from stopping this flood of people from coming across the dam. It looks like a highway when they cross the Rio Grande," Wallace asked.

The response from Mayorkas was simply mindblowing.

"It is the policy of this administration that we do not agree with the building of the wall. The law provides that individuals can make a claim for humanitarian relief, that is actually one of our proudest traditions," he said.

U.S. Federal Law Enforcement buying risky Chinese drones
[Axios] Federal law enforcement agencies are purchasing surveillance drones from a Chinese company the Pentagon has deemed a potential national security threat, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: Efforts to purge military and law enforcement agencies of potentially compromised Chinese technology have stalled amid bureaucratic red tape, and experts worry the federal government is needlessly exposing itself to snooping by malicious foreign actors.

Driving the news: The U.S. Secret Service is the latest to purchase surveillance drones from the Shenzhen-based company DJI, which dominates the commercial drone market in the U.S. and abroad.

  • The Secret Service bought eight DJI drones on July 26, according to procurement records obtained by the industry publication IPVM and shared with Axios.

  • That was three days after the Defense Department released a statement saying DJI products "pose potential threats to national security."

  • The FBI bought 19 DJI drones a few days earlier, records show.

The context: DJI makes an array of consumer products that are tremendously popular, including the Phantom and Mavic drone series, as well as the Osmo image-stabilization handle.

    Africa Subsaharan
Nigerian air force kills dozens of civilians in northeast
[JPost] Hi, kids, can you say "Camp Followers" and "Lies"? "Give us money"
The Nigerian Air Force fired upon and killed dozens of civilians at a village in the northeast, a victim and a resident said on Tuesday, as the country wages a 12-year war against Islamist insurgencies.

The air force did not respond to repeated requests for comment by phone and message.

The deaths come two months after the U.S. government transferred six A-29 Super Tucano fighter planes to Nigeria to assist in its war against Islamist militants. The sale of the aircraft was condemned by critics, citing the Nigerian military's record of killing civilians.

Two planes bombed a fish market in the village of Daban Masara on Sunday, said Husaini, who spoke to Reuters by phone on condition he be identified only by his first name. He said his leg was wounded in the attack.

"At least 50 people were killed instantly... including my friend who got married just three weeks ago," Husaini said.

The other resident, who asked not to be named, said locals had been fishing despite a military ban on the trade because of allegations the sales of fish are funding the Islamic State West Africa Province insurgent group.

The resident said they saw the corpses of at least 60 people after the air force's strike.

"They are innocent people like us that depend on fishing to sustain their living. Their mistake is that they were fishing in an area restricted by security forces," said the resident.

A United Nations security report reviewed by Reuters confirmed the strike, saying one fisherman was killed and six wounded

It is not clear whether the killings could affect the transfer to Nigeria of six more A-29 Super Tucanos, propeller-driven light attack aircraft.

The United States under then-President Donald Trump agreed to sell the planes to Nigeria in 2017, resurrecting a deal frozen by the Barack Obama administration after the Nigerian Air Force bombed a refugee camp, killing as many as 170 civilians.

    Government Corruption
Pentagon loosens access rules to Special Access Programs (SAPS)
[Washington Times] The Pentagon has revised rules that will make it easier for political appointees and congressional staffers to gain access to the Defense Department’s most secret programs, raising concerns among security officials.

Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks issued a memorandum to senior Pentagon officials on Sept. 20 stating that filling out a counterintelligence questionnaire is no longer required to gain access to special access programs. Known as SAPs, these are the most secret activities and programs within the department.

The eased rules specifically allow Senate-confirmed political appointees, members of the House and Senate, the professional staff of the congressional defense and intelligence oversight committees and senior White House officials access to the programs without filling out a prescreening questionnaire as required for all other officials in the Pentagon’s Special Access Security Manual: Personnel Security.

Also exempted from the prescreening questionnaire are national security advisers to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

A Pentagon official said the rule change could be "devastating" to the protection of highly sensitive programs.

Security officials "see this as a front-door or quasi-sanctioning method that will invite leaks, as previous measures affording proper protection of highly protected information are eliminated," the official said.

Special access programs are classified above the top-secret level and are reserved to protect the most sensitive information.

Hillary Clinton, a secretary of state in the Obama administration, received criticism for putting information from a special access program on her private email server, according to government documents related to a subsequent investigation. The sensitive information involved criteria to authorize drone strikes on terrorists.

    I. Charles McCullough III, serving as inspector general of the intelligence committee, disclosed the compromise of this high-level information in January 2016.

Another program involved the enemy-targeting radar frequency for surface-to-air missile systems in Iraq. The information required secrecy to protect the lives of U.S. pilots.

The Pentagon defended the decision to ease the rules.

#1  A Pentagon official said the rule change could be "devastating" to the protection of highly sensitive programs.

"Devastating" also to the people associated with those programs, but perhaps that is a secondary goal. The primary goad being the elimination of SAP programs and elements.

No benefit to our National Security will be realized through these action.

Lawyers & Scientists Are Building A Case For Why Natural Immunity Should Be Treated Same As Vaccination
[ZeroHedge] Now that at least one employer in the health-care field - Michigan's Spectrum Health - has decided to accept proof of natural immunity from prior infection as reason to waive its vaccination mandate for all employees, legal expert (and the reporters who love to quote them) are wondering: will the legality of proving natural immunity potentially win out in court?

The answer to that question, they say, will depend - as all things COVID-related do - on "the science", that nebulous and frequently shifting concept of how prior infection impacts immunity to new variants (and whether vaccine's do as well).

    Europe
France slashes visas for Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia in migrant row
[AlAhram] Gay Paree will sharply reduce the number of visas granted to people from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, accusing the former French colonies of not doing enough to allow illegal immigrants colonists to return, a government front man said Tuesday.

"It's a drastic decision, and unprecedented, but one made necessary by the fact that these countries are refusing to take back nationals who we do not want or cannot keep in La Belle France," Gabriel Attal told Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
    1 radio.

The station first reported the visa clampdown earlier Tuesday, saying President Emmanuel Macron took the decision a month ago after failed diplomatic efforts with the three North African countries.

Immigration is shaping up to be a key issue in next year's French presidential election, when Macron is widely expected to face off again against the far-right leader Marine Le Pen.

When visa requests are denied, French authorities must still secure a consular pass in order to forcibly expel individuals to their home countries, a document that Gay Paree says Algiers, Rabat and Tunis are refusing to provide.

"There was dialogue, then there were threats, and today we're carrying out those threats," Attal said.

"We're hoping that the response will be more cooperation with La Belle France so that we can apply our immigration rules," he said.

According to Europe 1, citing administration figures, Macron has ordered the number of visa deliveries to Algeria and Morocco to be halved from 2020 levels, and by a third for Tunisia.

It said that in the case of Algeria, French courts had rejected 7,731 visa requests in the first six months of this year, yet because consular passes had not been granted, only 22 individuals had been expelled from French territory.

For the next six months, Macron has capped visas for Algerians at 31,500, the report said.

La Belle France granted a record number of visas -- 275,000 -- to Algerians in 2019.

    Iraq
American spending on the Kurds: US launches million-dollar program to invest in Kurdistan Region agriculture
[Rudaw] A governmental United States agency on Sunday announced a yearlong one-million-dollar program in partnership with an Iraq-based consulting firm to develop the agricultural sector and promote local consumption in the Kurdistan Region, according to a blurb.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Iraqi consulting firm Top Mountain have partnered to launch the Agribusiness Incubator and Accelerator Program "to increase the competitiveness of the Iraqi agriculture," the statement said.

The program will support enterprises "as well as start-ups working in agriculture and agribusiness sectors in the IKR [Iraqi Kurdistan Region] through in-kind grants and technical assistance" in addition to organizing events for "showcasing local products, and promoting local consumption and investment" by facilitating private and public stakeholder partnerships, according to the statement.

The Kurdistan Region depends on neighboring countries for cheap imports of fresh produce - benefiting consumers but harming local farmers.

The release said that the Kurdistan Region offers "rich soil and ample access to water resources," but remains underdeveloped due to a "lack of investment in new technology, outdated management practices, and weak value chains" that render the agricultural market subject to product spoilage and fluctuations in price and supply.

"As a result, Iraq remains a net food importer, which eliminates significant economic opportunities and poses risks to food security," the statement said.

In early September, farmers in eastern Sulaimani province led protests in accusation of the government for failing to secure a market for them as cheap, illegal imports left them unable to compete each year. Produce from southern Iraqi provinces can be imported into the Region without restriction, but Kurdish traders say they must pay to pass through checkpoints in order to send their fruit and vegetables to Iraqi provinces.

, whose currencies have been devalued. The Iraqi dinar also devalued against the US dollar at the end of 2020, a step that Iraq’s finance minister said would move the country toward reform and "financial balance" that will revive the economy.

The region has benefitted from oil wealth for decades, but as prices plummeted during the pandemic, agriculture became a focus of Iraqi Kurds who seek economic diversification and a decrease in oil dependency.

Washington’s former ambassador to Iraq in August told Rudaw: "Developing the Iraqi economy, and helping diversify that economy and link it with the rest of the world, will be as important for the future of Iraq as will the security situation itself."

The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Board of Investment in its 2020 development plan laid out promises for development of food manufacturing, which the board hopes will help the Kurdistan Region "achieve food security".

Pfizer submits Vaccine data for 5 year-olds…
[CitizenFreePress] Pfizer-BioNTech have submitted trial data to the FDA for their Covid vaccine to be used in children as young as 5.

The companies said the trial, which produced "positive topline results," included 2,268 participants in the 5 to 12 year age category. The company said the vaccine in this study performed similarly to a previous study for people 16 to 25 years.

The vaccine is already authorized for children age 12 and older, and it took about one month for regulators to approve it after the companies formally filed for emergency-use authorization.

Children face a much lower risk of severe disease but experts point out that more than a quarter of the reported weekly Covid cases in the U.S. are in children under the age of 18, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Afghanistan
ICC Prosecutor Will Not Focus on US Forces in New Probe
[ToloNews] The International Criminal Court prosecutor on Monday said he is seeking approval to resume a war crimes investigation of Afghanistan, focusing on the actions of the Taliban
    ...mindless ferocity in a turban...
    and ISIS militia.

A statement said the request was being made to the court's judges in light of developments since the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan in a lightning advance last month.

Prosecutors had previously also looked into suspected crimes by US forces and Afghan government troops. But Karim Khan, six months into his nine-year tenure, said they would now "deprioritise" that element due to lack of resources, and instead focus on "the scale and nature of crimes within the jurisdiction of the court".

    Afghan human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
activist Horia Mosadiq, who has been helping victims to support the ICC probe for many years, called the announcement "an insult to thousands of other victims of crimes by Afghan government forces and US and NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all....
    forces".

The ICC had already spent 15 years looking into war crimes allegations in Afghanistan before opening a full investigation last year.

But that probe was put on hold by the Afghan government, which said it was investigating the crimes itself. The Hague-based ICC is a court of last resort, intervening only when a member country is unable or unwilling to prosecute war crimes, crimes against humanity or genocide.

Khan said the fall of the internationally recognised Afghan government and its replacement by the Taliban represented a "significant change of circumstances".

"After reviewing matters carefully, I have reached the conclusion that, at this time, there is no longer the prospect of genuine and effective domestic investigations ... within Afghanistan," his statement said.

The IAS officer, wearing white kurta pajamas and skull cap, alleged heard saying that Islam should be spread to every home in the entire world.

In another clip, Iftikharuddin is seen listening to a speaker's radical lessons. The speaker narrates a story of a Hindu man from Punjab

China installs new modular container-based accommodations for its troops near LAC in eastern Ladakh
[OneIndia] China has put in place new modular container-based accommodations for its troops in several high-altitude forward areas on its side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh in response to Indian deployment in the region, people familiar with the developments said on Monday.

China installs new shelters for troops near LAC in eastern Ladakh
The shelters were installed in locations near Tashigong, Manza, Hot Springs and Churup among others, in reflection of simmering tensions between the two sides in the region, they said.

The people cited above said China''s People Liberation Army has been feeling the heat of the Indian response to its "misadventure" in the region last year and that the Chinese military has been forced to go for long deployments and boost infrastructure in the region.

They said the Indian response to the Chinese actions last year, particularly after the Galwan Valley festivities, surprised the neighbouring country and that it deployed troops in areas where it never used to earlier.

"Our strategy is hurting them. They are reacting to our response. We have forced PLA to go for forward deployment and boost infrastructure," said one of the people.

They said the new deployments are appearing to be affecting the morale of the Chinese troops as they were not used to operate in such difficult terrain.

The new container-based accommodations were built in addition to the additional military camps that the Chinese military had set up following the escalation in tension between the two sides last year.

The people said India is also ramping up construction of tunnels, bridges roads and other critical infrastructure in eastern Ladakh and other areas along the nearly 3,500-km LAC.

They said China is also significantly enhancing its airbases and air defence units near the LAC in eastern Ladakh.

The border standoff between the Indian and Chinese militaries erupted on May 5 last year following a violent mostly peaceful clash in the Pangong lake area and both sides gradually enhanced their deployment by rushing in tens of thousands of soldiers as well as heavy weaponry.

The border row escalated after the Galwan Valley festivities on June 15 last year.

Twenty Indian Army personnel laid down their lives in the festivities that marked the most serious military conflicts between the two sides in decades.

In February, China officially acknowledged that five Chinese military officers and soldiers were killed in the festivities with the Indian Army though it is widely believed that the corpse count was higher.

As a result of a series of military and diplomatic talks, the two sides completed the disengagement process in Gogra area last month.

In February, the two sides completed the withdrawal of troops and weapons from the north and south banks of the Pangong lake in line with an agreement on disengagement.

Each side currently has around 50,000 to 60,000 troops along the LAC in the sensitive sector.

    Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran says drills near Azerbaijan border due to ‘Zionist presence’ in area
[IsraelTimes] Tehran dismisses Azerbaijan’s concerns and protests over surprise Iranian military maneuvers near frontier, says it is a ’question of illusory sovereignty’.

Tehran on Tuesday invoked its "illusory sovereignty" to dismiss Azerbaijan’s concerns over Iranian military exercises near their shared border.

"The drills carried out by our country in the northwest border areas... are a question of illusory sovereignty," Iranian foreign ministry front man Saeed Khatibzadeh said in a statement on the ministry website.

Tehran "will take all measures it judges necessary for its national security", he said, adding, "Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
will not tolerate the presence of the Zionist regime near our borders" — an allusion to Azerbaijan’s relations with Israel.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had criticized Tehran over the drills, calling them "a very surprising event."

"Every country can carry out any military drill on its own territory. It’s their sovereign right. But why now, and why on our border?" he said in an interview with Ottoman Turkish news agency Anadolu published on Monday.

Fighting broke out between Azerbaijan and Armenia in September last year over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, claiming some 6,000 lives over six weeks.

A secular, Moslem-majority state, Azerbaijan has long had warm relations with Jerusalem. Baku has bought billions of dollars of weapons from Israel and provided the Jewish state with oil.

The arms deals have sparked controversy and diplomatic flareups between Israel and Armenia, Azerbaijan’s neighbor and rival.

Armenia has since 2016 accused Azerbaijan of deploying Israeli-made kamikaze drones against Armenian forces. An Azerbaijani official acknowledged using Israeli-made attack drones, including loitering munitions during fighting last year.

Iran and Azerbaijan share a border of around 700 kilometers (430 miles) and enjoy good relations.

According to some estimates, there are around 10 million members of Iran’s Azeri-speaking community.

    Europe
Hundreds of migrants arrive in Lampedusa amid steep influx
[AlAhram] A rusty, overloaded fishing boat carrying 686 people arrived at an Italian island port amid new diplomatic efforts by Mediterranean governments to seek more European help in handling migrant arrivals.

Italian coasties ships escorted the boat, which was carrying mostly young men, into port late Monday in Lampedusa, Sicily, an island closer to Africa than the Italian mainland that is one of the main destinations for Libyan-based migrant smugglers.

The passengers disembarked and were taken to a reception center where they were to be processed. Recently Italia began a program to vaccinate newly arrived migrants colonists in Lampedusa against COVID-19.

The arrivals were the latest in a year that has seen a marked increase in the number of migrants colonists arriving in Italia.

As of Monday, 44,778 migrants colonists had disembarked in Italia this year, with the top nationalities Tunisia, Bangladesh and Egypt. The total is nearly double the number of arrivals in the first nine months of 2020 and five times the number of 2019, according to Interior Ministry statistics.

The arrivals have added urgency to efforts by Mediterranean countries to pressure the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
to develop a more equitable migration policy that addresses the problem driving people to flee their homelands and shares the burden beyond front-line European countries that receive the bulk of would-be asylum-seekers.

Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese met with her counterparts from Spain, Malta, Greece and Cyprus this week in Malaga, Spain and said there was an ``urgent'' need to craft a European policy that is equitable and provides ``ambitious'' financing for border patrols, redistribution and repatriation programs.

Shaquille O'Neal says celebrities are 'out of their minds' and renounces his celebrity status

"Celebrities are crazy. They really are," he continued. "Don’t call me that anymore. These people are out of their freaking mind with how they treat people, what they do, what they say. That’s never been me. I never want to be looked at like that."

"All my life, everyone probably gets stereotyped , but us celebrities, we get stereotyped because most of these celebrities are out of their mind," O’Neal added. "I don’t do that. I’m a regular person that listened, followed his dreams, and made it."

O'Neal grew up poor in Newark , New Jersey, before finding fame and fortune in sports.

"I came from nothing. But, just because I made it doesn’t mean I’m bigger than you, smarter than you — just because I have more money doesn’t mean I’m better than you. I’ve never been that way, and I never will be that way.
He's a better basketball player though. Gotta give him that,
So, I don’t want to be in that category of people," he said. "When they talk about Shaq, what do you say? ’He’s a nice guy.’ Because what else can you be? You’re either nice, or you’re the A-word, and I definitely won’t be looked at as the A-word."

Philippine Army: BIFF Militants Suffer Heavy Death Toll in Weekend Fighting
[BenarNews] At least 17 people — mostly suspected Islamic forces of Evil — were killed during heavy fighting between government forces and BIFF turbans in the southern Philippines at the weekend, the military said Monday.

The festivities began when some 30 member of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters
...a MILF splinter group aligned with the Islamic State...
(BIFF) attacked government soldiers who were patrolling near Shariff Saydona Mustapha town in Maguindanao province, according to a front man for the Army’s 6th Division.

"One soldier and 16 other BIFF forces of Evil were killed," Lt. Col. John Paul Baldomar said. "The figures of fatalities from the enemy side were provided to us by civilians. We have their names."

"The running gun-battles started Saturday and lasted until Sunday afternoon. Mopping up operations are ongoing," he told BenarNews.

BIFF are guerrillas who broke away from the former separatist group Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), when the latter agreed to a peace deal with the government for an expanded autonomy in the Philippine south.

The MILF now controls the region and has been helping Manila fight against the BIFF and other bully boy organizations.

Baldomar said the military used artillery and called in air support against the bully boys, who are believed to be hiding out in a vast marshland that borders Shariff Saydona Mustapha.

The bodies of two of the 16 slain BIFF fighters have been recovered so far, he said. But a military intelligence report, including information provided by locals, indicated that 14 more forces of Evil had been killed in the shootout.

The slain fighters were followers of Ustadz Karialan, one of three ranking commanders of the BIFF who has, however, not openly come out in support of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. bad boy group. The two other BIFF leaders, Ismail Abubakar and Abu Turaife have pledged their allegiance to IS.

It was unclear if Karialan was among the forces of Evil killed, Baldomar said.

"Until today, our clearing operation in the area is ongoing," he said, adding that army units had fired artillery toward the bully boys’ positions.

He said government forces were also bracing for possible retaliatory attacks.

"They are few, and we are not letting our guard down as we continue to intensify our campaign. In due time, they will be finished," regional military commander Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy told news hounds.

BIFF has a few hundred members and is concentrated mainly in central Mindanao Island, officials said.

In January, BIFF forces of Evil carried out two roadside kaboomings in the south that killed three and injured dozens of people. Two years ago, the group carried out a series of kabooms in the south, targeting a market and a restaurant that injured more than 24 people.

In 2017, hundreds of pro-IS fighters from Southeast Asia, the Middle East and elsewhere took over the southern Philippine city of Marawi for five months. Some 1,200 people were killed in a battle that ensued between the forces of Evil and government forces.

While BIFF did not send guerrillas to join that battle, it launched diversionary attacks at the time, according to officials.

After Israeli flags waved at Temple Mount, Islamic Movement warns of ‘red line’
[IsraelTimes] Individuals briefly detained by police, escorted off holy site for displaying flag; Ra’am’s religious council says ’status quo’ violations at flashpoint site can lead to conflict

A number of visitors to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City displayed Israeli flags on Monday, a prohibited move that angered Paleostinians and the Ra’am-linked Islamic Movement.
That’d be the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement, the militant wing of the Muslim Brotherhood in Israel. They do like getting upset about imaginary insults to the Muslim ownership of the Temple Mount.
Those waving the Israeli flag on Monday morning during the Sukkot holiday were briefly detained by police and escorted off the holy site.

The Islamic Movement warned the Israeli government of "ongoing violations on the Temple Mount and the escalations against the holy al-Aqsa Mosque by murderous Moslem settlers," according to the Ynet news site.

The coalition’s Ra’am party is the political wing of the Southern Islamic Movement,
    ...sometimes called the Southern Branch...
an organization inspired by the Moslem Brüderbund.

"The racist right-wing has recently been trying to exploit the al-Aqsa Mosque for its political purposes. These violations have led to conflicts in the past, and could lead to conflicts if the phenomenon continues," the movement warned.

"We have declared this before and we declare it again, al-Aqsa [mosque] is a red line, and for us, it is the holiest shrine in this country," the Islamic Movement’s statement said.

"We will not allow any violation of its sanctity or any change in the status quo," it added.

The Temple Mount compound is considered the holiest place in Judaism as it is the site where the first and second Jewish Temples once stood. It also houses the al-Aqsa Mosque, the third-holiest site in Islam.

The flashpoint site is an emotional epicenter of the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict. Many rounds of deadly fighting in the decades-long conflict have erupted around it.

Israel captured the Temple Mount, and the rest of the Old City and East Jerusalem, from Jordan in the 1967 Six Day War, and annexed it, but it allowed Jordan’s Waqf (Moslem trust) to continue to oversee the compound and other Islamic sites in Jerusalem.

Since 1967, a loose set of rules known as the "status quo" have governed day-to-day operations at the site. Any actual or perceived changes to the status quo have the potential to ignite violence.

Under the arrangement, non-Moslems are allowed to visit the Temple Mount but not to pray there.

Jews are allowed to enter in small groups during limited hours, but are taken through a predetermined route, are closely watched and are prohibited from praying or displaying any religious or national symbols.

For decades, religious Jews largely avoided visiting the site for religious reasons. Many leading rabbis, including the country’s Chief Rabbinate, ruled after the 1967 war that Jews "should not enter the entire area of the Temple Mount" out of concern for ritual impurity and uncertainty over the exact location of the ancient Temple’s holy of holies.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who leads the right-wing Yamina party, raised eyebrows in July on the Jewish fast day of Tisha B’Av when he said Israel was committed to protecting "freedom of worship" for Jews at the compound. His office quickly issued a clarification stating there was "no change whatsoever" in the status quo.

    Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Turkey claims death of senior PKK member in Rojava
[Rudaw] Ottoman Turkish state media claimed on Tuesday that the country’s forces killed a senior member of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northeast Syria (Rojava). Local security sources have denied the report.

Citing an unnamed security source, Anadolu Agency reported that wanted PKK member Engin Karaaslan, codenamed Haydar Varto, was killed by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) in an operation in the Ali Faro area on the main road between Qamishli and Hasaka.

The report said the operation was backed by an armed unmanned aerial vehicle, but did not say when it occurred.

Karaaslan was born in 1964 in the village of Kartaldere, Elazig province in eastern Turkey, according to his profile on the country’s most-wanted list. Anadolu said he joined the PKK in the eighties and was personally trained by the group’s leader Abdullah Ocalan. In the 2000s, he was appointed the PKK’s representative to Armenia.

Local Rojava media Hawar News Agency (ANHA) reported a Ottoman Turkish attack on a white Toyota Land Cruiser - what appears to be the same vehicle featured in the photo accompanying the Anadolu article - on the Qamishli-Hasaka road on August 19.

On August 20, the People’s Protection Units (YPG) announced the death of a commander, Renas Roj, killed in the same spot the day before. The YPG blamed Turkey for the death.

Roj, also known as Selahattin Sehabi, was from Qamishli.

Security sources from the YPG and other forces in Rojava speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, said Roj was driving the white Land Cruiser pictured by both ANHA and Anadolu, but he was alone in the vehicle the day he was killed.

Rudaw English reached out to YPG spokesperson Nuri Mahmud for comment, but he was not immediately available.

The PKK is an gang fighting for the increased rights of Kurds in Turkey. It is designated as a terrorist organization by Ankara. Turkey has increased its drone attacks against senior Kurdish fighters in Rojava in recent months. Ankara claims that YPG is the Syrian offshoot of the PKK.

    Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
United Russia received less than 1 percent of votes in a Chechen village
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

    United Russia is Putin's party.

[KavkazUzel] The New People party won the elections to the State Duma in the village of Koren-Benoy, Nozhai-Yurt district of Chechnya. Only 0.92 percent of the village voters voted for United Russia, it follows from the data of the election commission.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, on September 17-19, Chechnya held voting in the elections to the State Duma, as well as direct elections for the head of the republic, elections to the parliament and the city duma of Grozny. Ramzan Kadyrov, according to the Central Election Commission, won 99.7% of the votes in the elections for the head of Chechnya, breaking his own record in 2016, when he won 97% of the votes.

"United Russia" in the Duma elections in the republic received 96.13% of the vote, "Fair Russia - For the Truth" - 0.93 percent, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation - 0.75 percent, the rest of the parties gained less than 0.5 percent, the election commission of Chechnya said.

According to the website of the Chechen electoral commission, United Russia did not gain 0.92 percent (two votes) in the elections to the State Duma at PEC # 457, which is located in the village of Koren-Benoy, Nozhai-Yurt district. Most of all, 95.41 percent (208 votes) received the New People party. The number of voters in this village is, according to the election commission, 231 people.

Having studied the data on the website of the election commission on the results of the State Duma elections in Chechnya, the "Caucasian Knot" drew attention to the fact that at one of the polling stations United Russia won less than 50 percent of the votes. Thus, at PEC No. 510 in the Urus-Martan district, 48.81 percent of voters (531 people) voted for the ruling party, while 22.43 percent (244) of the votes were cast for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

Earlier it was reported that at seven polling stations in Dagestan, residents voted in the elections to the State Duma for the rivals of the ruling party, and United Russia did not receive a single vote .

Similar abnormal results can be found in the summary tables of other regions, including the Republic of Tyva and the Nizhny Novgorod region. In Tyva, at PEC No. 70, New People also won, gaining 97.09% of the vote, United Russia got only 0.30 percent, and in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, at PEC No. 1336, 100 percent of the votes went to the Party of Pensioners, the article says. on the website of The Insider.

Such anomalies can be explained in different ways, commented on the publication of the co-chairman of the Golos movement, a member of the scientific expert council at the Central Executive Committee of the Russian Federation, Andrei Buzin.

"First, it can be errors. I admit that they could have confused the lines. This happens in election commissions - the sequence of parties was written in the wrong way and therefore the result was entered in the wrong place. The second explanation can be as follows.

In Dagestan and other Caucasian republics, we are not talking about parties, but about clans. At these polling stations, people vote consolidated, so it is quite possible that they were simply aimed at voting in this way. The aksakals said so. These explanations are based not on research, but on experience," Buzin explained.

Teachers and doctors in Chechnya repeatedly voted against their will  at different polling stations, residents of the republic told the "Caucasian Knot" earlier, pointing out the passive attitude of many of their acquaintances to the elections. Before the elections, rallies were held in different regions of Chechnya with the participation of state employees and civil servants, who urged residents of the republic to vote.

For almost twenty years, Chechnya has established mechanisms for monitoring the election results, the author of the blog on the Caucasian Knot Chechnya Inside said . "To control the elections, the local authorities created more than 200 operational headquarters under the patronage of officials, as well as a command to 'counter information ballot stuffing about election violations.'

    Iraq
Iraqi forces kill one ISIS member during ‘infiltration attempt’ north of Baghdad
    [Rudaw] One Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) member was killed north of Baghdad on Monday during a security operation, state media reported.

The murderous Moslem was killed as the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) thwarted an "infiltration attempt" by ISIS in Tarmiyah district, located about 50 kilometers north of the capital, the force told state media.

Both civilians and security forces are vulnerable to ISIS attacks in Tarmiyah. Locals say the murderous Moslem group regularly extorts the population and uses the area as a launchpad to target the nearby capital.

Four soldiers were killed in an IED explosion in the district in May. A security source blamed the attack on the terror group.

Iraqi forces launch frequent operations targeting ISIS remnants in the area. Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi announced a new security operation last month.

ISIS seized control of swathes of Iraq in 2014. The group was declared territorially defeated in Iraq in 2017 but remains a threat, carrying out bombings, hit-and-run attacks, and abductions across several provinces.

The PMF also thwarted an ISIS "terrorist plot" in al-Hussainiya village, southwest of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
    , according to state media.

The force found bombs but were demolished before they were detonated.

The PMF is an umbrella network largely made up of Shiite militia groups that was formed in 2014 in response to a fatwa issued by Iraq’s most senior Shiite holy man, Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, urging young Iraqis to take up arms against ISIS.

In the latest edition of its weekly propaganda magazine al-Nabaa, ISIS claimed it carried out 6 attacks in Iraq from September 17 to 23, killing and injuring 11 people.

Two men reported dead after KGB raid in Minsk
[BelSat] According to Euroradio, a shootout occurred in Minsk on September 28 during a raid on the apartments.

"During an "inspection of apartments," a resident resisted the law enforcement officers, shooting and killing one of them with a hunting rifle. The law enforcers returned fire shooting and killing the man. The wounded KGB officer later died,” reports the newspaper.

The Belarusian KGB confirmed the incident:

"Today, during a special inspection of the apartments with people involved in terrorist activities, man fired a shotgun at law enforcement officers. A particularly dangerous criminal fatally wounded an employee of the State Security Committee. The fire was returned, and the perpetrator was killed. The officer later died of injuries."

The criminal case under part 2 of article 139 of the Criminal Code (“murder of a person in connection with his official activities”) was opened.

    Who was killed?
According to preliminary information, the shooter was Andrei Zeltser, an employee of EPAM Systems.

Belsat source in EPAM confirmed that an employee with that name and surname indeed worked in the Belarusian office of the company. Based on his Instagram, he was keen on photography and weapons.

According to neighbors, Andrei lived with his wife in her apartment. They were raising a son who went to elementary school. It is unclead where the child was at the time of the shooting, Nasha Niva reports.

    Fake?
“It is too early to comment. But there are more questions than answers,” representative BYPOL, an initiative of Belarusian security forces, told Belsat.

Says Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:
A quick video of the arrest of a Belarusian Bad Guy, during which a KGB officer was killed and a 32-year-old Bad Guy Zeltser, who worked as a programmer, was shot dead.

Utyrka's wife was detained on suspicion of complicity in the murder. Will probably get several years.

According to the Investigative Committee of Belarus.

It was preliminarily established that on September 28, employees of the state security agencies carried out special measures to work out addresses in which persons involved in terrorist activities could be.

"In response to the lawful demands of law enforcement officers, a 31-year-old resident of Minsk refused to open the door of the apartment and locked himself in it. For the subsequent so-called 'hype,' he was filming. one of them suffered bodily harm, from which he died in the hospital," said in the UK.

Given the nature of the violence used, armed resistance from a 31-year-old man, he was liquidated with return fire. His 40-year-old wife, who also filmed the crime and assisted in its commission, was detained on suspicion of complicity in the murder of a KGB officer.

Currently, urgent investigative actions and operational-search measures are being carried out, including those aimed at identifying the persons involved in the commission of the crime. Appointed forensic, complex forensic ballistic and other expert studies.

The deceased KGB officer is survived by his wife and young child.

Pakistan uses fake Islam is in danger narrative as main theme of its terror indoctrination
[OneIndia] An infiltration bid was made by Pak murderous Moslems along the Line of Control in Uri Sector on the intervening night of 18/ 19 September 2021 and the same was eliminated over succeeding nights, the Indian Army said.

The route taken by the murderous Moslems to infiltrate was from Sawai Nala Terrorist Camp to Hallan Shumali Launch pad to Jabri, leading into Salamabad Nala.
Taking advantage of dark night, uneven ground, bad weather and thick undergrowth, Pakistain harboured terrorist group Lashkar-e-Tayiba attempted to infiltrate six murderous Moslems from the general area of Pak post Jabri. During the infiltration attempt, while two murderous Moslems were crossing the LC, own patrolling party established contact with them. Taking advantage of the thick undergrowth, four murderous Moslems ran back towards the POK side of LC while remaining two murderous Moslems managed to enter into own area.

Additional forces were inducted and multiple patrols were launched in the suspected areas and the getaway routes were blocked. On the night of 25 Sep 2021, contact was again established by one such patrol with the murderous Moslems approximately 800 meters inside the LC. WHO employees took part in Congo sex abuses in Ebola crisis
[CNN] Can't get myself worked up about it. What else is there to do in the Congo?
More than 80 aid workers including some employed by the World Health Organization (WHO) were involved in incidents of sexual abuse and exploitation during an Ebola crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
, an independent commission said on Tuesday.

The probe was prompted by an investigation last year by the Thomson Rooters Foundation and The New Humanitarian in which more than 50 women accused aid workers from the WHO and other charities of demanding sex in exchange for jobs between 2018-2020.

In its long-awaited report, the commission found that some 21 of 83 alleged perpetrators were employed by the WHO, and that the abuses, which included nine allegations of rape, were committed by both national and international staff.

"The review team has established that the presumed victims were promised jobs in exchange for sexual relations or in order to keep their jobs," commission member Malick Coulibaly told a press briefing. Many of the male perpetrators refused to use a condom and 29 of the women became pregnant and some were forced to later abort by their abusers, he added.

Greta Thunberg mocks Biden's 'Build Back Better' plan as 'blah, blah, blah'

"This is all we hear from our so-called leaders: Words. Words that sound great but so far have led to no action," the 18-year-old Swedish activist told crowds at the Youth4Climate summit in Milan, Italia.

"This is not about some expensive, politically correct green act of bunny hugging, or blah, blah, blah. Build Back Better, blah, blah, blah," she said, deriding Biden’s controversial $3.5 trillion post-COVID plan.

"Green economy, blah, blah, blah. Net-zero by 2050, blah, blah, blah. Climate-neutral, blah, blah, blah," she continued to applause.

"Our hopes and dreams drown in their empty words and promises," she said, accusing governments of "shamelessly congratulating themselves" for insufficient pledges to cut emissions and promises of financing.

Tajikistan interfering in Afghanistan’s affairs: Mullah Baradar
[KhaamaPress] The first deputy of the Prime Minister of the Taliban
    ...Arabic for students...
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar accused Tajikistan of interfering in Afghanistan’s affairs.

Mullah Baradar in his recent interview with Al Jazeera though did not mention any specific action, said that there is a reaction to every action.

Tajikistan’s president Emomali Rahman had recently said that there should be transparent elections in Afghanistan and an all-inclusive government should be established through this means.

On the other hand, Rahman in his UN speech said that they are forging further security layers on the border with Afghanistan in order to prevent the spread of terrorism from Afghanistan.

Taliban has been always been saying that they are not interfering in any other country’s affairs and they should also be left alone.

Officials of the IEA say that they are willing to engage with the world but do not accept interference in their internal affairs.

Biden cancels Wednesday Chicago trip to focus on salvaging $3.5T spending bill
That’d require him remembering what he was saying from the beginning of the sentence to the end of it. And also remembering both the quid and the quo,so the odds are he’ll be licking his ice cream cone while someone else makes the phone calls.
    [FOXBUSINESS] President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S., father of Hunter. He blames Trump for losing Afghanistan.......
will postpone a planned trip to reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
on Wednesday so he can continue negotiations with Democrat holdouts on his $3.5 trillion spending bill, the White House confirmed.

Biden was scheduled to travel to Chicago as part of his administration’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign. A White House official said the trip will be rescheduled.

"In meetings and calls over the weekend and through today, President Biden has been engaging with members of Congress on the path forward for the Build Back Better Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal," the White House official said. "He will now remain at the White House tomorrow to continue working on advancing these two pieces of legislation to create jobs, grow the economy, and make investments in families, rather than failed giveaways to the rich and big corporations."

    Afghanistan
MoJ to Enforce Zahir Shah-Era Constitution
[ToloNews] The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) on Tuesday said that the constitution from King Zahir Shah’s era
...ratified in 1964, and used briefly by the Hamid Karzai government before they got one of their very own...
will be enforced in the country for an interim period.

Acting Justice Minister Abdul Hakim Sharie made the remarks in his meeting in Tuesday with the Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan Wang Yu.

Sharie also said the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will respect international laws that are not against Sharia Law and the Emirate’s principles.
And those that are will be ignored as pretty frosting on the same stale cake. No doubt in the end they’ll go back to whatever they came up with the first time round.
In a statement posted on the Justice Ministry website, Sharie said: "The Islamic Emirate will enforce the constitution from the era of King Zahir Shah, Afghanistan’s last king, for an interim period, except those articles that are in conflict with Sharia Law and the principles of the Islamic Emirate."

    Meanwhile,
...back at the shouting match, the spittle had reached unprecedented levels...
the Cultural Commission of the Ministry of Information and Culture said the King Shah-era constitution will be enforced until a new constitution is put in place.

King Zahir Shah’s constitution has 11 chapters and 128 articles. According to the document, the king is the ultimate authority in decision-making.

Sources told TOLOnews that the enforcement of the King Zahir Shah-era constitution was repeatedly put forward by the negotiating team of the Islamic Emirate in the intra-Afghan talks in Doha.

[OneIndia] An independent media outlet in Afghanistan has reported that the Taliban

The killing comes in the wake of several brutalities being reported. The Taliban has carried out several executions of those who have raised their voice against them.

The Taliban have gone on the offensive in Panjshir, which incidentally was the last province that fell to the group.

    Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran exports to Iraq totaled $3.8 billion in past 6 months
[Rudaw] Iran’s foreign trade increased by nearly 50 percent in the past six months compared to the same period last year, the head of the country’s custom authority said on Monday.

"Iran's foreign trade during this period, while maintaining the growth of exports, reached $45 billion, which compared to the same period last year showed a 47 percent growth," said Mehdi Mirasharfi, director general of customs, state media reported.

Of that, $3.8 billion went to Iraq, he added.

Iraq is the second-largest importer of Iranian products. It follows China, which predominantly imports petrochemicals from the Islamic Theocratic Republic. Iraq’s main purchases from Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
are agricultural products, engineering services, construction materials, and energy, such as electricity and natural gas. Earlier this year, Iran said they had exported $11 billion worth of food and agricultural products to Iraq in five years.

Iran’s economy and trade have shrunk drastically under United States sanctions and the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic. In 2019, Iraq accounted for around $9 billion of Iran’s $12.5 billion of exports and the following year it imported $7.3 billion from its neighbor.

Iraq has received waivers from Washington allowing it to buy electricity and natural gas from Iran.

Travel and trade between the neighbours was hit by the coronavirus. Iran fast became the regional epicenter and one of the world’s worst-hit countries by the pandemic after recording its first case in Qom in February of last year. As cases of infection began to seep into Iraq - many of which were people who had returned from Iran - Baghdad began restricting travel, shutting its five main border crossings with its eastern neighbor in mid-March 2020.

The Kurdistan Region at times closed its border to tourists, though trade continued normally.

    Government Corruption
AZ Audit: 86,391 Ballots Cast For People Who Do Not Seem To Exist
[DJHJMedia] During the Maricopa county audit, Cyber Ninjas were unable to identify 86,391 voters. Democrats and no selected party votes made up a whopping 73.8% of the votes or 63,757 ballots total. Not selecting a party makes monitoring of nefarious registrations nearly impossible to verify.

Even the new registration forms include only three categories, R, D, and other.

Cyber Ninjas used Melissa Personator which is arguably the best program for confirmation of the citizenship of Americans and Canadians. It searches various databases including USPS and the Social Security databases.

Since Social Security lists everyone’s name, DOB, SS#, and addresses, there is no reason why legitimate voters cannot be found using the program. All voters should be readily listed except for the possible exceptions of illegal aliens.

Remember, these numbers are in addition to the 50,000 plus duplicate votes. They make no consideration the database might have been manipulated, but know it was hacked on Nov. 5th, 2020. If the Senate had just subpoenaed Maricopa’s VRAS servers and tasked CyFIR in order to investigate further, we would know much more than we do now.

Voter registrations between the 2018 and the 2020 elections jumped by an unbelievable 13.1. That’s 340,676 new voter registrations in just 2 years. That is unheard of in a state the size of Arizona.

#1  All voters should be readily listed except for the possible exceptions of illegal aliens.

Bingo! Why is our border being flooded with people from all over the world? Illegal (ghost) voters!

All the more reason to build the wall, develop alliances with South and Central American countries to limit the flow of illegal invaders and develop trade policies that stimulate industries in those countries...all Trump policies. There are spillover pluses such as limiting the spread of pandemics, shutting down human and drug trafficking. Instead, we have the cluster fook we have today--what an obamanation.

Youtube removes German Russia Today channel
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[RT] RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan commented on the deletion of YouTube video hosting without the possibility of restoring two German RT channels - RT DE and Der Fehlende Part (DFP).

Simonyan on the removal of the YouTube channel RT DE: this is a media war declared by Germany to Russia

“This is a real media war declared by the state of Germany against the state of Russia. I really expect that my native state, without delay, will ban Deutsche Welle and other German media in Russia, as well as close the offices of ARD and ZDF. I am already silent about the sanctions against YouTube itself. At least out of self-respect, we must do this, ” she wrote on the Telegram channel.

Earlier, the head of RT DE and Ruptly Dinara Toktosunova said that YouTube had deleted RT DE and DFP without the right to restore .

RT DE is in fourth place on YouTube among German-language media in the News and Politics category with 21.3 million views in June, according to the platform's counter.

Russian military Journalist Boris Rozhin weighs in:
And again, hello from the democratic censorship.

YouTube stupidly demolished two RT channels broadcasting to Germany without the possibility of their restoration. One of them was the 4th most popular Internet news channel in Germany.

Simonyan has already urged to ban Deutsche Welle and other German media outlets in Russia, as well as close ARD and ZDF offices, as well as apply sanctions to YouTube. She called all this a media war, which Germany declared to Russia.

Another step towards the inevitable blocking of YouTube in Russia in the medium or long term, which is constrained by the lack of sane alternatives rather than the lack of technical capabilities or the desire to do so. The media war has been in full swing for a long time, and Russia, as usual, is not ready. The need to create an alternative was discussed 10 years ago.

So it is more likely that the main response will fly to the German media in Russia. Although here, in my opinion, it is more appropriate to hit the American media, since YouTube is controlled by the United States. Without a response, the Russian Federation will find itself in the position of France whining that it is not respected.

Having swallowed the blocking of Anna News, News Front, South Front, they naturally received periodic or permanent blocking of already larger state channels. In the modern world, the weak are beaten, despite all the complaints about the sport lotto. In this case, the beat is informational.

Russian Foreign ministry says will seek retaliatory measures against YouTube, German media

[TASS] The Russian Foreign Ministry said it would request Russian governmental agencies to take retaliatory measures against YouTube and German media outlets following the video hosting platform’s decision to block German-language projects of Russia’s RT media holding.

"Considering the nature of the incident, which is fully in line with the logic of the information warfare unleashed against Russia, taking retaliatory symmetrical measures against the German media in Russia would seem not just an appropriate, but also a necessary thing to do, especially taking into account that [the German media] were caught interfering into our country’s domestic affairs on several occasions in the past," the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

"Considering that multiple requests for returning to compliance with international obligations to protect media freedoms and the freedom of speech were ignored by the German side, we view such measures as the only possible way to encourage our partners to engage in a constructive and meaningful dialogue about this unacceptable situation."

"Having considered an RT request for protection against discrimination, it was resolved to file a request to relevant agencies of the Russian Federation with a proposal to draft and enforce retaliatory measures against YouTube and the German media," the statement continues.

The ministry described the move as an "act of unprecedented informational aggression" by the YouTube video hosting platform, committed with connivance or even at the behest of the German authorities.

German-language projects of Russia’s RT media holding were blocked by YouTube in an attempt to silence media sources that German officials find inconvenient, the Russian Foreign Ministry added.

"The goal of this aggression against the Russian media holding’s projects is evident: to silence information sources that go beyond the media agenda that German officials find convenient," it said.

"Accounts of two media operators of the RT Group - RT DE and Der Fehlende Part - have been removed without the possibility of being restored. The internet giant’s attempt to link such outrageous actions with some abstract ‘violations of the community’s internal rules’ in a bid to justify this evident act of censorship and suppression of the freedom of expression cannot be scrutinized and will not be scrutinized," the ministry continued.

"There can be no doubts that such unlawful actions against a media project, ranked fourth in the "News and Politics" subsection of the German-language media popularity rating, were taken by YouTube with open and covert support of the German authorities and local media," the statement says.

According to the document, the German government and media engaged in "perennial bullying" of correspondents of Russian broadcasters, including "blocking of bank accounts, public slander and so forth."

The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that as a result of YouTube’s actions, about 700,000 subscribers of the above-mentioned projects lost the opportunity to receive information from the source of their choice.

YouTube deleted two RT German-speaking channels without an option to bring them back, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan said on Tuesday.

Later in the day, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) sent a letter to Google, demanding to remove all restrictions from RT DE and DFP channels and explain the reasons for their imposition, the agency’s press office said.

    Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Masked settlers hurl rocks in south Hebron; 15 said injured, including toddler
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinians claim settlers smashed cars, homes; Israel Police says 2 Paleostinians and one Israeli arrested.

Dozens of masked Israeli settlers threw stones at Paleostinians in the south Hebron hills on Tuesday afternoon, smashing cars and injuring at least twelve Paleostinians, including a three-year-old boy, Paleostinian and Israeli witnesses said.

Some Paleostinians threw stones back at the settlers as well, causing festivities to break out between the two sides, witnesses said. Three Israelis were maimed as well, according to Hebrew media reports.

In videos from the scene, Israeli settlers can be seen breaking Paleostinian car windows and hurling stones at Paleostinian homes. The confrontations took place near the small Paleostinian shepherding camp of al-Mufaqara, a cluster of homes that straddles two illegal Israeli West Bank outposts, Avigayil and Havat Maon.

Two Paleostinians and one Israeli on the scene were arrested by officers for stone-throwing and assault, a police spokesperson said. Paleostinian witnesses said the Israeli military — which did not respond to requests for comment — fired tear gas and sound grenades at them, but not the settlers.

The injured boy, Mohammad Bakr Hussein, was allegedly struck in the head by a rock hurled by an Israeli settler as he slept in his house in al-Mufaqara. Hussein was evacuated for to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba in moderate condition, a hospital spokesperson said.

Some 16 Paleostinian cars were also damaged by settler stone-throwing, including one flipped entirely on its side. Houses were damaged, and a water tank punctured, said Oriel Eisner, 30, a left-wing Israeli-American activist.

"This was the worst attack we’ve seen for years. There isn’t a house they didn’t smash up," said Paleostinian resident Mahmoud Hussein, the boy’s grandfather.

According to local resident Basil al-Adra, the festivities erupted after settlers attacked a Paleostinian shepherd. Paleostinians arrived on the scene to push back the settlers, prompting many more to arrive from other outposts in the area.

"It must have been around 100 settlers, from all the outposts near al-Mufaqara. They smashed windows, punctured car tires, entered homes. And they injured a child as they hurled stones into his home," said al-Adra, who was present at the scene.

"We don’t even feel safe in our own homes anymore," al-Adra added.

Assault and vandalism by settlers against Paleostinians and Israeli security forces in the West Bank are commonly referred to as "price tag" attacks. Perpetrators say thar they are retaliation for Paleostinian violence or government policies seen as hostile to the settler movement.

Israeli authorities rarely arrest Jewish perpetrators. Rights groups lament that convictions are even more unusual, with the vast majority of charges in such cases being dropped.

Hebron Hills council head Yochai Damari said in a statement that the Israelis who had engaged in the festivities were "guests, not [local] residents, who say stones were thrown at them."

"Our way is not violence. Not against soldiers and not against Arabs," Damari said. He added that Paleostinians had been known to provoke festivities through "rioting and collaborating with anarchists."

According to Damari, Paleostinians also threw stones at the car of local Israeli private security guard who works in the nearby outpost of Havat Maon.

Once Eisner got word of the incident on Tuesday afternoon, he immediately called the police, who arrived about 45 minutes to an hour later, he said. Eisner, al-Adra and Hussein attested that they had seen a masked settler wield a gun and fire live ammunition into the air.

The incident sparked condemnation by left-wing Israeli parliamentarians.

"The lords of the land, backed by the occupation army and with the support of the occupation government, carry out daily terrorism on Paleostinian residents," wrote Joint List MK Aida Touma-Suleiman on Twitter.

The 36” diameter Newtonian telescope was the first to have been built using all American-made products, and it was built on a then isolated patch of University land—a former ostrich farm. The UA’s tradition of excellence in space sciences has only continued. In 2015, the National Science Foundation ranked UA’s College of Science number one among observational, theoretical, and space astronomy programs in the United States. The University leads or partners in running over 20 unique telescopes across the globe, and researchers at its facilities have discovered more than half of all known near-earth asteroids and comets. It is also the only university in the continental U.S. with its own radio telescope.

Mirrors from the Richard F. Caris Mirror Lab in Steward Observatory have been installed in the world’s most powerful telescopes, including the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT), and the Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT), slated for completion in 2025.

Kenyan military says at least 15 Al-Shabaab militants killed in IED blast
[Garowe] The Kenya Defense Forces [KDF] has confirmed that at least 15 al-Shabaab
...... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa...
Lions of Islam died on Monday after an Improvised Explosive Device [IED] went off after they had targeted some rural suburbs of Lamu.

According to KDF spokesperson Colonel Esther Kioko, the 15 were traveling inside a vehicle that ran over the IED, killing them on the spot and destroying the vehicle.

"The vehicle ran over an IED killing the 15 on the spot in Lamu near the border with Somalia," a statement by Esther Kioko, the Kenya Defense Forces [KDF] spokesperson, said.

Col. Kioko said the incident took place at 9:30 am between Sarira and Ras Kiamboni near Ishakani in Lamu County. According to Kioko, the IED was placed on the road by al-Shabaab fighters. It appears that the al-Shabaab fighters unintentionally ran over it.

It's been established that all occupants of the vehicle went titzup. There was a massive presence of coppers near the area where the incident took place.

Intelligence reports published by the security forces in Kenya have frequently revealed that a considerable presence of Lions of Islam along with the Kenya- Somali border and within the vast North-Eastern region.

It remains unclear who had planted the IED, which ended the lives of the krazed killers. However,
those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things...
Al-Shabaab is known to use IEDs, especially in the North-Eastern region. Kenya has been a target of the Lions of Islam who have their base located in Somalia.

In a recent statement, Strategic Intelligence, which keeps records on Al-Shabaab operations and attacks in the East Africa region, said that Kenyan Security agencies should be cautious, especially in terror-prone counties of Mandera, Wajir Lamu, and Garissa.

In May, suspected Al-Shabaab Lions of Islam planted IEDs along a busy road in Lamu which led to the death of eight soldiers after a vehicle the officers were traveling in ran over an IED which police believe was planted by the Lions of Islam in Baure.

The early morning incident took place in Baure, located in the dense Boni Forest, where the national government has been undertaking a multi-agency security operation dubbed Linda Boni.

The operation is aimed at flashing out al-Shabaab Lions of Islam in the vast Lamu County. Two weeks before the incident took place, two people were killed and one critically injured in Lamu when the vehicle they were traveling in ran over an IED still near the border with Somalia.

Al-Shabaab Lions of Islam denied that their Lions of Islam were killed by running over their own IED. Media outlets that are affiliated with the insurgency group claim that it was fifteen Kenyan soldiers who were killed on Monday.

For the last two years, a considerable number of KDF troops have been pitching tents in Lamu where they are involved in an operation in Boni Forest. Last week, President Uhuru Kenyatta visited a Naval Base in Manda, a year after the al-Shabaab attack in Manda Naval Base.

Last year's incident forced the Americans to deploy more security forces along Kenya's coast. The January 5, 2020 incident left three Americans dead but security forces managed to kill the Lions of Islam who attacked the base.

RNC challenges Vermont legislation giving voting rights to noncitizens
[FoxNews] Montpelier and Winooski in May made changes to their charters allowing noncitizens to vote.

The Republican National Committee is suing two Vermont cities over new town charters that allow noncitizens to vote in municipal elections.

"Democrats are trying to dismantle the integrity of our elections," RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said Monday. "In addition to attacking widely supported safeguards like voter ID, Democrats also want foreign citizens to vote in American elections. Republicans are fighting back on this far-left assault against election integrity -- unlike radical Democrats, we believe that our elections should be decided solely by American citizens. This is a matter of principle and we will fight in all 50 states to ensure this remains the case."

The case centers around the Vermont cities of Montpelier and Winooski, who in May had changes to their charters approved by the state's Senate that allowed noncitizens to vote in their municipal elections.

"I believe if someone wishes to be able to vote they should be a citizen," Vermont state Sen. Brian Collamore told Fox News in an interview at the time. "The Montpelier bill allows what is defined as a legal resident of the United States to be able to vote in city elections. ... If someone is here on a permanent basis, why would he or she not want to participate in the process to become a citizen?"

Republican Gov. Phil Scott vetoed the legislation in June, citing "inconsistency in election policy" across the state.

"Allowing a highly variable town-by-town approach to municipal voting creates inconsistency in election policy, as well as separate and unequal classes of residents potentially eligible to vote on local issues," Scott said in a letter to legislators.

But the governor's veto was overridden by the Senate in a 20-10 vote, with Democrats getting just enough votes to clear the two-thirds majority needed for a veto override.

Now the RNC has promised to fight back, arguing the lawsuit is part of their "ongoing fight to secure the integrity of our elections – in this specific instance, ensuring that American elections be solely decided by American citizens.

"The suit also raises important concerns about how the laws will be implemented and whether non-citizens will end up on the same voter registration lists used for state-level and federal elections," the RNC said.

Al-Shabaab commander surrenders to authorities in Somalia
    [Garowe] A senior al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
commander on Monday surrendered to government forces on Monday, in a dramatic move at Hirshabelle, in the latest development that could significantly boost the fight against the gunnies who have been controlling large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.

The al-Shabaab gunnies have been fighting to topple the fragile UN-backed Somalia administration, but their efforts have dragged due to systematic military operations, which are spearheaded by both the Somali National Army [SNA] and AU forces.

HirShabelle authorities said Senior al-Shabaab commander Hassan Ahmed surrendered to Somalia's troops in the region after making contacts with SNA. He was received and would undergo proper counseling before being let free.

He said has been fighting along al-Shabaab for several years but took the decision to leave the group battling the UN-backed Govt and AMISOM. The defector was in charge of operations in Central Somalia.

Usually, such defectors undergo counseling before being repatriated to their respective families. One of the key detectors from the gunnies is Mukhtaar Robow, who would later be arrested and detained by authorities incommunicado, a move which has been condemned.

Robow remains in a Mogadishu prison over 3 years later after being arrested by SNA and Æthiopian National Defense Forces [ENDF] working in Baidoa, Southwest. Robow had joined the Southwest presidential race before his arrest and subsequent incarceration.

Ahmed's move comes a few days after the SNA and AMISOM signed security agreements which would see joint operations take place in coming weeks. AMISOM has been hailed for helping the SNA troops adapt to Sophisticated operations in the city.

The al-Shabaab group has been suffering significant losses despite its ability to conduct small to large sporadic attacks in the country. It's estimated that the group has close to 7,000 active fighters who have been wreaking havoc in the Horn of Africa nation.

More American spending on the Kurds, this time in Rojava: US announces $4 million for fight against COVID-19 in Rojava
[Rudaw] The United States on Sunday announced $4 million in funding to fight COVID-19 in northeast Syria (Rojava) as numbers of new cases spike across the country.

The money is coming from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to meet "urgent COVID19 needs in northeast Syria. With these funds, the @USAID will increase access to medical supplies, rehabilitate health infrastructure, and improve health worker training," tweeted the US embassy. The embassy office in Damascus has been closed since 2012 after the outbreak of civil war.

There was no immediate statement from USAID, which is an independent agency that works in development assistance.

Parents of jailed Marine hail his courage calling out generals over Afghan disaster
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] A Marine Corps officer jugged
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
after releasing a series of Facebook videos criticizing military leadership for the botched withdrawal of Afghanistan, as well as a series of scathing posts lambasting "hypocrite" former presidents and generals, now sits in a type of solitary confinement with no phone, visitors, books, or even paper, his parents told the Washington Examiner.

"I anticipated it. I ran the gamut of rage to tears," said Cathy Scheller upon learning that her son Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller was arrested Monday. "I have taken up his cause. I will do everything I can to make sure this doesn’t disappear. I am very proud of him for standing for the service members and asking for accountability."

Scheller was three years away from retirement when a jacket wallah killed 13 service members during the Afghanistan airlifts. This prompted him to release a now-viral video that accused leadership of lacking accountability for the disastrous reaction to the fall of Kabul at the hands of the Taliban
    ...Arabic for students...
He voluntarily resigned and forfeited his retirement after the first video, saying it was worth it to speak the truth. Military leaders apparently weighed their options, as Scheller wasn’t immediately arrested but was only ordered not to communicate on social media.

"Effective immediately upon your receipt below, you are hereby ordered to refrain from posting any and all material, in any form without exception, to any social media. In this context, the term 'social media' shall be construed very broadly to include any medium by which you may share information with groups of people..." Lt. Col. Scheller was told, according to a Sept. 25 Facebook post .

In that post, Scheller asked his followers to abandon divisive
...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled...
ness and fear before critiquing several generals and each of the former presidents except for Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Being a self-defined foreign policy whiz kid means never having to say you're sorry...
. Scheller claimed former President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
    "divided the country," Barack Obama
They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them...
was "weak in any intestinal fortitude," and Bill Clinton
...former Democratic president of the U.S. Bill was the second U.S. president to be impeached, the first to deny that oral sex was sex, the first to have difficulty with the definition of the word is...
was "morally bankrupt. This includes his wife."

His post violated a direct order, and Scheller prepared himself for arrest at Camp LeJeune in North Carolina, where he is based. His parents received one phone call from him Tuesday, and his only words were, "Can you call my attorney?"

Kurdistan Region launches two electricity projects in Makhmour
[Rudaw] The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Monday launched two electricity projects in Makhmour district worth over one billion dinars. The projects are expected to improve the strained grid in the area.

The Bnar power station was built by the Girshin Company for the district, according to a statement from the KRG. A power-line was also launched in the Qaraj plains.

Both projects "will improve electricity supply and reduce pressure on existing power lines," it added.

Located in Erbil province, Makhmour district lies in territory whose control is disputed by Erbil and Baghdad. The lack of electricity has previously angered villagers, forcing them to consider leaving their houses.

Iraq and the Kurdistan Region suffer from chronic electricity shortages and dilapidated infrastructure. The failure of successive Iraqi and Kurdish governments to alleviate the chronic shortages since the 2003 war has been a near constant source of public anger.

The Kurdistan Region can generate 6,902 megawatts of power, but it only manages to generate between 3,400 and 3,500 megawatts "due to fuel shortages and high costs," the Ministry of Electricity said in a July report. Losses were particularly high in 2014 and 2015 with the start of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
    (ISIS) war in Iraq.

The KRG provides less than 12 hours of electricity during summer, with the public heavily relying on privately owned generators with which one can only use basic electronics which require just a few amps. The Region approved a decision to privatize the electricity distribution in May last year but it has not been fully implemented yet.

    Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Two soldiers said lightly hurt in clashes near West Bank shrine
[IsraelTimes] Busses taking some 500 Jewish worshippers to pray at Joseph’s Tomb attacked by Paleostinians with gunfire, rocks and explosives, troops return fire.

Two Israeli soldiers were lightly hurt during festivities with Paleostinians near Joseph’s Tomb in the northern West Bank early Monday, the Israel Police said.

The troops were part of a Military Police force guarding a group of some 500 Jewish worshipers who went to the site, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Paleostinians attacked the convoy of busses going to the shrine with live fire, stones and homemade bombs, police said in a statement.

Soldiers returned fire, the statement said.

There were no immediate details on Paleostinian casualties.

One officer was hit by shrapnel from an bomb, while the second was hit in the face with a stone. Both were lightly maimed.

The festivities come a day after Israeli forces killed five Paleostinians in a series of raids across the West Bank. Two Israeli soldiers were seriously maimed, apparently in a friendly fire incident.

The raids targeted alleged members of a Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", cell who were planning a major terror attack reminiscent of the Second Intifada, officials told Hebrew-language television networks.

It was not clear if the festivities at the tomb were a reaction to the raids. The shrine has in itself been a frequent flashpoint.

Near-monthly visits by Israelis to Joseph’s Tomb are permitted by the Israel Defense Forces and are carried out under heavily armed guard.

Joseph’s Tomb is located inside Area A of the West Bank, which is officially under complete Paleostinian Authority control, though the Israeli military conducts activities there. The IDF bars Israeli citizens from entering Area A without prior authorization.

The site is venerated by Jews, Christians and Moslems, and has often been a flashpoint for sectarian violence. During the visits by Jewish pilgrims, Paleostinians routinely throw rocks at the troops, and sometimes attack them with Molotov cocktails and gunfire.

In 2015 a large group of Paleostinians set fire to the compound containing Joseph’s Tomb. Paleostinian Authority security forces dispersed the hundred-strong crowd and managed to douse the fire at the tomb, which tradition says contains the remains of the biblical patriarch Joseph.

There have been other incidents of arson and vandalism at the site, including major damage by Paleostinian rioters in 2000.

    -Great Cultural Revolution
Data Firm Claims Racism Causes 'Tree Inequity' in U.S. Cities
[BREITBART] An analysis from a geospatial data company argues the number of trees planted in different neighborhoods nationwide is unequal along racial lines, and says the threat of "tree inequity" is real and growing.

"EarthDefine uses an Artificial Intelligence (AI) classification model to detect areas of an aerial image that are covered by trees, as opposed to other ground cover like shrubs, buildings and asphalt. They then calculate the percentage of the total land area that is covered by trees — a metric called ’tree canopy cover,’" the the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
Chronicle reported and compared the Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, city’s tree cover with other U.S. cities.

San Francisco has an estimated 669,000 trees, covering about 15 percent of the city’s total area. This is significantly lower than other cities, including Los Angeles, which has a tree canopy cover of 21 percent, New York City has 24 percent, and Seattle and Portland have nearly 30 percent of the area covered in trees.

The Chronicle reported EarthDefine, in partnership with PlanItGeo, provides this data for all U.S. cities every two years to help city agencies and conservation organizations keep track of tree plantings.

But it is the what the left-wing media outlets promotes as an underlying reason why some neighborhoods have less trees than others that is controversial. The importance of trees is also a departure from the common consensus on their benefits:

Trees are hugely important to a city. Not only do they enhance its aesthetics, but they also provide wide-ranging environmental and social benefits. According to Vibrant Cities Lab, a collaboration between the US Forest Service, American Forests and the National Association of Regional Councils, trees can reduce air pollution, clean stormwater, as well as improve the physical and mental health of nearby residents. Some studies even find that more trees are associated with reducing certain types of crime and improving students’ academic performance.

To understand what type of neighborhood is associated with more or less tree cover, we compared the tree canopy numbers with the median household income of each San Francisco census tract — a geographic area with about 1,200 to 8,000 residents. Overall, we found that wealthier census tracts tend to have more tree cover than lower-income tracts. On average, a census tract with a median household income of over $150,000 has 15 percent of its area covered by trees, compared to just 7 percent in a census tract with a median income of $80,000 or less.

#1  If only there were some way to get more trees... hey, wait! I thought trees were racist because they remind black people of slavery and lynchings.

Some studies even find that more trees are associated with reducing certain types of crime and improving students’ academic performance.

Let me go out on a limb (no pun!) and suggest "most studies" have trouble with the whole correlation vs causation thing. Just because someone did a study and tortured some numbers doesn't mean it is worth a poot.

#5  Artificial Intelligence (AI) classification model

They say artificial intelligence is better than no intelligence at all, but not necessarily by much. I don't doubt you can train a neural net to identify trees in aerial photos, but whether they did a good job of training is another question.

While the letters "AI" may make your grant application sexier, people have been estimating ground cover using traditional image processing techniques on multi-spectral images since God invented satellites.

CNN Slams 'Faulty Media Narrative' Of Border Patrol Whipping Haitians
[DAILYWIRE] After spending a full week promoting the discredited story that Border Patrol agents whipped illegal immigrants colonists from Haiti attempting to cross the U.S. border in Texas, CNN
...the organization formerly known as the Cable News Network. Now who knows what it might stand for...
pushed back against the "faulty media narrative" — without retracting, or even mentioning, its own misstatements.CNN media correspondent Brian Stelter, media news hound Oliver Darcy, and news anchor Jake Tapper all addressed the erroneous reports emanating from social media.

"How can DHS claim to have an independent investigation into these Border Patrol agents, when the president says, quote, ’Those people will pay,’ and you say the images ’horrified us’?" Tapper questioned Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Sunday’s "State of the Union."

Mayorkas doubled down that "what those images suggest, what they appeared to portray, was horrifying."

"But that’s the thing," Tapper responded. "Some of the initial descriptions of those images were just patently false. There’s now video out there that provides more context. Having seen the video, are you certain that there was actually wrongdoing?"
