‘Human' remains found in Amazon where British journalist, Brazilian expert vanished
[NY Post] I seen dis movie
Brazil search teams found possible human remains in their hunt for a British journalist and indigenous expert as the suspect’s family professed his innocence in the case.

Dom Phillips, who was a regular contributor to the Guardian and Washington Post, and Bruno Pereira were last seen Sunday in the Sao Rafael region of the Amazon rainforest where they disappeared after passing through a lawless region by boat.

This week’s developments saw police find traces of blood on a boat belonging to local resident Amarildo da Costa, who is considered the main suspect in the pair’s disappearance.

Now, experts will investigate the “organic material” found in a river near the town of Atalaia do Norte in the Amazon rainforest, in what may be the biggest break yet for the five-day investigation.

A Brazilian judge ordered suspect da Costa, who was this week charged with illegal possession of restricted ammunition, to be held for another 30 days while police investigate his involvement in the case.

Prosecutors request life sentence for main suspect in 2015 Paris terror attack
[IsraelTimes] Demand that Salah Abdeslam, 32, not have possibility of parole is extremely rare in La Belle France; verdict due on June 29; 19 others also on trial, accused of assisting killers.

Prosecutors in the Gay Paree attacks trial on Friday demanded a life sentence without parole for the main suspect in the November 2015 jihadist strike that killed 130 in La Belle France’s worst-ever terror assault.

Salah Abdeslam,
...the connected Moroccan-French boy who ran with all the other petty criminals in the notoriously Salafist Molenbeek neighbourhood until they grew up to transfer that sense of entitlement to membership in ISIS. Mr. Abdeslam has already been sentenced in Belgium in a separate trial. It appears he has abandoned the habit of silence that got him twenty years for that one...
a 32-year-old Frenchie, is the only surviving member of the attackers who opened fire in the packed Bataclan concert hall and on cafe terraces in adjacent streets, and detonated suicide bombs at the Stade de La Belle France sports arena.

The request that Abdeslam should not have the possibility of parole is extremely rare in La Belle France, where prisoners serving life sentences are often released after 20 to 25 years.

Also on trial are 19 others accused of various degrees of assistance to the killers, from providing logistical support to planning the attacks or supplying weapons.

Prosecutors also requested standard life sentences for suspected Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
members, Swedish citizen Osama Krayem
....alias Naim al Ahmed, who grew up in Malmo before toddling off to ISIS in Syria...
and Tunisian Sofien Ayari,
...this is his first mention in Rantburg, but he reportedly came across from Tunisia during the 2015 invasion, immediately falling in with the francophone cell, which is suggestive of previous connections and activities. He was arrested with Mr. Abdeslam at the end, which is also suggestive...
and one for Mohammed Abrini, a Belgian accused of having provided weapons and logistical support.

Abrini, known as the "man in the hat" from video footage, would go on to take part in suicide kabooms that struck Brussels in 2016, though he decided not to detonate his vest at the last minute.

Abdeslam has also claimed during the trial that he had a last-minute change of heart, which failed to convince the prosecution.

The length of the trial, its emotional charge and the number of plaintiffs — 2,500 — have made it the most impactful legal proceedings in French history.

The remainder of the trial will now be dedicated to closing statements by defense lawyers.

The verdict is due on June 29.

Abdeslam, who was arrested in Belgium after five months on the run, kept silent during the police investigation but started talking during the trial, explaining how he gave up plans to blow himself up, and apologized to victims.

But his tearful appeal for forgiveness had little impact on the prosecutors, who believe that his boom belt simply malfunctioned.

Prosecutors also said that Abdeslam’s claim that he was recruited by a jihadist cell only a few days before the attacks was "illogical."

A verdict of life in prison without parole has been handed down only four times since it was implemented in 1994, and all but rules out a later reduction of the sentence, and only after at least 30 years behind bars.

Prosecutors also requested standard life sentences for Mohammed Bakkali, accused of being the logistics coordinator of the attacks, as well as for five suspected Islamic State members believed to have been killed in Syria or Iraq.

For the remaining suspects, sentences of five to 16 years were requested.

These are a few of the locations on a dense interactive map of "Zionist leaders and powerhouse NGOs" in Massachusetts created by an activist group that says it aims to expose "local institutional support for the colonization of Paleostine" and reveal how support for Zionist causes is a nexus point for various "other harms" in society, ranging from gentrification to the prison-industrial complex to ableism.

Somalia lifts Khat ban to boost trade relations with Kenya
[Garowe] The federal republic of Somalia has improved ties with Kenya after years of turmoil, just moments after President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud officially took over on Thursday in a ceremony graced by a number of Heads of States and governments from the continent.

On Friday, a senior Kenyan announced that the Horn of Africa nation had agreed to lift the ban imposed on Khat,
...also spelt kat and qat...
locally known as Miraa. The ban was implemented almost two years ago, following strained diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries.

During the inauguration on Thursday, outgoing Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta attended the ceremony, signifying improved ties between the two countries following the change of leadership in Mogadishu. Former President Mohammed Abdullahi Farmajo is accused of triggering the fallout.

For years, Somalia has been battling with Kenya over a maritime border dispute, leading to a landmark ruling last year which largely favored the Horn of Africa nation. However,
ars longa, vita brevis...
Kenya was quick to dismiss the ruling by the International Court of Justice at The Hague.

Peter Munya, Kenya's Agriculture minister, announced that the East African country will start exporting Khat to Somalia after two years of suspension. The narcotic drug is widely used within Somalia as a mild stimulant drug.

According to Munya, the agreement between the two countries will be ready for signing within the next two weeks. Previously, aircrafts ferrying Khat to Somalia were locked out by the space agency which was under strict instructions from Villa Somalia.

The ban imposed in March 2020 led to a loss of more than 50 tonnes of Kenyan khat a day valued at around six million shillings [$50,000], according to Kimathi Munjuri, chairman of the Nyambene Miraa Traders Association in central Kenya, the News Agency that Dare Not be Named reports.

Somalia has been having a frost relationship with Kenya but the tension was minimized when the outgoing Prime Minister Mohammed Hussein Roble visited Nairobi where he held talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta over deteriorating ties.

"A peaceful and prosperous Federal Republic of Somalia is the dream of every Kenyan," Kenyatta said at Mohamud's inauguration.

"Your brothers and sisters in Kenya look forward to working with you so that we can all benefit economically and prosper together."

Kenyan exports to Somalia of 13 billion shillings [over $110 million] accounted for nearly five percent of its total exports to African countries in 2021, according to government data released last month.

Hassan Sheikh Mohamud had pledged to ensure the economy of the country is up and running following years of mismanagement under Mohammed Abdullahi Farmajo. The president also pledged to work with other stakeholders to improve security within the country.

‘This is Africa’: Two Thousand-Strong Mob Sexually Assault Girls and Cause Havoc in Italian Lakefront Towns
7 Jun 2022
[Breitbart] A mob of an estimated two thousand or so young men, mostly from migrant backgrounds according to reports, terrorised towns along with Lake Garda in northern Italy, with reports of women being sexually assaulted, shop windows smashed and police attacked.

The incidents took place last Thursday between the towns of Peschiera and Castelnuovo along Lake Garda and saw the mob of youths, mostly aged between 16 and 20 with some as young as 12, harass and cause havoc. Some were claimed to have shouted during the rampage, “We came to reconquer Peschiera. This is our territory, Africa must come here.”

Mayor of Castelnuovo Giovanni Del Cero was present during the rioting and said, “I tried to understand but they shouted absurd phrases, waving flags of various African countries,” the newspaper Corriere Della Sera reports. Italian paper Il Gionale cites witnesses claiming the crowd was “for the most part North African”

Following an incident of theft, the mob began brawling with sticks and knives and then started ransacking businesses along the waterfront with bottles and stones thrown. Riot police were deployed and clashed with the crowds.

The attacks, which echo the sex attacks in Milan by young migrant and migrant-background men during New Year’s Eve, were condemned by Luca Zaia, governor of the Veneto Region, who called for zero tolerance for such behaviour and demanded police find those responsible.

League leader Matteo Salvini responded to the attacks by saying that those responsible should be punished, even if it meant lowering the criminal age of responsibility to do so and argued that his party had been trying to tackle the issue of teen gangs, known as “Baby Gangs” in Italy, for years.

Three Algerian Illegals Arrested For Home Invasion Murder of 70-Year-Old Woman
10 June
[Breitbart] Three illegal migrants from Algeria have been arrested for the murder of a 70-year-old woman who was killed at her home earlier this week on Monday, in the city of Mulhouse in eastern France.

Prosecutor of the Republic of Mulhouse Edwige Roux-Morizot stated that the woman showed signs of “great violence” and had marks on her throat as well as her arms, indicating that she made an attempt to defend herself before she died, the news website Actu 17 reports.

Earlier that day at around 2 pm, a 35-year-old Algerian illegal migrant had been arrested for attempted burglary and investigators later found that he had identity documents in his possession of the 70-year-old woman who was allegedly murdered.

The day prior to the alleged murder, the 35-year-old had been subjected to a check by officers of the anti-crime brigade (BAC) along with two others, both illegal migrants as well. The two were later taken into custody in connection with the murder. All three Algerians were already known to the police, with one of them attempting to claim he was actually a minor. Police also found knives in the possession of the men following their arrest.

Grave of Swedish Child Terror Victim Ebba Åkerlund Desecrated Over a Hundred Times
10 June
[Breitbart] Stefan Åkerlund, the father of Ebba, claimed that the most recent desecration of his daughter’s grave took place this week, the day after Ebba would have turned 17 if she had not been murdered by radical Islamic migrant terrorist Rakhmat Akilov who drove a truck through a shopping street on April 7th, 2017.

In 2018, Åkerlund was able to catch an illegal immigrant who he claimed had not only desecrated Ebba’s grave but had desecrated other graves in the cemetery as well and had been doing so for over a year.

“I personally caught him in the act of desecration, when he was pouring [candle wax] on Ebba’s grave; the police released him after only one hour in custody,” he said

‘Highly Dangerous’ Smugglers Behind 10k Illegal Arrivals Arrested by European Taskforce
8 June
[Breitbart] A German-led European police taskforce claims to have arrested eight “highly dangerous” people smugglers in Austria, Germany, Hungary and Romania. and 127 others who operated a major migrant smuggling network that allegedly helped 10,000 enter Europe illegally. The European Union police agency Europol announced the results.

Europol notes that 127 others were arrested as “facilitators” of the network in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Romania, the Netherlands and Serbia. A total of 151 home searches were carried out and assets worth approximately €900,000 (£768,303/$962,703) were seized by authorities.

“These Europol High-Value Targets, mainly Syrian nationals, had global connections in source, transit and destination countries. Europol checked its databases and discovered that these suspects are already linked to 150 investigations,” Europol stated.

“The investigative leads revealed that the targets facilitated the smuggling of at least 10,000 migrants, who are mainly of Afghan, Pakistani and Syrian origin, to the EU,” the agency added.

Britain
UK Cinema Chain Pulls ‘Blasphemous’ Film over ‘Safety Concerns’ After Muslim Backlash
More about this story from yesterday.
[Breitbart] Bowing to pressure from protests from Moslem groups, a British cinema chain has pulled all screenings of a supposedly "blasphemous" film that uses CGI to depict the prophet Mohammed and presents contested historical events.

On Tuesday, Cineworld announced that it would cancel all screenings of The Lady of Heaven, which had sparked protests from mostly Sunni Moslem groups, who have objected to the historical accuracy of the events during the life of Mohammed’s daughter Fatimah, a key point of contention between the two main sects of Islam.

The film has also drawn the ire of Moslem activists for its digital representation of the face of Mohammed with computer-generated images of many different faces to depict the Islamic prophet, which some have claimed is blasphemous.

Responding to a petition demanding the removal of the film from all British cinemas, Cineworld said: "Due to the recent incidents regarding screenings of ’The Lady of Heaven,’ we have made the decision to cancel upcoming screenings of the film nationwide to ensure the safety of our staff and customers."

This week several protests were held outside of cinemas by what appeared to be Sunni Moslem activists, chanting slogans such as "Allah hu Akbar"(Allah is greater [than your god]).

In footage posted on social media, one protester at the Cinemaworld theatre in Bradford can be heard proclaiming: "We have a right not to be insulted".

Another said: "Birmingham will not tolerate the disrespect of our prophet and there will outcomes from your actions. You will have repercussions for your actions. We have been trained from birth that we must defend the honour of our prophet and we will lay our life on the line."

Amid chants of "Allah hu Akbar", another video appeared to show the manager of Sheffield Cineworld bending to the crowd’s demands and cancelling the screening of the film.

Other protesters were heard shouting "Kafir Kafir Shia Kafir", an Arabic slogan describing Shia Moslems as non-believers.

Journalist and Associate Fellow at the neo-conservative Henry Jackson Society think tank, Wasiq Wasiq claimed that the use of the phrase Kafir against Shia Moslems represented a form of Islamophobia
...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do...
, writing that it "is more than just sectarianism, it is anti-Moslem sectarianism and therefore anti-Moslem hatred."

Wasiq also noted that the use of the phrase has been widely adopted by radical Sunni terrorist groups, including the so-called Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
to target "not only minority sects of Moslems in Iraq and Syria but also their fellow Moslems in the Sunni strand of Islam."

Free speech advocate and Baroness of the House of Lords, Claire Fox described the decision to pull the film as the "creep of extra-parliamentary blasphemy
...the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence to a deity, or sacred objects, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable. Some religions consider it to be a crime. In Pakistain you can commit blasphemy by looking cross-eyed at a Koran...
law".

"Same ’I Find that Offensive’ cancel culture arguments now being used far beyond campus activism. Disastrous for the arts, dangerous for free speech, a lesson to those who argue identity politics are no threat to democracy," Fox wrote.

In an article on Spiked Online, GB News host and political commentator Inaya Folarin Iman laid the blame for the film’s cancellation on the "self-flagellation and cowardice" of cultural elites in Britannia whom she argued are "so beholden to the politics of identity and victimhood that they actually think the Moslem protesters have a point."

"This is a deeply troubling moment for freedom of speech and tolerance in Britannia. If our cultural and politicians cannot be bothered to stand up for these fundamental values, then it is all too likely they will wither away. We can’t let this happen," she urged.

Folarin Iman said that the same cultural rot had been responsible for "empowering" the protests against a British teacher last year who had shown his students a caricature of the Moslem prophet during a lesson on blasphemy, resulting in outrage within the local Islamic community in Batley and Spen.

The grammar school teacher and his family were forced into hiding after local activists leaked his identity, sparking fears that he could fall victim to a Dire Revenge attack, as befell Samuel Paty, a French teacher who was beheaded last year for showing his class a similar caricature of Mohammed.

Kanpur violence: Sec 144 imposed ahead of Friday prayers, security beefed up
[OneIndia] Elaborate security arrangements have been made across the city ahead of Friday prayers and Section 144 of CrPC, which restricts assembly of more than four persons, has been imposed, police officials said on Thursday.

Personnel from Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Quick Response Team have been deployed in Moslem-dominated pockets, a senior police official said.

Violence had erupted in parts of Kanpur after Friday prayers last week between members of two communities over attempts to shut shops in protest against controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad by now-suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.

According to the officials, Kanpur district magistrate Vishak G Ayyar and police commissioner Vijay Singh Meena also held a meeting with religious leaders, including Moslem holy mans and Hindu priests, to take them into confidence. The holy mans and priests have been asked to persuade the members of their respective communities to maintain peace, they said.

It has been decided to make deployment of police personnel on the rooftops of the high-rise buildings and all the subordinates and station heads have been asked to ensure round-the-clock patrolling and take precautionary measures to maintain law and order in their respective jurisdiction, Meena said while elaborating on the arrangements made for Friday.

The route march was carried out in violence-hit areas, including Yateem Khana and Parade, where panic had gripped last week, he added. Meena also urged the people not to take the law into their hands by reacting to rumours on social media having the potential to incite violence.

Stern action will be taken against the rumour-mongers and those who try to disturb the law and order, he said. Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in sensitive areas, the district police chief said, adding that police are keeping a close vigil with drone cameras.

Suspected Islamic State fighter wins court battle to keep his Australian citizenship after the government's power to strip dual nationals of their second passport was ruled invalid
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Judges ruled laws had a 'punitive character' that gave exclusively judicial power

  • Delil Alexander was stripped of his citizenship after suspected terrorist offences

  • The High Court found Alexander's cancelled citizenship was unconstitutional
Two Australians suspected of terrorist activities will have their citizenship reinstated after the High Court found powers used by the government to cancel them were unconstitutional.

Turkish-Australian Delil Alexander, 35, is in jail in Syria after his Australian citizenship was removed on July 2 last year.

The identity of the second person is unknown.

Alexander's lawyers argued the Sydney-born man was in danger of 'serious human rights violations' including torture while imprisoned in Syria.

A majority of the High Court found on Wednesday the citizenship stripping powers legislated by the former coalition government were invalid. The court found it gave the former home affairs minister 'the exclusively judicial function of adjudging and punishing criminal guilt'.

It is understood Alexander and the other person will have their citizenship restored, but the decision will not impact on people held onshore.

Alexander left Australia for Turkey on April 16, 2013, but just over two weeks later he was married in Syria.

ASIO assessed he joined terrorist group Islamic State by August 2013 - a qualified security assessment over which he has sought judicial review.

In November 2017, he was arrested by Kurdish militia in a place in Syria which was not a declared area under Australian terrorist laws.

Alexander was transferred to Syrian custody and given five years in jail for 'unspecified offences under the Syrian Penal Code'. He was pardoned in June last year, having served 18 months of his term.

Shortly after he was pardoned, the ASIO director-general provided classified advice to the then home affairs minister which did not recommend citizenship cancellation, the court heard. However, the minister Karen Andrews stripped Alexander's citizenship in July 2021.

Since then, he has been in Syrian intelligence custody and his family and lawyers have been unable to contact him, leading to his sister Berivan having to launch the legal action as a 'litigation guardian'.

Government lawyers argued the minister met the three required conditions in the decision: a person has engaged in the requisite conduct; the conduct demonstrates the person has repudiated their allegiance to Australia; and it would be contrary to the public interest for them to remain an Australian citizen.

Former attorney-general Christian Porter, in introducing the changes in 2018, argued stripping Australian citizenship of people who sought to do the nation harm was an 'an integral part of our ongoing response to international violent extremism and terrorism'.

Alexander's lawyers argued the power to cancel the status of an Australian citizen is 'inherently a domestic matter' and should be reserved for a judge.

The court heard Alexander retains Turkish citizenship.

Based on
"The court found it gave the former home affairs minister 'the exclusively judicial function of adjudging and punishing criminal guilt'."

It seems to imply the courts wants to be the ruling authority, not some bureaucrat or collection of their minions.

However, I do agree when an immigrant citizen takes up arms against a duly elected government, after having earned and been granted citizenship. That citizenship should be revoked by an independent, unbiased court. They should then be expelled AFTER having served their Prison term.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
War in Ukraine. Summary 06/10/2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] 1. Severodonetsk.
Fighting in the industrial zone of the city. The enemy suffers heavy losses in the battles for the city, data about which even leak into the Ukrainian media. However, the topic of "withdrawal to Lysichansk" continues to be blocked for political reasons. In fact, the fighting in Severodonetsk turned into the grinding of those reserves that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine pushed into the industrial zone.

2. Soledar.
Fighting in the area of Berestovoye and Belogorovka. The enemy is gradually squeezed out of the line, grinding the reserves transferred here from Artemovsk. The Lisichansk-Artemovsk highway is still under the fire control of the RF Armed Forces, however, the supply through Seversk is maintained by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

3. Svetlodarsk.
A small advance at Dolomite. Uglegorskaya TPP and Novoluganskoye are still under the APU. Counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Roty were not successful.

4. Zolotnoye.
Fighting in the area of Vrubovka, Toshkovka and Ustinovka. There is no significant progress, just like on the outskirts of Zolote.

5. Avdievka.
In the industrial zone of Avdievka, in Kamenka and Krasnogorovka, there were no significant changes.

Fighting on the outskirts of New York. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue terrorist shelling of Donetsk and other cities.

6. Izyum.
Kamyshevakha, Kurulka, Dolgenkoye - no changes. Attacks on Krasnopolye and Dolina have not yet led to the capture of these villages.

Fights for the Mother of God.

7. Svyatogorsk.
The troops are clearing the forest to the west of Svyatogorsk, and are also fighting in the Tatyanovka area. There are unconfirmed reports of the capture of Prishib and advance towards Sidorovo. In other areas, the Seversky Donets has not yet been forced. The enemy reinforced the grouping near Seversk and Zakotnoe.

8. Kharkov.
Positional battles on the line Cossack Lopan-Liptsy-Ternovoe-Rubezhnoye.

Local attack attempts from both sides did not significantly change the overall picture. We can note the further intensification of enemy fire damage on the outskirts of Kharkov and in the Sumy region.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing to resume offensive attempts in the direction of Kazachya Lopan and Liptsy.

9. Zaporozhye.
There are no significant advances on the Kamenskoye-Orekhov-Gulyaipole-Velikaya Novoselovka line. The enemy is fortifying positions in the area of Kamenskoye and Orekhov, expecting an attack by the RF Armed Forces on Zaporozhye.

10. Nikolaev.
The RF Armed Forces ousted the remnants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Kinburn Spit and provided the possibility of artillery strikes on Ochakovo, where the enemy suffered losses in the ship composition.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine expect the resumption of active offensive operations of the RF Armed Forces north of Nikolaev, as well as on the Black Sea coast.

In the Davydov Brod area, the enemy has so far gone over to the defensive.
On the Krivoy Rog and Nikopol directions - without significant changes.

Odessa, Marinka, Ugledar - no change.

The coming fate of the British illegal combatants
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

All commentary by Russian military blogger Andrey Chervonets

From the British perspective:

There is a screech in the British press

All the newspapers on Ostrov write about one thing today - the death sentence for foreign mercenaries in the DPR

The head of the British Foreign Office, Liz Truss, called the verdict illegitimate, and the mercenaries themselves were "prisoners of war."

Lisa, it's not for you to judge legitimacy. You hold such a post and are absolutely legally illiterate. Your knowledge of jurisprudence is much worse than your demonstrated knowledge of geography. Legitimacy is the agreement of the people with the government, its voluntary recognition of its right to make binding decisions. Empty-headed, you see, you consider yourself the people of the DPR, since you are challenging the legitimacy of court decisions.

And this trio cannot be prisoners of war. Article 47 of Protocol No. 1 "On International Armed Conflict" to the Geneva Conventions of 1949 directly in the definition of the concept of a mercenary indicates that this person "is not a citizen of a party to the conflict." This is also recognized in the UK. Two weeks ago, the lord, a member of parliament, when asked by an English journalist about the fate of the mercenary captured at Azovstal, answered that he was outside British jurisdiction, because I went to fight myself. And now suddenly the mercenary has turned into a prisoner of war?

If, according to Truss, these mercenaries are prisoners of war, then this means that the UK is officially a party to an armed conflict. Does Ms. Truss understand everything that follows from this fact?

From the American perspective:
Blinken attended to the death sentences for mercenaries in the DPR

The United States is “seriously concerned” by the death sentences that a court in the DPR issued against foreign mercenaries - two British and one Moroccan who participated in the hostilities in the Donbass.

"We call on Russia and the forces it controls to respect international humanitarian law, including the rights and protection afforded to prisoners of war," U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken tweeted, impotently calling the trial “bogus” and the mercenaries, despite all the facts, called "legitimate combatants".

Wow, how the West got up! How to kill innocent millions themselves, so silently, and then, by a court decision, their mercenaries were sentenced - they immediately screamed about justice and laws!

"Exceptional" still believe that for the whole world, only the decisions of only US sham trials are valid. The Yankees played hegemony.

I love to watch the US secretaries of state put on jester hats and throw fools around. Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called the International Criminal Court - the Kangaroo Court, simply because they tried to prosecute some privates and sergeants of the US Army (they killed, just for their own pleasure, many civilians in Afghanistan - children, women, the elderly, but not the Taliban).

The US Congress urgently adopted a law against the ICC, and its judges and investigators were banned from entering the territory of the United States, it was even written into the law that if any of the US military personnel were destined to get there, then the United States was obliged to conduct a military operation (against its own allies in Brussels) for their release.

At the same time, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, by his education and position, cannot but know that the norms of international law on prisoners of war do not apply to mercenaries, and they are judged as ordinary criminals, according to the legislation of the country in which they came to kill people for money. ..

"International humanitarian law (or the law of armed conflict) does not directly prohibit mercenarism, but only says that mercenaries are not combatants and do not have the right to prisoner of war status. This means that a mercenary risks being prosecuted for participating in an armed conflict if captured."

By the way, the investigation and the court investigated this issue and came to the conclusion that all three do not fall under the Geneva Convention. There is evidence in the case file. What kind of prisoners of war and "lawful combatants" does this defective mattress squeal about then?

Firstly, the law allowing foreigners to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was adopted by the Rada only on April 14, and the blockade of Mariupol began on March 1.

And secondly, Article 47 of Protocol No. 1 "On International Armed Conflict" to the Geneva Conventions of 1949 in the definition of the concept of a mercenary indicates that this person "is not a citizen of a party participating in the conflict", and in order to obtain Ukrainian citizenship, one must refuse from anyone else.

Mercenaries in Ukraine, of course, do not do this. So they are not combatants, but mercenaries, and they do not have any protection rights according to the conventions. In general, they can be shot on the spot without trial or investigation.

The same Aiden Aslin is a typical mercenary. Before Ukraine, he fought in Syria and was recruited to the Donbass by a friend. He himself talked about this in one of his interviews. At first, he said that he served mortars, but he has a characteristic sniper tattoo on his left arm and a callus from a trigger on his finger. He was a sniper. These cannot be released.

And in conclusion, I would like to note the following:

All the mercenaries who came to fight against the Donbass should cut down on their noses that when they are hanged, London and Washington will not be able to help them with anything other than deep concern.

Losses of the DPR army from February 18 to June 9, 2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

In the large graphic, the numerals in the first columns are deaths, the second wounded, and the third totals.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

The last I heard, the total number of troops of both Lugansk and Donetsk was around 40,000, Just a guess, that number with recruiting could expand the force by about 10 percent total, FLOT to the rear. Just under 25 percent losses totals.

[ColonelCassad] Data on the losses of the personnel of the DPR:

The result from the beginning of the active phase of hostilities is 2057 dead and 8526 wounded. Total losses for 16 weeks - 10583 people (that is, about 50% of the composition of 1 AK at the beginning of the year).
1 AK is the Donetsk 1st Army Corps
Average daily losses are gradually decreasing over the entire period and are:
- irretrievable - 18.5 daily;
- sanitary - 76 daily;
- general - 94.5 people daily

#1  Russian allegory...
During mating season, male bears attack females with cubs
in order to get to the cub, whom they aim to kill as they look to sexually excite the female, who can't do so when taking care of young offspring

Ah so the "cub" = Ukraine (now killed), the female = the Zelensky regime and the male = Biden and his neo-cons.

And Biden and Zelensky have hurled themselves off a cliff.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Russia lashes Israel as satellite images show ‘disabled' Damascus airport after raid
[IsraelTimes] Moscow condemns ’vicious, provocative’ attacks; both runways in Syrian capital hit three times; Israel has accused Iran of using civilian flights to transfer weapons to Hezbollah

In an unusually bitter condemnation, Russia lashed out at Israel Friday following a pre-dawn strike blamed on Israel at Damascus Airport.

An Israeli satellite intelligence firm published images showing significant damage to the runways, which it said disabled the entire airport.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry on Friday evening condemned the "vicious practice" of Israeli strikes on civilian infrastructure, which it said were "provocative" and "in violation of the basic norms of international law."

Israel frequently targets Iran-tied facilities and convoys in Syria, and relies on a "deconfliction mechanism" agreed with Moscow to avoid direct confrontation with Russian forces there. Israel’s ties with Russia are being strained by the Ukraine conflict, however, and Friday’s bitter comments from Russia about the Syrian strike underlined the rising friction.

Syria’s state media reported that Israeli jets struck targets south of Damascus at around 4:20 a.m on Friday, wounding one person and causing material damage. Hours later, the country’s Transport Ministry announced that it would suspend incoming and outgoing flights at the airport, citing technical disruptions.

Israel made no official comment on the incident.

ImageSat International (ISI) said the strikes "completely disabled" operations at both the airport’s runways. Each runway appeared to have been struck three times.

In separate missile strikes in April and May, other sections of one of the runways were damaged in attacks attributed to Israel. According to ISI, those strikes shortened the length of the runway significantly and prevented large planes from landing.

Friday’s strike "disabled the entire airport until repair," ISI said.

Israel has repeatedly charged Iran with smuggling weapons and missile-improving systems from Tehran to its Lebanese terror proxy Hezbollah using civilian flights via Syria.

Last month, the Israel Defense Forces’ Arabic-language spokesperson alleged that the son-in-law of assassinated Iran Revolutionary Guards Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani was behind such operations.

Avichay Adraee accused Iran and Hezbollah of "endangering civilians" by smuggling the armaments via civilian flights to Damascus International Airport in order "to maintain secrecy."

Israel has staged hundreds of strikes on targets in Syria over the years but rarely acknowledges or discusses such operations. It says it targets bases of Iran-allied militias, such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah group that has fighters deployed in Syria backing Assad’s government forces, as well as arms shipments believed to be bound for various proxies.

Israeli strikes have continued in Syrian airspace, which is largely controlled by Russia, even as ties with Moscow have deteriorated in recent weeks. Israel has found itself at odds with Russia as it has increasingly supported Ukraine while seeking to maintain freedom of movement in Syria’s skies.

Late Monday night, Syrian state media reported that Israeli missiles targeted Syrian army positions south of Damascus, causing damage but no casualties. Also this week, Israeli tanks reportedly shelled a Syrian military position in a demilitarized part of the Golan Heights.

From RIA Novosti:

Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

The Damascus airport runway and lighting were disabled after the strike by the Israeli Air Force, the building of one of the terminals was damaged, the Syrian Ministry of Transport said on Saturday night.

On Friday morning, the Syrian Defense Ministry said Israel fired rockets at a number of targets south of Damascus . Air defense forces are said to have shot down most of the missiles, and one civilian was injured in the Israeli attack. After that, the arrival of flights to the international airport of the Syrian capital Damascus and departures from it were suspended.

"As a result of Israel's aggression, which targeted the Damascus International Airport infrastructure, runways were disabled and significantly damaged in several places, along with navigation lighting," the agency said in a statement, quoted by radio station Shams FM.

The building of the second terminal of the airport was also damaged as a result of the attack.

"At the moment, our specialists are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack and repair what was damaged as a result of the attack. Immediately after the repair and flight safety checks, the operation of the air harbor will be resumed," the ministry said.

Private Syrian airline Cham Wings Airlines said earlier that all of its flights were diverted from Damascus airport to Aleppo in the north of the country.

The Israeli military has repeatedly struck targets in Syria, explaining their actions by the desire to prevent modern weapons from falling into the hands of enemies. First of all, we are talking about the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, which is fighting in the region on the side of Bashar al-Assad and is controlled by Tehran.

Damascus has repeatedly appealed to the UN Security Council with a demand to put pressure on Tel Aviv so that they stop systematically violating Syrian sovereignty.

3rd time's the charm!

Israel targeted on Friday at dawn sites and military posts south of the Syrian capital, Damascus, with missiles.

State News Agency SANA cited a military source as saying, “The Israeli enemy launched at 4.20 am on Friday an aerial aggression from the occupied Syria Golan’s airspace, targeting some post south of Damascus.”

“Army air defenses confronted the aggression and shot down a most of the missiles,” the source added.

As a result, a civilian was wounded and material losses were reported, according to the source cited by SANA.

On Monday, Israel launched a similar airstrike on south of Damascus, only material losses were reported.
And An Nahar:
The airport is located in a region south of Damascus where Iran-backed groups, including Hezbollah, regularly operate.

The vicinity of the facility is favorite target for Israel which has launched 15 aerial attacks on Syria this year alone and regularly accuses Iran of using Damascus airport to send weapons shipments to its allies.

The Observatory said the runway hit in the attack had already been in poor condition before the raids.

The incident only ended after a police sniper shot the 30-year-old suspect, Oscar Alcantara, dead, while he was holding a baby that he had kidnapped.

The dramatic incident occurred in mid-February this year but the videos have only just been released following a public records request by television station KUTV.

The heart of the Hydra: A few words about decision centers
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Pavel Kukhmirov

[RODINANANEVE] Despite a number of successful actions of our army in the Donbass, in general, there is no point in denying that the war has stalled. The forces of Russia and the Kyiv regime have entered into a clinch, and the situation has not changed fundamentally for weeks. And now for months. However, something is still happening. For example, the supply of modern weapons systems to Ukraine from the United States and other NATO countries. For example, more and more "foreign specialists" and other "contractors" enter the territory. For example, the increase in Ukrainian military activity in other areas.

Literally, it has just become known about new incidents in Transnistria , which they are clearly trying to set on fire with completely understandable goals. But this, for now, is still trifles.

The barbaric bombardments of Donetsk, Makeevka, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Snezhnoye, Stakhanov and other cities of Donbass have begun again and are not trifles at all. According to some reports: with the use of the very modern weapons systems supplied by Western countries. And there is nothing surprising here. It's like in Brazilian football: if you don't score, they score for you. Marking time can have no other result. But Ukraine does all this for only one reason: because it can. Question: why can she?

Well, seriously: why? After all, Russia really has an overwhelming technological superiority over it. I will modestly keep silent about mobilization superiority, because it is a topic for a separate and separate discussion. But now it's about something else.

For a very long time, Ukraine has been promised strikes against some “decision-making centers”. Or rather, they promised. Now the promise is gone. As a result, creating in Ukraine a feeling of complete impunity not only for all possible terrorist attacks on Donetsk (and they are precisely terrorist, since they are inflicted on the civilian population), but also on the territory of the Russian Federation itself.

And this is just the beginning: it can be much more fun. This begs the question: why are these same decision-making centers not dealt with the same blows? In response, something unintelligible and unconvincing sounds, from the series "they all have already hidden" and "everything is decided for them in Washington."

No. This is complete nonsense.

Let's start with the fact that initially there was confusion in terminology. Their decision-making centers, perhaps, are in Washington. But the control centers in Ukraine. And they meant just that. Because decisions are made by people, and structures manage. And they were obviously going to “strike” not at incompetent or hostile elites (before that, in Moscow, alas, they had not yet matured all the more), but at the nerve centers of the state system. Here is the correct question. Whoever and wherever "made decisions", but everything is controlled by information and staff culture in any expression. Not only in the military, but also in many others.

And it is precisely on her nerve nodes that striking is absolutely real. And attempts to include "sarcasm" about this, they say, "where are they, these nodes", is completely out of place. These nodes themselves are known, as well as their addresses/passwords/appearances. What are they?

Well, firstly , since we are talking about "centers", then first of all these are data centers that manage large amounts of information. And above all, these are financial centers responsible for banking processing. Hitting them is almost a knockout. The modern state from this will simply begin to disintegrate into fragments. Inflict a couple of pinpoint strikes on the centers of financial and industrial groups in Kyiv and Dnepropetrovsk - the result will already be amazing.

Second , it's a connection. Mobile communications and the Internet of Ukraine still work like clockwork. And now it is precisely on them, in many respects, that even command and control of the troops is carried out (I know - I saw it), not to mention the civilian infrastructure of the state. And here, too, we are talking about data centers and servers of cellular and Internet companies. I'm not talking about state special communications. A blow to them is a blow to the nerve centers, which paralyzes.

Thirdly , information terminals of law enforcement agencies and other government departments. All the same servers and data centers. Hit them and the state administration will shrink, as if having received a blow to the solar plexus.

Well, and fourthly , these are military and civilian headquarters, which, in fact, are also information control centers. There are actually not very many of those. And those key people who are of critical importance in the implementation of management are even fewer. And there is no need to tell, they say, "we have no irreplaceable ones." You don't have it. And in such stories, they are still there. And the conclusion from the equation of each is a critical damage to the controllability of a large and complex system.

That's what they are, these control centers. Suddenly, right? This is the very heart of the hydra, which must be beaten, and not deal with nonsense with chopping off its heads, which instantly grow back.

But if we talk specifically about “decision-making centers” in the true sense of the word (that is, not about structures, but about personalities), then this is also an option. Which has never been neglected neither by the USA, nor by Israel, nor by Europe. Yes, no one at all. Including Russia - for example, in Ichkeria,
...following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the so-called Chechen Republic of Ichkeria evolved into the Al Qaeda-linked Caucasus Emirate, the umbrella group for the jihadi organizations in the North Caucasus...
where a lot of things were decided by means of personal cleansing of the elite of the terrorist quasi-state formation.

Much critical. I see no reason why the Dudaev elite is fundamentally different from the Bandera one. No, I understand that this needs a political decision. Well, I leave to the court of the respected reader the question of why it is not accepted.

Well, and finally . What I said above is no revelation. These are obvious things. But 100 days have already passed of what we are forced to call a “special military operation” (although what is happening has a simpler and more correct name), and this “obvious” has not yet been implemented.

Although much had to be realized already in the first hours of hostilities. Options for answering the legitimate question "why so?" just two. It's either incompetence or bidding. Well, rather, an attempt to conduct these auctions. So to speak, save yourself some room for maneuver. Or to be more precise: the opportunity to pass back.

Only here I will tell you one thing, guys: you do not have such an opportunity. And the sooner you understand (or accept) this, stop playing and start fighting seriously, the less lives will pay for the result.

And it is by no means only about the lives of the residents of Donetsk.

Pavel Kukhmirov is a writer and a former militiaman. He resides in Rostov, Russia.

-Land of the Free
Head of the Leftwing Foreign Policy Influence Shop ‘The Brookings Institution’ Is an Illegal Agent of Qatar, Court Records Allege
Regarding the Christina Pushaw story...
[AceOfSpades] Gee, I wonder why the DOJ would have chosen to leak this story today to a corrupt propaganda paper that carries its water for it.

Might it have leaked this in order to offset the story that General John Allen, a leader at the leftwing, extremely Clinton-aligned Brookings Institution -- essentially an incubator for the Russiagate Conspiracy Theory, as it employed "Primary Sub-Source 1," Igor "Iggy" Danchenko, who will go on trial soon -- is now being investigated for acting as an illegal, undisclosed agent of Qatar?

Dave Reaboi has been screaming about all the DC Swamp Creatures -- especially those allied with the Democrats -- who are paid foreign agents of Qatar, but who are permitted to continue operating without registering under FARA because so many of them are on the take that to start calling out any of them would bring down the entire dirty whorehouse.
At this point Ace posts a screenshot of a tweet I can't find to link to... go to the original post, please. Anyway, continuing...
Dave Reaboi has been making the case that a substantial part of the DC foreign policy Swamp is not-so-secretly on Qatar's payroll for years. He wrote a book about it: Qatar's Shadow War: The Islamist Emirate and its Information Operations in the United States.

Federal prosecutors have obtained records indicating that John R. Allen, the retired four-star Marine general who commanded all American troops in Afghanistan and now heads a venerable Washington think tank, secretly lobbied for the government of Qatar, lied to investigators about his role and tried to withhold evidence sought by a federal subpoena, according to court documents.
The court records are the latest evidence of a broad investigation by the Justice Department and F.B.I. into the influence that wealthy Arab nations like Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia wield in Washington.

The records about General Allen were filed in April in Federal District Court in central California in an application for a warrant to search General Allen's electronic communications.

So yes, I strongly suspect the DOJ leaked the bullshit about Christina Pushaw to offset this major, major scandal about a four start general getting caught acting as a secret agent for Qatar.

Given that half of DC is on Qatar's payroll, I don't know if I'd expect this go any further than Allen. The whole town has a strong personal interest in making this investigation short and laser-focused on a single individual.

Though that might be a little tricky:

Other filings in the case appear to remain sealed, and the public release of the warrant application may have been accidental. The filing lays out evidence that General Allen joined in the secret lobbying plan along with Richard G. Olson, a former United States ambassador to the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, and Imaad Zuberi, a business executive with ties in the Middle East

They accidentally released the warrant application, so they rushed out the leak about Christina Pushaw.

Mr. Zuberi is serving a prison sentence for violating foreign lobbying, campaign finance and tax laws, as well as for obstruction of justice. Mr. Olson has agreed to plead guilty for participating in the Qatari lobbying effort in violation of a prohibition on such activity during the first year after leaving diplomatic service.
I'm tired of formatting and the weather's bad...
Snowy Thing also gives us the American Greatness take:
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stood up for his press secretary, Christina Pushaw Wednesday, after a hit piece in the Washington Post accused her of violating the FARA Act.

"I am not deterred by any smear piece from these legacy media outlets," DeSantis said during a press conference in West Palm Beach. "The only reason they’re attacking her is because she’s doing a great job."

According to the Post, Pushaw belatedly registered this week as a foreign agent of a former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, regarding work she did for the politician between 2018 and 2020. She made the disclosure after being contacted by the Justice Department, her attorney Michael Sherwin said.

"She began her work in 2018 as a volunteer in the post-Soviet country, Sherwin said, and was ultimately paid $25,000 over the course of two years. She received her first payment, of $10,000 in October 2018, in cash, according to her filing. She stayed for free for six weeks in an apartment owned by a Saakashvili associate in Tbilisi, the Georgian capital.

"Her efforts included writing op-eds, reaching out to supporters and officials, and advocating on his behalf in Georgia and in the United States," Sherwin said. "The work ended in 2020. Ms. Pushaw was notified recently by the DOJ that her work on behalf of Mr. Saakashvilli likely required FARA registration. Ms. Pushaw filed for the registration retroactively as soon as she was made aware."

National Security expert David Reaboi, who previously worked for the Embassy of Hungary registered as a foreign agent under FARA, told American Greatness that the story is a "nothingburger."

"Of course, there’s no shame in working for a foreign client, especially one that’s pro-America and aligns with your values," Reaboi said. "What Christina Pushaw did wasn’t improper in any way, and long preceded her work for the Governor in Florida."

He continued: "Christina is by far the sharpest Comms staffer working in politics today—she’s exceptionally good at her job, and she doesn’t suffer fools. It’s no surprise that the leftist media is after her, because she’s made them look more foolish than anyone else. This cheap attack will fail, thankfully."

For her part, Pushaw told Florida’s Voice that "retroactive filing is routine."

"I voluntarily complied as soon as I was notified that I might be required to file," she said. "I have been very open about my past work in Georgia, which ended in 2020 — six months before I came to Florida. This has nothing to do with my work or the governor’s office."

Pushaw pointed out on Twitter that—contra the media narrative—she was working for a leader who was an enemy of Russia President Vladimir Putin.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
From the Russian Perspective: Operation on Denazification of Ukraine: operational summary June 10th (updated)
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[NewsFrontInfo] 21:13 The dismantling of Soviet monuments in Ukraine continues. In the city of Kamenetz-Podolsky, Khmelnytsky region, a monument to Soviet tankmen was removed from the pedestal today.

20:45 "In the Nikolaev region, on the bridge, an exchange of prisoners took place. Four of ours against five Ukrainians. To understand where one of the lines of contact is now," -- Yulia Vityazeva

19:29 Air defense worked over Sevastopol.

18:01 In the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine, the military goes to recreation centers every day and writes summons to the military registration and enlistment office right in the pool.

17:08 After a little digging into the Ukrainian documents about CAESAR 155mm self-propelled artillery mounts, we found something extremely interesting: the used 155mm OGR F1 projectile.

The OGR F1 is a 155 mm cluster munition. The concept of this type of weapon involves breaking the main warhead in the air with the release of dozens of smaller submunitions capable of covering a wide area. In the case of OGR, the bomb breaks into 63 small elements.

Due to the extremely high likelihood of harming civilians, cluster shells were banned as a result of the UN convention in Oslo, developed and approved by 46 states, including France, in 2010. The National Commission for the Destruction of Anti-Personnel Mines (CNEMA), operating under the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 2016 successfully reported on the elimination of all M26 and OGR F1 ammunition.

Thanks to the leaky information security system in Ukraine, it is perfectly clear that the French not only did not destroy the prohibited type of weapons, but also handed it over to Ukrainian servicemen. And those, in turn, "successfully" use them against the civilian population of Donbass.

Well, the icing on the cake: the Armed Forces of Ukraine uses versions of shells with a remote fuse designed to increase the area of destruction of manpower. That is, the Ukrainian armed formations deliberately seek to kill as many civilians in the city as possible. "successfully" use them against the civilian population of Donbass.

16:26 By the decision of the CAA of the city of Berdyansk, in honor of the celebration of the Day of Russia, the following days off and holidays are established:

June 11 - day off

June 12 - holiday - Day of Russia

June 13 - day off

At the same time, the work of the mayor's office of the city of Berdyansk on June 11 and 13 will take place as usual on weekdays.

16:15 Serbia will not join the European Union without recognizing the independence of Kosovo.

This was announced by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Vučić has already stated that Western countries are moving closer to Kosovo in order to provoke Serbia.

The Serbian leader emphasized that he would pursue a sovereign policy and renounce anti-Russian sanctions.

At the same time, support for European integration among Serbs fell to a record low amid pressure on Belgrade from the West.

16:03 Ukraine repeats the mistakes of fascist Germany. Once the Wehrmacht had already burned the Donbass. How much more direct evidence is needed for the international community to see the repetition of mistakes?

Oh yes, for several years they have been stuffing Ukraine with weapons that are directed against the inhabitants of Donbass. But we all remember how the Nazi aggression ended.

14:17 Nazi ideology in Ukraine begins to be instilled from childhood. Nazi ideology has been nurtured in Ukraine for more than one year. From childhood, Russophobia is brought up in children. As adults, they themselves sincerely believe that genocide against the Russian people is normal.

13:35 Lavrov advised Polish President Duda, who compared Putin to Hitler, to learn the history of his country.

"So far, we see that behind the talk about the inadmissibility of dialogue with Russia, Polish colleagues are beginning to actively develop Ukrainian territory," the minister added.

13:20 In Melitopol, the Melitopol Museum of Local Lore was solemnly opened with the Tricolor raised and the Russian anthem. The director of the museum, Yevgeny Gorlachev, noted the need to recreate the expositions about the revolution, the civil war, the 30s of Soviet history, as well as the creation of an exposition dedicated to the liberation of the city during a special operation in the future.

12:37 The Russian Guard detained three accomplices of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. The saboteurs found 17 weapons: hunting carbines, machine guns, pistols, as well as grenades and cartridges. In addition, a laptop with data on the activities of the Ukrainian military was found.

12:20 Now, many have begun to report that Ukraine will now face a cholera epidemic, and then epidemics will start to stick like a snowball.

11:40 Briefing by the Russian Defense Ministry on June 10, 2022

- Aviation equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed at the military airfield of Dnepropetrovsk;
- In the Kharkov region, the production facilities of an enterprise for the restoration of weapons and military equipment were destroyed;
- Air-launched missiles hit 39 targets;
- Air strikes were carried out on 46 objects;
- Two Ukrainian Su-25s and one MiG-29 were shot down over the Kharkiv and Dnepropetrovsk regions;
- Destroyed five Ukrainian UAVs;
- Rocket troops and artillery hit 503 targets.

11:30 The situation in the Nikolaev-Kherson direction as of 11.00 June 10, 2022:

After the failures at the Serpentine
(island)
and the collapse of the defense in the Donbass, the military-political leadership of Ukraine is trying to scratch out a small PR victory at least somewhere. Judging by the number of efforts made and the volume of reinforcements, it was decided to try to recapture the Kherson region, which is preparing by leaps and bounds to join the Russian Federation.

On the eve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an attempt was made to advance between Snigirevka and Davydov Brod: the Ingulets River was tried in several places to force units of the 63rd Ombre of the reserve corps. At the same time, there was an attempt to land a tactical landing: four Mi-8 helicopters took part in the raid, supported by two cover helicopters and tactical aviation.

The reconnaissance of the targets was carried out by the Bayraktar and Leleka UAVs: for several days now, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been reconnoitering the situation on the section of the Davydov Brod - Novaya Kakhovka road.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine did not manage to cross the Ingulets and cross to the other side: they worked out the Solntsepek TOS on the advancing units, and the helicopter landing turned around halfway.

The RF Armed Forces continue to hold a bridgehead on the northern bank of the Ingulets in the Velikoye Artakovo-Belaya Krinitsa sector. The Armed Forces of Ukraine mine the approaches and dig in five kilometers to the north at the Kalinovka-Caucasus line.

At the same time, along the entire line of contact, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to mislead the RF Armed Forces and imitate attacks using smoke screens.

Russian troops are building up forces in the Alexandrovka-Posad-Pokrovskoye section, preparing for an offensive on Luparevo. Despite reports from the field about the activation of the RF Armed Forces, the offensive has not yet begun: artillery preparation is underway.

Therefore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine urgently transferred reserves to Mirnoye, Shevchenkove, Novogrigorovka and Galitsinovo. Up to 300 servicemen arrived with 60 pieces of equipment (judging by internal Ukrainian reports). How combat-ready six dozen pieces of equipment is is a big question.

The Kinburn Spit was completely cleared of the DRG of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: the operation was carried out after the boat group of the Ukrainian Navy in the Dnieper estuary was disabled. The technical condition of the Ukrainian landing ship "Yury Olefirenko" is unknown: it was hit on June 6th, and, apparently, the ship was disabled. Otherwise, the cleansing of the Kinburn Spit would have been impossible.

The section Ochakov - Pervomaisky Island - Kinburn Spit is still partially blocked and mined by old Ukrainian barges.

A full-fledged cleansing of the Kinburn Spit makes it possible to transfer cannon and rocket artillery guns to Vasilyevka and Pokrovka for targeted work on Ochakov.

11:22 The main thing from the new briefing of the Russian Defense Ministry:

The Russian Armed Forces with high-precision missiles destroyed the aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force at the Dnepr airfield;

Rocket troops and artillery destroyed more than 350 nationalists and two Grad rocket launchers;

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed the production facilities of an enterprise for the restoration of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkov region;

Russian air defense systems shot down two Ukrainian aircraft in a day: a Su-25 in the Kharkiv region and a MiG-29 in the Dnepropetrovsk region.

11:14 In Ukraine, a criminal case has been opened against political strategist Mikhail Pogrebinsky, local media write.

He is suspected of high treason and "subversive activities in the information sphere."

10:40 A subversive group of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered the territory of the Bryansk region near the village of Podyvot'e, a battle ensued. After that, the possible location of the Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage group was fired from grenade launchers and howitzers.

In addition, information appeared that at 5 in the morning, residents of another village, Belaya Berezka, heard explosions and saw a column of smoke. According to preliminary data, it was an attempt to shell the border office on the border with Ukraine.

10:30 The borders between the Kherson region and Crimea will be removed, which, among other things, will help the export of grain, said Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region.

10:28 Defense of the city of Ochakov, Mykolaiv region, standing at the exit from the Dnieper-Bug estuary to the Black Sea, was left without ships. Of the two ships of the Ukrainian Navy, one was flooded, the second was withdrawn from the combat area due to the low morale of the crew.

10:21 At night, mortar strikes were inflicted on enemy military facilities in the Sumy region.

09:25 Air raid in Kharkov.

[Twitchy] Rachel Maddow actually ADMITS Trump and his rally had nothing to do with Jan. 6 Capitol breach (no seriously, WATCH)

We have watched this clip of Rachel Maddow several times now, waiting for there to be a punchline or something we’re missing, maybe a follow-up about how Trump is still evil and kicks puppies, starves orphans, etcetera, but no. Granted, this is just a clip, and who knows what she rattled off after dropping this little truth bomb but she said what she said.
I am gobsmacked.
Take a look:

Rachel ... is that really you?

#3  Jan 6 is not the "bombshell" the dems were hoping for. It's unlikely COVID hysteria will be rekindled in time for the November mid-terms. Polls show most Americans are skeptical of USA involvement in Ukraine and don't blame Putin for US inflation and shortages.

They will have to throw some sort of hail Mary before November that is unrelated to those items cited above. They are so screwed.

#7  Its the Chutzpah voter fraud that worries me. I just voted in person in Nevada. Brought in my mail-in ballot (Nevada has gone all-in for mail-in) to a voting site to do in-person voting. There was an elaborate procedure to void my serialized, by name mail-in ballot, and verify my signature, but NOT ask for any form of ID. Then you get a plastic card to insert into a large touch-screen voting machine (not provided with any privacy protection) and select the candidates on the primary ballot. After another fairly tedious review on the screen, you select "print ballot" and the machine whirs a few seconds and tells you to withdraw the card and you are finished. NO PRINTED DOCUMENT appeared. When I asked one of the watching poll workers where the printed ballot was, he explained that "printed" meant it went into the system electronically, not that a ballot was actually printed for deposit by me. The whole process was merely a confabulation to explain I had just voted electronically, and had no proof that the machine correctly mirrored my choices. I admit I'm primed to distrust the system, but this is theater, not secure in-person voting.
Stalin's words came to mind more powerfully than ever. Some faceless IT tech can decide who won if they wish, or get paid to do so.
WE MUST return to voter ID and paper ballot counted manually with bi=partisan poll watchers.

Jan. 6 Bombshell: Schumer team received FBI intel about possible violence, frontline cops didn't
[JustTheNews] FBI intelligence warning that Jan. 6 protesters might violently storm the Capitol, target lawmakers and blockade Democrats in tunnels was never sent to frontline police commanders and officers, but was quietly emailed the night before to a top aide to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, according to documents that raise new concern that politics trumped security preparedness in the fateful hours before the riot.

Capitol Police Deputy Chief Sean Gallagher emailed top Schumer aide Kelly Fado, now the Senate's deputy sergeant of arms, at about 9:40 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2021 saying he wanted to "provide you visibility" to new intelligence that an FBI threat analysis center had received from a website owner, according to documents obtained by Just the News.

The information explicitly warned that demonstrators had detailed maps of the tunnel systems around the Capitol frequented by lawmakers and their staffs and they were plotting to create a "perimeter" for potential violence and to find "Democratic members early to block them from entering the Capitol." One point of entry the rioters were targeting was the Library of Congress, he warned.

"The owner of the website submitted an online tip to the FBI NTOC (National Threat Operations Center) stating that he has noticed a significant uptick in new visitors to his website," Gallagher wrote.
How many of them would be identified as FBI agents provocateur or Antifa if someone actually tracked them down to identify them? Or Russian/Iranian/Chinese/Romanian trolls trying to cause trouble? Because as far as I am aware, none of that happened in real life.
"We have identified numerous open-source comments indicating groups intentions of finding the tunnel entrances and confronting/blocking" members of Congress.

"Additionally," he said, "we have seen a huge uptick with reporting via open source of the groups intentions of forming a perimeter around the campus (indicated in image #5 above) from 0600-1000 hours in order to block all MOC's from getting inside our perimeter to the Buildings with spots identified for direct action."

The Gallagher-Fado email is part of a tranche of documents obtained by Just the News from Capitol Police and congressional sources that show widespread security and intelligence lapses before Jan. 6.

An internal after-action report by the Capitol Police Department identified 53 major failures, while the department's official timeline of the tragedy revealed the Trump Pentagon began offering Congress a deployment of National Guard troops on Jan. 2, 2021, four days before the tragedy, but it was turned down, first by police and later by aides to Pelosi and Schumer.

-Land of the Free
10,000 Reasons Pelosi Is to Blame for Security Failures on Jan. 6
[Townhall] But the facts weren’t out about that day. Many remain undiscovered. And today, to the annoyance of hysterical Democrats hellbent on advancing their theatrical narrative about January 6th, Republicans are raising one looming question that remains overtly (and purposefully) ignored by the Democrats’ Partisan Witch-hunt Committee:

Why did Nancy Pelosi fail to properly protect the Capitol while President Trump, on January 4th, requested 10,000 National Guard Troops be available to provide security to Americans and the United States Capitol on January 6th?

The Left would very much like for you to ignore this question. Its answer fundamentally undermines the January 6th Partisan Witch-hunt Committee’s highly-crafted and theatrically-based storyline about President Trump’s involvement in the events of that day—a theory that was completely rejected by an FBI investigation. If you were planning on "inciting an insurrection," "trying to overthrow the Republic," or "subverting the democratic process," you wouldn’t have asked for 10,000 National Guard troops to protect the institution you were trying to overthrow!

Pelosi’s blunders were not anomalies in her leadership, her errors were systemic. A secret after-action analysis by the Capitol Police identified "fifty-three areas of failure" in Capitol security under Nancy Pelosi’s management.

Article about 53 failures, with a link to a pdf of UPCP report.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Prison tourism makes some uncomfortable
[Marshall Project] Eastern State Penitentiary, a former prison turned museum in Philadelphia, used to lure in visitors every Halloween with an event called "Terror Behind the Walls." The haunted house, with evil doctors, a jailbreak, and zombie inmates jumping out to scare visitors, was one of the museum's most lucrative fundraising events. But starting last year, the museum decided to drop the gore and emphasize the educational. Now the event is more optical illusions, eerie soundtracks, and live performances focused on the museum’s mission of highlighting issues of incarceration.

Museum curators debated the appropriateness of the haunted house over the years. Sean Kelley, Eastern State’s senior vice president and director of interpretation, said he had grown uncomfortable with the use of prison scenes in the haunted house. "I'm amazed at how numb many of us can be about these sites. The whole subject of incarceration is less a source of amusement than it was 10 years ago in America, but there's still like a layer of people thinking that it's funny," he said. "But it’s not funny to us."

Prison tourism often relies heavily on the spooky, the gruesome, and the salacious to attract visitors for a playful afternoon of ducking into cells and taking selfies in striped jumpsuits. But the entire industry, built largely on entertainment at the expense of incarcerated people’s dignity, is grappling with a growing criminal justice reform movement — and the business is being challenged by questions about exploitation and voyeurism.

On the other hand, deaths are a few hundred a day, compared to almost 7,000 in one day, (three weeks after the new POTUS took office).

More importantly, 'serious/critical' has plummeted, falling from 25,000 in late January to 3,100 today. So lifting the requirement is a good step in getting back to normal - the 'new normal'.

This was announced by the chairman of the Lugansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai.

"They have not rebuilt anything in Lugansk for eight years, they are not even trying to restore water or electricity in Popasna and Rubizhne - they are only destroying it. The Russian World is a desert. This is the goal the enemy is trying to achieve. Who was hindered by the Ice Palace , or the ammonia production shop at Azot - one of the main divisions of the enterprise? Saved thousands of people from the hope of a job," Gaidai said.

He also noted that the fighting in Severodonetsk continues. As well as in the settlements of the Gorskaya and Popasnyanskaya communities.

"Thus, the Russians tried to conduct assault operations in the direction of Nyrkove and Nikolaevka. Ukrainian soldiers inflicted a fire defeat on them - the invaders withdrew with losses. True, nine more houses were destroyed there," Gaidai said.

He added that the Russian assault was also repulsed on the northwestern outskirts of Toshkovka.

Also recorded were the destruction of 15 houses in Orekhovy, six in Vrubovka, four in Lisichansk, and four more in Gorsky. Serious destruction was suffered by the village of Sinetsky on the outskirts of Severodonetsk.

In addition, according to him, air defense units shot down five unmanned aerial vehicles of the Orlan-10 type.

Note, Gaidai believes that there is no threat of encirclement of the Ukrainian military in Severodonetsk.

[Korrespondent] 23:56 Zelensky said in an evening video message that the Cabinet of Ministers has already begun implementing the decisions that were discussed at meetings this week. In particular, a draft law was agreed that allows customs clearance of a car through a public service in Dії - this will make the entire customs clearance process as transparent and convenient as possible and immediately remove all shadow schemes.

We believe that the Kremlin is waiting for the moment to annex the Kherson region to Russia, and we believe that the referendum is one of possible ways."

Moment Chicago commuter, 20, leaps onto subway tracks to rescue man who had fallen onto electrified third rail after a brawl and pulled him to safety: 'I could feel the shocks through my body but it didn't stop me'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Do you have what it takes?
  • Anthony Perry, 20, was stepping off of a train when he saw the man lying with his head against the third rail and 600 volts of electricity coursing through his body

  • Perry acted immediately, and despite being shocked himself, managed to pull the man to safety

  • With the help of a witness, Perry was able to administer CPR and keep the man alive until emergency services arrived

  • The man who was electrocuted is in serious condition at the University of Chicago Hospital

  • Police are investigating what led to the man falling on to the tracks with witnesses alleging he spat on another commuter and instigated the fight

  • A local Chicago community leader honored Perry at a ceremony on Wednesday and even gifted him a car

  • Perry said of the other witnesses to the potentially fatal incident: 'No one actually did anything, they just wanted to record'

Inflation surges to new 41-year high of 8.6%: Groceries jump 12% and gasoline soars 49% as rising prices cause misery for consumers
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Biden finally admits inflation is 'not coming down as quickly as needed'

  • The consumer price index rose 8.6% on May from a year ago, the fastest increase since December 1981

  • Increase was larger than economists expected and topped the recent peak set in March

  • Soaring food and energy prices drove the increase, with groceries up 11.9% and gasoline rising 48.7%

  • But core inflation, excluding food and energy, was also higher than expected at 6% annual rate

  • It is the strongest signal yet that inflation has not yet peaked, as Biden previously claimed

  • On Friday Biden plans to speak at the Port of Los Angeles to highlight supply chain initiatives

Yemeni city of Dhalea on high alert as conflict between southern separatists and Al-Qaeda escalates
by Emad Almarshahi

[HODHODYEMENNEWS] The southern Yemeni city of Dhalea has witnessed a security alert after al-Qaeda members kidnapped the brother of a leader in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias in the province.

Sources said that al-Qaeda operatives kidnapped the brother of the commander of the 1st Battalion of the 1st Brigade of the so –called “Southern Resistance”, Munir Saif, in retaliation to the killing of al-Qaeda leader Amjad al-Naqis.

Al-Qaeda accuses Saif of being behind the murder of al-Naqis, especially since his battalion is based in the area where his body was found, one of the sources said.

The source noted the al-Qaeda terrorist organisation vowed to conduct retaliatory attacks against the UAE-backed militia commanders in Dhalea.

Following al-Qaeda threat, the STC raised the alert status, doubling their guards and armoured vehicles in the area.

Geico STD lawsuit: Company ordered to pay $5.2M in settlement with woman
[FoxBusiness] A woman in Missouri won $5.2 million in a settlement with Geico after she contracted a sexually transmitted disease.

The woman said she contracted Human papillomavirus (HPV) while having sexual intercourse inside a vehicle insured by Geico, and the company quickly found a petition for payout from the unnamed woman.

She alleged that because her partner failed to take proper precautions and infected her inside the insured car, her HPV infection should be covered by the policy.

The petition was filed in February 2021, and subsequently rejected by April of the same year. After a final settlement offer of $1 million was rejected by Geico, the dispute went to arbitration.

An arbitrator with the Jackson County Circuit Court found in favor of the woman, recommending a $5.2 million payout from Geico.

The Missouri Court of Appeals deferred to the arbitrator and refused to overturn the previous findings.

"At the time of Geico's intervention, liability and damages had been determined by an arbitrator and confirmed by the trial court. GEICO had no right to relitigate those issues," the court wrote.

The court wrote in its decision that Geico may have been able to avoid the payout if they had defended the woman's sexual partner – the owner of the insured car.

Instead, because they chose to deny coverage, their path of legal recourse was compromised.

Besides, I did not read where it was forced sex, or she demanded he use a condom. Or the vehicle was moving or caused the HPV.

'It seems now it's our turn to get our lands back': Smirking Putin threatens Sweden and compares himself to tyrant Peter The Great while issuing chilling threat to Scandinavia
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] “Après moi, le déluge.” And perhaps it won’t wait that long.
  • Vladimir Putin compared himself to Peter the Great in speech to mark 350 years since the birth of the man who founded the Russian Empire

  • He said Peter's wars against the Swedish Empire were not conflicts of conquest, but were in fact 'taking back' territory that was historically Russian

  • Referencing the Battle of Narva in what is modern-day Estonia, he said it has fallen to him to also 'take back and strengthen' historic Russian lands

  • Speech will be viewed as a chilling threat to Baltic States, Sweden and Finland

#5  More lies and ludicrous bullshit from British tabloids aimed at gullible fools who think Russia's still communist.

There is absolutely nothing in the speech that constitutes a "threat," to Sweden or any other nation.

In fact the speech and the Q&A session from which this offhand remark was lifted had nothing at all to do with relations between Russia and the Baltic. It was all about advanced technology development and trade relations with world beyond Europe. The meeting was with young scientists, engineers and technology entrepreneurs, and the questions were about materials science, fiber optics, trade and export opportunities etc.

The particular remark about territory capped a long discussion about the sources of national strength -- technological, military, economic and socio-cultural. Most of it was obvious but European and American leaders who welcome in millions of illiterate, violent, and anti-Semitic third world migrants would do well to ponder these sensible observations.

The English language transcript is here.

Of course the speech would deal with Peter the Great: it took place in Peter's gorgeous city, the most beautiful city north of Venice, in advance of the annual St Petersburg Economic Forum and inside a famous hall in Moscow which contains exhibits dedicated to the extraordinary achievements of this leader.

Peter was a kind of hybrid of Elon Musk and Charlemagne who mastered many of the great technologies of his era. An accurate report of the speech and Q&A session with these young technologists would have highlighted Tsar Peter's concern with technology -- in his day, the emphasis was on shipbuilding, which he learned about by disguising himself as an ordinary worker and apprenticing himself as a carpenter to try to master the craft (and learn the secrets) of Dutch shipbuilding from the ground up.

Here is a fine 3-part Radio Netherlands overview, beginning with "The Carpenter Tsar": how, during his visits to Holland, Peter studied ship-building, city-planning, hydraulic engineering, science, dentistry, anatomy, fortress building and even fashion. And all this resulted in a radical transformation of Russia and Russians, a modern navy and a magnificent new capital Saint Petersburg, complete with canals.

#7  ^ thank you, Timmerman. That's an amazing story.

Peter's 21st century successor is focused on development of hypersonic missiles, which he highlighted in his speech to the young technologists. It's no mystery why the shit tabloids and the British intelligence services try to detract people from this conference and this speech about Russian technology, trade ties with China and the other BRICs, military strength etc. Russia's current leader's understanding of science, technology and economics dwarfs that of any American or European leader (aside from Angela Merkel) of the last 80 years. Hence all the ridiculous bullshit about his declining health.

Here is a video of him speaking. Compare this precise, clear and confident speaker to the blithering of Joseph R. Scheisskopf Jr. and ask yourself again which country's leader is mentally decrepit.

Ukraine Slams Biden's Comments on Zelensky Not Heeding Warnings—'Absurd'

Posted by: Black Bart || 06/11/2022 15:39 Comments || Top||

#31  Who's lying? Surely not Honest Joe. Right??

Aides to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have responded to Joe Biden's comment that the Ukrainian president "didn't want to hear" American warnings before Russia's invasion.

Speaking at a Democratic Party fundraiser in Los Angeles on Friday, the president said, "I know a lot of people thought I was maybe exaggerating and Zelensky didn't want to hear it," Biden added.

Zelensky's spokesman Sergei Nikiforov said the Ukrainian leader had "three or four telephone conversations" with Biden before the war started, during which they discussed assessments of the situation in detail.

Nikiforov told Russian-language Ukrainian news outlet LIGA.net, "If you remember, the president of Ukraine called on partners to introduce a package of preventive sanctions in order to encourage Russia to withdraw troops and de-escalate the situation. Here we can already say that our partners 'did not want to hear us,'" Nikiforov said.

Meanwhile, Zelensky's adviser Mikhail Podolyak told the same news outlet that Biden's comments were "not entirely true" and that Kyiv had been "well aware that Russia was developing various expansion scenarios."

Well, they've been telling us for the last three months or so continuously how they were going to cut the country in two and cut off all the Ukrainian soldiers in the west, and now they're degenerating into WW1-style large scale infantry/artillery battles in Severodonesk at the tip of the supposedly to-be-cut-off area.

Or so they said when they gave up on trying to take Kiev.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Cossack general: The Cossacks are determined to win - good over evil
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
Once again the propagandist forgot “Shoulder to shoulder into the great Soviet Russian future,” but otherwise he hit so many notes it’s like a full orchestra playing Tchaikovsky.
[REGNUM] The Cossacks have always been a reliable stronghold of Russian statehood, but the genocide of decossacks and 70 years of Soviet power have weakened the Cossack gene pool. The revival of the Cossack troops in modern Russia on the basis of a serious comprehensive state program, obviously, strengthened the borders of modern Russia, making them strong and safe. This is proved by the Cossacks not in word, but in deed - freeing the territories of Donbass and Ukraine from Ukrainian nationalists. The ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society (VsKO) Nikolai Doluda drew attention to this .
The public position he is required to take. One wonders what he thinks in private.
No wonder the people say: "As long as the Cossack is alive - Russia is alive." Historically, it so happened that the fate of the Cossacks is inextricably linked with the fate of Russia, because the Cossacks are Russia, the Cossack general is sure. Knowledge and understanding of history, those events that hardened and made Russia stronger, helped the country in the dashing 90s, years of stagnation, not to lose its bearings.

"The Cossacks are a unique phenomenon in Russian history. In no country in Europe did the tradition of chivalry revive, because it did not have a folk background. They were knighted for faithful service to their master. At its core, the Cossacks in Russia are a phenomenon of the spiritual life of the Russian people. It arose by the will of the people. According to Gogol, 'the Cossacks are a spark carved from the chest of the Russian people by blows of misfortune.'"

In the 18th century, under Peter I, the Cossacks became a service class. The Cossacks are the heart of the Russian world, the backbone of Russia, which today is building up and strengthening its muscle," Doluda noted.
And Kiev is the heart of Russia, the original Rus. Therefore it is necessary that Russia again own it, if necessary clearing the aboriginal people away to accomplish the great deed.
Returning to history, the Cossack general recalled that the Don and Zaporozhye Cossacks, of their own free will, in 1642 took the Turkish fortress of Azov and asked Tsar Mikhail Romanov to include it in Russia .

"The Cossacks were called the knights of the wild field, the steppe knights of Russia. The main thing in the Cossacks is the male will, courage and readiness to give life for the Motherland. The genocide of decossackization and 70 years of Soviet power weakened the Cossack gene pool.

"And today in the Cossacks, unfortunately, there are not only grains, but also tares ... Grains are real Cossacks who fought in Transnistria, Abkhazia, Crimea, who today protect the people of Donbass from neo-fascist wickedness. Who invests their professionalism and mental strength in the education of the younger generation in Cossack kindergartens, schools, cadet corps, universities. The strong-willed spiritual core of the Cossacks was not broken by the events of decossackization, the civil war. <...> The Cossacks did not settle accounts with Soviet Russia. Because the Fatherland for the Cossack is a sacred concept," the ataman of the East Kazakhstan region emphasized.

Doluda drew attention to how the Cossacks courageously overcome difficulties, excluding from their ranks random people who joined the ranks of the Cossacks for their own benefit. Their strength of character and will manifest themselves in many situations.

"A real Cossack is distinguished by an irresistible will to live, which cannot be banned, closed, turned back. If the Cossack got up and moved, he could not be stopped. The origins of the Cossack strength is that the Cossacks are determined to win - good over evil. The Cossacks win anyway. Even at the cost of life."

Because from the moment of birth, the Cossack knew that his life did not belong to him, but to God and the Fatherland. Cossacks compare everything good and bad with the commandments, lay down their lives for the faith of their ancestors, for the land on which the graves of their fathers, for their wives and children. Therefore, the church ranks the Cossacks with the army of Christ. By good will, the Cossacks bear the burden of responsibility for the fate of the Fatherland. The modern Cossack, perhaps, is not churched enough. But he works with his heart, tries to live in harmony with God. This is the truth of Cossack life at all times," said the ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society.

In this direction, the Cossacks also educate the Cossack youth.

Nikolai Doluda notes that today Russia is returning to itself, to its historical values. And the Cossacks have something to offer. This is both the experience of Cossack democracy and the continuous system of Cossack education, based on continuity, mentoring and spiritual and moral priorities of duty, honor, love for the Motherland, multiplication of cultural and historical traditions, respect for elders.

"A thousand volunteer Cossacks holding the defense in the Crimea in 2014 on Chongar, Perekop, Turkish Val, more than five thousand Cossacks as part of the Kuban, Don, Tavrida, Yermak Cossack units, who are fighting in the Donbass with neo-Nazis - demonstrate the experience of high self-organization. The named Cossack units numbering 250, 300, 400 people were assembled, equipped and crossed the combat zone within 10-12 days," said the Cossack general.

Speaking about the return to the historical experience of the chief atamans of military societies, Doluda again pointed to historical experience. Even Peter I appointed Peter Romazanov as the first ataman . In this position, he remained permanently. There were chieftains on the Don, Kuban, Terek, Orenburg. And this is a historical tradition for the Cossack troops of Russia.

Mykola Doluda is sure that today the tasks of organizing public service, developing the Cossack economy, forming Cossack military units, opening new Cossack schools, cadet corps, developing the Cossack component in universities can only be solved by the ataman, endowed with state powers.

As expected, the chief chieftains of military Cossack societies will be appointed by decree of the President of the Russian Federation on the proposal of the chieftain of the All-Russian Cossack Society and the approval of the Council under the President of Russia, the Federal Agency for Nationalities of Russia. At the same time, the chieftains of all other levels must preserve electivity as the basic principle of Cossack democracy.

In order to prepare a personnel reserve, a system of continuous Cossack education has been built - from kindergarten to university. Work on professional retraining of representatives of the Cossack societies is carried out in several universities in Russia.

"The Cossacks are the foundation of a united, changing Russia. It builds its development in accordance with the tasks defined by the Strategy of the State Policy of the Russian Federation towards the Russian Cossacks until 2030. This is a strategic planning document in the field of Russian national security. In a word, in the context of today's events in Ukraine, the number one task for the Cossacks is to participate in the formation of the country's mobilization human reserve, to promote national security in all spheres of public life," Mykola Doluda concluded.

As the direct descendent of Zaparozhian hetmen I can attest that that last bit is .... not quite how things happened. But whatever - go for it.

This will resonate with some young Russian men who have been looking for purpose and identity. Cossack martial arts training camps have attracted some of them, for understandable reasons in a country with high drug abuse rates and shockingly low lifespan expectations of late.

No wonder Russians drink themselves to death. Their leadership offers them no future beyond endless war.

Government Corruption
Watchdog suit forces DOJ to release memo declining criminal prosecution of Ashli Babbitt's shooter
[JustTheNews] Babbitt, an unarmed 14-year veteran of the Air Force, was fatally shot by USCP Lt. Michael Byrd on Jan 6, 2021.

Legal watchdog group Judicial Watch says it has received 102 pages of new Justice Department records related to the fatal shooting of Jan. 6 protester Ashli Babbitt.

Included in the documents is a memo recommending that the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia "decline for criminal prosecution" the fatal shooting of Babbitt.

The documents also state U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd, the shooter, "did not create a police report or documents" related to the incident.

Babbitt, an unarmed 14-year veteran of the Air Force, was fatally shot and she attempted to climb through a broken window and into the lobby of the House chamber during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Congress and the Justice Department did not reveal the identity of the shooter until about eight months after the riot – until Byrd was ready to go public himself and defend his actions.

Judicial Watch filed its lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia after the Executive Office for United States Attorneys, the Civil Rights Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigation would not provide the requested records following two Freedom of Information Act requests from the organization.

The memo recommending not to prosecute Byrd justifies that decision, "based on a review of law enforcement and civilian eyewitness accounts, physical evidence, recorded radio communications, cell phone footage, [Metropolitan Police Department] reports, forensic reports, and the autopsy report" for Babbitt.

The memo also states that "after a thorough review of the facts and circumstances in this case, there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Lieutenant Byrd violated [Babbitts'] civil rights by willfully using more force than was reasonably necessary, or was not acting in self-defense or the defense of others."

The report also sets out the federal government's timeline of events: "Once the demonstrators broke the glass, Lieutenant Byrd took up a tactical position to the immediate right of the barricaded entry doors, [Capitol Police Officer Reggie Tyson] took up a tactical position behind Lieutenant Byrd on the right side behind the third pillar and Sergeant McKenna took up a tactical position behind Officer Tyson and behind the fourth pillar on the right side of the Speakers Lobby."

The memo also states that officers repeatedly instructed the "mob" to stand back, a request protesters ignored while continuing to break the glass on the doors to the lobby.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton says that the department memo suggests that Byrd was given "special treatment by the Biden DOJ and that there was a miscarriage of justice in the half-baked shooting death investigation of Ashli Babbitt."

He also said "Lt. Byrd, who works for Congress, shot an unarmed woman for no good reason. I suspect that this unjustified shooting isn’t of much interest to the Pelosi rump January 6 committee."

#1  The notion this is all water under the bridge and will create no repercussions is probably wishful thinking on the part of some, understandable cynicism on the part of others.

There may not be a reckoning for this specific misdeed, but it will be somewhere there under the straw that finally breaks the camel's back.

Government Corruption
Top People at NIH Getting Big Bucks From Secret Royalty Checks
[ET] Paywall busted
Recipients of secret royalty payments who hold key roles at the National Institutes for Health (NIH) have been revealed by nonprofit government watchdog Open the Books.

Through the federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Open the Books has discovered that payments totaling more than $134 million were paid to more than 1,600 NIH executives, scientists, and researchers by outside firms, thought to be primarily from the pharmaceutical industry, between 2010 and 2014.

Royalty payments also went to at least three of the top echelon of NIH leaders, including Dr. Francis Collins, the immediate past director of NIH, who got 14 payments. Dr. Anthony Fauci received 23 payments and his deputy, Clifford Lane, received eight payments.

"When an NIH employee makes a discovery in their official capacity, the NIH owns the rights to any resulting patent. These patents are then licensed for commercial use to companies that could use them to bring products to market.
So what "rights" does the NIH retain, having given away the monetary rights?
"Employees are listed as inventors on the patents and receive a share of the royalties obtained through any licensing, or ’technology transfer,’ of their inventions. Essentially, taxpayer money funding NIH research benefits researchers employed by NIH because they are listed as patent inventors and therefore receive royalty payments from licensees."
But the NIH has 'safeguards', to prevent conflicts of interest, it says somewhere in the middle of the long article, so it's no big deal. Unexpectedly.

Because the specific cash flow to recipients we are expected to trust him that he is actually donating the cash. Americans are short on Fauci trust at the moment.
