During a press conference earlier this week, Del Rio said "Why are we not looking into those things? If we're going to talk about it, why are we not looking into those things?...I see the images on TV. People's livelihoods are being destroyed. Businesses are being burned down — no problem. And then we have a dust-up at the Capitol, nothing burned down, and we're going to make that a major deal." Perhaps 'dust-up' infuriated the official narrative.

Del Rio is a straight-up guy, but discovered he should consider the context of being at a company presser in a company uniform, with a paranoid head coach and owner. Snyder is under serious pressure by the NFL to lose control of the "Redskins", (I'm a native Washingtonian and will never think of shaming the team with that doofus name, I had season tickets for a brief time at RFK Stadium and watched the Skins beat Miami in the Rose Bowl in person), so Jack got smacked hard to keep his boss out of more trouble. If it was a football-related press conference, I can see team management being annoyed that he brought up politics. If he was answering a direct question on the subject, though, or responding to something another of the speakers said, that’s different.
[Townhall] Unless you’re visiting a medical facility still taken in by the mask-cult or you live in a big city or some obscure California county run by hypochondriac Democrat whack-jobs, you’re probably generally living your life without being forced to wear a useless, bacteria-laden piece of t-shirt material over your face. However, if your overlords have gone out of their way to clarify that mask mandates have only been lifted because Covid rates have gone down or even that recent iterations of the virus have become less deadly, they are purposefully missing the overall picture and slyly holding on to the pretext that will invite the insanity back at any point - that masks "work" to stop or curb the spread of highly contagious respiratory viruses.
A University of Louisville study released in May 2022 found that mask mandates and greater compliance resulting from them "did not predict lower growth rates when community spread was low (minima) or high (maxima)." The study, which used CDC data across several seasons, found that mask usage and mandates "are not associated with lower SARS-CoV-2 spread among US states."
Remember that CDC study purporting to show that school masking was effective? Did you wonder what the results would have been if someone had conducted a higher quality study over a greater sample size and period of time? Ambarish Chandra of University of Toronto and Dr. Tracy Hoeg of University of California, Davis did exactly that with this Lancet study titled, "Revisiting Pediatric COVID-19 Cases in Counties With and Without School Mask Requirements—United States, July 1—October 20 2021." Their results: "... no significant relationship between mask mandates and case rates." Color me shocked.

[NYPOST] Rep. Sean Casten’s 17-year-old daughter Gwen Casten died Monday morning, his office has announced.
The Illinois Democrat’s office released a short statement saying the teen passed away but did not provide any further details.
"This morning, Congressman Casten’s beloved daughter, Gwen (17), passed away," Casten’s office said. "The Casten family requests privacy, and we will be issuing no further comment during this heartbreaking time."
Gwen died inside the family’s Downers Grove home, the Chicago Tribune reported, citing local police.
Downers Grove police were called to respond to a report of an "unresponsive" 17-year-old girl at a home on the block where Casten lives just before 7 a.m. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the outlet.
Gwen was following in the footsteps of her father and fighting for social causes she cared about, her social media shows.

Why does this whole episode seem to be some form of theater?
A bunch of geared-up guys tucked in a U-Haul (you know, like a big orange troop carrier)? 10-15 SUVs or pickup trucks would fit better into the normal area traffic (w/ GMRS or CB coordination), and could find a place to park easier.
'Death Threats' to officials (which seems more like what the left does, especially teacher's union and antifart folks)? Did somebody's Mom call and say 'God will punish you' (to which our very thin-skinned recipients suffered the vapors)?

Curious location given the history of the area. Hayden Lake is a suburb of CDA and has a history deeply embedded in the FBI memory. More than any place in the US, locals have a sensitivity to the whole idea of "White Supremacy". Almost like the spot was selected to tap into that for the media to discover that in the memory hole. Alas, it's about to get even lower, because a simple back of the envelope calculation reveals that the jump in mortgage rates from 3.25% to 6.13% means that new homebuyers face an average monthly payment on a typical new $350,000 mortgage (the median existing home sale price is just under $400K) that has gone up from $1523 to $2128, a 40% increase in 6 months!
Another way of putting this: at a 6.13% mortgage (and rates will still keep rising for a long time with the Fed now set to hike between 125bps and 150bps in the next two months), the average home price needs to fall 30% to reach pre-covid affordability.
Whether it was intended or not, the Fed is about to unleash the biggest housing crisis since the bursting of the 2007 bubble. It also means that in a few weeks, the Fed's scramble to undo the damage it has done to the US economy will make March 2020 seems like a walk in the park.

Checked yesterday,
ReFi'ing the house for the same original loan amount, to pay our non-covered C-19 insurance medical/hospital bills.
Note: The house is appraised at $45K+ more now than 4 years ago. So with our extra monthly principal payments etc., we have well over a 40% owner equality.
A ReFi for the same loan amount was around $200 more a month.

Whittington looks like a typical American teenage boy, and in Fox News’ video, you see Whittington tossing the football with Dad and dressing like a stylish teenage boy. The problem with all of it is that Whittington isn’t a boy — Whittington is a girl who identifies as a boy, and her parents have gone along with the charade.
According to the Whittington family, Ryland indicated that she was really a boy before she could even speak.
"I could see it. It wasn’t him trying to be a brat. It was like painful. It was painful for him to have to wear feminine clothing and for us constantly telling him that you are a girl," Hillary Whittington said.
I know that conservatives are not monolithic and that Fox News has done a lot of good over the years, but this is just beyond the pale.
Fox News’ Bryan Llenas wrapped up the segment by gushing to Dana Perino—who, in fairness, looked like she was filming a hostage video—"What extraordinary courage displayed by Ryland, his sister Brinley, father, Jeff, and mom, Hillary. During a security operation on Monday, special units of the Syrian Democratic Forces arrested a leader of a security cell of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, a governorate east Syria.
A military source told North Press that the operation was carried out based on aerial and ground support from the US-led Global Coalition. The operation resulted in the arrest of the leader in Ruwaished badia in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The cell of the leader is responsible for transferring information, identifying goals, planning and putting methods to implement hard-line attacks against security, military and service targets in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor and other areas northeast Syria, according to the source.
During the process of checking, the units found and confiscated weapons, equipment, documents and military clothes the leader owned.
On Sunday, the SDF disclosed that its special units, in cooperation with the Global Coalition, captured a funding cell affiliated with the ISIS in the town of al-Hawl east of Hasakah.
Residents of northeast Syria voice concern over the ISIS activities in an attempt to reorganize itself in light of successive Turkish threats to invade the region.

Several Israelis visiting Istanbul were reportedly whisked out of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... last week by Israeli security officials, who were acting on intelligence showing that the visitors were at immediate risk from Iranian assassins.
One woman out visiting a market got a call from a senior Israeli official telling her to not return to her hotel because Iranian assassins were waiting there for her and her spouse, Channel 13 reported Monday.
Instead, a caravan with some 10 Israeli security officers took the couple to the airport, leaving their stuff in the hotel, and then to Israel, where they were probed for clues about the plot against them, the network said.
No further details about the couple were revealed, including whether they were individually targeted for a specific reason or if they were only threatened due to being Israeli. It also was not clear how many people were contacted and told to leave immediately.
According to Channel 13, the government waited until Monday to warn the rest of the public about the imminent threat against Israelis in Turkey out of consideration for local authorities there, who wanted time to deal with the situation. Separately, the Ynet news site reported on Monday that Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) recently arrested Iranian agents who were planning on carrying out a shooting and kidnapping attack against Israeli tourists in Turkey.
The report did not cite a source, but an Israeli security official told Rooters that Turkey has arrested several people suspected of being operatives of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Ynet said there may be additional Iranian agents on the lam and that authorities’ pursuit of them has not ended.
Ottoman Turkish officials and the Iranian embassy in Ankara did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Israel’s National Security Council on Monday raised the warning for Istanbul to level 4, the highest, meaning Israelis are explicitly told not to visit an area and to leave if they are already there. Countries with the level 4 "high threat" warning include Iraq, Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. Channel 12 said Monday evening that "there are still Iranian cells in the area" and "ongoing cooperation between the Mossad and the Ottoman Turkish [security agencies], impressive cooperation, to thwart this series of [potential] attacks." The unsourced report also said there had been an unspecified number of arrests.
The National Security Council revised its travel warning for Turkey last month to level 3, saying there was a concrete threat to Israelis from "Iranian terrorist operatives" there and in nearby countries.
That warning followed the liquidation of a senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Col. Hassan Sayyad Khodaei, which Iran blamed on Israel.

Briefly, on the official recognition of Deputy Prime Minister Borisov on the topic that the army is not properly provided with UAVs. Despite all the sarcasm about the recognition of an obvious fact, it is worth noting that official recognition is an important step towards solving the problem.
Just as after the Olympic War, the lack of normal reconnaissance UAVs was recognized as a significant problem, which played an important role in the subsequent development of the industry and the emergence of those UAVs that worked in subsequent conflicts.
The problem, at the current stage, seems to be that the Russian Federation has a whole zoo of various models of drones - reconnaissance, strike, kamikaze, but their total number for the current tasks of the front is obviously not enough. The problem is in quantity, not quality. Uvalde must have lawyered up with council that is encouraging them to resist culpability due to their gross negligence and reckless disregard of fulfilling their lawful responsibilities as police during a mass shooting. In other words they are still being irresponsible to the extreme.

I would still like to know how and where the kid got $10k worth of kit and weapons on 20 hours a week of Taco Bell paychecks. Based on his inability to drive down a straight road he could not have had even a learner’s permit. The guns are serialized and gun records are tracked. Those are the records that I want to know about. Arrendondo is a police chief in a drug corridor; I would be more interested in his financial records as opposed to his training resume.

Border Security Force (BSF) engaged armed infiltrators in a brief gunfight and thwarted their attempt to sneak into this side from across the International Border (IB) here, a spokesperson of the border guarding force said on Monday.
The incident occurred in Arnia sector around 9.30 pm on Sunday when alert BSF troops observed suspicious movement close to the IB, the spokesman said.

Three suspects were arrested for allegedly leaking classified military information on social media, security officials announced Monday.
According to a joint statement from the Israel Defense Forces, Shin Bet security agency and Israel Police, two civilians and one conscripted soldier have been in jug since May 24 over social media posts that apparently contained classified information. The two civilians were indicted on Monday morning at the Lod District Court, while the soldier is to be charged in a military court.
The suspects were accused of working together to release the information to gain credibility or popularity on the internet, and had not been pressured by a bad actor nor acted for monetary gain, according to authorities.

[NYPOST] San Franciscans disgusted with rampant lawlessness showed pro-perp District Attorney Chesa Boudin the door last week in a landslide recall election. Yet New Yorkers fed up with soft-on-crime Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, will have to wait until 2026 to be rid of him — or replace Gov. Kathy Hochul with someone who’s got the guts to oust him sooner.
New York law doesn’t allow for recall votes; only the gov can oust DAs for failing to do their job.
Yet Bragg made clear from the start that he’d put the interests of criminals first: His "Day 1 Memo" outlined all the crimes he’d refuse to prosecute and sentences he’d refuse to seek, even for felons. That drew such outrage that he backtracked — but only slightly. Since then, he’s pursued his top goal, freeing perps, with gusto:
In January, he initially refused cops’ request for a no-knock warrant, preferring they risk their lives by knocking first to collar dangerous ex-con Jaime Brown for armed robbery. Only days earlier, two NYPD officers were fatally shot in the line of duty. Police eventually got the no-knock warrant, though the delay kept Brown free meanwhile. And when he was nabbed, they recovered a loaded 9mm handgun he could’ve used on them had they been forced to knock first.
Another warrant case ended worse: Detectives union boss Paul DiGiacomo said Bragg rebuffed requests for a warrant for the gun used by Tyrell Rodgers (23 priors) in an armed robbery. In March, Rodgers allegedly used that very gun to fatally kill another man.
In January, cops charged Christian Hall with third-degree robbery for allegedly shoplifting and threatening workers with a scissors at a TJ Maxx store. Bragg’s underlings rolled that back to petty larceny; a month later, Hall allegedly sucker-punched a sanitation worker.
Everyone deserves a second chance, but Bragg offered one defendant her 60th: In February, Nicole Green, who had 59 busts under her belt, was nabbed in a mugging case but set free after Bragg’s office asked for supervised release.
Bragg prosecutors helped spring Darius Mungin, a suspect in an Upper West Side murder (yes, murder), by agreeing to cut his bond. They cited concerns for Mungin’s safety following gang attacks, but why not try to get jail officials to keep him safe instead?
That’s just a sample of Bragg’s dereliction. And with crime still surging, it’s clear the bad guys have gotten his message: In New York, Bragg will let you slide.

[NYPOST] A Florida man was arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse after he unknowingly supplied police with home surveillance footage that showed him dragging the lifeless body of a 38-year-old woman through his house.
William Redden, 51, allegedly wrapped the corpse of Stephanie Shenefield in a sheet before dragging her lifeless body to his car and driving to a ditch, where he tossed her remains, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
It was not clear how the woman died.
Shenefield, a mother of two, took an Uber to the home of Redden, an alleged drug pusher, at 1:20 a.m. on Friday, June 3, Sherlocks said.
At some point in the night, Shenefield died inside the house and Redden allegedly disposed of her body instead of calling for help, Manatee County Sheriff Rick Wells said.
"William Redden does nothing about it," Sheriff Wells said at a presser aired on WTSP Tampa Bay 10. "He doesn’t call 911, he doesn’t call authorities, he doesn’t call anyone."
Redden, an eight-time convicted felon, told detectives that Shenefield stayed at his house that night — but left the next morning.
The detectives then asked Redden if they could take the DVRs from surveillance cameras on the inside and exterior of the house. He complied and said the cameras don’t record inside his house and are only a "live monitoring" system, according to the sheriff’s office.
"He tells them they do not record inside the residence. He was wrong," Wells said. "Thankfully he’s ignorant and didn’t know that. Because it worked for us."
To Sherlocks’ surprise, the video unveiled the final moments of Shenefield’s life and provided hints as to how her body ended up in a ditch in Palmetto.
The detectives verified through the video footage that Shenefield was at Redden’s home in Palmetto and died there during the night. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of death.
Redden then can be seen "dragging her lifeless body throughout the house" and loading it into a car before driving off, Wells said.
Two people walking their dog found Shenefield’s "badly decomposed" body in a 12-foot-deep drainage ditch near railroad tracks Thursday, June 9, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Florida mom was reported missing after Sunday, June 5, when she didn’t show up for work and also had missed a concert Friday evening.
"William Redden is a piece of crap, that’s what he is. He had the opportunity to call law enforcement, to call 911, to try to save her," Wells said.
"He could have done a lot of things, but that’s not his character," he added. "The only thing he thought of was trying to get rid of the evidence that was in his car — that was a human being; that was someone that was truly loved in this community."
Redden was charged with abuse of a corpse, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of an altered firearm. Additional charges are expected to be brought as the investigation continues, Wells said.
"We will continue to investigate this, but we want you to know that our hearts break for the family of Stephanie," the sheriff said.
He is being held at the Manatee County Jail on $108,000 bond.

A jumbo jet-sized mystery has landed in the lap of Argentine officials, who are trying to determine what to do with a Venezuelan-owned Boeing 747 cargo plane with a load of automotive parts and an unusually large crew of 17, including at least five Iranians.
The plane operated by Venezuela’s state-owned Emtrasur cargo line has been stuck since June 6 at Buenos Aires’ main international airport, unable to depart because of US sanctions against Iran ...The nation is noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence... and suspicions about its crew.
Argentinian Security Minister Aníbal Fernández said Monday that the government and legal authorities are studying the situation.
He said foreign intelligence agencies "advised that part of the crew belonged to companies related to the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guard of Iran," which has been officially listed as a terrorist organization by the US government since 2007.
He also said that the plane’s operators had reported a smaller number of crew members than were actually aboard — an unusually large contingent for a cargo plane. It was carrying parts for an automotive assembly plant, though he did not specify which one.
Until being sold to Emtrasur about a year ago, the plane had been owned by Mahan Air of Iran, a line the US government has sanctioned for allegedly aiding the Quds Force and terrorist activities. Numerous foreign companies over the years have been sanctioned for doing business with Mahan.
A front man for Mahan Air, Hossein Zolanvari, earlier told the state-run IRNA news agency that his company sold the Boeing to a Venezuelan company about a year ago.
"Mentioning Mahan Air in connection with the impounded airplane has aimed at political purposes," he said. He said the plane’s crew also have no connection to Mahan Air.
The plane’s crewmembers have been lodged at a hotel and Fernandez said the Venezuelans are free to leave if they want, while the Iranians can move about in the capital.
Fernandez said the plane had stopped in Paraguay in May. On June 6, it was headed for Ezeiza airport on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, but climatic conditions forced it to stop instead in the city of Cordoba, before finally reaching the Argentine capital, where it attracted the attention of immigration authorities, who confiscated the crew’s passports.
