[JPost] Uh huh. 48 hr week rule
Hamas has dropped its demand for an upfront pledge that Israel ends the war, a move that prompted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to send a team led by Mossad Director David Barnea to participate in further negotiations for a deal, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
The terror group is still expected to demand a permanent ceasefire, possibly even before the completion of phase one, but would allow that first phase of the three-phase deal — that would see the release of the remaining 120 hostages — to get underway without such a pledge.
It’s a key shift in the group’s position that has sparked cautious hope that the deadlock that greeted the proposal US President Joe Biden unveiled on May 31, may now finally have been broken, allowing for closure of the deal, or at least its first phase.
Multiple top defense officials call the new pending negotiations the closest Israel has been to achieving a hostage deal with Hamas, since the November agreement which saw the release of 105 of the 251 hostages seized during the Hamas-led invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023.

[Breitbart] A man in Rhode Island died earlier this year after reportedly setting a firework off on his head, which police are now investigating.
The death of David Ziegenfuss, 39, occurred on May 12 this year and police later determined the cause to be a “blast injury” to his head, according to Chief Gingerella. Per WFLA:
Gingerella said it appeared that Ziegenfuss and others were messing around with fireworks at a home on Pound Road when a mortar-style firework was put on his head and set off.
That type of firework is illegal in Rhode Island, the chief noted. However, Gingerella said the manner of his death has been deemed accidental.
The incident remains under investigation.
A new report from the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) last year showed that there has been an upward trend in deaths related to fireworks in the past 15 years. In 2022, “at least 11 people died and an estimated 10,200 were injured in incidents involving fireworks,” per KOKH.
[Breitbart] Mexican immigration agents allowed a Hungarian woman who had previously been flagged by U.S. authorities to enter the country in exchange for a cash bribe. The incident comes when Mexican immigration officials have been unable to shake a long list of corruption allegations.
The alleged bribe occurred in the Mexico City International Airport when a Hungarian woman approached an immigration booth for passengers arriving in Mexico. According to information exclusively leaked to Breitbart Texas by a director-level source within Mexico’s National Migration Institute (INM), the woman presented her passport to the agent at the booth, and an initial scan showed a possible alert.
The agents took the woman to an office where they photographed her and performed a biometric scan. The scan revealed that the woman was named in an immigration alert filed by the U.S. government out of New York. The nature of the immigration alert or which agency it was filed on behalf of was not provided to Mexican authorities, and the Mexican authorities made no inquiries during the encounter.
The INM source revealed that as per the institute guidelines, they should have notified the U.S. government to gather more information and either detain the individual if they were wanted by a foreign agency or deny her entry and have her take the first flight out of Mexico.
The INM agents took the woman to another office to question her further. However, during that interview, the woman disclosed that she had $2,000 USD in cash and another $2,500 USD in a cash card.
The agents took the money and allowed the woman to go free, escorting her out of the facility. A search of the INM database revealed that the woman’s information was not put into the system as should have been done with any international traveler who enters the airport.

Happy Independence Day!
America is the most interesting (and successful!) political experiment in the last 500 years. We managed to create a new thing - a nation based not on soil or blood, but on an idea. No matter their race, color, creed, or planet of origin, anyone can raise their hand and say "I believe in the Constitution of the United States and will defend it against all enemies, both foreign and bureaucratic" and *snap* you are in the club. We made it and we made it work. No wonder we are a bit smug.
Thank you all for your participation.
The U.S. Constitution is less than a quarter the length of the owner's manual for a 1998 Toyota Camry, and yet it has managed to keep 300 million of the world's most unruly, passionate and energetic people safe, prosperous and free.

A direct relative and cousins gunned and manned the USS United States, the ship out of Warren, Rhode Island, was the first American vessel to take to the seas following the Declaration of Independence. The sloop attacked and took possession of two British ships. It then captured a Brigantine out of North Carolina and took it to port where in October it was adjudged not to be trading with the enemy. With their pockets filled the United States owners returned to New York City where the sloop was sold off and assumed anew name and took to sea under the first American flag.
[Blaze] You might remember the whistleblower Dr. Eithan Haim, who exposed Texas Children’s Hospital for secretly continuing illegal transgender procedures. In May 2023, Haim anonymously shared redacted medical documents with journalist Christopher Rufo, who blew the lid off the story. But Haim was nonetheless indicted on four counts for violating HIPAA — even though the substantiative documents he provided omitted all confidential information.
Now, another whistleblower has come forward. Her name is Vanessa Sivadge, a pediatric nurse and former employee of Texas Children’s Hospital who also witnessed medical staff illegally continuing its transgender medicine program.
When Rufo’s story went public, Vanessa anonymously corroborated the reports.
The FBI targeted Haim first before turning its gaze toward Vanessa for being an accomplice in his reporting, which was impossible, considering Haim shared the information with Rufo anonymously.
[Federalist] In late June, 16 Nobel economists led by former World Bank Chief Economist Joseph Stiglitz issued a letter warning that a second Trump term would have "a negative impact on America’s economic standing in the world and a destabilizing effect on the U.S. domestic economy." Among the gripes: Trump’s "fiscally irresponsible" budget plans and the "vagaries of his actions and policies" in relations with other countries.
If the past is anything to go by, this is probably the most powerful endorsement of the Trump presidency yet.
The letter writers are not socialists. Like all good economists, they know that free trade, free markets, sound money, and balanced budgets are generally a good idea. They also know, as good economists do, that politicians need to get involved now and again to keep the Good Ship Capitalism afloat.
That’s where things get tricky. Economists are out of their depth in thinking about the complex interaction of politics and economics. As a result, they tend to fall back on a simple rule of thumb: trust the government when it is run by center-left technocrats like themselves. If populists are involved, they stand in opposition even if the results would be good. They fail to see that populists of the right are often better stewards of the economy than center-left technocrats or populists of the left.
If the laureates had a better grasp of the difference between academic theory and policy practice, they would not have issued their silly letter. As an International Monetary Fund official noted in a sharp riposte to Stiglitz’s left-populist book Globalization and its Discontents of 2002: "Stiglitz evidently feels that being a top-notch academic economist is ample qualification for being a good policymaker. The fact is that Joe got a late start in policymaking and shows it."
This is not the first time Nobel economists have miscalculated by dabbling in politics. Back in 1997, during the heyday of the Clinton-Gore technocracy, a feisty Congress led by Republican party populists grew alarmed by the federal debt, which had doubled to 63 percent of GDP from a post-war low of 31 percent in 1981. A coterie of more than 1,000 economists, including 11 Nobel laureates, rushed out a joint statement calling a balanced budget proposal "unsound and unnecessary." In retrospect, the economists opposed what might have been the last chance to save the American economy from its current fiscal crisis.
[PJ] Ever since Joe Biden’s debate debacle last Thursday, the left has turned into a circular firing squad. This time, it’s not woke "values" coming into conflict; instead, it’s the cacophony of voices talking about Biden’s fitness for the 2024 campaign.
One day, the loudest voices are calling for the Octogenarian-in-Chief to drop out. The next day, all is well and President Plugs and Veneers is fit as a fiddle and ready to slug it out with Donald Trump.
Suddenly, the two camps are at odds with each other. Keisha Lance Bottoms, who inflicted her own Bidenesque reign of terror on Atlanta during her single term as mayor, has called out the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC), the city’s only major newspaper, for criticizing Biden and suggesting that he step down. Bottoms calls this "election interference."
In an editorial on June 29, the reliably left-wing AJC editorial board suggested that the president step aside as an act of "the courage and dignity that have defined his political career" to "defeat Trump and for the good of the nation." The editors made this suggestion even while also making the laughable claim that Biden "has shown a greater capacity to tell the truth than his opponent, former President Donald Trump." (You can stop laughing now.)
[Federalist] The former FBI general counsel who pushed Twitter to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story is now working with a left-wing election influencers’ group.
James Baker, also prominent for his role in pushing the FBI’s political persecution of former President Donald Trump for the "Russiagate" hoax, is listed as a member of the National Task Force on Election Crises. The group is a subsidiary of the left-wing Protect Democracy Project, a litigation group formed to oppose Trump’s policies, according to InfluenceWatch.
The task force pushes early and mail-in voting, claims to help prevent "cyber or other attacks by foreign adversaries or domestic disrupters," promotes "pre-canvassing of absentee ballots," seeks to discourage legal election challenges, and advocates for censorship of certain online speech about elections.
WORKING FOR THE REGIME
Baker’s key areas of expertise, according to the group’s website, are "legal and legislative issues," "political violence and intimidation," "foreign and cyber interference," and "election subversion."
Baker certainly knows about "legal issues." While serving as the FBI’s lead counsel, he met with Michael Sussmann — who he later admitted was a "friend" — and who provided "intel" supposedly proving connections between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, a Russian company. Sussmann claimed he was acting on his own behalf, though he was later found to have been working for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign.

A legal retainer is good for the duration of the legal matter for which it was paid.
Russiagate, Biden Laptop Censorship, Left-Wing Election Network, J6, Mar-a-Lago documents, sexual abuse and defamation case; they are all part of the exact same cancer.
Donald Trump is still in the race, so Baker's checks continue to be mailed.

All these projects start with high hopes. I knew a lawyer that told me after Trump’s election that Trump would never serve because the plan was to impeach him before he was inaugurated. He had bought into Russiagate before I had ever understood what was planned.

[Washington Examiner] Democratic governors are backing President Joe Biden after they convened a sudden meeting to share concerns and assess the party’s future with Biden as its leader.
On Wednesday evening, every Democratic governor across the country, except for Gov. Tony Evers (D-WI), met in person at the White House or virtually as concerns in the Democratic Party grow that the 81-year-old commander in chief’s mental state is compromised.
In remarks to reporters following the meeting, Govs. Wes Moore (D-MD), Tim Walz (D-MN), and Kathy Hochul (D-NY) expressed confidence in the president’s ability to lead the party.

[ZERO] Another senior Hezbollah commander has been killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon on Wednesday. He was killed in a daytime strike on the coastal city of Tyre, in what appears a neighborhood or city area (according to widely circulating video). No more JERGA, JERGA, JERGA.
Hezbollah in a statement confirmed the death Muhammad Nimah Nasser, also known as Abu Nimah. Regional reports say that he commanded Hezbollah’s Aziz regional division in southern Lebanon (one of three divisions operating there).
His high rank within the organization is confirmed in the fact that the Hezbollah statement referred to him as a "commander" - which it reserves for only the most senior level operatives.
With the situation already on edge, given both sides are warning that 'all-out war' could be imminent, the marks the second high commander that Israeli has killed in less than two weeks.
Last month a commander named Taleb Abdulla, who headed the Nasr regional division, was taken out in an Israeli strike. Before that, in January the deputy head of the elite Radwan unit Wissam al-Tawil was killed.
The Associated Press reports that "In a video circulated by local media, residents rushed toward a charred vehicle with a large plume of smoke. Civil Defense said its first responders transported an unnamed wounded person to a hospital."
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has told troops during a visit Gaza border that tanks currently completing their tasks in Rafah and now being pulled from the theater can be deployed in the north where they "can reach as far as the Litani" river. The Lebanon river lies 10 miles north of Israel’s border.

Tucker Carlson had stunning news Wednesday on X that he has secured an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. As Gateway Pundit readers know, Tucker has been a vociferous critic of Zelenskyy’s corrupt government for years.
He has also lambasted the Biden regime’s never-ending aid to the war-torn nation.
In his tweet making the announcement, Tucker notes that he and his team had been trying for two years to make this happen and intensified their pursuit following his interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin back in February.
"Looks like we’ve got the Zelenskyy interview," Tucker wrote, "We’ve been trying for two years, and with particular intensity after interviewing Putin in February."
He then explained why he was interviewing a man in charge of the most crooked country in Europe outside of Russia and hoped he would be able to air it soon.

[HOT Air] Democrats couldn't wait to make Donald Trump's conviction in Manhattan into a campaign issue -- especially Joe Biden. Just four days after the jury returned its verdict, Biden told donors at a campaign event in Greenwich CT about the danger that having "a convicted felon" in the White House would bring:
Look, folks, this campaign has entered uncharted territory. Last week, for the first time in American history, a former President is convicted — a convicted felon. He’s now seeking the office of the presidency.
Biden repeated this attack nearly verbatim at a campaign event on June 18, and reformulated it in his post-debate appearance at a Raleigh campaign rally last Friday. This time, Biden phrased it more aggressively:
Look, he lied about how great he was on crime. I had to remind him that he oversaw a record increase of murder rates in 2020. And on my watch, violent crime has hit a 50-year low. There’s more to do, but 50-year low. (Applause.)
And then, I pointed out that the only convicted criminal on the stage last night was Donald Trump. (Applause.)
When I’ve thought about his 34 felony convictions, his sexual assault on a woman in a public place, his being fined $400 million for business fraud, I thought to myself, "Donald Trump isn’t just a convicted felon. Donald Trump is a one-man crime wave." (Applause.) And he’s got more trials — he’s got more trials coming up.
Is that an unfair attack? Not really; for the moment, it's at least factual, until appeals can be heard anyway. Trump did get convicted of felonies, and he does have more trials coming up.
And you know who else that describes? Hunter Biden.
Now, normally that would be a non-sequitur, although Donald Trump certainly used it effectively to shut down Biden's "convicted felon" attack in the debate. It's factual that Hunter got convicted of felonies in federal court, and that he has more felony trials coming up. But Hunter's not running for president or seeking to control the executive branch of the federal government.
[TOWNHALL] I know he left Fox News amid controversy. Still, what Bill O’Reilly told Glenn Beck does dovetail with other reports about the Biden family and close advisers discussing 2024 with the president in the aftermath of a brutal debate performance against Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... . The former president drove over Biden with a tank in what was probably the easiest debate for Trump in his short, meteoric political career. The Camp David gathering ended with Joe being urged by his arguably psychopathic family to remain in the race: Jill wants to cling to power like Lady Macbeth. At the same time, Hunter needs daddy to stay in office to keep the government influencing scheme alive. Remember, Hunter has mountains of legal bills to pay.
Yet, there were reportedly other voices that O’Reilly mentioned who were also in the ’just drop out’ camp, one of which was former President Barack Obama My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it... . Obama and former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain were brutal in their assessment of the president’s standing in the race, saying that he had zero shot at winning and remaining in this contest is akin to assisting evil.

Jill and Hunter are keeping Joe in. They understand that backing out of re-election is step one and step two is getting bounced out of the White House early. Joe has no chance. All of the replacements floated would have to go hard left to excite the base. Usually, that is done in the primaries. That will seal the swing states against them like a coffin.

[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] President Biden plans to hold a meeting with Democratic governors Wednesday, CBS News has learned, as the White House and his reelection campaign work to shore up support for him after last week’s shaky debate performance.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the chair of the Democratic Governors Association, will be at the White House for the meeting. Some governors plan to attend in person, while others will attend virtually.
...The meeting with governors is notable because up until this point, it’s mostly been Mr. Biden’s top aides and advisers who have been reaching out to elected Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... to reassure them after his debate performance. Members of the Democratic Governors’ Association held a call Monday to discuss the ongoing response to last week’s debate and a widespread concern among the state chief executives that Mr. Biden has done little outreach to governors, specifically over the course of the campaign year, according to two people familiar with arrangements for the call.
The Biden campaign had been trying to arrange time for Vice President Harris to speak with governors, but the governors decided Monday they wanted to hear directly from the president.
"They’d like to hear from him directly before going and sticking out their necks for him again," said one of the people familiar with the plan, granted anonymity to speak frankly about them.
Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Gov. If the meeting was successful, all the governors would have emerged and announced that Joe underperformed at the debate because he was doing all-nighters to cram for defending his doctoral dissertation on foreign policy and civil rights. That didn’t happen. Neither did staffer leaks that he had told them he was dropping out. The meeting was a mediocre show akin to a Kathy Griffin comedy special on TNT.

Allegory of the Emperor's Clothes
How do you operate when you can't deal with truth.
[An Nahar] The man charged with stabbing author Salman Rushdie has rejected a plea deal that would have shortened his state prison term but exposed him to a federal terrorism-related charge, the suspect's lawyer said.
Hadi Matar, 26, has been held without bail since the 2022 attack, in which he is accused of stabbing Rushdie more than a dozen times and blinding him in one eye as the acclaimed writer was onstage, about to give a lecture at the Chautauqua Institution in western New York.
Matar's attorney, Nathaniel Barone, confirmed that Matar, who lived in Fairview, New Jersey, rejected the agreement Tuesday in Mayville, New York.
The agreement would have had Matar plead guilty in Chautauqua County to attempted murder in exchange for a maximum state prison sentence of 20 years, down from 25 years. It would have also required him to plead guilty to a federal charge of attempting to provide material support to a designated terrorist organization, which could result in an additional 20 years, attorneys said.
Rushdie, who detailed the attack and his recovery in a memoir, had spent years in hiding after the Ayatollah Khomeini issued a fatwa, or edict, in 1989 calling for his death over Rushdie's novel "The Satanic Verses," which some Muslims consider blasphemous. The author reemerged into the public the late 1990s and has traveled freely over the past two decades.
Matar was born in the U.S. but holds dual citizenship in Lebanon, where his parents were born. His mother has said that her son had become withdrawn and moody after visiting his father in Lebanon in 2018.
Rushdie wrote in his memoir that he saw a man running toward him in the amphitheater, where he was about to speak about the importance of keeping writers safe from harm. The author is on the witness list for Matar's upcoming trial.
[An Nahar] Hezbollah and Speaker Nabih Berri told U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein during his latest Beirut visit that there might be “a new phase on the southern front if the Israelis stop the war and the assassinations,” describing such a phase as a “truce,” a senior Lebanese official said.
Hochstein considered this stance “encouraging, seeing as Hezbollah did not link pacification and the truce to the end of security operations in occupied Palestine, but rather to their end in Lebanon, specifically in the south,” the official told Kuwait’s al-Anbaa newspaper in remarks published Wednesday.
Asked about what Lebanon should expect should there be a truce in the south, the senior official said: “Hochstein will swiftly arrive in the region to kick off negotiations over finalizing the land border (between Lebanon and Israel) and upgrading the cessation of hostilities stipulated in U.N. resolution 1701 into a (permanent) ceasefire.”

[PJM] In yet another blow to CNN's credibility, a new report from the Jerusalem Post has exposed a disturbing connection between a CNN freelance journalist and Hamas.
Abdel Qader Sabbah, the journalist in question, allegedly shared selfies with senior Hamas officials and disseminated Hamas terrorist propaganda.
A report published by anti-Israel media bias watchdog HonestReporting alleges that a Gaza-based CNN freelance journalist was associated with a Hamas-run entity. Abdel Qader Sabbah appeared in photographs with senior Hamas leaders online and actively praised terrorists while also carrying out unnamed tasks for the terror organization, the report claims.
The report cites CNN's platforming of Sabbah's work. He has also worked for the Associated Press, and his platforming casts doubt on the journalistic integrity of the network and the Hamas terror group's ties to it. The report also raises concerns about journalistic standards and vetting practices of reporters for the media network, in addition to the story content published by the outlet.
The media watchdog identified evidence of Abdel Qader Sabbah’s Hamas affiliation on his personal Facebook page, where he identified himself as a freelance journalist, director, and photographer.
Throughout his profile, Sabbah's links himself to senior Hamas leaders, such as Mahmoud A-Zahar, in a 2018 post. A-Zahar called for "world domination with no Zionists," the report said.
Sabbah's selfie with A-Zahar included a caption referring to him as a teacher of literature. In 2023, he boasted about a promotional project he completed for the Directorate's academy, which MEMRI noted trains Hamas security systems. The video was later shared publicly on the Hamas-run interior ministry's official page.
The report also highlighted Sabbah's Facebook posts praising Hamas terrorists who carried out deadly terror attacks, such as Izz A-Din Al-Masri, who executed a suicide bombing at a Jerusalem restaurant in 2001, killing 16 people, including children. Sabbah consistently reshared Hamas armed wing propaganda videos and anti-Israel sentiments. His profile also featured content censoring media coverage of Hamas activities and fighters, revealing deep affiliations with members of the terrorist organization and their antisemitic propaganda.
After this troubling relationship came to light, CNN cut ties with Sabbah.
"This freelance journalist has provided material used in stories for us and other outlets over the past nine months, during which time our own journalists have been barred from entering Gaza independently," a CNN spokesman said in a statement to HonestReporting. "We have reviewed this material carefully and are comfortable that it meets our standards. However, we were not aware of this individual’s historical social posts and recognize that they are highly offensive. In light of this, we will no longer be using his material going forward."
While CNN claims that Sabbah's reports met their standards, a quick search on CNN finds several stories relating to the Israel-Hamas war that Sabbah contributed to that are heavily slanted against Israel, including a report from June 26, 2024, alleging that Palestinian children are "dying of starvation in their parents’ arms as famine spreads through Gaza," that mostly reads like Hamas propaganda.
[BBC] Doctors dismissed these women as hysterical. Now they're fighting back.
Women going to their doctor complaining of symptoms are dismissed as hysterical or depressed, and so are misdiagnosed. Men, on the other hand, ignore problems until they’ve become too blatant to be misdiagnosed, when more expensive and heroic measures are needed. Neither is ideal.
There’s a memory, or more specifically a moment, that came to define Heidi Metcalf’s second birth.
It wasn’t saying goodbye to her husband and newborn before being wheeled into an operating theatre, or the heart attack she thought she was having as she lay there on the table.
It was when a male obstetrician “ripped the placenta” out of her body, without word or warning.
A nurse, Ms Metcalf knows the intervention - while immensely painful - was necessary. She couldn't push it out naturally, which was causing potentially fatal bleeding.
But she hadn’t “seen or met this man before”, and she can’t get past the fact that her consent, during one of the most traumatic experiences of her life, “meant so little”.
“It felt like a violation - I needed to feel involved in what was happening to my body, and not just like a bystander.”
Ms Metcalf is one of thousands of Australian women who have come forward to tell their stories, after the federal government assembled a team of experts to tackle what it calls “medical misogyny”.
So far, they have uncovered that a staggering two-thirds of females nationwide have encountered gender bias or discrimination in healthcare.
And many say it is taking place when they're at their most vulnerable, such as during intimate examinations, or like Ms Metcalf, while in labour. Others report having their pain dismissed or dangerously misdiagnosed.
The BBC spoke to six women for this piece. They shared experiences of being called “anxious”, “pushy” or even “hysterical” while seeking treatment for a range of debilitating symptoms.
They also said they felt that the men in their lives seemed to consistently have their pain taken more seriously.
'I JUST DON'T FEEL SAFE'
Nadiah Akbar was once told by a doctor in Singapore that the extreme fatigue she was experiencing was due to the “stress” of being a busy mother. Tests would later show it was thyroid cancer.
Years later, in remission and having migrated to Australia, staff at a Melbourne hospital failed to diagnose a cartilage tear in her hip socket and a slipped disk in her back.
Instead, they suggested the crippling pain could be linked to “depression” or being “overtired”. It led to Ms Akbar paying for two costly MRI scans out of pocket to be taken seriously.
“‘Oh, it’s nothing.’ I’ve heard that statement so many times... It’s really disheartening as a human being to keep hearing that,” she says.
“It takes a lot of energy for you to keep advocating for yourself, and that’s the part that’s worrying - a lot of people just stop.”
Laura - who asked to have her name changed - is close to that point, after years of having symtoms of what would eventually be confirmed as a traumatic brain injury dismissed.
“I don’t get healthcare without my partner with me, that’s a blanket rule,” she says, explaining that she feels her concerns are taken “more seriously” when voiced by a man.

Like so many others across the country, both women say they’re coming forward to share their experiences to seize on this moment of promised change.
Assistant health minister Ged Kearney - who chairs the national council tasked with examining these issues - says that their stories, along with those of countless others facing additional disadvantage in First Nations, LGBTQ+, and migrant communities will guide its work.

Former Ukrainian President Zelensky:
Kiev is ready for negotiations if Russia respects the "integrity" of Ukraine
I will explain why the former clown and expired president is wrong:
a) Let him explain what the 404 territory is in the conditions of decommunization, i.e. before 1917? Will he show it on maps?
b) A state that commits genocide of the population on part of its territory has no right to "integrity" (in accordance with the fundamental documents of the UN).
c) I remember how this clown giggled like a fool at the last meeting on the Minsk Agreements (although why LIKE a fool? He is a fool). For him, the Minsk Agreements are a fiction of the West. And now he is screaming about negotiations tomorrow? Only a complete capitulation of the Ukronazis and a trial of them and such clowns.
By the way, it is worth recalling that for the time being, Russia still respected the integrity of Ukraine, until it sold it out (or rather sold itself out, like a prostitute) to the West. Now it is their turn to respect the integrity of Russia. True, now in a different format.
Russia created Ukraine, on its lands and Russia has the full legal right to close this failed project, once and for all. And Russia does not need anyone's advice or instructions.
And Ukraine... Its integrity can now only be within its current borders - the format of 1654.

Russia recognized Ukraine in its borders of 1991 (including Crimea).
Russia has no effing right to do anything in Ukraine.

But the scumbag Ukrainian Nazis apparently have a right to kill ethnic Russians and even burn them alive like they did in Odessa about ten years ago in that trade union building.
But in the end, all I care about is US involvement there, and there shouldn't be any, to include not one thin dime for those corrupt vermin in Kiev.

We love the Daily Mail! Where else can you get the latest from GCHQ as well as celebrity gossip and quality T&A? It helps if you can read between the lines, but that is true with any news source.
The photos also show a long runway with several scotch marks at the top end
Scotch marks are why you should use coasters for your drinks.
Interesting about the ChiComs practicing against mock-ups. Train like you fight; fight like you train, right? Or are they using the fakes to train a targeting AI? An autonomous drone swarm that can recognize American fighters sounds like a handy thing to have in a war.

They’ll have to use mock-ups until they get real F-35s after conquering Taiwan, SteveS. Assuming that they do manage to conquer Taiwan, of course. If not, it won’t matter anymore.
"Muh. Russia!"

[REDSTATE] A senior re-election campaign official for President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity.... announced that editorial boards and editorial writers are guilty of election influencing or interference during an MSNBC interview on Monday. Former Atlanta Mayor, now senior campaign advisor to Biden, Keisha Lance Bottoms lambasted editorial boards, accusing them of "influencing an election" by writing negatively about Biden.
Bottoms was specifically lashing out at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's editorial board when they criticized President Biden's debate performance and opined that he should step down as a candidate.
Bottoms falsely claimed that editorial boards like the Atlanta Journal-Constitution must "honor fair elections" and thinks that any criticism of Biden is somehow not honoring fair elections and is influencing or interfering in this upcoming election.
"Let me just say I was very disappointed with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution," she said. "We have talked about making sure we're protecting elections and making sure there's no undue influence, this was undue influence by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution or an attempt to influence."
Bottoms' comments seemingly show a growing concern in the Biden campaign that the media is no longer running cover for her boss after what the Atlanta Journal-Constitution wrote in their editorial regarding the debate and Biden's performance.
"This wasn't a bad night. It was confirmation of the worst fears of some of Biden's most ardent supporters. Biden deserves a better exit in public life than the one he endured when he shuffled off the stage on Thursday night."
MSNBC's Chris Jansing attempted to push back on Bottoms' comments by asking her if that wasn't the role of the editorial staff, or editorials in general, to criticize politicians and their performances, to which Bottoms made her out-of-this-world comments regarding the supposed requirement of the editorial boards never to criticize her boss.
Bottoms' comments are just another example of the Biden election team trying to run cover for Biden after his unmitigated disaster of a debate performance against Former President Donald Trump ...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons...... . In the days since the debate, more and more members of the media, notably from the networks that are typically supportive, or at the very least, soft on Biden, have been raising serious questions and alarms about Biden's abilities or lack thereof.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] British rapper M.I.A has released a clothing range which she says will protect wearers from 5G, WiFi, and nanoparticles - which she describes as 'evil dust'.
The OHMNI line created by the musician, whose real name is Mathangi Arulpragasam, includes a number of garments, among them are t-shirts, boxer shorts and a 'tin foil hat', designed to protect wearers from electromagnetic waves.
Prices range from $50 for smaller items like boxers, to $400 for dresses and puffer jackets.
The clothing range, designed by the 48-year-old rapper, who is best known for her tune Paper Planes, is described as 'your last frontier at preserving your privacy, autonomy, and rights over your body and your data'.
According to What's The Jam, each item of clothing is made from OHMNI’s original silver street shield textiles.
The U.S. Navy’s Ticonderoga-class cruisers are approaching the end of their service lives and will be decommissioned in the coming years. By 2027, all cruisers will be gone. What will replace them, and will the U.S. Navy build new cruisers as replacements?
The U.S. Navy did have the Next-Generation Cruiser program (CG(X)), started in November 2001, to design and replace the Ticonderoga-class cruisers. The CG(X) program was canceled in 2010. In CG(X)’s canceled program’s place, the U.S. Navy decided to acquire Flight III DDG-51s, upgraded versions of the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers.
According to the June 10, 2010, Congressional Research Service (CRS) report to Congress, “The CG(X) program was announced on November 1, 2001, when the Navy stated that it was launching a Future Surface Combatant Program aimed at acquiring a family of next-generation surface combatants. This new family of surface combatants, the Navy stated, would include three new classes of ships.
• a destroyer called the DD(X)—later renamed the DDG-1000 or Zumwalt class—for the precision long-range strike and naval gunfire mission,
• a cruiser called the CG(X) for the AAW [Anti-Air Warfare] and BMD [Ballistic Missile Defense] mission, and
• a smaller combatant called the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) to counter submarines, small surface attack craft, and mines in heavily contested littoral (near-shore) area.” The tumblehome hull Zumwalt-class destroyers (DDG-1000) and the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) were indeed built, but the CG(X) program did not become a reality.
In June 2024, Naval News asked the U.S. Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) about cruiser replacements and if there would be any new CG(X) program resurrection. NAVSEA forwarded my request to the U.S. Navy’s Chief of Information (CHINFO) office, who replied:
"The Navy does not intend to replace Ticonderoga-class cruisers with CG(X). In the near term, the DDG 51 FLT III, and DDG(X) in the long term, fulfill the requirements historically supported by the Ticonderoga-class cruisers."
“While DDG 51 Flight III capabilities enable the surface force to pace adversary threats into the future, after 40 years of production and 30 years of upgrades, the DDG 51 hull form has inadequate space, weight, power, and cooling margins (SWaP-C) for future upgrades,”
“DDG(X) represents an evolutionary vice revolutionary approach that will provide the Navy with the warfighting capabilities and SWaP-C margins to relieve both the Arleigh Burke DDG 51 class destroyer and Ticonderoga CG 47 class cruiser as the next enduring hull form.”
When asked why the CG(X) program was canceled and if the Requirements for the CG(X) program still exist, CHINFO’s spokesperson said, “CG(X) represented a revolutionary vision for the future of the Navy. However, CG(X) was based on the matured DDG 1000 hull form, which met with significant technical and affordability issues.
"The requirements that were filled by the Ticonderoga-class cruiser are now being filled by DDG 51 FLT III in the near term and DDG(X) in the long term. The Navy’s current capabilities resident within DDG 51 FLT III and DDG(X) ship classes are sufficient to meet the requirements the CG(X) program was intended to fulfill. These capabilities are deemed sufficient to support the Surface Navy’s mission throughout the range of military operations. Accordingly, there is no plan to pursue the CG(X).”
...Nope. Maybe they could do a stretched Burke, but they still couldn't bring it in for any reasonable amount of money or in any reasonable amount of time.

The Burke class destroyers are very nearly cruisers. In fact, the Navy stretched the Burke design to make the Tico cruisers, which subsequently made them (Ticos) top heavy and difficult to maneuver. That's why they didn't build many.
The current motto seems to be "bigger, shinier, with less crew".
They've even managed to screw up the Fincanteri frigates being built in Wisconsin, when at least three Euro yards were able to build them successfully.
At this point I hope they don't even try.

Ed, they didn't stretch the Burke to build Ticos. The Ticos have virtually the same hull and engineering plant as the long lamented Spruance destoyers. I remember seeing the first Spruance class come into San Diego. The Spruance class was commissioned starting in 1975 and the Ticos in 1983.

I stand corrected. I knew it was a stretched destroyer hull. My apologies.

With the GWOT they thought they didn't need them anymore and stopped building and designing them. Now the Navy sees they are really close to a large, classic naval battle and realize they don't have them and are scrambling to get them designed and built. First one should be online in 2036 after we lose several others in a battle.
We are in the classic Axis/Japanese position where we have a large and powerful Navy and no way to replace it.

IMO the navy should abandon surface ships and concentrate on un-crewed submersibles. would still need surface vessels for support. nuclear fail safe is an imperative.

[Regnum] Novorossiysk was attacked by unmanned boats on the night of July 3. The attacks are being repelled. This was reported on the Telegram channel by the city's head Andrey Kravchenko.
Novorossiysk was attacked by unmanned boats on the night of July 3
The mayor asked the population to remain calm and take safety measures. He also called on residents not to go out into open spaces near the sea.
Kravchenko reminded about the inadmissibility of photo and video recording of the work of the city's security forces.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on the night of July 3, after an air raid alarm was announced, an explosion thundered in Kharkov.
The Russian Armed Forces have struck the storage and preparation sites for the use of unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported on July 1 by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
The Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of the destruction of unmanned boats of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the port of Novorossiysk.
“The Novorossiysk Naval Base’s duty fire weapons destroyed two unmanned boats in the Black Sea that were heading towards Novorossiysk,” the defense department said in a statement.
The footage provided by the ministry shows coastal artillery firing at night at approaching unmanned boats of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As a result of repelling the attack, one of the boats explodes, leaving behind a column of smoke.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on the morning of July 3, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that two Ukrainian unmanned boats, which were heading towards Novorossiysk, were destroyed in the Black Sea.
Before this, the danger regime of attack by unmanned boats was declared in Novorossiysk at about 2 a.m. Moscow time and was in effect for about 1 hour and 40 minutes. The head of the city, Andrei Kravchenko, thanked the military for their prompt response and protection of the city.
Later, the Russian leader's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attempt to attack Novorossiysk, said that Russian President Vladimir Putin receives reports from the military around the clock.
[AMERICANTHINKER] For decades, the American Left has been making a deliberate and successful attempt to kill virtue.
Much of what they do demonstrates a disregard for normal traditional American virtues such as decency, consideration, productivity, respect, decorum, honor, and moderation.
The truly virtuous would never dream of announcing their sexual preferences in public. The only reason to do that is to draw attention to yourself and your private parts. Every year, the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... offers a sickening public street festival called Up Your Alley for the gay bondage, discipline and sadomasochism subculture. If you dare to look it up (I cannot bring myself to include the link), beware. Just... beware. It's exhibitionistic, nauseating, and thoroughly unvirtuous.
When a culture tolerates public parades which openly solicit nakedness with emphasis on genitals, you attempt to desensitize others to modesty and decorum. You have lost your moral underpinnings in favor of garnering attention for the sake of prurient attention. Why would any normal person want to display their decorated private parts in public if not to sensationalize nudity and shock the prudes? It is completely self-aggrandizing and reveals a deep neurotic insecurity.
The Left have taken a careful and systematic approach to destroying American virtues such as hard work, modesty, humility, consideration of others, and planning for the future. In their places, the Left decided that it was virtuous to be demanding, slothful, narcissistic, godless, and sexually profligate.
The Leftist virtue-killers think the government has its own money to give to them for doing nothing. Taking what belongs to others and lazing about the house and streets with it is not virtuous. It is theft; taxpayers pay for the progeny and sloth of these unvirtuous slackers. If the Left can remove time-honored virtues such as productivity and merit, they create a national movement where they can be taken care of by others without consideration for those who really pay. You get a nation of unvirtuous entitled slobs.
The murder of virtue leads to hedonistic behavior across the board, which itself leads to chaos.
The LGBT "community" has infiltrated schools in pre-kindergarten through adulthood. There was a relentless promotion of child sacrifice abortions in the name of "privacy," and "reproductive health." We tolerated it.
They promoted homosexuality around the clock. We tolerated it in the name of "love," but as a result, we got drag queen story hour.
Then we got explicit illustrated how-to pornographic books in our schools aimed at very young children. We tolerated that and got hyper-sexualized children and pornography for everyone's easy access.
Next came the sanctioned butchering of young people at pre-pubescence and the changing of their sexes in the name of self-actualization and warped parental love.
The deliberately organized salesmanship of perversity by trans and gay people has created a nation pocked with confused, debased, and psychologically damaged people. The promoters of this utter lack of virtue bristle when you tell their bearded faces that they are not women.
If Christians, Jews, and Moslems want to live in peace, they need to stop tolerating atheistic and satanic bad behavior, public nudity, sexual proselytizing, sloth, profanity, loudness, rudeness, and disrespect of others. Rather than making things better for everyone, lack of virtue leads to a chaotic culture which leads to collapse.
We need virtuous people who are not afraid to tell the unvirtuous that they should stop it. It's disgusting. Don't buy their products, don't patronize their stores, online or elsewhere, and don't tolerate it in public. The boycott is among the most effective tools we have. So is the vote. Demand to know what candidates tolerate. Then vote accordingly. This is not an unimportant thing. We are on a knife’s edge.

[Epoch Times] The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) sent a health alert on Tuesday that warned doctors to be on alert for dengue fever cases as the mosquito-borne disease continues to spread worldwide.
The virus has been on the rise worldwide and in the Americas in recent months, officials said. Some countries have broken calendar-year records for dengue cases, while the U.N. World Health Organization declared an emergency over dengue in December.
In its bulletin on Tuesday, the CDC told doctors to be aware of the symptoms of the viral infection and to ask patients questions about where they recently traveled. Doctors are also advised to order tests for dengue if need be. But not everyone that gets it goes to a doctor, especially 'newcomers'.
Some 2,241 cases have been reported in 2024 across 50 states and another 1,498 cases in Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory. The territory declared an emergency for dengue in March amid a rise in cases.
There were 3,036 dengue cases reported in the United States, Puerto Rico, and other territories last year, according to the CDC. In Latin America, nearly 10 million cases of the virus have been reported, or about twice as many as all the cases reported in 2023, the CDC advisory said.
That sounds like the reporter means us to believe the disease is brought to America by visitors from Latin America.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Chicago commuter was viciously attacked by thieves who choked him unconscious and rifled through his pockets.
The 49-year-old victim's ordeal on February 17 was caught on harrowing surveillance video obtained by Fox News.
Fernando Loyo-Rodriguez, Wilker Gutierrez Sierra, Carlos Carreno-Carreno and Yonnier Guasamucare Garcia, who are all Venezuelan migrants, have been charged with attempted murder and robbery.
The footage shows four men appear to befriend their victim in the train car before he is suddenly seized from behind. The man is choked and loses consciousness. As he falls to the ground, one of the suspects covers the camera. oPolice said one of the suspects held a knife to the victim's throat during the attack.
The group made off with $400 and a cellphone and left their victim unconscious in the back of the train car. The suspects, who are aged 18 to 22-years-old, were arrested 45 minutes later.
They had only been in the country for a few months prior to the incident, with three of the accused previously picked up for shoplifting.
The men appeared in Cook County court on Tuesday status-detention hearing. Carreno-Carreno, Loyo-Rodriguez and Guasamucare Garcia were put in custody, while Gutierrez Sierra was let out on ankle monitor. They are due back in court on August 28.
The issue has become a flashpoint ahead of the November election and a cornerstone of Donald Trump's campaign. The presidential hopeful has vowed to deport millions of migrants who entered the US illegally if elected.
However, several studies have indicated that migrants are less likely to commit crimes than native-born Americans. One study by Stanford economist Ran Abramitzky found that immigrants are 30 percent less likely to be incarcerated than are white, US-born individuals.

[KavkazUzel] The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don has received a case of a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, who is accused of participating in an international terrorist organization and an armed attack on a military man.
The man was charged under Part 2 of Article 205.5 (participation in the activities of an organization that is recognized as terrorist in accordance with Russian legislation), Article 317 (attack on the life of a serviceman for the purpose of obstructing his lawful activities) and Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (threat to use violence against government officials in connection with the performance of their official duties).
According to the investigation, the man, being a supporter of the "Islamic State", committed an armed attack on a serviceman in Nalchik and also threatened to use violence against two employees of the internal affairs agencies of Kabardino-Balkaria. He was detained at the scene of the crime, Interfax wrote on July 1, citing the republic's prosecutor's office.
Earlier, the " Caucasian Knot " wrote that at the end of May, the Southern District Military Court sentenced a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, Kantemir Nafedzov, finding him guilty of preparing a terrorist attack in Nalchik and sentencing him to 15 years in a maximum security penal colony.

Hochstein discussed with Lebanese politicians a cease-fire on the Lebanon-Israel border and requested via intermediaries that Hezbollah apply pressure on Hamas to accept a cease-fire and hostage-exchange proposal put forward by U.S. President Joe Biden. Hezbollah rejected the request.
Hochstein also urged Hezbollah to limit its attacks to the occupied Shebaa Farms, pro-Hezbollah al-Akhbar newspaper reported Wednesday. The calm along the border would allow the displaced Lebanese and Israelis to return to the border villages.
Hezbollah says the only sure path to a cease-fire on the Lebanon-Israel border is a full cease-fire in Gaza.
Talks of a cease-fire in Gaza have faltered in recent weeks, raising fears of an escalation on the Lebanon-Israel front. Hezbollah has traded near-daily strikes with Israeli forces along their border over the past nine months.
The low-level conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has displaced tens of thousands on both sides of the Israel-Lebanon border. In northern Israel, 16 soldiers and 11 civilians have been killed; in Lebanon, more than 450 people — mostly fighters but also dozens of civilians — have been killed.
[CNN] Justice Department officials will continue to pursue the federal criminal cases against Donald Trump past Election Day, even if he wins, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
The plan is due to a view that DOJ rules against charging or prosecuting a sitting president would not kick in until Inauguration Day in January, people familiar with the discussions told The Post.
The Washington Post’s reporting comes a day after the Supreme Court ruled that Trump may claim immunity from criminal prosecution for some of the actions he took at the end of his presidency.
The court’s decision is likely to further delay a trial on the federal election subversion charges brought by special counsel Jack Smith, leaving Trump poised to avoid pre-election trials in the most significant criminal prosecutions he faces after being found guilty in his hush money trial in May. (His sentencing in that trial has been postponed until September in the wake of the court’s ruling.)
Officials who were not part of the special counsel’s deliberations told CNN they believed the long-standing DOJ policy against criminally charging a sitting president does not extend to a president-elect.
The department policy applies to a “sitting president,” the officials told CNN – so even if Trump were to win reelection in November, he could still stand trial before he was inaugurated in January 2025.
A spokesperson for Smith’s office declined to comment to The Post.
Trump also faces dozens of federal charges related to the alleged mishandling of classified documents. The judge who oversees that case, also brought by Smith, indefinitely postponed the trial in May, citing significant issues around classified evidence that would need to be worked out before the case goes to a jury. If former acting AG Matt Whitaker becomes the AG, things make take a far different course at DoJ.

I love it - they're practically begging Trump to nuke the place.
WHEN Trump wins, the only question will be, will the DC Swamp allow him to take office.
Because WHEN he does, many will see TRUMP quickly pull the toilet handle, flushing DC agencies flushed of the Anti-constitutional 5th column implanted there since 2008+

The whole Russiagate ploy is not going to work this time. There is no leverage against Trump regarding impeachment. He has free rein to clean house at DOJ. Clarence Thomas has even included verbiage in the immunity ruling that Jack Smith was illegitimately appointed. The scam ends at inauguration unless they have the good sense to end it sooner. Based on a preponderance of evidence, they don’t have good sense.

[Regnum] Western countries are deliberately prolonging the Ukrainian crisis, which they themselves provoked. This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov during a meeting of the Council of CIS Defense Ministers in Minsk.
“I would like to repeat once again: it was the West that prepared and provoked the Ukrainian crisis, and is now deliberately prolonging it,” Belousov emphasized.
At the same time, he pointed out that the West is in every way condoning the Kyiv regime in the widespread imposition of Nazism and the distortion of historical truth.
At the same time, Belousov noted that Moscow values the solidarity of the CIS member countries in the fight against the glorification of Nazism.
The day before, Belousov arrived in Minsk to participate in the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS countries.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, Russian officials have repeatedly pointed out the obvious involvement of Western countries in the Ukrainian conflict. Thus, at the end of May, the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already trying to strike Russian territory with American weapons. He emphasized that this speaks volumes about the extent of Washington's involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.
On June 27, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev noted that Western countries are effectively involved in the Ukrainian conflict, despite the fact that they have no grounds for this.
He added that Western countries cannot cite the right to self-defense as a basis for this, because no one is threatening them in this situation.
On June 25, Peskov said that Moscow does not yet see any prerequisites for normalizing dialogue with the West on settling the conflict in Ukraine. The Kremlin spokesman commented on French President Emmanuel Macron's words about his intention to resume dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the future.
[An Nahar] Hezbollah said it fired more than 100 rockets at Israeli positions on Wednesday in retaliation for a strike that killed a senior commander in south Lebanon, the movement's second such loss in recent weeks.
Hezbollah has traded near daily cross-border fire with the Israeli army since its Palestinian ally Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7, triggering war in Gaza, but an uptick in bellicose rhetoric from both sides in recent weeks has raised fears of all-out war.
"A Hezbollah commander responsible for one of three sectors in south Lebanon was killed" in an "Israeli strike on a car in Tyre," a source close to the group told AFP, requesting anonymity as they were not authorized to speak to the media.
Hezbollah later said that "commander Mohammad Naameh Nasser," also known as "Hajj Abou Naameh" had been killed, and also announced the death of a second fighter.
The Israeli army said in a statement that it "eliminated" Nasser, saying he was "the commander of the Hezbollah terrorist organization's Aziz Unit which is responsible for firing from southwestern Lebanon at Israeli territory."
In consecutive statements, Hezbollah said that "as part of the response to the attack and assassination that the enemy carried out" in south Lebanon's Tyre, its fighters attacked three positions in the Israeli-annexed Syrian Golan Heights with over 100 Katyusha rockets.
Hezbollah also claimed another retaliatory attack with Falaq rockets on a base in northern Israel's Kiryat Shmona as well as an attack with Burkan rockets on the Zar'it barracks.
An Israeli military spokesperson told AFP that about 100 rocket launches had been made towards Israel from Lebanon.

We had a Zwetschgen (prune plum) tree in the back garden of our house in Bad Soden, in the Taunus hills above Frankfurt. It yielded an awful lot of rotting fallen fruit swarmed by hornets too drunk on on fruit to fly… and just drunk enough to sting the trailing daughters almost daily when they passed it to play in the sandbox. I never did get enough not-rotten fruit to bake with.
[NY Post] A conservative watchdog group hit "Squad" Rep. Ilhan Omar with an ethics complaint Wednesday over an event she took part in last weekend that featured former Somalia Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire.
Khaire stumped for Omar (D-Minn.) and pushed to get out the vote for the congresswoman, which the American Accountability Foundation (AAF) claims may have violated the Federal Elections Campaign Act.
"We are deeply concerned by Ilhan Omar’s illegal campaign rally with the former Prime Minister of Somalia. Omar already has a long history of statements indicating her disdain for America and allegiance to Somalia, but this goes beyond statements," AAF said in a statement.
"Now her campaign has taken action to involve a foreign leader in an American election. She must resign immediately and return every dollar raised for her at this disgraceful rally."
Omar’s campaign counsel David Mitrani quickly fired back, telling The Post, "This ethics complaint is another attempt by the far-right to smear the Congresswoman."
"Congresswoman Omar’s campaign had absolutely no involvement in requesting, coordinating, or facilitating Mr Khaire’s appearance or his comments, and accordingly there was no violation of law," he said.
AAF asked the Office of Congressional Ethics to open an investigation into Omar and cited two possible infractions.
First are accusations that Omar "knowingly" accepted Khaire’s "services" at "her campaign events" which AAF claims went beyond the scope of "the limited volunteer services permitted by a foreign national and involved impermissible decision-making."
Specifically, AAF is alleging that Khaire’s "particularity" in which he engaged in a get-out-the-vote effort for Omar amounted to "prohibited decision-making."
"Support her with your votes, tell your neighbors and friends, and anyone you know to come out and support Ilhan Omar," Khaire said, according to a translation of his remarks cited by AAF in the complaint.
"And knock on every door you can so that she can be re-elected."
Additional footage circulating online showing Khaire huddling with Omar and others while underscoring the importance of her prevailing in the Aug. 13 primary. Khaire also posted a video of his remarks on X.
"I participated in the celebration of the 64th anniversary of the independence and unity of Somalia, which took place in Minneapolis. I gave a speech at the forum to participate in the joy and celebration of this historic event," he wrote, according to Google Translate.
Under federal law, candidates are barred from "knowingly soliciting, accepting, or receiving contributions or donations from foreign nationals."
AAF also alleged that Khaire’s "services" to Omar’s campaign "appear to be compensated by a prohibited source."
Commentary by Russian military blogger Andrey Chervonets
Defense Minister Andrei Belousov instructed the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces to take prompt response measures to provocations related to the increased activity of US drones in the Black Sea
— The Russian Defense Ministry noted the increased intensity of flights of US strategic unmanned aerial vehicles over the Black Sea, which carry out reconnaissance and target designation for high-precision weapons supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by Western countries in order to strike Russian targets.
— This indicates the increasing involvement of the United States and NATO countries in the conflict in Ukraine on the side of the Kiev regime.
— Such flights greatly increase the likelihood of incidents in the airspace with aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which increases the risk of direct confrontation between the alliance and the Russian Federation.
Responsibility for this will be borne by NATO countries.
(c) Official statement of the Russian Defense Ministry
One gets the impression that the generals are sitting in the General Staff and suffering from enemy intelligence in the skies over the Black Sea. They sit and suffer, suffer and sit. And then suddenly the Minister of Defense says: Take action. And the generals in the General Staff - rrrrrraz! and took action! And they themselves can neither accept nor propose to take measures. They can only sit and suffer.
Here we should applaud Andrei Removich, who finally decided, after two and a half years of war, to officially recognize the problem and set the task of eliminating this problem. Considering that he has only been the Minister of Defense for a month, the questions "why this was not done in 2022" are no longer relevant and should be asked to Mr. Shoigu and his team.
Moreover, this order suggests that no one bothered with this problem at all. They fly and fly, adjusting strikes on Crimea and Krasnodar and adjusting. They kill people - we will give birth to more, blow up oil refineries - we will build more (here, in Sechin's place, one could already fight).
In addition, this order points to another interesting point for experts - Russia did not shoot down American UAVs not because it wanted negotiations, was waiting for Trump, could not, was afraid of World War III, but because the Minister of Defense did not give an order to resolve this issue. Shoigu, in almost 27 months of the SVO, has not deigned to give such an order. I wonder if Gerasimov, the Chief of the General Staff, ever came up with an initiative himself? Isn't he the one who should first and foremost determine the existing threats?
In order for anything to move, it took an American missile strike on Sevastopol with direct reconnaissance and target designation from an American Global Hawk drone off the coast of Sevstopol.
After the order, it turns out, it is quite possible to drive away drones. Without the help of weapons, which cannot legally be considered an act of aggression. It was enough for the Russian MiG-31 to fly past the UAV a couple of times at a speed of almost 2.5 times the speed of sound, after which it retreated to Romania and for three days nothing flew at all. The Americans requested an urgent conversation between the defense ministers of Russia and the United States. They did not need these conversations for two years and then suddenly.
Later, NATO changed tactics. They sent not a UAV, but a British RC-135 WITH A CREW, after which the British Storm Shadows struck (that is, they do not even hide - the Americans give target designation to the American missiles, and the British - to the British). The board was covered by 4 fighters, two of which were flying demonstratively, and two more were hiding behind the RC. Russian fighters were nearby, observing. After the British fighters ran out of fuel, they left, and the reconnaissance aircraft bashfully flew off under the Romanian coast. They are afraid.
The TG channel Fighterbomber (its author is a former Su-34 pilot) suggests :
If everything is extremely clear with drones, they will try to bring them down, then what to do with manned reconnaissance aircraft is unclear.
I think the best thing to do here is to accompany the reconnaissance aircraft as closely as possible, to take the sides into a box, to interfere with work and maneuvering by draining fuel and satellites.
Naturally, taking into account the presence of fighter escorts for the reconnaissance aircraft. They will also need to be occupied with something. But these fighters will not be able to use weapons for exactly the same reasons as we.
What do we have so far?
Today, the US Air Force RC-135W Rivet Joint electronic reconnaissance aircraft was "afraid" to approach Crimea and is working over Romania without crossing the coastline. Already a profit. It looks, but noticeably from afar.

[Regnum] Muslims of the Hanafi madhhab do not have an obligation to cover the face and hands of women. This was reported on July 3 by the Supreme Mufti of Russia and Chairman of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia Talgat Tadzhuddin, commenting on the advisability of wearing a niqab.
"We have not had any niqab for 14 centuries. The situation is different in the North Caucasus, where Muslims of the Shafi'i madhhab may consider covering the face obligatory, but, for example, in connection with the terrorist threat and ensuring state security, this problem can be solved by law. At one time, it was obligatory to take a passport photo only with an uncovered head, in recent years they have allowed taking photos in scarves and headdresses. This is solved by law. But Muslims of the Hanafi madhhab have no obligation to cover the face and hands of women," the Telegram channel BRIEF quotes him as saying.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, said on June 29 that wearing niqabs in Russia should be banned. He pointed out that in Asian countries, unlike Russia, such a ban is in effect.
Earlier, presidential adviser and chairman of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights Valery Fadeyev proposed banning the wearing of the niqab in Russia to reduce the threat of extremism.
Deputy Mufti of the Republic Abdulla Salimov reported that wearing niqabs in Dagestan is temporarily banned in light of the Fatwa Department's conclusion issued the day before. He reported that the Mufti of Dagestan had decided on a temporary ban "until the identified threats are eliminated and a new theological conclusion is reached."
Salimov explained that one of the grounds was an appeal from the Ministry of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic, which spoke of a threat to the security of the region's population. Another ground was the competent conclusion of the fatwa department, issued on July 2.
Caucasian muftis have ruled that wearing the niqab in the Russian Federation is harmful to Muslims.
The press service of the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus reported that wearing the niqab harms Muslims and threatens discord in interreligious and interethnic relations.
The author of the portal "Islam News" Aidar Bariyev reported that the niqab is not "Islamic clothing", therefore it is not regulated by the legal norms of Islam. We are talking about clothing that was worn by some southern tribes of pre-Islamic times. Bariyev emphasized that the discussion around wearing the niqab is a common occurrence in Islamic countries. In a number of these countries, the niqab is banned.
The niqab is a head covering that completely covers the face, leaving only a narrow slit for the eyes.
More from regnum.ru Caucasian Muftis Declare That Wearing Niqab in Russia Harms Muslims
Wearing the niqab harms Muslims and threatens discord in interreligious and interethnic relations. This was reported by the press service of the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus.
It is noted that the issue of the advisability of wearing a niqab is currently being actively discussed in Russia. The Islamic religion prescribes covering parts of the body except for the face, hands and feet, that is, it prescribes wearing the so-called hijab, where the face remains open.
The press service explained that wearing a hijab is not prohibited in Russia and the law allows one to be photographed in it to obtain a passport. A niqab is a headdress that completely covers the face, leaving only a narrow slit for the eyes.
It is clarified that the majority of Islamic scholars believe that an uncovered face and hands are not “awrah” (a part of the body that Muslims are obliged to cover in front of other people).
"We, Muslims of the North Caucasus, like our predecessors, theologians, support the opinion of the majority of Islamic scholars about the optionality of the "niqab". The assertion of some people that the face and hands in Islam are awrah is unreliable, unacceptable and even forbidden in Islam if it brings confusion and division into society. The niqab has never been a traditional form of clothing for the North Caucasus. Moreover, even in some countries where Islam is the state religion, wearing the niqab in public places is completely or partially prohibited," the statement says.
It is noted that in Russia, the texts of the Holy Quran and the Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad are protected at the legislative level and cannot be recognized as extremist under any circumstances. Burning sacred texts in Russia is a criminal offense, which protects the Quran and Muslims from any attacks.
The Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus called on everyone to do only good deeds.
"For this reason, we decree: to consider, in the current conditions in Russia, wearing the niqab, burqa, and similar head coverings that hide the face as causing practical harm to Muslims, threatening discord in interreligious and interethnic relations. We call on everyone to perform good deeds, which our religion actually prescribes for us to perform," the statement says.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, the deputy mufti of the republic, Abdulla Salimov, reported that wearing niqabs in Dagestan is temporarily banned, taking into account the conclusion of the fatwa department issued the day before. He reported that the mufti of Dagestan had decided on a temporary ban "until the identified threats are eliminated and a new theological conclusion is made."
Salimov explained that one of the grounds was an appeal from the Ministry of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic, which spoke of a threat to the security of the region's population. Another ground was the competent conclusion of the fatwa department, issued on July 2.
The overwhelming majority of Russian Muslims supported the Dagestani mufti.
The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, said on June 29 that wearing niqabs in Russia should be banned.
The spiritual leader of Dagestan's Muslims, Akhmad Abdullayev, announced on June 1 that a theological and legal opinion, a fatwa, would soon be issued banning the niqab in the republic. The mufti stressed that a man who does not want to show his wife's face should keep her at home. The ban on wearing the niqab, which completely covers a woman's face, will remain in effect in the region until peace and tranquility return.
The niqab is a symbol not of Islam, but of radical Salafist movements that seek to penetrate and influence the Russian Muslim community. Political scientist Ilya Ukhov expressed this opinion on July 3 in his Telegram channel.
He noted that after the Dagestani muftis temporarily banned the wearing of the niqab, the process in a healthy Muslim environment began to develop. It became known that the authoritative Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus (CCMC) supported this decision and pointed out that wearing the niqab brings discord into interreligious and interethnic relations in Russia.
Ukhov noted that the KCMSC confirmed that niqab and hijab are different things. Hijab is indeed obligatory for Muslims, while niqab is not obligatory in the Koran or Hadith. Niqab is a local type and form of clothing that may vary depending on the region.
"The niqab is not a symbol of Islam, but rather of radical Salafi movements that are trying to penetrate the environment of Russian Muslims and radicalize it. And Russian Muslims themselves, who adhere to traditional interpretations of religion within the framework of the Hanafi madhhab (religious and legal school within Islam), which is characteristic of Russia, understand this very well. It is precisely they, ordinary Muslims, who are primarily affected by the export of Wahhabi ideology, which directly and extremely negatively affects the image of all Muslims.
For this reason, it is already clear that all sensible Russian Muslims support the position of the Dagestani Muftiate on niqabs, which was demonstrated by the KCMSC appeal. Moreover, the numerous attempts to inspire interreligious and interethnic discord from abroad and to tear Russia, our common home, into pieces, the patriots of which are the overwhelming majority of Russian Muslims, are all too memorable, especially in the North Caucasus," he emphasized.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, the Caucasian muftis have ruled that wearing the niqab in the Russian Federation is harmful to Muslims. The press service of the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus reported that wearing the niqab is harmful to Muslims and threatens discord in interreligious and interethnic relations.
It is clarified that the majority of Islamic scholars believe that an uncovered face and hands are not “awrah” (a part of the body that Muslims are obliged to cover in front of other people).
The Supreme Mufti of Russia and Chairman of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia Talgat Tadzhuddin stated that there was no niqab in the country for 14 centuries.
The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, said on June 29 that wearing niqabs in Russia should be banned. He pointed out that in Asian countries, unlike Russia, such a ban is in effect.
The overwhelming majority of Russian Muslims supported the Dagestani mufti.
The niqab is a head covering that completely covers the face, leaving only a narrow slit for the eyes.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] …but it's less than 1% of total who entered US this year.
DHS called Chinese flight first 'large' deportation flight since 2018.
The Biden Administration is taking a victory lap for its first 'large' deportation flight of Chinese nationals since Biden has been in the White House - 116 Chinese sent back to their home country over the weekend on the US tax-payer dime.
However the charter flight only carried 116 citizens of the People's Republic of China-- less than 1% of the 55,922 Chinese who illegally entered the US in the first eight months of fiscal year 2024, according to government statistics.
The October through June tally of Chinese who have snuck into the US has already surpassed all of fiscal year 2023's total of 52,700, and there are still four months left in FY '24.
The percentage of Chinese deported under Biden is even smaller when you consider at least 153,259 have entered the US without authorization since he took office in January 2021.
The flight comes at a time when US officials have been under intense scrutiny for allowing so many Chinese migrants in, as they flood over the border in record numbers.
The Department of Homeland Security, which announced the flight in a weekend press release, would not say how long the migrants on the flight had been in America.
The flight was conducted in 'close coordination' with the Chinese government the release said.
In the past, the US has been unable to deport Chinese citizens since their own government would not take them back.US officials cannot land planes in China without the government's permission, and repatriation flights from the US to any country usually requires the participation of the home country, DHS officials told DailyMail.com. This might explain why there haven't been an earlier flights under the Biden Administration, one US official added.

[ColonelCassad] China continues to strengthen its presence in Cuba by placing new radar stations near key American facilities. According to the latest data, new stations have appeared in four areas: Bejucal, Wajay, Calabazar and El Salao.
This news has raised serious concerns in the United States, where they believe that the stations can be used by China to intercept confidential information from American military bases, spaceports and ships. American experts emphasize that the stations have a wide range of capabilities and can easily track US military activity in the region.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry has officially stated that these facilities do not conduct active intelligence activities against the United States.

[KavkazUzel] Security forces detained a group of Tyrnyauz residents suspected of participating in "Sharia patrols" and beating up residents of Kabardino-Balkaria, sources reported.
As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, in April 2022, the Urvan District Court sentenced 11 residents of the village of Anzorey to suspended sentences, finding them guilty in the case of an extremist community.
According to the prosecution, the defendants, guided by Sharia norms, created two groups under the leadership of naibs in 2016 and used force against those who did not share their views. The indictment mentioned two cases of beatings and three cases of threats. The defendants' lawyers and relatives claimed that the reason for the case of the extremist community was ordinary domestic conflicts, according to the "Caucasian Knot" article "Anzorei patrols: from Sharia to extremism."
Eight residents of Tyrnyauz have been detained in connection with the "Sharia patrols" case, the anonymous Telegram channel "Sapa Kavkaz" reported today, citing its sources.
According to sources, the 39-year-old city resident is suspected of organizing an extremist community, while the others are suspected of participating in this community, which was created "no later than March 2017." Criminal cases under Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Organization of an extremist community) were opened on July 1, the anonymous Telegram channel Baza reported today. The publication names seven suspects - the alleged organizer of the "Sharia patrols" Askhat, as well as Damrai, Tamaz, Nazhmudin, Zeytun, Timur and Aslan.

Everyone applauds, saying that we are Ukraine, we are with you, this is our war and so on. But you know, the Hungarian position is different. We do not think that this is our war. And Hungary's interest is not in the continuation of the war, but in peace. And I try to represent the interests of Europe in a fair and objective way, which is different from what they usually did before."

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] …at upmarket Newport Beach mall before she is dragged into a parking lot and run over by suspect's white Toyota.
Armed attackers killed a woman in front of her horrified husband as they attempted to rob the couple outside an upmarket Newport Beach mall, police have said.
The 68-year old woman, named as Patricia McKay from New Zealand, and her husband had been outside a Barnes & Noble at the Fashion Island mall when they were approached by two men at around 3.30 pm on Tuesday.
A 'struggle' ensued, with one of the men fleeing the scene on foot and firing several rounds with a handgun as he did so, according to reports.
The woman was then dragged into the parking lot as the two men got into a Toyota Camry being driven by a third man.
The suspects then ran over McKay as they drove away from the scene, firing shots as they led the police on a high-speed chase, Newport Beach Police Sgt. Steve Oberon told DailyMail.com.
No one was struck by the gunfire, police confirmed.
Cops began following the men in a cross-county pursuit shortly after the violent attack.
They chased them into Los Angeles County after a pair of suspects jumped out near Los Alamitos, CBS reports.
The suspects' car reached speeds of 110mph in the chase on the 105 freeway. Two jumped out of the car and began running around a neighborhood in South Gate.
Police found one of the men hiding behind trash cans outside a house and arrested him.
They also tracked down and arrested two other suspects in the fatal attack.
Newport Beach Police officials identified the suspects as Jaden Cunningham, 18, of Lancaster, Malachi Eddward Darnell, 18, of Los Angeles, and Leroyernest Joseph McCrary, 26, of Compton.
All three were booked on suspicion of homicide, robbery with a firearm and conspiracy.
The woman's husband was not injured in the attack, police said, and the gunfire did not result in any other injuries.
'It is a shock,' Newport Beach Police Sgt. Steve Oberon said. 'It just doesn't happen normally here.'
[ABC7CHICAGO] Dozens of pro-Palestinian protestors walked free Tuesday, after having their charges dropped following their arrests in May.
Now, some local leaders are concerned this sends the wrong message, with the Democratic National Convention just a month away.
"None of us showed up to be arrested. I didn't show up to be arrested," protester Jeffery Sun said. "We're trying everything we can because of the ongoing genocide in Palestine."
Sun is one of the 80 protesters whose charges were dropped after being arrested for criminal trespassing when creating an encampment at the Art Institute of Chicago.
The Art Institute said earlier this summer they would not pursue prosecution against their students. And the state's attorney's office referenced their peaceful protest policy as the reason for dropping the charges. But others say this sends the wrong message.
"No question that crimes were committed during this illegal encampment, there was criminal trespassing. There was refusal to disperse and follow lawful orders. There was vandalism; there was assault. Several police officers were physically attacked," 2nd Ward Ald. Brian Hopkins said.

Hopkins said he's working with the Secret Service and Chicago police to prepare for the Democratic National Convention, where many protests are expected.
"They need to be prosecuted. If we're not willing to do that, then we as a society are saying we're willing to let protesters do whatever they want, without regard to the damage that they cause," Hopkins said.
"They did not have a case against us; I think on some level they just did not want to actually engage with considering what protesting genocide means," Sun said.
Daniel Goldwin, executive director for the Jewish United Fund, said he believes in free speech, but worries after seeing places like Buckingham Fountain recently vandalized, that protesters are taking things too far.
"If they have a place and a location that the government has established, 'here is a place that's appropriate for you to speak your mind and be heard,' then they should go there," Goldwin said. "But there are rules. And there are limits to what is allowed under free speech."
Those who had their charges dropped said they have a protest scheduled for July 4 at Millennium Park.
