Tulsi Gabbard speaks in video.
[X] Biden’s out, Kamala is in. Don’t be fooled: policies won’t change. Just like Biden wasn’t the one calling the shots, Kamala Harris won’t be either. She is the new figurehead for the deep state and the maidservant of Hillary Clinton, queen of the cabal of warmongers. They will continue their efforts to engulf the world in war and taking away our liberty.

Biden drops out. Endorses Kamala
[FoxNews] President Biden announced Sunday that he will suspend his 2024 re-election campaign amid mounting pressure from within the Democratic Party for the president to end his 2024 bid after a disastrous debate performance last month.

The unprecedented announcement came as an increasing number of Democrat lawmakers had begun to publicly call for Biden to step aside and the party's leadership reportedly was engaged in efforts to convince Biden, 81, he could not win in November's general election against former President Trump, the 2024 GOP nominee who Biden defeated four years ago to win the White House.

And Biden quickly offered his "full support and endorsement" for Vice President Kamala Harris to take over as the party's presidential nominee.

"It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president," Biden wrote in a public letter. "While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interests of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term."

Biden said he will formally address the nation later this week about his decision.

The Trump campaign quickly started fundraising off the blockbuster news. Within 440 minutes of the preisdent's announcement, the Trump campaign put out a fundraising post on X with the subject line, "Biden just suspended his campaign."

#20  The Biden-Clinton-Harris wing of old-demokrat kleptocrats are now aligned against Obama and the zealot/ideologues for control of the Presidency/government lottery. Hilda just endorsed Kamala and Obama did not. Signals to minions have been set. Both sides will play nice for about a week and then the blackbooks open and the battery-counterbattery fires begin. Interesting and the quality of the dirt, when it gets to stuff that can be collected by sources only governmental resources like the 3-letters command, will show where the Deep State betting is going and who they gave it to. Fascinating.

BUT...the people in the WH, The Foreign Policy/National Security leadership at senior levels, are ALL going to taking their eyes off the ball, polishing resume's and sucking up. The already amateur-hour level of attention will rapidly diminish, and Iran, Russia, China, Cuba, and mutts from every third rate-shithole will know it and see this as the moment to act! This is a DEFCON 2 moment my friends....

#22  My bet is Hillary comes on board as veep to mind the store and keep Kammy looking over her shoulder. Ideal Dem candidates are then Sherrod Brown with Tulsi Gabbard. Sherrod offsets Vance and can play “the adult in the room.” Tulsi punches the DEI buttons and is also a vet. She can play up reconciliation with the Dems the way Vance did with Trump to chase the swing votes. More mainline candidates increase making the margin of cheat believable

#27  There are questions being floated as to why Biden doesn't resign now instead of finishing out his term.

Perhaps it would be because of who's in line for a President Harris' Vice President until January. That would scr*w up the Senate.

That and she'd be the first female Prez instead of Saint Swillery.

CDC Tightens Border Restrictions for (canine) Dogs
[Epoch Times] A bipartisan group of senators called on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) not to go ahead with a previously announced rule that would restrict the number of dogs coming into the country that’s slated to go into effect next month.

The CDC’s new requirement on importing dogs into the United States is set to go into effect Aug. 1. The agency rules desgined to stop the spread of rabies, mandates that dog owners show documentation and meet age requirements in order to have a dog enter the country. A rule published in the Federal Register says that U.S. Customs officers will enforce the measure at border crossings.

Government Corruption
Crusading J6 attorney pays huge price for defending pro-Trump patriots
[World Net Daily] WASHINGTON — The turn of a few key events may change the fate of the Jan. 6 political prisoners now staring down the dark tunnel of a decade or more in prison for seditious conspiracy.

While the re-election of Donald Trump in November would almost guarantee the leaders of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers a presidential pardon, a series of recent Supreme Court rulings may likewise end up cutting time off the lengthy prison sentences they were handed for what many consider no greater crime than "wrongthink."

On June 28, SCOTUS ruled the Justice Department's use of 18 U.S.C. 1512(c)(2), in conjunction with the most serious criminal charges leveled against former President Donald Trump and an ever-growing number of Jan. 6 defendants, is unconstitutional.

The statute says an offender who "(1) alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object's integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding; or (2) otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both."

The trouble is, in all of American history the DoJ had never used this statute to prosecute demonstrators, even when protests descended into skirmishes, riots, arson, assault, death or worse. Prosecutors, in effect, invented previously non-existent crimes, as if they were the U.S. Congress.

The Supreme Court's ruling should put a precipitous halt to the government's over-prosecutorial adventurism of nonviolent offenders whose only crime amounts to misdemeanor trespassing, and consequently vacating the convictions of possibly more than a hundred J6ers.

But as criminal defense and civil rights attorney Norm Pattis drafts the appeal for the Proud Boys who were handed the lengthiest prison sentences of all the J6 protesters, he is preparing to face defiant federal prosecutors who remain hellbent on circumventing the Constitution and the Supreme Court so they can bury their political opposition when they return to the courtroom.

"It appears the Justice Department is just digging in, pretending nothing ever happened, and baiting the defendants to raise the 1512 Obstruction issues on appeal on the theory that the DOJ may be able to salvage those convictions," Pattis told WorldNetDaily in an exclusive interview.

Cue the Grassy Knoll Theme
[PeakProsperity] Audio Analysis Is 100% Clear: Trump & Crowd Were Shot At By Two Separate People

There’s zero doubt. Two separate weapons were fired toward Trump and the Crowd. One fired 3 rounds, the other(s?) 6 or 7 depending on how many sniper rounds were fired at Crooks. This indicates a conspiracy to assassinate Trump.

#1  Interesting datum. Local Butler official says cops USSS lying: local cops were on traffic control only, so the news about a local sniper team taking a shot at Crooks is bull, leaving the question of who were the three shooters? Crooks, SS Sniper and ?
Posted by: Mercutio || 07/21/2024 10:14 Comments || Top||

#2  I thought I read there were four (4) sniper teams onsite, two USSS, a local and a state team. The second USSS team, farther away, did the kill shot, one of the locals also fired and missed, and Crooks fired multiple times. That seems to match the initial audio depiction of 3 disparate shooting sounds. Early yet and the failure of the USSS/EFFBEYE to report anything is highly suspicious and can only invigorate alternative theories. Really stupid, I expected more from the USSS, my father was an agent on the FDR/Truman WH details for all of WWII..

Secret Service says it denied Trump additional resources in recent years even as his team complained
[CNN] Former President Donald Trump’s security detail had complained they were not being given enough resources and personnel by the Secret Service over the past two years, and the agency acknowledged Saturday it denied some requests.

A spokesperson for the Secret Service said in a statement Saturday that the agency has not provided certain resources in the past but has instead provided other security measures including from local partners.

The news comes amid widespread concerns about how a sniper was able to obtain rooftop access roughly 150 meters from Trump’s position at an outdoor rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last week.

The Washington Post and The New York Times reported earlier Saturday that the Secret Service denied previous request from Trump’s security team over the past two years.

Some close to the former president felt the decisions, which they believed were personal to Trump, came from the top ranks of the agency.

While Trump holds close relationships with members of his Secret Service detail, the relationship between those agents and the upper ranks of the agency has been tense for some time, according to multiple sources familiar with the dynamic.

In response to questions from CNN over whether the Secret Service had denied additional security requests, a spokesperson told CNN the agency makes "modifications" when certain resources are not provided to protectees.

"In some instances where specific Secret Service specialized units or resources were not provided, the agency made modifications to ensure the security of the protectee," Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the Secret Service, wrote in a statement. "This may include utilizing state or local partners....
Or 'Joe Shi* the Rag Man' from DHS.
....to provide specialized functions or otherwise identifying alternatives to reduce public exposure of a protectee."

#7  The security that day was deliberately weakened. While I'm not completely in the "They knew about the shooting and wanted Trump dead" camp (although they would shed no tears and private pop Champaign if he was), it was a deliberate process to bring the USS to that state.

1)First a DEI incompetent chief is pushed into the position by Jill
2) DEI hires and promotement are pushed through the agency preventing competent people from being hired or getting promoted.
3) USS refuses to give Trump more protection. And while it is USS policy to only give candidates the full protection, it was pretty bloody obvious Trump was the guy.
4) Jill decides to have an event on the same day as the rally pulling agents (and I'm assuming the more experienced ones)
5) Trump is now "protected" by his core group he had and a bunch of ones thrown in without adequate training and leaders.

The stage was set for what happened.

Victor Davis Hanson - 'The Biden Titanic'
[American Greatness] Joe Biden’s escalating dementia and the long media-political conspiracy to hide his senility from the public are the least of the Democrats’ current problems.

Biden’s track record as president may be more concerning than his cognitive decline. He has literally destroyed the U.S. border, deliberately allowing the entry of more than 10 million illegal aliens. His callous handlers’ agenda was to import abjectly poor constituencies in need of vast government services without regard for the current struggles of a battered American middle class and poor.

The widespread poverty of a vast new cohort of illegal immigrants could serve as indictments of a "racist," "unequal," and "unfair" America—as if the residents of East Palestine, Ohio or inner-city Chicago had anything to do with the centuries-long corruption and oppression of Mexico and Latin America that daily drives thousands of their own poorest citizens northwards to a society founded on very different ideas than those of their homelands.

Note that the left, neither in Mexico nor in America, never asks why millions of these impoverished people prefer to break into a supposedly racist America. Much less do they even distinguish those principles and values that once made America prosperous, free, and secure from their antitheses that have sadly made much of Latin America mostly poor, without freedom, and insecure.

Biden inherited near-zero real interest rates and inflation at 1.4 percent. Almost immediately, in nihilistic fashion, Biden did to a sound economy what he had done to a secure border. So, he recklessly printed money at a time of spiraling, quarantine-ending demand and supply chain disruption. Middle-class wages never caught up with Biden’s inflation, as prices for key staples are nearly 30 percent higher than when he took office.

The cost of servicing the ballooning national debt at high interest is now nearly $1 trillion per year. The world abroad is aflame, lit by Biden’s inexplicable withdrawal from Kabul, his mixed signals to Vladimir Putin on the eve of his invasion of Ukraine, his deliberate alienation of Israel, his appeasement of Iran and China, and his cuts in the defense budget, coupled with his woke war on mythical "racists" in the military.

Energy prices soared, even as Biden’s green agenda proved unworkable and prompted draining the strategic petroleum reserve and begging foreign oil despots before key elections. The "unifier" Biden by design needlessly alienated nearly half the country, and in his debate, he reiterated why Trump supporters do not deserve his concern. And more ominously and recently, Biden grossly told hundreds of his donors that "it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye"—just days before the attempt on Trump’s life.

Britain
British FM announces new Labour government to restore UNRWA funding
[IsraelTimes] David Lammy says he ‘was appalled’ by Israeli accusations of UNRWA complicity in October 7 ‘but the UN took these allegations seriously’

Britain’s new Labour government said on Friday it would resume funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), in the first major change by the new government to British policy regarding the Israel-Hamas war.

Britain was one of several countries to halt their funding to UNRWA in January, following accusations by Israel that some agency staff were involved in Hamas’s October 7 attack, when thousands of terrorists invaded southern Israel from the Gaza Strip, killing some 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages, starting the ongoing war.

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy told parliament on Friday he was reassured that the agency, which provides education, health and other services to millions of Palestinians in Gaza and elsewhere, had taken steps to ensure it has the “highest standards of neutrality,” including improving vetting.

Lammy described UNRWA as the backbone of aid operations in Gaza, saying it helps feed about half of the territory’s population, and announced the government would provide 21 million pounds ($27 million) in new funding to the agency.

He also said that “with journalists banned from entering, aid agencies are also a vital source of information from the Strip, and their reports are devastating,” beginning with the statistic that “almost 40,000 [have been] killed.”

The figure cited by Lammy appeared to come from the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry, whose toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel says it has killed some 15,000 combatants in battle and some 1,000 terrorists inside Israel during the October 7 attack.

He also cited accounts that malnutrition in Gaza was so severe mothers could not produce breast milk for their children, that diarrhea was found at 40 times its normal prevalence, and that polio had been detected in Gaza.

“Humanitarian aid is a moral necessity in the face of such a catastrophe, and it is aid agencies who ensure UK support reaches civilians on the ground,” he said. “UNRWA is absolutely central to these efforts. No other agency can deliver aid at the scale needed.”

The government’s change in policy comes after Labour’s commanding election victory was dented by the loss of five seats to pro-Palestinian independent candidates.

Britain joins other countries including Japan, Germany, Italy, Australia and Canada that have resumed funding to the agency after initially withdrawing their support in the wake of the October 7-related allegations.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry has charged that “more than 2,135 UNRWA employees are members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, and one-fifth of the principals of UNRWA schools are Hamas activists,” saying “it is impossible to say where UNRWA ends and Hamas begins.”

Lammy cited a review in April, led by former French foreign minister Catherine Colonna, that said Israel had not provided evidence for those accusations. Israel rejected the review’s conclusions.

The British foreign secretary, however, said he was reassured by Colonna’s report “that UNRWA is ensuring they meet the high standards of neutrality, and strengthening its procedures, including on vetting.”

Earlier this month, the Israeli Foreign Ministry sent a letter to UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini listing 108 employees of the agency who Israel says are Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists.

The IDF has also found a Hamas data center located directly beneath UNRWA headquarters in Gaza City, in addition to numerous findings indicating the use of the agency’s assets for terror purposes.

In February, Britain’s then-foreign minister David Cameron said he wanted an “absolute guarantee” that UNRWA would not employ staff who were willing to attack Israel.

Cameron was replaced by Lammy as foreign secretary following the Labour Party’s July 4 landslide election win.

Lammy declined on Friday to elaborate on other elements of the government’s policy with respect to the war and, when asked about potential arrest warrants for Israeli leaders by the International Criminal Court, he said the government was taking legal advice and still deciding its position.

[Hot Air] You have to admit it is bizarre.

The assassination attempt on Donald Trump, in the midst of a contentious presidential campaign against the most famous man on planet Earth, has been almost memory-holed by the federal authorities.

They are saying very little.

Now it's true that for the most part, the media is doing its job digging. They are generally 2 days behind Dan Bongino, but the mainstream media is stretched so thin these days and often staffed by "journalists" who mostly gave up doing journalism when Barack Obama became president that it doesn't surprise me that they are late to the party.

This is more due to their modest competence and the rustiness of their skills than any attempt to bury the facts. They know this is a big story, and are doing their best, however bad that is.

Nevada: Obama Judge Tosses GOP Lawsuit Seeking to Ban Mail-In Ballots Received FOUR DAYS After Election Day
[Gateway] An Obama judge has tossed out a lawsuit by the GOP to ban mail-in ballots in Nevada received up to four days after election day.

The challenge to the state’s law passed in 2021, which is designed to allow Democratic organizers to commit fraud and steal elections from Republicans, was dismissed by Obama-appointed Federal District Court Chief Judge Miranda Du as lacking standing.

In her 15-page ruling, Du said there was no evidence that the plaintiffs "have suffered, or will likely suffer, an injury" from the rules, which allow Democrats and corrupt election officials to "find" the required number of votes to steal elections in which Republican candidates have a small but surmountable lead.

"It does not necessarily follow that mail ballots arriving after Election Day will skew Democratic," she wrote. "And even if later-arriving mail ballots have favored Democrats past elections, it is far from guaranteed that Nevada voters will behave similarly this November."

Give the snail pace for the USPS since 2020.

How about at least not accepting for count and holding unopened, all ballots with a US Postmark AFTER the Election date?

Then have those envelops opened only by State Police investigators, while witnessed by a Political Party Candidate appointed poll watcher.

Have those Post Election ballots each assigned a tracking serial #, fingerprinted, counted and the prints and results entered into a database.

Then run and eliminate all matching fingerprint stuffed ballots.

ID the Stuffers, arrest and charge them with Felony Civil Rights Violations for each ballot found matching another.

#3  Interesting ruling because I recall in the 2020 Pennsylvania lawsuit about counting ballots the judge ruled ‘plaintiffs should have sued before the election; not after’. So there you have it. Per-election=no standing —— post-election = too late to change the rules.

Clarice Feldman: What a Week!
By Clarice Feldman
The three top stories of the week are the Crowdstrike failure which interrupted internet service to millions; the attempted assassination of Donald J. Trump, and the ongoing Democratic coup against President Biden. You may recall that Crowdstrike was the source of the lie that Russians hacked the DNC files, so I have no sympathy for them. Apparently, there is little legal recourse for the victims of this outage, but I can imagine many institutions and businesses will be reconsidering continuing this service.

As for the attempted assassination, it bears a resemblance to the Crowdstrike outage in that it underscores the growing incompetence, lack of resilience, and poor preparation that marks so much of modern life here. Many have linked to a wonderful must-watch video of Ugandan kids reenacting the event. To me, the most amazing thing is that within 24 hours of the event, these kids in apparently a poor neighborhood in Africa, saw what happened, reenacted it with Trump as the hero, and then it was videoed, posted on Tik Tok, and seen around the world without filtering. The ability to instantly see, video, and transmit around the globe is amazing and underscores how rapidly the news business is changing. (It’s another reason why X, the largest free speech platform in the world, is so successful.)

As for the performance of the Secret Service, the number of shooters and the backstory about the attempted assassin itself, there are many questions which require further investigation and analysis. For one thing, there are reports that the Service was shorthanded because it had to assign its best agents to another event that day by Jill Biden in Pittsburgh. Was this a deliberate attempt to draw off agents? One commentator thinks it was suspiciously so.

Bangladesh army enforces curfew as students-led protests spiral, death toll reaches at least 105
[NY Post] Bangladesh soldiers patrolled the deserted streets of the capital, Dhaka, on Saturday during a curfew meant to quell deadly student-led protests against government job quotas that have killed at least 105 people this week.

A suspension on internet and text message services has remained in place since Thursday, cutting off Bangladesh from the world as police cracked down on protests that have continued despite a ban on public gatherings.

Overseas telephone calls mostly failed to connect, while the websites of Bangladesh-based media organizations did not update, and their social media handles remained inactive.

In addition to the deaths, the clashes have injured thousands, according to data from hospitals across Bangladesh. The Dhaka Medical College Hospital received 27 dead bodies between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday.

For five days, police have fired tear gas and hurled sound grenades to scatter protesters as demonstrators clashed with security personnel, throwing bricks and igniting vehicles.

The demonstrations — the biggest since Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was re-elected for a fourth successive term this year — have also been fuelled by high unemployment among young people, who make up nearly a fifth of the South Asian nation’s 170 million people.

With the death toll climbing and police unable to contain the protests, Hasina’s government imposed the national curfew and deployed the military.

The curfew was eased for two hours from noon on Saturday to allow people to shop for supplies and complete other chores, television channels reported.

It will last until 10 a.m. on Sunday, when the government will assess the situation and decide the next course of action, the reports added.

Those venturing out on the streets had their identification cards inspected by army personnel at different check points, TV footage showed.

The nationwide unrest broke out over student anger against the controversial quotas for government jobs, including 30% for the families of those who fought for independence from Pakistan.

Hasina’s government had scrapped the quota system in 2018, but a court reinstated it last month.

The state appealed against the reinstatement and the Supreme Court suspended it for a month, pending a hearing on Aug. 7.

In the central Dhaka district of Narsingdi, protesters stormed a jail on Friday and freed over 850 inmates before setting fire to the facility, TV channels reported, citing police. Scattered incidents of arson were also reported on Saturday.

Hasina dropped plans to leave on Sunday for visits to Spain and Brazil due to the protests, the AFP news agency reported, citing her press secretary.

Many opposition party leaders, activists and student protesters had been arrested, said Tarique Rahman, the exiled acting chairman of the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party.

Police arrested Nahid Islam, a leading coordinator of the students’ agitation, at 2 a.m. on Saturday, the protesters said in a text message.

Israel strikes Iran-backed Houthis after Tehran proxy attacked Jewish state: 'Significance is clear'
[FoxNews] NSC spokesperson says US 'not involved' in Yemen strikes, and didn't 'coordinate or assist' Israel with them.

Israel’s air force on Saturday launched surgical strikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran-sponsored Houthi terrorist regime in Yemen.

According to an Israel Defense Forces statement, "A short while ago, IDF fighter jets struck military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the area of the Al Hudaydah Port in Yemen in response to the hundreds of attacks carried out against the State of Israel in recent months."

In a video statement posted on X, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that, "The port we attacked is not an innocent port. It was used for military purposes; it was used as an entry point for deadly weapons supplied to the Houthis by Iran." Netanyahu, who is due to address Congress next week, congratulated the IDF and Air Force for the operation and warned: "I have a message for Israel's enemies: don't misunderstand us. We will protect ourselves in every way, on every front. Anyone who harms us will pay a very heavy price for his aggression."

Netanyahu noted that the port was over 1000 miles away from Israel's borders, saying "It makes it clear to our enemies that there is no place that the long arm of the State of Israel will not reach."

On Friday, the Houthi movement fired a lethal drone into Tel Aviv, resulting in the death of an Israeli and at least 10 injured and severe damage to buildings. The strike took place near the U.S. consulate building in Tel Aviv.

Gallant continued "The Houthis attacked us over 200 times. The first time that they harmed an Israeli citizen, we struck them. And we will do this in any place where it may be required. The blood of Israeli citizens has a price. This has been made clear in Lebanon, in Gaza, in Yemen, and in other places. If they will dare to attack us, the result will be identical."

A Houthi spokesperson said via a public Telegram board message that Israeli airstrikes targeted civilian facilities, oil tanks and a power station in al-Hudaydah.

Houthi-linked media reported that several people were killed, according to Iran International. A Houthi official told the pro-Hezbollah news outlet in Lebanon, Al Mayadeen, that the Houthi regime will retaliate against Israel for the IDF strikes in Lebanon. The U.S.-designated terrorist entity, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthi regime and the Islamic Republic of Iran form the anti-American and anti-Israel "axis of resistance."

Iran International noted the IDF strikes on Saturday hit oil refining facilities in the Hodeidah port, according to sources cited by Al-Masirah TV, the main television news outlet run by the Houthi movement.

The Saudi Arabia-owned Al Arabiya reported that 12 Israeli aircraft, including an F35, attacked the port of Hodeidah.

The Friday drone attack unsettled the Israeli public because the country’s aerial defense failed to intercept the lethal projectile, possibly because of human error. Tel Aviv is the second-largest city in the Jewish state. Israel’s aerial assault in Yemen appears to be the first-ever IDF attack on the Arab country that has been ravaged by the Houthi movement.

A National Security Council spokesperson told Fox News that the U.S. was not involved in the strikes. "We’ve been in regular and ongoing contact with the Israelis following the strike in Tel Aviv that killed an Israeli civilian on Friday morning. We fully recognize and acknowledge Israel’s right to self-defense. The United States was not involved in today’s strikes in Yemen, and we did not coordinate or assist Israel with the strikes. We refer you to the Israelis for more information."

Washington Post proves that DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas *LIED*
[Twitter]

… about the denial of Trump team security requests.

“The assertion that a member of the former president’s security team requested additional security resources that the U.S. Secret Service or the Department of Homeland Security rebuffed is absolutely false,” said Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service.
Former Chicago PD spokeshole. Referred to as "Google Me" by Second City Cop
The Washington Post later reported "Guglielmi said the agency had learned new information indicating the agency’s headquarters may have in fact denied some requests for additional security from Trump’s detail and was reviewing documentation to understand the specific interactions better."

The Congress already had enough justification to impeach DHS Secretary Mayorkas over deliberately causing a border crisis. The Secret Service's mishandling of the Trump assassination attempt and the DHS cover-up add to the disgraceful record of one of the worst Cabinet officials in U.S. history.

Mayorkas should have been removed from office a long time ago. The fact he is still there means that the Biden administration and the Congress feel they are above accountability to the American people.

KP govt to form commission for probe into Bannu incident
[GEO.TV] The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government on Saturday announced to form a commission to conduct a transparent investigation into the Bannu incident in which at least four people were killed while several others sustained injuries.

The development comes a day after the non-combatants were killed in a firing incident during a protest rally in Bannu district against the worsening law and order.

The protest was staged on the call of the trader community, where a complete shutter-down strike was observed. They were demanding action against the gangs operating in the city and its adjoining areas.

Many people were also injured due to the stampede.

"KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has taken notice of the ongoing situation in Bannu and announced the formation of a commission for transparent investigation of the incident," said Adviser on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif.

The adviser said that the commission will conduct a transparent and impartial investigation and submit its report which will be made public and legal action will be taken against those responsible.

He also said that the commission's report would identify those who were involved in the incident, stressing that rumours and unverified allegations should be avoided before the report.

Barrister Saif said that security is usually on high alert in sensitive places. He highlighted that the sensitive nature of the area was also the reason behind the incident.

He advised the people to remain careful amid the ongoing wave of terrorism.

Hostage's relative says there's 'no question where Trump stands' after Hamas warning
Responding to this story from yesterday.
[NYPOST] Families of Israeli hostages fear political upheaval in the US will pull focus from their missing loved ones — and are desperate for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to announce a deal to bring them home when he addresses Congress on Wednesday.
The anti-Bibi group, anyway. The pro-Bibi families and returned hostages are desperate for the prime minister to drive the war against Hamas, et al until they surrender and voluntarily return those they hold. They just aren’t the ones emoting photogenically.

"There is no question where Trump stands on this issue, specifically with the statement he just made," Goren said.

"There remains some issues that need to be resolved, that need to be negotiated,"
…like whether or not Israel is allowed to defend itself, and whether or not Hamas will be in charge after all this is over — minor questions, indeed…
Blinken said at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado. "We’re in the midst of doing exactly that."

US declassifies data on strategic nuclear weapons
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] As of September 2023, the United States had 3,748 nuclear warheads at its disposal, which were intended to equip strategic forces. This was reported by the press service of the National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA) on the official website.

In October 2021, Washington last announced data on the quantitative composition of its nuclear arsenal. After that, the authorities began to hide this information.

According to the agency, the 2023 figures indicate that the stockpile has declined 88% from its peak of 31,255 warheads at the end of fiscal year 1967. Compared with the end of fiscal year 1989, the decline was 83%. At that time, the United States had 22,217 of these weapons.

As reported by the Federation of American Scientists, in 2024 the United States already had only 3,708 nuclear warheads.

The NNSA also noted that Washington dismantled 12,088 nuclear warheads between fiscal years 1994 and 2023. Since September 1991, the number of non-strategic nuclear weapons in the country has been reduced by more than 90%.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, on June 7, US Presidential Aide Pranay Vaddi said that US President Joe Biden had signed new instructions on the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons. He did not rule out that the US nuclear arsenal could increase in connection with them.

On June 8, during a speech on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on this statement by the United States, noting that the Russian authorities will respond to Washington’s statements about increasing its nuclear arsenal in accordance with its nuclear doctrine.

On June 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia will continue to develop the nuclear triad, as it is a guarantee of strategic deterrence and balance of power in the world.

EU promises $435m in aid over fear of Palestinian Authority's collapse
They’ve been looking for an excuse to do so.
[GEO.TV] The European Commission said on Friday it would provide the Palestinian Authority with 400 million euros ($435.5 million) in emergency financial support in the coming two months amid concerns within the EU that the authority could collapse.

The money will be disbursed in the form of grants and loans in three payments between July and September, subject to progress in the implementation of the reform agenda of the Palestinian Authority, the Commission said in a statement.
grants and loans which will disappear like dust
It had earlier signed a letter of intent with the PA setting out a strategy to address its budgetary and fiscal situation.

"Together, we are laying the groundwork for economic and political stability in the West Bank," European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said.

Royal Navy reports drone attack on vessel near Yemen
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On the night of July 20, unknown assailants attacked a ship in the Red Sea off the coast of Eritrea, 64 nautical miles from Yemen, the UK Navy's Maritime Trade Coordination Centre reported.

Reuters, citing a source familiar with the matter, said a container ship flying the Liberian flag was attacked. The ship sustained minor damage as a result of two strikes, the British center said in a statement.

"The first attack was carried out using an unmanned aerial vehicle, which exploded in close proximity to the vessel, causing minor damage. For the second attack, an unmanned boat was used, which exploded near the vessel," the center's press service noted.

Later, drones appeared near the ship again, the report also said. The crew is safe, and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway, the press service added.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, the day before the center reported that a British ship was attacked in the Gulf of Aden off the coast of Yemen. The ship's crew was not injured.

In the fall of 2023, amid the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, representatives of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) began attacking ships associated with Israel and its allies. The Houthis threatened to prevent Israeli-affiliated ships from passing through the Red Sea until the operation in the Palestinian enclave ceased. In January 2024, the US and UK began retaliatory strikes against Yemeni rebel positions.

Ansar Allah leader Abdel Malek al-Houthi reported that since November 2023, the movement has attacked a total of 162 vessels in the Red and Arabian Seas. The attacks were carried out using ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones and unmanned boats.
It sounds like the Regnum reporter believes this was another little Houthi project.

[REGNUM] Eighty years ago, on July 20, 1944, Germans heard the astonishing news through their home radios (which many secretly called Goebbels-Schnauze - "Goebbels' snout") - an attempt had been made on the life of the leader of the German nation, Adolf Hitler. The Führer was alive and well, Goebbels' propagandist emphasized. But for the Germans, who (at least outwardly) had no doubt that "Germany is Hitler, and Hitler is Germany," this was a sudden realization that the threat to the Reich came not only from the "Russian front," but also from within. In fact, the Nazi "thousand-year empire" began to be undermined from within quite a long time ago. Moreover, in the environment that was supposed to become the pillar of National Socialism.

Tunisia president Kais Saied says he will seek new term in October election
[NEWARAB] Tunisian President Kais Saied, who grabbed wide-ranging powers two years after his 2019 election, announced on Friday he will seek a new five-year term in an election set for October.

"I officially announce my candidacy for the October 6 presidential election in order to keep up the fight in the battle for national liberation," Saied, who has ruled by decree since suspending parliament in July 2021, said in a video released by his office.

Speaking in the southern region of Tatouine, the 66-year-old said he was answering the "country's sacred call" which left him no choice but to run for a second term.

Several would-be challengers to the president who had announced their candidacy are either in prison or being prosecuted.

In his announcement Friday, Saied called on "everyone preparing to sponsor (candidates) to steer off any corruption".

Tunisia presidential hopeful gets jail sentence, life ban
[NEWARAB] A potential Tunisian presidential candidate on Friday received an eight-month prison sentence and lifetime ban from running for office, reports said, with NGOs warning of increasing obstacles for President Kais Saied's opponents.
Jack Smith stands in awe
Lotfi Mraihi, head of left-wing opposition Republican People's Union, was arrested on July 3 on suspicion of corruption.

In addition to the prison sentence, Mraihi, who announced his candidacy in early April, was given a lifetime ban from standing in any election, Tunisian media said.

Saied, who was democratically elected in 2019 but launched a sweeping power grab in 2021, has yet to announce whether he will seek a second term, though many believe he will.

A number of his opponents who announced their candidacy for the election expected in October are currently either in prison or being prosecuted.

Issam Chebbi, a leader of the main opposition National Salvation Front who was arrested in February 2023 for "plotting against the state", dropped out of the race on Thursday, his party said.

At least one dead during armed clashes during market in Saudi-occupied Ataq city
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] At least one person was injured on Saturday in armed confrontations in the middle of a popular market east of the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwah province, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition in eastern Yemen

Anthony Fauci Dismisses Trump's Wounds From Assassination Attempt
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Anthony Fauci

dismissed the gunshot wound Donald Trump
...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania...
sustained during Saturday's liquidation attempt, telling CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
viewers: 'he's in the clear.'

Fauci made the comments after the former president, 78, wore a large white bandage over the gunshot wound on his ear throughout the Republican National Convention this week.

'I don't think there is much more to it,' Fauci, 83, said of Trump's wounds while talking to CNN host Wolf Blitzer on Friday. 'It was a bullet shot that grazed his ear.'
And Covid-19 is just a common cold virus, dude. No reason to force the population to isolate while shutting down the nation’s economy.
Trump was nearly killed last week when gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks shot up a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania - but there has been no formal update on his condition.

Fauci, who served as chief medical advisor to the president, added that, according to the physician who examined Trump, there was no other further damage.
The point isn't that the bullet only grazed Trump and left a hole in his ear. The reason he got grazed was that somebody tried seriously to murder him. Had he not turned his head precisely when he did, his brains would have splattered the people behind him.

This is the price of mistakes
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Text taken from the Telegram channel of iamsniper.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin is in italics.

[ColonelCassad] Group Aida, book 1. Everyday life of the white mountain

Commander of the Special Forces Group "Akhmat" on the Issue of Mistakes in War
Akhamat is a Chechen unit.
This is the Price of Mistakes

As I said earlier, during the SVO, during assault and sabotage operations, 2 scouts were killed under my command.

2 scouts in 2 years.

This is a tragedy for families, a tragedy for the unit, a tragedy for the country, but in fact, I and our command of Akhmat, sought to minimize personnel losses.
When did minimizing personnel losses become a Russian army thing?
A few months in, when Russian casualties began to mount, word went out to minimize friendly casualties
Thank goodness the generals are trainable. The idea that the Russian people will soon disappear hurts my soul.
One of the postulates of minimizing losses and avoiding them is a clearly planned operation.
Like Butler, PA.

If there was even a drop of doubt in success, the operation was subject to cancellation, and the plan was redone.

Exactly until the plan seemed real.

During assault operations, in addition to creating a "mirror" trench, and practicing the assault and approaches to it, I began to actively use diversionary maneuvers in the form of penetration of sabotage groups, which were supposed to engage in combat and begin to draw the enemy's forces and attention to themselves. Strongholds were cut by smoke screens, giving a corridor for the assault groups to operate.

We got the "Tropa" from the warehouses, which helped the assault troops to pass 60 meters of minefields to the stronghold.

Having collected a set of tactical maneuvers in the group's arsenal, we quite successfully carried out combat missions to storm enemy fortified areas.

Always wounded, but never killed.

Remembering April 1, 2024, and the task of storming the approach to the mountain, I have been spinning and reviewing the recording of the assault in my head for several months.

What went wrong? Where did I make a mistake?

Two scouts died, and this was my fault as a commander who did not notice something somewhere.

What did I make a mistake in? Only in one thing: I did not have normal electronic warfare to protect against airdrops, not expecting that the group would be delayed waiting for the consolidation platoon.

Two airdrops that took the lives of two of my scouts haunted me for a long time in dreams the following days.
Mine most often visit me when I'm dreaming about buying groceries. They tell me my list is wrong, or what I forgot.

Such is the price of our mistakes.

Such is war.

I'm waiting for the book in printed form.Group "Aida" is currently working in Volchansk. Not long ago, it had a very big success in ambush actions.

Ex-OSCE officer Bosshard: Western distortion of history indicates preparation for war
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The distortion of the history of World War II, attempts to downplay the feat of the Soviet people and rehabilitate the Nazis and their accomplices are the West's strategy for preparing for war, military analyst, retired Swiss Army lieutenant colonel and former high-ranking OSCE official Ralf Bosshard told the Donetsk News Agency (DAN).

"After 1945, the US Army Military Historical Service hired a large number of German generals to write the history of the war that had just ended. And the gentlemen took the opportunity to embellish their role, to invent a fairy tale about how the German Wehrmacht had always fought fairly, and to explain why they were still defeated by the Red Army," he said.

According to the expert, many of them remained true to their National Socialist convictions and continued to regard the soldiers and officers of the Red Army as “subhumans.” Bosshard emphasized that their self-justification had defined the historiography of German-speaking countries for decades, and today this spirit once again defines reports on the Russian army and the conflict in Ukraine.

“Since 1991, NATO, once created as a defensive alliance, has been waging wars beyond its borders, and the revision of history that the West is conducting at home and imposing on other nations is part of a systematic preparation for military action,” the lieutenant colonel noted.

The military analyst also noted that for years the West had wanted to establish a new "rules-based order" that it could define without consulting countries it had already declared enemies. That is why the Soviet Union's contribution to the defeat of National Socialism is now being downplayed, Bosshard added.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the justification of Nazi criminals and their accomplices leads to tragic, destructive consequences for millions of people. The head of state pointed out the need to firmly and consistently defend the truth about the Great Patriotic War, to resist any attempts to revise Russia's contribution to the great victory.

To counter Nazi propaganda, the Russian leader proposed creating a National Center of Historical Memory in Russia.

There are already enough odd coincidences, security 'lapses' and things that don't add up to consider this a criminal conspiracy. Unfortunately, the likely conspirators are in charge of the investigation. The only hope the American people have of getting to the truth is an independent investigation (which isn't really possible since the FBI has contaminated the evidentiary chain of custody) and/or Congress grabbing on and never letting go until all questions and discrepancies have been explained. The stakes can literally not be higher. If there is no day of reckoning when a former president and current presidential candidate comes within an inch of losing his life, there NEVER will be for anything or anyone in government.

Microsoft says global outage on July 19 affected 8.5 million computers
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The global outage in Microsoft programs on July 19 affected less than 1% of computers running the Windows operating system, the company reported in a blog post.

It is noted that on July 18, independent cybersecurity company CrowdStrike released an update that began to affect IT systems around the world. The failure led to problems in many areas. Problems were encountered in airlines, banks, hospitals, and media in many countries around the world.

The failure did not affect the operation of computers in Russia.

"The CrowdStrike antivirus update affected 8.5 million Windows devices, or less than 1 percent of all Windows PCs. While this percentage was small, the broad economic and societal impact reflects the use of CrowdStrike by enterprises that support many mission-critical services," Microsoft explained.

As reported by IA Regnum, in many countries around the world on July 19, there were failures in the operation of devices with the Windows system. In the morning, users began to complain about the appearance of the "blue screen of death" on devices with Windows 10. The failure affected many companies and government agencies in Australia, the United States, Turkey, Ireland, India, Great Britain, Japan and other countries.

Restoring all systems to full functionality after a global outage in Windows-based technology could take weeks, the British newspaper Guardian suggested, citing the opinion of experts in the field of digital technology.

Experts believe that similar failures could happen again if various companies do not take care to create proper protection and backup copies of important information.

The massive failure of Windows has shown how important import substitution of foreign software is, the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development noted in its commentary.

#4  Microsoft has a real business opportunity here.

That is if they can demonstrate a better cybersecurity system that can seamlessly envelop the Crowdstrike work.

Not sure how the lawsuits will play out. Crowdstrike says the existing service agreements cover situations like the outage and the company would only be liable for some minor refunds. But that may not hold up.

Secret Service honchos denied Trump additional security for 2 years before assassination attempt: damning report
[NY Post] The rank smell continues
Secret Service officials repeatedly rejected Donald Trump’s request for additional security in the two years before last weekend’s assassination attempt, The Post has learned.

The ex-president, 78, asked for more agents and magnetometers at large public events he attended, as well as extra snipers for outdoor venues, four insiders told The Washington Post, which first reported the damning revelation.

Each request was shot down by senior officials who claimed the agency lacked the resources Trump was asking for, the outlet reported.

Secret Service agents, alone with local law enforcement, were responsible for securing the rally when 20-year-old gunman Matthew Thomas Crooks opened fire at the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign outdoor rally in Pennsylvania last Saturday.

Crooks was lying on a rooftop just 130 yards away from Trump when he squeezed off as many as seven rounds, grazing the politician in the ear and killing an audience member who sat behind the stage. Two others were seriously injured.

Outrage at the security lapse led the federal security agency to up Trump’s detail to the same level as President Biden, The Post exclusively reported earlier this week.

The Secret Service initially denied claims that someone from Trump’s camp asked for more help ahead of the deadly shooting as “absolutely false.”

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who has faced mounting pressure to resign in the last week, doubled down on the denials in a meeting with Trump campaign leadership in Wisconsin on Monday, the insiders said.

After massive holes in the ex-president’s security team were revealed, however, the agency has changed its tune.

Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service, admitted to The Washington Post that the agency had denied Trump’s request for additional security, but claimed it had only learned about the new information in the wake of the tragedy.

Trump has continued on the campaign trail despite the terrifying experience, this time with beefed-up security at his disposal.

He was given a “pretty unprecedented level of police officers” Saturday for his indoor event in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where the presidential hopeful and his new running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, were welcomed by roughly 14,000 adoring supporters.

Courtesy of Skidmark, the Daily Mail’s take:
Secret Service chiefs REJECTED Trump's requests for more agents and snipers at his events for two...

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] … years before assassination attempt - as their shocking reasons are revealed.

Secret Service officials refused to provide Donald Trump with additional security in the two years prior to last weekend's assassination, according to a report.

The damning details revealed that the ex-president's request for more agents and magnetometers at events he attended was denied.

Four insiders told The Washington Post that each request was rejected by senior officials. The higher-ups of the Secret Service allegedly claimed that the agency lacked the resources Trump was asking for.

It has also been revealed that Trump was receiving less protection - after losing the election and his bid for a second term in 2020 - than other former presidents and major party presidential candidates.

These oversights have been unearthed in the aftermath of the attempted assassination of Trump, 78, last Saturday at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Crooks' attempt on Trump's life was enabled by multiple instances of negligence on behalf of the security agents. Somehow, Crooks was able to fly a drone over the rally site the same day as the event - which investigators believe was an effort on his behalf to scope out the situation and prepare for his assassination attempt. Additionally, he was spotted and then watched by law enforcement at the Trump rally site - because they sensed something wasn't right - and yet they managed to lose sight of him before the carnage unfolded, according to reports.

They now face a torrent of questions about how the first assassination attempt in 43 years was allowed to happen.

Last Saturday night, FBI Special Agent Kevin Rojek released a statement saying that it was 'surprising' that Crooks managed to fire off so many shots.

There have been suggestions that routine checks would have eliminated all potential threats - which calls into question the standard of the Secret Service under the current administration. Experts have told DailyMail.com that these failings are a symptom of an 'agency in crisis' after decades of understaffing and corrupt promotion and hiring practices.

John Koskinen, from the nonpartisan National Academy of Public Administration, led an 18-month study into the Secret Service's workforce in 2019.
That was on President Trump’s watch. No wonder they were out to get him.
Saturday's events shocked him, but Koskinen was not surprised by the whistleblower claims, telling DailyMail.com that the Service has been struggling to cover an increasing number of people and respond to more sophisticated threats in recent years.

'Life has gotten much more complicated,' he said, 'the threats are more sophisticated and ongoing, and now you're in the middle of a campaign.'

Cheatle, 53, was appointed director of the Secret Service in 2022, having worked for the agency for 27 years before leaving in 2019 to head up global security at PepsiCo.

Announcing her selection, President Joe Biden revealed that 'Kim' had 'served on my security detail when I was Vice President' and he and Dr. Jill Biden 'came to trust her judgment and counsel'.
Sure, but he is an idiot.

Earlier, it was reported that Israel carried out its first direct airstrikes on Yemen on July 20. The Israeli Air Force attacked fuel depots in the port city of Hodeida in western Yemen. The attack on the port was carried out by 12 Israeli warplanes, including F-35s.

The Ansar Allah (Houthi) government's Health Ministry confirmed the Israeli airstrike. The raid on the port left people dead and wounded, the ministry said.

Earlier that day, the Royal Navy's Maritime Trade Coordination Centre reported that unknown assailants had attacked a ship in the Red Sea off the coast of Eritrea, 64 nautical miles from Yemen, on the night of July 20. The ship sustained minor damage as a result of two strikes, the British centre said in a statement.

The day before, the center reported that a British ship had been attacked in the Gulf of Aden off the coast of Yemen. The ship's crew was not harmed.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, in the fall of 2023, against the backdrop of the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, representatives of the Yemeni movement Ansar Allah (Houthis) began attacking ships associated with Israel and its allies. The Houthis threatened that they would not allow ships associated with Israel to pass through the waters of the Red Sea until the operation in the Palestinian enclave ceased.

"The Israeli aggression [on Hodeida] will not go unanswered by Ansar Allah and will not prevent the movement's supporters from continuing to support the Palestinian people," Al Masirah TV reported.

The Houthis condemned the Israeli attack, including on diesel fuel tanks and a power plant, which killed and injured civilians.

The movement's Supreme Political Council stressed that Israel's attack would only strengthen the Yemeni people's support for the Palestinians.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, on July 20, Israel carried out direct airstrikes on Houthi positions in Yemen for the first time. The Israeli Air Force attacked fuel depots in the port city of Hodeida in western Yemen. According to Al Arabiya TV channel, the strike was carried out by 12 Israeli combat aircraft. Among them were F-35s. Al Masirah TV channel reported that the raid on the port of Hodeida resulted in casualties.

The IDF said the strikes were in response to hundreds of Houthi attacks on Israel in recent months.

At least 80 injured in Israeli airstrike on Yemen's Hodeida
Dozens of people were injured in Israeli airstrikes on Hodeida in western Yemen. This was reported by the SABA news agency, citing the Ansar Allah (Houthi) government's Health Ministry.

The IDF's strike on oil tanks and a power plant in Hodeida province has resulted in 80 casualties, most of them from severe fires.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, on July 19, in Israel, in the center of Tel Aviv, an explosion occurred, caused by the fall of an "air target", the IDF confirmed. To protect the country's airspace, the Israeli Air Force increased patrols. The explosion occurred near the US consulate, one person was killed, ten more were injured.

Yemeni Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saria claimed responsibility for the incident. According to Maariv, the IDF did not confirm that the explosion was actually prepared by Yemeni rebels.

The attack on Yemen's Hodeida port was a direct response to the Houthi drone strike on Tel Aviv and hundreds of other attacks. Israel will defend itself by any means necessary, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video address to the nation on July 20.

The Houthis have promised to respond to the Israeli military's attack on the port city of Hodeida.

has killed the journalist Mohammed Abu Jasser and his family, Paleostinian medical officials announced on Saturday.
Was he holding hostages too?
The journalist’s home in the Jabalia area was targeted at dawn, making him the latest of 161 journalists to be killed in the enclave since the start of Israel’s latest war on Gaza on 7 October.
"journalists"
Local Paleostinian media reported his two children and wife were also killed in the strike.

The Gaza based al-Jazeera journalist Anas Al Sharif confirmed the killing of Abu Jasser, sharing video footage of his destroyed home in a post on X.

"We went to sleep last night, just like anyone else as normal, with women and kiddies near us, and Mohammed my friend was there. We woke up to the sound of air strikes, smoke and fire. We woke up at around 3am and ran, and saw bodies torn apart and strewn across the road outside," an eyewitness and friend of Abu Jasser says in an interview with al-Jazeera Arabic following the strike.

Another neighbour of Abu Jasser’s told al-Jazeera his home was "directly targeted" causing widespread damage.

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 38,919 journalists since October and maimed around 89,622 others in the same time frame.

The war on the enclave has levelled entire neighbourhoods and plunged the Strip into a deep humanitarian crisis.

Democratic Party plans virtual roll call for president between Aug. 1-7
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

The Democratic Party plans to formally nominate Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity....
for president in an early virtual roll call vote in early August, the Democratic National Committee said Friday, as calls for the 81-year-old leader to step down from the campaign mount.

The DNC (If you're white you ain't right!)
...Democrat National Committee, where all those off-the-wall talking points originate...
's convention rules committee met virtually Friday and decided the vote would not take place before Aug. 1 or after Aug. 7. The committee said a final date would be set by DNC leadership after a second committee meeting next week.

The 3,896 pledged delegates will be given a 24-hour notice before the virtual ballot window opens.

There also are 700 automatic "superdelegates," which include members of the House and Senate, governors, state party chairs and DNC members. They are not permitted to vote on the first ballot unless it's determined that one candidate has an absolute majority of pledged delegates.

Biden won 99% of the pledged delegates.

The four-day Democratic convention is scheduled to start Aug. 19 in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
Typically, parties nominate their candidates at their national conventions, during live roll-call votes. In 2020, the process was conducted virtually because of the pandemic.

Party leaders say the virtual roll call is necessary to avoid litigation in Ohio, which requires major parties to have a presidential nominee by 90 days from the presidential election to appear on the ballot. This year that date falls on Aug. 7.

"My goal as counsel is to ensure we address and avoid all unnecessary legal risk on the way. And that's why we need a virtual nominating process," Dana Remus, a former White House counsel advising the DNC on the process, said. "It's why the wisest, most prudent course is to have that process conclude in time to allow us to file a certified nomination in Ohio by Aug. 7."

Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison on Friday described his excitement to "renominate President Joe Biden and Vice President Kámala Harris

" and to promote the "Biden-Harris ticket."

So far, 35 members of Congress have called for Biden to leave the racwe.

, a Democrat seeking reelection, called for Biden to not seek reelection.

Other Senators seeking a change are Peter Welch of Vermont, Jon Tester of Montana and Martin Henrich of New Mexico. All but Welch are seeking reelection.
Prominent members of the House urging him to at least consider leaving the race are Adam Schiff

He currently serves as the chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In a manner reminiscent of Joe McCarthy, on March 22, 2017, in a interview with Chuck Todd on MSNBC Schiff claimed there was “more than circumstantial evidence now” that Donald Trump's campaign colluded with Russia." Todd followed up by asking if he had seen direct evidence of collusion and Schiff responded that there was "evidence that is not circumstantial and is very much worthy of investigation"...>
is Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, Jim Hines of Connecticut and Zoe Lofgren of California. Jamie Raskin of Maryland said Biden should reconsider his decision.

Rep. Mark Takano of California on Saturday posted on Facebook: "Joe, I love and respect you. But the stakes are too high to fail. It's time to pass the torch to Kamala (Harris)."

Biden defiantly has ignored their advice during public appearances and interviews with the media.

Berri rules out Israeli war, urges '7 to 10 days' of dialogue
[An Nahar] Parliament Speaker Nabih Knobby Berri

...perennial Speaker of the Lebanese parliament, head of the Amal Shiite party aligned with Hezbollah, a not very subtle sock puppet of the Medes and Persians...
has ruled out a broad Israeli war on Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
while stressing the need to "stop the genocidal war that Israel is waging on the Paleostinian people."

In an interview with the Milan-based Avvenire newspaper, which is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church, Berri added that "Lebanon does not need new agreements to restore calm and stability in the (southern) border area," noting that "there is a resolution issued by the U.N. Security Council carrying the number 1701 and Lebanon is committed to all its stipulations."

"The international community must press Israel to halt its violation of the terms of this resolution," the Speaker said.

As for the presidential vacuum crisis, Berri said: "Give me 10 days of dialogue among all parliamentary blocs and take a finalization of this juncture."
"Catered meals, of course"
"Dialogue among the blocs would be aimed at reaching an agreement on one, two, three or four candidates within seven to 10 days, in order to go to parliament’s hall and finalize the election with a parliamentary, constitutional and national quorum," the Speaker added.

Florida man arrested for 'written threats to kill' Trump, Vance days after assassination attempt
[FoxNews] A Florida man was accused of making "written threats to kill" former President Trump and Sen. JD Vance and their families just days after a Pennsylvania man attempted to assassinate the 45th president.

The Jupiter Police Department announced that 68-year-old Michael M. Wiseman was arrested on Friday for charges for written threats to kill.
There’s a photo of the miscreant at the link. He looks profoundly unwell.
Authorities alleged that Wiseman wrote threats against the Republican presidential nominee and vice presidential nominee on his Facebook account and also made to members of the Trump and Vance families.
Serious threats or the usual bloviation seen too often in both sides of the aisle, but now being taken seriously by the authorities after they so visibly dropped the ball last weekend?
The police department said it was notified of the threats, including bodily harm, by multiple members of the community.
Once again the common folk do their duty to say something when they see something.
Jupiter, Florida is about 20 miles, or an approximately 30-minute drive, north of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach.

"JPD coordinated the investigation with the United States Secret Service and the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office," the department said. "JPD officers took Wiseman into custody without incident."

Government Corruption
FBI informant Alexander Smirnov's face is finally seen for the first time in unearthed photos after...
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] … being charged with lying to feds about Joe and Hunter Biden bribery claims.
Good lord. Exactly how gullible are those FBI agents?
FBI informant Alexander Smirnov, who was indicted for lying to the feds after claiming Joe Biden took a $5million bribe, has been unmasked for the first time by DailyMail.com. Israeli-American Smirnov, 43, was secretly used for years by the FBI as a trusted Confidential Human Source. But every time he appears in public he goes to great lengths to cover his face to avoid being recognized. But now DailyMail.com has obtained previously unpublished pictures of the man who told his FBI handler he was at meetings with a Ukrainian oligarch who bragged about bribing Joe Biden and his son Hunter with $10million.

Republican lawmakers published an FBI write-up of the claims, and seized upon it as evidence of the president's corruption.

Smirnov now faces 25 years in prison for allegedly fabricating the claims, and is accused of 'high-level' and 'extremely recent' links with senior Russian intelligence officials – including the chief of an assassination squad.
Or is someone trying to gin up another Russia, Russia, Russia!
An FBI report describing his claims about the Bidens became one of the shocking documents in the Republican impeachment probe of the President when it was published last year.

The allegations are now being cast as potential Russian propaganda by Special Prosecutor David Weiss. In federal court filings, Weiss said Smirnov's travel and communication records show he didn't engage with Burisma executives until 2017, and he never met Zlochevsky.

One of Weiss's court submissions claimed Smirnov had 'high-level contacts with Russian intelligence operatives,' and that he passed on 'false information' to the FBI from these sources. The filing said Smirnov told his FBI handlers that one of his confidants was a son of a 'former high-ranking Russian government official,' who 'controls two groups of individuals tasked with carrying out assassination efforts in a third-party country.'

Prosecutors said Smirnov had planned to be back in the US for just two days, before flying to meet his Kremlin spy contacts, when he was arrested in Vegas.

Weiss claimed Smirnov had $6million in 'liquid funds', including $3.8million accessible by his 'wife/girlfriend', who pays his personal expenses from her own account – an apparent reference to Lavrenyuk, 58.

Residency records show her living with Smirnov in San Juan Capistrano, California, until 2023. A three-bed, 2,805 sq ft condo in a Vegas luxury high-rise was purchased in her name for $980,000 in February 2022.

Smirnov has a murky background with ties to trading of penny stock public companies and offshore companies. A source who worked with Smirnov provided company documents showing the FBI informant is linked to a firm called A.S. Financials Ltd in the Republic of Vanuatu, a tiny Pacific island chain off the northeast coast of Australia.

But in February prosecutors charged Smirnov with lying to the FBI by fabricating the bribery story – and suggested that he was in fact a Russian double agent planting Kremlin disinformation.

Smirnov, represented by top Vegas attorney David Chesnoff, has entered a not guilty plea.

Photographs exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com show him partying in Las Vegas, his city of residence before he was thrown in federal prison awaiting trial.

The mysterious informant has never been pictured in public without a mask. At a court hearing on February 20, Smirnov's girlfriend Diana Lavrenyuk, 58, and cousin Linor Shefer, 38, were pictured flanking him as he walked through a gaggle of journalists and photographers with his face covered with sunglasses, a face mask, scarf and hood. Photographs inside the federal courthouse were prohibited.

The unmasked pictures, obtained by DailyMail.com from a source who has worked with Smirnov, show him flying business class with Lavrenyuk, taking a selfie while smoking a cigarette beside the Bellagio Fountain in Vegas, and attending a gala dinner with his girlfriend, who wore a red dress, furs, and a costume mask over her eyes.

Other undated photos show Smirnov dressed in a black suit, red rose boutonniere and gold chain, appearing sloppy with his eyes closed, at a Vegas hotel dinner table with Lavrenyuk posing by his side.

In April CBS News previously obtained a grainy passport photo of Smirnov from several years ago – the only other unmasked picture of the mysterious man.

The Israeli-American kept a low profile while he acted as a paid informant for federal law enforcement over 13 years, helping numerous criminal and counterintelligence probes, according to prosecutors.

His indictment revealed he was the 'Confidential Human Source' who told handlers about alleged 2015 and 2016 meetings with the owner of Ukrainian gas firm Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky, in which the oligarch boasted about bribing Joe and his son Hunter Biden with $5million each.

Smirnov and his girlfriend are pictured again during the same Vegas trip, posing around the dinner table

Despite being named after Smirnov's initials, the firm's sole director and shareholder is his father, Konstantin Smirnov, a Russian-born Israeli resident, 2017 company documents show.

Konstantin is also a partner in Felymos Trades Inc, a company based in the offshore tax haven of Panama, another document obtained by DailyMail.com shows.

Hints of the FBI informant's double-life slipped through to neighbors at his former home in San Juan Capistrano in conversations over dinner at a local steakhouse or backyard barbecue.

'He said he had connections with important people. In one conversation he mentioned that he had a meeting with the Minister of Defense in Afghanistan,' one neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, told DailyMail.com. 'And he had connections with important people in the US.'

'I know he was involved with the government. I know he was originally from the East Bloc. Though I don't think he actually told me that,' said Mike Pastore, a 75-year-old mortgage broker who lives opposite the terracotta-tiled four-bed house where Smirnov resided the past five years before moving to Vegas in 2023.

'From time to time, we talked about geopolitical stuff, and he was well informed. It was an interesting conversation with him… He traveled a lot.'

The government's prosecution of Smirnov for lying is a dramatic reversal of their position from just last year, when FBI director Christopher Wray said that the then-unidentified informant was so valuable to the Bureau's investigations that they could not release a write-up of his interviews with a handler to Republican lawmakers.

And after using the intelligence Smirnov provided for many federal probes over a decade, the new charges against him have opened a can of worms for the government.

Other defendants, who were convicted after federal probes involving Smirnov, have started challenging their charges.

Andrew Hackett, 35, says he is a victim of a government cover-up of Smirnov's involvement in his case, over a pump-and-dump stock trading scheme.

Raad says war's course to become clear within days
[An Nahar] Hezbollah’s top politician Mohammad Raad on Friday noted that the "course" of his group’s conflict with Israel will become clear "within a few days," in an apparent reference to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the U.S.
"We're waiting to see if Biden or Blinken will actually help us out"
"Let us be patient for a few days to see the prospects and the atmosphere that we will move forward in. We will not hesitate or give up our resistant choice and we will not weaken in the face of the arrogance of tyranny and occupation," Raad added.

"In the end the enemy will be forced to accept its situation and its major disappointment and failure," Raad went on to say.

The cross-border violence since October has killed 516 people in Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, according to an AFP tally. Most of the dead have been fighters, but they have also included at least 104 civilians.

On the Israeli side, 18 soldiers and 13 civilians have been killed, according to authorities.

The violence has raised fears of all-out conflict between the two foes, who last went to war in the summer of 2006.

Willing to bet, a significant part of those numbers were Islamic Terrorists from surrounding areas & countries, or their supporters, looking to murder Israel citizens?

Democrat Mayor Arrested for Possession of Child Porn hung out with celebrities and other important people

Ex-Maryland mayor sentenced to more than a century in child pornography case may end up serving a fraction behind bars

[MSN-Law&Crime] The 48-year-old former mayor of College Park, Maryland was sentenced to more than 100 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to 140 charges for the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Associate Seventh Circuit Court Judge Karen H. Mason on Monday ordered Patrick Wojahn to serve 150 years in a state correctional facility, but decided to suspend 120 years of that sentence, authorities announced.

Specifically, Wojahn in August pleaded guilty to 60 counts of distribution, 40 counts of possession, and 40 counts of possession of child sex abuse material with intent to distribute, records show.

Judge Mason also sentenced Wojahn to serve five years of probation upon his release and to register as a sex offender. Under Maryland state law, defendants convicted of nonviolent mostly peaceful crimes are eligible to be released on parole after completing 25% of their sentence. In Wojahn’s case that would be 7 1/2 years.

Effectively, that means that if Wojahn is released and violates the conditions of his probation, he can be sent back to prison for the remaining 120 years of his sentence.

THE SENTENCE
In a news conference following the sentencing hearing, prosecutors said that the CSAM found on Wojahn’s electronic devices was quite disturbing and included pictures and videos of infants and toddlers being sexually abused by adults.

Prosecutors reportedly also said that there was hundreds of child victims being sexually abused in the material found on Wojahn’s devices, noting that Sherlocks were able to identify 52 of the victims, at least one of whom had died by suicide. Several of those victims penned victim impact statements that prosecutors read in court, The Baltimore Sun reported.

As previously reported by Law&Crime, Wojahn in March resigned as mayor of College Park — home to the University of Maryland campus — following his arrest in March 2023.
