#1  No, it isn't the highest available rank in the Army. It is the highest for a NCO (non-commissioned officer).

Walz had it taken away and reduced to E-8 as he didn't finish the requirements to keep the rank so he may have left the service as an E-9, but now he is getting the benefits of an E-8 and is officially retired as one.

Plus the fact he abandoned his men two months before they deployed to Iraq and actually took a command role E-9 instead of a support E-9 shows what a piece of shit he is.

We are already fighting another Islamic/Christian type Crusade. But this time 30+% of America and Europe is no longer serious about GOD, or Christianity.

QUESTIONS:
Why is the National Organization for Women (NOW) so quiet on this and Trans violations of women?

Why does LGBTP? support HAMAS and other radical Islamic's groups? Given these groups widely known, common treatment of LGBT_ _ _ persons is usually being dragged into the streets, and beaten to death in Islamic controlled areas?

Or is the reason the master puppeteers steering them in the background? Which have a goal to weaken or bring down the USA and other nations?

#1  For more than forty years the al-Thani family that rules Qatar has been hand in glove with the international Muslim Brotherhood (which gave rise to Al Qaeda). It provided a home to Qaradawi the MB cadi (religious leader). Despite its miserable reputation it sought support in the USA in great part to keep Saudi Arabia off its back. Stupidly, the US military built a big base there. In the USA itself the Clintons and Brookings Foundation, inter alia, broke bread with the al-Thani and kept their payoffs well disguised. Washingon has coddled the Arab conmen seemingly forever and it is well past time to cut the cord.

Syria: Fighting in eastern Deir Ez-zor kills at least 13
[NEWARAB] Fighting between pro-Iranian groups supporting the Syrian regime and Kurdish-led forces killed 13 people, mostly civilians, a war monitor said on Friday.

Six children were among the victims of intense shelling of Dahla in the eastern province of Deir Ez-zor, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.

Fighting erupted on Wednesday when pro-Iranian fighters attacked Kurdish-held areas, according to the Britannia-based monitor, which relies on a network of sources inside Syria.

The Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) also reported that 11 civilians, mostly women and kiddies, were killed in Dahla.

The SOHR said pro-Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
fighters carried out a "massacre" that "resulted in the death of 11 people, including women and six children," in Dahla.

Two members of Iranian-backed militias were meanwhile killed and three maimed in shelling by the SDF targeting al-Bulil village on the western bank of the Euphrates river, the monitor said.

The US-backed SDF spearheaded the offensive that defeated the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group's self-declared caliphate in Syria in 2019.

Arab-majority Deir Ez-zor province, a resource-rich region which borders Iraq, is bisected by the Euphrates river and home to dozens of local tribal communities, some of whose fighters joined the SDF in its battle against IS.

On Wednesday, pro-Iran groups supervised by Syrian regime officers succeeded in crossing the Euphrates, coming dangerously close to the al-Omar oil fields where American troops are based, the SOHR said.

Pro-Iran fighters were subsequently pushed back to the opposite side of the Euphrates following fighting that left seven dead, among them an SDF fighter, three pro-Iran militia men, and three civilians, it added.

The fighting comes amid growing regional tensions between Iran and its allies on one side, and Israel, currently waging a war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

Iran and Hezbollah have promised to respond to liquidations of the chief of the Paleostinian Hamas

group and the military leader of Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
's Hezbollah movement, widely blamed on Israel.

Iran has provided military support to Syrian President Bashir al-Assad's forces through more than a decade of civil war.

The United States has around 900 troops in Syria that are part of an anti-jihadist coalition and also maintain a base on the Conoco gas field.

In September 2023, the United States intervened to stop similar fighting in Deir Ez-zor from escalating, in a country devastated and fragmented by more than 13 years of war.

'Suspicious item' at White House prompts 'routine closure': Secret Service
[JustTheNews] Several emergency vehicles arrived at the White House on Friday in response to a "suspicious item," the Secret Service confirmed.

Multiple entrances to the White House have been closed off amid the investigation, according to ABC News reporter Selina Wang.

President Joe Biden is currently in Delaware for the weekend while Vice President Kamala Harris is in Arizona.

The incident comes on the same that former President Donald Trump had to ground his plane in Billings, Montana, due to a mechanical issue. He has since departed on another plane to Bozeman, Montana, for a speech.

Cyber
Researcher Uncovers Massive USPS Scam, Hacks Fraudsters' Systems
[Breitbart] A security researcher’s mission to investigate a wave of fraudulent text messages impersonating the United States Postal Service (USPS) has uncovered a massive “smishing” operation, hacking into fraudsters’ systems after they tried to trick him with a bogus package delivery message.

Wired reports that Grant Smith, a red team engineer and founder of offensive cybersecurity firm Phantom Security, began his investigation after receiving a suspicious USPS package delivery text message earlier this year. The message, similar to those received by thousands of others, directed recipients to a website where they were prompted to enter their credit card information and other personal details. This scam is often referred to as “Smishing.”

Recognizing the scam, Smith set out to track down the group responsible for the mass-smishing campaign. Within a few weeks, he had hacked into the scammers’ systems, collected evidence of their activities, and began the process of gathering victim data to provide to USPS investigators and a US bank.

Smith’s findings revealed the staggering scale of the scam. Across 1,133 fraudulent domains used by the scammers, 438,669 unique credit cards were entered, with many victims entering multiple cards. Over 50,000 email addresses were logged, including hundreds from universities and 20 from military or government domains. In total, more than 1.2 million pieces of information were collected, with California being the state with the most victims at 141,000 entries.

The group behind the smishing campaign, identified as the “Smishing Triad” by cybersecurity company Resecurity, operates by selling a customizable smishing kit on Telegram for a monthly subscription of $200. The kit allows scammers to easily create fake websites impersonating various organizations, with USPS being just one of many targets. Resecurity estimates that the Smishing Triad sends between 50,000 and 100,000 scam messages daily, targeting online banking, ecommerce, and payment systems in multiple countries.

Smith’s investigation revealed vulnerabilities in the scammers’ websites, allowing him to access files and databases containing victim information. By reverse-engineering the smishing kit and automating the process of pulling data from the network of fraudulent websites, Smith was able to gather a significant amount of evidence to provide to authorities.

The United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) confirmed that the information provided by Smith is being used as part of an ongoing investigation, with the agency actively working to protect the public, identify victims, and bring the perpetrators to justice.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Manners Are the Adhesive Glue That Binds Society Together
[Real Clear Wire] Convention, customs, manners and civility.

When my daughter Ella was 16, I met her at a local restaurant for dinner. I was already seated when she arrived and before I could hold the chair out for her, she plopped down in the seat next to me. I was livid. I stood up and told her to get her ass out of the chair and stand up. I told her to always wait until the gentleman held the chair out for her, no matter how long it takes. I followed with "you need to demand respect from men, because if you don’t, you’ll never get it."

Manners are important. Indeed, they are the adhesive glue that binds society together and allows it to operate in smooth, orderly and conciliatory fashion. Like all convention, customs and manners developed organically because they served important functions. There was never a top-down Napoleonic Code of Manners that was dictated to the populace by some sort of government edict. I think all would agree that we have seen a degradation of civil society over the past 30 plus years. Our cities are trashed, there’s violence in the streets, and civil adult discourse is rare.

Politicians and talking heads are totally uninhibited from telling not just "straight up lies," but lies that are so fantastically and obvious false that a 3rd grader can immediately recognize the deceit. I attended schools with rigid honor systems and grew up in a culture where such blatant dishonesty made one an outcast and an immediate social pariah, cast out from respectable society. I remember a childhood contemporary was kicked out of boarding school for cheating on a test. At the time, this seemed like a punishment worse than death, as he would have to live with the stigma of dishonor the rest of his life. These long-established honor codes reflected the mores of the culture, anyone who violated these standards polluted the student population and had to be immediately drummed off campus. Today dishonesty seems to be rewarded as long as it advances an agenda.

I have lots of nicknames, Robbie, Jones, Big Rob, Big, B.R., B-aura, Mr. Bread Truck, Professor and a few others, one of which is Mr. Mayor. I don’t know why folks call me Mayor, but I have thought quite a lot of what I would do if I was the mayor of Richmond, or better yet Governor of Virginia. The very first initiative, before any government policy proposals would be to start a campaign to re-establish civility and good manners. And what better place to begin than Richmond, Virginia, which I am quite sure, at one point not terribly long ago was the good manners capital of the world. I want to bring those days back. An initiative like this takes leadership and passion. Oh, how I hate to see what is happening to my city, not to mention the fabric of our national culture. My campaign would be much like Nancy Reagan’s "Just Say No" program. No government money.

When Robert E. Lee became president of what would become Washington and Lee University in 1865, he initiated the "Speaking Rule." Other Virginia schools followed. I don’t remember there being such a rule at the University of Virginia, primarily because the natural, organic culture that already existed was one spoke to everyone he passed and engaged in a pleasantry. It’s demoralizing to walk down the sidewalk in Richmond and watch your oncoming neighbor try NOT to make eye contact to avoid speaking. They know nothing of the "speaking rule," and it’s sad. In the world of social media where people rage at complete strangers, there is no better salve than to look someone in the eye , smile and say "Good morning."

Good manners revolve around respect for others, and of course such respect is the essence of the Golden Rule. Good manners have a transcendental nature in that they create a system that one can’t see and can’t touch, but nonetheless create a benign social order. This evolves into a "custom" which evolves further into an almost universal "convention." Kindness, gentleness, respect and tolerance are the result. Moreover, when a child is raised in this social order, this invisible ethos of civility instills itself in one’s personality, it is imbued, cooked in the sauce, and the act of being well mannered and thoughtful occurs without any conscience volition or effort to be that way. A few years ago, I visited two older gentleman I knew in the Alzheimer’s ward. There were ladies present, and I’ll never forget, although they couldn’t remember their names, they didn’t forget their manners. They were as we say perfect "southern gentlemen." It was "baked in."

Before the advent of "business casual," we all wore suits. How well I can remember 100 degree, extremely humid days and the perfumed smell of tobacco resting in downtown Richmond warehouses. Despite the heat and humidity, men did not take off their jackets when wandering outside their offices. If one was in the presence of a lady, the custom was to seek her permission before taking off one’s jacket. Now this might sound archaic to some, but the foundation of this rule, like so many others, is respect for and deference to women. As these exercises in civility have waned, what are we left with? The absolute barbarity of men beating the tar out of women in an Olympic sport.

Dressing well is important. By putting forth an effort to look nice, you exhibit respect and appreciation towards everyone you encounter, but the respect works both ways, your dress illustrates that you respect yourself. Likewise, being punctual illustrates your respect for the other party and the value of his time, but it also illustrates that you respect yourself.

Boy, how many lessons did I learn from my father! Always stand when a lady enters a room. Stand when she leaves the dinner table and stand again when she returns. Ladies are always served first. Never, ever begin to eat until the last lady at the table has picked up her fork and put food in her mouth. I’ll always remember him telling me to always wear a sports jacket and sometimes a tie when traveling on a plane. "Son, wherever you go in this world, you are a representative of the Commonwealth of Virginia and our family." When I was old enough to drive and before cell phones, the custom was to follow a woman home and make sure she got into her house safely. When I see kids that I coached or taught in Sunday School wearing a hat in restaurant, I yank it off their heads and ask them what the hell is wrong with them. That was Dad’s biggest pet peeve! Offer the black housekeepers walking through the neighborhood to the bus stop a ride. Always be a good sport, and win or lose after any competition, whether athletic or business, shake the other fella’s hand. When using the telephone, introduce yourself and say "may I speak to," and not "is so and so there." Never go through a woman’s pocketbook or anyone’s mail. There’s a proper way to shake hands. Oh, he was a stickler for proper English! Using words correctly and phrased pleasantly honors the recipient. And, I will never forget exactly where I was when I heard the biggest rule of all. I was 5 years old. Dad was driving. I can remember the story Dad told me, the exact bend in the road and the message was the most despicable thing a man could ever do, and was never, ever permissible under and circumstances, was to hit a woman!

Police Petrol Bombed in Northern Ireland Amid Sectarian Violence
[Breitbart] Sectarian violence was rekindled in Northern Ireland on Saturday night as police were attacked with petrol bombs following a pro-unionist demonstration that took place in the city.

At least 10 police officers were injured in Londonderry on Saturday evening after they came under assault by a reported group of Irish nationalist youths during “several hours of disorder” on Nailors Row.

So far, police have made one arrest in connection to the incident, however, between Friday and Saturday evening, police made 31 arrests amid amid a broader outbreak of violence in the city, the Derry Journal reports.

In a statement, Derry City & Strabane Superintendent William Calderwood said: “The scenes we witnessed were disgusting, and I want to commend our officers for their professionalism. These were difficult conditions for officers from across numerous departments.

According to the PSNI, a mosque on Greenwell Street in Newtownards was attacked with a failed petrol bomb and alleged racist graffiti was written on the building.
“To see our officers injured as a result of this violence is appalling. It is completely unacceptable.”

The fire-bombings came after the Apprentice Boys Relief of Derry parade took place in the city, an annual celebration that marks the anniversary of the end of the Siege of Derry in 1689, in which the local Protestants successfully fended off the Catholic Jacobite forces of James II.

The parade, which saw over 5,000 members of the Apprentice Boys take part as well as 130 bands, is a significant date on the calendar for local unionists in Northern Ireland — also known as Ulster — who favour remaining a part of the United Kingdom rather than joining with the Republic of Ireland to the south.

Londonderry was one of the main epicentres of the decades-long conflict known as The Troubles between Irish nationalists and pro-British unionists, with many claiming that the city was the location for the first major act of the conflict, the so-called Battle of the Bogside following the same Apprentice Boys parade in 1969.

While the incidents on Nailors Row were unrelated to the wider anti-mass migration protests and riots which have swept across the UK, including in Northern Ireland, over the past two weeks, the police did report some suspected ethnically-inspired attacks in the city on Saturday.

According to the PSNI, a mosque on Greenwell Street in Newtownards was attacked with a failed petrol bomb and alleged racist graffiti was written on the building. There were also two instances of cars being set on fire which police are treating as being “racially motivated”.

Temporary Assistant Chief Constable Melanie Jones said: “We continue to investigate all reports made to us in relation to the recent disorder on our streets and we will be making further arrests. The outpouring of support from our communities for their Muslim neighbours has been heartening and more accurately reflects the views of most of the citizens of Northern Ireland.”

Government Corruption
Did the Acting Secret Service Director Get Caught Lying to Congress?
[Townhall] The assassination attempt on Donald Trump on July 13 was a total failure, which the Secret Service admits. However, we’ve become bogged down in a who’s responsible for what game regarding the rooftop. The American Glass Research rooftop, less than 200 yards from the rally stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, was left unprotected. Acting Director Ronald Rowe visited the site and delivered testimony to a joint Senate Homeland Security and Judiciary Committees hearing. Yet, the diagram he offered on the line of sight has drawn new scrutiny from Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA). Grassley’s letter to Rowe, which included photos, demands the acting director to clarify his line of sight remarks since it looks like he might have lied:

Ben Carson: ‘Quite Clear' Harris-Walz Trying to Con the American People and Lie Their Way to the Presidency
[Breitbart] It is "quite clear" that Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) are trying to con the American people and lie their way into the presidency, Dr. Ben Carson said during an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday.
He's just criticizing her because he's racist. Errr...whut?
Carson said Harris’s campaign and the Democrat Party know "they’re in bad shape," despite their outward appearance

"Obviously, the campaign for Kamala and the Democrat party know that they’re in bad shape, because there was a reason that Kamala got so little support when she was running for president during the primary process. The reason that she dropped out is because people found out who she was. So the lesson that they’ve learned is — let’s not let people know who you are," Carson said, noting that Harris has yet to hold a press conference or sit down for an interview since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and coronated her to take his place.

Africa Horn
Will Burhan's assassination attempt derail Sudan Geneva talks?
The liquidation attempt on the commander of the Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
ese Armed Forces General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has raised questions about who was behind it, what its goals were, and to what extent it could impact Sudan's war - especially with US-led peace talks in Geneva around the corner.

If they go ahead, the upcoming negotiations, which will be hosted by both Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...
and Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula, largely made up of sand and oil rigs. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Formerly dictatorial and steeped in Olde Tyme Religion, deferring to Salafist holy men on all issues, it has now done a 180 and is making a serious effort to modernize, so as not to be left in the sand by its Gulf Arab neighbors. The holy men have been shoved to the background and the nation is now still dictatorial but somewhat Frational. That doesn't make them trustworthy, but it's a start...
on 14 August, will be the first major effort in months to get the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to sit together.

Since the war erupted in Sudan more than a year and three months ago, bringing the country close to collapse, there have been multiple mediation attempts, the most prominent of which were the Jeddah negotiations which took place early into the war.

However,
some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves...
while positive steps were agreed upon at Jeddah, they were not implemented, and the two warring parties have not returned to direct negotiations a second time, despite many attempts by external parties to bring this about.

The RSF accepted the US invitation to the August talks soon after they were proposed, with the army tentatively and conditionally following suit on 30 July %u2013 shortly before the failed attempt
...Curses! Foiled again!...
on Burhan's life, after which the army leader said he would not be attending.

The attack took place at a graduation ceremony at the Gebeit army base, about 100 km (62 miles) from the army's de facto capital Port Sudan in Sudan's Red Sea state.

It was carried out by two drones and left five dead, including a colonel, as well as a number of injured according to an army statement, although the corpse count is believed to have risen since then.

Burhan's bodyguards managed to evacuate him unscathed, and he later insisted on completing the graduation ceremony and gave a speech vowing not to lay his weapons down until the country was cleansed of "rebels and mercenaries".

The army chief stressed last Wednesday that "the battle with the enemy is ongoing" and pledged not to surrender or negotiate with them.

He also reiterated that he welcomed peace negotiations provided they involved all segments of the people as well as the armed movements participating in the battle. However he conditioned his participation in talks on mediating actors recognising the Sudanese government's illusory sovereignty over Sudan, and that the RSF implement what was agreed in the Jeddah negotiations by leaving civilians' homes.

#1  "...US-led peace talks in Geneva around the corner." Foggy Bottom ought to butt-out. As was the case in South Sudan, let this act play out until one of the two sides is exhausted and gives up. Turning to a map, the fact that Burhan is ruling his portion of the state from Port Sudan is a sure indication that the once powerful Arab-dominated central government has lost power. If the half-century war with South Sudan is a guide, this present struggle could go on for years.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Lebanon proposes additional LAF troops in south to restore calm
The Lebanese government has circulated a detailed proposal to all its diplomatic missions abroad, outlining what it says is a plan aimed at achieving long-term stability in southern Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
.

This initiative, which includes pledging to deploy more Lebanese army personnel through a new recruitment campaign into the border region, comes amid heightened tensions in the region and the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, and Hezbollah in south Lebanon.

This proposal marks the first time the Lebanese government has issued an official, detailed document outlining its stance and suggested measures for de-escalation since the conflict began on October 8th.

While sources told al-Araby TV said Hezbollah did not object to the plan official line position remains firm: a ceasefire in southern Lebanon is contingent upon an end to the Israeli war in Gaza.

Following the "Majdal Shams" incident, where Israel carried out its threat by assassinating Hezbollah leader Fouad Shukr in Beirut's southern suburbs, and the subsequent liquidation of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
, concerns have grown over the potential expansion of the conflict to Lebanon. In response, the Lebanese government reactivated its emergency plan, initially devised when the conflict along the Lebanese-Israeli border began.

The Lebanese government stated that "the recent Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
targeting a residential building in Beirut's southern suburbs exemplifies Israel's continued aggressive pattern towards Lebanon. This attack not only represents a significant escalation in an already unstable situation but also constitutes a blatant violation of international law, which prohibits targeting densely populated civilian areas with indiscriminate attacks." The government further noted that "this attack, occurring against the backdrop of the horrific massacre in Gaza, has increased the risk of the conflict expanding into a broader war that could engulf Lebanon and the region."

Despite the escalating situation, the Lebanese government emphasized its belief that a full-scale war can still be avoided and reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the safety and security of its citizens. The government also reiterated its right to self-defense under international law.

At the same time, the government stressed that "de-escalation is the most appropriate path to avoid a destructive cycle of violence, which will be increasingly difficult to contain. However,
there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly...
Lebanon cannot act alone; the international community must play a decisive and immediate role in calming tensions and curbing Israel's ongoing aggression against Lebanon."

Earlier today, caretaker Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib commented on the U.S.-Egyptian-Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
i initiative for a Gaza ceasefire and regional de-escalation, noting that "the Lebanese government believes that there is no room for further delay, and urges all concerned parties to expedite the release of hostages, start the ceasefire, and implement the agreement without hesitation."

Bou Habib also announced the Lebanese government's intention to support and present a new proposal to complete the implementation of the remaining provisions in a manner that satisfies all concerned parties.

Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday strongly condemned an Israeli strike on a school-turned-shelter for displaced Palestinians
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday strongly condemned an Israeli strike on a school-turned-shelter for displaced Palestinians in Gaza city and said that attack upon a children's school was an open aggression and barbarity which had no precedent in the history.

Israel has crossed all limits in its open aggression, PM Office Media Wing, in a press release, quoted the prime minister as saying.

The premier called upon the international community, including the United Nations, to take practical steps to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression.

He reiterated Pakistan's demand of holding the leadership of Israel and its armed forces accountable for the genocide of Palestinians and war crimes.

CNN's Brianna Keilar walks back JD Vance swipe following backlash: He 'served honorably in Iraq'
CNN anchor Brianna Keilar appears to be walking back her swipe against Trump running mate Sen. JD Vance, insisting he served honorably after facing backlash for suggesting he embellished his military service.

Informed observers connected to politics or the military, myself included, have noted that the Trump campaign is 'swiftboating' Tim Walz. Attacks on JD Vance's service are also offensive, Keilar began a monologue on Friday. JD Vance served honorably in Iraq, a combat zone where anything can happen and frequently does. As he said in his book, he was, quote, 'lucky to escape any real fighting.' That doesn't make his service less than. 'Lucky,' he says. And luck is often what makes the difference in a combat zone or even a training mission. That today is not your day.

In a country where so few shoulder the burden, military service should not be a liability, it should be an asset, she continued. And despite our recent years as a country at war, many service members haven't seen combat. That doesn't make them or their service less admirable, or less necessary. Nor does retiring from the National Guard after 24 years. These kinds of attacks from the left or the right diminish the service of so many others who have served honorably, who sacrifice time away from family, who put themselves in harm's way because the military is made largely of JD Vances and Tim Walzs.

The liberal anchor marveled that there are two veterans on these presidential tickets, something that has been absent in recent presidential elections.

Bangladesh chief justice, central bank governor quit amid protests
[GEO.TV] Bangladesh's chief justice and central bank governor have resigned, officials said on Saturday, as student protests that forced Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to flee have widened to target more officials appointed during her time in office.

Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan resigned, the law ministry's adviser Asif Nazrul said in a Facebook video post, after students warned him of "dire consequences" if he did not. Reuters could not immediately contact Hassan.

Nazrul, an adviser in the new caretaker government, urged protesters to remain peaceful. "Don't damage any public property," he said in the post.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rouf Talukder has also resigned but his resignation has not been accepted given the importance of the position, finance ministry adviser Salehuddin Ahmed told reporters. Reuters could not contact Talukder.

Days earlier, four deputy governors were forced to resign after about 300 to 400 bank officials protested against what they said was corruption by top officials.

The vice chancellor of Dhaka University, ASM Maksud Kamal, has also resigned, the university said. Reuters was unable to contact Kamal.

The university has been the epicentre of deadly protests that escalated in July against quotas in government jobs before morphing into an oust-Hasina campaign.

Hasina has been sheltering in New Delhi since Monday following the uprising that killed about 300 people, many of them students, ending her uninterrupted rule of 15 years in the South Asian nation of 170 million people.

Since her departure, the country has also seen the appointment of a new police chief as part of a shake-up of the security top brass that also included a new head of the technical intelligence monitoring agency and changes among senior army officials.

Sen. Marco Rubio endorses Arizona Republican Kari Lake in Senate race: 'Proven fighter'
US Sen. Marco Rubio has endorsed Arizona Republican Kari Lake in her race for the Senate, he told The Post.

Kari Lake is the proven fighter we need in the Senate to secure the border, grow our economy, lower the cost of living, and push pro-family policies, Rubio said in a statement. I am proud to endorse her for Senate in Arizona. Her opponent votes with Kamala Harris 100 percent of the time. Kari will be a strong voice for all Arizonans.

Rubio (R-Florida), who has been in the Senate since 2011, is one of more than 30 Republican senators who have thrown their support behind Lake.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Current information on the situation on the front line: August 10
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

21:35 Telegram channel «Fisherman»:

Donetsk direction: liberation of Nevel'skoye.

– Although the main attention is now focused on the fighting in the border area, the offensive of Russian troops in Donbass continues, including in the Donetsk direction.

– Yesterday evening footage emerged of the raising of the Russian flag by soldiers of the 110th Motorized Rifle Brigade on the western outskirts of Nevelskoye. Over the years of fighting it has been reduced to ruins, and numerous assaults have resulted in losses of personnel and equipment.

- Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the establishment of control over the long-suffering village, but the information was not confirmed. With the emergence of new objective evidence, we can say that the long-term battle for the settlement is over.

- At the same time, units of the Russian Armed Forces continue to advance in Krasnogorovka and have advanced on the outskirts, occupying houses on Engels and Sedov Streets. Most of the city has been liberated, but there is still fighting ahead for the Lenin Kolkhoz microdistrict.

– Also, Russian troops continue to attack in Maksimilyanovka from the side of the previously captured Georgievka, although no changes in the configuration of the LBS have been recorded there over the past few days.

20:53 Special military operation. Situation as of August 10 –map.

20:24 Air raid siege declared in Ukraine in Kyiv and several regions –map:

- Vinnytsia region
- Zhitomir region
- Kyiv region
- Kirovograd region
- Poltava region
- Sumy region
- Khar'kov region
- Cherkasy region
- Chernihiv region

19:33 Approximate situation in the southern regions of the Kursk region. The Russian Armed Forces are graduallyare fetteredenemy activity, due to which the pace of expansion of the breakthrough has significantly decreased, and the activity of mobile groups no longer brings the results that were observed on August 6-8. There is still a lot of work ahead.

18:45 To conduct counterbattery combat in the Kursk region, the enemy hit rare ARTHUR/MAMBA radar in a wheeled design. These radar systems are in service with the 15th Separate Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

18:24 Novomikhaylovka – Konstantinovka.

Positional military operations in the Novomikhaylovka area. The forward position of the Russian Armed Forces in the eastern part of Konstantinovka is under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The advance of the Russian Armed Forces to the Sukhie Yaly River up to 400 meters.

17:51 Around 17.05 Moscow time stopped an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using an aircraft-type UAV against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation.

A Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed by air defense systems on duty over the territory of the Belgorod region.

17:07 Telegram channel «Fisherman»:

Slobozhansky direction: PR sortie of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the situation in Vovchansk.

– Against the backdrop of the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region, the situation in the Slobozhansky direction also remains tense. And if heavy positional battles continue in the area of Vovchansk, Staritsa and Glubokoe in the Khar'kov region, then in the Belgorod border area the enemy has decided to make a new media sortie.

– In the morning hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a series of strikes on the Graivoron urban district, including the village of Poroz, located 2.5 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border. While the village was being bombarded with artillery, a group of the enemy advanced in its direction.

– In Poroz, Ukrainian saboteurs quickly recorded a video near the building of the local village club and hastily retreated, capturing two local residents. Later, these shots were posted by Ukrainian resources, and the village itself was closed for entry.

– According to some information, members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted another PR raid a little further southeast, filming a similar video in the village of Mokraya Orlovka. However, the recording was never published: apparently, either the raid was not so successful, or the enemy decided to publish them later.

Meanwhile, in the north of the Khar'kov region, fierce fighting has continued for the fourth month in a row:

– The situation in the Glubokoe area remains quite tense: although the enemy has not carried out counterattacks for a long time, it is actively using drones to strike evacuation groups and supply lines of the Russian Armed Forces leading to the village.

- In the Staritsa area, the configuration of the front in the Kogutovo tract was once again clarified. Considering the constant artillery attack of Ukrainian positions in this area, it is obvious that units of the Russian Armed Forces have not occupied positions there since the offensive in the Khar'kov region.

– In Vovchansk itself, Russian troops have slightly improved their tactical situation. The enemy is using drones to strike positions in the buildings on Korolenko Street, where the Russian Armed Forces’ attack aircraft were able to advance a hundred meters. A similar situation is at the aggregate plant, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to destroy the surviving workshops using explosives delivered on tracked platforms.

– Also, a few days ago, statements appeared in the Russian media about the Russian Armed Forces’ control over Sotnitsky Kazachok and Lukashovka. However, both settlements have changed hands more than once – there is simply no place to take up defensive positions there, and during heavy artillery shelling, the forces holding them retreat.

Candy recall for Salmonella
[FDA] Palmer Candy Company, Sioux City, Iowa, is recalling its “White Coated Confectionary Items” because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

The recalled Confectionary Items were distributed nationwide in retail stores and to wholesale.

The recalled confectionary items were distributed nationwide in Walmart, HyVee, Target, Dollar General, and to distributors in Alabama, California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

Palmer Candy was notified by its liquid coating supplier that there was a potential for contamination with salmonella from an ingredient that was potentially contaminated from one of their suppliers.

Governor Hair Gel Vows to 'Redirect' Funds from Communities Not Addressing Homelessness
"Homeless don't Vote!"
More election season antics.

[Breitbart] California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) vowed to “redirect money” from communities in the state that do not work to clear homeless encampments.

During a news conference on Thursday, Newsom spoke about how since the beginning of this year, “over 1,400 encampments have been removed” in California, adding that “thousands of thousands of additional encampments” still existed and needed to be cleared throughout the state.

Newsom previously issued an executive order in July for homeless encampments in California to be cleared. The executive order came after the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in June that under the Eighth Amendment, it was not “cruel and unusual punishment” for homeless encampments to be removed, or for people to receive jail time regarding the violation of anti-camping laws.

“We’re done with the excuses,” Newsom said. “And, the last big excuse was, ‘Well, the courts are saying we can’t do anything.’ Well, that’s no longer the case. So, we had a simple executive order. Do your job, there’s no more excuses. You got the money, you got the flexibility, you got the green light, you got the support from the state.”

Iran is set to “harshly punish” Israel for allegedly eliminating Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, a senior commander of the Iranian Islamic Guard (IRGC) warns.

IRGC deputy chief Ali Fadavi declared that Iran preparing to attack Israel following the orders given by regime’s “Supreme Leader” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Reuters reported Saturday.

In a recent sermon, Khamenei vowed that Israel will face “harsh punishment” for the killing of “our dear guest in our house,” referring to Haniyeh, Hamas chief and key mastermind of the October 7 massacre.

Reuters reported the latest Iranian threat:

Iran is set to carry out an order by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to “harshly punish” Israel over the elimination of , a Revolutionary Guards deputy commander said on Friday, according to Reuters.

“The Supreme Leader’s orders regarding the harsh punishment of Israel and revenge for the blood of martyr Ismail Haniyeh are clear and explicit …and they will be implemented in the best possible way,” said Ali Fadavi, cited by Iranian media.

The IRGC is the military and foreign terrorist arm of the Iranian regime and has been behind repeated cross-border attacks on Israel by Lebanese Hezbollah and Yemen-based Houthis in the wake of October 7 attack. An impending ;arge-scale attack on Israel — as widely expected, will most likely be carried out or directed by the IRGC.

Amid warnings of an imminent attack from Iran and its proxies, the Israeli armed forces are gearing up to fight on multiple fronts.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week warned Iran and its terror proxies that they would pay a ‘heavy price’ for daring to attack Israel. “We are prepared for any scenario – both offensively and defensively,” the Israeli prime minister said. “We will respond and we will exact a heavy price for any act of aggression against us, from whatever quarter.”

GOP states sue to stop Biden admin extending Obamacare to illegal immigrants
[FoxNews] A coalition of Republican states are suing the Biden administration to prevent it from making some illegal immigrants eligible for Obamacare, just days before the 2024 presidential election.

A rule published in May would allow illegal immigrants who came as children and are protected from deportation via the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to be eligible for healthcare through the Affordable Care Act.

Currently, all illegal immigrants are prohibited from accessing the program. The administration said it predicts that the rule, which would go into effect in November, would result in over 100,000 uninsured illegal immigrants being allowed to access insurance.

Fifteen states, led by Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, claim that the regulation violates federal law that bars giving benefits to illegal immigrants and violates the Act itself.

The ACA, as passed by Congress, limits eligibility to citizens or nationals of the U.S. and those "lawfully present," the complaint says.

The attorneys general of Alabama, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Virginia have all signed on to the lawsuit.

HHS did not respond to a request for comment.

Harris campaign admits Walz 'misspoke' about past military career

Vice President Harris' presidential campaign admitted Friday that her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz misspoke about his past military service as a growing chorus of critics accuse him of stolen valor.

Governor Walz would never insult or undermine any American's service to this country — in fact, he thanks Senator Vance for putting his life on the line for our country. It's the American way, Team Harris said in a statement to NBC News Friday.

In making the case for why weapons of war should never be on our streets or in our classrooms, the Governor misspoke. He did handle weapons of war and believes strongly that only military members trained to carry those deadly weapons should have access to them, unlike Donald Trump and JD Vance who prioritize the gun lobby over our children.
Given the propensity of our children to shoot up their schools or to attempt to murder teachers, packing a rod whilst in front of a class might be a good idea. Declaring schools a gun free zone does nothing but expend wind. Empirical observation beats theory ten out of ten times.

Recruiting Shortfall Means Coast Guard ‘Can't Crew All Our Ships,' Says Vice Commandant- U.S. will have no icebreakers in the Arctic this summer,"
[USNI] Coming up short 10 percent of its required enlisted force means the Coast Guard “can’t crew all our ships” and has had to “temporarily shutter some of our smaller stations,” the vice commandant said Wednesday.

Adm. Kevin Lunday, speaking at the Brookings Institution, added, “We had to lay up three of our major cutters because we don’t have enough enlisted personnel to crew them.” Since the action, the service has shifted funds from other parts of the budget to bolster recruiting and retention.

He described the “controlled parts exchanged,” borrowing from another vessel to get a cutter underway, as “the fancy term for cannibalization.” If it continues over time, “you’re eating your readiness.”

Lunday later added that USCGC Healy (WAGB-20) had an engine room fire that caused it to return to port for repair this year. The medium icebreaker “had just begun her summer patrol” in the Arctic. Repair will prove difficult because “much of the machinery aboard is antiquated” and parts may no longer be available.

“If Healy can’t continue that patrol, the U.S. will have no icebreakers in the Arctic this summer,” he said. This happened as the United States laid claim to an extended continental shelf, requiring more presence to assert sovereignty in that part of the Arctic.

Hurricane wind damages power transmission line supports in Zaporizhia and Kherson regions
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Hurricane wind damaged power line supports, leaving several districts of the Kherson region without power. This was reported on August 10 by the region's governor Volodymyr Saldo.

“150 kV power lines in the Zaporizhia region were damaged due to hurricane winds and heavy rain,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Saldo noted that the settlements of Genichesk, Novotroitsky, Kakhovka, Novaya Kakhovka and part of Ivanovo municipal districts of the Kherson region were left without electricity.

The head of the region added that an operational headquarters has been created to solve the problem, and repair teams are working on site.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, in July the Russian Ministry of Energy announced that there were problems with electricity supply in four regions of Russia due to abnormally high temperatures. The outages occurred in the Rostov and Astrakhan regions, Adygea and Krasnodar Krai.

Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Kursk II

[Regnum] Ukrainian formations failed to capture the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region, statements about this are lies and Kiev propaganda. This was stated on August 10 by the city's mayor Vitaly Slashchev.

“Sudzha is ours, don’t believe Ukrainian propaganda,” Gazeta.Ru quoted him as saying.

The mayor also called for “not to sow panic.”

As reported by the Regnum news agency, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) began attacks on the Kursk region on August 6. The Ministry of Defense announced on August 7 that the Russian army did not allow the enemy to break through into Russian territory.

The Defense Ministry also reported that Russian aviation and missile forces struck reserves of Ukrainian militants in the Sumy region. The department also reported that the Russian Armed Forces are building up forces conducting active combat operations with Ukrainian militants in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region.

“Due to the increased level of sabotage and terrorist threats from Ukraine, a counter-terrorist operation regime has been introduced in the Kursk region,” the acting head of the region wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier, the counter-terrorist operation regime began to operate for the same reason in the Bryansk region.

.
[Korrespondet] 20:56 Zelensky said in an evening video address that he had already heard Syrsky's reports several times today - "regarding the front and our actions and pushing the war into the territory of the aggressor." According to the president, "Ukraine is proving that it really knows how to return justice and guarantees exactly the kind of pressure that is needed - pressure on the aggressor."

Zelensky also stressed that Kyiv is working for timely logistics so that Western aid can be felt at the front as soon as possible, and "we are really looking forward to decisions on long-range capabilities - from the United States, Great Britain, and France - strong decisions that will bring a just peace closer."

In addition, the head of state announced "a decision that will strengthen our Ukrainian spiritual independence. We must deprive Moscow of its last opportunities to infringe on the freedom of Ukrainians. And the solutions for this must be one hundred percent effective. We will provide them."

20:21 Six underground schools are being built in Zaporizhia Oblast, said Ivan Fedorov, head of the OVA. He specified that underground schools are being built not only in Zaporizhia, but also in rural communities - Kushugumskaya, Shirokovskaya, Belenkovskaya. Some schools are already at a high level of readiness, others are at the initial stages. The first schools are planned to open at the end of October.

20:08 The "authorities" of occupied Gorlovka in Donetsk Oblast have announced Ukrainian shelling of the city, which has left 14 people wounded.

18:57 The White House is maintaining contact with Kiev amid the operation in the Kursk region, said US Presidential Administration National Security Advisor John Kirby: "We are maintaining contact with our Ukrainian colleagues and working to better understand what they are doing, what their goals are, what their strategy is."

18:35 Ukrainian OSINT project DeepState reports that the Russian army today advanced near Peschanoye, Stelmakhovka in the Kupyansk direction, Ivanovka in the Pokrovsk direction and Krasnogorovka in Kurakhovsky. According to analysts, the Russians are trying to cordon off part of the Defense Forces positions near Stelmakhovka and Peschanoye. North of the latter, the enemy will try to reach the heights to the north after encirclement, which will give them new opportunities for further advance on Kolesnikovka, DeepState notes.

17:18 In Volchansk, the Russian army, as part of preparations for conducting assault operations, carried out a regrouping of assault groups of the 153rd tank regiment, and is also conducting an internal rotation of personnel in units of the 138th separate motorized rifle brigade, the Kharkov group of troops reported.

17:01 In Konstantinovka, the rubble of a shopping center has been cleared away - as a result of yesterday's shelling, 14 people were killed and 44 were injured, reported Interior Minister Igor Klimenko.

16:55 Russians attacked the Kutsurub community in Mykolaiv Oblast with FPV drones, wounding two people, OVA head Vitaly Kim reported. In addition, three people were wounded in Ochakov as a result of enemy artillery shelling.

16:46 Lukashenko reported the destruction of some "air targets" from Ukraine over the territory of Belarus on the evening of August 9. According to him, the Air Force and Air Defense of Belarus were transferred to high alert due to the alleged violation of airspace by Ukraine. The head of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Khrenin reported that Lukashenko gave instructions to strengthen the group of troops in the country in the Gomel and Mozyr tactical directions. In particular, according to him, special operations forces and missile troops, including Polonez rocket systems and Iskander complexes, were tasked with marching to "designated areas."

Lukashenko later said that he intended to personally deal with the "unsettled situation" on the border with Ukraine on the spot. And the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said that "the Ukrainian provocation with drones was undertaken at the instigation of external players" and "Minsk will fully exercise its right to self-defense."

15:24 The Ukrainian Navy and the Main Intelligence Directorate have struck one of the gas rigs in the Black Sea seized by Russia. Navy spokesman Dmitry Pletenchuk reported that Russian forces used the platform for GPS spoofing "in order to make civilian shipping dangerous." According to Pletenchuk, the day before the strike, the Russian Federation sent its equipment and military personnel to the platform. At the same time, Pletenchuk noted the work of the Navy's missile and artillery troops and specified that there were no civilians on the rig, and it was not performing its regular functions.

14:51 In the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down a Ka-52 Alligator helicopter using an American Stinger MANPADS, the crew was eliminated. According to social media, the fact of the helicopter's destruction was confirmed by Russian Armed Forces captain Ilya Tumanov, who runs the Fighterbomber Telegram channel, and propagandist Kirill Fedorov.

13:47 In July this year, the number of civilian deaths and injuries in Ukraine was the highest since October 2022, according to a report by the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine. According to the organization's official data, at least 219 civilians were killed and 1,018 were injured as a result of Russian attacks.

11:29 Russian military attacked Kherson from a UAV, two people were wounded, OVA reported.

10:08 Two children, aged nine and 11, have been identified among those killed in yesterday's Russian strike on Konstantinovka, the prosecutor's office said. Examinations are continuing to establish the identities of six more people, including, probably, one child. According to the latest data, the number of people killed in the attack is 14, 43 people were injured.

09:32 At night, Russians shelled the village of Pershotravneve in the Izyum district of the Kharkiv region - two people were killed, one was wounded, reported the head of the OVA Oleg Sinegubov. Another person was injured as a result of shelling in the village of Ivashki and the urban-type settlement of Zolochiv in the Bogodukhov district.

09:27 In the morning, Russians shelled Kherson, one person was wounded, OVA reported. Over the past 24 hours, six people were wounded as a result of Russian shelling in the region.

09:23 The US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believes that Russia does not want to redeploy troops to the Kursk region in order not to disrupt the offensive. According to analysts, to counter the offensive in the Kursk region, the Russian military command is relying on existing units deployed in the border area and on easily accessible forces in the rear, most of which are units staffed by conscripts and irregulars.

According to ISW, the Russian military command has transferred forces from unspecified operational reserves, additional units staffed by conscripts, special forces, special operations forces, additional Chechen special forces Akhmat, as well as the 1st Army Corps of the "DPR" and former Wagner Group servicemen to areas of the Kursk region.

08:41 On the night of August 9, near the settlement of Chernomorskoye in Crimea, fighters of the special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Group 13, using the Magura V5 strike marine drone, destroyed another Russian vessel - a high-speed boat of the KS 701 project of the Tunets type. As a result of the operation, three more watercraft were also damaged, their type is being established.

08:25 In the morning, Russians hit a critical infrastructure facility in Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast, with a missile - one worker was killed and several were injured. The facility's buildings were seriously damaged, said OVA head Vadim Filashkin. According to him, 14 people were killed and 42 were injured as a result of yesterday's strike on Konstantinovka.

08:06 The General Staff announced the estimated losses of the Russian Federation as of the morning of August 10:

  • personnel - about 589,700 (+1160) people,

  • tanks - 8441 (+7),

  • combat armored vehicles - 16,350 (+9),

  • artillery systems - 16,605 (+69),

  • MLRS - 1143 (+1),

  • air defense systems - 918 (+2),

  • aircraft - 366 (+0),

  • helicopters - 327 (+0),

  • Operational-tactical level UAVs - 13,372 (+47),

  • cruise missiles - 2425 (+1),

  • ships/boats - 28 (+0),

  • submarines - 1 (+0),

  • automotive equipment and tank trucks - 22,453 (+82),

  • special equipment - 2789 (+20).

07:17 The Russian Defense Ministry stated that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 32 UAVs at night, 26 of which were over the Kursk region and six over the Yaroslavl region.

06:58 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports that the column of Russian equipment that was destroyed in the Kursk region could have consisted of 14 covered Ural and KAMAZ trucks transporting Russian reserves. The burned column of Russian equipment was recorded along the 38K-017 highway. It was hit east of Rylsk near the village of Oktyabrskoye in the Kursk region, experts note.

Citing Russian sources, ISW reports that the convoy could have been transporting personnel from the 44th Army Corps of the Northern Group of Russian Forces (Leningrad Military District) or the Pyatnashka Brigade.

06:26 If Russian troops advance at the same speed as in other directions, they will need a year to recapture the lost territories in the Kursk region, writes The Washington Post. The publication notes that the sudden breakthrough of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is the most serious challenge for Putin since the Wagner rebellion. Kiev's successes raise the morale of Ukrainian troops and civilians and at the same time hit the reputation of the Russian authorities and military hard.

According to the publication, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already occupied more than 20 Russian border villages and at least one city in part, and are now advancing toward the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant. The article notes that Ukrainian brigades will have time to dig in at fortified positions, which could potentially give Kyiv a powerful trump card in the event of an upcoming ceasefire or peace talks.

01:51 A counter-terrorist operation regime has been introduced in the Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation "in connection with the increase in the level of sabotage and terrorist threats from Ukraine," the National Anti-Terrorism Committee of the Russian Federation reported. In connection with the CTO regime, additional measures are being taken in the three regions "to ensure security, maintain law and order and strengthen the protection of facilities." The NAC added that Kiev has made "an unprecedented attempt to destabilize the situation" in a number of Russian regions.

Europe
Other Ways Are Possible! Sweden Now Has Net Emigration
More people will leave Sweden than arrive in 2024, a major turnaround for the country, which was once the most enthusiastic adopter of mass migration in Europe, and which experienced all the social unrest that seems to inevitably come with it.

The Swedish government has hailed its new anti-mass migration policies, as migrants colonists start leaving the country in larger numbers, meaning it now has net emigration for the first time in over 50 years. The government’s Migration Minister, Maria Malmer Stenergard, has announced that "Sweden has stopped being an asylum immigration country" on the back of the latest figures.

This change is, in part, due to considerably fewer asylum seekers coming to Sweden this year and more migrants colonists leaving Sweden. In a remarkable development unthinkable only a couple of years ago, a thousand more Iraqis left than arrived in 2023, over a thousand more Somalis left than arrived, and 500 more Syrians left than arrived.

The number of people leaving Sweden has increased by 60 per cent.

According to a Ministry of Justice statement based on Migration Agency data, Sweden will receive the lowest number of asylum seekers in 2024 of any year since 1997. Illustrating just how far these have fallen, there were 85,000 asylum applications in 2016, and just 5,600 so far in 2024, with new applications already running 27 per cent lower this year than in 2023, which itself had represented a record low year.

While these figures are relatively small and only represent baby steps towards the greater goal, which Minister Stenergard discussed, net migration being minus 5,700 in 2024 and being driven by former migrants colonists departing is consequential for the country of just ten million people.

This change is not down to wider European trends, either, which makes Sweden’s achievement even more impressive. The government’s data pack makes clear that overall asylum seekers in the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
remain very high, but "in Sweden, the decline continues from an already historically low level," demonstrating Sweden has succeeded in the new government’s mission to make the country less attractive to mass migration.

Indeed, in 2015, Sweden took 13 per cent of all asylum seekers in the EU. In 2024, it is predicted to take just one percent.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
On the structure of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Chasov Yar
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

Text taken from the Telegram channel of project_nd

I am starting a series of posts dedicated to information about the structure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces defense built in Chasov Yar.

So, first of all, we will start from the enemy's forward positions. Let's start with the Druzhba forest south of the western part of the settlement of Kalinovka (♦️48.602027, 37.840905) and the forest south of the Novoye microdistrict (♦️48.577742, 37.857899).

The Druzhba forest is a forest area with ten buildings inside (a former pioneer camp). The enemy used the buildings as places to install electronic warfare and other equipment, as well as temporary shelter from UAVs and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces.

The adjacent Oktiabrskaya Street allowed the Ukrainian Armed Forces to organize a supply and evacuation point there for the time being, but some time ago all of this was uncovered by our units and destroyed. The small fortified area itself in the forest area includes a network of well-equipped trenches, dugouts and covered trenches, near some of which the Egoza NVZ (popularly known as "barbed wire") were installed. In addition to the dug positions, the enemy had some advantage in the form of residential buildings in the western part of the settlement of Kalinovka (north of the forest), in which forward command posts, ammunition depots and personnel accommodation points were equipped.

Nevertheless, thanks to the competent actions of the Russian Armed Forces, these positions were also uncovered, and the personnel hiding in them were destroyed (more on this in the following posts). Today, the enemy is trying to carry out counterattacks in the Druzhba forest, but fails time after time, sending more and more of its soldiers to slaughter.

If we consider the forest south of the Novoye microdistrict, everything is much more interesting there. The enemy has done colossal fortification work in this area, in the above-mentioned area there is a rather serious fortified area, including well-equipped dugouts, camouflaged vehicle parking lots and a very wide line of trenches.

It was in this area that the enemy expected the Wagner PMC units to break through during the Bakhmut operation in 2023, so it was forced to invest a certain amount of effort and resources to create a fortification line. Also, along the Seversky Donetsk-Donbass canal line, the enemy used the canal pipe for their own purposes, along which they moved and under which trenches and small dugouts were also dug (I reported on the defeat of these points in one of my posts ( https://t.me/project_nd/143 ) several days ago).

The abovementioned forest areas are an important link in the enemy's defense in Chasov Yar, since their occupation by units of the Russian Armed Forces will significantly tie down the forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the urban development itself, which will allow further assault operations to be carried out with an exit to the fireproof plant and the subsequent liberation of Chasov Yar. Therefore, it is not surprising that the command of the Chasov Yar garrison is throwing more and more of its fighters to hold these areas of the terrain, because the subsequent outcome of the battle for the settlement depends on them.

We continue to work in this direction.

US troops attacked in Syria, no initial reports of injuries, official says
[ARABNEWS] US troops in northeastern Syria were attacked by a drone, a US official told Reuters, although there were no injuries according to initial reports.

This is the second attack in recent days against US forces in the Middle East as the region braces for a possible new wave of attacks by Iran and its allies.

Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Iran-backed Hamas, was assassinated in the Iranian capital Tehran on July 31, an attack that drew threats of revenge by Iran against Israel, which is fighting the Palestinian Islamist group in Gaza. Iran blamed Israel for the killing. Israel has not claimed responsibility.

The assassination and the killing of the senior military commander of the Iran-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah, Fuad Shukr, by Israel in a strike on Beirut, have fueled concern the conflict in Gaza was turning into a wider Middle East war.

Iran has said the US bears responsibility in the assassination of Haniyeh because of its support for Israel.

Initial reports do not indicate any injuries, however medical evaluations are ongoing. We are currently conducting a damage assessment, the US official said on the condition of anonymity about the attack in Syria.

The attack took place at Rumalyn Landing Zone, which hosts US troops along with those from the US-led coalition.

Five US personnel were injured when two Katyusha rockets were fired at Ain Al-Asad air base in western Iraq on Monday, an attack the Pentagon blamed on Iran-backed proxies.

The United States has 900 troops in Syria and 2,500 in neighboring Iraq, who it says are on a mission to advise and assist local forces trying to prevent a resurgence of Daesh, which in 2014 seized large swaths of both countries but was later pushed back.

Hezbollah says launched squadrons of drones at Israel after Sidon attack
[ARABNEWS] Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel.
's Iran-back Hezbollah group said it launched on Saturday explosive-laden drones at a north Israel army base following the killing of a Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
commander in south Lebanon a day earlier.

Hezbollah fighters launched ''squadrons of explosive-laden drones'' at the Michve Alon base near the Galilee town of Safed ''in response to the attack and liquidation carried out by the Israeli enemy in the city of Sidon'' on Friday, the group said in a statement.

Hezbollah's media office said it was ''the first time'' the group had targeted that base.

On Friday, an Israeli strike on a vehicle in the south Lebanon city of Sidon killed a Hamas commander, the Paleostinian hard boy group and the Israeli military said.

Hamas said in a statement that Samer al-Hajj was killed ''in a Zionist strike in the city of Sidon.''

The Israeli military said that its aircraft struck the Sidon area and ''eliminated'' Hajj, whom it identified as ''a senior commander'' for Hamas in Lebanon.

It was the first strike of its kind in Sidon since Hamas launched its October 7 attack on Israel, triggering war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
and prompting its Lebanese ally Hezbollah to begin trading near-daily cross-border fire with the Israeli army in a bid to tie down its troops.

Ten months of cross-border violence has killed some 562 people in Lebanon, most of them fighters but also including at least 116 civilians, according to the AFP tally.

On the Israeli side, including in the annexed Golan Heights, 22 soldiers and 26 civilians have been killed, according to army figures.

Mali expels Swedish ambassador amid strained relations with the West
[AfricaNews] Mali has ordered Sweden's ambassador to leave the country within 72 hours because of what it called a ''hostile'' statement by a Swedish minister, the government said on Friday.

Ambassador Kristina Kuhnel's expulsion comes after Mali on Monday announced it was severing diplomatic ties with Ukraine.

It accused a senior Ukrainian official of suggesting that Kyiv had provided help to Tuareg rebels who claimed to have killed dozens of mercenaries from Russia's Wagner group and Malian soldiers in July.

Ukraine has denied any involvement in the fighting in northern Mali.

Bamako's decision to cut ties with Kyiv prompted Sweden's minister for international development cooperation and trade, Johan Forssell, to say on Wednesday that the government had decided to phase out bilateral aid to Mali due to its ties to Moscow.

"You cannot support Russia's illegal war of aggression against Ukraine and at the same time receive several hundred million kronor each year in development aid," Forssell said on social media platform X.

In the past decade, Sweden has provided more than $330 million in assistance to the West African nation.

Relations between Mali and the West have frayed since a military junta seized power in 2020 and staged another coup the following year.

Mali and its neighbours, Niger and Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president used to be Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and was chased out in 2014. Now it's the usual army officer type guy, Captain Ibrahim Traore, running things, who's just doing a bang-up job unless he's already been deposed...
, also led by juntas, have pivoted away from their traditional Western allies to form closer ties with Russia.

Residents of Chechnya call paid education in madrassas in demand
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Paid teaching of the Koran and Arabic is in demand in Chechnya, and the demand to introduce free education in madrassas was an attempt by the mufitites to gain control over this area, local residents and a Caucasus expert said.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, on August 7, at a meeting of directors and teachers of commercial madrassas with the Mufti of Chechnya, Salakh Mezhiyev, it was decided that madrassas would not charge fees to students who could not afford paid tuition.

On August 6, the MRB of Chechnya called on the heads of commercial madrassas to conduct training free of charge and explained this recommendation by numerous complaints. The Muftiate emphasized that it does not demand that madrassas be closed and does not prohibit teaching the Koran, but only asks not to charge for training. There are 413 madrassas operating in Chechnya, of which 131 are commercial and 282 work free of charge.

Representatives of the muftiate and madrassas have agreed that fees "will not be collected on a mandatory basis," a representative of the Chechen DUM told a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "There have been inquiries about why fees are so high in some madrassas, and that sometimes people cannot afford to pay for tuition. Directors and teachers of commercial madrassas have agreed at a meeting with the mufti that they will not charge students "mandatory fees." No one is planning to close these schools," he said.

In different regions of Russia where Muslims live, madrassas are sometimes understood to teach the basic principles of Islam, the basics of the Arabic language and reading the Koran, the chairman of the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of the Asian part of Russia, Mufti Nafigulla Ashirov, told a correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot".

These are often courses or, say, Sunday schools at mosques.

"These are often courses or, say, Sunday schools at mosques. This is a crash course, an education for all those who want to learn about Islam. The teaching is done by imams of mosques or even students of Muslim theological institutions. No special expenses are required for this. In most cases, no fee is charged for this training or it is symbolic," he said.

Along with this "lower level" of education, there are secondary specialized educational institutions called madrassas, he explained. "The activity models of these madrassas may differ. There are madrassas that are maintained by charitable organizations or patrons, often not one, but a group of patrons. Such educational institutions also, as a rule, operate at mosques, and mosques help maintain them. Madrassas and mosques exist due to donations from believers themselves. Such madrassas are located in various regions of the Russian Federation, including the Caucasus. In addition, a number of Islamic institutes and universities have been opened in the Caucasus. In most cases, students of secondary and higher Muslim educational institutions are not charged tuition fees," Ashirov said, adding that Sharia law permits charging tuition fees.

The mufti noted that he is not deeply familiar with the Islamic education system in Chechnya, but he has been there and seen a number of educational institutions. "In Chechnya, among other things, there are Koran Hafiz Training Centers, where 500-600 people study. But they exist at the expense of the budget of the DUM CR, which is formed from donations from believers," he said.

They charge from a thousand to four rubles, as a rule. Everyone is satisfied

A resident of Chechnya, Yuni, said that almost "in every village" there are people who teach the Koran and Arabic, and their services are in demand. "People sign up themselves, sign up their children and undergo training. [They] are charged from a thousand to four rubles, as a rule. Everyone is happy. There is training at madrassas, the authorities call them commercial. Now they are proposing to either switch to free training, and the DUM will pay the teachers, or close them.

Apparently, they want to subjugate all the teachers. But the system is paid, it is convenient because it is within walking distance in both villages and cities. It seems that the authorities are not doing anything terrible, but the reasons are still unclear. Take control of training, teachers, have the opportunity to tell the world that everyone is taught for free?... I don't know," Yuni told a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Another resident of the Republic of Beslan believes that the name "commercial madrasah" is inaccurate in relation to these institutions. "In essence, these are private courses in teaching Arabic, tajweed (rules of reciting the Koran). Often, other languages are taught in parallel in these schools, including Chechen. Of course, those who maintain such language schools need to cover expenses, and student fees help with this. The fee is up to 3-4 thousand rubles," he told a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to him, they are monitored, as are all educational institutions. "Each [institution] has its own methods. But of course, everything is monitored anyway," he said.

Apparently, in Chechnya, the situation is worse with collecting zakat for Islamic education

A Russian Caucasus expert, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that the existence of "commercial madrassas" in Chechnya was a revelation to him. "In Dagestan, all madrassas operate free of charge for students, using funds from zakat collection and donations from sponsors. In Dagestan, there are even religious educational institutions with boarding schools.

Students can receive free education, accommodation, and meals. If commercial madrassas exist, then, apparently, the situation in Chechnya with collecting zakat for Islamic education is worse, or not everyone is satisfied with it," he told a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The Caucasus expert suggested that these madrassas have no relation to the Spiritual Administration, and therefore charge a fee for their existence. "But the very call of the DUM of Chechnya to remove the fee is indicative. In that case, it would be interesting to know who and how will ensure the activities of these madrassas? Will the DUM be able to ensure their existence, or will they have to close? Since they are calling for the abolition of the fee, then there is probably something wrong with the control," he noted.

The educational programs in any madrasah can be controlled, the specialist added. "Because educational activities require a license in any case. This presupposes the presence of control," he said.

Ceasefire comes into effect in eastern Libyan Tripoli
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] In the capital of Libya, Tripoli, an agreement on a temporary ceasefire came into force on August 10. This was reported by the official representative of the Tripoli rescue and emergency services, Osama Ali.

He said that the warring parties, the national unity government of Abdelhamid Dbeibah and the government of Osama Hammad, had agreed to a truce between the armed groups that support them.

"A safe corridor has been provided for the evacuation of more than 60 families. Work is continuing to evacuate the rest," Gazeta.Ru quoted a source at the Tripoli emergency medical center as saying.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, there are two governments in Libya that do not recognize each other. The Dbeibah government is based in Tripoli. The Libyan parliament passed a vote of confidence in it in March 2021. The Hammad government is based in Benghazi and is supported by the Libyan National Army of Khalifa Haftar.

Last July, President Vladimir Putin met with the head of the Libyan presidential council, Mohammed al-Menfi, in St. Petersburg. The Russian leader announced Moscow's plans to continue to facilitate a settlement in Libya based on ensuring the country's "unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity."

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Wars of tomorrow, wars of yesterday
It’s hard not to imagine, with every innovation that is made in technology, what it will be like if is put to the use every technology in history seems to have been used for: warfare.

Airplanes, motors, artificial intelligence, even the first people to forge with steel instead of bronze or iron doubtless marveled at what fine swords and spears it would make. For decades, the democratic sphere of the world has been building their armies smarter.

American troops attacked Normandy and freed Europe with rifles, helmets and the shirts on their back; close to eighty years later, their descendants abandoned Afghanistan in shame with thousands of dollars apiece in tactical gear, armor, advanced firearms and drones. That doesn’t track, does it? How could an army grow less effective as it becomes infinitely more advanced?

The answer is not what the army is equipped with, but the will and heart within- and behind -those soldiers. In the Second World War, nations were fighting for their literal existence, to remain states of their own instead of being ground under the boot of Nazi Germany, the Japanese Empire, or the Soviet Union. In Afghanistan, politicians minced words into meaningless salad and served it to young Americans.

Now, look at the world’s reaction- the world’s outrage - to Israel’s war in Gaza, and fight against the Hezbollah forces in Lebanon. They cannot believe their eyes: shocked to the core by the mere sight of wounded civilians in an active warzone, or tanks driving in city streets. They cannot grasp that wars need to actually be fought, especially against the tendrils of Iran’s Islamic empire in Hamas and Hezbollah. Perhaps the politicians of Israel have committed a breach of etiquette; they forgot to dress their war in meaningless cliches about nation-building or hearts and minds, phrases wrung dry of any weight by their terminal overuse.

Despite this shattering of the illusion of a bloodless, war-less war of the future - imagined ever since the first bomber planes, perhaps even the first artillery cannons - the world forums are still outraged that the IDF is fighting a war by fighting a war. Perhaps it’s a lingering image of Afghanistan and the failed War on Terror, brought home to these people who never ran from a rocket siren in their lives except in video games and movies, a world where terrorists all live, all the time, in isolated complexes far from civilization, and elite soldiers can launch- this is always the word - operations to assassinate them.

This concept is far out of line for these Western pundits and social media trend-setters with the reality of the war against Hamas: a terrorist army entrenched in and under several cities, with any person among the seemingly civilian populace potentially being an agent of theirs. This is not the Hollywood war against terrorism where you fly across an ocean, a sea and two continents, then depart from a forward operating base to eliminate a Taliban mastermind. This is Israel’s actual, real war on terrorism, taking ground in an enemy country that is too close for anyone in the nation to ever be comfortable.

What the world envisioned was a war of cursors clicking, drones hovering, perhaps a handful of buildings raided in the dead of the night. This is not how a war is fought. The Americans had two decades to learn this in and by all appearances failed to. This will be an impolite war, fought without apologies or finesse, because the alternative is continuing to fight with precision and etiquette against an enemy whose most subtle tactic is stabbing a civilian to death for being an infidel.

In every generation our enemies have sought with tactics seldom changing to destroy us; lynch mobs, enslavement, ravaging of our towns and cities. The IDF has no reason to alter from the strategy that has best served the Jewish people to defeat our enemies, from the streets of Shushan to distant Uganda: their destruction with every means we can muster.

How Drones Have Changed Modern Warfare
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Text taken from the Telegram channel of xronikabpla

[ColonelCassad] War has changed before our eyes

The gods of the old war: Intelligence, Maneuverability, Speed, Logistics, Communications, Tools for Success Development – all of this remains relevant unless every point is cut off by drones… Reconnaissance drones, interceptor drones, fighter drones, strike drones, bomber drones, miner drones, long-range drones, drones, drones, drones…

Drones have brought the art of war to a standstill. Conducting a column, conducting reconnaissance, conducting a rotation, conducting a supply – everything has become a roulette with an unclear outcome. No one feels safe anymore. If it’s not an FPV drone, then a minefield that appeared out of nowhere. If it’s not a reconnaissance drone, then a repeater ball in the stratosphere. And behind them are exposed positions and the impossibility of moving without being noticed. And interceptor drones are already waiting for you in the air.

Without understanding the essence of the changes that have occurred, it may seem that the loss of priority in the drone war is a temporary phenomenon. We just need more drones and this will restore parity. That now our military-industrial complex will shake itself up and build up! As they built up shells, "calibers" and tanks.

But no, it will not build up if we do not answer some questions.

Why did drones flare up so brightly and strongly only in the SVO? Why did this not happen before? After all, drones have always been there. What happened and how important is it?

We see only what is open to our eyes. We see drones, talk about drones and believe that the matter is in some products, the production of which must be quickly established and everything will be fine.

And this is the main misconception. Drones are the tip of the iceberg. Parity is formed not by drones and their numbers, but by a number of important REASONS:

1. People. Direct interaction between developers and fighters without gaskets. The people who pass the chain are usually incompetent and prone to harmful creative rethinking.

2. Decentralization of development and production. Maximum involvement of everyone willing to help the country with their heads at the level of artels and small design bureaus. With many solutions, one will definitely work. Russia is still full of Kulibins.

3. Constant contact. Daily participation of developers in the lives of fighters. In fact, the artel is attached to the unit. There is no need to be afraid that the artels will start to fail and spoil. The military-industrial complex starts to fail and spoil when it gets involved in this area.

4. Hardware. The finished product is more important than documentation, regulations and acceptance tests. Now the hardware will change 100 times before the first set of design documentation is ready.

5. A penny element base and a technological designer without the word "import substitution".

6. Expansion of application scenarios. We try EVERYTHING that comes to mind.

7. Mentoring and maximum replication of successful practices.

The Titanic sank not the piece of ice that was above the water, but the one that was under. There can be no talk of any priority in the drone war without accepting the factors above as a guide to action. It was not the drones that came to war, but the new principles of management. Drones, like all sudden innovations, are only a consequence.

In Russia, at the beginning of the war, the interaction between spontaneous design bureaus and Army units developed in this way. That is why drones and airplanes and new means of communication appeared. We had this approach. But the enemy also appeared and remained with it. This interaction arises by itself, it does not need to be imposed. It can only be destroyed if the goal is to “preserve traditions”, introduce: monopolization, standardization and simplification.

Loss of priority will lead to loss of Initiative - the main goddess of War. And after the loss of initiative, losses may simply begin.

Ukrainian perspective: Operation in Kursk region
Direct Translation Via Google Translate. Edited

19:40 The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) calls for the Russian Federation to comply with the imperative to ensure the "physical integrity of the nuclear power plant" in connection with military actions near the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant in the Russian city of Kurchatov. This is stated in a statement by the organization.

18:00 More than 76,000 people have been evacuated from the border areas of the Kursk region, a representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported during a briefing in Kursk.

16:50 More than 16,000 residents of the Kursk region have asked to be resettled from border areas. This was stated by the mayor of Kursk Igor Kutsak.

13:03 In Kursk, the Russian Emergencies Ministry is setting up a tent city for 100 people to temporarily accommodate refugees from the battlefields.

09:37 A video has appeared on social networks in which Ukrainian soldiers claim that they have entered the village of Poroz in the Belgorod region.

09:12 Russian media write that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have entered the village of Plekhovo in the Kursk region.

08:59 IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi called for "maximum deterrence" amid military activity near the Kursk NPP. He recalled several nuclear safety principles that were established for the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP. According to Grossi, they can also be applied to the Kursk NPP.

02:33 The monitoring Telegram channel Nikolaevsky Vanek writes that in addition to reserves, conscripts and "some units that have never fought", operational reserves are moving or will be moving to the Kursk region from the following directions:

Kherson (two paratrooper battalions);

Zaporizhzhya (38th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade);

Kupyanskoye (several battalions of a motorized rifle regiment);

Kharkov (separate battalions of the 1009th Motorized Rifle Regiment, 79th Motorized Rifle Regiment, 272nd Motorized Rifle Regiment, and 138th Motorized Rifle Brigade were spotted);

Belgorod (from the Graivonsky district they are taking away about a company of one of the separate motorized rifle brigades, they also took away one of the motorized rifle regiments that attacked the settlement of Sotnitsky Kazachok);

Pokrovskoe (the 810th Separate Naval Infantry Brigade, which recently arrived from the Kherson direction, several assault infantry battalions);

Lugansk (Kadyrovites).

The public also reports that some such enemy movements, in particular in the Kupyansk direction, were recorded, and successful strikes were carried out at the moment of their movement.

00:20 Photos of a destroyed column of Russian military equipment in the Kursk region of Russia have appeared online. Some of the military trucks are completely burnt out, some are heavily damaged by submunitions or debris:

#6  [YouTube] Kursk Update: Russia Digs Fortifications Near Nuclear Power Plant, Ukraine Enters Makhnovka -Suchomimus

#7  Russian ploy to expose and destroy Ukrainians. I understand two months ago the Russians were aware of such an attack. Several areas were offered as alternative attack locations. Ukraine would present the last of their best. They expected Russian depletion of other front line positions. That never happened as Russians have plenty in reserve back up. Two major pathways to Power plant now totally secure. Progress has stopped. Things have grown quieter. Initiative siding to Russia. Aggressive attrition on full display. Ukrainian PR event.

#9  A strategy worthy of Stalin!
"Act crazy. When fascists come callin',
Invade, let them win,
And vice versa. Again.
Then, half dead, comrades, race to, er, Tallinn!"

#3  Interesting. Atkinson starts out by saying he's probably immune due to his public exposure. If I were one of the orcs running GB these days, I'd make a point of going after him to underscore the fact that no one was safe.
