IDF drone strike Wednesday on Syria-Lebanon border kills senior Islamic Jihad member, 3 others
More details about this story from yesterday.
[IsraelTimes] Army takes responsibility for attack on Beirut-Damascus highway, says it killed Fares Qasem, a prominent member of PIJ operations; Hezbollah operative also among the dead

In a rare admission, the Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday said it carried out a dronezap in Syria, killing a senior Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
operative.

According to the IDF, the Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
on the Syrian side of the Beirut-Damascus highway, near the border between Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
and Syria, killed Firas Qasem.

The military said Qasem was a prominent member of Islamic Jihad’s operations unit.

"Qasem was tasked with building operational plans for the PIJ terror organization in Syria and Lebanon, and played a central role in recruiting Paleostinian turbans into the Hezbollah terror organization, for the purpose of carrying out terror operations from Lebanon against the State of Israel," the IDF said.

The IDF said that in recent years, Hezbollah, with Iranian funding, has been recruiting Paleostinians into its ranks to attack Israel.

Two more PIJ operatives were killed in the strike, along with a Hezbollah operative, two security sources told Rooters.

Hezbollah later announced that its member Muhammad Taha, from Baalbek, had been killed "on the road to Jerusalem," its term for operatives slain in Israeli strikes.

PIJ also announced the deaths of Qasem and two other members, named as Osama Areesha and Hussam Areesha.

The IDF said the four were driving from Syria to Lebanon to carry out operations on behalf of Hezbollah.

The IDF rarely takes responsibility for strikes in Syria.

The Damascus-based Islamic Jihad has sent a stream of fighters from Syria to join Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon. Both groups are supported by Iran. Israel also frequently targets Iran-backed fighters in Syria, although it rarely acknowledges the strikes.

Later on Wednesday, Lebanese media reported a series of Israeli airstrikes near the town of Ain al-Tineh, in the Western Beqaa District, around 12 miles (20 kilometers) from the Israeli border.

Footage posted to social media showed several plumes of smoke rising from a mountain near the town.

Another alleged Israeli strike late Tuesday night hit a pickup truck loaded with Hezbollah missiles that was traveling in northeast Lebanon, some six miles from the city of Baalbek, according to AFP. One person was maimed in the strike, the health ministry in Lebanon said. A source close to Hezbollah confirmed the hit Tuesday night, saying: "The munitions that were inside the truck caught fire."

The IDF said it also carried out an airstrike against a building in southern Lebanon’s Odaisseh on Tuesday, after spotting a cell of Hezbollah operatives there.

So far, the skirmishes with Hezbollah have resulted in 26 civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of 20 IDF soldiers and reservists. There have also been several attacks from Syria, without any injuries.

Hezbollah has named 430 members who have been killed by Israel during the ongoing skirmishes, mostly in Lebanon but some also in Syria. Another 76 operatives from other terror groups, a Lebanese soldier, and dozens of civilians have been killed.

Harris campaign hires Egyptian American lawyer from Michigan to lead Arab outreach
Jobs for friends? It doesn’t sound like the lady is going to make any difference on the political side.
[IsraelTimes] Ex-Homeland Security staffer Brenda Abdelall joins new Muslim outreach leader, as VP aims to win back voters in heavily Arab swing state angered by Biden’s support for Israel amid Gaza war

Kamala Harris
Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's' former mistress
’s campaign for US president has hired an Egyptian American lawyer and former Department of Homeland Security official to help lead outreach to Arab American voters who hold sway in some states that could help decide the November 5 election, the campaign said on Wednesday.

Brenda Abdelall would be tasked with shoring up support from a community frustrated with US support for Israel’s war in Gazoo

war.

US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The man who made Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter look competent, if only by comparison....
won a large share of the Arab and Moslem vote in 2020, but his support for Israel despite the high corpse count in Gaza has frustrated many community members. They launched an "uncommitted" campaign against him in the Democratic nominating contests.

Michigan, where Harris is due to visit next week, is home to one of the largest Moslem and Arab American populations in the United States. More than 100,000 voters in the state’s primary cast their ballot "uncommitted" instead of for Biden, who later stepped aside as candidate on July 21.

Some activists say they hold Harris responsible for the Biden administration’s Israel policy and the crisis in Gaza.

Following last week’s Democratic convention, pro-Paleostinian activists said Harris had failed to demonstrate any break from the status quo.

While pro-Paleostinian voices are not expected to vote for Trump and have indicated no support for the Republican, some activists have launched a campaign called "Abandon Harris" and have urged their supporters to back third-party candidates.

Abdelall, Harris’s pick for Arab American outreach, most recently served as senior counselor to the Department of Homeland Security’s secretary. She joined the agency in January 2021, shortly after Trump left office, to be chief of staff for the department’s civil rights office.

Abdelall, who grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, previously ran a food blog and website focused on Middle Eastern cuisine. She has taught Middle Eastern cooking classes at a culinary school in northern Virginia.

Gas leak in an Iranian Revolutionary Guard center kills 2 and injures 10
[IsraelTimes] Authorities do not specify whether injuries at site in Isfahan province were caused by asphyxiation from gas or an explosion

A gas leak caused the death of two people and injured 10 others at an Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard center, Iranian state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
reported Thursday.

The leak occurred Wednesday night at a workshop belonging to the Guard in Isfahan province, and the injured people were transferred to a hospital for treatment, it said.

The Isfahan Provincial Guard identified the dead as Capt. Mojtaba Nazari and Lt. Col. Mokhtar Morshedi, the report said.

The Guard’s statement did not say if the two senior officers died from being asphyxiated by gas, or if the gas leak caused a kaboom. It did not say how the people were maimed or give other details.

A number of deadly explosions at Revolutionary Guard facilities have occurred in recent years. The most notable came in 2011, when a blast at a missile base near Tehran killed 17 people including Commander Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, who led the paramilitary force’s missile program. Initially, authorities described the blast as an accident, though a former prisoner later said the Guard interrogated him on suspicion that Israel caused the earth-shattering kaboom.

Iran’s central Isfahan province has been of interest to Israel because many of Iran’s nuclear facilities are located there. The underground Natanz nuclear facility, located in the province, is the country’s main uranium enrichment facility. There, centrifuges rapidly spin uranium hexafluoride gas to enrich uranium.

Iran sees Israel as a prime suspect in launching a series of attacks on Iran, including an April 2021 assault on its underground Natanz nuclear facility that damaged its centrifuges. In 2020, Iran blamed Israel for a sophisticated attack that killed its top military nuclear scientist.

Behind Gaza polio case, experts see ‘horrible’ WHO decision fueling outbreaks worldwide
Explaining the panic: Gaza had an anti-polio vaccination campaign only a few months ago, when something like 90% of the population was vaccinated, as I recall.
[IsraelTimes] UN body removed strain from oral prophylactic in 2016, leaving children vulnerable to vaccine-derived viruses circulating silently, with over 3,300 paralyzed by disease since

who was recently paralyzed by polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set. Currently the disease is only found in Pakistain and Afghanistain...
was infected with a mutated strain of the virus that vaccinated people shed in their waste, according to scientists who say the case is the result of "an unqualified failure" of public health policy.

The infection, which marked the first detection of polio in the war-torn Paleostinian territory in more than 25 years, paralyzed the lower part of one leg in the unvaccinated 10-month-old child. The baby boy was one of hundreds of thousands of children who missed vaccinations because of the fighting between Israel and Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
Scientists who have been monitoring polio outbreaks said the baby’s illness showed the failures of a global effort by the World Health Organization and its partners to fix serious problems in their otherwise largely successful eradication campaign, which has nearly wiped out the highly infectious disease. Separately, a draft report by experts deemed the WHO effort a failure and "a severe setback."

The polio strain in question evolved from a weakened virus that was originally part of an oral vaccine credited with preventing millions of children worldwide from being paralyzed. But that virus, known as Type 2, was removed from the vaccine in 2016 in hopes of preventing vaccine-derived outbreaks.

Public health authorities knew that decision would leave people unprotected against that particular strain, but they thought they had a plan to ward off and quickly contain any outbreaks. Instead, the move resulted in a surge of thousands of cases.

"It was a really horrible strategy," said Columbia University virologist Vincent Racaniello, who was not involved with the report or the WHO. "The decision to switch vaccines was based on an incorrect assumption, and the result is now we have more polio and more paralyzed children."

A draft copy of the report commissioned by the WHO and independent experts said the plan underestimated the amount of the strain in the environment and overestimated how well officials would be able to squash outbreaks.

The plan led to vaccine-linked polio outbreaks in 43 countries that paralyzed more than 3,300 children, the report concluded.

Even before the Gaza case was detected, officials reviewing the initiative to tinker with the vaccine concluded that "the worst-case scenario has materialized," the report said.

The report has not yet been published, and some changes will likely be made before the final version is released next month, the WHO said.

The strain that infected the baby in Gaza had lingered in the environment and mutated into a version capable of starting outbreaks. It was traced to polio viruses spreading last year in Egypt, according to genetic sequencing, the WHO said.

In 2022, vaccine-linked polio viruses were found to be spreading in Britannia, Israel and the US, where an unvaccinated man was paralyzed in upstate New York.

Scientists now worry that the emergence of polio in a war zone with an under-immunized population could fuel further spread.

The WHO said Thursday that it had reached an agreement with Israel for limited pauses in fighting in Gaza to allow for the vaccinations. The agency’s representative in the Paleostinian territories said the first three-day pause would start Sunday in central Gaza. That will be followed by another three-day pause in southern Gaza and then another in northern Gaza. The pauses were to last eight or nine hours each day.

Racaniello said the failure to track polio carefully and to sufficiently protect children against the strain removed from the vaccine has had devastating consequences.

"Only about 1% of polio cases are symptomatic, so 99% of infections are silently spreading the disease," he said.

IDF says it killed 2 terrorists Friday night as car bombs detonate in West Bank attacks; 3 hurt
[IsraelTimes] Army investigating possible link between concurrent attacks in Gush Etzion, searching for additional suspects

The IDF said Friday night it had killed two Paleostinian Lions of Islam in the Gush Etzion area of the West Bank in two separate but possibly linked attacks, which saw two suspected boom-mobiles detonate around the same time.

In the first incident, a car went kaboom! at a gas station near the Gush Etzion junction. Troops dispatched to the scene rubbed out a terrorist who had arrived in the vehicle and who attempted to attack them, the military said.

Two men were moderately and lightly maimed by gunfire amid the incident, medics said, likely as a result of friendly fire while forces shot the alleged terrorist dead.

In the second incident, a Paleostinian rammed a car through the entrance to the nearby settlement of Karmei Tzur. IDF troops shot up the attacker.

One of the members of the local security team, in his own car, crashed into the attacker and killed him. The guard himself was lightly hurt.

A short while later, the assailant’s car went kaboom! due to a bomb planted in it.

The military was investigating both attacks and their possible connection, as well as searching for additional possible suspects.

Footage posted to social media showed the moment the suspect at the gas station was shot.

The commander of the IDF’s Etzion Regional Brigade, Col. Gal Rich, was slightly maimed in the gas station incident, a military source said. Rich was hit in the arm by gunfire. He was treated by medics and was in good condition.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said it took to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem a 24-year-old in moderate condition and a 34-year-old in good condition after they were shot at the gas station.

Earlier this week the military launched counterterrorism operations in several West Bank cities, killing multiple button men. The IDF’s West Bank operations were conducted in the wake of an attempted suicide kaboom in Tel Aviv last week. The bomber, whose explosive detonated prematurely, was named by the Hamas

terror group as Jaafar Mona, from the West Bank city of Nablus.

Hamas official Khaled Mashaal called in a speech in Istanbul Wednesday for the resumption of suicide kabooms, according to reports in Arabic media.

Seized Hamas documents show terror group inflated its support rates, IDF says
[IsraelTimes] Actual support for Hamas, Sinwar and Oct. 7 said to be far lower than published; army says influential Palestinian polling firm uninvolved in scam; lead pollster doubts claims

The Israel Defense Forces released Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
documents on Thursday that it said showed Hamas had secretly falsified its levels of public support in polls conducted by the Ramallah-based Paleostinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR).

The IDF said the documents do not prove that PCPSR was cooperating with Hamas, but rather that the terror group was conducting clandestine actions to fraudulently influence the results of the polls.

PCPSR, which is based in the West Bank city of Ramallah, is run by prominent Paleostinian pollster Khalil Shikaki.

In the Gazoo

Strip, the firm uses Gazook data collectors to conduct surveys in residential areas and shelters for displaced Paleostinians, and it is thought that Hamas was able to take advantage of this to manipulate the results later sent back to Shikaki.

The alleged Hamas security apparatus documents (English translated version), which the military said were found in Gaza, showed the results of a PCPSR poll from March 2024, with both the alleged original data and the falsified numbers.

One document, under "corrected result" — the figure that was published — gave Hamas’s approval rating in Gaza as 62 percent, compared with what was termed the "actual result" of 31.9% support; Hamas Gaza chief Yahya Sinwar’s "corrected" approval rating as 52%, up from 22.1% "actual" support; and there was a 71% "corrected" approval rating for the October 7 onslaught, up from an "actual" 30.7%.

"The survey results have been revised according to the practices followed in previous surveys, and the results have been sent by the source to the center in Ramallah," read the document.

"Note: The attached actual survey results are confidential and intended for limited distribution," it added.

According to the IDF, the documents it recovered in Gaza "prove an extensive effort by the terror organization to falsify the results of [the PCPSR] polls, to create a false representation of the Gazook public’s support for the terror organization, especially after the massacre [in Israel] on October 7.

"These documents are part of a systematic process, the purpose of which is to disguise the collapse of the organization, and the collapse of public support for it," the IDF claimed.

The military said the documents "emphasize the importance that the Hamas terror organization sees in the results of the polls, to falsify Paleostinian support and to influence the Paleostinian public and Arab and international public opinion."

Prominent Paleostinian pollster Khalil Shikaki, who runs the polling firm, said it was "highly unlikely" that Hamas falsified the results of the polls conducted in Gaza.

"Our Gaza team worked with us for more than 20 years. But we will investigate all claims as part of a commitment to ensure full quality control," Shikaki told The Times of Israel.

Shikaki maintained that the IDF claim was part of a "battle over narratives" between the military and the terror group. "The center doesn’t involve itself in politics, which is how I view this: The army against Hamas in the battle over narratives," he said.

The documents shared by the IDF said the falsified poll results were shown "as-is on Al Jazeera" after Hamas reached out to "Brother Tamer al-Misshal," a Doha-based Paleostinian host for the channel.

Alongside the inflation of Hamas’s approval rating, the documents showed an occasional downgrading in support for Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....>
, head of the terror group’s secularist rival Fatah, which rules the West Bank.

In a poll question on who Gazooks would vote for in a potential election between Abbas and Hamas’s then-chief Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
, the documents gave Abbas a 22% "corrected result" — down from a 25.8% "actual result" — and Haniyeh 48% of the "corrected vote," up from an "actual" 21.3%.

In other areas of the survey, however, support for Abbas was revised modestly upward. Thus, when respondents were asked who would rule Gaza after the war, "PA led by Abbas" received a "corrected" 19%, up from an "actual" 18.2%, according to the documents the army released. Hamas, meanwhile, got a "corrected" 52%, up from an "actual" 36.8%, while the IDF received a "corrected" 1%, down from an "actual" 11.5%.

Tampon Tim's Own Brother Considers Joining Forces with Trump, Slams Governor as ‘Unfit to Make Decisions About Your Future'
[Gateway] Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s own brother, Jeff Walz, has reportedly considered joining forces with former President Donald Trump, publicly criticizing his brother as "not the type of character you want making decisions about your future."

The discovery was made by conservative journalist Laura Loomer, who uncovered Jeff Walz’s Facebook profile, which contains a series of posts highly critical of both his brother and the current administration.

Did Walz Fib About His Political 'Origin Story'?
[HotAir] Did Walz Fib About His Political 'Origin Story'?

This looks slightly more serious as an instance of political dishonesty than the Case of the Missing Big Mac, but maybe not by much. Apparently, a story told by Tim Walz about the George Bush campaign provoking him into a career in electoral politics has some serious holes in it. But is it far enough off from the truth to matter these days?

Earlier this afternoon, investigative reporter Gabe Kaminsky dug into a tale told by Walz that claimed he had only chosen a career in politics after getting denied entrance to a Bush campaign rally in Mankato, along with two students he brought with him for the "educational experience." Supposedly, a Kerry sticker on one of the students' wallets prompted a staffer to rebuff their efforts to enter the rally.

Or so Walz' story goes. Kaminsky has a different explanation at the Washington Examiner, one that puts a different light on Coach Walz' claims. For one thing, Walz actually did get into the rally. The teenagers weren't his students either, and they had provoked a confrontation with the campaign a few days earlier:

That’s because Klaber and Burkhart had a public confrontation with the Bush campaign days before the 2004 rally. The teenagers were heard making “unfavorable comments” about Bush as they waited in line and were initially denied tickets, according to an archived news report.

After the story was reported by local news, because Klaber called the press, the Bush campaign contacted the teenagers and offered them tickets. In the lead-up to the 2004 election, there was heightened protest activity as police made arrests at campaign events. Klaber’s parents knew Walz and asked him to chaperone the teenagers to the event, expecting they may run into a problem.

They did: That day, as the trio waited in line, Bush campaign staffers told them that the Secret Service deemed Klaber and Burkhart a threat. Walz, in his retelling of the matter in 2006, said he was indignant. “As a soldier, I told them I had a right to see my commander in chief,” Walz said at a 2006 campaign event in Minnesota.

The Bush campaign staffers interrogated Walz and wanted to know if he supported Bush, according to Walz. But while the students were barred from the event, Walz was not, and walked right inside, one source said.

Still, the details may not match up, but the differences are perhaps not starkly black-and-white. But was this truly Walz' political awakening? Not really:

In ‘04, I worked for the MNGOP. President Bush visited Mankota on August 4, 2004, and I took pictures of protesters outside the event. Tim Walz (pictured on the far-right) protested Bush’s visit to Minnesota. The thread below from Walz about his role at Bush’s event is dishonest. https://t.co/rEpzoF0yE9 pic.twitter.com/ygLiIEG4p1
— Michael Brodkorb (@mbrodkorb) August 17, 2020

And this leaves us ... where, exactly? Maybe it didn't go down like Walz claims, but at least some of the elements are not in dispute. Kaminsky's report cautiously allows room for that, claiming that Walz' story has "significant inaccuracies" rather than being a false explanation. Walz may have been willing to protest Bush over the war -- and this certainly puts his snap retirement rather than deployment in a different and less-flattering light too -- but maybe he didn't have electoral ambitions before then, too. Who's to say when he got inspired to run for office? We know that Walz didn't run for office until the next cycle.

How Venezuela's Socialists Unleashed the Tren de Aragua, America's Fastest Growing Gang Threat
[Breitbart] The Tren de Aragua, the Venezuelan transnational crime syndicate now terrorizing several U.S. cities, established a firm criminal presence after socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro emptied Venezuela’s prisons in late 2023.

In recent years, the Tren de Aragua spread its presence across several Latin American countries such as Colombia, Chile, and Peru before reaching the United States, with several of its members passing through the U.S. southern border. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) began tracking Tren de Aragua encounters at the border as early as March 2023.

The gang, which originally began in 2012 as a local trade union in the eponymous state of Aragua, evolved into a full-fledged crime syndicate over the past decade under the auspices of the Maduro regime, with which it is believed to maintain deep ties. Tren de Aragua’s extensive list of crimes are believed to range from theft, homicide, extortion, contraband, and kidnapping to drug, human, and arms trafficking.

The gang achieved its dramatic expansion notably in part due to the Venezuelan socialists’ prison policies, which granted the country’s main gangs full internal control of the inmate facilities, ruling them under a pseudo-fiefdom system locally known as the Pranato (“Pranate”).

The Maduro regime’s lenient prison policies, together with the Pranate system — which features its own extensive lexicon based on the language of the pran, or “thug” — effectively allowed gang leaders to orchestrate criminal activities from within prisons. The gangs rampantly engaging in extortion, kidnappings, and robberies, among other crimes, with apparent impunity, while the Venezuelan National Guard safeguards the gang-controlled prisons from outside attack.

Under the Tren de Aragua’s Pranate of the Tocorón prison, located in Aragua, the gang’s founder and leader Héctor “The Child” Guerrero oversaw the group’s criminal activities and its international expansion across Latin America, which reportedly began in 2018.

Guerrero, as the prison’s pran, also oversaw Tocorón’s internal transformation, turning it into the main headquarters of the gang with “amenities” including its own zoo, baseball field, bars, a casino, a nightclub, a bank, a pool, playgrounds, and its own cryptocurrency farm.

The gang’s international expansion is believed to have started in places such as the Colombian town of La Parada, where the gang engaged in the extortion, smuggling, and sexual trafficking of Venezuelan migrants fleeing from socialism in what is now considered to be the worst migrant crisis in the Western Hemisphere.

In September, the Maduro regime “raided” Tocorón and “dismantled” the gang after years of apparent indifference towards Tren de Aragua and its extensive criminal activities. The “raid” concluded with Tocorón emptied of its inmates as part of a broader “security” initiative known as the Cacique Guaicaipuro Liberation Operation that resulted in other prisons, such as the Tocuyito prison — at the time Venezuela’s most populated prison — also emptied of its inmates.

Experts believe that the Maduro regime negotiated with Guerrero before the “raid,” allowing him and his top brass to safely escape through a series of tunnels that connected the inmate center with the nearby Lake Valencia. Gang members had frequently used the tunnels to freely come and go from the prison at their leisure. Guerrero’s whereabouts remain unknown at press time.

Authorities from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office in Chicago, Illinois, reportedly confirmed the presence of Tren de Aragua’s gang members in the city since at least October 2023 — weeks after the “raid” of Tocorón.

In the months following the “raid,” other U.S. cities began reporting criminal acts linked to the gang. U.S. authorities have confirmed the active presence of Tren de Aragua in other cities such as Miami, New York, Dallas, and Atlanta. According to internal documentation from the Department of Homeland Security, Tren de Aragua has given the “green light” to its members to attack U.S. law enforcement officers.

The city of Aurora, Colorado, which neighbors sanctuary city Denver, also reported the presence of the gang in its territory, taking over entire apartment complexes. The Aurora police department announced last week the creation of a joint task force with both Colorado’s state patrol and the state’s Bureau of Investigation to address the growing threat of Tren de Aragua in the state.

In May, law enforcement authorities in Louisiana dismantled a sex trafficking network linked to Tren de Aragua that arranged for its victims to be smuggled into the United States after teaching them how to request asylum at the southern border. The sex trafficking gang then forced the victims into prostitution to pay for the “debt” accrued from smuggling them into the United States.

The Maduro regime’s official “stance” on the Tren de Aragua appears to vary depending on what suits them at a specific moment. Several of the rogue socialist regime’s members, such as Foreign Minister Yvan Gil and Attorney General Tarek William Saab repeatedly insisted throughout the year that Tren de Aragua “does not exist” and is part of an alleged international smear campaign to hurt the rogue regime’s image.

Last week, Gil claimed that Tren de Aragua — which according to him does not exist — is allegedly working with the Venezuelan opposition to stage a coup against dictator Nicolás Maduro following his fraudulent presidential “reelection” in July.

Reports published in April indicated that the Maduro regime employed the gang to hunt down Venezuelan dissidents in foreign countries. Venezuelan dissident Ronald Ojeda was abducted from his residence in Santiago, Chile, in late February by individuals linked to the Tren de Aragua. Ojeda’s body was found buried inside a suitcase under a concrete structure ten days after his abduction.

In April, Argentine Security Minister Patricia Bullrich denounced Tren de Aragua as a state-sponsored terrorist group, asserting that its criminal actions as “not autonomous” from that of the socialist Maduro regime.

“The Tren de Aragua does not strike in just any way. The Tren de Aragua strikes with a procedure, with a matrix of operation, with a logic that always does exactly the same thing,” Bullrich explained at the time. “It settles in a certain place. It comes with a group in general of Venezuelan nationality.”

“Consequently, it is important to analyze whether it is an organization that is autonomous from the state or not autonomous from the state. I tend to think that it is not autonomous from the state,” she continued.

The Tocorón and Tocuyito prisons emptied by the Venezuelan socialists last year will soon serve as the Maduro regime’s new “re-education centers” for anti-socialists. The refurbishing is part of the Maduro regime’s ongoing brutal crackdown following the July 28 sham presidential election, which Maduro fraudulently insists he “won.”

The arrival of dissidents to the two prisons reportedly started this week — including groups of minors that the Maduro regime has detained through the ongoing dissident crackdown.

Brooklyn Parents Raise Alarm over All-Male Migrant Shelter Near Private School
[Breitbart] Residents of Brooklyn, New York, are saying “none of us knew” or consented to a men’s migrant shelter being opened near their children’s private Christian school.

The all-male, 400-bed shelter opened in the borough’s Gowanus neighborhood in April right around the corner from City Life Academy, Fox News reported.

“I try not to worry about this too much,” concerned mother Irina Edelstein said during a Thursday appearance on Fox & Friends First. “There’s enough running around and getting ready for school as it is. And, trying not to let anxiety get to me.”

According to the mom of three, “No one told us from the city side about the shelter’s coming up.”

“We found out from local residents when they stopped us at the pickup and they said, did you guys know right around the corner here, the shelter’s opening up for 400 men. None of us knew. Even the principal didn’t know,” Edelstein complained.

The shelter is located in an old factory at 130 3rd Street, prompting worried members of the Third Street Block Association to sue the city, the building’s landlord, and the shelter’s operator, alleging that the use of the property as housing violates zoning laws, the Brownstoner reported.

According to the International Women’s Forum (IWF), environmental testing protocols and other building codes were not adhered to by city officials while they worked to accelerate the shelter’s opening.

Edelstein also said city council members claimed they reached out to schools and spoke to principals before the shelter was opened, but that was “absolutely not true.”

Her fears of safety risks following the shelter’s opening have not been unfounded — a suspected migrant was seen attempting to break into her car while she was picking up her children from the academy.

“I was walking back to my car and one parent stopped me and she said, there are two guys [that] just walked by your car and tried to open it while you were inside the school. And she said that looked like the guys who were residents of the nearby shelter,” she said.

Residents in Austin neighborhood concerned about crime as police department struggles with understaffing
[FoxNews] Understaffing in the Austin Police Department in Texas has left residents concerned about crime in the city.

Residents in the Montopolis neighborhood in Austin’s southeast told KVUE-TV crime in their area is getting worse.

Delwin Goss told the station he woke up to gunshots in the neighborhood overnight Thursday, which he said has become shockingly common.

"It’s making the hair on my arms stand up. To hear eight, nine, 10 shots. Just bam, bam, bam. Where are those bullets going?" he said.

He said his neighbor told him she hears gunshots from her home between two to three times a week.

"I don't want to be shot sleeping in my bed," he added.

And although Austin Police told him when he called they were already investigating, he blames the department’s understaffing problem.

Austin Police Association President Mike Bullock addressed the officer shortage Thursday, writing on X, "500 officers short has a real impact on businesses and Austinites who expect to be able to safely run a business and live in Austin. We’re so close to having a contract that can make significant progress towards ending the staffing crisis. Question now is if the city will actually prioritize making it happen."

Austin City Council Member Mackenzie Kelly addressed the police understaffing problem this week while speaking on the Austin Police Association’s podcast, attributing it to funding cuts in 2020.

"Our staffing currently at the police department is a direct result of the failed policy that was passed in 2020 to remove funding for the police department," she told Bullock.

#3  I think it is an interesting experiment, getting rid of the police. Leaving aside their role in municipal revenue generation, do we really need cops? What if we simply rely on the angels of our better nature?

I also think it is a stupid and self-evident experiment. But by actually doing it, we know for sure. No need for speculation. It's a stupid idea.

Pity we don't have a model of a real-world city to play with, like SimCity but with added details and realism. We could try out various policies and plans and maybe get a foretaste of the coming disasters.

After video of armed Venezuelan gang shared by local official goes viral, Colorado city takes action
[Foxnews] Aurora, Colorado Mayor Mike Coffman announced on Friday that the city is starting the process of clearing the apartment buildings where transnational armed gang Tren de Aragua has taken over.

In a statement posted to Facebook, Coffman shared "the Aurora City Attorney's Office is preparing court documents to request an emergency court order to clear the apartment buildings where Venezuelan gang activity has been occurring by declaring the properties a ‘Criminal Nuisance.’"

"This will require a municipal judge to issue the order with the goal of getting these properties back under the control of the property owners. In the meantime, the law enforcement task force set up to disrupt and arrest Venezuelan gang members in these buildings will continue its operation. I strongly believe that the best course of action is to shut these building[s] down and make sure that this never happens again," concluded Coffman.

One has already been picked up. In an email to Fox News Digital, Aurora Police Department confirmed that Tren de Aragua leader "Cookie Monster" is currently in custody in relation to a shooting on July 28.

Fox 31 reports that the men seen in the video that has gone viral are armed members of the Tren de Aragua gang, according to Department of Homeland Security sources.

Alleged Venezuelan gang members armed and dangerous in Colorado apartment complexVideo

The move to apprehend the armed Venezuelan gang members comes after a blitz of national media attention on the city of Aurora thanks to the efforts of Council Member Danielle Jurinsky.

After assisting residents Cindy and Edward Romero on Wednesday, they were able to share a video which has since gone viral online and on the air.

Jurinsky was soon featured on the Ingraham Angle telling the Romeros' story, and Cindy Romero joined America Reports on Friday to bring attention to the problem.

It is unclear when exactly the armed gang members will be apprehended and the buildings will be cleared.

Nicaragua Changing Law to Allow Mass Confiscations and Transnational Persecution
Totalitarians gotta total.
[Breitbart] The communist dictator of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, is preparing a change to the country’s criminal code to expand his ability to seize assets en masse and impose lifetime prison sentences on dissidents, including those abroad.

Ortega presented the proposed change to the Nicaraguan National Assembly on Thursday — a formality, as the legislative body is fully stacked with loyalist lawmakers. The change is expected to be approved as early as Tuesday, September 3, according to local outlets.

It will modify 27 articles of the Nicaraguan criminal code. One of the main modifications, the local newspaper Confidencial explained, will be the introduction of the “principle of universality,” which means that Nicaraguan criminal laws will also be applicable to Nicaraguans or foreigners who have committed crimes such as money laundering and terrorism while outside of Nicaraguan territory.

Confidencial pointed out that the Ortega regime has utilized accusations of alleged terrorism, money laundering, and other purported crimes to persecute and imprison dissidents in the past. It has also seized the assets of some 5500 non-governmental organizations in the country through similar accusations.

The modifications will reportedly introduce prison sentences of ten to 15 years for those who call for international sanctions against the Ortega regime, its businesses, or any of its officials. The soon-to-be approved proposal will also increase prison sentences for what the Ortega regime defines as “treason” to a maximum of 30 years. In addition, Ortega’s anti-dissident criminal modifications will allow the communist regime to prosecute dissidents in absentia.

Nicaraguan opposition politician Felix Maradiaga described the upcoming changes to Confidencial as “a dangerous escalation” in the Ortega regime’s repressive strategy.

“This change not only seeks to expand the regime’s ability to persecute opponents within Nicaragua, but also extends its reach beyond national borders, becoming a weapon of transnational repression,” Maradiaga said.

“Ortega is no longer satisfied with imprisoning and expelling the most uncomfortable dissidents, he now intends to try to confiscate the assets of those in exile, expanding his ability to silence the opposition anywhere in the world,” he continued.

Former Nicaraguan lawmaker Eliseo Núñez pointed out to the Nicaraguan newspaper 100% Noticias that any person accused of money laundering, ranging from dissidents to bottom managers of non-governmental organizations, could be sentenced to life imprisonment with the new changes.

“They are putting in there the issue of money laundering and life imprisonment which was not in the Penal Code,” Núñez said. “It must be remembered that the recent constitutional reform establishes that life imprisonment is only for heinous crimes, etcetera, and now they are putting it in the issue of laundering, which is serious.”

Núñez emphasized that most of Ortega’s dissidents and non-governmental organizations have been accused by the communist regime of “money laundering,” which is why he considers that the changes will increase criminalization of the dictator’s opponents.

“The financial relationship that one could have with foreign agents is already criminalized through the Law of Foreign Agents and now they are imposing a penalty that was only reserved for atrocious crimes and other types of crimes and now it is for money laundering,” Núñez stressed.

The former lawmaker said that he does not rule out that the Ortega regime will apply the new laws against its own people.

“They are now on a crusade against themselves – that is, they are also going to use this against their own people. Nobody in that country, even if they declare themselves Ortega supporters or followers of Rosario [Murillo, Ortega’s wife and vice president], nobody is safe,” Núñez said. “So this is designed for those who remain in there, but mainly it is designed for the few NGOs that are still functioning, which are very few.”

Nicaraguan lawyer and human rights activist Yonarqui Martínez told 100% Noticias that the ability to hold trials in absentia against dissidents that the changes will introduce violates the right of due process and will facilitate the confiscation of the dissidents’ properties without a final sentence.

“The novelty is that they are going to judge people who are outside the country, and what kind of evidence the Prosecutor’s Office is going to legalize and it will have the force, it will be valid evidence in trial if you are supposedly committing a crime outside the country,” Martínez said.

The lawyer said the reform will “simplify and perfect” the violation of the right to property of Nicaraguans.

“In fact, they have been taking properties without even trying people, because let’s remember that many people were imprisoned, expelled and [their property] confiscate; now they come without a firm sentence,” Martínez pointed out.

Ortega has dramatically increased his repression of dissidents since the 2018 wave of anti-communist protests, when thousands took to the streets to demand an end to the Ortega regime’s decades-long authoritarian rule of Nicaragua.

In recent years, Ortega has banished dozens of dissidents, seizing their assets and stripping them of their Nicaraguan nationality, rendering them stateless persons in clear violation of international law.

Ortega has also launched a brutal persecution campaign against the Nicaraguan Catholic Church as punishment for its leaders’ support of the anti-communist protesters in 2018. Ortega’s persecution of Catholicism in the country has resulted in the banishment of several of its members, the unjust imprisonment of its priests, the banning of most Catholic processions and traditional festivities, and the forced closure and seizure of Catholic media and universities in the country.

The communist dictator’s crackdown and repression of dissidents most notably features the ongoing aid of Russia, which has assisted Ortega with “retraining” the Nicaraguan police to bolster their repressive capabilities and the installation of a Russian-operated spy center in the Central American nation.

Lawsuit: Fulton County Fails To Maintain Accurate Voter Rolls, Violating State And Federal Law
[Federalist] Fulton County, Georgia, is allegedly not maintaining its voter rolls, according to a recently filed in federal court.

The suit, brought by Fulton County residents Jason Frazier and Earl Ferguson against Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger and members of the Fulton County Department of Registrations and Elections (FCDRE), alleges that "Fulton County does not maintain, nor does it even attempt to maintain, accurate voter rolls."

The suit cites, in part, testimony from Atlanta city attorney Patrise Perkins-Hooker who said last November that "Fulton County never does an independent search for anybody; dead people, felons, people who live out of state."

Perkins-Hooker said the Secretary of State’s office sends Fulton County a list of potentially ineligible voters who are then notified by the county about such allegations.

"We don’t have the right, to remove anybody’s privilege to vote without a hearing," Perkins-Hooker said. "We are not, on our own, initiating any investigation of our voting rolls to remove anybody."

But the suit argues that Fulton County is obligated to maintain clean and accurate voting rolls, citing state law which says "the board of registrars of each county or municipality shall have the right and shall be charged with the duty of examining from time to time the qualifications of each elector ... ." The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), also requires states to "conduct a general program that makes a reasonable effort to remove the names of ineligible voters from the official lists of eligible voters."

Animal lovers dismayed as Iowa's Phill the escaped water buffalo is shot and captured
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Animal lovers have been greatly concerned after Phill, the escaped water buffalo was shot and captured.

Phill had become popular in Iowa, as he stole the hearts of neighbors with his spontaneous strolls and adorable front door visits.

The water buffalo, who got his name after Pleasant Hill, had jumped on top of his owner on Saturday, right before he was about to be slaughtered.

The brave animal managed to escape to freedom and roamed the streets, until Wednesday, when he was captured by the police department, after a caller alerted them to the situation.

Police shot the animal in order to get hold of him, and he turned out to be in stable condition at the Iowa State University Large Animal Hospital, before he was eventually transferred to the Iowa Farm Sanctuary.

The Pleasant Hill Police Department shared on Facebook, that the animal was 'aggressive,' while they attempted to catch him.

They shared online: 'Neither the collaborating animal control department, nor we, have tranquilizers, or equipment to handle such a unique situation,' therefore a gun was used.

The Animal Rescue League has signed over the full custody of Phill to the The Iowa Farm Sanctuary, a place where the animals explore the fields and go swimming in the pond.

US says Israel behind aid convoy shooting, must ‘immediately rectify’ its conduct
”It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”

[IsraelTimes] US envoy claims IDF pinned incident on communication error; army is yet to formally comment after WFP paused Gaza activity following shooting toward car, in which nobody was hurt.

But wait — there’s MORE!!!
US aid group admits Gaza convoy was taken over by unvetted people before IDF struck them

[IsraelTimes] Israel says individuals were gunmen, which it specifically targeted without harming others; Anera does not explain their presence but says it did not view them as ‘hostile threat’

A US-based aid group admitted Friday that a group of individuals — who the Israeli military says were armed — took control of an aid convoy in the southern Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. Strip the day before, without the organization having vetted them or coordinated the matter with the Israel Defense Forces.

The military said Thursday that it struck the button men, killing them while not harming aid workers.

According to the IDF, Hamas
..always the voice of sweet reason...
operatives frequently try to hijack aid deliveries.

The IDF had said on Thursday that a convoy of aid trucks from the American Near East Refugee Aid (Anera) organization entered the southern Rafah area with Israeli coordination. It said that during the drive, it identified a group of button men taking over a vehicle at the front of the convoy and beginning to lead it. The IDF described the act as a hijacking attempt.

Shortly afterward, the IDF said it was able to determine that it could strike just the car with the button men, without harming the rest of the convoy, and so it carried out a strike, killing at least four.

In a vaguely worded statement on Friday, Anera said that after the convoy departed the Kerem Shalom crossing, "four community members with experience in previous missions and engagement in community security" with their transport company, Move One, "stepped forward and took command of the leading vehicle, citing concern that the route was unsafe and at risk of being looted."

Anera did not explain who the four were, or why persons who had not been coordinated with the military were allowed to take control of the convoy. It acknowledged that "the four community members were neither vetted nor coordinated in advance."

Still, the organization said "the four individuals were not perceived by the convoy as a hostile threat" and that the Israeli strike "was carried out without any prior warning or communication."

No Anera employees were hurt in the incident, and the convoy arrived at its destination, both the IDF and the organization said. According to the Anera, only one employee was present in the convoy, and they were unharmed.

The IDF said Thursday that "the presence of gunnies in a humanitarian convoy without coordination is against the procedures, makes it difficult to secure the convoys and their workers and thus also harms the humanitarian effort in Gaza."

The military also said that representatives from the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) unit spoke with members of Anera, who "confirmed that all the members of the organization who were part of the convoy, along with the humanitarian aid, were safe and sound and reached their destination safely."

Britain 'deeply concerned' by Israel's operation in occupied West Bank
That’s nice. Feel better after your little eruption, Sir Keir? Tell you what: when Britain can afford to put actual sailors on actual, sea-going ships, then we’ll call you.
The British government said on Friday it was "deeply concerned" by Israel's ongoing operation in the occupied West Bank, warning that risk of instability was serious and that there was an urgent need for de-escalation.

"We continue to call on Israeli authorities to exercise restraint, adhere to international law, and clamp down on the actions of those who seek to inflame tensions," a spokesperson for Britain's Foreign Office said in a statement.

Fadlallah says Israel hasn''t shown any pic to prove Glilot not hit
[NAHARNET] Hezbollah politician Hassan Fadlallah on Friday said that Israel ''thought that it targeted key weapons with a harsh and painful strike before realizing that it bombed its shadow.''

Fadlallah was referring to Israel's claim that it waged a preemptive strike to foil Hezbollah's retaliation to Fouad Shukur's killing, an allegation that was dismissed by Hezbollah chief Sayyed

…the claimed number keeps getting bigger and bigger, oddly enough…
''The enemy's prime minister (Benjamin) Netanyahu retracted his remarks and said that they bombed short-range rockets, because they found out that they had fallen into a trap and deception practiced against them by the resistance,'' Fadlallah said.
Did he say that aloud, or just in His Eminence’s eminent head?
''They believed that they had information and the resistance, one way or another, carried out measures that foiled what they called a preemptive strike,'' the MP added.

''When the enemy wants to refute something, it brings journalists and publishes pictures, except for this strike (on the Glilot intelligence base near Tel Aviv), when it took measures and prevented any camera from entering a certain diameter. To date, it has not published any picture, even taken from afar, for the facilities to prove that they have not been targeted,'' Fadlallah went on to say.

He added: ''According to the resistance's verified information, a number of its drones accurately reached the selected targets — and the enemy kept that under wraps because it does not want to acknowledge the resistance's achievement and because it is incapable of targeting Leb

''It remained mum to suggest that nothing has happened and to avoid being asked for responses by its society,'' Fadlallah said.

Days later, monitors reported that several fires had broken out on the ship, apparently the result of Houthi bombs planted on it.

Iran’s UN mission said Wednesday that following the fire on the Sounion "and the subsequent environmental hazards," several countries it didn’t identify reached out to the Houthis "requesting a temporary truce for the entry of tugboats and rescue ships into the incident area."

IDF wraps up 3-week raid in south Gaza; 250 gunmen killed, 6 km of tunnels destroyed

Strip, during which the military said it demolished tunnels, killed over 250 button men and recovered the bodies of six hostages.

The raid, in Khan Younis and on the outskirts of Deir al-Balah, was launched by the 98th Division in early August. The division was withdrawn from Gaza early Friday as it prepared for future operations, the IDF said.

It was the third time that the IDF had reentered Khan Younis since its initial ground offensive there earlier this year. The latest operations have focused on recovering the bodies of hostages and demolishing Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
infrastructure with new intelligence.

According to the military, amid the operation this past month, combat engineers demolished six separate tunnels belonging to terror groups, totaling some six kilometers (3.7 miles) of underground passages.

Inside some of the tunnels, troops killed button men, located areas where terror operatives had resided and found weapons, the military said.

Hamas infrastructure above ground was also demolished amid the operation, the IDF said.

The military said troops also located weapons, rocket launchers and intelligence materials at a "central" Hamas outpost in the Deir al-Balah area.

In the Hamad Town residential complex of Khan Younis, the IDF recovered the bodies of six hostages from a Hamas tunnel last week. The hostages were Alex Dancyg, 75, Yagev Buchshtav, 35, Chaim Peri, 79, Yoram Metzger, 80, Nadav Popplewell, 51, and Avraham Munder, 78.

Following the operation, the IDF said Paleostinian civilians could return to areas in the al-Qarara suburb of Khan Younis. The area had been evacuated ahead of the operation in Khan Younis and was temporarily removed from the Israeli-designated "humanitarian zone."

Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language front man, said that the previously evacuated areas would now again be considered as part of the humanitarian zone. He published a map showing the changes to the zone.

Some 1.9 million Paleostinians of the 2.3 million Gazook population are residing in the humanitarian zone, according to IDF assessments in July.
Both numbers may be exaggerated by a factor of lots to even more, but communicate the point that it’s awfully crowded.
The zone is located in the al-Mawasi area on the southern Strip’s coast, western neighborhoods of Khan Younis and central Gaza’s Deir al-Balah.

The size of the zone has changed multiple times, amid evolving IDF operations against the Hamas terror group. As of Friday, the zone is just over 46 square kilometers (17.7 square miles), or nearly 13 percent of the total size of the Gaza Strip.

Also on Friday morning, the IDF said that more than 30 sites in the Gaza Strip were struck by the Israeli Air Force in the past day. The targets included rocket launchers, buildings used by terror groups, weapon depots and other infrastructure, according to the IDF.

The military also said that troops with the 162nd Division killed dozens of button men in southern Gaza’s Rafah in the previous 24 hours.

Military sources said Thursday that Hamas’s Rafah Brigade had "collapsed" as a result of the IDF’s ongoing offensive in the city in the southern Gaza Strip.

Israel launched its war against Hamas in Gaza following the terror group’s onslaught on southern Israel on October 7, during which it killed around 1,200 people and took 251 hostages, 103 of whom are believed to still be held in the Gaza Strip.

The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says more than 40,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the fighting so far. The toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel says it has killed some 17,000 combatants in battle and about 1,000 bandidos holy warriors inside Israel during the October 7 attack.

Stavropol prisoner convicted of involvement in terrorist organization
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] A military court in Rostov-on-Don has sentenced a resident of Stavropol to a long prison term, finding him a participant in the activities of a terrorist organization.

At the time of the crime charged to him, convicted citizen Bondarenko was serving a sentence in a penal colony.

According to the security forces, the man was in Penal Colony No. 11 in Stavropol Krai in November 2021 and "voluntarily joined the ranks" of a terrorist organization banned in Russia. He then planned to commit crimes on its behalf, Interfax-Yug quotes the regional FSB department as saying.

The case of Bondarenko, who was accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization (Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code provides for ten to twenty years of imprisonment), was heard by the Southern District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don.

A resident of Stavropol has been sentenced to 12 years in a special regime penal colony with the first two years to be served in prison. The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.

The "Caucasian Knot" does not yet have any comments from the convicted person or his lawyer regarding the version of the investigation and the court.

"Caucasian Knot" wrote that on August 23, in colony No. 19 in Surovikino, four prisoners, declaring themselves supporters of the "Islamic State", took 12 people hostage. Three employees of the colony were killed, another later died in the hospital. The hostage-taking in Surovikino was the second in the Southern Federal District in three months: it was preceded by a similar incident that occurred in mid-June in the Rostov pre-trial detention center, where the attackers declared themselves supporters of the "Islamic State".

Soro's backed Media Matters could now be forced to pay back all the ad revenue 𝕏 has lost as a result of their lies
[X]
The judge overseeing Elon Musk and 𝕏's defamation lawsuit against Soros-backed Media Matters just DENIED their motion to dismiss. Media Matters could now be forced to pay back all the ad revenue 𝕏 has lost as a result of their lies

Last year, they manipulated 𝕏 to coerce many advertisers to leave the platform. They made it look like 𝕏 was serving ads next to "hate speech," but in reality, they set the whole thing up to frame Elon and the platform

They tried to claim the federal just in Texas did NOT have jurisdiction to hear the case, but the judge wholeheartedly REJECTED their claim, "Because the Court has personal jurisdiction over Defendants, venue is proper, and Plaintiff has properly pled its claims, Defendants’ Motion to Dismiss is DENIED."
Hot Air adds:
Judge Reed O'Connor of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas denied Media Matters' request Thursday, just as he denied the leftist outfit's motion to prevent the lawsuit from moving to the discovery phase in April and rejected its desperate attempt to list Tesla as an interested party in the lawsuit.

Contrary to the suggestion by Media Matters, O'Connor indicated that X Corp. has indeed succeeded in stating a claim for the following three causes of action: tortious interference with existing contractual relations, business disparagement, and tortious interference with prospective economic advantage.

The case will now go to trial on April 7.

Islamic Movement In Nigeria Protests Alleged Parade Of Female Members By Police Without Hijab
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN)
...declared by the Nigerian government a terror group in 2019. Their big turban is Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, previously the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Nigeria before he converted to Shi'ism after a visit to Iran, becoming a fiery Iranian sock puppet. Their anti-corruption theme is attractive to Nigeria’s educated Moslem class, which of course permeates the government, while like the Muslim Brotherhood IMN supports schools, hospitals, and women’s education...
has accused the Nigerian police of allegedly removing Hijabs from Moslem women in detention, describing it a "grave religious abuse."

The sect was reacting to an alleged video taken within the premises of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, Abuja.

The video was said to have been shared in a WhatsApp group of the police community in the FCT which later went viral on social media showing how the police forcefully removed the Hijab of Moslem sisters, while in police detention.

The police had arrested some members of the group during the 2024 Abuja Arba’een Symbolic Trek.

IMN in another round of protest urged the police authorities to respect people’s religion and culture.

"Such an act is termed as a disregard for Islamic Values and an attack on Islam itself," a member of IMN told SaharaReporters.

"This action could be attributed to the fact that the majority of Policemen in Nigeria are not Moslems, Coupled with hate of Islam, the police forcefully removed the Hijab of many Moslems in public and subjected them to molestation.

"This act can never be tolerated in any way. Remember that on Sunday the 25th of August 2024, Policemen in Abuja opened fire on a peaceful Ashura protest. Many were arrested."

Earlier, the group in a statement by its media team said the alleged action by the police has deeply offended the Moslem community, describing the abuse of the hijab as "more painful than the shelling of live ammunition."

The statement read, "Our attention has been drawn to a one-minute, twenty-one-second video taken by a police officer within the premises of the FCT Police Command and shared it in a WhatsApp group of the police community in the FCT Abuja, and later the video went viral on social media showing how the police forcefully removed the hijab of our Moslem sisters, while in police detention. The Moslem Sisters were arrested during the 2024 Abuja Arba’een Symbolic Trek.

"Our attention has also been drawn to pictures of people arrested during the 2024 Abuja Abra’een Symbolic Trek paraded by the police on 28 August 2024 to newsmen at SARS Abbatoir. The pictures taken by the newsmen also showed our Moslem sisters without Hijab.

"Hijab is a commandment of Allah, the creator of earth and heaven. Allah (T) says in the Qur’an, "O Prophet! Say to your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers that they should let down upon themselves their jalabib." (Qur’an: Surah al-Ahzab, verse 59).

"Hijab is our religion, culture, and right, and the abuse of Hijab is more painful to us than the shelling of live ammunition on us. We will not take this abuse lightly. Certainly, an abuse to Hijab is not just an abuse to the people arrested but to the Moslems and the religion of Islam."

Israel air strike kills three Palestinians on third day of West Bank raid
[GEO.TV] Israel said it killed three Hamas fighters in an air strike in the occupied West Bank on Friday, taking the death toll from a large-scale military operation now in its third day to at least 19.

A top UN aid official meanwhile questioned "what has become of our basic humanity", as the war raged on in Gaza and humanitarian operations struggle to respond.

Israeli forces claim they kill local Hamas commander in West Bank
[GEO.TV] Israeli forces killed a local commander of Hamas in the flashpoint city of Jenin on Friday as they pressed a major operation in the occupied West Bank for a third day, the Israeli military said.

The military said Border Police forces had killed Wassem Hazem, who it said was the head of Hamas in Jenin and was involved in shooting and bombing attacks in the Palestinian territory. Wissam Ayman Hazem was killed in an aerial bombing after clashing with the Israeli forces in Jenin in the occupied West Bank, al-Qassam brigades, the armed wing of Hamas

The death of two other members, Maisarah Masharqa and Arafat Amer, in the attack was also confirmed through a statement on Telegram.

The commander of Hamas

’s military wing in the West Bank city of Jenin was killed along with two other operatives in festivities and dronezaps on Friday morning, the Israel Defense Forces, Shin Bet security agency, and police said.

According to the military, amid an ongoing operation in the northern West Bank, troops spotted a cell of button men in a car in the Jenin area town of Zababdeh.

Inside the car was Wissam Hazem, the head of Hamas’s terror network in Jenin.

Undercover Border Police officers shot up the car, killing Hazem, while the other two button men fled, the joint statement said. A short while later, a drone struck and killed the pair.

The military released drone footage showing the moment the Border Police officers ambushed Hazem and the dronezaps carried out a short while later. Police released a separate clip from body cameras on the officers, showing them blocking the car that Hazem was in and exchanging fire with him.

According to Israel, Hazem was involved in numerous shooting and bombing attacks and was advancing additional attacks.

The other two button men, killed by the drone, were named by the IDF as Maysara Masharqa and Arafat Amer.

The military said they were Hamas members working under Hazem and were also involved in shooting attacks, including against Israeli communities near the West Bank security barrier.

Inside the car and on the bodies of the terror operatives, the IDF says it recovered assault rifles, handguns and other equipment.

No troops were hurt in the incident.

The dronezaps came amid an ongoing large-scale operation in the northern West Bank launched early Wednesday. The military has been operating mostly in the West Bank city of Tulkarem, but also in Jenin and the Far’a camp near Tubas.

The IDF said on Friday afternoon that it had killed 20 button men and detained another 17 since the start of the operation. Paleostinian media also reported that 20 had been killed.

Early Thursday, Israeli forces killed five Paleostinian button men who were hiding in a mosque in the West Bank city of Tulkarem, including the commander of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad

Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. ’s local wing in the Nur Shams camp, the military said.

Another founding member of Islamic Jihad’s local wing in Tulkarem was detained.

The large operation, involving the Kfir Brigade, the Duvdevan Commando Unit, combat engineers and Border Police, was expected to last at least several days, military sources said Wednesday.

The ongoing operation was focused on dismantling a Hamas and Paleostinian Islamic Jihad terror network in the Tulkarem area, as well as in Jenin and the Far’a camp near Tubas.

While the army has said it has seen a relative decline in terror coming from the northern West Bank in recent months, it has also seen continued attempts by terror operatives to launch attacks.

After a series of smaller operations in the northern West Bank, the IDF decided to launch a more extensive operation, targeting three areas at once — Jenin, Tulkarem and Far’a — where terror operatives were seen as operating together, military sources said.

The large-scale operation was also launched in part following an intended suicide kaboom in Tel Aviv earlier this month.

The IDF has carried out several dronezaps amid the operation. In the past 10 months, the IDF has carried out more than 60 Arclight airstrike

s in the West Bank, using drones, attack helicopters and fighter jets.

A Border Police officer was lightly hurt and an IDF soldier was moderately maimed amid the operations on Wednesday and Thursday.

Since October 7, troops have arrested some 4,850 wanted Paleostinians across the West Bank, including more than 1,960 affiliated with Hamas.

According to the Paleostinian Authority’s health ministry, more than 670 West Bank Paleostinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were button men killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops or gunnies carrying out attacks.

Libyan CBL Governor Leaves Libya Over Security Threats
[X]

The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, al-Siddiq al-Kabir, has reportedly left the country along with other senior bank officials to protect their lives from potential attacks by armed factions, according to the Financial Times. In a phone interview with the newspaper, al-Kabir disclosed that Death Eaters have been threatening and intimidating bank staff, occasionally even kidnapping their children and relatives to coerce them into continuing work.

Al-Kabir also stated that the attempts by interim Prime Minister Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba to replace him are illegal and conflict with agreements brokered by the United Nations

and Russia respectively.

Earlier in the week, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya called for a suspension of unilateral decisions, the lifting of force majeure at oil fields, a cessation of escalation, and the use of force, as well as for the protection of central bank staff.

Libya’s economy, heavily reliant on oil, has suffered due to the ongoing conflict. The instability has led to fluctuations in oil production and prices, impacting the global oil market and Libya’s economy.

The conflict has led to a significant humanitarian crisis in Libya, with thousands of people killed, and many more displaced. Migrants and refugees using Libya as a transit point to Europa

have also faced dire conditions.

The planned elections for December 2021 were delayed due to disagreements over election laws and the eligibility of certain candidates. This delay has raised concerns about the feasibility of a peaceful political transition.

Despite the ceasefire, security remains a significant concern with sporadic fighting and the presence of mercenaries and imported muscle. The unification of the military and the removal of foreign forces are crucial challenges.

One killed in suspected Turkish attack on Rojava
[RUDAW] One civilian was killed and two others were maimed in the city of Amuda in northeast Syria (Rojava) when a suspected Ottoman Turkish drone struck a neighborhood, according to local reports.

Hani Khalaf, 35, was killed in the Mesakin neighborhood of Amuda near the Ottoman Turkish border. Two other people were also injured, reported Hawar News Agency (ANHA), a media outlet affiliated with the Kurdish authorities.

Power lines and local businesses were also damaged by the strike, according to ANHA.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a UK-based war monitor that relies on a network of sources within Syria, said the attack was carried out by a ''Ottoman Turkish drone'' and one person was injured.

Nigeria's Secret Police DSS Secures Fresh Order To Freeze 13 Bank Accounts Over Alleged Terrorism
[SAHARAREPORTERS] The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the freezing of 13 different bank accounts reportedly linked to one Henry Okocha, suspected to be a terrorist.
Oh? Which particular flavour of terrorist might he be? There are so many in Nigeria, only some of which are local branches of transnational Sunni jihadi groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS.
The order followed an ex-parte application made by the Department of the State Services (DSS), through its counsel Yunus Umar.

The accounts are domiciled in seven different banks and are to remain frozen for 60 days, to enable the agency conduct forensic investigations into the alleged acts of terrorism by the suspect.

SaharaReporters reported on Sunday that a Federal High Court in Abuja had issued an order freezing the bank accounts of 32 individuals and companies allegedly linked to the #EndBadGovernance protests that took place across Nigeria between August 1 and August 10.

Justice Emeka Nwite who issued an ex-parte order freezing those accounts including cooperative society accounts, through a motion ex-parte filed by the Inspector-General of Police's counsel, Ibrahim Mohammed, also directed banks to detain account holders or anyone found transacting business on the affected accounts, pending investigation and prosecution.

In a recent ex-parte order issued by Justice Peter Lifu, the court permitted the DSS to place an embargo on the bank accounts for 60 days for investigation.

In an 8-paragraph affidavit in support of the ex-parte motion, according to Daily Post, Okocha was accused by the DSS of receiving millions of naira into the accounts and was strongly suspected of being proceeds of terrorism.

He was confirmed to have been taken into the custody of the security agency following his arrest for an investigation.

Arguing the application, DSS counsel, Mr Umar, informed Justice Lifu that the DSS needed the freezing order to prevent the suspect from using the fund for illicit activities against innocent Nigerians.

The lawyer also told the judge that the embargo on the accounts would enable the DSS to unravel the perpetrators and bring them before the court for prosecution.

The ex-parte application marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1036/2024 was brought under sections 5 and 81 of the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act 2022.

The banks where the accounts are domiciled are United Bank for Africa, Guaranty Trust Bank, Union Bank of Nigeria, First Bank of Nigeria, Providus Bank, Palmpay Limited and Resolut Limited.

Justice Lifu turned down the request to put an embargo on the accounts for 90 days but permission for 60 days.

The DSS had days ago sought and obtained an ex-parte order freezing 20 bank accounts belonging to one Aisha Abdulkarim, a woman accused of being a terrorist.

Boko Haram Terrorists Storm Yobe School, Bring Out Students And Shoot Them Dead
[SAHARAREPORTERS] In an act of terrorism, suspected Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
holy warriors launched an attack on Faudiya School, situated in the Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State.

This educational institution, affiliated with the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN),
...declared by the Nigerian government a terror group in 2019. Their big turban is Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, previously the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Nigeria before he converted to Shi'ism after a visit to Iran, becoming a fiery Iranian sock puppet. Their anti-corruption theme is attractive to Nigeria’s educated Moslem class, which of course permeates the government, while like the Muslim Brotherhood IMN supports schools, hospitals, and women’s education...
a prominent Shia sect in the country,
…so it’s no wonder the local branch of ISIS went after them. ISIS purely hates members of the first splitters from the MATER religion…
was tragically transformed into a scene of unspeakable carnage.

According to credible sources who spoke to Daily Trust, the assailants descended upon the Hausari quarters in Geidam LGA at the unholy hour of 3:44 am on Friday.

Under the cover of darkness, the bully boyz exploited the vulnerability of their victims, who were sleeping.

As reported by Daily Trust, sources revealed that the button men struck while the students were deep in sleep, rendering them defenceless against the sudden and deadly onslaught.

This callous and calculated attack has left an indelible scar on the community, claiming the precious lives of the students.

''The incident occurred at around 3:44 am when the button men invaded Faudiya School a well-known Shiite school in Geidam,'' a source said.

''They (button men) attacked the school when these youths were asleep and brought them outside and shot them dead.

''There is tension and concern in the town after this incident. People are terrified over this unfortunate incident,'' he said.

Also, a vigilante told the newspaper that three members of Shia sect were killed while one sustained injury.

''We don't know who they (button men) are but all we know is that they killed three students in the school. One person who tried to escape during the incident was injured and he has been hospitalised,'' he said.

The spokesperson for Yobe State Police Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the incident but did not give details.

-Great Cultural Revolution
Feds Ban Drilling and Mining on 28 Million Acres in Alaska
[Epoch Times] The Department of the Interior (DOI) has reinstated protections against oil and gas development and mining on more than 28 million acres of public lands across Alaska. The protections, which were established in 1971, were removed in January 2021 under the Trump administration.

In an Aug. 27 statement, Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland said the department finalized the decision after an "extensive public process" in which it sought input from Alaska native tribes and native corporations, rural and urban communities, and the general public. Many Alaska native tribes, native corporations, and tribal entities have said the lands are "vital to protecting important natural, cultural, and subsistence resources," Haaland said.

Meanwhile, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) heard "overwhelming support" from the public about retaining protections across the land, she said.
But not from the Governor.
The DOI’s decision was criticized by Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy. In a post on social media platform X, Dunleavy accused the DOI of "locking up another 28 million acres of land" and described the decision as a "sanction against Alaska."

Previously, the Biden administration has taken steps to bolster other protections against development in Alaska, including restricting oil and gas extraction on 13 million acres in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska and rejecting the proposed construction of a 211-mile industrial access road meant to connect the Dalton Highway to the Ambler Mining District in north-central Alaska.

"They are attempting to turn Alaska into one big national park," the governor said. "Alaska is still owed 5 million acres of land under the Statehood Act. Every one of these sanctions harms Alaska’s ability to prosper."

Elsewhere, Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) called the DOI’s decision a "complete betrayal of Alaska native Vietnam-era veterans," and "of the promises that Alaska received when it became a state in 1959. With this record of decision, the Biden-Harris administration has indefinitely restricted from selection more than 98 percent of the lands that Alaskans have been promised they would receive for decades—locking up more than 28 million acres," Sullivan wrote on X.

Chicago Democrat mayor admits city faces $1 BILLION deficit in 2025 budget
[POSTMILLENNIAL] reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
Mayor Brandon Johnson
...Hizzonner da Mare of Chicago. He was elected in April 2023 to replace the disastrous Lori Lightfoot and immediately set about out-Richtering her. A member of the Democratic Party (naturally), Johnson previously worked as a social studies teacher in the city's stellar public schools system. He helped organize the 2012 teachers strike. Prior to becoming Da Mare, he served on the Cook County Board of Boodlng Commissioners from 2018 to 2023...
says the city can expect a $982 million deficit for its 2025 budget, almost double what it was for his first year in office. Johnson blamed the shortfall on higher spending on city workers and lower revenues from city taxes, CBS News reports.

"The size of the budget gap is significant. It's going to require decisions that will speak to our overall collective desire to build an economy that works for working people. There will be sacrifices that will be made," Johnson told news hounds Wednesday afternoon.

While facing an almost $1 billion budget would seem historic, it doesn't equal the $1.2 billion dollar shortfall that former Mayor Lori Lightfoot
..the diminutive and vacuous former Heronner da Mare of Chicago. When the corpse count rises she blames the guns, which are banned anyway...
presided over in 2021 after Covid pandemic costs drove up the city's expenses. Lightfoot weathered the storm with cash infusions from the Biden-Harris administration in its Covid relief spending package.

Last year, Johnson dealt with a $538 million budget deficit for 2024 and didn't lay off city personnel or raise taxes. The mayor declined to say if he would reach for either of those options in the current financial crisis, nor did he comment on the possibility of legalizing video gambling in the city and slot machines at the airport to raise more money. He did not deny that layoffs or at least a hiring freeze at the city is a possibility, according to CBS.

"There are a number of options that we'll explore. What we're working to safeguard against is harm to constituents, to everyday people," he said. "We're working to provide as soft of a landing as possible."

When asked if the deficit had anything to do with city spending on illegal immigrants colonists, budget director Annette Guzman said it did not and claimed that a phenomenon called "underperforming revenue" was to blame, Axios noted.

Ald. Jason Ervin (28th), chairman of the City Council Budget Committee, downplayed the deficit, saying it is not as bad as he anticipated. But he said there will be some hard decisions to be made by the mayor.

"I think we have to look at everything, but at the same time we have to be reasonable so that we're not impacting those that have generally been most harmed by taxes and fees throughout the history of our city. But, again, I think we start on the expense side of paring that down before looking at revenue," Ervin told news hounds.

Programs! Getcher programs! Can't tell the clowns without a program.

Looking at this in practical terms, Chicago has a population of ~ 2.6 million. Let's say 1/4 are adults. With a deficit of $982 million, we get deficit / adults = $1510 per potential voter

So, for one and a half large each, the mayor and his cronies can buy enough votes to stay in office. Not a bad deal considering that they are spending someone else's money. Besides, we gotta keep the unions happy, right?

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
China & Russia & Iran, oh my! Weighing the threat with David Goldman
[Asia Times] A long, rambling YouTube video of a conversation between Israeli journalist Carolyn Glick and David Goldman of The Asia Times. The transcript is featured in today's Asia Times as Israel is not an outpost of the West.

A brief excerpt from the transcript:
Goldman: Carolyn, I’m worried, but I’m not alarmed for a number of reasons. As Robert F Kennedy Jr put it so eloquently in his press conference last week announcing his support for the candidacy of Donald Trump, we pushed Russia into an alliance with Iran and China.

It was not necessary. It could have gone otherwise. In 2008, when the Ukraine crisis was first brewing, I published an analysis saying that we had a choice with Russia. If we push them to the wall over Ukraine, their obvious move would be to ally with our enemies, starting with Iran.

If, on the other hand, we found some kind of deal with Russia over Ukraine, which would have meant Ukrainian neutrality and protection for the Russian minority in Ukraine, we could have extracted from Russia a concession to help us with Iran, which is a prospective nuclear terrorist state. And the question I asked is, which is more important for American interests? Regime change in Ukraine, regime change in Russia, or the possibility of nuclear terrorism in the Middle East?

My strong view was that we should have found a way to deal with Russia over Ukraine and gotten their cooperation over Iran. That was on the table. It no longer is. So there is a three-way alliance, but there are strong limits to it because everyone has intersecting and divergent interests.

A Chinese commentary a couple of weeks ago on a website called Observer, which frequently represents State Council views, said Iran should not try to fight Israel. It can’t fight Israel. The air defense it has is primitive. They’re old Russian S-300s, and the Russians are not going to give them the kind of air defense that might be able to deal with the countermeasures carried by an Israeli F-15, let alone a stealth aircraft like F-35.

Iran has no land army to speak of, and certainly no tanks. Their aircraft are 50 years old and barely functional. So Iran is in no position to fight a war with Israel. Iran would lose. The Chinese are adamant in their discussion of this publicly and privately that they don’t want a war between Iran and Israel. And there’s an extremely simple reason for this.

A couple of Israeli rockets hitting the two big Iranian terminals on Karg Island would shut down all of Iran’s oil exports. The price of oil would go to US$150 or $200 a barrel. Who is the largest importer of oil from the Persian Gulf? Of course, it’s China. That would be a devastating blow to the Chinese economy. So if it came to a shooting war between Iran and Israel, China would be a major loser. Russia is certainly working with Iran to produce drones.

The Shaheed drones that it uses to reasonably good effect in Ukraine probably cost about $10,000 to produce, they might be even cheaper. They’re essentially a plywood frame with a moped motor and about $100 worth of electronics. They’re very cheap to make. And the Russians use them, of course, very effectively, not because they’re hard to shoot down.

They’re very easy to shoot down, but you could send 100 of them out at a time, swamp Ukrainian air defenses, and open the way for your more powerful ordnance, your ballistic missiles to get through, which is of course what they did this week in two waves of strikes against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. But the Russians have been extremely cautious about giving Iran any of their better ordinance, the kind that might make a difference.

Iran wants the S-400 system, which can track aircraft much more effectively and in larger numbers and at greater distances than the S-300. We don’t know exactly how good the stuff is that Iran has because these Russians have domestic versions and export versions, which are far less effective. Iran has asked for these things, but Russia has not given them.

One simple reason is that Russia has an urgent need for all of its best air defense systems to fight the Ukraine war. It doesn’t have a great deal to spare, but it’s shown a great deal of willingness, as you know, to cooperate with the Israeli Air Force in Syria. Russia does not want to tangle with Israel.

12 more terrorists killed in Tirah Valley IBOs: ISPR
[GEOTV] Security forces have neutralised at least 12 hard boyz during the intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Tirah Valley, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

"Since 20 August 2024, security forces are conducting extensive intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Tirah Valley, Khyber District, on the reported presence of Khwarij," said the military's media affairs wing in a statement.

On August 28 and 29, troops effectively engaged the terrorists' locations where after intense fire exchange, 12 bandidos holy warriors of "Fitna-Al-Khwarij were sent to hell," the military's media wing said while referring to the Tehrik-e-Taliban
...the once and current oppressors of Afghanistan...
Pakistain (TTP) bully boys.

The statement further said that these operations have resulted in a major setback to the TTP and its affiliates, adding that so far, 37 hard boyz have been "sent to hell", while 14 others have suffered serious injuries.

The military reaffirmed its commitment to restoring peace, saying that the IBOs will continue till peace is restored in the area and hard boyz are eliminated, as the security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

IBOs

Earlier today, at least five bad boyz were potted and three others injured during separate IBOs in Balochistan's Kech, Panjgur and Zhob districts.

A statement issued by the ISPR said the security forces are conducting extensive IBOs to hunt down the perpetrators of the Balochistan incident.

According to the military's media wing, the operations are being conducted in the backdrop of cowardly terrorist activities that targeted innocent civilians across Balochistan on August 26.

"On night August 29-30, in three separate IBOs in District Kech, Panjgur and Zhob, five hard boyz were sent to hell by the security forces, while three hard boyz got injured during the intense fire exchange," said the statement.

Moreover, sanitisation operations will continue until all perpetrators, controllers and abetters of these atrocious acts are brought to justice, it added.

The IBOs were launched after at least 23 passengers on Monday were killed after being offloaded from passenger buses and trucks in the Rarasham area of Balochistan's Musakhel.

Separately, at least 10 people, including police and Balochistan Levies personnel, were martyred in a gun attack in Kalat.

Furthermore, at least 14 brave sons of soil, including 10 security forces soldiers and four personnel of law enforcement agencies (LEAs), were martyred in clearance operations, wherein at least 21 bandidos holy warriors were neutralised.

How the Job Market Is Faring as Fed Shifts Focus to Employment
[Epoch Times] The number of job openings has declined by about 1.1 million since September 2023, with vacancies totaling a little more than 8 million, according to the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Research has highlighted that employers are putting their staffing plans on ice. RedBalloon’s recent Freedom Economy Index, for example, found that more than two-thirds (70 percent) of small businesses are neither hiring nor reducing staff. Hiring is now at its lowest year-to-date level since 2012, according to the latest data from Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc., which researches and analyzes job market trends.

Since January 2021, the CPI has rocketed by more than 20 percent. By comparison, real (inflation-adjusted) hourly compensation has tumbled by more than 4 percent in the same span.

Price pressures have leveled off since September 2023. However, there is still a divergence between what workers earn and the cost of living. Real hourly compensation is still down by 0.3 percent, while the CPI has risen by 2 percent.

The Federal Reserve maintains a dual mandate of price stability and maximum employment. After the hope that inflation would be transitory was unexpectedly unrealized, the Fed focused on restoring price stability and lowering inflation to its 2 percent target.

Powell said in his speech that now that "inflation has declined significantly" and "the labor market is no longer overheated," the central bank will shift its attention to the other part of its two-sided mandate: maximum employment.

Despite raising interest rates to their highest levels in 23 years, the institution did not collapse the labor market. After two-plus years of a restrictive policy stance, monetary policymakers are gearing up for rate cuts as unemployment has reached its highest level since October 2021.

Will the Fed’s rate cuts be enough to prevent further joblessness? For Powell and his colleagues on the Federal Open Market Committee, the labor market has cooled enough.

Germany Vows ''Knife Control'' After ISIS Refugee Slashes Throats at Diversity Festival
That’ll fix the problem, fer shure. Who’s up for Kaffee und Kuchen?”
[GATESTONEINSTITUTE] After laying a white rose at the site of the Diversity Festival slashing that left three dead and eight maimed, Chancellor Olaf Scholz promised rapid action would be taken against knives.

Right now, people in Germany can carry knives up to 4.7 inches long. The law will be modified so that they can only carry knives up to 2.4 inches long. No one appears to have considered the possibility that Moslem hard boyz on the way to killing as many infidels as possible might violate the law and carry a concealed knife of 4 inches or longer. Such thoughts are unthinkable.

There were 13,844 "knife crime" incidents in Germany in 2023, which the authorities are blaming on the existence of knives and not the perpetrators, who are reportedly mostly young Moslem men.

But locating the source of the problem is probably "not a very helpful insight," In the UK, people sharing such insights are being locked up even as Islamic hard boyz are being freed.

Zelensky fires Ukrainian Air Force commander after F-16 crash
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, fired the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Nikolai Oleshchuk.

Zelensky's corresponding decree was published on August 30.

“Dismiss Nikolai Nikolaevich Oleshchuk from the post of commander of the air forces of the armed forces of Ukraine,” the text of the decree says.

In his Telegram channel, Zelensky explained Oleshchuk's dismissal by saying that it was "time to draw conclusions." The head of the Kyiv regime also thanked the pilots and representatives of some other military specialties, including "air defense crews."

As reported by the Regnum news agency, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on August 29 that during the military operations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost their first F-16 fighter. According to the agency's representatives, the aircraft were used to repel a missile attack by Russian servicemen. During the operation, contact with one of the pilots was lost, and it was later discovered that the fighter had crashed, the report noted.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Maryana Bezuglaya, in turn, stated that the F-16 was shot down by a Ukrainian Patriot missile. According to her, the fighter jet piloted by Oleksiy Mes was shot down by a Patriot anti-aircraft missile system due to "discoordination" between the Ukrainian Armed Forces units. According to Bezuglaya, air defense systems hit the fighter jet on August 26 during a massive strike by the Russian Armed Forces. She added that this is at least the third time that Ukrainian air defense systems have shot down their own aircraft by mistake.

Oleshchuk earlier on August 30 accused Bezuglya of lying and “discrediting the United States,” whose fighter jets were supplied to Ukraine, and threatened her with legal action.

Associate Professor of the Department of Political Analysis and Socio-Psychological Processes at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Oleg Glazunov told the Regnum news agency that the loss of the F-16 fighter by Ukraine was another failure for the United States. The expert recalled that the American aircraft have not yet begun to carry out combat missions, but are already suffering losses.

Germany Again Deporting Afghan Criminals
[Epoch Times] Germany resumed flying convicted Afghan criminals to their home country on Friday, as Berlin reversed its policy on deportations to the Taliban-run nation. Der Spiegel reported that a flight from Leipzig to Kabul took off on Friday morning with 28 convicted criminals aboard after months of secret negotiations mediated by Qatar.

Government spokesperson Steffen Hebestreit described the deportees as convicted criminals, but as yet hasn’t clarified their offenses.

Olaf Scholz’s coalition government came under pressure to take a tougher stance on migration following an ISIS-linked mass stabbing at a "Festival of Diversity" in Solingen a week ago, which left three people dead and eight others wounded, and an Afghan man knifing a German policeman to death in Mannheim in June.

There has also been debate over immigration ahead of regional elections taking place on Sunday in Saxony and Thuringia.

The anti-immigration Alternative fur Deutschland (AfD) party is expected to do well in those eastern regions, with Scholz’s coalition government braced for substantial losses.

A strong showing for AfD would give the right-wing party a huge boost a year before the next national election.

In a bid to curb losses at those elections, Scholz’s government has announced tighter asylum and residency laws and procedures, including lowering the threshold for "severe deportation," when the deportee has committed a crime involving a weapon or dangerous tool.
Geo TV adds:
"These were Afghan nationals, all of whom were convicted offenders who had no right to stay in Germany and against whom deportation orders had been issued," government front man Steffen Hebestreit said in a statement.

Airways flight bound for Kabul took off from Leipzig airport just before 0500 GMT with 28 Afghans on board, Der Spiegel magazine said, citing security sources.

The operation was the result of two months of "secret negotiations" in which Qatar acted as the go-between between Berlin and the Taliban authorities, Spiegel reported.

Hebestreit said Germany had "asked key regional partners for support in order to facilitate the deportations", without giving more details.

Germany completely stopped deportations to Afghanistan and closed its embassy in Kabul following the Taliban administration taking power in 2021.

Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said Thursday that Germany would resume expulsions to Syria and Afghanistan "very soon", as part of a package of measures to tighten security and asylum policies.

Hezbollah retaliates to Bekaa and Masnaa strikes, Israel strikes Rihan
[NAHARNET] Hezbollah attacked Thursday a base in the occupied Golan Heights with an array of suicide drones in response to Wednesday's strikes on the Bekaa and al-Masnaa.

The Israeli army said that several drones have went kaboom! in northern Golan, causing no casualties.

The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? Nigerian National Arrested At Pakistan Airport With Cocaine Capsules In Stomach | Sahara Reporters
A Nigerian national faces drug smuggling charges after Anti-Narcotics Force's (ANF) Lahore International Airport operation uncovered concealed cocaine capsules.

The suspect, who had flown into Pakistain from Nigeria via Dubai, was found with 38 cocaine-filled capsules hidden in his stomach, The Express Tribune reports.

According to ANF spokesperson, a total of 608 grams of cocaine was recovered from the capsules.

This arrest underscores a worrisome and accelerating trend in transnational drug smuggling, with foreign nationals playing a significant role.

Notably, Nigerian nationals have been disproportionately represented in these cases, with 10 individuals apprehended in 2023, and a remarkable 4.811 kilograms of contraband seized, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced international cooperation.

Thus far in the current year, law enforcement agencies have undertaken a series of rigorous operations, totaling seven, which have yielded significant results in the fight against narcotics trafficking.

Specifically, these efforts have led to the successful apprehension of eight Nigerian individuals, accompanied by the substantial seizure of 11.420 kilograms of illicit substances.

Tim Walz Signed A Law Creating 'Ethnic Studies' Requirements Extending To Elementary School Students
[DAILYCALLER] Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz
...Kamala's smarmy-looking running mate, governor of Minnesota, who decided to retire rather than to deploy with his National Guard unit, then claimed to have been in Iraq and Afghanistan. One man's socialism is another man's neighborliness....
signed a law in May 2023 as Minnesota governor that will require schools to offer ''ethnic studies'' courses that may include lessons on ''resistance'' and discussions on ''social identities.''

The law requires elementary and middle schools to teach ethnic studies classes by the 2027 to 2028 school year, while high schools must offer a course on the topic starting in the 2026 to 2027 school year, though some districts have already begun implementing ethnic studies programs. The program is described as an ''interdisciplinary study of race, ethnicity, and indigeneity'' and says it will emphasize ''perspectives of people of color'' and analyze ''the ways in which race and racism have been and continue to be social, cultural, and political forces.''

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Rojava security forces thwart attack on international coalition bases
[RUDAW] Kurdish security forces (Asayish) in northeast Syria (Rojava) on Thursday said that they captured ''dangerous terrorist elements'' planning to target the international coalition bases in the region.

''Our General Security Forces and Special Forces (HAT) conducted two precise security operations in the rural areas of Hasaka and Jal Agha, targeting dangerous terrorist elements who were planning to carry out attacks on international coalition bases in the region,'' read a statement from Rojava Asayish.

The operation was conducted after midnight on Tuesday, according to the statement, during which the group's leader was identified in the village of al-Mizar in the countryside of Hasaka.

The security forces also reported seizing weapons in the operation, including several rockets.

The statement did not clarify whether the apprehended individuals were members of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) or other groups in the region.

The operation comes as the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which controls Rojava, ramped up its joint anti-ISIS operations with the global coalition.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a UK-based conflict monitor, reported on Monday that since the start of August, the SDF and coalition have conducted six ''intensive security operations'' resulting in the arrests of eight members of ISIS cells and the killing of three others in the provinces of Hasaka, Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor.

AfD set to be 1st far-right party since WWII to win majority in German state parliament

#1  Polls see the AfD at 30%+, possibly a plurality but far from a majority in a proportional representation system.

In Thuringia Scholz' party and the Greens are allies of the anti-Ukraine and pro-Russian Communist Party of East Germany.

In Saxonia they are the allies of the ant-Ukraine and
pro-Russian Christian Democrat state premier Kretschmer.

Since the Corbynization of the AfD the only substantial policy dispute is Green climate grift, which the AfD still opposes.

Iraq
Iraqi airstrikes kill 14 suspected ISIS fighters in Anbar UPDATE: US troops involved, 7 maimed
[RUDAW] Iraq's Joint Operations Command (JOC) announced on Friday that it has killed 14 suspected Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) fighters, including key leaders, following Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on the group's hideout in the western Anbar province.

''At 4:00 am on Thursday, August 29, 2024 — successive and surprising airstrikes were carried out on all the hideouts,'' read a statement from the Joint Operations Command.

''After festivities with those fleeing the airstrikes at several hideouts, the number of dead ISIS elements defeated in the deserts and caves reached 14 terrorists, some of whom were wearing boom belts and carrying hand grenades,'' it added.

The operation was carried out in cooperation and technical coordination with the International Coalition, according to the statement.

The JOC also noted that among the dead were ''key leaders from the top ranks'' of ISIS, adding that all the hideouts of the group along with their weapons and logistics support were destroyed.

ISIS rose to power and seized control of large swathes of Iraqi territory during a brazen offensive in 2014. It was declared territorially defeated in 2017, when its so-called caliphate in the country fell to Iraqi and Kurdish fighters, supported by the US-led international coalition.

Despite its territorial defeat, the group continues to carry out hit-and-run attacks, bombings, and abductions in several provinces, particularly in areas disputed between Erbil and Baghdad, which stretch across the provinces of Salahaddin, Diyala, Kirkuk,
... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time...
and Nineveh.
Update from the Times of Israel at 8:00 a.m. ET:
7 US troops hurt during raid with Iraqi forces in which 15 ISIS operatives were killed

CENTCOM says it faced ISIS militants armed with ‘numerous weapons, grenades, and explosive ‘suicide’ belts’ during Thursday op in Anbar Desert; Iraq says key ISIS leaders killed

The United States military and Iraq launched a joint raid targeting suspected Islamic State group gunnies in the country’s western desert that killed at least 15 people and saw seven American troops hurt in the operation, officials said Saturday.

For years after dislodging the gunnies from their self-declared caliphate across Iraq and Syria, US forces have fought the Islamic State group, though the casualties from the raid were higher than others in the time since.

The US military’s Central Command alleged the gunnies were armed with "numerous weapons, grenades, and explosive ’suicide’ belts" during the attack Thursday, which Iraqi forces said happened in the country’s Anbar Desert.

"This operation targeted ISIS leaders to disrupt and degrade ISIS’ ability to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against Iraqi civilians, as well as US citizens, allies, and partners throughout the region and beyond," Central Command said, using an acronym for the bully boy group. "Iraqi Security Forces continue to further exploit the locations raided."

It added: "There is no indication of civilian casualties."

An Iraqi military statement said "Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s targeted the hideouts, followed by an airborne operation."

"Among the dead were key ISIS leaders," Iraq’s military said, without identifying them. "All hideouts, weapons, and logistical support were destroyed, boom belts were safely detonated and important documents, identification papers and communication devices were seized."

A US defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
to discuss details of the operation yet to be made public, told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that five American troops were maimed in the raid, while two others suffered injuries from falls in the operation. One who suffered a fall was transported out of the Mideast, while one of the maimed was evacuated for further treatment, the official said.

"All personnel are in stable, pH balanced condition," the official said.

It wasn’t immediately clear why it took two days for the US to acknowledge it took part in the raid. Iraq did not say the US took part in the operation when initially announcing it, as politicians debate the future of having American troops in the country. There are approximately 2,500 US troops in the country.

#2  OK Grom, if we're going to be accurate, it was founded as located on both banks of the Jordan River, and as such was originally named Transjordan.

#4  #2 It's called transJordania because it was supposed (according to League of Nation) to be on the other side of Jordan. The west bank, according to the partition approved by United Nation, was supposed to go to "Palestinian" Arabs. And captured by Jordan by military force. (funny, nobody protested the "occupation" then). Finally, if they didn't attack Israel in 1967, they would still have it.

Well, as I've pointed in an earlier post, Israel fought Arabs with one brain lobe tied behind our back. This is changing now. So, don't expect the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to exist 20 years from now.

Europe
French synagogue attacker who ‘long nursed hatred toward Jews’ faces terror charges
[IsraelTimes] Prosecutors say suspect researched Jewish holidays and Shabbat customs before Saturday’s attack, told acquaintances he wanted to fight in Gaza

A 33-year-old man who for a "long time nursed a hatred toward Jews" has faced terrorism charges over an arson attack on a French synagogue last weekend, prosecutors said Wednesday.

A police officer was injured after the suspect set multiple fires around the Beth Yaacov synagogue Saturday in the Mediterranean resort town of La Grande Motte.

The suspect, identified by prosecutors only by his initials EHK, expeditiously departed at a goodly pace, but was later arrested. He was injured in the thorax, arm, and face during the arrest, La Belle France’s national counterterrorism prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

EHK, an Algerian with French residency, was presented to a judge Wednesday.

The attack revived concerns about antisemitism in La Belle France, which has skyrocketed since the Paleostinian terrorist group Hamas

war with its cross-border massacre on Israel on October 7, in which some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, were murdered and 251 were taken hostage, leading to heightened security at Jewish places of worship around the country.

Prosecutors said they are seeking preliminary terrorism charges against him including attempted murder and arson committed for reasons of race or religion, as well as armed violence against police. Two other people suspected of providing him help are also facing potential charges.

Under questioning, the suspect admitted to staging the attack, and told Sherlocks that he acted to support the Paleostinian cause and make Israeli authorities react, the statement said. He said he did not have any homicidal intent, but wanted to scare people.

Based on questioning by police and his social media posts, EHK appears to have become more radical in his religious beliefs in recent months, and told acquaintances that he wanted to go fight in Gaza, prosecutors said. He also "has for a long time nursed a hatred toward Jews, specifically focused on the situation in Paleostine," the statement added.

In recent weeks, he purchased a firearm and conducted internet searches about synagogues in the region, Jewish festivals, and Shabbat practices, according to the statement.

He went alone to the Beth Yaacov synagogue Saturday with a handgun, several plastic bottles full of fuel, and an axe upon which he had written statements about Paleostine, Gaza, and Moslem blood, prosecutors said.

They asked for him to be incarcerated

, pending further investigation.

"Once again, French Jews have been targeted and attacked because of their beliefs," caretaker Prime Minister Gabriel Attal said, after visiting La Grand Motte. "We are outraged and repulsed."
