Brazilian senators have pledged to schedule the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes during today's deliberative session at 4:00 PM.
Leading the efforts are Senator Cleitinho and Senator Girão.

Democrats are already pushing back against a Republican-led plan that would temporarily fund the federal government until March, decrying a separate bill attached to the measure that requires proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration.
Speaker Mike Johnson is planning to introduce the continuing resolution (CR) next week with the hotly-contested SAVE Act tethered to it, which would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections, Punchbowl reported Tuesday. At the same time, a number of Democrats have called the effort a nonstarter and encouraged Republican lawmakers to be more "bipartisan."
"As we have said each time we’ve had a CR, the only way to get things done is in a bipartisan way and that is what has happened every time," Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer told Punchbowl.
The SAVE Act was spearheaded by Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas with five Democrats joining 216 Republicans to pass the bill in July. Roy preemptively claimed that Democrats playing "pure politics" would cause the bill to fail.
"Recall — the "SAVE" Act (I introduced it — HR8281) passed with 5 Democrats voting for it (and others privately wanting to)," Roy said in a Monday post on X. "If they vote "no" with it attached to a funding bill that funds government to March — it’s pure politics."
“Demanding outrageous partisan poison pills is a nonstarter — we’ve seen this movie before and we know how it ends,” Democratic Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Patty Murray of Washington told Punchbowl. “Senate Democrats will continue to work in a bipartisan way to ensure we can keep the government funded and deliver responsible, bipartisan spending bills that can actually be signed into law before the end of the year.”
Meanwhile, Roy’s Democratic colleagues are aiming to pin the blame on Republicans if the funding bill doesn’t go through.

[Breitbart] The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed Tuesday that soldiers had discovered a railway track inside a Hamas tunnel underneath northern Gaza.
In a statement, the IDF said:
Since the beginning of the war, the IDF has been working to dismantle and neutralize the underground infrastructure of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Troops from the Engineering Unit of the Gaza Division and the Northern Gaza Brigade, in collaboration with the Yahalom Unit, uncovered and destroyed, based on prior intelligence information, an attack underground tunnel route of Hamas in the Beit Lahia area. The length of the destroyed tunnel route exceeds one kilometer.
The tunnel route that was destroyed was located and investigated over the past few weeks. The troops identified weapons, electrical infrastructure, and a transportation rail within the tunnel route.
Israel is slowly destroying Hamas’s tunnel network, which is thought to extend for hundreds of miles underneath the small territory.
Some tunnels have been large enough to drive vehicles through, including at least one smuggling tunnel underneath Rafah, near the Gaza-Egypt border.
At least some of the remaining Israeli hostages are thought to be held in the tunnels.

Beckett's car was later found abandoned at an apartment complex on Dunlap Street, around three miles away. The 90-year-old was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to ABC13.
As the search continues for the thief, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced on Monday that anyone with information who could bring him to justice will receive $10,000.
Crime Stoppers of Houston is also offering those with information about the suspect a $5,000 reward - bringing the total reward money up to $15,000 for anyone who could help police track down the suspect.
He has been described as a black man aged between 25 and 30, per Fox News.
In the meantime, family and friends are remembering the veteran as a kind and funny man.
He spent much of his retirement helping others, including by driving people without cars to doctor's appointments and Sunday church service.
Beckett even offered his home as a halfway house, taking lodgers to panhandle and driving them to church where he even baptized some of them.
'He loved big and loved his family so much,' his daughter, Tami Freund told Fox News. 'To him, everyone had value, and he would do anything for anyone.'
He also loved meeting new people and often greeted them with jokes or by handing out his business card which read 'my card,' Freund said.
'Nelson was a comedian of sorts,' Steve Sandifer, a friend of Beckett's for 47 years, added to Click 2 Houston.
'He always had a funny story. And so when he started talking about, well, "there was this man..." you knew it was a story, not a true thing. And you'd get around to the point eventually.
'But he was a very loving man, a very caring man. He was just a good, faithful Christian man. He loved Jesus. He loved his church.'
Sandifer also shared a story about Beckett's time in the Navy.
'He was in the Navy when they were doing the atomic bomb tests that went on. He was on a ship when the Bikini Atoll bomb was detonated,' he said.
'He talked about all the guys getting on the deck of the ship, and they told them to turn their back to the island.
'Evidently, they were human guinea pigs to see what was going to happen,' Sandifer said.
'He remembered the light was very, very bright. And it was like, some of the x-rays you'd see in the cartoons where the light was just immense.'
Beckett grew up in Oklahoma City, where he married his wife of 55 years.
The two then moved to Houston in the early 1960s with their two children.
At the time of his death, Beckett had five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren with another on the way.

[ZeroHedge] In recording for this week’s NFP, Morgan Stanley made reference to an Atlanta Fed report on immigrant workforce participation.1 The immigration topic had been top of mind for some time, and some things needed to be said. The US workforce data masks a much bigger problem with no signs of stopping even if the immigration does.
A PERMANENT WELFARE STATE
This is the Atlanta Fed's take: Immigrants, generally speaking, don’t enter the workforce for the first two years they’re here. That’s not new. Over time, they usually work their way into the job market as they get used to the country. But this time, things might be different.
We might be looking at the creation of a permanent welfare state. The data being shared suggests that new immigrants won't be working much for the first two years. Instead, they'll be underemployed—that's the term being used. Now, that’s not meant as criticism. It’s just how assimilation works. The real question is whether the current wave of immigrants wants to assimilate. I have my doubts. Take a look at the participation rates in the workforce. The reddish line represents those who've been here for two years or less. Typically, they work fewer hours. That’s just the norm.
Interestingly, during 2020, their work hours actually went up because while others were staying home, they were out working. But now, their hours are dropping again. This trend line is likely to keep falling.
TWISTED AMERICAN DREAM
Historically, immigrants came to this country to escape something—be it socialism, fascism, communism, or poverty—and to build a better life. They understood that hard work was the path to something better. My own grandparents, like many others, came here with nothing and worked their way up. That was the American Dream.
But I’m not sure that’s the mindset of many immigrants coming in now. Yes, they’re likely fleeing something worse than what’s here, but there’s a growing expectation that they’ll be taken care of right away. The concept of working hard to achieve the American Dream might not be as clear to them.
This isn’t just anecdotal; it's backed by the behavior and attitudes we’re seeing. Many immigrants are entering the country with a mindset shaped by political promises of support and benefits, rather than a focus on integrating into the workforce. This shift could lead to a culture clash, as the expectation of immediate support clashes with the traditional American value of earning your keep.
NOBODY UNDER 40 IS HIRED
There’s a disturbing trend. Younger generations, even those born here, seem to be losing the drive to seek out work. I spoke with an executive at a major firm in Philadelphia. He mentioned that they’re not firing people, but they’re also not hiring. What’s striking is that no one under 40 is even applying for jobs anymore. These are white-collar jobs, mind you, not entry-level positions. The younger applicants they do see aren’t qualified, even with degrees.
This points to a broader issue: an educational system that’s not preparing young people for the workforce. The impact is most severe among those under 40, leading to a growing underclass that lacks the skills and motivation to thrive in a competitive job market.
We’re seeing the makings of a Marxist environment—an emerging proletariat class that’s content to be taken care of, rather than striving to succeed. This trend, if it continues, could have devastating consequences for our society.
POLITICIANS ARE MISSING THE MARK
And for those relying on these workforce participation charts, particularly politicians looking to bolster the labor force with new immigrants, I think they’re missing the mark. We do need workers, especially with an aging population. But offering free benefits and expecting them to integrate into the workforce later isn’t a sustainable solution.

''They killed many people and burned many shops and houses. We are yet to ascertain the actual number of those killed in the attack.''
Dungus said it appeared to be a Dire Revenge attack ''for the killing of two Boko Haram turbans by vigilantes from the village''.
Bulama Jalaluddeen, a local official, added: ''From these figures it has been established that at least 81 people were killed in the attack.
''Fifteen bodies had already been buried by their relations by the time soldiers reached Mafa for the evacuation of the corpses. In addition to these, some unspecified number of dead victims from nearby villages who were caught up in the attack were taken and buried by their kinsmen before the arrival of the soldiers. Many people are still missing and their whereabouts unknown.''
Boko Haram and other jihadist groups have waged a 15-year insurgency in north-east Nigeria that has killed more than 40,000 people. Central and north-west Nigeria have been plagued for years by gangs of criminals, known as ''bandidos'', who raid villages, kill and abduct residents and burn homes after looting them.
By working alongside these gangs, jihadist groups have increasingly established a presence in central Niger state, officials and analysts say.
[PUNCHNG] Troops of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with other security agencies, have arrested no fewer than 15 individuals allegedly supplying arms and logistics to snuffies in Taraba, Kaduna, and Yobe states.
This was as suspected bandidos, in the early hours of Monday, killed one police officer, Inspector Eze, and one other local vigilante officer in Sokoto State.
During the Taraba, Kaduna, and Yobe operations, some arms and ammunition, Point of Sale machines, vehicles, and handcuffs were also recovered.
According to a statement posted on X, on Monday, the army said five of the suspects were arrested in Taraba State.
The service said troops recovered three AK-47 rifles, two fabricated rifles, two single-barrel guns, and two Dane guns, among others, during the operation.
The post read, ''Troops of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with other security agencies, acting on credible intelligence, have successfully captured 15 terrorist gunrunners and logistics suppliers and neutralised one in an encounter.

Turkey warned Israel of "serious consequences" if it tries to hunt down members of the terror group living outside Paleostinian territories, including in Turkey.

Last week, the FBI revealed that investigators who have conducted nearly 1,000 interviews do not yet have a motive for why 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks shot at Trump during a July campaign rally.
They believe that Crooks conducted 'extensive attack planning,' including looking up campaign events involving both Trump and current President Joe Biden, particularly in western Pennsylvania.
The FBI analysis of his online search history reveals a 'sustained, detailed effort to plan an attack on some event, meaning he looked at any number of events or targets,' Kevin Rojek, the special agent in charge of the FBI's Pittsburgh field office, told reporters last week.
Once a Trump rally was announced for July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, 'He became hyper-focused on that specific event and looked at it as a target of opportunity,' Rojek said.
Crooks' internet searches in the days leading up to the rally included queries about the grounds where the rally was held, 'Where will Trump speak from at Butler Farm Show?' 'Butler Farm Show podium' and 'Butler Farm Show photos.'
In the 30 days before the attack, the FBI says, Crooks did more than 60 internet searches related to Biden and Trump, including seeking the dates of both the Democratic and Republican national conventions.
FBI Director Christopher Wray has previously revealed that one week before the shooting, Crooks did a Google search for 'How far away was Oswald from Kennedy?'
That's an apparent reference to Lee Harvey Oswald, the shooter who killed President John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963.
The new details add to an emerging portrait of Crooks as a highly intelligent and reclusive man who investigators say in the years before the shooting had taken an eerie interest in explosives, violence and prominent public figures but whose internet searches of Democrats and Republicans alike have frustrated efforts to assign a simple political motive or to establish why Trump himself would have been targeted.
'We have a clear idea of mindset, but we are not ready to make any conclusive statements regarding motive at this time,' Rojek said. The FBI has also not found that anyone else had advance knowledge of the shooting or that Crooks had conspired with anyone else.
The FBI found explosive devices in his car and home, and investigators say his internet searches revealed that since at least 2019 he had looked up information about bomb-making materials, including about how remote detonators work.
The FBI has said that Trump was struck in the ear by a bullet or a bullet fragment in the assassination attempt.
Crooks fired eight shots from an AR-style rifle. One rallygoer was killed and two others were injured before the gunman, who was positioned on the roof of a building less than 150 yards away, was killed by a Secret Service counter-sniper.
Also last week, the FBI released images of the rifle Crooks used, his backpack and improvised explosive devices found in his car.

[Breitbart] Germany-based Volkswagen (VW) is considering closing plants in its home country as automakers in the European Union (EU) grapple with a flood of cheap China-made cars that are increasingly making up a share of auto sales in the continent.
“The European automotive industry is in a very demanding and serious situation,” Volkswagen Group CEO Oliver Blume said on Monday, suggesting VW may close some of its plants in Germany and drop some job protections for auto workers to cut costs.
A VW plant closure in Germany would be the first time the automaker closed a plant in its home country and the first time it closed a plant worldwide since closing its Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, plant in 1988.
The move would come as Chinese automakers, offering highly subsidized cars sometimes made with slave labor, grow their market share across Europe — triggering the EU to impose temporary tariffs on China-made Electric Vehicles (EVs).
Chinese automakers scored a record 11 percent share of the EU market in June of this year. A policy analysis published in May suggests that China-made EVs will account for a quarter of all EVs in Europe by the end of the year.

After graduate school and following time in the US Army as an intelligence officer, I joined the CIA. I was an operations officer, which means a spy. The tune that was being played in Washington was that 'we are threatened'.
Anyway, while I was doing this I was also talking to a number of my friends who were classmates [from prior schooling and training early in his career] who were analysts and they at this point were very senior analysts in the agency. And the United States meanwhile was preparing to attack Iraq because Iraq was 'a threat'.
And these friends of mine who were analysts saw all of the raw information that went into what the US government was seeing and they said, "you know this is all bullshit, this is all a lie - the intelligence that's coming in is fake. And this fake intelligence is being used to justify starting another war."
So anyway I got 'converted' and I started to be somewhat outspoken on the issue of why we should not be going into Iraq and we should leave this alone. And word of this got around [the agency].
So they called me in, they polygraphed me. They wanted to know who among all of my friends have similar views. I refused to cooperate and they said at that point, "well you failed your polygraph exam, we want to take away your security clearance."

Hawley appeared on "Jesse Watters Primetime" Tuesday night to reveal whistleblowers' claims that when Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents were reassigned to work on the protective details, they were given a single two-hour webinar on Microsoft Teams.
The videos were pre-recorded, with whistleblowers allegedly saying that the videos were riddled with technical mishaps.
"Imagine 1,000 people logging onto Microsoft Teams at the same time after being informed at the last minute that everyone needed to login individually," one whistleblower told Hawley. "Once it got rolling, the Secret Service instructor couldn’t figure out how to get the audio working on the prerecorded videos [which I’m told are the same videos as last year]. The family was eating at Malibu Creek State Park, west of Los Angeles, about 4.30pm on Sunday when the animal struck.
The animal grabbed the child's head in its jaws and tried to run away with its prey before the boy's father wrestled him free.
About 40 people who were in the campground at the time were shocked that the mountain lion brazenly wandered into the crowded area and attacked.
'Somebody screamed the baby's name, and his dad started running,' a witness told KTLA.
'The father grabbed the mountain lion with his hands, and he just fought. Then the mountain lion let go.'
Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, State Park Rangers along with police and firefighters responded to rescue the boy, who suffered injuries to his head and eyes.
He was airlifted to Northridge Hospital Medical Center and released on Sunday night, but later returned to the hospital to treat complications.
The mountain lion climbed a tree after the boy's father and others chased it off, and was still there when rangers found it.
The lion was determined to be a public-safety threat and fatally shot by a park ranger.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife collected evidence and samples from the boy's injuries and clothing, and matched it to the lion's DNA.

The manhunt for Dimas Gabriel Yanez, 26, began Saturday after a 14-year-old girl was stabbed in the hand with a butcher-style knife while at her brother’s baseball game in unincorporated Lowell, Indiana, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.
When the girl’s mother tried to help, the suspect also tried to stab the mother before fleeing, according to authorities. The teen has since been treated and released from a hospital.
Authorities recovered a knife believed to have been used in the attack and named Yanez as a person of interest, warning the public that he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The population of the Russian Empire grew not only due to the European Russian provinces, but also due to the conquered and annexed lands. The famine affected to varying degrees 22 of the 50 provinces of European Russia, in which, at the end of 1891, 89,587,000 people lived (with an error of several tens of thousands), at the end of 1892 - 90,923,000 thousand, at the end of 1893 - 91,392,000. Growth, albeit with a decrease, is obvious.
Therefore, we will look separately at those provinces that, as we know, were affected by an unprecedented crop failure.
We take two years for comparison - the post-harvest 1888 and the most famine-ridden 1892. We look at the ratio of births to deaths, which gives the natural population growth. First, simply in quantity, then, to be sure, the same indicators per 100 residents - the population size changed). In some provinces that were completely affected by famine, data may not be provided for all districts, since not all information could be processed (for example, there was confusion and a lack of figures for rural Tatars in the Kazan province).
