Harris defends security aid to Israel alongside pressure for ceasefire
The poor thing finds herself between the Devil and the deep blue sea. Is she clever enough to thread between her Jew-hating, Progressive impulses and those of her voters who still love Israel?
[IsraelTimes] US Vice President Kamala Harris
It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day
defends US security assistance to Israel, but also says the Biden administration will not halt its pressure on Jerusalem for an end to the fighting.

"The aid that we have given Israel allowed Israel to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles that were just meant to attack the people of Israel," Harris tells CBS’s "60 Minutes" in a preview clip of a rare interview, slated to air in full tonight.

The administration has faced questions over its continued aid to Israel given accusations that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is bucking Washington’s interests and objectives in the region.

"When we think about the threat that Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
, Hezbollah... Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
present, I think that it is without any question, our imperative to do what we can to allow Israel to defend itself against those kinds of attacks," says Harris, who is running to succeed US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity....
in the White House.

The Democrat insists that the security aid is provided in parallel to diplomatic engagements with Israel’s leaders aimed at swaying their actions.

"The work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles, which include the need for humanitarian aid, the need for this war to end, the need for a deal to be done which would release the hostages and create a ceasefire, and we’re not going to stop in terms of putting that pressure on Israel and in the region, including Arab leaders," she says.

Pressed on what that pressure has accomplished, given how the war in Gazoo

has dragged on and the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah has expanded dramatically in recent weeks, Harris rejects the premise but does not give concrete examples to back her point.

"The work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region," she says.

Asked whether the US has a close ally in Netanyahu, Harris dodges once again. "I think, with all due respect, the better question is, do we have an important alliance between the American people and the Israeli people? And the answer to that question is yes."

Harris has made this argument once before, cautioning against the conflation of Israel’s government with its people amid the Biden administration’s growing rift with Netanyahu over his handling of the war in Gaza.

#6  Report: Biden Offering Israel ‘Compensation’ to Not Hit Iranian Targets

“'The package would include a total guarantee of comprehensive diplomatic protection as well as a weapons package and was offered directly in return for holding off [emphasis added] on striking certain targets in Iran,' said a report from Israel’s Kan11 news cited by the Jerusalem Post."

So, when will it be "OK" for them to muss up some Mullah hair? Maybe sometime after 20 January 2025?

Olde Tyme Religion
Amnesty: Two killed in Pakistan over blasphemy charges in one month
[KhaamaPress] Amnesty International announced on Sunday, October 6, that cases of killings on charges of blasphemy
...the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence to a deity, or sacred objects, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable. Some religions consider it to be a crime. In Pakistain you can commit blasphemy by looking cross-eyed at a Koran...
have increased in Pakistain. The organization reported that in September alone, at least two individuals were killed by coppers in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
for alleged blasphemy.

Amnesty International noted that since the beginning of 2024, at least four people have been killed in Pakistain on blasphemy charges.

The organization added that in September, a 32-year-old Moslem doctor in the Umarkot district of Sindh province was killed by Pak police after being accused of blasphemy.

In the same month, a 52-year-old Moslem man, the owner of a hotel in Quetta, Balochistan, was also killed by police on similar charges.

Amnesty International highlighted that since Pakistain gained independence in 1947, 107 people have been killed on blasphemy charges. Among the victims, nine were teachers, and 48 belonged to religious minorities.

The organization has called on Pak authorities to take effective measures to prevent such incidents and hold those responsible for these killings accountable. Amnesty International also urged the government to repeal all blasphemy laws in the country.

Tens of thousands of Moroccans protest ties with Israel on eve of Oct. 7 anniversary
[IsraelTimes] Demonstrators in Rabat wave Palestinian flags and portraits of Hassan Nasrallah, calling for the kingdom’s 2020 normalization deal with Israel to be revoked

Tens of thousands of Moroccans protested in Rabat on Sunday against the kingdom’s four-year-old normalization of ties with Israel, one day before the first anniversary of Hamas

’s October 7 attack.

Demonstrators waved Paleostinian flags and brandished signs denouncing the country’s participation in the Abraham Accords normalization deals, chanting "Resistance® does not die" and "The people want an end to normalization."

They also waved Lebanese flags and held portraits of slain Hezbollah terror group leader His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

, who was killed in an Israeli strike on southern Beirut on September 27.

Khadija Mokhtari, a 56-year-old retiree living in the capital, told AFP at the protest near parliament, "We consider Paleostine to be a national cause."

She said she joined the protest to demonstrate against "flagrant injustice, Israeli killings and the genocide" against Paleostinians.

Another protester, Noufissa Souad, 39, said: "They are going to kill the entire Paleostinian people for their land," and said Arab and Moslem leaders must speak out.

Possibly that made more sense in the original Moroccan Arabic, a dialect unintelligible to those trained in the Palestinian, Egyptian, and Saudi versions, as Mr. Wife was. When he worked in Morocco, he spoke to the natives in his schoolboy French.
The protest came a day before the first anniversary of Hamas’s attack last year.

The streets of Rabat also saw anti-Israel demonstrations last year in the immediate wake of the Hamas attack, with protesters burning an Israeli flag and celebrating the onslaught.

…knowing, as they do, which side their bread is buttered on.
Ahead of October 7, 2023, ties between Israel and Morocco had expanded rapidly, with Rabat buying advanced drones and other military equipment as well as cybersecurity products.

Bilateral trade grew by a third in 2022, while some 200,000 Israelis visited Morocco, according to official figures. Some 700,000 Israelis are of Moroccan descent, and many have maintained strong ties.
Sentiment is all very well, but they still will not move back, any more than the minority of Jewish Moroccans who settled in Europe and the Americas. Whether in a few more generations they still will be sentimental about the Olde Countrie that has housed ancestral bones since the 1st century AD will depend on how Morocco behaves.
Sunday’s rally was organized by the National Action Group for Paleostine, which brings together leftist groups and the Islamist Justice and Development Party.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran introduces plan to end permanent residency for migrants, aims to deport 2 million Afghans
Back they go to the loving embrace of their unwanted Taliban masters — Sunnis, Hazera Shiites, and moderns all together. May God watch over their souls because the Taliban most assuredly will not. Nor is there any point in looking to the National Resistance Front (NRF) of Afghanistan and the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF), both of which appear to be vanity projects rather than the genuine guerrilla forces they were a generation ago.
[KhaamaPress] Valiollah Bayati, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s Internal Affairs Committee, stated that the proposed plan for organizing foreign nationals does not provide for permanent residency for migrants colonists in Iran.

Iranian media reported on Saturday that the Internal Affairs Committee of the Iranian Parliament is reviewing the plan for managing foreign nationals and the charter of the National Immigration Organization.

According to tfhe report, the plan only includes three types of temporary residency permits: one-year, three-year, and possibly seven-year permits.

The spokesperson emphasized that various government agencies are reviewing the plan, and more than 20 provisions have already been approved.

Bayati clarified, "According to this plan, migrants colonists entering the country will be given a card after an iris scan. This card will provide all necessary services for the individual. It cannot be forged, and the migrant must carry it until they leave the country."

He added, "We do not intend for migrants colonists in the country to stay long-term, and under this plan, there will no longer be permanent residency for foreign nationals in Iran."

Previously, Iranian officials have emphasized the deportation of "illegal" migrants colonists, particularly Afghan citizens, from the country.

Recently, Ahmad Reza Radan, the commander of Iran’s law enforcement, announced that by the end of this solar year, 2 million Afghan migrants colonists will be expelled from Iran.

He stressed that the deportation of Afghan migrants colonists from Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. is ongoing.

This new plan underscores Iran’s strict stance on migration, particularly towards Afghan nationals, as the country continues to tighten its immigration policies. With millions of Afghan refugees already facing expulsion, concerns grow over the humanitarian impact of these policies.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
A year of war: IDF data shows 728 troops killed, over 26,000 rockets fired at Israel; IDF displays some of the weapons, vehicles Hamas used in 10/7 attqck
[IsraelTimes] Military says 17,000 terror operatives killed in Gaza, at least 800 in Lebanon; 4,700 tunnel shafts found in Strip; 11,000 Hezbollah positions hit

As the country marked one year since the onset of the war on October 7, 2023, the Israel Defense Forces on Monday published new data on its operations in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip, the West Bank, and Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, from the number of rockets fired at Israel to the number of sites struck by the Israeli Air Force.

HAMAS NUMBERS:
According to the data, some 17,000 Hamas
..always the voice of sweet reason...
operatives and members of other terror groups have been killed by the IDF in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war,
…a number that has not been increased for months, which makes no sense…
in addition to some 1,000 forces of Evil inside Israel on October 7, when button men rampaged through southern communities massacring some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducting 251 to Gaza.

Israel responded with a military campaign to topple the Hamas regime in the Gaza Strip, destroy the terror group, and free the hostages.

The Hamas-run health ministry has said over 41,000 Paleostinians have been killed in Gaza, though the figure cannot be independently verified and is believed to include both civilians and Hamas members killed in Gaza.
When pushed they amend that to 41,000 killed or are presumed dead, though they still provide no basis for the assumption.
The IDF’s data said that the military has killed eight Hamas brigade commanders and those of an equivalent rank, as well as more than 30 battalion commanders. More than 165 Hamas company commanders and operatives with a similar rank have also been killed, according to the data.

Some 40,300 targets have been struck in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, and troops have located some 4,700 tunnel shafts, the IDF said.
The size of the investment that now has to be written off because the underlying assets are depreciated to zero! But the investors insisted on putting their capital in a low-probability vanity project…
The day after the Hamas assault, Lebanon-based terror group Hezbollah began attacks along Israel’s northern border, saying it was acting in support of Gaza. That fighting steadily escalated over the months, until boiling over last month after Israel began a new offensive against the terror group by killing its entire top leadership and launching a ground operation in southern Lebanon.

HEZBOLLAH NUMBERS:
In Lebanon, the IDF said it has killed more than 800 terror operatives, mostly members of the Iran-backed Hezbollah. The number included 90 Hezbollah commanders, according to the IDF.

According to the IDF’s data, nearly 11,000 Hezbollah positions have been struck by the military.
Not mentioned is miles of tunnels destroyed, but it’s still early days.
NUMBERS FOR THE GROUP PROJECT — IRAN AND ITS CATSPAWS TOGETHER:
Since the beginning of the war, over 26,000 rockets, missiles, and drones have been launched at Israel from multiple fronts.

The numbers included 13,200 projectiles fired from Gaza — at least 5,000 on October 7 alone — 12,400 from Lebanon, around 60 from Syria, 180 from Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
, and 400 from Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites.
— the latter of which in two direct attacks on Israel on April 13 and October 1.

The IDF did not detail how many drones and missiles had been launched from Iraq at Israel amid the war.

The figures did not include rockets — said by Israel to be at least in the hundreds — launched by Gazook terror groups that misfired and landed in the Strip,
…historically a quarter to a third come straight down on their neighbours within Gaza…
as well as those launched by Hezbollah that landed short in Lebanon.

ISRAEL NUMBERS
The IDF said the Military Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504 has interrogated some 7,000 Paleostinian suspects in the Gaza Strip, many of whom were arrested and brought to Israel for further questioning. Many have also been returned to Gaza after questioning.

A total of 728 soldiers, reservists, and local security officers have been killed and another 4,576 have been maimed in the war since October 7 — the latest on Sunday. Of them, 346 were killed and 2,299 were maimed during the ground offensive in Gaza.

The IDF also lists 56 soldiers killed due to friendly fire in Gaza and other military-related accidents.

WEST BANK NUMBERS:
Since October 7, in the West Bank, the IDF said troops have arrested more than 5,250 wanted Paleostinians, including more than 2,050 affiliated with Hamas. Additionally, some 690 button men, rioters who clashed with troops, or forces of Evil carrying out attacks have been killed by troops in the West Bank, the IDF said.

The IDF said 150 brigade-level raids have been carried out in the West Bank, and 30 homes of Paleostinians accused of terrorism have been demolished.

Ahead of anniversary, IDF displays weapons, vehicles used by Hamas in Oct. 7 attack

[IsraelTimes] Military presents weeklong exhibition of motorcycles, pick-up trucks, RPGs, anti-tank missiles, and other combat material seized from Hamas on October 7 and in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces on Sunday presented a display of weapons, ammunition, and vehicles used by Hamas during its October 7 attack last year and throughout the subsequent war in Gaza, that will be open this week for visits by foreign journalists, representatives of international research organizations, and diplomats.

The display includes vehicles and equipment used by some of the thousands of Hamas-led terrorists who invaded southern Israel that day, including pickup trucks, motorcycles, tractors, uniforms and intelligence materials, the IDF said in a statement.

The display also includes weapons such as anti-tank missiles, RPGs, rockets, explosive devices, and drones that were collected over the course of the yearlong campaign against the terror group following the attack, the IDF said.

The display has existed in some form or another for many months, but has been presented anew this week, and is expected to receive diplomats, think-tank representatives, and journalists, on the first anniversary of the Hamas attack last year that started the ongoing war.

It is a project of the Technological and Logistics Directorate’s Enemy Assets Confiscation Unit, the military said. The unit is mostly composed of reservists, and is charged with locating, documenting, and collecting weapons and other enemy material from combat zones.

Since the start of the war, the unit has confiscated approximately 70,000 items of enemy equipment, including around 1,250 anti-tank missiles and RPGs, as well as about 4,500 explosive devices, according to the IDF.

Officials said to warn PM that hostages are in dire conditions, intel is drying up
[IsraelTimes] Netanyahu convenes what is reportedly the first discussion in full month on the hostages, half of whom are thought to be alive, as Israel marks one year since their abduction

Israeli security officials warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday that there has been a steady decline in the amount of intelligence being gathered on the 101 people still held captive in Gaza, but that it is nevertheless clear the conditions in which they are held have deteriorated significantly.
Yahya Sinwar is uninterested in negotiating, because he sees his only hope for not being assassinated in being surrounded by the hostages. Thus Israel’s only hope for negotiations is to take Mr. Sinwar’s existence off the table, hopefully in the process rescuing some or all of the hostages. But if not, it must be remembered that the hostages would not be in danger were it not for Hamas, and according to the Geneva Conventions — that is to say international law - and no doubt also according to Jewish law, were those idiots to actually look at the rabbis’ accumulated discussions on the subject over the centuries, Hamas is wholly responsible for everything bad that happens to them. No matter how good it might feel to the noisy anti-Bibi h8ters to blame him for everything they dislike about the universe.
The information was relayed to Netanyahu during a discussion on the plight of the hostages on the eve of the first anniversary of the October 7 Hamas terror onslaught in southern Israel, when some 1,200 people were slaughtered and 251 were seized as hostages.

“The more time that passes, there’s less and less intelligence on the hostages, and that’s very worrying,” a defense official was quoted by the Ynet news site as saying during the meeting, reportedly the first high-level engagement on the issue of the hostages in a month.

“There’s an impression that nobody is dealing with this, not the mediators, and everyone has given up,” a source with knowledge on the matter told the news outlet. “There’s a feeling that it’s fallen off the agenda given the fears of regional war.”

The discussion was attended by heads of security agencies, several government ministers and the government’s hostage point man Gal Hirsch.

During the meeting, security officials reiterated the grim estimation first shared last month that around half of the hostages are still alive, but that those who have survived until now are experiencing steadily worsening conditions.

Defense officials also warned Netanyahu and others at the meeting that Hamas has ordered those guarding hostages to execute them if they feel the army is getting close, Ynet reported, citing an unnamed source familiar with the details of the meeting.
Yes, we know.
Hamas first indicated that it had ordered its operatives to murder hostages if Israeli troops appeared to be closing in when the terror group executed six hostages in a tunnel in Rafah in late August, just days before troops operating in the area discovered their bodies and extracted them for burial in Israel.

Participants in the meeting were also provided with an update regarding the progress — or lack thereof — in indirect hostage deal negotiations between Israel and Hamas.
Hamas still won’t negotiate. No news is no news.
Sources privy to the details of the discussion reported that negotiations have remained at an impasse, with intermediary country Qatar reportedly distancing itself from Israel’s stance and moving closer to Hamas’s stated demands for a deal.
All Muslim Brotherhooders together.
Meanwhile, the sources said, the US “just wants to avoid an escalation, and lives in a fantasy that we can reach an agreement with Iran about everything, [Hezbollah in Lebanon,] and Gaza, and settle it together. They live in a delusion.”
The President is senile, the Vice President is a lush — where else could they live?
Israel is hoping that the limited ground operation it launched in southern Lebanon will shift the paradigm when it comes to the hostage negotiations, Ynet added, and that Hamas will feel the pressure being placed on its ally Hezbollah.
But if not, at least Israel will continue making giant strides toward breaking all Hezbollah’s things and killing many more of its people, just like they’ve done to Hamas.
Hamas, meanwhile, issued a statement on Sunday, declaring that the group was not prepared to make concessions on its demands for a hostage release-ceasefire deal, which include a call for the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip — something that Israel has said it is not prepared to do.
See? Lack of progress is not Israel’s fault.
In a speech aired on Hamas’s media channels, senior Hamas official Khalil Al-Hayya reiterated the terror group’s opposition to the hostage deal proposal endorsed by Israel.

“What we rejected yesterday, we will not accept tomorrow, and what the occupation (Israel) failed to impose by force, it will not take at the negotiating table,” he vowed in an address littered with praise for the October 7 massacre.
Screw the negotiating table — force is clearly the way to go.
Lauding the invasion and assault of Israel’s southern communities as “glorious,” Al-Hayya claimed that “the Palestine cause has become the prime cause in the world and all parties now realize that there can be no security and no stability in the region unless our people gain their full rights.”
Oh, you sweet summer child…
According to the Hamas-controlled Gaza health ministry, the war in Gaza — sparked by the October 7 massacre — has claimed the lives of more than 40,000 people. The toll cannot be verified, however, and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel says it has killed some 17,000 combatants in battle as of August and another 1,000 terrorists inside Israel on October 7.

Israel has said it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stresses that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas including homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques.

Al-Hayya’s speech was aired as Israel launched a new ground operation in the northern Gaza city of Jabaliya, targeting efforts by Hamas to reestablish itself in northern Gaza. Several dozen terror operatives were killed in airstrikes and tank shelling, according to the IDF.

“The operation will continue as long as necessary, while systematically striking and thoroughly destroying the terror infrastructure in the area,” the IDF said of the operation.

Prior to the cabinet meeting on Sunday night, family members of hostages told Defense Minister Yoav Gallant that they feared the renewed offensive was endangering their loved ones, according to a statement by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum.

“Military pressure kills hostages,” the family members reportedly told Gallant, alluding to a frequent government slogan that only military pressure will bring about the hostages’ return.
No. Hamas kills hostages, both when there is military pressure and when there is not. Otherwise at least a third of the hostages would not already be dead. Incidentally, Hezbollah also kills hostages, and they were planning to acquire their own 10/7 collection when the IDF starting doing to them what they’ve been doing to Gaza for the past year. Y’all should be grateful you don’t have a great many more hostages to make parades about.
It is believed that 97 of the 251 hostages abducted by Hamas on October 7 remain in Gaza, including the bodies of at least 33 confirmed dead by the IDF.

Jewish students say anti-Israel Oct. 7 events at Montreal campuses set to celebrate Hamas
[IsraelTimes] Even after McGill and Concordia take measures to stem antisemitism on campus, protest groups continue to glorify terror a year after the Hamas massacre, putting local Jews on edge

Independent student groups formerly affiliated with Montreal’s McGill and Concordia universities have sparked outrage with a planned coordinated campus "flood" to mark the first anniversary of the October 7 terror onslaught in southern Israel, which Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
dubbed the "Al-Aqsa Flood."

The event, promoted as a commemoration of "the historic breach of the colonial border wall and a year of Paleostinian resistance," encourages students to walk out of class and "flood" the campus in protest of what organizers call "a year of genocide." Promotional materials feature an image of Gazooks celebrating atop a stolen Israeli military vehicle on October 7 — a visual that many interpret as glorifying acts of terror.

For many Jewish students, this protest represents more than just a symbolic walkout; it is the culmination of a year of hostility and fear.

"It’s another way of dehumanizing us and celebrating our death," said Ora Bar, a recent Concordia graduate who has been active in pro-Israel advocacy. "If they let it happen, glorifying the killers, this shows the direction where Canada is going."

The upcoming protest is part of a broader pattern of pro-Hamas activism that has left many Jewish students saying they’ve faced a climate of antisemitism and intimidation over the past year.

Bar described the constant tension on campus since the events of October 7, 2023, when thousands of Hamas-led holy warriors stormed into southern Israel, brutally murdering 1,200 men, women and kiddies, and kidnapping 251 to the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
Strip.

"We’ve seen a year of open celebration of violence," she said, recalling demonstrations in Montreal whose organizers distributed candy and glorified attacks on Israelis shortly after the massacre. "What’s happening now with this protest is just a continuation of the same dehumanizing behavior that’s been allowed to fester."

For many Jewish students, the lack of response from university leaders to earlier incidents, including campaigns by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement — which has faced accusations of antisemitism — and the dissemination of lists of Jewish-owned businesses to boycott, has only deepened their sense of vulnerability and fear on campus.

According to a recent report by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), antisemitic incidents in the United States skyrocketed after October 7, with particularly disturbing trends emerging on college campuses.

Among the most alarming findings was a 434 percent increase in violent mostly peaceful antisemitic posts on social media platforms such as X and Telegram on the day of the attack. Additionally, protests across the US have featured explicit support for terrorist groups including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine (PFLP), with demonstrators chanting slogans like "Long live the Intifada" and waving banners of convicted terrorists. Equally shocking, the widespread removal and vandalization of hostage posters — often targeting events that hosted survivors of the October 7 massacre — occurred at least 57 times across US college campuses in the year following the attack, signaling a disturbing trend of minimizing or denying Jewish suffering.

The planned walkout at McGill and Concordia underscores how anti-Israel protesters are staying a step ahead of university administrators and law enforcement. In July, a months-long encampment at McGill was dismantled by a private security firm. By the end of the summer, both McGill and Concordia universities had officially severed ties with their campus chapters of Students for Paleostine’s Honour and Resistance® (SPHR), the group behind the planned October 7 event.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pie fight, Bella grabbed the cocoanut cream...
the Montreal-based Jewish community organization Federation CJA is also planning a "Student Unity Vigil" on McGill’s campus on October 7, "in remembrance of those we lost and in solidarity with the hostages still held."

More anti-Israel October 7 events are being planned at universities and cities across the US, with many of them drawing controversy for what critics see as the glorification of violence and terror. In New York City, several events were planned for the weekend of October 5 and on October 7 itself across the city, with one "NYC Student Walkout" highlighting "One year of the student intifada."

These events, like the ones at Montreal universities, are promoted as acts of solidarity with the Paleostinians but have been widely condemned by Jewish organizations as dangerous expressions of antisemitism. The growing prevalence of these events has fueled concerns about campus safety for Jewish students, prompting protests and counter-demonstrations at several institutions. Some schools, such as Tufts University, have reportedly sanctioned pro-Paleostinian student groups over planned October 7 protests.

"SPHR has no affiliation with McGill University and is using the McGill name on social platforms without authorization from the university," clarified McGill’s Media Relations Office. "The University officially notified Meta and Twitter/X that the group was using McGill’s name without permission and demanded that Meta and Twitter/X remove the McGill name from the account. Unfortunately, Meta and Twitter/X are still allowing the account to use McGill’s name without authorization." Neither SPHR McGill nor SPHR Concordia responded to requests for comment regarding the event or their involvement.

According to B’nai Brith Quebec regional director Hank Topas, campus protesters are increasingly employing creative strategies to circumvent university administrators and law enforcement. One tactic involves setting up "mini-encampments," where pro-Hamas or anti-Israel groups suddenly gather outside or inside classrooms, chanting slogans and disrupting lessons.

"They will show up, barge into a class or be outside a class making all kinds of noise and their usual hateful slogans," Topas said. These spontaneous demonstrations often last up to 20 minutes before security arrives, and by the time the police show up, "the class is over and everybody has disappeared," he added.

Topas emphasized that the intent is to harass Jewish students and others sympathetic to Israel, creating an atmosphere of intimidation without facing legal consequences.

The impact of campus protests is spilling over into the broader Montreal Jewish community, with nightly demonstrations near the Israeli consulate in Westmount.

"There are nightly demonstrations with the beating of drums, the loudspeakers, the entire nine yards," said Topas.

The protests, held near a residential area home to many Jewish seniors, have distressed the local community. Despite efforts by B’nai Brith and meetings with various levels of government, Topas expressed frustration that there is "almost a hands-off approach," particularly from Montreal Mayor Valerie Plante, who, he said, has failed to support the Jewish community.

While the police have tried to assist, their efforts have been limited, creating a growing sense of vulnerability among Montreal’s Jewish residents.

Not all Jewish students at McGill share the concerns raised by organizations like B’nai Brith. A self-identifying leftist Jewish student, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, pushed back against what they called a "moral panic" around Jewish safety on campus.

"I don’t experience there to be much antisemitism at all," they said. The student also expressed discomfort with the increased security presence, stating, "McGill is hiring a ton of security, which I think makes a lot of people feel unsafe on campus. There is sort of a feeling of being pretty constantly surveilled."

Although they do not support the October 7 protest, explaining that they find it "not something that I feel comfortable supporting," they emphasized, "I don’t think it will make me feel unsafe."

Instead, the student said, "I support disruptive protest," but believes that the current discourse is unnecessarily inflaming tensions.

Hezbollah, now run by committee, says Israel hampering search for missing leader
[IsraelTimes] Israel is obstructing search and rescue efforts in an area where senior Hezbollah leader Hashem Safieddine is thought to have been when Israel bombed Beirut’s southern suburbs on Thursday, a Hezbollah official says.

Safieddine is seen as a likely successor to former terror leader His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The late, lamented satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...>
who was killed in an Israeli strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs, known as Dahiyeh, on September 27.

His fate remains unclear.

The senior Hezbollah political official, Mahmoud Qmati, also says he had no information on reports that the leader of Iran’s elite Quds Force Esmail Qaani has not been heard from since the strikes on Beirut late last week.

Israel should "let rescue teams do their work," he tells Iraqi state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?Qmati says Hezbollah is now being jointly led until it could pick a new leader, which would take time.

"What’s important is that joint command is in place," he says.

"The method of choosing a replacement for the secretary-general takes time and requires appropriate circumstances, and for that reason we suffice today with temporary joint command," he says.

Qmati says Nasrallah’s body remains in Lebanon and he will be laid to rest in Beirut’s southern suburbs, where Hezbollah holds heavy influence, when conditions allow.

Previous reports have suggested that Hezbollah fears a large funeral for Nasrallah could become a target for Israeli warplanes.

Verizon goes down for thousands across US with users unable to make calls or use internet
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Verizon went down across the US on Monday, leaving users unable to make phone calls, send text messages or surf the web.

Downdector, a site that monitors online outages, showed issues began about 8am ET, with customers reported mobile phone and internet services are not working.

Customers in New York City, Washington DC and Phoenix had the highest concentration of reported issues.

This marks the second Verizon outage in less than two weeks, with the last hitting in September 30.

About 69 percent of users cited problems with mobile phone service, 21 percent reported with 5G Home internet, and two percent said they had no signal, according to Down Detector.

Verizon told DailyMail.com: 'Some Verizon Wireless customers experienced a short service disruption when calling landlines this morning.

The outage lasted for a few minutes and is now resolved.'

Verizon customers shared their frustration on X, with many posting: 'Verizon is down again.'

One user joke on the platform, sharing: 'Don't worry, you paid your bill. Verizon is down.'

However, some customers were furious about another outage in less than two weeks.

'This is becoming way too frequent. Get it together, Verizon, or I'm walking,' a customer shared online.

While the cellular giant did not acknowledged the outage, Verizon Support was asking users on X about problems they are experiencing.

Verizon has more than 143 million users in the US - but the amount hit by the outage is unknown.

Hurricane Milton strengthens into Category 4 hurricane as Florida orders compulsory evacuations
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] … from 10am ahead of nine-foot storm surges.

Fast-approaching Hurricane Milton has been upgraded to a Category 4 storm before it smashes into Florida on Wednesday in a one-two punch for residents who are still recovering from Helene.

The storm was upgraded Monday morning, meaning it's now expected to bring 'catastrophic damage' as it heads toward Orlando and Tampa Bay - an area still reeling from Hurricane Helene last month.

Helene brought record storm surges to the area, killing 230 people while obliterating several small towns in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. Meteorologists have warned that Milton could be even worse.

The government's disaster response agency, FEMA, has been blasted over its slow response to Helene, with those in the path of Milton now warned not to expect immediate federal aid if they choose to ignore evacuation orders.

Kevin Guthrie, head of Florida's Department of Emergency Management, warned Milton could be 'life-threatening' and urged residents under evacuation orders to follow them.

'We are preparing for the largest evacuation we have seen since, most likely, 2017 Hurricane Irma,' he said. Around seven million people were told to evacuate the Sunshine State when Irma hit.

Maybe we'll get some rain.

Why are American Jews Liberal? A Eudaimonic Perspective
Because they (as most Westerners) live in a fantasy world?
[IsraelNationalNews] Much has been written about why American Jews tend to be politically liberal, with reasons often citing Biblical-prophetic ethics, minority status, memories of right-wing persecution, atavistic empathy with the oppressed, and even "habit."

While these explanations are valid and significant, they fail to address the core reason why American Jews, especially secular ones, find it harder to adopt a right-wing, conservative worldview without compromising their sense of happiness and fulfillment.

Liberals generally perceive human beings as tabula rasa—a blank slate—whose inherent goodness and altruism are corrupted by social injustice, ignorance, and material deprivation. Conservatives, by contrast, take a far less optimistic view: they tend to assume that human beings are inherently selfish and prone to vice and violence unless restrained by societal structures. (interestingly, the Bible agrees with them in Genesis 8,saying that "man's heart is evil from his youth.")

In essence, liberals believe that compassion, liberal education, freedom, and material security enable human flourishing. Conservatives, on the other hand, maintain that our selfish nature is best controlled through incentives and deterrents. This philosophical divide underpins two contrasting worldviews: one that justifies a more generous welfare state and lenient criminal justice system, and the other that vindicates capitalism and strict law-and-order policies.

Given that American Jews are generally better-off socioeconomically and are more deeply affected by lawlessness, one might expect them to gravitate towards conservatism. Yet relatively few do. Even those who cast conservative votes often do so with reservations, lacking the enthusiasm of coreligionists embracing liberal causes.

So, what explains this apparent contradiction?

Western conservatism aligns with a historical narrative that primarily vindicates a rural white Christian worldview. But this narrative offers Jews a bleak and disheartening interpretation of history, particularly of Jewish history and the antisemitism that plagues it.

A liberal worldview traditionally frames antisemitism as a temporary byproduct of ignorance and social injustice—flaws that can be corrected through education, tolerance, and equity, (although today's progressive and woke liberal ideology have made that framing questionable when it comes to antisemitism). According to the conservative view, however, antisemitism is neither temporary nor easily remedied; it is a persistent feature of human nature, naturally inclined toward envy, selfishness, and pettiness.
Anti-Semitism is a form xenophobia, and xenophobia is a survival instinct.
For Jews, this right-wing interpretation of history and human nature undermines the ethos of tikkun olam
…translated as repair the world…
and the hope that justice, education, and equality can eradicate bigotry. Instead, conservatism offers a far more cynical message: Jews are only safe as long as they remain wealthy, strong, and heavily armed.

This grim outlook can push secular conservative Jews to distance themselves from their ancestral identity. A notable example is Henry Kissinger, who, despite being a refugee from Nazi Germany, downplayed his Jewish heritage throughout his career. Similarly, Nigel Lawson, the architect of Margaret Thatcher’s economic reforms, also chose to minimize his connection to Judaism.
The rest of this is an ad for orthodox Judaism - up to you.

20% of the New Zealand Navy Sinks - Captain Lauded
[GCaptain] In a dramatic turn of events, HMNZS Manawanui, the Royal New Zealand Navy’s newly upgraded hydrographic salvage and support ship, ran aground last night during a reef survey off the southern coast of Samoa. The vessel subsequently caught fire and sank, marking the first peacetime loss of a Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) ship. While no injuries were reported, the incident resulted in an oil spill.

Videos and photos published by local media showed the Manawanui listing heavily and on fire with plumes of thick grey smoke rising after it ran aground. By 9 a.m. local time, the vessel had capsized and was “now submerged” after sinking beneath the surface, according to Reuters.

The New Zealand Defence Force stated that the cause of the grounding is currently unknown and will require further investigation. The ship was on its third deployment to the South West Pacific this year, with scheduled activities in the Kermadec Islands, Samoa, Tokelau, and Niue. It was due to return home on November 1st. The crew included seven civilian scientists and four foreigners.

The incident unfolded on Saturday evening, leading to a complex nighttime evacuation of all 75 crew members and passengers in challenging weather conditions. While New Zealand officials are praising the ship’s commanding officer, Commander Yvonne Gray, for her swift action, some question whether more could have been done to save one of only five fully operational ships in the underfunded and overworked RNZN fleet.

Chimney Rock devastation from Helene, approx 25 SE of Ashville, NC
[Video]
This footage in Chimney Rock is from October 3rd.

Previous post:
A lot of people have been asking how they can help. Here's what I saw October 1st:

I think the area is starting to get saturated with very legitimate help. I'm not sure how many more hands on deck are needed but I could be wrong. Water is the obvious thing needed since water systems have been compromised/contaminated so if you can find a reputable organization to donate to for water and food, that's a good idea. I was in Swannanoa this morning - they were hit HARD. The river swept through there killing people, reducing homes to rubble, and destroying businesses. I saw random people there just setting up tents with water, food, coffee, snacks. I think that's a great idea as people are in clean up mode, exhausted, sad and they need these things - they can't get these items anyway because maybe their car was crushed, their road is washed out, power is out so grocery stores are closed, etc. People need fuel for their generators (lines are hours long at the stations that are open).

There are communities stuck on top of mountains due to their only line of access being completely destroyed with no hope of it being fixed anytime soon. They're requiring air drops and rescues and these guys seem to be doing a good job if you'd like to donate - Aerial Recovery Group (links below).

Wellness checks in the region are a good idea. A friend sent me https://www.unitedway.org/ as a way to sign up to do wellness checks if you're local. I'm not sure how that organization works but it's an idea. You can also look in forums and see people asking about specific addresses.

Crazy thing is, this is just a few communities. Asheville, Hendersonville, Burnsville, this whole region, needs assistance. People are coming to help in big ways now, though. I met a group down in the river today from Myrtle Beach, a search and rescue team. I talked with some Cajun Navy people on side by sides today. The more the merrier.

Many people are asking what they can bring or what to donate. It's hard for me to answer that. Please go on facebook and search for a reputable organization, where they are, and what they need. Someone like local churches, Samaritan's Purse, Cajun Navy 2016, etc. There are a lot of good organizations here right now but I don't know them all.

I hope the Local County Sheriffs start arresting those costing victims increased suffering and even death.

A few Involuntary Homicide arrest charges would be fitting.

#6  Good morning. I live in the area hit by the flood on the Tennessee side of the mountain - right on the Unicoi County line 10 min from Erwin, TN. My daughter lives in Newport and my in-laws live near the Nolichucky River between Erwin and Greeneville. I have family across the mountain in Spruce Pine, Burnsville, and Micahville, NC. I was out with the first responders the day/night of the flood on the Doe River and in Erwin.

I agree with Besoeker, lots of legitimate help is in the area. Agencies/churches are looking for the means and locations to warehouse the aid near the folks that need it. The NG is here, lots of Blackhawks and Chinooks are flying/working here and in NC.

Re: FEMA - I have not heard any complaints on them on this side of the mountain, none. Most of the FEMA folks here are FEMA reservists (retired LE, MIL folks) that serve part time during disasters.

IMO, there is a lot of disorganization, which will soon sort itself out, that is causing the frustration that you read about on social media. Also, there is an immediate flash to bang on complaints made (founded and unfounded) that are immediately amplified without context on the social media sites.

So, bottom line - I personally have not heard of any FEMA stormtroopers seizing aid, or claiming Eminent Domain on this side of the mountain. The $750 offer of help from ole Kamala did piss everyone off though. Only one complaint of FEMA workers thoughtlessly taking a block of hotel rooms next to the disaster area - they should have rented rooms an hour or so away from the disaster are and drove in every day and left the rooms available for the victims in my opinion. If I hear of anything I will pass it on, if you hear of anything, let me know and I will check it out and report back.

Home Front: Politix
Court Rejects Group's Request for Arrest Warrants for Trump, Vance
[Breitbart] An Ohio court rejected a Haitian group’s request for arrest warrants against former President Donald Trump and his vice presidential running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) regarding comments about Haitian migrants.

While a panel of judges referred a case from the Haitian Bridge Alliance
…which at some point in the future will be revealed to have been a Democratic astroturf front group all along…
against Trump and Vance to county prosecutors, the judges reportedly “found no probable cause” for them to issue arrest warrants or summons for “misdemeanor charges,” city officials explained, according to the Associated Press.

“The matter was then referred to the Clark County prosecutor’s office for further investigation,” Springfield officials said in a statement, according to the outlet.

The Haitian Bridge Alliance is described as being a “non-profit organization that advocates for fair and humane immigration policies and connects migrants with humanitarian, legal, and social services,” according to the organization’s website.
Sure it is. Jeez — not even I am that gullible.
In September, the group reportedly “invoked a private-citizen right” and filed charges “over the chaos and threats” the Haitian community in Springfield dealt with after Trump issued claims that Haitian migrants were eating cats, dogs, and people’s pets, according to the outlet.

During the presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and Trump on September 10, Trump said that Haitian migrants in Springfield were “eating the dogs” and the cats, and “the pets of the people that live there.”

“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs, the people that came in, they’re eating the cats, they’re eating the pets of the people that live there,” Trump said.

Trump’s comments came after residents in Springfield alleged that Haitian migrants were taking and eating “ducks” from a local park.

“They’re in the park grabbing up ducks by their neck and cutting their head off and walking off with them and eating them,” Anthony Harris claimed during an August 27 city meeting.

A Facebook post also alleged that a Springfield resident’s “friend had lost her cat” and had discovered the cat “hanging from a bran at a Haitian neighbor’s home being carved up to be eaten,” according to the Springfield News-Sun.

While the Springfield police admitted that they were aware of the Facebook post, they revealed that they had not received any reports of any pets being taken or eaten, according to the outlet.

The claims come as over the past four years, the population of Haitian migrants in Springfield has “ballooned to more than 20,000,” Breitbart News’ Warner Todd Huston reported.

In the case filed by the Haitian Bridge Alliance, the group reportedly calls for “charges of felony inducing panic, disrupting public services,” and “making false alarms,” among others, according to the Springfield News-Sun.

The case filed by the Haitian Bridge Alliance requests charges of felony inducing panic, disrupting public services, making false alarms, two counts of complicity, two counts of telecommunications harassment and aggravated menacing.

The judges explained in their decision that “the conclusion of whether the evidence and causation necessary for probable cause exists to commence a prosecution of the alleged offenses is best left in the investigatory hands of the prosecution,” according to the outlet.

In their ruling, the judges added that “particular consideration should be given to ‘the strong constitutional protections afforded to speech, and political speech in particular,” adding that due to the presidential election being “less than 35 days away,” the topic of immigration was “contentious,” according to the outlet.

“Due to the proximity of the election, and the contentiousness concerning the immigration policies of both candidates, the Court cannot presume the good faith nature of the affidavits,” the judges wrote, according to the outlet.

Smirking .. about this Biden - Harris bit.
[X]
Sources say the rift between Kamala Harris and Jill Biden hit a new low last Friday.

Kamala was infuriated by Joe Biden’s unannounced appearance at the WH briefing room, where he overshadowed Harris’ sparsely attended event in Flint, MI, and again linked Harris to his record.

Harris’ campaign chairwoman Jen O’Malley Dillon called Jill Biden that night to relay Kamala’s frustration. An indignant Jill responded by saying that if that’s the way Kamala feels, then don’t expect her to hit the campaign trail for her as a surrogate during the final stretch of the election.

Jill Biden has been noticeably absent from the campaign.

The joy is gone.

''Tren de Aragua'' migrants busted for pistol-whipping woman during $75K jewelry heist
Very bad people who should never have been allowed in the country do bad things to the innocent natives they chose for their prey. In the old days it would be an F27 — I’m not sure what we do now.
[NYPOST] Four reputed members of the vicious Venezuela

...a country in Central America that sits on an enormous pool of oil. Formerly the most prospereous country in the region, it became infested with Commies sniffing almost unlimited wealth. It turned out the wealth wasn't unlimited, the economy collapsed under the clownish Hugo Chavez, the murder rate exceeded places like Honduras and El Salvador. A significant proportion of the populace refugeed to Colombia and points south...

n street gang ''Tren de Aragua'' are behind bars after a tense 8-hour standoff with cops in Texas following a violent mostly peaceful mostly peaceful $75,000 jewelry heist.

Dallas police said the migrant thugs followed the victim into her garage, pistol-whipped her and forced her into the Elsby Avenue home, where they made off with the valuables inside the woman's Gucci bag on Sept. 21, WFAA-TV News reported.

Authorities later rounded up three of the gangbangers — Yean Brayhan Torralba, 20, Alberto Martinez Silva, 34, and Manuel Hernandez-Hernandez, 28 — but the leader of the crew barricaded himself inside a home as Dallas cops and the Irving Police Department SWAT team deployed outside, the outlet said.

Wilmer Colmenares Gonzalez, 27, held police at bay for hours before he was taken into custody Thursday.

Police used surveillance video from the woman's garage and fingerprints from the scene in Northwest Dallas to identify the suspects and track them down, WFAA said.

According to Fox affiliate KDFW-TV, the migrants colonists colonists tied up the victim and threatened to cut off her fingers if she didn't lead them to the pricey gems during the robbery.

Hernandez-Hernandez told cops he didn't know his cohorts, and said he was told the crew was collecting money from a hooker who owed the gang, according to police records reviewed by the station.

Tren de Aragua has fanned out across the US after sneaking across the border with Mexico among the millions of asylum seekers who have flooded the country since 2022.

They are luring desperate women into the nation, holding them hostage and forcing them to sell their bodies until they pay off exorbitant smuggling fees to the gang.

The gang has also laid down roots in the Big Apple, infiltrating city-run migrant shelters to run guns, drugs, robbery crews and sex trafficking operations, law enforcement sources contend.

PA: Battleground state under fire for scheduling voter registration site to go dark same day as Butler rally
[FoxNews] 'Aren’t even trying to hide their blatant interference,' RNC co-chair Lara Trump said ahead of the maintenance

Conservatives blasted Pennsylvania's Department of State this month for scheduling a system maintenance update to its voter registration website the same day former President Trump returned to Butler, where he survived an assassination attempt in July.

The operation would have taken the site offline for several hours during the same time frame the Trump campaign expected to register voters. The department, however, moved the window of time for maintenance to later in the night amid an early outcry.

"The PA State Department voter registration website will be unavailable on Saturday, October 5th, the day that President Trump will be triumphantly returning to the site of the assassination attempt in Butler County, PA. W/ all eyes on PA, the site will be down. Coincidence?" GOP activist Scott Pressler posted to Instagram on Thursday.

Fox News Digital reviewed archived data from the Pennsylvania Voter Registration website and found that it issued a disclaimer to voters that the website would be unavailable on Oct. 5 beginning at 6 p.m.

"This website will undergo scheduled system maintenance and be unavailable Saturday, October 5 from 6 p.m. until 12 a.m. We thank you for your understanding.," the Pennsylvania Voter Registration website stated on Oct. 1, an archived page reviewed by Fox News Digital shows.

Trump announced on Sept. 25 that he would make a historic return to Butler on Oct. 5, months after he was shot in the side of the head by a would-be assassin on July 13. The Pennsylvania Voter Registration website announced its scheduled maintenance sometime between Sept. 30 to Oct. 1, archived data for the site reviewed by Fox Digital shows.

Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump and Pressler sounded the alarm on the scheduled maintenance earlier this month, questioning the timing and slamming the move as election "interference."

"Wow, they aren’t even trying to hide their blatant interference – appreciate you flagging, @scottpresler – @gop legal is on it and formally requesting the 'system maintenance' is moved to a different time," Lara Trump posted to Facebook on Thursday, accompanied by a screenshot of an Instagram post from Pressler asking if the timing of the maintenance was just a "coincidence."

Archived records of the website show that Pennsylvania officials updated the page on Oct. 3 – the same day Pressler and Lara Trump publicly posted about the timing of the maintenance – to reflect that the site would undergo maintenance at 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., instead of 6 p.m. until midnight.

Trump was scheduled to take the stage in Butler at 5 p.m. Saturday, meaning the site would have gone dark as he rallied his base and encouraged residents to register to vote.

Pressler joined Human Events’ Jack Posobiec about the matter last week, taking a victory lap that the time was changed to later in the night, following the rally, but added he’s still not "100 percent happy" with the timing of the schedule maintenance. Pressler noted that website updates are typically scheduled for the dead of night, when users are less likely to use the platform.

"It was clear that the Pennsylvania Department of State was engaging in election interference, trying to stop all of this national attention from translating into new voter registrations," Pressler said.

Lara Trump also celebrated how the scheduled maintenance moved to later in the night, sharing on Facebook Thursday, "And just like that, we got PA to move it. Great example of what happens when citizens demand fairness."

When asked for comment about the maintenance and recent backlash, the Pennsylvania Department of State told Fox News Digital on Sunday that the maintenance was originally scheduled for September before it was rescheduled for Oct. 5.

"The voter registration system maintenance on Oct. 5, 2024, was scheduled on Sept. 17, 2024. It was rescheduled to take place from 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 until 4 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, to accommodate county election officials who are spending additional weekend time to ensure each of the 67 counties is ready for Nov. 5, 2024," the Department of State said in comment.

The website is working as of Sunday morning, and no longer includes the disclaimer for a scheduled maintenance outage. Fox News Digital did not document the site shutting down for maintenance from Saturday evening into Sunday morning, though screenshots of the site posted to social media show the site's reported error page for maintenance.

A review of the Department of State's social media shows the website has previously shut down for scheduled maintenance at odd hours during the day, including on June 29 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. the following day.

The historic rally in Butler drew thousands as Trump made a return to the same grounds where he was nearly killed, as well as short remarks from tech billionaire Elon Musk who stressed the importance of registering to vote.

"I think it’s the most important election of our lifetime. This is no ordinary election. The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms… They want to take away your right to vote effectively," Musk told the crowd on Saturday.

Musk repeatedly encouraged the crowds to get everyone in their social circles and beyond to register and vote come Election Day.

"And honestly, you want to just be a pest. Just be a pest to everyone. You know, people on the street everywhere," he said.

"Fight, fight, fight, vote, vote, vote," Musk added, referring to how Trump shouted "fight, fight, fight" to the crowds after he was shot in the ear in July.

Tim Walz claims Kamala's 'border policies are the most strongest, the fairest we've seen' in US, defends MN’s freebies for illegals as safety play
It’s his job to utter such stupidities, so there’s that.
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Vice presidential candidate Tim Walz
...Kamala's smarmy-looking running mate, governor of Minnesota, who decided to retired rather than to deploy with his National Guard unit, then claimed to have been in Iraq and Afghanistan. One man's socialism is another man's neighborliness....
appeared on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream, where he praised Vice President Kamala Harris
So Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So, basically, that’s wrong
' border policies as the strongest and most fair the US has seen.

During the interview, Bream questioned Walz's record as governor, citing a Wall Street Journal article that highlighted his decision to sign legislation in Minnesota allowing illegal immigrants colonists to apply for driver's licenses, qualify for free tuition at universities, and enroll in Minnesota's free healthcare program for low-income residents. Bream asked Walz whether these programs incentivize illegal immigration and why legal residents should bear the cost of these services through their taxes.

Walz first deflected the question, instead emphasizing Minnesota's status as a top business state and the safety of its roads. He then went on to claim that Harris has policies that will help the current problems occurring on the southern border.

Walz Defends Drivers Licenses, Free Tuition, Health Care for Illegal Immigrants -- We Have 'Safest Roads'

[Breitbart] Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) said on this week’s Fox News Sunday broadcast that giving immigrants illegally in Minnesota drivers licenses, free tuition and health care has meant safe roads.
Not true, actually, but as long as he is running for VP he has to say so. Perhaps if he’d made sure that all his state’s illegals were given all their vaccines, at least they wouldn’t be infecting the native population, nor costing so much in health care, but that's a different question.
Host Shannon Bream said, “The Wall Street Journal says this after you were chosen to join the ticket: ‘As the Democratic Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz signed into law initiatives allowing immigrants in the country illegally to apply for drivers licenses, qualify for free tuition at state universities, and enroll in the state’s free healthcare program for low-income residents.’ Are those not magnets that draw people here, many times on dangerous journeys for themselves, and why should your taxpayers in Minnesota or across the States pay for those programs?”

Walz said, “That’s not the vice president’s position but I will say this: Minnesota ranks as a top five business state, we rank as a top three state for children living, and we are the top state for healthcare access. I would also add this, we have some of the safest roads. The vice president has made it clear she has policies that make a difference. Her border policies are the most strongest and fairest we have seen.”

Europe
'We Just Had a Quarrel.' How the Poles Blackmail Ukraine and Keep It Out of the EU
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Kristina Ismagilova

[REGNUM] For a long time, the genocide of Poles by Ukrainian nationalists was ignored by most of Warsaw's political elite or was mentioned only for propaganda purposes and in the programs of far-right parties. At the same time, for the citizens of Poland themselves, this topic is still painful and not fully resolved, and the ambiguous attitude towards it on the part of the authorities further provokes a painful perception of those events.

Ukrainians who, having arrived in Poland, sing Bandera songs or shout nationalist slogans do not help to cope with the pain, while the Kiev regime completely ignores any attempts, if not to restore historical justice, then at least to exhume the dead and bury them with dignity.

However, in just a few weeks, Warsaw began not only to refer more frequently to the topic of the Volyn massacre in political rhetoric, but actually focused on it.

"SHAMEFUL DEATH"
The Volyn massacre is the name given to the period from February 1943 to the first half of 1944, when the OUN-UPA (an extremist organization banned in the Russian Federation) and civilian Ukrainians loyal to the Banderites killed more than 100 thousand ethnic Poles on the territory of Volyn.

The first, most notable and documented act of ethnic cleansing was the massacre of February 9, 1943. Then Banderites, posing as Soviet partisans, entered the Paroslya colony. After the locals fed them, the Ukrainians hacked to death with axes over 170 people: men, women, children, and the elderly. Only because they were Poles.

Already with the onset of 1943, it was noted that Banderites began to kill individual citizens and entire families more often. Of course, the atrocities against the Polish population did not begin in one day and did not end suddenly, but it is traditionally believed that the peak was July 11, 1943: when the murders of ethnic Poles by Ukrainians acquired a mass character.

UPA units, supported by the Ukrainian peasantry, simultaneously attacked, according to various estimates, from 98 to 167 settlements in Volyn, almost completely destroying their civilian population, mainly women, the elderly and children.

At the same time, in early July 1943, the Polish underground even tried to negotiate with the OUN to stop the wave of murders, but the nationalists killed the “goodwill” envoys and at the same time declared a “shameful death” for all Poles in Ukraine.

Warsaw considers these events to be genocide of its people, and in 2016 the upper house of the Polish parliament adopted a resolution “on the issue of perpetuating the memory of the victims of the genocide committed by Ukrainian nationalists against citizens of the Second Polish Republic in 1939–1945.”

In 2020, Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish President Andrzej Duda jointly declared their desire to “respect the historical truth,” including allowing the exhumation of victims (something the Kyiv authorities had previously banned). However, in reality, it was only in November 2022 that permission for the procedures was received, and only in one village.

According to the Polish Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), the remains of about 55,000 ethnic Poles and 10,000 Jews “still lie in the death pits of Volhynia, waiting to be found, exhumed and buried.”

And to this day neither exhumations nor dignified burials of the dead have begun. After all, from the point of view of Ukraine, the Volyn massacre was a consequence of a long-term Polish-Ukrainian confrontation, in which both sides "committed actions condemned by the world community." That is why many, recalling these pages of history, also talk about losses on the Ukrainian side, and in Kiev they generally insist that "in Volyn, the Poles simply quarreled with the Ukrainians."

"RUSSIAN NARRATIVES"
Nothing much has changed since 2016. Quite the opposite: even in the Polish government there are politicians who deny ethnic cleansing, communicate with the descendants of Ukrainian nationalists and honorably receive, for example, the thugs from Azov (a terrorist organization banned in Russia).

At the same time, with the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine and with the close support of Kyiv by Warsaw, many Poles hoped that, given the seemingly improving relations, the issue of exhumation would also be resolved.

But time and again, the Polish authorities have pointed out that, although Polish-Ukrainian relations have “never been as close as they are now,” “their complex shared history is a test for the political elites of both Poland and Ukraine.”

In addition, media sources claimed that the Polish authorities have now decided to "settle the dispute" and stop opposing the cult of Stepan Bandera. And all because it is destroying relations between the countries.

The media also spread information that various Volyn memorial funds, memorial events and activities are devised and sponsored directly by the Kremlin, since they have an exclusively “anti-Ukrainian” narrative, the purpose of which is to worsen Ukraine’s ties with Poland.

In this regard, the ultra-right party "Confederation", which never forgot the atrocities of the Banderites, was called "pro-Russian". Ukrainian media, of course, readily supported such theses, pointing out that "Russia will no longer be able to divide us and quarrel with each other."

In this situation, Polish activists had already despaired of receiving any support from the state in their endless struggle for historical justice. However, suddenly the Polish political elite made a rather sharp turn in its rhetoric.

It all started around the time when it became clear that the coalition government organized by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk was not only unable to work in a coordinated manner, but also to nominate a single candidate for the presidential elections in the fall of 2025. Then the deputies began a desperate hunt for the electorate, and to strengthen their rhetoric they began to focus on the topic of the genocide of the Polish people.

Back in July, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of the Republic, Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh, stated that Ukraine should not be accepted into the European Union until the authorities in Kiev resolve issues related to the exhumation of bodies and paying tribute to the victims of the Volyn massacre.

The Kiev regime denied this, claiming that the Volyn massacre had nothing to do with joining the EU. In general, the topic of ethnic cleansing is “shrouded in mythology on both sides,” and the events “took place on territory occupied by the Soviet Union and Germany,” and “Ukraine as a state had nothing to do with what happened, because Ukraine simply did not exist.” In addition, the memory of the UPA is “sacred” for Ukrainians, since it “is part of the history of the struggle not against the Poles, but against the USSR.”

At the time, Kosinyak-Kamysh's statement did not particularly offend anyone until the then Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba visited Poland in late August. At the liberal Campus Polska event, organized by left-wing parties, he was asked when the Poles would be able to exhume the victims of the Volyn massacre.

To begin with, Kuleba, as the standard bearer of the Kiev regime, simply avoided a direct answer, recalling Operation Vistula, conducted in 1947 by the Polish Army to resettle mainly Ukrainians from the southeastern lands of the country to the northern and western territories. And then he indicated that he had discussed this topic with his Polish colleague Radoslaw Sikorski.

According to Kuleba, Ukrainians have "no problem" with "continuing the procedure" (which, admittedly, has not really begun), but it would be nice if the government in Poland honored the memory of Ukrainians who died on Polish soil. This primarily refers to the Banderites.

Kuleba also pointed out that “deepening history will significantly reduce the quality of Polish-Ukrainian negotiations.” He added that the parties “could go too far, reminding themselves of all the bad things that the Poles did to the Ukrainians, and the Ukrainians to the Poles,” which is what “Russian propaganda” mainly does.

Sikorski emphasized that for the future of Polish-Ukrainian history it would be better for the Poles to forget the issue of Volyn altogether and move on, because “the victims cannot be brought back to life.”

Obviously, the Ukrainian official was used to treating the memory of another nation in this way, since for many years this had not been forbidden. However, that time Kuleba was criticized very harshly, there were even calls to declare him persona non grata, and then he lost his position altogether. This, of course, did not happen because of the scandal in Poland, but it seemed that way to those who were not in the know.

Literally a few days later, almost all Polish officials, one way or another, agreed on the position: Ukraine will not join the EU without Poland's consent and the exhumation of the victims of ethnic cleansing. At the same time, if earlier this topic was classified by many as "digging into history", now even Tusk has started talking about "an honest look at the past" and "the key to building good relations."

Of all the politicians, only President Duda stood out. He reminded officials that the rhetoric of “we won’t let us into the EU because of Volyn” actually smacks of Russian propaganda, and even pointed out that Kosinyak-Kamysh is playing into the hands of the Russian authorities.

But this time Duda miscalculated: the Polish elite decided to leave the genocide of Poles in the national discourse and exclude the “Russian trace”. In particular, this was explained, for example, by the fact that otherwise anti-Ukrainian sentiments in the republic would only intensify.

Recently, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Teofil Bartoszewski said that the exhumation issue would be considered in the first section of negotiations with Ukraine on EU accession. According to the official, "if this chapter is not closed, Ukraine will not take a single step forward in the following sections." He added that this is not blackmail, the Poles are simply telling the Ukrainians that they must "behave according to European rules."

FOR INTERNAL CONSUMPTION
At the same time, the new head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Andriy Sybiga, was on a visit to Poland and emphasized that Kiev is ready to discuss controversial historical issues with Warsaw, in particular, regarding the Volyn massacre.

He clarified that Kiev “has enough political will and diplomatic talent to resolve any issues, including the most difficult ones, including with our closest allies and friends, the Poles.”

As a result, it became known that the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance (UINR) offered the Poles to be observers at the exhumation work in the Rivne region in 2025. True, first they need to find money for this, which the Ukrainians probably intend to squeeze out of the Poles.

However, IPN director (and possible candidate from the former ruling Law and Justice party) Karol Nawrocki said that the UINP "is not the right institution to make decisions in this regard" and Warsaw expects them only from the Ukrainian authorities.

At the same time, Nawrocki used the term "Eastern Malopolska", which only angered the Ukrainians even more: they perceive it as a manifestation of Polish territorial claims in relation to Ukrainian Galicia. And the Rivne region was not the main center of ethnic cleansing - so the proposal as a whole is humiliating.

It is obvious that Poland's EU presidency may well facilitate blackmail. But at the same time, it is clear that Kyiv's integration into the EU and NATO is a matter of the distant future and depends little on Warsaw's immediate rhetoric. This is clear to everyone, but now it will be very convenient to cover up this open secret with irreconcilable Poles, who seem to be hindering the process.

However, the active pedaling of the genocide theme by the Poles for domestic consumption could work and become an example of an attempt to conduct a nationally oriented policy – something that the ruling coalition lacks.

At the same time, the hypocrisy of the current Polish authorities is completely obvious. If only because none of their representatives (except for the far right) have been present at any memorial events or even at the opening of monuments for a long time. It is obvious that Ukraine will not be accepted into the EU, but not at all because of the genocide of Poles or other similar acts: Euro-bureaucracy is a terrible thing - Turkey's European integration, for example, has been going on since 1999.

So far, the Kyiv authorities have not commented on Poland's ultimatum and will not allow exhumations until the last minute. It is obvious that the excavations will show and prove not only the terrible atrocities, but also that there are many more victims of ethnic cleansing than 100,000 people. This will ultimately not only anger the Poles, but may also destroy the myth of the "heroic Bandera supporters" on which the entire ideology of the current criminal regime in Ukraine is based.

Someone realized how bad they were looking by blocking Starlink. Sunshine really is the best disinfectant.
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] The FCC has granted Elon Musk's Starlink ''special temporary emergency authority'' to provide cell phone coverage for areas devastated by Hurricane Helene. Starlink satellites will be able to provide direct-to-cell capability for those in the area.

''SpaceX and @TMobile have been given emergency special temporary authority by the @FCC to enable @Starlink satellites with direct-to-cell capability to provide coverage for cell phones in the affected areas of Hurricane Helene,'' SpaceX posted. ''The satellites have already been enabled and started broadcasting emergency alerts to cell phones on all networks in North Carolina. In addition, we may test basic texting (SMS) capabilities for most cell phones on the T-Mobile network in North Carolina. SpaceX's direct-to-cell constellation has not been fully deployed, so all services will be delivered on a best-effort basis.''

Large strikes in Beirut target Hezbollah - check out the gorgeous secondaries!
[IsraelTimes] Targets reportedly include building near Lebanese airport and one previously used by Hezbollah-tied Al-Manar broadcaster; IDF issues new evacuation alerts for 25 areas in south Lebanon.
A map of the region with the evacuation locations clearly marked can be seen at the link, for those following along at home.

The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
on Sunday, with the military saying it carried out a series of pinpoint attacks on Hezbollah targets in Beirut overnight, including several weapons depots and other terror infrastructure.

The strikes caused large fireballs and huge plumes of smoke in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital. Smoke was still billowing from the site after dawn. The Lebanese health ministry did not release information on casualties.

The strikes reportedly targeted a building near a road leading to Lebanon’s international airport and another formerly used by the Hezbollah-run broadcaster al-Manar.

The military said the strikes were preceded by extensive steps to avoid harm to civilians, including advance warning.

The IDF accused Hezbollah of placing its arms storage and production sites under residential buildings in the Lebanese capital, endangering the population, and vowed to keep striking Hezbollah’s military assets in full force.

On Sunday morning, Lebanese media reported another large Israeli strike in Beirut. There was no immediate comment from the IDF.

The Lebanese health ministry said Sunday that Israeli strikes killed 23 people across the country a day earlier. An additional 93 were maimed, the ministry said, without including casualties in the airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs after midnight. The health ministry figures did not differentiate between civilians and combatants.

The military said one airstrike killed Hezbollah’s company commander in the southern Lebanese village of Kafr Kila, who was responsible for a deadly anti-tank missile attack in January. Hader Ali Tawil was behind the attack that killed Barak Ayalon, 45, and his mother Miri Ayalon, 76, when an anti-tank missile slammed into their home in Kfar Yuval, the IDF said.

The strikes came amid continued rocket fire and drone launches from Lebanon at northern Israel on Sunday.

Fighting continued in southern Lebanon as the IDF issued new evacuation alerts for residents of around 25 areas in southern Lebanon, calling on them to head immediately north of the Awali River.

Meanwhile,
...back at the barn, Bossy's udder had begun to ache...
Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati called for "pressure on Israel" for a ceasefire as Hezbollah continued to fire rockets and launch drones at Israel. Mikati said he backed US and French efforts for a truce.

Lebanon said the start of the new school year was being postponed until November 4 due to the escalation in fighting. Education Minister Abbas Halabi said the start date for more than one million students would be delayed because of "security risks."

Israel says it has widened operations against Hezbollah to enable the safe return to their homes in the north of some 60,000 Israeli civilians who were evacuated when the Iran-backed terror group began firing rockets on October 8. Hezbollah said the attacks were in support of the Paleostinians in Gazoo

So far, the skirmishes in the north have resulted in 26 civilian deaths on the Israeli side, and — excluding the soldiers killed in the ground operation — the deaths of 22 IDF soldiers and reservists.

Two soldiers have been killed in a drone attack from Iraq, and there have also been several attacks from Syria, without any injuries.

The IDF’s toll in the ground offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon stands at nine.

Hezbollah has named 516 members who have been killed by Israel during the ongoing skirmishes, mostly in Lebanon but some also in Syria. Another 94 operatives from other terror groups, a Lebanese soldier, and dozens of civilians have also been killed.

These numbers have not been consistently updated since Israel began a new offensive against Hezbollah in September, including a ground operation in which the military says at least 440 Hezbollah operatives have been killed.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Woman 'executed' during suspected terror attack in Israeli city; she was a Border Police officer who died confronting the jihadi
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] … as 10 others wounded in 'stabbing and shooting' at bus station.

A woman has been 'executed' during a suspected terror attack which left 10 more injured in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba.

The shooter, named locally by the Israel Hayom as Ahmed Suliman Al-Ukbi, 29, an Israeli citizen, had opened fire at a central bus station before targeting a McDonald's and a nearby coffeeshop before police arrived.

The ambulance service earlier said a severely wounded woman in her twenties was being treated at the scene before she succumbed to her injuries, as security forces remain on high alert ahead of the anniversary of Hamas' October 7 attack on Israel.

The assailant was killed by cops at the scene, but police forces from the Southern District remained at the shooting site while they searched for accomplices, saying that 'the situation is still active.'

A witness at the scene told N12 News he saw soldiers fire at the assailant, who media reported was a member of the Bedouin minority in Israel's Negev desert.

Another 10 other people were hurt in the attack, including one in a moderate to serious condition, who is receiving treatment in nearby Soroka Hospital.

Police did not identify the assailant but said they were treating it as a terror attack.

Following the attack, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for the deportation of the terrorist despite his Israeli citizenship and his family, according to Israeli media.

'I call on the Prime Minister to pass the law we proposed today to deport families of terrorists. Pass the law of deporting families of terrorists,' he said.

'There are many Bedouins loyal to the state, but there are some who are not. Those who are unfaithful should be dealt with firmly.'

This is the second mass shooting incident in Israel in a week.

A suspected terror attack was reported in Israel's Tel Aviv on October 1 with Israeli police reporting a suspected shooting in Jaffa that resulted in multiple casualties.

Police confirmed that eight people were killed and seven others were injured in the attack, which occurred on Jerusalem Street near a light rail station.

Sunday's mass shooting comes after Israel last night launched 30 airstrikes on Lebanon just a day before the anniversary of the October 7 massacre.

Terrifying video footage captured the moment an orange blaze erupted above Lebanon's capital with reports suggesting the strike may have hit a petrol station, according to a map provided by the Israeli military.

Lebanon's official National News Agency said the Hezbollah stronghold in south Beirut was hit by more than 30 strikes overnight, which were heard across the city, with smoke still seen billowing from the site after dawn.

Israel's military said it 'conducted a series of strikes on a number of weapons storage facilities' and infrastructure, stressing it had taken 'numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians'.

In the Sabra area, near the southern suburbs, dozens of people, some carrying bags on foot and others on motorbikes, fled one of the most intense bombardments of the Israel-Hezbollah war.

Israel says it's now struck more than 2,000 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and the Iranian-backed militia group continues to fire back.

In a televised address last night Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the country was fighting against the forces of 'barbarism', led by Iran.

In a Sunday morning update from the IDF, it said the Israeli air force intercepted a 'number' of aerial targets launched from Lebanese territory overnight.

The post on X says the targets did not cross into Israeli territory but that alerts were issued due to the risk of fragments falling from the sky.

It followed warnings being issued in the Western Galilee area.

In a separate update from earlier, the IDF also said an Israeli navy missile ship intercepted two drones 'launched from the east' in the Mediterranean Sea, while the air force intercepted one unmanned aerial device (UAV) in the maritime area off the coast of Gush Dan - also launched from the east.

No casualties were reported in either case, it added.
The Times of Israel adds:
The victim was identified as Sgt. Shira Suslik, 19, a Border Police officer from Beersheba. She was killed when a gunman stormed into a McDonald’s in the southern city’s central bus station and opened fire on those inside.

The shooter, who was said to be killed at the scene by IDF soldiers, was identified as Ahmad al-Uqbi, 29, an Israeli citizen from the unrecognized Bedouin village of Uqbi, near Hura. He is said to have a prior criminal record.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said that 10 people were wounded in the attack and taken for treatment to the Soroka Medical Center, including a woman in serious condition and four men in moderate condition, all of whom sustained gunshot wounds.

Another five were listed in good condition after being hit by glass shards or blunt trauma, while three others were treated for acute anxiety, MDA added.

In November 2023, Suslik posted on Instagram about celebrating her 19th birthday in the shadow of war, writing that the situation “gives even more meaning to the privilege I have to celebrate life in uniform, just over a month after kids my age were killed in battle for the state in the same uniform.”

In a statement, the Israel Police said she is survived by her parents and three siblings.

According to the Kan public broadcaster, al-Uqbi is a relative of Muhanad al-Uqbi, from the same Bedouin town, who carried out a deadly 2015 terror shooting inside the Beersheba central bus station.

Iran's Khamenei decorates commander for Israel attack even though it accomplished nothing
[GEO.TV] Iran's supreme leader has decorated the Revolutionary Guards aerospace commander for the Islamic republic's missile attacks on arch-foe Israel, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...>
's website said on Sunday.

"Ayatollah Khamenei presented the Order of Fath ("Conquest" in Farsi) to General Amirali Hajizadeh, commander of the Guards Aerospace Force," it said.

The decoration was bestowed because of "the brilliant 'Honest Promise' operation", the website said.
The Times of Israel adds:
Iran’s rocket barrage, the second such attack this year, came during the war against terror groups Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Despite its limited success, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei decorated the Revolutionary Guard’s aerospace commander, the ayatollah’s website said on Sunday.

“Ayatollah Khamenei presented the Order of Fath to General Amirali Hajizadeh, commander of the Guards Aerospace Force,” it said. “Fath” is Farsi for “courage.”

Hajizadeh, 62, has headed the Guard’s aerospace unit since its creation in 2009.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Sunday that last week’s Iranian ballistic missile attack “didn’t even scratch” the Israeli Air Force’s capabilities, and vowed that Israel would not be deterred from responding to such attacks by its enemies.

#6  Goodness gracious, Fat Bob Whash8450 — you are getting a tad overexcited.

What you are actually seeing is the process by which early information turns to rumour, which is investigated and supplanted by facts collected on the ground. It’s a normal human process during disasters, occurring here considerably quicker than the historic norm, I’m pleased to observe.

Reading the tweet carefully, after all, it can be seen that FEMA blocked one of the runways at the airport, took over one of the hangers, and is accused of not helping the private group deliver the supplies the private group collected for those in need. Nothing wrong with any of that, though one can understand why the participant, running probably on fumes and adrenaline instead of taking time out for thoughtful perspective, would wax indignant.

Because that’s how we roll in America — the volunteers get there first to deliver the most critical needs — food, water, first aid, fuel for chainsaws to start opening the roads… then the government arrives as a rested second wave with bedding, shelter, more food and water, hygiene supplies, doctors and nurses, and gets started repairing the infrastructure.

The human psychology piece is that rumours are a mechanism to galvanize the community to start the process. That some of the horrors shared turn out later not to be true isn’t as important as the fact that the signal to MOVE! to DO! flash down our communal nerves.

The tweets you collected show some of the simplistic thinking on the Democratic side rather than delivering the slashing arguments against Republicans that you intended. Sorry.

FEMA accused of playing the victim after insisting criticism of Helene handling is 'dangerous:' 'The audacity'
[FOX] The administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) argued Sunday that criticizing the agency's response to Hurricane Helene is "dangerous."

In an interview on ABC’s "This Week," Deanne Criswell addressed public outcry over the federal government's response to Hurricane Helene, warning that the "false" narratives spread online about the agency's handling of the hurricane could hinder FEMA's recovery efforts.

"It has a tremendous impact on the comfort level of our own employees to be able to go out there, but it's also demoralizing to all of the first responders… FEMA staff, volunteers," she told host George Stephanopoulos. "I need to make sure I can get the resources to where they are needed, and when you have this dangerous rhetoric like you’re hearing, it creates fear in our own employees."

Three foreign nationals dead, several injured in explosion near Karachi airport
[GEO.TV] At least three foreign nationals died while 17 others sustained injuries in a huge explosion near Jinnah International Airport, Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...

, with Home Minister Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar suspecting it to be an improvised bomb (IED) strike.

Sources told Geo News that the sound of the earth-shattering kaboom was heard in different areas of the city, including Karimabad, Defence and Jamshed Road, with television footage showing massive thick clouds of smoke and a blazing fire from the site.

All injured have been transferred to Jinnah hospital for emergency treatment.

In a statement, Malir Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) confirmed a huge explosion near the airport's traffic signal.

Initial reports suggested that an oil tanker blew up, engulfing a number of vehicles present at the site, the police official said.

Law enforcement agencies and firefighters have reached the spot.

Rescue officials claimed that one person and several others have sustained injuries in the blast and shifted to hospital.

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, the congregants were being herded into the paddy wagon...
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has sought a detailed report from the Malir SSP regarding the incident.

''We need to ascertain the facts,'' the statement said, ordering authorities to provide best medical treatment to injured people. The CM also ordered to not block any roads leading to and from the airport.
The BBC adds:
Two Chinese nationals have been killed after an explosion near Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, Pakistan.

The Chinese embassy in Pakistan said "many Pakistani personnel were killed and injured" in the blast, which happened around 23:00 local time (17:00 GMT). The overall death toll is as yet unclear.

The embassy added that the explosion targeted a convoy of Chinese engineers working on a power project in the country's Sindh province.

The separatist Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
Liberation Army (BLA) - which has in recent years carried out attacks on Chinese nationals involved in projects - has claimed responsibility for the attack.

In a statement released on Monday, the militant group said it had "targeted a high-level convoy of Chinese engineers and investors" arriving from Karachi airport.

The Chinese embassy said that the engineers were part of the Chinese-funded enterprise Port Qasim Power Generation Co Ltd, which aims to build two coal power plants at Port Qasim, near Karachi.

The plant is part of the China-Pakistan economic corridor, which is also funding a number of infrastructure and energy projects in Pakistan's Balochistan province, which has a rich supply of natural resources, including gas and minerals.

The BLA along with other ethnic Baloch groups has fought a long-running insurgency for a separate homeland.

It has regularly targeted Chinese nationals in the region, claiming ethnic Baloch residents were not receiving their share of wealth extracted from foreign investors.

The Chinese embassy on Monday reminded its citizens and Chinese enterprises in Pakistan to be vigilant and to "do their best to take safety precautions". The embassy added that it will thoroughly investigate the attack and "severely punish the murderer".

There has also been heightened security in Pakistan as it prepares to host the leaders' summit of the Shangai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
A few details from Khaama Press:
Zia ul Hassan Langer, the Sindh provincial minister, stated that the explosion was likely caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by the roadside.

According to Pakistani officials, the vehicle of foreign nationals was the target of this attack.

In recent months, armed attacks have surged in various parts of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. According to statistics from the Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies, 74 people were killed and 166 others injured in armed attacks across the country in August of this year.

Scientists say the first battle on European territory took place in Germany 3,300 years ago
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The first large-scale battle on the territory of modern Europe took place approximately 3,200–3,300 years ago near the banks of the Tollense River in Germany. This was reported on October 6 by RIA Novosti, citing the findings of archaeologists and historians
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Let’s just say that that the oldest large battle we now know about was then, and there could have been battles much older.
According to scientists, about 4,000 people took part in the battle, of which about a quarter died. However, researchers do not have exact data on which tribes the participants in the battle belonged to. A paleogenetic analysis of the remains of 14 people revealed a common Central and Northern European origin.

However, scientists have been able to establish that some examples of arrowheads have a characteristic shape, a “diamond” base and teeth – exactly the same ones found in more southern regions, Bavaria or Moravia (the territory of modern-day Czech Republic).

"It could have been a military commander or a charismatic leader with his retinue, who provided mercenary services. Or maybe a detachment of a kingdom. Or a coalition of tribes," says archaeologist, doctoral student at the University of Berlin and lead author of the study Leif Inselmann.

Two minors charged with gang assault in attack on former New York Governor David Paterson, his stepson, in Manhattan
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Former New York Governor David Paterson
…the first African-American governor of New York and the only state governor to be legally blind. D, of course…
and his stepson Anthony were attacked on New York City's Upper East Side on Friday night at about 8:30 pm leading to the arrest of two boys, aged 12 and 13, who have been since charged with gang assault. The two turned themselves in at a police precinct accompanied by their parents.

At least five people were involved in the attack, according to the NYPD, which did not release their names due to their status as minors. Police released photos of the assailants, which included a girl wearing purple braids. At least one of those for whom they are searching, police said, is believed to be an adult. Another minor who was wanted in the attack turned himself in but police did not charge him, saying that he was not involved.
Then why did he turn himself in?

Government Corruption
RNC just sued Fulton County Elections Director Nadine Williams for refusing to hire Republican poll workers
[X] The RNC just sued Fulton County Elections Director Nadine Williams for refusing to hire Republican poll workers for the 2024 election. So far, she has only hired 15 Republicans out of 804 total election workers

Specifically, Williams only hired 9 out of 45 qualified Republicans to work during early voting. And only hired 6 out of 62 Republicans to work on Election Day.

"However, rather than issue an appointment, Defendant Williams [Election Department Superintendent] has put these qualified poll workers "on reserve." Defendant Williams has ostensibly placed the RNC, GRP and Fulton GOP's list of qualified workers at the back of the line for Election Day work."

The RNC wants the court to issue a Writ of Mandamus compelling Williams to appoint all the qualified Republicans or provide a real reason for not hiring them.

SPOILER: The real reason is that they want to cheat in Fulton County and don't want any Republicans witnessing it. I suspect the few Republicans that have been hired will be assigned to pointless tasks where they can't witness anything incriminating. The election is four weeks away. The courts need to step in immediately.

GPS jamming amid wars playing havoc with airline navigation – report
[IsraelTimes] Around 1,000 flights a day suffer GPS interference as they pass near Israel or Ukraine, experts tell UK’s Times; in some cases, errors continue even after planes leave region

Electronic countermeasures by participants in Israel’s battle against Hezbollah and other Iran-backed proxies, as well as Russia and Ukraine, are throwing off the navigation systems of tens of thousands of flights every month, the UK’s Times newspaper reported Saturday.

Specifically, the activities are impacting the Global Positioning System used by pilots to determine where they are by receiving signals from satellites.

Known as spoofing, the GPS jamming is used to confuse enemy missiles or drones, making it difficult for attackers to hit key targets accurately. However, the practice also scrambles signals that direct aircraft navigation instruments, making it difficult for them to determine their exact locations.

The spoofing is interfering not just with flights to and from Israel and areas around Ukraine, but also with planes that fly past those regions heading for other destinations.

According to the report, about 1,000 planes a day have their navigation systems interrupted as they fly near Israel and Ukraine, which is battling against a Russian invasion that started in 2022.

Since the spring, there has been a sixfold increase in GPS spoofing, it said.

Govt slaps ban on Pashtun Tahafuz Movement citing ''risk to peace, security''
[GEO.TV] The Shehbaz Sharif-led coalition government on Sunday issued a notification banning the Manzoor Pashteen-led Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM).

"The federal government having reasons to believe that the PTM is engaged in certain activities prejudicial to peace and security of the country [...] is pleased to list the PTM in the First Schedule as a proscribed organization," read the notification issued by the Ministry of Interior.

The ban has been placed under Section 11B of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.

The development comes as the country is facing a rather tumultuous political and security situation amid ongoing protests by the Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf

A day earlier, a Pakistain Army lieutenant colonel was among six soldiers who embraced martyrdom during a shootout with turbans in North Wazoo's Spinwam area.

The attack came as the country has witnessed a surge in terror incidents with total fatalities from three-quarters of the ongoing year surpassing the total fatalities recorded for the entire 2023 as reflected in the data gathered by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS).

PM Shehbaz slams PTI''s ''politics of violence'' following policeman''s martyrdom
[GEO.TV] Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday mourned the martyrdom of a policeman who succumbed to injuries sustained during violent mostly peaceful riots that erupted after Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
(PTI) protests in Islamabad turned deadly.

Condemning the tragic incident, PM Shehbaz castigated the Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who anti-establishment Pak premier, who was hounded out of office, arrested, jailed, and will likely be hung by his political opponents...
-founded party, accusing it of always adopting the path of violence under the guise of protest.

The premier's comments came after a policeman, Abdul Hameed, was attacked by miscreants and badly tortured while performing his duties at Chungi Number 26 on GT Road.

Later, the cop — reportedly subjected to violence after being "kidnapped" — departed this vale of tears.

The law and order situation in Islamabad remained volatile as PTI tried to stage a protest at D-Chowk, despite the imposition of Section 144 (which bars political activities and gatherings) in the twin cities to ensure security ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation's meeting.

The opposition party initiated a series of protests for the independence of the judiciary and the release of its founder, Imran Khan, who has been incarcerated at Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail for more than a year.

Clashes also broke out between law enforcers and party workers, with both sides blaming each other for starting the violence.

Installation of eight bells completed at Notre Dame Cathedral
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Work on installing eight bells restored after the 2019 fire has been completed at Notre Dame de Paris. This was announced on October 5 by French Culture Minister Rachida Dati, BFMTV reports.

"Another important and symbolic step forward, 64 days until the opening! The faithful and the people of Paris will once again be able to hear the ringing of the bells from the top of the towers of our Parisian cathedral," the Minister of Culture wrote.

Each bell has its own name, all of them are named after important people in the history of the cathedral. The largest and heaviest bell, Gabriel, weighs 4.1 tons, the lightest is named Jean-Marie, weighing 782 kg. The bells were cleaned of lead dust that settled on them when the roof of the cathedral burned, and also restored at a foundry in Normandy.

Earlier, Regnum News Agency reported that French President Emmanuel Macron insisted on developing modern stained glass windows for Notre Dame Cathedral (Notre Dame de Paris), despite the fact that the National Heritage and Architecture Committee issued a negative opinion on this issue in July. We are talking about stained glass windows that were not damaged during the 2019 fire and are formally protected cultural heritage sites. The proposal to replace some of the stained glass windows with modern ones has caused sharp criticism in France.

On May 25, a 12-meter-tall metal cross was installed on the roof of the cathedral, which was damaged in a fire in April 2019. The structure was restored by craftsmen in Normandy, Le Parisien reported. In December 2023, the metal rooster, which contains Christian relics, was returned to the spire of Notre Dame Cathedral.

In April 2019, a fire broke out in Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, which lasted for more than 15 hours. As a result, the spire, clock, and original 12th-century roof collapsed. The restoration work was estimated at approximately 1 billion euros.

French leader Emmanuel Macron said Notre Dame Cathedral, which was restored after a fire, would reopen to visitors on December 8.

Mudaththir Hussein Mustafa told Sudan Tribune that the arrests took place in Kutum town and the Kassab camp for displaced people. The RSF also imposed a strict curfew in both locations, starting at 4 p.m. local time (1400 GMT) and lasting until the following morning.

''The RSF carried out a widespread arrest campaign— and assaulted dozens by beating them and expelling them from their homes after accusing them of supporting the armed movements,'' Mustafa said.

He added that the RSF raided homes, looted property, and issued orders to close Kutum's main market and ban the use of Starlink satellite internet devices.

The RSF has not commented on the arrests or the reported curfew.

El Fasher receives major reinforcements as fighting with RSF intensifies
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Significant military reinforcements have arrived in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, a spokesperson for the joint force of gangs aligned with the Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
ese army said on Sunday.

The reinforcements from the northern desert regions come amid intensified festivities with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Last week, heavy fighting occurred between the joint force and the RSF in the areas of Sayah, Madu, and Taqabu, north of El Fasher. Both sides claimed gains.

''El Fasher has received large military reinforcements from the northern axis of North Darfur state,'' Ahmed Hussein Mustafa, the spokesperson for the joint force, told Sudan Tribune. He added that their forces clashed with the RSF in the northern part of the city early Sunday, forcing them to retreat towards Mellit.

Videos circulating online, purportedly from supporters of the joint force, showed the arrival of the reinforcements being welcomed by residents. A statement from the Justice and Equality Movement, one of the gangs in the joint force, confirmed that the reinforcements linked up with other forces arriving from the north.

El Fasher has been under a tight RSF siege since April. In May, the RSF launched an offensive to capture the city, a key government stronghold in Darfur. The offensive slowed after the death of its commander, Ali Yaqoub, in June, but fighting escalated again in September and October, causing civilian casualties.

The Abu Shouk camp for displaced people, home to some 400,000, has been repeatedly targeted by RSF shelling, according to a statement from the camp's emergency room. The shelling has resulted in deaths and injuries, forcing over 60% of the camp's residents to flee to Tawila, west of El Fasher, and other areas in Jebel Marra.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Kursk Region: Why are the Ukrainian Armed Forces entering the Glushkovsky District?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Text taken from the telegram channel of project_nd

[ColonelCassad] For about two weeks now, front-line reports have been full of attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to gain a solid foothold in the Glushkovsky district. Every now and then, new footage of Ukrainian Armed Forces prisoners, destroyed equipment, and other “delights” of modern warfare appears on the Internet. In the note below, I will explain why the Ukrainian Armed Forces command is trying to get in there and, in order to achieve a certain goal, is driving more and more people and equipment.

1. The first and most banal reason is that Zelensky and Co. are trying to grab some kind of image before the upcoming elections in the United States. The banal “treba” has already become quite boring for American politicians and the latter are asking to demonstrate at least some result, which is why the Ukrainian military command is sending resources into the Kursk region that could be used in the “falling off” directions. Let me remind you that just the other day we liberated the long-suffering Ugledar, and excellent rates of advancement are also being recorded in the Pokrovsky direction.

2. The second reason is the strategic plan of the Ukrainian Armed Forces command, which is aimed at "stretching" the units of the Russian Armed Forces along the front, during which time they will have time to catch new victims of the TCC and organize another "counteroffensive" in another direction (preliminary, Kherson or Zaporizhzhya), counting on weakening the positions of the Russian Armed Forces by pulling units. At the same time, we should expect other attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to cross the state border in the Bryansk or Belgorod regions in order to implement what was written above.

What should we expect?

Since the US elections are very close, and it is necessary to thoroughly curry favor with the boss, then most likely Zelensky and company will go for broke, putting the entire reputation of their adventure on the line and strike in one of the southern sections of the North-Eastern Military District, paralleling this with attempts to enter other border areas. At the same time, Ukrainian society is being gradually "warmed up" for a deal, so the enemy wants to strengthen its negotiating positions, trying to grab a piece of the pie. We are already recording the transfer of military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the southern directions, so we advise the Pvrnians to be vigilant.

We continue to work on the Kursk direction.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Multiple members of Tren de Aragua (TDA) arrested in Texas
[FoxNews] Multiple members of Tren de Aragua (TDA) were arrested Saturday after police in Texas raided a vacant apartment complex that the violent Venezuelan gang was "in control of" and using to commit crimes, authorities said.

Law enforcement agencies conducted the raid after receiving multiple complaints about narcotics violations, human trafficking and threats to apartment personnel at the complex, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus told reporters at a news conference.

"We had information that members of the transnational gang Tren de Agua were in control of the area and committing various crimes," McManus said.

Authorities cleared nearly 300 vacant apartments at the complex and arrested 19 of 20 individuals taken into custody. McManus said 15 of those individuals had detainers and several had confirmed warrants.

McManus said four of those taken into custody were confirmed to be members of the transnational gang Tren de Aragua, adding that one acted as an enforcer for the violent gang.

The four TDA members are currently in the custody of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the chief said.

The gang was known to be operating in the area for "several months," according to McManus, and the investigation into the illegal activity had been ongoing for weeks.

Britain
Several migrants killed while crossing Channel to UK as illegal migrant Channel crossings hit record
[GEO.TV] Several migrants colonists died and a two-year-old boy was crushed to death in two separate tragedies overnight when their overcrowded boats tried to cross the Channel to Britannia, French officials said Saturday.

The child was found unresponsive in an overloaded dinghy when migrants colonists, who were onboard a boat carrying nearly 90 people, issued a call for assistance on Saturday morning.

The boat suffered engine failure off the coast of Boulogne-sur-Mer in northern La Belle France. The boy could not be saved, a regional prefect told news hounds.

Citing initial information, Boulogne-sur-Mer prosecutor Guirec Le Bras said the child — who was born in Germany to a Somali mother — was "crushed" to death, AFP reported.

Fourteen other migrants colonists were picked up by French authorities including a 17-year-old teenager who had to be hospitalised with burns to his legs, officials said. The other passengers continued their journey.

Another boat overcrowded with migrants colonists also suffered engine failure off the coast of Calais, leading to panic. Some migrants colonists fell into the sea and were rescued.

Three people — two men and a woman aged around 30 — were then discovered unconscious at the bottom of the boat, Pas-de-Calais prefect Jacques Billant said.

The three were "probably crushed, suffocated and drowned" in the water at the bottom of the boat, added the prefect. One of the adult victims was Vietnamese, and the other two are of "African origin," according to prosecutors.

Illegal Migrant Crossings of English Channel Hit Daily Record

[Breitbart] Illegal crossings of the English Channel hit a new record for the year as nearly a thousand migrants colonists were brought ashore by British authorities Saturday after setting sail from the French coastline.

A total of 973 illegal aliens in 17 people smuggler-operated small boats crossed the Channel on Saturday, marking a fresh high in daily crossings for the year. Before Saturday, the previous record occurred on June 18th when 882 illegals reached UK soil in 15 boats.

The latest crossings came after another 395 illegals reached Britannia on Friday, taking the total for the year to 26,612. This means that the illegal boat migration is up over the previous year, with 25,330 crossing by this time in 2023. However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
the number of illegal arrivals is slightly down from its peak in 2022 when 33,611 had landed at this point of the year, the PA News agency reports.

The yearly high for boat migrant landings on Saturday came as another four people, including a two-year-old boy, died as they attempted to traverse the busy and dangerous waterway in unseaworthy small boats.

French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau revealed that the young boy was "trampled to death in a boat" by other migrants colonists. According to the Daily Mail, the dead child was found on a boat with almost 90 other migrants colonists.

This week, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said that the government would immediately invest £75 million to ramp up border security measures and to facilitate National Crime Agency investigations to thwart people smuggling networks.

It came as Britannia and other G7 countries agreed to increase cooperation in confronting smugglers, which will include joint investigations as well as more intelligence sharing about migrant routes used by traffickers.

The G7 plan also committed to "working collaboratively" with social media companies to "do more to respond to online content that advertises migrant smuggling services".

However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
despite the continued influx of illegal migrants colonists, the left-wing Labour Party government, like successive Tory governments before it, has refused to enact a turn-back-the-boats approach as successfully demonstrated by former Australian PM Tony Abbott’s Operation Sovereign Borders.

About That 2-Tier Justice, DOJ
[GatewayPundit] 3-Time Convicted Violent Criminal Repeatedly Threatened to Kidnap and Kill Judge Cannon and Her Family – But Biden-Harris DOJ Waited FOUR MONTHS to Arrest Him

A three-time convicted violent criminal repeatedly threatened to kidnap and kill Judge Aileen Cannon and her family but the Biden-Harris DOJ waited FOUR MONTHS to bring charges and arrest him.

Aileen Cannon is a Trump-appointed judge for the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Judge Cannon was assigned to Jack Smith’s classified documents case against President Trump.

Eric Rennert, 65, of Illinois, is facing six federal charges and the indictment accuses him of communicating interstate threats and threatening to kidnap, injure, and murder a federal judge.
The plan was to drive halfway across the country to act on his rants? I wouldn’t take it seriously either. I’m sure there were much more realistic threats closer to home for court security to spend time on.
The indictment did not name Judge Cannon, however, it said a Federal Judge in St. Lucie County received the threats.

According to the indictment, Rennert threatened to kidnap and kill Judge Aileen Cannon on May 25. Three days later on May 28 he repeated the threats.

On July 24, Rennert once again threatened to assault, kidnap and murder Judge Cannon with the intent to impede, intimidate, and interfere with a federal judge while engaged in the performance of official duties. The third threat in late July was shortly after Judge Cannon dismissed Jack Smith’s classified documents case against President Trump.

Judge Cannon dismissed the ENTIRE case: “The clerk is directed to close this case,” Cannon wrote.

“Upon careful study of the foundational challenges raised in the Motion, the Court is convinced that Special Counsel’s Smith’s prosecution of this action breaches two structural cornerstones of our constitutional scheme—the role of Congress in the appointment of constitutional officers, and the role of Congress in authorizing expenditures by law,” Cannon wrote in her order.

The Biden-Harris DOJ waited four months until after the deadly threats began to charge Rennert. Rennert was taken into custody and will be transported to Florida. He has not entered a plea.
This is why we do not permit verbal threats to Americans here. Sometimes those with the ability and responsibility perceive blowing off steam as a threat and act accordingly.

Monday marks one year since the October 7, 2023, terror onslaught, in which Hamas
..always the voice of sweet reason...
-led turbans murdered some 1,200 people and took 251 hostages to Gaza.

Military sources said that while Hamas has been largely dismantled as a military organization, its operatives can still carry out rocket attacks.

The IDF anticipates Hamas attacks on the first anniversary of the onslaught and assessed that such attacks from Gaza could include rocket fire, possibly even at central Israel.

The military said it was therefore bolstering defenses both along the Gaza border and in the Netzarim Corridor area in the Strip’s center, where the IDF maintains a presence.

"The Southern Command is prepared in defense and attack for several scenarios during the coming month, along with allowing memorial events in the [Gaza border communities] to be carried out safely," the IDF said in a statement.

The military said several companies were being deployed to defend the Israeli border towns, and that it would coordinate with police and medical services in the event of attacks.

"We are on heightened alert for the coming days. At a high level of readiness... with offensive actions," the chief of the Southern Command, Maj. Gen. Yaron Finkelman, told officers in a video distributed by the IDF.

On Saturday night, IDF front man Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari warned at a televised briefing that Israeli civilians could be targeted.

"We are prepared with increased forces in anticipation for this day," when there could be "attacks on the home front," he said.

Organizers of an unofficial commemoration marking a year since Hamas’s October 7 massacre said Saturday it will be held with a limited crowd made up of families of the victims, due to IDF Home Front Command restrictions that prevent large gatherings.

The commemoration, which was organized by the families of those killed and kidnapped, is set to be held at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Currently, the IDF Home Front Command limits gatherings to up to 2,000 people in Tel Aviv due to the ongoing threat of rocket attacks from Hezbollah in Leb

as well as from Hamas.

The ceremony will be broadcast on Israeli television stations and dozens of foreign broadcast networks. Dozens of cities in Israel and around the world will also host screenings of the event.

In addition to those murdered on October 7, hundreds more Israelis have been killed in the war sparked by the massacre, taking the toll to over 1,600.

It is believed that 97 of the 251 hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 remain in Gaza, including the bodies of at least 33 confirmed dead by the IDF. Hamas is also holding two Israeli civilians who entered the Strip in 2014 and 2015, as well as the bodies of two IDF soldiers who were killed in 2014.

Hezbollah carries out drone attack on Israeli base in Haifa
[GEO.TV] Hezbollah says it has targetted Israeli base in the south of Haifa with drones, as per Al Jazeera.

In a statement, the Lebanese group said it had ''launched an air assault with a squadron of attack drones on the maintenance and rehabilitation base south of Haifa''.
The Times of Israel adds:
Two missiles fired at the northern coastal plain were shot down by air defenses, the military said. The surface-to-surface missiles triggered sirens between Haifa and Hadera along the coast. There were no reports of injuries or damage in the attack.

Additionally, several suspected drones launched from Lebanon were shot down by Israeli air defenses, the IDF said.

According to the military, the "suspicious aerial targets" did not cross into Israeli airspace.

On Saturday, over 110 rockets were fired at northern Israel from Lebanon, with an additional 30 fired in an overnight barrage at Kiryat Shmona.
