4 drones launched from Iraq
[IsraelTimes] The Israel Defense Forces said air defenses shot down four drones that were launched toward Israel overnight “from the east” — code for Iraq.

The military said two of the UAVs were intercepted before they reached Israeli territory.

The Iran-backed Islamic Resistance in Iraq took responsibility for launching the drones at Israel. The coalition of pro-Iran factions said it launched the UAVs at “vital targets” in northern and southern Israel.

Israel has been attacked by Iraq’s Islamic Resistance in Iraq repeatedly over the past year.

Last month, two soldiers were killed and 24 injured in a drone attack from Iraq. According to an IDF probe, two explosive-laden drones were launched from Iraq in the attack, one of which was shot down by air defenses while the second impacted an army base in the northern Golan Heights.

7 hurt as Hezbollah shells north; Sa’ar says ‘certain progress’ made on ceasefire
[IsraelTimes] Some 190 rockets and drones fired at northern towns; toddler among wounded in Bi’ina; Hezbollah official says terror group has not received official truce proposal

Seven people were maimed Monday, including a toddler, as some 190 rockets were fired at northern Israel by Hezbollah, as Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said there had been "certain progress" toward a ceasefire in Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
A 27-year-old woman was moderately injured and a 35-year-old man and a 1-year-old girl were in good condition after they were hit by shrapnel following a rocket impact in the northern Arab town of Bi’ina just after noon. All three were taken by paramedics to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, some 50 rockets were fired at the Galilee in the attack, some of which were intercepted by air defenses, while several rockets struck the Karmiel area and nearby towns. Hezbollah took responsibility for the barrage, claiming to have targeted "a training base for the Paratroopers Brigade in the Karmiel settlement."

A short time later, the IDF said a drone launched from Lebanon was intercepted by air defenses over the northern kibbutz of Malkia. Earlier another drone from Lebanon crashed in an open area near the Western Galilee town of Liman, sparking a small brush fire.

In the afternoon, Hezbollah launched around 90 rockets in two barrages at Haifa, in one of the largest rocket attacks on the port city amid the fighting.

In the first barrage of 80 rockets, the IDF said that most were shot down by air defenses, but several struck inside towns. The second barrage consisted of 10 rockets, all of which the IDF said were either intercepted or hit open areas.

Damage was caused to homes and cars in Kiryat Ata, a Haifa suburb, and four people were maimed, including a 52-year-old who was listed in moderate condition after being hit in the back by shrapnel. A teenager and an elderly man were slightly hurt by glass shards, and another man, 55, was hurt when he fell while running to a shelter, Magen David Adom said.

A short while after the attack on Haifa, the IDF said a Hezbollah rocket launcher used in the attack was destroyed in a dronezap.

Other towns and communities in the north were also targeted with rocket fire throughout the day. The attacks came as the IDF continued its campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, which aims to allow some 60,000 northern residents to return safely to their homes after being displaced by near-daily attacks since Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
’s October 7, 2023, terror onslaught.

Despite the ongoing attacks, Sa’ar told news hounds in Jerusalem that there has been some movement toward a ceasefire with Hezbollah.

"There is certain progress," Saar said in response to a question about a possible ceasefire. "We are working with the Americans on the issue," he added.

"We will agree to it if we know, first of all, that Hezbollah is not on our border, is north of the Litani River, and that Hezbollah will not be able to arm itself again with new weapons systems," he said.

Later Monday, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel, "We are now talking to the US about letters to anchor our ability and legitimacy to operate against any threat from Lebanon."

Israel is demanding a side letter from the US that includes guarantees from Washington that Israel will be allowed to take military action in Lebanon against Hezbollah if the terror group manages to re-establish its military presence along the border. The sides have made progress in drafting the letter, a US official told Axios, but it risks opposition from Hezbollah, which has asserted that it won’t accept any deal that allows Israel to resume its military actions in Lebanon.

"If there are any attempts to fire at us, to build up their military, to bring in weapons through Syria, we will act," promised the Israeli official to The Times of Israel.

"We want to see Hezbollah north of the Litani [River], we want to see the Lebanese army in southern Lebanon, we want to see a stop to the flow of weapons through Syria," continues the official, repeating long-standing Israeli demands.

The official confirmed that an Israeli delegation was in Moscow recently to discuss Russia’s role in ensuring that weapons don’t reach Hezbollah through Syria. Russia is a major player in Syria, and its cooperation in a diplomatic arrangement to end fighting between Israel and Hezbollah could be an important part of a deal that keeps the Iran-backed group from rearming.

Israel expects a ceasefire to be reached during the remaining weeks of the Biden administration, said the Israeli official, but that "also depends on the Lebanese side."

"We have a plan to expand our operations if Lebanon says no," the Israeli official warned.

Meanwhile,
...back at the chili cook-off, Chuck and Manuel's rivalry was entering a new and more dangerous phase...
Hezbollah front man Mohammed Afif said that the terror group had not received any official ceasefire proposal. Asked about ceasefire prospects, Afif said that since the election of Donald Trump
...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down...
last week to the United States presidency, there were "contacts between Washington, Moscow, Tehran and other capitals."

"I believe that we are still in the phase of testing the waters and presenting initial ideas and proactive discussions, but so far there is nothing actual yet," he added.

But he said, "According to my information nothing official has reached Hezbollah or the Lebanese state."

US officials have said they will make a final push to reach deals in the conflicts in Lebanon and Gazoo

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, although it is unclear how much leverage they have over Israel and other regional actors now that US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family...
is a lame duck.

Also on Monday, Lebanese media outlets reported that some 30 people have been killed in an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
on a building in the northern Lebanon village of Ain Yaaqoub, in the Akkar Governorate.

There was no immediate comment from the IDF.

The location of the strike was unusual. The vast majority of Israeli strikes in Lebanon have been limited to the south of the country, the Beqaa Valley, and Beirut.

The conflict along the Blue Line escalated significantly this past September when Israel, after 11 months of Hezbollah cross-border fire, carried out a wave of heavy airstrikes that killed Hezbollah leader His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The late, lamented satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...>
and most of his top commanders.

It then launched a ground invasion into southern Lebanon, aiming to push Hezbollah away from the border so that tens of thousands of Israelis evacuated from their homes in northern Israel can safely return.

Why There Wasn’t as Much Democratic Cheating This Year in Battleground States
[Townhall] Conservatives heaved a sigh of relief when Donald Trump was announced the winner of the presidential election, since most believed the left was going to cheat and steal the election again from him. While there was almost certainly cheating in the U.S. Senate race in Arizona between Kari Lake and no-name, open borders Ruben Gallego, as well as with Arizona’s abortion-till-birth Prop. 139, Trump was allowed to win the state and the six other battleground states.

The common wisdom developing is the massive increase in observers watching this election compared to the 2020 and 2022 elections made the difference. Combined with the huge GOTV effort led by Turning Point USA and the GOP, the left was under far more scrutiny and risked being caught due to how much vote padding they would need in order to catch Trump.

Additionally, the courts began revealing they were less likely to rubber stamp the fraud. One of the biggest dominoes was the Arizona Supreme Court unanimously ruling earlier this year that attorneys cannot be disciplined for bringing election challenges. As a direct result of that, the State Bar of Arizona’s disciplinary judge dismissed disciplinary proceedings against two of Lake’s attorneys, citing the fact she would be reversed by the court otherwise.

The next biggest domino to fall was the Supreme Court accepting certiorari on a lawsuit just days before the election and ruling in favor of Republicans.

Based on the few cheaters around the country who have been caught and actually prosecuted since 2020, it’s become clear they fit a pattern. Power players on the left encourage criminals who aren’t necessarily very bright to do the dirty work. They choose thugs since they’re far more likely to agree to commit crimes, and prey on less intelligent people since they don’t fully understand the ramifications of getting caught and prosecuted. Much of the cheating is organized by progressive nonprofits.

Former Maricopa County Elections temporary worker and progressive activist Walter Ringfield, who was caught on video stealing a key FOB earlier this year that would have reprogrammed all 140 voting machine tabulators in Maricopa County on Election Day according to Maricopa County Supervisor Bill Gates, is a classic example. He was on probation for a felony and should have never been hired. According to his father, who has raised no money for him yet with a GoFundMe, Ringfield suffered an accident a few years ago which affected his brain.

In Arizona, the left targeted Lake’s race because they thought due to a few noisy voters supposedly on the right stating on social media that they didn’t like Lake, the public would buy that approximately 150,000 more Arizona voters cast ballots for Trump but not Lake. Lake allegedly performed terribly in Maricopa County — but Maricopa County is one of the reddest parts of the state, with 7% more registered Republicans than Democrats, which has increased since 2020. It made no sense that the county trended more Democrat than in 2020 unlike most of the other counties.

Some of the cheating in that race looks so bad the left may not get away with it. The no-name Green Party Senate candidate, Eduardo Quintana, supposedly received over 400% more votes than the Green Party presidential candidate, well-known Jill Stein. In the primary, Quintana and his two opponents received a total of about 575 votes. Yet we’re supposed to believe Quintana, who has only 342 followers on X, received over 63,000 votes in the general election.

Similarly, Arizona’s abortion-till-birth Prop. 139 passed with a huge 63 percent supposedly voting yes. This was strange considering Republicans and their ballot measures swept most of the state, including the far reaching Secure the Border Prop. 314 passing with 61 percent support. The reason Democrats thought they could get away with cheating on Prop. 139 is because of the spin they’ve used about abortion in recent years — they claim that adverse abortion laws and court decisions drive moderate and independent women out to vote for abortion who wouldn’t otherwise vote.

I’ve never seen any real evidence proving this; in fact, the evidence goes the other way. Rasmussen Reports conducted an exit poll after the 2022 election in Arizona, which Lake allegedly lost, and found that she really won by 8 points over Democrat Katie Hobbs for governor. Considering this was a few months after Roe v. Wade was reversed, this is evidence women weren’t driven to go vote for abortion.

Since there was massive fraud involved getting Prop. 139 on the ballot, it’s not much of a stretch that supporters would commit fraud during the election.

Some believe there were a few other races around the country affected by fraud. They include down-ballot races in North Carolina with associated shenanigans, down-ballot races in Michigan, and three other Senate races in battleground states that Trump won. While the entire country shifted a few points to the right, the battleground states unrealistically only shifted about 1 to 3 points to the right.

The blue states have been accused of election fraud going back years, but since it’s been completely mastered in those states, they no longer get much scrutiny.

The concern now is that Democrats will pull some last minute shenanigans to prevent Trump from taking office. The main method I’m hearing is they are still trying to secure wins in a few congressional races in order to gain control of the House of Representatives. If successful, they could invoke the Constitution’s insurrection clause against Trump.
No longer possible since the Republicans got a majority in the House.

#2  Kari Lake had some big negatives after her denunciation of McCain Republicans. She walked back the denunciations but it didn't seem sincere.

She similarly went from hard pro life to a soft pro choice position.

#3  Cheating is limited to the number of registrations in counties where the Dems have an iron hold. Cheating in a county where 15% of the black vote is going for Trump is also problematic. There can’t be whistle blowers or the scam threatens the entirety of 2020.

Five IRGC members killed in southeast Iran
[Rudaw] At least five Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Basij members were killed on Sunday in Iran’s southeastern restive province of Sistan and Baluchestan, state media reported.

"Following the terrorist incident in the general area of Sirkan, Saravan city, five native Baloch Basiji’s were martyred," Iran’s state IRNA news agency said.

IRGC-affiliated media blamed the Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice)

The Iranian news media sometimes refer to the group as Jaish ul-Zalm (“Army of Injustice”) because it makes them feel especially clever…
group for the attack, but the latter quickly issued a statement denying involvement, saying it was blamed for "psychological and political purposes."

Attacks on Iranian security forces in Sistan and Baluchestan province are frequent. Armed Baluchi groups, primarily Jaish al-Adl, operate in the province that borders Afghanistan and Pakistain. They have waged an insurgency against Tehran and carried out numerous attacks against its forces, especially the IRGC.

Jaish al-Adl was re-added to the United States list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations in 2019 by the administration of former President Donald Trump
...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania...
. The designation was in response to a deadly attack by the group that killed 27 IRGC members near Sistan and Baluchestan’s placid provincial capital, Zahedan.

Baluchis are a mainly Sunni ethnic minority in Iran, living predominantly in the Baluchestan region near the border with Pakistain. The population was active during nationwide protests in September 2022 and hundreds of Baluchis were killed by the IRGC in a heavy crackdown.

In late October, at least two Jaish al-Adl members were killed in an IRGC drone attack in Sistan and Baluchestan.

Days prior, ten Iranian coppers were killed in a Jaish al-Adl attack in the province.

Nearly 10,000 Yazidis returned to Shingal this year: Ministry
[Rudaw] So far this year, around 10,000 Yazidis have returned to their homes in the Shingal (Sinjar) region of northern Nineveh province, Iraq’s migration and displacement ministry on Saturday as Baghdad continues its efforts to close camps across the country.

Ministry spokesperson Ali Abbas said that nearly 10,000 people have returned to the Yazidi heartland, with the latest convoy of 326 people departing Mam Rashan camp in Duhok province on November 6.

Each returning family will be given four million Iraqi dinars (about $3,050) along with some basic household items including a fridge, stove, and television, according to Abbas. This is provided by the Iraqi government to encourage internally displaced persons (IDPs) to return home.

Despite the incentives, many families are reluctant to leave because of continued violence in their homelands, a lack of reconstruction following the destruction of their houses, and little in the way of basic services. Some who voluntarily left the camps have been forced to return, unable to piece together the basics.

Many of the camps in the Kurdistan Region suffer from a lack of funds, as the humanitarian focus has shifted from emergency response to development and stabilization.

Human rights advocates have expressed concern about Iraq’s push to close the camps, stressing that all returns must be safe, voluntary, and dignified.

According to the United Nations

The Grand Turk
Nearly 4,000 people arrested in Turkey on human trafficking charges
[KhaamaPress] Ali Yerlikaya, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

’s Interior Minister, announced that 3,924 people have been arrested across the country this year on charges of human trafficking.

In a message posted on X/formerly Twitter on Friday, November 8, the minister confirmed that Ottoman Turkish authorities continue their joint operations aimed at preventing illegal migration throughout the country.

Yerlikaya emphasized that during these operations against migrants colonists in 41 cities, 257 human traffickers were arrested.

The Interior Ministry has issued arrest warrants for 1,693 of the detained individuals, though their identities have not been disclosed.

This comes amid a significant rise in the arrest and deportation of Afghan migrants colonists from countries like Iran, Pakistain, and Turkey in recent months.

Previously, Ottoman Turkish media reported the detention of 33 Afghan refugees in the city of Erzurum over the past month.

It is important to note that, according to official statistics, over 300,000 Afghan migrants colonists currently reside in Turkey.

Recently, the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
allocated $11 billion to support Turkey in managing the forced return of migrants colonists, including Syrians, to their home countries.

Turkey’s crackdown on human trafficking and illegal migration highlights the increasing pressure on the country due to its large migrant population, particularly from Afghanistan.

"Through intensive monitoring by the Targeting Cell of the Joint Operations Command over the past two consecutive days, the location of a terrorist group of four members was identified in the Hamrin Mountains within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector," read a statement from the Iraqi Joint Operations Command.

"Our courageous Air Force Falcons carried out a severe strike with F-16 aircraft, targeting this terrorist group. The strike resulted in the killing of the group members and the destruction of their hideout," it added.

The strike also destroyed weapons, ammunition, logistic supplies, and explosives, according to the statement.

The operation in territories disputed between federal Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government is the latest in an ongoing effort to rid the country of ISIS cells in areas where a security vacuum allows them to operate.

Last month, the Iraqi army announced that over 100 ISIS members have been killed since the beginning of the year.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
SDF arrests 27 ISIS suspects in ongoing al-Hol operation
SDF captures ‘dangerous’ ISIS member in al-Hol camp raid
11 November
[Rudaw] The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Monday announced arresting a “dangerous” Islamic State (ISIS) member in an ongoing operation carried out by Kurdish forces in the notorious al-Hol camp in northeast Syria (Rojava).

The SDF said in a statement that security forces in Rojava conducted “a special operation in the al-Hol area, capturing a dangerous ISIS terrorist who was responsible for planning major terrorist attacks and had been wanted by military and security forces for two years.”

A number of weapons and ammunition were seized during the operation, according to the statement.

Al-Hol camp is located in Hasaka province and has been branded a breeding ground for terrorism. The majority of people in the camp are originally from Syria and Iraq, though it also houses people from around the world who traveled to the Middle East to live in the so-called ISIS caliphate.

The SDF and partner forces on Wednesday launched “Operation Enduring Security” in and around al-Hol in response to intensified ISIS attacks. The Kurdish-led forces have since arrested tens of suspected ISIS members in the camp.

Kurdish authorities in northeast Syria have repeatedly called on the international community to repatriate their nationals from al-Hol, but many countries are hesitant to take back their citizens due to security concerns.

The SDF, which controls northeast Syria, fought the lion’s share of the battle against ISIS and arrested thousands of the group’s fighters along with their wives and children when they crushed ISIS territorially and took the group’s last stronghold in Syria in 2019.

SDF arrests ten ISIS suspects in ongoing al-Hol operation

[Rudaw] At least ten suspected Islamic State (ISIS) members were arrested in an ongoing operation carried out by Kurdish forces in the notorious al-Hol camp in northeast Syria (Rojava), the force said on Sunday.

“The forces managed to capture ten ISIS terrorist cells that had been involved in terrorist acts and were preparing for other terrorist acts” in the fourth day of the operation, said the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in a statement.

While combing the “female migrants” section of the camp – which houses foreign women with suspected links to ISIS – the SDF said they found “a decaying body of a woman who had been tortured and killed by the terrorist women of the so-called ‘Hisba’” which refers to the jihadists’ religious police.

[Rudaw] Kurdish forces in northeast Syria (Rojava) on Saturday said they arrested 16 Islamic State (ISIS) suspects on the fourth day of an anti-terror operation in a camp housing thousands of the group’s family members and supporters.

“The participating forces conducted searches in the city of al-Hol, its suburbs, and significant parts of the camp. As a result, 16 ISIS terrorists were captured and a quantity of weapons, ammunition, and military supplies were seized,” the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said in a statement.

The SDF and partner forces on Wednesday launched “Operation Enduring Security” in and around al-Hol in response to intensified ISIS attacks.

Sharp drop seen in reservist response rate due to burnout amid long war
[IsraelTimes] Sources say 75% to 85% of reserve soldiers have been showing up for duty in recent weeks, compared to over 100% at start of fighting

There has been a significant decline in the rate of reserve soldiers showing up for duty in recent weeks compared to the start of the war, The Times of Israel learned on Monday.

At the start of the war, the Israel Defense Forces reported that more than 100 percent of reservists called up for duty had shown up — nearly 300,000 reservists in total, marking the largest-ever call-up of reservists in Israel’s history.

In some units, the turnout rate reached 150%, with many reservists showing up for duty despite not receiving formal orders.

In recent weeks, the turnout rate in the reservist units currently fighting in Leb

Strip has varied between 75% and 85%, according to defense sources.

The decline has been attributed by senior officers to burnout among reservists after fighting for over a year of war, along with them being away from their families for extended periods, losing jobs, or missing academic studies.

It has also been attributed to resentment over the failure of the country to draft masses of the ultra-Orthodox community, while the national religious and secular communities serve at high rates.

The IDF has been seeking to expand its ranks and lengthen the mandatory military service time to relieve the reservists from extended duty, as many of them have already been serving for most of the war and are expected to be called up for over 100 days of duty next year as well.

The ongoing war in Gaza began on October 7, when Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
-led forces of Evil rampaged through southern communities, slaughtering 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. The hostilities on the northern border began shortly afterward and ramped up significantly in recent months.

The military has said that it currently requires some 10,000 new soldiers — mostly combat troops — but can only accommodate the enlistment of an additional 3,000 ultra-Orthodox this year, due to their specific needs. This group is in addition to some 1,800 Haredi soldiers who are already drafted annually.

The dispute over the ultra-Orthodox community serving in the military is one of the most contentious in Israel, with decades of governmental and judicial attempts to settle the issue never achieving a stable resolution. The Haredi religious and politicianship fiercely resists any effort to draft its community’s young men.

Many ultra-Orthodox Jews say that military service is incompatible with their way of life, and fear that those who enlist will be secularized.

Israelis who do serve, however, say the decades-long arrangement of mass exemptions unfairly burdens them, a sentiment that has intensified since the October 7 onslaught and the ensuing war, in which more than 780 soldiers have been killed and some 300,000 citizens called up to reserve duty.

This past year, 63,000 Haredi males were listed as eligible for military service.

Netanyahu’s office confirms Israel was behind devastating pager attacks on Hezbollah
[IsraelTimes] Spokesman says PM personally approved operation; Netanyahu reportedly told cabinet he okayed attack despite ‘opposition’ from senior defense officials

A spokesperson for Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed to media outlets on Monday for the first time that Israel was behind a string of devastating attacks on Hezbollah communications devices in September.

During a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Netanyahu reportedly boasted that Israel was behind the attacks, but while the Jewish state was widely believed to have been responsible, there had been no official confirmation from the government or military until front man Omer Dostri’s statement on Monday.

On September 17, thousands of pagers simultaneously went kaboom! in the southern suburbs of Beirut and other Hezbollah strongholds across Leb

The coordinated attack dealt a deadly blow to the Iran-backed Lebanese terror group, and kicked off an escalation that continued with the liquidation of almost all of Hezbollah’s leadership, including Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

, had said the incident was the "biggest security breach" for the group in nearly a year of conflict with Israel.

Among the victims rushed to hospital, many had eye injuries, missing fingers or gaping holes in their abdomens, Rooters witnesses saw, indicating their proximity to the devices at the time of detonation. In total, the pager attack, and a second on the following day that activated weaponized walkie-talkies, killed 39 people and maimed more than 3,400.

The tolls did not differentiate between civilians and members of the terror group, and among the maimed was Tehran’s ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani. A Hezbollah official told Rooters a week later that the attacks put 1,500 of the group’s fighters out of commission due to their injuries, with many having been blinded or had their hands blown off.

In the aftermath, various media outlets reported that the attack was a highly sophisticated Israeli intelligence operation years in the making in which Hezbollah was fooled into purchasing the compromised devices.

The pager explosions occurred after almost a year of incessant rocket and drone attacks on Israel by the Hezbollah terror group, which began a day after Hamas

The attacks on northern Israel since October 2023 have caused the deaths of 40 civilians. In addition, 61 IDF soldiers and reservists have died in cross-border skirmishes and in the ground operation launched in southern Lebanon in late September.

Netanyahu reportedly claimed to cabinet ministers on Sunday that senior defense officials and political figures were opposed to the detonation of the pagers but that he went ahead with the operation.

"The pager operation and the elimination of [Hezbollah leader Hassan] Nasrallah were carried out despite the opposition of bigwigs in the defense establishment and those responsible for them in the political echelon," he reportedly said, in a clear dig at recently fired defense minister Yoav Gallant.

Netanyahu and Gallant have clashed repeatedly over the course of their time in government together. In March 2023, Netanyahu fired Gallant a day after the then-defense minister called for pausing the legislation process of the government’s contentious judicial overhaul plans, which he said caused divisions that posed a threat to national security.

He was reinstated less than a month later, however, and was at the helm of the Defense Ministry when Hamas committed its deadly terror assault in southern Israel on October 7 last year. Gallant remained in his post throughout the subsequent war in the Gazoo

, the army announced Monday, as tanks rolled into a central Gaza town and a humanitarian zone in the south of the enclave.

Maj. (res.) Itamar Levin Fridman, 34, was killed during operations in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF said. Fridman, a high school math teacher and father of two, was in Gaza as part of the LOTAR Eilat unit, an elite squad tasked with protecting the Red Sea resort city from terror attacks. According to an initial IDF probe, he was hit by anti-tank fire in Jabalia, an area in northern Gaza that has been the focus of the army’s efforts in the enclave in recent weeks. Fridman’s death marks the first fatality among troops fighting in Gaza since November 2, when three soldiers were killed in separate incidents in the northern part of the Strip.

A total of 371 troops have been killed in Gaza since Israel launched a ground offensive aimed at toppling the Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
terror group and recovering the hostages kidnapped during the October 7 onslaught.

Gazooks said Monday that Israel sent tanks into the western side of the Nuseirat camp, which houses refugees from Israel’s creation 76 years ago and their descendants, causing panic among residents and displaced families who have fled there during the war.

"Some people couldn’t leave and remained trapped inside their homes, appealing to be allowed out, while others rushed out with whatever they could carry as they fled," said Zaik Mohammad, 25, who lives one kilometer (0.6 miles) away from the targeted area, via a chat application.

There was no comment from the Israeli military and the tank movement did not appear to be part of a major operation.

The IDF has carried out several small raids on the outskirts of Nuseirat in recent months, but no major push into the town where hundreds of thousands of Paleostinians are residing.

Officials in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip said some two dozen people were killed in strikes late Sunday and Monday. At the al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, 20 people were killed in a series of strikes from the air and ground, including one that hit a tent encampment, health officials there said. In the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya, where Israeli forces have operated since October 5, medics said four people were killed in an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
. Others were reported killed in airstrikes in Gaza City.

Medics at Kamal Adwan Hospital near Beit Lahiya reported that three medical workers were maimed by Israeli fire from a drone. The IDF said troops captured dozens of Hamas operatives during a raid on the hospital last month.

Hamas claims over 43,000 Gazooks have been killed since the start of the offensive, though the numbers cannot be verified and do not differentiate between combatants and civilians.

Israel says it has killed some 18,000 combatants in battle as of November, and another 1,000 holy warriors inside Israel during the October 7, 2023 attack.

It says it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stresses that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas including homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques.

Israeli forces have besieged three hospitals in and around Jabalia for several weeks and hospital officials say they have refused orders to evacuate the facilities or leave their patients unattended amid claims of dwindling food and other supplies.

The IDF says that 220 patients and escorts were evacuated from hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip over the past month, in coordination with the World Health Organization. The evacuations were "accompanied by the entry of 50,000 liters of fuel, 180 units of blood, and hundreds of boxes of medical supplies and food to support the essential operations of hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip," the army has said.

On Monday, the military said it had expanded its "humanitarian zone" in southern Gaza, where the vast majority of the Paleostinian population in the Strip currently resides. It also said it would allow more tents, shelter materials, food, water, and medical supplies to enter. According to a map released by the IDF, several neighborhoods of Khan Younis and some areas on the outskirts of the Nuseirat refugee camp were being added to the humanitarian zone.

The zone is where most aid is directed, and where several field hospitals have been established. Its size has changed multiple times, given evolving IDF operations against the Hamas terror group. The zone expansion came as a deadline approached for the US to assess that Israel has improved supplies of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The army also said it discovered a bag of ammunition while inspecting an aid convoy moving between northern and southern Gaza on Sunday. The convoy had been coordinated with the international community and was being monitored by the IDF, the military said. After unusual movements aroused suspicion, the convoy was inspected and a bag of firearm ammunition was found. Some of those transporting the convoy were detained for questioning, and "inquiries were also made with the relevant organization," the army said.

"It is important to note that this was an internal convoy traveling inside the Gaza Strip from the north to the south, and not through the crossings designated for bringing humanitarian aid into Gaza," the IDF added.

At Riyadh summit, Saudi crown prince backs Iran, accuses Israel of genocide
It sounds like the Saudis aren’t ready for peace after all. Or aren’t ready to be seen making peace. back to the White House, Mohammed also appeared to harden the kingdom’s rhetoric against Israel, signaling that Riyadh may be moving further away from US efforts to broker a normalization deal with Jerusalem.

Mohammed told leaders gathered in Riyadh that the kingdom renewed "its condemnation and categorical rejection of the genocide committed by Israel against the brotherly Paleostinian people, which has claimed the lives of 150,000 deaders, maimed and missing, most of whom are women and kiddies."

"We affirm that Israel’s continued crimes against innocent people, its persistence in violating the sanctity of the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque, and its detraction from the pivotal role of the Paleostinian National Authority in all Paleostinian territories will undermine the efforts aimed at obtaining the Paleostinian people’s legitimate rights and establishing peace in the region," he added.

Riyadh has also moved to patch up ties with Iran after a March 2023 rapprochement deal brokered by China.

The restored ties between Riyadh and Tehran have reshaped the diplomatic landscape, which Trump will have to reckon with when he takes office again next year, said H.A. Hellyer, Middle East expert at the Royal United Services Institute.

"Clearly Riyadh and Tehran are warming their relationship, and this is a very different regional environment as compared to when Trump was last in office," Hellyer said.

"Trump may want to expand the Abraham Accords when he takes office next year, but unless Israel changes tack drastically in the region, that’s going to [be] fraught with many more challenges than last time," he said.

At the same time, Iranian proxy groups and Iran itself have attempted to expand the war by launching attacks on Israel from around the Middle East, including a ballistic missile fired at central Israel from Yemen earlier Monday.

Israel has said it will respond if Iran goes through with threats to attack the country in retaliation for Israeli strikes on military sites on October 26. The Israeli sorties came after Iran fired some 200 ballistic missiles at cities across Israel on October 1.

The warning against hitting Iran appeared to mark a shift since April, when Saudi Arabia reportedly allowed its airspace to be used to counter a volley of hundreds of drones and missiles fired by Iran at Israel.

Both Hamas and Hezbollah, a Lebanese terror group that Israel is fighting to halt over a year of incessant rocket fire, are backed by Iran, and had previously been blacklisted by Saudi Arabia as terror groups.

In an earlier sign of Saudi Arabia’s shifting positions, Riyadh said in October it was revoking the license of Saudi-owned news broadcaster MBC after it called slain Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar a terrorist.

At the summit Monday, Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref claimed Israel’s liquidations of Sinwar and Hezbollah leader His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

were "nothing but lawlessness and organized terrorism."

He also said the international community was expecting Trump to end Israel’s wars against Hamas and Hezbollah.

," Aref told the joint Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit.

On Sunday, Saudi Arabia’s top military official, Fayyad al-Ruwaili, arrived in Tehran for talks with Iranian officials, weeks after Saudi Arabia announced it had held war games with Iran and other countries in the Sea of Oman.

Mohammed and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian spoke by phone on Sunday ahead of the summit.

Pezeshkian is not attending because of pressing "executive matters," an Iranian government statement said.

Movie star Susan Sarandon claims she was blacklisted in Hollywood after she said, at a pro-Paleostinian rally in November of last year, that US Jews fearing for their safety, given a spike in antisemitism, "are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Moslem in this country."

The Hollywood talent agency UTA cut ties with the Oscar-winning actress as a client a few days after a clip from the rally went viral, despite her issuing an apology.

"I was dropped by my agency, my projects were pulled," Sarandon told the UK’s Sunday Times in an interview for a profile article that was published on Sunday. "I’ve been used as an example of what not to do if you want to continue to work."

"There are so many people out of work right now [since] November of last year ... who have lost their jobs as custodians, as writers, as painters, as people working in the cafeteria, substitute teachers who have been fired because they tweeted something, or liked a tweet, or asked for a ceasefire," she told the British newspaper.

Sarandon said that she had made a "terrible mistake," and that her comments at the rally implied that "until recently Jews have been strangers to persecution, when the opposite is true."
Implied is not the word I would have chosen, but do go on, my dear.
The actress has been intensely critical of Israel throughout the war

, which was triggered on October 7, 2023, when some 3,000 Hamas bandidos turbans burst through the border into southern Israel, killed at least 1,200 people and took 251 hostages.

At a rally earlier in November, she told attendees that it was important to examine the events of October 7 in the context of Israel’s history, which some saw as blaming Israelis for the atrocities committed by Hamas.

"So many people don’t understand the context in which this October 7 assault happened," she said, "They don’t understand the history of what has been happening to the Paleostinian people for 75 years. So this is an opportunity to educate people if they can have an open mind."
If only her mind had been open so she could have been educated before her mouth spew such fashionable poison, but the precious darling isn’t smart enough for that kind of self-awareness.
As the war has unfolded, she continued to share accusations of genocide and war crimes by Israel, has shared misinformation denying elements of the massacre, and praised Hamas as a "resistance group."
It sounds like she was much too busy displaying fashionable opinions to work anyway

IDF building along UN-patrolled demilitarized zone in Syria, satellite images show
[IsraelTimes] Photos show trenches and fortifications being built along Syrian side of Golan Heights border; UN confirms Israeli encroachment ‘into the area of separation’

Israel has begun a construction project along the so-called Alpha Line that separates the Golan Heights from Syria, apparently laying asphalt for a road right along the frontier, satellite photos analyzed by The News Agency that Dare Not be Named show.

Israeli troops have entered the demilitarized zone during the work, the United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
confirmed to the AP.

Earlier satellite photos show the work began in earnest in late September.
Photos at the link.
So far, there has been no major violence along the Alpha Line, which delineates the demilitarized zone between Syria and the Golan Heights that UN peacekeepers have patrolled since 1974.

Syria, which has officially been at war with Israel since its founding in 1948 and relies on Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
for support, has remained silent regarding the construction.
”Please don’t bomb us more!”
The Israeli military did not respond to requests for comment and Syrian officials in Damascus declined to comment.

High-resolution images taken on November 5 by Planet Labs PBC for the AP show over 4.5 miles (7.2 kilometers) of construction along the Alpha Line, starting some two miles (3.2 kilometers) southeast of the Druze town of Majdal Shams, where a Hezbollah rocket strike in July killed 12 children playing soccer.

The images appear to show a trench between two embankments, parts of which seems to have been laid with fresh asphalt. There also appears to be fencing running along it, as well toward the Syrian side.

The construction follows a southeast route before heading due south along the Alpha Line, and then again cutting southeast. The images show excavators and other earth-moving equipment actively digging along the route, with more asphalt piled there. The area is also believed to be littered with unwent kaboom! ordnance and mines from decades of conflict.

The United Nations maintains a peacekeeping force in the demilitarized zone called the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force, or UNDOF.

"In recent months, UNDOF has observed construction activity being carried out by the IDF along the ceasefire line," UN peacekeeping spokesperson Nick Birnback told the AP.

"In this regard, UNDOF has observed in some instances, IDF personnel, Israeli excavators, other construction equipment, and the construction itself encroach into the area of separation."

Birnback added that "no military forces, equipment, or activity by either Israel or Syria are permitted in the area of separation."
"Permitted". What you gonna do about it, asshat?
While Israel has not acknowledged the construction, it sent a 71-page letter in June to the UN outlining what it described as "Syrian violations of the Alpha Line and armed presence in the area of separation (that) occur daily." The letter cited numerous Israeli-alleged violations by Syrian civilians crossing the line.

"Syrian violations of that agreement only heighten tensions in our already volatile region," the letter added.
”Since you haven't done your job, we’re going to do it for you. The option is that we treat Syria like we’re treating Lebanon — your choice. Do let us know what you decide.”

ICC confirms probe of sexual misconduct allegations against top prosecutor
[IsraelTimes] Investigation to be conducted by external oversight body after court’s internal watchdog dismissed claims; Karim Khan says allegations are misinformation campaign

The International Criminal Court in The Hague confirmed on Monday that it will launch an external probe into sexual misconduct accusations against its top prosecutor, keeping alive a case that the court’s internal watchdog had closed within five days. Khan said he won’t step down during the probe.

A statement from the president of the Assembly of States Parties, the world court’s management oversight and legislative body, said that the Independent Oversight Mechanism (IOM) will lead the external investigation.

"An external investigation is... being pursued in order to ensure a fully independent, impartial and fair process," the statement read.

"I must insist on due respect for the privacy and the rights of all involved parties, as well as the confidentiality of such an investigation. Further information can only be shared once the investigation has concluded," the statement added.

In his own statement Monday, Khan said he welcomed "the opportunity to engage in this process."
"I'm happy as a clam!"
He also declined to step down during the investigation. ’’I will be continuing all other functions as Prosecutor, in line with my mandate, across situations addressed by the International Criminal Court," he said.

An News Agency that Dare Not be Named investigation found that two court employees in whom the alleged victim had confided came forward with the accusation in May, a few weeks before Khan sought arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his then-defense minister Yoav Gallant, and three Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
leaders — all of whom have since been killed — on war crimes charges.

A three-judge panel is now weighing that request. Israel has rejected the charges out of hand.

The AP reported that Khan had traveled frequently with the woman after transferring her to his office from another department at the ICC’s headquarters in The Hague.

During one foreign trip, Khan allegedly asked the woman to rest with him on a hotel bed and then "sexually touched her," according to whistleblower documents shared with the court’s watchdog and seen by the AP. Later, he came to her room at 3 a.m. and knocked on the door for 10 minutes.

Other allegedly nonconsensual behavior cited in the documents included locking the door of his office and sticking his hand in her pocket. He also allegedly asked her on several occasions to go on a vacation together.

After the two co-workers reported the alleged behavior, the court’s internal watchdog interviewed the woman, but she opted against filing a complaint due to her distrust of the watchdog, according to the AP investigation. Khan was never questioned and the watchdog’s inquiry was closed within five days.

While the court’s watchdog could not determine wrongdoing, it nonetheless urged Khan in a memo to minimize contact with the woman to protect the rights of all involved and safeguard the court’s integrity.

Khan categorically denied the accusations, and said the misconduct allegations align with a misinformation campaign against his office.

The decision to launch an external probe came as the court comes under pressure from US senators to not issue warrants over the Israel-Hamas war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. 35 dead as a driver hits a crowd at sports center in a southern Chinese city
[Ay-Pee] A driver killed 35 people and severely injured another 43 when he deliberately rammed his car into people exercising at a sports center in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai, police said Tuesday.

Police had detained a 62-year-old man at the sports center in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai following the ramming late Monday, on the eve of the country’s premier aviation exhibition by the People’s Liberation Army that’s hosted annually in the city.

Police identified the man only by his family name of Fan, consistent with the practice by Chinese authorities.

Fan was discovered in the car with a knife, with wounds to his neck thought to be self-harm injuries, according to the statement. He is unconscious and receiving medical care.

Australia's US ambassador Kevin Rudd faces calls to resign over disparaging anti-Trump comments
[NY Post] "Oops! Taken out of context!"
Australia’s US Ambassador Kevin Rudd is facing calls to resign after his slew of disparaging comments against President-elect Donald Trump resurfaced — causing concerns over whether he’ll be able to work with the incoming president.

Rudd called Trump "the most destructive president in history" and "a traitor to the West" in past tweets, as well as "a village idiot" and "incompetent" in a 2021 video interview uncovered by Sky News.

"The most destructive president in history. He drags America and democracy through the mud. He thrives on fomenting, not healing, division," Rudd wrote on X in June 2020. "He abuses Christianity, church and the Bible to justify violence."

Rudd hastily deleted his past tweets insulting Trump soon after it appeared likely that the Republican would cinch the election against Vice President Kamala Harris last week.

But Australian officials, who are particularly concerned over Trump’s 10% tariff proposal, worry that the damage is already done — Rudd’s insults could hurt Australia’s relationship with the US under a Trump presidency.

"Loose-lipped Rudd is so arrogant he actually thinks he can walk back every insult ever delivered about Trump and get away with it," The Nightly editor-in-chief Christopher Dore wrote in a Sunday opinion piece.

"It is ludicrous to even contemplate keeping Kevin Rudd in Washington as our ambassador to the US," Dore argued.

Michael Kroger, the former president of Australia’s Victorian Liberal Party and a frequent conservative commentator, said Rudd should do what’s best for the country and step down.

"Kevin Rudd knows Australia’s best interests are not served by a ferocious critic of Donald Trump as our Ambassador in Washington," he told the Herald Sun. "For Australia’s national interests, Mr Rudd needs to hand in his commission to the Prime Minister who should then appoint a more diplomatic ambassador."

Former Foreign Minister Alexander Downer told the publication that Rudd has made his own job incredibly difficult by his criticism of the US president-elect.

"Kevin Rudd may find this hard to believe but he might find that Donald Trump has more on his mind than the future of Kevin Rudd," said Downer, who also served as Australia’s ambassador to the UK.

Government Corruption
Judge to rule whether to throw out Trump's criminal hush money conviction
[NY Post] Juan Merchan is a corrupt Dem POS, but is he smart enough to toss this crap?
A New York judge will decide Tuesday whether to throw out Donald Trump’s conviction in his criminal “hush money” case based on the US Supreme Court’s decision on presidential immunity earlier this year.

The president-elect faces up to four years in prison after he was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records to cover up payments to porn star Stormy Daniels before Trump was elected president in 2016.

The US Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in July that Trump enjoys absolute immunity from prosecution for “official acts” during his presidency. The nation’s top court left it up to lower courts to sort out what constitutes an “official act” by a sitting president.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan had delayed sentencing by more than four months until after the election.

If the conviction is upheld, Trump, 78, is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 26 — less than two months before his inauguration.

Trump’s sweeping election victory over Vice President Kamala Harris will embolden his legal team to make sure that sentencing never happens, legal experts have said.

Prosecutors have argued that the case centers on “entirely personal” conduct with “no relationship whatsoever to any official duty of the presidency,” as the crimes were committed before he took office, ABC 7 reported.

The “evidence that he claims is affected by the Supreme Court’s ruling constitutes only a sliver of the mountains of testimony and documentary proof that the jury considered in finding him guilty of all 34 felony charges beyond a reasonable doubt,” prosecutors said.

Trump’s defense team has argued that certain evidence presented to the jury, including his conversation with former White House communications director Hope Hicks and his social media posts as president, muddled the jury’s understanding of the case.

If Merchan tosses the conviction, the judge could still order a new trial — which would be delayed for at least four years until Trump leaves office. He could also dismiss the indictment entirely.

Meanwhile, Justice Department officials are likely to drop the pair of cases brought against Trump by special counsel Jack Smith while he was out of office related to his attempt to overturn the 2020 election and the hoarding of classified documents.

The DOJ has a longstanding policy of not prosecuting a sitting president and officials there reportedly are aware it would be futile to continue pursuing charges before Trump’s inauguration Jan. 20.

“Many legal scholars, including myself, agree it’s almost certain he will never see the inside of a jail cell,” Quinnipiac University assistant professor of law Wayne Unger told The Post last week.

Former prosecutor Neama Rahmani agreed, saying, “Now that Trump has won, his criminal problems go away.”

The incoming commander-in-chief could simply pardon himself in the two federal cases once he’s in office or direct his new attorney general to fire Smith and order the Justice Department to drop both matters.

UPDATE: Judge delays ruling on whether to scrap Trump’s conviction in hush money case

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Chemical company based in Wuhan, China, accused of manufacturing flesh-eating 'zombie drug'
WUHAN, China - Here we go again.
[LawEnforcementToday] The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that a Chinese chemical company, its director, and three of its senior employees have been indicted on charges of manufacturing and distributing fentanyl precursors and xylazine.

According to WFLA, the company, Hubei Aokas Bio-Tech Co. Ltd., is based in Wuhan, China, and is accused of fueling the fentanyl crisis in the United States. The federal grand jury indictment charges the company with several offenses, including conspiracy to manufacture and distribute fentanyl and the introduction of misbranded drugs into interstate commerce.

Federal prosecutors allege that from November 2016 to November 2023, the Chinese company sold significant amounts of fentanyl precursors to customers in the United States. These chemicals were often mislabeled and imported as items such as furniture parts and makeup in an effort to evade detection. Some of the shipments were intercepted by U.S. agents, who were posing as buyers.

Hubei Aokas is also accused of selling xylazine, an animal sedative commonly referred to as "tranq," which has saturated the streets of big cities like Los Angeles and is known for its effect of causing flesh to rot. The properties in the chemical and its effects have led to law enforcement calling xylazine a "flesh-eating zombie drug."

Four individuals tied to the company, including the company's sole director, Xuening Gao, 38, and senior employees Guangzhao Gao, 36, Yajing Li, 30, and an employee identified as "Jessie Lee," have also been named in the federal indictment. The DOJ said that the Ministry of Public Security in China arrested the defendants and dissolved the company following a parallel investigation.

In a statement, U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada said, "This indictment alleges a corporation, its director, and sales manager reaped financial benefits by knowingly exporting materials that helped fuel the fentanyl crisis in our nation. Synthetic drugs such as fentanyl have wreaked devastation in our country, and it is therefore critical that we hold accountable those behind the crisis."

According to the indictment, Xuening, the company's sole directed, has been charged with two conspiracy counts; Guangzhao, operator of the company's cryptocurrency wallets used for fentanyl precursor sales, has been charged with a total of six felonies, including four distribution-related counts; Yajing, the company's sales manager, has also been charged with six felonies; and the fifth defendant, also a sales manager, has been charged with two conspiracy counts.

The DOJ said that Hubei Aokas exported chemicals to at least 100 countries, including the United States, and advertised online and through various social media platforms. The company claimed that fentanyl precursors were most popular in Mexico and sold them in 25-kilogram fiber drums, each of which can produce 10 million fentanyl pills. Those drugs were then likely transported illegally across the southern border, which thanks to lax border policies by the Biden administration, were pushed into many communities across the United States.

If convicted, the defendants face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and up to life in federal prison. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the IRS Criminal Investigation, FDA Office of Criminal Investigations, Homeland Security Investigations, and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, among others.
It sounds like the company and its employees are based in China. Can American law enforcement get their hand on them from here? I can’t imagine China would extradite them.

CNN - Trump is already wielding power and causing massive disruption
[CNN] President-elect Donald Trump is already flexing raw power, showing he may try to subvert Washington’s checks and balances and leaving foreign leaders scrambling to come to terms with his victory.

Early signs from Mar-a-Lago, the Florida club and estate where Trump is building his new administration, suggest that when he moves back into the White House in January, bolstered by a thumping win and a democratic mandate, he will act with maximum force.

Trump has already taken to social media to issue orders to Senate Republicans running in this week’s majority leader election to endorse recess appointments for his Cabinet nominees — and all three candidates quickly signaled they’re open to the idea. He’s showing he plans to rule a GOP monopoly on power — if Republicans win control of the House, which CNN has not yet projected — with unchallenged authority. He sees Congress as a rubber stamp rather than a separate, co-equal branch of government.

In a move that recalled the late-night drama of his first term, Trump posted on Truth Social shortly before midnight that he had named Tom Homan, the former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and an advocate of Trump’s plans for mass deportations, as border czar. Homan argued in a recent CBS "60 Minutes" interview that "families could be deported together" but ruled out mass sweeps of neighborhoods or "concentration camps."

His selection is likely to bolster concerns of Trump’s opponents about the former president’s hardline intentions. But the president-elect made no secret of his plans on the campaign trail and his policies will reflect the desire of millions of voters in his governing majority for a wide-ranging shake-up of America’s direction at home and abroad.

For instance, Trump’s decisions herald a new administration infused by outsider populism rather than conventional power brokers. He, for example, ruled out Cabinet posts for Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley, who both had top foreign policy spots last time around. On Sunday, he offered the job of US ambassador to the United Nations to New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, two sources familiar told CNN. And his inclusion of billionaire tech visionary and rabble rouser Elon Musk on a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky — a privilege normally reserved for senior foreign policy aides — showed how Trump’s unorthodoxy will challenge every governing convention.

Cromwell to Parliament:

It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice.

Ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government.

Ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess?

Ye have no more religion than my horse. Gold is your God. Which of you have not bartered your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defiled this sacred place, and turned the Lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices?

Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation. You were deputed here by the people to get grievances redressed, are yourselves become the greatest grievance.

Your country therefore calls upon me to cleanse this Augean stable, by putting a final period to your iniquitous proceedings in this House; and which by God’s help, and the strength he has given me, I am now come to do.

I command ye therefore, upon the peril of your lives, to depart immediately out of this place.

Go, get you out! Make haste! Ye venal slaves be gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors.

In the name of God, go!

Britain
Somebody moved UK's oldest satellite, and no-one knows who or why
[BBC ht AOSHQ] Someone moved the UK's oldest satellite and there appears to be no record of exactly who, when or why.

Launched in 1969, just a few months after humans first set foot on the Moon, Skynet-1A was put high above Africa's east coast to relay communications for British forces.

When the spacecraft ceased working a few years later, gravity might have been expected to pull it even further to the east, out over the Indian Ocean.

But today, curiously, Skynet-1A is actually half a planet away, in a position 22,369 miles (36,000km) above the Americas.

Orbital mechanics mean it's unlikely the half-tonne military spacecraft simply drifted to its current location.

Almost certainly, it was commanded to fire its thrusters in the mid-1970s to take it westwards. The question is who that was and with what authority and purpose?

It's intriguing that key information about a once vital national security asset can just evaporate. But, fascination aside, you might also reasonably ask why it still matters. After all, we're talking about some discarded space junk from 50 years ago.

"It's still relevant because whoever did move Skynet-1A did us few favours," says space consultant Dr Stuart Eves.

"It's now in what we call a 'gravity well' at 105 degrees West longitude, wandering backwards and forwards like a marble at the bottom of a bowl. And unfortunately this brings it close to other satellite traffic on a regular basis.

"Because it's dead, the risk is it might bump into something, and because it's 'our' satellite we're still responsible for it," he explains.

Dr Eves has looked through old satellite catalogues, the National Archives and spoken to satellite experts worldwide, but he can find no clues to the end-of-life behaviour of Britain's oldest spacecraft.

It might be tempting to reach for a conspiracy theory or two, not least because it's hard to hear the name "Skynet" without thinking of the malevolent, self-aware artificial intelligence (AI) system in The Terminator movie franchise.

But there's no connection other than the name and, in any case, real life is always more prosaic.

Home Front: Politix
Deaf and blind in the middle of a landslide
by Dr Anjuli Pandavar

[IsraelNationalNews] Four decades after having left Islam, I was still reflecting on the experience, still debriefing. How did my Muslim mind work for me to have been enthralled to its certainties for so long, and, more importantly, why could I not see it at the time? Only much later, in 2000 did I become aware of just how thoroughly my psyche had been messed up. Later still, I came across a talk by Yuri Bezmenov, in which he laid out the KGB’s ideological subversion of the West. Most striking was:

"Exposure to true information does not matter anymore. A person who was demoralised is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him. Even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents, with pictures; even if I take him by force to the Soviet Union and show him concentration camps, he will refuse to believe it. When a military boot crushes his b***s, then he will understand, but not before that. That’s the tragedy of demoralisation. So basically, America is stuck with demoralisation. Even if you start right now, here, this minute, you start educating new generation of Americans, it will still take you fifteen to twenty years to turn the tide of ideological perception of reality back to normality and patriotism."

A former KGB lieutenant colonel is now the President of Russia. His former employer’s handiwork is amply in evidence in many parts of the world, not least the United States. In researching for this essay, I came across the response of a Princeton Professor, Eddie S. Glaude Jr, to the consistently-repeated economic hardships of the over 50% of the American electorate who put Trump in office. The professor, as if living in an alternate world, thundered:

"I do not believe that! I cannot believe that! And the reason I think you [interviewer] believe it is, because you don't want to believe that that's what's really motivating them. It's always the case. We people don't want to believe what the country actually is, because if they believe it, they're going to have to confront what's in them. I don't believe that they voted for a crook, a person who they know is stealing from—just doing everything to undermine the so-called country that they love. And then they're telling us this bs: that it's economics. We know that's not true."

Denying the obvious facts when you are a professor is alarming enough, but when you fail to notice a landslide all around you, then you bring to mind Yuri Bezmenov. "The facts tell nothing to him. He will refuse to believe it." It also recalls the workings of the Muslim mind. In the ummah’s autopsy on the Gaza War, an educated Muslim managed to divest himself of the following fragment: "when October 7th happened and the genocide started up after that." The genocide started "after that."

In their autopsy of Donald Trump’s election victory, American ’revert’ Imam Tom Facchine poured out his delusions to his 21-century Islam interviewer:

Facchine: They [the Trump campaign] poured their last week or their last 10 days into PR and meetings with the Muslim community. Trump went to a Yemeni café in Dearborn, Michigan. He went on stage and he praised Muslims and he prayed, he praised me, he praised Muslims and praised Arabs. He said that they're not terrorists. They're our friends. They want peace; this sort of thing. It might all be lies, who knows, but the thing is that he tried, like he—

Interviewer: They recognise that it [the Muslim community] is a formidable force.

Facchine: Exactly! If it were not a formidable force, they would have put their money and their time elsewhere.

Egyptian intellectual, Dr Khaled Montaser observes about Muslims:

"We are a people incapable of comprehending sarcasm, since it requires a bit of thinking and intellectualising. And we read with great speed and a hopeful eye, not an eye for truth or reality. Some of us are struck with blindness when we read things that go against our hopes."

The same goes for what they hear, what they see and what they do. Zionist Israelis will immediately recognise these symptoms in thousands of their own countrymen and women, who to this day remain unshakeably convinced that their own elected government is illegitimate and that the Prime Minister’s downfall is a higher priority than prevailing over the Palestinian Arabs that attempted a genocide of their entire nation on 7 October. When Hamas swears to do it again and again and again, they do not believe that. They cannot believe that.

The election of Donald Trump to the Presidency of the United States does not solve the problem of two generations of demoralised Americans. It simply creates the first necessary condition for solving it. Apostasy from Islam does not put you in control of your own mind, but it is the first necessary condition for taking such control. Israel winning her war against the Iranian regime and her jihad terrorist armies, does not solve the problem of Israel’s capitulatory Left. It is only the first necessary condition for solving it.

"Even if you start right now, here, this minute, you start educating new generation of Americans, it will still take you fifteen to twenty years to turn the tide of ideological perception of reality back to normality and patriotism."

US forces strike 9 Iran-linked militia targets in Syria: 'Our message is clear'
[FoxNews] The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) recently announced that U.S. forces conducted retaliatory strikes against Iran-associated targets on Monday.

In a statement obtained by Fox News, CENTCOM said that the strikes were in response to "several attacks" against U.S. forces.

"Today, U.S. CENTCOM forces conducted strikes against nine targets in two locations
associated with Iranian groups in Syria in response to several attacks on U.S. personnel in Syria over the last 24 hours," the statement read.

"These strikes will degrade the Iranian-backed groups' ability to plan and launch future attacks on U.S. and Coalition forces who are in the region to conduct D-ISIS operations," CENTCOM added.

In the press release, CENTCOM commander Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla said that the attacks sent a "clear" message.

"Attacks against U.S. and coalition partners in the region will not be tolerated," the military official said. "We will continue to take every step necessary to protect our personnel and coalition partners and respond to reckless attacks."
The strikes came as the tensions between Israel and Iran continue to escalate. On Nov. 3, U.S. bombers arrived in the Middle East in support of Israel.

CENTCOM said last week that B-52 Stratofortress strategic bombers from Minot Air Force Base's 5th Bomb Wing had arrived in the region, but did not specify exactly where the weapons were sent.

'Shame and Disgust.' Who was Hetman Mazepa, who betrayed the Tsar, for Europe
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Denis Davydov

[REGNUM] The year 2024 marks two anniversaries associated with the figure of the Hetman of the Zaporizhian Host Ivan Mazepa : 385 years since his birth and 315 years since his death. But even after such a long time, Ukrainian propaganda is trying to remake the image of Ivan Stepanovich, presenting him as "not a traitor", but a fighter for independence and a person respected in the West.

In connection with the anniversary, last October, an exhibition dedicated to “the peculiarities of the formation of various images of Mazepa from the times of empires to the present day” was ceremoniously opened in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra (of which the hetman was a generous founder during his lifetime). And in this Mazepa-fiction, which has been on the air for over 30 years, a special place is occupied by the foreign press, which regularly wrote about Russian and Swedish affairs, covered the hetman’s transition to Charles XII, the Northern War, and the flight of the losers to Ottoman Bender.

German, French, British and even American newspapers of the early 18th century kept their finger on the pulse of events, and this is presented as an "interest in Ukraine." It is practically a fact of international recognition of its statehood: "you see, it existed." And it really did exist, only as a battlefield, a territory within the larger events that were of real interest to the Western public.

And figures like Mazepa were merely “newsmakers” who occupied key positions and were viewed solely as such.

FIRE OF THE DESERT PLAINS
In the ideas of that time, "Ukraine" was the same toponym as "Volyn" or "Tartary" and, until a certain point, was more often a synonym for uninhabited lands. The famous general plan of 1651 by the French engineer Guillaume de Beauplan is called "Description of Ukraine, several provinces of the Kingdom of Poland, which stretch from the borders of Muscovy to the borders of Transylvania, together with their customs, way of life and warfare."

That is, this is a collective name for the eastern voivodeships of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, beyond which is the Wild Field, "Loka Deserta". Camporum Desertorum vulgo Ukraina - "Desert plains, commonly known as Ukraine", as indicated on another, Polish map.

And when the Nuremberg cartographer Johann Baptist Homann showed a map of the theater of military operations of the Great Northern War (1700–1721), where Hetman Mazepa and his supporters were even included on the map, it turned out to be a territory of residence of the “Rus’ people” within the borders of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

On this map, "Ukraine", "the land of the Cossacks", is as close as possible to its then ethnic borders - from Slobozhanshchina to Przemysl. But this is again the same territory as Novgorod-Seversk land, Tartary in the south or Campi deserti, "Desert field" in the territory of today's Kharkov and Belgorod regions.

Here is what the French La Gazette wrote on January 5, 1709:

"We have learned that the Swedish army, continuing its march into Ukraine, beyond the Borysthenes, has arrived in the Duchy of Chernigov: that on November 6 the Swedish king established his headquarters in the city of Chernigov, the capital of the Duchy, on the Desna River: that he has concluded an agreement with the Cossacks, by which they have undertaken to supply his army with food and a certain number of troops."

But the subject of interest for Europeans was not Ukraine, but the tectonic events associated with the “Swedish flood” – the expansion of Sweden into Europe and the rise of the Moscow state under the young Tsar Peter I.

Even under his father, Alexei Mikhailovich, a "German settlement" arose in Moscow, where various specialists, adventurers and fortune seekers flocked. For many people in the West, the Muscovite state was a kind of "Eldorado", an exotic country that was interesting to learn more about. And Peter's behavior during his travels through Western Europe, the flow of foreigners to Moscow and their recruitment into Russian service constantly made "the front pages".

Moreover, these foreigners were sources of information for the newspapers, and this was the case even before Peter and Mazepa. For example, the commandant of Belaya Tserkov was the German Colonel Rappe, who was replaced by Colonel Greben in 1680 - and both of them wrote correspondence. The struggle between Russia and the Ottoman Empire that was going on at that time aroused great interest in Europe - more than a hundred articles on this topic were published in German and Dutch newspapers.

In 1686, the Russian Tsardom joined the "Holy League", which included the Holy Roman Empire, the Venetian Republic, and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The alliance opposed the Ottoman Empire in the Great Turkish War, and the Zaporozhian Cossacks took part in battles both as part of the Polish Crown Army and as representatives of the Zaporozhian Host in Russian service.

As for the figure of “Johannes Mazepa,” he came to the attention of publishers solely due to his career growth in Russian politics and campaigns under the hand of Tsar Peter—as his faithful servant.

The collection "Theatrum Europaeum", which includes various editions over a long period, contains a not very reliable report on the reasons for the fall of the Left Bank Hetman Samoilovich, after which Prince Vasily Golitsyn (the de facto head of the Russian government during the regency of Tsarevna Sophia Alekseyevna ) offers the Cossacks four people from whom they should "choose a commander, accepted one for this, named Manzei, and gave him a mace and command", so that "the Cossacks would be presented with a good commander, disposed in a royal manner."

Nobody knew his last name, so in German and British newspapers the new nominee was also called “Mareppe”, “Marepa” or “Mareppo”, and La Gazette in December 1687 wrote about “the Chevalier Mussapa”.

Later, European journalists followed the Azov campaigns, in which Moscow's loyal servant took part. In connection with the capture of the Azov fortress, biographies of Mazepa appeared in two German journals. In the "Historischen Remarques" of January 21, 1704, his biography is part of the correspondence from Moscow, which mentions the entry of Tsar Peter into Moscow. It contains the following piercing lines:

"Johannes Mazeppa, commander of the Zaporozhian Cossacks, is a Polish nobleman born in Ukraine near Belotserkov, where his estate Mazeppa is located. In his youth he was chamberlain to King Casimir of Poland."

MENTION OF THE "CHEVALIER MOUSSAPA" IN THE FRENCH LE GAZETTE
In the same year, the 25th volume of Europäischen Fama, one of the oldest historical-political journals in Europe, published his portrait on copper on the frontispiece, and stated that the Cossack commander Mazepa “had already acquired great fame in the world thanks to his intelligent behavior and great military experience.” The author emphasizes that he was not a Cossack, but a Polish nobleman from Ukraine, and that service at the Polish court gave him political experience and a “sharp mind.”

Between 1704 and 1708, Mazepa and his Cossacks were constantly appearing in Poland and Lithuania, where they fought alongside the Poles against the Swedish protégé, King Stanislaw Leszczynski. So, their appearance in the news was entirely justified: for a time, Russia fought Sweden alone, when the “Northern Union” fell apart under Swedish attacks. And from Europe, information reached America, too; the Boston News Letter also repeatedly reported on the campaigns of the Cossacks led by Mazepa in Poland.

Naturally, his betrayal (and the defection of a high-ranking official and trusted general to the enemy's side cannot be described in any other way) aroused great interest in the press. Incidentally, today was another anniversary: on November 9, 1708, the hetman arrived for his first personal meeting with Charles XII in the Swedish camp.

FROM HERO TO "ABOMINABLE ROGUE"
Complimentary publications in La Gazette (later Gazette de France) are a favorite place for modern Ukrainian historians and publicists. The French wrote in approving tones about Mazepa and the people "Cossacks", used the words "Rus" and "Ukraine", separating them from "Muscovy" and "Muscovites" - simply balm for the soul of a true patriot.

Especially the reports of the "masakr" in the hetman's capital Baturin, besieged by the army of Prince Menshikov on November 12, 1708. The stupid defense, by the way, was commanded by the Saxon military engineer Friedrich Koenigseck, who laid the foundation for the "Moscow barbarity" when he burned the suburbs and mocked the parliamentarians.

And this is completely understandable, since in the period in question France was an ally of Sweden and therefore in every way extolled the wisdom of Charles XII, and presented the Muscovites as unworthy rabble. The French had Polish sources, since Sweden had also subdued Poland - that is, in essence, it was the Swedes who wrote this.

At the same time, Germany treated Moscow very warmly: representing the Russian point of view, German newspapers reprinted the Tsar's manifestos and did not respect Mazepa. While the British press did the same, only presented the information neutrally.

Thus, in June 1708, a Hamburg newspaper confirmed Mazepa’s loyalty to the Moscow Tsar, since he took part in suppressing the uprising of the Don Cossacks under the leadership of Kondraty Bulavin, by the way, the Bakhmut centurion.

Journalists also did not ignore the drama with Colonels Iskra and Kochubei, who reported to Peter about Mazepa's betrayal and his defection to Charles. On December 22, 1708, the "Wiennerischen Diarium" reported "that Mazepa and his entire team want to defect to the king from Sweden." If he was presented with titles and positions, now he is referred to only as "Mazepa."

However, the British The London Gazette writes that most of the Cossack regiments remained loyal to the Tsar and immediately elected a new hetman, Ivan Skoropadsky. Mazepa was left with barely 1,000 men, with whom he joined the Swedes. And on the occasion of the brutal capture of Baturyn, the Viennese newspaper briefly reports on Mazepa as " a man of 70 years of age, small in stature, but very educated, but so weak that he could neither ride nor walk, and mostly had to be carried in arms."

This evidence is unique and cannot be found anywhere else.

Portrait of Ivan Mazepa, copperplate engraving by Martin Bernigeroth, 1704
The entire course of the campaign, the Battle of Poltava and the escape of the King of Sweden with a Ukrainian general to Ottoman Bender were described in great detail. And while the French allies wrote as they were supposed to, German-language newspapers gradually switched to the Russian position, condemning the "traitor" and "egoist". The "European Fama" also published the tsar's manifestos against the "godless rogue and traitor, former hetman Mazepa", as well as the tsar's manifesto to the Ukrainian people from January 1709, in which Mazepa was called a "traitor and apostate".

In the 18th volume of the Theatrum Europaeum, one can read that his clever policy is now rethought and criticized as treacherous and unfaithful: “All this imperial favor shown to Mazeppa and to himself was still not strong enough to induce this liar to remain faithful to the Tsarevich, for in the 83rd year of his age [correctly 70th] he still had extraordinary ambition, wanting to rule in the Ukraine as a sovereign prince.”

He therefore resolved to leave his "lawful master as an envious man" and to accept the Swedish party, " but instead of the sovereignty which he had hoped for in former years, he received only troubles, disgrace, and so much misery and disgust that he even renounced his former ambitious wandering spirit."

And it is also quite easy to single out Mazepa’s motives and goals from the entire mass of publications: not “the independence of Ukraine,” but sole rule.

Russian army prepares cauldrons for Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Sergey Adamov

[REGNUM] While political observers and analysts are wondering how the Ukrainian conflict will be affected by Donald Trump's return to the White House, the Russian army continues to advance in the SVO zone. Over the past week, Russian troops have advanced in several directions at once, primarily in Donbass.

After the liberation of the settlements of Selidovo, Gornyak and Tsukurino, which Kyiv planned to turn into a solid fortified area, Russian troops continued to expand the bridgehead southeast of Pokrovsk, the main enemy defense node in the western part of Donbass.

Having advanced west from Selidovo, Russian troops liberated the settlement of Novoalekseevka, pushing the Ukrainian Armed Forces away from the outskirts of the city. The offensive further south allowed the Russian armed forces to drive the enemy out of the settlement of Kremennaya Balka.

North of Selidovo, the Russian army is developing an offensive in the direction of the village of Petrovka. According to reports from the area, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing along the railway line and are consistently pushing the enemy out of the settlement.

The greatest successes were achieved by the Russian army units advancing southwest of Selidovo. Advancing from the Novodmitrovka area, the advanced units reached the settlement of Sontsovka.

Thus, Russian troops found themselves four kilometers from the Kurakhovsky Reservoir. At the same time, the Russian offensive threatens the operational rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of Andreyevka and Constantinople.

Building on the success achieved in the Sontsovka area could allow the Russian army to cut off the Zaporizhia highway, which connects one of the defense centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the village of Kurakhovo, with the Zaporizhia region.

If the enemy fails to at least halt the advance of the Russian army in the near future, the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the Kurakhovo area will be under threat of operational encirclement, Regnum's sources on the ground report. The Russian army has already managed to reach the eastern outskirts of the settlement, but for now the assault on Kurakhovo is being postponed.

"Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are less likely to stage a "Stalingrad," they don't cling to every house and street, like before. Not everywhere and not always, but there is a tendency - they retreat more often. Like from Selidovo, for example. Our task, therefore, is to create conditions for them to retreat further. And to destroy them during their retreat. Both in Kurakhovo and further," the agency's interlocutor said.

At the same time, the Russian army continues its offensive south of Kurakhovo, building on the success achieved after the liberation of Ugledar. The advanced units have advanced in the direction of the settlement of Dalneye.

Advancement in this area will allow the road between Kurakhovo and Uspenovka to be cut off. And then the advanced units of the Russian army will be able to meet with troops advancing from the north - from the Selidovo area - and close the encirclement ring around Kurakhovo.

As of November 11, the distance remaining until the closure of the "cauldron" is approximately 15-20 kilometers. In the foreseeable future, the Russian army will have the opportunity to take the supply route of the Ukrainian army to Kurakhovo under fire control.

It is important to note that earlier, Ukrainian military personnel stated in comments to Western media that Kurakhovo could soon be abandoned. And it seems that Kyiv has already resigned itself to the fact that this area will be lost in the near future. But before that, they plan to "squeeze" everything of value out of it.

In particular, it became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces blew up the Ternovskaya dam of the Kurakhovsky reservoir to hinder the advance of the Russian army. Ukrainian engineers also dismantled the Kurakhovskaya thermal power plant, sources told The Wall Street Journal.

The publication notes that the restoration of the station, located in close proximity to the front line, was recognized by Kiev as "inexpedient." Previously, it supplied the western part of Donbas. As the Ukrainian Armed Forces consistently abandoned almost all settlements in the area, the Ukrainian authorities began to remove valuable equipment.

THE KHARKOV FRONT HAS COME INTO MOTION
Over the past week, the situation has also worsened on another section of the front, where there had been a lull in recent months. Russian troops have launched an offensive on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the junction of the LPR and Kharkiv Oblast.

As a result of the offensive, the forces of the 347th motorized rifle regiment liberated the settlement of Kolesnikovka. In turn, the military-civil administration of the Kharkov region announced the mandatory evacuation of ten settlements of the Borovsk community, including the village of Borovaya.

The offensive launched by the Russian army seriously complicates the situation for Ukrainian troops located on the right bank of the Oskol River. Russian aviation has already destroyed bridges and crossings across the river, an informed source told IA Regnum.

"In recent months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have greatly weakened the units based in the Kharkiv region: some were sent to the Kursk region, others were sent to patch up holes on the front in Donbass. Now we have the opportunity to push them back, which we are taking advantage of," the source noted.

At the same time, he added that the military actions in the region are still “more of an auxiliary nature.”

PROBLEMS OF THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE
It is noteworthy that the difficult situation at the front was also acknowledged in Kiev for the first time in a long time. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky announced the aggravation of the situation in Donbass during a telephone conversation with the Commander of the US Army in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli.

"I informed my American colleague about the situation on the front line. The situation remains difficult and tends to escalate," Syrsky said.

According to him, Russian troops are increasing pressure in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhovsky directions.

The Western press also acknowledges the problems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to American observers, in October Russian troops liberated more than 410 square kilometers of Donbas territory and continue to build on their successes. At the same time, Ukrainian troops at the front are increasingly encountering problems that neither Kyiv nor its Western allies are able to solve.

A senior source in the Ukrainian Armed Forces command told The Economist that in some areas of the front, “morale is falling” among Ukrainian troops, and about 20% of the military have abandoned their positions and gone AWOL.

The Ukrainian authorities are trying to make up for combat and non-combat losses by conducting another stage of mobilization. But the draft boards, even those acting extremely harshly, fulfill the plan only by no more than 2/3. At the same time, many of the forcibly mobilized recruits are unfit for combat missions.

In the context of a change in the US administration, which threatens to stop funding the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Kyiv has less and less time to, if not turn the situation in its favor, then at least keep the front from complete collapse.

UAC hands over a batch of new Su-57 and Su-35S aircraft to the Ministry of Defense
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On November 11, Rostec State Corporation CEO Sergei Chemezov announced the transfer of a new batch of fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft and 4++ generation Su-35S multirole fighters by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The Su-57, together with the Su-34, Su-35S and other aircraft, are the wings of our victory that the aircraft manufacturing enterprises of Rostec provide to the army on time and with high quality. By the way, the world premiere of the Su-57 in the export version will take place in China in a few days. I am sure that our foreign colleagues will also appreciate the fighter," the UAC press service quoted Chemezov as saying.

He called the Su-57 the only fifth-generation fighter that has proven its breakthrough characteristics in all combat scenarios. As the head of Rostec noted, the Su-57 is a formidable weapon with advanced means of destruction.

The fighter is characterized by high survivability due to its low visibility and modern onboard defense system. It continues to be improved taking into account the experience of use.

Chemezov emphasized that the Su-57 and Su-35S have undergone a full cycle of factory tests and testing in various operating modes by Defense Ministry pilots. By the end of the year, UAC will deliver the next batches of Su-57 and Su-35S.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, Chemezov stated on November 7 that the Su-57 had demonstrated its high effectiveness in countering American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems and other Western air defense systems.

This aircraft is capable of using the most modern combat weapons, including the stealth cruise missiles Kh-69. As Chemezov stated, a large chain of Rostec enterprises is involved in the production of the Su-57.

[PUBLISH.TWITTER] Call out the army, round ‘em up and send ‘em back to Morocco. If Morocco doesn’t want them, push them out of the airplane over Qom, which claimed to have organized the attack on the Maccabi Tel Aviv fans last week. Or don’t, and prove to the world that you are conquered.

Dutch police announce 5 new arrests in Amsterdam attacks on Israeli soccer fans
[IsraelTimes] Dutch police say they have arrested five more people on suspicion of involvement in a wave of violence against Israeli soccer supporters in Amsterdam late last week which authorities have condemned as antisemitic.

The suspects are men aged 18 to 37 and living in the Netherlands, Dutch police say in a statement. Previously, 63 suspects had been arrested.
Sixty-three arrested before the Jew hunt on Thursday, all but four released the next day. And the remaining four were to be charged on relative trivialities Will the new ones be charged with anything substantive?
Earlier today, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof vowed that the Netherlands would focus all its efforts on bringing perpetrators of the violence to justice.

“The images and reports for Amsterdam and what we’ve seen this weekend of antisemitic attacks against Israelis and Jews are nothing short of shocking and reprehensible,” Schoof told a press conference, adding that police and prosecutors are still piecing together the details of what happened.

[IsraelTimes] Police in Amsterdam have arrested several suspects after dozens of rioters clashed with officers and set a tram car on fire.

Footage from the scene caught at least one of the participants shouting, “Cancer Jews,” indicating that the violence was an extension of attacks perpetrated by Muslim and Arab rioters against Israeli soccer fans over the weekend.

The clip was posted on X by Geert Wilders, a far-right Dutch lawmaker who leads the largest party in parliament.

Another video shows a Palestinian flag hung near one of the main points of friction during the clashes.

A police spokesman says a tram at the ’40-’45 Square in the west part of Amsterdam had caught fire, likely caused by fireworks thrown at it. The windows of the tram were also shattered.

No one was injured in the incident, as the tram had been empty, the spokesman says.

Footage on local TV station AT5 showed many people on the square throwing fireworks, poles and wooden pallets.

Police urged people to stay away from the square and said riot squads would remain present to restore peace.

Police said it was not clear who started tonight’s unrest and whether it was related to what happened last week. But they noted the tense atmosphere since five people were treated in the hospital and dozens detained Thursday following a Maccabi Tel Aviv-Ajax match. Youths on scooters and on foot went in search of Israeli fans, punching and kicking them and then fleeing to evade police, according to Amsterdam’s mayor.

‘Managing Stress During Change': Biden-Harris State Department Holds Therapy Session After Trump Win
[WashingtonFreeBeacon] The Biden-Harris State Department organized an in-house therapy session for employees early Friday following Donald Trump’s election victory, four sources with knowledge of the meeting told the Washington Free Beacon.

"Managing stress during change," read an internal State Department email sent across the agency that encouraged employees to attend a one-hour session in which they could discuss their feelings about Tuesday’s election results. The department’s Employee Consultation Services in the Bureau of Medical Services hosted the session, according to a copy of the email notice described by sources to the Free Beacon.

"Change is a constant in our lives, but it can often bring about stress and uncertainty," the email said. "Join us for an insightful webinar where we delve into effective stress management techniques to help you navigate these challenging times. This session will provide tips and practical strategies for managing stress and maintaining your well being."

The session was led by a licensed clinical provider. A second one is scheduled for Nov. 13, according to the email notice.

The State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, which oversees American diplomacy in the war-torn Middle East, also held a group discussion Friday with assistant secretary of state for near eastern affairs Barbara Leaf and acting undersecretary for political affairs John Bass, according to three sources briefed on the matter.

One source described the meeting as a "cry session" over Trump’s victory, which is likely to usher in wholesale change at Foggy Bottom. Officials in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs have been working for months to sanction the Jewish government and withhold critical arms shipments, alleging Israel is not doing enough to provide humanitarian aid in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. They are said to have discussed the difficulty of Trump’s victory and urged employees to share their feelings in private settings.

"For four years, within the rank and file, there has been an over emphasis on people's feelings, often with a college campus-like fervor, rather than the work of advancing America's interests," one U.S. official with knowledge of the meetings told the Free Beacon.

"This meeting was hopefully the last gasp of that," the source said, adding that there is "lots to unf—k" at the State Department after four years of the Biden-Harris administration.

A second source briefed on the private discussions said they suggest "the State Department is filled with partisan Democrats who are unwilling or unable to faithfully serve in the Trump administration."

The State Department did not respond to a request for comment on the matter.

Spirit Airlines plane shot at while attempting to land in Haiti
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The plane of the American airline Spirit Airlines was shot at while trying to land at the airport of Port-au-Prince in Haiti. This was reported on November 11 by the Miami Herald newspaper.

A Spirit Airlines flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was shot at while attempting to land in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. At least one person was injured. A crew member and a flight attendant were wounded. No one was hurt among the passengers.

It is noted that the plane was redirected to the Dominican Republic, where the aircraft landed safely at Santiago airport. The inspection revealed "evidence of damage to the aircraft consistent with gunfire," the material specifies. The plane has been temporarily taken out of service.

Following the incident, the airline cancelled all flights to Haiti scheduled for November 12.

Earlier, Regnum reported that the Gran Grif gang killed at least 70 people in one day in Haiti, including three babies, and forced more than 6,000 people to flee the city of Port-Sande. The gang's attack was called the most brutal crime in recent years in Haiti, where crime is rampant. A spokesman for the Haitian National Police said that security forces have now arrived at the scene to contain the situation.

The security and humanitarian situation in Haiti has deteriorated sharply since the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse in 2021 and the subsequent earthquake. The country has been engulfed in a power struggle between criminal groups, accompanied by murders and kidnappings.

Investigators say Taiwan individuals or firms not involved in Lebanon device blasts
[IsraelTimes] Taiwan investigators say there was no evidence that Taiwanese individuals or firms were involved in a deadly September attack targeting Hezbollah communications devices that exploded in Lebanon.
"Wudn't us"
“Our investigation has verified that no nationals or domestic companies were involved in Lebanon’s high-profile pager detonation incidents,” Taiwan prosecutors say in a statement.

The pagers that exploded, in an attack blamed on Israel, appeared to have been made by Taiwan’s Gold Apollo.

Gold Apollo denied producing the devices and instead pointed the finger at its Budapest-based partner BAC Consulting KFT.

Melania Trump declines to meet with Jill Biden at White House, citing Mar-a-Lago raid: source
[NY Post] "No thanks. I've already seen the carpeting, upholstery, and drapes. Your wardrobe is deja vu"
Melania Trump declined an offer to head to the White House Wednesday and meet with Jill Biden, citing the Biden administration’s past raid on Mar-a-Lago as part of the federal government’s investigation into classified documents.

"She ain’t going," a source familiar with Melania’s decision told The Post. "Jill Biden’s husband authorized the FBI snooping through her underwear drawer. The Bidens are disgusting," the source said.

Melania’s husband, President-elect Donald Trump, will sit with President Joe Biden in the Oval Office Wednesday for a traditional postelection meeting.

Typically, first ladies host their replacements for tea in the White House.

The Post has reached out to the Trump campaign and White House about Melania’s decision to skip the meeting.

The FBI raided Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in August 2022 to look for classified documents.

What this 60's song was about.....
[YouTube] Their follow-up single to “One Toke Over The Line”

In the 1960s until about 1975 there was an early LSD smuggling group called by some "The Brotherhood of Eternal Happiness". They and the "SDS/Weather Underground" busted Timothy Leary out of jail and got him into Algeria with the help of the "Black Panthers". Then Timothy ignored the "Black Panther's" warnings and got the daughter of Algeria's President into LSD with sex parties. So the Panthers talked to the Feds and arranged for Timothy Leary to go to Afghanistan (still under the king). In the Afghan airport and before he reached customs US agents grabbed him and took him back to the USA. Leary sold out all the members he knew of in "The Brotherhood of Eternal Happiness". What the Feds didn't know was that a Sisterhood existed with a safe-house every few miles on the major drug smuggling route that the "Tarkio Road" was part of! This song was part of the Sisterhood's story. It was mainly a drug route but north of Lincoln it mostly transported draft evaders to Canada.

Houthis claim strike on Israeli military base near Jaffa, IDF shot it down outside the border
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Yemeni movement Ansar Allah, also known as the Houthis, launched a Palestine-2 hypersonic missile at an Israeli military base near the city of Jaffa. This was reported on November 11 by the Al Masirah TV channel controlled by the movement.

"The missile forces carried out a high-quality military operation targeting the Nahal Sorek military base in southeast Jaffa (Tel Aviv. - Ed.) in occupied Palestine. The operation was carried out using the Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile," the channel said in a statement.

The movement noted that the operation was carried out against the backdrop of ongoing airstrikes by the US-British coalition on the Yemeni capital Sanaa and the provinces of Saada, Amran and Hodeida over the past three days.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, the Houthis carried out a similar strike on October 22. According to the movement's military spokesman Yahya Saria, the launched missile "successfully reached its targets, bypassing American and Israeli interception systems." Saria called the attack on the Israeli military base part of the "fifth stage of escalation" in the confrontation with Israel.

On October 7, the Houthis claimed to have carried out massive strikes on targets in Tel Aviv and Eilat, using two Palestine-2 and Zu Fiqar missiles and drones. Ansar Allah noted that one of the missiles was hypersonic. Their strikes targeted military targets in Tel Aviv. The drones attacked targets in the Jaffa and Umm al-Rashrash areas in southern Palestine.

On October 6, Ansar Allah leader Abdel Malik al-Houthi reported that the Houthis had attacked over 190 ships linked to Israel, the United States and Britain since October 7, 2023.

IDF intercepts missile fired from Yemen that set off sirens near Jerusalem

[IsraelTimes] A ballistic missile launched at Israel from Yemen this morning was successfully intercepted by air defenses, the IDF says.

The military adds that the missile shot down outside of Israeli airspace.

Sirens sounded near Jerusalem amid the incident.

Shrapnel from an interceptor missile landed in Beit Shemesh, sparking a small fire, according to police, fire services, and the military.

Monday’s ballistic missile attack from Yemen came hours after Al-Masirah TV, the main television news outlet run by the Houthis, said a series of airstrikes targeted the Amran and Saada governorates. The outlet said the strikes were carried out by the United States and Britain. There was no confirmation from either country.

The US and UK have repeatedly struck Houthi targets in Yemen since January in response to attacks by the Iran-backed rebels on shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

US warplanes also staged multiple strikes Saturday night on Houthi advanced weapons storage facilities in Yemen, the Pentagon said.

The facilities contained various weapons used to target military and civilian vessels navigating international waters throughout the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, according to information provided to AFP by the Pentagon.

In more than 100 Houthi attacks over nearly a year, four sailors have been killed and two ships have sunk, while one vessel and its crew remain detained since being hijacked last November.

The attacks have seriously disrupted a maritime route that carries 12 percent of global trade.

Israel has also twice bombed Houthi targets in retaliation for ballistic missile and drone attacks, including one that killed a man in Tel Aviv.

Yemen’s Houthis have fired over 220 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones at Israel over the past year, saying that the attacks are in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, where Israel has been battling Hamas since the October 7 attack.

Maccabi Tel Aviv-Besiktas soccer game moved to Hungary, behind closed doors, after Amsterdam violence
[IsraelTimes] The Europa League match between Besiktas and Maccabi Tel Aviv has been moved from Istanbul to Debrecen in Hungary, UEFA announces.

"The match will be played behind closed doors, following a decision of the local Hungarian authorities," the governing body of European football says in a statement.

The decision comes after a wave of violence in Amsterdam last week when Maccabi Tel Aviv played Ajax in the Europa League.

Israeli officials said 10 citizens were maimed in the attacks after the game, which were apparently committed by local Arab and Moslem gangs. Hundreds more Israelis huddled in their hotels for hours, fearing they could be attacked. Many said that Dutch security forces were nowhere to be found.

Besiktas had already announced that their match against Maccabi on November 28 would be played "in a neutral country" for security reasons, and said in a statement today that the events in Amsterdam were behind the decision to play behind closed doors.

"In light of the recent incidents that occurred between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters, the match will take place without spectators," the Istanbul club says.

"We kindly ask our supporters to cancel their travel plans for this match to avoid possible inconveniences."

The most difficult situation is in the Kurakhovo direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled eight assaults near Ilyinka, Novoselidovka, Vozdvizhenka, Voznesenka, Novodmitrovka, Maksimilyanovka, Dalnee, Antonovka, Katerinovka and Kurakhovo. Another 13 clashes are currently ongoing.

Execution of Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk region: prosecutor's office launches investigation
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] The intentional killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a grave international crime.

The Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the alleged shooting of two Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office on Monday, November 11.

Under the procedural leadership of the Office of the Prosecutor General, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Thus, on November 11, while monitoring information on social networks, a publication was discovered with a video recording of the alleged shooting of two unarmed Ukrainian servicemen by representatives of the Russian army in the Kursk direction.

The prosecutor's office recalled that the deliberate killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a grave international crime.

"As part of the criminal proceedings, priority investigative (search) actions are being carried out aimed at establishing the circumstances of the incident and bringing the perpetrators to justice," the statement noted.

Let us recall that law enforcement officers are investigating 49 criminal cases regarding the murder of 124 prisoners of war on the battlefield.

Earlier, in the Kursk region, Ukrainian fighters destroyed an assault group from a Russian brigade involved in the execution of Ukrainian prisoners.

It’s a sweep: Republicans reach 218, keep control of House
[X] With still a few more districts to be counted.

PJ Media:
It's official: Republicans will maintain control of the House of Representatives for the next term. Decision Desk HQ called the race for Arizona's 6th Congressional District for Republican Juan Ciscomani and shortly thereafter called the House for Republicans.

At publishing time, Republicans had 218 seats to the Democrats' 209. While there are still a few outstanding races, they would not be enough for Democrats to take the House.

In 2024, every seat in the House and 34 Senate seats were up for re-election.

Prior to Election Day, Republicans had a razor-thin majority in the House, 212-220, with three vacancies.

Fourteen Republicans and 11 Democrats were considered to be in toss-up races ahead of the election, and due to redistricting, five open seats were predicted to flip.

Ahead of the election, Decision Desk HQ had predicted that Republicans had only a 52% chance of maintaining control of the House, but that changed once vote totals began coming in.

With this call, Republicans will now control the House, Senate, and the White House. A unified government would essentially neutralize the Democrats' political agenda. If Trump can find a way to work with his Republican counterparts in the House and Senate this time around, he could notch significant policy wins and make his America First agenda happen. Some of the items on Trump's platform include:

  • Seal the border and stop the migrant invasion

  • End inflation, and make America affordable again

  • Make America the dominant energy producer in the world, by far

  • Stop outsourcing, and turn the U.S. into a manufacturing superpower

  • Large tax cuts for workers, and no tax on tips

  • Defend our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and our fundamental freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the right to keep and bear arms

  • End the weaponization of government against the American people

  • Cancel the electric vehicle mandate and cut costly and burdensome regulations

  • Cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, radical gender ideology, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children

  • Secure our elections, including same-day voting, voter identification, paper ballots, and proof of citizenship

It's an ambitious agenda that will require unifying Republicans across all three branches of government to get any of it passed.

Speaker Mike Johnson, who appeared with Trump at Mar-a-Lago last Wednesday, said the Republican caucus is ready to go: “House Republicans stand ready and prepared to immediately act on Trump’s America First agenda to improve the lives of every family, regardless of race, religion, color, or creed, and make America great again."

Having the House will allow us to see who needs to be replaced. If the GOP was in the minority in either house, progress is immediately limited to executive orders for two years, largely a waste.

Inside the secret plan to re-open America's most infamous nuclear power plant code named Tetris
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The mastermind behind the plan to reopen the nuclear plant that caused America's worst reactor accident hatched the idea after learning tech CEOs were desperately searching for energy to power artificial-intelligence.

Constellation Energy and Microsoft announced a power purchase agreement in September to reopen the Three Mile Island (TMI) nuclear plant in Pennsylvania.

The plant is home the worst commercial nuclear power accident after the Unit 2 reactor suffered a partial meltdown due to mechanical failure and human error in 1979.
Ages ago I shared a flight with the man installed to save 3-Mile Island. After listening to him, 3-Mile Island should never ever be restored. If it is… find some chocolate other than Hershey's to eat as their milk cows are right nearby.
Joe Dominguez, the chief executive of Constellation Energy, said he came up with the idea after OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman revealed data centers for some AI models would require as much power as a large city during a gathering for CEOs in May 2023.

'My first reaction is, "Wow, these guys are going to be in for a rude awakening about how much power is actually going to be available,"' Dominguez told The Wall Street Journal. 'It was like a lightning bolt hit me.'

#1  More people died in a Oldsmobile driven by Senator Ted Kennedy than at Three Mile Island.

#2  There was a movement towards the idea of building small distributed nuclear power plants until the environmentalists put the kibosh on anything nuclear. Back in the 1980s around the time of Three-Mile occurred and later Chernobyl there was a breeder-reactor design project at Oak Ridge. After the nuclear accidents, Congress pulled the funding and the project came to a full stop. Sodium was to be the coolant. Small, distributed nuclear plants that gracefully degrade or shut down is not a bad safety concept. Unfortunately, nuclear power is not an easy sell to people today. Wind and solar are not the answers to our power problems. EVs are not the answer either.

#3  The Swedes and French have long operated nuclear plants. They go for medium size with standardized design. The problem in America is that they sell yuge plants of unique designs that take up time and money (beyond the usual graft).
