Scott Presler to PA Dems Who Tried to Steal the Election: We're Coming for You; GOP Senate Majority Reaches 53
Check out his speech.
[Townhall] Incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) finally conceded last night. It took two weeks longer than it should have, but Mr. Casey finally threw in the towel. Republican Dave McCormick is now officially Senator-elect McCormick. There were shenanigans where local Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
openly defied election law, leading to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court shutting down their scheme to count illegal ballots. It was all captured on video with Bucks County’s Democratic commissioners.

President-elect Donald J. Trump won this crucial county for the first time since Bush 41. Mr. McCormick didn’t win but did well enough to squeak past Casey, who only won here by a 49/48 margin. Activist Scott Presler did the Lord’s work for months, moving to the Keystone State before the 2024 cycle and engaging in voter registration drives that tipped the balance—the Democratic voter advantage in Pennsylvania has been chipped away by the hundreds of thousands.

Presler was instrumental in ensuring that people who were early voting in Bucks could get their votes counted. There was a minor controversy when voters got turned away early, leading to a Republican lawsuit. A judge sided with the Trump camp and extended the early voting period. Presler didn’t forget what Bucks County Democrats tried to pull off here, which was stealing an election. The activist warned that he plans to ensure they update their resumes in their next election. He gave them a chance to resign to avoid such a challenge.

Trump names hedge fund manager Scott Bessent as his nominee to head US Treasury, and 8 more proposals
[IsraelTimes] US President-elect Donald Trump
...The cad! Twice caught beating wimmin!...
names billionaire Scott Bessent as his Treasury secretary, choosing the hedge fund manager to help execute an agenda promising tax cuts and tariffs.

Bessent, who is chief executive officer of Key Square Group, has called for an extension of tax cuts from Trump’s first term, wants to reassert American energy dominance, and believes it is necessary to deal with the budget deficit.

"Scott is widely respected as one of the world’s foremost international investors and geopolitical and economic strategists," Trump says in a statement.

"He will help me usher in a new Golden Age for the United States, as we fortify our position as the world’s leading economy," he says, adding Bessent will also help "reinvigorate the private sector, and help curb the unsustainable path of federal debt."

The nomination of Bessent — who recently served as an economic advisor to Trump — will put him at the forefront of rolling out the president-elect’s economic plan, from seeing tax cuts through Congress to managing ties with countries like China.

The position carries influence over both domestic and international policy.

Bessent, who is from South Carolina, attended Yale University and served as chief investment officer of Soros Fund Management, the macroeconomic investment firm of billionaire George Soros
...either Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Auric Goldfinger come true...
In 2015, he raised capital, including $2 billion from Soros, to start his own hedge fund.

Trump Drops a Flurry of Nominees to Head FDA, OMB, CDC, and HUD

[Townhall] It’s been another crazy night of Trump nominations, with Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-OR) and Scott Bessent being tapped to lead the Department of Labor and the Treasury Department, respectively. Bessent’s nomination rounds out the Big Four of the Trump administration—attorney general, defense secretary, treasury, and secretary of state—but Ms. Chavez DeRemer might have some trouble due to her support of the Protecting the Right to Organize Act.

Still, that didn’t stop the president-elect from naming people to helm the Food and Drug Administration, Housing and Urban Development, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Office of Management and Budget tonight. Mr. Trump also named who he wants to be surgeon general:
Herewith the list. Details at the link.
  • Dr. Janette Nesheiwat for surgeon general

  • Dr. Dave Weldon to head the CDC

  • Marty Makary for the FDA

  • Scott Turner at HUD

  • Russell Thurlow Vought for OMB

  • Sebastian Gorka as senior White House advisor for counterterrorism

  • Alex Wong as a national security advisor

Report: Recent IDF strike in Syria killed senior Hezbollah commander behind deadly 2007 attack on US troops
[IsraelTimes] A recent IDF airstrike in Syria killed a senior Hezbollah commander who helped plan a deadly attack on US soldiers in Iraq in 2007, NBC News reports, citing a senior US defense official.

Ali Mussa Daqduq played a key role in the Karbala raid in which terrorists disguised as an American security team entered a base before opening fire and killing five US soldiers.

He was subsequently captured by US forces but later released by the Iraqi government following the American military withdrawal.

NBC says it’s not clear yet when the IDF strike that killed Daqduq took place.

Charges dropped against keffiyeh-clad protester for violating NY county’s mask ban
[IsraelTimes] District attorney says not possible to prove charges against pro-Palestinian demonstrator arrested outside synagogue ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’

Prosecutors in New York dropped charges Friday against a keffiyeh-wearing, pro-Paleostinian protester who was among the first people arrested under a local face mask ban that’s stirred free speech concerns.

Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly’s office confirmed it moved to dismiss the charges against Xavier Roa during a court hearing on Long Island.
He was leading the protest against a synagogue. ANSWER Coalition, formerly known as International ANSWER, yet another tentacle of the anarcho-communist Black Bloc movement organized a protest against his arrest, strongly suggesting Mr. Roa is a Black Bloc cadre.
"The case was investigated extensively and upon conclusion NCDA determined that the allegations could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt and moved to dismiss the charges," spokesperson Nicole Turso said in a statement.

Roa’s lawyer Geoffrey Stewart hailed the decision as a "big victory" for his client and "for civil liberties," but argued the law itself "should be struck from the books."

"This case shows that the law can, and in all likelihood will be abused by law enforcement because the law is unconstitutionally vague," he said in an email.

Stewart has maintained that Roa acted respectfully and complied with officers as he peacefully exercised his constitutionally protected free speech rights during a protest outside an Orthodox synagogue in September.

The North Bellmore resident was detained under Nassau County’s Mask Transparency Act, which bans people from wearing masks to conceal their identity in public. It includes exemptions for people who wear masks "for health, safety, religious or cultural purposes."

The county’s Republican-controlled Legislature approved the law in August in response to "antisemitic incidents, often perpetrated by those in masks" since the Hamas

Roa, who faced up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted of the misdemeanor charge, was the first protester arrested under the ban.

and other groups claimed at the time it was proof that the local law was being used as a "silencing tactic" against Paleostinian supporters.

Nassau County police said Roa had been attempting to conceal his identity as he led others in pro-Paleostinian chants. They also said he told officers he was wearing the scarf in solidarity with Paleostinians and not for exempted medical or religious purposes.

In videos showing some of the arrest, Roa wears the keffiyeh around his neck as he’s led away in handcuffs.

Analysts warn ICC arrest warrants could pave way to future arms embargoes on Israel
[IsraelTimes] Reinvigorated Dutch court case demanding end of weapons sales to Israel demonstrates possible fallout from The Hague’s ruling against Netanyahu and Gallant over war against Hamas

Pro-Paleostinian, anti-Israel activists told a Dutch court on Friday that the Netherlands is violating international law by selling weapons to Israel, demonstrating the potential for arms embargoes against Israel due to the International Criminal Court’s decision to issue arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

If The Hague District Court supports the activists’ complaint, the Netherlands will be banned from sending arms or weapons parts to Israel. The court will rule on December 13. The Netherlands has already halted the export of F-35 fighter jet parts to Israel following a similar case earlier this year.

The complaint illustrates analysts’ warnings that Israel could face arms embargos as a result of Thursday’s ICC decision, which said there were grounds to believe Israel had targeted civilians and used starvation as a weapon of war.

Citing legal scholar Eran Shamir-Borer — formerly a member of the IDF’s international legal team — Haaretz military analyst Amos Harel said the ICC decision could lead to arms embargoes by "Western countries that have hitherto satisfied themselves with more lenient steps against Israel."

Though the decision relates to Netanyahu and Gallant as individuals rather than Israel as a state, it could still bolster challenges demanding an arms embargo against Israel, as numerous states have provisions against selling arms to nations that might use them in ways that violate international humanitarian law.

The Netherlands, which hosts the ICC and is a signatory of its founding charter, the Rome Statute, was one of the European countries to say it would be obligated to arrest Netanyahu and Gallant should they set foot there.

The United States — the source of just under 70% of Israel’s arms imports — "fundamentally" rejected the court’s decision. Like Israel, the US is not a member of the ICC; a day before the court’s ruling, the US Senate voted decisively against a bill calling for an end to the sale of offensive weapons to Israel, though a third of Democratic senators supported the motion.

Germany, which is a member of the ICC, has indicated it would respect the court’s rulings, but did not commit to ending its robust arms trade with Israel. Germany is the source of some 30% of Israel’s arms imports, making it Israel’s second-biggest arms supplier after the US.

Assaf Uni, a Berlin-based correspondent for Israeli market daily Globes, cited German media as saying Jerusalem had committed to Berlin in writing that German arms would not be used in a way that violates international law — presumably giving the German government legal cover in case of challenges to its arms trade with Israel.

"The ICC will weaken the German government’s case, if pro-Paleostinian organizations petition the court on this matter, as they have in the past," wrote Uni, noting that concerns German arms would be used illegally have "now received high-level legal validation."

Neve Gordon, a professor of international law at Queen Mary University of London, was cited by Al Jazeera as saying the ICC’s decision had "made a certain demand on Western countries" regarding "the kind of trade agreements that they have with Israel — first and foremost with the trade relating to arms."

"If leaders of Israel are charged with crimes against humanity, then this means that the weapons provided by Western nations are being used to commit crimes against humanity," said Gordon.

He told Al Jazeera that most countries’ arms contracts include a memorandum that lays out the conditions for the deal, specifically that they "cannot send weapons to an entity that uses the weapons to carry out serious violations of international humanitarian law."

"I assume NGOs within the countries will file petitions in the domestic courts to question the legality of continuing to send arms to Israel," said Gordon.

Even before the ICC decision, the specter of an arms embargo has hung over Israel, with more than 50 countries — including Russia and China — joining Ottoman Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s letter to the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
earlier this month demanding Israel be embargoed.

Nor has the sentiment been exclusive to Israel’s adversaries. French President Emmanuel Macron claimed last month that an arms embargo is the only way to end the war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
. In September, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer halted the delivery of some weapons over stated concerns they could be used to commit war crimes, but stopped short of calling for a full embargo. Canada’s Foreign Minister Melanie Joly also announced in September that she was suspending some 30 permits for arms shipments to Israel, saying Ottawa would not have "arms or parts of arms be sent to Gaza."

After the ICC’s decision Thursday, La Belle France and Britannia indicated they would respect the court’s rulings, while Canada said explicitly it would comply with the arrest warrants. All three are signatories of the Rome Statute.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, bullets whapped! around Butch as he tried to tie his scarf around his shoulder as a tourniquet......
in the Netherlands, the ten activist groups demanding an end to arms sales to Israel pointed to the separate legal proceeding against Jerusalem at the UN’s highest court, the International Court of Justice.

The ICJ case, brought by South Africa, accuses Israel of genocide, and the court found in January that Paleostinians had plausible grounds to request protection from the crime. Because the ICJ looks at other court rulings, the ICC decision could further sway it against Israel.

The activist groups claimed the ICJ’s opinion confirmed the Netherlands was obliged to stop selling arms to Israel.

"The government uses my own tax money, that I pay, to kill my own family. I’ve lost 18 members of my own family," Ahmed Abofoul, legal adviser for the pro-Paleostinian organization al-Haq, told a full courtroom.

"This is the result of the complicity of governments for decades," he told news hounds after the hearing.

The Dutch state denied it was violating the 1948 Genocide Convention, which requires signatories to do everything they can to prevent and punish genocide, and argued that the court should not take the role of the state in setting foreign policy.

Jerusalem has strongly rejected the accusation of genocide, claiming it is engaging in legitimate self-defense after thousands of Hamas

Fifth Column
Trump’s AG nominee has called for FBI to question pro-Hamas campus protesters
[IsraelTimes] Pam Bondi also said those backing Palestinian terror group ‘need to be taken out of our country,’ a step which GOP platform advocates for noncitizens

Pam Bondi, whom US President-elect Donald Trump
...So far he's been unkillable, and they've tried....
has tapped to be his attorney general, said last year that campus protesters who express support for Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
should face FBI questioning.

Trump named Bondi, who served as Florida attorney general from 2011 to 2019, on Thursday. The nomination came after his first pick, the scandal-plagued former Florida representative Matt Gaetz, withdrew following meetings with Republican senators, who apparently made clear that allegations of sexual predation and drug use, which he has denied, would bury him.

Bondi’s confirmation process is expected to face fewer hurdles.

On Friday, Jewish Insider uncovered an interview Bondi gave Newsmax, the conservative news outlet, last year about the spike in anti-Israel protests on American campuses following Hamas’s October 7 attack, which sparked Israel’s multi-front war.

"The thing that really was troubling to me, these students in universities in our country — whether they’re here as Americans or if they’re here on student visas — and they’re out there saying, ’I support Hamas,’" she said in the October 23, 2023, interview. "Frankly, they need to be taken out of our country, or the FBI needs to be interviewing them right away when they’re saying, ’I support Hamas. I am Hamas.’ That’s not saying I support all these poor Paleostinians who are trapped in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
A number of protests in the weeks after the attacks included people who praised the attacks, although most of the protesters focused on condemning Israel’s counterattacks and on the suffering of Gaza Paleostinians. Over the past year-plus, some hardline pro-Paleostinian activists have continued to evince support for Hamas.

The Republican Party platform, released in July, calls for the deportation of noncitizens who back Hamas and terrorism, and pledges to "make our college campuses safe and patriotic again." Trump and his advisers have also called for deporting foreign students who organize pro-Hamas protests.

The platform does not recommend the investigation of Americans who express rhetorical support for the terrorist group, as Bondi did in her interview, a path that could trigger First Amendment challenges.

Bondi, one of Trump’s earliest and most steadfast backers in his bid for the presidency, advised him during his first impeachment proceedings. She has a record of pro-Israel statements, lining her up with most of Trump’s other cabinet picks, though she has also lobbied for Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...

[IsraelTimes] Unverified report from Britain-based war monitor also claims operatives from IRGC-backed Al-Nujaba group among 61 pro-Iran fighters killed in strike on city of Palmyra

A Britannia-based Syria war monitor said on Friday that Israeli strikes on the city of Palmyra this week killed 92 pro-Iran

The toll has risen to "92 dead: 61 Syrian pro-Iran fighters," 11 of them working for Hezbollah, "and 27 foreign nationals mostly from al-Nujaba, plus four from Hezbollah," the Observatory said.

SOHR, run by a single person, has regularly been accused by Syrian war analysts of false reporting and inflating casualty numbers as well as inventing them wholesale.

The UN deputy special envoy to Syria, Najat Rochdi, told the Security Council on Thursday that the raid was "likely the deadliest Israeli strike in Syria to date."

The Observatory said the strikes also targeted "a weapons depot near the industrial area" in Palmyra, a modern city adjacent to globally renowned Greco-Roman ruins.

Israel, which rarely comments on individual strikes in Syria, is believed to have carried out hundreds of strikes since the beginning of the Syrian civil war in 2011, mainly targeting army positions and Iran-backed fighters including from Lebanon’s Hezbollah terror group.

along with Hezbollah in Lebanon, Israel has escalated its strikes on Iranian-backed terror targets in Syria and has also struck Syrian army air defenses and some Syrian forces.

Israel has killed many of Hezbollah’s senior commanders in over a year of conflict, which began when the terror group began attacking Israeli communities and military posts along the border on a near-daily basis on October 8, 2023.

Strip, the Israel Defense Forces announced on Friday, noting that two were commanders who led the massacre and kidnapping of civilians from the Mefalsim area during the brutal attack.

The military said the strike overnight between Wednesday and Thursday in Beit Lahiya targeted a site where several Hamas operatives were gathered, including members of the terror group’s elite Nukhba Force who were involved in the massacre.

The two senior snuffies killed in the strike were named as Jihad Mahmoud Yahya Kahlout, a Nukhba Force company commander, and Muhammad Riad Ali Oukal, a Hamas company commander.

The IDF said that as well as leading the October 7 attack, the two had also been leading figures in fighting Israeli troops in northern Gaza amid the ongoing operation there.

The other snuffies killed in the strike were named as Anas Jalal Muhammad Abu Shakian, a Hamas commander who also participated in the attack on the Mefalsim area on October 7; Nur al-Din Muhammad Yahya Abu Jadian, a Nukhba member; and Sihab Hassan Ali Matar Adaim, a Hamas operative.

The area near the southern kibbutz was one of dozens of communities that Hamas snuffies targeted when they burst into Israel from across the Gaza border on October 7, 2023 killing some 1,200 people and seizing 251 hostages, mostly civilians, many amid acts of brutality and sexual assault.

Also Friday, the IDF and Shin Bet security agency announced that Khaled Abu Deqa, who commanded the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad

’s rocket unit, was killed in a Wednesday strike in the Deir al-Balah area of central Gaza.

The IDF said Abu Deqa, who was operating from within the Israeli-designated humanitarian zone in Deir al-Balah, was responsible for rocket fire on Israel amid the October 7 onslaught and during the war. He was also involved in numerous other attacks on Israel and IDF troops, the military added.

To mitigate civilian harm in the strike, the IDF said it used precision munition and aerial surveillance.

In a separate airstrike, in northern Gaza’s Jabalia, the IDF targeted a group of Hamas operatives trying to plant bombs, amid an ongoing military operation there.

The IDF released footage of the strike, adding that over 300 booby-trapped buildings had been discovered and neutralized by combat engineers during the operation in Jabalia.

The IDF releases footage showing a group of Hamas operatives being targeted in an airstrike while trying to plant bombs in northern Gaza's Jabalia, amid an ongoing military operation there.

Earlier this week, the military said that troops had killed over 1,300 terror operatives during the ongoing operation to stop Hamas from regrouping in the Jabalia area, which is being carried out by the 162nd Division.

More than 1,000 members of Hamas and other terror groups have also been detained, according to the military’s latest estimates released Tuesday, which added that some 100-200 operatives remain in the area.

According to the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza, thousands of people have been killed in the operation, though these figures cannot be verified and do not differentiate between civilians and fighters.

Israel has said it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stresses that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas including homes, hospitals, schools and mosques.

Israel’s toll in the ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza and in military operations along the border with the Strip stands at 380. The toll includes a police officer killed in a hostage rescue mission and a Defense Ministry civilian contractor.

Iran set to launch ‘advanced centrifuges’ after IAEA censure for noncooperation
[IsraelTimes] WSJ report shows Tehran’s October 1 missile attack on Israel forced commercial flights to change course; IRGC hails ICC arrest warrants for PM, Gallant

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
on Friday said it will launch a series of "new and advanced" centrifuges for uranium enrichment in response to a resolution adopted by the UN nuclear watchdog IAEA. The resolution, adopted Thursday, censured Tehran for failure to cooperate with the agency and demanded answers in a long-running investigation into uranium particles found at two locations that Tehran has failed to declare as nuclear sites.

"The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran issued an order to take effective measures, including launching a significant series of new and advanced centrifuges of various types," a joint statement issued by the Iranian organization and its foreign ministry said.

It added, however, that "technical and safeguards cooperation with the IAEA will continue, as in the past" and within the framework of agreements made by Iran.

Iran’s retaliatory measures "are reversible if this hostile action is withdrawn or negotiations are opened," Tehran-based political analyst Hadi Mohammadi told AFP.

The IAEA board’s condemnation of Iran on Thursday was its second in just five months.

Nineteen members of the IAEA board voted for the resolution, while Russia, China and Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president used to be Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and was chased out in 2014. Now it's the usual army officer type guy, Captain Ibrahim Traore, running things, who's just doing a bang-up job unless he's already been deposed...
opposed it, 12 abstained and one did not vote, according to diplomats who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe the outcome of the closed-door vote.

The resolution came on the heels of a confidential report earlier this week in which the IAEA said Iran has defied international demands to rein in its nuclear program and has increased its stockpile of uranium enriched to near weapons-grade levels.

That report, seen by The AP on Tuesday, said that as of October 26, Iran had accumulated 182.3 kilograms (401.9 pounds) of uranium enriched up to 60 percent, an increase of 17.6 kilograms (38.8 pounds) since the last IAEA report in August. Uranium enriched at 60% purity is just a short, technical step away from weapons-grade levels of 90%.

The resolution approved on Thursday requires the IAEA to now produce a "comprehensive and updated assessment" of Iran’s nuclear activities, which could eventually trigger a referral to the UN Security Council to consider more sanctions on Tehran.

Also on Friday, the head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps described the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant as fatal for Israel.

"This means the end and political death of the Zionist regime, a regime that today lives in absolute political isolation in the world and its officials can no longer travel to other countries," IRGC chief General Hossein Salami said in the speech aired on state TV. The IRGC is a US-designated terrorist group.

In the first official reaction by Iran, Salami called the ICC warrant "a welcome move" and a "great victory for the Paleostinian and Lebanese resistance movements," in reference to terror organizations supported by Tehran.

IRAN’S OCT. 1 MISSILE ATTACK FORCED COMMERCIAL FLIGHTS TO CHANGE COURSE
In separate Iran news, The Wall Street Journal reported that during Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Israel on October 1, dozens of aircraft were flying along a similar path as the missiles ascended, with some pilots and passengers seeing the projectiles as they streaked through the sky, mostly over Iran and Iraq.

Though ballistic missiles fly high above commercial airline paths, they present a danger during their ascent and descent.

Iran apparently gave no warning for flights to avoid the area as it launched its attack. With crews alarmed, many flights quickly changed their course due to the danger, the report said, using graphics to underline the risk that was posed to civilian aviation.

The report noted that Iranian strikes and Israeli counterstrikes continue to be on the table, with no clear solution to protect civilian flights.

Iran’s October 1 attack consisted of a massive salvo of some 200 ballistic missiles fired at Israel, sending most of the population rushing to bomb shelters and safe rooms. Tehran’s attack caused relatively minor damage to military bases and some residential areas, and killed a Paleostinian man in the West Bank.

The Israeli military acknowledged that some of its airbases were hit, but stressed that no harm was caused to the functioning of the Israeli Air Force. The missile impacts damaged office buildings and other maintenance areas in the bases, according to the military.

US House passes bill allowing Treasury to target nonprofits it deems terror backers
Something to pass in both House and Senate in January.
[IsraelTimes] Bipartisan legislation narrowly passes after many Democrats withdraw support; groups, including dozens of Jewish organizations, have said bill is too broad and can be abused

The US House passed legislation Thursday that would give the Treasury Department unilateral authority to strip the tax-exempt status of nonprofits it claims support terrorism, alarming civil liberties groups about how a second Trump presidency could invoke it to punish political opponents.
Progressive projection — it’s what they would do, just like the rounded up the January 6 protesters.
The bill passed 219-184, with the majority of the support coming from Republicans who accused Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
of reversing course in their support for the "common sense" proposal only after Donald Trump
...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down...
was elected to a second term earlier this month.

Speaking on the House floor ahead of the vote, Rep. Jason Smith, GOP chair of the House Boodle Central, argued that his colleagues across the aisle would still be supporting the bill had Vice President Kamala Harris
who got her start in politix between former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's' knees
won the presidential election. "And we, as members of Congress, have the duty to make sure that taxpayers are not subsidizing terrorism," the Missouri politician said. "It’s very, very simple."

But the proposal has drawn concern from a range of nonprofits who say it could be used to target organizations, including news outlets, universities and civil society groups, that a future presidential administration disagrees with. They say it does not offer groups enough due process.

A coalition of more than 55 centrist and progressive Jewish groups has been lobbying against the bill.
That’s the kind of centrists who are really Progressive, but do go on.
"This bill is an authoritarian play by Republicans to expand the sweeping powers of the executive branch, to go after political enemies and stifle political dissent," Rep. Pramila Jayapal, the chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, said on the House floor ahead of the vote.

Critics also see it as redundant as it is already against US law to support designated terrorist groups. The proposal, which now goes to the Democratic-controlled Senate where its fate is uncertain, would also postpone tax-filing deadlines for Americans held hostage or unlawfully detained abroad.

The bill would create a new category of "terrorist supporting organizations," according to an analysis by the Congressional Research Service of a previous version of the legislation. This category is defined as any organization the Treasury Secretary designates as having provided material support to a terrorist organization in the past three years.

"We think this legislation is an overreach," said Jenn Holcomb, vice president of government affairs at the Council on Foundations. "It would allow the Secretary of the Treasury to designate a 501c nonprofit as a terrorist organization at their discretion. And our concern is it doesn’t have enough in there to really ensure that a nonprofit understands the reasoning that a secretary designated as such."

The bill would give a nonprofit designated as "terror-supporting" 90 days to appeal that designation. Nonprofits like the American Civil Liberties Union have said that the bill does not require that the Treasury Secretary disclose all the evidence that was used to make the designation.

The bill text outlines how the Treasury must send "a description of such material support or resources to the extent consistent with national security and law enforcement interests."

In a joint statement with the Independent Sector, National Council of Nonprofits, and United Philanthropy Forum, the Council on Foundations also said the bill would shift the burden of proof to the nonprofit, and even if an organization was eventually cleared, the nonprofit would "risk irreparable damage to their operations and reputation."

If it were to become law, the bill could apply to a range of nonprofits, including membership organizations, unions and private foundations.

A version of the bill was first introduced after the October 7, 2023, Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
onslaught in Israel, when Paleostinian faceless myrmidons killed 1,200 people and took 251 hostages into Gazoo

. The House passed a previous version of the bill in April, including with the support of some Democrats.

The bill was also brought up for a vote last week but failed to garner a two-thirds majority required under the suspension of the rules.

Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib
...the very first ever Paleostinian-American ever sworn into Congress in 2019. She is a member of The Squad and consistently votes against the U.S. national interest. She's a Dem, naturally, from a safe district you wouldn't want to live in (Michigan's 12th congressional district). She wants the country to be kinda like Gaza only without any Jews for neighbors...
, the only Paleostinian-American representative in Congress, said Thursday before the vote that it would be her third time voting against the bill.

"I don’t care who the president of the United States is," she said. "This is a dangerous and unconstitutional bill that would allow unchecked power to target nonprofit organizations as political enemies and shut them down without due process."

A searing defeat for Barack Obama
[IsraelHayom] Americans felt the vibe — that American wokeness and moral self-doubt were insidious weaknesses. And therefore, they ruled that the Obama era finally must end.

More than last week's US presidential vote being a victory for Donald Trump, it was a searing defeat, a supreme rebuke, for Barack Obama.

In a torrent of impassioned campaign stops over the past two months, former President Obama made it clear that this election was a referendum on his policies. He explicitly warned that unless Kamala Harris was elected president, everything that he stood for and worked for would be washed down the drain. He literally said that the "fate of the nation" hung in the balance. He said the same thing in 2016 when he strenuously campaigned for Hillary Clinton.

Back then, Obama told voters "If you supported me in '08, if you supported me in '12, if you think that I've done a good job, if you believe that Michelle has done a good job — everything that we've done over the last eight years will be reversed with a Trump presidency. And everything will be sustained and built on with a Hillary Clinton presidency."

Well, there never was a Hillary Clinton presidency, and there will not be a Kamala Harris presidency either. And it is not just because both were flawed candidates. (In Harris' case, this is the understatement of the century.)

It is because more than half of Americans rejected the notion that Obama had "done a good job," and they were not interested in "sustaining" his policies. They didn't want another four or eight years of stand-ins for Obama, on top of his own eight years in the White House and his four surrogate years via President Biden.

They did not buy the Democratic message that everything was swell in America and that all that was needed was a competent Democrat to advance Obama's superior approach. They didn't buy the assertion that Obama was America's leading tutelary figure.

Science & Technology
Utrinque Paratus -
[FE] Christian Craighead interviewed by Lucas Bernard

LB: Alright Christian, the Browning Hi-Power/SA-35. Why does it hold a special place in your heart?

CC: It’s the first handgun I ever got my hands on at the age of 17. I used it in 1993 straight out of training. Deploying to Northern Ireland, learning to shoot it was part of the induction course into the Parachute Battalion. You had to use the Hi-Power because as part of our role in Northern Ireland we’d sometimes wear plain clothes. Not in specialist covert activities, just more like escort duties. That was my first exposure to the pistol.

LB: The last article was drawn from your experiences as a boy fantasizing about all these wonderful movie guns. Do you remember when you were waiting in line to get issued your pistol and being like: "Oh my god, I finally get to have one!"?

CC: It did feel really cool to get my hands on one and have the lessons. We were professional about it. To me it was just another tool, but it did feel good to have the gun, and if necessary, to be able to use it. That said, it felt quite strange carrying it concealed for the first time. Remember it’s the UK—we’re not really exposed to guns very much.

LB: After you left the Parachute Battalion, that wasn’t the end of your relationship with the Hi-Power was it?

CC: No, around 1999, when I was serving in the Pathfinders, we started getting issued the Hi-Power as a secondary weapon. These pistols were very old and way past their "use by date" in my opinion. So, the frustration was that they were not that accurate—or not as accurate as they should be.

LB: They were just clapped out and shot out?

#2  Final Q and A:

LB: So now that you have a SA-35 and are impressed with it, is it now your “go-to” pistol?

CC: Not really. The best analogy would be this: Imagine the Hi-Power as a first girlfriend you had at the age of 17. Admittedly, when you first got your hands on her, you didn’t really know what you were doing, and it definitely wasn’t a great experience. Now, 31 years later, she’s the SA-35 and you’ve reconnected with her. You know she’s been around a bit, but she’s had a makeover, she’s looking good and doing well for herself; and you’re pleased. When you got your hands on her again, it’s certainly a lot better than you remember and a somewhat pleasurable experience. Will you carry on with her though? Probably not. Life moves on, as do your standards.

#3  I fell for a hi-power in '85.
Over the years the finish needed cosmetic touchups and finally a full frame gloss blueing.
I replaced the barrel after the bore wore out with a shiny new chrome treatment that eventually needed attention due to throat erosion from hot loads.
I would occasionally replace high tension springs with tough new stainless and once or twice let a friend shoot her.

I carried her for years but finally gave her up for a price that was more than what she was worth.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Colorado funeral home owners plead guilty to corpse abuse after nearly 200 bodies found decomposing
[FoxNews] Jon and Carie Hallford of the Return to Nature Funeral Home could face up to 20 years in prison

The owners of a Colorado funeral home accused of piling hundreds of bodies in room-temperature conditions inside a dilapidated building and giving loved ones concrete instead of ashes have pleaded guilty to corpse abuse.

Jon and Carie Hallford, who own the Return to Nature Funeral Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, pleaded guilty to 191 counts of abuse of a corpse on Friday.

"The bodies were [lying] on the ground, stacked on shelves, left on gurneys, stacked on top of each other or just piled in rooms," prosecutor Rachael Powell said in court.

Their loved ones are "intensely and forever outraged," she added. Some of the families were in the courtroom when they pleaded guilty.

Crystina Page, whose son died in 2019, said outside the courtroom on Friday: "He laid in the corner of an inoperable fridge, dumped out of his body bag with rats and maggots eating his face for four years. Now every moment that I think of my son, I’m having to think of Jon and Carie, and that’s not going away."

The Hallfords also faced charges of theft, money laundering and forgery, which were dismissed with their plea deals.

The couple spent $882,300 in COVID relief funds on things like vacations, cosmetic surgery, car and tuition for their child.

Jon Hallford could serve 20 years in prison under the plea deal and Carie Hallford could serve 15 to 20 years.

Six people who objected to the plea deals, calling their recommended sentences insufficient, will get a chance to speak before they’re sentenced in April.

If the judge rejects the plea deal, the case may still go to trial.

The Hallfords already pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in October in connection with their misuse of funds.

The accusations go back to 2019 and the improperly stored bodies were discovered after neighbors reported a stench coming from the building.

Authorities in hazmat gear found bodies stacked on top of each other, some so decayed they couldn’t be identified, and the place was infested with bugs.

Following the gruesome discovery, Colorado has tightened funeral home regulations.

'Conveyor belt of radicals': GOP slammed over Senate absences that helped Biden score more judges in lame duck
[FoxNews] 'A senator's only job is to show up and vote,' founder and president of the Article III Project Mike Davis tells Fox News Digital

Senate Republicans faced criticism over several vote absences this week that allowed Democrats to confirm judges or agree to end debate on nominees that otherwise could have been blocked if each of the missing GOP lawmakers were there.

One particularly crucial vote was on Monday for a lifetime appointment to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court, a coveted appeals court slot to which Democrats did not have the votes to confirm President Biden's nominee, since outgoing Sen. Joe Manchin, I-W.Va., voted against.

However, since Sens. Mike Braun, R-Ind., Steve Daines, R-Mont., Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., JD Vance, R-Ohio, and Marco Rubio, R-Fla., did not vote, the nominee was confirmed by 49 votes to 45 votes.

"This leftist judge would have been voted down and the seat on the important 11th circuit would have been filled by Donald Trump next year had Republicans showed up," wrote Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., on X. "Now, the leftist judge will have a lifetime appointment and the people of FL, AL and GA will suffer the consequences."

Mike Davis, the former chief counsel for nominations to former Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, told Fox News Digital, "A senator’s only job is to show up and vote."

"President Biden is jamming through bottom-of-the-barrel radical left-wing judges for lifetime appointments to the federal bench after the American people voted for dramatic change. Senate Republicans must do everything they can to stop this lame-duck conveyor belt of radicals. But if these Senate Republicans cannot even show up to vote, let alone debate for four hours on each judge, why should we vote for these deadbeat senators?"

Davis is also founder and president of the Article III Project.

A senior Senate source confirmed to Fox News Digital that there was irritation among the Republican conference about their colleagues' absences. The most vocal about it was Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., they said.

In a statement, Vice President-elect Vance said, "As a co-chairman of the transition, it’s vital that I’m focused on making sure President Trump’s government is fully staffed with people who support his America First agenda and will be ready to hit the ground running on January 20th."

"However, it’s also important to me to do everything in my power to block more radical judges from getting confirmed. So while it may be outside of the norm for an incoming VP to take Senate votes in the lame duck period, if my colleagues here in the Senate tell me that we have a real chance of beating one of these nominees, I’ll move heaven and earth to be there for the vote," he added.

In a separate statement, Brian Hughes, Trump-Vance Transition spokesman said, "We cannot allow Chuck Schumer to play games with the transition’s ability to staff the incoming administration. Under no circumstances should we allow radical left judges to be jammed through the Senate at the 11th hour, but the Vice President-elect is needed for the transition to continue working ahead of schedule."

Vance is notably the first senator in over a century to vote on a judicial nomination after being elected to be vice president.

The vice president-elect was at the Capitol during the latter part of the week facilitating meetings between senators and Trump selections for key administration posts.

Vance was in attendance for pivotal votes on Wednesday, while some Republicans were still absent.

A spokesperson for Daines pointed Fox News Digital to an X post from the senator, in which he detailed travel issues he ran into on his way to Washington, D.C. "Runway closed due to ice, then prolonged de-icing, then a medical emergency…then Delta flight attendants timed out. Landed DC at 10 pm and voting until ~ midnight," he said.

Daines' office said he went immediately to the Senate floor to vote once he finally landed in the capital.

The offices of Braun, Hagerty and Rubio did not provide comment to Fox News Digital in time for publication. Rubio was recently selected by Trump to be his nominee for Secretary of State.

While the circuit court confirmation was the most important vote that GOP absences helped to advance, it wasn't the only case of it happening this week.

Braun, Hagerty, Vance, Rubio and Sens. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas were absent for a vote on a district court nominee on Tuesday that was ultimately confirmed, despite Manchin opposing and Democrats not otherwise having enough votes.

Cruz was in Texas on the day of the vote with Trump and billionaire Elon Musk for the launch of a SpaceX rocket. The senator is the soon-to-be chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and told reporters this week that space legislation "will be a significantly higher priority of the full committee."

He cited his trip to the launch, saying, "My number-one priority is jobs. And commercial space generates tens of thousands of jobs across Texas and across the country."

Cramer's office did not provide comment in time for publication.

On Wednesday, both Cruz and Braun missed another district judge confirmation that Manchin opposed, handing Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Biden another accomplishment.

Braun further missed another Wednesday vote on a district judge that was opposed by outgoing Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, I-Ariz., allowing the nominee to be confirmed.

On Wednesday, Tillis spoke on the Senate floor on the subject. "Schumer's trying to ram through Biden's liberal judicial nominees. We can block some of them, but it requires ALL GOP senators to be here. VP-elect [Vance] is a busy man right now, but he's still here on the Senate floor holding the line, and so should all of our GOP colleagues," he wrote on X.

The outgoing Indiana senator returned on Wednesday evening before Republicans managed to make a deal with Schumer on further judicial confirmation votes, securing four vacancies on valuable circuit courts for Trump in exchange for allowing votes on a number of district court judges without further stalling.

One GOP senator told Fox News Digital that Senate Minority Whip John Thune, R-S.D., who was recently elected to be the next GOP Senate leader, applied pressure to absent senators such as Vance, Rubio and Braun, which resulted in the ultimate deal with Schumer.

A senior Senate Republican source familiar told Fox News Digital that Thune underscored the importance of attendance at the GOP conference, especially concerning judicial confirmation votes.

Big mistake to not dig in and fight. These appointments are important. They are the kind of appointments that allow "lawfare" to continue. You end up with the messes in the judicial court system that exists in DC, NY, Georgia, FISA etc.

'Resets the West's Strategy.' What the Oreshnik Strike on Yuzhmash Showed
Direct Translayion via Google Translate. Edited.
by Gevorg Mirzayan

[REGNUM] On November 21, Russia struck the Ukrainian Yuzhmash plant with an Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile.

This was a response to the attacks on Russian territory by Western long-range missiles, President Vladimir Putin said. The launch's goal was achieved.

Ukrainian media and Telegram channels, naturally, write that the ground damage to the plant is minimal. But we need to look deeper, and in the literal sense.

"Yuzhmash" is a military enterprise with a powerful underground infrastructure, which was created in Soviet times and which we could not reach with conventional weapons, the head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts Andrei Klintsevich noted in an interview with IA Regnum. There, he continued, warehouses, workshops for the production of drones and equipment are deployed there. And "Oreshnik" reached them - hypersonic blocks that went at insane speeds, broke through the thickness of concrete and destroyed underground communications.

The strike itself, in addition to the obvious military necessity to test the Oreshnik, also had a political component that Western countries should understand. The same ones that recently used (through the hands of Ukrainians, of course) ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles to strike territories that they themselves recognize as Russian.

"By launching long-range missile strikes deep into internationally recognized Russian territory, the West has moved to direct military action. From a proxy war on Ukrainian territory to a direct war against Russia," Dmitry Suslov, deputy director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, explains to Regnum.

By striking Yuzhmash, Putin showed that the West had played itself out. And that the rules of the game had changed.

In particular, the president showed determination.

"Putin has demonstrated that Russia has the political will to respond - and to respond in kind. To ensure its security by all means," Dmitry Suslov is confident.

And it is not only about the first combat use of a medium-range ballistic missile in Europe. Moscow has made it clear that it has the right to strike military targets of states that attack our borders with their missiles.

Now suppliers of high-tech weapons to the Kyiv regime must think about it - just like those who, not long ago, were talking in all seriousness about the possibility of sending their military contingents to parts of the new regions of the Russian Federation controlled by the Kyiv regime (counting on the fact that Moscow will not have the political will to respond).

Now Moscow has not only the will, but also the tool for a retaliatory strike. And, what is extremely important, the tool is non-nuclear.

"We sent a signal that we had created a system that was optimal for the current nature of military operations with the West. After all, what did he count on? It won't come to ICBMs (intercontinental ballistic missiles. - Ed.), and we won't be able to reach them with conventional weapons - the same Iskanders, which have a range of 500 km. And they will be able to shell us with impunity through their Ukrainian satellite," says Andrey Klintsevich.

With the strike on Yuzhmash the situation changed. The Oreshnik can reach any point in Europe, and it is impossible to intercept it.

"There are currently no means of counteracting such weapons. The missiles attack targets at a speed of 10 Machs - that is 2.5-3 kilometers per second. The modern air defense systems in the world and the missile defense systems created by the Americans in Europe do not intercept such missiles, this is excluded," Vladimir Putin explained in his address.

This nullifies the entire US strategy of deploying advanced missile defense systems in Europe. In particular, it reduces the role of the AEGIS Ashore complex, recently launched in Poland, which was nominally supposed to intercept such missiles, noted Andrei Klintsevich. The complex will not work, retaliation can come anywhere in the European Union. Moreover, the West will not be able to deliver the same blow - in this case it will receive a nuclear response.

This is directly stated in the new Russian nuclear doctrine.

"Putin said that Russia could launch ballistic missile strikes on NATO countries. Yes, NATO could launch ballistic missile strikes on Russian territory in response, but you need to read point 19 of the nuclear doctrine. It states that the launch of ballistic missiles - and it doesn't matter whether they are nuclear or non-nuclear - is one of the conditions for Russia to use nuclear weapons," Dmitry Suslov said.

In the near future, Oreshnik may be used against Ukrainian targets to support the Russian army during the SVO. At the same time, Moscow, as throughout the special operation, maintains the most humane line possible in combat conditions.

"When selecting, if necessary and as a response, targets for destruction by systems such as Oreshnik on the territory of Ukraine, we will offer in advance to civilians, and also ask citizens of friendly states located there, to leave the dangerous zones. We will do this for humanitarian reasons - openly, publicly," Vladimir Putin said.

The mechanism for such warnings, said presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, is currently being developed.

At the same time, Russia's humaneness is explained not only by its concern for the citizens of Ukraine, but also by its desire to establish a dialogue with the European population, bypassing the Russophobic elites there. Moscow expects ordinary Europeans (who are now extremely concerned about the hawkish aspirations of their own rulers) to draw the right conclusion about who is the aggressor in this war, and who is defending their own interests. Who is thinking about global crusades, and who is concerned about the population of Europe.

At the same time, Europeans, like Ukrainians, must understand that the key priority of the Russian president remains concern for the Russian population - for its well-being, security and future. And if tough steps need to be taken for the sake of this security, the Russian president will do so.

“The updated version of the principles of state policy in the area of nuclear deterrence significantly lowers the nuclear threshold and expands the number of situations in which Russia is ready to use nuclear weapons,” recalls Dmitry Suslov.

The West just has to understand and accept this. This requires, among other things, a demonstration of the power of Oreshnik - well, or regular demonstrations. After all, not everyone understands it the first time.

'Anti-Semitic Decision': ICC Waits for Right Moment to Issue Netanyahu Warrant
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Dmitry Polyakov

[REGNUM] On November 21, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant. They are accused of committing “war crimes and crimes against humanity” in the Gaza Strip. However, the ICC did not stop there.

At the same time, an arrest warrant was issued for Muhammad Deif, the leader of Hamas' military wing. He is considered one of the main organizers of the October 7, 2023 terrorist attack. It is noteworthy that, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Deif was liquidated this summer.

All three warrants were issued by the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Ahmad Khan.

THE ESSENCE OF THE ACCUSATIONS
The arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Galant are for crimes committed between October 8, 2023 and at least May 20, 2024. The ICC says it has reason to believe that the Israeli prime minister and former defense minister deprived civilians in the Gaza Strip of vital resources.

"Both individuals intentionally and knowingly deprived the civilian population of Gaza of items essential to their survival, including food, water, medicine and medical supplies, as well as fuel and electricity," the court said in a statement.

Despite warnings and appeals from international organizations and leaders of other countries, Israel has provided only “minimal humanitarian assistance.” For this reason, the ICC has raised suspicions that Netanyahu and Galant may be guilty of using starvation as a weapon of war.

The statement also claimed that "the alleged crimes against humanity were part of a widespread and systematic attack against the civilian population of Gaza."

As for Mohammed Deif, the ICC said he is suspected of having committed “crimes against humanity and war crimes committed in the territory of the State of Israel and the State of Palestine since at least 7 October 2023.” These crimes include murder, extermination, torture, hostage-taking, rape and other violence.

"ANTI-SEMITIC DECISION"
It is important to note that the execution of the ICC order is mandatory for countries that have ratified the Rome Statute. There are 124 such countries. However, there are also those that have signed but not ratified the statute – 29 states in total. Among them are Israel, its main ally – the United States, as well as Russia, Iran and some Arab countries.

It is noteworthy that the members of the European Union, friendly to Israel, have ratified the Rome Statute and are ready to implement the court's decision. Thus, the head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell stated that "the ICC decision is binding on all member states."

The French Foreign Ministry also expressed its willingness to follow the court's principles and announced that "Paris's response to the ICC's arrest order against Netanyahu will be in line with these principles." The foreign ministries of Belgium and the Netherlands responded in a similar manner.

The only EU country that does not agree with the court's decision is Hungary. Budapest said it was ready to accept the Israeli prime minister, guaranteeing his safety. The decision is explained by the fact that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has long established friendly relations with Benjamin Netanyahu and supports Israel on many issues.

The Jewish state, for its part, categorically disagrees with the arrest warrant issued by the ICC. A statement released by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office said the accusations against the country were false and anti-Semitic. "The anti-Semitic decision of the International Criminal Court is a modern-day Dreyfus trial, and it will end the same way," the statement said.

Israel considers the ICC a biased and discriminatory political body that makes false and absurd accusations. The statement also said the decision to issue the warrants was made by a “corrupt attorney general who is trying to protect himself from sexual harassment charges and biased judges driven by anti-Semitic hatred of Israel.”

The case concerns the ICC's November 11 decision to open an external investigation into allegations of sexual assault against Khan, who denies any wrongdoing.

THE WEST IS DISAPPOINTED
Karim Ahmad Kan requested an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Galant back in May. However, the process was delayed due to concerns that its implementation could hinder negotiations on a ceasefire and the release of hostages. The negotiations have not yielded results in the past six months. On the contrary, the situation has become even more tense after the assassinations of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh and the movement's leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar.

The Israeli military cabinet does not seem to be stopping. Netanyahu visited Gaza this week and declared that Hamas would not be in the Strip. Moreover, the Jewish state has been conducting a destructive ground operation in Lebanon for the second month. It is probably Israel’s intransigence that has convinced the ICC that there is no point in delaying the warrant any longer.

The timing was not accidental. The ICC ruling came during ceasefire talks between Israel and Hezbollah this week led by US special envoy Amos Hochstein.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, he visited Beirut, where he held a series of meetings with acting Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and the secretary general of the Shiite Amal Party, Nabih Berri, who is acting as a mediator between Hezbollah and Western countries. At the final press conference, Hochstein said that he had managed to achieve progress in the dialogue with the Lebanese side.

Immediately after, Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem appeared on television. He noted that the success of the current negotiations depended on Israel's reaction and the "seriousness" of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. However, Qassem emphasized that the Jewish state was putting forward too serious conditions: "Israel wants to achieve through an agreement what it could not achieve on the battlefield. This is impossible."

After the Beirut talks, Amos Hochstein traveled to Tel Aviv, where he held several meetings with Israeli officials, including Netanyahu. According to Arab media reports, Israel is reluctant to make concessions on fundamental issues, so the American envoy is pushing for more rounds of talks.

It is significant that the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Israeli citizens precisely at the time of Netanyahu's negotiations with Hochstein. This decision shows that Western countries are extremely disappointed with Israel's intransigence and are perhaps trying to put pressure on the country's leadership.

In this situation, the reaction of the French Foreign Ministry is quite understandable. Paris is trying to actively participate in the resolution of the conflict, but its attempts to penetrate deeply into Lebanon through mediation efforts are each time met with the unwillingness of the Israeli side to compromise.

Certainly, the arrest warrant signals a higher stakes in the negotiations. However, the decision could only make matters worse. With Netanyahu in a difficult position, he may refuse to compromise and take steps that will escalate the conflict, including continuing military operations in Gaza and Lebanon.

#2  "The arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Galant are for crimes committed between October 8 ..."

I.E. any military reaction to 10/7 is being criminalized, while the state actors behind the aggression of 10/7 (Iran, Qatar, Russia) aren't even mentioned, let alone held responsible.

The ICC is a disgusting and reprehensible travesty that isn't even trying to mask its nature.

Dutch unveil plan to fight antisemitism, two weeks after attacks on Israeli fans
[IsraelTimes] The Dutch government has launched a new plan to tackle antisemitism, two weeks after mob attacks on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam that shocked the world.

The cabinet earmarked an additional 4.5 million euros ($4.7 million) annually for the plan, some of which will go towards stepping up security at Jewish sites.

“Unfortunately, anti-Semitism has increased further in the Netherlands in the past year. And the events in Amsterdam two weeks ago have shown that very clearly to the Netherlands,” says Justice Minister David van Weel.

In the early hours of November 8, visiting supporters of Maccabi Tel Aviv were assaulted in various parts of the city following calls on social media to attack them.

The violence sparked outrage in Israel and among Dutch politicians, who described them as antisemitic.

The government strategy also calls for the establishment of an antisemitism taskforce, tougher laws on “glorifying terrorism” and a probe into violence during protests. Football fans will also be targeted in a bid to eradicate antisemitic chanting in stadiums.

The strategy is “a combination of repression and prevention,” Prime Minister Dick Schoof tells reporters at a regular weekly briefing.

“We have found the right balance.”
Probably not, when you’re eager to arrest the chief executive of the only Jewish state for defending his people against vicious attackers, but whatevs.

That’d certainly give the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times something to compete against.
Technology and space exploration billionaire Elon Musk appears to be mulling a potential purchase of the Comcast-owned, left-wing MSNBC news network. Since the 2024 election, MSNBC has seen its ratings plummet, and its parent company is moving to sell the flagging network along with other media properties, including CNBC. The discussion of a potential Musk bid for MSNBC is catching fire on his social media network, X (formerly Twitter), after a post by President-elect Donald J. Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., suggesting Musk purchase the tanking network. “Hey [Elon Musk] I have the funniest idea ever!!!” he wrote on Friday, prompting Musk to respond: “How much does it cost?”

[X]

Combined, the properties Comcast is considering spinning off—including MSNBC, CNBC, USA Network, and others—have an estimated value of $8 billion. This is roughly 18 percent of the price Musk paid for Twitter in 2022.
Give it a month or two and they'll accept $4.97
MSNBC and other major corporate news networks have struggled with ratings over the past several years, with their viewership falling further in the aftermath of President-elect Trump’s landslide election victory. The National Pulse reported earlier on Friday that the left-wing network’s banner morning show, Morning Joe, has suffered a catastrophic ratings collapse in the last week, losing 16 percent of its viewers since Monday. Overall, MSNBC has seen a 54 percent drop in viewership since the November 5 presidential election—losing approximately 1.1 million viewers.

Separately, PJ Media shares this nugget from CNN in their story on the subject:

Comcast promises the new entity, for now known as SpinCo, will start with a growth trajectory and significant financial firepower. But there is already speculation it may need to bulk up to survive.

That could mean a sale to another entity or an acquisition. Either way, a future deal would likely require approval from the DOJ, potentially led by Gaetz, and other Trump regulators. (The FCC’s blessing may not be required because SpinCo won’t include the NBC broadcast network).

But naughty words! Yeah, so? F/X drops words all the time, TCM shows full on titties. In fact, do swear, put it on a 5 second delay and let an algorithm silence the most egregious words and let the viewer use context and read lips to fill in the blanks - and that is called engagement.

Surely there can be found 48 people around the world to do a scheduled 30 minute presentation. 2am here, well not in Australia or Japan.

Topic parameters could exclude current war conflicts, in progress trials, sexy time. Might get the next Carl Sagan who would never get the chance with the current DEI forward culture. An honest video game review set would bank - I myself am wondering right now about a $50 game which just dropped, is it worth it?

Wouldn't need a studio or any of that bullshit, just a producer's box to coordinated the incoming streams.

US House passes bill to relocate ‘Afghan Allies’
[KhaamaPress] The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill to support efforts to relocate Afghan allies of Washington to the United States. The legislation calls for the appointment of a coordinator in the U.S. State Department to oversee these efforts.

According to the text of the "Afghan Relocation Efforts Coordinator Act 2024," published on the Congress website, the coordinator will be responsible for the "relocation and resettlement of eligible Afghan allies" and facilitating the departure of U.S. citizens and permanent residents from Afghanistan.

Additionally, the coordinator will support the State Department and the U.S. government’s efforts to assist in the resettlement and relocation of Afghan nationals.

The draft bill was introduced for consideration on October 6 by Dina Titus, a representative from Nevada.

The bill was approved on Wednesday, November 20, with 334 votes in favor, 63 against, and 36 abstentions.

After the bill’s passage, Dina Titus stated on her social media account, "I am proud to have led this bill to ensure we can bring eligible Afghan allies who helped the U.S. and are facing threats from the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
to safety."

This legislation comes as thousands of eligible Afghan refugees await relocation to the U.S. They are currently stranded in Afghanistan, Pakistain, Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
, and Albania, with some having been outside Afghanistan for over three years. Many fear the relocation process might be halted if Donald Trump
...The Hero of Butler, Pennsylvania...
returns to office.

The slow pace of the relocation process has added to the anxiety of Afghan refugees. As political changes loom in the U.S., the uncertainty surrounding their future intensifies, making immediate action more critical.

This situation also highlights the broader challenges of refugee relocation during global crises. International cooperation and a streamlined process are essential to ensure that those who risked their lives supporting foreign missions are not left behind in vulnerable conditions.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Illinois Supreme Court on Thursday overturned actor Jussie Smollett's conviction on charges that he staged a racist and homophobic attack against himself
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

The Illinois Supreme Court on Thursday overturned actor Jussie Smollett

...Cable TV actor whose primary talents seemed to be being black and being homosexual. In a bid for national attention, he paid a pair of Nigerian brothers to rough him up a little so he could claim that two large, white, MAGA hat-wearing men had shouted This is MAGA country! while thumping him at 2:30am on a bitter cold night in Chicago and throwing bleach on him, presumably to lighten him up. The story quickly unraveled, and he became a laughingstock and the poster boy for pretend victimization and attention whoredom...

's conviction on charges that he staged a racist and homophobic attack against himself in downtown reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
in 2019 and lied to police.

Smollett's appeal argued that a special prosecutor should not have been allowed to intervene after the Cook County state's attorney initially dropped charges. The state's highest court heard arguments in September.

Smollett, who is Black and gay, claimed two men assaulted him, spouted racial and homophobic slurs and tossed a noose around his neck, leading to a massive search for suspects by Chicago police detectives and kicking up an international uproar. Smollett was on the television drama "Empire," which filmed in Chicago, and prosecutors alleged he staged the attack because he was unhappy with the studio's response to hate mail he received.

A jury convicted him of five counts of disorderly conduct in 2021. Smollett has maintained his innocence.

His attorneys have argued that the case was over when the Cook County state's attorney's office dropped an initial 16 counts of disorderly conduct after Smollett performed community service and forfeited a $10,000 bond.

A grand jury restored charges after a special prosecutor took the case.

Testimony at his trial indicated Smollett paid $3,500 to two men whom he knew from "Empire" to carry out the attack. Prosecutors said he told them what slurs to shout, and to yell that Smollett was in "MAGA country," an apparent reference to the Donald Trump
...Never got invited to a P.Diddy party...
's presidential campaign slogan.

Smollett testified that "there was no hoax" and that he was the victim of a hate crime in his downtown Chicago neighborhood.

He was sentenced to 150 days in jail — six of which he served before he was freed pending appeal — 30 months of probation and ordered to pay about $130,000 in restitution.

A state appellate court ruling upheld Smollett's the conviction, declaring that no one promised Smollett he wouldn't face a fresh prosecution after accepting the original deal.

His attorneys have argued that Smollett has been victimized by a racist and politicized justice system.

#3  From what I've read, Special Prosecutor Dan Webb is saying there was nothing unusual in the Grand Jury decision to prosecute Jussie, that Illinois law holds many similar cases. Webb is no dummy and holds the reputation as one of the straight (straightger?) shooters in the state. If he's correct, then the Supreme's are as corrupt as the Chicago City Council and the rest of Cook County. If he's wrong, or simply making an argument, then the whole business was "dumb show" and we're back to the same conclusion.

Afghanistan
Zahra Baloch: Terrorist groups in Afghanistan pose serious threat to region
[KhaamaPress] The spokesperson for Pakistain’s Foreign Ministry, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, stated that terrorist groups have found safe havens in Afghanistan and are launching attacks on Pakistain from there.
"These are ones we don't control!"
Baloch urged the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
to fulfill their commitments under the Doha Agreement and take action against these terrorist groups in Afghanistan. Without naming specific groups, she called for concrete steps to prevent their activities.
Why would the Taliban act against their friends and colleagues in the jihad game?
During a press briefing on Thursday, Zahra Baloch highlighted that international concerns about the security situation in Afghanistan have been repeatedly raised in UN reports and during meetings with regional countries.

Baloch also disclosed that Islamabad has shared its concerns with Washington about the large cache of weapons obtained by terrorist groups in Afghanistan,

But more to those poor suckers running Pakistan, who turn out not to be nearly as clever as they assumed.
Over the past three years, attacks by the Pak Taliban on Pakistain’s security forces have intensified. Analysts suggest that the Pak forces of Evil are allies of the Afghan Taliban, who are reluctant to expel them from Afghanistan.
It’s not reluctance, it’s determination not to — and that’s before the easy exchange of personnel as needed for various projects.
The Taliban, responding to regional concerns, have claimed they do not allow any group to attack neighboring countries from Afghan soil. However,

Pakistain insists that the leadership and a significant number of Pak Talibs are present in Afghanistan.

Pakistain’s expectations of the Taliban curbing the activities of the Pak Taliban (TTP) have not materialized in the three years since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan. Instead, Pakistain claims the Taliban have allowed the TTP to establish safe havens in border regions.

Earlier, Pakistain shared "conclusive evidence" of the TTP’s presence with China’s special envoy on Afghanistan during his visit to Islamabad. Pakistain’s approach to Afghanistan is now being handled by its deputy foreign minister for West Asia and Afghanistan, following the removal of its special envoy for Afghanistan, Asif Ali Durrani.

Venezuelan man in the U.S. illegally was arrested in Colorado on Tuesday over allegations that he raped his boss’ 14-year-old daughter
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

A 20-year-old Venezuela

...a country in Central America that sits on an enormous pool of oil. Formerly the most prospereous country in the region, it became infested with Commies sniffing almost unlimited wealth. It turned out the wealth wasn't unlimited, the economy collapsed under the clownish Hugo Chavez, the murder rate exceeded places like Honduras and El Salvador. A significant proportion of the populace refugeed to Colombia and points south...

n man in the U.S. illegally was arrested in Colorado on Tuesday over allegations that he raped his boss' 14-year-old daughter while living in the basement of the family's home.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in Golden, Colorado, said Wednesday in a news release that it arrested Jesus Alberto Pereira Castillo regarding the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

The sheriff's office said police were originally called to the home where the assault allegedly occurred at 11 p.m. on Aug. 29. They said police were told that about a half-hour earlier, Castillo had forced himself on the homeowner's daughter, sexually assaulting her. But Castillo left the residence before deputies arrived. Details were not released as to what job the homeowner employed Castillo to do.

Following the assault, Immigration and Customs Enforcement lodged a detainer for Castillo's arrest, the New York Post reported Thursday, citing unnamed sources. The sheriff's office said Sherlocks tracked Castillo down to Aurora, Colorado, and placed him in jug Tuesday without incident.

Castillo was charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault on a child and did not enter a plea during his initial court appearance Wednesday, Brionna Boatright, director of public affairs for the Colorado First Judicial District Attorney's Office, wrote in an email to Newsmax. The judge set a $5,000 cash bond and Castillo is in jug at the Jefferson County Detention Facility. Boatright said Castillo's attorney is seeking to have the bond reduced.
Because violating one’s employer’s barely pubescent daughter really isn’t that big a deal?
Aurora has been in the headlines after being overrun by the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, but Castillo is not believed to have any ties to the gang, the Post reported.

Castillo crossed the border illegally into El Paso, Texas, in September 2023 and was released by Customs and Border Patrol agents because there was no room to detain him any longer, the Post reported, citing Department of Homeland Security sources.

Castillo was said to be headed to Orlando, Florida, but ended up in Colorado, where he was arrested in May for allegedly possessing tools for forgery/counterfeiting and larceny, the Post reported.
A young man with many talents to put at the service of his new country.
Democrat Denver Mayor Mike Johnston said he will not cooperate with the incoming Trump administration's plans for mass deportations of illegal immigrants colonists. Johnston has overseen a huge influx of migrants colonists to his city, reportedly causing it to cut at least $45.9 million worth of expenses from several agencies.

Bekov and Tsitskiev denied change of sentence for preparing terrorist attack
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The Russian Supreme Court has refused to overturn the sentence of Ingushetia residents Aslan Bekov and Ruslan Tsitskiev, who were sentenced to long prison terms for preparing a terrorist attack during the 2018 World Cup.
Appeal denied, original sentence upheld.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", on May 30, 2022, it became known that the court sentenced four residents of Ingushetia to long prison terms, including Aslan Bekov and Ruslan Tsitskiev, finding them guilty of preparing a terrorist attack during the 2018 World Cup, justifying terrorism, illegal possession of weapons and membership in the "Islamic State".

The Supreme Court of Russia has refused to overturn the sentence of Aslan Bekov and Ruslan Tsitskiev in the case of participation in an Islamic State cell*, according to the case file published on the court's website.

In 2022, the Southern District Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Bekov to 21 years in prison, Tsitskiev to 20 years.

According to investigators, Bekov created an ISIS cell in 2018, which included several residents of Ingushetia. All of them, according to investigators, planned terrorist attacks during the World Cup in Russia, including in Ingushetia. A counter-terrorist operation against members of the ISIS cell took place in June 2018 in Nazran.

Let us recall that this special operation  caused indignation  among the residents of Ingushetia. Those killed during the special operation were members of the family of a retired police colonel, none of them had any connection with the militants and did not shoot at the security forces, local residents said. The security forces, however, claimed that the killed had sworn allegiance to ISIS.

The militants killed in Ingushetia were preparing terrorist attacks on the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, said Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, who headed the republic at the time. The convicted men themselves said they had confessed under torture.

’s coastal city of Tyre, and further sorties on the country’s south and Hezbollah’s stronghold in southern Beirut on Friday, as the Israel Defense Forces said some 80 rockets and several drones were launched at northern Israel throughout the day.

The Lebanese health ministry said airstrikes on two villages in southern Lebanon killed five medics from a rescue force affiliated with Hezbollah. AFP reported that an airstrike in Beirut toppled an 11-story building.

The IDF said targets included command centers, intelligence infrastructure, weapon depots and observation posts belonging to Hezbollah. Before the strikes, the IDF issued evacuation warnings to civilians in the area.

Many of the sites belonged to Hezbollah’s Aziz regional division, responsible for rocket fire on Israel from the western sector of southern Lebanon, according to the IDF.

Hezbollah said it had targeted with rockets and artillery Israeli ground troops who had encroached on the southern Lebanese towns of Khiyam and Deir Mimas, respectively located some 6 kilometers (4 miles) and 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) north of the border with Israel.

"Enemy reconnaissance aircraft" were flying over Deir Mimas, which has been largely emptied of residents, warning people "not to leave their homes," Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported, adding that it was the first time Israeli troops had reached the village.

In the latest attacks on northern Israel on Friday evening, the IDF Home Front Command said a drone from Lebanon went kaboom! in the Western Galilee area, without causing any injuries.

Drone infiltration warning sirens sounded for around half an hour in northern communities including Nahariya, Acre and the Krayot area north of Haifa amid the incident.

Earlier, the IDF said that air defenses shot down some of the barrage of rockets fired from Lebanon at the Western Galilee and Haifa areas, while others impacted.

Police said a factory in Nahariya was damaged by a rocket. Footage posted to social media showed smoke rising from an industrial area, along with interceptions over the northern coastal city.

The barrage came as the IDF said it had shot down two drones from Lebanon before they entered Israeli airspace in the afternoon, and five projectiles from Lebanon set off sirens in Haifa overnight before being intercepted.

There were no reports of injuries in the latest attacks from Lebanon, which came as Israeli and American officials expressed optimism about securing a ceasefire with Hezbollah to end the cross-border hostilities raging since the day after Hamas

and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed efforts to secure a ceasefire in Lebanon during a phone call earlier in the day.

On Friday afternoon, Channel 12 published details on what it said were the remaining points of contention between Israel and Hezbollah to reach a ceasefire in the north.

One issue, according to the report, was Israel’s insistence that La Belle France can not be part of the agreement, or be a member of the international committee that will monitor a deal’s implementation. This is due to its perceived hostility toward Israel in recent months under Macron’s administration. Macron has recently repeatedly called for an arms embargo on Israel, characterizing it as the path toward ending the war, sparking a diplomatic crisis.

The second issue cited in the report was 13 land points along the Israel-Lebanon border that are disputed due to boundary demarcation issues. The network said Israel was demanding language in the agreement that would allow it to unilaterally choose not to engage in negotiations over disputed points.

Channel 12 reported that Lebanon had accepted that the US would issue a letter that supports Israel’s freedom to act in Lebanon against "imminent threats," but that final wording on the issue of arms transfers within Lebanon had not been finalized.

A bigwig told Channel 12: "Most of the details have been agreed upon, but what remains open is very sensitive and could still derail the agreement."

The report came after Washington’s envoy Amos Hochstein discussed the ceasefire with senior Lebanese, Hezbollah and Israeli officials over the past week, touting progress in the talks. A senior Israeli defense official also said there was a high likelihood of a deal.

IDF FINDS RUSSIAN-MADE ANTI-TANK MISSILES AT HEZBOLLAH POST
In southern Lebanon’s eastern sector, meanwhile, troops of the 7th Armored Brigade found several Russian-made Kornet anti-tank missiles in a Hezbollah anti-tank missile launching post they had discovered after an operative had been killed there in a recent airstrike, the IDF said on Friday.

The brigade, operating under the 98th Division, has been raiding what the army calls "an area that serves as a significant terror stronghold for Hezbollah."

Troops have located several Hezbollah fighting positions, weapon depots, bunkers and other infrastructure amid the ongoing operation, the army said.

Over the past week, the military said it had destroyed some 45 Hezbollah rocket launchers in airstrikes in southern Lebanon. According to the IDF, some of the launchers were used in previous rocket attacks on Israel, and others were primed for future attacks.

Meanwhile,

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed "deep indignation and concern" over the incident, without attributing blame, though European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the UNIFIL observers were "maimed following the launch of two rockets by Hezbollah."

"I will try to speak with the new Israeli minister of defense, which has been impossible since he took office, to ask him to avoid using UNIFIL bases as a shield," he said.

"Even more intolerable is the presence of bully boyz in South Lebanon who are endangering the safety of the blue helmets and the civilian population," he added.

Some European allies, including La Belle France and Italia, have accused Israel of targeting UNIFIL, and rejected Jerusalem’s demand that the peacekeeping force vacate its positions while the IDF pursues Hezbollah.

Israel has accused UNIFIL of failing to prevent Hezbollah from building terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon, forcing Israel to act.

MNRAS: Powerful shockwave from colliding galaxies reaches Earth
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] One of the most powerful shock waves in history that reached Earth from space was recorded by British astronomers. The corresponding article about the study was published in the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (MNRAS).

According to scientists, the collision occurred in a group of galaxies called Stephan's Quintet, located 290 million light years from Earth.

Marina Arnaudova, an astrophysicist from the British University of Hertfordshire, clarified that the galaxy NGC 7318b crashed into a debris field and compressed plasma and gas.

"The intruder reactivated the plasma, causing it to glow brightly at radio frequencies and likely triggered the star formation process," she added.

The event, scientists say, is a "rare chance" for humanity to see a complex combination of colliding galaxies. It could provide valuable insights into how visible galaxies form.

As reported by IA Regnum, on October 31, the European Southern Observatory presented an image of a nebula called the "Dark Wolf Nebula" because its silhouette resembles the figure of a predator. Scientists discovered it in the constellation Scorpius. The nebula is located approximately 5,300 light years from Earth.

Earlier, NASA's James Webb telescope captured two galaxies, NGC 2936 and NGC 2937, which together formed a figure resembling a penguin with an egg. It was noted that the "egg" and "penguin" have been approaching each other for tens of millions of years and will eventually merge into one galaxy.

'Oreshnik' has been accepted into service
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:

[ColonelCassad] Putin reported at a meeting in the Kremlin that Russia has a stock of missiles for the Oreshnik system. Testing of this system will continue, including in combat conditions. Putin thanked all the creators of the system for the speed and efficiency of development. A transparent hint that the tests of the Oreshnik in Dnepropetrovsk are not the last.

1. The issues of import substitution in production have been resolved.

2. The missile will be accepted into service by the Strategic Missile Forces.

3. A decision has been made to begin serial production.

4. The missile itself is new, not a modification of old systems.

5. A number of other medium- and short-range systems are still under development.

6. "Oreshnik" is a medium-range mobile ground-based complex.

7. Those involved in the creation of "Oreshnik" will receive state awards.

Russia can establish serial production of "Oreshnik" in the shortest possible time
Russia can set up serial production of the Oreshnik missile systems in the shortest possible time, Vasily Tonkoshkurov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission, said on November 22.

“The Russian defense industry is capable of quickly setting up serial production of the latest hypersonic weapon, the Oreshnik,” he said at a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the military-industrial complex, and missile developers in the Kremlin.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, Putin said during the meeting that systems similar to the Oreshnik may appear in other countries, but this will happen later, and it is important that the Russian Federation already has such a system. The head of state also added that the Russian defense industry is working on creating a whole line of medium- and shorter-range missiles.

By striking the Yuzhmash plant in Dnepropetrovsk with the hypersonic missile Oreshnik, Moscow demonstrated that it has missile systems that can be used both in a special military operation and as a response to NATO policy towards the Russian Federation, said military analyst and editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko in an interview with Regnum News Agency. The Oreshnik was used not in a nuclear but in a conventional configuration, but the system also allows for the use of nuclear warheads, the expert added.

Kyiv to ask US for THAAD system to protect against Oreshnik, media reports
The leaders of the Kiev regime may request the United States to supply the THAAD anti-missile system to repel attacks by the Russian Oreshnik missile, Bloomberg reported on November 22, citing a source in the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

We are talking about a ground-based anti-missile system for intercepting medium-range missiles, which was adopted by the US Army in 2008.

“According to a representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, one of the systems that Kiev may request is the THAAD anti-missile system, produced by Lockheed Martin,” the statement said.

The head of the Verkhovna Rada Defense Committee, Roman Kostenko, previously told journalists that Ukraine does not have weapons to repel the attacks of Oreshnik. At the same time, he added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not stop striking at Russian territory.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on November 21, President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Armed Forces had struck the Yuzhmash plant in Dnepropetrovsk with a ballistic missile in a non-nuclear hypersonic configuration. The missile hit one of the largest weapons complexes in Ukraine. There are no means of counteracting the latest Russian missiles, the president emphasized.

The Oreshnik ballistic missile that hit Yuzhmash is hypersonic, it is invulnerable to all existing air defense systems and can be equipped with a nuclear "filling", noted military observer Alexander Butyrin. The development of the Oreshnik was carried out in the strictest secrecy, he added.

During his address, Putin noted that in recent days, long-range weapons of Western countries were used against Russia, and stated that after this, the conflict in Ukraine acquired a global character. Those who doubt that Russia is ready for any development of events doubt in vain, the head of state emphasized.

Afghanistan
Unidentified gunmen kill 12 in Afghanistan’s Baghlan: Sources
[KhaamaPress] Sources have reported that 12 people bit the dust in a shooting carried out by unidentified armed assailants in Nahrin District, Baghlan Province.

According to these sources, the incident occurred last night in Ziarat Shahr Kohna, located in Nahrin District. The attack has caused significant concern among the local population, who are already grappling with ongoing insecurity.

These individuals were reportedly at the Sayed Padshah Shrine in the old city of Nahrin, "engaged in prayer when they were killed."

Images on social media show the bodies of the victims inside what is described as a shrine.

It remains unclear who—whether an individual or group—was responsible for carrying out this attack.

Incidents like the Nahrin attack reflect a disturbing trend of increasing violence against civilians in Afghanistan. Amid the fragile security situation, such attacks leave communities in a state of constant fear and vulnerability.
Sher Ahmad Burhani, the spokesperson for the Baghlan security command, stated: "Last night, unidentified individuals attacked a mosque in Shahr-e-Kohna of Nahrin district in Baghlan province. In this mysterious attack, ten residents of Nahrin, who were engaged in worship at the mosque, were martyred. It should be noted that these individuals spent their days working to earn a livelihood and came to the mosque and khanqah for worship at night when they were attacked."

A high-ranking member of a Mexican drug cartel who allegedly faked his own death has been discovered living in California
[X]

A high-ranking member of a Mexican narco mob who allegedly faked his own death has been discovered living in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, and now faces federal charges, the U.S. Justice Department announced Thursday.

Cristian Fernando Gutierrez-Ochoa had assumed a fake identity to evade Mexican law enforcement and had been living in a luxury apartment in Riverside, California when he was arrested earlier this week, according to prosecutors. The 37-year-old Gutierrez-Ochoa, who is the son-in-law of the cartel’s leader El Mencho, had been charged with international drug trafficking and money laundering.

"The Jalisco Cartel — one of the world’s most violent mostly peaceful and prolific drug trafficking organizations — is weaker today because of the tenacious efforts of law enforcement to track down and arrest a cartel leader who allegedly faked his own death and assumed a false identity to evade justice and live a life of luxury in California," Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco said in a statement Thursday.

Prosecutors said prior to his escape, Gutierrez-Ochoa was personally responsible for the distribution of 40,000 kilograms of methamphetamine and 2,000 kilograms of cocaine from Mexico to the United States. In 2021, he also allegedly kidnapped two members of the Mexican Navy as part of an attempt to release his mother-in-law, El Mencho’s wife, following her arrest by Mexican authorities. El Mencho then helped his son-in-law fake his death by telling his associates he had killed Gutierrez-Ochoa for lying.

El Mencho was charged in 2022 with leading a criminal enterprise to manufacture and distribute fentanyl in the United States. The U.S. Departement of State has offered a reward up to $10 million leading to his arrest and/or conviction. El Mencho remains on the lam.

"The DEA is relentlessly committed to defeating the Jalisco Cartel, and we will exhaust every tool in the justice system to fight back, to save American lives, and to bring this cartel to justice," added DEA Administrator Anne Milgram.

Houthis claim to have launched a hypersonic missile at Nevatim airbase in Israel
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Shiite military-political movement Ansar Allah (Houthis), which rules northern Yemen, announced on November 22 that it had launched a hypersonic missile at the Nevatim airbase in Israel.

"The Yemeni Air Force launched a strike using a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile at the Israeli enemy's Nevatim airbase in the Negev region in the south of the occupied territories," Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saria said on the AI Masihar television channel.

The military spokesman added that such operations would not stop until "Israeli aggression in Gaza and Lebanon" ended.

Earlier, on November 17, the Ansar Allah movement struck a target in the southern Israeli city of Eilat, a Houthi spokesman said.

On November 12, Saria announced a successful attack on the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea. According to Yemeni media, the operation lasted eight hours. In addition to the aircraft carrier, the Houthis attacked two US destroyers in the Red Sea.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on October 22, the Houthis announced their first strike using a hypersonic missile on an Israeli military base in Tel Aviv. The launched missile "successfully reached its targets, bypassing American and Israeli interception systems," Saria noted.
