UN denies Afghanistan Seat to Taliban for fourth consecutive year
[KhaamaPress] For the fourth consecutive year, the United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
has rejected the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
’s request to assign Afghanistan’s seat to a representative of their group. This decision was made during a session of the Credentials Committee.

Diplomatic sources at the UN confirmed that during the Credentials Committee meeting on November 20, the Taliban’s request to allocate Afghanistan’s seat to their representative was denied.

In this session, the credentials of representatives from Afghanistan, Myanmar, and Libya were discussed.

The members of the Credentials Committee included representatives from the United States, China, and Russia. According to the committee chair’s recommendation, the decision regarding Afghanistan’s representative has been deferred and will be reviewed in a future session of the 77th UN General Assembly.

This marks the fourth instance in which the United Nations has declined the Taliban’s request to take over Afghanistan’s seat. Currently, Naseer Ahmad Faiq, the representative of Afghanistan’s previous government, holds this position.

The Taliban had earlier nominated Suhail Shaheen as their representative to the UN. However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
the United Nations has yet to officially recognize him as Afghanistan’s representative.

The continued denial of the Taliban’s request underscores the international community’s reluctance to legitimize the group’s rule, given ongoing concerns about human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
, especially women’s rights, and inclusive governance in Afghanistan. T

he decision highlights the UN’s position of prioritizing broader global consensus over the Taliban’s unilateral demands.

This development signals that the Taliban will likely face persistent challenges in gaining international recognition. Until substantive reforms and commitments are demonstrated, the global community remains hesitant to grant the group official representation on key international platforms like the United Nations.

Sectarian Strife Engulfs Pakistan’s Kurram District Amid Renewed Shia-Sunni Violence
[KhaamaPress] At least 42 people, including women and kiddies, were killed on Nov. 21 when button men ambushed a passenger vehicle in Pakistain’s restive Kurram district. The victims were reportedly Shiite Moslems, marking the latest episode in a cycle of tit-for-tat violence that has plagued this volatile region for decades.

Nestled in Pakistain’s former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) along the Afghanistan border, Kurram has long been a flashpoint for ethnic, sectarian, and tribal conflict. The district’s mix of Shia and Sunni Moslem populations has made it a focal point for sectarian violence, with deadly festivities erupting periodically and often spiraling into prolonged unrest.

The roots of the current strife trace back to the 1980s, during the Afghan-Soviet War, when religious militancy surged in the region. Foreign-backed groups exploited sectarian differences, and Shia-Sunni festivities escalated as communities vied for dominance. A particularly violent mostly peaceful outbreak in 2007 claimed hundreds of lives, displaced thousands, and entrenched divisions that persist today.

In recent months, sectarian tensions in Kurram have reached a boiling point. Retaliatory attacks — ambushes, bombings, and assassinations — have become disturbingly frequent. Improvised bombs (IEDs) and armed skirmishes have left dozens dead and many more injured. Civilians, caught in the crossfire, bear the brunt of the violence, with thousands forced to flee their homes.

What distinguishes the violence in Kurram is its cyclical nature. Attacks by one group often provoke immediate retaliation, perpetuating a relentless chain of bloodshed. Both Shia and Sunni Death Eater groups have leveraged alliances with external actors, including the Afghan government and Iranian-backed militias, to bolster their positions. These alliances have only deepened the conflict and complicated efforts to restore order.

Local religious leaders have also played a role in fanning the flames. By exploiting sectarian divides for political or personal gain, they have further polarized communities. The competition for territorial control, resources, and political influence has turned Kurram into a battleground for sectarian supremacy.

Pakistain’s efforts to quell the violence have been hampered by a weak state presence in the tribal areas. While the integration of FATA into Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province in recent years aimed to bring these regions under formal governance, Kurram remains largely governed by tribal customs and local militias.

The military has conducted periodic operations to curb militancy in the region, but the root causes of the conflict — historical grievances, lack of governance, and sectarian divisions — remain unaddressed. This vacuum of authority has allowed krazed killer groups, such as Tehrik-e-Taliban
...Arabic for students...
Pakistain (TTP), to exploit the chaos, using the region as a recruitment ground and inflaming tensions to further their ideological goals.

The ongoing violence has triggered a humanitarian crisis. Thousands of families have fled to neighboring districts or crossed into Afghanistan, where they face dire conditions in overcrowded shelters with limited access to food, water, and medical care. Relief efforts are hampered by the lack of security, leaving many displaced families without adequate assistance.

Kurram’s economy, already fragile, has been devastated. Trade routes are blocked, businesses shuttered, and agricultural activity disrupted. For many families, the loss of income has compounded their suffering, plunging the region into deeper poverty.

The crisis in Kurram reflects Pakistain’s broader struggle with sectarianism and extremism. While the government has made progress in curbing militancy in some parts of the country, the tribal areas remain vulnerable to violence due to entrenched grievances, weak governance, and the unchecked influence of gangs.

Without a comprehensive strategy to address the root causes of the conflict, Kurram risks becoming a microcosm of the challenges facing Pakistain. The cycle of violence here underscores the urgent need for robust governance, community engagement, and targeted efforts to bridge sectarian divides.

IDF confirms strikes on Syria-Lebanon border crossing it says was used by Hezbollah to transport weapons

[IsraelTimes] The IDF confirms launching airstrikes against the Jusiyah Crossing on the Syrian-Lebanon border last night, after it was being used by Hezbollah to transport weapons.

The crossing had been struck already once before by the IDF, last month.

The military says fighter jets hit military infrastructure in the vicinity of the crossing, which “are used by the Hezbollah terror organization to transfer weapons from Syria to Lebanon.”

Around 300 delegates from NATO members and partner states are meeting in Montreal from Nov. 22-25.

Local media reports that protesters burned an effigy of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, lit smoke bombs and set two vehicles on fire.

Police used tear gas and batons to disperse the crowd and three people were arrested for assaulting officers and obstructing police work, according to CTV News.

Videos and pictures posted to social media show masked rioters burning flares and battering storefront windows.

"What we saw on the streets of Montreal last night was appalling. Acts of antisemitism, intimidation, and violence must be condemned wherever we see them," Trudeau says in a post on X.

Montreal police says officers carried out a dispersal operation in the downtown area and that the protest was over by 7 p.m. ET.

Chabad rabbi missing in Abu Dhabi, feared kidnapped or murdered; UPDATE: missing rabbi’s body found
[IsraelTimes] PMO confirms disappearance of Zvi Kogan, says Mossad investigating; Hebrew news sites say he may have been followed by Iranian intelligence

Rabbi Zvi Kogan, an emissary to Abu Dhabi’s Chabad chapter, has been missing since Thursday, and Israel’s security services reportedly fear he was kidnapped or murdered, it emerged Saturday.

The Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement confirming Kogan’s disappearance and said authorities were treating the incident as a suspected act of terrorism.

The PMO added that the Mossad intelligence agency had launched an "extensive" investigation into the incident alongside Emirati authorities.

At the same time, the National Security Council issued a reminder that it has advised for some time not to travel to the United Arab Emirates for non-essential purposes.

A statement from the UAE interior ministry said Abu Dhabi was "implementing extensive measures in its search for" Rabbi Kogan, without mentioning his Israeli citizenship.

Ynet cited security officials as saying there was growing suspicion Kogan was murdered, and the Walla news site reported that Israel has information that he was being followed by Iranian intelligence, citing security sources.

Ynet reported that Kogan’s car was found abandoned in in Al Ain, around 150 kilometers (93 miles) from Abu Dhabi, where Kogan is based. It added, without citing sources, that officials suspect a number of Uzbek citizens assaulted the rabbi and later fled to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
Kogan is a dual Israeli-Moldovan citizen, and has been part of the Abu Dhabi Chabad chapter since Israel normalized ties with the UAE in late 2020. According to Ynet, Kogan participated in the first ever Holocaust remembrance day ceremony in the Gulf state in 2021, and led the Yizkor prayer during the event.

Kogan is the nephew of Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg, who was murdered along with his wife in a terror attack at the Nariman Chabad House in Mumbai in 2008, Channel 12 news reported.

Kogan has served as an aide to the Chief Rabbi of the United Arab Emirates, Rabbi Levi Duchman.

[IsraelTimes] A body has been found in the United Arab Emirates amid searches for Rabbi Zvi Kogan, missing since Thursday, Hebrew-language media reports.

According to the reports, the body is undergoing tests to see if it is Kogan, an emissary to Abu Dhabi’s Chabad chapter.

Israel’s security services reportedly feared Kogan was kidnapped or murdered. The Walla news site, citing security sources, reported that Israel has information that Kogan was being followed by Iranian intelligence.

Ynet reported yesterday that Kogan’s car was found abandoned in Al Ain, around 150 kilometers (93 miles) from Abu Dhabi. It added, without citing sources, that officials suspect a number of Uzbek citizens assaulted the rabbi and later fled to Turkey.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Gunman opens fire near Israeli Embassy in Jordan, is shot dead; 3 cops wounded
[IsraelTimes] Local officials say incident is over, as state media says gunfire was directed at a police patrol in Amman and that an investigation is ongoing

A gunman opened fire near the Israeli Embassy in Jordan early Sunday, a security source and state media said, adding that the gunman was killed and three coppers were maimed in the incident, which was over.

Police shot a gunman who had fired at a police patrol in the Rabiah neighborhood of Amman, state news agency Petra reported, citing public security, adding investigations were ongoing.

Jordanian police had earlier cordoned off an area near the heavily policed embassy after gunshots were heard, witnesses said. Two witnesses said police and ambulances rushed to the Rabiah neighborhood, where the embassy is located.

Police had called on residents to stay in their homes as security personnel searched for the culprits, a security source said.

The area is a flashpoint for frequent demonstrations against Israel.

Bilateral relations, established in 1994 but long-suffering from deep unpopularity in the Hashemite Kingdom, took a further hit in 2017 following a deadly shooting incident in Amman involving an Israeli embassy guard.

Two Jordanians were killed and the Israeli security guard, Ziv Moyal, was injured in the embassy compound, during an apparent altercation between them. The details of the event were a subject of disagreement between Israel and Jordan.

have pleaded guilty to people smuggling charges, Britannia’s National Crime Agency (NCA) said on Friday.

Dilshad Shamo, 41 from Iraq, and Ali Khdir, 40 from Iran, ran a people smuggling ring out of the Welsh town of Caerphilly, the NCA said.
Wales
They were first arrested in April of last year and were charged in February with "offences of facilitation of migrants colonists through Europe," the NCA said.

Their trial in Cardiff began on November 11 and they pleaded guilty to all offences after "after hearing ten days of evidence against them," according to the crime agency.

Both were UK citizens, according to Sky News.

The pair "used messaging and social media apps to provide videos from people who had already taken the journey so they could advertise their routes," the British crime agency said, publishing a video from December 2022 in which a man purportedly thanks his smuggler while being transported by lorry.

Kurdish criminal groups control the increasingly lucrative cross-Channel migration routes, according to the NCA, which said in its 2023 assessment that the groups are mainly based in northern Europe.

A spokesperson for the NCA press office told Rudaw earlier this month that the UK is collaborating with the Kurdistan Region to combat "organised immigration crime."

Every year, tens of thousands of people from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region seek to escape endless crises of lack of employment, political instability, and corruption by joining thousands of others from scores of countries taking perilous routes to Europe. The UK is a popular destination for many people, but crossing the English Channel is dangerous and can be deadly.

’s Kurdish-majority southeast on Saturday banned chants of the iconic Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Woman, Life, Freedom) phrase during demonstrations, according to politicians and media reports.

During a demonstration by the pro-Kurdish, women-only party the Free Women Movement in Diyarbakir (known to Kurds as Amed) on Saturday, security forces told protesters to stop chanting "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi," citing a decision from the governor’s office that had declared the phrase "propaganda for a terrorist organization," reported Mezopotamya Agency, a Turkey-based pro-Kurdish outlet.

The media outlet posted videos in which a police officer could be heard using a megaphone to tell protesters to refrain from using "organizational terminology" when the crowd chanted "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi."

The protesters ignored the police warnings and continued their chants and ululations.

Rudaw English has reached out to the Diyarbakir governor’s office, but they were not immediately available for comment.

The slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" was first used in the early 2000s by the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), an all-female, Kurdish armed force in Syria. It regained popularity and spread around the world in 2022 during nationwide protests in Iran

"Yes, the Diyarbakir governor’s office has made such an unreasonable decision. Unfortunately, in Turkey, Kurds and Kurdish cities are no longer governed by the rule of law. They are instead ruled by the arbitrary practices of governors, district governors, and security chiefs, which lack any legal basis," Mehmet Kamac, a DEM Party MP from Diyarbakir, told Rudaw English.

Kamac said the governors are overstepping their roles and "assume the roles of the judiciary and courts."

"The issue is not just about banning slogans. From the appointment of trustees to the arrest of politicians, it is governors, not courts, who have become the main decision-makers. The slogan ’Jin Jiyan Azadi’ is not something a governor can ban," Kamac added.

He said they do not recognize the decision by the governor’s office and they will continue using the chant.

Several DEM party members have written the slogan on their social media accounts and the party issued a statement vowing to keep using the phrase.

"Jin Jiyan Azadi is not just a slogan, it is a truth and the philosophy of our struggle. You cannot erase this truth or turn us away from our fight for freedom by imposing bans. Our struggle will continue, and Jin Jiyan Azadi will keep lighting our path forward," the party said.

There were protests this weekend across Turkey’s Kurdish-majority provinces after the Interior Ministry announced it was removing several more Kurdish mayors from their posts on the allegations they have ties to terrorism and replacing them with trustees.

International rights groups have slammed the policy of removing the mayors.

"Denying hundreds of thousands of voters their chosen local government elected representatives and replacing them with the government’s own appointees not only undermines the democratic process, but violates the right to free and fair elections," Hugh Williamson, Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and Central Asia director at Human Rights Watch, said earlier this month.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
SDF rescues Yazidi man kidnapped by ISIS
[Rudaw] Kurdish security forces in northeast Syria (Rojava) on Saturday announced they rescued a Yazidi man from the clutches of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS), ending over a decade of captivity.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) identified the rescued man as 20-year-old Diyar Ali Raffo, a Yazidi from the village of Kocho in the Shingal area of northern Iraq, who was kidnapped by ISIS in 2014.

"During a special operation conducted by our SDF’s military operations teams (TOL) in the city of Manbij, Diyar was located and freed from a house. An ISIS terrorist cell was attempting to smuggle him to Ottoman Turkish-occupied areas," the SDF said in a statement.

"Diyar sustained injuries during an ISIS hideout bombing," it added, but did not detail the extent of his wounds.

In a video published by the SDF, Raffo, who had no obvious recent injuries, said that he was forced to join ISIS ranks during his captivity.

"ISIS subjected us to their religious indoctrination and forced military training. Those aged 14 and older were compelled to join their ranks," he said.

When ISIS swept through the Yazidi heartland of Shingal in August 2014, committing genocide, the group kidnapped 6,417 women and kiddies who were forced into sexual slavery and labor.

At least 3,581 Yazidis have been rescued, Hussein Qaidi, from the Yazidi Rescue Office, announced in a presser earlier this month after a 26-year-old Yazidi woman was freed from ISIS captivity and reunited with her family.

Many have been rescued from al-Hol, the notorious camp that houses tens of thousands of ISIS families and supporters. Others have been found in areas of Syria controlled by rebels or Ottoman Turkish-backed gangs, and some have been located in third countries.

Rallies stress winter dangers to hostages, as Hamas claims female captive killed in Gaza
The protests do not become any less obscene with time.
[IsraelTimes] IDF says it’s probing claim woman killed in Strip, after terror group releases blurred image of body

Thousands of protesters gathered in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem on Saturday night to demand the release of hostages held by Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, shortly after the terror group’s military wing claimed that a female captive had recently been killed in the northern Gaza Strip, with the Israel Defense Forces saying it could neither confirm nor deny this.

In a statement issued on Telegram on Saturday evening, a front man for the al-Qassam Brigades claimed that "one of the enemy’s female prisoners was killed in an area that is under Zionist aggression in the northern Gaza Strip, while the danger still threatens the life of another female prisoner who was with her."

Alongside the statement, Hamas published a blurred picture of a body it claimed belonged to the slain hostage. It did not identify the woman.

The IDF said in response that it was "checking the information" but added that "at this stage, we are unable to verify or refute it."

"IDF representatives are in contact with her family and are updating them with all the information available to us," the military said, adding that "Hamas continues to use psychological terror and behave in a brutal manner."

Hamas has made similar claims in the past regarding hostages. In some cases, the assertions were proved correct, such as in the case of Alex Dancyg, 75, and Yagev Buchshtav, 35, whom Hamas had announced in March had been killed, with their deaths confirmed months later.

Conversely, in an incident last November, Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
claimed that Hanna Katzir, who had been kidnapped from her home in Kibbutz Nir Oz, had been killed in an Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
. Days later, however, Katzir was released alive on the first day of a week-long temporary ceasefire deal.

Hamas also claimed last November that Shiri Bibas and her two children, Ariel and Kfir, kidnapped at just four years old and 9 months old respectively, had been killed in captivity. The IDF has said this cannot be confirmed, and their fate remains unknown.

’TOO MANY PARENTS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR CHILDREN’
Ahead of the start of the weekly protests, rally organizers said they would focus this week on the dangers to the hostages’ health as they begin their second winter in Hamas captivity. The Hostages and Missing Families Forum’s health team estimated in an assessment earlier this month that some of the remaining hostages had likely lost around half of their body weight.

The central rally at Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square featured speeches from the families of several captives — including Jon Polin and Rachel Goldberg-Polin, the parents of slain Israeli-American hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin — while on nearby Begin Road, Einav Zangauker, mother of hostage Matan Zangauker, delivered a fiery
...a single two-syllable word carrying connotations of both incoherence and viciousness. A fiery delivery implies an audience of rubes and yokels, preferably forming up into a mob...
address to anti-government protesters.

Protesters carried Israeli national flags and held photos of the 97 hostages kidnapped during Hamas’s brutal massacre on October 7 last year who are believed to be held in Gaza. Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai stood among the audience as he listened to the speeches of the hostage relatives.

’BRING THEM HOME FROM HELL’
Nearby, at the anti-government protest outside the Begin Road entrance to the Kirya military headquarters, Einav Zangauker charged that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "needs the war to continue so he can avoid trial."

The prime minister is due to begin giving testimony at his criminal trial in early December after a court denied his request to delay it due to the multifront conflict.

"We have a prime minister who has failed to bring my son home for over a year, and has left 100 other hostages to rot and be raped by Hamas terrorists," she said, according to the Ynet news site. "But the second his front man is arrested for leaking classified documents to foreign media, jeopardizing intelligence sources, he comes to his defense."

Netanyahu’s unofficial front man Eli Feldstein was charged on Thursday with transferring classified information with the intent to harm the state, for allegedly leaking a document to a German newspaper.

"Netanyahu doesn’t care about his citizens who are in Hamas captivity," Zangauker continued, "and he doesn’t care about the soldiers who fall in battle. He only cares about his government."

Yifat Calderon, whose cousin Ofer Calderon has been held in Gaza for 414 days, told the protesters that the $5 million reward announced by Netanyahu earlier this week for anyone who can assist in the release of hostages was in fact "endangering the captives’ lives" by instigating a "gang war at their expense."

She called on the government to secure a single-phase deal to free all of the hostages, including the bodies of at least 36 confirmed dead by the IDF.

Smaller protests were held up and down the country alongside the Tel Aviv rallies, including in Rehovot, Beersheba, Modi’in, Haifa and Jerusalem.

Protesters marched through the streets of the capital, some banging drums and others holding signs reading, "The war is over. Bring them home!" and, "Bring them home from hell."

At the Hemed Interchange near Jerusalem, former defense minister Moshe Ya’alon joined the rally, addressing demonstrators from next to a sign that read, "Starting over. Elections now!"

At Karkur Junction in the Sharon region, anti-government protesters said one activist were tossed into the calaboose for blocking the road, while in Tel Aviv, a group that provides legal representation to anti-government protesters said one person was detained while demonstrating outside the home of far-right Negev and Galilee Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf.

The Arclight airstrike

was carried out by the Joint Operations Command on Friday in the Zughaitoun Valley in southwest Kirkuk.

When Iraqi forces reached the site on Saturday, they discovered the bodies of five suspected ISIS fighters inside the hideout. They also found two boom belts, grenades, and other ammunition.

"We will persist in intensive security operations to eliminate ISIS terrorism wherever it may be," read the statement from the Security Media Cell.

Last week, ISIS planted an improvised bomb on a road in the Tuz Khurmatu district of Salahaddin province that went kaboom!, killing two Peshmerga who were part of a joint Kurdish-Iraqi brigade.

IDF killed Syria-based Hezbollah officer behind 2007 massacre of US troops — report
More on this story from yesterday.
[IsraelTimes] Ali Mussa Daqduq helped plan Iran-backed attack that killed 5 at American-Iraqi base, was tasked by terror group with forming observation posts against Israel on Syrian soil

A recent IDF Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
in Syria killed a senior Hezbollah commander who helped plan an Iranian-led attack that killed five US soldiers in Iraq in 2007, NBC News reported Friday, citing a senior US defense official.

It was unclear precisely when or where the strike that killed Ali Mussa Daqduq was carried out, the official was cited as saying.

Israel, which rarely acknowledged operations in Syria, has recently stepped up airstrikes on Hezbollah there, amid the 2-month-old ground operation against the terror group in Leb

Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
Daqduq was detained by US forces soon after the 2007 attack, in which Iran-backed button men disguised as an American security team infiltrated the joint American-Iraqi military base in Karbala, fired a grenade that killed a US soldier, and captured four others, whom they later rubbed out.

According to NBC, Daqduq — who initially pretended to be deaf-mute — told interrogators that the attack had resulted from the direct support and training of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s elite Quds Force.

The US extradited Daqduq to Iraq, which assured Washington he would be prosecuted. NBC said he was the last prisoner the US handed over to Iraq before withdrawing from the country in December 2011 after eight years of war there. Iraq, in turn, acquitted Daqduq and released him in late 2012, to Washington’s outrage.

The defense official cited by NBC said that soon after his release, Daqduq was back to leading Hezbollah operations.

According to the US Treasury Department, Daqduq had served "as commander of a Hezbollah special forces unit and chief of a protective detail for Hezbollah Secretary-General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

to Hezbollah and Iran-backed fighters including Hezbollah. More than 90 pro-Iran fighters are said to have been killed in an alleged Israeli airstrike on Palmyra on Wednesday.

In 2018, the IDF said Daqduq, a member of Hezbollah since 1983, had been tasked by the Iran-backed terror group with establishing observation posts against Israel on Syrian soil.

In 2019, Israel said it had uncovered a Hezbollah cell, led by Daqduq, operating in a border town in the Syrian Golan Heights. The Shiite terror group’s cell was said to comprise mostly Syrian mercenaries, including some Druze who had joined for "financial reasons."

The military at the time released photographs of the false identification cards Daqduq had used in his movements throughout Iraq, Lebanon and Syria.

Daqduq’s son, Hassan Ali Daqduq, was reportedly killed on December 8, 2023, in an Israeli dronezap in Syria. At the time, Israel didn’t acknowledge the strike, but Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the IDF front man, published footage of it in February as rare evidence that "We will continue to act wherever Hezbollah is present."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
20 killed in Israeli strike on central Beirut said to target top Hezbollah commander
[IsraelTimes] Muhammad Haydar’s fate unclear; overnight strike not preceded by evacuation orders, comes as rockets trigger sirens around Haifa, with impact in Kiryat Ata

A large-scale Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
conducted without warning on a central Beirut building killed at least 20 people and maimed scores more, Lebanese officials said, with media reports indicating that the strike targeted a top Hezbollah leader.

The strike was an attempt to kill top Hezbollah commander Muhammad Haydar, the al-Arabiya news site reported. The report was later confirmed by an Israeli defense source to the Kan public broadcaster.

The Saudi Al Hadath news outlet cited unnamed Israeli sources as saying the strike had failed to kill Haydar. The IDF has not commented on the matter.

At least 20 people were killed in the strike in Beirut and 66 were maimed, Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
’s health ministry said.

The strike on central Beirut, which appeared to have used bunker-buster bombs, came as the Israeli Air Force conducted several waves of strikes on Hezbollah targets in Hezbollah’s Dahiyah stronghold in Beirut’s south. The Israel Defense Forces issued evacuation warnings ahead of those strikes.

Similar strikes carried out without warning outside of the Dahiyah have tended to target high-level Hezbollah members.

Haydar is a member of Hezbollah’s top military body, the Jihad Council, though his exact current position in the Iran-backed terror group is currently unknown. According to Kan, Haydar and another top Hezbollah commander, Haytham Ali Tabataba’i, have been Hezbollah’s de-facto military leaders since Israel killed the terror group’s longtime leader, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The late, lamented satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...>
, along with most of the group’s top military brass in a wave of recent strikes.

A Hezbollah parliamentarian between 2005 and 2009, Haydar had been a close advisor to Nasrallah until the latter was assassinated in September. In 2019, the United States listed Haydar as a "Specially Designated Global Terrorist" for his role in Hezbollah.

The strike said to have targeted Haydar came as a rocket barrage from Lebanon triggered sirens in Haifa and surrounding communities. The IDF said that the barrage comprised five rockets, several of which were intercepted by air defenses.

One of the rockets impacted an industrial zone in the Haifa suburb of Kiryat Ata, causing slight damage to nearby buildings.

There were no injuries.

The Beirut strike, which rocked the working-class neighborhood of Basta at about 4 a.m. local time, destroyed an eight-story building, Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said. The Lebanese civil defense agency reported at least 11 people were killed and 23 injured.

Footage broadcast by Lebanon’s Al Jadeed station showed at least one destroyed building and several others badly damaged around it.

Israel used bunker-buster bombs in the strike, leaving a deep crater, the NNA said. Security sources said at least four bombs were dropped in the attack. Beirut smelled strongly of explosives hours after the attack.
Let Gwen Walz know. She'll get off on that
It marked the fourth Israeli airstrike this week targeting a central area of Beirut. The bulk of Israel’s attacks on the capital have targeted Hezbollah’s Dahiyeh.

A later strike, which was preceded by an evacuation order, hit the neighborhood of Hadath in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Also on Saturday a dronezap killed one person and injured another on a beach in the southern port city of Tyre, according to the National News Agency. The people killed and injured in Tyre were fishermen, the NNA said. An News Agency that Dare Not be Named journalist, who saw the strike from a nearby hotel overlooking the beach, said he had watched the fishermen set up their nets beforehand and they appeared to both be young teenagers.

An Israeli military source told The Times of Israel that the strike in Tyre had targeted Hezbollah operatives. The IDF did not immediately issue a statement on the strike. On Friday, two waves of Israeli airstrikes on the coastal city targeted Hezbollah’s Aziz regional division, responsible for rocket fire on Israel from the western sector of southern Lebanon.

Over the past day, the IDF said Saturday, Israel’s fighter jets have struck several Hezbollah command rooms, weapons storehouses, and other terror infrastructure sites in the Dahiyeh. The military released footage of the strikes. The IDF said the targets were embedded in civilian areas, and that it took steps to limit harm to the population during the strikes.

The strikes came as heavy ground fighting between the IDF and Hezbollah continued in southern Lebanon, with Israeli troops pushing farther from the border.

The IDF said that over the past week, the elite reserve Alpinist Unit, under the 810th "Mountains" Regional Brigade, had located an Iranian-made recoilless rifle, an artillery piece, during an operation on the Lebanese side of Mount Dov, along the border. The troops found rocket launchers and other projectiles at the same Hezbollah site, the military said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Jane reached into her purse for her .38...
the IDF blamed Hezbollah for a Friday rocket barrage that lightly maimed four Italian soldiers from UNIFIL, the international observer force in southern Lebanon. The IDF said the projectiles, which hit a UNIFIL base near southern Lebanon’s Chamaa, were launched from the village of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr.

Italia’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani had also said initial evidence indicated the terror group was behind the "unacceptable" incident.

Italia and other European allies have accused Israel of targeting UNIFIL and rejected Jerusalem’s demand that the peacekeeping force vacate its positions while the IDF pursues Hezbollah.

Israel, in turn, has accused UNIFIL of failing to prevent Hezbollah from building terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon, forcing Israel to act.

Lebanon raises toll to 29 dead in central Beirut strike said to target top Hezbollah commander

Lebanon’s health ministry says a large-scale Israeli airstrike on a central Beirut building yesterday killed at least 29 people, updating an earlier toll.

“The Israeli enemy strike on Basta al-Fawqa in Beirut killed, in an updated but still not final toll, 29 people and wounded 67 others,” the ministry says in a statement.

“Rubble is still being removed” from the strike site, it adds.

GENERAL FLYNN: ‘The Deep State Cannot Afford to Allow President Trump to Implement His Plans to Reform America’
[Gateway] General Flynn shared the following post on social media on Saturday, November 23:

The truth is, the Deep State cannot afford to allow President Trump to implement his plans to reform America.

Scenarios to frustrate:

...There is good reason to believe the Deep State has been involved in frustrating or overriding critical decisions made by American Presidents for at least three decades. Nearly eight years ago, Senator Schumer warned, or threatened, incoming President Trump not to criticize the Intelligence Community because "they have six ways from Sunday of getting back at you." This threat has even greater relevance for his second term.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Elon Musk jokes about buying MSNBC with risque meme
[NYPOST] Space and electric car tycoon Elon Musk shared a bawdy meme on his X platform that joked about tapping into his deep pockets to purchase MSNBC following the bombshell news that Comcast planned to spin off the lefty cable network.

''And lead us not into temptation —,'' Musk, 53, wrote in the X post accompanied by a meme showing what appears to be a priest struggling to remain pure next to a woman exposing herself.

In the racy meme, the priest is overlayed with the text ''Elon Musk trying not to buy'' while an MSNBC logo was placed over the woman's bottom.

Almost exactly two years ago, Musk dusted off the same meme, with different text, to poke fun at President-elect Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
's temptations to return to Twitter (which has since been rebranded to X).

Over recent days, the billionaire and serial meme poster has bantered about purchasing the cable news platform and overhauling it.

MSNBC's parent company Comcast — the parent company of NBC — has been eyeing plans to spin off nearly all of its cable channels into a company dubbed SpinCo. Other channels in the group include CNBC, Oxygen, E!, Syfy and the Golf Channel.

Critics of the cable news network have seized on the development to pose questions about MSNBC's future in light of the dramatic shift and internally workers at the channel have been gripped by anxiety.

''Everyone is in a panic because everything is up in the air,'' one MSNBC source previously told The Post.

MSNBC is home to liberal darlings such as Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid and Lawrence O'Donnell.

Amid the upheaval, soon-to-be first son Donald Trump Jr. joked that Musk should purchase MSNBC.

''Hey @elonmusk, I have the funniest idea ever!!!'' the Trump scion wrote on X in response to another post suggesting that MSNBC would be up for sale.

''The most entertaining outcome, especially if ironic, is most likely,'' Musk replied on X.

Podcast titan Joe Rogan chimed in, writing ''If you buy MSNBC I would like Rachael Maddow's job. I will wear the same outfit and glasses, and I will tell the same lies.''

Musk replied, ''Deal.''

Thus far, Musk only appears to be joking about purchasing the liberal news network. Musk has an estimated net worth of $348 billion and is the richest person in the world, according to Bloomberg.

It might not all be fun and games, though. The tech mogul also joked about purchasing Twitter (now X) for years before he actually pulled the trigger.

''How much is it?'' he asked in 2017 on the platform.

Ultimately, Musk purchased the platform in 2022 for $44 billion in a deal that wrapped up in October of that year.

Musk has grown increasingly political over recent years and has spent ample time in the wake of the Nov. 5 presidential election at Mar-a-Lago meeting with Trump, 78, and the incoming president's allies.

Farming Robot Kills 200,000 Weeds per Hour With Lasers
[The Mind Unleashed] The agricultural world is witnessing a remarkable transformation, driven by groundbreaking technology. Among the most fascinating innovations is a farming robot equipped with lasers that can destroy hundreds of thousands of weeds in mere hours. This high-tech solution is not just a marvel of engineering but a timely response to persistent challenges in farming, from labor shortages to the environmental impact of chemical herbicides.

By combining artificial intelligence with precision laser technology, companies like Carbon Robotics are reshaping the way farmers tackle one of agriculture’s most labor-intensive tasks. These futuristic machines offer a glimpse into the potential of sustainable farming, where innovation meets efficiency, paving the way for a healthier and more productive future for agriculture.

Weeds have been a persistent challenge for farmers, creating a constant battle for resources in the field. These invasive plants not only compete with crops for vital sunlight, nutrients, and water but also provide a safe haven for pests that can wreak havoc on harvests. The presence of weeds significantly reduces crop yields and quality, making effective weed management essential for agricultural success. For centuries, farmers have relied on labor-intensive methods and chemical herbicides to combat this problem, but these approaches are not without their flaws.

Been working on this for a few years, and if you have ever been downwind of someone deciding to go ahead and spray on a windy day, law and sense be damned, I'm ok with this.

My question for viability would be the logistics of it all, especially power consumption and initial purchase costs and upkeep. Do you have to run a power cord with it, or consider travel and charge time to a charging station, running a diesel generator out in the crops? And we've seen with Juan Deere what happens when a company has a lock on maintenence issues.

Government Corruption
Democrat Business as Usual?
[GatewayPundit] Former Polish Minister: At Least Half of US Aid Was Laundered by Ukrainians and Much Was Given to Democrats

Former Polish Minister Piotr Kulpa says up to half of the US aid to Ukraine was laundered by Ukrainians, and much was given to US Democrats.

Maybe that’s why the Democrat lawmakers were waving Ukrainian flags on the House floor?

In March 2022, the wife of former Ukrainian MP Ihor Kotvitskyi declared 28 million dollars and 1.3 million euros when entering Hungary.

And, she’s not the only one.

Another Ukrainian diplomat tried to flee Ukraine with 68,000€, $140,000, 12kg gold, 13.8kg gold jewelry and a large number of cigarettes.

Your tax dollars at work — making corrupt Ukrainian politicians rich.

Now even foreign diplomats are speaking out against the money laundering.

Via Azerbaycan24:

Kiev laundered money for the Democrats, taking a cut of what was left over, Piotr Kulpa has claimed.

Ukraine did not receive as much foreign aid as claimed by the administration of US President Joe Biden, and whatever help it did get was largely embezzled, a former Polish deputy minister has claimed. Up to a half of the funds that reached Kiev was stolen by Ukrainian officials, Piotr Kulpa has alleged.

The political commentator previously held several posts in the Polish government, serving as deputy labor minister in the mid-2000s, and is currently a regular contributor on Ukrainian online shows. Kulpa is a vocal supporter of US President-elect Donald Trump, as evidenced by his remarks to Ukrainian journalist Lana Shevchuk on Thursday.

“Everyone understands that war-related corruption is linked not only with Ukraine, but also the supplier nation,” he said. “Who would ever believe that the US burned through $2 trillion in Afghanistan? It’s delusional!”

US aid programs are a mechanism to “write off large sums of money that finance shady systems under the Democratic Party’s control,” he alleged. The incoming Trump administration could review government finances and discover the truth that “Ukraine got very little” compared to the amounts mentioned in public statements, Kulpa claimed…

…If Kiev were to recover all the embezzled money for the Ukrainian budget, the country would have enough for a year, Kulpa said.

India-Pakistan
Islamabad locked down ahead of protests seeking ex-PM Imran Khan's release
[NY Post] Pakistan’s capital was put under a security lockdown on Sunday ahead of protests by supporters of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan calling for his release.

Highways leading to Islamabad through which supporters of Khan, led by members of his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, are expected to approach the city and gather near the parliament, have been blocked.

Most major roads of the city have also been blocked by the government with shipping containers and large contingents of police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed in riot gear, while mobile phone services have been suspended.

Gatherings of any sort have been banned under legal provisions, the Islamabad police said in a statement.

Global internet watchdog NetBlocks said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that live metrics showed WhatsApp messaging services had been restricted ahead of the protests.

A key Khan aid, Ali Amin Gandapur, who is the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and is expected to lead the largest convoy into Islamabad, called on people to gather near the entrance of the city’s red zone, known as "D Chowk".

Islamabad’s red zone houses the country’s parliament building, important government installations, as well as embassies and foreign institutions’ offices.

"Khan has called on us to remain there till all our demands are met," he said in a video message on Saturday.

The PTI’s demands include the release of all its leaders, including Khan, as well as the resignation of the current government due to what it says was a rigged election this year.

Khan has been in jail since August last year and, since being voted out of power by parliament in 2022, faces a number of charges ranging from corruption to instigation of violence.

He and his party deny all the charges.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Gazprombank Sanctioned Effective Tomorrow - SWIFT System Severed
[AyPee] The biggest remaining unsanctioned Russian bank hit with U.S. sanctions, nearly three years into war.

Russia’s third largest bank, Gazprombank and its six foreign subsidiaries were hit with U.S. sanctions on Thursday — in a move intended to curtail Russia’s ability to evade the thousands of sanctions imposed on the nation since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the sanctions targeting Russia’s largest remaining non-sanctioned bank would further diminish Russia’s military effort and “will make it harder for the Kremlin to evade U.S. sanctions and fund and equip its military.”

In addition, more than 50 internationally connected Russian banks, 40 Russian securities registrars, and 15 Russian finance officials were hit with sanctions.

The move comes after President Joe Biden this weekend authorized Ukraine to use U.S.-supplied missiles to strike deeper inside Russia, easing limitations on the longer range weapons as Russia deploys thousands of North Korean troops to reinforce its war.

In addition, on Wednesday the Pentagon announced that it will send Ukraine at least $275 million in new weapons, including an undisclosed number of antipersonnel land mines, as the Biden administration rushes to do as much as it can to help Kyiv fight back against Russia before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said the U.S. “remains committed to putting Ukraine in the strongest possible position, and we will continue to take all available steps to do so from surging security assistance to imposing and fully enforcing sanctions and other restrictions on Russia’s war machine.”

Among other things, the sanctions deny the people and firms access to any property or financial assets held in the U.S. and prevent U.S. companies and citizens from doing business with them.

Canada and the United Kingdom have previously sanctioned Gazprombank.

Treasury states that Gazprombank is a means for Russia to fund its military to continue its war effort against Ukraine, using the bank to pay soldiers and compensate families of Russian soldiers killed in the fighting.

Gazprombank played a role in remaining Russian natural gas supplies to Europe by handling payments from foreign customers.

Earlier rounds of sanctions spared Russian gas because Europe’s economy was so dependent on it but Europe is now far less reliant on Russian gas, which is down to about 18% of imports. Russia cut off of most supplies in 2022, plunging the continent into an energy crisis.

European governments and utilities have now lined up alternative supplies, much of it liquefied gas brought by ship from the U.S. and Qatar. Ukraine says it will halt flows of Russian gas through a pipeline across Ukraine to Europe - about 4% of Europe’s gas imports - at the end of the year. Gazprom recently cut off shipments through that pipeline to Austria’s OMV in a commercial dispute; OMV has said it has plenty of reserves and can find alternative supply elsewhere. The EU has set a nonbinding goal of ending all Russian gas imports by 2027.

Home Front: WoT
Meet the charities spending millions to stop illegal immigrants from being deported
[WashingtonExaminer] The organizations, which include donor-advised funds shifting around millions of dollars in untraceable funds, Soros-backed philanthropies, and large legal groups, collectively spent at least $101.9 million on programs intended to aid illegal immigrants colonists in avoiding deportation. While some of the programs paid for by these nonprofit organizations involved advocacy efforts, the vast majority were oriented toward providing immigrants colonists with legal resources to thwart deportation.

"They realize if they paralyze the legal system, they win," Federation for American Immigration Reform Media Director Ira Mehlman told the Washington Examiner. "The longer you are delayed, the longer you stay here before you see your day in court, the less likely it is that you can be removed."

"Clearly, tying up the courts is a tactic in winning this ideological battle," he continued.

While these charities shoveled tens of millions of dollars into the legal system on behalf of immigrants colonists facing deportation, the number of new migrants colonists illegally entering the country spiked. Border Patrol had over 5 million encounters with individuals attempting to enter the country between fiscal 2021 and 2023, according to government statistics. As the number of people in the country illegally increases rapidly, immigration authorities have had difficulty processing them, particularly those arriving and claiming asylum, in part due to the massive strain placed on the legal system.

The backlog of cases in U.S. immigration courts reached a record 3 million in November 2023, working out to an average of 4,500 pending cases per judge.

While some migrants colonists do have a legitimate claim to asylum, "if you throw lawyers and money at every single economically motivated undocumented Democrat, then the system basically just grinds to a halt," Simon Hankinson, a senior research fellow in Heritage Foundation’s Border Security and Immigration Center, told the Washington Examiner.

La Raza Community Resource Center, an immigration nonprofit organization based out of the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
, was one of the biggest spenders among the groups resisting deportation efforts, disbursing $14.1 million between 2021 and 2023 for a program providing legal services to asylum-seekers and migrants colonists facing deportation. Immigrant Justice Corps, meanwhile, is a New York-based charity that spent $20.2 million over the same period on a fellowship program placing recent college graduates at nonprofit organizations across the country to provide illegal migrants colonists with legal services.

Research suggests that the efforts of nonprofit organizations to provide illegal immigrants colonists with legal services may be effective in preventing deportation. A 2014 study conducted by Stanford Law School found that migrants colonists with lawyers were three times more likely to win their deportation cases than those without legal representation, for example. Only 30% of individuals in immigration courts are represented by attorneys, according to a Syracuse University report.

Legal Services of New Jersey, a nonprofit organization that provides free legal representation in civil rights litigation to low-income residents of the state, was also a major force in antideportation efforts between 2021 and 2022. The organization distributed $12.5 million worth of grants over that period to help other organizations provide "legal assistance for individuals facing detention or deportation."

Pangea Legal Services, located in San Francisco, spent over $5 million on providing representation to asylum-seekers and people who entered the country illegally between 2021 and 2023. In those years, the nonprofit organization served nearly 1,500 clients through its program, according to its tax forms.

Hankinson told the Washington Examiner that the Biden administration wants to keep illegal immigrants colonists in the country "for three reasons: globalist ideology, political leverage to force another amnesty, and hopes that if they become citizens, they will all vote Democrat — hopes which seem less credible after November 5."

"NGOs are motivated by ideology and, increasingly, by the massive income they now get from government-funded illegal immigration," he continued.

Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Jane reached into her purse for her .38...
Mehlman said the reasons nonprofit organizations fight to keep illegal immigrants colonists in the United States range from ideological to economic, as many NGOs receive funding from business interests that see them as a source of "cheap labor."

The Soros family’s Foundation to Promote Open Society donated $500,000 to the Immigrant Legal Resource Center in 2021 to support its "New Way Forward" campaign. The campaign pushed changes to the legal system that would end the automatic deportation of some criminal aliens, end the mandatory detention of illegal aliens, and decriminalize entering the U.S. without proper documentation. The Soros family’s foundation also gave the Transgender Law Center $250,000 in 2021 to "support Black LGBTQIA+ migrants colonists through organizing and base-building, deportation defense and strategic communications."

Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Jane reached into her purse for her .38...
former Sequoia Capital partner Michael Moritz’s family foundation pumped $3 million into the Immigrant Legal Resource Center to support its "deportation defense" operations between 2021 and 2022. Moritz has also donated millions of dollars to organizations opposing Republicans.

Group of children returned from Syria to Dagestan
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Ten children have been returned from Syria to Russia; after examination they will be transferred to relatives in Dagestan.
ISIS Lion Cubs returned from the al-Hol camp, where the SDF stashed the women and children captured during the reconquest of the Islamic State caliphate. Rudaw, the Kurdish news site, has nothing about it yet, but they’ll catch up. Dagestan has been more responsible than most about taking their people back.
According to Marina Yezhova, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in Dagestan, 26 children whose parents are from the republic have been returned to Russia from Syria. The children will soon be handed over to relatives living in Dagestan.

"A group of 26 children arrived, 10 of them are Dagestanis. They will be handed over to their families after a medical examination and rehabilitation. In total, 383 children have been returned to the Republic of Dagestan since the beginning of the campaign to return children from armed conflict zones," TASS quoted Yezhova as saying on November 22.

There are still 1,200 children from Dagestan remaining in refugee camps in the Middle East, she said.

The Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, clarified in her Telegram channel that a group of 26 children from Syria was returned on November 22.

Let us recall that, according to various sources, there are hundreds or even thousands of children from Dagestan, Chechnya and other regions of the Caucasus in the Middle East. Their lives and health are in particular danger after the Islamic State terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, began to suffer large-scale defeats, according to the Caucasian Knot article " Children of the Caliphate: What Awaits Them After ISIS".

Budanov spoke about Russia's execution lists
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] Before the invasion of Ukraine, Russian occupiers were given instructions on the location of collective graves.

Russia was preparing for the genocide of Ukrainians long before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine and was compiling execution lists. This was stated by the Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Kirill Budanov, speaking at the forum Genocidal Practices of the Russian Federation in Ukraine: from the Holodomor to the Russian-Ukrainian War, the special service reported on Saturday, November 23.

"We have seen terrible mass crimes against Ukrainian citizens, the facts of which have become known to the entire world. The atrocities of the Russian Armed Forces units in Borodyanka, Bucha, Gostomel, Izyum, Mariupol and many other settlements in Ukraine have shown that these identical and synchronous actions were based on clear doctrinal provisions of the Russian genocidal policy of the authorities and military leadership," he said.

According to Budanov, the execution lists should include teachers of the Ukrainian language, literature, history, ATO veterans, journalists, scientists, writers, priests of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and other confessions who supported Ukraine, public and political figures, heads of state and local government bodies.

Also, according to his data, Russia's preparation for genocide against the Ukrainian people included the creation of mobile crematoriums and provided for mass burials. Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian occupiers were given instructions on the location of collective graves.

Recall that, according to the UN, in October, Russians killed at least 183 Ukrainian civilians , including nine children. Another 903 people were injured. And from the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 to the end of October 2024, 12,162 civilians were killed and 26,919 were injured.

However, these data are far from complete and do not include, for example, victims among the residents of Mariupol. According to various estimates, from 20,000 to 100,000 people could have died in this city alone.

Europe
Someone else's chicken is disturbing. Macron is waging war with the EU over meat, rice and grain
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Olesya Orlenko

[REGNUM] The world's media are once again full of reports about protests by French farmers. Demonstrations of varying scale are taking place across the country, despite the fact that since the beginning of the year the government has been announcing measures that in one way or another satisfy the demands of dissatisfied agricultural workers voiced during previous demonstrations. Are the peasants' protests caused by the state of affairs or is their mood being manipulated?

The main reason for the ongoing farmers' protests is unanimously named as the EU's imposition of a trade agreement with the countries of the Mercosur common market of South America on France. It currently includes four countries: Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.

Negotiations between these countries and the EU lasted for about 20 years and in 2019 culminated in the signing of an agreement providing for duty-free import of agricultural products produced there to Europe. This document has not yet been ratified by all EU countries, including France.

The problem is that chicken, beef, grain, rice and other products grown in Latin America were produced using antibiotics and pesticides that were long banned in European countries. As a result, the resulting products have a lower cost price and can be sold cheaper. This is what the French say will kill their agriculture.

The strangest thing is that the French authorities initially took the side of the farmers in this matter. During the first wave of protests, former Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire promised to “impose the will of France” on the EU leadership, claiming that the country had every opportunity to do so.

And now both President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Michel Barnier have clearly and repeatedly stated their firm intention to prevent duty-free import of products from Mercosur countries to the domestic market. So what are agricultural workers unhappy about?

Last year's demonstrations were organized by farmer unions of various political orientations: centrists, liberals, and even left-wing and far-right. The reason for the protests was not only the agreement with Mercosur, but also the duty-free trade with other Eastern European countries, in particular with Ukraine. And also the general decline in the country's agriculture, due to which there is a rapid reduction in enterprises in the industry.

Since then, the government has taken a number of measures to support French producers. In particular, it has introduced a number of tax breaks, established subsidy programs, and in April of this year, an inter-industry agreement was adopted regulating the relations of all workers involved in agriculture with state bodies, agricultural processing enterprises, trade operators and other parties.

However, farmers complain that not everyone receives subsidies, tax breaks do not apply to a number of important expenditure items, and state aid is generally very selective. And the implementation of the sectoral agreement had to be postponed due to early parliamentary elections, as a result of which the final settlement of the issue was postponed until 2025.

Lack of investment in agriculture means that farmers are left defenseless against natural phenomena. As a result, the last dry summer caused record low grain harvests. Moreover, French producers have been working at a loss for several years now, losing approximately 550 euros per hectare cultivated.

Agricultural workers are especially offended by the fact that the average citizen does not realize the importance of the problems facing them. After all, the lack of goods produced in the country can always be compensated for by importing, for example, from Ukraine. So supermarket shelves will not be empty. And therefore the demand to ban duty-free trade with Ukraine has not lost its relevance, although this time the media is trying to disguise it as much as possible from the French-speaking audience.

In addition to the farmers' daily work problems, there is also a social component associated with resentment towards the political class and the urban population, which they consider indifferent. Many politicians, with varying degrees of success, are trying to attract this category of voters to their side. Most of the accusations of attempts to manipulate their opinion are addressed to the "National Rally". However, the president's supporters are also trying to win the trust of the protesting farmers, in particular the "Village Union", which is called Macron's "pocket" party.

There is another circumstance. The organizers of the current demonstrations are the National Federation of Agricultural Workers' Unions (FNSEA) and the Young Farmers union. In addition to the ban on the agreement with Mercosur, the union activists are demanding the introduction or maintenance of a number of benefits, as well as a fairer purchasing policy from retail chains and distributors purchasing agricultural products.

But these are far from all the demands and problems that worry French farmers, including those protesting these days. They accuse the protest organizers of defending the interests of large producers to the detriment of small farmers.

Many believe that the reason for the FNSEA's activity is the upcoming elections to the French Chamber of Agriculture, which are scheduled to take place in January 2025. This body is run by the state and represents the interests of workers and organizations involved in the sector.

Unlike the Accounts or Industrial Chambers, members of the Agricultural Chamber work effectively with trade union workers, and therefore have great influence in regional and central government bodies. FNSEA is the largest association in this organization and has an absolute majority in a number of its local offices.

It is possible that the federation has mobilized supporters for some kind of election campaign, using the anger of distressed farmers to its advantage. At least, some protesters are voicing such concerns. At the same time, a significant number of agricultural workers see the current protests as an opportunity to once again highlight the industry’s problems.

On November 26, the French parliament is to consider the ratification of the agreement with Mercosur. At the same time, the EU, especially Germany and Spain, are strongly insisting that France must agree to ratify it. Otherwise, Mercosur member countries will expand their ties with China and Russia in search of alternative partners. Therefore, the future of French agriculture now depends on the outcome of the confrontation between Macron and the European Union.

Government Corruption
FEMA getting nasty in NC
[X]

…an arrogant Stephen Duncan (Chimney Rock Town Administrator, and also NC elections commissioner)-what a surprise...

Duncan also owns major stakes in commercial properties in the area, he claimed we could no longer cross the county line to run supplies or aid into Chimney Rock, he asked who gave us the authority to cut the WV Boys road to CR, I said "The Lord gave us the authority".

Since then, Duncan never liked me much, after I recorded him without his knowledge, I posted the video and shortly after I was asked to leave Bat Cave by the Henderson County Sherriff's office for false claims made against me. Now, in my absence, FEMA has advanced funds for a contract in the amount of $288,000 to provide multiple gates blocking the people's road, it will be manned by armed private security with night vision... They basically started their own militia to bully property owners around.

America, I ask again, where is the Red Line?

StopAntisemitism released a new report covering worsening anti-Semitism in America’s colleges and universities.
The report, “Antisemitism on U.S. College and University Campuses,” claims there has been a “jaw-dropping 3,000% rise in antisemitic tips and submissions,” attributing this trend to the failure of universities “to protect their Jewish students in the wake of violent antisemitic uprisings.” Many schools either “ignored” the worsening anti-Semitism or worked to “actively” make “hostile environments for their Jewish students.”

Some key findings of the report are that more than half of Jewish students “have personally been victims of antisemitism at their schools,” more than 40 percent of Jewish students “hide their Jewish identity from their classmates out of fear,” almost 70 percent “say Jews are completely excluded from their schoolʼs DEI initiatives,” and 43 percent “would not recommend their school to fellow Jewish students.”

The report criticizes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, saying these “completely exclude Jewish students,” and that anti-Semitic discrimination is “frequently minimized.”

StopAntisemitism graded individual schools regarding their friendliness to Jewish students and their response to anti-Semitism. The schools that received A grades are Baylor, Clemson, Elon, and Mississippi Universities.

The schools that received failing grades were Emerson College, the New School University, the University of California, Davis, the University of Oregon, the University of Washington, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Brown University, and Cornell University.

“The fact that Albanese was invited by the chairs of the Human Rights, Economics, and Anthropology departments is proof that at Columbia and Barnard, antisemitism is not a bug but a feature of our institution” Eden Yadegar, president of Students Supporting Israel Columbia University, told the Times of Israel.

Antisemitic Protest Targets Harvard Hillel, Jewish Student Center
An antisemitic protest targeted the Hillel building, the center of Jewish religious and communal life, at Harvard University on Monday night, as it hosted a lecture by a former spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

“Zionists are not welcome here!” protesters chanted, along with “From the river to the sea/Palestine will be free,” which is a call for the destruction of Israel. A “Zionist” is someone who believes in Israel’s right to exist;
…that’s incomplete. A Zionist is someone who believes that Israel is the national homeland of the Jews, just like Ireland is the national homeland of the Irish and France is the national homeland of the French, and that Israel has the right to exist. An anti-Zionist is someone who believers that, unlike all the other peoples of the world, Jews do not get to have a national homeland, and any uppity enough to try deserve to be killed horribly for it…
over 90% of Jewish people subscribe to that belief, meaning that if “Zionists” are not welcome, neither are Jews in general. The Hillel building itself is not technically on Harvard’s campus, but it is the center of religious life for Harvard students, especially undergraduates..

The protest was organized by a group calling itself Harvard Jews for Palestine, which was not a recognized student group as of last year. Harvard’s Palestine Solidarity Committee allowed unrecognized student groups to take the lead in campus protests last year after its radical tactics put it in danger of being disciplined. (The Palestine Solidarity Committee was suspended by the university in April, amid “encampment” protests, and reinstated in September.)

At least Six Russian Wagner Group Mercenaries Killed in Islamist Attack in Mali
[Breitbart] At least six Russian mercenaries were killed in an attack by an al-Qaida-linked group in central Mali, according to a statement by the extremists on its media platform.

The group, known by its acronym, JNIM,
… the Al Qaeda in the Sahel group that in Arabic is called JNIM and in French is GSIM. Recent estimates of its size range from 2,000-6,000 turbans…
said it ambushed a convoy of mercenaries working for the Wagner Group on Thursday in the Mopti region, killing fighters and burning vehicles.

A Mali security official who works in the area confirmed an attack on Russian soldiers occurred on Thursday and that several people died while manning a checkpoint in the center of the country. The official spoke on condition of anonymity on Saturday because he was not authorized to speak to the media

Russia has capitalized on deteriorating relations between the West and coup-affected Sahel nations in West Africa to send fighters and assert its influence. Wagner has been active in the Sahel, the vast expanse south of the Sahara Desert, with the mercenaries profiting from seized mineral riches in exchange for their security services.

Wagner has been present in Mali since late 2021 following a military coup, replacing French troops and international peacekeepers to help fight militants who have threatened communities in the central and northern regions for more than a decade. At the same time, Wagner has been accused of helping to carry out raids and drone strikes that have killed civilians.

The incident comes months after the deadliest attack on the group, where approximately 50 Wagner fighters were killed by an al-Qaida ambush on their convoy along the border with Algeria.

Ukraine is ready to share its experience of destroying Wagnerites with Africa

African countries will have many problems due to Russian influence both on the continent and in the markets, Zelensky said.

Ukraine is ready to share with African countries, among other things, the experience of destroying Russian mercenaries - Wagnerites. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at the 3rd International Conference on Food Security Grain from Ukraine on Saturday, November 23.

"We know who the Wagnerites are. We know how to fight them. We know how to destroy them. This shows that we have the relevant experience," the head of state said.

Zelensky recalled that Ukrainian military personnel had previously participated in peacekeeping missions on the African continent. According to him, Ukraine can contribute to the security sphere using the experience of a modern army.

The President noted that African countries may be interested in technologies developed in Ukraine, such as air and sea drones. In addition, Ukraine is ready to help in the field of cyber defense, having experience in repelling numerous cyber attacks on the financial system and communications.

Zelensky added that Russian influence poses numerous challenges to African countries both on the continent and in markets. He called on African states to prioritize security and independence over the benefits of cheap resources, even in difficult economic conditions.

Among other areas of cooperation, Zelensky highlighted food security, education, mining, digitalization, and the Diia application.

"We can offer all these things with pleasure," the president said.

Let us recall that earlier the terrorist group Al-Qaeda in Mali announced an attack on a Wagner PMC convoy and the elimination of six Russian mercenaries.

With evangelicals locked, Trump wooed Chabad, the Amish, Copts
Old-fashioned politicking at this level makes for feel-good reading in the midst of all the craziness out there.
[IsraelTimes] US president-elect courted niche communities, knowing every vote could be critical, particularly in swing states.

A visit to a revered Jewish gravesite. A social-media tribute to Coptic Christians. A billboard in Amish country.

While Donald Trump
...Never got invited to a P.Diddy party...
’s lock on the white evangelical vote is legendary, he and his campaign allies also wooed smaller religious groups, far from the mainstream.

As it turned out, Trump won by decisive margins, but his campaign aggressively courted niche communities with the understanding that every vote could be critical, particularly in swing states.

Voter surveys such as exit polls, which canvass broad swaths of the electorate, aren’t able to gauge the impact of such microtargeting, but some backers say the effort was worth it.

Trump directly reached out to members of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement and visited the burial site of the movement’s revered late leader, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, on October 7, the anniversary of the Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
attack on Israel that triggered the ongoing war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
Wearing a kippa, the Jewish ritual head covering (sometimes called a yarmulke or skullcap), Trump, who has Jewish family members, brought a written prayer to the "Ohel" and laid a small stone at the grave in keeping with tradition.

The site in New York City, while particularly central to Chabad adherents, draws an array of Jewish and other visitors, including politicians.

About two-thirds of Jewish voters overall supported Trump’s opponent, Democrat Kamala Harris
former senatrix from California, 2020 Dem presidential hopeful and ultimately Joe Biden's intended successor
, according to AP VoteCast, a survey of more than 120,000 voters. But the Trump campaign has made a particular outreach to Orthodox Jews, citing issues including his policies toward Israel in his first administration.

Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowitz of Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida said it was moving for him to see images of Trump’s visit.

"The mere fact that he made a huge effort, obviously it was important to him," he said.

Just one week before the election, meanwhile, Trump directed a post on the social media platform X to Coptic Christians in the United States — whose church has ancient roots in Egypt. He saluted their "Steadfast Faith in God, Perseverance through Centuries of Persecution and Love for this Great Country."

"This was the first time seeing a major US presidential candidate address the community in this manner," said Mariam Wahba, a Coptic Christian and research analyst with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington-based research institute. "It was really a profound moment."

She said many Copts share the conservative social views of other Christian groups in the Republican constituency, and they may already have been Trump supporters. But the posting reinforced those bonds. Coptic bishops sent the president-elect congratulations after his victory and cited their "shared social and family values."

Some Assyrian Christians — another faith group with Middle Eastern roots — similarly bonded with Trump, whose mispronunciation of "Assyrian" at a rally created a viral video moment and drew attention to their support.

Sam Darmo, a Phoenix real estate agent and co-founder of Assyrians for Trump, said many community members cited the economy, illegal immigration and other prominent voter issues. They echoed other conservative Christians’ concerns, he said, on issues such as child sacrifice abortion, gender identity and religious expression in public. But he said Trump supported various Middle Eastern Christians recovering from the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group’s oppressive rule.

Darmo also credited Massad Boulos, father-in-law to Trump’s daughter Tiffany, for mobilizing various Middle Eastern Christian groups, including Chaldean Catholics, and other voters, particularly in Michigan, such as Moslems.

"He brought all these minority groups together," he said. "We’re hoping to continue that relationship."

But members of Middle Eastern-rooted Christian groups, and their politics, are far from monolithic, said Marcus Zacharia, founder of Progressive Copts, a program of Informed Immigrants colonists, an organization that promotes dialogue on sensitive topics among such groups in the United States and Canada.

He said many younger community members question Trump’s stances on issues such as immigration, and a sense that conservatives sometimes tokenize them by focusing on the plight of persecuted Christians in the Middle East while neglecting wider issues of repression in countries there that the US supports.

He said there needs to be more informed dialogue across the political divide in these communities. "There is no more high time than these next four years to have that way of conducting conversations," he said.

COURTING THE AMISH
Republicans also made an aggressive push for Amish voters, particularly in the swing state of Pennsylvania, where they are most numerous at about 92,000 (many below voting age).

The GOP has made similar efforts in the past, even though researchers have found that less than 10 percent of them typically vote, due to their separatism from society. But Republicans used billboards, mailers, ads and door-to-door campaigning to drive turnout in Lancaster County, home base to the nation’s largest Amish settlement.

On Election Day, Amish voters Samuel Stoltzfus and his wife Lillian Stoltzfus said they were supporting Trump, citing their anti-child sacrifice abortion beliefs.

"We basically look at it as murder," Stoltzfus, 31, said outside a polling center in the Lancaster County community of New Holland, where dozens of other members of the local Amish community voted. Trump has wavered on the issue, dismaying some child sacrifice abortion opponents, though many have said Republicans still align more closely to their views.

Stolzfus added: "Make America great again and keep the moral values," he said. "Let’s go back to the roots."

Steven Nolt, a history professor at Elizabethtown College in Lancaster College who studies the Amish and their voting patterns, said that while it’s too early to say definitively without further research, he doesn’t see evidence of a larger turnout this year.

Lancaster County as a whole — most of which is not Amish — is a GOP stronghold that Trump won handily, though both parties’ votes edged up from 2020, according to unofficial results posted by the Pennsylvania Department of State.

Trump’s biggest increases were in urban or suburban areas with few Amish, while some areas with larger Amish populations generally saw a modest increase in the Trump vote, said Nolt, director of the college’s Young Center for Anabaptist and Pietist Studies.

"Bottom line, percentage-wise, not much change in the parts of Lancaster County where the Amish live," he said.

Europe
Amid anti-Israel hostility, Irish Jews say antisemitism is now rooted in public schools
Time to join the rest of the Irish Jews in Israel?
[IsraelTimes] As already critical atmosphere intensifies since the Oct. 7 massacre, new report reveals unwelcoming classrooms and skewed lessons on Jews that the government is slow to address

Dublin resident Justine Zapin’s two sons, ages 8 and 10, arrived at their public elementary school earlier this month to find Irish politician Chris Andrews outside handing out "Free Paleostine" bracelets to pupils.

The bracelets caused discomfort for the brothers and some of their Israeli classmates. When they asked a third classmate if he would be willing to remove his, he became upset and reported them to the teacher. The 8-year-old later said he "felt like he got in trouble" with his teacher for expressing his unease, while his older sibling faced peers questioning his objection with remarks like, "But Israel started the war," and "Israel’s killing babies."

After the Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
-led massacre on October 7, 2023, a classroom discussion implied that "the Jews deserved this," Zapin said, with objections receiving minimal response from school officials.

Some 1,200 men, women, and children were slaughtered in the full-scale invasion of southern Israel, and 251 were kidnapped to the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Strip.

More recently, the school — part of the Educate Together network, which, according to its website promotes equality-based and inclusive education — dismissed a pupil’s Nazi salute as "boys being boys."

"There is clearly a culture in the school that is permissive, if not welcoming, to these sort of anti-Israel, anti-Jewish narratives," Zapin said.

Zapin’s sons’ experiences dovetail with the release of a report this month by education monitoring group IMPACT-se, which exposed profound distortions of the Holocaust, Israel, Judaism, and Jewish history in Irish textbooks.

In one example highlighted in the report, a religious studies textbook cited Islam as being "in favor of peace and against violence," while Judaism "believes violence and war are sometimes necessary to promote justice." The New Testament parable of the "Good Samaritan" is illustrated with an image of a boy wearing a Paleostinian scarf protesting against Israel.

A history textbook refers to Auschwitz — the Nazi concentration camp in Poland where over 1 million Jews were murdered — as a "prisoner of war camp."

In a children’s textbook retelling the story of Jesus, a comic strip contains the line, "Some people did not like Jesus," with disapproving figures depicted in distinctly Jewish attire, including tallits and kippahs. In another instance, Jesus is described as having lived in "Paleostine."

"Misrepresentations of historical facts can perpetuate narratives that challenge Israel’s legitimacy and foster political agendas against the state of Israel," the report said.

IMPACT-se CEO Marcus Sheff said in a statement issued with the report’s release that the Irish curriculum "views Jews and Judaism as a lesser part of Ireland’s social fabric," and that growing hostility towards Jews and Israelis in Ireland should therefore "come as no surprise."

PEOPLE OF THE TEXTBOOKS
On November 7, the Irish parliament passed a non-binding motion conceding that "genocide is being perpetrated before our eyes by Israel in Gaza," with Irish Foreign Minister Micheal Martin saying that Ireland further intends to join South Africa’s case against Israel for genocide at the International Court of Justice before the end of the year.

Ireland is one of eight EU countries where IMPACT-se is analyzing textbooks, Sheff told The Times of Israel.

"Clearly there is a problem in Europe," he said. "Textbooks play a unique role in society, they create the societies of the future and are capable of acting as barriers to radicalization, which young people might be receiving from other elements, from parents, from media, and from social media."

Responding to the report, Ireland’s Chief Rabbi Yoni Wieder said that while some of the inaccuracies relating to Judaism and Jewish history could be chalked up to "sloppy research and a lack of familiarity," those concerning the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict were likely intentional.

"It’s hard to understate the extent to which Israel features in Irish public discourse," Wieder said. "For over a year, politicians and the mainstream media have demonized Israel on a near daily basis."

"The IDF is routinely portrayed as intentionally targeting children and civilians. No mention is ever made of the lengths it goes to protect innocent lives. Rarely is there any talk of the atrocities perpetrated by Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran, or the threat they pose to Israel and to their own people," he said.

Weider cited Dublin City Councilor Punam Rane, who, in an October 7 meeting coinciding with the first anniversary of the Hamas onslaught, claimed that "the entire US economy is ruled by the Jews, by Israel."

Irish Jews report feeling much more isolated, Wieder noted, with many voicing a "fear of speaking out." The rise in "inflammatory rhetoric has created a context in which antisemitism can thrive," he said, but cautioned against "overstating the extent of antisemitism."

Some Jews "feel very frightened and frequently think about what could happen to them or their families, while others feel safe and don’t see any major cause for concern," he added.

The Jewish Representative Council of Ireland, the main body of representation for the Irish Jewish community, told the London-based Jewish Chronicle that young Jews felt "under siege" in the classroom, forcing a number of them to change schools due to antisemitism. JRCI chair Maurice Cohen said his efforts to discuss concerns with Irish Education Minister Norma Foley were repeatedly denied. Her department told the newspaper, "There is no evidence of antisemitism being taught in Irish schools."

Zapin, who moved to Dublin from the US several years ago to pursue a PhD, is now considering which country to move to next, despite having been "very, very happy" in Ireland until October 7. Meanwhile,
...back at the comedy club, Boogie was cracking himself up, but nobody else seemed to be getting the non-stop jokes...
she is working on transferring her children to Dublin’s Jewish school.

"It comes down to how we want our children to learn, what we want them to learn and how we can keep them and us safe," she said.

What’s going on in the Philippines? Vice President says she hired assassin to kill president and his wife if needed
[IsraelTimes] Security stepped up for President ‘Bongbong’ Marcos after ex-ally Sara Duterte tells reporters she contracted assassin to carry out hit in case she is killed: ‘No joke, no joke’

Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte said Saturday she has contracted an assassin to kill the president, his wife and the speaker of the Philippines’ House of Representatives if she herself is killed, in a brazen public threat that she warned was not a joke.

Lucas Bersamin, Manila’s Executive Secretary, referred the "active threat" against Philippine President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. to an elite presidential guards force "for immediate proper action." It was not immediately clear what actions would be taken against Vice President Duterte.

The Presidential Security Command immediately boosted Marcos’s security and said it considered Duterte’s threat, which was "made so brazenly in public," a national security issue.

The security force said it was "coordinating with law enforcement agencies to detect, deter, and defend against any and all threats to the president and the first family."

Marcos ran with Duterte as his vice-presidential running mate in the May 2022 elections and both won with landslide victories on a campaign call of national unity.

The two leaders and their camps, however, rapidly had a bitter falling-out over key differences, including in their approaches to China’s aggressive actions in the disputed South China Sea. Duterte resigned from the Marcos Cabinet in June as education secretary and head of an anti-insurgency body.

Like her equally outspoken father, former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, Sara Deuterte has become a vocal critic of Marcos, his wife Liza Araneta-Marcos and Manila’s House Speaker Martin Romualdez — an ally and cousin of the president — accusing them of corruption, incompetence and politically persecuting the Duterte family and its close supporters.

Her latest tirade was set off by the decision by House members allied with Romualdez and Marcos to detain her chief of staff, Zuleika Lopez, who was accused of hampering a congressional inquiry into the possible misuse of her budget as vice president and education secretary. Lopez was later transferred to a hospital after falling ill and wept when she heard of a plan to temporarily lock her up in a women’s prison.

In expletives-laden remarks delivered at a pre-dawn, online news conference, an angry Sara Duterte accused Marcos of incompetence as a president and of being a liar, along with his wife and the House speaker.

When asked about concerns over her security, the 46-year-old lawyer suggested there was an unspecified plot to kill her.

"Don’t worry about my security because I’ve talked with somebody. I said: ’If I’m killed, you’ll kill BBM, Liza Araneta and Martin Romualdez," she said, using the initials that many use to call the president. "

’No joke, no joke,’" she added, without elaborating.

"I’ve given my order, ’If I die, don’t stop until you’ve killed them.’ And he said, ’yes,’" the vice president said.

Under the Philippine penal code, such public remarks may constitute a crime of threatening to inflict a wrong on a person or his family and is punishable by a jail term and fine.

Amid the political divisions, Philippine military chief Gen. Romeo Brawner issued a statement with an assurance that the 160,000-member Armed Forces of the Philippines would remain nonpartisan "with utmost respect for our democratic institutions and civilian authority."

"We call for calm and resolve," Brawner said. "We reiterate our need to stand together against those who will try to break our bonds as Filipinos."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Aiming to enable return of displaced Israelis, IDF pushes deeper into south Lebanon
Another eye witness report from an embedded reporter.
[IsraelTimes] Troops are now operating in ‘second line of villages’ to remove Hezbollah threat of invasion and direct missile fire, though rockets will still fly unless a ceasefire is reached

After a night of rain, the army’s routes into southern Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
were coated in a very thick layer of mud. A soldier driving a Humvee with a group of journalists this week came prepared with a waterproof suit and goggles.

"Hold on tight," the driver said, as the army vehicle sped down a sharp slope after crossing the border from Israel into the western sector of southern Lebanon, splashing mud and rainwater into the air.

Earlier this month, the Israel Defense Forces had expanded its ground operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Troops have pushed into what the military calls the "second line" of villages, after largely completing its operations against the Lebanese terror group in the border-adjacent towns.

Remnants of the IDF’s operations against Hezbollah in the first line of villages were visible during the drive. Numerous houses were in piles of rubble, though others seemed to be standing with minimal damage.

Hezbollah staging grounds — some of them underground, some inside the villages, and some in forested areas — with massive amounts of weapons and equipment have been blown up by the army. The military has destroyed any house that had been used by Hezbollah, sparing those where no weapons were found.

Senior IDF officers have said that since dismantling Hezbollah’s infrastructure in the first line of villages — along with much of the villages themselves — the threat of an invasion by the terror group into northern Israel has been removed.

IDF roadblocks, set up in northern Israel to prevent civilians from driving on roads that were exposed to anti-tank missile fire from Lebanon, have all been removed in recent days.

Removing the invasion and anti-tank missile threats could enable the some 60,000 displaced Israelis from the north to return to their homes, after they were evacuated shortly after Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
’s October 7, 2023, onslaught in the south amid fears Hezbollah would carry out a similar attack and increasing rocket fire by the terror group.

Still, the IDF has not explicitly said that the residents of the north can return yet, and local authorities are in no rush to call on their citizens to come home, with some even calling on the army to further expand its operations in southern Lebanon.

In the second line of villages, the IDF is still finding Hezbollah staging grounds, along with fighting positions from which the terror group has launched anti-tank missiles directly at Israeli border communities and military posts along the border.

"Our task is to make sure that there is no ammunition left and no enemy infrastructure left in the area so that in the end, it allows the political echelon to return the residents to the Galilee and the north," said Lt. Col. Roi Katz, a battalion commander in the 188th Armored Brigade, during a press tour of a village in the western sector of southern Lebanon this week, around 2.5 miles from the border.

Katz said it would be "impossible" for Hezbollah to use the area where his forces have operated so far as a staging ground "to enter and raid the territory of the State of Israel and attack the citizens of the Galilee with ease."

At Katz’s makeshift post in the Lebanese village, a truck full of Hezbollah rockets, anti-tank missiles, bombs and machine guns was being prepared to be taken back to Israel.

The commander said that some of the weapons were left behind at the Hezbollah position and destroyed, because they were either too heavy to bring back or damaged in a way that would make them unsafe for transport.

The second line of villages is only around 4-5 miles from the Israeli border, meaning that the threat of rocket fire and drones launched by Hezbollah at northern Israel is still present.

In recent days, the terror group has been raining down around 100 rockets a day on the Galilee, as well as the northern city of Haifa. Hezbollah has also launched several missile attacks on central Israel.

The projectiles are being launched from deeper within southern Lebanon — in areas where IDF ground forces are not operating — and, in some cases, from the northeastern Hezbollah stronghold of Baalbek — where Israeli ground troops will likely never operate.

Some residents of the Galilee have returned to their homes amid the IDF’s ground operation, but not en masse. Some have explained that staying in other northern towns is no safer these days. In an unfortunate irony, border cities like Nahariya, which were never evacuated, have suffered several deadly rocket attacks.

But the tank battalion commander refused to say if it was safe for the residents of the border towns to return.

"I do not decide whether the residents of the north can return to their homes. I will carry out all the goals that were defined for me because I understand that in the end, it will allow the state to return them," he told The Times of Israel.

Defense and military officials have indicated that the only way to enable the return of the displaced civilians to the north and put an end to the rocket fire is via a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, which may be within reach but has thus far proven elusive.

Israeli researcher Zeev Erlich, 71, who had been brought into southern Lebanon by a senior commander to examine an archaeological site — an ancient fortress — without the proper approvals, was killed in a battle with two Hezbollah operatives, alongside Sgt. Gur Kehati, 20, of the Golani Brigade’s 13th Battalion.

Two other officers, including the chief of staff of the Golani Brigade, Col. Yoav Yarom — who brought Erlich into Lebanon — were maimed.

Shortly before the incident, Katz told news hounds that his forces had encountered more Hezbollah operatives in this area of southern Lebanon compared to other villages where his battalion had operated in recent weeks, raising further questions about Erlich’s visit to the frontlines.

"It should be said that we always had the upper hand and all the enemies we encountered were defeated," he said.

"As long as we work in a focused, orderly manner and bring all the capabilities of the army to the table, there really is no enemy that can stop us."

More than 427,000 people internally displaced within Somalia in the first 10 months of 2024
[ShabelledNews] More than 427,000 people have been internally displaced within Somalia in the first 10 months of 2024, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) said Tuesday.

According to the UNHCR-led Protection and Solutions Monitoring Network (PSMN), the rate of internal displacement due to conflict and insecurity increased significantly in October, with Gedo, Bay and Banadir regions in southern Somalia recording the highest inflows of displaced populations.

The PSMN, which has been tracking internal displacement trends for the past 17 years, recorded about 66,000 internal displacements in October, of which 50,000 were attributed to conflict and insecurity, while 3,000 were due to climate-induced shocks such as drought and floods, the UNHCR said in its operational update released in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

Khamenei's Son Designated as next Supreme Leader
[Ynet] Sources close to Tehran's regime claim Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei elected his second son for the role and may abdicate even before his death

The report claimed that 60 members of Iran's Assembly of Experts convened on September 26 in an exceptionally unusual meeting at the elder Khamenei's demand. They were instructed to decide on the succession immediately, without prior notice and under strict confidentiality.

Despite initial opposition to both the decision and the process, the assembly ultimately reached a unanimous agreement to designate Mojtaba as the successor following the leader's and his representatives' insistence, which allegedly included direct threats.

Russian ballistic missile ring laser gyroscopes for missile guidance!

Russian ballistic missile ring laser gyroscopes for missile guidance! Two laser beams are generated & travel in opposite directions within a ring-shaped cavity. When the gyro rotates, the effective path length for each beam changes slightly due to the Sagnac effect. 1/5

Considering that each group of RVs takes about 0.5s to reach the ground from the cloud, which is about 2 km from the earth's surface, the RVs reach the ground at a speed of about 4 km/s or almost Mach 12. This is breathtaking & staggering! There is no defense against it! 1/4

Drift rate is typically 0.001 to 0.01 degrees per hour for high-end systems. High-grade RLGs used in intercontinental ballistic missiles or submarine-launched ballistic missiles provide a circular error probable (CEP) of 200-500 meters or better over intercontinental ranges (10000 km+). The U.S. Minuteman III or the Russian RS-24 Yars, the gyros contribute to a CEP of 90-200 meters when paired with other guidance aids like star trackers or GPS. So the Russian medium-range ballistic missile Oreshnik will probably have a CEP of around 40-90 meters at a distance of 3000 km! 5/5

(AMIA) Jewish cultural center. In November of 2023, police in Brazil foiled plans for a major terrorist attack on multiple Jewish targets in the country—home of Latin America’s second largest Jewish population second only to Argentina.

Hezbollah’s patron, the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran, facilitates Hezbollah’s presence in Latin America by building advantageous relationships with authoritarian-leaning countries in the region.

In July of 2023, the BBC reported that Iran and Bolivia signed a bilateral agreement to expand "cooperation in the fields of security and defense." The Iranian defense minister, Mohammed Reza Ashtiani, acknowledged that the deal involved "the sale of equipment and the training of personnel," including the purchase of Iranian drones by Bolivia. Iran and Venezuela signed a 20-year cooperation agreement in 2022 to increase ties in the oil, petrochemical, economic, and military sectors.

Bolivia and Venezuela are rich in uranium and other resources. In 2009, Iran helped Venezuelan engineers with "geophysical aerial probes and geochemical analyses (to find) uranium deposits" as reported by EcoAmericas. By contrast, while the presence of uranium deposits is known in Bolivia, the government has labeled information on the topic as "reserved", meaning the location, size, and potential for mining are not publicly disclosed. Around the same time Venezuela and Bolivia had discovered uranium deposits in their regions, a secret Israeli government report obtained by AP news found that: "Venezuela and Bolivia are supplying Iran with uranium for its nuclear program." In fact, in late October 2024, Bolivia produced its first nuclear fuel for a research reactor .

Furthermore, both countries are linked with narcotrafficking markets, in which Hezbollah and other terrorist groups are involved. Historically, Bolivia is one of the largest producers of the coca leaf. Due to its abundance, Bolivia naturally played a large role in the Latin America drug trade and supplied an estimated 15% of the cocaine market in the United States during the 1980’s. According to a 2022 White House blurb, Bolivia’s steadily growing cocaine production poses a public health threat to the U.S. due to increasing cocaine related overdoses. As of 2009, Bolivia’s president at the time Evo Morales, expelled the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) from the country after nearly three decades of maintaining a presence.

Venezuela is also involved in the cocaine market. Through collaboration with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia
FARC or FARC-EP, is either a Marxist-Leninist revolutionary guerrilla organization or a drug cartel based in Colombia. It claims to represent the rural poor in a struggle against Colombia's wealthier classes, and opposes United States influence in Colombia, neo-imperialism, monopolization of natural resources by multinational corporations, and the usual raft of complaints. It funds itself principally through ransom kidnappings, taxation of the drug trade, extortion, shakedowns, and donations. It has lately begun calling itself Bolivarian and is greatly admired by Venezuela's President-for-Life Chavez, who seemingly fantasizes about living in the woods and kidnapping people himself. He provides FARC with safe areas along the border.
(FARC), a known Hezbollah ally, Venezuela serves as a main export hub for cocaine into the United States and Europe. Early in the Biden Administration, the U.S. Department of Justice announced several narcoterrorism indictments against the Maduro regime, including Nicolás Maduro himself, for conspiring with FARC to facilitate and profit from the cocaine trade.

In March of 2020, former Venezuelan-Syrian politician, Adel El Zabayar, was indicted by the Justice Department for conspiring with Nicolas Maduro and other regime leaders in a narcoterrorism plot involving Colombian FARC dissidents, Mexican narco mobs, and operatives from Iran, Syria, Hamas, and Hezbollah to carry out planned attacks on the United States. Last month, Mijal Gur Aryeh, Israel’s Ambassador to Costa Rica, condemned Venezuela and Bolivia for hosting Hezbollah and Iranian terrorists. Earlier this year, Patricia Bullrich, the Security Minister of Argentina, also made the claim that "Bolivia hosts hundreds of members of the Quds Force," a branch of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

People on terrorist watchlists have been apprehended at the southern border of the United States, and at least one Hezbollah operative attempting to enter the country illegally. Since the October 7th attack on Israel, Hezbollah has launched over 8,000 rockets at the Jewish state, causing "over 70,000" Israeli’s to evacuate their homes.

Hezbollah’s presence in Latin America should alarm Western defense officials. While the terrorist organization continues to volley missiles at Israel daily, it is also increasing its involvement in transnational criminal activity, as its financiers the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran increases its influence in the region. The incoming Trump Administration, with newly appointed Secretary of State Marco Rubio
...The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida...
—an unyielding opponent of repressive regimes—should work closely with its Latin American allies and Israel to destroy Hezbollah’s fundraising in the region which not only enables terrorist activity in the Middle East, but also threatens the southern border with illicit drugs and potential terrorism.

#1  "Hezbollah’s presence in Latin America should alarm Western defense officials." This has been known for decades. Under Stroessner, Paraguayan diplomats in Lebanon sold thousands of passport and immigrant documents to Hezbollah. Today, Paraguay's Ciudad del Este is run by Hizbollah, and its presence is noteworthy in Brazil's Foz de Iguacu where in the 90s it worked closely with members of the ruling family to gain access to southern Brazil.

Astronomers Record Powerful Sound Wave After Galaxy Collision
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] One of the most powerful shock waves recorded by astronomers in the entire history of observations has reached Earth. It was caused by a collision in a group of galaxies known as Stephan's Quintet, writes the British journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (MNRAS).

Galaxy NGC 7318b collided with four other galaxies in the group at 2 million mph (3.2 million km/h), creating a shock front similar to the "sonic boom of a fighter jet," Live Science notes.
"The only thing worse would be a new Yoko Ono single dropping"
According to Marina Arnaudova, an astrophysicist at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, humanity has a rare chance to observe the complex process of galaxy collision. The "new intruder" NGC 7318b crashed into a huge intergalactic debris field, which led to the compression of plasma and gas.

"In doing so, it reactivated the plasma, causing it to glow brightly at radio frequencies and likely triggered the process of star formation," Arnaudova said.

Stephan's Quintet, discovered in 1877 by French astronomer Edouard Jean-Marie Stephan, is located 290 million light years from Earth. At the core of the group are galaxies NGC 7317, NGC 7318a, and NGC 7319, which are thought to have been impacted by an "old intruder" — galaxy NGC 7320c. During the collision, almost all of their interstellar medium was ejected into intergalactic space, and the "new intruder" 7318b is currently interacting with this region, the MNRAS report specifies.

Scientists are confident that observations of the merger and interaction of galaxies will allow us to understand how they formed and evolved.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, in the fall of 2022, the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST), known as the "China Sky Eye", discovered a huge structure of atomic gas while observing Stephan's Quintet. According to a study published in the journal Nature, the linear scale of the structure of atomic hydrogen reaches approximately two million light years, or 0.6 megaparsecs, which is the largest of its kind ever discovered in the Universe.

290 million light years from Earth, is about 1,703,630,854,080,000 miles in distance. (1.703 Quadrillion miles)

Since light travels much faster than a Shock wave. Have we actually exp. what Astronomers saw yet?

Also, wouldn't this 290+/- year old Shock Wave have spread out 90 to 180 degree cone and dissipated?

WiKi (Researchgate.net) "Over longer distances, a shock wave can change from a nonlinear wave into a linear wave, degenerating into a conventional sound wave as it heats the air and loses energy. The sound wave is heard as the familiar "thud" or "thump" of a sonic boom, commonly created by the supersonic flight of aircraft."

Red Cross has found out the fate of more than 1,200 people who went missing near Kursk
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Representatives of the Russian Red Cross (RKK) have found out the fate of more than 1,200 people who went missing in the Kursk region after the attempted invasion of Ukrainian troops. This was reported on November 23 by the organization's press service.
So very good of them. Now do the those kidnapped by Hamas over thirteen months ago. It shouldn’t be hard — there are only about 100 of them, and something like half are already dead.
Since August, the RCC noted, requests have been received to search for more than 6,000 people, including lonely elderly people.

"We managed to restore contact or learn the fate of 1,253 people. The work continues," the statement said.

The organization provided assistance to 46 residents of the Sudzhansky district, who were taken to Ukraine in August and returned to Russia on November 22. People were given things, provided psychological support and helped to contact relatives.

Chairman of the RSC Pavel Savchuk emphasized that the Russians returned to their homeland thanks to three months of coordinated work.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, among the 46 residents of the Kursk region who returned as a result of the negotiation process with Ukraine, 12 were children. The people were placed in the Bryansk region, provided with food and opportunities for recreation.

On the morning of August 6, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) invaded the Kursk region, intending to seize the territory. Their advance was stopped by Russian troops. A counter-terrorist operation is in effect in the Kursk, as well as the Belgorod and Bryansk regions, to ensure the safety of citizens.

Russian President Vladimir Putin reported on October 25 that the Russian Armed Forces had created a reliable ring around enemy units in the Kursk region and were continuing to squeeze it.

The number of civilians who have been recognized as victims in the case of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on the Kursk region is in the thousands. Criminal cases have been opened against Ukrainian military leaders involved in committing crimes in the Kursk border area, the Russian Investigative Committee reported.
