Report: Killers of UAE Chabad rabbi were planning to take him to Oman
[IsraelTimes] The Wall Street Journal reports that the killers of Chabad Rabbi Zvi Kogan in the United Arab Emirates had kidnapped him and planned to take him to neighboring Oman.

The report says the three suspects were driving the Israeli-Moldovan national toward the border until their plan was somehow disrupted.

While the cause of Kogan’s death has not been revealed, the outlet says he came to a “bloody end,” according to his friends and family.

Kogan, a 28-year-old UAE-based rabbi, went missing in Dubai at the end of last month and his body was found a few days later in the Emirati city of Al Ain, which borders Oman.

The UAE is holding three suspects over the murder — all of them Uzbek nationals who were arrested in Turkey.

According to Kan, Israeli officials believe that Kogan’s killing was not necessarily carried out on behalf of Iran, but that it was a terror attack.

IDF: Yet another ballistic missile launched from Yemen successfully intercepted outside Israel’s borders
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says a ballistic missile launched at Israel from Yemen was successfully intercepted by air defenses outside of Israel’s borders.

Sirens sounded in central Israel amid the incident.

Shrapnel from the interception reportedly fell within Israel. There are no immediate reports of injuries.
Update from Breitbart, courtesy of Skidmark:
[Iran backed] Houthis Fire Another Missile at Central Israel, Defying President-elect Trump

The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen fired another ballistic missile at Israel on Sunday morning, in a gesture of defiance against President-elect Donald Trump and despite a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Sirens were activated across a wide swath of central Israel once the missile was detected:

The Houthi rebels evidently claimed they had launched a “hypoersonic” missile, but given that hypersonic missiles are an advanced technology possessed by very few countries, and are almost impossible to intercept, that seems unlikely.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement: “Following the sirens that sounded between 06:21-06:22 in the areas of the Shfela, Lakhish and the Yarkon, one projectile launched from Yemen was intercepted by the IAF [Israeli Air Force] prior to its crossing into Israeli territory.”

Israel has faced a war on seven fronts — Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Iran, and the West Bank — and only the Lebanese front is quiet, for now, as the result of a ceasefire that represented a victory for Israel over Hezbollah.

Israel is still fighting in Gaza, where Hamas holds 101 Israeli hostages. And despite Israeli responses, the Iranian-backed rebels in Yemen continue to launch missiles.

President Joe Biden removed the Houthis from a terrorism list upon taking office in 2021, reversing an action by President Donald Trump, who returns to office in less than two months but who has already had an impact on the Middle East.

Trump’s election arguably encouraged the ceasefire in Lebanon, and has apparently prompted Hamas to seek new negotiations on a ceasefire and hostage deal. Iran has also said that it called off a planned third ballistic missile attack on Israel due to Trump’s openness to negotiations.

However, Iran is still determined to show that its proxies are undeterred, and has not stopped the Houthis from attacking Israel. The rebel group also still poses a threat to international shipping through the Red Sea.

‘Make a deal, Bibi’: A year since Nov. 2023 truce, thousands rally for hostages
Bitter anti-Bibi speechifying stripped out, leaving only a few facts about selfish Antifa idiots choosing to dance to Hamas’s tune.
[IsraelTimes] Thousands of Israelis gathered in protests across Israel on Saturday evening, calling for a deal to free hostages held in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
’s October 7, 2023, massacre and marking a year since the end of a week-long hostage-ceasefire deal last November — which negotiators have failed to replicate despite intensive efforts.

Some 2,000 people attended the main rally in Tel Aviv, where several people who were kidnapped by snuffies and freed in the November deal addressed the rally, along with some relatives of hostages still held in Gaza.

Thomas Hand, whose 9-year-old daughter Emily was kidnapped from Kibbutz Be’eri and released after 50 days in captivity, said his daughter had told him the water she was given in captivity was putrid; that the hostages were forced to use the bathroom with the door open while a male terrorist watched them; and that "they were told to repeat words in Arabic, and at the end, they were told: ’You’re Moslem now.'"

"Make a deal, Bibi," he said, using Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s nickname. "You have had more than enough time to get the job done."

Earlier on Saturday, Channel 12 published a poll showing overwhelming public support (71 percent) for a hostage deal that ends the war in Gaza, compared to 15% who oppose such terms and 14% who don’t know.

And even among supporters of Netanyahu’s conservative bloc, 56% said they would back a deal that stops the war in return for the hostages, 24% oppose it and 20% don’t know.

Hours before the Saturday evening protests, Hamas published a propaganda video of American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander.

A block away, hundreds of anti-government activists protested in front of the Begin Street entrance to the IDF Headquarters.

At the entrance to the rally, a group urging "nonviolent mostly peaceful civilian rebellion" held an informational session about disobedience tactics and advice on what to do in case of arrest.

One seasoned activist, surrounded by around two dozen neophytes, advised against relying on their right to remain silent if detained: "If you use your right to remain silent, your condition in court ends up being worse," he said.

chairman Yair Golan, and Noam Dan, cousin of hostage Ofer Kalderon.

Other protests and rallies were held in cities across the country, with the notable exception of Caesarea, near the private home of Netanyahu, where some of the most intense protests have been held over the past 14 months. Organizers halted the Caesarea protests last week after it became clear that Netanyahu no longer spends time in the coastal city.

Islamic Advocacy Group C.A.I.R. Must Turn Over Donor Lists, Federal Court Rules
[LegalInsurrection] Court: CAIR must produce the names of donors of $5,000 or more and contributions by “any individual or entity within … Saudi Arabia, Qatar or Kuwait.”

The Islamic advocacy group CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations
... the Moslem Brüderbund's American arm ...
) must disclose the sources of its funding, a federal district court has ruled in a defamation case against the organization.

The lawsuit was brought by Lori Saroya, a former chapter head and employee at CAIR, who resigned in 2018. After she left, Saroya took to the internet, the court filing says, in social media posts accusing CAIR of creating a hostile work environment and financial mismanagement.

CAIR first sued Saroya for defamation over those online accusations in 2021, alleging they "falsely implied CAIR received funding from foreign governments and terrorists." It later voluntarily dismissed its lawsuit in 2022. But the legal dispute between the parties didn’t end there.

Rather than leave well enough alone, CAIR renewed the hostilities less than 10 days later in a blurb suggesting it had won its case against Saroya on the merits. It said she was using lawfare to "demand the names of CAIR supporters who have donated to us," and accused her of "cyberstalking," a state and federal crime, the court noted this week.

That blurb turned the tables. Now Saroya is suing CAIR for defamation over its accusations. And unlike CAIR’s earlier lawsuit, this one has legs.

As a nonprofit organization, CAIR isn’t ordinarily required to reveal its donors’ identities. But Saroya’s claims bring that information within the scope of discovery, federal Magistrate Judge David Schultz ruled this week. Saroya alleges "eyebrow-raising financial mismanagement" in the lawsuit, including "hiding from its own Board the sources, nature and magnitude of massive foreign funding of CAIR."

In its order granting her sweeping request for discovery, the court required CAIR to turn over the names of donors of $5,000 or more from 2014 through 2022, and documents showing contributions by "any individual or entity within, or any governmental unit of, Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula, largely made up of sand and oil rigs. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Formerly dictatorial and steeped in Olde Tyme Religion, deferring to Salafist holy men on all issues, it has now done a 180 and is making a serious effort to modernize, so as not to be left in the sand by its Gulf Arab neighbors. The holy men have been shoved to the background and the nation is now still dictatorial but somewhat Frational. That doesn't make them trustworthy, but it's a start...

They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
or Kuwait between 2007 and 2014."

That broad ruling, the court said, was "a self-inflicted wound occasioned by its own blurb. In commenting on the merits of the 2021 lawsuit in the manner in which it did, CAIR resuscitated the very issues that had just been laid to rest."

"CAIR’s blurb has opened the door to litigating—and thus discovering—the merits of the 2021 litigation," Judge Schultz wrote on Monday.

While it holds itself out as a Moslem civil rights organization, CAIR has long been accused of sympathizing with Islamic terror, including Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
, a designated foreign terrorist organization.

Last year, CAIR executive director Nihad Awad celebrated Hamas’s October 7 attacks against Israel at an event for American Moslems for Paleostine: "I was happy to see people breaking the siege...the people of Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
have the right to self-defense, have the right to defend themselves, and yes, Israel, as an occupying power, does not have that right to self-defense," he said.

In an interview with The Post, Saroya’s lawyer, Jeffrey Robbins, described Monday’s ruling as "the mother of all legal boomerangs": "It will force CAIR to ’turn over evidence about everything from fundraising practices, such as having raised money from foreign sources and concealed it; whether it deceived donors; whether it mismanaged donor money; whether it retaliated against employees or threatened to retaliate against employees for raising concerns about sexual harassment or the like,’ he told the paper.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Helmuth had turned a paler shade of blue. Star-A-Star had struck again...
although the court hasn’t set a deadline for discovery, it has scheduled a settlement conference for early next year. Now that it’s under order to open its books, CAIR could decide to settle—and close the case, only this time for good.

Trump wants pardoned real estate developer Charles Kushner to be ambassador to France
Tells you what Trump thinks of France, Ambassador is a pardoned criminal AND a Joooo? Suck on it, Macron. [10News and Ay-Pee] President-elect Donald Trump said Saturday that he wants real estate developer Charles Kushner, father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, to serve as ambassador to France.

Trump made the announcement in a Truth Social post, calling Charles Kushner "a tremendous business leader, philanthropist, & dealmaker."

Kushner is the founder of Kushner Companies, a real estate firm. Jared Kushner is a former senior Trump adviser who is married to Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka.

The elder Kushner was pardoned by Trump in December 2020 after pleading guilty years earlier to tax evasion and making illegal campaign donations.

Prosecutors alleged that after Charles Kushner discovered his brother-in-law was cooperating with federal authorities in an investigation, he hatched a scheme for revenge and intimidation

Kushner hired a prostitute to lure his brother-in-law, then arranged to have the encounter in a New Jersey motel room recorded with a hidden camera and the recording sent to his own sister, the man’s wife, prosecutors said.

Kushner eventually pleaded guilty to 18 counts including tax evasion and witness tampering. He was sentenced in 2005 to two years in prison — the most he could receive under a plea deal, but less than what Chris Christie, the U.S. attorney for New Jersey at the time and later governor and Republican presidential candidate, had sought.

Christie has blamed Jared Kushner for his firing from Trump’s transition team in 2016, and has called Charles Kushner’s offenses "one of the most loathsome, disgusting crimes that I prosecuted when I was U.S. attorney."
Sure. Have a donut, you POS
Trump and the elder Kushner knew each other from real estate circles and their children were married in 2009.

Armed Terrorists Attack Iranian Consulate In Syria, Tehran Says
[ZH] Delicious karma
On Saturday as the new jihadist assault on Aleppo was unfolding, the Iranian government announced that "some terrorist elements" attacked the Iranian consulate located in the large northern Syrian city.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei in a statement said his country "strongly condemned the attack" by "some armed terrorist elements" on the consulate of the Islamic Republic, and noted that all its staff members are safe.

While few other details were given, Baghaei stressed further that Tehran plans to provide a "serious" response to the attack, "both legally and internationally."

Iran has also branded the new offensive launched out of Al-Qaeda held Idlib as "an American-Zionist" plot. The past ten decades of proxy war in Syria did see Israel team up with the Sunni anti-Assad insurgency, which also had the support of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the US, Turkey, and some European countries.

This appears to be happening again, crucially at a moment Hezbollah is distracted and bogged down in the war with Israel.

Broadly, the Syrian proxy war pit the Shia axis against hardline Sunnis supported by extremists Gulf clerics, who had Western guns. While part of the self-styled 'resistance' axis which includes Hezbollah, Damascus represents one of the last secular and nationalist states in the Middle East (under the Ba'ath party).

The radical group Hayat Tahrir-al-Sham or HTS (an offshoot of Al-Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra) has launched a rapid surprise assault which has resulted in its militants reaching the center of Aleppo city.

Moscow has meanwhile blasted the "attack on Syria’s sovereignty in the region" and urged the Assad government to restore "order there as soon as possible." Russian aircraft have reportedly been helping the Syrian Army do just that. But the insurgents now control key neighborhoods of Aleppo

But what's become clear to many is that the Syrian Army was caught on its backfoot in Aleppo, following years of grueling war and devastating Western sanctions, which has caused a drain on both manpower and resources, also amid runaway inflation.

The HTS jihadists are now threatening other parts of Syria, and may be eyeing the central Syrian city of Hama next. The war appears to have returned to northern and central Syria with a vengeance.

San José St. ousted by Colorado St. in MW volleyball final
[ESPN] Once the ball hit the court for the final Colorado State point, a San José State team that brought energy and togetherness all match scattered after a brief group hug. Coach Todd Kress sat on the bench gazing at his clipboard. Co-captain and setter Brooke Slusser, who is part of two lawsuits about the eligibility of a teammate she says is transgender, walked off the court and into the hallway.

"Our team played their hearts out today, the way they have done all season," Kress said in a statement. "This has been one of the most difficult seasons I've ever experienced and I know this is true as well for many of our players and the staff who have been supporting us all along. Maintaining our focus on the court and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of my players amid the external noise have been my priorities."

Five teams -- including four in the Mountain West -- canceled or forfeited games against the Spartans this season. None of the schools explicitly stated a reason, but players from Nevada -- one of the schools to forfeit -- held a rally Oct. 26 instead of playing their scheduled match against San José State to argue that transgender women should be excluded from women's sports.

The volleyball player has not spoken about her identity, and San José State has not commented on her identity because of federal privacy laws. ESPN is not naming the player.

"Our team prepared and was ready to play each match according to established Mountain West and NCAA rules of play," Kress' statement said. "We did not take away anyone's participation opportunities. Sadly, others who for years have played this same team without incident chose not to play us this season. To be clear, we did not celebrate a single win by forfeiture. Instead, we braced for the fallout. Each forfeiture announcement unleashed appalling, hateful messages individuals chose to send directly to our student-athletes, our coaching staff, and many associated with our program."

SJSU advanced to the conference championship game after Boise State forfeited the semifinal match. The Broncos also forfeited their two regular-season matches against the Spartans.

On Sept. 23, Slusser joined a lawsuit against the NCAA where she said her teammate was transgender and posed a safety threat to her teammates and opponents. Slusser, along with SJSU associate head coach Melissa Batie-Smoose and 10 other current and former Mountain West volleyball players, filed another lawsuit on Nov. 13, challenging the conference's transgender participation policy. The lawsuit also sought an emergency injunction to bar SJSU from competing in the Mountain West tournament with its full roster.

U.S. Magistrate Judge S. Kato Crews ruled Monday that the player was allowed to play, and a federal appeals court upheld the decision the following day.

The first meeting of the season between the Rams and Spartans generated its own controversy. Batie-Smoose alleged in a Title IX complaint and lawsuit that the SJSU player said to be transgender colluded with a CSU player during their Oct. 3 match. The Mountain West investigated those claims and closed its investigation on Nov. 15 after finding insufficient evidence to corroborate her claims.

Batie-Smoose has not been on the bench since the Title IX report became public, but she sat stoically in the stands during Saturday's championship match. She declined an interview request with ESPN.

After the match ended, senior Alessia Buffagni walked into the stands to hug Batie-Smoose. Buffagni was visibly crying as Batie-Smoose looped an arm around Buffagni's shoulders. Other players greeted her as well.

There were two protesters outside Cox Pavilion on Friday, but none Saturday. In addition, there were no noticeable signs of hostility from the some 200 fans who attended the final.

IDF says it killed Oct. 7 terrorist employed by aid group; 4 others said killed as well
[IsraelTimes] Ahed Qadih, who worked for World Central Kitchen, participated in Nir Oz massacre; army doesn’t comment on two other aid workers said to be among the dead

The Israel Defense Forces said on Saturday it had killed a terrorist in Gaza who participated in the October 7 onslaught and who was employed by the World Central Kitchen aid organization.

Palestinian media reported that the drone strike in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis killed five people, including three local aid workers with WCK.

The army did not remark on the other people allegedly killed, but noted that the targeted vehicle was unmarked and its movement was not coordinated for transporting aid.
"Poor choice of company"
According to the IDF, the terrorist, Ahed Qadih, participated in the massacre in Kibbutz Nir Oz, which saw 46 people killed and 71 taken hostage.

“The terrorist was under intelligence surveillance for a long period, and was struck following reliable information about his location in real-time,” the IDF said, adding that “according to current information, it is not possible to link the terrorist to a specific abduction attempt” from the October 7 massacre.

Following the strike, representatives of the Defense Ministry’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) “demanded of senior officials from the international community and the WCK administration to clarify the issue and order an urgent examination regarding the hiring of workers who took part in the October 7 massacre and terrorist attacks against the State of Israel.”

“COGAT is again calling on the international organizations that operate in the Gaza Strip to provide Israeli authorities with details of local employees that are hired by them in the Gaza Strip, to ensure that terrorists are not making use of the humanitarian arena,” the IDF added.

In April, seven WCK aid workers, six of whom were foreigners, were killed in an Israeli strike that led Israel to apologize and fire two officers involved in the incident, saying the strike on the vehicle had been a grave error.

While Qadih marks the first known incident of a terrorist working for WCK, Israel has charged that at least 10 percent of workers for UNRWA, the largest aid organization in Gaza, have ties to terror groups. The organization denies this charge but has confirmed about a dozen cases where it found its employees belonged to Hamas.

Meanwhile in southern Gaza’s Rafah, an IDF drone strike killed a member of a Hamas cell that had set up booby traps, a video published on Saturday by the military showed. The military said the cell had rigged barrels packed with explosives and other explosive devices in the area. The members of the cell were all eliminated, according to the IDF.

The drone strike was directed by troops of the Nahal Brigade, which has been operating in Rafah under the Gaza Division in recent months. Amid their operations, the IDF said the troops found weapons and military equipment during searches near a hospital and mosque in Rafah.

Also Saturday, a siren sounded in the Gaza border town of Kissufim, but the military later said the siren was a false alarm.

REOPENING RAFAH, MEDICATION FOR HOSTAGES
As mediators relaunch efforts to reach a ceasefire and hostage release deal in Gaza in the wake of the Lebanon truce, a Hamas delegation was in Cairo for talks Saturday, and an Egyptian team was reported to visit Israel in recent days, though there was no official confirmation for the latter trip.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the talks included negotiations on reopening the Rafah Border Crossing between Gaza and Egypt, which Egypt shuttered once Israel took control of the border region. Arab negotiators told the Journal that an agreement could lead to the crossing’s reopening by early December.

The report added that under the proposed deal, administrative control of the terminal would be given to the Palestinian Authority, and Israel would be given access to information on those crossing.

The Hezbollah-aligned Al-Akhbar outlet reported Saturday that Israeli and Egyptian officials have also discussed the possibility of the transfer of medications to hostages
held in Gaza. Unnamed sources told the outlet that topics discussed during the Egyptian delegation’s visit to Tel Aviv included “the possibility of bringing in medicine for Israeli prisoners [sic], similar to a previous agreement.”

There was no other confirmation of the report.

The Cairo officials are thought to have presented Israel with a “comprehensive vision” for Gaza. The Al-Akhbar report said talks were also held on the transfer of medications into the Strip for wounded Palestinians.

The International Committee of the Red Cross has not been able to visit any of the hostages held by terrorists in Gaza, despite urgent appeals from their loved ones and diplomatic officials for them to do so.

World Central Kitchen pauses operations in Gaza after IDF kills Oct. 7 terrorist employed by aid group
[IsraelTimes] US charity World Central Kitchen says it is “pausing operations in Gaza at this time” after an Israeli air strike on a terrorist who participated in the October 7 onslaught was found to have been employed by the aid organization.

According to WCK, several people were traveling in the targeted vehicle at the time of the strike.

It says in a statement that it “had no knowledge that any individual in the vehicle had alleged ties to the October 7 Hamas attack,” and does not confirm any deaths.

Save the Children says staff member killed in Israeli strike in Gaza
[IsraelTimes] International aid agency Save the Children says a staff member was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza’s Khan Younis earlier today, the second staffer killed in the enclave since the war began in October 2023.

There is no immediate comment from the IDF.

IDF says soldier killed in fighting in northern Gaza on Friday
[IsraelTimes] An IDF soldier was killed in fighting in the northern Gaza Strip on Friday, the military announced Saturday, bringing the IDF’s death toll in the ground operation in and around the enclave to 382. The slain soldier was named as Staff Sgt. Zamir Burke, 20, a heavy equipment squad commander in the 601st Combat Engineering Battalion, from Beit Shemesh. Another soldier was seriously wounded in the same incident, the IDF said.

Separately in southern Gaza, the military said a soldier with the 401st Armored Brigade’s 46th Battalion was seriously wounded in fighting.

In a separate incident on Saturday, medics and Gaza emergency services said dozens of people were killed or wounded in an Israeli airstrike on a multi-story house in northern Gaza’s Tal Al-Zaatar. The IDF said it was not aware of any attack in the area but was looking into the report. The emergency services added that many casualties were believed to be trapped under the rubble.

Trump nominates Kash Patel to serve as FBI director: 'Advocate for truth'
Sweep the Augean Stables
[FoxNews] President-elect Donald Trump has named longtime ally Kashyap "Kash" Patel, who has been a frequent and harsh critic of the FBI, to serve as the bureau's next director in the new administration.

Patel, 44, is an attorney with experience in national security, intelligence and counterterrorism and helped uncover the bureau's surveillance of the Trump campaign and first term. He has been a member of Trump’s transition team, advising the administration on other appointments.

Trump announced Patel’s appointment in a Truth Social post on Saturday.

"Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and ‘America First’ fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People," Trump's statement read. "He played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution."

The current FBI director, Christopher Wray, is currently serving a 10-year appointment which began in 2017. Wray will either need to be fired or resign in order for Patel to take the position.

Patel is widely seen as a staunch Trump loyalist who will implement Trump’s desired reforms within the agency. During the first Trump administration, he served as senior director for counterterrorism at the National Security Council and later as the chief of staff for acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, from 2020-2021.

Patel has been a fierce critic of bureaucracy and corruption. In 2023, Patel published a book called "Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy," which delved into "the major players and tactics within the permanent government bureaucracy," according to the book's description.

The attorney started his career as a public defender in Florida’s Miami-Dade County after attending the University of Richmond and earning a law degree from Pace University in New York and a certificate in international law from University College London Faculty of Laws.

In 2014, Patel became a federal prosecutor at the Department of Justice National Security Division, a role in which he led prosecutions against members of Al-Qaeda, ISIS and other terror groups.

Patel has served in several roles in the federal government, including most recently as the chief of staff to the Department of Defense and Deputy Assistant to President Trump during Trump's first term. Prior to his Pentagon stint, Patel served as deputy director of National Intelligence and as deputy assistant to the president on the National Security Council.

Before joining the first Trump administration, Patel served as the national security advisor and senior counsel for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), where he reported to Committee Chair Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif. In that role, he helped to oversee the House probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and uncovered unlawful surveillance of the Trump campaign by the FBI and DOJ.

The FBI director position requires Senate confirmation. In an X post on Saturday night, Trump ally Mike Davis called Patel "unquestionably qualified."

Anti-Israel Protesters Disrupt Black Friday Shopping in Boston and Other Cities

[LegalInsurrection] “Protests commenced in several cities around the world on Black Friday as demonstrators gathered to show solidarity with the Palestinians during the start of the holiday shopping season.”

The radical left continues to win friends and influence people.

Anti-Israel protesters decided to make a further nuisance of themselves by using Black Friday to march and yell at people who are just trying to live their lives.

FOX News reports:

Anti-Israel protests pop up on Black Friday during International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

Protests commenced in several cities around the world on Black Friday as demonstrators gathered to show solidarity with the Palestinians during the start of the holiday shopping season.

In Boston, a large crowd of pro-Palestinian protesters were seen inside the Copley Place shopping center calling for an end to the war between Israel and Hamas terrorists. The Boston Police Department told Fox News Digital that no arrests were made and no damage to the mall was reported.

In New York City, protesters filled Manhattan’s streets on Fifth Avenue and Columbus Circle to mark the day.

“We are all Palestinians,” the crowd was heard chanting.

No arrests were made Friday, the New York Police Department said. A day earlier, pro-Palestinian protesters briefly disrupted the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

In Chicago, demonstrators blocked traffic on Michigan Avenue as they called for the Biden administration to end aid to Israel.

Joe Biden got involved in his own, stupid way.

The Daily Wire reported:

Meanwhile, a vacationing President Biden was seen leaving Nantucket Bookworks clutching a copy of “The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonial Conquest and Resistance, 1917-2017.”

The book’s author, Columbia University professor emeritus Rashid Khalidi, responded to the news by telling The New York Post, “I do not speak to the Post (or the Times for that matter), so this is not for publication, but my reaction is that this is 4 years too late.”

As The Post noted, the outlet “did not offer or agree to any terms conditioning that response as off the record or on background.”

Khalidi’s book posits that “the modern history of Palestine can best be understood in these terms: as a colonial war waged against the indigenous population, by a variety of parties, to force them to relinquish their homeland to another people against their will.”
Anybody got that Obama/Rashid Khalidi video?

#9  The Ottomans conquered the Christian Byzantines. The Byzantines, as classical pagan Romans, had conquered the Jews. The Allies conquered the Ottomans, and gave their Hashemite Arab allies kingdoms in Trans-Jordan and Iraq as a reward, but when the brand new Hashemite king of Trans-Jordan refused to ratify the Versailles Treaty because it gave France mandatory responsibilities over Syria (including Lebanon) that he had expected to get, Britain withdrew their support for continued Hashemite rule of Mecca; within half a year the House of Saud had conquered it, and was recognized as the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Iraqi grandson, Faisal II, was executed in a coup in 1958.

The League of Nations gave Britain mandatory authority over Cis-Jordan, a.k.a. the Ottoman province of Palestine, to be held in trust for the Jews until they were ready for self-rule as part of the same document establishing the Hashemite kingdom of Trans-Jordan. The mandate required that Britain prepare the Jews for self-rule exactly as the Arabs of Syria and Lebanon were to be prepared by France for self-rule, fulfilling the British promise to the Jews for a national homeland there as made in the Balfour Declaration. A commitment for parallel Arab independent self-rule was repeatedly rejected by the Arabs, and when the Jews declared their independence in 1948, Trans-Jordan conquered the West Bank region (Cis-Jordan) and Egypt conquered the Gaza Strip. Israel incidentally freed both territories from foreign rule in the process of driving out the invading Arab armies during the Six Day War in 1967. The subsequent hope to prepare the local Arabs for self-rule has been continually disappointed, as they far prefer plotting against and murdering Jews to actually doing the work necessary to function as a self-governing nation.

Britain
Leaflets in London: ‘Every Zionist Needs to Leave Britain or Be Slaughtered’
[PJMedia] GB News reported Wednesday that "leaflets with the writing ’every Zionist needs to leave Britannia or be slaughtered’ were found spread around the streets of Hendon, a predominantly Jewish neighbourhood in north London." The message itself was bad enough, but the fact that it has gotten so little attention was a disquieting indication of how much antisemitism has already become normalized amidst the left’s relentless propaganda campaign to isolate and demonize Israel after the Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
massacre of 1,200 Israelis on Oct. 7, 2023.

If any other group had been targeted with the threat to leave any country or face mass slaughter, the headlines would have been international and insistent. But this? Hatred of Jews, not just of Zionists, has become a dispiritingly common feature of the contemporary landscape.

GB News noted also that "the threatening message was written in Hebrew," just in case any of its targets might not have understood it in English, and that as if that weren’t enough, the leaflet added, this time in English, "Zionist Free Zone." It also said: "Ha, made you pick up litter you zianazi [sic] freak." Clever!
Sounds like ACA JOE is on vacation
This could have been the handiwork either of leftist ideologues who are determined to destroy the Jewish state because, in its irreducible particularity, it interferes with their collectivist, internationalist vision. It could also have been the work of Moslems, who make up a considerable and growing population in London, and many of whom believe, in accord with the Qur’an, that the Jews are the worst enemies of the Moslems (5:82) and that Moslems have a divine responsibility to drive them out of land that was once ruled by Moslems and therefore must be ruled by Islamic law forever (2:191).

Isaaz Zarfati, the Executive Director of Stand With Us UK, took note of the prevailing winds and said: "We are witnessing a troubling trend of red lines being repeatedly crossed. This is not just another wave that will pass if we remain passive." Indeed. "We must take those threats and statements seriously," Zarfati added, "because they will one day turn into actions, and decisive steps are needed to combat this alarming phenomenon."

That’s right. If the government of London Mayor Sadiq Khan doesn’t take decisive action, and identify and prosecute those who are behind these threats, the perpetrators will only be encouraged and will continue and escalate their activities. This is clear from the fact that just last month, right before the beginning of Yom Kippur, the Hendon Golf Club, which is in the same neighborhood where the mass murder threats were found, was likewise targeted. "Raked into bunkers on the golf course" were National Socialist symbols and messages including "F*** the Jews" and "Heil Hitler
...late Fuehrer of Germany, founder of the Third Reich, currently communing with his pals Himmler and Heydrich. He is reincarnated every few days, sometimes every few hour if it's an election year, as a politician somebody doesn't like...
At that time, Khan stated: "I’m sickened by the rise in antisemitism in our city. Hate crime is a criminal offence and has no place in London. I’ll continue to work with the police and community representatives to tackle antisemitism and support those affected by such abhorrent abuse." Those were the right words to say, but actually, little was done. Khan also has a long history of coddling jihadis, going back to the days when he acted as their defense attorney, and demonstrating a notable lack of sympathy for Israel as it defends itself from the jihadi onslaught.

On Oct. 13, 2023, just six days after Hamas jihadis murdered 1,200 Israelis, Khan said: "I’ve spoken to Londoners who lost family members in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
and Londoners who’ve lost family as a consequence of the Hamas terrorist attack last weekend, so we’re feeling the pain here." Political analyst Hugh Fitzgerald noted that "Khan refers first to the Paleostinians who died in Gaza (the family members ’lost’ by Londoners), and only after that, in a tortuous locution, he refers to ’Londoners who’ve lost family as a consequence of the Hamas terrorist attack last weekend.’ No. Say it straight, Sadiq: ’Londoners whose family members were murdered by Hamas.’" But he never did.

And so the Evening Standard reported in March 2024 that "growing numbers of Jewish families are considering leaving London — fleeing, really — in the face of this rising tide of hostility and hatred. Some have already departed. If you are shocked, you’ve not been paying attention. A report last month by the Community Security Trust found there were 4,103 incidents of anti-Jewish hate in the UK last year, a 147 percent rise on 2022. The peak occurred in the week after October 7, suggesting that for many it was a celebration of the Hamas massacre."

Eight months later, there are open threats in Sadiq Khan’s London to slaughter Jews. Will he act now?

A prominent Jewish philanthropist announced she was immediately resigning from all voluntary positions within British art institutionsin protest over antisemitism and the "normalization of hate" following campaigns against her art fund over its links to Israel, art journals reported Friday.

Candida Gertler, co-founder of the Outset Contemporary Art Fund, announced the move after Goldsmiths’ Centre for Contemporary Art at the University of London said Monday that it would remove her and her husband’s names from one of its galleries and its donor board, ending a months-long boycott by pro-Paleostinian, anti-Israel activists.

Gertler said her her decision "comes not out of fear, weakness, or defeat, but as an act of principled protest against the alarming rise of antisemitism."

"The failure to confront such hate compromises the very essence of what art stands for — a medium for empathy, exploration and shared humanity," she said, adding that "this is not a goodbye to art but a reimagining of how it can be a force for true societal change."

Outset, which Gertler co-founded in 2003, has raised over 16 million pounds ($20.3 million) for the arts, earning her royal recognition, according to the Art Review. The fund also contributes to Israeli art institutions, and Gertler is a committee member of the British Friends of Art Museums in Israel.

Gertler is married to billionaire German-British real estate developer Zak Gertler, who hosted Benjamin Netanyahu’s 70th birthday party in 2019 and has donated handsomely to the prime minister’s political campaigns, according to Hebrew media.

The Gertlers’ ties to Netanyahu, and Outset’s support for Israeli museums that offer "art programs for Israeli soldiers," are cited by the Strike Outset campaign, which calls for a boycott on the fund.

The campaign, launched in March, figured this week in a letter signed by over 1,000 people from the art world demanding the premier British museum Tate cut its ties with Outset.

They also targeted another Jewish-linked trust, the Zabludowicz Art Trust.

The missive accused both funds of being "deeply complicit in the Israeli regime" and "the artwashing of genocide and apartheid."

Poju Zabludowicz, who founded the Art Trust with his wife Anita, is the founder of Britannia Israel Communications and Research Centre (BICOM) and is a donor to several Jewish and Israeli causes. Part of his family’s fortune can be traced back to his father Shlomo’s involvement in Israeli defense contractor Soltam.

According to the Art Newspaper, Poju and Anita Zabludowicz declined to comment on the letter urging their boycott, and instead reiterated a 2023 statement saying they were "deeply saddened and troubled by the horrific war that is unfolding in Israel and Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
." The statement added that they "strongly support a two-state solution and peaceful existence that guarantees the rights of Israelis and Paleostinians to live and work side by side, in cooperation with the wider Middle East."

Art institutions the world over have faced increased calls for boycotts against Israel amid the war in Gaza, sparked when thousands of Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
-led bandidos murderous Moslems stormed southern Israel to kill some 1,200 people and take 251 hostages.

Armenia Withdraws Humanitarian Mission from Syria
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The Armenian authorities have withdrawn a group of humanitarian demining specialists and medical workers from Syria in connection with the intensification of hostilities in the Arab Republic.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", on February 8, 2019, a contingent of 83 Armenians arrived in Syria on a humanitarian mission.

Armenian humanitarian demining specialists and medical workers who carried out a mission in the Aleppo region of Syria have been returned home, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

According to the military department, this decision was made in connection with the sharp deterioration of the operational situation and the beginning of active military operations in a number of areas of Syria.

Under the current circumstances, the normal functioning of the group became impossible, the ministry explained. "Accordingly, a decision was made to temporarily suspend the group's activities in Aleppo," the message, translated by a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, explains.

The specialists returned to Armenia on the evening of November 29.

According to the Syrian authorities, on the morning of November 27, the extremist group Jabhat al-Nusra carried out a large-scale attack in the north of the country, attempting to attack populated areas and military facilities; positions of government forces were attacked. Syria is doing its utmost to repel attacks by armed groups, TASS reported today.

Israeli Navy intercepts drone apparently launched from Iraq
[IsraelTimes] An Israeli Navy missile boat intercepted a drone in the Mediterranean Sea a short while ago, the military says.

According to the IDF, the drone was heading toward Israel and had been launched from “the east,” usually code for attacks from Iraq.

No sirens were activated according to protocol, the military adds.

Overnight, another suspected drone heading toward Israel from Iraq was shot down by the Israeli Air Force.

IDF says jets hit Syrian military site being used by Hezbollah to smuggle arms
[IsraelTimes] Army says Hezbollah continues to try bring weapons into Lebanon via civilian border crossings, vows to punish any truce violations; drone said to fire at car heading toward troops

Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck Syrian military infrastructure near border crossings between Syria and Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
on Saturday, which the IDF says were being "actively" used by Hezbollah to transfer weapons, testing the fragile, days-old ceasefire.

"This strike was carried out following the identification of the transfer of weapons to Hezbollah from Syria to Lebanon, even after the ceasefire agreement, and constitutes a threat to the State of Israel, in violation of the terms of the ceasefire agreement," the military said in a statement.

Syria’s Sham FM radio reported that the strikes targeted the al-Qusayr area. No further details were given and the IDF did not specify what kind of military installation was hit.

There was no immediate comment from Syrian authorities or activists monitoring the conflict in that country. Hezbollah also did not immediately comment.

The IDF also accused Hezbollah, with the support of the Syrian regime, of using civilian border crossings to continue trying to bring weapons into Lebanon. Israel has vowed to prevent all weapon transfers to Hezbollah amid the ceasefire.

"The IDF will continue to act to remove any threat to the State of Israel that violates the terms of the ceasefire agreement," the military added.

The Israeli strike inside Syria came as unrest spread across that country, with Syrian gunnies breaching the country’s largest city, Aleppo, in a shock offensive that added fresh uncertainty to a region reeling from multiple wars.

The repeated bursts of violence — with no reports of serious casualties — reflected the uneasy nature of the ceasefire that otherwise appeared to hold. While Israel has accused Hezbollah of violating the ceasefire, Lebanon has also accused Israel of the same in the days since it took effect.

Also Saturday, the IDF said it located a cache of weapons belonging to Hezbollah hidden inside a mosque during scans in southern Lebanon in the past day.

Troops also worked to disperse suspects who approached a no-go zone in southern Lebanon, the IDF said without giving details.

Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone attacked a car in the southern village of Majdal Zoun. Majdal Zoun, near the Mediterranean Sea, is close to where Israeli troops still have a presence.

Lebanon’s health ministry said the strike maimed three people, including a child.

Lebanese media also reported an Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
on the outskirts of the southern Lebanon village of Baisariyeh, south of Sidon.

There was no immediate comment from the IDF.

Many Lebanese, some of the 1.2 million displaced in the conflict, were streaming south to their homes, despite warnings by the Israeli and Lebanese militaries to stay away from certain areas.

The truce between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah, brokered by the United States and La Belle France, calls for an initial two-month ceasefire in which the terror group is to withdraw north of Lebanon’s Litani River and Israeli forces are to return to their side of the border.

The US military’s CENTCOM announced late Friday that Major General Jasper Jeffers, Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT), would oversee the implementation and monitoring mechanism of the Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire, alongside his co-chair, US Mideast envoy Amos Hochstein, who will fill the role until a permanent civilian US official is named.

Jeffers arrived in Beirut in recent days to oversee the implementation, the announcement said, adding that the oversight mechanism will be led by the US and include the Lebanese and Israeli militaries, UN observers and La Belle France.

Israel says it reserves the right under the ceasefire to strike against any perceived violations.

As truce takes effect, displaced Lebanese come home to find piles of rubble

[IsraelTimes] World Bank estimates $3.2 billion in damages as some 100,000 housing units damaged in Israel’s offensive; ‘All the memories are gone’
Next time, guys, don’t take payment from Hezbollah to let them store munitions in your attic or spare bedroom, and Israel — which knows all — won’t feel a need to grow secondaries.
Nearly 1.2 million Lebanese have been displaced over the past two months as Israel stepped up its bombing campaign in a bid to stem Hezbollah’s persistent, year-long rocket fire, which has prevented some 60,000 residents of northern Israel from returning home.

The Israeli strikes leveled entire buildings in eastern and southern Lebanon, and in the southern suburbs of Beirut, which are predominantly Shiite areas where the Iran-backed terror group enjoys solid support.

Israel said it targeted buildings used by Hezbollah. In southern Lebanon many of the homes were used to store weapons or linked to a tunnel network.

Who will pay for the reconstruction is unclear. Iran has offered to help, but it’s under Western sanctions and its economy has suffered. Kourani said Hezbollah members have told her those who lost a house during the war will be given a place to stay until their homes are rebuilt.

Economy
With the Dollar Strengthening, and With Easily Predictable Economic Outcomes Looming, President Trump Targets BRICS
[ConservativeTreehouse] The latest announcement by President Trump via Truth Social [SEE HERE] should not come as a surprise to anyone here.

As the economic impact of MAGAnomics starts to sink-in to the global psyche, once again it is predictable that China and the EU will use their central banking system in a defensive posture against President Trump’s economic, trade and tariff policies. As a direct result, the value of the dollar increases, and as we noted before, “Exports from the USA ultimately cost more because the dollar is stronger against EU and Asia currencies. However, a stronger dollar is an offset to BRICS leverage and allows Trump to play economic chess.”

That’s the background for this:
Donald Trump’s statement on Truth Social can be seen here.
President Trump knows how to leverage U.S. market access as part of the economic security program for the entire country. President Trump is the only person who can do this. If a nation wants to align with an alternative trade currency, President Trump will tariff their products at 100%, and/or shut them out of the USA market completely.

MAGAnomics Simplified: Everyone who is a pragmatic critical thinker knows that China will (a) subsidize their targeted industries; then (b) devalue their currency to lower the impact of exports to the USA. Beijing controls the banks, and they did this before. As a result, the dollar value increases and imports cost less.

The Chinese imports then enter the USA at a lower price consistent with their cost estimate as a tariff offset. China takes in a lower price but retains access. That’s just how it works. The importers pay the tariff with a lowered price and a higher valued dollar. Essentially statis for the time being.

Then…..

The guests were show business stars in revealing outfits, which caused a negative reaction from society. Among the participants of the event were Philipp Kirkorov, Lolita, Ksenia Sobchak.

The party also featured rapper Vacio (real name Nikolai Vasiliev ), who was wearing only a sock.
Let me guess...
On December 27, the Lefortovo Court of Moscow recognized the "naked" party as propaganda of LGBT relations. The work of the "Mutabor" club was suspended.

"For over 32 years, Sheriff Chad Chronister has served the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and received countless commendations and awards for keeping his community SAFE," Trump wrote in his announcement moments before he nominated Kash Patel to replace Christopher Wray as FBI director.

"A proud graduate of the FBI National Academy's 260th Session, Chad is Co-Chairman of the Regional Domestic Security Task Force for Region IV Tampa Bay, Council Member of the Florida Attorney General’s Statewide Council on Human Trafficking, Chairman of the Criminal Justice Sub-Committee, Vice-Chairman of the Hillsborough County Public Safety Coordinating Council, and Vice-Chairman of the Hillsborough County Public Schools Citizen Oversight Committee," he continued.

Trump said Chronister would work with Pam Bondi, his nominee for attorney general after Rep. Matt Gaetz withdrew as nominee, to "secure the Border, stop the flow of Fentanyl, and other Illegal Drugs, across the Southern Border, and SAVE LIVES."

UN envoy Albanese says Israel had no right to wage a war in Gaza after Oct. 7
The hour-plus long video of the discussion can be seen at the link.
[IsraelTimes] Speaking with Piers Morgan, special rapporteur calls ICC arrest warrant for PM and former defense chief ‘too narrow,’ urges Israel to hand Netanyahu and Gallant over to global court

Reluctantly acknowledging that Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
’s October 7, 2023, massacre of 1,200 in southern Israel and hostage-taking of 251 to Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
"could qualify" as terrorism, the UN’s Special Rapporteur on the Paleostinian Territories La Belle Francesca Albanese nonetheless told British television personality Piers Morgan that the nature of Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza following the terrorist group’s rampage was illegal.

Interviewed on Tuesday by Morgan for his Uncensored YouTube program, Albanese said that, on "the day Israel was attacked, it had all the rights to defend itself, to protect its citizens in its territory and therefore to repel the attack with all necessary and proportional measures — which means using force, including lethal force, arresting, detaining all persons involved and found on its territory — which happened on the 7th, 8th and 9th of October."

However,
some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves...
she went on, "Israel didn’t have the right to wage a war against the Paleostinians in Gaza."

When it was put to her by Morgan that "absolutely" Israel had the right to go after the 3,000 Death Eaters who had poured over its border and massacred its people, and had taken the hostages to Gaza, and that "it doesn’t stop at the border," she replied that Morgan should be "very careful because... this ’eye for an eye’ logic would justify what had happened on October 7."

"The fact that we call it terrorism doesn’t justify what Israel has done since," said Albanese, arguing that "waging a war" was "not proportionate."

Albanese told Morgan that she believed the International Criminal Court’s case against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant was too narrow, and should address Israel’s entire offensive beyond its borders.

Albanese has a history of antisemitic, anti-Israel and pro-Hamas statements.

On October 11, 2023, four days after the attack, Albanese said she doubted reports of rape and sexual violence. Rather, she said the US and Israel were spreading these claims to escalate tensions.

In February, Israel’s foreign and interior ministries announced that Albanese is not allowed into Israel following a tweet to French President Emanuel Macron in which she stated, "The victims of 7/10 were not killed because of their Judaism, but in response to Israel’s oppression."

She recently told a Harvard University gathering that when Hamas refers to killing Jews ("Yahudi"), it does not actually mean Jews.

In the Tuesday interview, addressing the recently issued arrest warrants by the ICC, she called on Israeli authorities to hand over Netanyahu and Gallant.

"If they had nothing to fear they would stand justice. They would just defend themselves in front of the International Criminal Court. What do they have to fear if they did nothing wrong?" she said in the interview, which was followed by a panel of four Jewish personalities who discussed the issues she touched on.

After Hamas’s shock October 7 attack, which was accompanied by brutal assaults including sexual violence, Israel began carrying out Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on the terrorist organization and launched a ground invasion later the same month with the objectives of dismantling the terror group, which rules Gaza, and retrieving the hostages.

Arguing for Israel in a subsequent panel debate hosted by Morgan were American lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and former IDF spokesperson Jonathan Conricus.

On the anti-Israel side were British journalist and author Matt Kennard and Katie Halper, host of the podcast A Jew For Ceasefire Now.
Ugh.
Albanese called the ICC warrants "necessary" and "long due" and said they were "very meaningful."

"The evidence is overwhelming that starvation has been used as a tool of war and it cannot be justified by any possible circumstance," Albanese told Morgan.

Dershowitz said the arrest warrants, while they would stop Netanyahu from traveling to other countries to "make the case for Israel," were detrimental to the ICC as well because they improperly issued. The court’s top prosecutor, Karim Khan, he said, "was supposed to go to Israel to look at both sides of the issue but after he was accused of sexual harassment, he canceled that trip because he wanted to issue the arrest warrants very quickly."

Conricus echoed the sentiment, calling Khan "suspicious and controversial" and saying the process had been "totally flawed."

"All the information has been based on false or incomplete information. I think there is proof verified by non-Israeli sources that contradicts all the allegations," he said, although he did not name any specific sources.

Morgan argued that the IDF’s refusal to allow foreign journalists into Gaza to report on what was happening in the Strip prevented such evidence from coming to light and raised suspicion against Israel.

While all four panelists agreed that foreign journalists should be allowed into Gaza, Kennard — who called Israel a "rogue terrorist regime" but refused to apply the epithet to Hamas or label its October 7 attack as terrorism — accused Israel of deliberately targeting Paleostinian media officials to stop them from reporting on its alleged crimes against humanity, a claim that Israel categorically denies.

Meanwhile,
...back at the cheese factory, there was only one thought in the mouse's mind: I can do this! I can do this! Then the trap sprung...
Conricus said the real obstacle to reliable reporting from within Gaza was Hamas, which he accused of controlling Paleostinian media in the enclave.

"I’ve seen it happen in real-time. Instead of doing their job of reporting on Hamas’s war crimes, it’s been documented but not reported because Hamas won’t let them and it’s been stifling them," he said.

Last month, Israel published documents that it said provided evidence that journalists killed by the IDF were active members of Hamas or the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
, an allegation it has made repeatedly over the last 13 months of the war.

Many of the specific journalists named were employees of Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
-based al-Jazeera, which Israel’s government took off the air and blocked in April.

In June, a court found a direct and causal connection between individuals who have carried out terror attacks inside Israel and the consumption of Al Jazeera content. It also determined that there was a "close connection" between Al Jazeera and Hamas, that some Al Jazeera news hounds in Gaza had turned themselves into "assistants and partners" with Hamas, and that some of them had even carried out terror attacks.

Meanwhile,
...back at the cheese factory, there was only one thought in the mouse's mind: I can do this! I can do this! Then the trap sprung...
addressing comments she made last month urging the UN to consider suspending Israel as a member state, Albanese accused Israel of violating international law and insulting UN officials and organizations more than any other country in the world.

Among Israel’s alleged crimes was killing 240 UN staff members and firing at UN peacekeepers in Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, Albanese said.

Israel has alleged that more than 10 percent of the staff of the UN agency for Paleostinian refugees, UNRWA, in Gaza have ties to terrorist factions and that educational facilities under the organization’s auspices consistently incite hatred of Israel and glorify terror.

In February, the IDF revealed the existence of a subterranean Hamas data center directly beneath UNRWA’s Gaza Strip headquarters. The IDF has also repeatedly targeted Hamas command centers and button men hiding out in UNRWA schools.

Israel has been accused of genocide numerous times, most notably in an ongoing case brought by South Africa at the International Court of Justice. The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says more than 42,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the fighting so far, though the toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel says it has killed some 18,000 combatants in battle and another 1,000 Death Eaters inside Israel on October 7.

Israel has said it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stresses that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas including homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques.

During the interview, Albanese said that Israeli settlements in the West Bank, which she called colonies, were also war crimes, declaring that "Israel needs to withdraw the occupation because it has given the chance for violence to fester."

She also criticized outgoing US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Too old and senile to be prosecuted, not too old and senile to set national policy...
’s administration, saying the US had supplied Israel with more military, economic, financial, and political aid in the last 14 months than it ever has.

"I understand, as a European, why Jewish people have such a deep connection to Israel, but what I do question is third state responsibility. How member states act vis-a-vis a state this is committing genocide which it has been committing for 50 years and unlawful occupation and unlawful apartheid," she said.

Albanese concluded that she hoped incoming US president Trump would "step away from this precipice and do the right thing."

Dershowitz was bullish on Trump’s reelection, saying he would be "tough on Iran" — the backer of terror groups including Hamas and Lebanon’s Hezbollah — which would likely lead to peace.

"If Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
is disarmed we will see real peace in the region," he said.

Kennard, however, called Trump a "disaster for the Paleostinian cause" because he "has Israel’s interests at heart."

Southeast Asia
National Security Council warns of planned attacks on Israelis and Jews in Thailand
[IsraelTimes] The National Security Council warns that the “terrorist infrastructure” that murdered Rabbi Zvi Kogan in the UAE last week is planning additional attacks on Israelis and Jews in Southeast Asia, especially Thailand.

Thailand is a popular tourist destination for Israelis.

The NSC recommends that Israelis in Southeast Asia avoid going to places identified with Israel and/or Jews; maintain increased vigilance in public places; refrain from displaying Israeli symbols; contact local authorities in case of a threat or violence; avoid posting details of the trip on social media, and lock social media profiles; and avoid sharing details about service in the IDF or other security services online or in conversation.

“Israeli security officials continue to work with all relevant partners in order to remove the threat,” the NSC says.

IDF says it struck rocket launch site inside designated safe zone in central Gaza
[IsraelTimes] A rocket launching site within the Israeli-designated humanitarian zone in the Gaza Strip was struck by the Israeli Air Force earlier today, the military says.

According to the IDF, the site in central Gaza’s Deir al-Balah had armed launchers, primed for an attack on southern Israel.

A video released by the IDF shows a rocket flying out of the site following the drone strike.

To mitigate civilian harm, the IDF says it used precision munition, aerial surveillance, and other intelligence.

“The terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip systematically violate international law, cynically exploiting the humanitarian zone and the population as a human shield for terror activity,” the military says in a statement.

Iraqi airstrike kills five suspected ISIS militants in Kirkuk
[Rudaw] At least five suspected Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) snuffies were killed in an Iraqi Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
on the Hamrin Mountains in Kirkuk province, the army announced on Saturday.

"After the heroic Air Falcons carried out precise airstrikes using F-16 aircraft... a joint force at dawn on Saturday began searching the site of the airstrikes, finding the bodies of five terrorists," the army’s Joint Operations Command said in a statement.

"Weapons, ammunition, explosives, logistical materials, and communication devices" were also found at the site, the statement added.

The strike in territories disputed between the federal Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is the latest in an ongoing effort by Baghdad to rid the country of ISIS cells in areas where a security vacuum allows them to operate.

In its latest report on anti-ISIS operations, the Pentagon said that ISIS is a bigger threat in Syria than it is in Iraq.

In Iraq, "ISIS displayed limited capabilities, conducting the lowest number of attacks observed since the onset of the Sunni insurgency in Iraq in 2003. The group also showed no significant improvement in attack sophistication," said the report from October 29.

The pace of the offensive was so high largely due to the Kursk adventure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Kurakhovsky salient will be eliminated quite soon.

Radicals in Syria continue military seizures of territories
[Regnum] Radicals in Syria reported progress in the Idlib province adjacent to Aleppo. The Al-Fatah al-Mubin command confirmed that rebels, including the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, captured 25 settlements in the southern and eastern parts of Idlib, covering a total area of approximately 388 square kilometers. Details were reported by Reuters.

It is noted that the militants have also captured the large city of Maarat al-Numan. This means that they have effectively taken control of the entire Idlib province.

Militants also took control of the Abu al-Duhur military airfield in eastern Idlib after fierce clashes with government forces. The airbase is considered a stronghold of Syrian government forces. Military equipment and weapons depots were also seized.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham militants captured 40% of western Aleppo on November 30. Later, a "cautious calm" set in on the outskirts of Aleppo. This happened after the militants entered the western quarters of the city and Syrian warplanes struck them.

No Russian citizens were harmed during the intensification of armed conflict between Syrian government forces and rebel fighters, the Russian Embassy in Syria assured.

Iranian military adviser killed in Syria
The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Lieutenant General Hossein Salami, confirmed the death of the head of the Iranian military advisers corps in Syria, Major General Kiyumars Pourhashemi, as a result of a terrorist attack in the north of the Arab Republic.
"He was happily martyred, although he disagreed until he succumbed to happiness"
Salami said the Zionist regime "suffered a strategic defeat in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon and failed to achieve its evil goal."

"Takfiri terrorists, under the control and leadership of those who suffered defeat in Gaza and South Lebanon, carried out brutal attacks on Syria. The country's army and militia gave them a worthy rebuff. One of the crimes of the Zionist terrorists was the murder of Major General Pourhashemi," the IRGC press service quotes the commander as saying.

Hossein Salami blamed Israel for the rise in militant activity.

Purhashemi is believed to have died in Aleppo.
and in the outskirts. And parts of him on the way to Damascus...it was a drawn-out affair
As reported by the Regnum news agency, radicals in Syria reported progress in the Idlib province, adjacent to Aleppo. The Al-Fatah al-Mubin command confirmed that the rebels, including the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation), captured 25 settlements in the southern and eastern parts of Idlib, with a total area of approximately 388 square kilometers. The militants took control of the entire Idlib province.

Russian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Discuss Situation in Syria
Russian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Hakan Fidan and Sergey Lavrov discussed the situation in Syria during a telephone conversation on November 30. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“Both sides expressed serious concern about the dangerous development of the situation in the Syrian Arab Republic in connection with the military escalation in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib,” the department’s Telegram channel said.

It is noted that the parties agreed on the need to intensify joint efforts to stabilize the situation in Syria, as well as urgently and comprehensively consider this issue in the Astana format.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on November 27, terrorist groups operating in Syria launched a large-scale offensive. On November 29, the Al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that the government army of the republic was conducting a counteroffensive in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib, and had recaptured a number of captured positions from the militants, including the city of Al-Bakum.

The Turkish publication Anadolu reported on the evening of November 29 that militants had broken through to some areas of the city of Aleppo and were trying to take control of it, including capturing a research center. The Syrian army had sent reinforcements there to repel terrorist attacks.

Deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria, Captain 1st Rank Oleg Ignasyuk, reported on the night of November 30 that the Russian Aerospace Forces had destroyed at least 200 militants in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib in 24 hours. Britain
'The Poor English Donkey': How a Descendant of the Iroquois Saved the British Empire
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Oleg Shevchenko

[REGNUM] These days the world celebrates two anniversaries. One is not a round one, but it is important – 81 years since the meeting of Joseph Stalin, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Winston Churchill in Tehran. The other is a “round” anniversary, which concerns primarily the United Kingdom and the former British Empire – 150 years of Churchill.

In fact, the banquet on the occasion of the British Prime Minister's birthday was one of the "highlights of the program" of Tehran-1943. As Stalin's translator Valentin Berezhkov recalled, a luxurious banquet was held at the British embassy. On the main table towered a huge birthday cake with 69 lit candles. The hero of the occasion smiled and cheerfully smoked a cigar. Stalin pleased the "almost hero of the day" more than anyone else by presenting a case of Armenian cognac (in addition to a karakul papakha
…one of those curly Persian lamb hats they wear in the Caucasus…
and a statuette based on a Russian fairy tale).

Perhaps, at that moment, this hall combined what the Prime Minister of the British Empire liked most of all: hearty food, good cigars, quality alcohol and the feeling of being one of the main creators of world history, deciding – here in Tehran – the fate of Poland, the Balkans and the not yet defeated Third Reich.

"It was as if one big family had gathered in this hall, which would always be together. But this feeling did not last long," Berezhkov writes. Happy birthday was overshadowed by a very alarming bell.

Although it seemed to be just General Alan Francis Brooke, Chief of the Imperial General Staff, tapping his glass with his knife to make another toast. The general was saying that Britain, fighting since 1939, had made more sacrifices and suffered more losses than the other allies, and therefore had done more to bring about victory. The toast clearly did not please either Roosevelt or, especially, Stalin. So two alaverdi
…toasts?
followed immediately.

Stalin reminded that the USA, "the country of machines", could produce 8-10 thousand planes per month (and England - only 3 thousand, added "Uncle Joe") - and raised a toast to Lend-Lease, first of all the American one. Roosevelt immediately took up the initiative, adding that he valued Soviet military might and our military successes: "While we are here celebrating the birthday of the British Prime Minister, the Red Army continues to push back the Nazi hordes!"

The birthday boy, unlike the head of his General Staff, a cautious and wise man, thought it best to remain silent. But a small incident clearly revealed to him a picture of the post-war future: the world would be determined by the United States and "Soviet Russia" (as the Prime Minister usually called the Soviet Union). At the same time, the role of the empire "on which the sun never sets", for the exaltation of which he did everything possible, would steadily diminish. And under this sign, the last years of Churchill's premiership would pass, and in general - all of British history from 1945 to this day.

"In Tehran I first realized what a small country we are. I was sitting between a huge Russian bear, with his paws spread wide, and a huge American bison, and between them was a poor little English donkey."

However, the British Prime Minister, when necessary, could appear to be a modest “junior partner” and, in general, appear to be someone other than what he really was.

DUKE, JOHN BULL, A REAL INDIAN
Journalists and even historians sometimes call him the Duke of Marlborough. But he did not bear this title (his father, the third son of a duke, was not entitled to such regalia). Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was not an earl, a duke, a viscount, or a baron. He received the prefix "sir" along with his knighthood towards the end of his life.

He is considered fat, stout (perhaps not without Churchill himself, who emphasized the eccentric caricature of his appearance - no worse than Boris Johnson ), but all his life he was a strong, fit and impetuous gentleman. It is impossible to imagine him without a cigar, but this was a well-rehearsed image, he smoked very little.

He rarely refused a good glass of cognac, whiskey or champagne, which for some reason did not prevent him from living actively and soberly to the age of 90. He was “simply” Winston Churchill, or, as the British often call him, “Old Weenie.” In the public consciousness, Churchill is the very embodiment of “John Bull,” a plump, red-faced Londoner who frequents the pub. But in fact, he is half American. His mother was born Jennie Jerome in New York, but – let us note, from the American analogues of the aristocracy – the daughter of a financier and stock speculator.

For those who were looking for roots from the former "rebellious colony", the Prime Minister had a family legend of the Jeromes (not necessarily reliable) about the blood of the Iroquois Indians flowing in their blood. So the same Boris Johnson, a descendant of King George II, who loves to flaunt his Turkish roots, is by no means the first eccentric gentleman in the Prime Minister's chair.
Equal in eccentricity, perhaps, but Sir Winston was infinitely better as a prime minister.
PROFESSION: MILITARY CORRESPONDENT
The real Winston Churchill, not the one hiding behind masks, probably had one true passion. To make a name for himself. And he found unconventional ways to do so. Having received a meager and fragmentary liberal arts education at school, never having attended college or university (despite their connections and pedigree, the Churchills were extremely poor – for their circle, of course), young Winston was forced to make his own career. To do this, he chose two spheres on which the 20th century would “stand”: war and mass media.

He participated as an officer in all the military conflicts he could get his hands on – fortunately, the size of the empire provided a wide choice of colonial campaigns – from suppressing the Pashtun uprising on the borders of British India to the war with the Mahdists in Anglo-Egyptian Sudan.

The Daily Telegraph publishes the notes of the cavalryman Churchill. "I broke into a trot and galloped towards the enemy, shooting them in the face with a pistol, and killed several - three for sure, two unlikely, and one more - very doubtfully," the officer of Her Majesty's 4th Hussars informed readers. And when, during the Anglo-Boer War, the already retired officer and now military correspondent Churchill was captured by the Transvaal militia - and escaped, this became the reason for the book.

And a good springboard for a political career, where Churchill immediately showed a flair for the situation.

MASTER OF THE ART OF THE POSSIBLE
The defeated Boers are actively integrated into the British South African Dominion. And now the war hero, the young Conservative MP Churchill, delivers a speech calling for mercy for the vanquished and launches the first of his media "memes": "If I were a Boer, I hope I would fight on the battlefield."

The Tory cabinet's policy begins to sag, and Churchill promptly goes into opposition, to the Liberals. And when the Conservatives lose, the promising parliamentarian is taken into the Liberal cabinet. As Deputy Minister for Colonial Affairs, Churchill writes a constitution for the same South Africa. And when a friend, David Lloyd George, takes the prime minister's chair, his career takes off. Churchill is the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the First Lord of the Admiralty.

But in 1915, after the stunning failure of the Dardanelles operation, he was made a scapegoat. And the once brilliant politician, effectively the third person in the state… decides to join the army. He had to go to the front as an ordinary infantry officer. The army command promoted him to lieutenant colonel, since before the start of his political career, Churchill had already served as an army officer in India and Africa, and provided him with the post of battalion commander. Churchill even agrees to this. And in 1917, he returns the portfolio to the War Ministry.

And again he managed to catch the trend. When necessary, he advocated the Ten Year Rule - a doctrine according to which the military budget would be built on the assumption that Britain would not be drawn into conflicts for 10 years after the end of the world war. And when it was politically advantageous - he turned out to be almost the main hawk, more than others demanding intervention in Russia during our Civil War.

“The Bolshevik tyranny is the worst… far worse than German militarism,” Churchill insisted. The switch to the right was prudent – after all, he intended to switch from the Liberals back to the Tories (which he did). But when, by the late 1930s, it became clear that a showdown was coming between the Soviet Union and a new edition of German militarism in the form of the Third Reich, Churchill again acted wisely. He became the most vocal critic of the policy of appeasement of Hitler – and thereby prepared the basis for Britain’s future alliance with the USSR.

And it was he, Churchill, who came up with the idea in 1945 to strike an atomic blow at the exhausted Soviet Union, his ally, and to move tank divisions against the Soviet armies. Moreover, to place Wehrmacht troops in the forward units. Extreme cynicism and betrayal? No, simply an understanding of the pragmatic interests of the British Empire.

The above-quoted phrase about the “little donkey” (as Churchill felt himself to be in Tehran in 1943) continues: “I am a poor little English donkey who alone among the three knew the true way home.” Biographers of the politician explain: by “the way home” they meant preserving and strengthening British influence in the Mediterranean. And he defended these imperial interests with all his might.

"IT'S STRIKINGLY REMINISCENT OF HITLER."
The Prime Minister achieved his personal goal – he became, perhaps, the most famous English politician of the 20th century, an example for future Prime Ministers. When the member of the House of Commons Sir Winston Churchill died on January 24, 1965, at the age of 90 (having outlived Stalin, Roosevelt, and many allies and opponents in London), representatives of 112 countries were present at the farewell, and 350 million people watched the television broadcast of the funeral.

But still, the "bell" at Churchill's birthday in Tehran was not in vain. It was under him - and, of course, against his will - that Britain ceased to rule the seas and set the tone in world politics. Churchill was born in a state with 700 million subjects, and died in a country with a population of no more than 60 million (if, of course, you do not count the Commonwealth countries).

The Empire lost: Malaysia, Singapore, India, Pakistan, Ceylon, Burma, Mandatory Palestine, the Suez Canal, and many territories in Africa. But despite such catastrophic losses, thanks in large part to Winston Churchill, Great Britain remained and continues to remain one of the great countries in the world, desperately fighting to strengthen its influence on the world chessboard.

And most importantly, Churchill left behind a very dangerous principle, which is followed in both London and Washington. Stalin said this in an interview with Pravda on March 14, 1946:

"Mr. Churchill and his friends are strikingly reminiscent of... Hitler and his friends. Hitler began the business of unleashing war by proclaiming a racial theory, declaring that only people speaking German constitute a full-fledged nation. Mr. Churchill also begins the business of unleashing war with a racial theory, asserting that only nations speaking English are full-fledged nations, called upon to decide the destinies of the entire world."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
After entering Aleppo, Syrian insurgents advance to nearby province
[APNEWS] Thousands of Syrian gunnies took over most of Aleppo on Saturday, establishing positions in the country's largest city and controlling its airport before expanding their shock offensive to a nearby province. They faced little to no resistance from government troops, according to fighters and activists.

A war monitor, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said the gunnies led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
seized control of Aleppo International airport, the first international airport to be controlled by bully boys. The fighters claimed they seized the airport and posted pictures from there.

Thousands of fighters also moved on, facing almost no opposition from government forces, to seize towns and villages in northern Hama, a province where they had a presence before being expelled by government troops in 2016. They claimed Saturday evening to have entered the city of Hama.

The swift and surprise offensive is a huge embarrassment for Syria's President Bashir al-Assad and raises questions about his armed forces' preparedness. The bully boy offensive launched from their stronghold in the country's northwest appeared to have been planned for years. It also comes at a time when Assad's allies were preoccupied with their own conflicts.

In his first public comments since the start of the offensive, released by the state news agency Saturday evening, Assad said Syria will continue to ''defend its stability and territorial integrity against Lions of Islam and their supporters.'' He added that Syria is able to defeat them no matter how much their attacks intensify.

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
, a main backer of Syrian opposition groups, said its diplomatic efforts had failed to stop government attacks on opposition-held areas in recent weeks, which were in violation of a de-escalation agreement sponsored by Russia, Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and Ankara. Ottoman Turkish security officials said a limited offensive by the rebels was planned to stop government attacks and allow civilians to return, but the offensive expanded as Syrian government forces began to retreat from their positions.

The bully boys, led by the Salafi jihadi group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and including Turkey-backed fighters, launched their shock offensive on Wednesday. They first staged a two-pronged attack in Aleppo and the Idlib countryside, entering Aleppo two days later and securing a strategic town that lies on the highway that links Syria's largest city to the capital and the coast.

By Saturday evening, they seized at least four towns in the central Hama province and claimed to have entered the scenic provincial capital. The gunnies staged an attempt to reclaim areas they controlled in Hama in 2017 but failed.

PREPARING A COUNTERATTACK
Syria's armed forces said in a statement Saturday that to absorb the large attack on Aleppo and save lives, it redeployed troops and equipment and was preparing a counterattack. The statement acknowledged that gunnies entered large parts of the city but said they have not established bases or checkpoints. Later on Saturday, the armed forces sought to dispel what it said were lies in reference to reports about its forces retreating or defecting, saying the general command was carrying out its duties in ''combatting terrorist organizations.''

The return of the gunnies to Aleppo was their first since 2016, following a grueling military campaign in which Assad's forces were backed by Russia, Iran and its allied groups.

The 2016 battle for Aleppo was a turning point in the war between Syrian government forces and rebel fighters after 2011 protests against Assad's rule turned into an all-out war. After appearing to be losing control of the country to the rebels, the Aleppo battle secured Assad's hold on strategic areas of Syria, with opposition factions and their foreign backers controlling areas on the periphery.

The Times of Israel adds:
Ahmed Hussein al-Shar’a, known by his nom de guerre Abu Mohammad al-Julani (or Golani, indicating he was born in the Golan Heights), is wanted by the United States as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, with a $10 million bounty on his head.

The Times of Israel adds:
After the army said it was preparing a counterattack, airstrikes targeted rebel gatherings and convoys in the city, the pro-Damascus newspaper al-Watan reported. One strike caused casualties in Aleppo’s Basel Square, a resident told Reuters.

The state-run Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of the Enemy Parties in Syria said missile and bomb strikes against the rebels had targeted “militant concentrations, command posts, depots, and artillery positions” in Aleppo and Idlib provinces. It claimed about 300 rebel fighters had been killed in the attacks.

Overnight, images from Aleppo showed a group of rebel fighters gathered in the city’s Saadallah al-Jabiri Square, with a billboard of Assad looming behind them.

Images filmed on Saturday showed people posing for photos on a toppled statue of Bassil Assad, late brother of the president. Fighters zipped around the city in trucks and milled around in the streets. A man waved a Syrian opposition flag as he stood near Aleppo’s historic citadel.

The Syrian military command said militants had attacked in large numbers and from multiple directions, prompting “our armed forces to carry out a redeployment operation aimed at strengthening the defense lines in order to absorb the attack, preserve the lives of civilians and soldiers.”

The rebels also took control of Aleppo airport, according to a statement by their operations room and a security source.

Two rebel sources also said the insurgents had captured the city of Maraat al Numan in Idlib province, bringing all of that area under their control.

Iran says ‘terrorist elements’ attacked its Aleppo consulate during Syrian rebel offensive
[IsraelTimes] Iran says that “terrorist elements” have attacked its consulate in the Syrian city of Aleppo during a rebel offensive in the area.

In a statement, Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesman of the Iranian foreign ministry, “strongly condemned the attack” by “some armed terrorist elements” on the Iranian consulate, adding that all its staff members were safe.

#2  Wasn't there something called Hama-rules? What were those again?
Posted by: alanc || 12/01/2024 17:27 Comments || Top||

#3  Hama Rules? From Wikipedia:

1982 Hama massacre

The Hama massacre occurred in February 1982 when the Syrian Arab Army and the Defense Companies paramilitary force, under orders of president Hafez al-Assad, besieged the town of Hama for 27 days in order to quell an uprising by the Muslim Brotherhood against the Ba'athist government. The campaign that had begun in 1976 by Sunni Muslim groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood, was brutally crushed in an anti-Sunni massacre at Hama, carried out by the Syrian Arab Army and Alawite militias under commanding General Rifaat al-Assad. Prior to the start of operations, Hafez al-Assad issued orders to seal off Hama from the outside world; effectively imposing a media blackout, total shut down of communications, electricity and food supplies to the city for months. Initial diplomatic reports from Western countries stated that 1,000 were killed. Subsequent estimates vary, with the lower estimates reporting at least 10,000 deaths, while others put the number at 20,000 or 40,000.

Final score: ~25,000[4]-40,000 civilians killed[a]
~15,000-17,000 civilians disappeared[5][7]
~100,000 civilians deported

And nearly 2/3rds of the city was smashed to rubble. Robert Fisk was there, and it made his reputation.

Jews Starting War In Syria. Honest.
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

There are those who agree. Scott Ritter, for instance, courtesy of 3dc. Say what you will about the man (and I have), he’s not afraid to put his ideas out there:

… backed by the US, to cut off the supply route from Iran to Lebanon for Hezbollah, and threaten to destabilize/topple the Assad government, forcing Russia to divert resources from Ukraine to salvage their position in Syria. Ukraine has provided advisors to the anti-Assad militants on drone warfare. Israel has apparently extended its explosive pager/radio scheme into Syria as well, disrupting Syrian tactical command and control at a critical moment in the fighting.

Syria had largely demobilized, and Hezbollah had mostly returned to Lebanon. Iranian-backed Iraqi militias are ill prepared to contain this assault.

It is highly likely Aleppo will fall to the pro-Turkish Islamist forces. There will most likely be a concerted effort, led by Russia and Iran, to salvage the situation in Syria.

This will take time.
This offensive may threaten the ceasefire in Lebanon.
The biggest loser in all of this is Turkey and its President, Recep Erdogan.

This offensive could not have been carried out without close cooperation and coordination with Israel and the US.

Erdogan’s critical words against Israel have been exposed as empty rhetoric.

Erdogan has once again betrayed Russia.
And his support for Palestine has beed exposed as fraudulent in every way.

Russia and Iran will stabilize Syria.
This will take months.

Syria and its allies will destroy the Islamist stronghold in Idlib.
This will take years.

The Iran-Hezbollah supply line will be restored/maintained.
Israel will be defeated.
And the US will withdraw from Syria, probably in mid-2025.
And Turkey will continue to betray everyone it does business with, because Erdogan stands only for Turkey.

#1  Orrrrr, idk perhaps when Nasrallah/Assad/Iran mortared Druze grade-school children playing futball in Majdel Shams, it was a wake-up call for Druze across national boundaries. And now, Nasrallah is dead, and things aren’t going so well for Assad and Iran.

Hippos will tolerate crocs for a while, up to a certain point. Then, the hippos unite and destroy the crocs. Likewise, maybe the Iranian-sponsored Party Of Peaceful Coexistence shouldn’t have massacred Druze schoolchildren.

Europe
EU strategist opinion on EU and Putin
[LiberalForum] PUTIN’S EUROPE
The publication by Project:Polska, has taken on the task of dissecting and explaining the extent of Russia’s influence across Europe. The initiative brings together twenty experts from across the continent to articulate how Vladimir Putin’s actions and ideologies are affecting the lives of everyday Europeans.

THERE ARE NO PLACES IN EUROPE IN WHICH PUTIN WOULD NOT BE INTERESTED
On 24 February 2022, the Europeans awoke from their peaceful slumber. The tranquillity of the last few years turned out to be a delusion, and Europeans began to fear seriously for the future of their beautiful home. With the war, it became clear that Europe, the European Union and its member states were not free from Putin. From his influence, his money, his ideology, his rhetoric. A wave of self-audits overflowed from east to west.

The European Liberal Forum, supported by the Project: Poland Foundation, has taken on the crucial task of dissecting and explaining the extent of Russia’s influence across Europe. The initiative brings together twenty experts and editors from across the continent to articulate how Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s actions and ideologies affect everyday Europeans’ lives. This exploration is not just a narrative of external geopolitical manoeuvres; it delves into the internal dynamics of European countries, highlighting how Putin’s reach has infiltrated various sectors, including the economy, politics, media, and social organizations.

The study describes universal phenomena and trends. Even when the starting point for describing a problem is a single country or a group of countries, it does not at all mean that this problem is limited to this particular geographical area. On the contrary, it should be assumed that it is or will be present in one form or another in other countries as well. The question is: when and with what intensity? Because there are no places in Europe in which Putin would not be interested. Destabilising or subjugating every patch, even small or remote from Moscow, brings the dictator closer to his goal: reconstructing the empire, building Putin’s Europe.
