Government Corruption
Slimeballs at ATF caught deploying sneaky tactic to get around Trump's anti-woke purge
[Mail] The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives appeared to try and avoid Donald Trump's anti-DEI executive order by switching the job title of its Chief Diversity Officer.

On Tuesday, Trump's administration ordered federal agencies to place all Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) hires on paid leave pending review and warned authorities not to use 'coded or imprecise language' to circumvent the move.

But within a day of the order being announced, eagle-eyed online sleuths noticed the ATF's Chief Diversity Officer Lisa T. Boykin had a new job title, appearing to have been updated to 'Senior Executive.'

The ATF did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the claim it tried to go around Trump's executive order.

The move came after Trump signed an executive order on Monday within hours of being sworn-in that aimed to eradicate all DEI programs within the federal government.

The next day, the White House released a memo to federal agencies ordering them to not only place all DEI hires on paid leave by 5pm Wednesday, but to quickly form plans to fire every one of them.

In a letter first obtained by CBS News, the agencies were ordered to 'take prompt actions' against all DEI departments, with all employees warned to report 'any efforts to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language' - or risk 'adverse consequences.'

Monday's order was one of a raft of executive orders Trump moved quickly on, also including withdrawing the US from the World Health Organization, ordering all federal employees return to in-person work, and rescinding 78 Biden-era executive orders.

Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones Launches State-Level DOGE
[Breitbart] President Donald Trump is cleaning up Washington with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and one state is following his example.

Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones is launching a state-level DOGE through the “Red Tape Rollback Act of 2025,” Breitbart News learned exclusively. The Act will be a priority for Georgia’s 2025 Legislative Session and will build on the work done during the 2024 session to cut government regulation, boost small businesses, and expand economic opportunities throughout Georgia.

“Last year, we made positive changes to combat burdensome and costly regulations on behalf of workers and business owners all over Georgia,” Jones said. “As a business owner, continuing our efforts to promote deregulation and free our businesses from harmful government red tape will continue to be a priority.”

Jones says his Georgia model will “complement” Trump’s efforts in D.C.

“Our state initiative complements DOGE, President Donald Trump’s plan to create efficiency, while paring down unnecessary spending and eliminating bureaucratic red tape at the federal level,” he said. “I look forward to Georgia leading the way and joining President Trump in reducing the size and scope of government, while promoting the growth of businesses across our state.”

The Red Tape Rollback Act targets bureaucratic creep by enforcing accountability and transparency throughout Georgia’s government.

The Act would require all state agencies to complete a top-to-bottom review of all agency rules and regulations every four years, to account for the economic impact of all proposed rules and provide economic reports to the General Assembly when major rules are proposed. State agencies will also be directed to reduce compliance and paperwork burdens on small businesses.

The bill will also give legislators the ability to request a “Small Business Impact Analysis” for pending legislation to better understand how a bill might impact Georgia’s most important job creators.

Trump signed an executive order on his first day back in office renaming the U.S. Digital Service as the U.S. DOGE Service. It further directed that DOGE be established within the Executive Office of the President.

#1  I work in something called Lean Manufacturing that is the methodology that Musk uses at Tesla. I’m pretty sure that spontaneously creating a state level DOGE will end up being ineffective. There has to be a system methodology with a prioritization and assignment of projects, bench marking and auditing of results.

Trump's CIA Director John Ratcliffe: John Brennan's ‘Tenure One of Worst Things That Ever Happened to Agency,' Need to Depoliticize Intelligence
[Breitbart] President Donald Trump’s newly confirmed Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director, John Ratcliffe, told Breitbart News exclusively that he views his mission as restoring the world’s most preeminent intelligence agency to its core primary objectives and undoing the lasting damage that one of his predecessors, John Brennan, did to the CIA.

“It would be fair to say his tenure was one of the worst things that has ever happened to the Agency,” Ratcliffe told Breitbart News of Brennan on Thursday in his first interview as CIA director.

Ratcliffe, who served as Director of National Intelligence (DNI) in Trump’s first term, was just confirmed Thursday afternoon as Trump’s new director of the CIA and sworn in shortly thereafter. He sat for his interview as CIA director on Thursday with Breitbart News, a broad and wide-ranging conversation that focused on the challenges that face the Intelligence Community (IC) as a whole, the CIA in particular, and how he views his role in terms of helping Trump execute his agenda. Ratcliffe also covered several major world theaters, from China to Russia to the Middle East, in this interview. But his very harsh criticism of Brennan, whose security clearance was just revoked by Trump along with the other 51 intelligence officials who falsely claimed Hunter Biden’s laptop was a product of Russian disinformation, is sure to make major news and marks a totally new era being ushered in at the CIA.

“There are challenges within the Intelligence Community and skepticism, I guess,” Ratcliffe told Breitbart News. “It’s because the American people saw examples of that. They saw the FBI misuse intelligence authorities at the FISA courts to spy on the Trump campaign. They saw through my declassification when I was DNI notes that the Intelligence Community knew in the summer of 2016 that Hillary Clinton had funded the Steele Dossier but yet it resulted in the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane and the Mueller investigation and the whole Russia collusion hoax. Then in 2020 they saw Brennan, [James] Clapper, and others amplify this lie that Adam Schiff started about Hunter Biden’s laptop being a Russian disinformation operation when everyone related to that did know and understand that there was no intelligence that supported that. Ultimately the FBI and Department of Justice used that laptop at the central piece of evidence in the prosecution of Hunter Biden and his guilty plea.”

Asked if former President Joe Biden pardoning his son, Hunter Biden, weeks before he left office and then doing the same for several of his family members in his final moments as president on Monday confirmed once and for all that the Biden family is corrupt and the critics are correct, Ratcliffe said it did. “Absolutely — it’s verification of that,” Ratcliffe said.

Ratcliffe said he also believes one of his main tasks as CIA director is to get the Agency “back to its core mission” and cut out the political nonsense that Brennan started back during President Barack Obama’s administration.

“So I do think the challenge is one of my focuses has to be not only to get the CIA back to its core mission and the things that it’s supposed to do like being the best foreign intelligence agency and collecting human intelligence and being objective in the analysis of that intelligence and conducting covert action as directed by the president and authorized by the president and only by the president, and then the counterintelligence mission of keeping America’s national security information safe — all of those things will remain the same,” Ratcliffe said. “But restoring the public’s confidence in the Intelligence Community, particularly the CIA, in the ability to do that. I talked about that in the confirmation process and how I would go about that. The number one thing is to move away from the things that have contributed to all of the failures and all of the mistakes and all of the lapses that we just talked about—the politicization of intelligence, and it really started under the tenure of John Brennan.”

Ratcliffe said that Brennan’s well-publicized efforts to “modernize” the CIA actually ended up hurting the agency in retrospect, and he will be spending a lot of time undoing the damage Brennan did to the CIA.

“His so-called ‘modernization’ of the CIA when he was director was in fact a politically motivated, bureaucratically imposed social justice agenda,” Ratcliffe told Breitbart News of Brennan. “The immediate impact of that and effect of that was that from that point forward every metric of success was that the CIA performed less well. The agency collected less intelligence, it was lower quality intelligence, and it was increasingly politicized in the analysis of that intelligence. That carried on throughout his tenure and then even after his tenure as we just talked about the timing of the letter of the 51 spies who lied was really the capstone of a career of politicizing intelligence. President Trump wants that to stop. He wants me to return the CIA to a meritocracy that produces better intelligence and addresses the kind of intelligence failures we talked about and things we’ve seen recently like with regard to Afghanistan, the assessments in Ukraine, the failure to see the October 7 Hamas talks, and now just a few weeks ago the fall of Syria. All of those things are because we haven’t done what we’re supposed to be doing to inform policymakers to make good decisions. Good decisions are hostage to good information and good intelligence and we’ve got to get back to that, so that’s the mandate from President Trump. As you know, my priorities will be his priorities. He makes the policy and I provide, as his CIA director, good intelligence to make that policy whatever it is. He needs good intelligence to end the war in Ukraine. He needs good intelligence to counter China’s moves in the Taiwan Strait or to hold them accountable with regard to COVID. He needs good intelligence to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon and from their ability to fund terrorism throughout the Middle East. That’s what it’s all about and I’m excited about the opportunity to do it and I’m confident that we’ll do exactly that.”

Asked to further flesh out what went wrong with Obama’s CIA Director, Ratcliffe said that his well-documented radicalism—Brennan proudly acknowledged once voting for the Communist Party candidate for president—combined his devotion to radical social justice insanity rather than meritocracy severely hurt the Agency’s reputation in the long term. Ratcliffe said that he and Trump have discussed how to fix that, and undo that damage and return the CIA to a meritocracy where regardless of somebody’s background their qualifications and accomplishments determine their success.

“You start with someone whose political history involved voting for a member of the Communist Party,” Ratcliffe said. “So many people were surprised that President Obama chose him to be director in the first place, but we just walked through how what the CIA and the Intelligence Community should do is to be completely apolitical and to not let politics infect intelligence products. That’s where mistakes happen, that’s where lapses in judgment happen, and that’s where Americans lose their lives. So we just talked about how, when you move away from that and you move toward a social justice agenda where people move up because they check certain boxes, that’s something that we’re demonstrating isn’t going to be tolerated. So, the ending of DEI across all federal offices included the Central Intelligence Agency. I say this, under President Trump and under me at the CIA, someone’s race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation and preference shouldn’t inhibit anyone’s success but nor should it be an entitlement to success or advancement. In many cases, that is what happened and what has happened so we’re going back to a true meritocracy where everyone in the federal government can go as high and as far as their abilities can carry them and that’s what should be the metrics of success.”

Much more, including in-depth discussion about China and Artificial Intelligence, from Ratcliffe’s first interview as CIA director is forthcoming soon.

#6  Biden destroyed executive privilege for the outgoing administration in his effort to screw Trump in Georgia. Biden gave a smattering of pardons to folks that can no longer plead the 5th. We have an environment where we can find out a lot of things about what went on. Because DC judges are corrupt and the jury pool there is a sewage tank, we do not have an environment for accountability.

#9  Unfortunately, most of the population centers of most states would yield similar results. Farming cases out to the hinterlands in hopes of finding a hanging jury isn’t really justice. There would also be a problem away from DC with regards any classified info. The most viable solution is probably the military tribunals that the Q folks are expecting. If that becomes the solution, waiting long enough for the pup mask dude to be cashiered out of service would be advisable.

Huntington Beach strikes back at Newsom''s ''lawless'' immigration policies
More winning, one community at at time.
[NYPOST] A Southern California city just threw down the gauntlet against Gov. Gavin Newsom's immigration policy.

Huntington Beach, a city of around 200,000 in Orange County, passed a ''non-sanctuary city'' resolution that instructs law enforcement to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other federal agencies as they ramp up their fight against migrant crime.

The declaration takes aim at a 2017 law, championed by Newsom, that forbids state and local resources from aiding federal immigration authorities.

Under that law, local law enforcement could not detain someone for being in the country illegally, or assist organizations like ICE in identifying and apprehending undocumented immigrants.

''It's a basic public safety issue — If someone has already been arrested for a crime, and we find out they are undocumented, we still have to let them go. And now they're out in the community,'' Casey McKeon, one of the city council members who unanimously supported the resolution, told The Post.

Huntington Beach officials claimed the law hamstrung their law enforcement's ability to protect the city, citing state records that show a 20% upswing in violent crime since the sanctuary law — SB 54, aka the ''California Values Act'' — went into effect.

But now, as the new Trump administration begins to crack down on illegal immigration, the city faces another dilemma: Shun SB 54 and work with the federal government or abide by state law and potentially face litigation.

''We have to protect our police officers from federal prosecution by, basically, ignoring the sanctuary state law,'' City Attorney Michael Gates said.

Rhode Island judge Joseph Molina Flynn specializing in immigration law resigns after FBI raids office
[NYPOST] The ''first formerly undocumented judge in Rhode Island'' abruptly resigned hours after the FBI raided his downtown Providence immigration law office on Thursday.
He forgot he’s here illegally — do I understand that correctly?
Central Falls Municipal Court Judge Joseph Molina Flynn was being investigated before President Trump's return to the Oval Office and the raid is unrelated to his recent string of immigration-related executive orders, according to WPRI 12.

The reason for the raid has yet to be revealed by the agency.

Multiple black SUVs and Providence police cruisers were seen lined up outside the building where his office is located on Thursday.

Molina Flynn was born in Medellin, Colombia, and arrived in the US on a tourist visa when he was 9 years old, according to his law firm’s website.

He obtained his “lawful permanent resident status and then his citizenship” after spending 15 years in the US as an undocumented immigrant.

Molina Flynn later attended Johnson and Wales University and the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor.

He founded Molina Flynn Law Offices in 2015 as a solo practitioner, focusing on immigration, family and criminal matters, and has a location in Boston and downtown Providence.

Molina Flynn’s bio also states that he is the “first gay person” appointed as the municipal court judge in Central Falls and the “first formerly undocumented Judge in Rhode Island.”

He also teaches “Crimmigration” as an adjunct professor at the Roger Williams University Law School.

CIA Director Ratcliffe: ‘Day-One Thing' to Get to Bottom of Chinese ‘Origins of COVID,' Wuhan Lab Leak
[Breitbart] Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director John Ratcliffe told Breitbart News in his first interview after being confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Thursday that he intends to immediately get to the bottom of what the Agency knows about COVID leaking from a Wuhan lab in China.

Ratcliffe was confirmed by the Senate Thursday and then sworn in by Vice President JD Vance as the newest director of the CIA. He spoke with Breitbart News on Thursday for his first exclusive interview, in which he laid out how he intends to reform the Agency to return the world’s preeminent intelligence service to its core mission and depoliticize it. He also ripped previous CIA director John Brennan, who led the Agency during former President Barack Obama’s administration, as being singularly responsible for steering it in the wrong direction.

When it comes to confronting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Ratcliffe did not hold back.

“I know from conversations with the president about where his priorities are and where he wants things to be as it concerns foreign threats to America’s national security posture, and it starts with China,” Ratcliffe said. “One of the things that I’ve talked about a lot is addressing the threat from China on a number of fronts, and that goes back to why a million Americans died and why the Central Intelligence Agency has been sitting on the sidelines for five years in not making an assessment about the origins of COVID. That’s a day-one thing for me. I’ve been on record as you know in saying I think our intelligence, our science, and our common sense all really dictates that the origins of COVID was a leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. But the CIA has not made that assessment or at least not made that assessment publicly. So I’m going to focus on that and look at the intelligence and make sure that the public is aware that the agency is going to get off the sidelines.”

The CIA has been mired in controversy on this front for the past several years as a whistleblower alleged that Agency analysts who were tasked with determining how COVID originated were bribed to say it did not come from the Wuhan lab. Everyone agrees the virus came from China, but there has been disagreement as to whether it came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology or whether it spread from animals to humans in nature, though the lab leak theory has regained prominence if not dominance in recent years after originally being attacked. The CIA has still not taken a formal position on this, but with Ratcliffe at the helm, that is quite clearly going to change and soon.

Ratcliffe also mentioned to Breitbart News a joint op-ed he wrote with former Deputy Director of National Intelligence Cliff Sims for the Wall Street Journal on exactly this matter in September 2023:

More broadly than just confronting China on COVID, Ratcliffe said his role will be arming President Donald Trump with the facts and intelligence he needs about China so that way when he negotiates and communicates with his counterpart in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump has all the information he needs to succeed.

“As President Trump deals with President Xi, he needs to be armed with the very best intelligence and to be able to talk about China in a way that if they caused or contributed to the death of a million Americans, the president needs to be armed with that,” Ratcliffe said. “But countering China and its aggression is something I started as DNI. As you may recall, I did an op-ed along with Cliff Sims that highlighted the threat from China at the time. You may remember that I got criticized for being political and saying that I was out-sizing the threat from China. Well, fast forward four years later, the FBI director says in his exit interview that China is the biggest threat of our generation and gets praised for saying that. Well, we were saying that four years ago. So, really putting the focus on that and continuing that is really going to be something President Trump needs.”

Ratcliffe also said he believes the U.S. foreign policy and intelligence establishment has been behind the times in understanding the threats China poses to the U.S., in part because they are built for fighting a Cold War with Russia that they already won decades ago and also in part because of the CCP’s use of spreading around cash to major institutions in America. He said Trump wants him to prepare the CIA to truly position the U.S. for the 21st century on this front and catch up with the fact that China — not Russia — is the biggest geopolitical threat the United States faces.

“You have people who have been at the different intelligence agencies for so long and focused on the Russia threat — and, as you said, legitimately because [Vladimir] Putin is a bad guy and a regime with a huge nuclear stockpile that we need to talk about — but yeah, the Intelligence Community has been slow to adjust to the fact that China is the primary geopolitical threat we face,” Ratcliffe said. “It’s the second largest economy, and they compete with us across the board on a peer-to-peer basis in a way that Russia can’t, and I think there are reasons for that that are unfortunately — there’s a financial aspect to that. From Washington, DC, to Wall Street to Silicon Valley to Hollywood, there has been a desire to keep China from being labeled a bad guy because a lot of people make a lot of money from China and in China, and China has a lot of influence in all of those places. But our intelligence is clear —I saw that as DNI and now it’s inescapable for people to not see — on how sinister and nefarious the People’s Republic of China and its various arms of the Chinese Communist Party have been. So, we’ve been slow to adjust the focus, and it’s one of the things that the president needs and wants from us.”

More from Ratcliffe’s first interview as CIA director is forthcoming.

How Donald Trump could make Greenland an offer they can''t refuse
[NYPOST] Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
says he's serious about an acquisition, possibly hostile, of that place called Greenland, a snowy very large venue that nearly abuts the North Pole. But it's filled with natural resources and strategically placed to the north of us, and that's why The Donald wants it possibly as the 51st.

Since I'm in Davos at the World Economic Forum, a literal cluster-you-know-what of investment bankers, I thought I'd ask around about the feasibility of such a deal.

The answer, which might surprise you, went something like this: Difficult, not impossible.

You might recall, that was the exact answer given to Michael Corleone in "Godfather II," when he asked about the feasibility of murdering his rival for power, Hyman Roth. Michael gave the hit to one of his right hands, Rocco Lampone, to meet Roth, now a runaway, at the airport and whack him despite being surrounded by the feds.

Roth was indeed met, and murdered, though at a high price. Lampone was killed after putting a slug in Roth’s gut.

Taking over Greenland, similarly, could get messy. Trump hasn’t ruled out using the military, citing with much justification Greenland’s strategic importance to US self-preservation, its raft of natural resources. The Chinese and Russians are increasingly encroaching on our turf, establishing business ties with the self-governing territory of Denmark.

And of course, we provide the place with protection even as they do business with our global adversaries.

But before the bullets start flying, Wall Street dealmakers both here in Davos and back in New York are starting to think about a peaceful way to make the deal, and just how feasible the deal might be.

The biggest obstacle, I am told, is what you might expect: money.

"In the minds of Denmark and I’m sure Greenland’s, I’m sure it’s priceless," one Wall Street CEO told me.

Good point. How do you value a country? How do you put a price tag on the future value of Greenland’s mineral deposits?

Again, difficult, but not impossible. Everything has a price. Trump could argue to Denmark or whoever is calling the shots on this, that without the US watching its back, considering it part of our sphere of influence, get ready to start speaking Chinese, Russian or both.

Try to put a price tag on that.

Ok, but there is also an issue called "eminent domain" to consider. The legal construct allows the US government to seize property in the US based on a compelling national interest and to compensate the owner fairly. But extending that internationally, well, sets a crazy precedent.

"Eminent domain would be considered a global threat," a CEO told me. It might give credibility to China finally moving on Taiwan.

#1  As long as I can remember, which happens to be a very long time, our leaders have been using Russia as an excuse to do all kinds of really stupid things. To me, this sounds like the same old shit.

If Trump can get the Danes to sell, OK. Otherwise, forget it.

I see a lot of positives if Greenland came onboard initially as a territory of the United States.

But we need to look at the BIG Political Picture also. How would the GL citizens vote? MAGA or Liberal Democrat?

Casting out a MEGA What If. Canada!
About 22 million voter age people. Use to being liberally governed and provided many free basic things the US Dem's dream up of implementing. That could flip the House & Senate to uber liberal.

#3  There are currently only 50k folks there so it is not eligible for statehood. It would come in as a territory with a path to statehood. The only reason to purchase Greenland outright would be to exploit the natural resources in a place that the Dems have not had a chance to block off as monuments. The exploitation would result in an influx of new blue collar residents. Today’s electorate is not as important as the electorate at the time of statehood. My guess is that it would vote like Alaska.

#4  seems to me the best alternative would be for Greenland to be in a Compact of Free Association with the USA, like the Marshall Islands.

Britain
Southport Child Slayings Reignites Debate on UK's Abolition of The Death Penalty
[Breitbart] The jailing of Axel Rudakubana — who rushed into a children’s party and tried to kill everyone inside, ultimately murdering three young girls — but not even for a full-life sentence has triggered a debate on legal reform.

Prominent Reform UK party Member of Parliament Rupert Lowe responded to the sentencing of 18-year-old Axel Rudakubana on Thursday to say the killings call for a national debate about the United Kingdom having abolished the death penalty. Rudakubana was sentenced to a minimum of 52 years for the murder of three young children, the attempted murder of eight young children, the attempted murder of two adults, and possession of a knife, the creation of a biotoxin, and possession of an Al-Qaeda manual.

Rudakubana stormed into a children’s party and attempted to murder those inside with extreme violence just days before his 18th birthday. Had he been 18 at the time of the attack, he would have been legally liable for, and would almost certainly have been sentenced to, what is called in the United Kingdom a whole life order. This extremely rare order distinguishes a sentence ordering the inmate to actually spend his whole life in prison from the misleadingly named life sentence, where the criminal could spend their whole life in prison but would actually be liable for release after a set number of years, if they can persuade a parole board.

In Rudakubana’s case, because he was not quite an adult by a few days, he was sentenced to a minimum term of 52 years. This contrasts to the United States, for instance, where in some cases 17-year-olds who commit particularly abhorrent crimes can be tried as full adults, and where in some states attempting to murder an entire class of young children would invite the death penalty.

Even Britain’s politically milquetoast parties at least conceded the case suggested the United Kingdom’s legal system might need some reform in the face of such violence, which despite its familiar characteristics and the presence of a terrorism conviction the nation’s prosecutor absolutely refuses to call terrorism.

Labour MP Patrick Hurley called the sentence “unduly lenient” and said he had referred the matter to the Attorney General for review. The UK AG can overrule a judge in such cases, and the present incumbent Lord Hermer has been battered by successive waves of bad press in recent weeks over allegations that he is deeply partisan and possibly unfit for office, so intervening in this case could be perceived as a easy means to buy himself a good news cycle.

The Times of London states the Conservatives have also suggested the case might presage change, with party leader Kemi Badenoch saying there was a “strong case” to consider a whole life order for Rudakubana.

But these vague assertions were handily drowned out by calls from Reform’s Rupert Lowe, who questioned whether in such a case a return to hanging wasn’t worth discussing. He wrote: “It is my opinion that now is the time for a national debate on the use of the death penalty in exceptional circumstances. This is an exceptional circumstance.”

A previous Labour government abolished the death penalty in functionally all cases in the 1960s and the last people hung by the state were in 1964. Yet public opinion wasn’t in favour of abolishing hanging then, and a majority supported bringing it back for decades afterwards.

Although polling on this matter is not frequently undertaken — given it is something politicians very rarely wish to talk about — what research there is suggests in the 21st century it is still the case more Britons want to bring back hanging then keep it banned.

There are shades of opinion on the matter of execution. Reform leader Nigel Farage has previously said he is against capital punishment, stating in 2014 “I have my reservations about the state having the power to end someone’s life”. Farage’s position appears to flow from the notion, common among many that would support capital punishment otherwise, that the state and legal system is too incompetent to be trusted to get it right every time.

#2  Interesting from the Daily Mail — it seems the lad is autistic and has long wanted to hurt and kill others:

Southport killer Axel Rudakubana's father removed his son from taxi as he set off to launch 'high school massacre' just a week before he murdered three girls in knife rampage

The 17-year-old booked a taxi from his home to Range High School in Formby on July 22 last year, wearing the same green hooded sweatshirt and surgical mask he would have on during the dance-class attack a week later.

It is feared he was planning a high-school massacre, although police say there was 'no evidence' he had a knife with him.

An witness said: 'There was a confrontation and Rudakubana was eventually persuaded to leave the vehicle.' Rudakubana then went back inside.

There is no suggestion Rudakubana's father knew what he is believed to have been planning at the school on July 22.

The video has been revealed as Rudakubana, now 18, was this afternoon given a life sentence with a minimum of 52 years in prison after murdering three young girls in Southport last year - with trial judge Mr Justice Goose saying it was 'not likely he will ever be released'.

Police have said that on July 29, the day of the murders, Rudakubana 'changed his routine' in response to having been intercepted by his father a week earlier.

On this occasion, instead of booking a minicab to the house, he walked to a nearby bus stop and then called a taxi to take him to Southport, a 15-minute drive away.

Rudakubana's family have been left 'devastated' by the atrocity he inflicted and are now in hiding after police moved them for their own safety, a church attended by his father revealed this week.

Revelations earlier this week following Rudakubana's guilty pleas included:

  • The signs Rudakubana would go on to kill including a hockey stick attack;
  • How his church-going parents were linked to the Rwandan genocide; and
  • He was referred to the counter-extremism programme Prevent three times.

Rudakubana, born in Cardiff, had moved in 2013 to the Merseyside seaside resort of Southport where his father Alphonse - a former soldier in the Rwanda Patriotic Front - worked as a taxi driver.

Rudakubana was a former pupil at the Range High but was expelled for carrying out a disturbing incident which saw him try to attack pupils with a hockey stick.

At the age of 13, the youngster was suspended for bringing a knife into school before returning with the sports equipment and wielding it at pupils, causing him to be restrained by a teacher.

On another occasion, pupils filmed him attempting to attack a teacher during a lesson, having to be restrained by three classmates.

source said: 'Rudakubana rang Childline when he was 13 to say he was going to bring a knife into Range High School because he was being bullied.'

'They immediately raised the alarm and he was immediately excluded. He never actually brought a knife in.'

But around a fortnight later he sneaked back onto the school grounds armed with a hockey stick, apparently trying to attack children who he felt had wronged him. Former pupils said one boy suffered a broken wrist.

Police were called after the incident in December 2019 and Rudakubana was later given a ten-month referral order by a youth court – believed to be his only brush with the law prior to last July's atrocity.

The source added: 'By all accounts he was a normal year 9 pupil until this happened, he was a model student.

'The knife threat and then the hockey stick attack seem to have been the start of him becoming obsessed with the most horrific violence, eventually culminating in the attack on the dance studio. That was the spark which started everything.'

A video showing Rudakubana being restrained by fellow pupils at Range High seen by the Mail is understood to have involved him trying to attack one of the children he accused of bullying him.

He then attended specialist educational units including a college in Southport which sources said he only attended 'two or three times'.

Sources stressed that Rudakubana was raised a Catholic and there was no religious motivation around his fixation on violence or the dance studio attack.

'He had no religious links whatsoever – he was just pure evil and wanted to hurt people,' one said. 'It was as simple as that. I would describe him as generational evil.'

Rudakubana received regular medical assessments as well as having a social worker.

'He was seen by multiple medical professionals, and autism was the prevailing diagnosis,' said the source.

'But while there was a major flag on his case because of his threat to bring a knife into school, there were no incidents of violence or carrying a weapon.

'He became obsessed with wars, conflicts, genocides and the most appalling atrocities. That's how he came to be referred to Prevent and counter-terrorism.

'It's just chilling how he went from being an apparently normal year 9 kid to becoming just uncontrollably evil.'

After his expulsion, Rudakubana attended specialist education provision in the Southport area.

At the time of the atrocity he was on the books of a college but had only attended two or three times, with a source saying: 'He just bunked off all the time.'

Police were regularly present to support social workers attending his family home over his poor attendance.

'Social workers who visited him always brought their own security,' a source said.

'It was felt that for their own safety it was better for them to have someone to keep them safe because they were so worried about what he was capable of.'

Chuck Schumer’s office upsets Democratic aide with inaugural email exposing info to MAGA faithful by not using ‘BCC’
[PAGESIX] An aide to New York City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams apparently wasn't too happy their email was inadvertently exposed to a bunch of Trump supporters after a faux pas by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's office.

On Friday, President Trump announced the inauguration would be held indoors, creating a last-minute venue shakeup.

That's when Schumer's office got an email out to his inauguration list, advising attendees that since the event was to be moved, their invites could not be used to access the new indoor venue. But the tickets could make nice souvenirs should they still want to pick them up in person at the Hart Senate Office Building or have them mailed.

However, the email from Schumer's office to the hundreds of guests on his ticket list might've been sent out a bit too fast — and the aide who fired off the message apparently did not use the ''BCC'' (blind carbon copy) option, showing everyone's email on the list.

Trump''s ICE raids turn up pedos, gangbangers, and NY-based suspected terrorist as 538 migrants arrested
[NYPOST] President Trump's long-promised ICE raids continued on Thursday — as the total number of illegal migrants colonists nabbed by federal authorities reached 538, including new arrests of pedophiles, gang members, and a suspected terrorist in New York.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are scouring cities and states, trying to round up illegal aliens who are either wanted for crimes in their home country or who have committed crimes during their time in the US.

A source told The Post that many of the migrants colonists rounded up by agents were convicted in ''some very heinous cases.''

ICE's crackdown spanned several states — including a controversial raid on a Newark, NJ, business in which agents failed to provide a warrant for the search and temporarily detained a military veteran without cause, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka alleged.

    However,
    ars longa, vita brevis...
the day was marked by successful apprehensions of various pervs and perps including five men convicted of sexual crimes against children, a suspected terrorist, smugglers, and alleged murderers.

ICE New York apprehended Gokhan Adriguzel, a 30-year-old Turkish national who is a “known or suspected terrorist,” according to a release from the agency.

Woke flash mob ruins University of Washington student's event about DEI and trans sports
[DM] University of Washington Turning Point USA event was shut down after a woke flash mob brandishing placards disrupted the talk.

The school's chapter of the conservative nonprofit hosted Olivia Krolczyk for a speech on 'the threat of the trans agenda' on Tuesday.

Krolczyk is a Riley Gaines Center Ambassador and gained notoriety when she posted a viral TikTok about her University of Cincinnati professor who failed her for using the term 'biological women' in a paper.

Rowdy protesters gathered outside Thomson Hall around 6pm and started dancing in unison - just as Krolczyk's speech was set to begin. The fire alarm was pulled inside the building shortly after.

A video showed the group dancing in a flash mob style, wearing shirts that said 'Thank God I'm Trans' and holding posters stating, 'Come Dance With Us. Celebrate Trans Joy.'

Telling her followers about the ordeal, Krolczyk said: 'Hundreds of students, including ANTIFA, actually showed up to protest. They essentially shut down the road that the building was on.
Not just a spontaneous, grassroots event, but a formal ANTIFA black bloc action, no doubt with professional outside organizers.
'They blocked all of the entrance and exit points so we could not get in or out of the building, pulled the fire alarm, set off some other alarm... we could not leave the building.

'There was graffiti all over the building. They broke the windows, threw the noise makers in, had lights, were yelling, were in my face.'

    -Lurid Crime Tales-
'Golden child' forensic crime scientist faces 102 criminal charges over scandalous mistakes
[DM] A Colorado Bureau of Investigation DNA scientist has been accused of jeopardizing hundreds of criminal cases after she cut corners and failed to follow testing protocols.

Yvonne 'Missy' Woods was known as a 'golden child' during her 29-year career with the state agency - before she retired in 2023, as reported by Fox 21.

But she was arrested Tuesday for 102 criminal charges, including dozens of counts of forgery, as she is accused of altering data in over 500 cases between 2008 and 2023.

The investigation into her alleged misconduct began in September 2023 after an intern at the bureau discovered missing information in a sexual assault case that Woods handled in 2018.

A probe into other cases found that Woods had altered data to conceal tampering or contamination, deleted information that showed she failed to troubleshoot issues within the testing process and did not thoroughly document tests performed in case records, authorities said.

Woods allegedly admitted to deleting some historical data on a DNA instrument but claimed she was advised to do so during quarterly maintenance. Investigators then found the manufacturer had not recommended the deletion, per court documents.
She was reportedly found to have deleted specific values in reports about at least 35 sexual assault cases and at least seven homicides.

When Woods was asked about the alleged data manipulation, she reportedly said: 'I got to put out seven cases that day instead of five. I don’t know.'

In the first prosecution in the state believed to be impacted by Woods’ work, a Colorado man in June pleaded guilty to lesser charges in the killings of three people in 2017.

Prosecutors say they gave Garrett Coughlin the chance to plead guilty to second-degree murder partly because they were unable to call Woods to testify in a case that relied mostly on circumstantial evidence.

The deal allowed Coughlin to avoid a possible life sentence for felony murder.

Officials said Wednesday that the response to Woods’ alleged misconduct had cost more than $11 million.

Among those costs, the Colorado Department of Public Safety last year asked the Legislature for $7.5 million to pay for an independent lab to retest up to 3,000 DNA samples and for district attorneys to review and potentially reprosecute cases that are affected by lab errors.

State officials announced Tuesday they had hired a consulting firm to review the state’s forensic program. Bureau of Investigations Director Chris Schaefer said in a statement that the hiring of Forward Resolutions LLC was part of the agency’s effort to 'hold itself accountable' following the allegations against Woods.

Concerns about Woods’ work first surfaced more than a decade ago, according to authorities. In 2014, a worker questioned her testing of evidence and in 2018 she was temporarily removed from working on DNA cases after being accused of data manipulation, the report said.

Woods is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.

How Antioch high school shooter Solomon Henderson evaded AI weapon detection system before opening fire
[DM] Antioch High School shooter Solomon Henderson managed to avoid an artificial intelligence weapons detection system in the moments before he opened fire and killed 16-year-old Josselin Corea Escalante.

Metro Nashville Public Schools had invested more than $1million into the Omnilert system, which works with all of the district's cameras to immediately recognize weapons and alert the local police department, the Tennessean reports.

But when Henderson, 17, retrieved a handgun from the men's room Wednesday morning, the camera system did not notice his weapon.

'In this instance, based on the location of the shooter and the position of the weapon, it did not activate the system,' school district spokesman Sean Braisted said at a news conference Thursday.

However, when police and school resource officers arrived on the scene, the system did activate.

Omnilert CEO Dave Fraser also emphasized to NBC News that 'this is not a case of the firearm not being recognized by the system,' and instead, 'the location of the shooter and the firearm meant that the weapon was not visible.'

Police have said Henderson opened fire inside the school cafeteria shortly after 11am, firing several rounds using a pistol, before taking his own life with the weapon.

Another student was also injured with a graze wound to the arm, and was rushed to the hospital in stable condition, while a fourth boy was injured during the commotion to flee the scene.

#4  Like I've been saying, artificial intelligence can only be as intelligent as the people who program it. AI is a buzzword and, AFAICT, it only means the software has access to external information such as cameras or internet search engines and then it endeavors to process that information. It might be extremely sophisticated. If it can process a live digital video stream as well as a human being then it will be extremely sophisticated. But there will be bugs.

Besides, what's wrong with old fashioned metal detectors?

Rhode Island judge specializing in immigration law resigns after FBI raids office
[FoxNews] FBI agents raided the law offices of immigration lawyer and Central Falls Municipal Court Judge Joseph Molina Flynn in Providence, Rhode Island, Thursday, though the reason for the raid has not yet been disclosed.

An FBI spokesperson confirmed that a court authorized the raid, though the spokesperson declined to comment further.

Molina Flynn’s office remained silent about the raid, declining to answer calls and emails from Fox News.

WPRI 12 reported that a warrant was executed at the office on Dorrance Street, and video of the warrant execution showed a line of black SUVs outside the building with agents walking into the building and walking out with boxes.

The station also reported that two sources familiar with the matter claimed the investigation into Molina Flynn started before President Donald Trump returned to the White House this week.

The law firm states on its site that the practice was founded in 2015 and focuses on immigration, family and criminal matters.

The site also notes that the judge was born in Medellin, Columbia, and arrived in the U.S. when he was just 9 years old on a tourist visa. He remained in the country and lived undocumented for 15 years before obtaining lawful permanent resident status, the site added.

Molina Flynn attended Johnson and Wales University, then went on to University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor.

When reached for comment, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Rhode Island told Fox, "Thank you for reaching out. Our office does not comment on media reporting."

On Thursday, Molina Flynn resigned from his position as the municipal court judge for the City of Central Falls, a job he was appointed to in 2021.

The Providence Journal reported that Molina Flynn’s resignation was announced by Central Falls Mayor Maria Rivera shortly after news of the raid broke.

"I was deeply concerned to see the reports of an FBI search at the law office of Joseph Molina Flynn," Rivera told the publication. "As the Central Falls community knows, transparency and accountability are priorities of mine. In an effort to uphold the integrity and focus of the municipal court, Judge Molina Flynn has officially resigned his position."

Hezbollah stresses role of state and int'l community if Israel stays in south — Naharnet
[NAHARNET] Hezbollah said Thursday that it will be the responsibility of the Lebanese state to act and press the countries sponsoring the ceasefire agreement should Israel delay its military pullout from south Leb
...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. Only one of those statements is an exaggeration....
''The 60-day deadline for the complete withdrawal of the Zionist enemy from Lebanese territory is about to expire, and this compels it to carry out a complete and comprehensive implementation, in line with what was mentioned in the ceasefire agreement,'' Hezbollah said in a written statement.

''Some leaks about the enemy's postponement of its pullout — require everyone, topped by the political authority in Lebanon, to press the countries sponsoring the agreement to act effectively and oversee the final days of the deadline in a manner that guarantees complete withdrawal and the Lebanese Army's deployment to the last inch of Lebanese territory,'' the group said.

''Any exceeding of the 60-day deadline would be considered a flagrant breach pf the agreement, a continued attack on Lebanese illusory sovereignty and a new phase of occupation that requires the state to deal with it through all the means and methods guaranteed by international conventions, in order to regain the land and liberate it from occupation,'' Hezbollah went on to say.

Adding that it will be ''following up on the developments of the situation,'' Hezbollah emphasized that ''any violation of the agreement and pledges and any attempt to evade them under frail excuses will not be acceptable.''

''We call for a strict commitment that does not accept any compromises,'' Hezbollah added.

Trump's order against birthright citizenship blocked by Seattle judge
[GEO.TV] A federal judge in Seattle has blocked President Donald Trump
...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election. Then he beat Kamala while dodging bullets...
's administration from enforcing an executive order aimed at restricting automatic birthright citizenship, calling the move "blatantly unconstitutional."

US District Judge John Coughenour, at the urging of four Democratic-led states, issued a temporary restraining order preventing the administration from enforcing the order, which the Republican president signed on Monday during his first day in office.

"This is a blatantly unconstitutional order," the judge told a lawyer with the US Justice Department defending Trump's order.

The order has already become the subject of five lawsuits by civil rights groups and Democratic attorneys general from 22 states, who call it a flagrant violation of the US Constitution.

"Under this order, babies being born today don't count as US citizens," Washington Assistant Attorney General Lane Polozola told Senior US District Judge John Coughenour at the start of a hearing in Seattle.

Polozola — on behalf of Democratic state attorneys general from Washington state, Arizona, Illinois and Oregon — urged the judge to issue a temporary restraining order to prevent the administration from carrying out this key element of Trump's immigration crackdown.

The challengers argue that Trump's action violates the right enshrined in the citizenship clause of the Constitution's 14th Amendment that provides that anyone born in the United States is a citizen.

#1  It is a stand practice here in the USA that persons cannot benefit or be rewarded for their crimes, or illegal activities.

So, granting citizenship to a person flying in on a VISA, or illegally crossing the border, timed to have a baby on US Soil. In order to then claim the reward of extended taxpayer paid stay, or citizenship, does not follow that well established legal rule.

It took a Reagan appointed judge 5 minutes to see it.

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof..."

Are you seriously claiming that the U.S.doesn't have jurisdiction over a newborn child born in the U.S.? The only exception are diplomats and their families as stipulated in Article 37 of the Vienna Convention.

#8  I can't find "legal status" of parents in the amendment. Which may very well be because when it was drafted, "illegal" immigration didn't exist.

It's absurd to assume that the U.S. has no jurisdiction over undocumented immigrants on U.S. soil. These people have to follow the laws, pay taxes and go to jail like anyone else.

#11  It's absurd to assume that the U.S. has no jurisdiction over undocumented immigrants on U.S. soil.

It is equally absurd to assume that sneaking over the border confers the rights, privileges and responsibilities of citizenship. While we expect them to obey the law, but we do not let everyone vote, for example.

As for the phrase "undocumented immigrant", that is Newspeak for illegal alien - someone who has committed a crime by entering the country without authorization. Time for a Confucian (or Trumpian) Rectification of Names!

I am not a lawyer, but I can see this coming down to what the meaning of "is" is, in reference to "under the jurisdiction of". While we expect them to obey no parking signs and other local laws, it seems to me that these visitors are still citizens of their home countries and are under the jurisdiction whatever government might exist there.

As others have noted, the Amendment in question was written to address a specific post-Civil War issue. I doubt the Founding Fathers meant it to cover a woman giving birth in the lounge at LAX while on layover during a trans-continental flight Beijing to London.

#15  "While we expect them to obey no parking signs and other local laws, it seems to me that these visitors are still citizens of their home countries and are under the jurisdiction whatever government might exist there."

The amendment doesn't say "exclusive" U.S. jurisdiction, and you can't write words into the text which aren't there. And the debates leading to the 14th amendment don't support that view either. It was clearly understood what "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" meant. The framers wouldn't have needed to exclude diplomats and their families, if ALL aliens present on U.S. soil were "not subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States (which diplomats and their babies are not, and this was discussed in detail).

The framers couldn't think of undocumented aliens (or aliens with an illegal status, if you prefer), because this category didn't exist at the time. What the framers would have thought had they known of such a category is pure speculation. The fact is, you can always change an amendment if it needs to be adapted to modern reality. But you can't read things into it that simply weren't there at the time the amendment was ratified.

But it's too early to get all in a huff about this. The case will go to SCOTUS and it's about damn time SCOTUS reviewed the Fourteenth Amendment. Let's wait to hear what they have to say about it. The authors of the Fourteenth might never have imagined illegal aliens having babies in this country so it might have to be tweaked. If we need another Constitutional amendment, or an amendment to an existing amendment, then we have a procedure for that and we will just have to follow the procedure.

If Sarah Adams is correct and we have bunch of terror cells in CONUS ready for a simultaneous attack, we will soon have enough political will to change the Constitution. Alternatively, the war with the drug cartels will be enough.

#30  The wording of the 2nd is far from clear.

It's absolutely clear. It's prefaced by Art. 1 Section 8, that Congress shall...organize and regulate the militia. In their first year they passed two Militia Acts [which is now incorporated in Title 10 USC], defining who was the militia and how the militia should arm itself [the same as a soldier in the US Army of the time] . Everything else beyond that is 'squirrel' by anyone trying to limit it.

Oil prices start to fall after Trump's statements in Davos
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Oil prices on international markets fell by an average of 1% on January 23 after US President Donald Trump's speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

As of 19:47 Moscow time, the price of March Brent crude futures fell by 0.91% to $78.28 per barrel. Prices for March WTI futures fell by 1.17% to $75.456.

At the same time, before the American leader’s speech, prices for both grades of oil fluctuated slightly.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, Trump, speaking via video link in Davos, said that he would ask the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to lower oil prices. According to him, this would allegedly help end the conflict in Ukraine. He expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that prices had not been lowered earlier.

Trump also called the U.S. oil and gas reserves the largest in the world. He plans to use them to develop the economy, make the country a manufacturing superpower, and the “capital of the world” for artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency.

The Bloomberg agency, based on the Russian Ministry of Finance data for December 2024, stated that this month, the revenues of the Russian federal budget became the highest since January 2011, despite the new tightening of sanctions. According to the publication, one of the main sources of replenishment of the treasury were oil and gas revenues.

Currently, GA/SC Gas costs us about $2.79 a gallon.
Another 67 cent drop, and we'll be at Trump's 2018 of $2.12 prices. That were seen around here in GA/SC.

Either way, we are DOWN from Biden's GA/SC high of $3.97 that were seen around here in GA/SC.

#4  March futures on oil took a tumble about 10am EST.

But as noted by others, this is a short term item.

FWIW, every $1 per barrel drop in oil prices should result in about a 2.5 cent/gallon drop in gasoline prices.

So if the WTI goes down to $60/bar (which is feasible IMO given industry capability and government cooperation), it should be about a 45 cent/gal drop in gasoline prices.

[Regnum] In the village of Russkoye Porechnoye, liberated by the Russian military, in the border area of Kursk Oblast, torture chambers set up by militants of Ukrainian formations in the basements of residential buildings were discovered. This was reported on January 23 by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.

“On January 17, torture chambers set up by the Ukrainian Armed Forces were discovered in the basements of residential buildings in the village of Russkoye Porechnoye in the Kursk region, which was liberated by the Russian armed forces,” she said at a briefing.

The diplomat specified that at least seven bodies of local residents of different ages with signs of torture were found in the basements. Zakharova added that Ukrainian fighters threw grenades at the victims.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on January 17, Russian military personnel liberated four more settlements in the border area of the Kursk region from Ukrainian forces in two weeks of January : Alexandria, Leonidovo, Russkoye Porechnoye and Kruglenkoye.

US judges rule elephants are not people, rejecting bid for release
[GEO.TV] A bid to get five elephants released from a US zoo has failed after judges ruled the animals are not people so laws on unlawful imprisonment do not apply.

Animal rights campaigners acting on behalf of elderly African elephants Missy, Kimba, Lucky, LouLou and Jambo wanted a court to free them from Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado.

The Nonhuman Rights Project (NRP) said the creatures should be moved instead to an elephant sanctuary.

But Colorado's supreme court on Tuesday ruled that only people are covered by the state s habeas corpus laws.

"Colorado's habeas statute only applies to persons, and not to nonhuman animals, no matter how cognitively, psychologically, or socially sophisticated they may be," a panel of judges ruled.

"It bears noting that the narrow legal question before this court does not turn on our regard for these majestic animals generally or these five elephants specifically.

"Instead, the legal question here boils down to whether an elephant is a person... and because an elephant is not a person, the elephants here do not have standing to bring a habeas corpus claim."

In Astrakhan, gypsies married an 8-year-old groom to a 13-year-old girl on a grand scale
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

It should be noted that the Romas (gypsies) heavily influence the culture of the Slavs of the Transcaucasus, evidenced by the wedding dance videos I have watched.

[Regnum] In Astrakhan, the Gypsy community married an eight-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl. A video of the celebration appeared online on January 23.

The children's wedding took place in a restaurant according to gypsy traditions on a grand scale. According to Russian law, registry offices do not have the right to register such marriages. The celebration was accompanied by music and congratulations.

In a video posted online, children are dancing a wedding dance.

In July, Regnum reported that in Stavropol, an 18-year-old man was facing prison for a "Gypsy marriage." A criminal case was opened against him for having sex with his 15-year-old common-law wife. They were married according to Gypsy customs, but such a union has no legal force and does not cancel Russian laws.

Progress on Hughes fire but new wild fires start
LOS ANGELES (AP); Evacuation orders were lifted Thursday for tens of thousands as firefighters with air support slowed the spread of a huge wildfire churning through rugged mountains north of Los Angeles [the 10,000 acre Hughes Wildfire], but new blazes erupted in San Diego County, briefly triggering more evacuations.

Two new blazes were reported Thursday in the San Diego area. Evacuations were ordered but were later lifted after a brush fire erupted in the late afternoon in the wealthy enclave of La Jolla near the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine. Further south, near the U.S.-Mexico border, another blaze was quickly spreading through the Otay Mountain Wilderness, home to the endangered Quino checkerspot butterfly and other unique species.

In Ventura County, a new fire briefly prompted the evacuation of California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo. Water-dropping helicopters made quick progress against the Laguna Fire that erupted in hills above the campus of about 7,000 students. The evacuation order was later downgraded to a warning.

NASA ends DEI programs that 'wasted taxpayers dollars and resulted in shameful discrimination'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] NASA has ended its diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEI) programs after all federal agencies were directed to 'terminate' the initiatives.

Staff received an email Wednesday from acting administrator Janet Petro, which said the space agency is 'taking steps to close all agency DEIA offices and end all DEIA-related contracts in accordance with President Trump's executive orders.'

The order is titled 'Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing and Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions.'

NASA's email admitted that 'these programs divided Americans by race, wasted taxpayer dollars, and resulted in shameful discrimination.'

The space agency has spent at least $22.4 million annually on such programs.

DailyMail.com had uncovered millions of taxpayer dollars were dished out for DEI data analytics and to help the agency 'embark on a venture to incorporate and deeply engrain diversity, inclusion, equity and accessibility in the culture and business.'

Petro, who is the first woman to lead NASA as its acting administrator, also urged staff to report colleagues who have attempted to disguise DEI programs with coded language.

'There will be no adverse consequences for timely reporting this information,' the email reads. 'However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
failure to report this information within 10 days may result in adverse consequences.'

(Translated) 13 Y/O Seventh-Grader Has To Flee From Berlin School; Chased By Armed Mob With Murderous Intent
[FrankfuerterAlgemeineZeitung] Violence escalated again at the Friedrich Bergius School in Berlin on Wednesday. A seventh-grader was allegedly chased by dozens of youths with knives. "We'll stab you," they are said to have shouted.

There was another violent incident at the Friedrich Bergius School in Berlin on Wednesday. A seventh-grader had to flee to a supermarket because he was being "chased" by 50 to 90 predominantly male youths from another school with knives, baseball bats and brass knuckles, according to a letter from the school.

During the pursuit, shouts were heard, "We're going to stab you," reported one parent. The hunt for the seventh-grader was preceded by a "threatening situation" against a ninth-grader (apparently a relative of the seventh-grader who was later pursued) during class time. The school administration then called the police , who only showed up with four officers and requested reinforcements.

A girl claimed that the ninth-grader had hit her, and a student from another school then threatened to "stab" the boy. The girl's boyfriend is said to have mobilized these students. The ninth-grader was taken to safety by the police, and the seventh-grader who was related to him was then pursued. The school administration also reported that the school had received a threatening letter in Arabic.

DISPUTES AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK
On Thursday, the school was guarded by the police to prevent similar excesses of violence. A police spokesman reported that there had been disputes at the school at the beginning of the week. On Wednesday, people from outside the school gathered in front of the school "to sort things out," which is why the police were called. According to the police, there was a complaint of assault.

Back in November, the teaching staff of the integrated secondary school had already drawn attention to problems with aggressive, violent and educationally disadvantaged students in an open letter. There was a "threatening propensity for violence and verbal attacks", especially on the part of the male students. Firecrackers were set off in the schoolyard, and students were afraid of being filmed on mobile phones in the toilets. In addition, filled plastic bottles had been thrown at teachers and students, the teachers wrote in the letter at the time and called for help from the school authorities.

#2  @1 I've seen German language Tweets claiming that the victim is native German, but there's been no mention of this in the MSM so far.

The fact that there was a "threat letter in Arabic" speaks for itself.

Trump roars back into office: Why US vassals are panicking
    [From RT of all places]
It’s shock and awe time for Uncle Sam’s allies in the clown car who have mindlessly gone along for the ride.

Not only is freshly re-minted US President Donald Trump reversing course at breakneck speed but, if his newly declared priorities are any indication, he seems to be headed, pedal to the metal, all the way back to the 80s.

One has to look back about 40 years to find a "simpler" time in Western society. Life was straightforward. You worked, earned a commensurate livable wage, and focused on your life and that of your family. Period. You didn’t have to dedicate bandwidth to navigating lunacy like which pronouns you should be using when you meet someone. Or whether to chop off your kid’s junk before the school demands it for his mental health and suggests you be re-educated if you object. Or whether your neighborhood soon risked looking like it was transplanted, in toto, from a foreign country. Or whether there was stuff hidden inside your food that would only make its presence known once it had latched onto your inexplicably ever-widening backside.
The writer does have a way with words.
You knew about the foreign wars, and that they were a boon to the military industrial complex, but you didn’t get the impression that the country that was being invaded was like a foster child, commanding so many resources and attention that they were considered a big reason why your own life sucked. You figured that the folks in charge at least had enough sense to put the oxygen mask on their own people first. Now, it’s like Westerners in general are just supposed to embrace the martyrdom, gasping away and accepting to make the best of it.

Americans ultimately rejected it all when they elected Trump. And if his recent executive orders within hours of taking office are any indication, he isn’t wasting any time on setting the Time Machine to a return to the pre-woke era.

With a stroke of the presidential pen, he’s now brought back the two-gender reality, deprived men of the opportunity to excel in women’s sports, and terminated government-sponsored diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. As a woman who has championed first- and second-wave feminism, the kind that ended by the 80s before being hijacked by lunacy that perverted the interests of women and minorities — it’s about damn time.

...He’s basically doing everything that he figures will make the US wealthier, from lifting the ban on Alaskan oil drilling to declaring a national energy emergency. And he doesn’t seem too interested in continuing or starting wars unless he can see a clear net return on investment for the hassle. "We will measure our success not only by the battles we win, but also by the wars that we end and, perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into. My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier," Trump said in his inaugural address.

He’d clearly rather just straight-up tax countries (even friendly ones) through his exploratory concept of an "External Revenue Service," or try to gain an advantage on the playing field through sanctions that handicap competitors, like those he just slapped back onto Cuba mere days after Biden had lifted them.
Cuba is not a competitor — of anyone, actually, except perhaps Venezuela. Cuba is an enemy.
...Meanwhile, across the pond here in Europe, and up in Canada, leaders and wannabe leaders are positioning themselves as the anti-Trump — the one who can stand up to his policies. Good luck with that. Europe literally made itself dependent on American natural gas when they cut themselves off from cheap Russian supply,
…cheap but decidedly untrustworthy, as they discovered one cold winter. So until they grow their own supply again, they’ll get to choose between two evils…
and now Trump is turning the screws and demanding that they buy even more or face tariffs. Way to stick it to Russia, guys.

Former Canadian Liberal Canadian Deputy Prime Minister and prime minister hopeful, Chrystia Freeland, says it’s a "huge advantage" that Trump doesn’t like her.

"At a time when President Donald Trump is threatening our country, it’s time to fight for Canada," she wrote on social media.
    Uh huh. You go, grrrl.
Her Liberal leadership opponent, Mark Carney, the former bankers’ banker in both Canada and the UK, World Economic Forum and Bilderberg fixture, and former chair of the Financial Stability Board that governs the global financial system, is running as an "outsider" — whose signature is literally stamped on Canada’s currency. He should add "self-aware" to his list of personal qualities.
    *snicker*
...This week’s French Prime Minister, Francois Bayrou,
    …c’est vrai…
who just managed to dodge France’s second non-confidence vote in as many months, has called for the need to "stand up" to Trump. But before even thinking of effectively confronting the US, they’re all going to have to undo the damage that they’ve done to their own countries in blindly following Washington’s screwy policies to their own detriment. And that means dismantling all the distracting, resource-consuming, wokeist globalist agenda nonsense that Trump is now sweeping into the dustbin as he moves back onto the White House.

The problem is that Washington’s allies in the Western establishment are so brainwashed in their worldview that, in the absence of their own domestic house-cleanings in favor of populist Trump-like thinking, they run the risk of Trump running circles around their countries, bringing America back to 80s style basics of success, all while they try to figure out how to escape their own self-imposed echo chamber of nonsense. And there’s not even any evidence yet to suggest that they even realize that the entire problem is them.

#3  Mind you, unlike the author - I believe that the origin of the pseudo-Liberalism's mental disease is Western Europe and not US.

#4  I'd say go back to the 50s. Before Vietnam, Woodstock, the Space race was starting, and Kennedy and King were still alive. Riots in cities are not happening. Those I've talked to loved Woodstock, who are alive today.

[ColonelCassad] The Kalashnikov Concern looks to the future.

Kalashnikov to Present Super-Maneuverable Guided Swarm Munitions in Abu Dhabi for the First Time

Kalashnikov Concern will present a new reconnaissance and strike system with guided munitions, the KUB-SM (SM stands for super-maneuverable), at the IDEX 2025 international conference and arms exhibition, which will be held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) from 17 to 21 February 2025.

The system includes both guided munitions (UB) in transport and launch containers (TPK, 14 in total) and a reconnaissance relay aircraft based on an unmanned aerial vehicle (BLA-R) in a TPK (2 in total). Both types of aircraft are launched alternately from a launcher located in an armored combat vehicle. The drones take off gas-dynamically from the TPK.

The guided munition delivers a multifactor warhead by the UB carrier to the target for its destruction. The BLA-R performs surveillance and reconnaissance of the area, as well as relaying information from the UB to the ground control station and back.

The combat armored vehicle provides accommodation for the combat crew, one UB and BLA-R ammunition set, equipment for preparing and using the ammunition set, as well as their movement on the march, when moving to a firing position and back.

The complex is designed to conduct mobile combat operations and destroy unarmored and lightly armored military equipment, elements of command posts of divisions, battalions, batteries, battalions of anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM), including vehicles with electronic warheads (RES) and manpower in personal armor protection; air defense and missile defense facilities (AD, BMD), electronic reconnaissance and electronic warfare (air defense air defense radars, counter-battery radars, ground moving target reconnaissance radars), rear support facilities, launch sites for enemy UAV systems, enemy aircraft (helicopters) outside shelters at base airfields (sites).

The KUB-SM complex ensures the combat use of super-maneuverable guided munitions at any time of the day, in simple and difficult meteorological conditions, with wind gusts of up to 15 m/s.

This is one of the main areas. Batch launch of swarm-type UAVs.Next, it is necessary to refine the systems for exchanging information within the swarm and introducing effective machine vision for automatic target destruction.

The concept itself is already actively developing, especially among the Chinese.

Astronomers Capture Rare and Eerie Black Emission on Sun
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Astronomers have captured a rare phenomenon on video — a plasma ejection from the surface of the Sun. The footage became available on January 23 on the website of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The video shows dark matter emanating from the Sun, after which it dissipates around the star.

“A very rare, beautiful and even slightly eerie phenomenon occurred today on our star,” the scientists noted in the publication.

They explained that this visual effect is produced by neutral hydrogen, which is capable of almost completely absorbing short-wavelength radiation falling on it from behind.

On January 4, scientists recorded five M-class solar flares and two more of the highest level, X. This phenomenon leads to emissions of solar plasma, the clouds of which, reaching the Earth, provoke magnetic storms on the planet.

The first flare of the highest X-class in 2025 was recorded on the Sun on January 3. Scientists noted that the energy release process was observed for 25 minutes.

'Nobody Listens to Us.' People in Donetsk Survive Without Water, Complaints Don't Help
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

On V Kontakte (Russian Facebook), some acquaintances over the years have complained repeatedly about the lack of water, one young woman saying they often are reduced to bathing using a soup ladle, the flow is so constricted. This has been going on for almost ten years now.

    by Olga Borisova

[REGNUM] Residents of Kirovsky, the longest and most densely populated district of Donetsk, gathered again on January 21 to meet with city officials and utility service representatives. Some streets in the district, especially those with multi-story buildings, have been without water for almost a month. People have to buy and carry bottles of water to their upper floors — otherwise they can’t even wash their dishes.

Living without water is no exaggeration. While in some houses (usually on the lower floors) a thin trickle appears at least every other day, in others you can't get a drop from the tap.

Residents of Kirov, Karl Marx, Gazeta Komsomolets Donbassa and other neighboring streets told journalists of the publication Bloknot Donetsk : water barely flows only in basements, there has been none in apartments since December, and appeals to authorities do not help.

"Nobody can hear us! " one of the locals exclaims in the video. "Look who's standing here: women, children, and there's still no water..."

“And nearby we have a school, two hospitals...” adds another woman.

Back in December, on the eve of the holidays, the Regnum news agency wrote that the first deputy chairman of the government of the Donetsk People's Republic, Andrey Chertkov, promised during a direct line that the situation, which had long been hopelessly catastrophic, should improve by the New Year - water will flow to the homes of Donetsk residents without interruption during the holidays.

However, the miracle did not happen.

The authorities warned residents of Donetsk and Makeyevka that they needed to urgently stock up on water. The turbid, yellow liquid, unsuitable for anything but the most basic household needs, stopped flowing from the taps of even those who, according to the schedule of the DPR's main water supply operator, were supposed to have it.

"The water supply schedule is every other day, they turn it on for a few hours, " Elena, a resident of the Kirovsky district , told IA Regnum . "But even with this schedule, the water does not reach everyone. Residents of the upper floors of multi-story buildings suffer especially. And if the elevator doesn't work, it's a disaster."

The same situation, the woman continues, is in all areas of the city. At the same time, in areas that suffered less from enemy shelling, they have at least begun to replace the pipes.

But Kirovsky, Petrovsky, Kievsky and Kuibyshevsky are not even in the plans “until the situation normalizes.”

"It is impossible to wash yourself normally, clean, wash dishes and do laundry. We go to stores separately for drinking water. Not only do we have to carry technical water, we also have to bring drinking water. And for those who have small children or sick elderly people, it is hell," says Elena.

THE SOURCES ARE EXHAUSTED, THERE IS NOWHERE TO GET WATER
Donetsk's water problems are not being solved. They will not be solved in the coming days and months, says Bloknot Donetsk journalist Alexey Rutskoy , who is actively working on this topic. He learned from his sources that Donetsk's troubles are much more serious than is commonly thought. Almost all sources from which the city received water have now been exhausted.

"Quarries, lakes, reservoirs - they are all dry, everything is exhausted. I contacted the Ministry of Construction, but did not receive a meaningful answer. We are now dependent on the Don-Donbass water pipeline, but only 20% of the water volumes that the Donetsk agglomeration needs is supplied.

This is not only Donetsk, but also a number of industrial cities around it, which were supplied by the Seversky Donets-Donbass water pipeline from the Dnieper built by Stalin. The Ukrainians blocked it, now we have a problem with water everywhere,” Rutskoy told IA Regnum .

Two dry summers and a hastily built water pipeline that supplies water only to those located near the water supply points have only worsened the problem, the journalist explains.

"Water is not supplied around the clock, the pipes rust at a Stakhanovite pace, and when water is supplied, there are breaks. There is no one to fix them: there is one team for the Kirovsky district. It seems to be no secret to anyone that in 2022, utility workers were mobilized," adds the interlocutor of IA Regnum .

It turns out that local officials really have nothing to say to the people: employees of Voda Donbassa, the city administration, and the district administration were present at the meeting on January 21, but no dialogue took place.

At the same time, in mid-January, meeting with residents of the Pobeda microdistrict — the same long-suffering Kirovsky district — the first deputy director of the Donetsk branch of the State Unitary Enterprise of the DPR "Voda Donbassa" Yaroslav Kapustin admitted that there really is only one repair team for the entire district. And the first deputy general director of "Voda Donbassa" Sergey Mokry claimed: the volumes of incoming water are really catastrophically decreasing, because "there is a problem with the sources."

In his article, Alexey Rutskoy cited the words of the meeting participants who, in despair, planned to turn to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin for help.

    PAYMENTS FOR DANGEROUS RUST
In general, Donetsk's water problems are not a month or even a year old. Back in the fall of 2024, the editorial staff of IA Regnum spoke with residents of the village of Lidiyevka, who have been living without central water supply for two years - after the destruction of the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal during the fighting.

Elderly residents of the village told how they have to survive: collecting rainwater and waiting for a “barrel” of water, which is brought by volunteers once a week.

And at the end of last summer, the situation was aggravated by the lifting of the moratorium on water supply payments introduced by the republic's authorities in the spring of 2022. People began receiving payment notices, and immediately after them, debts, which were also issued retroactively.

Residents of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Ilovaisk, Yasinovataya, Makeyevka and other cities of the DPR began to receive huge amounts of money to pay - even in those settlements where there was no water since March 2022. The agency's interlocutors then said: they are not going to pay for water that is not there under any circumstances, but they will definitely keep the bills - for future trials.

And even in the houses and apartments that were lucky enough to have running water, things are not so smooth. The water that miraculously reached the apartments of Donetsk residents through pipes that had not been repaired for a long time turned out to be a "cloudy orange liquid" that not only cannot be used for cooking or hygiene, but even for washing and other household chores.

The authorities denied this problem. Andrey Chertkov stated that the water "meets the standards of the technical regulations in an emergency situation at the exit from the filtration station." Donetsk residents themselves nicknamed the cloudy and, quite possibly, poisonous substance "Nutella."

Elena, a resident of the Kirovsky district of Donetsk, is sure that nothing will change until the Seversky Donetsk-Donbass channel is launched, and this can only happen after the liberation of Slavyansk.

"Now they promise to switch to daily supply by the hour, they try to supply from 5 to 9 p.m. It doesn't always work out. And if they switch to a daily schedule, there will be even less. Until they rebuild Seversky Donets - Donbass, the situation will not improve," said the interlocutor of IA Regnum.

Ukrainian Armed Forces on the situation near Velyka Novosilka
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] The military asked citizens to observe information hygiene, carefully assess the situation and continue to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian army is engaged in heavy fighting near the village of Bolshaya Novosilka in the Donetsk region. Measures are being taken to strengthen units, the command of the operational-strategic group of forces (OSGV) Khortitsa reported on Thursday, January 23.

It is stated that the military systematically notifies society about the progress of the defense operation within the operational zone. Exhausting battles are being waged against a superior enemy. The actions of the soldiers are aimed at inflicting maximum losses on the enemy, preventing a breakthrough of the defense and avoiding encirclement.

"The information is provided objectively, taking into account that the enemy is also carefully studying the Defense Forces' reports - information obtained from open sources helps the enemy plan and adjust its further offensive actions," the statement said.

At the same time, the command is taking measures to strengthen units, provide them with the necessary means to conduct combat, strengthen and secure the flanks. Also planned are measures for actions in case of an aggravation of the tactical situation and possible options for its development.

"The conduct of military operations is accompanied by information operations. Against the backdrop of heavy fighting, losses of personnel, and the unrestrained dynamics of war, the enemy is increasing its psychological influence both directly on personnel in the front lines and on Ukrainian society as a whole," the military warned.

According to their data, the main goal of Russian propagandists is to destabilize the public mood, disorient and undermine confidence in the military leadership and the Defense Forces. As a result, the stability of Ukraine's defenders will decrease, which will facilitate their offensive operation. The enemy uses information as a weapon, skillfully hiding behind the sources of its delivery.

"We ask you to observe information hygiene, assess the situation most carefully and continue to support your Armed Forces. Their efforts support the life of the state," the OSGV Khortytsia summarized.

It should be noted that today the speaker of the OSGV Khortitsa Viktor Tregubov stated on the air of the telethon that near Velyka Novosilka there is a risk of operational encirclement of the Defense Forces units.

"There is no complete cordon there. There is a risk of an operational cordon, but efforts are being made to prevent it, and also to prevent the Russians from blocking the approaches to the village, despite the fact that they are trying to take them under fire control," he said.

Let us recall that several days ago, analysts from the DeepState project reported that Russian troops had advanced near Velikaya Novoselka . Korrespondent.net investigated the threat of a further Russian offensive in the Velikaya Novoselka area .

    Home Front: WoT
Jaw-dropping outburst of Haitian migrant as ICE raids ramp up around the country after Trump takes office
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Haitian man with a lengthy criminal record shouted 'F**k Trump, Biden forever!' as he was arrested by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement during a deportation raid.

The Trump administration has started rounding up violent undocumented immigrants in sanctuary cities all over the country, including the alleged leader of a Haitian gang and murder and rape suspects in Boston.

The agitated Haitian migrant, who wasn't named but who has 17 recent convictions, said he 'ain't going back to Haiti' as he was placed in a police car. Fox News accompanied ICE during the roundups and shared footage of the arrests.

'Thank Obama for everything he did for me, bro!' the migrant added.

ICE officers in Boston said they also arrested multiple MS-13 gang members in the Boston raids.

'Today was a good day. Today we took several significant public safety threats out of our communities,' Patricia Hyde, ICE Boston Acting Director, told Fox News.

'Unfortunately, a lot were released by sanctuary policies. But we’re here to tell the Commonwealth and the rest of the country that we're going to find them, whether they’re released or not.'

During the roundups, ICE made one collateral arrest of an undocumented migrant.

Border czar Tom Homan had warned that collateral arrests would be a part of the ICE roundups after President Trump ordered mass deportations.

'When we find the bad guy, there’s probably others. Others that are in the United States illegally. They may not be a criminal priority but we’re not walking away from them,' he said.

VP JD Vance reacted to the Haitian migrant's outburst, writing on X: 'An illegal alien with 17 criminal convictions really hates President Trump for sending him back to Haiti.

'He's grateful to Biden for letting him come here. I'm glad we're deporting him. Do you agree or would you like him as your neighbor?'

The Boston ICE raids come as Denver, a Democrat-run sanctuary city, announced it will cooperate with the Trump administration's plans for undocumented immigrants.
Changing his mind is a wise decision, under the circumstances.
Denver Mayor Mike Johnston said the city will cooperate with ICE agents in the cases of violent criminals.

'The whole state is bound by our state law in this, which is pretty consistent in some of these practices like everywhere in the state, we don’t honor ICE detainers,' Johnston told FOX31.

'If ICE calls and says, ‘Will you hold someone for three more days?’ That doesn’t happen in Douglas County or Yuma or in Denver. A lot of these practices are similar statewide, but we think ours finds a common-sense balance of making sure we’re not having our local police doing federal law enforcement, that’s not our job, we’re not going to do ICE’s job for them.

'But if they call for information on folks we have in custody, we’ll let them know when we’re releasing them.'

Federal immigration agents started rounding up undocumented immigrants in the Denver area, following through on a campaign promise by the Trump Administration to deport migrants who have broken the law, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed.

Arrests began on Monday, when President Trump took the oath of office, and have spread throughout the state.

ICE in the Rocky Mountain State has been detaining migrants with pending criminals cases, police sources confirmed.

'ICE agents are doing their job-- the job they should have been doing for the last four years,' former Colorado Immigration Enforcement director John Fabbricatore told DailyMail.com.

'This is an all-hands-on-deck situation where they are using all the agents they have at their disposal.'

Trump's border czar Tom Homan confirmed Tuesday afternoon that deportations are happening but didn't give any details about where they were happening.

'These cases were already in the hopper. They've done the surveillance on them, they have good case notes, and they're just hitting those cases that they were not allowed to hit prior,' the former ICE director added.

Fabbricatore explained the Biden Administration had handcuffed agents from making arrests like this.

'There were these priorities that were put out that limited you, like you couldn't go after DUIs. You couldn't go after a basic drug possession. The Biden Administration made these priorities that kept you from going after criminals,' he shared.

Non-criminal migrants who have a final order from a judge to leave the country are also being picked up, although at least 85 percent of those being sought have criminal records.

'Potentially, that person may not be a criminal but they still have gone through the immigration process, seen an immigration judge and refused to leave,' Fabbricatore stated.

Law enforcement cautioned that these are not raids, meaning they aren't fishing for any person who might be in the US illegally.

Instead, they're calling this 'targeted enforcement' meaning agents have already done homework on who these people are and why they are being detained.

They also explained similar arrests are happening across the country, but they don't look like the raids everyone expected.

    Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Hezbollah closely monitoring Zionist withdrawal from southern Lebanon
And vice versa. So far the IDF is not pleased.
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Hezbollah issued on Thursday a statement which underlines the necessity of the full and comprehensive implementation of the ceasefire agreement as outlined in its terms since the 60-day period for the Israeli enemy to completely withdraw from Lebanese territories is nearing its end.

Certain leaks suggesting that the enemy intends to delay its withdrawal and prolong its presence in Leb
...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. Only one of those statements is an exaggeration....
call on everyone—foremost the politicianship in Lebanon and those pressing the agreement's sponsoring nations—to act decisively, the statement maintained.

''It is essential to closely monitor the final days of this timeline to ensure the complete withdrawal, the deployment of the Lebanese Army to every inch of Lebanese territory, the swift return of residents to their villages, and the prevention of any pretexts or excuses for prolonging the occupation.''

''Any breach of the 60-day timeline constitutes a blatant violation of the agreement, an attack on Lebanese illusory sovereignty, and the beginning of a new chapter of occupation,'' the statement added, ''This demands that the state confront it using all means and methods sanctioned by international conventions to reclaim the land and wrest it from the grip of the occupation.''

As we continue to follow developments, which are expected to culminate in a full withdrawal in the coming days, we affirm that any breach of the agreement or attempt to evade commitments under weak pretexts will not be tolerated, the statement confirmed.

Finally, Hezbollah called for strict adherence to the agreement, without concessions.

    Arabia
STC President: Coalition seeking to implement ''Syria scenario'' in Yemen
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] In an interview with Sky News Arabia, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, the president of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), launched a sharp attack on the leaders of the Islah Party,
    …the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen…
accusing them of having an inherent connection to terrorism, despite his partnership with them in the ''Presidential Leadership Council.''
Fair enough. All branches of the Muslim Brotherhood feed the excitable into nearby jihadi organizations, whether Al Qaeda, ISIS, or the local independent, while they themselves stick to politics and charity to seduce the weak-minded into thinking their Islamofascism means they are good and pious Moslems instead of slow-burn religious revolutionaries working to seduce the populace into accepting the Sunni caliphate..
Al-Zubaidi revealed that US forces are present in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
as part of an international coalition with Britannia, as well as other Saudi-led coalition countries and their armed factions, aiming to ''implement the Syrian scenario'' in Yemen.

This, he said, was to eliminate what he referred to as the ''Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
s'' and end their military operations in the Red Sea.

He also emphasized that all members of the ''Presidential Leadership Council'' agree with the ''terrorist leaders'' of the Islah Party (the Moslem Brüderbund) in their fight against Sana'a forces.

He added that they are waiting for former US President Donald Trump
...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down...
to designate ''Ansarullah'' in Sana'a as a ''terrorist organization'' due to their naval operations supporting Paleostinian resistance in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Al-Zubaidi mentioned that the ''Presidential Leadership Council'' represents a unified body in Yemen's legitimacy, but he contradicted himself by stating that each member of the Council has different political agendas, with each person backed by their own project.

He hinted that he had received promises to revert Yemen's map to its pre-unification state of May 1990, but only after the ''destruction of the Houthis'' in Sana'a.

Strip ''is not a permanent solution'', adding that peace can only be achieved by creating an independent Paleostinian state, reported Al Jazeera on Thursday.

Describing Israel's 15-month assault on Gaza as a ''war of genocide'', Gheit told the UN Security Council: ''The basis for peace can only be achieved by the realisation of the Paleostinian people of their right to an independent state on the borders of June 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.''

He said Israel's oppression of Paleostinians is ''a threat to international peace and security'' and its war ''did not stop at the borders of Gaza or Paleostine but has spilled over and its flames have reached the region''.

No serious connections to the broader community who’d get upset about them being sent away, and family and governments at the other end willing to receive them back.

Also, it’s a small move with a huge impact — with them gone, campus agitation will calm quickly.

Russian feature film 'Catherine the Great'. Trailer
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[ColonelCassad] Trailer for the film "Catherine the Great" about (unexpectedly!) Catherine the Great.

There was a TV series with Alesandrova, now there's a full-length film.

Tubi has a couple of films about Catherine the Great, one a feature length film and the other a television series, all translated to English. But, alas, the television series has only the first season.

The film releases February 20th. Trailer/video is translatable:

    Abstract:

After the era of palace coups, a new bright historical figure appears - Catherine II. Like many, she could have limited herself to the title of the emperor's wife, but with her persistence and determination, Catherine was able to prove that her place was on the throne.

At the age of 14, she learned that she was to become the bride of Peter III and the mother of the future heir. These statuses did not bother Catherine much, her cherished dream was to rule: she saw the potential of the Russian Empire and wanted to embody the ideas of enlightenment in it.

Are Catherine's ideals destined to become reality? And will her ideas turn against her?

Candace Owens Claims That Emmanuel Macron's Wife Was Born a Man
[JESSICAREEDKRAUS] Ms Owens is a very pretty, articulate idiot who craves the spotlight and so says provocative things that she may or may not believe, and has a very rich husband willing to indulge her. She is a small and relatively harmless version of that evil lady who co-founded Code Pink. But even though she once was a hot Conservative commodity, there really is little reason to pay attention to her now.

If the Border Patrol is to continue to exist, it should be made another branch of the military, greatly expanded, placed under control of the Pentagon and given enough weapons and equipment to do the job properly. Otherwise, eliminate the Border Patrol and let the Army handle it.

The Obama era, taxpayer funded units, alone, will likely have more dead and buried than alive before 2028.

    Caribbean-Latin America
At least 80 people killed in northeast Colombia as peace talks fail, official says
[FoxNews] The violence forced thousands to flee, with some reportedly hiding in the nearby mountains

More than 80 people were killed in the country’s northeast over the weekend following the government's failed attempts to hold peace talks with the National Liberation Army, a Colombian official said.

Twenty others were injured in the violence that has forced thousands to flee as Colombia's army scrambled to evacuate people on Sunday, according to William Villamizar, governor of North Santander, where many of the killings took place.

Among the victims are community leader Carmelo Guerrero and seven people who sought to sign a peace deal, according to a report that a government ombudsman agency released late Saturday.

Officials said the attacks happened in several towns located in the Catatumbo region near the border with Venezuela, with at least three people who were part of the peace talks being kidnapped.

Thousands of people are fleeing the area, with some hiding in the nearby lush mountains or seeking help at government shelters.

"We were caught in the crossfire," said Juan Gutiérrez, who fled with his family to a temporary shelter in Tibú after they were forced to leave behind their animals and belongings. "We had no time to grab our things. ... I hope the government remembers us. ... We are helpless here."

Colombia’s army rescued dozens of people on Sunday, including a family and their pet dog, whose owner held a pack of cold water against the animal’s chest to keep it cool as they evacuated by helicopter.

Defense Minister Iván Velásquez traveled to the northeast town of Cúcuta on Sunday where he held several security meetings and urged armed groups to demobilize.

"The priority is to save lives and guarantee the security of communities," he said. "We have deployed our troops throughout the entire region."

Officials also prepared to send 10 tons of food and hygiene kits for approximately 5,000 people in the communities of Ocaña and Tibú, the majority of them having fled the violence.

"Catatumbo needs help," Villamizar said in a public address on Saturday. "Boys, girls, young people, teenagers, entire families are showing up with nothing, riding trucks, dump trucks, motorcycles, whatever they can, on foot, to avoid being victims of this confrontation."

The attack comes after Colombia suspended peace talks with the National Liberation Army,
… Marxist-Leninist liberation theology guerrilla group established in Columbia in the 1960s that expanded into Venezuela. In Columbia they’re a revolutionary narco gang with political aspirations (I know, right?) fighting for territory against other narco gangs, while in neighbouring Venezuela they’re a paramilitary supporting the Maduro government. It is currently estimated to be about 6,000 members …
or ELN, on Friday, the second time it has done so in less than a year.

Colombia’s government has demanded that the ELN cease all attacks and allow authorities to enter the region and provide humanitarian aid.

"Displacement is killing us here in the region," said José Trinidad, a municipal official for the town of Convención, located in the North Santander region. "We're afraid the crisis will worsen."

Trinidad called on insurgent groups to sit down and hammer out a new agreement so "us civilians don't have to suffer the consequences that we're suffering right now."

The ELN has been clashing in Catatumbo with former members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, a guerrilla group that disbanded after signing a peace deal in 2016 with Colombia's government. The two are fighting over control of a strategic border region that has coca leaf plantations.

In a statement Saturday, the ELN said it had warned former FARC members that if they "continued attacking the population ... there was no other way out than armed confrontation." The ELN has accused ex-FARC rebels of several killings in the area, including the Jan. 15 slaying of a couple and their 9-month-old baby.

Army commander Gen. Luis Emilio Cardozo Santamaría said Saturday that authorities were reinforcing a humanitarian corridor between Tibú and Cúcuta for the safe passage of those forced to flee their homes. He said special urban troops also were deployed to municipal capitals "where there are risks and a lot of fear."

The ELN has tried to negotiate a peace deal with the administration of President Gustavo Petro five times, with talks failing after bouts of violence. ELN demands include that it be recognized as a political rebel organization, which critics have said is risky.
What on earth is a political rebel organization?
