Strip, erupted into the streets on Wednesday to protest Hamas ..always the voice of sweet reason... rule, the first such demonstrations since the end of last month.
Videos shared on social media showed the protests. Footage also showed Hamas supporters — carrying signs saying, "Beit Lahiya is with the resistance," a term referring to the terror organizations in the Strip — being thrown out by protesters.
Since late March, sporadic protests against the terror group, which has been the de facto government of Gaza for almost two decades, have taken place in the Strip, despite reports of Hamas attempting to detain and harm demonstrators, and counter to claims by the terror group that the protests are merely anti-war. Many of the protests have occurred in Beit Lahiya.
In clips shared on social media, participants could be seen holding signs reading "Stop the aggression," "We want to live in freedom," and chanting, "No to terror, yes to peace," and "Hamas out!"
Participants were also seen waving flags, including the flag of Egypt — presumably in support of Cairo’s mediation of hostage-ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas — and, in the hands of children, "We want to learn."
Clan leaders were reportedly also seen at the protest. Statements by some clan leaders were published last month defending and even supporting the protests.
Gaza has dozens of powerful families that function as well-organized clans and derive their power from controlling businesses, commanding the loyalty of hundreds or thousands of relatives. Each family has a leader, known as a mukhtar, or chieftain.
Members of the Abu Samra clan of Deir al-Balah were filmed last month killing an alleged Hamas member in the street.
Prior to last month, the last documented protest in the Strip against Hamas took place in January 2024, when Paleostinians in Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis called for an end to the war, the end of the terror group’s rule over Gaza and the release of the Israeli hostages.
Before the war, anti-Hamas protests were also relatively rare events, and were often suppressed violent mostly peacefully by the terror group.
[IsraelTimes] An earlier statement by Katz, read as signaling transfer of goods will be resumed soon, was met with intense coalition backlash; Hostage Families Forum decries his ’empty words’
Defense Minister Israel Katz said Wednesday that Israel has no intention of allowing humanitarian aid into the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip until a "civilian" mechanism is established to bypass Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... ’s control of supplies.
The minister was forced to clarify his position after his initial statement on the matter sparked uproar in the coalition for asserting that Israel would resume aid to the enclave through private firms, without clarifying that there was no immediate plan to do this.
In his first statement made in the morning, Katz said Israel would eventually resume humanitarian aid, but only through "civilian companies," to keep food and equipment from falling into the hands of Hamas.
He said Israel’s policy in Gaza includes "stopping humanitarian aid, which undermines Hamas’s control over the population, and creating an infrastructure for the distribution [of aid] through civilian companies later on."
But even signaling a general intention to resume aid was met with a furious response from members of the coalition.
National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir hit out at Katz, vowing to do everything in his power to stop the "historic mistake" of allowing aid into Gaza.
"It’s a shame we don’t learn from our mistakes. As long as our hostages are dying in the tunnels, there is no reason for a gram of food or aid to enter Gaza," Ben Gvir wrote on X.
Culture Minister Miki Zohar tweeted that the "despicable murderers in Gaza deserve no humanitarian aid" regardless of how it is transferred. "Only hellfire for the perpetrators of terror until the last of our hostage brothers and sisters return home safely," he said.
Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman, whose party is in the opposition, derided the prospective resumption of aid as "surrender."
In a clarifying statement, Katz said: "Israel’s policy is clear and no humanitarian aid is about to enter Gaza. In the current reality, no one is going to bring any humanitarian aid into Gaza, and no one is preparing to bring in any such aid."
The minister then explained that he had been referring to the more distant future when discussing the prospect of aid distribution via private firms.
"It is a shame that there are those who are trying to mislead," Katz continued.
In his earlier statement, Katz also emphasized Israel had ramped up military pressure on Hamas to agree to a deal "within the Witkoff framework," referring to the proposal of US President Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... ’s Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff.
"The pressure on Hamas to reach a deal is heavy, and the tension between it and the local population is increasing," he said, asserting that Egypt had for the first time set "the disarming of Hamas and the demilitarization of Gaza" as a condition for a deal.
He also touted Israel’s recent seizure of territory in the Strip, saying that "hundreds of thousands of residents have been evacuated and tens of percent of the territory have been added to the security zones," referring to Israel’s expanding buffer zone on the Gaza border, which now includes some 30% of the enclave.
But Katz’s insistence on continuing the war prompted criticism from the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, which lamented that Israel "is choosing to seize territory over hostages."
[IsraelTimes] Buffer zone now covers 30% of Strip’s territory; military says 350 terror operatives, including 40 top officials, killed since end of ceasefire
The Israeli military said on Wednesday that it was not dragging its feet in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip and was continuing to ramp up pressure on Hamas ..always the voice of sweet reason... to bring the terror group to agree to a hostage deal, but was not moving ahead with a major offensive just yet.
The Israel Defense Forces on March 18 resumed its attacks against Hamas with a surprise wave of Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s, ending a two-month ceasefire. Efforts to restore the truce have so far failed.
A major offensive, which is intended to defeat Hamas on the battlefield, would likely cause the ceasefire-hostage negotiations to completely collapse, according to the military. Such an offensive would also endanger the remaining 59 hostages still held by Hamas, 24 of whom are believed to be alive.
The IDF had set no deadline for when the major offensive would begin, and said it would be decided upon by the politicianship. Defense Minister Israel Katz has repeatedly threatened to launch a wide-scale offensive against Hamas if the hostages are not released soon.
Additionally, the IDF said its plans, including concerning the call-up of reservists, have not been adjusted due to a wave of letters published by reservists and veterans, calling for the release of the hostages, even at the cost of ending the war.
The military said its current operation against Hamas was intended to continue pressure on the terror group, while also preparing the ground for a potential major offensive.
The current operation was being carried out by three divisions, slowly, both to ensure the safety of troops and guarantee that hostage talks can continue, it said.
The military said it expected that as long as the operation goes on, and more territory is captured, troops would encounter more "friction" with Hamas operatives, who are currently being pushed back and largely not engaging Israeli forces.
So far, since Israel resumed its operations in Gaza on March 18, the IDF estimates that it has killed at least 350 members of terror groups, including 40 senior Hamas political officials and mid-level military wing commanders, and other prominent terrorists, including some who participated in the October 7 onslaught.
The Hamas-run health ministry claims that 1,652 people have been killed since March 18, a toll that does not differentiate between civilians and combatants.
Over 1,200 targets have been struck during that time, according to the IDF.
A major focus of recent airstrikes in Gaza has been Hamas officials, including members of the terror group’s politburo and its police force.
The IDF has identified that these strikes, along with the blockade on humanitarian aid entering the Strip, have resulted in increased pressure by Paleostinian civilians against Hamas, taking place in the form of protests in the streets of Gaza.
The military said there was no starvation in Gaza, and there was enough food to last the population for now. The IDF said it does not want there to be starvation, which would harm its legitimacy to act against Hamas.
Another focus has been on destroying Hamas’s already depleting weapon stocks. The terror group has been attempting to rearm itself, while mostly avoiding fighting with troops at this stage. The IDF said it is seeking to remove as many weapons as possible now, before entering a potential major offensive.
The military has also vastly expanded its buffer zones along the Gaza border — now comprising some 30% of the Strip — which Katz has said that the IDF will hold permanently.
In the south of the Strip, the military’s 36th Division has been establishing the Morag Corridor, cutting off Rafah from Khan Younis. In the area, the IDF has already discovered several major tunnels connecting the two cities.
In Rafah itself, the IDF’s Gaza Division has been clearing the neighborhoods of Shaboura and Tel Sultan of remaining Hamas infrastructure.
After the military completes operations inside Rafah, the IDF’s buffer zone in southern Gaza will stretch from the Egyptian border to the outskirts of Khan Younis — more than 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) away — and include the entire city of Rafah within it.
The buffer zone elsewhere on the border with Gaza has also been expanded from several hundred meters to around 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) in most areas.
Troops of the 252nd Division are currently working to expand the buffer zone in Gaza City’s eastern neighborhoods of Shejaiya, Daraj and Tuffah. The area is relatively elevated and overlooks the Israeli border communities of Nahal Oz, Kfar Aza and Sa’ad.
Half of the Netzarim Corridor, just south of Gaza City, is also being held by the IDF, up to the Salah a-Din Road. At any point, the IDF said it could recapture the western half of the corridor and bisect the Strip again.
The war in Gaza began on October 7, 2023, when some 5,000 Hamas-led holy warriors invaded southern Israel from the Gaza Strip, killing some 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages amid acts of brutality and sexual assault.
Terror groups in the Gaza Strip are still holding 59 hostages — 24 of whom are believed to be alive, and 35 of whom have been confirmed dead — including 58 of those kidnapped on October 7.
According to Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry, more than 50,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the fighting so far. The toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters.
Israel assesses it has killed about 20,000 combatants in Gaza as of January, as well as some 1,600 holy warriors inside Israel during the Hamas onslaught.
Israel’s toll in the Gaza ground offensive and military operations along the border stands at 410.
[IsraelTimes] Gaza’s Hamas-controlled civil defense agency claims Israeli warplanes struck several tents overnight housing displaced Palestinians in the southern Khan Younis area, allegedly killing at least 16 people.
“At least 16 martyrs, most of them women and children, and 23 others were wounded following a direct strike by two Israeli missiles on several tents housing displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis,” agency spokesman Mahmoud Bassal tells AFP.
There is no immediate comment from the IDF. The military has previously said it aims only at terror targets and seeks to minimize civilian fatalities, stressing that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields and fights from civilian areas including homes, hospitals, schools and mosques.

[IsraelTimes] US President Donald Trump waved off an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites planned for next month in favor of negotiating a deal with Iran to limit its nuclear program, the New York Times reports, citing administration officials and others.
According to the newspaper, Trump informed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of his decision to not support such an attack amid the negotiations with Iran when the premier visited the White House earlier this month. During their meeting, Trump announced the United States would begin negotiations with Iran on a deal to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons.
The report says Trump decided not to back the Israeli attack plans, which would have required US military support to carry out, due to internal disagreements in the administration. It adds that Netanyahu was pushing for the attack to take place as soon as next month.

"the New York Times reports"
The NYT is famous for their leakages. In this case, it may be a good thing.
Imagine a near future, when negotiations are sticky and the mad mullahs are being stubborn, Trump can say "Look, let's make a deal. Last time, I got Netanyahu to call off the attack, but I don't think I can persuade him a second time. You know how they are."
[IsraelTimes] Hamas is struggling to pay its members in Gaza, including senior terror operatives, due to a worsening cash crunch, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Citing Arab, Israeli and Western officials, the US newspaper notes Israel’s decision to block humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip, some of which Hamas took and sold. It also quotes Arab intelligence officials who say the renewed Israeli offensive in Gaza has taken out Hamas members who play key roles in doling out cash to operatives, while others have been forced to hide.
The intelligence officials add that employees in Gaza’s Hamas-led government have stopped receiving payments, while senior operatives and political figures received half of their wages over Ramadan and rank-and-file fighters get $200-$300 monthly.
The Israeli and Western officials say Hamas was facing a cash squeeze before the ceasefire and hostage release deal that took effect in January, providing the terror group an opportunity to generate revenue by taxing merchants, demanding trucks make payments at checkpoints and seizing goods to fence. Hamas also reportedly uses funds it has overseas to buy humanitarian aid to sell in Gaza, turning it back into cash.

[IsraelTimes] Britain bans entry, freezes assets of Foxtrot and its leadership, a month after similar move by US which cited criminal group’s part in thwarted January 2024 Israeli embassy attack
Britannia has sanctioned the Swedish-based Foxtrot criminal network and its leader, Rawa Majid, over "their involvement in violence against Jewish and Israeli targets in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... on behalf of the Iranian regime," UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy said Monday.
The sanctions, which the UK Foreign Office said would include travel bans and asset freezes, come a month after the US State Department slapped sanctions on Majid and Foxtrot, citing their part in a thwarted attack on Israel’s embassy in Stockholm in January 2024.
In a written statement, Lammy accused Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The video was the first recorded sign of life for Braslavski, 558 days since the off-duty soldier, a resident of Jerusalem, was kidnapped from the Nova music festival, where he was working as a security guard. His family has shared testimonies from partygoers that Braslavski rescued them amid the onslaught.
The family approved publication of a short clip from the video, with the hostage’s face blurred. Based on the content, the footage was filmed in recent weeks.
In the clip — whose contents were likely dictated by his captors — Braslasvski is heard complaining of an unspecified illness that makes his whole body itch, and appealing to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... to secure his release, asking: "Where are you?"
In the video, Braslavski also describes his general physical and mental condition as difficult, and speaks about the ongoing bombings in Gaza. Addressing Netanyahu, he demands: "Can you get me out of here?"
Last month, Sasha Troufanov — released in the January hostage-ceasefire deal that has since collapsed — said he was briefly held alongside Braslavski in Gaza, providing the first evidence of any sort that the latter was alive after his abduction.
Tami Braslavski, Rom’s mother, learned of the video from news reports and said no representative from the government had reached out to inform her of the clip before it was made public.
"I don’t even recognize my son. He has aged 10 years. This isn’t my Rom. He’s tough, and he looks terrible. If they broke Rom, they’ll break anyone," she charged.
In an interview with Ynet last month, Tami Braslavski recounted the stories she’s heard of her son taking care of people amid the onslaught, when more than 5,000 Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... -led forces of Evil invaded southern Israel, killing some 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages, amid acts of brutality and sexual assault.
Rom "had a number of opportunities to get out of there that day," his mother said, but "from 6:30 in the morning, until the moment he was kidnapped [between 2-4 p.m.], he was moving from place to place [helping people]."
"Some of them he rescued, some of them he encouraged, giving them the strength, the hope, the faith that they’d get out of there," she said, adding that "dozens" of people had reached out to her with their own personal stories from that day.
Terror groups in the Gaza Strip are holding 59 hostages, including 58 of the 251 kidnapped by Hamas-led forces of Evil on October 7, 2023. They include the bodies of at least 35 confirmed dead by the IDF.

A Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... terrorist, one of the perpetrators of a deadly terror shooting in the West Bank in January, was killed by Israeli forces near Jenin on Wednesday morning, the Israel Defense Forces said.
Mohammed Zakarneh, from the West Bank city of Qabatiya, was one of three button men who opened fire on civilians in the village of al-Funduq, which straddles Route 55, a major east-west highway used by thousands of Israelis and Paleostinian drivers daily.
The military said that members of the police’s Yamam counterterrorism unit, along with IDF troops, attempted to arrest Zakarneh, who was found to be hiding in a cave near the village of Misilyah, south of Jenin, after the Shin Bet security agency provided intelligence on his whereabouts.
During the operation, the troops exchanged fire with Zakarneh and two other button men hiding in the cave, the military said. The forces fired shoulder-launched missiles during the exchange.
Zakarneh and a second Islamic Jihad gunman from Qabatiya, Marouh Khazima, were killed. The IDF said that Khazima had been released from Israeli jail as part of the November 2023 ceasefire deal with Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... , which saw the release of 105 living hostages, and had been wanted for terror activity.
According to the IDF, troops found several weapons and other military equipment on the bodies of the slain terrorists. Several more terror operatives who were aiding the two were detained, and were found to be carrying handguns, the military said.

The other two faceless myrmidons who carried out the al-Funduq shooting, Qutaiba al-Shalabi and Mohammed Nazal, were killed by Israeli forces in Qabatiya on January 23 amid a major counterterrorism raid in the Jenin refugee camp.
While Hamas claimed the two button men as its members, the IDF and Shin Bet said they were members of the allied Paleostinian Islamic Jihad terror group.
The attack on January 6 killed off-duty police officer Master Sgt. Elad Yaakov Winkelstein and civilians Rachel Cohen and Aliza Raiz.
According to an initial IDF probe on the January attack, the terrorists, armed with assault rifles, first shot up a civilian car from close range, killing Cohen and Raiz. Their deaths were declared at the scene by Magen David Adom medics.
Then, the button men fired at a bus further away, injuring eight people, including the driver, 63, who MDA said was rushed to a hospital at death's door. Two women on the bus were in moderate condition, and at least five others were lightly hurt.
While the faceless myrmidons were fleeing, they opened fire on another car around 150 meters (490 feet) away, killing Winkelstein, according to the IDF’s investigation.
Shortly after Wednesday’s operation that ended with Zakarneh’s killing, Paleostinian suspects attacked a tourist bus near the West Bank village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, according to an IDF statement.
During the assault, the suspects hurled stones and a paint bottle at the bus, lightly injuring two American tourists. The injured women received prompt medical treatment at the scene, while IDF and police forces quickly arrived and launched a manhunt for the attackers, the military said.
Wednesday’s events took place amid Operation Iron Wall, an ongoing large-scale counterterrorism operation in the West Bank that began in January.
It was reported in February that tens of thousands of Palestinians had fled Israeli military operations across the northern West Bank — allegedly the largest displacement in the territory since the Six-Day War in 1967.
Since October 7, 2023, troops have arrested some 6,000 wanted Palestinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,350 affiliated with Hamas.
According to the Palestinian Authority health ministry, more than 900 West Bank Palestinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were gunmen killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops, or terrorists carrying out attacks.
During the same period, 51 people, including Israeli security personnel, were killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank. Another eight members of the security forces were killed in clashes with terror operatives in the West Bank.
Hammam Hashash was part of a joint Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad cell that set off two explosive devices against army vehicles in Jenin on June 27, killing Capt. Alon Sacgiu and wounding 16 other soldiers.
Hashash was killed by IDF troops in July.

[IsraelTimes] Two NGOs seek warrant against FM over military action at Gaza Strip hospital in 2024 and detention of its director; Jerusalem says top diplomat will not cut short trip
Two legal NGOs in the United Kingdom sought arrest warrants Wednesday against Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar during his visit to London, accusing Israel’s top diplomat of committing crimes in the Gazoo

"Sa’ar cannot walk freely in London while innocent Paleostinian civilians are buried under rubble. His role in the killing of Gaza’s civilians demands accountability," said Dyab Abou Jahjah, founder of the Belgium-based Hind Rajab Foundation, which filed the arrest warrant alongside the UK-based Global Legal Action Network (GLAN).
The foreign minister "has no intention to shorten his trip or to change his plans in any manner," the Foreign Ministry told The Times of Israel in response to the warrant, which was filed with the UK’s Attorney General and Director of Public Prosecutions, according to a joint statement from the two NGOs.
"The charges focus on [Sa’ar’s] role in the siege of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza," GLAN wrote on X, which it said led to "the abduction and torture" of hospital director Dr. Hussam Abu Safiyeh.
Israel detained Abu Safiya along with nearly 240 others during a raid on the hospital in northern Gaza in December 2024, alleging that Hamas was using it as a command center.
The IDF said it suspects Abu Safiya of being a Hamas member. In February, the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, a Paleostinian rights group representing Abu Safiya, claimed he was subject to repeated physical abuse during his ongoing detention in Israel.
Launched in September 2024, the Hind Rajab Foundation has used social media posts by Israeli soldiers, officers and reservists in an attempt to have them arrested for alleged war crimes when they travel abroad.
During what was termed a "private visit" to London on Tuesday, Sa’ar met with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy for discussions that addressed Iran’s nuclear program, as well as negotiations to free hostages from Gaza, according to an Israeli readout.
The nature of the visit could impact the success of the arrest warrant requests, as under British law, Israelis are protected against such action if they are on an official trip.
There have been previous attempts to see Israeli officials arrested during trips to the UK, notably against then-foreign minister Tzipi Livni in 2009 when, ahead of a planned visit, a British court issued a warrant for her over alleged war crimes committed by the IDF during a three-week conflict in Gaza. In the end, Livni did not go through with the trip, and the threat of an arrest kept her out of the UK until authorities in 2011 granted automatic immunity to all Israelis on official visits to the country.
Britannia changed the law to make it more difficult to obtain arrest warrants against Israeli figures by requiring the consent of the Director of Public Prosecutions. The amended law helps those visiting Britannia in an official capacity. Those making trips of a personal nature are left vulnerable.
In 2015, Livni, by then an opposition member of Knesset, again visited the UK to attend a women’s summit. Anti-Israeli activists applied to have an arrest warrant issued, as the visit could be considered personal. To preempt the problem, Livni arranged to meet with senior UK government officials, enabling the Knesset speaker to approve her travel as an official visit, the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported at the time.
The following year, Livni was back in the UK to attend a conference and British police summoned her for a "voluntary interview" over her involvement in Israel’s 2008 war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The request was reportedly dropped after an exchange between Israeli and British diplomats that granted her diplomatic immunity.
In 2015, former defense minister and IDF chief of staff Shaul Mofaz was nearly arrested when he visited London. At the time, Mofaz was greeted at the airport by two Israeli diplomats. His arrest was avoided after swift action by the Israeli Embassy in London and the British Embassy in Israel.
[IsraelTimes] Hamas operatives reportedly arrested by Lebanese army in Palestinian refugee camps, amid exposure by Amman of alleged Muslim Brotherhood terror cell said to have trained in Lebanon
Two Hezbollah members were killed in separate Israeli dronezaps in southern Leb ...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. Only one of those statements is an exaggeration.... on Wednesday, the military said.
The first strike, in southern Lebanon’s Qantara, some seven kilometers from the Israeli border, eliminated a member of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force, the Israel Defense Forces said.
The second strike targeted another operative in the town of Hanine, some five kilometers from the border.
Lebanon’s health ministry reported that one person was killed in the strike on a vehicle in the area of Wadi al-Hujair, near Qantara, and a second was killed in Hanine.
The IDF also said Wednesday that it had struck the Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon overnight. Lebanese media had reported a series of strikes near the town of Ramyeh, close to the Israeli border.
Meanwhile,
...back at the alley, Slats grabbed for his rosco... Lebanon’s health ministry reported Wednesday that a 17-year-old had succumbed to wounds sustained the previous day in an Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... on south Lebanon’s Aitaroun. The death brought the toll of that strike to two, after the IDF said a commander in Hezbollah’s special operations unit was killed in the strike.
Under the terms of a November 27 ceasefire, which ended more than 13 months of war, Hezbollah was required to vacate southern Lebanon, while Israel was permitted to act against what it deemed to be imminent threats from the terror group. Israel, which was required to withdraw its forces from southern Lebanon, has held on to five areas it described as strategic.

Israel invaded Lebanon in September in a bid to stop Hezbollah’s attacks, which had displaced some 60,000 northerners.
Hezbollah, whose leadership was decimated in the war, has since lost ground in Lebanon’s domestic politics. In January, the terror group acquiesced to the election of US- and Saudi-backed Lebanese President Joseph Aoun after a two-year vacancy in the post.

LEBANESE ARMY ARRESTS HAMAS OPERATIVES Meanwhile,
...back at the alley, Slats grabbed for his rosco... the Saudi al-Hadath news outlet reported Tuesday that the Lebanese army had arrested Hamas operatives in Ain al-Hilweh and Nahr al-Bared, Paleostinian refugee camps situated, respectively, in north and south Lebanon.
The report, which was not immediately confirmed by the Lebanese army, said that a senior Hamas official had requested a meeting with the head of Lebanon’s military intelligence.
The reason for the arrest was unclear. It came after Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Tuesday spoke with Aoun about an alleged yearslong plot by Jordanian members of the Moslem Brüderbund — a Hamas ally and Jordan’s largest opposition group — to attack the Hashemite Kingdom with self-made rockets and drones.
Amman, which on Tuesday announced the arrest of 16 suspects in the case, said they had received training and funding in Lebanon.
Lebanese Army intelligence agents arrested Hamas members at the Ain el-Helweh, Tyre and Nahr al-Bared camps in connection with the plot unveiled in Jordan, military sources told Al-Arabiya’s Al-Hadath channel on Wednesday.
“The Lebanese Army will not allow any involvement in sabotage in Jordan or any Arab country,” the sources said.
“The Lebanese Army will not allow any tampering with the security of the Lebanese south,” the sources added, noting that “a Hamas leader has requested an appointment from the army’s Intelligence Directorate.”
Jordan's intelligence service on Tuesday announced the arrests of 16 people for allegedly planning to target national security and sow "chaos."
Authorities said the suspects were arrested for "manufacturing rockets using local tools as well as tools imported for illegal purposes, possession of explosives and firearms, concealing a rocket ready to be deployed, planning to manufacture drones, and recruiting and training operatives in Jordan as well as training them abroad." Jordanian officials later said that some of the suspects hd received training in Lebanon.
Jordan’s government said the accused have political affiliations and belong to what it called “unlicensed groups,” referring to the Muslim Brotherhood. Jordan’s judiciary dissolved the Muslim Brotherhood in 2020.
[IsraelTimes] Announcement comes a day after 100,000 protested against Israel in Dhaka; Muslim-majority country removed text in 2021 but maintained its non-recognition policy on Israel
Bangladesh has restored an "except Israel" inscription on passports, local media reported Sunday, effectively barring its citizens from traveling to Israel.
Israel is a flashpoint issue in Moslem-majority Bangladesh, which does not recognize it.

"The director general of the department of immigration and passport was asked to take necessary measures to implement this change," local newspaper The Daily Star quoted Afroze as saying Sunday.

The airstrike, which took place in the northern part of Puntland, was part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the activities of ISIS affiliates operating in the region. AFRICOM confirmed the success of the strike and stated that no civilians were harmed in the operation.
The US has maintained a presence in Somalia for years, providing support to the Somali government’s fight against terrorist organizations, including both al-Shabaab ... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... and ISIS. The US military regularly conducts airstrikes and drone missions in the country to target these groups, often in coordination with Somali forces.
In a show of solidarity, US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences... expressed his support for Somalia’s ongoing efforts to combat ISIS and other turban groups. On Sunday, the president praised the Somali government’s commitment to defeating terrorism, reaffirming the US’s partnership with Somalia.
Somali forces have been steadily increasing their operations against ISIS in recent months, especially in the Puntland region, where the group has been increasingly active. Puntland has served as a base of operations for ISIS in Somalia, with the group using the region to train fighters and carry out attacks against both Somali security forces and civilians.
The US military’s ongoing efforts are part of a broader international strategy to curb the influence of ISIS in the region. While ISIS has lost significant territory in the Middle East, the group has found a new base of operations in parts of Africa, including Somalia, where it seeks to exploit local conflicts and instability.
Puntland, which declared itself an autonomous state in 1998, has faced its own challenges in managing security within its borders. While it has had some success in resisting al-Shabaab’s influence, ISIS has managed to carve out a presence, despite efforts by the Somali government and international partners to suppress the group.
[Independent] Donald Trump’s counterterrorism czar Sebastian Gorka claims Americans who don’t support the president’s anti-immigration agenda and deportations policy are "on the side of the terrorists."
He suggested advocates for Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran father living in Maryland who was mistakenly deported to a brutal prison in his home country, could be prosecuted for "aiding and abetting."
"It’s not left and right, it’s not even Republican or Democrat. There’s one line that divides us: Do you love America, or do you hate America? It’s really quite that simple," Gorka told Newsmax on Wednesday.
“We have people that love America, like the president, like his cabinet, like the directors of his agencies, who want to protect Americans. And then there’s the other side that is on the side of the cartel members, on the side of the illegal aliens, on the side of the terrorists,” he added. “And you have to ask yourself: Are they technically aiding and abetting them? Because aiding and abetting criminals and terrorists is a crime in federal statute.”
Gorka, who serves as a deputy secretary to the president and the White House senior director for counterterrorism, is tasked with developing the Trump administration’s approach to combating domestic terrorism.

And finally, here's a link to the Rantburg article on Tuesday, but my comments got scrubbed at midnight on Wednesday, so I've included the comments below from what I've managed to save:
Political Violence Is Now Ingrained in American Youth
[The Ingraham Angle 4/14/25, the piece begins the program and lasts 13 minutes]
This time the Angle is about how political violence has become mainstreamed in American youth today.
Laura starts with a picture of Luigi Maglione, and an odd photo of an unidentified guy who killed someone.
A clip is played of Taylor Lorenz [has been a journalist for many left wing publications, like the Times, the Post, the Beast, and apparently Substack] She’s a 40 year old immunocompromised vegan who’s had many recent online harassment attacks including threats of death and violent rape, and has had her share of problems with stalkers and “swatters” as well.
By an act of the Lord, it seems, she has been engaged now for 10 years to Christopher Mims, an author and a technology columnist for the Wall Street Journal. (I wonder if this might be something like the Stalwell situation.) Laura continues with how Taylor has bragged about murderers, like those displayed on the screen, of how cool they are, including the CEO healthcare murderer. “Why he’s a famous handsome young revolutionary, smart, and the sort of guy that any girl would want to become involved with.” In a clip she laughs off the healthcare murder as “this is America, as if we don’t lionize murderers, as if we don’t give then Netflix shows,” and is glad that some journalists are now finally “standing up and speaking out about the anger that we all feel.”
Laura tosses in a clip [The Daily Show/Comedy Central 12/11/24] of a comedian who says that the recent google search for “conjugal visit” is now trending. Laura appreciates that we now know more about the guy who recently threatened Trump, rather than, for example Thomas Crooks. See:
The rest of the show follows in the same vein, including the Tesla attacks (one perpetrator is now a folk hero), the break-if of Governor Shapiro [PA]’s residence where the place was touched, and Trump comes in to suggest the perpetrator is just a whack job. I’m 7 minutes into the program I haven’t reviewed anything beyond this point but I don’t really care to and this is enough.

Finally, the Rantburg article cited in comment #4 had my comments on the 9/17/24 Rantburg article which have been scrubbed, and if anyone is interested in this, it would be great if some member of the club can put these in a comment, otherwise let me know and I can type them in from my hardcopy, but that will take over 20 minutes to reenter and proof.
[ISSUESINSIGHTS] In February, a bunch of centrist Democratic officials gathered in ritzy Potomac, Maryland, to complain that the party had become too radicalized and needed to ''get out of elite circles and into real communities (e.g., tailgates, gun shows, local restaurants, churches).''
The response of rank-and-file Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... ? ''Go left, young gender-fluid person!!''
This week, RealClearPolitics reported on a poll from Survey USA that found 74% of Democrats either want the party to be even more ''progressive'' (50%) or like it just the way it is (24%). Fewer than one in five wants the party to move toward the center.
Yes, some are trying to keep sanity alive.

Gavin Governor Hair Gel Newsom ...mayor of San Franciscoas it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of Californiaas it transforms itself into Cinderland... — who desperately wants to be president — has been pretending to be a moderate by inviting conservatives onto his podcast and saying things such as ''the Democratic brand is toxic.''

He's also said that Democrats have ''sunk'' their own party.
Democratic New Mexico District Attorney Sam Bregman is running for governor against the ''radical Left.''
But this isn't the 1990s, and there is no interest or appetite among Democrats in reviving Bill Clinton ...former Democratic president of the U.S. Bill was the second U.S. president to be impeached, the first to deny that oral sex was sex, the first to have difficulty with the definition of the word is... 's ''New Democrat'' corpse.
The party is now irretrievably in the grip of those toxic, party-sinking radical leftists. In the Survey USA poll, there wasn't a single demographic group where even a plurality felt the party should be more moderate.
More than half of young, urban, college-educated, well-paid whites — the very people who make up the ''elite circles'' and will never venture into ''real communities'' — want the party to move further to the left.

[PJ] I'm beginning to think Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen isn't playing with a full deck, and if I were one of his constituents, I'd be thinking long and hard about re-electing him.
First, there are just under 6.3 million people living in Maryland, but this guy is so focused on just one that he doesn't really seem to be doing what the state's voters elected him to do.
Second, the one person he's focused on is not only affiliated with a foreign terrorist organization, but he's also not even a U.S. citizen and has a history of violence.
Third, Van Hollen wasted a whole lot of taxpayer money today when he boarded a plane to El Salvador to go attempt to meet with and free this man — who, again, is a Salvadoran citizen — and smuggle him back into the United States.
Fourth, El Salvador's president and several top government officials were literally in Washington, D.C., for at least three days this week, and, as far as I know, refused to meet with Van Hollen as per his request (though based on the date of the statement put out by Van Hollen's office, it looks like he kind of made the request at the last minute).
Plus, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele sat in the Oval Office and said that he would not be sending this so-called "wrongly deported Maryland father" back to the United States. The Supreme Court even ruled that the United States does not have to bring this man back into our country, only facilitate his return should El Salvador choose to do so.
Anyway, as he promised, Van Hollen skipped out on 6.3 million Marylanders today and hopped on a plane to Central America, where he intended to meet with the Salvadoran government and Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the non-U.S. citizen in question.

yes no Visa
At initial hearing Garcia pleaded that a rival El Salvador gang wanted to kill him and the judge ruled that he could not be deported to El Salvador. Had the USA deported him to another country, there would be no problem for nutzoid Judge Xinis to rule about. Of course, no other country would be likely to accept Garcia unless they had made a deal with El Salvador to deport him there a day or two after receiving him. So there is that.

So for the last couple weeks, people building Kilmor into a disadvantaged father just trying to make it by selling papers at a kiosk when an ICE agent noticed copies of Vanidades and scooped him up, were full of horse shit.
You know, because if there were one fitting this description, the usual suspects would be banging the bells like Lars Ulrich.
And to top it off, Kilmor isn't just a soldier, he is a fookin NCO, at least.
And senator clownshoes here goes 'dont you know who I am?' and puts his thumb print on it.
Brilliant. I hear Disney is hiring the like minded.
FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - The U.S. Attorney’s office said two Mexican nationals were charged on Wednesday after around 180,000 rounds of ammunition were found in their vehicle.
On March 26, Fremont County deputies conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in Canon City, according to officials.
Officials said deputies searched the vehicle, finding around 150 boxes of .308 ammunition and about 30 boxes of 7.62 ammunition. They said each box was labeled as containing 1,000 rounds.
41-year-old Caesar Ramon Martinez Solis and 24-year-old Humberto Ivan Amador Gavira of Mexico were both charged with unlawful possession of ammunition by an alien admitted under a nonimmigrant visa, officials said.
“We.’re naught but simple and unassuming tourists, Yr Honorness, here to enjoy your native traditions like range day, not ammunition smugglers for the cartels. Truly!”
They said this case was part of Operation Take Back America.

Could they be smuggling ammunition to the drug cartels south of the border? Or is that a supply for a really good range day? I have no idea about such things.
[Federalist] Over the past week, the University of Tennessee and its starting quarterback, Nico Iamaleava, staged a very public and very destructive contract negotiation that ended in Iamaleava’s departure from the program. In 2023, Iamaleava made national news by signing a reported $8 million contract with the Vols before he even graduated high school. While multimillion dollar NIL deals have become commonplace in college football and basketball recently, his deal was unprecedented at the time.
Apparently, Iamaleava and his family felt that, after his first season as a starter wherein he finished 8th in the SEC in passing yards, the contract he signed just two years prior did not provide adequate compensation. There were reports he was asking for $4 million. Tennessee clearly couldn’t justify paying him more based on his performance, and because of the barrage of anti-trust lawsuits lost by the NCAA and the conferences over the last few years, the school had no ability to enforce the contract that was in place.

[X] It’s hard to overstate how dystopian and threatening Canada has become. An update from longtime Canadian government official Maxime Bernier.
Wiki- Maxime Bernier PC (French pronunciation: [maksim bɛʁnje]; born January 18, 1963) is a Canadian politician who is the founder and leader of the People's Party of Canada (PPC). Formerly a member of the Conservative Party, Bernier left the caucus in 2018 to form the PPC. He was the member of Parliament (MP) for Beauce from 2006 to 2019 and served as a Cabinet minister in the Harper government.
[Breitbart] The Trump administration on Monday informed U.S. chipmaker Nvidia that exports of its powerful H20 chips to China, and several other nations, will have to meet new licensing requirements.
Nvidia said meeting the restrictions could cost the company up to $5.5 billion.
Nvidia was informed the new licensing requirement, which will remain in place indefinitely, “addresses the risk that the covered products may be used in, or diverted to, a supercomputer in China.”
The H20 chip is not the most powerful product in Nvidia’s inventory – but, until now, it has been the most powerful chip Nvidia could legally sell to China.
The Biden administration restricted the sale of more advanced chips to China in 2022. Nvidia worked around the restriction by reducing the capabilities of its popular H100 chip until it fell below the export limit and created the H20, a product sold only to China.
China used the H20 to create DeepSeek, a new artificial intelligence (AI) that rattled world markets when it was introduced late last year because it offered high-level performance at a fraction of the price. According to its creators, one reason DeepSeek was developed so cheaply was that its physical architecture employed those inexpensive Nvidia chips.
The sensational debut of DeepSeek prompted Chinese tech companies to order more than $16 billion worth of H20 chips. Nvidia accordingly stepped-up production and now fears it will have a backlog of inventory it cannot sell, since there is no demand for the H20 outside of China. The unique nature of the H20 could alleviate that problem somewhat, since some of the frozen export inventory could be H100 chips that have not yet been “throttled” down to the lower H20 specifications.
A bigger long-term problem is that losing access to the H20 could prompt China to develop a comparable chip domestically, probably through electronics titan Huawei, potentially causing Nvidia to lose its lucrative Chinese market for good. Nvidia posted $17 billion in sales to China last year.
“Banning the H20 makes little sense to us. H20 performance is low, well below already-available Chinese alternatives; a ban essentially simply hands the Chinese AI market over to Huawei,” analyst Stacy Rasgon told investors Wednesday.
The left-wing New York Times (NYT) on Wednesday noted the politics of the Nvidia situation are complicated, as leading Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts is strongly in favor of restricting H20 sales to China.
Warren wrote a letter to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on Monday urging restrictions on H20 sales without “further delay” because she felt even the throttled-down chip sold to China was powerful enough to jeopardize U.S. national security, and because U.S. companies are having difficulty sourcing all of the artificial intelligence chips they need.
Nvidia’s position on the matter also seems delicate, as CEO Jensen Huang invested considerable effort in blocking export restrictions on the company’s chips. Just one day before the new restrictions were announced, the White House applauded Nvidia for committing $500 billion to manufacture AI equipment in the United States.
Nvidia shares were down seven percent on Wednesday after news of the export restrictions broke. The Nvidia H20 was not the only electronics export to China that was restricted on Monday; another company, Advanced Micro Devices, also slipped seven percent on Wednesday due to export restrictions, while chipmakers like Qualcomm lost two to three percent of their value.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Government officials have revealed which states are autism hotspots as the US faces a 'relentless epidemic' of cases.
A CDC report released earlier this week revealed rates of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have increased to one in 31 children in the US, a staggering increase from one in 150 just two decades ago.
Experts also suggested the true rate nationwide could be even higher due to patchy screening and limited access in rural areas.
Health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr abruptly called a press conference Wednesday claiming Americans 'have to recognize we are doing this to our children and we need to put an end to it.'
He also announced a series of studies looking into 'environmental toxins' he believes could be fueling the surge and promised 'there will be an answer for the American people' by September.
The CDC's new report shows while one in 31 American children are autistic, the condition is even more prevalent in certain states.
In California, for example, one in 19 eight-year-olds in 2022 were diagnosed as autistic, adding up to just over 800. The researchers also suggested the true nationwide rate is closer to California's than to one in 31.
Pennsylvania followed closely behind with one in 21 or 335 children, and Wisconsin recorded a rate of 1 in 26.
And eight states reported rates higher than or equal to the national average for 2022, the latest data available.
However, the report looked only at certain monitoring sites in the US, each of which only focused on a small portion of the state, so the true numbers for each state are likely significantly higher.
The researchers also only looked at children ages four through eight, so it's unclear how many older children and teens were diagnosed.
It's unclear what exactly is behind a surge in autism diagnoses, but Kennedy has suggested environmental toxins like mold, pesticides, food additives, medications or ultrasounds could all be to blame.
He also estimated only 10 to 20 percent of cases are likely due to doctors getting better at diagnosing it.
Scientists and advocates for people with autism have criticized Kennedy's position as harmful and misleading.
Mainstream research describes autism as a complex condition largely shaped by genetics and multiple other contributing factors.
The CDC report looked at autism rates in 16 monitoring sites across the US to predict the overall figure for the rest of the nation.
Researchers focused on four-to-eight-year-old children living in those areas in 2022.
Kids were counted as having autism if they had a diagnosis or were receiving special education for it.
Four-year-olds who didn't have a diagnosis but showed signs of autism were labeled as 'suspected' cases.
States included in the analysis included Arizona, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah and Wisconsin.
The study also included a site in Puerto Rico and data from two cities in Texas, Austin and Laredo.
Data for California was focused on one county in metropolitan San Diego, which included 15,212 eight-year-olds. The autism rate added up to one in 19 or 807 children.
The CDC experts also suggested in the report the actual nationwide autism rate may be closer to California's than to one in 31.
This could be due to current data not capturing the entire country, as isolated areas may lack testing.
Pennsylvania's data was tied to one county in suburban Philadelphia and included 7,066 children. Of those, 335, or one in 21, had an autism diagnosis.
The state with the third highest rate, one in 26, was Wisconsin. Using data from eight counties throughout the southeastern part of the state, researchers found 1,078 out of 28,098 eight-year-olds had an autism diagnosis.
Data for Texas was focused on Austin and Laredo, which have 980,000 and 258,000 residents each, respectively.
Austin recorded a rate of one in 51 children, which added up to 85. In Laredo, one in 103 eight-year-olds had an autism diagnosis. This added up to 47 out of 4,856.
Though RFK Jr has pointed to environmental factors, the CDC experts said some states may have more cases due to increased resources.
The researchers wrote: 'Research has not demonstrated that living in certain communities puts children at greater risk for developing ASD.
'Differences in the prevalence of children identified with ASD across communities might be due to differences in availability of services for early detection and evaluation and diagnostic practices.'
They also noted some states like California have more testing centers and other states may not cover autism testing in insurance plans.

Kennedy said at a press conference in Washington that autism is a preventable disease caused by environmental factors, with possibilities including mold, air, medicines, and the increase in the average age of parents. “We have really good genetic markers now, and they provide a vulnerability. But those genetic markers alone are not going to dictate your destiny. You need an environmental toxin,” he said.
More studies coming!

[Fox] The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom unanimously ruled Wednesday that a woman is someone born biologically female, a move that now excludes transgender women from the legal definition of a woman.
[EuropeanConservative] Two months ago, the English podcast host Louise Perry hosted David Betz, a professor at King’s College, London, and an expert in civil wars. The topic? "The Coming British Civil War." Betz argues that the United Kingdom now has all the traditional hallmarks of a society on the verge of violent civil conflict. He mentions the collapse of faith in British institutions, the two-tier justice system, Islamic radicalization, and the polarization wrought by official multiculturalism, among other factors.
The YouTube version of the interview has had nearly 200,000 views—so many that Telegraph columnist Tim Stanley noticed, writing in his April 3 column that events both in Britain and on the European continent (he cites a French court banning Marine Le Pen from running for the presidency) are driving things to a reckoning.
Writes Stanley:
Every conspiracy theory is confirmed, and without a democratic outlet for anger—seeing their aspirations limited and being too poor to emigrate—where else will a militant faction of angry whites go but to violence?
Nearly every educated English person I know under the age of forty is seeking to emigrate, having lost hope that their country has the wherewithal to pull out of its cultural and economic crisis. In Oxford recently, an American student told me, "If the ruling class here openly hated the British people, it’s hard to know what they would be doing differently."
Spending a week in France last month, I recalled the scandalous open letter that 20 retired French generals and 1,000 active duty service members released in 2021, warning that their country was headed to civil war unless the government acted firmly against Islamic radicals in the suburbs, and turned away from divisive policies driven by so-called "anti-racism."
In a number of private conversations with ordinary French people—this was before the Le Pen verdict—I brought up the Betz interview (none had heard about it), and asked them if they foresaw civil war coming to France. Nearly all of them said yes. They said so with an unnerving sense of calm, as if they accepted it as a matter of course. When I complimented one couple on their country, and told them that one day I would like to live in France, they responded in unison, "No!" Stay in Hungary, they said; you’ll be safe there.
You would never know from the mainstream media that this sort of sentiment is bubbling among the population of Europe and the UK. In his interview with Perry, Betz says that many people suffer from what he calls "normalcy bias"—that is, the belief that such a thing cannot happen here. Oh, but it can!
After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1992, violent civil conflicts broke out in some of the former Soviet republics, once the majority non-Russian populations ceased to fear the Communist yoke. They weren’t formal civil wars, with two armies lined up against each other. These were often spontaneous, undirected spasms of orgiastic violence—exactly what Prof. Betz says civil war in the UK and in Europe would be like. He also says that given mass media, especially social media, a civil war sparking off in one country would likely trigger them almost instantly in others.
If you want an idea of how hideous this kind of thing can be, read the testimonies in Secondhand Time: The Last Of The Soviets, a riveting oral history of the fall of the USSR. Ordinary people opened up to writer Svetlana Alexievich with their traumatic stories of what life in the 1990s and 2000s was like in the ruins of the Soviet state.
Russians, Armenians, and Tajiks living in the ethnic republics found that their longtime friends and neighbors turned on them overnight.
This is what can easily happen when the law disappears, and people feel at liberty to act out their darkest passions. It’s human nature: back to blood, or religion, or class solidarity. Don’t think for one second that Europeans are not like the Soviets: the history of the Holocaust reveals that Germans, Poles, and others turned viciously on their Jewish friends and neighbors when permitted to. The skull is always just below the skin.
J.D. Vance angered many European elites in his Munich speech when he warned them that the greatest security threats their countries face are within—and that their attempt to deny them by squelching free speech was only making matters worse. This—the danger not of war with other nations, but of civil war—is precisely what he was talking about.
In that blockbuster podcast interview, Prof. Betz says that "normalcy bias" is especially strong in Britain, which, unlike other European countries, has been relatively peaceful. Today, though, there is no reason to believe that the past predicts the future. Many of the cultural traditions that kept the English peaceable have dissolved in the face of modernity—especially multiculturalism.
"Multiculturalism has drained our nation’s social capital. It’s encouraged factionalism and polarization, both of which are up massively," Betz says. "The belief of people in pre-political loyalty has been shattered by the triumph of identity politics in our society. So as a result of which, we see that nativist sentiments are increasingly manifested in a narrative of downgrading or displacement that is one of the most powerful causes of civil conflict."
"Downgrading" and "displacement" are technical terms used in civil war scholarship to describe the feeling among native peoples that they are losing ground in their own country to rival groups. This is what the French writer Renaud Camus means by his concept of the Great Replacement.
This did not start in Britain with the current Labour government, says Betz, but the Starmer administration’s mad policies—in particular, its attempts to squelch criticism of the Pakistani rape gangs scandal—are a textbook example of how to provoke civil war. The Starmer government is destroying its own legitimacy through "failure to secure the country, the failure to secure its borders against what can only be described as a large-scale border raid, and the failure to protect children, the most vulnerable people in our society from the most extraordinary and grotesque predation on very large scale."
What’s happening in Britain is happening all over western Europe. Alas, the professor thinks it’s too late to stop civil war in his own country. What about the rest of Europe? If Betz is right about the likelihood that civil war in one European country would likely set it off in others, that question might be in vain. If so, then history will record that the great villains of Europe’s 21st-century civil wars will not be the natives, or the Muslims, or the migrants, but rather the very social and political elites who spent decades assembling the tinder for this bonfire. The most important thing to remember about Globalist Western Elites is that are just as psychotic as their "transgender" pets.

We have a lot of close friends from Blighty who suffer from the same problems as a number of Americans, "If it doesn't effect me right now then I don't have to worry about it." They don't want to think about the horrors that aren't immediately visible.
It's only a matter of a few months before the string breaks.

EU made sure they disarmed their population first (less Switzerland). More like to come here as the Deep State players decide to go full Hail Mary on retaining power.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A keffiyeh-clad attendee at a pro-Palestine fundraiser in Michigan vowed that people at the event are willing to fight and die to bring down the 'American empire.'
A resurfaced video shared by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) shows a man at the Stories for Liberation event in Dearborn Heights on February 7 called for the United States to be brought down.
The event, hosted by the Palestinian Youth Movement at Newora Cafe, was a poetry night and raffle fundraiser to 'strengthen the steadfastness of the people of Gaza.'
Dearborn Heights - as well as the neighboring city of Dearborn - have some of the highest populations of Muslims in the United States.
Dearborn was dubbed the U.S. 'Jihad Capital' by The Wall Street Journal and made headlines last year when protesters at a pro-Palestine rally chanted 'death to America.'
The video showed the attendee promising to work towards and even sacrifice themselves to end America.
'We do feel like change needs to come, because change must come. And in the form that it must come is that this empire, the American empire that's been hurting our people since the beginning, the imperial Western powers that have been hurting our people since the beginning, they must fall,' the man said.
'And inshallah, inshallah, they will fall. And my message to people of Gaza and oppressed people across the world is that there are people here, both young and old, who are going to be willing to fight and are willing to put their lives and everything they can on the line to bring these empires down. Because they must come down.'
The alarming message sparked immediate backlash online, with some calling for the federal government to investigate his claims.
'This guy is speaking calmly & clearly & the lady next to him had that Squeaky look in her eyes. TRUST he means what he’s saying people,' actor Michael Rapaport said.
'I’ll never get used to the hypocrisy of the people calling for the fall of America while living in America - particularly the ones that moved here,' said another.
A third person said, 'I have such a tough time understanding this. How do you live in America, benefit from everything it offers, but then want it to fall? Why not just go live in a country that has the qualities you desire?'
'These people are dangerous hateful idiots,' added a fourth.
Even those who said they are pro-Palestine slammed the man for his beliefs claiming he is hurting the movement.
'You're going to get Dearborn blown up. We're with you on stopping our Country from being complicit in genocide, but the stand you're taking is making it a no choice situation,' one person said.
'We don't want your ideology or Israel's. We want to restore the Constitutional Republic.'
Donald Trump won Michigan in the 2024 election after attending a campaign event with Dearborn Heights Mayor Bill Bazzi and local Imam Belal Alzuhairi in October.
'We, as Muslims, stand with President Trump because he promises peace, not war,' Alzuhairi told the crowd of a few thousand, who cheered loudly.
'The bloodshed has to stop all over the world. And I think this man can make that happen. I personally believe that God saved his life twice for a reason.'
Many voters in Dearborn refused to vote in the primaries because residents are fiercely divided over the war in Gaza.
[FoxNews] Abouzar Rahmati pleaded guilty to conspiring to act and acting as an agent of the Iranian government in the US without prior notification to the attorney general
A naturalized U.S. citizen living in Great Falls, Virginia, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to working with Iranian government and intelligence officials on their behalf in the U.S. as a contractor for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) between 2017 and 2024.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) said 42-year-old Abouzar Rahmati pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiring to act and acting as an agent of the Iranian government in the U.S. without prior notification to the Attorney General.
Rahmati previously was an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) 1st Lt., a branch of the Iranian Armed Forces, from June 2009 to May 2010. The IRGC is a designated terrorist group by the U.S. government.
Betcha he neglected to mention that on his visa application and his naturalization papers, given it was just long enough for intense spy training…
Court documents show that from at least December 2017 through June 2024, Rahmati worked with Iranian intelligence operatives and government officials on their behalf in the U.S.
During that period, Rahmati met with Iranian intelligence in Iran, communicated with Iranian authorities using a cover story to hide his conduct, obtained employment with an FAA contractor with access to sensitive, non-public information about the U.S. aviation sector, and obtained and provided open-source and non-public materials about the solar energy industry in the U.S. to intelligence officers.
The DOJ said Rahmati offered his services to Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... in August 2017 through a former colleague who was a senior Iranian government official who previously worked at the country’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security.
Rahmati traveled to Iran four months later and met with intelligence operatives and government officials, the DOJ said. He also agreed to gather and provide Iranian officials with information about the solar industry in the U.S.
When he returned to the U.S. in early 2018, Rahmati obtained private and open-source materials related to the U.S. solar industry, then provided them to the office of Iran’s Vice President for Science and Technology.
While working as an FAA contractor in the U.S., Rahmati downloaded at least 175 GB of files, including sensitive access-controlled FAA documents relating to the National Aerospace System (NAS), NAS Airport Surveillance Radar systems and radio frequency data, the DOJ said.
Rahmati stored the files on removable media, which he took to Iran in April 2022 and provided to government officials, according to the DOJ.
He also provided additional information about solar energy, solar panels, the FAA, U.S. airports, and U.S. air traffic control towers to his brother living in Iran in April 2022, the DOJ added, so his brother could provide the files to intelligence officials on Rahmati’s behalf.
Rahmati is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 26, and he faces a maximum of 10 years in prison for acting as an agent of a foreign government, and up to five years in prison for conspiracy.
Given his ISLAMIC religious cult allows for lies, deceptions, murder, rape of infidel kids and slavery of anyone that is not of their cult. Why was a former Islamic Revolutionary Guard Lt. allowed in such a key air travel position?
BTW: I noted he worked/Spied for Iran during the TDS years of the DC Swamp and thru the O'Biden Admin years. And was only removed, once MAGA took some resemblance of control in DC.

Given the bio described above and the length of time he was visible for examination by a number of federal government screening mechanisms, this wan't a hard find. Why did it take so long, or was it just too deep in the keyword referral backlog of NSA/FBI/NCTC agents busy looking for J6 and TDS trivia?

[Regnum] The Federal Security Service (FSB) has published footage of the detention of a native of Central Asia for preparing a terrorist act in Pyatigorsk. The corresponding video was presented on Wednesday, April 16, by the Public Relations Center.
The video shows the man preparing for the crime, including choosing a canister at a hardware store, before showing footage of his arrest.
During interrogation, the detainee stated that he had come to Pyatigorsk to earn money, after which he met members of an international terrorist organization banned in Russia on the Internet and joined it.
Security forces detained the man earlier that day, April 16. He planned to commit a terrorist act in one of the leisure centers, and then flee to Syria to take part in military operations.
At the same time, FSB officers detained a Ukrainian agent who was planning to commit a terrorist attack against a deputy of the People's Council of the Lugansk People's Republic. The resident of Lugansk cooperated with Ukrainian intelligence, was trained in sabotage activities, and also equipped caches with explosives and explosive devices.
Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:
[ColonelCassad] Former Kursk Region Governor Alexey Smirnov has been detained. Law enforcement officers came to his home this morning.
According to Mash, Vladimir Lukin, former CEO of the Kursk Region Development Corporation, testified against him. He was previously arrested in connection with the theft during the construction of fortifications in the Kursk region. Both Lukin and Smirnov were associated with the Ivanovo region. Preliminary, they could have participated in the theft of state funds from the housing and utilities fund there.
* * *
Of the 15 billion rubles allocated from the federal budget for the defense of the Kursk region, about 200 million rubles were stolen, writes 112.
According to a media source, the corruption scheme was as follows: money was transferred to shell companies that won fictitious tenders, after which artificial conditions were created for non-fulfillment of contracts, which were then terminated, and the companies disappeared with the prepayment.
As has been said before, the case of theft of money during the construction of fortifications in the Kursk region will be long-running and will not be limited to contractors alone.
In fact, the case is identical in content to similar cases in Ukraine, such as the theft of money during the construction of the "Yatsenyuk wall" and the theft of money during the construction of fortifications to the west of Avdiivka and in the Krasnoarmeysk area, where retreating Ukrainian troops were surprised to discover that some of the fortifications existed only on paper.
One people.
P.S. We are waiting with interest to see what other names will emerge in this case.
I am sure that if you start digging in neighboring Bryansk, you can also find a lot of interesting things there.
Former Kursk Region Governor Alexey Smirnov has been arrested for two months in a case of fraud in the construction of protective structures in the region. This decision was made by the Meshchansky Court of Moscow on April 16.
"The investigator's motion to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention for Aleksey Borisovich Smirnov, accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, for two months has been granted," the message on the Telegram channel of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow says.
It is noted that the court refused to satisfy the petition of Smirnov and his lawyer to choose a more lenient measure of restraint for the accused, not involving detention.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, law enforcement officers detained Smirnov, as well as his former deputy, Alexei Dedov. The former governor faces up to 10 years in prison.
The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk reported that Smirnov and Dedov were detained in connection with the theft of 1 billion rubles allocated for the construction of fortifications on the border of the Kursk region with Ukraine. The defendants led members of an organized group and, together with the management of the Kursk Region Development Corporation, organized the theft of budget funds.
According to the Telegram channel "112", the former CEO of the company "Kursk Region Development Corporation" Vladimir Lukin testified against the defendant. At the moment, he is also under arrest.
[FoxNews] APT29 hacking group is believed to be connected to Russian intelligence services
A Russia-linked hacking group unleashed a new "advanced phishing campaign" targeting European diplomats with invites to fake wine tasting events, according to a report.
Check Point Research said the APT29 group is trying to "impersonate a major European Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send out invitations to wine tasting events, prompting targets to click a web link leading to the deployment of a new backdoor [malware] called GRAPELOADER."
"This campaign appears to be focused on targeting European diplomatic entities, including non-European countries’ embassies located in Europe," the cybersecurity firm said in an advisory, noting that the emails with malicious links included subject lines such as "Wine tasting event (update date)," "For Ambassador’s Calendar" and "Diplomatic dinner."
The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said last year that APT29, which also goes by the names of Midnight Blizzard, the Dukes, or Cozy Bear, is "a cyber espionage group, almost certainly part of the SVR, an element of the Russian intelligence services."

[Regnum] Ukrainian soldiers and mercenaries who were surrounded on the territory of the St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery in Gornal, Kursk Region, do not want to surrender because they came "to hunt people." This was reported on April 16 by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, Viktor Vodolatsky.
Vodolatsky: Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers surrounded in Gornal do not want to surrender because of human hunting
"We will have to, of course, destroy the terrorists who are surrounded in the monastery and do not want to surrender. It is a pity for the historical and cultural value, but the criminals must be destroyed," TASS quotes him as saying.
The deputy added that after the liberation, the shrine will be restored to preserve the memory of the ancestors who once built the monastery.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on April 15, a source in the Russian security forces reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers who captured the Gornalsky Monastery refuse to surrender. Ukrainian servicemen have placed mortars and artillery guns on its territory.
According to the source, separate groups of the 82nd separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to escape from the monastery territory. In addition, one of the officers from the group of paratroopers of the 80th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in early April began to negotiate with Russian servicemen about the surrender of those who are in the monastery, but the negotiator was killed by his fellow soldiers.
On April 15, Vodolatsky said that mercenaries from Colombia and several other countries were surrounded in the monastery — about 300 soldiers in total. He emphasized that they do not want to surrender because they know what awaits them for punitive actions against civilians. The deputy said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers have lost more than one life there.
The monastery's resident, military priest Hieromonk Melety, reported on April 12 that Ukrainian soldiers were selling icons and other items stolen from the Gornalsky Monastery. At the same time, the monastery's main relic, the Pryazhevskaya Icon of the Mother of God, found in 1792, had been saved from there in advance.
According to the channel, a total of 300 Ukrainian army servicemen and foreign mercenaries have barricaded themselves in the monastery.
The Gornalsky St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery, captured by Ukrainian forces, is located in the Sudzhansky District on the border with Ukraine. In early April, it was surrounded by the Russian army. Russian Armed Forces fighters reported that mortar and artillery crews of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were on the monastery grounds.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, one of the Ukrainian officers in the monastery planned to negotiate with Russian fighters in order to surrender. His fellow soldiers dealt with him cruelly. They refused to negotiate.
The day before, on April 15, it became known that separate groups of the elite 82nd separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to escape from the territory of the monastery, since the Ukrainian side is suffering significant losses.
It is noted that during the work with the Kursk residents evacuated from the Sudzhansky district, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation established new evidence of the atrocities committed by Ukrainian formations.
“A resident of the Kolmakov farm told the investigator that in January 2025, servicemen of the armed formations of Ukraine killed three members of her family who were hiding in the house,” according to a message published on the Telegram channel.
The department added that the necessary evidence has been collected, and forensic examinations and identification of bodies are also being conducted.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on April 14, investigators established the fact of crimes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces against residents of the village of Lebedevka in the Kursk region. It is noted that in February 2025, Ukrainian formations dropped an explosive device from a drone on four civilians, as a result of which three were killed and another was injured. A case of a terrorist act was opened.
The day before, Petrenko reported that in November last year, in the village of Goncharovka in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces killed a civilian. Ukrainian soldiers burned his house and beat him with rifle butts for a long time, forced him to his knees, and threatened to shoot him. He died from his injuries.

[Regnum] The special services prevented the preparation of a coup d'etat in Syria, which was being prepared by officers of the former army. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs Anas Khattab on April 16.
"We have thwarted the plans for a coup that were being prepared by officers of the overthrown regime that is now a thing of the past. This was possible thanks to the efforts of our armed forces and people," SANA reports him as saying.
It is noted that the operation to suppress the coup was coordinated by both the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defense of Syria. It was also decided to create a department responsible for pursuing criminals through increased coordination with other security services.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on December 8, 2024, former President of the Republic Bashar al-Assad resigned as head of state and left the country after the successful offensive of opposition groups on Damascus. He received political asylum in Russia. The head of the new government was Ahmed al-Sharaa.
On March 6, clashes broke out in Syria between Assad supporters and the forces of the new government. The clashes took place in Latakia and Tartus, after which the government sent in troops. Three days later, clashes began in the port city of Baniyas. According to the Kurdish television channel Rudaw, at least 532 civilians had died in the conflict as of March 8.
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov noted that Moscow wants to see the Syrian state stable and prosperous. He pointed out the need to ensure stability in the country, given the general explosiveness of the Middle East. Instability in one state in the region can cause a chain reaction in neighboring ones, the Kremlin representative emphasized.

[Regnum] Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have carried out six strikes on energy infrastructure facilities in four regions of Russia. This was reported on April 16 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
On April 15, as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a 35 kV high-voltage line was de-energized in the Belgorod Region, leaving about 17,400 residents of the Grayvoronsky District without power. On the night of April 16, a UAV attack on a 110 kV substation led to a power outage for more than 4,600 consumers in the Krasnoyarsk District.
On April 15, two strikes on power facilities were recorded in the Bryansk region: a 35 kV substation was damaged, and power lines were torn off. This left residents of the village of Podyvotye in the Sevsky district without electricity.
In Kursk Oblast on the same day, a UAV strike resulted in the shutdown of a 35 kV power line. On April 16, the Sivash wind power plant in Kherson Oblast was hit. As a result of the drone attack, a transformer caught fire, and the power of the plant decreased by 30 MW.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, during the previous 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also carried out six strikes on Russian energy infrastructure. Objects in the Bryansk, Kherson and Kursk regions were attacked.
On March 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the proposal of his American counterpart Donald Trump for a moratorium on attacks on energy facilities between Russia and Ukraine for 30 days. The Russian leader immediately ordered the Russian Armed Forces to cease attacks, and they neutralized seven of their UAVs, which at the same time were flying to attack energy infrastructure in the Nikolaev region.
The head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, publicly supported this decision. However, already on the night of March 19, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked an energy facility in the Krasnodar region and since then have regularly attacked Russian energy infrastructure, violating the moratorium.
Russia, despite the actions of the Kiev regime, has not yet resumed strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. On April 15, when asked by journalists when the moratorium would end, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov promised to report this later.
The end date of the moratorium on strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities will be announced later. This was stated at a briefing on April 16 by the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov.
He was asked to clarify from what hour exactly the moratorium on strikes on energy facilities would begin.
“We will keep you informed until I am ready to inform you of the decision made,” Peskov replied.
The Kremlin spokesman stressed that Kyiv de facto did not adhere to the moratorium.

[Regnum] A strong magnetic storm has begun on Earth. This was reported on April 16 by meteorologist and candidate of technical sciences Evgeny Tishkovets.
"Two huge solar prominences reached the Earth and hit the magnetosphere. The cosmic impact caused a powerful magnetic storm, which will last intermittently until Thursday morning and could seriously affect the health of weather-sensitive people," Tishkovets wrote on his Telegram channel.
The magnetic disturbance will last for 24 hours, its peak was on the morning of April 16 — level G3 and G2 — strong and medium storm. G2 and G1 — medium and weak storm — are expected on the night and in the morning of April 17.
Tishkovets said that this configuration of the interplanetary magnetic field is favorable for the polar lights.
"The highest probabilities of Aurora in recent months have been set for the night from Tuesday to Wednesday and the night from Wednesday to Thursday. Aurora is possible even in mid-latitudes," the meteorologist said.
He added that a deterioration in shortwave radio communication conditions cannot be ruled out.
As reported by IA Regnum, a less powerful magnetic storm was recorded on April 5. The level of magnetic disturbances reached 5.67 units. This level is higher than weak and slightly lower than average.
As Vladimir Kuznetsov, Director of the Pushkov Institute of Terrestrial Magnetism, Ionosphere and Radio Wave Propagation of the Russian Academy of Sciences, previously told Regnum News Agency, a magnetic storm is accompanied by a change in atmospheric pressure. Therefore, people who depend on it may experience a deterioration in their health. But the negative impact of magnetic storms should not be exaggerated.

[REGNUM] The echo of Middle Eastern conflicts sometimes reverberates in other regions in the most unexpected way. This time it was “heard” in Europe, where law enforcement officials reported the uncovering of a large-scale network of illegal supplies of components for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The shadow scheme that served the interests of Lebanese Hezbollah covered half of Europe: the components that were identified alone would have been enough to create an entire air force. However, as subsequent events showed, not everything came to the attention of the authorities.
SECRET PATHS
European law enforcement first noticed suspicious movement of components for UAV production in mid-2024, when a suspiciously large surge in demand for aircraft modeling items was recorded in Catalonia, Spain.
The demand was generated by Lebanese and small companies established in the Middle East and Africa two to three years ago. This led law enforcement to believe that they were dealing with an organized Hezbollah scheme. Further “test purchases” only reinforced this conviction.
Over the next six months, Hezbollah liaisons were arrested not only in Spain, but also in France, Germany, Belgium and the UK. However, as it turned out later, the participants in the scheme included not only Lebanese Shiites, but also several Christians from EU countries, as well as three Turks.
Following a tip-off from the detainees, caches were subsequently discovered in several cities in Italy and France, where cargo ready for shipment was stored. The Turkish “weapons depots,” which several defendants had talked about, turned out to be empty.
However, even what was found was enough to stir the public. Among the confiscated items were large quantities of electronic guidance systems, propellers, gasoline and electric engines, as well as materials for the manufacture of airframes and wings.
The seized components would be enough to assemble several thousand drones capable of carrying explosives.
Of course, most of them would most likely have “burned up” in their attempts to penetrate Israel’s air defense system, but they would have overloaded it, opening the way for missile strikes.
MANY DIFFERENT DRONES IN SERVICE
Hezbollah's interest in UAVs was not unexpected. Although the movement has long used drones for reconnaissance work, the active use of UAVs in other local conflicts (particularly in Nagorno-Karabakh) has shown their high effectiveness and forced the leadership to develop its arsenal.
The movement met the 2023 Gaza conflict fully armed and actively used attack drones against the Israelis.
Today, Hezbollah has at least five UAV models in its arsenal, not counting the home-made FPV drones. For example, the heavy DR3 drones, converted from Soviet Tu-141 Strizh: the movement has at least several dozen of them.
True, due to its large weight and impressive dimensions, the DR3 requires large launchers that are visible from the air. In the conditions of active Israeli intelligence, Hezbollah prefers not to risk the equipment.
Much more frequently used were UAVs of the Ababil family (in particular, the Ababil-T) - pro-Iranian forces have been familiar with them since the Second Lebanon Campaign (2006) and have actively used them for strikes on Israeli territory, as well as after the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.
True, the weak point of such UAVs is their modest range (100-120 km). Therefore, almost nothing has been heard about the launches of the Ababil recently: from Hezbollah's new positions in the border area, it is no longer always possible to "reach" the targets of interest to them in Israel.
Also in use are the Iranian-made Shahed-136, Karrar and Mirsad. However, since their production is not localized in Lebanon, Hezbollah received most of the units from Iran through semi-legal supplies.
Their use is most often tied to major actions by the pro-Iranian "Axis of Resistance", such as joint "retribution operations".
In total, Hezbollah has carried out at least several dozen massive UAV strikes on Israeli territory, as well as a couple of targeted operations. For example, strikes on the port of Haifa, where the headquarters of elite naval units is located (November 2024), and on the Glilot base used by military intelligence (August 2024).
And in October 2024, Lebanese Shiites gave the Israeli authorities a slap in the face by attacking the home of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's family in Caesarea with a drone. Although the prime minister himself was not harmed during the action, Hezbollah showed that it is capable of reaching the country's top officials even with a small force.
"GENTLE PROBING"
There is another interesting side to the “drone black market” scandal: Israeli intelligence agencies were involved.
Mossad received information about suspicious shipments from Europe as early as the spring of 2024 – several months before the incident in Catalonia – and tried to use its own operational capabilities to defeat the underground.
Moreover, the exposure of such a large-scale network would make it possible to reach Lebanese field commanders coordinating the supply of components for UAVs to the Middle East, thereby damaging Hezbollah’s combat capability.
However, Israel decided to start not with the European countries where orders were placed and cargo was assembled, but with Turkey, through which one of the caravan routes allegedly passed and where cargo ready for delivery was stored.
There was indeed reason to suspect Ankara of secretly helping Hezbollah, especially given the fact that Hamas emissaries were already active on Turkish territory. The allies in the Gaza conflict could well have been working together.
Israeli intelligence sent a team of specialists into the country whose job it was to gather information about “individuals and companies from the Middle East.” It was important for Tel Aviv to understand how comfortable Hezbollah was here and what leverage it had over local authorities.
However, the attempt to carefully probe Turkey turned into a scandal. After the arrest of an informant from among local officials, the group of Israeli spies was exposed and captured by Turkish law enforcement.
Ankara considered the incident the beginning of a "spy war" with Israel and refused any cooperation on the supplies. The agents involved in the mission received prison sentences.
Perhaps it was the Israelis' haste that meant that by the summer of 2024, when law enforcement was searching for Hezbollah caches all over Europe, nothing criminal was found at the Turkish sites. They could have been emptied in advance, covering their tracks.
Moreover, as Operation Northern Arrows in Lebanon later showed, the opening of European warehouses did not spoil the playing field for Hezbollah too much. The movement actively used UAVs, including homemade ones, to strike advancing Israeli units and the territory of the Jewish state.
The number of drones launched daily by the Lebanese surprised even the Israeli generals. Everyone wondered where Hezbollah had managed to obtain so many components in such a short time.
True, no one dared to publicly voice the idea that the “black market in UAVs” ultimately fulfilled its tactical task.

[REGNUM] Exactly one hundred years ago, on April 16, 1925, a large-scale terrorist act shook Bulgaria. It was organized by the Military Department of the Bulgarian Communist Party (BCP).
It is paradoxical that the day before, the Presidium of the Executive Committee of the Comintern, based in Moscow, declared that the paramilitary unit of the BCP should be closed down, checked and rebuilt, and directly condemned the terrorist activities of the Bulgarian comrades.
However, the shout from the capital of world communism did not achieve its goal. The explosion in the St. Nedelya Cathedral in Sofia took the lives of a total of 213 people. Among them were many military personnel who had come to the funeral of retired General Konstantin Georgiev. Three days before the terrorist attack, he was shot by a militant from the military department of the BCP.
But the bulk of the victims were ordinary citizens. The members of the Bulgarian government, almost all of whom were present at the ceremony, by a coincidence did not even receive serious injuries.
The terrorist attack of a century ago was not an act of unmotivated violence. In Bulgaria, there was actually a civil war, largely inspired by Soviet Russia.
And General Georgiev, the head of the paramilitary Military Union, who had more than one dead communist on his account, turned out to be a legitimate target in this war, and the explosion of an Orthodox cathedral was a justified means.
But in order to understand the reasons for what happened, it is necessary to move from 1925 to 1923.
HOW THE "KORNILOVS" DEFEATED "KERENSKY"
In June 1923, the Bulgarian military carried out a military coup, removing the government of the Agricultural People's Union (ZNS) led by the popular leftist politician Aleksandar Stamboliyski from power. The prime minister himself was killed.
If we draw analogies with Russia, then our analog of the right-wing Bulgarian putsch was the speech of Lavr Kornilov in August 1917. The ZNS were roughly equivalent in ideology to the Socialist Revolutionaries, and Stamboliysky turned out to be someone like Alexander Kerensky.
But there are two differences. Firstly, Bulgaria was still ruled by a tsar ( Boris III had been on the throne since 1918 ). Secondly and most importantly, the Bulgarian military and the right-wing politicians who stood behind them turned out to be stronger than their "Kerensky", who paid with his life for his weakness.
Moreover, unlike the Russian Bolsheviks, the Balkan communists took a neutral position in the confrontation between the Kornilovites and the Socialist Revolutionary farmers. The Sofia party press described this confrontation as a struggle between the urban and rural factions of the bourgeoisie.
But unlike 1917, there was already such a global player in the world as the Communist International (Comintern) with its headquarters in Moscow. And Moscow was unhappy with such self-elimination of the Balkan comrades.
"THE UNIFORM OF THE COMMANDER OF THE WORLD REVOLUTION"
The 3rd extended plenum of the Comintern on June 23, 1923, at the instigation of Karl Radek, an active comrade of Leon Trotsky, reproached their Bulgarian colleagues for failing to take advantage of a favorable opportunity for armed action.
"Every mass party is obliged to take risks and fight even with the fear of defeat. Even if it is defeated... it will show the working masses that it is the center of the struggle around which they can unite," Radek said.
In fact, over the head of the BCP, the Comintern called on Bulgarian workers to rise up to fight the "White Guard coup". This epithet, by the way, is not far from reality, since the white emigration from Russia in Bulgaria assisted the local right.
The Bolshevik leaders perceived the events of 1923 in Europe as a new wave of world revolution. They were most inspired by the events in Germany and Bulgaria. In relation to the former, it was believed that it was generally on the threshold of a socialist revolution.
Trotsky was especially enthusiastic. The People's Commissar for Military and Naval Affairs clearly did not benefit from the introduction of the NEP and the reduction of the Red Army that had won the Civil War. A coalition of Grigory Zinoviev, Lev Kamenev and Joseph Stalin was already forming against him.
According to the doctor of historical sciences Alexander Vatlin, the “troika” could not allow “Trotsky to be dressed in the uniform of the commander-in-chief of the forces of world revolution.”
Moreover, the process of establishing diplomatic relations between Soviet Russia and Western countries was beginning, and provoking political upheavals in them was becoming counterproductive.
According to the Russian historian Ilya Suzdaltsev, Trotsky's opponents in the Comintern "did not strive to carry out the revolution to the extent that was stated in official documents." Therefore, the German direction was assigned to individuals who successfully failed it.
Bulgaria is a different matter. Christian Rakovsky was responsible for Balkan affairs for the Bolsheviks from the moment the Comintern was established in 1919. A very well-informed American journalist working in post-revolutionary Russia, Louis Fisher, reported that in 1923 Rakovsky was removed from the leadership of the Ukrainian SSR and sent into diplomatic “exile” to London because of his rapprochement with Trotsky.
AN ADVENTURE THAT ENDED IN DISASTER
Nevertheless, Moscow placed its bet in Bulgaria on Rakovsky’s former colleagues in the Balkan Communist Federation (which became part of the Comintern), Georgi Dimitrov and Vasil Kolarov.
Thanks to their efforts, the Central Committee of the BCP at the end of the summer of 1923 took a course towards preparing an armed uprising.
The rebellion began on the night of September 19-20 and provoked the peasantry to anti-government actions. The epicenter of the uprising was the northwestern part of Bulgaria. Stubborn battles between the rebels and government troops continued for several days, but without the support of the townspeople, the rebels were doomed. Together with the remnants of the peasant detachments, Kolarov and Dimitrov evacuated to Yugoslavia.
The rebels suffered up to 10,000 casualties, while the government forces suffered 600. Many left-wing activists suffered from the wave of repression that swept across the country. General Georgiev's Military Union made a major contribution to it.
The Bulgarian communist leaders who fled Yugoslavia moved to Vienna, where in October 1923 the Foreign Committee of the BCP was created. It advocated for the continuation of the armed struggle. The Comintern also contributed to the consolidation of the radical opposition forces in Bulgaria. On February 20, 1924, in Moscow, representatives of the foreign structures of the Bulgarian communists and the ZNS, overthrown by the military, signed an agreement on the creation of a joint Revolutionary Committee.
EXPORT OF REVOLUTION IS CANCELLED
Rakovsky, by the way, had very warm relations with the leaders of the Agricultural Union during their time in power. He also contributed to the rapprochement of the positions of the Bulgarian communists with the Macedonian autonomists. These nationalists advocated the secession of Macedonia, which was close in language and culture to Bulgaria, from the Yugoslav Kingdom (where non-Serbian peoples did not have any autonomy at that time).
The plans for a new uprising in Bulgaria focused on a Yugoslav military invasion against the backdrop of escalating tensions over Macedonia. However, the Yugoslav invasion expected in the spring of 1924 did not take place. Great Britain, which was not interested in an interstate crisis in the Balkans, played a significant role in its cancellation.
Moscow, which at that time had diplomatic relations with London, had itself lost interest in exporting the revolution. On March 13, 1924, the Politburo of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) stated that the Bulgarian revolutionary movement should rely exclusively on internal forces, since assistance from the USSR was impossible. This turn coincided with the weakening of the positions of Trotsky's supporters in the leadership of the Bolshevik Party and the Comintern.
"NOT LEFTISM, BUT COURAGE"
The Foreign Committee of the BCP was clearly annoyed by this turn of events. Kolarov recalled two years later: "Having gone through fire, we became bold to the point of recklessness. Bomb, poison, execution - this is our new psychology, is this leftism? This is a demand of the revolution."
In May 1924, an anti-Moscow coup d'etat took place in the Bulgarian Communist Party. Contrary to the position of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the RCP (b), the Bulgarian communists, at an illegally held conference, took a course on preparing a new uprising for the autumn of 1924. This decision was inspired by the Foreign Committee and the Balkan Communist Federation.
From this moment on, the Military Organization began to develop rapidly within the party. An officer, a veteran of the World War, Kosta Yankov, became its head. Thanks to his energetic actions, the party acquired structures for intelligence, counterintelligence, subversive activities, and a wide network of partisan detachments (chet). The number of the military organization grew so quickly that its scale became comparable to the entire party.
The rapid growth in the number of members of the BCP's combat wing was stimulated by the protest sentiments that engulfed the lower classes after the brutal suppression of the September Uprising.
The growing activity of the Bulgarian underground fighters inspired the Soviet security agencies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Their analytical materials once again gave hope for the success of the armed uprising.
This is probably what the instigators of the "left turn" in the BCP were trying to achieve. Meanwhile, the leaders of the Bulgarian communists were sending Moscow bravura projects to seize state power against the backdrop of the "growing crisis of the bourgeois-landlord government" under Tsar Boris III.
But then unforeseen circumstances intervened.
HOW THE "BLACK PROFESSOR" TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE REDS' FAILURE
At the beginning of 1925, the Bulgarian authorities stepped up the persecution of the BCP, which had been formally banned since September 1923. This led to the Military Organization of Communists being effectively uncontrolled. It increasingly began to use methods of individual terror.
Pro-government militants also resorted to terror against left-wing activists. The streets of Bulgarian cities became a place of action for the Red and White Brigades. In mid-March 1925, the authorities almost openly began preparing for mass repressions of unreliable citizens.
In such circumstances, Yankov's militants decided to destroy the entire "White Guard" government with one blow in the St. Sophia Cathedral. However, after their main goal was not achieved, martial law was introduced in Bulgaria, and the revolutionary underground was routed.
From then until the Soviet troops entered the Balkans in 1944, the left forces were in an unenviable state. The red "globalists" sought to give new impetus to their cherished dream - world revolution - on Bulgarian soil. And this led to the weakening of the socialist movement and the almost unhindered drift of the country towards the Nazi bloc.
The right turn became inevitable immediately after the events of April 16, 1925. One of those who survived the terrorist attack was the then Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Professor Alexander Tsankov.
A former social democrat, he had long ago "moved to the right." Tsankov actively participated in the June 1923 coup. Then, already as prime minister, he suppressed the September uprising and gave the go-ahead for General Georgiev's "white terror." After the explosion organized by the communists, the "black professor" sanctioned a new round of repression.
And in 1931, Tsankov created the openly fascist party "People's Social Movement", which influenced the entire pre-war policy of the country. NSD in tandem with the "Union of Bulgarian National Legions" lobbied for Bulgaria to join the Anti-Comintern Pact of Germany, Italy and Japan, for an ever closer alliance with the Third Reich and for entering the war on its side.
Today, a century after those events, Bulgaria is the focus of attention of the new International. Only if the red "globalists" were burning with ideas of world revolution and dictatorship of the proletariat, then modern globalists - liberals impose on Bulgarians the rejection of traditional spiritual values, economic ties and political institutions. A century ago, the strength of the Communist International was undermined by the change in the foreign policy course of Soviet Russia, now the liberal-globalist European Commission is forced to compete on the periphery of the EU with the nationalist course of the new US administration.

[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Thomas Steven Sanders, a convicted child murderer whose federal death sentence ...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead... was commuted by Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity.... in December 2024 through his autopen, has been indicted for first-degree murder by a Louisiana grand jury.
Sanders was originally sentenced to death in 2014 for the 2010 kidnapping and murder of 12-year-old Lexis Roberts of Las Vegas.
He had taken Lexis and her mother, Suellen Roberts, on a trip to the Grand Canyon, during which he murdered Suellen in Arizona and then brought Lexis to Louisiana, where he killed her in Catahoula Gay Pareeh.
Despite his federal conviction and death sentence, Biden commuted Sanders' sentence to life imprisonment without parole as part of a broader move affecting 37 of the 40 inmates on federal death row.
Now, the state of Louisiana is seeking to impose its own justice.
A Catahoula Gay Pareeh Grand Jury indicted Sanders for the state-level murder of Lexis Roberts.
District Attorney Bradley Burget announced that his office will seek the death penalty , emphasizing that Biden's federal commutation does not affect state prosecution, KALB reported.
''Biden's action to commute the federal death penalty will have no effect on the state prosecution of Sanders,'' Burget stated per The Democrat.
Ooooooh, snap!
Thomas Steven Sanders is the third individual granted clemency to end up back behind bars.

Given, even the Liberal Media and the DNC both knew "The Big Guy", had SERIOUS Mental competency issues. How could any use of the Auto-pen be valid?
So, when will the Auto-pen signatures be properly investigated?

[NY Post] Van Hollen looks like a stoopid asshole after the two (2!) protection orders against Father-Of-The-Year Illegal are revealed Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the alleged MS-13 gang member who was wrongly deported to El Salvador last month, was a member of the criminal organization with the street name "Chele," newly released documents revealed.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi shared additional evidence Wednesday afternoon to support President Trump’s claims that Abrego Garcia is a member of the notorious international gang.
A past proven and reliable source told cops with the Prince George’s County police that Abreago Garcia is an active member of MS-13 with the Westers clique in March 2019, according to the gang interview field sheet.
The confidential source further advised that he is the rank of "Chequeo" with the moniker of "Chele" and that his clothes were reportedly affiliated with the gang.
[FoxNews] While American taxpayers are familiar with the annual rigmarole of filing their federal taxes and realizing just how much of their hard-earned money Uncle Sam is taking away, several House Republicans are pushing a proposal to take some things away from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS): Guns and ammunition.
The "Why Does the IRS Need Guns Act" would disarm the federal agency, prohibiting the commissioner of internal revenue from using funds to buy, receive or store firearms and ammo, and requiring the transfer of IRS firearms and ammunition to the Administrator of General Services.
The guns would then be sold or auctioned to licensed dealers and the ammo would be auctioned to the public.
Proceeds would go to "the general fund of the Treasury for the sole purpose of deficit reduction," the measure stipulates.
[DW] The Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... West African Province (ISWAP) recently deployed four armed drones carrying locally made grenades in an attack on the Forward Operating Base in the Wajikoro area of Borno, Northeast Nigeria, leaving about five soldiers injured.
Nigeria's military has stepped up efforts to contain ISWAP and Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... bully boys. This week, local media reported that the army had thwarted plans by ISWAP to establish bases
in Plateau and Bauchi states.
Using weaponized drones marks a significant shift in the bully boy group's tactics. Residents and critics are worried the new shift could further prolong the conflict in the region. Authorities have since banned the flying of drones, citing security concerns, while acknowledging that non-state actors have used the technology against military targets and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).
Several African countries have adopted the use of drones, particularly the Medium Altitude, Long Endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle, in their fight against gangs. The Sahel region ... North Africa's answer to the Pak tribal areas... is the epicenter of global terrorism and now accounts for over half of all terrorism-related deaths.

[APNEWS] A federal judge on Wednesday said he has found probable cause to hold the Trump administration in criminal contempt of court and warned he could seek officials' prosecution for violating his orders last month to turn around planes carrying deportees to an El Salvador prison.
The ruling from U.S District Judge James E. Boasberg, whom President Donald Trump ...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons... has said should be impeached, marks a dramatic battle between the judicial and executive branches of government over the president's powers to carry out key White House priorities.
Boasberg accused administration officials of rushing deportees out of the country under the Alien Enemies Act last month before they could challenge their removal in court, and then willfully disregarding his order that planes already in the air should return to the United States.
The judge said he could hold hearings and potentially refer the matter for prosecution if the administration does not act to remedy the violation. If Trump's Justice Department leadership declines to prosecute the matter, Boasberg said he will appoint another attorney to do so.
''The Constitution does not tolerate willful disobedience of judicial orders — especially by officials of a coordinate branch who have sworn an oath to uphold it,'' wrote Boasberg, the chief judge of Washington's federal court.

Just a conspiracy theory considered - As the velocity of petty, illogical, inappropriate and obviously unconstitutional law-fare by the Resistance swells geometrically at selected federal jurisdictions across the fruited plains, consider that their aim seems to be to force either a Lilliputian-style halt of all of Trumps MAGA agenda, weakening his mandate and public support for the 2026 midterms to win control of the House, and/or induce Trump to some Executive Action like a Lincoln-ian State of Emergency. Such an Act might help them convince even a Republican Congress to successfully impeach Trump.
Absent stopping Trump and DOGE, the demokrat party apparatus and nomenklatura will be effectively destroyed. This is existential for the radical left coalition of domestic and foreign players formed behind the Kalorama Kartel and their plans for the future demise of traditional America.
[APNEWS] Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen traveled to El Salvador on Wednesday and met with the country's vice president to push for the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man who was sent there by the Trump administration in March despite an immigration court order preventing his deportation.
Van Hollen said at a news conference in San Salvador that Vice President F lix Ulloa said his government could not return Abrego Garcia to the United States and declined to allow Van Hollen to visit him in the notorious gang prison where he is being held.
''Why is the government of El Salvador continuing to imprison a man where they have no evidence that he's committed any crime and they have not been provided any evidence from the United States that he has committed any crime?'' Van Hollen told news hounds after the meeting. ''They should just let him go.''

[APNEWS] A federal judge says some nonprofits awarded billions for a so-called green bank to finance clean energy and climate-friendly projects cannot have their contracts scrapped and must have access to some of the frozen money. The order late Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan ''gives us a chance to breathe after the EPA unlawfully — and without due process — terminated our awards and blocked access to funds that were appropriated by Congress and legally obligated,'' said Climate United CEO Beth Bafford.
The lawsuit by Climate United Fund and other groups contends that the EPA, Administrator Lee Zeldin and Citibank, which held the grant money, illegally blocked the funds awarded last year and had jeopardized the organizations' operations.
Chutkan said Citibank must provide the money that was due to the nonprofits before the EPA had frozen their accounts in mid-February. The EPA immediately appealed.
The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, commonly referred to as a ''green bank,'' was authorized by the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act under Democratic President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass.... . Its goals run counter to the Trump administration's opposition to climate-friendly policies and its embrace of fossil fuels. Zeldin quickly made the bank a target, characterizing the $20 billion in grants as a ''gold bar'' scheme marred by conflicts of interest and potential fraud.

due process
Outside criminal prosecutions, where the hell did handling government grants get tagged with that? If it is not a contract but a grant, why doesn't a grantor have the power to terminate. Smells like another power the judiciary granted itself.

a decent way to revise the grant statement of work is to require the grantee to list a number of specific tasks they expect to accomplish and for each one develop a work plan that has to be reviewed and approved before costs may be incurred and require each quarter's work to be reviewd and approved before costs may be incurred on the next quarter's work

not sure if overhead rates may be adjusted retroactive to initial approval.
certainly they can be capped at 15% for new grants or amended grants that just add on to ongoing work that is nearing completion

[FoxNews] "No government—regardless of which party is in power—should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry they can pursue."
“He who pays the piper calls the tune.” Any private university can ignore government dicta — outside of those required by state and federal law, of course, such as forbidding discrimination against students and staff for reason of religion or race — so long as they accept no government funding whatsoever.
Harvard’s tense showdown with the Trump administration took another costly turn after the White House froze more than $2 billion in federal funding following the Ivy League school’s failure to curtail antisemitism.
Explaining its decision not to comply with President Donald Trump’s orders aimed at curbing antisemitism, Harvard President Alan Garber said, "No government—regardless of which party is in power—should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry they can pursue."
Conversely, White House spokesperson Kush Desai stated that the Trump administration is "motivated by one thing and one thing only: tackling antisemitism…Antisemitic protesters inflicting violence and taking over entire college campus buildings is not only a crude display of bigotry against Jewish Americans, but entirely disruptive to the intellectual inquiry and research that federal funding of colleges is meant to support."
Harvard’s tense showdown with the Trump administration took another costly turn after the White House froze more than $2 billion in federal funding following the Ivy League school’s failure to curtail antisemitism.
The depressing point that’s lost in this standoff is that Harvard appears to be fighting the Trump administration and the president's Joint Task Force to Combat Antisemitism harder than it has ever fought antisemitism on its own campus.
Where was Harvard’s fierce resolve when swastikas and antisemitic stickers were plastered near Harvard's Hillel? Or when a Harvard employee was filmed ripping down posters of Israeli hostages, including those of the slain Bibas babies? Or when an Israeli business school student was surrounded, mobbed and shouted off campus by pro-Palestinian protesters for the heinous crime of being Jewish?
Harvard is indeed a private university. But unlike Hillsdale College, a small liberal arts college in Michigan which stopped accepting federal funding in 1984, Harvard is still the recipient of billions of dollars of federal funding. That means Harvard is subject to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination against all students, including Jewish students, on the basis of race, color or national origin.
Public or private, Harvard has an obligation to ensure the safety of its student population. From harassment. From discrimination. From violence. These are very rudimentary expectations that Jewish students accuse the university of having neglected, leading to egregious civil rights violations and a lawsuit alleging that "Harvard, America’s leading university, has become a bastion of Jewish hatred and harassment…numerous students and faculty members at Harvard have openly endorsed Hamas’s October 7 massacre, issuing public statements blaming Jews for their own murders, or otherwise excusing or supporting Hamas’s actions."
A simple question persists: Why is there so much controversy around measures being taken to protect Jewish students? Had the federal government threatened to cut off federal funding to universities failing to protect LGBTQ groups, would there be such outcry? Of course not. If masked KKK racists stormed a college campus today, threatened to attack black students and the college administration failed to address that threat, would federal government intervention be so roundly condemned? It rightly would not.
But once again, in the words of British author and screenwriter David Baddiel, Jews don’t count.
[IsraelTimes] US President Donald Trump’s administration says it will stop Harvard University from enrolling foreign students if it does not agree to government demands that would put it under outside political supervision.
Trump is furious at the storied university — which has produced 162 Nobel prize winners — for rejecting his request to submit to oversight on admissions, hiring and political slant.
“And if Harvard cannot verify it is in full compliance with its reporting requirements, the university will lose the privilege of enrolling foreign students,” reads a statement from the Department of Homeland Security.

Harvard is a business disguised as an education facility. They have enough funds to offer every student free tuition, stop accepting donations and funding and still be fully solvent for the next 100 years. They are a fraud on our institutions and a drain on the American tax payer. And remember, only the very wealthy can afford to go there. It is not there for most for Americans.

[NBCDFW] Five students were hospitalized after a shooting inside Wilmer-Hutchins High School in Dallas on Tuesday afternoon, officials say. The school is the same one where a student was injured in a shooting in a classroom last year.
Officials with Dallas Fire-Rescue confirmed Wednesday that four boys were shot and a 14-year-old girl was hospitalized for anxiety. The ages of the shooting victims were 15 to 18, and they had injuries that ranged from serious to non-life-threatening. Of the five people hospitalized on Tuesday, only two remained hospitalized on Wednesday, DFR said.
Officials have confirmed a suspect is in custody. The suspect has been identified as 17-year-old Tracy Denard Haynes Jr.
The affidavit says school surveillance video showed an unidentified student let Haynes in through an unsecured door at 1:03 p.m., and moments later, he began firing indiscriminately at five students.
[FoxNews] A Massachusetts man wearing a gas mask and tactical gear was captured on video walking into a courthouse in a Boston suburb and attacking several people with pepper spray on Monday.
Nicholas Akerberg, 28, of Yarmouth Port, entered Woburn District Court and deployed pepper spray at multiple court officers, a police officer and an assistant district attorney, the Middlesex district attorney's office said in a statement.
Security footage from the courthouse shows a man wearing a helmet, gas mask, tactical boots and sunglasses walk up to the building as a court officer opens the front door. The man is then seen spraying pepper spray at the officer and barging into the courthouse.
Other officers inside the courthouse tackled the man to the ground, according to the video. Akerberg punched, shoved and assaulted multiple people before several officers subdued him, the officials said.
Akerberg was ordered to be held at a Monday arraignment. His bail was revoked, and he was ordered to undergo a competency evaluation.
Sounds like they expect to find out he’s nuts then, rather than merely vicious.

We brats were always amused to hear Mom say "Woburn," not that she had much occasion to. Sounded like Barney Frank ordering a reuben (which was of course perfectly correct Masshole, but how were we to know?). What wouldn't I give now to hear her read a random page from a gazetteer of the Commonwealth?
[FoxBusinessNews] President Donald Trump, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.S. trade representative Jamieson Greer are expected to negotiate a historic deal with Japan on Wednesday as they meet with Tokyo’s Economic Revitalization Minister Ryōsei Akazawa.
Military support, energy projects and exchange rates are all expected to be on the table during the talks as the countries aim to strike a mutually beneficial deal, Reuters reported.
Bessent recently told Bloomberg that there is a "first-mover advantage" in trade deals with the White House, something that could make Washington more amenable to Japan.

[PREMIUMTIMESNG] Six former refugees repatriated from Chad have regained their freedom after paying a ransom to their Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... kidnappers.
The forces of Evil kidnapped eight former refugees a fortnight ago while they were fishing on the outskirts of their community in Doron Baga, Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.
The incident happened just months after the victims were resettled in the community after spending over ten years as refugees in the Chad Republic fleeing from the Boko Haram bad boys.

On Saturday, one of the victims said the Lions of Islam have rel66jmeased six of them.
''They released six of us,'' Bukar Shuib (not his real name) said, adding that their families paid money to the bad boys.
''Some of us paid N300,000. Others paid between N200,000 and less to secure our freedom,'' Mr Shuib said.
He said the other two were still with the Lions of Islam because their families could not raise the money, narrating how they suffered at the hands of the bad boys.

[FoxBusinessNews] Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, filed a lawsuit on Wednesday seeking to block President Donald Trump ...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election. Then he beat Kamala while dodging bullets... from enacting his tariff plans, Gov. Gavin Governor Hair Gel Newsom ...mayor of San Franciscoas it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of Californiaas it transforms itself into Cinderland... announced.
Newsom and state Attorney General Rob Bonta filed the lawsuit in federal court on Wednesday morning. It argues that Trump overstepped his authority by imposing tariffs without congressional approval, and calls on the court to declare Trump's tariffs void and block their implementation.
"The uncertainty is pronounced, and it is profound in the state of California," Newsom said at a Wednesday presser. "The impacts of these tariffs disproportionately impact the state of California."
"It's not just the coast and technology," he added. "No state is poised to lose more than the state of California. So that's why we're standing up."
Newsom is suing Trump over tariffs, asking for massive loans to cover the healthcare costs for illegal aliens, and trying to woo Canadians to tour the state.

[THENATIONONLINENG.NET] Seven people have reportedly been killed by suspected Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... snuffies who attacked two communities in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The attacks occurred on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, when the snuffies stormed the Banga and Larh communities with guns and bombs, killing their victims and bombing vehicles along their path.
Initial reports from residents put the corpse count at six, but the confirmed number has since risen to seven.
In Banga, a vigilante was killed by a kaboom, while two other men were rubbed out. A woman also tragically died after falling while attempting to flee. Two fatalities were recorded in nearby Larh.
The attack also left one boy unaccounted for, with reports stating that his phone was ringing but went unanswered when family and friends tried to contact him.
Among the assets destroyed in the assault was a police van from Garaha, which was stationed in Banga and destroyed by a Boko Haram bomb.
The chairman of Hong Local Government Area, Usman Wa'aganda, confirmed the tragic events in a phone interview on Wednesday, stating that seven lives were lost in the turban attack.

Tennessee GOP Sen. Marsha Blackburn sent a letter Tuesday to Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) calling on the medical school to comply with President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... 's Executive Order on ending diversity, equity and inclusion programs at educational institutions.
The letter comes after VUMC reportedly took steps to hide many of its DEI resources as opposed to getting rid of them, following the president's Executive Orders.
Consumers Research, a conservative nonprofit that was following medical schools' responses to Trump's orders on ending DEI discovered that VUMC was taking steps to hide some of theirs behind password-protected web pages. In response to criticism, a VUMC spokesperson told Fox News Digital at the time that it was undergoing "a thorough review" of its programs to figure out "where revisions may be required to remain in compliance, including updating information on websites and other public platforms."
According to an updated review, VUMC's Office of Diversity and Inclusion website remains behind a password-protected web page. Same with the DEI web page on VUMC's Department of Medicine website, resources touting "climate care is health care," and a web page for the school's "Inaugural Climate Change Action & Sustainability Summit." Other resources which had previously appeared to be hidden behind password protected web pages — rather than deleted — such as a YouTube video about "The War on DEI," appear to have been deleted since criticism over the matter was unleashed against the school.
