India-Pakistan
India And Pakistan Director Generals of Military Operations Hold Talks Over Hotline
[Oneindia] Following the Pahalgam terror attack, the relationship between India and Pakistain has become increasingly strained. The Indian military has been in direct communication with their Pak counterparts, emphasizing their stark warning against the continuation of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC). These discussions, facilitated through a hotline conversation between the Director Generals of Military Operations from both nations, aimed to address the escalating unprovoked aggression by Pak forces, as reported by the news agency ANI, citing Defence sources.

In a series of aggressive maneuvers, Pak troops have intensified their unprovoked firing across the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
, an action that has perpetuated the cycle of ceasefire breaches. This series of violations, which occurred on the night of April 29-30, saw Pak forces utilizing small arms to target Indian positions in multiple sectors, including Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor. The Indian security forces, in turn, have responded with strong retaliatory action to these provocations.

The recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the tragic loss of 26 innocent lives, has led to a pronounced response from New Delhi. In a decisive move, India has implemented several punitive measures against Pakistain, highlighting its determination to combat terrorism. These measures include the suspension of the historic Indus Waters Treaty, the closure of the Attari land-border crossing, and the expulsion of Pak military attaches. Moreover, India has mandated that all Paks who entered the country via the Attari land border exit by May 1. In response, Pakistain has taken steps such as closing its airspace to all Indian airlines and halting trade with India, not only directly but also through third countries.

Pakistain's military has been placed on high alert as India intensifies its efforts to pursue the turbans involved in the Pahalgam attack. This heightened state of readiness underscores the tense atmosphere and the potential for further escalation between the two nations.

The persistent ceasefire violations by Pakistain are perceived as an expression susof frustration over India's resolute actions in the aftermath of the Pahalgam incident. This ongoing conflict has not only heightened tensions but has also led to significant geopolitical consequences, affecting both nations' military and diplomatic engagements.

Afghanistan
UN: 250,000 Afghan Refugees return from Iran and Pakistan in April
[KhaamaPress] In April, 250,000 Afghan refugees returned from Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and Pakistain, straining Afghanistan’s fragile resources amid ongoing economic and humanitarian crises.

The United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has reported that approximately 250,000 Afghan migrants colonists returned from Iran and Pakistain in April 2025 alone.

Out of the total, nearly 96,000 were forcibly deported, while about 154,000 left voluntarily due to rising pressure and harsh policies in both neighboring countries.

UNHCR has warned that this large-scale return places immense pressure on Afghanistan’s fragile humanitarian resources, which are already strained and underfunded.

The report noted that such mass returns risk worsening the already dire living conditions for millions of Afghans struggling to survive amid economic collapse.

Mounting economic and political pressures, particularly stricter immigration enforcement in Iran and Pakistain, have triggered this rapid wave of repatriation in recent weeks.

Afghanistan, however, remains in the grip of widespread poverty, unemployment, and infrastructure breakdown, lacking the capacity to absorb and assist the growing number of returnees.

Humanitarian organizations are urging the international community to act swiftly by providing emergency aid, shelter, and reintegration support to prevent a worsening humanitarian disaster.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Former Afghan soldier and US ally shot dead in Houston, Texas
[KhaamaPress] Abdulrahman Waziri, a former Afghan soldier and U.S. ally, was fatally shot in Houston
...a city in Texas, named after Sam Houston, who would drop deader than he is now if he could see how it turned out...
following a parking dispute.

Abdulrahman Waziri, a 31-year-old former Afghan soldier and U.S. military ally, was shot and killed on Sunday, April 27, in Houston, Texas, following a verbal altercation. The incident occurred outside the Gables apartment complex in Richmond, a suburb of Houston.

According to the Houston Police Department, Waziri had parked his vehicle in front of the mailboxes when a dispute arose with another driver. The altercation quickly escalated, and the other individual opened fire, shooting Waziri multiple times and killing him at the scene.

Click2Houston reported that the suspect later voluntarily approached the police and provided a statement regarding the shooting. Authorities confiscated the weapon used in the incident, but after consulting with the District Attorney’s Office, the police decided not to immediately arrest or charge the individual, citing the need for further investigation.

Waziri’s brother, Abdullah Khan, told Click2Houston that their family had resettled in the U.S. for safety after Waziri served alongside U.S. Special Forces during the war in Afghanistan. "We came here for a safe life, but now even here we are not safe," he said. Waziri is survived by his wife and two young daughters.

This incident has sparked concern among Afghan refugee communities and veterans’ advocacy groups, many of whom have highlighted the challenges faced by Afghan allies adjusting to life in the United States. The case is under review by local authorities and may reignite debate over gun violence and refugee protection in the U.S.

While the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, the circumstances have drawn attention to the precarious situations many resettled Afghan families face—caught between trauma from their past and uncertainty in their new environments. Advocacy organizations are calling for greater community integration support and stronger protective measures for war allies.

As the investigation continues, the Afghan diaspora and U.S. veteran networks are urging authorities to ensure justice is served and to re-examine the vulnerabilities faced by those who stood by American troops during the war in Afghanistan.

There is a GoFundMe to send his body back to Afghanistan for burial here.

International-UN-NGOs
More than 5,000 Afghans have died on migration routes: IOM
[KhaamaPress] The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has reported that more than 5,000 Afghan citizens have died on migration routes since 2014. The findings were published in a report released on Tuesday, April 29, highlighting the dangers faced by those fleeing crisis-affected countries.

According to the IOM, thousands of these deaths occurred following the political upheaval in Afghanistan in 2021, when many Afghans attempted to escape the country amid instability and fear under the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
regime.

The report further notes that over 52,000 people worldwide have died while fleeing crisis-affected countries during the same period. These deaths underline the devastating toll of forced displacement globally.

IOM stated that 54 percent of these fatalities occurred within or near conflict-affected or disaster-hit countries, including Afghanistan and Myanmar. The dangers faced by migrants colonists are often highest near their places of origin, where formal escape routes and protection mechanisms are minimal.

Specifically, more than 3,100 Rohingya refugees from Myanmar also bit the dust during attempts to flee persecution, reflecting the broader pattern of humanitarian catastrophes across the country.

Since the Taliban takeover in August 2021, Afghanistan has witnessed a surge in emigration. The regime’s suppression of civil liberties—particularly the rights of women—has intensified desperation, driving thousands to risk perilous journeys in search of safety and dignity.

Despite more than three years under Taliban control, the group has failed to stop the outflow of citizens. Many Afghans, seeing no future in their homeland, are willing to risk death for a chance at life elsewhere.

US deports over 130 Central Asian Migrants to Uzbekistan
[KhaamaPress] The U.S. deported 131 migrants colonists from Central Asia to Uzbekistan under a new agreement to enhance security and legal cooperation.

The United States has deported 131 Central Asian migrants colonists who were residing in the country illegally. The deportees, originally from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan, were returned to Uzbekistan on a chartered flight, according to a Rooters report published on April 30.

The move comes under a new agreement between Washington and Tashkent aimed at improving cooperation on migration management and border security. The repatriation was carried out in coordination with Uzbekistan’s authorities, ensuring adherence to international protocols.

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem stated that Washington seeks to continue its collaboration with Uzbekistan to strengthen mutual security and uphold the rule of law. She emphasized the importance of bilateral partnerships in addressing cross-border challenges.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security confirmed that the deportation was part of broader efforts to enforce immigration law and enhance domestic security. The operation reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to address undocumented migration.

This deportation aligns with longstanding policy goals dating back to the administration of the U.S. President Donald Trump
...Never got invited to a P.Diddy party...
, who had pledged to remove millions of undocumented migrants colonists from the country. Current enforcement actions build on that legacy with increased focus on strategic international cooperation.

As global migration pressures rise, such coordinated repatriations underscore the increasing focus on legal migration pathways and border enforcement among destination countries. The U.S. continues to work with regional partners to manage irregular migration while adhering to human rights
One man's rights are another man's existential threat.
standards.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, future deportation operations will continue under similar bilateral agreements, especially with Central Asian and Latin American countries. Washington emphasizes that these efforts aim to deter unlawful entry while supporting regional stability and cooperation.

Unearthed Emails Confirm Biden Admin's Heavy Hand In Navarro Prosecution
[ZH] Not a surprise. Did Garland get a pardon? Why no, he didn't. Ruin his life
Newly unearthed emails confirm what the Biden administration had repeatedly denied: It was heavily involved in the 2022 prosecution of Trump trade counselor Peter Navarro...

Navarro, one of the top officials in the first Trump White House, had challenged the Jan. 6 Committee’s overreach by invoking executive privilege in refusing to comply with their subpoenas.

It appears the Biden DOJ wanted to make an example of Navarro.

In one email dated May 19, 2022—just days before Navarro was indicted—FBI Special Agent Walter Giardina wrote to fellow agents about instructions from the U.S. attorney for D.C., after the latter’s consultation "with main Justice."

The email read, "I just spoke with DC USAO, after consultation with main Justice, they are not intending to prosecute Meadows or Scavino. This decision is based on their White House positions and prior DOJ opinions. .. We have been told to cease work on those case. [sic]"

Signaling the government’s intent to go after Navarro, the email continued, "They would like to charge Navarro in the next two weeks however."

Mexican Senator Brands President Sheinbaum as ‘Liar' with Ties to Cartels
[Breitbart] Mexican Senator Lilly Tellez (PAN-Sonora) blasted President Claudia Sheinbaum, demanding she "stop telling lies." The senator accused her country’s president of having a close association with several lawyers who represent drug cartels during a fiery speech to the Mexican Senate.

The Senator representing the Mexican State of Sonora is routinely critical of President Sheinbaum’s seemingly soft approach to fighting organized crime in Mexico. Maria Lilly Del Carmen Tellez García, professionally known as "Lilly Tellez," is a Mexican politician who was first elected as a senator in 2018 under the Morena Party. In 2019, Tellez left the Morena Party, and in 2020, she joined the National Action Party (PAN). She became an openly vocal critic of the Mexican government, often claiming with receipts that they are in bed with the cartels.

In June 2022, Breitbart Texas reported that the senator lashed out against the ruling party, saying, "How am I going to face off against the senator from Sinaloa, knowing she has all the support of the Gulf Cartel, and El Chapo’s Cartel?"

Tellez added, "How can we face off against you when you have the full support of the cartels, the mafia, knowing full well that once we get out of here we can be attacked by those criminals who are helping you to operate in the elections —this is having bravery and civic responsibility."

Tellez stated that the decision to abandon the Morena Party was made when former President Manuel López Obrador, commonly referred to as AMLO, traveled to Badiraguato, Sinaloa, to shake hands with the mother of convicted drug trafficker Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán in 2020. Before becoming a politician, Tellez was well-known as an investigative journalist for TV Azteca, Mexico’s second-largest mass media company.

As an investigative reporter, Tellez conducted several investigations involving the Arellano-Felix Cartel. She also produced two documentaries denouncing Samuel Del Villar, a government official from Mexico City, as corrupt. On June 22, 2020, her car was shot at eight times by a group of unknown men. She survived the attack without injury. A bullet was discovered to have hit her seat belt buckle and caused the trajectory of the bullet to change course, possibly saving her life. As is often the case in Mexico, no suspects were ever arrested, and the case was closed.

During her speech before the Mexican Senate in February, Tellez offered proof of President Sheinbaum’s associations with "the defenders of organized crime" by pointing to a photo of the president with attorneys who, according to Tellez, admitted on video to being dedicated to "defending organized crime." Tellez further stated that the attorneys pictured with Sheinbaum are owners of the law firm that represents Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada.

Trump The Deporter: Correcting The Record On America's Immigration Numbers
[American Liberty] It is sometimes said that numbers do not lie. But as any philosopher or bureaucrat will tell you, numbers can be made to say anything, depending on the definitions employed. This is particularly true of immigration statistics. Over the past three administrations, the definition of a "deportation" has shifted so dramatically that comparisons across presidents are not merely misleading, they are meaningless without context. The claim, often parroted in progressive media circles, that Presidents Obama or Biden deported more illegal aliens than Donald Trump is a textbook case of definitional manipulation. Once we unravel the terminology and consider what was actually done to whom, the truth emerges with disarming clarity: Trump has deported more illegal aliens than any prior president, not because he cooked the books, but because he enforced the law. And now, in his second term, he is doing it faster and more effectively than ever before.

Let us begin by isolating the concept. What is a deportation? In the immigration code, a deportation refers to the formal removal of an individual who has no lawful basis to remain in the United States. The process often culminates with an order of removal from an immigration judge, or in many cases, with an expedited removal issued by a Department of Homeland Security officer. But over time, a definitional sleight of hand has occurred, transforming administrative jargon into political theater.

During the Obama administration, a large share of what were formerly known as "returns," informal turnarounds at the border without a legal order, were reclassified as "removals." This maneuver allowed the administration to inflate deportation statistics by including quick expulsions of individuals who were caught attempting to cross the border and turned back to Mexico. These individuals barely got their feet wet and never saw the inside of a courtroom, much less a formal order of removal. Nevertheless, under Obama’s revised accounting, they were labeled deportees. Additionally, there is evidence that border agents inflated the number of turnarounds since there was no way to refute the numbers. Thus the moniker "deporter-in-chief" was a function of statistical rebranding rather than any rigorous application of immigration law.

#1  If, as the left side of the aisle claim, Biden and Obama deportation numbers were indeed so much higher than the second Trump presidency, then they really have nothing to complain about him except that he is not keeping up with their heroes, and needs to quickly up his game.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Israel declares state of emergency with 'largest ever' wildfires raging out of control towards Jerusalem
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Israel declared a national emergency as the largest wildfires in the country's history continued to rage out of control.

The Fire and Rescue Service's Jerusalem District commander said firefighters had a long way to go before they could contain the blazes, which started near Mesilat Zion, west of Jerusalem, yesterday morning.

Shmulik Friedman said conditions could get even worse due to strong winds which could reach speeds of up to 100 kilometres an hour.

'We are amidst a very large wildfire, maybe the largest there has ever been in this country,' he said last night.

'Regarding our activity, it will continue for a very long time. We are far from having control.'

Footage shows thick smoke billowing above highways as motorists abandoned their vehicles while the military has also deployed troops to help.

Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA) rescue agency reported that hundreds of civilians were at risk from the wildfires, and that it had already treated 23 people.

Friedman said that the cause was still unknown, and that emergency services were 'not yet dealing with this'.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu struck a similar tone, saying that the 'priority right now is defending Jerusalem.'

He added: 'We need to bring as many fire engines as possible and create firebreaks well beyond the current fire lines.

'We are now in a national emergency, not just a local one.

'This wave of fires is a threat to human life, to communities – and to Jerusalem. This is not just a fire in the field, it is a national danger.'

Israel Katz, the defence minister, said in a statement: 'We are facing a national emergency, and all available forces must be mobilised to save lives and bring the fires under control.'

And fire chief Eyal Caspi warned at a press conference that 'our aircraft can't do anything right now due to the weather conditions... Our goal is to save lives'.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said he had held phone calls with counterparts from Argentina, France, Italy, the UK, Spain, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Croatia, Greece, Cyprus, Azerbaijan and North Macedonia, to request aerial assistance in dealing with the wildfires.

But experts have said that Israeli leaders have failed to prepare for wildfires after major blazes in both 2016 and 2021.

Dov Ganem, chairman of the Israel Fire and Air Rescue Association, told the Walla news site that he had been warning for 18 years about the state's lack of preparedness for massive fires.

He said he had long pushed for advanced aerial firefighting but had not been acknowledged.
You know how it is: when you have one existential war after another, and between times you spend vast sums to finally harden your borders, it’s really hard to worry about the occasional natural disaster.
Tomer Lotan, who served as the Director General of the Ministry of Internal Security from 2021 to 2022, said he had drawn up plans to purchase Blackhawk helicopters aimed at bolstering the firefighters' aerial forces but was blocked.

'I tried my best to explain that these were firefighting helicopters that were supposed to upgrade Israel's air capabilities,' he wrote yesterday.

'Of course, it was like talking to a wall. The false arguments have stalled the Blackhawks project – and prevented us from being here today, two and a half years later, with a vital boost to the fight against the giant fires.'

Generally, experts say wildfires are encouraged by an abundance of dry vegetation and strong winds, and are usually sparked by negligence or arson.

Israeli police have reportedly arrested three suspects in connection to the wildfires, though authorities have said it is too early to determine the cause of the initial blaze.

There has also been concern within Israel over what appear to be celebratory posts across social media around the incident.

Messages circulating on Facebook, Telegram and TikTok show some users hailing the wildfires as a divine act.

One wrote: 'We ask God to protect our people and our land. May these fires confuse the occupiers and their embattled settlers.'

Another account said: 'May God burn them as they burned the people of Gaza and their tents.'

Zvi Sukkot, a far-right lawmaker, wrote to Netanyahu to ask him to order a curfew and impose a lockdown on Palestinian villages in the West Bank.

'There is a real concern, based on past experience, that Palestinians will try to ignite more fires in Judea and Samaria and throughout Israel,' he said.

'To prevent such occurrences, a curfew must be imposed immediately on Judea and Samaria, and a blockade must be imposed on the Palestinian villages.'

Arabia
Yemen warns UK after attacks on Sana'a
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
's Government in Sana'a has warned the British aggressor of severe consequences following its military assault on Yemen, stressing that Britannia must reckon with the implications of its involvement and prepare for the fallout.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Government said, ''In a display of typical British arrogance, the UK Ministry of Defense announced its participation in a joint military attack with the American enemy on our country, south of Sana'a. In response, the Government affirms that the British enemy must consider the consequences of its entanglement and anticipate the outcomes of its aggression against Yemen.''

The statement continued, ''While we pledge to respond to this unlawful and unjustified aggression, we emphasize that this attack falls within the ongoing Anglo-American efforts to support the Israeli enemy by attempting to halt Yemen's assistance to Paleostine, so that the Israeli enemy can continue its genocide in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
The government also stated that this joint aggression is yet another confirmation that the US and the UK are partners in the same war—against both Yemen and Paleostine.

''Yemen's position remains firm in supporting the Paleostinian people in the battle of promised liberation and sacred resistance. With Allah's help, our stance will grow more effective, because Yemen—its leadership, government, and people—draws its strength from Allah's support and reliance upon Him.''

The government stressed that no matter how great the challenges, Yemen will stand firm against the axis of evil: America, Britannia, and Israel, along with their regional allies.

This warning came as Britannia resumed its participation in US-led attacks on Yemen. The UK Ministry of Defense announced Tuesday that British forces had taken part in what it called a ''joint military operation'' in Yemen, referring to the Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s that targeted Sana'a, Saada, al-Jawf, and other areas.

Somalia banks on Arab League in Al-Shabaab war
It’s absolutely fascinating to watch the great world come so quickly to terms with Uncle Sugar shutting down the donations mill. It’s even more interesting to see so many unquestioningly pick up the thread of donations without allowing so much as a stitch to be dropped, never seeming to ask whether these donations and these recipients are worthy and worthwhile — such is the power of Trump-hate.

Clan Fighters Strike Al-Shabaab in Central Somalia, Kill Militants and Seize Weapons
[Garowe] The al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
Death Eaters suffered a series of setbacks, Tuesday, following a security operation conducted by the Macawislay fighters in central regions, marking yet another significant gain against the group in recent weeks.

Security teams confirmed the death of several Death Eaters in central Somalia, with the Macawislay fighters seizing weapons during the planned operation in the dense forests of Ciid-Ciidka within Mahaday, Middle Shabelle.

One of the commanding officers, Osman Beerey, who was in charge of the raid, said multiple Death Eaters were killed in some of the hideouts targeted by the military backers. The Macawislay fighters work closely with the Somali National Army.

"We neutralized several Death Eaters and recovered a cache of weapons and military equipment," Beerey said, while noting that the fighters remain committed to the course.

Some four bodies of the Death Eaters were retrieved by the Death Eaters and transported to the nearby Cali Fooldheere village. The Death Eaters retreated from the strategic points as they made their way into the vicinity of the village after heavy fighting.

Beerey said Macawiisley forces have since taken full control of the areas cleared during the operation, part of ongoing efforts to drive the al Qaeda-linked group out of rural strongholds in central Somalia.

The al-Shabaab Death Eaters have been trying to disrupt supply routes within the country while taking over strategic areas that had been recovered by the Somali National Army with assistance from the US Africa Command and the African Union

Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) forces.

Although the group managed to take over some of the strategic areas, the military seems to be determined to edge them out, leading to intense fights in recent weeks. The government of Somalia is optimistic about regaining areas lost to the al-Shabaab.

PKK claims responsibility for drone attacks targeting Peshmerga in Duhok province
Idiots. How often have they done this and let Turkey take the blame?
[Rudaw] The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) grabbed credit on Wednesday for two drone attacks on Peshmerga forces in Duhok province, which left five Peshmerga personnel injured earlier this week.

The Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC) stated on Tuesday that five Peshmerga personnel were maimed in two drone attacks in Duhok province over the course of two days. The KRSC blamed a "terrorist group," without specifying its identity.

The People’s Defense Forces (HPG), the PKK's military wing operating in the mountains, stated on Wednesday that Peshmerga forces affiliated with the Kurdistan Region's ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) have established "a new military base" between the villages of Guherze and Balave.

"Definitely, holding this strategic point is part of the Ottoman Turkish army's plan to besiege and annihilate our forces, who have heroically continued the resistance in Zap for four years. Against this, our command in the area made light-level warning interventions once on April 28 and 29, taking care to avoid loss of life," it added.

The HPG also claimed that the Peshmerga forces were attempting to block a key road that connects PKK fighters in the Zap and Gare mountains.

The KDP and PKK have long been historical enemies, with their rivalry intensifying in the 1990s, when they were involved in a civil war that severely impacted the Kurdistan Region.

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

and the PKK have been engaged in a decades-long armed conflict. Ankara and its Western allies consider the group a terrorist organization. Founded in 1978, the PKK initially struggled for autonomy but now seeks broader cultural and political rights within Turkey.

Renewed peace efforts to resolve the Ankara-PKK conflict - which has lasted more than four decades and claimed over 40,000 lives - have gained new momentum in recent months.

Senior KDP leaders have expressed support for the peace talks, with some claiming to have played a pivotal role in facilitating dialogue between the warring sides. However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
the KDP-dominated KRSC on Tuesday indirectly accused the PKK of attempting to undermine the grinding of the peace processor.

Government Corruption
US Judge limits Trump-Era migrant deportation order from Guantanamo
[KhaamaPress] A US judge has blocked the Trump administration’s push for rapid deportation of migrants colonists held at Guantanamo Bay, ensuring legal protections.

A U.S. federal judge in Massachusetts, Brian Murphy, has placed limits on a Trump administration directive to deport detained migrants colonists held at Guantanamo Bay. The ruling emphasizes the protection of migrants colonists’ legal rights and due process before removal to third countries.

According to a Rooters report on April 30, Judge Murphy ordered that migrants colonists must be given the opportunity to express concerns about potential threats to their safety or the risk of torture if deported. The decision aims to ensure that human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
considerations are not bypassed in deportation procedures.

Murphy also warned that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) does not have the authority to transfer migrants colonists to other entities in a manner that would obstruct their access to legal counsel or fair judicial processes.

In recent years, the Guantanamo Bay facility—originally used to detain terror suspects post-9/11—has reportedly been repurposed to hold certain undocumented migrants colonists pending deportation. This shift has sparked renewed legal and ethical scrutiny.

The use of Guantanamo for immigration detention has raised concerns among human rights advocates, who argue that such practices may violate both U.S. constitutional protections and international legal norms regarding asylum seekers and detainees.

This ruling represents a significant check on executive power and reinforces the judiciary’s role in safeguarding individual rights, even in high-security environments. It also reflects growing legal challenges to immigration enforcement tactics employed in past administrations.

As debates continue around U.S. immigration policies and detention practices, this decision sets a legal precedent emphasizing transparency, humane treatment, and the right to a fair hearing for all individuals, regardless of their immigration status.

Netanyahu says the ‘supreme goal’ of the war is victory, not the return of the hostages
Bringing home the hostages is part of the victory, not the whole of it.
[IsraelTimes] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says there is a “superior objective” to bringing the hostages home in the war against Hamas.

“We have many goals, many goals in this war. We wantto bring all our hostages home, we’ve brought back so far 147 alive, and 196 total,” says Netanyahu in his comments at the annual Bible Contest in Jerusalem to mark Independence Day.

“There are another up to 24 alive, 59 total, and we want to return the living and the dead. It’s a very important goal. War has a supreme goal. The supreme goal is victory over our enemies, and this we will achieve.”

Man charged after trying to break into Israeli embassy in London carrying a knife
[IsraelTimes] Abdullah Sabah Albadri, 33, was detained inside compound’s grounds, apparently wearing keffiyeh; police suspect him of terrorism offense and possession of bladed weapon

London’s police force charged a man Wednesday with a terror offense after he was detained trying to enter the grounds of the Israeli Embassy while in possession of what appeared to have been a knife of some sort.

The Foreign Ministry said that a knife-wielding individual had attempted to break into the premises of the Israeli embassy in London on Monday "with the intent to carry out an attack."

US Senate panel amends bill to state that criticism of Israeli gov’t is not antisemitism
[IsraelTimes] Republican chair of committee charges that amendment led by Bernie Sanders, which passes 12-11 with help of GOP’s Rand Paul, ‘is an effort to kill’ Antisemitism Awareness Act

An amendment saying that criticism of the Israeli government is not antisemitic was added to the Antisemitism Awareness Act on Wednesday in a US Senate committee hearing.

The amendment was proposed by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders

...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being an Independent socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around...
, the Jewish progressive leader, and approved in a 12-11 vote in the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

The committee adjourned before voting on the bill itself and another piece of legislation, the Protecting Students on Campus Act, which would require schools to share information about how students can file civil rights complaints through the Department of Education.

A date for the committee vote has not yet been announced. If passed by the HELP committee, the bill will move to the Senate floor for a final vote.

Sanders’ was one of seven amendments to be added to the bill, which would codify a widely adopted and controversial definition of antisemitism into US law. That definition, by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, has been adopted by hundreds of governmental bodies and other entities but has drawn criticism from the left because it defines some criticism of Israel as antisemitic.

"One can criticize the government of Israel for their policies without being antisemitic," said Sanders, the committee’s ranking member, during the hearing. "This amendment makes it clear that it is not antisemitic to oppose the Netanyahu-led war effort that has killed more than 50,000 people and maimed over 116,000, 60% of whom are women, children and the elderly."

All committee Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
and Senator Rand Paul, a Kentucky Republican, voted for Sanders’ amendment. Those opposed said that the amendment and others acted as a poison pill.

"Supporting these amendments is an effort to kill this bill, which protects Jewish students from antisemitic acts," said Senator Bill Cassidy, the Louisiana Republican who chairs the committee, during the meeting. "The bill includes protections for free speech, so let’s not be naive as to what’s taking place here."

In response, Sanders said, "Antisemitism is wrong. Authoritarianism is not the answer. That’s what we’re debating right now."

The Antisemitism Awareness Act was passed by the House last year but stalled in the Senate over concerns that it could punish political speech against Israel. Some Republicans, including Paul, have also criticized the IHRA definition because it identifies the belief that Jews killed Jesus as antisemitic.

"This bill would subject to punishment speech claiming that Jews killed Jesus," Paul said at the hearing.

He called the deicide charge "an absurd and insulting insinuation, if the argument is that all Jews are responsible for killing Jesus," but added, "and yet, the Gospel of John describes the trial and crucifixion of Jesus. It reports Jews present at the trial, including the high priest and crowd called for his crucifixion."

He continued, "Nobody thinks that’s all Jews, but you’re no longer allowed to read John 18 and 19. This is sort of insane."

Paul also said he opposed the bill over a litany of other concerns, including fears that it would target comedians. He invoked Jerry Seinfeld as an example.

"Have you guys ever listened to comedy? Do you know why Jerry Seinfeld won’t go to colleges because he can’t make any Jew jokes anymore, or Indian jokes, or whatever jokes. Jokes are about silly categorizations of people," said Rand.

He entered into the record a list of the names of 400 Jewish American comedians who he said have referred to Jews in stereotypical language, and who he says may be targeted by the bill.

Two other Sanders amendments were also approved by the committee, including one that states the federal government cannot compel schools to violate the First Amendment rights of a student or professor. The measure could impact the Trump administration’s crackdown on pro-Paleostinian student activists.

"We have already seen attack after attack on freedom of speech and right to dissent. This amendment defends the Constitution of the United States and our First Amendment," said Sanders. It passed in a vote of 13-10, with all Democrats as well as Paul and Senator Susan Collins, a Maine Republican, voting in favor.

Another Sanders amendment provided protection to students distributing written materials on campus, carrying out school-sanctioned protests, and engaging in "any speech that does not include true threats or incitement of violence," according to Jewish Insider. It was approved by all committee democrats, along with Paul and Collins.

A fourth amendment to the bill was proposed by Senator Ed Markey
...U.S. Representative-for-Life from Massachusetts, serving since 1976. He is a member of the Democratic Party, naturally....
, a Massachusetts Democrat, which opposed the Trump administration’s recent student visa revocations, as well as detainments and deportations of students and faculty at universities for activities protected under the First Amendment. It was approved by affirmative votes from all Democrats and Paul.

Progressive US Jewish organizations oppose controversial antisemitism bill

[IsraelTimes] As the US’s Antisemitism Awareness Act heads to a Senate committee for a crucial vote, 10 progressive Jewish organizations have signed a letter opposing the legislation for representing an endorsement of the Trump administration’s "efforts to weaponize antisemitism."

"Voting in favor of this legislation in this current political climate would represent an endorsement of the Trump administration’s escalating efforts to weaponize antisemitism as a pretext for undermining civil rights, deporting political dissidents, and attacking the fundamental pillars of our democracy, making the Jewish community and others less safe," Tuesday’s letter read.

Republicans, meanwhile, added language meant to tamp down concerns by some politicians that the act would criminalize some expressions of Christian doctrine.

The bill drew free-speech concerns from both sides of the aisle last year when it sailed through the House but stalled in the Senate. On the left, critics charged that the bill’s enshrining of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism could bar legitimate criticism of Israel. Some on the right, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, said they opposed the bill because IHRA identifies the belief that Jews killed Jesus as antisemitic.

Now, the bill has been reintroduced by a bipartisan coalition of senators, including Jews — and it faces a vote in the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee Wednesday in a changed political climate. US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th and 47th President of the United States...
’s administration, installed in January, has taken aggressive actions that it says are meant to stop antisemitism, drawing criticism from many of the bill’s Democratic sponsors as a result.

US Senator Chuck Schumer
...Senator-for-life from New York, renowned for his love of standing in front of cameras and microphones. Schumer has been a professional politician since 1975, when disco was in flower, which is NaN years. Senate minority leader as of 2017...
, who was the Senate majority leader until January, is a sponsor and made moving the bill forward a top priority in the last session of Congress. Schumer has since criticized Trump’s crackdown on campus antisemitism, signing a letter last week accusing his administration of using antisemitism as a "guise" to attack universities.

The 10 progressive Jewish organizations signing the letter opposing the Antisemitism Awareness Act are Bend the Arc: Jewish Action, Habonim Dror North America, Hashomer Hatzair USA, J Street, Jewish Community Action, New Israel Fund, New Jewish Narrative, New York Jewish Agenda, The Nexus Project, and T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights.

While progressive groups have been vocal critics of the Trump administration, the letter puts them in the position of also undercutting efforts by Democratic and Jewish politicians to take steps they say would protect Jews.

Fifth Column
Maryland rabbis, local Jews reject Jewish Voice for Peace convention in Baltimore
[IsraelTimes] US Jewish community leaders push back against anti-Zionist group’s annual gathering, saying activists support terror and ‘undermine the very essence of Jewish identity’

US Jewish community leaders in Maryland pushed back Wednesday against a national conference the anti-Zionist Jewish Voice for Peace
…founded by Hamas BDS activist Hatem Bazian, while its social media managers live in Lebanon and a large chunk of its funding comes from the Soros Open Society Foundations…
activist group is holding this week in the state’s largest city, Baltimore.

Thirty Maryland rabbis signed a letter expressing "deep concern" about the conference and saying the group undermines Jewish identity. The event begins on Thursday and ends on Sunday.
Take pictures of everyone there, and open a file for the few names that don’t already have an FBI file.
JVP says its largest-ever National Member Meeting aims to help activists connect with each other and organize "to keep making our strongest possible contribution to the movement for Paleostinian liberation, as well as the fight against fascism
fasces -- thin reeds, each flimsy in itself but unbreakable when bound into a bundle. Its distinguishing philosophical feature is the Corporate State. The word is nowadays thrown around by all sorts of people who have no idea what they're talking about...
at home."

Speakers at the conference include US Rep. Rashida Tlaib
...the very first ever Paleostinian-American ever sworn into Congress in 2019. She is a member of The Squad and consistently votes against the U.S. national interest. She's a Dem, naturally, from a safe district you wouldn't want to live in (Michigan's 12th congressional district). She wants the country to be kinda like Gaza only without any Jews for neighbors...
, activist Linda
Hamas Louse
Sarsour and former US Rep. Cori Bush
...politician, nurse, pastor, and Black Lives Matter activist formerly serving as the U.S. representative for Missouri's 1st congressional district, since 2021, and probably all years after that until she dies. The district includes all of the city of St. Louis and most of northern St. Louis County. There are few normal people to be found there. Soon after being sworn in, Bush joined The Squad, a group of Socialist Dem lawmakers intent on wrecking the country. She posted a photo on Twitter of herself, the four original Squad members, and another new member, Jamaal Fire Alarm Bowman, with the caption "Squad up."...
, according to JVP’s website.
A perfect score: Jew-haters, all.
The group expects more than 2,000 attendees.

"JVP claims to represent the Jewish community and to support peace. We believe it is important to make clear that JVP is a fringe movement that does not speak for the majority of Jews, reflect Jewish values, or seek peace," the rabbis’ letter says. "Rather, JVP demonstrates support for terror, disrupts public life and actively undermines the very essence of Jewish identity, faith and tradition."
Every word rings with golden truth.
The letter cites statements from JVP chapters that supported Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
’s October 7, 2023, onslaught in its immediate aftermath; backed Paleostinian "resistance"; called for the "death of Israel"; and demanded an end to US defense aid to Israel on the day of the Hamas attack.
That would be all of them…
"By promoting a version of Judaism that minimizes or even erases the Jewish connection to Israel, the organization effectively seeks to undermine one of the most central tenets of our faith and identity," the letter says. "JVP’s stance is a rejection of compromise and coexistence in favor of radical zealotry."

"By misrepresenting who it is, who it speaks for, and what it believes, Jewish Voice for Peace undermines the Jewish people, principles of the Jewish religion, and our deep connection to Israel. We call upon the people of Maryland to be clear-eyed about what this group is," the letter says.

In a separate letter, more than 400 Jewish community members from Maryland also rejected the JVP conference.

"JVP is an bad boy group that weaponizes the Jewish identity of some of their members," the letter says.

"JVP’s relentless anti-Zionist rhetoric, which calls for the elimination of Israel as a Jewish state, represents a fringe view that is rejected by the community," the letter says, citing polling that shows the vast majority of American Jews believe that denying Israel’s right to exist is antisemitic.

"We, the undersigned members of the Baltimore Jewish community, affirm that JVP does not represent us. Their agenda is the fringe of the fringe, and we, as a community, are clear that this ideology carries no weight in Baltimore," the petition says.

Signatories include Maryland state politicians Dalya Attar and Dana Stein, chair of the Jewish Federation of Baltimore Bruce Hoffberger, and Baltimore Jewish Council director Howard Libit.

Jonathan Schulman, the head of the Jewish Majority advocacy group, said he helped organize the letters starting around two weeks ago when he was contacted by frustrated local community members.

"It’s not right for an organization to come into this community and say this is what the Jewish community stands for when in fact the Jewish community stands for the direct opposite," Schulman said. "There’s a real imperative in the community to shine a light on people pretending to speak for the community who are actually focused on undermining the community’s values.

JVP did not respond to a request for comment about the letters or about how many of the attendees are expected to be Jewish.
About that…
JVP is the leading anti-Zionist Jewish activist group in the US. The national group and its affiliated chapters have been involved in harsh anti-Israel protests on and off campuses around the US.

Government Corruption
Elon Musk looks back on 100 days of DOGE, previews future of the 'long-term enterprise'
[FoxNews] Musk and members of the DOGE team sat down for an exclusive interview on 'Jesse Watters Primetime'

As President Donald Trump marked his 100th day in office on Tuesday, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) said it has cut at least $160 billion in waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government.

While the department has made several high-profile cuts during the Trump administration's first 100 days, DOGE head Elon Musk shared that Trump's cost-cutting is just getting started.

"It's a long-term enterprise," Musk said during an exclusive interview Thursday on "Jesse Watters Primetime." "Because if we take our eye off the ball, the waste and fraud will come roaring back."

Watters joined Musk and several team members at the DOGE headquarters, including "Big Balls," who revealed the story behind his nickname and detailed his work rooting out fraud and waste.

The DOGE minds elaborated on more shocking discoveries from the department's first months during their "Jesse Watters Primetime" exclusive.

With no plans of slowing down, DOGE has made a number of consequential and controversial cuts in recent months.

One of the most talked-about DOGE targets in Trump's first term was spending at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Fox News Digital previously reported that nearly 15,000 grants worth $60 billion are set to be eliminated, according to internal documents. The grants amount to about 90% of foreign aid contracts and come after a review on spending by the State Department.

DOGE's efforts at USAID did not come without opposition, including a federal judge in Maryland who ruled that the moves were likely unconstitutional. In March, a federal appeals court granted the Trump administration's motion to extend a stay allowing DOGE to continue operating at USAID.

DOGE has also announced over the past few months that it has cut hundreds of millions in DEI contracts and made efforts to cut federal spending by trimming the federal workforce.

"If there's one group of people who really have a shot at success, it's the people here. They're up until 2 a.m. Monday through Sunday. DOGE does not recognize weekends," one DOGE member told Fox News host Jesse Watters.

As the team shared cases of wasteful spending from top departments to smaller agencies, Watters asked how the findings made Musk and the DOGE members feel.

"Unfortunately, like the 100th time you've heard it, it's hard not to get a little numb, and by the 200th time, you're like, well, OK, it was just another day at the office," Musk replied.

DOGE's efforts have prompted opposition from Democratic lawmakers and many in the American public. From protests to vandalism, public outrage against Musk and DOGE has escalated over the past 100 days.

One DOGE member, who joined Musk on "Jesse Watters Primetime," revealed he dropped out of Harvard University to "serve my country," but faced backlash.

"It's been unfortunate to see lost friendships. Most of campus hates me now, but I think fundamentally, I hope people realize through conversations like this that reform is genuinely needed."

Another DOGE member praised the work to bring about "permanent change" in the federal government.

While DOGE has made a mark on the first 100 days of Trump's second term, the department is still running full steam ahead even as Musk begins his planned departure.

Trump Administration Eyes New Destination for Illegal Immigrants — and It''s Not El Salvador
[TOWNHALL] The Trump administration is reportedly considering sending illegal immigrants colonists with criminal records to Libya and Rwanda.
Europe had hoped to do the same with their unwanted migrants/Moslem colonists, but last I heard it didn’t take. Perhaps if they’d had a Trump in their pocket…
CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
reported on Wednesday that the administration is currently in talks with the governments of the two nations to facilitate such a deal. The report suggests this could be an effort to deter foreigners from entering the US illegally.

abuses — especially in their prisons.

Libya’s prison conditions are often described as inhumane and life-threatening. The nation’s government incarcerates migrants colonists, political prisoners, asylum seekers who face torture and other types of abuse in facilities controlled by the state and armed militias.

The same is true of Rwanda. The nation’s prisons also reportedly mete out torture while keeping inmates in harsh conditions. They are often overcrowded, with inmates dealing with inadequate water, food, and sanitation. There have been several reports of rampant physical abuse, such as beatings and coerced confessions.

If the administration adopts such a policy, it is sure to face numerous legal challenges, as is the case with most of his other immigration policies.

Army soldier arrested in massive Colorado underground nightclub raid, charged with cocaine distribution
[FoxNews] Staff Sgt Juan Gabriel Orona-Rodriguez was one of several service members present at club that led to the arrest of 100 illegal aliens

An Army soldier who was arrested as part of a raid on an underground nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, last week is suspected of possessing and distributing cocaine while also trafficking firearms with high-capacity magazines to illegal aliens, according to a criminal complaint.
Oh dear.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado announced Thursday that 28-year-old Staff Sgt. Juan Gabriel Orona-Rodriguez has been charged with a single count each of distribution of and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
He shames the uniform. Throw all the books at him.
Filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado on Wednesday, the criminal complaint alleges that Orona-Rodriguez sold cocaine to an undercover Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent the week of April 21.

Investigators executed a search warrant on the suspect’s cellphone and allegedly found text messages between Sept. 16, 2024, and April 9, 2025, that suggested he repeatedly purchased and sold cocaine to other individuals.

The affidavit notes that Orona-Rodriguez is suspected of unlawfully trafficking firearms, including those with high-capacity magazines, to illegal aliens. It also says Orona-Rodriguez is assigned to Fort Carson in Colorado Springs.

Along with serving in the Army, Orona-Rodriguez is employed by Immortal Security LLC, the affidavit claims, which provides armed security to nightclubs as well as an unlawful nightclub called Warike in Colorado Springs, which was the location of a major DEA raid early Sunday morning that resulted in the arrest of at least 114 illegal immigrants.

During the raid, authorities uncovered drugs, including pink cocaine, as well as evidence of prostitution and multiple firearms during the operation, the DEA said.

The same underground nightclub is frequented by Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gang members, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Prior to the raid, the Colorado Springs Police Department received 911 calls related to Warike, citing a wide variety of alleged crimes, including weapons violations, assault, narcotics and other violent crimes.

Orona-Rodriguez was one of more than a dozen Army service members at Warike when the search warrant was executed in the wee hours of Sunday.

The FBI special agent who filed the affidavit wrote that, based on information from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division, Orona-Rodriguez received a developmental counseling form from his commanding officer in the spring of 2025 related to activity involving Immortal Security, particularly regarding allegations of drug distribution and firearms.

The form came from Orona-Rodriguez’s commanding officer, the agent wrote, and the suspect was told at that time that Immortal Security Operation LLC was off-limits to members of the Armed Forces.

Specifically, Orona-Rodriguez was told in March 2025, "You are prohibited in engaging in off-duty employment without the approval of the Battalion Commander IAW 4ID…"

Orona-Rodriguez does not have any prior felony convictions, the agent noted.

Bondi applauded the operation, which included 300 officials across multiple agencies, including the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

"This morning @DEAHQ apprehended over 100 illegal aliens at an underground nightclub frequented by Tda and MS-13 terrorists," Bondi said in a post on X. "Cocaine, meth, and pink cocaine was seized."

Islamabad again urges India to accept neutral investigation offer
[GEO.TV] Defence Minister Khawaja Asif reiterated Pakistain's call for an impartial international investigation into the Pahalgam incident.

Speaking to a private news channel, he stated that Islamabad remains open to any neutral inquiry mechanism, including a United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
commission or a joint probe by countries maintaining relations with both India and Pakistain.

''The offer for an impartial international investigation still stands,'' the minister stressed. ''Whether it's a UN-led commission or a joint inquiry involving two or three neutral countries with relevant expertise. We are prepared. India must also cooperate if it has nothing to hide.''

He argued that India's reluctance to allow an independent inquiry stems from concerns that inconvenient facts may emerge.

''Voices challenging the credibility of India's claims are growing internally. No international forum has endorsed their narrative. Instead, serious questions are being raised globally,'' he added.

When asked about the broader implications, he remarked that desperation is evident in New Delhi. He further asserted that Modi's actions—driven by political motives, a hunger for power, and Hindutva ideology — pose a serious threat to regional stability.

100 Days Off-Plan: Why Trump Fired National Security Advisor
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Malek Dudakov

[REGNUM] Washington lasted exactly one hundred days before the first major reshuffle in the White House began. Right on that date, the disgraced US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz was dismissed.

Rumors of his dismissal have been circulating for a long time. After all, it was Waltz who managed to find himself in the epicenter of the drama with secret chats in the Signal messenger. He “accidentally” added journalists there, who revealed the inner workings of Donald Trump’s team.

However, the Signal scandal is more of a pretext for Waltz's dismissal. The real reasons lie somewhat deeper.

The figure of the now-retired adviser initially provoked a less than positive response from many MAGA activists and Trump supporters.

Waltz looked to them like a typical hawkish neocon of the 2000s. Incidentally, he had even managed to work for a time in the George W. Bush administration.

Waltz's choice in forming the team was made for several reasons.

First, he was part of a club of Florida politicians who have serious influence in Mar-a-Lago. Waltz has been a congressman from Florida since 2019 and was involved specifically in the international and military agenda. His previous military service experience was evident.

His military background is the second reason why he was chosen. He was a colonel in the US Army Special Forces. The current Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, is also from there.

Trump wants to bet on these special forces in the context of his major reform of the US military machine. In his first term, he paid more attention to the Marines, but now the priorities have changed.

Waltz tried his best to adapt to the president's agenda and hide his hawkish views, but he did not always succeed.

Waltz's wife, Julia Nesheiwat, was also criticized. She worked as a military intelligence officer in several American administrations, specializing in the Middle East region. She also collaborated with the Davos Forum and the Council on Foreign Relations, although they were ideologically closer to the Democrats.

In recent times, Waltz has been the most vocal proponent of escalation in the Middle East among Trump's apparatchiks.

He proposed not only waging war against the Houthis, but even launching a missile strike on nuclear facilities in Iran.

At the last moment, these intentions were stopped by the realists in the White House - J.D. Vance and Tulsi Gabbard. After all, the consequences of such radical militarism could be catastrophic - with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and chaos on the world oil market.

After the Signal chat scandal, Waltz was asked to step back for a while. Trump promised to give him a talk but not fire him.

But then the situation began to change. The first hundred days of the presidency were approaching, and there were not many successes to brag about to voters.

The trade wars have ended in complete chaos and attempts to quickly negotiate with individual countries to remove tariffs. Dialogue with Russia and Iran is ongoing, but it will clearly take longer to achieve any significant deals.

The White House's standoff with European hawks continues. However, in the end, they managed to force Kyiv to sign the forced "rare earth" deal.

Ukraine ultimately received neither security guarantees nor promises of new investments. For Trump, this is now a reason to announce the possibility of earning $350 billion from the development of Ukrainian mineral resources. Regardless of how many minerals will actually be extracted on the territory of this country.

They tried to sign the deal on Ukraine just in time for the 100th day of the presidency, so that the White House could be told of some success. But this is clearly not enough.

And now Waltz has simply been made the scapegoat for all the mistakes and failures of Trump's first three months in office.

It is the president's prerogative to fire his advisers, and this can be done by simple executive orders. There is no need to wait for Senate approval and confirmation, as is the case with ministerial appointments.

The positions of the other two hawks in the White House, Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, are also quite shaky.

The first one also managed to get into trouble due to leaks of secret data. For some reason, he took his wife to closed meetings of NATO defense ministers.

Rubio, like Waltz, simply cannot boast of any successes in his first hundred days.

However, replacing them is a much more difficult process. It will take too long to push new candidates through the Senate.

Waltz could be replaced by Steve Witkoff, the current special envoy for contacts with Russia and Iran. He is now literally carrying the entire US foreign policy on his shoulders.

Witkoff, unlike Waltz, is a realist and does not want to allow a major escalation - be it in Ukraine or the Middle East. This may mean that, for example, the Trump team is now abandoning the concept of a direct military attack on Iran.

However, for now, Rubio will serve as acting national security adviser.

Whitkoff will certainly be under pressure to achieve progress in Russian-American negotiations.

The White House has already set itself the next deadline - the second hundred days, which expire closer to mid-August. During this time, it is necessary to show results both in contacts with Russia and in dialogue with Iran.

After today's reshuffle, Waltz received a consolation prize: the job of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Trump's team had originally wanted to appoint New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, but that idea was ultimately abandoned.

The reason is that the Republican majority in the House of Representatives is very fragile: every vote is worth its weight in gold. So the retired Waltz is sent to the UN, where he can criticize China, Iran and other opponents of the United States with a clear conscience.

The White House shakeup could be seen as an admission by his team that their first 100 days have not gone according to plan, although Trump's second term has been far less chaotic than his first.

But if serious progress is not achieved in the second hundred days, there will be a reshuffle with ministers.

Recently, news appeared about Rubio's possible presence at the Victory Day celebrations on May 9 in Moscow. Washington has not confirmed the information, but the White House may well send some emissary to Russia.

The US administration needs to intensify negotiations on Ukraine, sanctions, Iran and other important topics. For Trump's foreign policy team, this is now an obvious priority.

She wants to act again using the carrot and stick method. Offer Russia her own version of a deal on the Ukrainian crisis and at the same time threaten to introduce 500% secondary tariffs on oil if the negotiation process drags on.

Rubio could very well play the role of the bad cop in this dialogue.

However, in any case, the apparatus positions of the hawks in the White House will gradually weaken after Waltz’s resignation.

In the future, much will depend on the current international situation and the ability of the American administration to influence it.

Overall, the intra-apparatus confrontation between hawks and realists in Trump’s team will likely be long-lasting and will determine the White House policy for the next four years.

Extremist with massive arsenal allegedly swapped attack plans with school shooter Natalie Rupnow
By Patrick Reilly

[NYPost] A Florida extremist who stockpiled a massive arsenal of guns and ammunition had chatted for months with school shooter Natalie Rupnow — sharing love notes and mutual plans to shoot up multiple locations, including churches and police departments, according to authorities.

Damien Allen, 22, was found with eight guns — including fully automatic assault rifles — along with over 12,000 rounds of ammunition and grenades and flashbangs at his family’s home in Loxahatchee, officials said at a press conference Wednesday.

“There is no doubt that [the investigators] have stopped a mass shooting,” Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said.

“This guy was ready to go, had all these weapons, had the propensity to do it — it was just a matter of what day was going to set him off.”

Allen had been in contact with Rupnow, 15, for months before she shot up a private Christian school in Wisconsin in December, killing two and wounding six others before taking her own life, the officials said.

“We go down together,” Allen told Rupnow in one TikTok exchange in June, six months before she carried out her evil plot, according to an affidavit obtained by WISN.

The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. [Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Yale University professor has sparked outrage by suggesting the only way to deal with Japan's rapidly aging population is a mass suicide and disembowelment.

Yusuke Narita, an assistant professor of economics at Yale, defended his views in a New York Times

...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

'I feel like the only solution is pretty clear,' he said at the time. 'In the end, isn't it mass suicide and mass 'seppuku' of the elderly?'

British police probing Irish band Kneecap over videos praising Hamas, Hezbollah
[IsraelTimes] London police say a counter-terrorism probe has been opened into online videos of Irish-language rappers Kneecap in response to claims the band supported Hamas and Hezbollah and incited violence against politicians.

The capital’s Metropolitan Police says two videos had been “referred to the Counter Terrorism Internet Referral Unit for assessment by specialist officers, who have determined there are grounds for further investigation into potential offenses linked to both videos.”

The band denies the allegations.

The accusations first surfaced after the band projected “Fuck Israel, Free Palestine” on stage while performing at Coachella last month.

Israeli forces arrest a Palestinian journalist in West Bank, say he was working with Islamic Jihad
[IsraelTimes] Israel’s military says it arrested Ali Samoudi, a well-known journalist, in an overnight raid in Jenin in the northern West Bank

Samoudi previously worked for international outlets including CNN and Al Jazeera. In 2022, he was injured in the same spray of gunfire that killed prominent Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. US officials say Abu Akleh was shot dead by an Israeli sniper.

Israel’s military says Samoudi was affiliated with and transferred funds for the Islamic Jihad group, without providing evidence. They say Samoudi had been transferred to Israel’s security forces.

LI gangbanger busted in major takedown day after he's released from jail: prosecutors
[NYPOST] A recidivist gangbanger accused of plotting an attack on a rival drug pusher while behind bars was put back on the streets by officials in Albany — only to be busted again as part of violent mostly peaceful Long Island street crew, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney told The Post.

Joseph Baker, 34, was arraigned Thursday on a 23-count indictment alleging that, while incarcerated, he ordered five fellow 9 Trey Bloods gang members to shoot a longtime adversary in the legs in exchange for $10,000 last November, newly unsealed charging documents revealed.

But when Sherlocks went to arrest Baker on April 23 at Cayuga Correctional Facility, where he was serving a three-year stint for drug possession, he was nowhere to be found.

Wikipedia:
The Nine Trey Gangster Bloods or Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods (NTG)[6] (also referred to as Bentley's or Billionaires)[7][8][9] are a "set" of the United Blood Nation street gang,[10] which is itself a set of the Bloods gang.[11][12][13] The gang operates on the East Coast of the United States.

The gang initially sold various narcotics including heroin, crack cocaine and PCP throughout Harlem.
Nowadays they sell illegal and prescription drugs, sex traffic women, racketeer, and deal in counterfeit American currency from New Jersey to North Carolina.

Why I was wrong about Donald Trump — he''s a ''strange attractor'' with a mission
[NYPOST] In retrospect, I can see that the sources of error lay within me. Trump is one of a kind and escaped my ready-made categories. He's also a mixture of popular culture and personal weirdness — the hair, the hand gestures, the dancing — which everything in my background told me was not to be taken seriously.

Let me offer a significant example: political oratory. My models of eloquence in political speech are Winston Churchill and Ronald Reagan. When, on YouTube or television, their voices speak to me from beyond the grave, my heart beats faster and I'm overcome with sadness that nobody today delivers such an effect.

Trump's rhetoric leaves me cold. When he spoke of ''American carnage'' in his first inaugural address, I had no idea what he was talking about. When he proclaimed a ''golden age'' to coincide with his second presidency, it sounded like empty bragging.

How he deals with important issues is perplexing to me. He berates adversaries, high and low, in a manner that seems petty and often childish. His style of talking, which he calls ''the weave,'' spins around and around and seldom arrives at its destination.

All this could be interpreted as a criticism of Trump, but I intend it rather as a partial explanation of why I failed to obtain an accurate picture of the man. Trump, after all, is a performer who carried a trivial reality TV show to popularity for more than a decade — he well knows how to communicate with the American public. And I get the humor.

Watching Trump be Trump can be vastly entertaining; there's no predicting what he will say next.

The key to the Trump rhetoric may be found in that unique ritual — part county fair, part revival meeting — known as the ''Trump rally.''

What becomes evident from viewing these events on TV is that Trump loves the adoration of the crowd. But more than this, he loves the crowd itself, the proximity to ordinary people.

He may be the only American politician who currently displays, and knows how to convey, a visceral affection for voters. He's clearly energized in their presence, to the extent that he never wants the show to end. Just like some operatic arias offer an excuse for the diva to flaunt her vocal skills, the meanderings of the weave are Trump's pretext for keeping himself in front of his audience.

That's his moment of transcendence.

The style, with its comical insults, first-person informality, and wandering attention span, fits perfectly into the modalities of digital communication. This isn't by design. It's just the way he talks, the first of many coincidences favoring him with which we must come to terms. Trump is a boomer, who, online, sounds like a zoomer.

He's a face-to-face personality transmuted, almost physically, into the virtual realm. He was the Beethoven of Twitter during his first presidency, the loudest voice amid the uproar of what Jonathan Haidt has called the digital Tower of Babel.

Russia to demand international investigation into Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on Aleshki
Russia will demand an international investigation into the Ukrainian army's attack on Aleshky in the Kherson region. This was stated on May 1 by the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for the Crimes of the Kiev Regime Rodion Miroshnik.

"According to the norms of international humanitarian law, the murder of civilians and attempts on the life and health of the civilian population is one of the most significant crimes. Therefore, we will not give them (international human rights organizations. - Ed.) a chance to ignore what happened today in Oleshky," the Kherson News Agency quoted Miroshnik as saying.

He noted that while Russia has not yet seen a reaction from international structures, Moscow intends to persistently seek it.

"All the supporting documents will be collected in the near future and handed over to our delegations representing Russia's interests at major international venues. In the UN Security Council, the OSCE, and the Human Rights Council," the Russian diplomat noted.

Russia will demand active action from international human rights organizations, “especially those that so often call the Kiev regime respectful of the norms of international humanitarian law,” Miroshnik added.

88 Dead Seals Found on Caspian Sea Shore in Kazakhstan
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] In Kazakhstan, 88 dead seals were found on the shores of the Caspian Sea. This was reported on May 1 by the republic's fisheries committee.

"On April 29... 88 seal carcasses were found washed up on the coast. At present, it is difficult to determine the causes of death of the aquatic animals due to the significant amount of time that has passed since the animals' presumed death (2-3 weeks)," says a message published on the social network Instagram (banned in Russia, owned by the Meta company, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

It is noted that it is impossible to conduct a high-quality sampling for analysis due to the significant decomposition of the carcasses. The dead endangered animals were removed from the coast, and the fact of death was registered by police officers.

The Price of the Adventure: What Kyiv Paid for the Invasion of Kursk Oblast
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Sergey Adamov

[REGNUM] The counteroffensive in the Kursk region became one of the most successful operations of the Russian Armed Forces. In a short time, our army was able to liberate dozens of settlements and the city of Sudzha, driving out the enemy.

Fighting in the Kursk region has continued for the past eight months since the invasion. During this time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been trying to expand their foothold in the border area, attempting to occupy other areas of the Kursk and Belgorod regions.

The invasion was supposed to divert some Russian forces from Donbass, but all of Kiev's plans completely failed. The fighting led to major losses in the Ukrainian Armed Forces - the loss of military equipment and professional soldiers, said Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov.

"The total losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces formations amounted to more than 76 thousand people killed and wounded. In essence, one composition of the initial enemy group and even more were knocked out," Gerasimov noted in a report to President Vladimir Putin.

Gerasimov added that during the counter-terrorist operation in the border area, over 7.7 thousand units of military equipment were destroyed, including 412 tanks, 340 infantry fighting vehicles, 314 armored personnel carriers and about 2.3 thousand other armored combat vehicles.

Observers on social networks, analyzing data from open sources, were able to specify the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and named the number of armored vehicles supplied by NATO countries lost by Ukrainian troops.

CEMETERY OF WHEELED ARMORED VEHICLES
At the initial stage of the invasion of the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces relied on mobile units of airborne troops, equipped primarily with wheeled armored vehicles. The troops were tasked with breaking through as far as possible into Russian territory in order to maximize the bridgehead.

The operational actions of the Russian Armed Forces in the first days of the invasion made it possible to stop it, push back or destroy individual enemy units that had broken away from the operational rear. The wheeled armored vehicles on which the Ukrainian paratroopers were trying to break through to the rear were destroyed.

According to the analytical portal Lostarmour, during the fighting in the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops lost at least 40 American-made M1126 Stryker armored personnel carriers. (These figures were obtained based on photos and videos published online, so the actual number of losses may be higher.)

In 2023, Ukrainian troops received the first batch of 100 vehicles of this model from the United States. The Pentagon subsequently signed a contract with General Dynamics to supply a large batch. The statistics also included vehicles destroyed in the adjacent territory - in the Sumy region of Ukraine.

Among the losses of Ukrainian light armored vehicles are at least 37 Bradley IFVs and about 40 American-made M113 IFVs, 13 CV90 IFVs supplied by Sweden, and at least seven German Marder IFVs.

In addition, according to analysts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost a large number of wheeled armored vehicles - at least 300 units, including American Humvees and Maxx Pros, Turkish Kirpi armored vehicles and Ukrainian-made light armored vehicles.

LARGE-SCALE DESTRUCTION
As Russian troops pushed back the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Kyiv was forced to send additional forces to the new front, including heavy armor and artillery.

The mechanized 17th, 47th, 41st, 22nd, 61st, 116th and 88th brigades of the Ukrainian army joined the airborne units. Individual units were introduced into Russian territory and, having suffered heavy losses, were withdrawn for rotation to the rear. Their place was taken by units, including those withdrawn from the fronts in Donbass and Zaporizhia Oblast.

To save the front, even American M1A2 Abrams tanks were transferred to the border area. At least five vehicles were lost by Ukrainian troops during the fighting. It is known that the US delivered no more than 30 tanks of this model to Ukraine.

Earlier it became known that Australia will not deliver decommissioned Abrams tanks in the M1A1 modification to Ukraine. According to information ABC, The Pentagon is slowing down the delivery of new armored vehicles to the Australian Armed Forces, which is why local authorities have changed their minds about reducing their own arsenals in the interests of Kiev.

Therefore, the loss of each individual vehicle in the Kursk region can be considered irreparable.

In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost about a hundred Soviet/Ukrainian-made tanks.

The losses in rocket artillery were truly fatal for Kyiv. The 27th rocket artillery brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was deployed in Sumy Oblast to provide fire cover for units operating on Russian territory. They also carried out terrorist shelling of populated areas in the rear of Russian troops.

However, artillery installations brought close to the border became prey for Russian aviation and missile troops. During the fighting in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost at least five HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and several M270 MLRS (a tracked version of HIMARS designed to launch 12 rockets).

But even the use of the best army units and Western armored vehicles did not allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to maintain control over the captured section of Russian territory. In mid-March, Ukrainian troops decided to try their luck again and create another bridgehead, this time on the territory of the Krasnoyarsk district of the Belgorod region.

DEFEAT IN THE BORDERLANDS
During the first half of March, Kyiv began to concentrate a new offensive group near the borders of the Belgorod region. The main offensive force was planned to be the 225th and 33rd assault regiments, as well as the 22nd and 47th mechanized brigades (previously withdrawn from the territory of the Kursk region) and the 17th heavy mechanized brigade.

At the same time, the enemy tried to create several battalion-tactical groups, trying not to concentrate large forces in one point. The units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were reinforced by formations of the National Guard and border troops. The offensive was preceded by artillery strikes and even Ukrainian aviation.

During the fierce battles, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to cross the state border and break through to the settlements of Popovka and Demidovka. However, the breakthrough was detected and stopped in time. Several large army columns were tracked down by drone operators and completely destroyed on the march.

One of them destroyed several tanks, as well as a rare UR-77 Meteorite mine clearing system. Another modernized Abrams was also destroyed in the border area.

By mid-April, the enemy had been driven out of the Demidovka area and retreated to Popovka. By April 26, the entire territory of the Belgorod region was completely liberated. Another Kyiv adventure cost the Ukrainian Armed Forces several dozen armored vehicles, including two Bradley IFVs and one Marder IFV.

However, none of the attempts to gain a foothold on Russian territory have fulfilled their main task - to pull the Russian Armed Forces units out of Donbass. Over the course of eight months since the start of the fighting in the Kursk region, Russian troops have liberated dozens of settlements in the territory of the DPR and Zaporizhia region, including the cities of Ugledar and Kurakhovo.

In the future, the losses incurred during the unsuccessful raids in the Kursk and Belgorod regions may also have an impact on other sections of the front, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already experiencing a shortage of manpower and military equipment.

The US-Ukraine Fossil Deal: Bondage and Conflict with China
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Andrey Khrustalev

[REGNUM] On the eve of May Day, Ukraine finally signed a mining agreement with the United States. This happened on Wednesday evening, just before Walpurgis Night, when, according to medieval tradition, witches gathered for the Sabbath. The text of the document has not yet been published, but some of the outlines of the agreements can already be traced.

The Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, who reported the event, published a brief summary of what was signed. On paper, or more precisely, on social networks, where the post appeared, everything looks quite decent.

“The document is now such that it can ensure success for both of our countries – Ukraine and the United States,” the minister wrote.

So why was Ukraine reluctant to sign the document? After all, when Sviridenko's plane headed to Washington, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's team told her she had to be ready to sign all the agreements or go home, three people familiar with the matter said, the Financial Times reports.

And it all happened after the US reportedly dropped conditions related to Ukraine repaying debts for previous military and financial aid. “Today we reached an agreement under which, theoretically, we get much more than $350 billion,” US President Donald Trump wrote in this regard.

And unblocked commercial supplies of weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

What was the struggle for so long under the carpet, and what were Ukrainian officials trying to bargain for?

PROS AND CONS
The main advantage for Kyiv is that the agreement does not contain any mention of any debt obligations of Ukraine to the United States, something Trump had previously insisted on.

The main drawback is that no one in Ukraine or the United States has reported on the security guarantees for Ukraine attached to the agreement, which Zelensky had previously insisted on.

The document has not yet been published, but its contents have been posted by “Sorosenok” Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a people’s deputy from the “Voice” party, who (according to him) has sources somewhere in the State Department, and what Minister Sviridenko and Prime Minister Denys Shmygal have published on social networks.

The deal includes an agreement to establish the U.S.-Ukraine Recovery Investment Fund. The parties will jointly manage the Fund, with a 50/50 shareholding. "Neither side will prevail, and this will reflect an equal partnership between Ukraine and the United States," the minister writes.

The first is represented by the state Agency for the Support of Public-Private Partnerships, the second by the International Development Finance Corporation, and together they must work to restore what has been destroyed through investments in natural resources (mining, energy) and infrastructure.

And here the questions immediately begin.

The project financing scheme looks like this. Ukraine undertakes to send half (50%) of royalties and other license payments from new licenses for natural resources (oil, gas, metals, etc.) from a special fund in the budget to the fund. And the senior partner makes a "financial contribution, which can be additionally increased thanks to military assistance provided by the United States to Ukraine."

In practice, it may look like this: the Americans supply several Patriot air defense systems on a commercial basis, each worth $1 billion. All of this is counted toward the Fund, which must compensate the Ukrainian side for this amount with new licenses for the extraction of minerals.

For example, the US will supply Ukraine with five obsolete MIM-104 Patriot air defense systems, which Israel refused in May last year and which Ukraine wanted to receive. And Ukraine, on the basis of a shared participation, must issue licenses for the same amount - that is, put up for sale licenses for the development of minerals for $5 billion.

At the same time, the licenses must be put up for sale at a price for which they will actually be wanted in the conditions of increased risk in the form of war and corruption that has not gone away. So the amount will be determined by the Fund's management, also made up of half representatives of the USA and Ukraine. And here there is no doubt whose vote will be decisive.

The management of the processes “in the fields” is entrusted to the DFC company, but more about it later.

This money goes to the budget of Ukraine, and from there half is transferred to the newly created Fund. "Ukraine contributes 50% of the state budget revenues from the new rent for new licenses for new sites," Sviridenko notes, emphasizing the word "new," and then explains that the funds are invested in projects for the extraction of minerals, oil, and gas, as well as in related infrastructure or processing. What to invest in - Ukraine and the United States will again decide together.

It sounds attractive, if not for one “but”.

Investing is only possible in Ukraine, but the provisions are only about investments, not about income or new receipts. As you can see, the agreement does not mention them. Officials express the hope that the income and receipts of the fund will not be distributed for the first 10 years, and this is probably where one of the document's quirks may be hidden. The difference between expectations and reality is why Kyiv did not want to sign the documents.

WALL AGAINST CHINA
Trump is clearly set on making a profit on the principle of "here and now", so the income and contributions of the Fund are not taxed either in the USA or in Ukraine. It looks like a prelude to the creation of a new virtual offshore, funds from which can be withdrawn without taxes and control - from any side, and without control and restrictions.

Moreover, the Fund (the American side) receives priority rights to buy products extracted on the territory of Ukraine (for example, natural gas, rare metals, oil). And the "owners" undertake to ensure that third countries or companies do not receive more favorable conditions. Which, as MP Zheleznyak explains, "will significantly limit Ukraine's ability to choose the most favorable commercial conditions and partners."

At the same time, the Ukrainian side, which will lose budget revenues for many years, is obliged to compensate for all losses from exchange rate fluctuations and losses from converting the hryvnia into dollars. And the priority of the agreement over local legislation limits the right of the "sovereign state" to independently regulate laws in the sphere of investments and natural resources.

Obviously, this was also a stumbling block for her, since a partnership of this kind (and the agreement is indefinite) obviously quotes the 500-hryvnia banknote: “Unequal equality for all.”

Trump reiterated that the deal would allow Americans to return some of the aid they provided to Ukraine.

"We invested $350 billion or so there, while Europe only invested $100 billion. So we have to somehow get some of our investment back. I felt stupid. So I went to them (the Ukrainian authorities. - Ed.) and said: look, we need to get access to rare earth elements. They have excellent rare earth resources - these are certain minerals, materials that are not available everywhere. This is their big asset.

And today we made a deal where, theoretically, we will get much more than this 350 billion. I just wanted to protect our interests. I didn’t want to be put in a stupid position again,” said the American president, who is openly “cheating” Zelensky with his continued whining about “solid security guarantees.”

According to Trump, the very presence of Americans within the framework of the concluded deal is a firm guarantee. "No one will encroach."

By signing the deal with his approval ratings slumping 100 days into his presidency, he secured the victory he needed. And that victory must come with actual profits.

US GDP contracted by 0.3% in the first quarter of 2025, the largest quarterly contraction since 2022, meaning the sooner the money arrives, the better. And perhaps that was the reason for his phrase that “Zelensky was three weeks late signing it.”

And now, the promised details about the DFC agency.

As Minister Sviridenko informs us, the Fund is supported by the US government through this office, which “will help us attract investments and technologies from funds and companies both in the US and in the EU and other countries.”

However, it is worth knowing that the US International Development Finance Corporation, also known as the US Development Finance Corporation, is a federal agency that has the same status as USAID and USIP, which were recently dissolved by Trump.

The difference is that it was created with bipartisan support from Congress during the first Trump administration to provide private sector financing for development projects in low- and middle-income countries.

The agency was intended to be a system for proposing alternative projects to China's "New Silk Belt and Road" infrastructure initiatives. Its first head was Adam Boehler, a close ally of Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, but he left the post in January 2021.

Agency officials say its mandate to link private investment with government loans is critical to U.S. efforts to compete with China, Politico reports. The DFC has played a key role in securing hundreds of millions of dollars in loan assistance for a U.S.-led effort to build a trans-African rail system that would bring critical mineral resources from central Africa to Atlantic ports. The project, known as the Lobito Corridor, is seen as a major competitor to Beijing’s projects in the continent.

The presence or even the main role of the DFC in Ukraine could lead to a deep confrontation between Beijing and Kyiv, the consequences of which for Ukraine could be disastrous. In recent years, China has become the country's main trading partner, but with the start of the agency's activities, the situation could change dramatically, and Kyiv will find itself at the forefront of the fight against the Chinese presence in the region.

All this looks more like forecasts for now, which can be clarified only after the official publication of the main documents. And in the case of China - after the first actions of the DFC.

In the meantime, Henry Kissinger’s words come to mind again : “To be America’s enemy is dangerous, to be America’s friend is fatal.” Especially when starting projects on the eve of Walpurgis Night.

'Tentacles of the Sheikhs': Qatar is beating Israel with the help of hired Americans
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Leonid Tsukanov

[REGNUM] Israeli law enforcement officials continue to investigate the case that has shaken the country, alleging the involvement of high-ranking officials (including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ) in whitewashing Qatar's reputation (the so-called "Qatargate").

It seemed that by the beginning of April the positions of both sides would be studied inside and out, and there would be no new sensations in the case. However, a month later, "Qatargate" returned to the front pages of newspapers.

And not only Israeli, but also Qatari. Doha, which had kept silent for a long time, saw in "Qatargate" a threat to national security and a "rare chance" for its opponents.

"QATARI MANUAL"
After a series of "fan" interrogations, the main defendants in the case - the Israeli Prime Minister's confidants Eli Feldstein and Yonatan Urich - remained under house arrest, while Netanyahu himself was interrogated several times by investigative bodies "in a special manner." However, to no avail.

Attempts to expand the list of suspects by adding several other minor leak cases to Qatargate also led to nothing: the new suspects, at worst, received official reprimands.

The prosecution continues to insist that the investigation is proceeding at an “advanced pace.” At the last public hearing, held in late March, law enforcement officials reported receiving “breakthrough” information about the secret financial flows that fueled the scandalous scheme.

However, by that time, ordinary Israelis had almost stopped following what was happening in the courts. The proceedings had turned into a bureaucratic skirmish typical of the local judicial system and did not promise any unexpected turns. However, a new surge of interest in the case came from the "other side."

It happened after Israeli investigative journalist Roni Yanovsky deliberately leaked the "Qatari playbook" online. The main thematic lines that journalists from the government pool (and publications close to it) were supposed to follow when covering events in Gaza.

Thus, the main blame for the aggravation of the situation around the enclave was to be placed on Egypt. Allegedly, Cairo turned a blind eye to the smuggling of weapons and ammunition into Gaza through its territory, and also maintained contacts with the Hamas leadership through intelligence.

The reader must have gotten the impression that the Egyptian leadership had condoned the strengthening of the Palestinian resistance behind Tel Aviv's back and therefore could not play a leading mediating role and must cede it to Doha.

The relations between Qatar and Israel are presented in a completely different way. According to the theses cited by Yanovsky, Qatar allegedly met Israel halfway when it asked to “shelter” the Hamas leadership in Doha.

This was supposedly done so that Palestinian functionaries would always remain in the sight of the intelligence services and would not move to Iran or Yemen, under the de facto protection of Tehran.

And the contacts with Qatar (with which Tel Aviv still has no diplomatic relations) were presented as a strategic alliance.

It was through Qatari airspace that the first Israeli planes were supposed to invade Iran and attack its nuclear facilities.

This formulation of the question should, in theory, justify the increased contacts between Tel Aviv and Doha, while simultaneously calming anti-Arab politicians.

Traces of Qatari propaganda were found not only in the ultra-right media (on which the main focus was placed), but also on the pages of heavyweight publications such as the oldest Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

And although the journalist did not provide an exact list of the publications involved in whitewashing Qatar's reputation, the idea that the entire Israeli media machine was actually working for Doha ran through his article like a red thread. And with the consent of the authorities.

"MIRROR MEASURES" PROMISED
Israeli social media users immediately began analyzing publications in national media over the past year and a half in search of Qatar's tentacles and fishing out quotes that fit into the context of the "guidebook," even if they did not touch on Gaza at all.

Thematic posts already number in the hundreds, and their number is growing.

The latest round of scandal has not gone unnoticed by Qatar. Doha, which for several months had not commented on the hype around "Qatargate", lashed out at Tel Aviv with criticism.

Thus, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, called the new attacks against his country a “PR campaign by Israel” designed to denigrate the honor and dignity of the Arabian monarchy.

The prime minister's position was supported by other members of the cabinet, in particular the head of the Ministry of Finance, Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari , as well as the chief of intelligence, Abdullah bin Muhammad al-Khuleifi .

The latter noted that “beneficiaries from the intelligence services” had a hand in promoting the thesis about “Qatari interference.”

In addition, representatives of the Qatari authorities stated that they do not intend to put up with the denigration of their reputation and threats to national security. And therefore, they have already hired an American consulting company to “develop mirror measures.”

Qatar has every reason to react harshly to the accusations. In 2017, similar journalistic attacks, picked up by social media users, grew into a wave of protests against the authorities and resulted in a diplomatic blockade of the country for several years.

Doha clearly has no intention of letting the situation slide again.

Moreover, Doha’s rivals – Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt – could very well latch onto the “Qatari manual” being distributed by the Israelis.

For them, it will become a convenient pretext to weaken Qatar’s “mediation pressure” in the Middle East.

At stake in this case is not only the role of mediator in Gaza, but also work on the organization of post-war Syria and participation in organizing Russian-American negotiations.

Moreover, the theses about Doha’s “special role” in Israel’s military plans are having an impact on Qatar’s relations with Iran.

Tehran, already concerned about the ongoing build-up of forces near its borders, may see the leaks as confirmation of its worst fears and use them to justify strikes by its proxies on Qatari territory.

Violence continues between armed gangs in Syria, 56 or 70 dead thus far
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Clashes continue across southern Syria despite a declared ceasefire, with festivities erupting in Kanaker as ''Israel'' seeks to exploit sectarian tensions.

Clashes continued to intensify across southern Syria this week, particularly in the Damascus countryside, despite the announcement of a preliminary ceasefire in select areas, according to Al Mayadeen.

Fighting erupted overnight on Thursday on the Kanaker front, with local sources confirming to Al Mayadeen that heavy gunfire and mortar shelling struck the village.

By dawn, local factions reportedly repelled an armed assault by bad boy groups, successfully halting the offensive although intermittent gunfire persisted.

The latest confrontation follows several days of deadly unrest in southern Damascus. On Tuesday, violence broke out between government-backed gangs and local residents in Jarmana and Ashrafiyet Sahnaya, resulting in approximately 70 fatalities. The dead included civilians, armed factions, and members of Syria's General Security Force.

The conflict was initially triggered by the leak of an audio clip containing insults directed at the holy Prophet Muhammad. Although Druze religious leaders swiftly denounced the content, the unrest persisted.
The corpse count from recent violence between Damascus-affiliated security forces and affiliated gangs, and members of Syria’s Druze community has reached 56, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Thursday.

According to SOHR, the casualties include 16 members of the government-affiliated General Security, ten holy warriors from affiliated gangs, and 30 members of the Druze community.

The war monitor noted that nine Druze individuals were "executed in the field and some of their bodies were burned," after falling into an ambush on the road between Damascus and the Druze-majority province of Suwayda. SOHR reported that the ambush was carried out by forces affiliated with Syria's defense and interior ministries, along with allied gangs.

The war monitor also documented that 16 General Security personnel and eight Druze local fighters were killed in festivities in Ashrafiyat Sahnaya, south of Damascus, on Wednesday. Earlier, on Tuesday, 10 government-affiliated fighters and seven Druze locals were also killed in the Jaramana district of southern Damascus.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
As a cautious calm currently prevailed in all areas that were scenes of recent festivities, the situation remains highly volatile.

Suwayda24, an outlet dedicated to covering news from southern Syria’s Druze-majority Suwayda province, reported on Thursday that "local [Druze] tribes have foiled an attack by gangs" in Suwayda’s western countryside.

Earlier in the day, the outlet reported festivities against "extremist groups" in Suwayda’s western countryside that saw the use of "mortar shells and heavy machine guns." It added that that a widespread power outage had affected Suwayda, with no official explanation provided for the disruption.

A day prior, the state-run Syrian News Agency reported that the governors of Rif Dimashq and Suwayda and Druze "dignitaries and social figures" had reached a "preliminary agreement" to establish a ceasefire in both Jaramana and Ashrafiyat Sahnaya.

SANA further cited Damascus-affiliated security officials as declaring the "completion of the security operation in the Ashrafiyat Sahnaya area, and the deployment of General Security forces in the neighborhoods of the area to ensure the return of security and stability."

However,
if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well...
Suwayda24 reported that the meeting concluded "without a clear agreement, except for some non-binding points," which included a full ceasefire and the formation of a joint committee to discuss the aftermath of the deadly festivities.

The outlet further quoted "government officials" accusing "outlaw gangs" of attacking state security forces and "killing 35 members." They additionally called for the regulation and consolidation of arms under state authority in the Ashrafiyat Sahnaya area.

A senior Druze holy man from Syria’s southern Suwayda province, Sheikh Yusef al-Jarbou, challenged the government’s account, stating that "the unrest began with a assassination on Jaramana and then spread to Ashrafiyat Sahnaya and eventually to Suwayda."

Jarbou emphasized the growing crisis of trust between the government and the Druze community and condemned the repeated attacks on Druze civilians, urging an immediate cessation of such assaults to prevent further escalation and bloodshed.

Meanwhile,
...back at the buffalo wallow, Standing Buffalo drew a bead on his old enemy and squeezed the trigger...
on Wednesday, the Syrian Foreign Ministry firmly rejected "all forms of foreign interference in the country’s internal affairs," calling the "demands for international protection made by outlaw groups" both "illegitimate and completely unacceptable."

"Such actions pose a direct threat to the unity of the country and undermine national efforts aimed at restoring security and stability," the ministry stated in a post on X.

The ministry also reaffirmed Damascus’s "commitment to protect all components of the Syrian people," highlighting the "integral role of the Druze community in the national fabric."

It praised "the role of Druze sheikhs in maintaining civil peace and quelling unrest," while asserting that "all national issues must be addressed exclusively through national mechanisms," and stressing that "the country’s illusory sovereignty is not subject to negotiation."

Two more Syrian Druze wounded in sectarian violence evacuated to Israel for treatment
[IsraelTimes] Two Syrian Druze, who were apparently wounded during sectarian violence in the country, were evacuated by the Israeli military to a hospital earlier today, the IDF says.

The two were taken to Ziv Hospital in Safed, where three other wounded Syrian Druze were taken yesterday.

Hamas condemns Switzerland's ban on the organisation
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The Islamic Resistance® Movement, Hamas

, considered Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...

...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip.

In a statement on Thursday, Hamas said, ''The Islamic Resistance® Movement (Hamas) regrets that the move to ban the Movement comes from a country historically known for its neutrality and defense of international humanitarian law.''

It stressed that the political, humanitarian and moral obligations of the international community, foremost among them Switzerland, require urgent action to stop the flagrant violations of international law, including the Geneva Conventions, rather than tightening the noose on the Paleostinian people.

Hamas stated that the ''terrorist Netanyahu government'' violates international commitments and agreements on a daily basis, denouncing ''the imposition of laws that restrict freedoms and stifle any pressure to stop the ongoing massacres in the Gaza Strip.''

Hamas called on the Swiss government to reverse this ''unjust'' and unjustified decision, to side with justice, and to support the legitimate struggle of the Paleostinian people to end the occupation and achieve their legitimate national rights.

On Wednesday, the Swiss government announced its intention to enforce a ban on Hamas and affiliated groups, starting from May 15.

This move follows a similar measure in neighboring Germany, which banned Hamas less than a month after the genocide had been launched by Israel on October 7, 2023.

The Swiss ban prohibits all activities and support for Hamas and allows the authorities to impose entry bans and expulsions from the country. Officials said the measure also aims to prevent Hamas from using Switzerland as a financial center.

Three people killed in Israeli drone strike on vehicle in southern Lebanon — Hodhod Yemen News Agency
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Three people were killed in an Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
that targeted a vehicle near the town of Mays al-Jabal in southern Leb
...home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade....
on Thursday.

The Lebanese News Agency reported that an Israeli military vehicle launched an attack on a pickup truck collecting scrap metal between the towns of Mays al-Jabal and Blida, killing a Lebanese citizen and two Syrians.

On October 8, 2023, Israeli occupation forces waged an aggression against Lebanon that turned into a full-scale war on September 23, 2024, resulting in more than 4,000 deaders and nearly 17,000 maimed, in addition to the displacement of about 1.4 million people.

The occupation did not commit to the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah which came into effect on November 27, as the Israeli occupation army did not withdraw from all the Lebanese positions it occupied as stipulated in the agreement, and continues to carry out strikes on Lebanese territory in flagrant violation of the agreement.

Since the ceasefire, the Israeli occupation army has committed at least 2,768 violations, leaving at least 195 deaders and 486 maimed, according to official Lebanese figures.
The IDF says it killed two Hezbollah operatives in drone strikes in southern Lebanon.

The first strike in Mays al-Jabal targeted a member of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force, according to the military.

The second strike, also in Mays al-Jabal, targeted a member of the terror group who was carrying out surveillance operations along the border, the IDF says.
Lebanon’s health ministry says one person has been killed in an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle in the country’s south today. The ministry says in a statement that an “Israeli enemy” drone strike on a vehicle in the southern town of Mais al-Jabal killed “a Lebanese and wounded two Syrians.”

Africa North
Thousands rally in Ouagadougou and worldwide in support of President Ibrahim Traorr
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] This morning, thousands of young people gathered at Revolution Square in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president used to be Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and was chased out in 2014. Now it's the usual army officer type guy, Captain Ibrahim Traore, running things, who's just doing a bang-up job unless he's already been deposed...
, in a solidarity demonstration for President Captain Ibrahim Traore.
The rally was organized to show solidarity with Traore, 37, who came to power in 2022 following a military coup. His administration has since introduced a wave of reforms aimed at asserting national illusory sovereignty and reducing foreign influence.

''He represents a new path for Africa,'' said one attendee, echoing sentiments voiced across banners and speeches. ''Africa free or death,'' read a sign carried by a protester.

Similar demonstrations are also taking place in The Gambia
... The Gambia is actually surrounded by The Senegal on all sides but its west coast. It has a population of about 1.7 million. The difference between the two is that in colonial days Senegal was ruled by La Belle France and The Gambia (so-called because there's only one of it, unlike Guinea, of which there are the Republic of Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, New Guinea, the English coin in circulation between 1663 and 1813, and Guyana, which sounds like it should be another one) was ruled by Britain...
, Kenya, New York, Canada, Gay Paree, and many other locations in support of Traore.

Traor 's administration has nationalized gold mines, launched the country's first gold refinery, banned secondhand clothing imports, and replaced European judicial attire with local dress. He has also introduced free healthcare initiatives and opened several locally funded factories, including for tomato processing and military uniforms.

Internationally, Traor has drawn closer to Russia and distanced the country from La Belle France, expelling French troops and ending military agreements. Burkina Faso has joined Mali and Niger in forming the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), a regional bloc focused on economic independence.
Two weeks ago, the United States accused President Captain Ibrahim Traor of using Burkina Faso's gold to protect himself and his regime.
Since then, millions of Africans, both at home and abroad, have voiced their support for Captain Ibrahim Traor online. They are sending a strong message to the West: the same West that played a role in the deaths of Qadaffy, Sankara, and Lumumba—but with Captain Ibrahim Traor , this will be their final stop.
