[IsraelTimes] The Israeli-Arab peace movement Standing Together (Omdim Beyachad) announces that “in recent days, silent vigils have been held by Palestinian residents of the Gaza Strip, including bereaved parents, displaying photos of Israeli children killed on October 7. The vigils were inspired by similar demonstrations we have held in Israel against the war of destruction in Gaza, featuring images of Palestinian children who died in the war.”
Footage released by the organization shows Gazans holding up photos of Kfir and Ariel Bibas, the children from Kibbutz Nir Oz who were kidnapped to Gaza during the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack and murdered there along, with their mother.
According to the group, participants in Gaza are members of the local Youth Committee, which launched the campaign “Living Together, Dying Together,” calling for an end to the war, the release of all hostages and the cessation of civilian killings on both sides.
The group quotes the protest organizer, who lost his three children and several cousins in the war, as saying: ‘We mourn with every Jewish, Christian, or Muslim family that lost a child in this war. Our pain does not blind us to the suffering of others — we are against the killing of children, whether they are Palestinian or Israeli.”
[IsraelTimes] The United States announces the approval of a $510 million sale to Israel of bomb guidance kits and related support, after Israel expended significant munitions in its recent conflict with Iran.
“The proposed sale will enhance Israel’s capability to meet current and future threats by improving its ability to defend Israel’s borders, vital infrastructure, and population centers,” the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) says in a statement.
“The United States is committed to the security of Israel, and it is vital to US national interests to assist Israel to develop and maintain a strong and ready self-defense capability,” it adds.
The State Department approved the possible sale and the DSCA has provided the required notification to the US Congress, which still needs to sign off on the transaction.
[IsraelTimes] During operations in the central West Bank over the past day, the IDF’s 7114th Battalion of the Binyamin Brigade together with the Shin Bet has foiled a terrorist cell planning attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers, the military says.
According to the IDF, troops uncovered an explosives lab in Ramallah containing materials used to manufacture bombs and arrested several suspects.
Additionally, the IDF and Civil Administration, the Defense Ministry body in charge of Israeli and Palestinian civil affairs in the West Bank, carried out enforcement actions against illegal construction in the village of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah. Assailants reportedly used these illegal structures as cover to throw stones at Israeli vehicles traveling on Route 60.
Following these incidents, the chief of the IDF Central Command, Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth ordered swift enforcement actions to maintain security.
[IsraelTimes] The 20-year-old transient who started a wildfire and then fatally shot two firefighters and wounded another in northern Idaho drew swastikas in school and was obsessed with guns, former classmates tell USA Today.
Authorities say they do not yet know why Wess Roley staged the attack Sunday at Canfield Mountain, a popular recreation area just north of Coeur d’Alene, setting off a massive manhunt. He was found dead after taking his own life, police say.
“We have not been able to find a manifesto,” Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris told reporters earlier, adding a motive was still unknown.
“My good friend saw drawings of swastikas and guns in his notebook,” Harry Standley, who attended middle and high school with Roley, tells USA Today. “We were all pretty scared of him.”
A second classmate who also attended elementary school with Roley also recalled the swastika incident, USA Today reports, though he just thought Roley was trying to be “edgy.”
The report also includes an unattributed quote claiming he had “Nazi tendencies.”
“Everybody just thought he was weird,” Standley says, adding that “he was also obsessed with guns.”
Roley was living out of his vehicle, had once aspired to be a firefighter and had only a handful of minor contacts with area police, Norris said.
He had ties to California and Arizona and was living in Idaho “for the better part of 2024,” the sheriff added.
Roley lived with T.J. Franks Jr. for about six months in Sandpoint, Idaho, while working for a tree service, Franks said on Monday. Franks had cameras in his apartment that caught Roley throwing gang signs at them one day, which worried Franks to the point that he called police.
“I didn’t know what to really think about it,” Franks said. “I just called the cops and had them talk to him.”
[IsraelTimes] Iran-linked hackers have threatened to disclose more emails stolen from US President Donald Trump’s circle, after distributing a prior batch to the media ahead of the 2024 US election.
In online chats with Reuters on Sunday and Monday, the hackers, who go by the pseudonym Robert, say they have roughly 100 gigabytes of emails from the accounts of White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Trump lawyer Lindsey Halligan, Trump adviser Roger Stone and porn star-turned-Trump antagonist Stormy Daniels.
Robert raises the possibility of selling the material but otherwise does not provide details of their plans or the content of the emails.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi describes the intrusion as “an unconscionable cyber-attack.”
Iran’s mission to the United Nations does not return a message seeking comment. Tehran has in the past denied committing cyberespionage.
Robert materialized in the final months of the 2024 presidential campaign, when they claimed to have breached the email accounts of several Trump allies, including Wiles.
The hackers then distributed emails to journalists.
The US Justice Department in a September 2024 indictment alleged that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards ran the Robert hacking operation. In conversations with Reuters, the hackers declined to address the allegation.
After Trump’s election, Robert told Reuters that no more leaks were planned. As recently as May, the hackers told Reuters, “I am retired, man.”
But the group resumed communication after this month’s 12-day air war between Israel and Iran, which was capped by US bombing of Iran’s nuclear sites.
In messages this week, Robert said they were organizing a sale of stolen emails and wanted Reuters to “broadcast this matter.”
American Enterprise Institute scholar Frederick Kagan, who has written about Iranian cyberespionage, says Tehran’s spies are likely trying to retaliate in ways that do not draw more US or Israeli action.
“A default explanation is that everyone’s been ordered to use all the asymmetric stuff that they can that’s not likely to trigger a resumption of major Israeli/US military activity,” he says. “Leaking a bunch more emails is not likely to do that.”

Iran raised the official death toll from its war with Israel on Monday, with regime-controlled media reporting that 935 people were killed in the country during the 12-day conflict.
The state-run IRNA news agency did not give a breakdown between military and civilian casualties, but said of the 935 people, 38 were children and 132 were women, quoting judiciary spokesman Asghar Jahangir. Its previous report last week said 627 people had been killed.
Jahangir also said 79 people were killed in an Israeli strike on Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison for political dissidents. The previous casualty figure for the Evin strike was 71.
Israel began its sweeping assault on Iran’s top military leaders, nuclear scientists, uranium enrichment sites, and ballistic missile program on June 13 with the aim of preventing the Islamic Republic from acquiring nuclear weapons and amassing long-range weapons.
Iran retaliated to Israel’s strikes by launching over 500 ballistic missiles and around 1,100 drones at Israel. The attacks killed 28 people, all but one of them civilians, and wounded over 3,000 in Israel, according to health officials and hospitals. In all, there were 36 missile impacts and one drone strike in populated areas, causing damage to 2,305 homes in 240 buildings, along with two universities and a hospital, and leaving over 13,000 Israelis displaced.
A ceasefire between the two countries went into effect on June 24, shortly after the United States joined the campaign with a strike on Iran’s nuclear enrichment centers, including the underground facility at Fordo.
The US-based Human Rights Activists, which focuses on Iran, said over the weekend that 1,190 people had been killed, according to data collected by the agency’s network of medical and local volunteers. Of those, it said 436 were civilians, 435 military and 319 have not yet been identified.
The group has consistently reported higher casualties than the official reports from Iran.

Police and Shin Bet agents have arrested three Israeli citizens in two separate cases on suspicion that they carried out tasks for Iranian agents, the two agencies said in a statement on Monday.
In one investigation, 33-year-old Mark Morgein, who lives in the Jordan Valley in the West Bank, was arrested on suspicion of moving a grenade from a hidden location to another at the request of his handler, with whom he maintained contact over the course of June.
Police said he carried out this task with the knowledge that this explosive would be used to harm Israeli citizens.

Security forces also arrested two Tiberias residents, Yoni Segal, 18, and Nehorai Omri Mizrahi, 20, whom an Iranian agent allegedly tried to recruit into murdering an unnamed Israeli citizen in exchange for hundreds of thousands of shekels.
The agent offered to fly the pair out to another country, train them, and then give them the identity of their target. The plan never came to fruition.
The two are also suspected of filming shopping malls and hospitals across the country and sending their handler information on each mall’s layout, number of security guards, and number of stores. They allegedly sent information on malls in Haifa, Tiberias, and Tel Aviv, as well as about Tel Aviv’s Ichilov hospital.

In an executive order, Trump terminated the "national emergency" in place since 2004 that imposed far-reaching sanctions on Syria, affecting most state-run institutions including the central bank.
"This is in an effort to promote and support the country’s path to stability and peace," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told news hounds.
Brad Smith, the Treasury Department official in charge of sanctions, said the move "will end the country’s isolation from the international financial system, setting the stage for global commerce and galvanizing investments from its neighbors in the region as well as from the United States."
The orders still maintain sanctions on elements of the former government, including Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Despoiler of Deraa... , who fled to Russia late last year.
Syrian Foreign Minister Assaad al-Shibani said the US move marked a "major turning point."
"With the lifting of this major obstacle to economic recovery, the long-awaited doors are opening for reconstruction and development" as are the conditions "for the dignified return of displaced Syrians to their homeland," he wrote on X.
Syria recently carried out its first electronic transfer through the international banking system since around the time it descended into a brutal civil war in 2011.

A federal task force sent a letter to Harvard on Monday, finding the university violated civil rights laws requiring colleges to protect students from discrimination based on race or national origin. It says Sherlocks found Harvard was at times a "willful participant in antisemitic harassment of Jewish students, faculty, and staff" and that campus leaders allowed antisemitism to fester on the Massachusetts campus.
A Trump administration statement said the school was "deliberately indifferent to the severe, pervasive, and objectively offensive harassment of Jewish and Israeli students by its own students and faculty." It cited an internal university investigation into antisemitism and anti-Israel bias, an investigation by the US Congress, and media reports that documented "vandalism, harassment, and physical violence" against Jewish and Israeli students.
"Failure to institute adequate changes immediately will result in the loss of all federal financial resources and continue to affect Harvard’s relationship with the federal government," officials said in the letter, which was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Harvard did not immediately comment.
The letter finds that Harvard violated Title VI of the US Civil Rights Act of 1964. Such findings have almost always been resolved through voluntary resolutions between schools and the federal government. The Trump administration has taken a much sharper edge than its predecessors, however.

The school lost more than $2.6 billion in federal research grants after rejecting a list of federal demands calling for sweeping changes to campus governance, hiring, and admissions. According to the investigation, from fiscal year 2023 to 2025, the school received more than $794 million in federal funds.
A formal finding paves the way for a negotiated agreement or — if one is not reached — an attempt to cut the school off from federal dollars. The Trump administration has also sought to bar foreign students from studying at Harvard. A federal judge issued an injunction against that ban last week.
The 57-page investigation cites allegations of anti-Jewish and anti-Israel bias beginning shortly after the October 7 attack and stretching into this year. It includes reports of discriminatory conduct on social media and in campus spaces, as well as sections titled "Targeted harassment by student groups" and "Institutional acceptance of antisemitism."
Much of the investigation’s evidence focuses on campus protests over the Israel-Hamas war, which drew global attention particularly in the spring of 2024 as anti-Israel groups set up encampments on campuses across the United States and in other countries. The investigation says Harvard was "overrun by an impermissible, multiweek encampment" that left Jewish and Israeli students fearful and disrupted their studies.
It accuses Harvard of imposing lax and inconsistent discipline against students who participated in the encampment, noting that none were suspended.
Harvard President Alan Garber has acknowledged problems with antisemitism and anti-Moslem bias on campus, but he says Harvard has made strides to fight prejudice. He announced new initiatives in April after Harvard released its internal reports finding evidence of antisemitism and Islamophobia ...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do... on campus.
"Harvard cannot — and will not — abide bigotry," Garber wrote in releasing the reports.
“Antisemitism is a serious problem and no matter the context, it is unacceptable,” the university says in a statement. “Harvard has taken substantive, proactive steps to address the root causes of antisemitism in its community.”
The government’s investigation largely relied on a campus antisemitism study commissioned by Harvard and released in April. Federal officials cited numerous details from that report, including accounts of Jewish students who said they were spit on and faced chants on campus including “Heil Hitler.”
It focuses heavily on last year’s protests over the Israel-Hamas war. In the letter to Harvard, federal officials say the campus was “overrun by an impermissible, multiweek encampment” that left Jewish and Israeli students fearful and disrupted their studies.
The task force threatens to refer the case to the Justice Department to file a civil rights lawsuit “as soon as possible,” unless Harvard comes into compliance.
Harvard has faced mounting sanctions after rejecting a list of federal demands calling for sweeping changes to campus governance, hiring and admissions. The formal finding could now jeopardize Harvard’s eligibility to accept federal loans or grants for students to attend the university — a penalty often referred to as a “death sentence” in higher education.
In a court filing Monday seeking to annul the freezing of federal funds over antisemitism claims, Harvard argues that the formal filing marks a concession by the government that it previously bypassed required procedural findings under Title VI.
It calls the administration’s previous use of antisemitism claims to justify the freeze “arbitrary and capricious,” with the government failing to investigate or document antisemitism on campus itself and relying instead on Harvard’s own study.
The filing also claims an “absence of any concrete evidence of antisemitism in the administrative record,” while accusing the government of ignoring the school’s efforts to combat hate.
“Harvard’s willingness to seek and publish a report harshly condemning antisemitism on its campus, and detailing actions to implement the report’s recommendations, show that Harvard did respond and is responding
forcefully to antisemitism,” the filing reads.

[Rudaw] The first batch of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) fighters is set to disarm in the Kurdistan Region next month, two well-informed sources said, in a major step towards ending four decades of bloody conflict.
The disarmament process will take place in the Kurdistan Region in the beginning of July to launch the practical steps of implementing the PKK’s decision to dissolve and end its armed struggle against The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... , the informed sources told Rudaw, on the condition of anonymity.
"In the next few days, Abdullah Ocalan, the tossed in the calaboose Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! leader of the PKK, will publish a new message about the process, and after that, the disarmament process will begin," one source said.
The PKK announced its dissolution and an end to its four-decade armed struggle on May 12, responding to a call from Ocalan to end the conflict that has claimed around 40,000 lives and pursue a political and democratic path.
Ankara has welcomed the steps but wants the decision to materialize. The PKK expects democratic steps from Ankara.
The two source said that between July 3 and July 10, a number of PKK fighters - ranging between 20 to 30 - will lay down their arms in a ceremony in Sulaimani province.
"The guerrillas will lay down their weapons in the ceremony and return to where they currently live, meaning they will not return to the cities," a source said.
But despite renewed efforts toward a grinding of the peace processor, Ankara has continued striking suspected PKK positions in the Kurdistan Region. A series of strikes in the vicinity of Duhok province’s Metina Mountain - a conflict hotspot - on Sunday sparked wildfires that have yet to be controlled.
On Saturday, Turkey’s pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) told Rudaw that it will soon submit a proposal to the parliament speaker for the formation of a commission to oversee the grinding of the peace processor with the PKK.
DEM Party is the main mediator of the talks, and its delegations have made several visits to Ocalan and relayed his messages.
Ozgur Ozel, the leader of Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), told Rudaw in a recent interview that the commission was initially their idea. He recommended that it include representatives from all 16 political parties in the legislature and be chaired by the parliament speaker.
Zekeriya Yapicoglu, leader of Turkey’s Kurdish Islamist Free Cause Party (Huda Par), told Rudaw earlier in June that he expects the PKK to take "concrete steps" to lay down arms in the summer.
Founded in 1978, the PKK initially sought an independent Kurdish state but later shifted its focus toward achieving broader political and cultural rights for Kurds in Turkey.
The group has been labeled as a terrorist organization by Turkey and its allies.

According to reports, the Danab Special Forces targeted Bulo Haji town which is located a few kilometres from the strategic town of Kismayo ...a port city in the southern Lower Juba province of Somalia, at the extreme southern end of the country (always assuming Somalia can be called a country). It is the commercial capital of the autonomous Jubaland region.... , which is the regional administrative capital of Jubaland state.
The fighting took place around Maqoqaha area, approximately 13 kilometres from Bulo Haji. The bandidosfaceless myrmidons engaged in fierce festivities with the special operations team, leading to many casualties, which were reported.
Military officials said at least 37 bandidosfaceless myrmidons were killed in the raid and several others were maimed. The krazed killers' arsenals were also destroyed beyond repair, officials said, while maintaining that the victory against the group was resounding.
But the al-Shabaab fighters said they repelled the attack by the Danab Special Forces, killing six US-trained troops and wounding 13 others. The claims could not be verified independently, given that the group is fond of spreading propaganda.
Danab Special Forces are trained and equipped by the US Africa Command, which nurtures the military within the country. The US has signified the possibility of withdrawing support for the Somali National Army, with the funding reportedly getting significantly slashed.

Defense Forces launched a military operation early Monday targeting areas in the al-Miskad mountain range where remnants of the ISIS-affiliated holy warrior group are believed to be hiding.
"The forces are conducting a clearance operation today against fleeing terrorists. Troops have spread out and are advancing toward the limited zones where the runaways may be hiding," read a statement from Operation Hillaac, the ongoing military campaign.
According to intelligence information obtained by Garowe Online, ISIS elements who previously operated in the Baalade, Miiraale, and Jacayl valley areas are now believed to be hiding in Walisoor and Marmarka — remote locations currently under military pressure.
Security officials say the operation is part of a broader effort to eliminate remaining holy warrior cells in the mountainous region, which has long served as a hideout for gangs. The Puntland authorities have not yet released casualty figures or confirmed arrests linked to the ongoing offensive.

[NYPost] “Thousands” of migrant children who disappeared after being smuggled across the US-Mexico border under the Biden administration have been rescued from grim fates such as being sex-trafficked to pedophiles, according to border czar Tom Homan — who revealed that a 14-year-old pregnant girl was found living with adult men just two weeks ago.
In the latest episode of Miranda Devine’s “Pod Force One” podcast, Homan said Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have also located minors who were forced into servitude on ranches and chicken farms, as the agency searches for hundreds of thousands of migrant children unaccounted for during President Joe Biden’s four-year illegal alien invasion.
“There were 300,000 missing children under the last administration,” said Homan. “We’ve found thousands of them … We rescued victims of sex trafficking [and] two weeks ago, we rescued a 14-year-old that was already pregnant, living with adult men …
“We rescued some victims of forced labor. We found children working on ranches and chicken farms, not going to school, but enslaved labor in the United States of America …
“Some of the children we found [were] perfectly fine with their families … They just didn’t respond to call-ins [because they] didn’t want to face the consequences of immigration court.”
The number of unaccompanied alien children [UACs] entering the US surged to record levels under Biden, as changes to border enforcement policies incentivized families and smugglers to send minors to America.
More than 500,000 children were recorded entering the country and were placed with sponsors while awaiting immigration proceedings.
A report last August from the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General found that the Biden administration lost track of hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied children and placed some with potentially dangerous sponsors who had not been adequately vetted.
More than 31,000 addresses provided by sponsors turned out to be “blank, undeliverable, or missing apartment numbers,” the inspector general reported. At one location, “sponsor addresses were incorrect 80 percent of the time.”
ICE officers at one field office also told the inspector general that thousands of migrant children had been released to sponsors “who are not immediate family and are not a parent, sibling, or grandparent.”
HHS released more than 14,500 migrant children in 2023 and more than 9,600 in 2024 “to unrelated sponsors” or distant relatives.
Of the more than 2,400 children released to sponsors over one week in November 2023, only 1,000 went to their parent or a legal guardian.
About 300 went to unrelated sponsors or distant family members. Three children were released to their “spouses,” including one who was 40 years old.
“Although these relatives may have been appropriately qualified, [one ICE officer] noted the UACs most at risk for trafficking or forced labor are those released to an unrelated sponsor.”
During visits to three sponsor addresses to which multiple children had been released, the inspector general found “potentially unsafe conditions” including “bars on the inside of a window” in an area that was “very dangerous, was run by gangs, and had high crime rates and daily shootings. The [ICE officer] noted one UAC within their area of responsibility left their sponsor’s address to join a local gang.”
“Another sponsor address was a dilapidated motel that did not have a kitchen. UACs’ sponsors provided this address five times.
“During a site visit in another city, ICE officers noted an illegal drug deal occurring based on their law enforcement experience at an apartment complex where 44 UACs had been released in FY 2023.”
Homan told “Pod Force One” that the Biden administration rushed the vetting process to avoid the “optics” of overcrowding at the border.
“They didn’t care about the invasion itself; it was the optics.”
DNA tests were routinely used during the first Trump administration to verify that an adult accompanying a child really was the parent, he said, but the Biden administration abandoned that policy.
Homan said in some of the DNA testing “as high as 30 percent [of] the families weren’t families. Not relatives at all. The [children] were being trafficked…
“A lot of parents paid a smuggling organization to bring their kids [over the border]. Some of these children were trafficked. We know HSI [Homeland Security Investigations] had several investigations where a child was rented by the criminal cartel to an adult male or female, crossed the border [and] when you’re done, you send the kid back [and] re-rent them.”
“We’re going to find every one of these kids,” Homan vowed. “President Trump made a promise. We’re going to keep that promise.”

[ZERO] It would seem that Disney still hasn't learned its lesson when it comes to DEI in entertainment. The company which just initiated a series of layoffs of hundreds of employees at the beginning in June is now getting rid of at least 2% of staffers in its product and technology division.
The staff cuts are only part of an ongoing trend over the past few years as Disney's profits at the box office tumble into the abyss. Only ten years ago the company dominated theaters and television, but it is now reeling from an endless string of embarrassing failures.
The company's latest entertainment bungles include the Pixar film Elio, about a Mexican-Domincan boy obsessed with space travel who is accidentally taken by aliens to the "Communiverse", an intergalactic socialist Utopia where all the species of the universe get together and work out their problems.
Continuing with their messaging that minority characters are infallible no matter what they do, Pixar writes Elio as a spoiled thief who seems to get whatever he wants. His background as an orphan living with his aunt is meant to invoke sympathy from the audience, but the effort falls flat.

Not only did test audiences overwhelmingly hate it, actress America Ferarra - who is far from a MAGA coservative - quit the movie and her voice role. A good chunk of the movie was rewritten....but it doesn't seem to have helped.

It had a production cost of at least $150M, probably will cost $300M or more after adding marketing, distribution, etc. So it may well be a net loss for Disney.

[BBC] The UK's High Court has rejected a case brought by campaigners trying to stop the transfer to Israel of all British-made spare parts for US-produced F-35 fighter jets, saying it didn't have the constitutional authority to intervene.
The government suspended about 30 arms export licences to Israel last September because of a risk of UK-made weapons being used in violations of international law in the Gaza Strip.
But the UK supplies components to a global pool of F-35s which Israel can access. The government had argued it could not pull out of the defence programme without endangering international peace.
Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch expressed their dismay at the ruling.
Both groups had intervened in the case.
"The horrifying reality in Gaza is unfolding in full view of the world: entire families obliterated, civilians killed in so-called safe zones, hospitals reduced to rubble, and a population driven into starvation by a cruel blockade and forced displacement," said Sacha Deshmukh, chief executive of Amnesty International UK.
"This judgment does not change the facts on the ground, nor does it absolve the UK government of its responsibilities under international law."
The two judges said the case was not about whether the UK should supply arms and other military equipment to Israel - because the government had decided it should not. They were being asked to decide on a particular issue: whether the UK "must withdraw from a specific multilateral defence collaboration" because of the prospect that some UK-manufactured parts may be supplied to Israel and used in contravention of international law in the conflict in Gaza.
The poor darlings do find themselves in a thorny dilemma.
"Under our constitution, that acutely sensitive and political issue is a matter for the executive which is democratically accountable to parliament and ultimately to the electorate, not for the courts," they ruled.
UK industry makes 15% of every F-35, according to the Campaign Against the Arms Trade.
Oxfam, which provided evidence to the court, said: "It is unconscionable that the government would continue to license the sale of components for F-35 jets knowing that they are used to deliberately attack civilians in Gaza and destroy their means of survival, including vital water supplies."
The case was brought by al-Haq, a group based in the Israel-occupied West Bank, and the Global Legal Action Network against the Department for Business and Trade.
The court said that Business Minister Jonathan Reynolds was "faced with the blunt choice of accepting the F-35 carve out or withdrawing from the F-35 programme and accepting all the defence and diplomatic consequences which would ensue".
The government also argued pulling out of the defence programme could undermine US confidence in the UK and Nato.
But human rights groups argue that the global rule of law is under threat over Gaza.
"The atrocities we are witnessing in Gaza are precisely because governments don't think the rules should apply to them," said Yasmine Ahmed, UK director of Human Rights Watch.
"Judicial deference to the executive in this case has left the Palestinians in Gaza without access to the protections of international law, despite the government and the court acknowledging that there is a serious risk that UK equipment might be used to facilitate or carry out atrocities against them."
The government says it will continue to keep its defence export licensing under review.
"The court has upheld this government's thorough and lawful decision-making on this matter," a spokesman said.
Lawyers for the human rights groups are considering if they can find grounds to appeal.
Al-Haq alleged that the UK broke domestic and international law and was complicit in atrocities against Palestinians by allowing essential components for the warplanes to be supplied to Israel.
The government said the ruling showed it had rigorous export rules and it would continue to review its licensing agreements, a spokesperson said.
The government last year suspended about 30 of 350 existing export licenses for equipment deemed to be for use in the conflict in Gaza because of a “clear risk” the items could be used to violate international humanitarian law. Equipment included parts for helicopters and drones.
But an exemption was made for some licenses related to components of F-35 fighter jets, which are indirectly supplied to Israel through the global spare parts supply chain and have been linked to bombing the Gaza Strip.
While Al-Haq argued the UK shouldn’t continue to export parts through what it called a “deliberate loophole,” given the government’s own assessment of Israel’s compliance with international humanitarian law, the government said the parts were distributed to a collaboration involving the US and six other partners to produce the jets.
Al-Haq had its offices in Ramallah shuttered by Israel in 2022, 10 months after the Defense Ministry designated Al-Haq and several other Palestinian groups as terrorist organizations over their alleged links to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a leftist terror group. The international community has asserted that Israel has failed to provide convincing evidence to back up its claims.
Components manufactured in the UK are sent to assembly lines in the US, Italy and Japan that supply partners — including Israel — with jets and spare parts, the court said.

After all, if tariffs were so toxic and surpluses irrelevant, why did our affluent European and Asian trading rivals insist on both surpluses and protective tariffs?

[BBC] Four employees of a satirical magazine in Turkey have been arrested for publishing a cartoon that appears to show the Prophet Muhammad - a sacred religious figure whose depiction is forbidden in Islam.
Turkey's interior minister Ali Yerlikaya condemned LeMan magazine's drawing as "shameless", announcing that its editor-in-chief, graphic designer, institutional director and cartoonist had been detained.
LeMan denied its cartoon was a caricature of Muhammad, writing on X that "the work does not refer to the Prophet Muhammed in any way".
Riot police were deployed in Istanbul on Monday as hundreds of people protested against the publication.
Protesters gathered outside LeMan's offices chanting slogans such as "tooth for tooth, blood for blood, revenge, revenge".
A correspondent for the news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported seeing rubber bullets and tear gas being fired to disperse the crowd.
Turkey's justice minister said an investigation had been initiated by the chief public prosecutor's office for "publicly insulting religious values".
"The caricature or any form of visual representation of our Prophet not only harms our religious values but also damages societal peace," Yilmaz Tunc wrote on X.
"Necessary legal steps will be taken without delay" against LeMan's journalists, he added.
Yerlikaya also shared videos of the four employees being arrested over the "vile drawing".
Arrest warrants have also been issued for other members of the magazine's senior management.
Images of the cartoon have appeared on social media, which show two characters with wings floating in the sky over a city under siege.
One of the characters is pictured saying "Peace be upon you, I'm Muhammed", and the other replying, "Peace be upon you, I'm Musa". Musa is the Turkish for Moses.
LeMan apologised to "well-intentioned readers who feel hurt" but defended its work and rejected allegations that the cartoon was a depiction of Muhammad.
"The cartoonist wanted to portray the righteousness of the oppressed Muslim people by depicting a Muslim killed by Israel, and he never intended to insult religious values," it said in a statement on X.
"We do not accept the stain that is cast on us because there is no depiction of our Prophet. You have to be very malicious to interpret the cartoon in this way."
LeMan's editor-in-chief Tuncay Akgun, who is currently in Paris, told AFP the work had been misinterpreted and the magazine would "never take such a risk".
He added that the backlash draws "similarities with Charlie Hebdo" which is "very intentional and very worrying", referencing the 2015 attack on the French satirical magazine after it published a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad. Charlie Hebdo's offices were stormed by gunmen who killed 12 people and was one of the worst security crises in France's history.
An AFP correspondent says scuffles between police and protesters who attacked the bar in downtown Istanbul quickly degenerated into festivities involving between 250 to 300 people.
Earlier in the evening, video footage on social media showed a group of protesters marching to Leman’s office building in central Istanbul, chanting slogans and kicking its entrance doors.

The move would place that cartel on the same list as six other Mexican cartels previously designated as FTOs
In a letter sent to the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the members of American Families Against Cartel Terrorism asked Trump administration officials to designate La Linea and the Juarez Cartel as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs). As Breitbart Texas reported, the Juarez Cartel is one of the groups behind the November 2019 murder of nine American women and children from the Lebaron family just miles south of the New Mexico border.
The request was first reported by ABC, which obtained a copy of the letter from group members.
“This is not just about our families, it is about keeping Americans safe and getting justice for all American victims and ensuring that no American is left behind,” ABC quoted from the letter. “We ask you to designate the Juárez Cartel and its armed wing La Línea, as FTOs, and keep sending a clear message that the United States will not tolerate the murder of innocent Americans or the terrorization of our communities.”
The members of American Families Against Cartel Terrorism include members of the Lebaron family who have been fighting for years for La Linea and the Juarez Cartel to be listed as terrorists. In the aftermath of the 2019 murder, Mexico’s government has made some arrests and convictions. However, government officials have been largely accused of covering up and minimizing the case.
Mexican officials claimed that the gunmen mistook the U.S. family for rivals who were traveling along a deserted highway when they shot at them and then tried to torch their vehicles and bodies as a way to cover up their crime.
[Breitbart] “Alligator Alcatraz” will have up to 5,000 beds, and will house, process, and deport criminal illegal aliens, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday, previewing President Donald Trump’s visit to the facility on Tuesday.
The area, otherwise known as the Miami-Dade Collier Training Facility, is in the Florida Everglades and has been approved by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for use in housing, processing, and deporting illegal immigrants. President Trump is expected to visit on Tuesday — alongside other officials including Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem — upon its opening.
“On a scheduling note, tomorrow, President Trump will travel to the great state of Florida to attend the opening of a new illegal alien detention center located at Dade Collier training and transition airport, alongside Secretary Kristi Noem, Governor Ron DeSantis, Congressman Byron Donalds and other state and local leaders,” Leavitt said during a press conference Monday.
“The facility is in the heart of the Everglades and will be informally known as Alligator Alcatraz. There is only one road leading in, and the only way out is a one-way flight. It is isolated and surrounded by dangerous wildlife and unforgiving terrain,” she continued, noting that the facility will have “up to 5,000 beds to house, process, and deport criminal illegal aliens.”
“This is an efficient and low-cost way to help carry out the largest mass-deportation campaign in American history,” she added.
On Monday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) defended Alligator Alcatraz, which some activists have protested.
“And so, when the president comes tomorrow, he’s going to be able to see … what will happen is you bring people in there. They ain’t going anywhere … unless you want them to go somewhere, because good luck in the civilization,” DeSantis said, as the facility is surrounded by pythons and alligators.
“So, the security is amazing … natural and otherwise,” the governor said, explaining that unless the country works to deport these illegal aliens, the issue will persist.
“If you don’t do that, you know you’re going to continue to have this problem of illegal immigration. So, you’ll be able to bring people in. They’ll get processed. They have an order of removal, and they can be queued,” he continued, explaining that the federal government can fly detainees out of the country right there, using the existing runway.
“You literally drive them 2,000 feet, put them on a plane, and then they’re gone. It’s very logistically simple,” he added.

[FoxNews] Medicare scams allegedly included $10B catheter scheme with Russian connections and unnecessary procedures on the dying
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced sweeping charges Monday against more than 300 defendants, alleging they misled patients into paying for, and sometimes receiving, medical care that they did not need.
In turn, DOJ Criminal Division chief Matthew Galeotti said, the defendants also attempted to swindle Medicare and other taxpayer-funded and private health insurance programs out of about $14.6 billion.
The announcement marked the "largest coordinated healthcare fraud takedown in the history of the Department of Justice," Galeotti said during a press conference.
In a press release, the DOJ said 29 of the defendants were charged with alleged involvement with transnational criminal organizations and submitting over $12 billion in fraudulent claims to America’s health insurance programs.
Another 74 defendants, including 44 licensed medical professionals, were charged across 58 cases with allegedly illegally distributing 15 million prescription pill opioids and other controlled substances. For instance, five of the defendants at a Texas pharmacy are accused of unlawfully distributing over 3 million opioid pills, including oxycodone, hydrocodone and carisoprodol, which were later trafficked by drug dealers on the streets.
The DOJ said 49 defendants were charged with submitting over $1.17 billion in alleged fraudulent claims to Medicare, while an additional 170 defendants were charged with various other fraudulent schemes amounting to $1.84 billion in claims to Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies for diagnostic testing, medical visits and unnecessary treatments, sometimes for kickbacks and bribes.
"This record-setting Health Care Fraud Takedown delivers justice to criminal actors who prey upon our most vulnerable citizens and steal from hardworking American taxpayers," Attorney General Pamela Bondi said. "Make no mistake – this administration will not tolerate criminals who line their pockets with taxpayer dollars while endangering the health and safety of our communities."
One set of charges included, for example, an indictment against three defendants in Arizona who allegedly conspired to purchase and give elderly Medicare recipients skin grafts known as "amniotic wound allografts." The defendants allegedly reaped millions of dollars from the practice.
One of the defendants, a nurse practitioner, applied the grafts to patients even though they were "medically unreasonable and unnecessary," the indictment said. The nurse allegedly applied them to terminally ill patients in hospice, including some who were days away from dying.
While that specific medical practice is typically non-invasive, Galeotti noted it was part of a $1 billion healthcare fraud scheme that stripped patients of "dignity and peace" in their final days.
One DOJ official said in response to a question from Fox News Digital that skin grafts were an "emerging area" of healthcare fraud, "especially given the significant amount of money that they can bill for sometimes in excess of $1,000 a square centimeter."
The healthcare fraud cases, all of which were shared publicly online, spanned the country and globe. Defendants included medical supply company owners and medical professionals, including 25 doctors.
An FBI official announced at the press conference that one scheme, called "Operation Gold Rush," resulted in at least 20 members of a transnational criminal organization, including defendants based in Russia, being charged as part of a $10 billion Medicare and money laundering operation that centered on catheters.
The group behind the scheme, authorities said, used foreign straw owners to secretly buy dozens of medical supply companies before using stolen identities and confidential health data to create and file false $10.6 billion in claims with Medicare.
The DOJ said 19 defendants were arrested for their involvement in the scheme, 12 of whom have been arrested. About two dozen protesters from Palestine Solidarity Campaign demonstrated near the main entrance of the All England Club, as thousands of fans arrived for Day 1 of the tennis tournament.
“They’re the bank for the arms companies that are obviously supplying weapons to Israel,” protester Khalid Zalmay told The Associated Press. “We should not be arming Israel, we should not be allowing anybody to facilitate arming them, and I think ties should be cut with Israel, the same way that ties were cut with Russia.”
One protester held a sign that said Barclays is a “sponsor of Wimbledon and genocide.”
Wimbledon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Barclays said it is “proud of our partnership with Wimbledon” and defended its business practices.
“We provide a range of financial services and products to companies supplying defense products to the UK, NATO and its allies,” the company statement said. “As NATO, the EU and UK seek to increase their defense capabilities in response to increasing geopolitical threats, the provision of financial products and services to the defense sector is becoming increasingly important.”

The duo played Saturday afternoon right before Kneecap, another band that has drawn controversy over its stance on Middle East politics. Kneecap led a huge crowd in chants of “Free Palestine” at the festival.
They also aimed an expletive-laden chant at Starmer, who had said he did not think it was “appropriate” for Kneecap to play Glastonbury, after one of its members was charged under the Terrorism Act. Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara, was charged with supporting a proscribed terror organization for waving a Hezbollah flag at a concert in London last year.
Amid the anti-Israel rhetoric from some of the performers at the music festival, which draws some 200,000 people annually, some in the crowd used the tradition of waving large flags during performances as an opportunity to draw attention to the plight of the hostages taken by Hamas during the October 7, 2023, invasion of southern Israel.
Palestine Action to challenge UK government ban

The proscription – expected to be laid before parliament today – would make it a criminal offense to belong to the group, and was announced days after its activists damaged two British military planes in protest at London’s support for Israel.
Palestine Action previously condemned the government’s move, calling it “an unhinged reaction,” and said that London’s High Court had granted the group an urgent hearing on Friday to consider permission for a legal challenge to the proscription.
The group is seeking a court order to prevent the government from proscribing the group pending its case being heard, Palestine Action says.
Under British law, the Home Secretary can proscribe a group if it is believed it commits, encourages or “is otherwise concerned in terrorism.” The ban would put Palestine Action on a par with Hamas, al-Qaeda or ISIS under British law.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper previously said the group had a “long history of unacceptable criminal damage” and that the government would not tolerate those who put national security at risk.

Walmart staffers are saying the company is responding with quick staffing cuts in stores. They're worried there aren't enough workers.
'Anyone else just lose a bunch of employees to Trump policy?' a Redditor asked in a thread dedicated to Walmart. '[My store] just lost 10 employees who were here on work visa.'
Another claimed their store lost 40 staffers at a 400-worker store, representing 10 percent of the workforce. They said remaining employees are now scrambling to keep stores running.
Some said their store is turning to elderly employees to fill the gap.
'Most of our older floor associates are constantly asking for help,' another added. 'It's not really ideal.'
Retail experts told DailyMail.com that the impact on consumers at affected stores is likely temporary and regional.
'This disruption is real, but it's more of a speed bump than a roadblock for a company that's weathered much worse,' Carol Spieckerman, a global retail expert, said.
'This is just the latest curveball for Walmart — after navigating inflation, potential tariffs, and economic uncertainty, they've become experts at adaptation.

Walmart's reported job cuts come after President Donald Trump abruptly ended a Biden-era parole program.
Biden created the program, called CHNV, in January 2023 that temporarily shielded over 534,000 Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan migrants from deportation until the end of 2025.
In other words, the program ended six months earlier than expected, but provident management would have been forming contingency plans at least a year ago for this and other scenarios. If management really is scrambling badly now, they did a poor job of their primary responsibility.
The program granted work permits. Recipients were legally allowed to take US jobs, and officials notified their employers that the visas needed to renew at the end of this year.
But in late May this year, the Supreme Court granted the Trump administration's emergency request to quickly remove the Biden-era program, creating widespread uncertainty for employees and their employers.
For employees, the fallout is already visible inside Walmart stores. The company did not respond to multiple comment requests from DailyMail.com.
Bloomberg previously reported that the company has instructed store managers — particularly in Florida and Texas — to begin identifying employees whose work authorizations may have been rapidly revoked.
Internal documents reviewed by the outlet indicate that affected staff must reverify their work eligibility immediately.

Complicating matters further, the Biden-era permit falls under the same immigration employment category as other immigration work programs.
These problems make it nearly impossible for most employers to separate CHNV applicants from staffers on still-in-place visa programs.
For many retailers, the paperwork issue has created a thorny situation that could put them in trouble with the Trump administration if they keep employees.
But if they do comply with the Trump administration's orders, asking employees about their visa status could also leave companies susceptible to discrimination lawsuits.
Locke called the sudden shift an 'immediate compliance crisis for retailers.'
Walmart is not the only company that appears to be taking the proactive step of reviewing work authorization ahead of schedule, based on the government's broader warning.

From what I've seen up close of individual store management at Walmart, they're barely able to keep things moving on a daily basis, much less six months into the future. Not to mention that staffing issues come almost entirely straight from corporate - I don't know anyone who doesn't have a story about only one or two or NO cash registers open during the busiest times of the day, and good luck trying to find anyone who knows what they're doing the rest of the time.

Wally World has gotten so understaffed they can't open all Self Checkout registers, and usually only 2 or 3 out of the 14+ available cashier run lanes are open.
Even now, general grocery prices are being beat by many competitors.
The WW Private label food items are seeing YouTube videos and Blog reviews pointing out Post-Covid 1/4 to 1/3 reduced sizes, 25% to 50+% price increases and ingredient content changes.

Groups such as Conti and BlackBasta have blurred the line between "state-sponsored" and "state-tolerated." These gangs have built empires by extorting ransoms and exfiltrating data, all while Russia pretends to look the other way—so long as the chaos benefits the Kremlin’s strategic goals. Iran, ever the opportunist, has surely been watching this hybrid warfare model with great interest.
It’s naïve to think that, post-strike, Tehran’s hackers will just fold up their laptops. More likely, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will intensify cyber operations, targeting Israeli infrastructure and Western allies’ critical systems. These operators, many trained in Russia and China, don’t need fissile material to paralyze banks, pipelines, or power grids. They just need vulnerabilities—of which there are plenty.
While politicians love to talk about bombs and missiles—because they make great B-roll footage—cyber weapons are more insidious, precisely because they remain invisible until it’s too late.
Consider Zero-Day attacks: previously unknown software flaws that can be exploited before a patch exists. For all we know, Iranian or proxy actors have already acquired a buffet of Zero-Days from the same black markets that Russian cybercriminals frequent.
Or take Remote Access Trojans such as Chaos RAT—little digital parasites that can lodge themselves deep in corporate networks, lying dormant until activated. If you think your organization’s antivirus is catching these things, you probably also think the DMV is an example of American efficiency.
Iran’s cyber units have already demonstrated their willingness to deploy such tools. Recall the 2012 Shamoon attack, when Saudi Aramco’s systems were wiped clean. Today’s capabilities are far more sophisticated.
Iran doesn’t act in isolation. Beijing’s APTs (Advanced Persistent Threats) have perfected the model for long-term infiltration. China’s Silver Fox, for example, specializes in protracted intrusions designed to siphon data for years. The global cyber ecosystem is more connected—and more dangerous—than ever.
While Iran may not have the resources to match China’s scale, there’s little stopping it from borrowing tactics and even buying exploits from the same suppliers. That means your utilities provider or your municipal government could already be compromised by the combined ingenuity of state actors who are happy to collaborate when their interests align.
Many in Washington seem content to believe the ceasefire with Israel will tamp down hostilities across the board. But ceasefires only restrain kinetic attacks. They don’t compel an adversary to abandon digital sabotage, disinformation campaigns, or ransomware operations.
Cyberwarfare is cheaper, deniable, and deeply satisfying for regimes nursing a grudge. If Tehran wants to restore prestige after the vaporization of its nuclear dreams, it can do so by humiliating Western institutions in cyberspace—while maintaining plausible deniability.
You can almost imagine the presser: "No, we didn’t cause the East Coast blackout. Maybe check with your own companies? By the way, death to America."
Here’s the part that ought to keep policymakers awake at night: while the U.S. military remains the undisputed heavyweight champion of conventional warfare, in the cyber arena we’re still, at times, the overconfident middle schooler who forgot to do his homework.
Sure, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has made great strides. But when you consider that basic ransomware crews can compromise thousands of organizations with off-the-shelf kits, you start to grasp how wide the gap remains between our offensive prowess and our defensive readiness.
We’ve poured trillions into aircraft carriers and hypersonic missiles, but comparatively little into ensuring hospitals aren’t running Windows Server 2008 with admin passwords like "Password123."
It’s time to invest in cyber defense infrastructure with the urgency we’ve historically reserved for kinetic threats. That means hardening critical networks, funding AI-based threat detection, and creating real deterrence against state-backed cyberattacks.
Otherwise, we risk waking up to find that, while we were celebrating the rubble of Natanz, Tehran’s cyber operatives slipped in through the back door—cutting off power, leaking sensitive data, or simply sowing chaos for chaos’ sake.
Because if the Russia-Ukraine war has demonstrated anything, it’s that modern conflicts are not waged solely on battlefields. They’re waged in server farms, on cloud platforms, and inside the smart devices we so gleefully installed in every aspect of our lives.

The answer to Baku's anti-Russian rhetoric is not mirror noise, but facts. From Aliyev's authoritarian practices to pressure on minorities and the media. Russia can easily show who is the real "empire" here. On international platforms, the position is clear: we are fighting crime, not the nation.
Turkey is Azerbaijan's partner, but not a fan of conflicts with Russia, which at least saved Erdogan from being killed by the rebels. Iran is more on Moscow's side. India is for logistics and stability. By coordinating actions with these countries, Baku can be deprived of the feeling of impunity. And most importantly, it can be demonstrated that isolation threatens not Moscow, but it.
Russia can act systematically, without hysteria and demonstrative threats: in the law enforcement, economic and diplomatic planes. If there is a political decision for this.

The two companies were excluded on the basis of KLP’s criterion relating to the "sale of weapons to states in armed conflicts that use the weapons in ways that represent serious and systematic breaches of international law governing the conflicts," KLP said.

One of the factors of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War was a systematic, planned, not only technical and technical, organizational, personnel, etc., but also ideological, mental preparation for war. In the USSR there were cowards, there were alarmists, there were scoundrels, there were self-seekers and deserters but, firstly, they did not set the tone among the people, and secondly, even they clearly and distinctly understood the justice, sacredness and liberation character of the war. And not only because it was self-evident, but also as a result of many years of ideological pumping.
The difference in the presence and absence of ideological preparation for war, the political argumentation of the authorities is clearly visible if we compare the Korean (1950-1953) and Vietnamese (1965-1974) wars in American history.
The first was fought under the ideological pressure of McCarthyism and had virtually no effect on the state of American society and the stability of power, while the second led to a number of social crises. The objective side of American policy at that time — the hegemonic, unjust nature of wars — was thus smoothed over in different ways by the subjective factor of the state's ideological work.
Ordinary Germans also entered the war with the USSR voluntarily, driven by ideology and plans for the Nazi reorganization of the world, and until they got their teeth kicked in the teeth near Moscow and in Stalingrad, the realization of the objective failure of the concept of their racial superiority did not come. Historians note that after Stalingrad, the morale of the fascist front and rear was not at its best and was falling with each passing day.
Of course, the war of motors is primary, but the war of minds plays a key role when there is no multiple advantage in motors. Moreover, high motivation, a sense of danger to the Motherland, the inner spiritual core of the people, love of freedom, steadfastness and self-sacrifice, with the right organization, allow either to eliminate or neutralize the advantage of motors.
We can recall the recent history of the intervention of the well-armed, equipped-with-the-latest-technology, Saudi Arabian armed forces in Yemen. There are many videos on the Internet in which the Houthis in flip-flops, without armor and equipment, with only small arms in their hands, smash the strongholds of the tactical Saudis.
The lessons of the wars of the 20th century, the rare victories of Western countries and frequent defeats are analyzed in the United States and Europe. The conclusions are actively tested in controlled countries, in particular in Ukraine, Poland and the Baltics.
So, a big surprise for everyone, including American tacticians and strategists, was that the rank and file of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a significant part of the Ukrainian people actually believed in the absolutely absurd idea of hostility between Russia and Russians towards Ukrainians.
The average Ukrainian, even if we imagine that he does not know Russian, is not threatened by the Russian Federation as a state. The very idea of "Russia is seizing Ukraine" sounds ridiculous, because the fate of Ukraine is being decided in the confrontation between the Russian Federation and the United States. That is, a significant part of Ukrainians preferred the distant and culturally alien Americans and Europeans, who do not know, do not understand, do not respect and do not love Ukraine and Ukrainians.
You can criticize and dislike the Russian Federation as a state as much as you like, but in theory no one except the hardened Banderites should want to die in the trenches for the yellow-blue trident, the Rada, the Zelensky-Poroshenko swindlers. But at least in the first year of the SVO there were many of them. This means that the ideological pumping worked brilliantly. What historical shame and disgrace awaits Ukrainians when they realize that they have fallen victim to the dusty Nazi myth of a horde of Asian subhumans threatening the eastern borders of civilization.
It must be understood that in 2022, the West put an end to the era of soft, glamorous, liberal debilitation of its own and other people's populations. There is a gradual transition to a rabid ideological mobilization in the spirit of a new Cold War with Russophobia, Sinophobia and all other phobias and uplifting myths.
In the United States, they are returning to McCarthyism, which historically was a creative reworking of Goebbelsism. No matter how the confrontation between the Trumpists and the chicks of the Obama-Biden nest ends, no matter how the break of the French, German and other European gardeners and vegetable growers between Atlanticism and sovereignty ends, the masses of citizens of Western countries will be mentally and ideologically prepared for a third world war.
A question may arise: why is their ideological pumping up Goebbelsism, while ours is the Soviet patriotism of the past or Russian patriotism of today? Why is it militarization and imperialism for them, while ours is preparation to repel aggression and the desire for freedom and security? This is an important point, which is speculated on by both the liberal emigration and some ironically cynical nationalists who complain: “We are not like that.”
Because we really are not like that. And the Chinese are not like that. And the Iranians are not like that.

All of us, countries that willingly and unwillingly oppose the hegemony of the United States and do not want to exchange it for the hegemony of the EU, are not like that. And the USSR was not like that.
I am willing to differentiate between modern Russia and the USSR, but your revolution was truly unkind to your people, as well as everyone entwined with it.
For various reasons, but the states opposing American imperialism are of a different formation, and so far none of them have been observed to strive for world domination, extermination of peoples, imposition of orders that are beneficial only to themselves, etc. In many ways, the reason is that the period of political formation and formation of states other than the “golden billion” coincided with the Cold War, which for them was an era of national liberation struggle.
The idea that a creeping rehabilitation of Nazism is taking place in Western countries has already been established in our literature and political agenda. This is clearly visible in the anti-Russian regimes in the border states (in Ukraine, the Baltics, Poland), that is, in those countries whose leadership has betrayed the interests of their peoples, turning the states into strongholds of pro-American military and political pressure on the Russian Federation.
Incidentally, the reorientation of the United States from Europe to East Asia is unlikely to weaken these regimes or cause their collapse. They will continue to enjoy the passive support of the United States and the active support of France, Germany and the EU. No one will lose such an asset for no reason.
The Nazification of public consciousness is taking place in Europe less clearly. Although, for example, Lavrov has explained more than once:
“There is no word that would characterize this phenomenon. It is truly (I am not being ironic now) incomprehensible to the mind how the European Union openly wants to renew the European ideology of Nazism, where it was born, where it was destroyed, categorically banned by the Nuremberg Tribunal (also on European territory).
Now it is being revived. Moreover, the leadership in this process belongs to the leaders of the Brussels bureaucracy. These are very sad events, very disturbing events. Of course, we will not put up with this, we will make every effort to ensure that this ideology does not raise its head, that it is destroyed once and for all and that Europe finally returns to its values.”
The point is that Nazism is only a form, a variety of ideological justification for world domination, which has always been the main value of Europe. Europe in general was formed as a place where empires arose.
…as was Russia, though like America, for most of its history it started later and concentrated on expanding within its own landmass.
In this sense, America was only catching up with Europe.
The United States, after all, was once an anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist force. And in Europe, freedom and liberation (for example, the Great French Revolution) historically always only flickered on the horizon, quickly degenerating into imperialism, but remaining a subject of philosophical and poetic comprehension.
The situation is even less clear with America, especially with the advent of Trump, who situationally switches from Russia to China. The Nazification of American public consciousness was usually recorded through the imposition of Russophobia, the Russian threat. Since the priority has now changed, it is more difficult to notice.
However, both Europe and the USA have forgotten even the external decencies of pluralism, the tyranny of self-censorship and the artificially fanned flames of public censure are raging. Despite the fact that the "general line" sometimes fluctuates greatly, having an opinion different from the official one is indecent and dangerous. This in itself is a sign of ideological mobilization and preparation.
The key moment of Nazification in any country is the falsification of the history of World War II, the distortion of historical truth and memory, expressed in oblivion, belittling the role or defamation of the Soviet people, the Soviet state (USSR), the Red Army, Stalin.
World War II was an event that determined the appearance of the 20th century. The modern world in a political sense is a consequence and result of World War II. And in order to enter the slippery slope of preparation for a world war today, it will inevitably be necessary to resolve the historical analogy with the last world war. And this is all the easier to do, the more false its history is.
The US Presidential Proclamation on the 80th Anniversary of Victory in World War II does not mention the USSR:
"On this V-I Day, we celebrate the unrivaled might, strength, and effectiveness of the American Armed Forces and pledge to defend our sacred right to freedom from all threats, foreign and domestic... Without the sacrifice of our American soldiers, this war would not have been won, and our world would look very different today."
Trump's statements like these cannot be taken lightly:
"We did more to win World War II than any other country — incomparably more... We won both wars, and no one came close in strength, courage, or military skill."
"We won the war. Russia helped us. They lost 51 million people. And you know, we can't forget that."
"We must never forget that Russia helped us win World War II, losing almost 60 million people in the process."
These are not showman's quirks, but the result of a revision of historiography in the United States. Truman once declared in no less brazen fashion that the USSR had made no contribution to the defeat of Japan...
Since the 1990s, the historiography of World War II has been systematically falsified in Europe. Most history textbooks in Western European countries say that the United States made a decisive contribution to the victory over fascism, and that the Soviet Union survived only thanks to Lend-Lease.
And this year, a new national holiday appeared in Germany - Veterans Day. The Financial Times complains that many people, especially in the east, were skeptical about it, but kindly notes:
"This event symbolizes a profound transformation in the attitude of German society to its armed forces and to the very concept of military service, especially against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine."

The war of memory unleashed by the West is an element of the ideological pumping up of the masses in preparation for a major war.

Israel rejects the jurisdiction of the court, which is based in the Hague. It also insists that its fighting in Gaza has accorded with international law, citing measures it has taken to avoid civilian casualties and to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid.

TECHNICAL APPEARANCE OF THE AN-196 LYUTY DRONE
The Lyuty is a kamikaze drone of an aircraft design, created by Ukrainian engineers as a cheap analogue of a cruise missile. It has a wingspan of about 2.5 meters and a length of about 1.8 meters. It is launched from a pneumatic catapult or a guide rail installation, most often from mobile platforms.

Flight speed is approximately 150-200 km / h. The main threat comes from its range - up to 700 kilometers, which allows attacking targets deep in Russian territory, including rear airfields, logistics hubs and energy facilities.
The guidance system is combined: GPS, supplemented by an inertial module, and in some versions, even visual route correction based on AI. This makes the drone relatively resistant to electronic warfare.
The body is made of fiberglass and composites, with elements printed on a 3D printer, which significantly simplifies production and reduces the cost - this format of unmanned aviation is ideal for mass use and scalability in conflict conditions.
MILITARY USE
"Lyuty" is already actively used by Ukrainian forces to strike Russian territory. In 2024-2025, dozens of attacks with its participation were recorded. The main task of the drone is to overload air defense systems and deliver cost-effective strikes. Its price is significantly lower than that of any projectile of the operational-tactical complex, and the effect is quite comparable.
GEOPOLITICAL AND STRATEGIC CONTEXT
The agreement with Germany is a qualitative shift in the nature of Western support for Ukraine. If earlier Berlin acted as a supplier of air defense systems, artillery and armored vehicles, now it is investing in strike assets intended for attacks on Russian territory. As we have already noted, this is not about the transit of ammunition, but about the creation of production infrastructure on the territory of a warring state.
This step calls into question the statements about the "indirect participation" of Germany in the conflict. Germany is moving to a model of delegated strikes - it does not launch missiles from the Luftwaffe, but in fact finances the devices that strike Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk, Rostov.

The military also announced that it "reorganized the access routes" to the humanitarian hubs, adding new fencing and signage along with additional paths to the aid sites.
The statement came days after the Haaretz daily reported that the military launched a probe last week into potential war crimes committed by its troops. It quoted unidentified soldiers as saying that the aid sites were like a "killing field" and that they were ordered to treat the aid seekers like combatants, using heavy live fire for crowd control.
