The cars were fired on from an army base in Psagot, killing Abu Qweik's 32-year-old wife Bushra, as well as his three children. Two people in the other car also died. "The Palestinian people and Hamas' armed wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, will avenge my slain family," Qweik said as he headed a march of some 500 Hamas supporters.

America's Western Forests Are a Massive Soft Target for Terrorists and Their Domestic Accomplices
2020-09-20
On October 28, 2019, with American commandos closing in, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest and took his life. On January 3, 2020, Qasem Soleimani was blown to bits in a U.S. air strike. Baghdadi was the leader of ISIS; Soleimani was Iran’s most powerful military commander.

Despite losing the territory it had overrun in Syria and Iraq, and despite Baghdadi’s death, ISIS remains a growing threat, with operations all over the world. Similarly, despite Soleimani’s death, under his leadership Iran helped Hezbollah grow into a powerful and expanding international network.

Already bitter enemies of America, how have ISIS and Hezbollah escalated their war after seeing their leaders killed by U.S. forces? What sort of activities have they initiated on U.S. soil, and how have those activities increased in recent years, especially in 2020?

The destruction of the World Trade Center in 2001 by al-Qaeda terrorists, along with gruesome lone wolf attacks by Islamic jihadists, tend to overshadow the fact that ISIS and Hezbollah have been quietly building their networks within the United States for many years. There is evidence these organizations could be involved in the unrest that has convulsed the nation over the past few months, possibly including arson in the western forests.

In 2017, Edward Klein, a veteran journalist and former editor-in-chief of the New York Times Magazine, published an article in the Daily Mail alleging that U.S. left-wing Antifa groups traveled to Germany to meet with al-Qaeda and ISIS leaders. In his report, Klein avers that the terrorist organizations were helping these U.S. left-wing groups to acquire bomb-making equipment and toxic chemicals and gasses.

Quoting extensively from a secret FBI report, Klein wrote, "Making some sort of common cause with Americans who are determined to commit violence against the U.S. makes them potentially very useful to radical Islam."

Klein went on to explain how President Trump changed the rules of engagement, which caused ISIS to intensify its relationships with the radical Left in America: "As the Trump administration has demonstrated it’s serious about destroying the Islamic State, and depriving ISIS of territory in Iraq and Syria, the alliance between the American radicals and ISIS has grown even closer. The Internet chatter between the Americans and the Islamists is astronomical."

Klein also noted how, by comparison, President Obama ignored the domestic threat: "The FBI is really playing catchup ball, because the Obama administration refused to give the bureau the resources it needed to effectively infiltrate and surveil the radical groups on college campuses."

If ISIS is a relatively recent arrival, Hezbollah has been actively building a base in the United States for years. Also in 2017, writing for Politico, investigative reporter John Meyer published a lengthy report titled, "The secret backstory of how Obama let Hezbollah off the hook." Meyer describes how Hezbollah "transformed itself from a Middle East-focused military and political organization into an international crime syndicate that some investigators believed was collecting $1 billion a year from drug and weapons trafficking, money laundering and other criminal activities."

In his desperation to forge a deal with Iran, according to Meyer, Obama ignored evidence amassed by the DEA that showed how Hezbollah was making hundreds of millions by shipping cocaine and other drugs through Venezuela and Mexico into the United States.

According to one DEA whistleblower Klein interviewed, "The closer we got to the [Iran deal], the more these activities went away. So much of the capability, whether it was special operations, whether it was law enforcement, whether it was [Treasury] designations—even the capacity, the personnel assigned to this mission—it was assiduously drained, almost to the last drop, by the end of the Obama administration."

International Terrorists, Domestic Insurrectionists
While Antifa militants reportedly networked with ISIS militants in Germany in 2017, in 2013 the Black Lives Matter movement began receiving support from the Venezuelan regime.

In a report just published in American Greatness, retired CIA agent Gary Berntsen describes how in 2013, Black Lives Matter founder Opal Tometi and her entourage traveled to Venezuela for meetings with Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro. Berntsen writes, "During those meetings, Chavez ordered that BLM be given $10 million to help create a foundational base for their organization."

Berntsen documents how Chavez ceded control of three southern provinces to Colombian narco-terrorist organizations, entering into a joint venture to pour hundreds of tons of cocaine into the United States. Most of this cocaine found its way into America’s inner cities, an irony perhaps lost on BLM militants but useful to America’s enemies. Destroy young black lives with drugs, then give money to agitators who will tell the drug-addled mobs that racism, not drugs, is the reason for their destitution.

If you want to engage in asymmetric terrorism, however, there are few options more potent than wildfire arson. The forests of the Western United States, overgrown and tinder dry thanks to years of mismanagement, are easy targets. While there isn’t publicly available hard evidence that the devastating wildfires consuming America’s forests this year are being set by politically motivated arsonists, there is plenty of evidence that ISIS has been encouraging it.

In early 2017, ISIS praised the arsonists that had recently torched forests throughout Israel and provided instructions on how to use arson to "impose terror on an entire country." In July 2017, in the Journal of Terrorism and Political Violence, author János Besenyő elaborated on the over 220 forest fires started in Israel by arsonists in 2016 in an article entitled "Inferno Terror: Forest Fires as the New Form of Terrorism."

Then in October 2017, after Californians had just endured another round of devastating wildfires, ISIS celebrated the catastrophe in its newsletter, "days after supporters suggested laying gasoline-filled bottles in the woods to inflict further damage."

On November 3, 2019, days after Baghdadi’s death, "A media outlet affiliated with ISIS has been instructing the group’s radical adherents to set forest fires in the United States and Europe to cause mass ecological disasters, according to posts on an internet forum dedicated to the terror group." This was widely reported in journals ranging from Fox News and the New York Post to Law Enforcement Today.

Less than a year later, is it mere coincidence that over 7,000 square miles of America’s western forests have been incinerated so far in 2020, or were some of these hundreds of fires started not just by ordinary arsonists, but politically motivated arsonists? Just this past May, as reported in Homeland Security Today, "ISIS Ramps Up Use of Wildfire Arson as Simple Tactic."

Little if anything in the current reporting mentions the role of foreign terrorist groups in starting this year’s wildfires. In fact, there are only scant reports of arson causing any of them. The prevailing narrative is that lightning strikes and human carelessness have sparked fires in forests that are tinder dry because of climate change. But there is plenty of evidence of connections between foreign terrorist groups and Antifa and Black Lives Matter. And there is little reason to believe that at least some of the domestic militants who are willing to loot and burn down American cities and invade American suburbs would hesitate to ignite American forests.

To be fair, America’s insurrectionists seem to have support from a plethora of institutions and individuals. Democrats and their media allies, to the extent they acknowledge the severity of the violence, attribute it to "Trump’s America," hoping it will destroy him politically. Money pours into the BLM movement from globalist billionaires and America’s major corporations. It would strain credulity not to suggest that Russian and Chinese intelligence agencies are finding discrete ways to lend a hand.

Perhaps America’s own "deep state" is coordinating the whole mess—it’s quite obvious that powerful federal bureaucrats including members of the intelligence community want Trump out. And then there are the climate change activists, solidly entrenched within every significant institution in America. No doubt for many of them, these forest fires are a regrettable but necessary step towards depopulating America’s rural landscapes, and ratcheting down the screws of green tyranny all that much tighter, all that much sooner.

With all that, one might consider a role in America’s ongoing insurrection for ISIS and Hezbollah to be an insignificant sideshow. That would be a dangerous mistake. They are here, and they have embraced wildfire arson as a recommended tactic. They are powerful, bent on vengeance, with eager accomplices among the more hardened elements of the American Left.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Why the criticism of the Israel-UAE-Bahrain deal doesn't hold up
2020-09-19
[JPOST] Here are some of the criticisms that have been leveled lately, and what is right or wrong about them:

This isn’t a peace treaty, because Israel and the UAE and Bahrain were never at war.

This has come up repeatedly from supposedly serious people who are knowledgeable about foreign policy issues. But it’s an extremely superficial argument.

For the 72 years of Israel’s existence, there has been the "Arab-Israeli conflict."

In more recent decades, some have tended to narrow it down to the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict, but the Arab world — with the exception of Egypt and Jordan — never officially backed down from its stance of being in conflict with Israel.

Even if the UAE and Bahrain weren’t independent countries at the time, their stance toward Israel leaned on the Arab League
...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing...
’s "three noes" announced in Khartoum in 1967 — no peace, no recognition, no negotiations — and depended entirely on Israel’s position vis-à-vis the Paleostinians. When the Oslo process seemed like it was going to work out, there were moves toward negotiations; when the Second Intifada broke out, they stopped.

Even as ties between Israel and moderate Sunni Gulf states warmed in recent years, those countries would not officially acknowledge Israel.

As little as five years ago, UAE Ambassador to the US Yusef Al Otaiba had to deny to the media that he had a good relationship with Ambassador to the US Ron Dermer, even though they were quietly working together on opposing the Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
deal, and the members of the Washington foreign policy establishment could see it with their own eyes.

The agreements that were signed may not be been between countries that had directed tanks or missiles at each other, but they are between countries that were on opposite sides of a decades-long conflict. And in that sense, they most certainly are about making peace.

Beyond that, the idea behind them that the smaller conflict between Israel and the Paleostinians should not have to reverberate through the entire region, when there really are no hostilities between Israel and most Arab countries, is one that will promote peace and stability.

Plus, this is, in a way, more like peace than the agreements with Jordan and Egypt. Previous peace treaties were only about stopping aggression between the countries. It was peace between leaders.

But the Jordanian parliament calls to cancel peace with Israel practically every month, and the country harbors terrorist Ahlam Tamimi, who orchestrated the 2001 Sbarro bombing that killed 15 people and has become a local TV star, while the Egyptian media are laden with antisemitic, anti-Israel messaging.

Those are countries that constantly seek Israel’s help in security, agriculture and other areas, while Israel gets only nonaggression in return.

With the UAE — and to a lesser extent Bahrain — this is peace between peoples that are excited to cooperate with each other. Israeli bankers flew out to the UAE, and Emirati businesspeople are already working on investments in Israel. One is even considering buying Beitar Jerusalem.

One clear sign of this is that UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed spoke in Arabic at the White House. Contrary to the criticism that Arab leaders say one thing in English and another thing to their people, he wanted to send the same message of peace with Israel at home and abroad.

This has been in the works all along, so it’s not a big deal.

Ties between Israel and the UAE been warming for the past two decades or so, with an uptick in the past several years; it’s true. The turning point seems to be the B.O. regime’s Iran deal.

Both Israel and the Gulf states saw the developing agreement as a threat, and worked together behind the scenes to fight it. But these joint efforts were kept under wraps, as noted above.

To highlight the disingenuousness of this criticism, which has been leveled by B.O. regime alumni, among others, here is a quote from then-secretary of state John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, unsuccessful presidential candidate, and utterly failed Secretary of State...
at the Saban Forum in 2016:

"There will be no separate peace between Israel and the Arab world. I want to make that very clear to all of you. I’ve heard several prominent politicians in Israel sometimes say, ’Well, the Arab world is in a different place now, we just have to reach out to them and we can work [out] some things with the Arab world and then we can reach out to the Paleostinians.’

No, no, no and no. I can tell you, I reaffirmed that last week when I talked to the leaders of the Arab community, there will be no advance and separate peace with the Arab world without the Paleostinian process and Paleostinian peace. Everybody needs to understand that. That is a hard reality."

So, no, this isn’t something that was happening all along. The shift in the Middle East prompted by the B.O. regime’s empowerment of Iran, plus the Trump administration’s willingness to look at the region differently, along with efforts by Netanyahu and the courage of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan made this new, big thing happen.

The F-35 argument: This is just an arms deal dressed up as peace.

One of the news hounds in the Israeli delegation was surprised to find that whenever he wrote anything about Israel-UAE peace in English, he was bombarded with tweets about the "military-industrial complex."

Trying to convince the Noam Chomsky
...Intellectual and political theorist of a socialist persuasion. He is noted for being so far out in left field he can't see the shortstop on every issue he pushes...
/Howard Zinn/Oliver Stone acolytes is probably a waste of time. But those who are not predisposed to thinking that everything is part of a vast warmongering conspiracy may want to look at the actual facts of the situation.

On the side of the "this is just an arms deal" argument is the fact that these are all parties that view Iran as a threat.

Broadly, Israel and the UAE have always bought weapons from the US. This deal is not going to change that.

More specifically, the issue of F-35s has come up repeatedly in the media. The UAE sought to buy the jets years before it decided to move forward with normalization with Israel, and it has not dropped that request.

Israel is currently the only country in the Middle East that owns those warplanes, and the official position of the government and the IDF is to oppose the sale to any others in the region, as it would weaken Israel’s qualitative military edge. The QME is guaranteed under American law.

Israel, the UAE and the US all say that F-35 or any other arms sales are not, I repeat not, part of this deal. Officials from all three countries have said this publicly and on the record.

And as far as the written agreement goes, this is true.

Does the UAE still want to buy the planes?

Yes, and as its Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said this week, it expects that the peace agreement will help. Does the Trump administration want to sell them? Yes.

Did Israel give tacit agreement? In The Jerusalem Post’s assessment, after much digging into the subject, no. But there is someone out there anonymously telling The New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

otherwise; make of that what you will.

In any case, some Democrats, such as Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz
...Congresswoman from Florida, the abrasive chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. She has been a politician since 1992, and prior to that was in training as a political science major. Her primary accomplishment seems to be that she's Jewish...
, have already spoke out against the possible F-35 sale, which could take years and will have to be approved by Congress.

Whether or not the UAE gets the jets will probably depend on who is president and who is in Congress next year.

Regardless, it is not an annex to the peace deal, even though it is a related matter.

Israel is supporting nondemocratic countries by making peace with the UAE and Bahrain.

This is one of the most absurd arguments, and yet it is coming from places like the Brookings Institute, where one would think its scholars would know better.

Taken to its logical endpoint, this means that Israel should remain isolated in the Middle East as a point of principle. Because if Israel were to make peace only with democracies, it would be limited to Tunisia, and that’s only in the past decade.

It also ignores the fact that the vast majority of democracies in the world — with the exceptions of Tunisia and Indonesia — have relations with Israel, while it is the dictatorships that do not.

Most countries that do not have ties with Israel are authoritarian. Sudan, an Arab League state that is now emerging from a dictatorship, is actively seeking ties with Israel.

The hypocrisy of leveling this criticism at Israel when nearly every other country in the world has relations with Bahrain and the UAE is incredibly glaring.

And, of course, people want Israel to make peace with the Paleostinians despite the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
and his cohort being far from paragons of democracy.

This is all about boosting Trump and Netanyahu politically.

There is merit to this criticism, as this deal has major political advantages for both.

As Pelosi said this week: "Good for [Trump] for having a distraction on a day when the numbers of people who are affected and the numbers of people who are dying from [coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
] only increases."

Plus, the agreement clearly appeals to Trump’s Evangelical Christian base, whose leaders were at the ceremony in the White House and celebrated the breakthrough.

The Abraham Accords are named after the "common ancestor Abraham" and call "to foster in the Middle East a reality in which Moslems, Jews, Christians and people of all faiths... live in and are committed to a spirit of coexistence, mutual understanding and mutual respect."

This also bolsters Trump’s "dealmaker" image in the run-up to the November presidential election, and he made sure to mock "Sleepy Joe" Biden during his meeting with Netanyahu in the Oval Office.

Netanyahu’s position as a statesman who boosts Israel’s stature on the world stage has only grown stronger in the month since the UAE normalization was announced.

Netanyahu can point to his consistent position that Israel can make peace only through strength and not through concessions, and say that he was right all along with this deal.

However — and this is a major caveat — the political benefits for Trump and Netanyahu only go so far.

For Netanyahu, the timing could not be worse, as Israel heads to a three-week lockdown to try to curb the rise of coronavirus morbidity. Was the agreement celebrated in Israel?

Yes. But it was also overshadowed by people trying to figure out how to juggle their jobs with kids who are stuck at home and preparing for holidays, or people who are going to spend the holiday alone, or people wondering whether their businesses will survive. Netanyahu faced strong criticism for leaving the country for three days while it was in such a crisis, and for not wearing a mask while sitting near Trump in the Oval Office.

And while Trump may have hoped this would distract from coronavirus, it didn’t exactly work. The chyron across the bottom of the screen on CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
during the signing ceremony noted the crowds and lack of masks.

And like Israelis, Americans are dealing with the effects of varying degrees of lockdowns and high numbers of people with the virus.

Plus, the economy is the No. 1 election issue in the US. Foreign policy is low on that list. This is unlikely to actually move the dial very much for Trump.

This isn’t peace without concessions; Israel gave up on illusory sovereignty in the West Bank.

This argument from the Right highlights the weakness of the previous criticism; Netanyahu took a risk with his base in making these agreements on these terms.

This is also an argument that has some merit to it, since Netanyahu had been playing up illusory sovereignty moves for so long.

The Trump peace plan allowed for Israel to apply its laws to up to 30% of Judea and Samaria, including all of the Israeli communities and the Jordan Valley, and for a time it seemed like it was on track to really happen.

But White House senior adviser Jared Kushner was hesitant from day one. When Netanyahu announced he was going to make illusory sovereignty moves immediately after the Trump plan was presented, Kushner put a stop to it, and the Americans never gave the green light. Netanyahu was never going to go ahead without an OK from Washington.

In the end, Israel is getting something concrete in exchange for stopping something theoretical, something that had not happened yet. The opportunity for illusory sovereignty may not come back, even though the US says it’s "suspended" and not totally off the table — but the opportunity might not have actually been there to begin with.

Right-wing critics should note that the Trump administration touted Netanyahu’s acceptance of a Paleostinian state in the framework of its plan, and a map of what Israel’s borders would be. But the Abraham Accords Peace Agreement includes none of that.

It also does not include any mention of settlements at all, let alone the settlement construction freeze some feared, though there has been a de facto freeze for six months, since Netanyahu has not convened the planning committee that could authorize building.

It reached a point where even late-night host Johnny Carson took a jab at Biden, who at the time was a U.S. senator from Delaware and running his first bid for the White House, seeking the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination.

"On the political scene, one of the Democratic candidates, a Senator Joseph Biden — have you seen the problem he’s been having?" Carson asked his audience at the start of the "Tonight Show" one evening.

"He went around and made a speech and apparently he quoted a -- I think it was a British politician, took his speech and kind of paraphrased it as his own.

"And then the press got on him. And then he was charged also with taking part of Bobby Kennedy’s speeches.

"And Biden says, not to worry. He reassured his staff, he said, ’We have nothing to fear but fear itself.’"

Libyan Army kills emir of ISIS in southern Libya
2020-09-18
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Libyan National Army (LNA) front man, Major General Ahmed al-Mismari, announced the killing of the emir of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) terrorist organization in Libya, Abu Abdullah, in a specific operation west of Sabha
...After the Libyan Civil War, Sabha grew in importance as a slave auctioning town. However, an investigation by the National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) revealed that while there was illegal slavery, reports were exaggerated, as slave auctions were rare and not made public. This was a great comfort to everyone but the slaves peddled in secret. The city was later seized by forces loyal to the Libyan National Army (LNA) and its leader Khalifa Haftar in January 2019, probably for its collection of MiG-25 aircraft....
.

According to Mismari, the LNA received information about an Islamic State terrorist cell in the neighborhood Kafi of Sabha, pointing out that the "116th Infantry Battalion clashed with the group in a battle that lasted seven hours straight."

He said, "The battle ended with the elimination of nine gunnies and the arrest of two women, one from Benghazi named Sana Abdul-Hadi Salem, born in 1980, the wife of the ISIS terrorist Othman al-Abbar, who was killed in the operation, and the other woman is the wife of the emir of ISIS in Libya, and she is an Egyptian named Najla Mahmoud Afifi Hussein."

The Libyan National Army front man pointed out that several other people had been arrested, including a Libyan, three Saudis, an Egyptian, a Sudanese, a Nigerian, and another from the Ivory Coast.

Previously, the Libyan National Army killed two Islamic State gunnies in southern Libya, including an Australian national, after a brief clash with the group.

The cluster of cases occurred in the Bavarian resort town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where the 26-year-old woman in question, who has not been identified, worked at the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort. Some 740 tests were conducted in the town over the weekend, and officials are still awaiting results from 300 tests conducted on Monday, according to the Associated Press.

Markus Soeder, the leader of Bavaria, called the outbreak "a model case of stupidity." He said that he thinks the woman, who visited bars despite her pending test result, should be fined, noting that "such recklessness must have consequences."

The cluster of cases linked to the woman has resulted in a 10 p.m. curfew on bars and restaurants in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the closure of the 258-room Edelweiss Lodge and Resort, which is owned by the Pentagon and used by U.S. military forces. The facility will be shuttered for at least two weeks. The U.S. military is conducting an investigation into the outbreak, including contact tracing, according to John Tomassi, spokesman for the U.S. Army Europe.

Andrea Mayer, a spokeswoman for prosecutors in Munich, told the Associated Press that there is an "ongoing" investigation into the woman on suspicion of causing bodily harm.

Germany has had more than 265,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and at least 9,367 deaths since the pandemic began.

Teacher arrested for beating students in Jhelum
2020-09-17
[DAILYTIMES.PK] A teacher was arrested for allegedly beating up students in Jhelum’s Khansama on Wednesday, the police confirmed.

The children were students of primary grades and took classes at the suspect’s tuition centre. The suspect reportedly used to beat them with slaps, pens, pencils and scales.

A First Information Report (FIR) No. 372/20 has been registered against the teacher Muhammad Abu Bakar and the news was confirmed by Fasial Vawda who took to Twitter congratulating the District Police Officer (DPO) Jhelum and sharing a copy of the police report.

The petitioner said two of his daughters, both minors, were studying at the "Reformer Academy" in Jhelum’s Mohallah Khansama, according to a copy of the FIR available with Geo.tv.

The father further said in the FIR his daughters had refused to go to the tuition classes for the past few days and after asking them why, he got to know that it was due to fear of being beaten by their teacher. The incident had caused them severe physical and mental pain, said the father.

Earlier in the day, Faisal Vawda in his tweet said that he has just received the video of a teacher torturing students and added that these corporal punishments (beating, shaming) scar our children’s minds forever!

Another incident took place in 2018. Another madrasa teacher beat a 9-year-old child to death. The student name was Mohammad Hussain. The teacher become violent mostly peaceful when teaching the sacred text of Holy Koran to innocent little children.

Abusing children for the inability to learn is unethical and immoral. Calling your student off for not being able to understand something is forcefully making them accept that they are dumb. Such teachers do not realize that their actions have a great impact on the individual’s life.

Minnesota man charged with providing material support to Islamic State
2020-09-17
[ALMASDARNEWS] A resident of the US state of Minnesota has been charged with providing support to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
terrorist group (outlawed in Russia),
...outlawed in America, too, O idiotic Al Masdar reporter...
the Department of Justice announced in a blurb.

"Abdelhamid al-Madioum, 23, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, has been charged by indictment with providing material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (IS), a designated foreign terrorist organization," the release said on Wednesday.

Al-Madioum was detained overseas by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and recently transferred into FBI custody and then returned to Minnesota, the Justice Department noted.

"On June 23, 2015, al-Madioum, a native of Morocco and naturalized US citizen, and his family traveled from St. Louis Park, Minnesota, to Casablanca, Morocco, to visit their extended family. On July 8, 2015, al-Madioum left Morocco and traveled to Istanbul, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor...
, and then on to Iraq and Syria, where he joined [IS]," the release said.

In March 2019, al-Madioum was captured and detained by the SDF, the Justice Department noted.
Update from the Star Tribune at 4:00 p.m. EDT:
Al-Madioum, who lost much of one arm from an apparent air assault in Iraq...

Al-Madioum studied engineering at Normandale Community College in Bloomington from June 2014 to May 2015. According to a federal search warrant, he also worked for the college’s IT department.

Interviews with former classmates of al-Madioum following a 2017 Star Tribune report on his disappearance painted a picture of an easygoing man who liked cracking jokes and had an affinity for marijuana.

Former friends say he grew more devout in his Moslem faith and withdrew from his former friend group not long after his family caught him with marijuana.

According to the complaint:

Family members said that while in Casablanca on July 7, 2015, al-Madioum claimed to not feel well and skipped dinner. He later prayed and socialized with family until 3 a.m., then went to bed.

When family awoke the next day, al-Madioum was gone. So was his passport and cellphone. Law enforcement in Morocco told the family al-Madioum boarded a commercial flight that morning to Istanbul, a common pathway to Syria for ISIS recruits.

FBI agents searched the family’s home in St. Louis Park about a month later and found notes he wrote expressing his intent to join ISIS.

They included a sketch of a symbol on the ISIS flag. Next to it al-Madioum wrote the Arabic word for "allegiance."

In late August of that year, al-Madioum called his family and said he was working in a hospital in ISIS-controlled djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, Iraq, treating the injured.

In March 2017, al-Madioum informed his family he moved to Raqqa, Syria, and had a child with a woman he married after her husband died fighting for ISIS. It is "common for ISIS members to marry women whose husbands have died while fighting for ISIS," the indictment read.

U.S. military in Mosul located payroll and biographical documents indicating that al-Madioum was in ISIS.

In fall 2016, al-Madioum was assigned as a soldier in a battalion whose duties included "preparing imported muscle to conduct suicide kabooms in European countries," the criminal complaint read. The unit’s founder was the criminal mastermind behind terror attacks in Gay Paree in 2015 and in Belgium in 2016.

But in an interview with CBS News last year in Syria after his arrest, al-Madioum said he never fought for ISIS.

By March 2019, ISIS territory had withered under SDF assaults to a small village on the Syria-Iraq border. al-Madioum and others surrendered to the SDF and was moved to a Syrian prison.

He said two children with him were his, and that his wife had been killed in Syria.

FBI agents met with al-Madioum four months later. He told them he lost his right arm above the elbow during an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
in Mosul and suffered leg injuries as well.

He later admitted to the FBI that he first contacted ISIS on Twitter saying "he wanted to fight Moslem oppression by the Syrian regime and to attend medical school."

A Twitter account promoting ISIS called "Birds of Paradise" provided al-Madioum on how to travel to Syria and join the terror group.

Once in Istanbul, al-Madioum told the FBI, he was among about 30 people who were trucked to the The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
-Syria border, then escorted into Syria on foot.

Not long after, he was taken to Mosul, where he was trained in first aid and assigned to a hospital.

After the injury to his arm and legs from the airstrike, he was unable to work. He stayed in Mosul until surrendering to the SDF 18 months later.

In his interview with CBS, al-Madioum claimed that FBI interrogators warned that he could face 15 years in prison if brought back to the country he once called home.

"Fifteen years is a very long time for mistakes you made coming to Syria," al-Madioum told the network, adding he believed he should be forgiven.

Related from 2017: Feds have at least six open cases looking at ISIS support in Minnesota
Seamus Hughes, deputy director of the George Washington University Program on Extremism. said he would be surprised if there was not an element of "peer-to-peer" recruitment, as with the young Somali-Minnesotans who plotted to go to Syria in 2014 and 2015. "If not, this is truly an outlier," he said.

Al-Madioum is now the eighth Minnesotan identified as being under suspicion of leaving his family behind to join ISIS.

The FBI has said that it has 1,000 counterterrorism investigations open, spanning all 50 states, and Minnesota has seen more than most. Three of the suspected Minnesota travelers have been charged and nine others convicted of trying to follow them.

Since 2015, the flow of Americans trying to join the terror group overseas has slowed to a trickle of just one or two per month. That may reflect a shift in recruitment messaging: As it has lost territory in Syria and Iraq, ISIS has been encouraging its followers to commit attacks in their home countries.

Palestinians Fire Rockets Into Israel, Wounding 2, During White House Ceremony
2020-09-16
[Al-Rooters via Newsmax] Palestinian militants fired rockets from Gaza into Israel on Tuesday, the Israeli military said, at same time as Israel and two Gulf Arab states signed normalization agreements at the White House in Washington.

Warning sirens sounded in the coastal cities of Ashkelon and Ashdod as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump met the foreign ministers of United Arab Emirates and Bahrain at the White House.

Israel's Magen David Adom ambulance service said paramedics treated two men for light injuries from flying glass in Ashdod, and four others suffered shock.

An Israeli military spokesman said the Iron Dome anti-missile system intercepted one of two rockets fired from Gaza.

In Gaza, which is controlled by the Islamist militant group Hamas, dozens of Palestinians rallied outside a U.N. office to condemn the normalization deals shortly before the signing ceremony began.

"Palestine isn't for sale," protesters chanted.

Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, said the Bahrain and UAE agreements would not bring Israel peace in the region.

"Peoples of the region will continue to deal with this occupation as their true enemy," he told Reuters, speaking from Turkey. Hamas did not claim responsibility for the rockets.

In Ramallah in the occupied West Bank there was a small, muted protest at which 200 people gathered in a central square.

Some carried a banner reading: "The UAE-Israeli normalization agreement is a reward for the state of occupation and for settlements, and is a stab in the back of Jerusalem and of Palestine."

The normalization agreements are the first signed between Israel and Arab states since the peace accords with Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.

However, they breach what had been a long-standing Arab consensus that normalization of ties with Israel should only come after the creation of an independent Palestinian state in Gaza and the occupied West Bank with East Jerusalem as its capital. The Palestinians see that aspiration as badly damaged by the new agreements.
