#1 "Dimitri". Hmm. Is Perricos Russian? Perhaps the busted oil deal with russia is now coming home to roost?

This is fortuitous. If either of these guys knows where nuke stuff is hidden, but doesn't talk, THEN the USA can give evidence of where they think the nuke stuff is hidden. Saddam won't know if the scientists snitched, or if the info came from other sources. Doesn't matter: When it comes to composing a chain of logic, he suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder, and will finger the Scientists.

Poor guys, having to die for the sake of world peace in the long run.

#2 Perricos sounds more Greek than Russian.

#3 Dimitri Perricos apparently is Greek. Found some interesting things from a Google search. This link is particularly interesting, as it represents a talk he gave: http://www.isis-online.org/publications/iraq/perricos.html

It's too long to re-post in Comments, but here's the intro of him by David Albright, another inspector (small world, eh?) --

From a meeting of the Institute for Science and International Security, Dimitri is "currently the Director of the Division of Planning and Operations at UNMOVIC in New York. In the early 1990s, he served as the Deputy Leader for Operations at the IAEA Action Team, and served as an inspector in Iraq. In particular, he was the Chief Inspector of the very first inspection in Iraq after the Gulf War. He has also served in several other high-level positions at the IAEA, and has generated a tremendous amount of respect in many communities, particularly at the Agency, for his insights into how to do verification."
