#1 11 days for the state to make its case
vs only 3 days, max, for the defense to make its case.

15 lawyers for the state
1 lawyer for the defense

Trial venue: Minneapolis, surrounded by a violent rampaging mob screaming for the defendant to be drawn and quartered.

We no longer have rule of law in this country.
We are officially a third-world country now

#3 Eventually we're just going to have to create our own justice system. To replace the fake justice kangaroo court 3rdworld system we have now

#4  We no longer have rule of law in this country.

In my part of the country rule of law is just fine, Grampaw B. Hayes5062. Possibly in yours, too, depending on where you live. It’s only in very specific bits that they don’t — along with defunded policing and corrupt voting. The rest of the country is doing pretty well.

#5 As far as conflicting opinions between yesterday's cardiologist and the previous ME witness. When I worked in hospital admin and had to attend Grand Rounds I was told to trust the pathologist because he saw all the screw-ups and knew what actually happened.

#6 Wait... the Jury isn't sequestered now?
Do you make them walk thru the 'mostly peaceful' protesters which surround the courthouse with a huge 'Chauvin Juror' sign around their neck too?
What next, your going to hobble them so they can't run?

#7 The ME and the toxicology report indicate clearly that this douchebag died of a fentanyl OD.

At a minimum, the state has not come close to proving beyond a reasonable doubt that the bantamweight cop's knee on the back of the douchebag killed him

Complete and total farce

True. Just in Minneapolis.
And Portland.
Oh, and New York and Washington DC, too. And Seattle, and, come to think of it, Atlanta, Philadelphia and LA. Oh and Detroit, and...

#9 Remember what we were saying about the No-Go zones in France? Not to mention the Car-b-ques.
This is just the latest French fashion import.

#10 The "three days for the defense" thing is almost certainly the result of the judge asking Chauvin's counsel how long he'll need for his case and being told three days or less. I'm am just reading the occasional summary of the trial, but it would not shock me if the defense simply rested. Fun fact: Chauvin does not have to prove he's innocent.

In theory, yes.

#12 An interesting fact is that the judge empanelled four alternate jurors and hasn't had to use one. You could read that a lot of different ways, but one way is that the original twelve jurors are pretty committed to doing their duty.
