You are correct. The Iranian people are against the Iranian Government (see this link). Sanctions will only oppress the people. Not the Iranian government. But the leftist American Regime in power has very little qualms about things like that. The Mullah's and the Obama Regime are on the same page; Priority One For Them is Power.

#10 Formerly temporary daughter (now a university freshman after graduating a year early from high school, with honours -- yes, I'm very proud!) spent winter break with her father visiting cousins in Iran. Based on her reports, the educated people of Tehran were happily engaged in protests at every opportunity, but if it had moved beyond that neither ftd nor her father noticed any indication of it.
