#1 The fact that several nations have taken the actions noted below speaks volumes to how widespread the "Salafi Jihadist" ideology has become among muslims. So much so that governments of muslim nations feel compelled to counter a movement that has long been out of control, and that has brought unwanted attention from powerful nations like the US and UK. It also shows the true effect our military efforts are having. Our response has been much more potent and lasting than any muslim nation (or terror group) ever imagined. They fear the problems that come from associating with Jihadist groups now outweigh the benefits.
