#2 Getting other countries to distance themselves from the USA is all part of Obama's transnationalist plan. He knows full well the effect this will have.

#3 You know, we talk a lot about Obama being Tranzi-style "Manchurian Candidate" etc.... But, maybe, the solution is much simpler. We know he's a smoker---but is he a smoker of tobacco?

#4 Won't be much of a problem for foreign banks that offer zero interest accounts. There is no 'tax' on no income generation. There was a time the Swiss had negative interest rates. People still put money in because the negativity was less than the loss of the money in the open market at the time. Being stuck holding GM or Chrysler stock and pushed to the back of the line in claims or having a negative interest account in a foreign bank, I think people with money that needs to go someplace would opt for the latter.

#5 Considering how a lot of expat Americans I know supported Obama (three of them currently based in Britain especially), this should be just peachy keen with them. I know they were just clamoring for a chance to declare every single cent they make to the IRS, and now they will finally get that chance!!

#6 Still no talk of going after the 40% of THIS country that doesn't pay taxes. Nail salons, taco stands and chinese restaurants alone would amount to a worthwhile sum.

#7 I don't think the tax man will target minority groups (Vietnamese, Hispanics, and Chinese), but on the other hand the evil Republicans would love to do this to our brown buddies.
