Certainly true, but why take an established, well-loved character from literature and film and re-imagine him as a black guy? Other than "because we can. Neener neener neener!" Bond wasn't the only British secret agent. You're writers, dammit! Show some imagination.

But let it be a black James Bond, carrying on in the current Bond "reality," not some smarmy shithead of the moment playing himself and running his woke minstrelsy checklist. Bond's game... Bond's horrible vengeance on Laser Louise... Bond's endzone dance... all that crap. No. Let the brother play James Bond as James Bond. Time for a brain transplant. And an actual actor. Elba'd probably be fine.
