#1 Cool. Nothing spells NATION like rolling treads and marching boots. Maybe a fly past. Give the left something to whine about until next ~~term~~election. While they deplete their own voter base because it'll trigger them Guaranteed to say something about the military and nazism/fascism.

And remind a directionless, confused generation of their identity. And initiate a trend that not only ups the interest and aspirations of a young generation; maybe not this parade but others after it will surely see more youth applying for the military. From a mass psychology standpoint, it's a great decision. As always, the left, in blind scorn will say he's just impressed by the police republics he visits.

I always wanted to see an American military parade and the effect it has on others. I think the last one was in Bush's time, after or during the war.

#4 I am not of the left. I do give those in the military the highest respect. But I give credit where it is due, to God who gives life and peace, not machines that function to deliver death and destruction, pain and misery. This type of thing gives the world a picture painted with the ugly brush 'Herb' paints us with.

WWII was a just and noble war between Good and Evil. We defeated Evil. But not without a bloody price. Those of that generation that did not die came home with wounds. And an over glorification in many political circles of the American War Machine occured.

That lead to a false image that we must be the global police which resulted our military being handed a stalemate in Korea and defeat in Vietnam.

We have since deposed tyrants but those places are still teaming cesspools of conflïcts because our secular leaders push a godless democracy headed by humanist, liberal masters. If any of our forces in those hot zones attenpt to discuss a different approach to life that would bring peace and tranquility they are reprimanded. We leave the zone to continue to be a seat of satan.

#5 Of course this is only the honest opinion of one American, but one whose ancesters were military and others who were ministers, and all of them agreed that the ministers did more to bring the savage into civilization on the third world wild west American frontier than just the winchester.

But consider the mass of youth who have not seen or even heard of the desperate struggles of an otherwise (mostly) God fearing, peaceful nation against the evil axis machine. You remember how the world was almost lost once. They don't. Anti-war commies and pinko academics, and Herbs clever weed pun have educated their worldview. Young perspectives that are 'nationalist' include the Call of Duty™ and hollywood understanding of the military. A puerile and ultimately self-defeating concept, that the left uses to further discriminate against conservatives. In the absence of a christian standard, eroded by the Dawkins and Hawkings of our age - the military ethos remains the only serious column of respectability and honor that can inspire the current generation. It's not the Ark of the covenant, no. But it's the next best thing.

Add to that the fact that the part of the world that bears malice against America (as an Idea and a country) still consists of under-evolved primates that have no sense of rightness or wrongness. The binary they understand is the fear of facing something insurmountable and the exhilaration of conquest. This is why third world countries make such a fuss about this stupidity. And it is stupidity. From a higher pedestal of thinking. But in the current scenario, for this presidency (which must remain, at any cost) and for a return to conservative priorities, it may be just the thing that works.

The left bombards the masses daily with their shit, in a non-stop campaign to normalize concepts like homosexuality, unreasonable imperatives like murdering infants to make a statement, climate change and world's end, white guilt, the beauty of islam, the degeneracy of christianity...

At this time, a limited shew of a motley bunch of units and standards that have fought the world over for liberty and against madness may be the only thing worth looking forward to, for many people who still love America. It's not too much to ask of yourselves. And there's a great deal of psychological benefit to such a shew, you will see.

#7 In little Wheaton, IL they have been having Big Red 1 equipment in their parades ever since the archives were put in Cantigny Museum The tanks are not used but are all around the grounds of the museum (From WW-1 French mini-tank on to GW-2) Trucks, Jeeps, Half-Tracks etc. are in the parade and still work.

#10 Dron66, even though mankind was created in the image of the Creator the vast majority choose to be their own god. Isaiah made that perfectly clear thousands of years ago. The US became the only nation that was established by puritan Christians and 'strangely' the people of that nation soon were able to fly, to travel on the ground rapidly, walk on the Moon, communicate at the speed of light and passed it on to the world. I do not believe this is just a coincidence.

We will soon know how 'the Great Spirit' thinks of our tank parades.

#11 The one thing that bugs me when the conversation turns to the evil that was WWII is that there is so seldom any followup about what came next.

I was, all too often, told to hide under my desk to practice what most people expected to come...nuclear war with the USSR.

What lead us to assume the role of global police was what happened to Germany at the end of WWII, Poland Czech, Greece, China, Cuba, etc.

#12 The USSR no longer exists. Communism (or Islam) we cannot police. Neither of which could not prevent Israel from becoming a nation again after a 2,000 year diaspora. #13 Communism, islam, tribalism, crime and corruption. All are aspects of the same malady. Forsaking the way of the fathers. America was founded (as VS said) on Unitary christian principles. One nation, under God. There was immense liberty to believe what you wanted, from witchcraft to buddhism, but the substratum of the constitution, the directive principle was the word of God. And everyone from lawmen to judges followed that principle. It is the gradual 'slippage' (Stephen King's word) that has hollowed out character from the institutions themselves. Because American families have switched to other beliefs, the moral education of their children is not to wrestle against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. It is now to be free. Free from guilt(Nothing is your fault), free from the need to better themselves (Love thyself), and free from the control of an unseen deity (There is no God, it's all science).

Those things we've lost will never come back. For people expecting revivals and some cosmic climax, sorry. This world will spiral down into a utopia for the godless, and a hell for the faithful. Until it is washed away by forces beyond it's arrogant control. That is a given.

But while we are alive, and there is still strength in us to fight, we cannot rest on that and lie down. We must keep fighting absolute, physical evil. Sometimes, the appearance of one who fights is ungainly, embarrassing to the masses, the clergies, because he gets in there and gets dirty. Which is why this modern world makes armies and keeps them in bases, differentiating them from civilians. While whitened sepulchres like popes and bishops talk about cosmic evil and interfere in politics, they are all on the side of 'slippage'. Which is again why true christianity is under attack from the enemy.

It is my belief that Donald Trump has not come to power because all of America deserves a good President. He is here because 1.God heard some people's prayers to allow for breathing space while the enemy daily continues to encroach on their freedoms. And 2. For Israel. Call me a fanatic, or plain daft. It's what I think.

#17 Imperial AT-ATs Begin Arriving In Capital For Military Parade

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Ahead of Trump's planned July 4 military parade, several dozen Imperial walkers began to arrive in Washington throughout the week.

The AT-ATs were dropped off by U.S. Space Force Star Destroyers just outside the city and then slowly marched toward the capital (rather than being dropped right next to their target, for some reason). Military bands solemnly played the Imperial March in honor of their arrival. Trump was seen at the White House, pointing excitedly at the looming all-terrain armored transports through an Oval Office window.

"Wow, look at those guys!" he said while gleefully clapping his hands. "Do you think President Xi has any of those? I bet he doesn't. Ha! Guy is probably sooooo jealous right now. And North Korea only has those little chicken walkers! This is definitely the best military parade on the planet!"

He quickly added that he "loves democracy" however.

Some light Antifa resistance attempted to milkshake the walkers but were crushed.

F-22s, a B-2 Stealth bomber YEAH ! from Whiteman Base, Air Force One, two Navy F/A-18Es, 2 Marine MV-22s from Quantico, and the new Sikorsky Marine One VH-92. M1 Abrams tanks and other armored vehicles will be there but may not roll down the road as they could damage it.
