#7 Sheriff David Clarke runs as a 'little d' democrat and is mostly at odds with the super-libel 'new' Dems that run the city and county. The County Supervisor (Chris Abele - a multimillionaire limousine libel of the truest sense) even ran one of his lackeys against the Sheriff, with huge monetary backing, in the last election. Sheriff Clarke didn't raise a fraction of his competitor, yet still won handily.

Lot's of Roosevelt/Truman/ Kennedy dems left in the general Milwaukee population that still want real law and order. Most of the remaining Pubs and Libertarians in the county voted for him too. That's why he keeps getting elected.

#9 Interesting guy and seems to be a no B.S. straight-shooter.

Clarke has been elected three times to the Sheriff's office as a Democrat, despite not belonging to any party. This has spurred criticism from the local Democratic Party.[5]Clarke explains his choice to run as a Democrat thusly on his website:

"Like me, most people question why the Office of Sheriff is a partisan election. I have never asked a person to vote for me because I run as a Democrat. I ask them to vote for me based on my 35-year commitment to keeping citizens safe. Most voters get it when it comes to public safety. There is no Democrat or Republican way to be a sheriff. The enemy is not the opposing party; the enemy is the criminal." Wiki.
