#1 admit that other variables, such as education levels, may also play a role
So are they trying to say that eating spicy food means you're uneducated?

#5 Incidentally, one of the same scientists proved once that capsaicin was linked to better lung health. Probably why those chinese opera singers are all meshugene.

This isn't science. It's just superimposing data from a nutritional anthropology statistic onto another statistic with one or two similar variables. eg: Chinese eat chillies, chinese go senile sooner. Hence chillies linked to senility.

... most commonly used spices in the world [5] with a substantial higher chili intake in Asian compared to European countries [6]. In certain regions of China such as Sichuan and Hunan, almost one in three adults consume spicy food.

They're doing pretty okay compared to Europeans, who have repeatedly proven suicidally dumb, and with successively shorter-term memories every decade.

Still more science. Eat chillies to live longer

#6 More that 50 grams daily is almost 2 ounces. Go look at one of your spice jars. That's a *bleep*load of chili.

The study’s authors say that more research is necessary on the connection between chili pepper and dementia, and admit that other variables, such as education levels, may also play a role in cognitive decline.

tl;dr: single variable studies are generally bullsh!t.

#8 I call bullshit. Known too many people into old age that loved spicy food. The ones that mentally deteriorated that I knew where plain jane folk and the most exotic spice they had was pepper.
