#7 A conspiracy theorist would say ‘they never had a USSS sniper team in place until the Butler rally. Prior to Butler they hoped it would just happen naturally (assassin). Time was ticking so they encourage the stooge to climb the roof and the sniper team was to merely close the loop’. The issue was he missed.

#9 The glaring inexplicable error is that security had known about a suspicious armed person on the premises before Trump's speech even started.

How can it be that knowing about a threat they put their protegee in the crosshairs/didn't immediately usher him off the podium?

I was under the impression that the security protocol in the face of a serious threat would look something like this qualitatively.

Apparently I was wrong.
