#2 Isn't there a federal law against forcing vaccines under EUA on active service military? Not that it matters to oligarchs like Austin or Biden.

Bubba,

There is most certainly such a law. What I think is going to happen is this: there have been hints for a few days now that at least one vaccine (IIRC the Pfizer) will be fully FDA certified by early next month. It's likely that whatever comes down from DOD will take that into account, which gives everybody about 30 days to get whatever vaccine they want, as long as they get one - but after that, they will have no legal reason to refuse. Troops can most certainly challenge it, and doubtless some will, but the DOD's response will be that there is a fully certified vaccine out there, and that's the one they're mandating.

God help us if the Pfizer vax suddenly starts exhibiting bad side effects at ANY point in the future.

#4 Apparently the law I referred to in the previous post has a major "gotcha". I copied this from an Instapundit post today:
Title 10 U.S. Code Sec. 1107(a) provides that the option to refuse an EUA product may be waived "if the President determines, in writing, that complying with such requirement is not in the interests of national security." Then pursuant to Dept. of Defense Instruction No. 6200.2 (issued 2/27/2008) the Secretary of Defense "may ask the President to grant a waiver of an option to refuse." Upon receipt of such request the President then may "waive the option to refuse for administration of the medical product to members of the armed forces."

This massive PDF has details.

#5 Indeed, Pfizer is anticipating having FDA approval sometime in September. so do not expect the mandate to be taking effect until after approval is granted.
unfortunately, Pfizer is also the most difficult to transport and store, so this will lead to more issues in the supply chain. That difficulty makes one wonder if some of the Pfizer vaccination fails were because the vaccine was not stored and transported properly.
