Anyone who claims to be serious about ending this contagion needs to recognize that it is in fact a contagion - diffused by our mass media and especially social media.

We will not see a decline in these outbreaks until and unless we enforce a strict news embargo on the release of info about any mass shooter's identity and "manifesto" or other bid for media glory and immortality.
