#3 It's not a video game and they know it, which is to their credit. It's hard enough to come back to civilization after being out there for six months or a year or more. We ought not be surprised the troops find it more difficult to make the transition each day than if it were just another day at the office.

#4 IMO, a big part of the stress comes from not the killing per se, but the constant nagging fear that a lawyer is going to show up and ruin you after the fact.
