#5 I feel it's a start though. Muslims seem to be caught up in material things, like burning the flag is a big deal to them. While I do agree that there would be some that would just say what Europe wants to hear without meaning it, I feel the majority of them wouldn't state this oath of allegiance to Europe being against what they stand for. If it was understood that all of the muslims that live in Europe give their oath of allegiance to Europe daily in some way and not to Jihad it would be interesting to see how it shakes out. Getting some of them on tape and broadcasting it back home to their families and friends would be good. I doubt many muslims would give their allegiance if they knew they'd be broadcast back home. Not that I feel this group of folks are particularly stellar in backing their own credo, but they are so very religious, I think they wouldn't want to give an oath straying away from killing all infidels. Like I said it's a start, and it would be a good start here in the US too.

#7 I guess I'm reminded of our Denver Nuggets player Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf back in 1996 refusing to stand for the Pledge of Alliegence here in Denver.
