#1 Really?

Any middle grade Commissioned and Non-commissioned officer that has had a troop assignment can tell you the upper brass pushes the political lie about the performance of females. The biggest coverup and assault upon integrity in the culture. Remember the political firestorm when the theater commander in Iraq threatened courts martial for the next females who got pregnant in country? He was dealing in truth and got a sh*tstorm for it.

To be a general officer means you are a politician more than an officer.

#2 Tom Kratman, I think, "You don't advance beyond colonel without playing politics".

#3 By politics they are referring specifically to Democrat/Republican preferences and not the political mechanization within the military.

#4 ...senior posts in DoD are reviewed by the WH.

#5 #3 So does Kratman: Under current law, the Senate does not require the commissions of all military officers to be confirmed, however, anyone being first promoted to major in the Army, Air Force, or Marine Corps, or lieutenant commander in the Navy does require such confirmation

#6 A Boomlet Builds For Retired Admiral William McRaven To Jump Into The Democrat Primary Field

#7 The problem with McRaven and the lot is the same issue I see with movie stars. They think because they are at the top of their profession, they can leverage it into politics. I am not telling them to stay out of politics, by all means run for office, be held accountable by the people. But to say, "I'm a general and I know better than Trump", is about as credible as Cher.

#8 They think because they are at the top of their profession, they can leverage it into politics.

They are all performers given sufficient audience. Even an empty chamber pot, echos.
